(Voltage opens up a live shot of the parking lot area and the sound of several voices shouting can be heard. A team of EAW officials, medical personnel, and both Voltage commissioners, Matt Daniels and Veena Adams, are seen gathered around an unknown person. The camera zooms in and the person who is on the ground being attended to is face down in a pool of his own blood. There is a large gash on the back of this man’s head and his hair has been soaked in blood. The site of this person in such a state even has Veena looking a little pale. The personal tension between Matt and Veena has been temporarily placed on the back burner because when Veena looks up at the Hall of Famer, she’s almost looking for reassurance from him.)
Veena Adams: :lupe: This is bad, isn’t it Matty?
(The EMTs that on the scene are working to stop the blood from pouring from the man’s skull and are bandaging it up. Matt leans on his crutches and sighs.)
Matt Daniels: You’re seeing the same thing I’m seeing. It’s definitely not good. The way his leg is bent I would assume it’s broken as well.
Paramedic 1 (looking up): His kneecap has likely been shattered and torn. Whoever did this targeted the knee before knocking him unconscious.
(Matt and Veena exchange worried looks and the EMTs lower a stretcher beside the victim. They have managed to stop the bleeding for the most part and get the man’s head bandaged and taped up. The paramedic that had been talking to Matt and Veena stands up. That prompts everyone on the scene to take a step back and give the medical team even more room to work.)
Paramedic 1: We are going to go ahead and transport him to nearest hospital.
(Matt looks around and signals one of the interns being groomed to become a production assistant. The girl walks up to them, and it almost looks like she’s trying to hold back tears.)
Matt Daniels: Is it alright if I send Sara in the ambulance? We’re going to need an update on his condition right away.
(The paramedic looks back at his two partners who are in the process of stabilizing the victim and getting him ready to be transported. They nod their consent. Matt turns to Sara.)
Matt Daniels: Go with them and keep me updated on everything you hear.
Sara: :lupe: Yes, sir.
(Sara walks towards the ambulance to wait. Veena bites down on her bottom lip.)
Veena Adams: This has major Pain for Pride implications, Matty. Obviously he can’t compete now.
(Matt scowls and not because Veena is being insensitive. It’s because she’s right and this whole situation has compromised a major match that has already been announced and promoted.)
Paramedic 2: Alright on my count, let’s turn him over and get him on the stretcher. One… two… three.
(The two paramedics working with the victim slowly turn him over and gently place him on the stretcher. The camera zooms in and finally the victim’s face is shown.)
Matt Daniels (sighing once again): This just sums up everything he’s been through the last few months, doesn’t it?
Veena Adams: Even I find this whole situation awfully disturbing.
(The paramedics load the number contender to the National Elite Championship, Daryl Kinkade, into the ambulance as Voltage cuts to the intro.)
(EAW intro plays.)
(Highlights of last week’s amazing episode of Voltage are played. Talib Bari’s ‘Cloth Talk’ featuring Noah Reigner, Impact, and Rex McAllister is one of the primary focuses of the video. Impact would use his Gawd Contract to once again mess around with the PFP match, making it no ropes and adding that the only way to win is via submission! All three men would would also be victorious in their singles matches that night. After the conclusion of the Rex/Lethal Consequences match, Captain Charisma would return and announce LC’s Pain for Pride opponent… a returning Scott Diamond!!! In addition to that, Jack Ripley accepted a challenge for the National Elite Championship at Pain for Pride from Daryl Kinkade. Charlie Marr defeated Korey Gaines and Farrell V to qualify for the Cash in the Vault ladder match. New tag team, The Mechanical Animals, would ultimately take out The Legion and injure Kyie Daniels in the process. Veena Adams would flat out refuse to grant Xavier Williams’ and Cameron Ella Ava’s request for a match at Pain for Pride, and they reacted by destroying the arena’s security staff. And speaking of Veena, she would have her hand forced by the Empire Tag Team Champions, Heavenly Hell, and would place Minerva in a match where she could earn Heavenly Hell a spot in the Unified Tag Team Championship match.)
(Voltage fades into a panoramic view of the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida! Everyone is rocking out to “33rd Blakk Glass” by Sosmula & Zillakami, and just like last week, the special Pain for Pride red and blue pyro explodes from the stage. James Peters and Rich Russillo are sitting behind the booth, and tonight they both wear t-shirts that say “I Was Victimized By The Gawd Contract.” Instead of their usual smiles, both wear somber expressions on their faces.)
James Peters: Unfortunately we have to kick things off on a sour note tonight. About fifteen minutes before we went on air, we were informed about the situation in the parking lot area with Daryl Kinkade. There aren’t a lot of details known at this time, nor do we know who assaulted the number one contender to the National Elite Championship.
Rich Russillo: Last week on this program, Daryl threw down a challenge to the reigning champion, Jack Ripley, and the two set themselves up for what surely would have been a show-stealer between the two of them.
James Peters: Obviously the National Elite Championship match at Pain for Pride is in jeopardy. When we know more, we will update the EAW Universe.
Rich Russillo: That being said, the show must go on.
James Peters: Absolutely, Rich. Tonight’s show is absolutely stacked from the top to the bottom, and vice versa, or whatever the hell you want to say.
Rich Russillo: I am still absolutely shook over the return of Scott Diamond, James. That man was retired by several factors months ago during a match with Diamond Cage.
James Peters: He is literally the last person I ever expected to see, but you heard Captain Charisma last week. Lethal Consequences has a list of enemies and people just wanting to kick his ass, and not even Scott Diamond could pass that up!
Rich Russillo: In addition to Scott Diamond versus Lethal Consequences, another match was set up for Pain for Pride last week.
James Peters: Well… we don’t necessarily know if Cameron Ella Ava versus Xavier Williams is going to happen.
Rich Russillo: It’s already being promoted, but from what we both understand, Captain Charisma and Veena Adams have been fighting over this all week. Veena’s history with Xavier is well documented, and we all know that Adamses and Avas don’t get along under any circumstances.
James Peters: Speaking of Cameron, she will be taking on Charlie Marr in tonight’s main event. Veena’s made this match no disqualification out of pure spite. That should be fun. We all know that Charlie Marr thrives in that kind of environment, but lets not make the mistake of underestimating Cameron. She’s proven time and time again she can get the job done against anyone, in any situation, and I know she’s come out tonight prepared for this fight.
Rich Russillo: There’s also a match happening tonight with major Pain for Pride implications. With the dissolvement of the Empire brand, the Empire Tag Team Championships no longer have a place in EAW, which has left the champions, Constance Blevins and Minerva, demanding the right to enter the Unified Tag Team Championship match. Last week, Heavenly Hell basically manipulated Veena into giving them a chance to at least earn their way into the match.
James Peters: That’s right. Later on, a fatal fourway match will be taking place. If Minerva is able to overcome Thadd Blazevich, Josh Nicholls, and one half of the champions in Xander Payne, then the match at Pain for Pride becomes a winner take all match for both sets of championships!
Rich Russillo: I’m excited for that match. It’s going to steal the show here tonight, I bet.
James Peters: Tonight is huge. I can’t wait to see how it all shakes out. You know that tension is going to be through the roof later on when Scott and LC sit down to make their match at Pain for Pride official. I’m stoked.
Rich Russillo: Same. Stick around folks. We’ll be right back.
(James and Rich grin excitedly into the camera, and Voltage fades to commercial break.)
(Commercial break for Starbucks featuring the Queen of Basic Bitches, Kassidy Heart. Try the new and improved Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappuccino as well as other summer favorites such as the Caramel Ribbon Crunch Frappuccino and the S’mores Frappuccino.)
(‘Here Comes the Boom’ by DMX starts playing as El Landerson comes out to the ring with a smile on his face. He gets his 619 microphone before entering the ring to greet the fans.)
El Landerson: So hello once again to the EAW Universe! As you all may know, I am here once again on Voltage because I have made my decision for Pain for Pride. If you remember last week at Voltage on the EAW Network I had to make a tough decision. This was very hard to choose, but at Pain for Pride, I have decided that I am going to compete… IN THE 24/7 BATTLE ROYALE!
(The crowd begins to cheer at Landerson’s announcement, excited at the possibility of him winning it.)
El Landerson: It was an extremely hard decision to make, but now it’s official! At Pain for Pride I will be in the 24/7 battle royale. I wanted to face Woogieman one last time, but I think it would benefit me more if I go on and win that battle roya-
(‘If You Smell’ by Adam Massacre begins and the fans don’t know whether or not to cheer as the Woogieman walks down the ramp, or boo as El Landerson was cut off. Woogieman walks down to the commentary table and sits down before setting up his microphone)
James Peters: In case any of you has forgotten the Woogieman has come to join us on commentary! So Woogie, what do you think about this announcement from Landerso-
(‘Mob Ties’ by Drake begins to play as Cepheus St. Claire makes his way to the ring to a chorus of boos, with Lonnie Delmonty following behind him.)
Bella Braxton: Making his way to the ring, accompanied by Lonnie Delmonty… Residing in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada… Weighing in at 230 pounds.. CEEEPHEUUSSSS ST. CLAIIIRRREEE!!!!!
James Peters: Wow. That was just rude, but clearly this guy could care less as he’s coming into this match with all the confidence in the world, even though this is only his first match in the company!
Rich Russillo: Yeah, this guy clearly values himself greatly, seeing as he got angry just at Gaines getting his name wrong! And speaking of Gaines, here he comes now!
(‘Thunderstruck’ by ACDC follows as the crowd begins to cheer Korey Gaines as he makes his way down the ramp, with a fixed face on Cepheus St. Claire.)
Bella Braxton: And their opponent.. From Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, weighing in at 170 pounds… KOREEYYYYYY GAAIINNNESS!!!!
James Peters: Korey Gaines has been such a great competitor, even though as of this moment he has yet to win the big one, most recently losing against the Wildcards for the tag team Championships and losing an opportunity to compete in the Cash in the Vault match at Pain for Pride.
Rich Russillo: Yeah, but let’s talk about why Gaines seems to be much more focused on Cepheus. This feud became much more personal as Cepheus went on to constantly bother, and “creep” on Korey’s friend, Silver Ann Gold, something that obviously didn’t sit well with him.
James Peters: Yeah, combine that with everything they’ve said this week to each other, AND El Landerson, this will be a good one.
(Ding! Ding! Ding!)
James Peters: And this match is now underway- AS GAINES GOES STRAIGHT AFTER CEPHEUS! WE’VE SEEN THESE TWO GO BACK AND FORTH ALL WEEK AND NOW GAINES IS UNLOADING ON CEPHEUS! Gaines picking Cepheus up now, AND HE SENDS HIM OUTSIDE OF THE RING! Now it’s only Landerson and Gaines in the ring but Landerson immediately connects with a drop toe hold before putting a headlock in on Gaines! In the meantime, Woogieman what are your thoughts about Landerson’s announcement, since I got so rudely interrupted last time?
The Woogieman: I’m just happy that I am finally going to receive fresh competition. No more Woogieman vs El Landerson.
Rich Russillo: In the meantime Gaines now is making it back to his feet, and now he pushes Landerson into the ropes to break free of the hold, before connecting with a dropkick! Gaines now with the first cover of the match!
ONE-
Rich Russillo: BUT WAIT! THERE’S CEPHEUS ROLLING GAINES UP!
ONE!
TWO!!-
Rich Russillo: BUT GAINES KICKS OUT!- BUT CEPHEUS CONNECTS WITH A KNEE STRIKE, JUST AS GAINES GOT TO A KNEE! Cepheus grabbing Gaines now, AND HE SENDS HIM INTO THE TURNBUCKLES, WITH HIS SHOULDER HITTING THE RINGPOST! Gaines has just been taken out but now Landerson is getting back to his feet! Cepheus turns around and..
James Peters: He has a smile on his face!? He doesn’t seem intimidated at all by Landerson- BUT THERE’S A HURRICANRANA BY LANDERSON, CATCHING CEPHEUS BY SURPRISE! Cepheus seems stunned as he now falls back against the ropes- AND LANDERSON HAS SENT CEPHEUS OUT OF THE RING! Woogieman are you not at all impressed by Landerson still? I mean Cepheus is over 6 feet there’s no way Landerson should be able to reach that high!
The Woogieman: Not anymore. I’ve seen it all James. El Landerson does not impress me anymore, which is why I’m happy to not be facing him at Pain for Pride.
James Peters: That’s fair enough, but here comes Landerson now! BASEBALL SLIDE TO CEPHEU- NO! CEPHEUS CAUGHT HIS LEGS, AND NOW HE PULLS HIM ONTO HIS SHOULDERS, SIT OUT POWERBOMB OUTSIDE OF THE RING! LANDERSON JUST GOT POWERBOMBED BY CEPHEUS OUTSIDE OF THE RING, BUT HERE COMES GAINES, WITH A MOONSAULT PLANCHA RIGHT OVER THE ROPES! BOTH LANDERSON AND CEPHEUS ARE OUT AND GAINES IS THROWING ST. CLAIRE BACK INTO THE RING! CEPHEUS IS ON ONE KNEE AND GAINES IS CHARGING AT HIM! OKIE DESTRO- NO! CEPHEUS MANAGED TO CATCH HIM, AND HE JUST PUT HIM ONTO THE TOP ROPE!
Rich Russillo: Gaines could be in trouble now as Cepheus quickly climbs up! Cepheus hooking the arm now but Gaines is using all his weight to try and prevent Cepheus from hitting this Superplex, BUT HERE COMES LANDERSON! LANDERSON GOING RIGHT UNDER CEPHEUS AND IT LOOKS LIKE HE’S ATTEMPTING A POWERBOMB, but.. He can’t do it!? I don’t think Landerson’s able to hit the Powerbomb on Cepheus, SO HE JUST PULLED THE LEGS OUT FROM UNDER HIM, DROPPING CEPHEUS OFF OF THE TOP ROPE! BUT LOOK, NOW IT’S LANDERSON CLIMBING TO THE TOP ROPE, BUT I DON’T THINK HE’S ATTEMPTING A SUPERPLEX! Landerson now, WITH A TOP ROPE- NO, GAINES WITH A POWERBOMB! I THINK LANDERSON WAS GOING FOR A HURRICANRANA, BUT GAINES JUST MANAGED TO HOLD HIM LONG ENOUGH TO CONNECT WITH A POWERBOMB OFF THE TOP ROPE! LANDERSON’S IN TROUBLE NOW AS GAINES CRAWLS TO THE COVER!
ONE!
TWO!!
THREE-
James Peters: WOW, HOW DID LANDERSON KICK OUT OF THAT!? GAINES CAN’T BELIEVE HIS EYES!
The Woogieman: El Landerson doesn’t give up easily, that is one thing I can respect about him. He does not like to quit, which hopefully is something he and my Pain for Pride opponent will have in common because I want to face the best.
James Peters: Well we’re definitely seeing that here tonight as El Landerson managed to kick out of such a devastating Powerbomb, but now Cepheus is making his way back to his feet, using the turnbuckles to get to his feet. Gaines charging in at him, BUT CEPHEUS MOVES OUT OF THE WAY, AND THERE’S A GERMAN SUPLE- NO! GAINES LANDS ON HIS FEET, AND- HE JUST RAN RIGHT INTO A CLOTHESLINE! Cepheus now with an Irish Whip to Gaines, AND THERE’S A KNEE STRIKE IN THE CORNER! He’s not finished yet as he whips him into the opposite pair of turnbuckles, AND THERE’S A SECOND KNEE STRIKE! Gaines now sent into the third pair, and this seems kinda tedious BUT ONCE AGAIN CEPHEUS CONNECTS WITH A KNEE! Cepheus whips Gaines into the fourth pair of turnbuckles and he has a huge grin on his face, THERE’S THE KNEE! Cepheus calls this the Four Corners of Disdain, and Gaines is out of it right now!
The Woogieman: That seemed like a lot of work but it did get the job done on Gaines. And now St. Claire is going for the pin.
ONE!
TWO!!
THREE-
Rich Russillo: BUT GAINES GETS THE SHOULDER UP! IF YOU LOOK OUTSIDE THE RING YOU CAN SEE LONNIE DELMONTY, CEPHEUS’ MANAGER, IS CLEARLY FRUSTRATED! SOMEHOW THOSE FOUR KNEES COULDN’T PUT GAINES DOWN, BUT HERE COMES LANDERSON, WITH A REVERSE CROSSBODY! CEPHEUS MAY BE IN TROUBLE NOW AS LANDERSON HOOKS THE LEGS!
ONE!
TWO!!
THRE-
Rich Russillo: KICK OUT BY CEPHEUS! BUT GAINES IS BACK- NO! DROP TOE HOLD BY LANDERSON SETS GAINES RIGHT INTO THE ROPES, AND I THINK HE’S GOING FOR IT! TIGER FEINT KI- NO! GAINES GETS OUT OF THE WAY, AND THERE’S A KICK TO THE MIDSECTION! GAINES, WITH THE OKIE DESTROYER! IT CONNECTS! THERE’S THE COVER!
ONE!
TWO!!
THREE!!!-
Rich Russillo: WAIT, CEPHEUS JUST THREW GAINES OUTSIDE THE RING! HE JUST THREW HIM OUT OF THE RING AND NOW HE’S TAKING THE PIN FOR HIMSELF! NO, NOT LIKE THIS!
ONE!
TWO!!
THREE!!!
(Ding! Ding! Ding!)
Bella Braxton: HERE IS YOUR WINNER… CEPHEUS ST. CLAAAAIIIIRRRREE!!!!
James Peters: What a performance by all three men, but you’ve got to admit that was a cheap way to win!
Rich Russillo: Well you’ve got to expect that coming into the match sometimes. Consider all odds. Gaines didn’t and now Cepheus is the winner.
The Woogieman: Well once again Landerson lost. This is why I’m relieved to not have to face him for the hundredth time at Pain for Pride.
(‘Mob Ties’ begins to play once more as Cepheus St. Claire has a huge smile on his face as the referee holds his hand up. Lonnie Delmonty meanwhile also is grinning as he enters the ring, holding up Cepheus’ other hand. Landerson rolls out of the ring, and Gaines looks unhappy as he looks into it, seeing Cepheus as the winner. Woogieman takes off his headset as the scene clears from the ring and he grabs the Big Boogie Bhampionship and holds it up in the air.)
Rich Russillo: Well, I don’t know about you James, but I’m curious AF about who is going to challenge Woogie now for the Big Boogie Bhampionship!
James Peters: I was sure we were going to get another match of the year candidate between Landerson and Woogie, but Landerson has set his sights on the 24/7 Battle Royal this year!
Rich Russillo: You have to think he’s a huge favorite too!
James Peters: Landerson the real GOAT of EAW despite coming up short tonight. Cepheus St. Claire managed to impress and pick up the win in what ended up being a preview match for the 24/7 Battle Royal.
(The camera takes a final shot of Woogie making his way to the back, and fades to commercial break.)
(Commercial break for Panera Bread. Their new and improved menu features strawberry cream cheese made with real strawberries. It pairs perfectly with a sliced and toasted chocolate chip bagel and large dark roast coffee.)
(As Voltage returns from break, “Can I Live” by Jay-Z begins to play. Immediately this brings the crowd to their feet and they let loose a chorus of jeers. That reaction only gets louder as the man himself, Impact, steps onto the stage.)
Rich Russillo: Listen to this crowd, James. They are not happy whatsoever to see the living legend here tonight! This is so disrespectful.
James Peters: Impact hasn’t exactly endeared himself to the masses lately, Rich. Since Grand Rampage he has waved his Gawd Contract in the face of everyone who’s opposed him and it’s definitely rubbed the EAW Universe the wrong way.
Rich Russillo: But here’s the thing. He hasn’t misused it or abused it. If anything, he’s set up a scenario at Pain for Pride that benefits both of his opponents, just as much as it benefits himself.
James Peters: Talk to Lethal Consequences about the Gawd Contract and its fairness.
Bella Braxton: LADIES AND GENTLEMEN… PLEASE WELCOME EAW HALL OF FAMER, IMPACT!!!
(Impact doesn’t react to the negativity of the crowd, which is nothing unusual for him. The 8-time World Champion makes his way to the ring and once he’s standing inside, Bella hands him the microphone and takes her leave. Impact’s music fades out, leaving nothing but the booing of the fans to be heard. Impact closes his eyes for a second and flashes the entire world his most arrogant and condescending smirk.)
Impact: Anybody can get it.
(Impact opens his eyes and lets those words linger in the air for a moment.)
Impact: I said those exact words last week when an entitled brat went on record, crying about the possibility of being ‘fed’ to me. Instead of seizing the moment and being better, and showing everyone why he got signed to this company in the first place, Daryl Kinkade did what he does best and that was squander every opportunity endowed to him on a silver platter. The punk-ass bitch pussy had a chance to step inside the ring with the greatest champion this sport has ever seen and redeem himself from the tear-jerking defeat he suffered back at Fighting Spirit but instead of putting up a fight, he tucked his tail between his pussy and lost the match before he even stepped inside the ring. Sad. That attitude has never gotten anyone anywhere, and constantly playing the victim and begging the masses for sympathy will never win you any kind of respect. I damn sure don’t have any respect for the man I destroyed in this ring last week, and it’s probably for the best that he’s not going to be able to compete at Pain for Pride. No one wants to spend the week listening to a bunch of self-reflective emo garbage that Jack Ripley would verbally rip apart and shit on. Some things just work out for the greater good and only the best of the best deserve a chance to compete at Pain for Pride.
Impact: When it comes to being the best, I think we all know who owns that title. Eight world championships and no signs of stopping, because at Pain for Pride, title reign number nine is going to happen. Throughout the years, and not just on the eight separate occasions that the world championship has decorated my waist, I have exhibited an unrivaled championship mentality. I have always stepped into this ring mentally and physically prepared to compete at the highest level. That’s why I’ve been so successful and have achieved essentially everything a professional wrestler could possibly want. That’s why I was given the illustrious Gawd Contract earlier this season by Mr. DEDEDE. Jealousy is par for the course, and I expected to be met with scorn the second the Gawd Contract was placed in my hands. I’ll admit, I’ve had some fun with it. I have more than earned the right to make creative decisions and fuck with fragile little egos that expect to be mollycoddled like fucking infants and handed everything instead of working their way up the ladder like the rest of us had to when we first started here. There’s so much crying and bitching about being mistreated, and talk of people not getting what they feel they’re owed, and other bullshit that quite frankly just falls on deaf ears. It gets redundant after awhile and people just simply stop giving a shit. Most people become apathetic to emotions and feelings after awhile, and I’m no exception. That’s why I’ve enjoyed throwing the Gawd Contract around lately, and why tonight, I’m going to make one last stipulation to the World Heavyweight Championship at Pain for Pride.
(The crowd collectively groans at this because it’s the last thing anyone wants. Impact merely shrugs at their reaction.)
Impact: It’s a proven fact that I’m the greatest wrestler and champion in history, however I know that both of my Pain for Pride opponents like to blow their own trumpets and carry a similar, and in their case, unmerited braggadocious attitude. That’s why over the last couple of weeks I have been putting together a match that will put both Vanilla Rex and the cunt of a World Heavyweight Champion to the test, and should the unthinkable happen and one of them does emerge victorious, then perhaps the respective cacophonous narratives they both repeatedly spew will hold some kind of weight when the conversation of who the best wrestler happens to be is had. Reigner comes from an ultraviolent type of world where weapon use is encouraged, and lusted over. Rex has competed in several rather extreme situations over the course of these last few months, and shown that he’s not the same competitor who forgot he had a set of balls between his legs instead of a dried up vagina at last year’s show. That being said, the man who emerges victorious at Pain for Pride will have shown that he’s the best WRESTLER in Elite Answers Wrestling. There won’t be any weapon use during the World Heavyweight Championship match. Whatever blood gets spilled during this war is going to come just from pure combat, and when all is said and done, there won’t be any doubt over who the quintessential champion is.
(The smirk returns to Impact’s face.)
Impact: It’s always going to be me and I look forward to capturing my ninth world championship and having the reign I should have had after King of Elite.
(“Can I Live” by Jay-Z begins to blast throughout the American Airlines Arena again, and the crowd reacts accordingly. Impact tosses the mic and exits the ring. The camera switches to James and Rich.)
James Peters: So no rope breaks, submissions only, everyone banned from ringside, and now the use of weapons is prohibited. The World Heavyweight Championship match is going to be contested under an interesting set of rules, Rich.
Rich Russillo: I would say these are pure combat rules, and I’m definitely excited to see how it plays out. In my opinion, Noah Reigner has more than shed the label of a deathmatch or backyard wrestler; whatever you want to call that style. He’s definitely evolved into one of the best technical athletes we have here thanks to his association with Combat Church.
James Peters: I definitely agree and what Rex is able to do in the ring is pure magic. It’s hard to argue that there’s any wrestler more technically sound than the former two-time world champion, and I definitely think he has a huge advantage under these circumstances.
Rich Russillo: I would say it puts all three of them on pretty equal ground, which is why I stand firm in my belief that Impact hasn’t abused his power in this situation. I know people on social media haven’t been too thrilled with the fact he’s controlled every aspect of this match.
James Peters: Well I don’t think his opponents have been too thrilled about it either.
Rich Russillo: It makes things more interesting though, doesn’t it?
James Peters: I can’t argue with that, Rich. (James pauses before he continues speaking.) As of right now, we still have no official word on the condition of Daryl Kinkade. Daryl was scheduled to take part in the next match, which would have pitted him against newcomer David Gibson of The Mechanical Animals. Obviously that match has been cancelled due to what happened right as we were coming on air. So when we return from break, we are going to have special exclusive from EAW reporter, Kathy Kush. She is going to break down this year’s Cash in the Vault participants. This match is always one of the most anticipated matches of Pain for Pride weekend and this year’s match is no exception. It features an interesting mix of EAW rookies, past Cash in the Vault competitors, and two Voltage kings who have already been called future world champions.
Rich Russillo: Not that we are biased whatsoever towards The Visual Prophet and Charlie Marr.
James Peters: #KingsOnly
(James smiles cheekily into the camera and Voltage fades to the backstage area. The scene opens inside the office the belongs to the co-commissioners. Matt and Veena are both inside, with Matt sitting behind the desk and his crutches leaning against the corner. Veena is sitting in a chair that is sat in front of the desk. Both of them look a little stressed out and that’s understandable given the situation with Daryl Kinkade earlier.)
Veena Adams: I just don’t understand how no one saw anything. There are like cameras and security everywhere, and I just find this whole situation so unbelievable.
Matt Daniels: It reminds me of the fuckery that happened at the end of Road to Redemption with Noah and the stolen briefcase. No one wanted to speak up and admit they saw what happened. It’s par for the course around and you know how people are. Eventually someone is going to speak up and claim it, and we’ll deal with that when the time comes. There’s several people we can point the finger at, but that’s not going to change what happened.
Veena Adams: Absolutely. Look Matty, I know things between us aren’t exactly kosher. We have been fighting all week about about the match you insist on having at Pain for Pride between Xav and the whore, and we’re gunna get back to that, but I think right now we need to figure out what the hell to do about the National Elite Championship. That title has to be defended at Pain for Pride, and low key, I wanna see Ripley challenged. He has done nothing of merit since winning that championship except say the same tired shit he’s always said. He’s not ever going to evolve or reach his full potential because he simply doesn’t know how to carry himself as a champion.
Matt Daniels: :skip: Jack has done a great job since winning that championship off of Jackson Blayde.
Veena Adams: Has he? What’s so different about this version of Ripley as opposed to the ungrateful version of him that my uncle placed in the 1%?
Matt Daniels: You mean besides the obvious?
Veena Adams: Please. A leopard never changes its spots, and Ripley is a desperate, pathetic individual. He’s never been able to make a go of this as a singles competitor and to save himself the humiliation of losing yet another championship prematurely, I’m sure he’s responsible for what happened to Daryl tonight.
Matt Daniels: … did you just accuse Jack of assaulting and injuring Daryl? I thought we weren’t going to point fingers.
Veena Adams (shrugging): He likely ended the man’s career tonight, Matty. You heard Sara when she called us earlier with an update. Daryl’s knee is completely destroyed. He will likely never wrestle again. I would fire Jack for compromising such a huge Pain for Pride match.
Matt Daniels: While I don’t believe for a second that Jack had anything to do with the attack on Daryl Kinkade, we’re not going to get into a conversation about people meddling in matches that are huge for Pain for Pride. You are letting your personal feelings cloud your judgment when it comes to Xavier and Cameron, so do you really want to have this conversation now?
(Veena bristles and sticks her nose up in the air.)
Veena Adams: No. We need to figure out a solution for the National Elite Championship because Jack is defending it no matter what.
Matt Daniels: Alright then.
(The conversation between Veena and Matt continues as Voltage fades into a break.)
(Commercial break for banana bread. There is nothing better than banana bread… until some angel gives you a slice of it for free.)
(The scene opens up inside EAW Headquarters in New Jersey. Reporter and backstage interviewer, Kathy Kush, is seated behind a news anchor style desk, with a large monitor to her left.)
Kathy Kush: Ladies and gentlemen, we are less than two weeks away from EAW’s premiere event, Pain for Pride. Two nights ago on Dynasty, the field for one of the most exciting matches of the entire weekend was set, and of course I’m referring to the Cash in the Vault ladder match. The prize for that match is a contract for a world championship match of the winner’s choosing whenever they want to quote ‘cash it in.’
(Kathy beams and turns to the monitor. The scene fades into a Cash in the Vault hype video.)
(The scene cuts back to Kathy.)
Kathy Kush: As you can see, this year’s field includes an impressive mix of former Cash in the Vault competitors, EAW rookies, and talent that have already been deemed future world champions. Tonight, I’m going to break down each competitor for you, starting with the rookies in this match; Vic Venom and Adam Graves from Showdown, and Harlow Reichert from Empire.
(An official EAW promotional still of Harlow flashes on the monitor.)
Kathy Kush: When Harlow Reichert stepped on the scene almost a year ago, I don’t think anyone would have quite believed she would have a one-in-eight shot of winning Cash in the Vault. Her attitude was atrocious, and there were questions constantly surrounding her about whether or not she would even get to this point. Rumors swirled about a potential release, and there was talking of quitting, however the Christchurch, New Zealand native somehow found a new lease on her EAW life by chance. All it took was a single meeting with EAW Hall of Famer, Xavier Williams, and Harlow slowly matured into an entirely different competitor before our very eyes. Even with an injury and a few other minor setbacks, the woman who dubbed herself ‘Miss No Fucks Given’ blossomed into a full-fledged force inside the ring. With Xavier being a former Cash in the Vault winner himself, I feel like Harlow’s chances in this match are as good as anyone’s. She has admitted several times over that she doesn’t necessarily care for the more extreme aspects of wrestling, but something tells me that when a prize is on the line such as that world championship contract, Harlow will find a way to love the match type and completely rise to the occasion. Experts won’t give her much of a chance to pull this victory out, but Harlow could end up being a dark horse pick.
(The next promotional still to flash across the monitor is that of Vic Venom.)
Kathy Kush: The first of Showdown’s trio in this match is none other than Vic Venom. Despite only being with EAW for a few weeks, this impressive talent has managed to garner quite a reputation for himself. The diehard fans of this sport will remember his father, who more than a decade ago, was a dominant force in the now defunct promotion, the Global Wrestling Alliance. GWA was one of the biggest wrestling organizations in the world at its respective time, and Vic’s father, Scott Venom held the company’s top championship on multiple occasions. Even if Vic did sever ties with his father, that championship pedigree doesn’t just go away. The talent doesn’t disappear. This man has all the potential in the world, and as long as he just keeps his head down and works hard, there’s no reason why he couldn’t one day become a world champion. Will that day come sooner rather than later? If Vic wins the briefcase at Pain for Pride it certainly could. We have all seen how a successful cash-in can change the life of an Elitist. Last year, reigning and defending World Heavyweight Champion, Noah Reigner, won this match and would go on to capture Rookie of the Year honors and eventually the title he will defend come Pain for Pride. It’s not entirely out of the realm of possibilities that Vic could do the same thing. I’m very excited to see what this man brings to the table for the biggest show of the year and I know the EAW Universe is going to be hanging on this unpredictable man’s every word.
(A promotional still of Adam Graves flashes onto the monitor. Kathy blushes ever so slightly, but quickly recovers.)
Kathy Kush: We stan a gorgeous man, but ahem, let keep this professional. Last night on Showdown, Adam Graves won a huge CiTV preview match when he defeated Damon Diesel. The raw power and strength of this man is impressive to say the least. The Kodiak Killer will be the biggest, strongest competitor in the match and that fact could either help him or hurt him. No matter what, Adam will likely be a huge target for everyone else in the match. A smart strategy would be to try and take him out early, or at the very least limit his mobility. At a sexy 6’7”, he won’t have to climb all the way up the ladder just to snatch the briefcase, and if he’s allowed to run wild in this match, he will be able to destroy everyone else he’ll be inside the ring with. I think there is a lot more to Adam Graves than meets the eye, and that’s not necessarily a good thing. He definitely has the potential to hit another level, and thus far in EAW he has not been pushed to that limit. I know that Cash in the Vault is going to provide us with the chance to see just what type of competitor this man truly is. He is likely going to be one of the most ruthless and dangerous individuals in this match. Anyone with even half a heart will feel for the rest of the competitors in this match because at some point all of them are going to have to deal with Adam, I’m sure. I would definitely say he is one of the top picks to win this match.
(Damon Diesel is the next Elitist to have their promotional still flash on the monitor.)
Kathy Kush: Rounding out Showdown’s trio is none other than Damon Diesel. Damon is a wildcard in this match because you never truly know what you’re getting with him. He’s competed for championships on multiple occasions and despite being one of the most talented Elitists in the company, he just can’t seem to put it all together when it matters the most. Damon’s career has been extremely up and down, and it’s really unfortunate because there are a lot of people who root for him and want to see him succeed. A win at Pain for Pride could definitely turn things around and give him a chance to enter Season 13 with a clean slate, and more momentum than ever before. All those disappointing losses Damon has faced throughout the course of his career will be erased if he is able to secure himself a chance to become world champion. Damon brings some experience into this match, having competed at Pain for Pride last year in a match for the New Breed Championship. I will say this, though, this match is perhaps the biggest of Damon’s career. If he wants to win it, he is going to have to bring absolutely everything he has in his arsenal to the table. Damon needs to show everyone why he was signed to EAW, and why he’s someone they shouldn’t sleep on especially going into the draft and next season.
(The next promotional still to flash across the screen is that of the charming, blue eyed, bearded beauty Charlie Marr. Kathy scowls.)
Kathy Kush: As much as it pains me to admit this, Voltage’s resident sexist Charlie Marr is likely one of the biggest favorites going into this match. Since splitting with his tag team partner earlier this year, Charlie has been on an absolute tear. It doesn’t matter who steps into the ring against the man who’s dubbed himself ‘Main Event Marr’, they have all been meet with the same fire and intensity from Charlie. He’s definitely a man who thrives in these types of situations. If there are weapons involved and no rules to abide by, Charlie Marr is in his element. There is nothing he won’t do in order to pick up a victory, and with a world championship contract on the line, I shudder to think about the lows he will stoop too. Charlie competes with the absolute desperate of someone who wants to accomplish their goals by any means necessary and that makes him so incredibly dangerous. He also has big match experience which definitely plays into his favor. Charlie holds victories over several big names in EAW and he shows absolutely no signs of slowing down anytime soon. Charlie has been labeled a future world champion and even if he doesn’t win Cash in the Vault at Pain for Pride, I would place money on this man somehow wearing world championship gold next season.
(The Visual Prophet’s gorgeous promotional still is the next one to show up.)
Kathy Kush: And honestly, even though he’s a rookie, The Visual Prophet is no doubt a front runner in this match as well. Unlike the rest of his fellow CiTV competitors, Viz was gift his spot in this match by Voltage Co-Commissioner, Veena Adams. The partnership between the two of them has been mutually beneficial to say the last, and it’s hard to argue against Viz winning this match. Looking past the antics and the company he keeps, the man is an extremely gifted athlete who performs at the highest level. Like his Voltage peer Charlie Marr, Viz has also being touted as a future world champion next season. It must be something in the catering over on Voltage because they just breed excellence over there. That makes me sound like biased Voltage trash, so really, my apologies for that. In the short time this version of The Visual Prophet has been on the roster, he’s put together winning streaks, a New Breed Championship run, and has made more of an impression on the EAW Universe than any quote ‘rookie’ in recent memory. Viz has shown he’s not afraid to take risks or get his perfectly manicured hands dirty, and those traits are going to come in handy in such an unpredictable match like this. I’m extremely excited to see what Viz does in a match like this because absolutely anything goes and he will do anything he has too in order to win.
(A promotional still of Lucas Johnson pops up next.)
Kathy Kush: This brings us to our final two competitors, and also our two returning Cash in the Vault competitors. Last year, Lucas Johnson didn’t have the best time in this CiTV match. Sure, he was one of the most talked about athletes from the match when all was said and done, but not for reasons he would have liked. There was a horrific spot during last year’s match where Lucas found himself set on fire and nearly burned alive. How he managed to survive that and keep fighting is something all members of the EAW Universe have to admire, and we all know that Lucas is looking for redemption this year. He wants that Pain for Pride moment, and with the backing of Albert Hitchman and Feral Khan, you have to think that if there was ever a time that Lucas was going to finally get himself a statement victory, it would be in front of his hometown crowd. Lucas is going to come into the match with the pressure placed squarely on his shoulders, and we’re going to see if he is able to rise to the occasion. Lucas Johnson and Albert Hitchman talk a lot of shit, for lack of a better term, and they are going to have to put up or shut up at Pain for Pride. Lucas is either going to have the career defining moment he’s been searching for or he is going to suffer the most heartbreaking loss of his career. Time will tell which one it’ll be, but I won’t count him out. Again, everyone has a one-in-eight shot at winning this and as strange as this sounds, Lucas has survived so many ridiculous matches and situations. He’s been set on fire, he’s taken an actual chainsaw to the neck back at Road to Redemption. He’s been buried alive. But he’s still alive, he’s still fighting, and damn. He still has the most incredible sense of belief in himself. I don’t get it, but it’s truly impressive.
(The final promotional still belongs to the former New Breed Queen, Raven Roberts.)
Kathy Kush: And last, but not least is perhaps the sentimental favorite going into this match. I know that Raven Roberts isn’t the type of woman to look for sympathy, but you have to feel for everything this woman has gone through this season. Last year’s Pain for Pride was heartbreaking for Raven as she lost the Empire Tag Team Championships and Cash in the Vault, and since then she has definitely been on a rollercoaster ride of emotion and momentum. Her struggles to win the Unified Women’s World Championship have been well documented. Twice, Raven has been screwed out of winning that championship by circumstances beyond her control, and those losses have hurt her. Raven has always been someone who’s work ethic is second to none, and the passion she brings with her to the ring is almost unrivaled. She has stated time and time again what it would mean to her to win a world title, and she’s another person we have gotten a chance to watch grow and evolve over the course of the last 12-months. Raven hasn’t always been someone the fans want to root for, but she’s definitely someone all of us care about now. If Raven can channel her feelings and keep a positive attitude going into CiTV, then she will be a force to be reckoned with. We have already seen the Bird of Prey stand up against everyone this company has put her against, and win or lose, she has always looked like a dominant, badass bitch. Truthfully, even I’m pulling for Raven because I love a good redemption story. She was so close last year in terms of winning the match, and if she is able to capture the briefcase this year, then she can just take the world championship that’s been kept from her thus far.
(The image of Raven fades and is replaced with a match picture featuring all eight competitors and a ladder. Kathy once again flashes the camera her bright smile.)
Kathy Kush: This year’s Cash in the Vault ladder match is no doubt going to be one of the most competitive matches in recent history. We have eight different but equally special competitors and all of them are going to walk into Mercedes-Benz Stadium with one goal in mind and that’s to win that briefcase. They each have their own story and their own reasons for wanting to win. The match itself is going to be brutal and bloody, and when all is said and done, whoever ends up winning it will be the most deserving of being called the 2019 Cash in the Vault winner.
(Kathy signs off and the scene fades to black.)
(The scene at EAW headquarters fades out and returns to the lockerroom area, more specifically the lockerroom of the World Heavyweight Champion, Noah Reigner. All of House Reigner is in attendance tonight despite the fact Noah is not scheduled for a match. Cameron Church and Evelyn Ridley stand side by side in one corner of the room, while Oskar Wagner is sitting in a metal chair. They are all watching Noah pace the floor, which is something he’s been doing since Impact’s latest announcement regarding the World Heavyweight Championship match at Pain for Pride.)
Cameron Church: This isn’t a bad thing, mate. No need to wear a hole in the floor. Every single stipulation put in place favors you in some kind of way. You have a chance to truly silence any and all doubters come Pain for Pride.
(Evelyn shoots Cameron a weary look and lets out a sigh.)
Evelyn Ridley: It’s the principal of the thing, Cam. Impact is playing God and getting away with it, and if anyone should be controlling this situation it’s Noah. He is the undisputed World Heavyweight Champion, and he has held that title since the beginning of February. He has more than earned the right to call the shots and dictate to everyone exactly how this match is going to go. If Impact was every bit as good as he claims to be, then he would have seen Noah cashing in after a Barbed Wire Massacre match coming from a mile away. He would have been able to find a way to stop Noah from achieving his destiny of winning the title, but the fact is he didn’t. He doesn’t get to come back and use his shitty piece of paper to pull everyone’s strings because he’s a bitter little fuck of a man. Noah is not a fucking puppet.
(Noah stops pacing and turns to face his team.)
Noah Reigner: Here’s the thing. I’m not fucked about any of these stupid stipulations. I’m extremely confident in my abilities inside the ring. I’m one of the best pure strikers on this roster, and I can go toe-to-toe with the best in this business when it comes to pure wrestling. Impact knows I’m better than him, and when I defeat him and Rex both at Pain for Pride, I look forward to putting all this bullshit behind me and having fresh competition for Season 13. I’m so sick of having to prove myself to oldheads who can’t hack it anymore inside the ring with this new generation of EAW talent. I feel like I’m stuck in a never ending cycle of humbling old fucks and doing the same fucking thing over and over. I’m the World Heavyweight Champion because I’m damn near untouchable inside that ring. My record shows that I’m practically unbeatable and Impact and his Gawd Contract can literally get fucked.
(Noah pauses.)
Evelyn Ridley: I know that look on your face….
Cameron Church: Noah…
Noah Reigner: Karlisle needs to be humbled and I’m really not in the mood to wait until Pain for Pride to do it.
(Noah motions at Oskar, who stands up. Cameron and Evelyn exchange looks with one another.)
Evelyn Ridley: What are you planning, Noah?
Noah Reigner: I’m going to show the eight-time loser just how little respect I have for him and the fucking Gawd Contract. If he wants to throw his weight around and act like he’s above me just because he’s been here for a million years, then I’m going to show him what happens when you continuously disrespect me and what I’ve accomplished. There are two men who deserve to headline Pain for Pride on the Voltage side, and Karlisle Jeremiah is not one of them. I work my ass every single day and have been a fighting champion. I’ve never shied away from any challenges and have met everyone who’s opposed me head on and with more fucking fire than they were prepared. I beat the National Elite Champion cleanly last week, proving my superiority over someone who is likely going to challenge for a world championship in the near the future, and I just continue to line up and shoot down every single challenge that is thrown at me. I speak about being the best, because I am the fucking best. There’s not a man or woman in Elite Answers Wrestling who can say the same as long I’m here, and that is the fucking truth.
(Noah turns and heads for the door of the lockerroom as the behemoth Oskar follows him. Once the door slams shut, Evelyn turns to Cameron. She looks a little concerned.)
Evelyn Ridley: Should we follow him?!
Cameron Church: Do you think we should?
Evelyn Ridley: Honestly? I really don’t know. I know Noah better than anyone and when he gets that look in his eyes, he’s gone somewhere even I don’t want to be. He’s dealt with a lot of shit and scrutiny throughout his career and even Noah has his breaking point. I think he’s finally reached it when it comes to Impact and this entire situation.
Cameron Church: I was curious to see how he would handle the pressure of his first headlining Pain for Pride. I guess I’m about to get my answer.
Evelyn Ridley: :lupe:
(The camera takes a final shot of a worried Evelyn and bemused Cameron before cutting to commercial break.)
(Commercial break for Boxy Charm featuring the Unified Women’s World Champion, the unfuckwithable and uncomparable Sienna Jade. Watch Sienna unbox June’s Boxy Charm on her Instagram and SnapChat!)
(Voltage returns to the backstage area. Sofia Clarke is seen standing by with none other than the two-time World Heavyweight Champion, Rex McAllister. Sofia looks up at Rex and flashes him a smile.)
Sofia Clarke: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guest at this time, the two-time World Champion, Rex McAllister!
(The camera zooms in on Rex, who reacts by giving a curt nod of his head.)
Sofia Clarke: Now Rex, for last few weeks, one of your Pain for Pride opponents, Impact, as been using his Gawd Contract to mess around with the World Heavyweight Championship match that will be taking place at the big show. Even you have admitted that you’ve directly benefited from the power of that piece of paper, seeing as how that’s how you ended up in this position in the first place. But what are you thoughts about everything else that Impact has done so far?
(A thoughtful look crosses Rex’s face and he just shakes his head.)
Rex McAllister: I have a lot of thoughts as it pertains to Impact’s use of his Gawd Contract, but we’ll start with what happened at back at Fighting Spirit. I did directly benefit from Impact’s abuse of power, and I’m not ashamed for that fact. There’s not a single man on this roster who deserves to headline Pain for Pride more than this Elitist. I’ve had a few setbacks this season, especially after losing the World Heavyweight Championship back at King of Elite, but I have remained devoted and committed to being the best and bringing out the best in every single one of my opponents. The losses I’ve taken have been surrounded with controversy, but I get it. They’re still losses at the end of the day and have only made me stronger and hungrier to get back to the top. Grand Rampage would have been one of the biggest achievements in my career, and I’m not going to lie. That one hurt. I gave that match everything I had inside of me and when I hit the floor, the pain I felt was much more than physical. Seeing Jamie celebrate that victory is something that will stick with me for awhile because I wanted that victory just as badly. That’s how I wanted to EARN my shot at Noah’s World Heavyweight Championship.
(A little smile touches Sofia’s lips.)
Sofia Clarke: I sense a ‘but’ in there…
Rex McAllister (grinning in spite of himself): BUT some people will argue that I was gifted with this opportunity. They won’t look at my overall body of work this season and trust the fact I belong in the match and would have no doubt found a way in it. I fully believe that I would be headlining Pain for Pride no matter how it happened, and it definitely wouldn’t have been because of favoritism either. (Rex rolls his eyes.) Since last year’s draft, I have carried the weight of Voltage on my shoulders and have never buckled under the pressure of that. Even with Noah Reigner and his Cash in the Vault briefcase lurking around every corner, I kept my composure and never approached my challenges any differently. I know how quickly things can change around here. You can go from zero to hero to zero again in the blink of an eye. That’s why I’ve always maintained the hardest work ethic in this company and kept going no matter what hand I got dealt. I’ll never be defined by failure, only successes, because you can’t truly appreciate what you achieve unless you taste defeat. It makes me work harder and push myself past my limitations and that’s why I’m the very best in the world at my craft. That’s why I know I would be headlining Pain for Pride no matter what, and that’s why in just a couple of weeks I’m going to be starting my third reign as a world champion here in Elite Answers Wrestling.
Sofia Clarke: As far as the match itself goes and Impact’s use of the Gawd Contract on it… where do you think he’s going with this? So far, nothing he’s set up really favors him. Why do you think he’s messed around with it so much?
Rex McAllister: Because he can? Impact loves power and he loves being in control. It’s easy to see what he’s doing. He wants to build this match under the guise of Noah and my wants and needs, so he can step into the ring and defeat us both under these unique circumstances. How many times this year have we had to listen to the same redundant argument that Noah Reigner can’t win a match without help? How many times has everyone told him he doesn’t belong here and he’s never truly earned anything he’s gotten in this company? How many times has last year’s Pain for Pride been thrown in my face? It doesn’t matter that I’ve more than proven myself in adverse situations since then. People will always remember that one moment and use it to cut me to my soul. They’ll look at my match with Daryl, and say that I should have been prepared for a desperate man to resort to desperate tactics. So in Impact’s fucked up way, he’s given Noah a chance to prove he can do this on his own. He’s given me a chance to show the world I won’t make the same mistakes twice. And for Impact, it’ll be the ultimate victory to expose Noah as a champion who’s skated by on an opportunistic cash in and weak title challengers, and to defeat me in a pure wrestling setting since I’m the best technical wrestler in the world. If I weren’t involved, I would find this whole situation compelling.
Sofia Clarke: I know that it went around on social media this week that The Killshot and The Rex Effect were in fact banned from the match. That’s not the case. The only way to win the match is by submission.
(Rex’s smile turns a little sly.)
Rex McAllister: Correct, although with no ropes I suppose The Rex Effect wouldn’t be as effective as usual. No ropes, submissions only… it’s whatever to me. The fact is, I’m more than ready for Pain for Pride. I have waited an entire year to get another chance at this and now that it’s here, I’ll be ready. It doesn’t matter what the circumstances are that got me here. But I’ll say this. Impact’s massive ego has gotten the best of him in this situation. He’s facing two people who despise him and want nothing more than wipe the smugness right off his face. If he thinks he’s going to be able to defeat both Noah and myself under these conditions, then he’s in for a rude awakening on the grandest stage in professional wrestling. At Pain for Pride, karma is going to be an even bigger bitch than Impact is.
Sofia Clarke: :wow: Thanks for time tonight, Rex.
(Rex nods again and heads out of the picture. The camera dramatically closes in on Sofia’s expression before fading back to the ringside area.)
(Bella flashes the camera a bright smile and raises the microphone to her perfectly glossed lips.)
Bella Braxton: The following contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first!
( ‘Cathedral (w/Clock intro)’ by WCPM blares throughout the arena as the crowd begins to stand. Sabin Richards steps onto the stage and is accompanied by his tag team partner David Gibson and manager Joseph Gracons )
James Peters: If you have yet to enlighten yourselves on the Mechanical Animals, they have a unique standard when it comes to professional wrestling. They call the squared circle sacred and you can imagine what it would be like to remove a person from their sacred grounds. Sabin Richards definitely won’t go down without a fight tonight!
Bella Braxton: INTRODUCING FIRST!! Accompanied to the ring by David Gibson and Joseph Gracons, from Junon, Netherlands, weighing in at 227 pounds… SAAAABBBBINNNNN RIIIICCCCHHHHARDDDS!!!!!
(After a few seconds of silence, ‘Stitch’ by Wage War blasts through the speaker, prompting Jack Ripley to make his appearance. Ripley walks down the ramp with confidence as the crowd cheers him on.)
Rich Russillo: Speaking of individuals who won’t go down for a fight, Jack Ripley embodies that die-hard attitude. There is a reason why he is the EAW National Elite Champion and tonight, he will prove why he holds it.
Bella Braxton: AND HIS OPPONENT! From Las Vegas, Nevada, weighing in at 202 pounds…. HE IS THE NATIONAL ELITE CHAMPION!!!! JAAAACCCCKKKKK RIPPPPPLEEEY!!!!
( DING! DING! DING! )
Rich Russillo: Jack Ripley standing in the corner opposite of Richards, stretching as both men begin to meet in the middle of the ring. They engage in a collar-and-elbow tie-up, Ripley uses his power, forcing him towards the corner as the referee attempts to separate them. Ripley lets go of the hold, walking backwards as Richards gets out of the corner.
James Peters: They both circle around the ring, quick on their feet, engaging in another collar-and-elbow tie up. Richards immediately transitions it into an armlock and proceeds to wrap his arms around the waist of Ripley. Ripley slaps the wrists of Richards, releasing the waist hold, grabs his head, pulls him down and traps Richards into a headlock!
Rich Russillo: Ripley tightening the hold as Richards traps his head with head scissors and prompts Ripley to kip-up to his feet. Richards makes his way up to his feet and charges into Ripley. RIPLEY WITH A HUGE CLOTHESLINE, TAKING RICHARDS DOWN!!! Richards immediately gets up, walking into another clothesline from the National Elite Champion!
James Peters: Richards gets up again, but this time Ripley takes him down with an arm drag! But Richards switches it around and drags Ripley into the ground! Ripley quickly gets up to his feet and runs into Richards. Richards dodges Ripley, causing him to run into the ropes and back. RIPLEY JUMPS OVER RICHARDS AND ROLLS HIM DOWN INTO THE MAT!
Rich Russillo: Sunset flip roll as Ripley rolls onto his feet, grabbing the legs of Richards and flipping him over his back and running into the ropes! HE REBOUNDS!!! RIPLEY FLIPS OVER THE LEGS OF RICHARDS, TURNING AROUND AS RICHARDS JUMPS INTO HIM!!! AND SENDS HIM REELING OUT OF THE RING WITH A HURRICANRANA!!
James Peters: The champion in trouble as he leans on the apron at ringside. Richards does not intend to leave him anytime to recuperate as he runs the ropes! RIPLEY INSERTS HIMSELF BACK INTO THE RING AND INTERCEPTS RICHARDS!!! WITH A CLOTHESLINE THAT ALMOST DECAPITATES SABIN RICHARDS!!! Ripley goes in for the cover!

RICHARDS WITH A BICYCLE KICK, SENDING SPIT OUT OF THE MOUTH OF RIPLEY!!

THREE!!!!
( The crowd reacts with an eruption as ‘Stitch’ by Wage War begins to play. Jack Ripley gingerly makes his way up to his feet, helped up by the referee as he raises his arm in fashion. )
Bella Braxton: HERE IS YOUR WINNER….. JAAAACKKK RIPPLEYY!!
Rich Russillo: Jack Ripley has just proven why he deserves to hold the National Elite Championship! Both Ripley and Richards went to war, but Ripley is the man who walked out of this battle victorious!
James Peters: You are absolutely right Rich, this match was a great example of EAW’s brutality and competitive standards. Sabin Richards with a career-defining performance here on Voltage and Jack Ripley continue his road of dominance with the EAW National Elite Championship on his shoulder.
(All three members of The Mechanical Animals make their way backstage. David and Joseph are helping Sabin to the back after the amazing match. The National Elite Champion has been given his belt, and has also asked Bella for the microphone. His music fades out and the crowd continues to applaud Jack for his well earned victory tonight.)
Jack Ripley: It’s crazy how fast things change here in Elite Answers Wrestling. When I was fired from Dynasty and given a place on Voltage, I wasn’t as grateful as I probably should have been. I carried a lot of anger with me, but over time and due to unfortunate situations beyond my control, I have been humbled and have learned to adapt to whatever hand this business deals me. Earlier tonight, Daryl Kinkade was attacked and left for dead in the parking lot, and from my understanding we won’t be seeing him in EAW again any time soon. I was looking forward to facing off against Daryl at Pain for Pride, and erasing the loss I took to him a few weeks ago thanks to Oskar Wagner. That’s why I accepted the challenge he threw down, not to mention I made a promise to everyone, including myself, that I would be a fighting champion. That being said, I’m not about to let Pain for Pride pass me by. Last year in my hometown, I won the 24/7 Battle Royal and cashed that contract in on the Hardcore Championship. Of course that title would become the PURE Championship, and it was my first singles championship here in EAW. When I lost that title, I wasn’t sure how I would rebound, and to make a long story short, my journey has led me here. I’m not sure if Captain Charisma and Veena Adams have a replacement contender in mind and if they do, then great. But I want to go on record and state that I’ll put my title up against anyone. I want to compete at Pain for Pride and defend my championship, and I invite anyone to step up and take Daryl’s place.
(Having spoken his mind, Jack lowers the microphone and his theme music once again begins to play. The National Elite Champion raises his title high in the air as the audience cheers.)
James Peters: I wonder who’s going to step up and face Jack now, Rich?
Rich Russillo: You guess is as good as mine, James. I’m gutted though. I’m going to miss the fuck out of Daryl and I hope he’s able to overcome the odds and find his way back here someday. There’s no doubt he was well on his way to becoming a champion in some capacity, and he was another Voltage Elitist that people were expecting to hold a world championship. This situation sucks and it’s not fair.
James Peters: I agree with you. To switch gears really quick, we’re about to head to break. When we return Scott Diamond and Lethal Consequences will sit do-
(James is cut off mid-sentence by the lights inside the American Airlines Arena dimming. Jack’s music is abruptly cut, which stops the champion as he is getting out of the ring. The video tron cuts on.)
Rich Russillo: … what is this?
(A video begins to play.)
(The fans are buzzing as the video fades out.)
James Peters: ….
Rich Russillo: ….
(“Eyes on Fire” by Zed’s Dead begins to blast throughout the building and the fans gasp. Rich and James are heard gasping. After a few seconds, the former National Elite Champion and Osaka’s Greatest, Osamu Arcichida, emerges from behind the curtains. The crowd doesn’t exactly know how to react except with a mix of shock and scattering applause.)
James Peters: This is the last person I ever expected to show back up in EAW…
Rich Russillo: Speaking of people being left for dead, the last time any of us saw Osamu Arcichida he was being wheeled out of the arena. Jackson Blayde absolutely destroyed the man and put him on the shelf, and damn. What a convenient time for Osamu to show back up.
(Osamu has a microphone in his hand and he looks directly down the ramp at Jack, who’s standing on the apron. Osamu’s music has faded, and the crowd is pretty quiet because they want to see how this situation plays out.)
Jack Ripley (Off Mic): Who even are you?
(A slow smile spreads across Osamu’s face as he raises the microphone up.)
Osamu Arcichida: Spare us all your ignorance and laziness Ripley, and do some research for once in your life. Everyone inside this arena knows exactly who I am and at Pain for Pride, you will too.
Jack Ripley (Off Mic): Oh yeah?
(Osamu nods his head and continues speaking.)
Osamu Arcichida: Six long months. It has been six long months of agony since I’ve stepped foot in an EAW building. Six months of sitting back – dozens of CT scans, too many tests to count, talk of a brain injury that could’ve ended my career, and a lot of doubt… a lot of feeling down on myself. Honestly, a lot of feeling sorry for myself as I sat at home in Osaka and watched as individual after individual came out here and invoked my name to bolster their own credibility. New faces achieved new opportunities, yourself included Jack, as I was forced to watch on the sidelines. You earned an opportunity at Grand Rampage to take a shot at the man who won the National Elite Championship after I was forced to vacate it. Jackson Blayde is the man who drove my head into this very mat with no regard for my well-being. He could’ve crippled me and he very well nearly ended my career for good; frankly, if I didn’t make it out of that ring alive, I doubt he would’ve had a hard night’s sleep over it. Well, guess what. Blayde didn’t finish the job and he didn’t take me out. He didn’t send me back to Japan for good. I have persisted, and I have returned home.
(The crowd applauds for this.)
Osamu Arcichida: EAW is my true home. EAW is where I’ve achieved dreams and I’ve proven those who have doubted me wrong. When I was unable to compete for the National Elite Championship, I was heartbroken. I let myself down, I let people in this company down, and most of all, I let everyone who watches this product down. Over time that disappointment turned into other emotions, and eventually the one emotion that stood tall above the others was anger. Watching Jackson win my championship at Road to Redemption and subsequently hold it hostage never sat right with me. I want it back and now I have the chance to get it. At Pain for Pride, I will prove that I belong in this company. I will prove that despite hurdles and obstacles I face, they can be overcome, and that persistence and passion is the key to success. At Fighting Spirit all of us got to witness karma catch up to Jackson. I wish it could have been me that sent him packing, but at least he got what he deserved in the end. If there is anything I wish to accomplish by coming back to EAW and wrestling once again besides regaining my title, I want to show future generations of workers and future generations of fans that quitting when everyone says you should is the exact opposite tactic you should take. If someone cheap shots you, stand back up. If everyone doubts you, work harder. If people say you shouldn’t, then you should. Fight for what you want because nothing is going to be handed to you. Scratch, claw, and bite your way back because all you have is your own will and self determination to take you to the dance and nobody is going to hold your hand along the way. You have to take it. You have to take every chance, every opportunity and make something out of it. And this, just standing here again, is perhaps the greatest opportunity in my career. An opportunity for a comeback story? Maybe. For me, this is a chance to take back my dignity and my reputation. This is my opportunity to make the name Osamu Arcichida mean something more than just a cheap line on somebody’s resume.
(Osamu pauses and stares directly into Jack’s eyes.)
Osamu Arcichida: If you still want to act ignorant and ask ‘who I am’ like you do to everyone you’re too lazy to research, then go back and watch the Voltage opening later on tonight. Daryl Kinkade’s destroyed knee… courtesy of the Osamu Lock. That gash on the back of his head? Singapore cane to the skull. Blayde’s not around anymore, so someone had to pay for what happened to me. It might as well be the last person I faced off against. Kinkade and I exchanged wins back in November and I never liked the man.
(The crowd appear to be startled by this revelation, and even Jack looks a little surprised.)
Osamu Arcichida: Now let this be a message for you Jack, and for anyone else in the back who’s watching this and thinks they can use my name in a negative light. I came back with purpose and that’s to recapture the championship I never got a chance to defend. Mark your calendars as tonight will be remembered as the night Osamu Arcichida came back to EAW to take what is rightfully his. You’re a fighting champion, right? I’ll see you at Pain for Pride.
(“Eyes on Fire” by Zed’s Dead begins to play and truthfully the crowd is still in shock. Osamu points at the belt Jack has on his shoulder and then makes the title motion at his waist. Voltage fades to commercial break.)
(Commercial for Rolex watches featuring Mr. DEDEDE. A montage of career highlights are shown with a posh British man doing a voice-over saying this is a story of perpetual excellence. Rolex watches, only the best for the best.)
(Voltage returns and cuts to James and Rich. They still look a little perplexed over what transpired before the break.)
Rich Russillo: Welcome back to Voltage.
James Peters: If for whatever stupid reason you are just joining us, you have missed a lot. Like literally so much.
Rich Russillo: Osamu Arcichida made a shocking return just moments ago and not only claimed responsibility for the attack on Daryl earlier tonight, but he issued a challenge to Jack Ripley for Pain for Pride!
James Peters: We are being told that Jack has indeed accepted that challenge and will be putting the National Elite Championship up against Osamu at Pain for Pride!
Rich Russillo: What the fuck else can possibly happen?
(James stands up from the booth.)
James Peters: You know what’s about to happen! LC and Scott Diamond are about to sign their names to their Pain for Pride contract.
(James removes his headset and gets into the ring. Two chairs have been placed in the ring as well as a table, where the contact is laid next to a pen. The arena goes quiet when James takes the microphone that is also on the table and raises it to his mouth.)
James Peters: Ladies and gentlemen, at this time – we’re going to have the contract signing between the blockbuster match Lethal Consequences versus the returning Scott Diamond! So without any further ado, please welcome… Scott Diamond!
( “Shook Ones” by Mobb Deep hits the sound system and out walks ‘The Perfect Storm’, Scott Diamond. He looks to still be in impressive shape as he’s always been, and just at stoic. He walks down the ramp, not taking the time to stop and taunt – or to greet fans – or anything of the like. He marches down to the ring, climbing in and moving to one of the empty sides. Scott doesn’t even stop to shake James Peters hand after he offered. James would shrug it off, trying to act cool. Diamond’s music would come to an end, just as James returned the microphone to his lips.)
James Peters: And now, please welcome .. his opponent for Pain for Pride. Lethal Consequences!
(Scott’s eyes move to the stage when Company Flow’s “Blackout” begins to play. Lethal Consequences soon emerges from behind the curtain, and has his eyes focused solely on Scott Diamond, who paces in the ring. LC takes his time, a little more so than Scott did, to walk down the ramp. Once he’s down the ramp, though, he climbs in just as Scott did. He stood on the opposite side of the ring, after grabbing one of the microphones off of the table. He leans back against the ropes, waiting for this to get started. His theme music stopped, and once more James Peters took the floor.)
James Peters: Thank you both for coming down here tonight. You both are aware of the fact that this match isn’t sanctioned until you both have put your signatures on the contract. You two have a long standing rivalry, this much we all know – and I know you both want nothing more than to push me aside and go at it right now. But, not until Pain for Pride. So .. I will go one at a time to have you sign, I’ll start with you L.C. You have an open floor for anything you need to address, and then the time to sign. And then I will do the same for you, Scott. LC, the floor is yours..
(James said, taking a step away and allowing all of the proverbial spotlight to shine on LC.)
Lethal Consequences: This…. This is all very pointless. I mean, it’s no secret which match yours truly belongs in. I took Noah Reigner to his very limit, and I would be standing here as the World Champion had that stooge Impact not shown his face. And then I went on to BEAT Impact, and yet here I am – still having to waste time with a man who can’t even be bothered to roll off of his couch to come back to the company that house him and his pathetic career. When was the last time Scott Diamond was relevant in this company, anyway? Territorial Invasion? Nope. Bitchboy Noah Reigner carried his team then. What about Scott Diamond versus Diamond Cage at Wicked Games, where your bitch ass was sent to the retirement home when pissboy Ahren came down to help pissboy Cage? Nope. You weren’t even relevant last year at Pain for Pride, You tarnished your career and then let some greasy, shitty excuse for a ‘wrestler’ in Darkane, shit all over you on the biggest stage that this company has. So the fact that I have to stand here and sign a contract to face a washed up JOKE of an Elitist, is a slap in the face to me. I have done nothing but bust my ass this entire season, only to have to be regulated to either facing YOU or being left off of Pain for Pride? This is the type of shit I’ve talked about all year. A LEGEND like me, pushed to back burner for some stupid twink with a manbun and a fur coat, and some stupid cunt with too much lip, ass and tit filler. Me, a LEGEND, against you – a man who doesn’t even deserve to be in the ring anymore.
(Lethal Consequences was staring a hole directly into Diamond as he spoke to him.)
Lethal Consequences: People talk a lot about guards, and how they change. You, Scott Diamond, are a prime example of that ‘old guard’ bullshit that people talk about. Your existence currently does nothing more than tarnish the legacies and careers of every other hall of famer here. You can’t hang with anyone in this company. Not the worst piece of trash you can find – and certainly not me. I should be the World Heavyweight champion right now, do you understand me? And you? You probably can’t even pronounce the words ‘World Heavyweight Champion’. And when I’m done disposing of the steroid jacked piece of shit known as Scott Diamond, I will move into the next season and claim what should RIGHTFULLY be mine. I will move into next season and TAKE what I DESERVE.
(LC drops the microphone onto the table, signing the contract in anger and backing away a little bit. Scott Diamond watches him, an eyebrow arched and waits for LC to back away before leans over and signs the contract too. James moves to raise the microphone to his mouth, but instead if cut off by a hand movement from Diamond. Scott picks up the microphone LC previously had, and raises it to his mouth.)
Scott Diamond: You done now? … Good, because I couldn’t stand to listen to your incessant bitching any more. Do you think I want to really be standing here, having to listen to the bullshit that is steadily falling out of your mouth every time you open it? I would much rather be back at home, kicking back and collecting a legends pay cheque than to be here listening to your babble. But, this was too good to pass up. The opportunity to climb into the ring and show over privileged, and highly annoying little BITCHES like you – that at any given time, I can come back into this company and dominate like I have in the past. The opportunity to absolutely destroy someone who’s spent the last six months whining, complaining, and bitching – more than any of the bitches on Empire – was just too good for me to pass up. Do you think I honestly give a fuck that you ALMOST beat Noah Reigner? No. You didn’t. You’re not world champion, shut the fuck up and move on. Do you think that I give a fuck that you beat the OTHER equally old, talentless piece of shit Impact? Not a fucking chance. And this isn’t Wicked Games. This isn’t Pain for Pride last year, and this isn’t even Territorial Invasion you stupid shit. This is a whole other scenario, and if you think it’s going to be a breeze getting past me at Pain for Pride this year? Then you are sadly mistaken, and that is a quick way to leave Atlanta, Georgia in more than one piece.
(Scott stopped for a second, his eyes narrowing on LC.)
Scott Diamond: The bottom line, LC, is that you’re a bitch. You always have been, and you always will be. You can sit back and shit talk everyone else on the roster like you’re above them, but the only thing you’re above right now – is the ground. I will fix that for you at Pain for Pride when I bury you further than six feet. You don’t have your Enterprise to back you up now, like you used to. All you have are two hall of fame rings, and those won’t save you when I’m beating you around the ring like you fucking stole something. You stand there, overlooking me? Son, have you forgotten who the fuck I am? Clearly. So I will happily remind you at Pain for Pride. And what you think you deserve, and what you think should be rightfully yours – will be further away from your grasp after you let a “old, washed up, part timer” beat you. Bitch.
(Scott Diamond throws the microphone down with a thud. Scott and LC lock eyes once more, closing the distance between themselves, throwing insults at one another. It takes James Peters to step between them in order for them to separate.)
James Peters: Okay, okay!! … Thank you for joining me, Scott and LC. I know the world can’t wait to witness this classic fight at Pain for Pride in just a couple of weeks!
(LC has backed away, exiting the ring first and walking backward up the ramp. Never once taking his eyes off of Diamond. Voltage to cuts to commercial.)
(Commercial break for the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup. Contrary to popular belief, women sports do matter and they are amazing. Catch Team USA take on Thailand in their first match of group play on Tuesday!)
(Voltage fades back in and an exclusive interview Sofia Clarke conducted with Cameron Ella Ava earlier today.)
(EARLIER TODAY)
(The scene opens up to an undisclosed area inside the American Airlines Arena. Sofia Clarke is sitting in a plush, comfortable chair. Directly across from her in an identical chair sits the Hall of Fame goddess, Cameron Ella Ava. Sofia and Cameron exchange smiles with one another before Sofia begins the sit down interview.)
Sofia Clarke: First of all, thank you so much for sitting down with me this after, Cameron. I know you have a big match coming up tonight against Charlie Marr.
(Cameron rakes her fingers through her hair and rolls her eyes at the mention of Charlie’s name.)
Cameron Ella Ava: We both know that’s not going to be just a match.
Sofia Clarke: :mjlit:
Sofia Clarke: Lets get down to business and talk Pain for Pride. Xavier Williams, huh? Now there’s quite a history there between Xav and your husband, Jamie. I think it’s fair to say you know Xavier pretty well. Do you honestly believe he is looking to come into Pain for Pride and have this clean, epic wrestling match between the two of you? What really prompted you to accept his challenge?
Cameron Ella Ava: I’ve never faced Xavier one-on-one. The only close ups that I had with him competing go back to his matches with Jamie. From their match back at Territorial Invasion in 2015 to their final match at Pain for Pride X in 2017. In preparation for their final encounter, I needed to do my research to know how personal this history was between the two men. Both men would not back down from one another. Both men wouldn’t die. If the option was there, both of them would have killed one another. Approaching the beginning of their history, it seemed like Xavier was the more ruthless and cunning cunt out of the two of them. It wasn’t until the very end, where we saw Jamie adapt and become the monster that Xavier was once upon a time. I mean, who would have ever believed that we would see the sight of Xavier Williams being brought down to his knees? That should have been the moment for him to realize that his run on the top of the company was done.
(Cameron pauses for a moment.)
Cameron Ella Ava: Why did he decide to return? I don’t think he’s going into this match just to put on a clean and epic wrestling match. I am doing my best to try to give Xavier the benefit of the doubt. I would love to believe that he’s changed from the man people knew him as. I think Xavier wanted this match against me as something to complete his redemption arc. I accepted this match because Xavier calls himself the “Best in the World”. At Pain for Pride, I want to face the best.
Sofia Clarke: I love that. You have definitely had the most difficult year of any Elitist in recent memory. Time after time you have come up short in your quest for world championship gold, and you have had to watch your loved ones get put through hell. How did you not break? What kept you going even during the darkest times because I know there wasn’t always light at the end of the tunnel.
Cameron Ella Ava: How do you know that I’m not breaking now?
Sofia Clarke: I don’t, to be fair.
Cameron Ella Ava: Nah, I’m kidding. But, to say that dealing with the hell I faced this season was easy would be a lie. This has been the most difficult season in my career. If there was one way to phase me and get under my skin, it would be people putting their greasy hands on my family. For me, you can attack me, you could attack my character, you could attack my past relationships, but don’t ever bring my family as a tactic to get underneath my skin. In that sense, that makes me just as angry as coming up short at becoming World Champion. I should have became Answers World Champion at Territorial Invasion, but Darkane speared me out of the ring and he pinned Impact. I should have been Answers World Champion at Grand Rampage, but Theron Nikolas just needed to sneak away with a victory there. It was that particular event, which left me without a Pain for Pride match. It sucked and being in the position I am, I was not going to interfere in Jamie’s moment to headline. I was not going to interfere in Camille’s moment of making history. I wasn’t going to be selfish and put my needs over theirs. I was going to look for a different road to Atlanta. Never did I expect for it to lead me to Voltage, but I’m glad it did. There was always plans for me in store. It just required me to look in places outside my brand.
Sofia Clarke: Veena Adams seems determined to stop this match and her history with Xavier speaks for itself. Captain Charisma has said all week that the match will go on as scheduled. When you do step into the ring against Xavier and regardless of the outcome, where do you think this match will rank on your own personal list of incredible matches?
(A thoughtful look crosses Cameron’s face.)
Cameron Ella Ava: Despite me and Xavier never facing one-on-one like I said in the beginning of this interview, I find myself to be quite familiar with the man he is. I would hope that he’s somewhat familiar with me and my work. At least, he should be familiar with my struggles this season. I’m familiar with what he went through in the last year of his career. I know what it took for Jamie to break him, but I don’t have any personal animosity towards Xavier. I’ve always respected Xavier as a wrestler. I’m not looking at Cameron Ella Ava versus Xavier Williams to be just another match to fill out the three day spectacle that is Pain for Pride. I’m looking for this match to steal the damn show. I’m hoping that bit of familiarity flows in chemistry and that we’re able to get our respective stories out there. My story of having my moment after a hell of a season and Xavier trying to get some sort of redemption for himself and prove that he’s changed.
Sofia Clarke (nodding): If this opportunity hadn’t come around, what would you have done for Pain for Pride?
Cameron Ella Ava (smirking): I’ve never been the woman to settle. You weren’t going to find me in Cash in the Vault. You weren’t going to find me in the 24/7 Battle Royal. To me, it became if I’m not competing for the Answers World Championship or given a challenge that I desire, I would rather sit my ass in catering and support those I care about. Who knows? I probably would have been out with the crowd as I watch my husband and sister have their moments. That’s what I would have wanted for them regardless if I’m on the card or not. But, I knew there was a challenge out there for me somewhere and Xavier knew that for sure. I’m happy things have ended up this way and I’m ready to give it my all.
Sofia Clarke: You know the draft is coming up, and that means Elitists are going to switch homes. This year’s draft is historic for the simple fact that Empire will be coming to an end after Pain for Pride concludes. Where do you hope to end up, and who from Empire do you hope to cross paths with next season, if anyone?
Cameron Ella Ava: I don’t care where I end up. I’m attached to my family on the road. I would feel as long as I have Jamie, Camille or even Consuela, who will be joining us, I would have someone to keep me sane. If it requires me to be alone, which I was for the first half of the season on Dynasty, I’ll find some way to keep my head on a swivel and be on alert at all times. I would love to go where my talents will be utilized. It just sucks that the brand that I carried for over six months couldn’t find at least something for me on the show. But, I’m thankful for Voltage for providing me the platform these past few weeks in order to build myself up going into Pain for Pride. It doesn’t matter where I end up, my intentions will be to still pursue the World Championship. There is a lot of talk about these Empire girls and what they will be getting themselves into as their window of competition opens up a lot more. I’m opening them with open arms and I’m opening to facing anyone; Andrea Valentine, Raven Roberts, Kassidy Heart just to name a few. Serena Bennett is also one of them, but it seems like I’m facing her on Empire next week. But, whoever is going to give me the competition I desire, I’m not going to rule anyone out.
Sofia Clarke: With Jamie being back, and having a great opportunity to become the Answers World Champion, and Camille doing so amazing in her own right as a champion, do you think it benefits you to be separated from the two of them?
(Cameron lets out a little laugh.)
Cameron Ella Ava: They’re not watching this interview right? :eyes: It’s only been a few weeks and I miss the hell out of Jamie and Camille, but I feel this is beneficial for all of us. Jamie can focus on his aspirations to become Answers World Champion. Camille can focus on becoming the longest reigning PURE Champion. Meanwhile, I can focus on my match with Xavier. I feel like each of us doing our own thing is amazing and we’re all going to kill it at Pain for Pride. For the past few months, it’s felt like I’ve been in Camille’s shadow and when Jamie returned, I took my place back in his shadow as well, which is kinda of how it was once I failed to capture the World Heavyweight Championship at Territorial Invasion in 2017. Nothing wrong with that, but I hate the feeling of just sitting on catering and hoping for some idea or opportunity to hit me. But I do love seeing the two of them thriving. There was no idea that Camille would have been cleared or Jamie would have returned. I’m just fortunate to have these two doing their things and living their dreams. That makes me happy.
(Sofia smiles and approaches the next topic in her usual blunt, but very professional manner.)
Sofia Clarke: I know you have put your quest for world championship gold on hold for now. But if you do end up on the same brand as Jamie, and he does have that championship, are you going to go for it again? If you do end up facing Jamie, why will this match end differently than the last one?
(Cameron nods her head, almost as if she expected this type of question. Her dark brown eyes flicker with emotion before she gives Sofia her raw, unfiltered answer.)
Cameron Ella Ava: This was a question that I had lingering in the back of my mind for about a year now. If I had stayed on Voltage as Openweight Champion, there was no doubt that I would have dethroned Jamie and ended his eleventh month title reign. The last match almost ruined our relationship. I hate the woman that I became in my quest to capture his title. I was nothing more than a woman who couldn’t put personal and business aside and it hurt me in the end. That is what was my downfall against him. Back then, he couldn’t give less of a damn about what happened to us. The only thing that mattered was keeping that championship with him. Is that where his priorities lie when he wins the Answers World Championship? If there is the chance that Jamie and I happen to be on the same brand next season, will I be willing to put our marriage on the line if it means being World Champion? Times have changed, priorities have changed as well, I suppose. But, my goals haven’t changed. It doesn’t matter who’s the World Champion of my brand, I’m going to knock them down and take their title.
Sofia Clarke: :wow: I respect the hell out of your honesty.
Cameron Ella Ava: Becoming world champion means everything to me, and I won’t stop until I capture one.
Cameron Ella Ava: You have done everything a woman can possibly do in this sport, and just speaking personally, I have no doubts you’ll finally get your just due and get that world title. But beyond that, what else do you hope to accomplish? EAW is full of tournaments and special matches to win. Which ones pique your interest the most?
Cameron Ella Ava: I have thought about that a lot as well. I wanted to try my luck with King of Elite this season. I thought I had a solid shot at winning the tournament, but Devan Dubian had other plans and the concussion took me out of the tournament. Grand Rampage would be amazing as well. I just want an opportunity to prove that I am deserving of the spot I am in this company. I want to be able to prove that I wasn’t just given opportunities because of my gender or longevity. I was given these opportunities because I am that damn good. However, I just want to say that right now my focus is on Pain for Pride. I’m dead set on defeating Xavier Williams because our match is happening, and then we’ll see where things take me in Season 13.
Sofia Clarke: When all is said and done, how does Cameron Ella Ava want to be remembered by the EAW Universe?
(Cameron pauses for a moment. That is such a loaded question for someone who’s been with the company as long as she has, and who’s been through as much as she has.)
Cameron Ella Ava: I had someone ask me that about a year ago and I responded with ‘I have no idea’. I don’t know what my reputation is with the EAW Universe. I don’t know what their perception of me is. After it’s all said and done, I want to be remembered as not only the best female wrestler in this company, but the best wrestler, period. I want people to remember me as the woman who set a standard for how other woman should be treated in this male dominated sport. Women shouldn’t have to walk around backstage on eggshells. They should be able to voice their opinions and not be afraid of any consequences. I want to be remembered as a woman who was thrust into any position on the card and she managed to make something out of it; a woman who has been able to conquer the odds over and over again. It did not matter how many of the Elitists in the back tried to discredit my success or belittled me because they knew how fucking good I was, I managed to rise above all of them in the end. I am more than Hurricane Hawk’s eye candy, Dark Demon’s ex-girlfriend, The Heart Break Gal’s sidekick, and I’m more than Jamie O’Hara’s wife. I’m Cameron fucking Ella Ava and I am ‘The Goddess’ for a reason.
(Sofia can’t help but grin at Cameron.)
Sofia Clarke: Any final words? Now’s your chance to say whatever is on your mind.
Cameron Ella Ava: Everything that I went through this season has led me here and it’s going to led me to victory tonight and at Pain for Pride. This is how it’s supposed to happen. There’s been so much trouble for me to reach this stage. I went from the idea that I might be main eventing Pain for Pride to having to go to some other brand to look for my match. It’s against a Hall of Famer. It’s against a man that Jamie has put down on a few occasions. At Pain for Pride, I’m looking to do not only him, but everyone a favor by putting down Xavier Williams once and for all.
Sofia Clarke: Cameron, thank you so much for this.
Cameron Ella Ava: My pleasure.
(The two women stand up and embrace, and the interview fades to black. Voltage also fades to a commercial break.)
(Commercial break for Weight Watchers featuring Xander Payne. Use the CODE: PAYNE4PRIDE to score $5.00 off your first meal.)
(Returning from commercial break, we’re immediately blessed with the sounds of “Gangsta’s Paradise” by Coolio. All of the Voltage fans in attendance still know who this theme music belongs to, and that’s evident when they break out in “Bro” chants.)
Bella Braxton: The following contest is scheduled for one fall, with the special stipulation stating that if Minerva wins this match, Heavenly Hell will be entered into the Unified Tag Team Championship match at Pain for Pride!! …. Introducing first, residing in Woodbridge, New Jersey – weighing in at Two Hundred and Twenty pounds … “Radd”! Thadd! Blazevich!
Rich Russillo: This fatal four way features a person from every brand under the EAW umbrella, including this man. Thadd and Crosby, the FloBros, are Dynasty’s team that owns the number one contendership spot against the Wildcards. Thadd and Crosby have been nothing short of impressive since entering the EAW, and you know a win tonight – over members of every other major team in EAW – would be a big boost heading into Pain for Pride.
James Peters: All of these competitors would like that, Rich. But you’re right, Thadd has been nothing but impressive. The FloBros and the Wildcards have had a confrontation in the past and it led to Xander pie-facing Carsyn. It’s safe to say that both Thadd and Crosby are looking for a little revenge for that.
Rich Russillo: As impressive as they’ve been, though, Xander Payne and Myles are WRESTLERS. Not yard trash that somehow was mistaken for credible athletes. In comparison to the challenge of Xander and Myles, the wins the FloBros have accumulated mean absolutely.. Dick.
(Thadd has circled the ring, slapping hands with the fans – encouraging their chants. After he was satisfied, he climbed onto the apron and launched himself over the top rope, landing and kicking off his flops as he did. His theme music would fade away into “Destroya” by My Chemical Romance. Thadd’s head turned to the stage as he began to remove his hat and jacket, and the crowds cheers turned into boos.)
Bella Braxton: And his opponent .. from Melbourne, Australia – weighing in at Two hundred and Thirty pounds – “The Missile” Josh Nicholls!
(Josh ripped through the curtain, and this member of the Revolution team and Round Table stable, walks down to the ring with a purpose.)
James Peters: The Revolution are still hungry for the belts after coming up short twice, and have a chance at Pain for Pride. Just like Thadd, I know Josh wants to pick up some momentum so close to such a blockbuster match, so I can expect him to pull out all of the stops tonight.
Rich Russillo: Imagine, the Revolution rolling into Pain for Pride and taking away the championships from Xander and Myles. The Round Table will be dripping in gold. Drake King, Jake Smith and Joshua Nicholls all representing EAW as champions is exactly what this company needs, James.
(Joshua has climbed into the ring, where he marched right into Thadd’s corner, going nose to nose with the Bro.)
James Peters: It looks like these two, well at least Nicholls, wants to start this right now. Thadd just wears a smirk, totally chill – like always.
Rich Russillo: He won’t be so chill when Xander comes out, James. I think the bro wants to get a little revenge for putting his hands on the Flo Sis.
James Peters: Flo.. Sis? You should rethink that one, Rich..
(In This Moment’s “Big Bad Wolf” was the next song to hit the sound systems, which brought out the complete wild card in this match; Minerva. The crowd pops for the EAW Empress – one half of the Empire tag team champions. She slinks her way out onto the stage in her general fashion, with her eyes locked on the ring.)
Bella Braxton: And next .. from Coyote Flats, Texas .. she is one half of the Empire Tag Team Champions .. Minerva!
James Peters: This one is an interesting addition, Rich. Heavenly Hell, Constance and Minerva, want the chance to compete for the Unified Tag Team Championships – just like the trailblazers before them, the Jaded Hearts. And with Empire about to be history, this is just a taste of what the men in the company have to look forward to.
Rich Russillo: Well, Minerva has quite the challenge ahead of her. Is she talented? No doubt. But this isn’t Empire. This is Voltage, the show of KINGS! And Xander? He’s the biggest King around here.
James Peters: Is that a fat joke?
Rich Russillo: NO! Xander Payne is a leader of Voltage in my eyes. And tonight he’s going to welcome Minerva and all of these other bozos to Voltage the only way we know so around here. By beating them senseless.
(Minerva has entered the ring in her typical fashion, and now has crouched down in her own corner – waiting just as the others do in theirs, having been separated by the referee now. “It Follows” by Cane Hill takes over and out marches Xander Payne.)
Bella Braxton: And the final opponent .. from Brampton, Ontario — he is one half of the Unified Tag Team Champions .. Xander Payne!
Rich Russillo: The Voltage King!! Look at the three in the ring, shaking in their boots.
James Peters: They’re not..
Rich Russillo: They should be. Xander Payne holds one half of the championships they all want, and he holds it for a reason. HE defeated Kassidy Heart and Sienna Jade! HE pinned Kassidy! If that isn’t GOAT material, then I don’t know what is.
James Peters: She wasn’t the legal competitor in the match. Well, he has a big target on his back tonight. I’m interested in seeing how this plays out for Xander, knowing that he is the main focus of all three of his opponents tonight.
(Xander has stopped in front of the ring and looks in. Shaking his head, refusing to enter right away. Nicholls and Thadd are like rabid dogs, ready to attack. Minerva remains crouched in her corner, watching. Eventually both Thadd and Nicholls exit the ring on opposite sides and closer the gap between them and Xander.)
James Peters: Thadd and Nicholls are not playing these games with Xander, tonight! They’ve both left the ring and have him cornered. Xander spots Thadd coming and turns the other way. There’s Nicholls, meeting Xander with a stiff right hand! Xander turns around … Elbow from Thadd! Back and forth, Xander is being treated to strikes from both Nicholls and Thadd, trying to one up the other.
Rich Russillo: Wait! Xander’s making a comeback! He dodges one of Nicholls’ strikes and it hits Thadd! Xander with a thumb to the eye of Nicholls, temporarily taking him out. He turns to Thadd, grabbing him by the hair and feeding him punches to his stomach! That’s it, Xander! Show these clowns that you mean business. That this is YOUR HOUSE!
James Peters: Nicholls is back into the fray, grabbing Xander and rushing him spine first into the barricade. Nicholls and Thadd work together again for a moment, grabbing Xander back up to his feet. All three of them now trading shots back and forth and… OH MY GOD, MINERVA FLIES OFF OF THE TOP ROPE, CRASHING DOWN ON ALL THREE OF THEM!!
Rich Russillo: Typical! Waits until the very last minute before getting involved.
James Peters: Xander, Thadd and Nicholls are laid out and Minerva is the last one standing! Thadd and Nicholls are climbing up to their feet, and now Minerva is ‘helping’ them – grabbing Thadd first and rolling him into the ring. Nicholls next. Xander is pushing his way to his feet.. Minerva with a stiff front kick to his face! Xander’s attempting to get back to his feet again. Minerva grabs him, rolling him into the ring – and now she enters.
(Ding! Ding! Ding!)
James Peters: The match is officially underway now. Thadd is back up to his feet, driving a knee into the ribcage of Nicholls as he begins to move up to his hands and knees. Thadd has mounted Nicholls, hammering him with several punches before grabbing his arm .. quick transition into an armbar! Nicholls is thrashing around, trying to get free. There’s no rope breaks, Nicholls has to remember that. He’s trapped in this until he figures out a way out, or he taps! .. Minerva kicks Thadd in the face now, too! She’s got kicks for everyone, it seems.
Rich Russillo: Xander is back up, though! He’s grabbed a handful of Minerva’s hair and thrown her into the corner. Keeping a hand on her throat, he chokes her and then feeds her punches to the stomach! Over and over! Get her, Xander! She wants a shot at your titles, she has to pay the price! Xander steps away and charges back in – CORNER BODY SPLASH!! Minerva crumbles to the ground, and Xander’s laughing.
Xander Payne (Off-Mic): Do you really think you can take MY championships?! You’re wrong you stupid sl—
James Peters: THADD GRABS XANDER, SPINNING HIM AROUND AND BLASTING HIM WITH SEVERAL FOREARM SHOTS TO THE FACE! XANDER’S BACKED UP AGAINST THE ROPES, AND THADD CHARGES – TAKING THEM BOTH OUT OF THE RING WITH A HUGE CLOTHESLINE!
Rich Russillo: :damn: ! Well now Nicholls is back up to his feet, favoring the arm that Thadd just tried to rip out of it’s socket and has made his way over to Minerva. He’s placed the sole of his boot onto her throat and pushes down, choking her. The referee can’t stop this! Minerva is trying to push Nicholls’ boot off of her throat, finally managing to get it up enough to roll away. Nicholls has Minerva by the hair, dragging her up to her feet – moving to the middle of the ring where he suplexes her almost effortlessly.
James Peters: Meanwhile on the outside of the ring, Thadd and Xander are still going back and forth. Thadd looks to have used his speed to his advantage and landed a couple of strikes in succession. Xander’s staggered and backed up a bit, Thadd charges, Xander grabs Thadd and OVERHEAD BELLY TO BELLY SENDING THADD CRASHING RIGHT INTO THE STEEL STEPS!! Thadd has hit the ground hard and Xander’s reached underneath the ring – grabbing a chair. Thadd has moved to sit against the wreckage that was the steel steps. Xander’s grabbed the chair, rears back and swings!!!
(CRACK!!)
James Peters: THADD MOVED OUT OF THE WAY IN THE LAST SPLIT SECOND, AND THE CHAIR COLLIDES WITH THE STEEL STEPS! VIBRATIONS RUNNING UP XANDER’S ARM CAUSING HIM TO DROP THE CHAIR! Thadd is up, grabbing the chair now and HE swings! Thadd doesn’t miss, smashing the chair across Xander’s head! Xander hasn’t fallen, though. So Thadd swings again, AGAIN a headshot! Xander leans against the barrier. Thadd throws the chair, charging at Xander .. XANDER HAS ENOUGH IN HIM TO BACK BODY DROP THADD INTO THE CROWD!!
Rich Russillo: Welp. There’s a lawsuit.
James Peters: Thadd has literally taken out two, maybe even three rows of people! This is insanity.
Rich Russillo: Xander’s climbed into the crowd now to go after Thadd, but inside of the ring Nicholls has had Minerva under control the entire time. After suplexing her without trying, he’s kept her grounded – not allowing her to use her speed or that weird-double jointy, contortionist stuff she’s been known for. He currently has he grounded in a side headlock, after planting her with a stiff DDT. Minerva is trying her best to slide out of this, but he wrenches it in tight – right before he rolls out and moves to her legs, immediately wrapping her up in a figure-four. I like the transition from one submission to the next. He sinks down on the figure four, and Minerva lets out a painful scream. She scratching and clawing trying to fight her way to the ropes – but there’s no rope break. She must have forgotten that! Holding on for dear life, the referee is telling her that it doesn’t break the hold. Nicholls now drags himself, and her, back into the middle of the ring!
James Peters: Minerva has been in this figure four for some time, just imagine the damage it’s doing to her legs – but she’s not giving up. She’s sat up, swinging at Nicholls’ trying to connect with one of those blows in order to cause him to release. Her arm reach isn’t quite the length it needs to be and she collapses again. She has to tap. This is unbearable to even watch right now…
Rich Russillo: Minerva is about to tap… NO! She stops herself, trying to fire herself up. Pushing herself up some, and … James, she’s trying to roll over! If she can, somehow, power Nicholls over – the hold will be reversed and all of the pressure moved to his legs. She’s got it half way…. SHE’S TURNED THE MOVE OVER! NICHOLLS NOW SCREAMING, AND HAS NO CHOICE BUT TO RELEASE THE HOLD! Nicholls is up to his feet in some pain, but Minerva has yet to make it to hers. She must have severe damage to her legs. She’s using the ropes to pull herself up when Nicholls approaches, reaching out for her. Minerva kicks up, burying her boot in Nicholls’ stomach. That pushes him back enough for her to return to her feet. Minerva mounting a comeback – running, or attempting to, towards Nicholls and taking him down with a well placed lariat. Minerva immediately drops to mount him, hitting him with rapid fire strikes that he doesn’t manage to block all of.
James Peters: Sorry to interrupt, but Thadd and Xander are still fighting through the crowd. Xander seems to have the upperhand after Thadd was sent crashing into a mess of steel steps and concrete after the back body drop. Afterword, Xander climbed into the crowd and threw multiple chairs on top of Thadd, and then sentoned himself ontop of all of it. Xander does hold his back briefly as he drags Thadd through the crowd, stopping only briefly to punch him to keep him in line. Making their way up a flight of steps, Thadd has broken free of Xander’s grip – feeding him elbow shots to the stomach. Xander turns to Thadd again, but Thadd grabs a nearby fans drink – throwing it right into Xander’s eyes! Thadd actually apologizes to the fan, now. What a nice guy.
Rich Russillo: Nice guy? He just threw beer in Xander’s face. And now he’s drinking another fans beer!
James Peters: It was handed to him, to drink. Anyway. Thadd has grabbed Xander, moving to in front of the barrier that drops to the gate entrance the crowd enters through. Thadd fires rapid forearms to the side of Xander’s head, staggering the tag team champion against that barrier. This doesn’t look good, Rich. If one of, or both of those men, fall over – there’s nothing down there to protect their fall.
Rich Russillo: Well trash like Thadd should be used to that. But not Xander. He is a Voltage king and this is not some backyard in Jersey. He deserves better than this.
James Peters: Well, Thadd has turned around and grabbed a steel chair. He swings it for Xander’s head!! .. Xander side steps the strike though, and the chair collides with the barrier – flying out of Thadd’s hands in the process. Security and other personnel have gathered in that opening, and one nearly has his head taken off by the falling chair. Thadd and Xander are once again back to trading strikes. Back and forth, Thadd – Xander – Thadd – Xander. Neither man really getting the advantage. Xander’s taken a step back and booted Thadd in the stomach with a side kick. Thadd is doubled over, and Xander moves him over the barrier. NO, XANDER DON’T DO THIS! THADD IS NOW STANDING ON THE EDGE OF THE PLATFORM, AND XANDER’S STEPPED OVER TOO! XANDER POSITIONS THADD’S HEAD BETWEEN HIS LEGS, LOOKING FOR A POWERBOMB OFF OF THE TOP OF THE GATEWAY ONTO THE FLOOR.. THADD IS FIGHTING BACK, THOUGH. HE’S MANAGED TO FREE HIMSELF FROM THAT POSITION — GRABBING A HOLD OF XANDER AND FIRING RAPID FIRE FOREARMS AT HIM AGAIN. THADD SQUATS DOWN, LIFTING XANDER UP ONTO HIS SHOULDERS.. NO, NO, NO!!
Everyone: :damn:!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
James Peters: THADD LEAPT OFF OF THE TOP OF THE GATEWAY, DRIVING HIMSELF AND XANDER DOWN TO THE FLOOR, CRASHING ONTOP OF ALL OF THE SECURITY GUARDS AND PERSONNEL – BUT ALSO HITTING THE FLOOR VERY HARD!
Rich Russillo: I think their dead! Thadd just gave Xander a Death Valley Driver onto all of those people.. But that couldn’t have cushioned the blow enough. They’re both laid out, not moving.
Crowd: HO-LY SHIT! HO-LY SHIT!
Rich Russillo: Back in the ring, Minerva has begun to take control. After the mounted strike fest, she allowed Nicholls back up to his feet. Hitting him with back to back dropkicks. After the second one, Nicholls is back up to his feet and has moved into the corner. Minerva charges in and clotheslines him deeper into the corner. Nicholls falls to the ground, and now Minerva takes advantage. A … bronco buster? That’s super sexual, especially the way she does it. She’s pulled away, with an almost seductive smile… SOCCER STYLE KICK RIGHT TO NICHOLLS’ DICK!
James Peters: WHOA! WHAT THE HELL!?
Rich Russillo: She’s laughing and Nicholls is in agony. The referee is yelling at her, warning her. But in four way matches, rules are thrown out of the window it seems.
James Peters: Minerva has taken her eye off of the ball, so to speak. She’s allowed the referee in her ear, and now Nicholls is using the ropes to pull himself up. Once to his feet, you can see the rage on his face. He reaches out, grabbing her roughly by the hair. He’s kicked her in the stomach before whipping her into the ropes with a great deal of force. Minerva comes back hard.. ‘MIGHTY’! JOSHUA NICHOLLS WITH HIS SPINNING SPINEBUSTER, PLANTING MINERVA ONTO THE MAT! HE QUICKLY DROPS, AND ROLLS ONTO HER, HOOKING A LEG WITH ONE HAND AND HOLDING HIS CROTCH WITH THE OTHER – OBVIOUSLY IN PAIN!
(One!
Two!
Thr—)
Rich Russillo: WHAT!? HOW DID SHE KICK OUT!? Minerva was just DRIVEN into the mat with the biggest spinebuster that I’ve ever seen from Nicholls and she kicks out!? Blasphemy!
James Peters: Nicholls is beside himself. He can’t believe it. Frustratedly, he moves up to his feet and kicks Minerva several times before moving into the corner. He’s climbing up a little slowly, thanks to the tender man-bits, but he’s finally up to the top rope – facing away from her. This is it, Rich. Nicholls is going to put this away! He jumps off.. MOONSAULT! BLUE VENGEANCE!!
Rich Russillo: MINERVA LIFTED HER KNEES! JOSHUA NICHOLLS LANDS DIRECTLY ON MINERVA’S KNEES AND IMMEDIATELY ROLLS AWAY HOLDING HIS STOMACH!
James Peters: Minerva is back to her feet. The referee is down, checking on Nicholls and Minerva grabs him – giving him a little shove away.
Rich Russillo: MINERVA JUST SPIT SOME MIST INTO NICHOLLS’ FACE!!!!
James Peters: The referee was mid-stumble away when Minerva grabbed Nicholls by the hair, pulling him up enough to spit that mist – the calls ‘The Dark’ – right into his face! Nicholls is blinded, thrashing about! Minerva grabs him up, positioning herself behind him… PARADISE LOST! SHE JUST HIT NICHOLLS WITH THAT SNAP INVERTED DDT!! THE BACK OF NICHOLLS’ HEAD WAS SPIKED INTO THE MAT, AND MINERVA WITH THE QUICK COVER..
(One!
Two!
Three!)
(Ding! Ding! Ding!)
Bella Braxton: Here is your winner … Minerva!!
James Peters: Minerva has done it! She’s defied the odds tonight and has beaten Thadd, Xander and Josh Nicholls to enter herself and Constance into the tag team championship match at Pain for Pride! I can’t believe it!
Rich Russillo: Well, she beat Josh Nicholls – not our king Xander. But I’ll give it up for Minerva, though. I didn’t give her much of a chance in this tonight. But Thadd and Xander basically killed themselves, opening the door for Minerva.
James Peters: Speaking of, medical is over by that hallway – checking on Thadd and Xander. I hope they will be in shape enough to compete at Pain for Pride. That fall was sickening.
(“Big Bad Wolf” has begun to play again and Minerva has her arm raised in victory. The referee also hands her the Empire tag team championship she wore on her way to the ring, which she raises high with one hand – and motions around her waist with the other hand, indicating she has room for one more championship. Voltage fades to commercial break.)
(Commercial break for Peach Red Bull, Dasani bottled water, and BBQ flavored sunflower seeds. A weird, yet energizing combination.)
(Voltage returns from break and cuts backstage. A smirking Xavier Williams is seen exiting Matt and Veena’s office. He’s whistling to himself and nearly bumps into the Adams spawn himself as he rounds the corner.)
Veena Adams: You need to watch where the fuck you’re going. Are you trying to break my fucking neck again?!
(Veena’s voice is unusually shrill, and that’s because she literally hates Xav with every fibre of her being. Once upon a time she was nothing more than a pawn and piece of collateral damage in the war between DEDEDE and Xavier, and clearly the beautiful blonde has not forgotten that.)
Veena Adams: You know, don’t fucking say anything to me. Your Pain for Pride match with the fucking Cum Slut Ava getting cancelled is good enough for me, so why don’t you do us all a favor and just fucking disappear again? And take that stupid, fat Pisspire whore you’re messing around with with you. You know damn well that cunt is going to die on Thursday thanks to the strong, capable hands of Charlie Marr, and even if she doesn’t and somehow makes it to Pain for Pride to compete, don’t think I won’t give Vizzy a nice little bonus if he breaks that bitch’s neck just to send you a message.
(The smirk on Xavier’s face turns into a dark look.)
Xavier Williams: The last thing you need to do is threaten Harlow because you of all people should know what happens when people I care about are put in danger.
(Veena makes a face.)
Veena Adams: Are we talking about your Down Syndrome looking brat, McKenzie? Because honestly she would probably be better off having been thrown in that fire, just like Harlow is going to be better off once she gets the fuck out of my company and starts turning tricks like a good bitch to make a living.
Xavier Williams: I hate you break it to you, Veena, but the match between Cameron and myself at Pain for Pride is very much a go and that’s not just from Matt, that’s as per the entire board of directors we just got off conference call with. Xavier Williams versus Cameron Ella Ava is a money match and at the end of the day, this is a business. Your uncle might hate both of us, but all he cares about is money and keeping the cogs on the machine going. The entire world has been begging me to return to the ring since Grand Rampage and no one wants to see Cameron left off the card. I hope more than anyone, you enjoy the match we’re going to steal the show with.
(Veena opens her mouth to reply but quickly shuts it. Her face has turned a very unflattering shade of red.)
Xavier Williams: Don’t make the mistake of taking this out on Harlow either. I’m warning you now. You stay out of my business, and I will stay out of yours. Lets leave the past in the past, because if you don’t, we both know it’s not going to end pretty. I’m not that person anymore, but I can find that side again if I have too. Don’t make me do that, Veena.
(Xavier shoots the Veena a warning look before brushing past her and disappearing down the hallway. Veena’s blood is absolutely boiling at this point and she clenches her hands into two tiny fists. She stomps her Louboutin clad foot down on the ground and lets out an ear piercing shriek.)
Veena Adams: MATTHIEU DANIELS I HATE YOU SO FUCKING MUCH!!!
(Veena storms towards the office and right as she goes to rip the door open, it slams in her face and a lock is heard turning. Veena lets out another scream and pounds at the door.)
Matt Daniels (O.S.): Go away, Veena.
Veena Adams: YOU DIDN’T HAVE TO CALL MY UNCLE!!!! I HATE YOU SO MUCH!!! FUCK XAV AND CAM! THIS IS NOT EVEN THEIR SHOW!!!
(The camera cuts to inside the office where Matt is gingerly making his way back to his desk while Veena rants and raves. He carefully sits down, grabs his headphones, and turns the Spotify app on his phone on to drowned out the sound of Veena’s voice. Voltage fades to ringside.)
(‘It Ain’t Safe’ by Skepta begins to play as the crowd immediately begins to boo the presence of Charlie Marr. Charlie seems unbothered as he continues walking down to the ring with Jordie Ripley by his side.)
Bella Braxton: Making his way to the ring… From Tower Hamlets, London, United Kingdom… Weighing in at 240 pounds… CHARLIEEEE MARRR!!!!!
James Peters: Charlie Marr has had a great 2019, from having a record breaking Grand Rampage, to beating Daryl Kinkade, to entering the Cash in the Vault ladder match! Charlie Marr has been on a roll this year!
Rich Russillo: Yeah, and he hopes to continue that this week against someone who he clearly thinks is inferior to him, by the name of Cameron Ella Ava. Charlie Marr thinks he’s more dominant than her in every way shape and form , and most of that belief just comes from the fact that he’s a man!
(‘ULTRAnumb’ by Blue Stahli follows as the crowd immediately begins cheering for Cameron Ella Ava. She makes her way down to the ring with a focused face as Bella Braxton begins the announcement.)
Bella Braxton: And his opponent.. From Los Angeles, California… Weighing in at 130 pounds… CAMERON… ELLAA AVAA!!!!!!
James Peters: And speaking of Cameron Ella Ava, here she comes now! Cameron has set many records and achievements, something Charlie has been taking lightly this week. She’s looking to make sure Charlie realizes why she’s been able to do everything she has.
Rich Russillo: Yeah, Cameron is an outstanding competitor, although so is Charlie. I’m sure even with what she’s done she’s still going into this match with everything she’s got.
James Peters: there’s no doubt about that. The question remains though, will everything she has be enough to defeat Charlie Marr, or will he once again be victorious? Let’s get this match underway!
(Ding! Ding! Ding!)
James Peters: And this no disqualification match is officially underway!!!
Rich Russillo: Charlie wastes no time grabbing Cameron Ella Ava and throwing her into the corner! It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that Charlie has the size and strength advantage in this match.
James Peters: He also has the numbers because we all know that Jordie Ripley won’t hesitate to insert herself in this match if her king finds himself in trouble.
Rich Russillo: Charlie is stomping away at Cameron’s midsection now and he’s forced her into a sitting position.
(Charlie drops down to a knee and grabs Cameron’s face, squeezing it.)
Charlie Marr (Off Mic): I hope you enjoy this beating you worthless cunt.
James Peters: CAMERON JUST SLAPPED THE SHIT OUT OF CHARLIE AND PUSHED HIM BACK! THE GODDESS IS ON TOP OF MARR NOW AND SHE’S POUNDING AWAY ON HIM! CHARLIE PUSHES CAMERON OFF OF HIM BUT SHE IS RIGHT BACK TO HER FEET! SHE STOMPS ON MARR’S BALLS BEFORE HE CAN GET UP AND BEGINS BRUTALLY KICKING HIM IN THE RIBS!!! CAMERON REACHES DOWN AND PULLS MARR UP BY THE BEARD!!!
Rich Russillo: NOT THE BEARD CAM, DAMN!!!
James Peters: CAMERON SLINGS CHARLIE INTO THE THE CORNER AND TAKES OFF RUNNING!!! RUNNING KNEE TO THE FACE!!! CAMERON HYPES UP THE CROWD WHO EGG HER ON AND SHE BEGINS UNLOADING RIGHTS AND LEFTS ON CHARLIE!!! MAIN EVENT MARR ISN’T LOOKING SO GREAT RIGHT NOW!!!
Rich Russillo: Cameron grabs Charlie and drags him out of the corner! She snapmares him down in the center of the ring and knees him right in the back of the skull!!! Cameron immediately pushes Charlie to the mat and goes for the first cover of the match!!!
ONE!
TT—
James Peters: Charlie Marr kicks out! Cameron returns her feet and pulls Charlie up as well. She whips him across the ring and goes for a clothesline on the rebound! Charlie ducks and hits the opposite set of ropes, locking his arms around them! Cameron charges forward and looks to take Charlie over the ropes, but Charlie wisely drops down, holding the ropes, and Cameron’s momentum takes her out of the ring!
Rich Russillo: But Cameron lands on her feet on the apron!
James Peters: BUT CHARLIE IS UP AND SENDS HER CRASHING TO THE FLOOR WITH A HUGE RIGHT HAND!!!
Rich Russillo: That right connected square on Cameron’s jaw and she’s checking to make sure Charlie didn’t knock any of her teeth out.
James Peters: Charlie drops to the outside and absolutely pummels Cameron with a kick right to her ribcage. Now Charlie is grabbing the former multi-time champion up by the hair! Charlie drags Cameron over to the barricades and slams her face first off the steel! Cameron drops to her knees and Charlie once again kicks her in the ribs!
Rich Russillo: Charlie is making his way over to where Bella is seated and our beloved ring announcer is quick to move. She’s been bullied by Charlie in the past and it doesn’t seem like she’s in any mood to be pushed to the ground tonight.
James Peters: Charlie grabs the chair that Bella was sitting in, folds it up, and makes his way back over to Cameron! He raises it above his head and looks to bring it down across Cam’s back!!!
Rich Russillo: Cam pushes herself up to her knees and hits Charlie in the stomach! SHE LANDS ANOTHER PUNCH RIGHT TO THE GUT!! AND A THIRD!!! CAMERON IS ON HER FEET NOW AND SHE CONNECTS WITH A KICK!!!! CAMERON SNATCHES THE CHAIR FROM CHARLIE AND SLAMS IT DOWN ON HIS SKULL! MARR HITS THE GROUND AND CAMERON BEGINS BEATING HIM WITH THE CHAIR!!!
James Peters: JORDIE COMES RUSHING TO CHARLIE’S AID AND CAMERON SWINGS THE CHAIR AT HER!! JORDIE RIPLEY JUST LET OUT AN EAR PIERCING SHRIEK AND THREW HERSELF TO THE GROUND!!!
Rich Russillo: Cameron shakes her head in disgust and tosses the chair now. She pulls Charlie up and slams him face first off the hardest part of the ring! Cameron maintains control of Charlie and she throws him right into the LED ringpost! Charlie hits the ground and Cameron bends down, reaching under the ring!
James Peters: Cameron with a kendo stick now! The crowd erupts! Cameron smiles and twirls the kendo stick between her fingers before walking over to Charlie! She slams the kendo stick down across Charlie’s back!
Rich Russillo: CAMERON IS WHIPPING CHARLIE NOW! HE IS TRYING TO CRAWL AWAY BUT CAMERON IS NOT ABOUT TO LET HIM OUT OF HER SIGHT! SHE CONTINUES TO SLAM THAT KENDO STICK DOWN ACROSS CHARLIE MARR’S BACK, AND HE IS GRABBING AT THE RING SKIRT AND TRYING TO PULL HIMSELF AWAY!
James Peters: This is for all those uncalled for sexist comments Marr made this entire week! He has never hidden his feelings about how little he thinks about women!
Rich Russillo: Cameron finally breaks that kendo stick over Charlie’s back and tosses the broken pieces of the ground! She pulls him up and levels him with a huge uppercut! Charlie staggers back and falls against the steel ring steps! He slumps into a sitting position and Cameron backs up! She takes off running and looks to connect with another running knee!!!
James Peters: CHARLIE MOVES! CAMERON’S KNEE SLAMS INTO RING STEPS AND SHE IS HURT! I THINK CAMERON ELLA AVA JUST HURT HER KNEE, RICH!
Rich Russillo: Cameron is holding her knee, pain etched across her face! Charlie is slowly pulling himself up and he sees Cameron in distress! Charlie makes his way over to Cam and begins stomping away at her knee! Cameron tries to roll out of the way but Charlie grabs her by the tights and jerks her back to him. He throws her inside the ring and climbs in after her. Elbow drop too Cam’s knee! Charlie stands back up, grabs her legs, and wraps Cameron up in a figure four! Cameron is crying out in pain and trying to fight out of this move but Charlie has it cinched in tightly! Cameron is not going anywhere right now!!!
James Peters: And remember, this is a No DQ match! Grabbing the ropes won’t save Cameron in this match, she needs to somehow break free of the submission, or she’s going to have to tap out, something I’m sure she doesn’t want to do! Cameron is in huge trouble right now, as she’s clenching her fists, using all the power she has to not call it quits, but just look at Charlie, he’s enjoying this! He had that sick, sadistic grin on his face as Cameron is screaming out in pain, BUT THAT SMILE FADES QUICKLY AS CAMERON IS PULLING HERSELF ONTO HER STOMACH! CAMERON IS REVERSING THE PRESSURE ON THE SUBMISSION BACK TO CHARLIE, AND NOW HE HAS TO LET IT GO! Both Charlie and Cameron are getting back to their feet but Cameron is still hurt!
Rich Russillo: But she’s somehow trying to fight through the pain as she charges right towards Charlie, but Charlie rolls right out of the ring! That smile Charlie had on his face has begun to fade sice Cameron managed to escape the figure four, and now he has exited the ring for perhaps a chance to rethink his strategy here. Either way he needs to do that fast as Cameron is running at him as fast as she’s able to! SUICIDE DIV- NO! Cameron just manages to stop herself as Charlie quickly made his way onto the apron- BUT THERE’S A KNEE LIFT BY MARR, CAUSING CAMERON TO FALL THROUGH THE ROPES, ALL THE WAY OUT OF THE RING! Cameron just dropped outside the ring and she may just be out of it, but of course Marr isn’t going to end it there!
James Peters: And here comes Jordie with a steel chair, wrapping it around the neck of Cameron! Charlie now talking to Jordie, and it looks like he’s directing her! Jordie picking Cameron up now, this can’t be good! Jordie, throwing Cameron into- NO! CAMERON TURNS IT AROUND, AND INSTEAD THROWS JORDIE INTO THE RINGPOST, AND NOW SHE MANAGES TO TAKE THE CHAIR OFF OF HER, BEFORE BASHING IT INTO THE HEAD OF CHARLIE MARR JUST AS HE WAS MAKING HIS WAY TOWARDS HER! Charlie’s just been floored and he’s holding his head in pain after that huge chair shot, but now Cameron is diverting her attention to Jordie! Cameron now grabbing Jordie, AND SHE SENDS HER CRASHING INTO THE BARRICADE!
Rich Russillo: Cameron picking Jordie up, this may be a bit much! BREAKING BARRIERS ON JORDIE RIPLEY! Jordie is out! There’s no way she’s getting back up, but look behind you Cameron! Turn around! CHARING CROSS! WAIT, IT DOESN’T CONNECT, CAMERON DODGED IT! GODDESS’ TOUCH! IT CONNECTS, THE RUNNING ENZUIGIRI CONNECTS, AND CHARLIE’S OUT COLD! Cameron now holding her knee still after that figure four, but if I were her I’d get Charlie in that ring and pin him as soon as possible!
James Peters: YOU would, yeah, but I think this match is more than that. These two are trying to inflict as much pain as they possibly can on each other, so I don’t expect this match to end any time soon! But Cameron now is setting up that steel chair, and she’s grabbing a second one now! Cameron setting up the two chairs in front of each other, and I don’t like where this is going! Cameron grabbing Charlie from behind, and this could be bad! Cameron, WITH A GERMAN SUPLE- WHAT!? CHARLIE BARELY MANAGES TO LAND ON HIS FEET, ON TOP OF THE CHAIRS! CAMERON TURNING AROUND IN REALIZATION, AND THERE’S THE DEATH OR GLORY, RIGHT OFF OF THE CHAIRS, TAKING OUT CAMERON!
Rich Russillo: But he’s not done! Charlie picking Cam up, AND THERE’S THE HEADMASTER RITUAL, ONTO THE CHAIRS! CHARLIE JUST HIT THE SPINEBUSTER RIGHT ONTO THE SEATS OF THE TWO CHAIRS! CAMERON IS DONE FOR, THERE’S NO WAY SHE CAN CONTINUE AFTER THAT! THE REFEREE NEEDS TO CALL THIS MATCH OFF, DO SOMETHING, OR ONE OF THESE COMPETITORS COULD BE SERIOUSLY HURT!
James Peters: There is nothing he can do, it’s no disqualifications! Anything and everything goes! Cameron hasn’t moved since being spinebustered into the chairs, and Charlie now is just taking his time to recover from everything done to him thus far! Charlie now rolling Cameron back into the ring, but he’s not following just yet! Charlie now grabbing, oh no, what is that? Oh my God. Rich don’t tell me that’s what I think it is.
Rich Russillo: Charlie has a rope in his hands. Charlie just took a rope from under the ring, and I don’t like this one bit! Charlie entering the ring now as Cameron is slowly beginning to stir, OH MY GOD! SOMEONE NEEDS TO STOP THIS! I DON’T CARE IF THIS IS NO DQ, THIS IS TOO FAR! CHARLIE IS CHOKING CAMERON WITH THE ROPE, SOMEONE NEEDS TO STOP THIS RIGHT NOW!
James Peters: CHARLIE HAS THE ROPE AS TIGHTLY WRAPPED AROUND CAM’S NECK AS HE CAN MAKE IT, THIS IS BAD! CAMERON IS FADING AND THIS MATCH MIGHT COME TO A CLOSE VERY SOON AT THIS RATE! CAMERON NEEDS TO ESCAPE! SHE NEEDS TO GET OUT OF HIS GRASP! SHE’S BEGINNING TO FADE, THE REFEREE NEEDS TO JUST CALL THIS ONE NOW BEFORE ANY MORE DAMAGE IS DONE! CAMERON LOOKS LIKE SHE MAY BE OUT, AND THE REFEREE NOW GOING TO CHECK HER HAN-
Rich Russillo: NO! CAMERON’S FIGHTING STILL, AND SHE MANAGES TO GET TO A KNEE, AND NOW SHE’S SLOWLY MAKING HER WAY BACK TO HER FEET, WHERE DID THIS BURST IN ENERGY COME FROM!? CAMERON NOW WITH REPEATED ELBOWS TO CHARLIE’S JAW, AND HE LOSES HIS GRIP ON THE ROPE, SHE GOT OUT OF IT! IN EXCELSIS!!!!! IT CONNECTS BUT CAMERON CAN’T EVEN MAKE IT TO THE COVER! SHE’S TOO WORN OUT AFTER WHAT CHARLIE JUST DID, BUT SHE’S ABLE TO PUT AN ARM AROUND HIM, AND THE REFEREE STARTS THE COUNT!
ONE!
TWO!!
THREE!!!
James Peters: YOU’VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME, CHARLIE JUST GOT THE SHOULDER UP! HOW DID HE KICK OUT OF THAT!? There’s no way, there’s no way that Marr is still in this match, surviving the move inherited from Jamie O’Hara! But what’s there left to give? Both Cameron and Charlie has attempted just about everything they could to keep each other down, and so far nothing’s working! Cameron now exiting the ring, and I’m sure she’s probably thinking the same thin- WHAT!? JORDIE JUST SMASHED A KENDO STICK RIGHT INTO CAMERON’S MIDSECTION! Cameron is down and out, meanwhile Jordie now dropping the weapon, before going to look under the ring, and I’m surprised she was even able to recover after getting attacked earlier!
Rich Russillo: Me too, but Jordie just pulled out a table! She’s setting it up now, right at ringside, what’s she planning? Jordie picking Cameron up now, BUT CAMERON WITH THE KENDO STICK! CAMERON IS FIRING BACK WITH REPEATED SHOTS WITH THE KENDO STICK! AND LOOK AT IT, THE KENDO STICK HAS BEEN BROKEN IN HALF ACROSS THE BACK OF JORDIE! CAMERON NOW THROWING JORDIE INTO THE RING POST, AND SHE’S LOOKING AT THAT ROPE FROM BEFORE!
James Peters: Cameron now retrieving that rope, and she’s, SHE’S TYING JORDIE TO THE RING POST! CAMERON JUST TIED JORDIE’S ARMS TO THE RING POST, AND JORDIE IS NO LONGER A FACTOR IN THIS MATCH! Cameron now dragging Charlie out of the ring, and what’s she going for? Oh my God! ALABAMA SLAM THROUGH THE TABLE! THE STRENGTH OF CAMERON AT DISPLAY HERE! CAMERON JUST PUT CHARLIE THROUGH THE TABLE AND THERE’S NOTHING JORDIE CAN DO ABOUT IT! THIS HAS BASICALLY BEEN A HANDICAP MATCH THIS ENTIRE TIME, BUT FINALLY CAMERON IS ABLE TO FIGHT CHARLIE WITHOUT JORDIE TO HELP HIM!
James Peters: Cameron now trying to recover, taking her time to regain her breath, what an insane match this was, and it’s not over yet! Cameron now rolling Charlie into the ring, AND HE’S TRYING TO CRAWL TO THE CORNER JORDIE’S ARMS ARE TIED IN! HE’S INCHING HIS WAY OVER TO HER, BUT CAMERON WITH A STOMP TO THE BACK OF HIS HEAD! I THINK CHARLIE WANTED TO FREE JORDIE BUT HE WASN’T FAST ENOUGH, AND IT LOOKS LIKE THIS MATCH MAY BE COMING TO AN END SOON! Cameron now trying to pick of Charlie in that Argentine backbreaker position, BUT CHARLIE GETS OUT OF IT, AND HE KICKS OUT CAMERON’S KNEE!
Rich Russillo: Charlie now stumbling back into the corner, and I think he’s ready to end this! Cameron’s knee is in serious pain and he managed to target it at the perfect moment! Charlie now getting ready as Cameron slowly makes it back to her feet! THE CHARING CROSS- NO! CAMERON DUCKS IT AND GRABS HIM FROM BEHIND! STARDUST BREAKER! IT CONNECTS! THAT HUGE KNEE CONNECTS BUT IT SENDS CHARLIE INTO THE ROPES, AND HE BOUNCES OFF!
James Peters: CHARING CROSS!!!!!! THE CHARING CROSS JUST CONNECTED, AND THAT HAS TO BE IT! THAT LAST BIT OF STRENGTH CHARLIE HAD LEFT, AND HE USED IT TO DELIVER HIS BEST SHOT! BUT WHAT NOW? BOTH CHARLIE AND CAMERON, THEY AREN’T MOVING, AND JORDIE IS STILL TIED TO THE POST, THERE’S NOTHING SHE CAN DO ABOUT THIS!
Rich Russillo: It’s a no DQ match, but this one may just get called off! Charlie and Cameron still have yet to move, and the referee now choosing to start a count!
ONE!
TWO!

(Ding! Ding! Ding!)
Bella Braxton: This match has been ruled as a NO CONTEST!!!
James Peters: Wow, to be honest I’m not surprised at this result, even if this match has no disqualifications These two gave it their all, and if anything this was bound to happen!
Rich Russillo: I can’t argue with that. These two gave it everything they had. Chair shots, kendo sticks, the table, Charlie even tried choking Cameron with a rope and it wasn’t enough! These two had an insane match but in the end neither person is able to continue!
(Jordie Ripley is being freed by another official, as both Charlie Marr and Cameron Ella Ava are unable to move after that match.)
James Peters: Ladies and gentlemen if you ever underestimated the toughness and grit of Cameron Ella Ava, then go back and watch this match
Rich Russillo: Ladies and gentlemen, what a night it’s been. It started off on such a somber note, but has ended with an incredible match between two world championship caliber athletes.
James Peters: The road to Pain for Pride continues to take center stage, and after tonight we have a brand new match to look forward.
Rich Russillo: Osamu Arcichida versus Jack Ripley for the National Elite Championship.
James Peters: Literally the last match I ever expected to see at Pain for Pride. Again, our thoughts are with Daryl Kinkade, an Elitist who wore his heart on his sleeve this entire season. You hate to see someone injured and hopefully he is able to recover and come back.
Rich Russillo: For James and myself, goodnight.
(As Rich and James sign off, the cameras cut to the parking lot area. It’s an eerie and rather unnecessary scene, especially with how Voltage began tonight. Impact is seen exiting the building, phone in hand. Impact is looking at the screen, while some poor helpless intern trails behind him with the Hall of Famer’s bags.)
(The sound of a car engine revving up is heard, but no one pays that any attention. It’s the back parking lot after all and there are cars everywhere. Impact finally looks up from his phone as they approach his limo and a frown crosses his face.)
Impact: What the fuck?
(The chauffeur is unconscious on the ground next to the limo and all the tires have been slashed. Impact looks around right as a pair of headlights flash on. A car comes flying towards Impact and the intern!!!)
Intern: WATCH OUT SIR!
(Impact and the intern dive out of the way as the car crashes into the side of the limo! The doors fly open and Oskar and Noah jump out! They rush towards Impact and the mighty Oskar Wagner catches Imp with a very European uppercut as Impact returns to his feet! Impact slams back first against the stray car, and Oksar begins unloading a series of those devastating chops right to Impact’s chest! Noah pushes Oskar out of the way and grabs Impact by the hair! He slams the 8-time champ’s face off the hood of the limo and then follows it up with a knee strike to the gut! Noah repeatedly drives his knee into Impact’s stomach until Impact has the breath knocked out of him! Noah grabs Impact by the arm and whips him into another car. He crouches down, waiting for Impact to get back to his feet. An out of sorts Impact finally gets back up and that’s when Noah strikes!)
(KILLSHOT!!)
(The back of Impact’s head slams into the front bumper of a stray vehicle and Noah picks himself up and spits down at the ground beside Impact. He motions for Oskar. Oskar walks over and grabs Impact, hoisting him up in the powerbomb position. Oksar turns around and powerbombs Impact right through the windshield of the limo!)
(The back entrance flies open and a slew of EAW officials come rushing out. Cameron Church and Evelyn Ridley are among, and so is Rex McAllister. Rex pushes his way to the front of the scene and stares at Noah in shock.)
Rex McAllister: What the fuck have you done?
(A twisted little smile crosses Noah’s face as he looks around at all the carnage.)
Noah Reigner: I just taught an asshole not to ever play Gawd with me, and if you want some, you can get it too, Rex. I’m not fucking around. Neither of you are getting your hands on my World Heavyweight Championship come Pain for Pride, so get your ass in line, and I’ll shoot you down next.
(Noah points his fingers in a gun motion at Rex.)
Noah Reigner: House. Always. Wins.
(EAW logo buzzes.)
