(EAW intro plays.)
(The intro fades out and a highlight video of last week’s blockbuster episode begins to play. Last week’s horrific scene with Daryl Kinkade takes center stage and the ramifications of that leading to the return of former National Elite Champion, Osamu Arcichida. Arcichida would take credit for putting Daryl on the shelf indefinitely, and Pain for Pride’s National Elite Championship match was changed to Jack Ripley defending against Osamu. The World Heavyweight Championship match took yet another turn when Impact banned all weapons from the match. Both Rex and Noah would react to the added stipulation, but it would be the champ who would take things to another level. Noah would snap, and lmpact would feel the full effect of what House Reigner was capable of! To further illustrate how amazing Pain for Pride was going to be, the match for the Unified Tag Team Championships had another element added to it. Empire Tag Team Champion, Minerva, would pick up a huge victory for Heavenly Hell in a fatal fourway match that featured a member of each team, thus earning a place in the Pain for Pride match for Constance Blevins and herself. Xavier Williams and Cameron Ella Ava got confirmation that their match would go on as scheduled at the grand spectacle, and Cameron would battle Charlie Marr to a draw in Voltage’s incredible main event. Lethal Consequences and Scott Diamond signed their contract to make their match at PFP official, and to cap it all off, the living legend El Landerson would declare himself for the 24/7 Battle Royal!)
(The highlight video fades out and cuts to the ringside area. The camera pans around the Phillips Arena, and the fans are going crazy for the last Voltage of the season! “33rd Blakk Glass” by Sosmula & Zillakami blares throughout the building and red and blue pyro shoots from the stage. After the Voltage theme song finishes and the smoke from the pyro clears, “Self Help Tape” by Moses Sumney begins to play. The crowd cheers for their favorite Voltage commissioner, ‘Captain Charisma’ Matt Daniels. Still on crutches and healing from his groin injury, Matt hobbles onto the stage with a microphone in hand. He takes a minute to soak up the crowd’s reaction as his music fades before lifting the microphone up to his perfect mouth.)
Matt Daniels: The road to Pain for Pride has led us here… HOTLANTA!
(Matt grins because he knows he just went for the cheap pop and got it.)
Matt Daniels: In less than a week, the three-day, sports entertainment extravaganza that is Pain for Pride will kick off from Mercedes-Benz Stadium, and it’s going to be one hell of a fucking show! I’m so proud of every single Voltage Elitist and how hard they’ve worked this season, and that’s why I’m out here tonight. Every year after Pain for Pride, Elite Answers Wrestling shakes things up with the annual draft. There’s a huge possibility that Voltage could lose everyone, and if that is the case, then I want to use this time to give a heartfelt thank you to every man and woman who competed on this show this season. From the regulars on the roster to the special guests who might have found themselves inside the ring thanks to an invitation or a talent exchange, it’s truly been a pleasure. As someone who’s been in this company for many, many years, I can say that the talent level has never been better, and with the changes for next season, I know things are going to get even more competitive. Personally, I welcome the women from Empire with open arms and with a promise that I will do everything in my power to make sure they are treated fairly and given the same opportunities as their male counterparts here on Sunday nights.
(The crowd pops and Matt nods his head. Everyone knows that whatever women get drafted to Voltage, they’ll have an uphill battle on their hands with Veena around. Having Matt already on their side is a big deal.)
Matt Daniels: I’m pretty excited to see how Voltage looks after the draft, but we still have two shows to get through before we can officially close the books on Season 12! Tonight’s main event features two visiting Showdown Elitists, as well as our own Visual Prophet (there was a hint of sarcasm in Matt’s voice at the mention of Viz), in a Cash in the Vault preview match! Osamu Arcichida returns to the ring tonight to take on Bowen Castillo! The Unified Tag Team Champions, The Wildcards, will be taking on newcomers, The Mechanical Animals, in what could be a future tag team championship match down the line! And for some ungodly reason, my precious Co-Commissioner, Veena, has decided to step into the ring tonight against Cameron Ella Ava. Personally, my money’s on Cam!
(The crowd agrees and a chant for Cameron breaks out across the building.)
Matt Daniels: We’re going to end on a high tonight and turned our attention to Pain for Pride. Thank you to each and everyone of you who have supported us this season! Season 13 is going to be incredible and I can’t wait to see what it has in store! Enjoy the show, everyone!!!!
(“Self Help Tape” by Moses Sumney begins to play one more time and Matt waves to the crowd. They give him a standing ovation as he hobbles off stage and Voltage fades to its first commercial break.)
(Commercial break for CVS Pharmacy’s Charcoal & Black Sugar dual-action scrub facial mask. It’s paraben and phthalate free, and makes a damn good exfoliator.)
(Voltage returns from break and “Stitch” by Wage War is playing across the PA system. Ring announcer, Bella Braxton raises the microphone to her perfectly glossed lips.)
Bella Braxton: LADIES AND GENTLEMEN… PLEASE WELCOME THE NATIONAL ELITE CHAMPION… JACK RIPLEY!!!!
(The crowd cheers for the champ as he makes his way down to the ring. Jack is dressed in street clothes and once he slides inside, he hops onto the turnbuckle, posing with the National Elite Championship. After taking a few minutes to soak in the reaction from the crowd, Jack climbs down and takes the microphone from Bella.)
Jack Ripley: We all know that things can change on a whim around here. A couple of weeks ago, I accepted a challenge for Pain for Pride from Daryl Kinkade.
(Jack has to pause for a second because at the mention of Daryl’s name, the crowd erupts into cheers. He nods his head, agreeing with the positive fan reaction for Kinkade.)
Jack Ripley: I agree, and I’m annoyed about what happened to him. I was looking forward to squaring off against Daryl once again, and on a stage like Pain for Pride no less. I promised each of you when I won this championship, that I would be the fighting champion this belt deserves, and accepting Daryl’s challenge was literally a no brainer. He was one of the best wrestlers in the entire company and I know we could have torn the roof off of Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
(Jack looks down at the mat for a second, shaking his head over the thought of what could have been.)
Jack Ripley: The circumstances that forced the match between Daryl and myself to get cancelled are shady to say the least. A former, and rather disgruntled ex-champion decided to pop up at the most opportunistic time and take matters into his own hands. Now, Osamu Arcichida, I know you’re back there listening, and honestly I hope you know what you’re getting yourself into come Pain for Pride. I have worked my ass off to have another chance at being a singles champion here in EAW and I’m not about to let anyone take this National Elite Championship from me. What you did to Daryl Kinkade was impressive, but perhaps it was a little desperate as well. I have said since day one that I will be a fighting champion here, and if you had wanted a crack at getting this belt back, then all you had to do was ask. When you were injured, this championship fell into the hands of a man who never deserved it. In fact, everything about Jackson Blayde was a disgrace. He was a walking, talking Donald Trump wannabe, and the entire EAW Universe rejoiced when I got my hands on this belt. I get the impression he’s the man you wanted to face upon your return here, but unfortunately karma caught up to Blayde before you could.
Jack Ripley: What you did to Daryl was unnecessary and honestly, it was a little uncalled for but I’m not going to stand up here and paint myself as some paragon of virtue. Once upon a time I was a man who did desperate things myself. My time as a member of the 1% is nothing to write home about. All the shit that I did caught up to me, and to make a long story short, that’s how I ended up here on Voltage. When a person falls, it hurts, and having to rebuild yourself is one of the hardest things you will ever have to do. But that’s not happening for you at Pain for Pride. You might be bitter and angry over what happened to you, but that had nothing to do with me. You’re not stepping into the ring with me next weekend and getting some kind of warped revenge. I had nothing to do with what happened to you, and I plan on ending my season on the highest of notes. I have been through a lot this year. I have grown as a wrestler and as a man. The EAW Universe has been with me through everything, even if they weren’t always on my side.
(Jack smirks, and the crowd cheers. Jack Ripley has more than redeemed himself in their eyes.)
Jack Ripley: I have been a champion, lost the belt, got fired, and found new life. I have had my family ripped apart, but I have also won the wars. I got another chance to win a championship and I’m not letting this National Elite Championship leave my waist. At Pain for Pride, your grand return is going to be short lived, Osamu. I can’t wait to beat you and humble you.
(Jack lowers the microphone and his music hits. The crowd erupts for the National Elite Champion, and Voltage fades into a detailed recap from last night’s episode of Showdown.)
(Returning from the break, we find that Jack Ripley has remained at ringside, although now he sits in a chair away from the commentary table. His National Elite championship rested on his lap, and his arms crossed over his chest. He stares intensely inside of the ring, watching as Bella takes her place to announce the next match.)
Bella Braxton: The following match is scheduled for one fall….
(Duran Duran’s “Hungry Like the Wolf” is the first song that hits the P.A. system. Just a few brief moments later, ‘The Carolina Playboy’ Bowen Castillo pushes through the guerrilla curtain. The crowd’s reaction is mixed towards the man that’s slowly beginning to build his own credentials here in EAW. He stops on the top of the stage, chewing on his mouthguard while he stares into the crowd.)
Bella Braxton: Introducing first … from Clemson, South Carolina – weighing in at One Hundred and Ninty-Seven pounds. He is the Carolina Playboy … Bowen Castillo!
(After the introduction, he began to make his way down the rampway.)
Rich Russillo: Bowen has quietly made a name for himself on Voltage, becoming a dependable star to put on a solid match – no matter who he’s against. He win-loss column may not favor him, but he’s turning heads and all he needs is that one win to begin his climb to stardom. I know that for a fact.
James Peters: I agree with all of that, he just needs that one big win. Tonight is another chance for him to make that happen, but it’s a tall order. He’s going to need to be on his A-game if he wants a chance to defeat a former National Elite champion.
Rich Russillo: Well, his opponent hasn’t been in the ring in quite some time, so Bowen may have the advantage in that respect. Only time will tell, but from looking at him right now – Bowen looks to be hyped for this match. Let’s hope he can jump this hurdle and impress the champion sitting at ringside.
(Bowen’s climbed into the ring and mounted a corner near where Ripley sits. He’s pointed directly at the champion, motioning for the title around his waist with a cocky grin. Afterword, he climbs down just as the lighting fades and the sound system goes quiet for a moment. The beginning of “Eyes on Fire” by Zed’s Dead begins and a single spotlight shines onto the stage..)
Bella Braxton: And his opponent … from Osaka, Japan – weighing in at Two Hundred and Thirty-Four Pounds. He is Osamu Arcichida!
(That was the cue. The song officially kicked in, and Osamu moved out onto the stage from behind the curtain – pulling a MASSIVE reaction from the crowd. It’s not a favorable one.)
James Peters: Damn. You’d think Osamu killed their favorite wrestler or something.
Rich Russillo: :mjcry:
James Peters: :mjcry:
Rich Russillo: This was going to be a tall task for Bowen – you weren’t lying when you said that. Osamu looks to be in incredible shape and more than ready for this moment. The only questions I have is; will rust be an issue? And are there any lingering injury problems? I guess we’ll find out very soon.
James Peters: If I know Osamu like I think I do, he wouldn’t return at anything less than one hundred percent and he definitely wouldn’t have done what he did to Daryl Kinkade.
(Osamu has climbed into the ring and stopped in the dead center, spreading his arms to his sides and soaking in the crowd’s reaction. They boo even louder. After a moment, he drops his arms and stares directly at Ripley on the outside. The lighting returns to normal, and the song comes to an end. And here we go..)
(Ding! Ding! Ding!)
James Peters: Osamu is in the process of removing his ring jacket, and Bowen takes advantage – clubbing him from behind with a forearm that sends the Japanese star dropping into the corner. Bowen doesn’t let up, ripping the jacket off of Osamu and using it to choke him. The referee is in there, warning Bowen and now he’s releasing the choke. That’s not a legal way to begin a match,
Rich Russillo: But it’s effective, and if you’re Bowen you want to be nothing short of effective against someone like Osamu who has been known to end things quickly if he finds an advantage.
James Peters: Bowen’s thrown away the ring jacket, and now lays the boots to Osamu, keeping him trapped in the corner. He’s pulled him up and whipped him hard across the ring. Osamu smashes into the turnbuckles and the force pushes him right back out … right into a running dropkick from Bowen! That shotgun-esque dropkick sends him back into the corner hard. Osamu drops down to the mat, and Bowen is quickly back to his feet with a smile.
Rich Russillo: Now isn’t the time to get cocky, though. Stay on him. The man is a former champion for a reason.
James Peters: Valid point. Osamu is beginning to make his way to his feet, but is promptly met with a stiff chop to the chest from Bowen. Bowen drags Osamu into the middle of the ring, firing a series of strikes to the former National Elite champion. Hitting him with kicks to the outside of the knees, forearms, elbows and palm strikes to the chest. Bowen grabs Osamu’s arm and whips him into the ropes, taking him down with a deep armdrag and quickly transitions into an armbar!
Rich Russillo: He wrenches the Armbar in deep, as if he’s trying to make Osamu tap right away – or pull it from his socket. Bowen knows the pressure is on, especially while Ripley sits at ringside watching this match. Bowen knows a win over the next challenger for the championship, should put him in line for consideration post Pain for Pride.
James Peters: But he also must know that an armbar this early in the game isn’t going to work against a veteran like Osamu. Osamu has managed to roll his body through enough to slip out of the hold. He’s back to his feet and Bowen looks to continue the assault with more strikes, but Osamu fires off strikes of his own. Here comes the Japanese export, teeing off with Bowen. Back and forth trading forearms and chops. Bowen throws a wild forearm that is blocked and countered with a stiff side kick that sees the Carolina Playboy stepping back a few steps, bent forward and holding his stomach. Osamu drops down, upper cutting Bowen – and for the first time, Bowen is off of his feet. Osamu’s up, grabbing Bowen and pulling him up fully.. Snap suplex, immediately followed into an elbow drop! He drives the point of his elbow into Bowen’s chest, floating into a cover.
(One!
Tw–)
Rich Russillo: Bowen’s kicked out just before two. Osamu grabs Bowen by the hair, dragging him to his feet .. Bowen with a series of strikes to the stomach in order to get Osamu to release his grip. Bowen tees off with forearm strikes to the side of the head, turning and hitting the near ropes. He comes back .. Osamu leapfrog! .. Bowen comes back .. Osamu drop down! Bowen hits the ropes again..
James Peters: BEAUTIFUL DROPKICK BY OSAMU! Bowen hits the mat, but almost immediately rolls back up to his feet. He charges at Osamu, looking for a lariat – but Osamu ducks underneath. Bowen stops dead in his tracks, turns around and eats a superkick to the knee! Bowen drops to his knees, and immediately Osamu’s followed up with a stiff DDT to the kneeling Bowen! Doing something uncharacteristic for Osamu, he takes his eyes off of the match and looks at Ripley.
(On the outside of the ring, Ripley narrows his eyes on Osamu in the ring while patting the championship on his lap.)
Rich Russillo: While he’s taken his eyes off of Bowen, Bowen’s returned to his feet. Bowen with a chop block on Osamu, taking him down! Bowen’s up to his feet again, laying the boots to Osamu. He hits the ropes and comes back just as Osamu is returning to his feet. Running Shotei Palm Strike sends Osamu back down to the mat. Bowen’s certainly proud of himself after that, pointing to his head asif he outsmarted Osamu and hit a big maneuver.
James Peters: Well, he has Osamu on his back. He just needs to capitalize, and I think he has an idea in mind on how to capitalize here. He’s sized Osamu up and nailed him with a soccer style kick to the ribs as he was beginning to push himself up, then exits the ring and stands on the apron. Osamu’s, once again, beginning to push himself up to his feet. He’s favoring that knee a little bit from the chop block he suffered just moments ago. Bowen’s begging him to stand…
Rich Russillo: GOOD EYE, SNIPER!! Bowen slingshotted himself through the ropes, catching Osamu’s head and neck as he dove through – bringing him down with a cutter! Osamu’s face smashes into the mat and he’s rolled onto his back. Bowen with the pin! He can take this right now, James!!
(One!
Two!
Three!)
…
…
James Peters: OSAMU’S FOOT WAS ON THE BOTTOM ROPE! THE REFEREE SEES IT JUST BEFORE HE CALLS FOR THE BELL! Bowen sits up, thinking he’s won the match and now the referee has to explain that Osamu’s foot was on the ropes.
Rich Russillo: I don’t agree with this at all. Bowen clearly pinned Osamu, and it’s not his fault that the referee missed Osamu’s foot on the ropes when he counted the three. Match should be over, Bowen wins!
James Peters: Not so fast, Rich. The referee never called for the bell, and we all know that nothing is final until that bell sounds. … Bowen turns around and Osamu is up to his feet. Bowen THROWS A MASSIVE ROUNDHOUSE KICK, LOOKING TO FINISH THIS OFF EARLY WITH “THE JETS”! …. BUT OSAMU LEANS BACK, AVOIDING THE KICK!!!!! BOWEN’S FOOT LANDS BACK ON THE MAT AND BEFORE HE CAN REPOSITION HIMSELF, OSAMU DROPS DOWN, GRABBING THE LEG AND ROLLING WITH IT! “OSAMU LOCK”!! ROLLING INVERTED KNEEBAR! HE’S GOT IT LOCKED IN! THAT’S THE MOVE WE THINK DESTROYED DARYL KINKADE’S KNEE!!!!
Rich Russillo: Bowen’s scratching and clawing for the ropes! He’s screaming in pain! … HE’S TAPPING! BOWEN TAPPED OUT!
(Ding! Ding! Ding!)
Bella Braxton: Your winner by way of submission .. Osamu Arcichida!
James Peters: Osamu is successful in his return match on Voltage, and now he looks forward to Pain for Pride where he meets Jack Ripley for the National Elite Championship.
Rich Russillo: Bowen put up a valiant effort, and that won’t go unnoticed. But Osamu was just too much for him to handle on this night. Osamu certainly hasn’t missed a step, applying that submission out of nowhere and picking up the win.
James Peters: Jack Ripley is looking into the eyes of a man who wants to recapture the championship.
(Osamu has his arm raised in victory before he climbs the turnbuckle. He looks directly at Jack Ripley, who’s stood up and raises the championship high in the air. The crowd is loving this as Voltage fades to commercial break.)
(Commercial break for Panera Bread. Their bacon, scrambled egg, and cheese on the asiago bagel is the stuff dreams are made of. Pairs well with a light roast coffee. Head to your local Panera Bread today!)
(Voltage returns and cuts to Sofia Clarke, who is standing in the crowd. The fans that are around her are mugging for the camera, clearly excited that they are on television right now.)
Sofia Clarke: Ladies and gentlemen, one of the most compelling stories going into this year’s Pain for Pride is the journey of the two-time world champion, Rex McAllister. When Rex joined the Voltage roster last year after the draft, he was fresh off a loss at the biggest event of the year to Diamond Cage. Rex had gone into the Pain for Pride Festival as the EAW Champion and allowed that championship to be snatched from his hands in the deciding fall of a best of three match. There are a lot of Elitists that would have allowed themselves to fall off the radar after a loss like that, but not Rex McAllister. Rex picked himself up, dusted himself off, and forged ahead, taking Voltage by storm. He captured the World Heavyweight Championship off of Chris Elite back at Crossfire and carried this brand on his back for the majority of the season. Rex weathered every storm thrown at him, managed to elevated the careers of Daryl Kinkade and Charlie Marr, and continued to remain rock steady no matter what happened. At King of Elite, Rex stepped into the very first Barbed Wire Massacre match and put on an absolute classic with Impact. While Impact emerged victorious, Rex effectively erased any doubts that people had when it came to his ability to tackle any kind of match.
Fans: REX! REX! REX! REX! REX! REX! REX! REX! REX! REX! REX! REX! REX! REX! REX!
Sofia Clarke: As you can see, I am surrounded by quite a few members of the EAW Universe that love Rex and are firmly behind him going into next week’s Pain for Pride. Rex’s quest for redemption and to capture that elusive third world championship is something people can’t stop talking about.
(Sofia turns to the fans and singles out one of them.)
Sofia Clarke: What’s your name?
Fan: Andy.
Sofia Clarke: Why are you a Rex fan, Andy?
Andy: I just think the dude is pretty cool. I mean, he busts his ass and has a work ethic that is second to none. I know people like to say they’re the hardest working wrestler in the company, but can they really rival Rex? Dude is solid. He is Mr. Consistency. You can always count on Rex to come through, and even if he doesn’t get the ‘Dub, you know he’s gunna work twice as hard to get it the next time.
(Sofia pulls another fan into frame.)
Sofia Clarke: What’s your name?
Fan: Arabella.
Sofia Clarke: In your opinion, Arabella, what makes Rex better than the World Heavyweight Champion, Noah Reigner?
Arabella: Literally everything, especially the fact he is so tan. Like honestly, I think Australian Gold needs to drop their sponsorship with that dumb whore Kassidy and sign Rex. Can you just imagine him shirtless, running on the beach, his bronze skin glistening with sweat? Like it gets me super hot, and I want him to dad lecture the fuck out of me to be honest.
Sofia Clarke: ….
Arabella: And Noah has shitty hair. That’s why I hate him.
Sofia Clarke: Well that’s not the answer I was expecting but alright. What about you? What’s your name?
(A teenage boy steps forward.)
Fan: Clyde.
Sofia Clarke: Clyde, why do you think Rex is going to beat Impact at Pain for Pride?
Clyde: Because Impact is nothing but a walking, talking dictionary and who the hell wants that as champion? Look, babe. Impact’s time has come and gone, and we are in an entirely new era now. We live in a society that needs someone like Rex McAllister as the champion. He is the type of blue collar individual that you can depend on to put on the best matches and carry the World Heavyweight Championship with class and dignity. People relate to him and they see themselves in Rex. He’s not going out there, acting like a school shooter, and threatening to off people like Noah does. And most importantly, he’s not a part-timer like Impact. No one wants to see a champion who is just going to show up on television once a month and compete in a match against the local enhancement talent. The EAW Universe deserves better than that. Rex does everything right, every single time, and he is the only person on Voltage who deserves to be a world champion.
Sofia Clarke: Thank you, Clyde. Do you guys all agree with Clyde?!
(Sofia’s section of Rex fans erupt. They absolutely agree with Clyde and began chanting Rex’s name again.)
Fans: REX! REX! REX! REX! REX! REX! REX! REX! REX! REX! REX! REX! REX! REX! REX!
(The chanting of the fans leads to Voltage fading into the backstage area. Rex is seen sitting in the lockerroom with a rather serious look on his face. He is not dressed to compete because he’s not booked. He wears jeans, his own EAW T-shirt, and sneakers. He also looks very tan which probably pleases Arabella to be honest. Rex rakes a hand through his hair and begins to speak.)
Rex McAllister: If there’s one thing I can honestly say about this season, it’s that I have learned a lot, which is necessary if a person wants to continue to grow and evolve into the best version of themselves. Early in my career, I struggled to grasp this place, but I had people impart their wisdom on me and even inside the ring, I learned many valuable lessons. That’s why I never doubted myself after Grand Rampage. I knew that I would be able to pick myself back up, and I knew that I would live to fight another day because of all the knowledge and experience I have accumulated since day one here. There was only one way the season could conclude for this Elitist, and I knew that somehow I would find my way into this match for the World Heavyweight Championship. I have been tied to Noah Reigner and Impact for the majority of the last six months. In my eyes, it was always going to come down to the three of us, in the middle of that ring, in Atlanta. Next weekend, we find ourselves competing under one unique set of rules thanks to the Gawd Contract, and it’s a challenge that I’m definitely looking forward too. If there is one thing you can count on when it comes to me, it’s that I’ll always rise to the occasion. I love to compete and it gets no bigger than Pain for Pride and competing for a world championship.
Rex McAllister: My journey this year is a little different. I’m not the defending champion. I’m just one of the two challengers, but my goal remains the same. I won’t settle for anything less than winning, and for having that moment that is going to mean the world to me. I know that Noah and Impact are going to have similar thoughts and I don’t expect this match to be beautiful. It will be a war. It’ll be a war fueled by pure ego, blind hatred, and the overwhelming desire to prove that you are the best wrestler in the world. It’s going to take everything the three of us have in our tanks to walk away a winner, and I’m fully prepared to endure whatever physical pain comes my way. I have conditioned myself for situations like these and whatever torment Noah and Impact try and inflict on me, I’ll be ready for it. The pay off in the end will surpass whatever physical pain I’ll experience. To raise the World Heavyweight Championship in the air at Pain for Pride will be the greatest moment of my life so far. To say I’m ready would be an understatement. To be cliche, I was born ready. I’m mentally, physically, and emotionally prepared for this match, and it’s going to take a Herculean effort for Noah to retain his championship, and a monumental effort from Impact to get the better of me again. I live. I learn. I move forward. Pain for Pride is coming, and this Elitist is ready to become the world champ for the third time.
(Rex smiles.)
Rex McAllister: See you soon.
(Voltage fades to commercial break.)
(Commercial break for Sugarfree RedBull, the Pear edition. With only 15 calories per can, it’s the perfect drink to revitalize your body and your mind. :wow:)
(Voltage returns from break. “Enemy Strike” by Yuki Hayashi begins to play as Myles walks out onto the stage, but he waits there as “It Follows” by Cane Hill begins to play. Xander comes out and the two walk to the ring to a mostly positive reaction, with the few negative ones being directed to Xander.)
Bella Braxton: Making their way to the ring… At a combined weight of 448 pounds… they are the EAW Unified Tag Team Champions… XANDER PAYNE AND MYLES, THE WILDCARDS!!!
James Peters: Not much can really be said about this team at this point that hasn’t been said! Like Myles said, these two are UNDEFEATED in tag team action, and that’s why they’re the champions of this division!
Rich Russillo: Yep, these two have defeated everyone put in their way, some on more than one occasion, and they look to get another win tonight against a team that’s still relatively new.
(“Cathedral” (w/Clock intro) by WCPM follows as the Mechanical Animals comes out to the stage. Sabin and David walk down to the ring, with Joseph Gracons behind them.)
Bella Braxton: Making their way to the ring… At a combined weight of 463 pounds… accompanied by Joseph Gracons… DAVID GIBSON AND SABIN RICHARDS, THE MECHANICAL ANIMALS!!!!
James Peters: This team has not been here in EAW very long, but already they have a huge opportunity at hand as they face the current tag team Champions. A win here tonight would be huge for them, and put them in contendership for a title shot very quickly.
Rich Russillo: Yeah, this is where the Mechanical Animals need to give it their all. This is a match I know will be great, so let’s get into it.
(Ding! Ding! Ding!)
James Peters: This match is now underway and this time Xander Payne is starting off the match against David Gibson! The two now beginning to lock up but Xander has the clear strength advantage as he powers Gibson into the corner! The referee beginning to separate the two, but Gibson immediately charges right at Xander- RIGHT INTO A CLOTHESLINE! Xander now with a rear chinlock applied and Gibson is already in trouble! David trying to reach out to the ropes but he’s clearly unable to, but now he’s managing to get himself to one foot! Gibson now on both feet as Xander transitions into a headlock! Gibson now pushing Xander into the ropes, but there’s the tag! Gibson didn’t see it as Xander goes bouncing into the opposite pair of ropes, and Myles grabs a hold of David! WOW, WHAT A COMBINATION, A LARIAT AND GERMAN SUPLEX COMBO BY THE WILDCARDS, AND THERE’S THE FIRST COVER OF THIS MATCH BY MYLES!
ONE!
T-
James Peters: BUT THERE’S THE KICK OUT! Myles now attempting to lock in a Crossface early on but David is able to free himself, and now the two quickly get back on their feet! Myles now with an irish whip to David, but David responds with a dropkick, sending Myles into the Mechanical Animals’ corner!
Rich Russillo: Sabin now being tagged in as David grabs Myles, AND THERE’S A DOUBLE STO! Sabin now climbing up to the top rope, AND THERE’S A FROG SPLASH! Sabin now with the cover on Myles!
ONE!
TW-
Rich Russillo: But Myles kicks out! Sabin now looking too lock in an armbar on Myles, and he gets it! Sabin has an armbar locked in, just imagine what it would do for the Mechanical Animals if Sabin was able to make Myles tap out! Myles is struggling right now, and Xander wants the tag- but look! Myles attempting to get to his feet, and he’s putting his other arm around Sabin! Myles, picking him up- POWERBOMB! BUT MYLES ISN’T DONE YET, HE PICKS HIM BACK UP, BUT SABIN HITS A HURRICANRANA, SENDING MYLES STUMBLING INTO THE ROPES! Sabin charging in, BUT MYLES TOSSES HIM OVER THE ROPES! Sabin is able to get to his feet but look at Myles! TOPE CON HILO! Myles rolling Sabin back into the ring and now Myles is climbing up to the top rope, waiting for Sabin to rise!
James Peters: Sabin now managed to get back to his feet, Myles now with the- NO! BICYCLE KNEE BY SABIN! SABIN JUST HIT A BICYCLE KNEE ON MYLES RIGHT OUT OF MID AIR, AND IF YOU REMEMBER GUYS THIS IS HOW MYLES TOOK GAINES OUT AT FIGHTING SPIRIT, AND THERE’S THE COVER BY SABIN!

TWO!!-
James Peters: BUT MYLES KICKS OUT ONCE AGAIN! Sabin now immediately going for the tag to David, and Myles is in trouble! Sabin picking Myles up now as David runs the ropes, CLOTHESLINE INTO THE RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP! Myles is trying to reach out to Xander but David is stomping all over the Champion! Myles forced into the corner, and David is backing up into the opposite corner as Myles slowly uses the turnbuckles to get back to his feet! David charging in- RIGHT INTO A SUPERKICK! David dropping to his knees, but Myles grabs him by the arms- AND THERE’S A KNEE STRIKE, RIGHT IN THE JAW! Myles now making the tag to Xander, AND THERE’S A HUGE RUNNING SENTON BY THE PAYNEKILLER! The cover now by Xander!

James Peters: DAVID KICKS OUT! Xander though, IMMEDIATELY INTO A CROSSFACE! XANDER’S ABLE TO LOCK IN THE CROSSFACE, BUT DAVID IS NEAR THE ROPES! ALL HE HAS TO DO IS REACH FOR THEM, AND HE’S ABLE TO! DAVID GRABS THE ROPES BUT XANDER IS QUICK TO PICK HIM UP! FALGOROSH-NO! SUPERKICK BY DAVID NOW, SENDING XANDER IN THE CORNER, AND THERE’S ANOTHER TAG TO SABIN!
Rich Russillo: The two now grabbing Xander out of the corner, THE FINAL JUDGEMENT! THE AIDED DOUBLE ARM DDT CONNECTS, AND THERE’S THE COVER!
ONE!

Rich Russillo: MYLES THREW SABIN OUT OF THE RING, AND NOW DAVID JUST DID THE SAME TO MYLES! David picking Xander up, and it looks like he’s trying to throw Xander out as well, BUT NO! DAVID GOES OUT OF THE RING AS XANDER TURNED IT AROUND, AND NOW WHAT? XANDER RUNNING THE ROPES, AND NOW IT’S XANDER WITH THE TOPE CON HILO, TAKING OUT EVERYONE! YOU DON’T SEE THAT FROM XANDER VERY OFTEN! XANDER NOW ROLLING DAVID BACK INTO THE RING, AND HE THROWS HIM INTO THE ROPES, POP UP POWERBOMB! IT CONNECTS, AND THERE’S THE COVER! Wait a minute, why isn’t the ref counting?
James Peters: BECAUSE DAVID ISN’T THE LEGAL MAN! DAVID NEVER TAGGED HIMSELF BACK IN, AND THE REFEREE IS TELLING XANDER NOW- BUT LOOK! SABIN TAKING XANDER OUT FROM BEHIND! Sabin gave that Lariat his all, despite not having much strength left, but it still took Xander out after catching him from behind! Sabin to the top rope now, what’s he going for? IMPLODING 450 SPLASH CONNECTS! SABIN CALLS THIS THE DIVINE WIND, AND NOW THERE’S THE COVER TO END THIS MATCH!

James Peters: XANDER GOT THE SHOULDER UP! HOW!? HOW DID HE GET THE SHOULDER UP!? SABIN CAN’T BELIEVE IT! SABIN CAN’T BELIEVE HIS EYES, BUT NOW HE’S GOING BACK UP TO THE TOP ROPE- SUPERKICK! MYLES WITH A SUPERKICK TO SABIN FROM THE TOP ROPE, AND HE PICKS HIM OFF OF IT, SIT OUT POWERBOMB CONNECTS, AND MYLES EXITS THE RING, BUT NEITHER XANDER NOR SABIN CAN GET UP! THE REFEREE BEGINNING THE COUNT, AND MYLES MAY HAVE SAVED XANDER BUT HE ALSO COULD HAVE JUST COSTED BOTH THE WILDCARDS AND MECHANICAL ANIMALS THIS MATCH, THE REFEREE NOW BEGINNING THE COUNT!

Rich Russillo: But Xander is beginning to get to his feet! The count has stopped as Xander used the ropes to get up, and slowly Sabin is doing the same! Xander charging at Sabin in the corner, BUT SABIN GETS OUT OF THE WAY! ROLL UP NOW BY SABIN!
ONE!
TWO!!
THREE!!!
Rich Russillo: NO! KICK OUT BY XANDER, BUT SABIN RUNS THE ROPES- RIGHT INTO A POP UP POWER- WAIT NO! HE’S HOLDING HIM UP! XANDER’S HOLDING SABIN ON HIS SHOULDERS AND BACKING UP, AND MYLES TAGS HIMSELF IN! MYLES TO THE TOP ROPE, GOLD RUSH! THE GOLD RUSH CONNECTS, AND XANDER SENDS DAVID OUT OF THE RING JUST AS HE WAS CHARGING TOWARDS HIM! THE COVER NOW BY MYLES!
ONE!
TWO!!
THREE!!!
(Ding! Ding! Ding!)
Bella Braxton: Here are your winners.. the EAW Unified Tag Team Champions… XANDER PAYNE AND MYLES, THE WILDCARDS!!!!!
James Peters: And there you have it! The Wildcards defeat the Mechanical Animals, but they did not go down without a fight! That was a great match, and a great performance by the two teams, that is just what the Wildcards needed before Pain for Pride!
Rich Russillo: Yeah, if anything that match shouldn’t be anything to be disappointed about for the Mechanical Animals. They pushed the tag team Champions to the limit, and it’s only a matter of time until they’re in the title scene, but for now, your winners, the Wildcards!
(“Enemy Strike” plays as Myles and Xander has their hands held up by the referee. Sabin rolls out of the ring as David watches on from outside, clearly frustrated at what just happened. Voltage fades to a recap of Friday Night Dynasty.)
(Voltage returns and cuts to Sofia Clarke again. She has moved to a different section of the crowd, and finds herself surrounded by another group of exuberant fans.)
Sofia Clarke: Excuse the phrasing, but it’s hard to deny the impact that our second World Heavyweight Championship competitor has had on this sport for the last decade. The Quintessential Champion, Impact, has seen it all and done it all in this sport and every time he speaks or steps inside the ring, he continues to grow his legacy. His fellow Elitists might despise him for the way he carries himself, but it’s hard to deny his list of accomplishments and Hall of Fame rings. Next week at Pain for Pride, Impact steps into the ring looking to break his own record of world championships and gain his unprecedented and unrivaled ninth. In his opinion, and in the eyes of many, Impact was robbed of the right to have a true eighth reign, and we know that he is going to walk into Pain for Pride with revenge on his mind. The Gawd Contract that Imp possesses has added some interesting elements to this match. This no ropes, submissions only match has been put into place to hurt someone, and Impact looks to be the prime person in the match that’s dishing out that punishment. Is he the favorite walking into next weekend’s World Heavyweight Championship match?
(The fans around Sofia cheer.)
Sofia Clarke: Love him or hate him, these fans respect Impact’s longevity and everything he’s accomplished in this sport. It’s hard to find an argument to use against him because he really is that damn good at all of this. Joining me right now is Ron. You share a name with an EAW Hall of Famer!
Ron: And who would that be?
Sofia Clarke (looking startled): Ronn Bank$.
Ron: Oh yeah, the bozo who lost his career to Theron Nikolas last year. Impact would never.
Sofia Clarke: So why are you an Impact fan, Ron?
Ron: Because there is no one in this world who can do what he does and maintain the level of excellence that he does. Everything Impact says and touches is pure gold, and the dude has never wavered in his ability to say things that bury themselves under the skin of his opponents. A talent like Impact is timeless, and there will never be another man like him. Periodt.
(Sofia motions to a woman standing behind Ron. She’s an older woman and she wears an Alabama Crimson Tide shirt. When she smiles, she has three teeth. Typical.)
Sofia Clarke: Hey! What’s your name and why are you an Impact fan?
Fan: Helga and I’m a fan of Impact because he is seeeeeeeeeeexxxxxxxxxxyyyyyyyyy. Haaayyyyy.
Sofia Clarke: Is the only reason? You don’t have a particular reason as to why you’re a fan except that he is sexy?
Helga: No.
Sofia Clarke: Fantastic. What’s your name?
(Sofia motions for another fan to step forward.)
Fan: Craig.
Sofia Clarke: Nice to meet you, Craig. Why is Impact beating Rex and Noah next weekend?
Craig: That’s easy. It’s because he is actually the best in the world. Impact is a ruthless, cutthroat type of competitor who takes no prisoners. His threshold for pain is unrivaled and he has been through more wars in this company than Rex and Noah combined. His experience is unmatched.
Sofia Clarke: It’s hard to disagree with that. I take it that all of you are united in your opinion that Impact is leaving Atlanta with the World Heavyweight Championship next weekend?
Crowd: YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES!
(Sofia smiles and the scene in the crowd fades out. It fades in to a shot of Impact sitting in his recliner at his luxurious mansion in Washington. He wears a few war wounds from last week’s assault at the hands of House Reigner, but that trademark arrogance that is associated with Impact is still etched firmly on his face.)
Impact: It tells quite a story that the man who claims he can get it done on his own needed his thug to put me through a windshield last week on Voltage. Noah Reigner is a pussy ass bitch, and it’s easy to see that he’s already cracking under the pressure of being the World Heavyweight Champion going into the biggest event of the year. I have generously given Noah a chance to prove himself at Pain for Pride, and whether or not he can rise to the occasion is up to him. There won’t be a House Reigner at ringside to dance when their master commands it, and for the first time in his EAW career, Noah Reigner is truly the hunted. I don’t like Rex McAllister, but he is going to be looking to rip the head off Reigner just like I am. I’m curious to see how Noah tries to justify his actions from last week. I’m sure he’ll have some story and some excuse, like the people he surrounds himself with seem to have for every little setback they encounter, and that’s the problem I have with this so-called new and better generation. They don’t own up to their mistakes. They look for ways to overlook their own shortcomings and refuse to accept that they’re not as good as they say they are. They’re soft. They’re weak-minded, and they don’t have what it takes to truly make it here and create a legacy for themselves. People like Noah Reigner want to rip on my Gawd Contract and cry foul every time I snap my fingers and make a rule that honestly benefits them more than it does me, and it just furthers my point that this new crop of talent weren’t built to handle adversity. They will never get the things I’ve gotten in my career because they won’t stick it out long enough in order to do so. The second Reigner drops that World Heavyweight Championship he’s going to lose himself in his feelings and cry like the baby bitch I know he is. He’s already feeling the pressure and lashing out, and doing whatever he can to hold on to that championship and send a little message to Rex and myself that he’s the man, and that this is his world, and we are not invited. But his words fall on deaf ears, because here in Elite Answers Wrestling and more importantly, on Voltage, I’m the man who’s calling the shots and his actions won’t go unpunished. I definitely don’t have to throw around my power, but because it digs at Noah and has produced numerous emotional outbursts from him, I’m going to continue to do it, and after next weekend, I’ll be able to keep doing it as the World Heavyweight Champion…
(Impact holds up nine fingers.)
Impact: … for the ninth time.
(Impact smirks.)
Impact: As far as Rex goes, the ‘see you soon’ serial killer sounding bitch. Rex has never been and never will be in my league. If you mother fuckers want a cure for sleep deprivation next week, put anything Rex says about this match on repeat and I promise you’ll be asleep within five minutes. I can’t relate to ever being that boring, because even when I’m sitting here doing absolutely nothing, it’s still more fascinating than any long-winded sentence Rex can string together. Pain for Pride is upon us and both of these bitches are about to make the fatal mistake of bringing a knife to a gunfight. Nine reigns, bitch. I’m reclaiming MY World Heavyweight Championship come Pain for Pride.
(Impact’s words hang in the air as Voltage fades to another commercial break.)
(Commercial break for Target.)
(Voltage returns and cuts backstage as Kathy Kush stands ready with a microphone in hand.)
Kathy Kush: Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome at this time… Xavier Williams!
(The camera pans across to reveal Xavier Williams standing there with a big smile on his face. He sports a black leather jacket, nice shirt, and a casual pair of jeans as he puts his arm around Kathy.)
Xavier Williams: It’s a wonderful day, Kathy – hell, it’s been one hell of a week!
Kathy Kush: That’s the first question that I wanted to ask; how are you feeling after it was announced that your match with Cameron is now official for Pain for Pride.
(Xavier laughs as he runs his left hand through his hair, slicking his back out of his face.)
Xavier Williams: Let’s be honest – we were always going to have this match. Veena wanted to dig in her heels and do what she could to make sure it didn’t happen – but, if worse came to worse I would have set up a ring outside of that stadium and competed while something she truly cared about was happening. But, fortunately enough – while DEDEDE and I may not see eye to eye on a lot of things, but we both understand how important a match between Cameron and I is, not only for our careers, but this company and business as a whole. We understand the money that it’s going to generate, the marketability, the potential behind the possible promotion. The Board was never going to pass up the opportunity because some Vixen cries herself to sleep because two people she doesn’t like are on her show.
Kathy Kush: There’s been some doubt about you since you’ve returned. You’ve said it yourself; you’ve done some of the most heinous things in this company’s history, but now seemingly came back as a different person –
(Kathy stops talking as Xavier shakes his head.)
Xavier Williams: I’m not a changed man. I don’t believe in the idea that you can destroy pieces of yourself. Those people that are suddenly born again and they don’t have the same urges to do those things that they aren’t too proud of. I told Veena last week what would happen if she threatened people I care about. Harlow, my daughter – and I told her that it wouldn’t take a whole lot for me to do worse to her than I did in the past. But as I explained the night that I returned, my time away put things into perspective. I travelled down two different roads throughout my time here in EAW. I walked a road where I held control, and the other one was where I had no control. People talk about how great Jamie O’Hara, Noah Reigner, and Charlie Marr are. They’re names that are expected to carry this company into the brightest future possible. I was their blueprint. The leader of a new generation. But, I threw all of that away. I’ve had one hell of a career; I could walk away and never return and still go down as one of the greatest of all time – but, I threw away the opportunity to go down as the greatest of all time, and that’s because of the person that I became. There are thousands of questions that the world wants to ask me, but there’s always going to be the hint of doubt towards the answers that I’m going to give.
(The smile returns to the face of Xavier as he places his arm back around Kathy.)
Xavier Williams: But, who cares about that right now. There something so much better coming! Are you excited, Kathy? I sure am! Cameron against Veena! It’s going to be a slaughter, and I have the best seat in the house for it! Wooo!
(Xavier walks away as Kathy watches with what can only be described as a confused smile on her face as the camera cuts back to the ring.)
(Xavier’s theme song begins to play throughout the arena and the Hall of Famer is greeted with a thunderous ovation as he walks onto the stage.)
Bella Braxton: LADIES AND GENTLEMEN… PLEASE WELCOME THE SPECIAL GUEST COMMENTATOR FOR THE NEXT MATCH… XAVIER WILLIAMS!!!
Rich Russillo: I don’t know about you, James, but I am so excited for this match. It’s going to be an absolute shit show and I can’t wait to call it with you and Xav.
James Peters: Veena Adams hasn’t been in a wrestling ring in years, and I have no idea what her logic was in booking this match. She claims she is going to send Cameron home in a body bag tonight and that she won’t even make it to Pain for Pride.
Rich Russillo: :joy:
(Xavier has made his way over to Rich and James and puts on a headset.)
Rich Russillo: Welcome to the booth, Xav!
Xavier Williams: Are you ready to watch an murder happen?
James Peters: A murder on Voltage?! No wai!
(Xav’s music has cut and “ULTRAnumb” by Blue Stahli begins to play. As soon as Cameron Ella Ava steps through the curtains, the crowd starts screaming their heads off again.)
Bella Braxton: LADIES AND GENTLEMEN… THE FOLLOWING CONTEST IS SCHEDULED FOR…
Crowd: ONE FALL!!!!
Bella Braxton: INTRODUCING FIRST… FROM LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA… WEIGHING IN AT 130 POUNDS… SHE IS THE GODDESS… CAMERON ELLA AVA!!!!
(Cameron hypes up the crowd as she walks down the ramp. The fans just love her and once Cameron slides into the ring, her music fades out. “ME” by Taylor Swift featuring Brendon Urie begins to play and the crowd that was so warm and loving towards Cameron, turn into a bunch of booing mother fuckers. Veena Adams is met with nothing but hate as she walks onto the stage, and the beautiful blonde smiles brightly. She is dressed in gold ring attire and looks every bit like wrestling royalty.)
Bella Braxton: AND HER OPPONENT… FROM GREENWICH, CONNECTICUT… WEIGHING IN AT 125 POUNDS… SHE IS THE CO-COMMISSIONER OF VOLTAGE… VEENA ADAMS!!!!
James Peters: This crowd is letting Veena have it!
Rich Russillo: Well, it’s not like that woman goes above and beyond to endear herself to the fans. She is the most hateful person I have ever come across in my life.
Xavier Williams: She’s definitely a bitch. That’s for sure.
(Veena makes a throat slashing gesture at Cameron as she gets into the ring and Cameron can’t help herself. She starts to laugh. All that does is piss Veena off further and she walks over to Cameron, shoving her. Cameron shoves Veena back and the referee steps between the two women.)
(Ding! Ding! Ding!)
James Peters: This match is underway and Cameron is looking to lock up with Veena! Veena gives Cameron a look and yawns, and now she’s walking over to the ropes. I think she’s trying to get your attention, Xav.
Xavier Williams: Veena should probably keep her eyes on Cameron. How many times have we seen what happens when you turn your back on an Ava?
(Veena steps on the middle rope and leans over, shouting Xavier’s name.)
Veena Adams (Off Mic): How’s Harlow, Xavvy? Big Dick Bharlie really fucked up her face, didn’t he?
Xavier Williams (to Veena): You should probably turn around…
(Veena laughs hysterically and turns around, immediately freezing when she sees Cameron standing directly behind her.)
James Peters: CAMERON KICKS VEENA IN THE STOMACH AND LIFTS HER IN THE AIR! BREAKING BARRIERS! CAMERON PLANTS VEENA INTO THE MAT WITH THAT ARGENTINE BACKBREAKER! CAMERON DROPS DOWN BUT INSTEAD OF GOING FOR THE COVER SHE GRABS VEENA BY THE HAIR AND IS BEATING HER FACE INTO THE MAT!!!
Rich Russillo: You hate to see it.
Xavier Williams: No you don’t. LETS GO CAM!
James Peters: THE CROWD IS COUNTING THE NUMBER OF TIMES VEENA’S FACE HITS THE MAT AND WE ARE UP TO A COUNT OF 12!
Everyone: 13! 14! 15! 16! 17! 18! 19! 20!
Rich Russillo: CAMERON HAS VEENA AND SHE LOCKS HER IN THE AVA LOCK NOW! THE MODIFIED INVERTED STF HAS A BATTERED VEENA ADAMS TAPPING IMMEDIATELY!!!!!
(Ding! Ding! Ding!)
Bella Braxton: LADIES AND GENTLEMEN… HERE IS YOUR WINNER VIA SUBMISSION… CAMERON ELLA AVA!!!!
(The crowd erupts but not because Cameron is declared the winner. They’re cheering because The Goddess refuses to let go of the Ava Lock, despite the fact Veena is still tapping out and screaming.)
James Peters: The referee is trying to pry Cameron off of Veena now and finally Cameron lets go! She stands up and stomps on Veena’s back a few times before kicking the Voltage Co-Commissioner right out of the ring!!!
Rich Russillo: Cameron Ella Ava doing the Lord’s work tonight on Voltage. That should shut Veena up for a couple of weeks, at least.
Xavier Williams: You sure about that?
James Peters: :wow:
(Cameron rolls out of the ring and makes her way over to the broadcast table. Xavier is already on his feet and removes his headset. Friendly words are exchanged between the two Pain for Pride opponents as they look up at the ‘tron and see a close up shot of Veena’s angry face. She is being helped to the back by the referee and she is not happy at all.)
(Xavier raises Cameron’s arm in the air, and the crowd erupts at this. Veena stops at the top of the stage and with the referee’s help turns around to glare at the two of them.)
Veena Adams (Off Mic): FUCK YOU BOTH AND FUCK YOUR STUPID MATCH!
(Veena violently shoves the referee away from her and staggers to the back, disappearing behind the curtain.)
Rich Russillo: It looks like these two Pain for Pride opponents are on the same page, James! I can’t wait to see the classic match these two produce next weekend. It’s going to be fire!
James Peters: You can make a case as to why both of them are considered the best of the best, and next weekend we are going to see which one of them truly has that title.
(Cameron goes to walk off, but Xavier grabs her from behind!)
Rich Russillo: WHAT THE FUCK?!
James Peters: XAVIER WILLIAMS JUST LAID CAMERON ELLA AVA OUT WITH ‘END OF HEARTACHE!!!’
(A replay is shown of Xavier connecting with his version of the Zig Zag. The crowd seems a little confused.)
Rich Russillo: I thought these two were on the same page?!
(Xavier looks down at Cameron.)
Xavier Williams (Off Mic): Playtime’s over, Cam. I’ll see you at Pain for Pride where I show everyone that I am without a shadow of a doubt the best in the world.
(Xavier walks away from Cameron and begins to head up the ramp as Voltage fades to a recap for the final ever episode of Thursday Night Empire.)
(Voltage returns following the Empire recap and cuts to Kathy Kush one more time. She smiles into the camera.)
Kathy Kush: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guest at this time… the temporarily unretired Hall of Famer… Scott Diamond!
(The camera shot widens to show Scott Diamond, dressed in a track suit, standing next to Kathy.)
Kathy Kush: Scott, Pain for Pride is a week away and you haven’t been in the ring in what? Like 8 months?
Scott Diamond: Pretty much.
Kathy Kush: Is that going to hinder you at all when you take on LC next weekend?
Scott Diamond: I’m definitely not in the best shape, but honestly, is it even going to matter once I step inside the ring with Lethal Consequences? Matt Daniels called on me because he needed me to do a favor. He wanted me at Pain for Pride, beating the hell out of LC, and putting him down for good. I don’t think I need to be at my best to beat someone who was clearly never at his best, and I find it hard to believe that our match next weekend is going to end any other way than with LC taking yet another ‘L’. This garbage about LC being ‘underappreciated’ is hilarious. It gave me a good laugh because where the fuck should I even start with this? LC has somehow convinced himself that he is actually worth a fuck, and is some uncrowned world champion that has been jerked around this season. I mean, in what world? Sure, I saw Grand Rampage and saw what happened, but lets not act like quote ‘screwjobs’ are anything new in this sport. History is littered with these so-called injustices and as grown men, we press on.
Kathy Kush: In contrast to his attitude last week, LC seems to be content to just roll with the punches now and go with the flow.
Scott Diamond: LC is doing what LC does and that is play games. He loves to capture the attention of the crowd with his word play. There’s no way this man has changed his tune. He is still angry about what happened at Grand Rampage and no doubt he’s still bitter. He just doesn’t want to be called out on his bullshit, and who really does, Kathy? No one likes getting exposed for the crock of shit they are, and Lethal Consequences is no exception. He just has the unique ability to mask his insecurities to the point where the casual observer actually believes the shit he spews. His entire career has been nothing but a joke, and as I pointed out earlier this week on social media he’s never truly given anyone a reason to appreciate him. His own lack of give a shit got a title vacated. His world championship reign was pretty pathetic. He’s done absolutely nothing else of merit, and why he thinks his consistency this season warrants anything other than getting his ass kicked at Pain for Pride by me is lost on me.
(Scott pauses for a second.)
Scott Diamond: What is consistency, anyway? Does that include keeping his mouth shut when it came time to face Myles? I don’t remember LC saying much at all the first time that match was a thing. I also remember a couple of weeks ago he was pretty damn quiet when it came time to face the music and own up to the fact he screwed over Rex McAllister at Fighting Spirit. The man who claims to be underappreciated could have completed the trifecta of beating world championship contenders if he had just put up a real fight against Rex and not phoned that shit in. For someone who claims he was well on his way to beating Reigner, and for someone who did defeat Impact, you would think that LC would actually want to force the issue against McAllister and continue to prove his worth and why he should be in the Pain for Pride main event, but nah. Not Lethal Consequences. LC let the moment pass him by because at the end of the day, he doesn’t deserve to main event Pain for Pride and he knows that.
Kathy Kush: Are you going to be ready to back these words up come next weekend?
Scott Diamond: I’m going to be ready to do the job I’m being paid to do and once it’s done, I’m going to collect my check and take my ass right back home. At the end of the day, the words aren’t going to matter because what happens in the ring is what people will remember. I have been doing this for years and I know what’s expected of me come next weekend. Lethal Consequences is getting a much needed reality check and when all is said and done, he will have to figure out what his next step is.
Kathy Kush: Fair enough. Thank you for your time tonight, Scott, and good luck next weekend at Pain for Pr-
(Kathy lets out a cry as a spiked microphone is slammed into the back of Scott Diamond’s head! Scott drops to the ground and Lethal Consequences begins beating the hell out of his Pain for Pride opponent! It takes Scott a moment to gather his bearings, but once he does, he is able to pick himself up off the ground, drive his shoulder into LC’s gut, and force him back into the wall. The two men start exchanging rights and lefts as a slew of EAW officials rush into the picture and break up the fight.)
Scott Diamond: New demeanor, huh?
(LC laughs as he gets dragged away by the officials.)
Lethal Consequences: Just doing it. Rolling with the punches.
(Scott shrugs two officials off him and checks the back of his head. He’s bleeding and lets out a sigh, as Lethal Consequences disappears out of the scene. Voltage fades to commercial break.)
(Commercial break for Excedrin Migraine medicine. It works even if you have to take two extra strength Tylenol with it. :troll:)
(Voltage returns from break and cuts to Sofia Clarke one final time. She’s still hanging out with the fans in the crowd, and this time she has a group of them that are proud to call themselves fans of the World Heavyweight Champion, Noah Reigner.)
Sofia Clarke: Since last April, the World Heavyweight Champion, Noah Reigner, has been one of the most polarizing figures in all of EAW. He came into the company with a chip on his shoulder, with an air of confidence and swagger that people felt no rookie should have. Many people felt Noah was all bark and no bite, and that his meteoric rise to the top of this company was undeserved and handed to him. Despite the scorn and hate he received not just from the EAW Universe, but from his fellow competitors, Noah has continued to rack up win after win, and suffer very little in terms of adversity. What he’s been able to accomplish in a little over a year is future Hall of Fame stuff and he shows no signs of slowing down. At Pain for Pride, Noah finds himself with the opportunity to prove he is a deserving champion if he can overcome the challenges that Impact and Rex will throw at him.
(Sofia turns to the crowd.)
Sofia Clarke: Do you guys think Noah can do it?
Crowd: YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES!
Sofia Clarke: Guy in the purple shirt! What’s your name and why are you a Noah Reigner fan?
(The guy in the purple shirt turns around and looks like a deer caught in the headlights.)
Fan: Uhhh.. I just came here to get a hot dog.
Sofia Clarke: Alrighty! What about you? What’s your name?
(An edgy teenage girl steps forward.)
Fan: Ericka.
Sofia Clarke: Why is Noah Reigner your favorite wrestler?
Ericka: I don’t know. I just like him, I guess? I have watched Noah since the beginning because honestly indy wrestling is much cooler than this mainstream bullshit watered down product that is put on television. So-Cal Noah. Indy Noah. UK Noah. All these versions of Noah are why I became a fan. He’s always been able to talk the talk, and he’s proven time and time again he can walk the walk. I wasn’t surprised in the least when Noah waltzed into this company and turned it on its head. It was inevitable as soon as he signed his name on the dotted line. He’s legit and he’s more than deserving of the World Heavyweight Championship.
Sofia Clarke: Thank you, Ericka! How about you? What’s your name and why are Rex and Impact going to find themselves on the losing end of this match next weekend?
(Sofia is talking to a person behind Ericka now.)
Fan: I’m Steven and honestly I just think it’s a foregone conclusion that Noah is winning next weekend. Impact is over-the-hill and Rex has definitely lost a step in terms of where he’s at right now and how he started the season. Rex never should have lost to Viz, and Viz is someone that Noah has never lost too. This match has been designed to screw Noah regardless of what Impact says, but the joke is going to be on him. Noah is very underrated as a pure wrestler and he is going to shine in this environment and show everyone why he is the reigning and defending World Heavyweight Champion and that isn’t going to change going into Season 13.
Sofia Clarke: Thank you, Steven! I think it’s fair to say that no matter where your loyalties lie when it comes to picking a winner for next weekend’s World Heavyweight Championship match, we have three very worthy competitors to pick from. Impact has seen and done it all. Rex is in the process of building his own Hall of Fame career and a third world championship would look good on his plaque. Noah has proven that he is every bit as great as he says he is, and at Pain for Pride he could truly cement his first world championship reign as one of the best ever.
(Sofia smiles into the camera as the scene fades. It reopens to an undisclosed location inside the Phillips Arena. Noah Reigner is sitting on a piece of equipment and he’s alone. He is dressed in street clothes and has the World Heavyweight Championship across his shoulder. He looks at his title and then into the camera.)
Noah Reigner: I already know what that asshole Impact is going to spend the week saying. It’s the same thing I’ve heard from him before and what I’m sure I’ll hear from him again. I think it’s funny when he accuses people of repeating themselves when he’s hasn’t had an original thought cross his mind in who knows how long. The only thing that makes Impact worth a damn is his ability to make the same exact point ten different ways. Idiots buy into his bullshit because of the way he phrases it, but there’s nothing new or groundbreaking about what he does or how he carries himself. He’s still a bitch, who’s best days are behind him, and I can’t wait to spend the week listening to him talk shit and tell me how I’m nothing.
Noah Reigner: It doesn’t matter what I do inside the ring, I’m always going to have people doubt me. I could have the greatest title reign this company has ever seen but someone will still want to poke fun at it. I’ve accepted that I can’t please everyone, but what I’ll never accept is Impact’s want and need to play Gawd. That stupid piece of paper is the biggest crock of shit I have ever come across and I can’t wait to defeat Impact at Pain for Pride and show him that everything he’s tried to do to fuck this match just doesn’t matter. I’m going to take all of these garbage ass stipulations and shove them back in his face when I have my hand raised at the end of the night.
(Noah smirks.)
Noah Reigner: There is nothing Impact or the third wheel in this match, Rex, can do to hurt me. I have trained in all styles of combat, and I will have an answer for whatever the two of them throw at me. Being a world champion has always been my destiny and I have worked my ass off to get to this point. Believe it or not, no one has ever handed me a fucking thing in this sport and I have earned every single victory, championship, and award. The sooner people accept me as one of the best ever, the easier it’s going to be for them once they step inside the ring with me. If I have said it once this season, I have said it a thousand times. House always wins, and that’s not going to change come Pain for Pride. The moment will never overwhelm me. The nerves won’t be a factor. The only thing I’m going to be feeling is adrenaline. Impact and Rex both think they’re going to win this match and take my championship, but this baby is never leaving my side. Most people think next weekend is going to be the biggest moment of my life, but it’s just another match to me. Whether I’m competing at the grand spectacle, on Voltage, or in some obscure arena while on the road, I’m coming with guns blazing, and shooting to kill.
(Noah stands up and holds his World Heavyweight Championship up in the air. The camera takes a final shot of that before fading to a Pain for Pride preview.)
(Voltage returns and cuts to the ring for the main event of the evening! Bella flashes the camera her beautiful smile.)
Bella Braxton: The following contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first!

Bella Braxton: From Anchorage, Alaska, weighing in at 320 pounds… ADDDAAAMMMM GRAAAAVVESSSSS!!
Rich Russillo: Out of the eight competitors who will compete for the prized possession at Pain For Pride 12, the size and strength of Adam Graves is a concern for the rest of the elitists. His intensity and fortitude is also a concern to his opponents tonight, as everyone who has the opportunity to perform heading into Pain For Pride 12, wants to capture as much momentum they can hold.
( After Graves steps through the ropes and into the ring, “Halo” by Machine Head hits to an unpleasant reception from the crowd. Vic Venom makes his appearance with more confidence than ever, striding the ramp and remaining focused on the upcoming match. )
Bella Braxton: AND HIS OPPONENTS! FIRST! From Oslo, Norway, weighing in at 225 pounds….. VIIIIIIICCCCC VENNNNNNNNNOMMMMMMM!!!!!!
James Peters: Adam Graves may have the element of power in the Cash In The Vault, Vic Venom possesses the element of surprise. Tonight, he has the opportunity to prove no matter what size you are, his patented spinning heel kick he calls “The Legacy” can knock you out cold. When Vic Venom is involved, you constantly need to be informed of your surroundings at all time.
(As Vic Venom continues to calmly sit in the corner with his eyes looking down, “Another One Bites The Dust” by Queen blasts through the speaker, followed by an enormous explosion of boos from the crowd. The Visual Prophet walks through the white smoke, accompanied by Veena Adams and Nina.)
Bella Braxton: From Detroit, Michigan, weighing in at 230 pounds… ACCOMPANIED BY VEENA ADAMS AND NINA….. THE VISUALLLL PROPHET!!!
James Peters: Well Veena seems to have recovered from earlier…

Everywhere the Sovereign goes, he towers over his inferiors. Using the briefcase and cashing it in to become the face of EAW is what he needs to further validate his dominance.

Rich Russillo: This triple threat has officially begun as both men are at their respective corners. Vic Venom has yet to lose focus, The Visual Prophet is still taking his entrance attire off, and Adam Graves is beginning to appear irritated. Bella Braxton: Here is your winner! THE VISUAL PROPHET!
James Peters: If a normal being was to undergo what The Visual Prophet had to endure tonight, he would be shred apart in pieces. However, we already know that The Visual Prophet isn’t just a normal human being. He survived the destructive Adam Graves and Vic Venom because he was more physically and mentally prepared. He was the better man because he has all the tools of success.
Rich Russillo: There is no doubt about that, The Visual Prophet showcased what all competitors will need in the Cash In The Vault match: the will to survive and win. The Visual Prophet lasted a long grueling match with a mind-blowing performance. His showcase of resilience and heart will surely present him with a lot of momentum when we begin with Pain For Pride 12!
(The camera takes a final shot of Veena, Nina, and Viz in the ring. Viz is sitting up, smile across his handsome face, while Veena whispers in his ear. After a moment, the two women help Viz to his feet and the trio celebrate inside the ring as Voltage fades to black.)
