(EAW intro plays.)
(A recap is shown of the Grand Rampage Marquee Event last week on the Voltage side of things: Adam Lucas and Dr. Bethany Blue defeat the team of Solomon Stane and Caroline. Harper Lee defeats Hikari Kanno. Jamie O’Hara defeats Joso. NICHOLISM defeat British Invasion with the help of The Jaded Hearts. KASAI defeats Bea Valentine to become the new Specialists Champion. Roberto De La Rosa retains his Hardcore Championship against Valerie Hellstorm. Minerva retains her Universal Women’s Championship against Holly Arrow. Charlie Marr retains his EAW World Championship against Rex McAllister. And in the main event, Dynasty’s Jake Smith wins the Grand Rampage match as it’s the last shot seen before the show ends and the recap ends.)
(The camera then goes to a shot of the Vivint Arena in Salt Lake City, Utah, as pyro is nseen erupting out of the stage and the crowd is going crazy tonight for another jampacked show. It then goes over to the broadcasting booth where Rich Russillo, James Peters, and Persephone are seen standing by.)
Persephone: We are hot off the heels of Grand Rampage heading to Fighting Spirit and Pain For Pride, welcoming you to another episode of… Sunday Night Voltage.
Rich Russillo: You did a good job.
Persephone: Shut up.
James Peters: And what a show we have for you tonight! Mia Santoro faces Michael S. Connor. Bea Valentine faces AJ Redding. One-half of the Unified Tag Team Champions Ruler faces Akari Kiyoko. Hikari Kanno faces Valerie Hellstorm. Holly Arrow faces Donovan Duke. And in the main event, Luis De La Rosa faces Cornelius. Let’s get right to it!
(Sunday Night Voltage then transitions over from the broadcast booth to the ring, where Bella Braxton is seen standing by with a smile on her face and a microphone in her hand as she, from there, begins to speak.)
Bella Braxton: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome… EAW HALL OF FAMER!!!!!!!!!!! DRRRAAKKKKEEEEEEEEEEEE KIIIINNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(‘When Darkness Falls’ by Killswitch Engage begins to blast through the speakers of the arena to cheers that erupt throughout the Crypto.com Arena as the camera goes over to Drake King who is seen making his way out to the stage. He has a smile on his face as he looks around at the hyped-up atmosphere here tonight, as he takes a moment to bask in it, spreading his arms out before making his way down the ramp and toward the ring.)
Rich Russillo: Well I think it’s needless to say that we expected this to happen at some point. To catch you up to speed, last week after the Grand Rampage Marquee Event, Fight Grid released footage of Gary Daniels having an uncharacteristic breakdown which was caught on film and caught by Voltage Commissioner Captain Charisma. Showing his true colors that night, it seems pretty on brand that we’re here with the “return” of Drake King, as advertised.
James Peters: And it’s as though nothing happened with him, which is certainly an interesting perspective to take, and also not the first time, but I digress. Right now the three-time World Champion is making his way out to the ring and it seems like he has a lot on his mind for the bustling crowd here in Los Angeles.
Persephone: Lord, bring back Gary Daniels. He was annoying, but at least he wasn’t Drake King.
(Drake makes his way up the steel steps and into the ring, as he heads over and takes a microphone from the ringside area. ‘When Darkness Falls’ begins to come to a close as Drake heads over toward the center of the ring. He allows the crowd to continue to get their reaction in with a smile on his face before he raises his microphone up to his mouth.)
Drake King: Sunday Night Voltage… I AM BACK!
(The crowd is VERY receptive toward Drake King, but perhaps not for the reason that he would like them to…)
Crowd: GARY! GARY! GARY! GARY!
(The name of Drake’s former persona rings through the arena. Even though it was a blatant excuse to escape Shock Value with his pride intact, the EAW Universe had seemingly grown a liking to Gary Daniels during the time that he was here. Perhaps because it was a change of pace, and something different from the Drake King that they all once knew. But Drake, on the otherhand, doesn’t seem to show any pity for the loss, in fact, it’s as if Gary Daniels was never here in the first place. He gives a devilish smile from ear to ear as he speaks.)
Drake King: While I appreciate the loud reaction, I’m afraid that’s not my name. You’ve known me long enough to not make such a mistake, but perhaps because of my leave of absence, it’s been forgotten. Absolutely fine! We can rectify that.
(The crowd murmurs at this, and it’s clear that Drake is acting as though he was on break for the time that he was under a different identity.)
Drake King: To catch you up to speed, the last time you saw me was on the Voltage exclusive Marquee Event Shock Value, where I faced Jamie O’Hara in an Electrified Iron Man match. It was tough, and I’ll give Jamie credit because we all know that he has earned his role as a Hall of Famer but in the end… I had come out victorious. When it mattered most, even with the match going into a 10-minute overtime, I had come out victorious. I had taken that electrified barbed wire, wrapped it around my leg, and caved his head right into the canvas to get the 2-1 win over him!
(Drake smiles as he thinks back on such a monumental moment in his career… even though it never happened. The crowd can’t seem to respond to this, mostly because they don’t know what’s happening right now. The mind of Drake King has proven to be an enigma, especially considering this isn’t the first time he’s taken a “break” off of a big loss. So it’s quite fitting of him to make up such a scenario in his head to sweep such a defeat against Jamie O’Hara at Shock Value under the rug.)
Drake King: It’s something that I am very proud of and will remember for the rest of my career. Now, I’ve had many Hall of Fame moments, which is what makes me a Hall of Famer in the first place, but this is certainly up there as one of the best. But that doesn’t mean I walked out unscathed, no, I mentioned Jamie being a stellar opponent and that was the case. I had taken that break not out of my own merit, but because I didn’t have a choice thanks to the injuries that I had sustained from that match. But above all, I looked at them as the scars of a winner, and I knew that I had fought hard to get them and they were proof of my momentous successes in this company. It hurt very much to miss Grand Rampage and everything involved, especially with what happened the previous year, I would’ve loved to enter the Grand Rampage match itself and try my hand at winning it again, although… seeing who actually won it may not prove very difficult for me, considering Jake Smith has never been able to beat me in his career. But that’s all hypotheticals, and I know the only thing that we can do going forward is look toward the future, and I know what my future could end up being. I’ve had my doubts on this for a little while, but beating Jamie only reassured me of what I knew for certain, and that is that I’m ready to be at the top of the ladder here on Sunday Night Voltage. I’m ready to take my spot back as the very best, and the only way I can do that is by winning the EAW World Championship. The only way I can do that is by taking back the title that I never should’ve lost in the first place, but here we are, and it’s never too late to reprimand that. I think it’s only right that I finally get my well-deserved rematch against Charlie Marr.
(Why feel you deserve a World Championship based on a scenario that never happened? Who knows.)
Drake King: I have earned it, and all of you know that I will CONTINUE to earn it with the work that I put in here on Sunday Night Voltage. Now that Jamie has been dealt with, I think Captain Charisma knows what to do. I think it’s time that he finally does what’s right for once in his career as Voltage Commissioner and give me the opportunity to take back my title. Pain For Pride is coming up and as time winds down so is the opportunity to continue my main event streak on the card. I have not missed a main event since 2020, and that is not going to change because of an oversight by Captain Charisma, he knows better than that.
(Drake has a deadly serious expression on his face, almost like he means everything that he says… for the most part because he does. Ultimately, his prayers are heard as ‘Self Help Tape’ by Moses Sumney begins to blast through the speakers of the arena. The camera goes over to show Captain Charisma who makes his way out to the stage, visibly unhappy, and almost reluctant to even make himself known to Drake given the circumstances. He’s seen this story before, and he didn’t like the ending, and now he’s here tonight looking to relive the tale as he makes his way down the ramp and toward the ring.)
Persephone: Drake King may be the greatest loser I’ve ever seen.
Rich Russillo: Well it’s a strategy that seems to be working, Seph, because here comes the Voltage Commissioner making his way out to the ring. Ultimately, he was the one who had to handle Drake when he was Gary Daniels, pretending to be completely new to Elite Answers Wrestling. I’m sure that was a frustration and a half, and now it seems to be right back at square one with Drake King now having come back to his brand.
James Peters: But the question is will Drake get what he wants? We know how the EAW World Championship picture has played out this past month and it has played out without Drake King, and I don’t think he can just come in and inject himself into it because he feels like he “deserves” it. But then again, he’s Drake King, and despite his attitude and his emotions, you can’t deny that he is who he is for a reason.
Rich Russillo: Well, enough speculation, let’s hear what he has to say.
(Captain Charisma makes his way up the steel steps and onto the apron, slowly entering into the ring as he eyes Drake who is seen crossing his arms with a smile on his face. He shakes his head as he makes his way over and takes a microphone from the ringside area while ‘Self Help Tape’ begins to come to a close. He looks at Drake, who is expecting an immediate reply from him, and the only thing he can do is smirk.)
Captain Charisma: “Welcome back”, Drake.
(Captain Charisma chuckles at this, and Drake knows why, with the Commissioner having a front-row seat to the embarrassing breakdown by “Gary Daniels” after Grand Rampage. Drake doesn’t want to admit it, but Captain Charisma caught him right in the act, and that’s something that’s shown on his face as he shakes his head. Before long, the Commissioner continues along with what he has to say.)
Captain Charisma: If you expect me to come out here and give you what you want after the trouble you’ve put me through as of late, then you thought wrong. Drake King or not this brand has operated perfectly well, and I’m not going to ruin a good thing just because you feel you “deserve” something off the guise that you “won” at Shock Value, which you didn’t.
Drake King: Oh, Captain Charisma, you must mistake me for a fool, right? Do you think that I’m just going to sit here and feed into your lie that I “lost” at Shock Value? I mean, you can rewind the tape if you want, but I beat Jamie fair and square in that match. The last thing that I’m going to do is sit here and listen to someone say that I didn’t and completely discredit my win!
(You in fact cannot rewind the tape to see Drake King win.)
Captain Charisma: And I’m not going to sit here and go through this same song and dance with you. It’s always the same thing, you and your delusional acts, do you think that this is really going to get you anywhere? Be completely upfront and honest with me, because I don’t think you even know what you’re doing anymore.
Drake King: Look, between the two of us, I’m just saying, the only person that’s being delusional right now is you. Perhaps that’s why we’ve never been able to see eye-to-eye, because you don’t want to admit to yourself that I’m right. You don’t want to see my perspective on it because it feels wrong, tell me when I’m telling lies. I’m not going to try and argue with you on this, I want my EAW World Championship opportunity and I want it now.
Captain Charisma: You’re right about one thing, that there’s no point in arguing about this. So how about you shut up, sit in the back, and try not to cause trouble while I tell you what I’m going to do about this?
(For the first time in this confrontation, Drake falls silent. He’s obviously pretty annoyed about this, but then again, so is Captain Charisma. Drake takes a couple steps back toward one of the corners as he listens intently to what Captain Charisma has to say.)
Captain Charisma: I’m not here to give you any sort of immediate answer, but what I will tell you is that you might be interested in what Eden Sinclair is going to announce later tonight when she makes her return to Sunday Night Voltage. So it’d be in your best interest right now to stop begging and instead just wait and see what she has to say.
(Captain Charisma lowers his microphone down to the ground, expecting a response from Drake, but the only thing that the EAW Hall of Famer does is process this in his mind for a moment before reluctantly agreeing to it. The Commissioner then turns around and makes his way out of the ring while ‘Self Help Tape’ begins to kick back in.)
Rich Russillo: Well we did hear that Eden Sinclair was making her return tonight to Voltage, and perhaps if this is something that Drake King should tune into, then this is definitely something of importance to note.
James Peters: Drake is looking to not only get his World Championship back but get into the main event of Pain For Pride, could all of this be a solution to his problems? Well, that happens to be anyone’s guess. Right now though this show rolls on!
Persephone: As long as we’re away from this idiot, I don’t care what happens next.
(The last shot seen is Drake staring at Captain Charisma from inside of the ring with a bitter expression while Sunday Night Voltage, from there, begins to fade out to elsewhere.)
(Voltage would switch to the backstage area, as we see Sofia Clarke. She had a microphone in her hand as she patiently awaited.)
Sofia Clarke: Ladies and gentlemen, please join me at this time to welcome.. Dr. Bethany Blue!
(Bethany appeared on the screen, her glaring bandages and bruises alike were apparent from the match she had at Grand Rampage. She stepped onto the scene and had a less than impressed look on her face.)
Dr. Bethany Blue: Hello, Sofia.
Sofia Clarke: So Bethany, how do you feel after your victory at Grand Rampage against Caroline and Solomon? It was definitely a trial, but you managed to make it through it and prevail as the victor in the end alongside Adam Lucas!
Dr. Bethany Blue: I know that with what happened on Grand Rampage, you probably are anticipating me to give a real speech. One that has heart behind it, one that truly talks about how hard it was for me to get where I am right now… I am not an ungrateful woman, I promise that. I am grateful for all opportunities, but I call it as I see it. And the way I see it… I wish that I could say that was one hell of a win. I wish that I could say that I feel fulfilled off the back of that win. I wish that I could say so many things about that match entirely. But there’s only so much I can say. I am pissed off. Those two freaks pissed me off. Everything that pertained to Grand Rampage, PISSED me off. Being crucified, having to watch Adam suffer how he did, all that has happened… I am not happy with the circumstances of being burnt. I am not happy with the lengths that I had to go through! In its entirety, I just.. am not satisfied with how things have been as of late. Perhaps I’m losing my fucking mind after all, but I know that I feel vindicated in what I believe in. I just feel like there were moments of reprieve I should’ve taken… Not in that match specifically, but in greater facets regardless.
Sofia Clarke: Do you feel like it took a lot out of you in order to secure that victory? And what specifically are the places that you can see yourself improving in, seeing you are a woman who has done it all.
Dr. Bethany Blue: It took too much out of me. And I am not happy with that, because a long while ago, I was able to win matches like that with precision and the necessary clarity. I didn’t get my face burnt. And I really should be back at THAT establishment once more. I haven’t been happy at all with how this season has gone for me, it’s been underwhelming and I really have found myself on the outside looking in so many times. Unable to enjoy the fruits of my strenuous labor around me. And that is a feeling I am so sick of having. Because you don’t truly realize how long it drags on. You don’t really realize how fast that clock is ticking, and when you take it week by week, you think it’s going to be okay, and here we are… Pain For Pride is almost here. I thought time would manage itself just well enough as we moved closer, but in the blink of an eye, we went from June to April. Time is shifting, and the life that I lead should’ve placed me in a better position. Every year there’s the Elitists that seek to look for their opportunities, and for some it may not come. But for others? It’s a practical guarantee. A year ago, I could probably guarantee my spot at Pain For Pride!! Now…? Well, lots of uncertainty. And I hate facing moments such as this with uncertainty, especially after all I have accomplished in EAW…
(Bethany looked frustrated to even utter the words Pain For Pride upon that point.)
Sofia Clarke: I mean, it seems like you would be a guarantee at Pain For Pride, with the legacy you’ve already left behind… but, definitely feeling some tension as Pain For Pride draws closer?
Dr. Bethany Blue: I wish I could say it was just “tension”. But that’d be easy, because I am feeling way more than tension, it’s the most uncomfortable feeling that I can’t entirely express. But I look at where I was last year, there wasn’t a single doubt or worry built into my brain about Pain For Pride. I had no concern because everything aligned perfectly. But it seems as if the last Pain For Pride set me on the path of having too many demons, because I haven’t been able to exorcize any of them this season. Things just haven’t been going my way without a clear path, and that is due in part to these detours like Caroline and Solomon. And it goes back to Road To Redemption as well. I have been locked out of the actual Pain For Pride shaping matches, because I’ve been too busy dealing with other stuff that does me no favors and doesn’t move me forward. Even, and I can’t believe I am saying this, Adam… Has been just in a way, a little incompetent.
Sofia Clarke: :lupe:
(Sofia listened in as Dr. Bethany Blue did her best to truly take full accountability, even bringing the name of Adam into this.)
Dr. Bethany Blue: He in a way has been incompetent, and something doesn’t feel complete here, but at the end of the day, he managed to get the win. So I can’t truly entirely knock him for that. But still, that doesn’t change the fact that things aren’t any better. I still am not happy with the entire ordeal, and wish I could really see the other side of things, because it would make it so much better. And when I glance ahead at Fighting Spirit, I look at how he’ll be fighting for the opportunity to go to Pain For Pride, and become Answers World Champion. It’s all looking up on that end, but I want to add, since Captain Charisma continues to time and time again deny me, and not give me what I have been asking for, look at how well the Charlie and Rex match went for Rex, huh? Went very well, didn’t it? Perfect even, Rex McAllister did what everyone wanted him to do!
Sofia Clarke: Well, you could put it that way. But not entirely.. He still isn’t the champion.
Dr. Bethany Blue: Yeah, that was sarcasm. But we saw how that match went, and it’s really irritating that this is how things have been for Bethany Blue lately! Watch someone else destroy the opportunity that I would have closed in on!
(Bethany let out a deep sigh, before collecting herself. She then spoke once more.)
Dr. Bethany Blue: It just seems as if nothing is working out for me anymore. And I hate to sound like a broken record, but there really has been some curse put on me since last Pain For Pride. It comes in spurts, and from time to time it’s a nice feeling. But none of it has really been… sustainable. All of it, one way or another has ended with a less than stellar result. And it’s led me here, time is catching up on me too quickly, and we’re practically almost finished with everything. Grand Rampage came and went, and that was another lost opportunity for me to expand my horizon. Maybe I am just too harsh on myself, but this should truly showcase who I am in this establishment. YOU MAY HAVE BURNED ME, BUT YOU DIDN’T KILL ME! And that was a big mistake. Because now I’m even more angry. I’m even more annoyed. I am very fucking frustrated. I had a victory at Grand Rampage, but I am not satisfied, because it simply doesn’t allow me to snap my fingers and make everything else better!!
Sofia Clarke: I do think that you are being a little too harsh on yourself. You did win at Grand Rampage, and say what you wanna say, but that win can set you in the right direction..
Dr. Bethany Blue: A win is a win, you can surely say that. There are many things going behind wins though in EAW. You can say “Is it really a loss?” when it took outside interference, a prayer, and a miracle to stop me! But you can say the same thing about a victory. It doesn’t fulfill me. So see, Sofia? There’s a difference in wins. I have won matches and felt like the most complete person in the entire arena. And I have won matches and felt nothing. I don’t really see this as a step in the right direction, because it hasn’t woken anyone up, or opened an eye. It seems as if things aren’t going to go my way, the least I can do is focus and make sure Adam Lucas makes his way to Pain For Pride! NOTHING ELSE seems to be going my way, and I feel this vacuous void within me, but if nothing else??? Despite being over and done with all of this, I can guarantee Adam Lucas as Answers World Champion once more…
Sofia Clarke: :lupe:
(With that said, Bethany would walk off. The feeling in the air was not too optimistic of her own path, yet vindication in the promise made. The scene faded into a commercial break.)
(Commercial for Marvel’s “Deadpool & Wolverine”, coming soon.)
(The camera cuts to Bella Braxton in the ring.)
Bella Braxton: The following contest is scheduled for one fall!
Crowd: ONE FALL!!!
(‘21ST CENTURY BITCH’ by Holy Wars can already be heard throughout the arena to a rowdy reaction from the audience, as Mia Santoro makes her way out to the ramp, although in her visible lonesome as she tries to maintain focus on the match at hand. Sporting a confident expression nonetheless, Mia proceeds to walk down the ramp with her eyes looking outward to the crowd, with a nod as she then sets her eyes back on the ring.)
Bella Braxton: Introducing first! From Key West, Florida, weighing in at 115 pounds… MIAAAA SANTORO!!!
Persephone: I wish I could feel bad for her but… oh who am I kidding??? 😹😹😹😹😹
James Peters: Grand Rampage surely was not the event for #DOMIA, this much is for certain. Santoro wanted to shine, and to have Donovan eliminate her may have not been the resulting elimination that she wanted. Regardless, Santoro is here tonight to mount momentum as we are moving closer and closer to Pain for Pride.
Rich Russillo: It was every elitist for themselves. What happened may have not been the ideal route for her elimination to go, but at the end of the day Grand Rampage is the event you need to throw connections out of the window to succeed. Now, Mia Santoro has the opportunity to look past Grand Rampage, and look ahead to making herself a continuously sought after name in this roster…
(‘Won’t Back Down’ by Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers can be heard throughout the speakers as Michael Scott Connor receives a strong reaction from the crowd, with Michael looking outward to the crowd & having a look of confidence etched on his face. He proceeds to walk down the ramp, looking ahead to the ring as he remains focused as well.)
Bella Braxton: And her opponent! From London, Ohio, weighing in at 210 pounds…. LT. COLONEL, MICHAEL SCOTT CONNORRRRRRR!!!
James Peters: Michael Scott Connor has made himself quite the mainstay talent in this roster, and with good reason. Always working diligently as he has shifted into quite the tenured figure in this sport, this is a great opportunity for Michael to usher in momentum of his own against Mia Santoro.
Rich Russillo: Grand Rampage didn’t turn out all too well for the Lieutenant Colonel as well, and that’s exactly why tonight can be a great precursor for what’s next for the winner tonight. I know Mia is looking for this win here, but Michael’s perhaps just as set on assuring that he’s walking out of here with a win!
Persephone: We’re gonna be here for a bit, huh. :francis:
(DING! DING! DING!)
James Peters: And we’re off! Mia Santoro takes on the Lieutenant Colonel right here on Voltage! I’m certain that both elitists would like to mount as much momentum that they possibly can as they head into Pain for Pride, many are vying for a suitable spot at the event & there’s no doubt that this same event can be the most important night of both of their careers. Of course, this cannot be understated any further as we are very well aware of how Mia Santoro’s Grand Rampage transpired.
Rich Russillo: Can’t understate a thing! Santoro was eliminated by the man that SHOULD be the love of his life; and while I’m sure plenty of the #DOMIA fandom have strong words for what went down on Grand Rampage, this is still the competitive, cutthroat business that it has always been. None of us can blame Donovan for doing what he did, and I know deep down, Mia also understands that! Santoro & Connor begin to circle the ring as they are perhaps looking for an even start ahead. They have arms raised before themselves as they soon maneuver directly into the collar-and-elbow tie-up! Mia’s trying to overpower Michael here as much as he can, but the Lieutenant Colonel seems to have other plans as his strength is beginning to oppose itself accordingly here, able to push Santoro back into the ropes behind herself! The referee is now motioning to count, but Michael doesn’t waste much time letting go of the tie-up & keeping his hands raised as he’s able to back away…
Persephone: Wow, collar and elbow. Woohoo, sportsmanship!!
James Peters: Michael has always been willing to remain cordial in matches such as this, Mia Santoro has been a great performer since her arrival to EAW and I’m certain that Connor can see that much within her. However, this is no time to allow much leeway when we are in the thick of Pain for Pride season. Now Mia is able to step away from the ropes as the two elitists begin circling the ring once more! They move in for a second collar and elbow—NOPE! Mia quickly turns herself right around Connor and she has his waist clutched tightly, a waist lock that can slow down Michael considerably here & halt any chance of momentum he could garner!
Rich Russillo: Which would be the goal here, as Michael’s got the advantage from a stance of physicality, but Santoro is lighter on her feet and has quite the unpredictable nature to her in-ring prowess! But this waist lock isn’t gonna be substantially efficient for much longer, as Michael’s able to slowly pry Mia’s hands apart with as much of his strength as possible… before he’s able to turn right around and wrap an arm around her neck for the HEADLOCK TAKEDOWN! Now Mia’s being suppressed as Michael’s trying to employ as much of this headlock as possible while Santoro is down! This can weaken Mia considerably if she is unable to escape from this hold sooner rather than later!
James Peters: Thankfully, Mia Santoro is far more equipped in using this agility to her advantage! She uses all of her body weight to shift her own body around and with a hold of the Lieutenant Colonel’s leg, she shifts Michael Scott directly into a sudden roll-up here!!! The referee immediately slides directly into the count as Michael’s squirming around looking to free himself!!!
ONEEE!!!
TWOOOO!!!
Rich Russillo: NOPE! NOT THERE! Michael kicks out of the roll up as he’s rolling backward & back onto his own two feet! Santoro’s quickly moved up to her feet as well, and Michael’s trying to revert back toward Mia in an attempt to dish out offense his own—BUT HERE’S MIA AIMING FOR A CUTTER TO PUT MICHAEL SCOTT CONNOR DOWN!!
James Peters: MICHAEL STOPS HIMSELF FROM COLLAPSING ONTO THE MAT BY SHOVING MIA OFF BEFORE SHE COULD HOOK THE ARM AROUND HIS HEAD!! Santoro went for a powerful maneuver right then & there and it didn’t pay off in the manner she would’ve hoped for. Santoro turns herself right back around and looks for a statement to be made here! She makes the attempt for a swift SUPERKICK ACROSS THE JA—
Rich Russillo: MICHAEL DUCKS THE SUPERKICK AND QUICKLY ROLLS MIA INTO A SUDDEN PINFALL!! THE ROLL UP ON SANTORO THIS TIME AROUND AS THE REFEREE RUSHES BELOW TO MAKE THE COUNT!!!
ONEEEE!!!!!
TWOOOOO!!!!
Persephone: Seriously, stop lying to yourselves. These don’t work for shit ‘till later!!! And even then it’s about as rare as seeing Luis be anything less than the man that he is!
James Peters: You’d think we’d be seeing a lot more of these roll-ups then but I digress, Santoro is able to kick out of the roll-up as Michael’s not wasting an ounce of us own time by transitioning the pin into standing on his own two feet with his arms around Mia’s waist, as he’s DEADLIFTING SANTORO OFF THE MAT with a brief showcase of his at strength!! Michael’s presenting quite the threat here if he’s been keeping this energy residing him to have his spot at Pain for Pride as well!!
Rich Russillo: AND HE’S GONNA NAIL THE DEADLIFT GERMAN—BUT MIA SQUIRMS FREE AS SHE JUST AS QUICKLY CONNECTS WITH AN ARM DRAG! The arm drag sends Michael Scott reels right toward the ropes, now running back with this moment that he’s been given here… MET WITH A SWIFT CHOP FROM MIA!! Now Connor is TRULY being placed among the wolves tonight as are various other elitists. ANOTHER CHOP FOLLOWS from Mia, and she’s looking for another—
James Peters: MICHAEL SWIFTLY TURNS THE FIRE AGAINST MIA! CHOP AFTER CHOP, HE’S ENSURING THAT THERE IS NO WIGGLE HIM AS HE’S ON THE PURSUIT FOR THIS OFFENSE! He’s able to back Santoro into the ropes after one more swift chop allows her to rebound back from the ropes! Michael Scott tries to swing—BUT SANTORO DUCKS THE SWING AND RUSHES RIGHT BACK TOWARD SCOTT… WITH A STEP-UP ENZIGURI!!! THE ENZIGURI SENDS CONNOR CRASHING BACK DOWN INTO THE CORNER!
Rich Russillo: Wow!! Swift thinking from the gambler here as this maneuver is able to pay off successfully!!! Now Michael is sent stumbling over onto the middle ropes here, and he’s motionless as well! There’s more of an opportunity for Mia here to make a proper example out of Michael Scott Connor just to find her way. Santoro sees that Michael is draped over the ropes… NOT WASTING TIME WITH THE DOUBLE KNEES PRESSED AGAINST THE BACK OF THE LIEUTENANT COLONEL!!! Santoro made the notion to run and he did exactly that right there as Connor’s feeling the pain from that maneuver!!!
James Peters: Despite the double knees, Mia still decides that taking further flight would be the best course of action here! The resilience is building within the Lieutenant Colonel, he may be not be able to be toppled if he’s able to keep this much of a defensive position for himself, as now Mia’s making the ascent to the top turnbuckle with Connor groggily moving upward… SANTORO IS LOOKING TO LEAP RIGHT OFF THE TOP WITH A DIVING METEORA FOR GOOD MEASURE!!!
Persephone: Which doesn’t connect! Michael sidestepped the meteora at just the nick of time before quickly moving back over Mia with his hands interlocked around her waist… ABLE TO LIFT MIA UPWARD DIRECTLY INTO A DEADLIFT GERMAN SUPLEX!!! Jesus, the lengths I go to entertain.
Rich Russillo: AND YOU WOULD BE CORRECT! THE GERMAN SUPLEX CAUSES SANTORO TO LAND ON THE BACK OF HER OWN NECK! Connor hooks the leg as the referee rushes back down to the mat for the count of three!!!
ONEEEEEE!!!!
TWOOOOOOOO!!!!
TH—
James Peters: NOTHING THERE! Kick out from Santoro!!! Now the Lieutenant seems to be eager to garner this victory under his own respective belt, and he seems to have a good idea of what it will take to achieve this maintenance in momentum! Michael Scott’s able to hoist Santoro from off the mat, keeping her in a proper stance before pursuing further punishment now, AS SHE’S HOISTING HER UPWARD FOR A VERTICAL SUPLEX—
Rich Russillo: NO!!! MIA SQUIRMS FREE AND LANDS RIGHT BEHIND CONNOR—CATCHING HIM OFF GUARD WITH A SUDDEN CUTTER TO PUT THE LIEUTENANT COLONEL DOWN BEFORE HE COULD EVEN BLINK!!! The cutter is a glimmering success for Santoro, and now she has a great opportunity of her own here to keep Michael Scott down for the count! She makes her ascent back up to the top turnbuckle, all while Michael is slowly but surely able to bring himself back up to his feet with a grip of the ropes! Connor has been able to weather this storm so far, but now he’s groggily making the turn and facing Mia Santoro…
James Peters: AS SANTORO’S ABLE TO LEAP OFF THE TOP AND RIGHT ONTO MICHAEL SUCCESSFULLY WITH THE DIVING METEORA!!! Santoro hooks the leg as the referee is able to slide right into the pin attempt here!!!
ONEEEEEE!!!!
TWOOOOOOOO!!!!
TH—
Rich Russillo: KICKOUT! Mia’s gonna need to put in a lot more punishment if she wants to put away the Lieutenant Colonel successfully! Now she’s bringing herself over Michael, laying in the rights to keep him suppressed for long enough before reverting back to moving herself back up to the top turnbuckle! Santoro’s surely looking for an incredible maneuver here that can put away Michael as she’s got him lined up here!!! SHE’S READY TO TAKE FLIGHT WITH ‘EYE IN THE—
James Peters: MICHAEL QUICKLY RUNS TO THE ROPES AND SHOVES THEM! CAUSING SANTORO TO DROP BACK DOWN ONTO THE TURNBUCKLE!! That wasn’t the best landing in the world for Mia as she’s not situated over the top turnbuckle, and Michael’s walking back over, sending a clobbering left that keeps Mia at bay! Now Michael’s bringing himself up to the second turnbuckle, and sends another right just to ensure there’s no fighting back from Santoro’s end! Michael’s situating himself in quite the vicarious spot for Mia, and he’s got her right where she’s needed… AS MICHAEL HOISTS SANTORO UPWARD!!!
Rich Russillo: AN EMPHATIC SUPERPLEX!!! SANTORO’S DOWN AS MICHAEL TRIES TO RUSH OVER TO MIA, HOOKING THE LEG FOR THE PIN TO BE MADE!!
ONEEEEEE!!!!
TWOOOOOOOO!!!!
TH—
Persephone: Kick out! I’d really appreciate it if they tried a little harder at losing instead, thanks!
James Peters: What a maneuver from the Lieutenant Colonel, but it’s not enough to put away Mia Santoro! Now Michael needs to find another way of making sure he can gain this victory, and I see that the ideas are sprawling through her head while taking himself to a more proper self with assistance of the middle rope! Michael sees that Mia is also able to get herself up to vertical stance, although she’s increasingly groggy after the superplex that just put her down onto the canvas with authority! Michael quickly positions himself over to Mia and turns her around, nailing a swift kick right to the midsection!! Followed by hooking her arms AS HE’S LOOKING FOR ‘TAPS’—
Rich Russillo: MIA SQUIRMS FREE & SWIFTLY TURNS HERSELF RIGHT AROUND TO CONNOR’S BACK—AS SHE FOLLOWS UP WITH A SAITO SUPLEX OF IMMENSE MEASURE!!! The saito suplex is able to put Michael Scott down as he’s sent right onto the mat with a rather desperate maneuver! Mia had to use all of her strength to will herself into making the Saito Suplex there possible! Michael’s able to crawl, but he hasn’t been able to push himself toward moving back up to his feet as he’s still feeling the effects of the Saito that surely changed the trajectory of this match!!!
James Peters: And Mia isn’t wasting much time either! She’s quickly crawling over to Michael, positioning herself behind him as she’s sending repeated elbows right over her shoulder!! Elbow after elbow, they follow in unison to keep the Lieutenant Colonel from having the opportunity of a shift in momentum! With Michael unable to relent back… AS SHE’S GOT MICHAEL IN THE ‘HELLBENT’ TRIANGLE CHOKE!! MICHAEL’S NOW SQUIRMING AROUND, LOOKING FOR ANY WAY OUT OF THIS SUBMISSION, BUT SANTORO’S GOT MICHAEL IN A VERY BAD SPOT HERE! HE COULD SURELY TAP OUT OR PASS OUT AT ANY GIVEN MOMENT!!
Persephone: That would be ideal!!!! End this!!!!! Save us the trouble please!
Rich Russillo: MICHAEL’S DOING EVERYTHING THAT HE POSSIBLY CAN TO GET HIMSELF OUT OF THIS SUBMISSION! BUT MIA SANTORO HAS THE TRIANGLE CHOKE LOCKED IN WITHOUT ANY SIGNIFICANT MOVEMENT THAT MICHAEL COULD POSSIBLY MAKE!! SANTORO’S INCHING CLOSER AND CLOSER TO VICTORY HERE, THERE ARE NO ROPES FOR SCOTT CONNOR TO REACH AS HE MAY HAVE TO TAP OUT RIGHT HERE—
James Peters: MICHAEL WITH ALL OF THE ENERGY RESERVED DEEP DOWN TURNS THE TRIANGLE CHOKE INTO A SIMULTANEOUS PINFALL!!! MIA’S SHOULDERS ARE DOWN!!!!
ONEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!
TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE—
Rich Russillo: KICKOUT!! MICHAEL’S GRASPING ONTO HIS OWN NECK AS HE WAS LOCKED INTO THE ‘HELLBENT’ SUBMISSION FOR QUITE SOME TIME, BUT NOW HE HAS ROOM TO RECOUP AND ASSURE HIMSELF ANY LEVITY THAT HE CAN IN THIS SITUATION! MICHAEL RETURNS TO HIS FEET AND FOCUSES BACK ON SANTORO—
James Peters: SUPERKICK!!! MIA WITH A SUPERKICK RIGHT ACROSS THE JAW OF THE LIEUTENANT COLONEL!!! MICHAEL DROPS BACK DOWN FLAT ON HIS OWN BACK, AND NOW SANTORO IS MOVING HERSELF BACK UP TO THE TOP TURNBUCKLE!! MICHAEL REMAINS MOTIONLESS, AND SANTORO DOESN’T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT ANY FURTHER SETBACK POSSIBLE HERE!!!! SHE LEAPS OFF—
Rich Russillo: AND IS SUCCESSFUL!! ‘EYE IN THE SKY’ SHOOTING STAR PRESS CONNECTS!!! SANTORO HOOKS THE LEG FOR THE REFEREE TO COUNT!!!
ONEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!
TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE—
Persephone: Jesus Christ it’s never ending. How many more of these kick outs must I see… :mjcry:
James Peters: ANOTHER KICKOUT IS CORRECT! MICHAEL STAYS IN THIS AS SANTORO NEEDS TO REMAIN ON THE ATTACK!!! SHE DECIDES TO TAKE HERSELF BACK UP TO THE TOP, AND QUICKLY WORKING TOWARD THIS AS WELL!! SHE WANTS TO PUT MICHAEL AWAY FOR GOOD AS SHE’S GOT HERSELF LINED UP FOR A BIG MOMENT HERE! AND HERE WE GO… ‘CHASE THE FEELING’!!!!!
Rich Russillo: NO ONE HOME!!! MICHAEL MOVED OUT OF THE WAY & SANTORO LANDED DOWN ONTO THE MAT, HER TAILBONE FELT ALL OF THAT AS SHE’S TRYING TO MOVE HERSELF BACK UP TO HER FEET!! NOT A GOOD SPOT HERE—
James Peters: ‘DD214’!!!! THE DRAGON SLEEPER!!!! MICHAEL SCOTT CONNOR’S GOT THE DRAGON SLEEPER APPLIED IN THIS STANCE AS MIA’S TRYING TO KEEP HERSELF STOOD UP!!! THE DRAGON SLEEPER IS LOCKED IN AS THE LIEUTENANT COLONEL IS REFUSING TO LET GO!!! THIS CAN END POORLY FOR SANTORO AND THERE’S GREAT LIKELIHOOD IN THIS BEING THE CASE!!!
Rich Russillo: MIA WITH A DESPERATE OVERHEAD KICK RIGHT OVER MICHAEL’S SKULL TO FORCE HIM TO LET GO! NOW SANTORO HAS BEEN ABLE TO FREE HIMSELF AS MICHAEL SCOTT IS DAZED AFTER THE KICK!! NOW SANTORO IS KEEPING A HOLD OF MICHAEL, SHE’S AIMING FOR A MANEUVER THAT’LL NEED ALL OF HER STRENGTH HERE!!!! MIA WANTS ‘SAFE PASSA—
James Peters: THE LIEUTENANT COLONEL SWIFTLY MANEUVERS AROUND AND ROLLS UP SANTORO INTO A PIN!!!! MIA’S SQUIRMING AROUND AND THE REFEREE SLIDES RIGHT INTO THE COUNT!!!!
ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!
TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!
(DING! DING! DING!)
Bella Braxton: HERE IS YOUR WINNERRRRR… LT. COLONEL, MICHAEL SCOTT CONNORRRR!!!
Persephone: Oh wow, wasn’t expecting that… BUT IT’S OVER! :blessed:
Rich Russillo: Michael Scott Connor with a great win here as Pain for Pride season is off to a better pitch for him now! Of course, this match could’ve gone either way & I’m sure Mia very much hoped to mount momentum of her own with tonight’s match. Unfortunately, this wouldn’t end up being the case, as the Lieutenant Colonel was just one step ahead.
James Peters: Santoro must surely be frustrated, after Grand Rampage not going at all how she would’ve liked to, and then the loss tonight that won’t help matters any better. Regardless, this was a great match that showcased both elitists in this sprint of a match. Congratulations to Michael Scott Connor!
(‘Won’t Back Down’ can be heard throughout the audience as Michael Scott Connor has his hand raised by the referee, with a grin on his face as he’s very satisfied with the victory tonight. Mia sports a rather frustrated expression over her face, surprised by how the result of this match panned out as she shook her own head in disappointment. The scene soon fades from there.)
(Commercial for Pain for Pride.)
(The camera cuts to Bella Braxton standing in the ring with a microphone.)
Bella Braxton: Ladies and gentlemen… at this time please welcome Voltage Consultant… EDEN SINCLAIR!!!!!!
(The crowd gives off a mixed reaction as Eden Sinclair makes her way down to the ring looking very professional. She takes the microphone from Bella Braxton in the ring and shakes her hand thanking her for all her hard work for Voltage. She then turns to address the audience.)
Eden Sinclair: Hello Voltage fans! I appreciate your warm welcome as I return to Voltage here tonight! It is great to be back and honestly it feels like it has been ages since I left. So much has happened! I missed so much! But I would do it all again the same way again every time. Because nothing is more important than the miracle of life!!!
(The crowd cheers for Eden Sinclair as she returns from maternity leave.)
Eden Sinclair: My baby is happy. My baby is healthy. I admit I have enjoyed my time away as well. I didn’t realize just how hard I was working. How much stress I was under. I made some poor choices admittedly. I mean just think about this baby’s father… well I don’t even want to think about him tonight. It’s my return night! Let’s stick to the positives!!! I realized that I have been working very hard, so this was a welcome break. I am restored and rejuvenated. As much as a new mother can be anyway. It’s not exactly a vacation… But I am not here to complain. That is not my style. I am here and back on Voltage and I am going to do my part to make sure that it is the best brand that EAW has to offer!
Crowd: VOLTAGE! VOLTAGE! VOLTAGE!
Eden Sinclair: I love your passion! I can feel your love for what we do here on Voltage. I am glad that this show has somehow survived my absence. But I am back now and I don’t come empty handed. No I am out here to thank you all for your support! I have a major announcement here tonight! I am sure there have been all kinds of rumors on the dirtsheets about what my “massive announcement” is going to be. Well… first of all I have to inform you all that I am in fact… not pregnant again. I just want to dispel that rumor right away. No this announcement actually has very little to do with me personally. In fact this announcement is about the EAW World Championship currently held by Charlie Marr!!
Crowd: BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
Eden Sinclair: Yes yes we all saw what he did at the Grand Rampage to retain the championship. But honestly I am pretty impressed by his con artist talent, as despicable as it might be. But that is what this announcement is all about. Charlie Marr has latched himself onto that championship and has defeated all challengers such as Rex McAllister, TLA, and Drake King. But Pain for Pride is right around the corner and he deserves to have a competitor of the highest order. I say we find a challenger for him that is his biggest challenge so far! It is only right that Voltage have the biggest main event out of all three brands. Something that the other consultants and executives on the other brands can truly be jealous of. That is why I am not out here tonight to simply announce a new challenger or contender to Charlie Marr. No I am not here to play favoritism or hand the opportunity to someone who would boost ticket sales or something like that. We are going to find the best and most deserving talent to face Charlie Marr, the best in-ring talent that Voltage has to offer.
(The crowd gives a positive response to this clearly intrigued as to where this is all going.)
Eden Sinclair: Next week on Voltage… will be the start of the Sudden Death Gold Rush!!! This is going to be a night like you have never seen before! Not one… not two… not three… but FOUR matches will be taking place next week live on Voltage! The winners of these matches will then go on to compete in a Fatal Four Way Match in two weeks again right here only on Voltage! And the very special and lucky winner of that Fatal Four Way match… will indeed go on to main event Pain for Pride and compete for the EAW World Championship!!!
Rich Russillo: Wow that is a huge announcement! The road to Pain for Pride has just become a hell of a lot clearer here tonight! But who is going to be involved in that? I
James Peters: I assume we will have eight potential contenders? That is wild. The playing field for Pain for Pride is completely wide open this year! It is truly anyone’s game!!!
Eden Sinclair: This is a huge opportunity. For many people on this roster. A lot of people who probably thought the door of opportunity for them to main event Pain for Pride this year was closed and locked shut. I assure you all that it is not. Any of you can potentially win the Sudden Death Gold Rush. I strongly suggest that everyone involved not take this opportunity for granted. If it was me I would give this opportunity absolutely everything that I have. You all need to understand exactly what is on the line here. This is an opportunity on par with winning the Grand Rampage. This is an opportunity to compete in arguably the biggest match that EAW has to offer for the entire year. Halfassing this thing will absolutely not be tolerated. This is the type of opportunity where if you don’t give it your all and you miss out you will regret it for the rest of your entire life as a professional wrestler. This is make or break, and for many of you involved here… you will find yourselves broken. But for the sole survivor… you will find yourself with the biggest prize of all!!!
(A video package for the upcoming Pain for Pride event this year is shown hyping up the event.)
Crowd: EAW! EAW! EAW!
Eden Sinclair: I can see that we are all excited. I am sure that backstage as I am making this announcement all of you are excited as well. Wondering if you will be part of the Sudden Death Gold Rush. Unfortunately, not everyone can be involved. This is the last chance after all to compete for the EAW World Championship at Pain for Pride. So that is why we are deliberating until the last minute to ensure we pick the best and most qualified contenders out of everyone on the roster. That is not to take away from anyone else who does not get picked for this opportunity. If you do not get picked rest assured that you very well could find yourself with a great opportunity like this next year… or honestly even before! Just like I gave life to my child, I Eden Sinclair, have returned to give life back to EAW Voltage!!!
Persephone: Oh nah she did not just say that…
Eden Sinclair: Sorry I got a little too excited there. I will compose myself. I can’t help of thinking about my beloved Valentina… and in many ways I consider Voltage to be my first born child after all… But uh… as I was saying. We will continue to deliberate as to who will be involved in next week’s Sudden Death Gold Rush! The competitors involved in this will not be revealed until the match card for next week’s Voltage is released! So make sure to check that out! I am sure that whoever is chosen, whoever finds themselves in the matches we have next week will bring their absolute best. The finest wrestling that this business has to offer. It is Voltage after all!
Crowd: VOLTAGE! VOLTAGE! VOLTAGE!
Eden Sinclair: I appreciate you all giving me this time and welcoming me back with open arms! I promise to do my best to make Voltage’s offering to Pain for Pride the best that I can! Now let us get back to the show! There is plenty more Voltage action where that came from here tonight! While I am sure you are all excited for next week… don’t forget about what we have in store still to come here tonight! I am going to get out of the ring now, but I hope that you give these Voltage wrestlers the greatest reaction that you can. Because one day Valentina is going to be old enough to enter this ring and bury all of them!!! Nah I joke I joke… Well… maybe…
(Eden Sinclair looks serious for a moment before laughing it off.)
Eden Sinclair: Enjoy the show!!! And remember that life is precious and we should make sure Voltage is fun for everyone. As you watch the show here tonight I hope you will all remember to think of the children!!!
(Eden Sinclair hands the microphone off to Bella Braxton who again shakes her hand as the Voltage Consultant leaves the ring and heads backstage.)
Rich Russillo: Big announcement here tonight. I can’t wait to find out what the main event of Pain for Pride on Voltage’s side will end up being!
Persephone: Hopefully it is more Luis and less that other guy that got a title shot recently.
(With that, Voltage fades backstage.)
( Sunday Night Voltage continues on as we transition to a backstage segment, with the camera feed magically turning black and white. The shot focuses on Bea Valentine in her dressing room, lying down on her couch, holding onto what appears to be a picture of her and “Gloria” draped across her chest. She is depressed and saddened having lost her precious Gloria last week at Grand Rampage when KASAI defeated her for it. She’s wearing a black dress with a black veil covering her face, while Cornelius is trying to fan Bea with an expensive hand fan, trying to cool her down and calm down a very depressed and sad Bea Valentine. She has tears running down her face, as what could possibly have been her worst nightmare has come true and she no longer has her precious little baby. She continues to sulk in her tragedy, beginning to speak to Cornelius… )
Bea Valentine: Cornelius… I AM A WRECK! My baby… my precious little princess… my sweet glorious beauty… the rock to my world…. she’s not in my arms anymore… she’s not with me anymore. It’s been an awful week, one filled with sadness and emptiness because my Gloria is no longer mine, Cornelius! She has a new owner and it makes me so gosh darn upset! She was everything to me, she was by my side when I needed her and when she needed me! We were inseparable, and now she’s gone???? I STILL CAN’T BELIEVE THIS IS MY LIFE CORNELIUS!
(Cornelius looks and sees how upset Bea is acting about Gloria and despite it happening over a week ago, she is still sulking and crying over what transpired at the Marquee Event. He then talks to Bea while fanning her harder as he says… )
Cornelius: Calm Down Madam Bea, it’s been over a week since the “incident” and you need to relax and try not to think too hard about it! You’re going to get through this sudden tragedy because no matter what the circumstances are right now, you have proven yourself to be worthy of a Champion. You should feel proud of yourself for that,
Bea Valentine: DUH! Obviously, I am proud of myself for being such a marvelous and worthy Champion. I already knew that. But when you talk about my Gloria… she was special, she was my precious. It wasn’t any other ugly, filthy belt that this company has… no, it was different. She was special in every way, she was beautiful, Cornelius. Everything about her made me fall in love with her. Don’t you understand!!! There was a connection between myself and Gloria, a connection that was rooted in love and care. Now my heart can never be full again, all because of that HOMEWRECKER KASAI.
Cornelius: I get how you’re feeling Madam Bea. I understand the feeling of a broken heart, but instead of sulking here, use that broken heart and look back at what you were able to have with her. All the memories you have shared together. You’re gonna get through this, trust me you absolutely will because I believe in you to do that.
( Bea takes a look at the photo she was just holding onto of Gloria as she lets a sigh, taking a moment to think about the memories she had with her and how special it was to hold her. Bea then begins to recount those memories alongside Cornelius. )
Bea Valentine: Awwww…. The memories… Simpler times, Cornelius. I remember it like it was yesterday when I took her away from that fool Milli Banks at House of Glass. Oh, it was wonderful, the moment I locked eyes on my precious little queen I knew we were going to be bonded for life. Spoiling Milli’s chances of being the longest reigning Specialists Champion, defending my sweet Gloria against five other women in the Extreme Elimination Chamber, kept my baby from that wannabe Disney Princess in Candice Blair, and by the hair of my chinny chin chin, retaining her against that wretched Valerie Hellstorm. We had a wonderful ride, the many sights we saw, the many places we have been to, it was so wonderful. She completed me in my star-studded pictures. She made me better than I already was, and now it’s all over. It really is over, Cornelius…
( A single teardrop then runs down Bea’s check as Cornelius responds to Bea by saying… )
Cornelius: It’s all so bittersweet Madam Bea. The memories you shared with your co-star are what makes your pictures a delight. That is what made you amazing, and even without Gloria, you’re gonna be an even bigger star than you were before, it’s what she would have wanted. You knew eventually she wasn’t going to be yours, you weren’t going to be Champion, but having these moments is what will keep your heart whole.
Bea Valentine: But why Cornelius? Why did Gloria and I have to end, why couldn’t just be together forever? Of course, the memories will always make me happy but my heart is still broken. Why couldn’t we just be intact with one another, why did that freak KASAI have to tear us apart? I swear to god KASAI better not break my heart again… well I don’t know if my heart will ever be repaired. I don’t think anything can for a while… Fan me, Cornelius!
Cornelius: Of course Ms. Valentine.
(Cornelius continues to fan Bea Valentine and help her cool down as, despite Cornelius’ best efforts to comfort Bea and reassure her about what’s to come, she is still emotionally heartbroken over the loss of her Specialists Championship at Grand Rampage. All of a sudden, we hear a knock on the door. Bea is flustered over the knock as she tells Cornelius… )
Bea Valentine: Cornelius… answer the bloody door.
Cornelius: On it, Madam Bea.
( Cornelius rushes to the front door and lets the person in. The person in question walks into the frame as it’s none other than Captain Charisma! Voltage’s very own Commissioner enters Bea’s dressing room as she notices a bummed-out Bea Valentine lying on her couch, sulking away her sorrows. He looks around to see the scope of her locker room, making himself known…)
Captain Charisma: *Cough* *Cough*
( Bea, who was daydreaming, notices Captain Charisma as she is startled by his presence. Bea stops lying on the couch as she sits up and looks toward the Commissioner, clearing her throat as she then begins to speak…)
Bea Valentine: Oh! Captain Charisma! What brings you to my dressing room? Don’t you see that I’m in a terrible state of mind right now? I don’t care if my match is next, I’ll get ready for my match against AJ Redding in a moment, I’m just not in the mood to be lectured right now.
Captain Charisma: Actually Bea, this has nothing to do with her match that’s coming up but you should get in your gear as you mention it. Anyway… that’s not why I have come to this unusual place for a dressing room… I actually have something to share with you.
Bea Valentine: Oh save it CC, I am not in the mood for any newsworthy stuff. Don’t see how I’m dressed? Don’t you see how broken my blood heart was right now Captain Charisma? Just think of all of the sad movies in the world and multiply by a million and that’s how I feel without my Gloria. She was my everything CC and I don’t want to hear a single thing right now as I just wanna lie down and look back at the great memories I shared with my precious Gloria.
(Bea goes back to lying on her couch as Captain Charisma has a confused look on his face. Captain Charisma then says to Bea… )
Captain Charisma: I mean are you sure you don’t want to hear the news I’m going to give to you? I get the connection that you and Gloria had but you don’t want to hear what I have to say to you? It might be important.
( Bea continues to lie down on the couch still sulking at her loss at Grand Rampage as Captain Charisma then says to Bea Valentine… )
Captain Charisma: You know as much as your heart may be broken right now… I might have something that’s going to fix that heart of yours back to 100%. An opportunity that can fix your heart right back.
Bea Valentine: Yeah right…
( Then Captain Charisma proceeds to tell Bea about the opportunity. We can’t hear what they are saying but as soon as Bea heard the news from Captain Charisma her mood changed out of nowhere! Cornelius enters back into the frame as Bea goes from being sad and depressed to now being joyful and excited! She squeals loud and hard, throws the picture of her and Gloria away, and rips the black veil off. Captain Charisma looks pleased at Bea’s excitement as Bea stands up and speaks to Cornelius. )
Bea Valentine: Come on Cornelius! Let’s get you ready for Luis!
( Bea and Cornelius get out of the frame and scaddle away in their dressing room to get ready. Captain Charisma walks out of frame as the segment fades out. Sunday Night Voltage then heads to commercial break. )
(The camera cuts to a commercial featuring a PSA begging fans to stop making jokes about Tyler Parker being black on social media.)
(The camera cuts to Bella Braxton in the ring.)
Bella Braxton: THE FOLLOWING CONTEST IS SCHEDULED FOR… ONE FALL!!
Crowd: ONE FALL!!
(The crowd lends a positive reaction as TOP (“Tower of God” OP English Version) by Stray Kids blares throughout the arena. AJ Redding starts to walk out, waving to the fans, and eventually high fiving them as he heads down the ramp, calm, but at the same time, focused ahead of his match with Bea.)
Bella Braxton: Introducing first! From Auckland, New Zealand, weighing in at 213 pounds… HE IS ALL HEART AND SOUL… AJ REDDING!!
James Peters: Grand Rampage has come, and gone. We are fast approaching Pain for Pride, and if there’s ever been a time to impress, it’s now, Rich.
Rich Russillo: I couldn’t agree more, and luckily for Redding, he has an opportunity to impress tonight against Bea Valentine.
James Peters: Yes, beating the former Specialists Champion will certainly get people talking.
Rich Russillo: Or you could say buzzing…
Persephone: 😐
(“Gloria” by Laura Branigan plays to a mixed reaction from fans, as Bea Valentine comes twirling out for entrance before skipping down the ramp, clearly in high spirits ahead of her match with Redding. While Bea was initially depressed following her Championship loss, her conversation with Captain Charisma would seemingly change that, despite the information being unknown.)
Bella Braxton: And his opponent!! Hailing out of Boston, Massachusetts, weighing in at 143 pounds…BEA VALENTINE!!
James Peters: I wonder what Captain Charisma told her that caused her to be so excited. She was extremely depressed before it. Not often you see a champion in such high spirits after the loss of their title.
Rich Russillo: Well, not unless you’re Ronan Malosi.
James Peters: But still, at least Bea is coming into this with a somewhat clear head, and I hope she’s focused, because AJ Redding is no slouch.
Persephone: She better enjoy now, because it isn’t long before Luis’ match versus her overweight butler, who is going to get destroyed!
(Both competitors are in their opposing corners as the referee signals for the bell.)
(DING! DING! DING!)
James Peters: Both competitors start things off by circling one another, Bea having a little extra pep in her step before locking up with AJ Redding in the center of the ring! Bea slips behind AJ for a rear waistlock, but AJ manages to pry her hands apart, transitioning into an arm wringer.
Rich Russillo: Bea rolls forward to a seated position on the canvas, and moves to all fours, HANDSPRINGING to a vertical base, and FLIPPING AJ Redding onto his back with an arm wringer of her own!
James Peters: Redding rises to a knee, looking a bit caught off guard following that reversal by Bea, who takes this time to taunt, playing to our audience. AJ shakes it off, and returns to a vertical base, circling Bea for a second time. Collar and elbow takes place! This time, Bea gets the upper hand with a standing side headlock!
Rich Russillo: Though, AJ bounces her off the ropes to escape! Dropdown by Redding! AJ pops to his feet for a LEAPFROG over Bea as she comes rebounding back! However, Bea manages to halt her momentum before AJ spins around, and gets grounded with a side headlock takedown! AJ counters quickly with a headscissors, and Bea escapes quickly as well, kicking out of the headscissors, and scrambling back to her feet, alongside Redding!
James Peters: BEA COMES CHARGING IN- BUT RUNS RIGHT INTO A SIDE HEADLOCK TAKEDOWN FROM BEHALF OF AJ REDDING! Bea quickly counters with a headscissors of her own, and tightens her hold around AJ’s head and neck area.
Persephone: For most of our sexually deprived fanbase, this is a dream to be between Bea’s legs like this.
Rich Russillo: Well, this is not where AJ Redding wants to be, and he moves to a front neck bridge as a result. AJ manages to push himself out from between Bea’s legs, and pounces on top of her with a grounded side headlock!
Persephone: Great. More ground game, because that’s what this match needs! :wow:
James Peters: AJ wrenches on the hold for a while, but eventually, Bea is able to roll AJ onto both shoulders for a cover! Looking to pull a fast one here!
ONNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!
TWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!
Rich Russillo: Kickout! Both competitors slowly return back to their feet, finding themselves at a stalemate thus far.
James Peters: Bea nearly did pull a fast one over AJ there, garnering a two count off that cover.
Persephone: I wish she garnered a three count.
Rich Russillo: Bea and AJ are still in the feeling out process of the match, and circle each other once more. Collar and elbow tie-up in the center of the ring! Bea tacks on a hammerlock, slipping behind Redding, and tries adding further pressure toward that elbow.
James Peters: Now, Redding slithers behind Valentine, countering with a hammerlock of his own! Bea reaches back with her free arm, and snapmares AJ Redding over her shoulder to escape! Redding rushes back to his feet- BUT IS CAUGHT WITH A KICK TO THE MIDSECTION BY BEA! That one knocked the wind out of Redding, who doubles over in pain before being irish whipped toward the ropes by Valentine!
Rich Russillo: Dropdown by Bea! Followed up with a leapfrog! But similar to Bea from earlier, AJ halts his momentum behind her! Bea spins around- AND EATS A KNIFE EDGE CHOP FROM REDDING! Bea goes down, and regroups in the nearby corner, pulling herself back up to a vertical base. AJ closes in, and delivers ANOTHER knife edge chop to the chest! THAT SHOT ECHOING THROUGHOUT THE ARENA!
James Peters: The pain is etched across the face of Valentine, who gets irish whipped to the opposite corner by AJ! Bea goes up and over AJ, who spins around- AND BEA CHARGES IN WITH A FOREARM! BEA STARTS TO HAMMER REDDING WITH MULTIPLE FOREARMS IN THAT CORNER, AND BRINGS HIM TO THE CENTER OF THE RING FOR A BODY SLAM! LOOK AT THE STRENGTH DISPLAYED BY VALENTINE!
ONNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEE!!
TWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOO!!
Persephone: Shocking. A body slam didn’t finish the match. 😱
Rich Russillo: Valentine just hoisted up 213 pounds in the form of Redding! Bea lifts him back to his feet, and connects with ANOTHER forearm! AJ staggers back into the corner as a result, and Bea closes in, scoring ANOTHER forearm on Redding!
James Peters: Bea starts to land repeated stomps in the corner, beating AJ down to the second turnbuckle before standing him back up, and sending Redding to the opposite corner with an Irish whip! NO! Redding counters, sending Bea to the corner instead!
Rich Russillo: BUT BEA HALTS HER MOMENTUM, PLACING HER BOOT UP ON THE MIDDLE TURNBUCKLE! AJ RUSHES IN- BUT EATS A BACK ELBOW FOR HIS TROUBLES! AJ staggers back to the center of the ring, and Bea shoots out of the corner, head full of steam! BUT RUNS RIGHT INTO A DROPKICK FROM REDDING! BEA SITS UP, FAVORING HER MOUTH AND NOSE, BUT IS LAID FLAT BY REDDING FOR THE COVER!
ONNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEE!!
TWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOO!!
Persephone: Another two count… meaning: this match will continue.
James Peters: Cmon, Persephone, try to sound more excited!
Persephone: Oh, I will be excited later on when my Luis beats up her dumb butler. 🥰
James Peters: :wow:
Rich Russillo: Bea was able to kickout at two off the dropkick, but gets brought back to her feet by Redding for a KNIFE EDGE CHOP! Bea staggers back against the ropes, favoring her chest, and staggers back toward AJ Redding for a SNAP SUPLEX in the middle of the ring! AJ floats over into the cover!
ONNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEE!!
TWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOO!!
James Peters: Kickout! Bea sits up, but AJ wastes no time in strapping on a rear chinlock! AJ is slowing the match down, but also wearing down his opponent. The crowd starts to rally behind Bea, and Bea powers back to her feet, trying to battle back with shots to the rib cage of Redding, loosening his grip- BUT REDDING RESPONDS BY CLUBBING THE BACK OF VALENTINE!
Rich Russillo: Bea arches her back in pain, and staggers to the corner, trying to create some space from Redding. But it’s no use as AJ is hot on her heels, approaching Bea in the corner, and landing yet another knife edge chop! Redding gestures to the crowd one more time, and lives up to word. Indeed, knife edge chopping AJ Redding across the chest one more time!
James Peters: Notice how every shot echoes throughout the Crypto.com Arena. Redding is putting some serious stank on those chops, and grabs the back of Bea’s head, directing her towards the opposite corner as he slams her FACE FIRST off the top turnbuckle!
Persephone: Following that, Redding lands his MILLIONTH knife edge chop in the corner for fucks sake!
Rich Russillo: BUT THIS TIME, BEA RETURNS FIRE WITH A KNIFE EDGE CHOP OF HER OWN, ATTEMPTING TO FIGHT HER WAY OUT OF THE CORNER! AJ STRIKES BACK WITH A KNIFE EDGE CHOP AS WELL! BEA DOES THE SAME, GOING BLOW FOR BLOW WITH REDDI- OOH! NEVERMIND! REDDING KNOCKS BEA BACK INTO THE CORNER WITH A DEVASTATING FOREARM!
James Peters: Redding sends Bea into the opposite corner with an irish whip, and rushes in! RUNNING EUROPEAN UPPERCUT BY REDDING IN THE CORNER, AND HE BRINGS BEA TO THE CENTER OF THE RING FOR AN EXPLODER SUPLEX, LOOKING TO LAUNCH HER- NO! BEA COUNTERS WITH A ELBOW TO THE SIDE OF HIS HEAD, STUNNING REDDING MOMENTARILY!
Rich Russillo: BEA RUNS OFF THE ROPES, BUT REDDING AIMS TO TAKE HER HEAD OFF WITH A CLOTHESLINE! BEA DUCKS UNDERNEATH, AND RUNS OFF THE ROPES A SECOND TIME, FLOORING REDDING WITH A BASEMENT DROPKICK TO THE KNEE, SENDING HIM DOWN TO ALL FOURS! BEA RUNS OFF THE ROPES FOR A SECOND TIME, AND SCORES WITH A SLIDING SINGLE-LEG DROPKICK TO THE SIDE OF HIS HEAD!
James Peters: BEA CRAWLS INTO THE COVER, HOOKING THE LEG!
ONNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEE!!
TWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOO!!
James Peters: Only a two count! So far, that’s been all either competitor have been able to garner over the other.
Persephone: Yeah, and I hate it.
James Peters: Bea pulls Redding back to his feet, and gives him a taste of his medicine with a KNIFE EDGE CHOP TO THE CHEST! AJ staggers to the ropes, holding his chest in pain, but Bea doesn’t give him much breathing room before closing in. Bea bounces AJ off the ropes, AND BLASTS HIM WITH A RUNNING BACK ELBOW! BEA QUICKLY DROPS DOWN INTO THE COVER!
ONNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEE!!
TWWWWWWWOOOOOOOO-
Rich Russillo: Wow! This time, not even a two count off that back elbow. Redding attempts to shake the cobwebs out of his head following that onslaught by Bea, but Bea wisely refuses him much recovery room, laying AJ back flat for a JUMPING LEG DROP! Cover is made!
ONNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEE!!
TWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOO!!
James Peters: Kickout!
Persephone: Welp, while this match is going on, I might as well check on how Luis’ training is going for his match with the butler later, or should I? I don’t want to break his concentration either. 🤔 Rich, James, what do you think?
James Peters: I’d love to offer my advice, Persephone, but I’m kinda focused on calling the match right now. Something you should be doing as well.
Persephone: But it’s sooo boring. :noah:
Rich Russillo: :wow: Bea tries pulling Redding back to his feet- BUT AJ FIGHTS BACK WITH A SHOT TO THE MIDSECTION AS HE GETS TO A KNEE! With Bea stunned momentarily, AJ returns to his feet- BUT CATCHES HIM WITH A KICK TO THE ABDOMEN! FOREARM BY BEA SPINS AJ AROUND, AND DOUBLES HIM OVER! Bea approaches- BUT FALLS RIGHT INTO AJ’S TRAP AS HE EXPLODES WITH A KNIFE EDGE CHOP!
James Peters: Bea doubles over herself now, and AJ approaches- BUT WALKS RIGHT INTO A KNIFE EDGE CHOP FROM VALENTINE! BEA IRISH WHIPS AJ INTO THE CORNER, AND CHARGES IN! BUT AJ SENDS HER UP AND OVER HIS SHOULDER TO THE OUTSIDE!
Rich Russillo: SPOKE TOO SOON THERE, PARTNER, AS BEA CAUGHT HERSELF ON THE APRON! AJ SPINS AROUND TO DELIVER A RIGHT HAND- BUT IT GETS BLOCKED BY BEA, WHO SENDS HIM STUMBLING WITH A ROPE-ASSISTED ENZIGURI! BEA CLIMBS TO THE TOP ROPE, AND LINES AJ UP! AJ HAS NO IDEA WHAT AWAITS HIM! DONT TURN AROUND!
James Peters: DIVING CROSSBO- INTERCEPTED! THE CROSSBODY GETS INTERCEPTED WITH A DROPKICK OUT OF MID AIR BY REDDING! BEA WRITHES AROUND IN PAIN, AND AJ SLOWLY STANDS HIMSELF UP, STAGGERING BACK INTO THE CORNER!
Rich Russillo: AJ takes this time to recover, catching his breath as Bea uses the ropes for assistance in returning to her feet. Both AJ and Bea march toward one another, and Bea swings wildly for a clothesline- BUT AJ SEES IT COMING, DUCKING UNDERNEATH! AJ BACKS BEA INTO THE CORNER WITH MULTIPLE KNIFE EDGE CHOPS, AND IRISH WHIPS HER TO THE OPPOSITE CORNER!
James Peters: AJ CHARGES IN- BUT BEA GETS THE BOOT UP, STAGGERING REDDING, AND PLACING HIM ON WOBBLY LEGS! BEA SHOOTS OUT OF THE CORNER WITH ANOTHER CLOTHESLINE ATTEMPT, BUT THIS TIME, SHES CAUGHT AND LAUNCHED WITH AN EXPLODER SUPLEX! HOOK OF THE LEG BY REDDING!
ONNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEE!!
TWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOO!!
Rich Russillo: TWO!
Persephone: I’m getting sick of hearing that number. Next time, let it be three.
Rich Russillo: Bea is stirring off that two count, but Redding wraps his arms around her waist, and pulls her back to a vertical base from behind. BEA DROPS DOWN TO ALL FOURS, AND SLITHERS THROUGH THE LEGS OF REDDING! BEA POPS TO HER FEET- BUT GETS CAUGHT WITH A SUPERKICK!
James Peters: SUPERKICK, BUT BEA DOESNT GO DOWN, REMAINING ON SPAGHETTI LEGS BEFORE BEING PLANTED WITH A SNAP BRAINBUSTER! BRAIN DAMAGE BY REDDING, WHO FLOATS OVER INTO THE COVER, HOOKING THE LEG!
ONNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!
TWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!
THHHHHHHHRRRRRRREEEEEEEE-
Persephone: WAIT! WAS THAT IT?! WAS THAT THREE?! :gladbron:
Rich Russillo: NO! BEA JUST BARELY GOT THE SHOULDER UP!
James Peters: And frustration is starting to set in for Redding, who questions the ref on if that was truly three or not. However, the referee affirms to AJ that he only scored a two count off that brainbuster.
Rich Russillo: Not to be deterred, AJ grabs Bea in a front facelock, and pulls her back up. Bea gets hoisted for a fireman’s carry- BUT SLIPS OUT THE BACK AFTER THRASHING AROUND ON THE SHOULDERS OF REDDING! BUT AJ SHIFTS THE MOMENTUM WITH A BACK ELBOW!
James Peters: Bea staggers back against the ropes, AND AJ RUSHES IN- BEA GETS THE BOOT UP! AJ TURNS AROUND, STAGGERED OFF THAT BIG BOOT! BEA THEN COMES FROM BEHIND, AND HOOKS AJ UP FOR A HALF NELSON NECKBREAKER! BEA HOOKS THE LEG!
ONNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!
TWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!
THHHHHHHHRRRRRRR-
Rich Russillo: AGAIN, ONLY TWO! BUT I THINK WERE APPROACHING THE BEGINNING OF THE END AS BEA STARTS TO STALK AJ LIKE A SHARK THAT SMELLS BLOOD IN THE WATER!
James Peters: REDDING STARTS TO STIR, UNAWARE WHATS BEHIND HIM BEFORE BEA HOOKS BOTH HIS ARMS FOR THE UNPRETTIER!
Persephone: YES! END IT!
Rich Russillo: WAIT! AJ SHOVES HER OFF THE BEA-MY-VALENTINE! BEA SPINS AROUND, AND MARCHES TOWARD HIM- BUT SHE GETS HOISTED UP IN A FIREMANS CARRY! AJ STAGGERS BACK A BIT, AND BEA SLIPS OFF HIS SHOULDERS ONTO THE APRON! AJ SPINS AROUND, AND BLOCKS A RIGHT HAND FROM BEA! SCORING ONE OF HIS OWN, STUNNING HER ON THE APRON!
James Peters: AJ GOES OUT TO THE APRON, AND HOOKS BEA UP IN POSITION FOR A SUPLEX, OR POSSIBLY A BRAINBUSTER ON THAT APRON! AJ LIFTS HER UP, BUT BEA GOES UP AND OVER THE TOP ROPE BACK INSIDE THE RING! STEP-UP ENZIGURI BY BEA KNOCKS AJ TO THE FLOOR!
Rich Russillo: AJ LANDS ON ALL FOURS, AND SLOWLY RETURNS TO HIS FEET, SHAKING THE COBWEBS OUT OF HIS HEAD- BEA! BEA SOARS THROUGH THE MIDDLE ROPE WITH A SUICIDE DIVE ONTO REDDING! AJ GOES BACK FIRST INTO THE BARRICADE, AND BEA ROLLS HIM BACK INSIDE THE RING!
James Peters: BEA ROLLS BACK INSIDE HERSELF AS AJ PULLS HIMSELF UP TO A SEATED POSITION IN THE CORNER! A LIGHT BULB GOES OFF IN THE HEAD OF VALENTINE, WHO RUSHES IN WITH DOUBLE KNEES IN THE CORNER! BEA ROLLS AJ OUT OF THE CORNER, AND CLIMBS TO THE TOP ROPE WITH HER OPPONENT SPRAWLED OUT ON THE CANVAS!
Rich Russillo: BEA PERCHES HERSELF ON THE TOP ROPE, AND AJ HASNT MOVED AN IOTA! FROG SPLASH BY BEA- NO! AJ ROLLED OUT OF THE WAY, SUCCESSFULLY AVOIDING FLIGHT OUT OF THE BUMBLEBEA! THOUGH, BEA SAW IT COMING, AND ROLLED THROUGH TO HER FEET!
James Peters: BEA CHARGES TOWARD REDDING- BUT REDDING HALTS HER MOMENTUM WITH A BOOT TO THE GUT, AND HOOKS HER UP FOR THE SITOUT DOUBLE UNDERHOOK POWERBOMB! BUT BEA SLIPS OFF THE SHOULDERS OF REDDING, LANDING IN FRONT OF HIM, AND PLANTING AJ WITH THE SWINGING REVERSE STO!
Rich Russillo: THE CONSPIRACY CONNECTS, AND BEA SHOOTS THE HALF FOR A COVER! THIS COULD BE ALL SHE WROTE!
ONNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEE!!
TWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOO!!
THHHHHHRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!
(DING! DING! DING!)
Bella Braxton: HERES YOUR WINNER… BEA VALENTINE!
(“Gloria” by Laura Branigan plays to a positive reaction from fans as Bea releases the cover on AJ, and rises to her feet, having her hand raised in victory by the referee.)
Persephone: Great! It’s over! Now, we’re one step closer to seeing Luis!
James Peters: :wow: Yes, Luis is in action later tonight, but I don’t want to gloss over Bea’s victory either, because she managed to defeat AJ Redding in a nice back-and-forth contest.
Rich Russillo: These two were mostly neck and neck, but it came down towards the end. Both competitors tried hitting their moves, but it’d be Bea’s to actually land! Hopefully, Bea can keep this momentum rolling following Grand Rampage!
(Bea starts heading to the back, proud with her victory as the camera fades elsewhere.)

(Sunday Night Voltage returns to the sounds of ‘Zombie’ by The Cranberries blasting through the speakers of the arena. The crowd roars into thunderous cheers as the camera goes over to show the Unified Tag Team Champions, Alex Myers and Ruler, as NICHOLISM make their way out to the stage. They both are visibly very serious right now with their titles over their shoulder, as they then make their way down the ramp and toward the ring.)
Bella Braxton: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome… the EAW UNIFIED TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!!!! ALEX MYERS AND RULER… NICHOLISM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rich Russillo: Last week we saw NICHOLISM successfully defend their Unified Tag Team Championships against Pandora Paisley and Halsey Neel of British Invasion. Of course, that didn’t come without its controversy though, as we saw The Jaded Hearts make their return, with Kassidy Heart and Sienna Jade laying waste to both teams before they helped NICHOLISM get the victory in the match.
James Peters: We also saw on Friday Night Dynasty that Kassidy and Sienna have made a match against the Champions official at Fighting Spirit, a rematch from Operation: Doomsday when Alex and Ruler won the titles. Not only that but British Invasion is banned from ringside as well. It’s certainly interesting and right now it seems like NICHOLISM has something to say about it.
Persephone: Oh brother, we don’t want to hear this!
(Alex and Ruler make their way up the steep steps and onto the apron as both enter the ring. They take their titles and raise them high into the air while ‘Zombie’, from there, begins to come to a close. They both take microphones for themselves from the ringside area, heading back toward the center of the ring as Alex speaks up first.)
Alex Myers: It’s interesting to think about how everything has developed these past couple of weeks with NICHOLISM at the forefront of the tag team division. Grand Rampage did not at all go how we anticipated it and, long story short, it ended with Kassidy Heart and Sienna Jade making their returns to the ring. Now we have time to get in-depth about that, but we also heard what they had to say for themselves on Friday Night Dynasty, and needless to say, we aren’t exactly pleased by it either. Hunter and I hold our positions not just on this brand but in this company as well in very high regard. So when you have a team like The Jaded Hearts trying to take that away from us just because we say so, the last thing that you’re going to do is expect us to just stand by and let it happen. Absolutely not. We are not going to back down from anyone no matter their stature, and we’re going to make it known that they’ve made a grave mistake trying to mess with us like they have as of late. If they consider us fools, if they consider us idiots, then they’re going to have to think again. They’re going to have to reevaluate their game plan because we are not going to be afraid to turn the tables on them if need be. That doesn’t just go for them, that goes for anyone, and I’d consider this a lesson as we do not plan to have these Unified Tag Team Championships taken away from us for quite some time.
Ruler: It’s as Alexis said that we hold our status in this company to a very high regard. Now that we are Champions we look at ourselves as the top Elitists whether we like it or not. That means we have to hold these Championships with dignity, just as anyone else would. So when you replay Fighting Spirit in our heads, when you replay what happened in our match against British Invasion, specifically at the end, we have a reason to say that we are not happy with how it went down. We’re not entirely pleased that it played out the way that it did, and we find it very disrespectful that we happened to be a casualty in the battle that Kassidy and Sienna were having against Halsey and Pandora just because they cost them the titles at Operation: Doomsday. You can do that on your own time, certainly not ours, because then it not only becomes an issue for the two of you, but it becomes an issue for us as well. It becomes a problem that we’re going to have to handle sooner rather than later. As Champions, we are not going to be afraid to do that, and it’s as Alexis said we are going to make sure that if it really comes down to it, we’re going to teach them a lesson whether they like it or not.
Alex Myers: It’s clear that The Jaded Hearts and British Invasion don’t really care about us. They see us and they don’t see us as Tag Team Champions, they just see us as two people who happen to be in the way of what they want to accomplish. They see us as people who are going to be disposed of easily and personally, that makes me sick. We didn’t work as hard as we did just to be stopped where we are. We’re not just going to stand here and take all of this because someone said so. If they honestly think that they’re just going to get what they want at our expense, then they’re better off thinking again because never in a million years is that going to end up happening. Let’s make one thing clear we didn’t win these Unified Tag Team Championships because they were handed to us. They weren’t just gifted to us because we asked for it like certain teams would. No, you’ve seen what we’ve been able to do, and you know how hard we’ve worked in order to get here. It was a hard road and it all culminated at Operation: Doomsday when we won these titles. We didn’t just do that though, but we also earned them. This is our blood, sweat, and tears, this is everything to us, more than you could ever imagine, and Hunter can agree that you’re going to have to pry these off of our cold, dead hands if you even want to consider taking everything that we have worked for away from us in the manner that you decide to.
Ruler: So don’t see this as a way of trying to flip the script on us, in fact, look at it as us doing that to you. British Invasion and The Jaded Hearts may have this perfect scenario in their heads where they’re going to settle this once and for all with these titles on the line, but as long we have these, we are always going to throw a wrench in their plans. I anticipate them coming after us, I anticipate them coming at our throats and doing whatever they can in order to get these Championships in their hands. But as far as we’re concerned that is never going to happen no matter how hard they try. Believe me, they are more than welcome to come at us both at the same time, because we’ll be happy to face them in that scenario if the situation calls for it and that is really what it takes. But one way or another, NICHOLISM is going to establish itself into just as the tag team to beat but as the best tag team bar none in the division currently. We could give less of a damn what any of you want because we know what we want, and in this company, it matters who wants it more and I know for certain that Alexis and I want this more than you.
Alex Myers: But it’s clear that’s not going to be the case just yet because our future is already set. As mentioned already, The Jaded Hearts had something to say about us on Friday Night Dynasty and they were quick to challenge us for these Unified Tag Team Championships upon their return. Now a match has been made official for Fighting Spirit and we have the opportunity to rectify what happened last week against presumably the greatest tag team of all time. But that’s not just all that’s been said, because, at the same time, they made sure that British Invasion was completely banned from ringside. Now, I don’t know about all of you, but we are personally glad that we don’t have to worry about Pandora Paisley and Halsey Neel making themselves known. But just know that it wouldn’t make much of a difference regardless, and it wouldn’t change how we feel this match is going to play out. But now all it comes down to is how we operate as a team and as far as we’re concerned, it’s us that has the edge over the likes of Kassidy and Sienna whether they can admit that to themselves or not. We have no choice but to be better than them simply because of how high we place ourselves now that we’re here as Champions. They think that they have all the answers and that Fighting Spirit is going to be their calling toward another Tag Team Championship under their belt, but if they think that then they clearly don’t know what they’re up against.
Ruler: In case you desire a history lesson, our title reign as of late hasn’t gone without a hitch. Even when we first won the title, it didn’t end without controversy as it was because of British Invasion interfering and costing The Jaded Hearts the match. Then when we were looking to face them and beat them, just last week it was Kassidy and Sienna who returned the favor. As of now, none of our title matches so far have ended clean, and while certain people would be bitchy about that and how that makes them look, we look at that and say that it doesn’t matter how it changes the perception of us because one thing for certain is the fact that we are standing before you regardless as Champions. Despite that though, that doesn’t change the fact that we are going to reprimand that, especially now that we are so close to Pain for Pride. One thing for certain, and this not only goes out to The Jaded Hearts but British Invasion as well, you are going to regret messing with us. You’ll find out soon enough just who runs things around here in the tag division, and you’ll find out sooner rather than later at Fighting Spirit, but I will tell you the answer right now that it is not either of you… but it’s NICHOLISM.
(Ruler and Alex drop their microphones down to the ground as ‘Zombie’ begins to blast through the speakers of the arena again and they take the Unified Tag Team Championships and raise them high into the air.)
Rich Russillo: Those are fighting words by NICHOLISM tonight as they make it known that despite what is standing right in front of them, and that is two tremendously talented teams, they are not going to back down from the challenge that is right in front of them. They are not only going to defend their Championships, but at the end of the day, they are going to walk out still as Champions.
James Peters: The Jaded Hearts are nearing them come Fighting Spirit, but Alex and Ruler have been preparing quite some time for this, and I think they know for certain the type of opponent that is going to be coming their way, and it’s not just anyone. It’s going to be interesting to see how they approach such a big match against them for the second time now.
Persephone: Oh please, not like it’s going to make much of a difference, but shit, whatever makes you happy I guess.
(The last shot seen is Alex and Ruler standing in the ring together as the scene fades into a commercial.)
(Commercial for the new “Knuckles” series.)
( Sunday Night Voltage returns from a commercial break with Ruler already positioned in the ring. He’s holding the EAW Unified Tag Team Championship title before passing it to the referee and awaiting his opponent. )
Bella Braxton: THE FOLLOWING CONTEST IS SCHEDULED FOR ONE FALL!… ALREADY IN THE RING!… FROM BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS!… WEIGHING IN AT 220 POUNDS!… HE’S ONE HALF OF THE EAW UNIFIED TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS!…. HE’S THE RULER!… OF!… EVERYTHINGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
James Peters: After Grand Rampage went downhill, NICHOLISM walked out with monumental success in their first title defense, though as we know that isn’t how they wanted things to play out. Ruler is set to face off tonight against Akari Kiyoko, another hot rookie we have on the roster, and we are going to see how this will go down!
( DESPERADO’ by ALIplays as Akari Kiyoko comes out with a serious look on his face. He’s been facing so much pressure coming out of Grand Rampage and learning a whole lot before heading to the ring, keeping his focus straight on Ruler )
Bella Braxton: INTRODUCING HIS OPPONENT!… FROM AOMORI, JAPAN!… WEIGHING IN AT 187 POUNDS!…. THE HOPEFUL SOUL!!!!!!!!…. AKARIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!… KIIIIIYYYYYYYOOOOOOOOOOKKKKKKKOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
James Peters: Akari has quite a performance on display at Grand Rampage, but as the outcome went, he didn’t win the match. He was aiming for a change coming into this week and heading straight towards the future that he’s looking upon.
Rich Russillo: Everyone coming off Grand Rampage surely didn’t have the sweetest outcome, but would that keep Akari down? Not at all. He wants to keep focused and bring his A-game to this match. He wants to prove himself against Ruler, and it’s going to be a good opportunity to show his improvement.
Persephone: He stinks.
( DING DING DING! )
James Peters: This is a huge opportunity for Akari Kiyoko tonight as he’s facing one-half of the EAW Unified Tag Team champions, Ruler, who is also the former EAW New Breed Champion. Ruler is widely recognized as a formidable elitist, so there’s no doubt that Akari Kiyoko has prepared thoroughly for this match, especially after the loss he experienced at Grand Rampage last week.
Persephone: Huh? What is threatening about this rancid crackhead who you just dubbed as ‘Formidable Elitist’?
Rich Russillo: Ruler initiates an approach, attempting to corner Akari, but Akari evades and reverses the situation, sending Ruler into the corner instead. Mudhole stomps follow, each blow landing with precision. There are tense moments, as one misstep could lead to Ruler facing consequences far greater than he expected.
James Peters: Trapped in the corner, Ruler finds himself at Akari’s mercy as Akari seizes control of the match’s pace. Ruler is then grabbed and hurled towards the opposite corner….
Rich Russillo: Akari runs as he pursues, trying to strike Ruler, but Ruler counters with a boot, causing the Hopeful Soul to stumble back toward the center of the ring. Akari stands tall in the center of the squared circle as Ruler slowly clambers up to the second rope.
James Peters: Akari thinks fast and moves quick, attempting to pull Ruler off, but Ruler refuses to comply, retaliating with hammer strikes to the back in an effort to subdue Akari’s aggression!
Persephone: Cool I guess.
Rich Russillo: Under the pressure, Akari begins to drop to both knees. Meanwhile, Ruler positions himself on the second rope, balancing on both feet and LOOK AT THIS! HE GOES FOR A SUNSET FLIP ROLL OFF THE SECOND ROPE LOOKING TO EXTINGUISH THE FIRE THAT AKARI BRINGS TO THE MATCH. THE SHOULDERS ARE DOWN!
ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Rich Russillo: KICK OUT AT TWO! Akari Kiyoko narrowly escapes being pinned, avoiding the count of three and keeping his winning streak intact!
James Peters: Akari appears to be setting up for a Discus Elbow Smash, but it’s a swing and a miss! Ruler seizes the opportunity, grabbing Akari’s arm and hitting him with an armdrag- AKARI SHOWCASES HIS AGILITY BY LANDING ON BOTH FEET!
Persephone: Yay another flippy shit. What else is new?
Rich Russillo: The unexpected counter almost catches Ruler off guard!… AKARI DELIVERS A RUNNING KNEE STRIKE, SENDING RULER STAGGERING BACK INTO THE ROPES! Ruler rebounds back to Akarai automatically…. TO BE CAUGHT IN AN INSIDE CRADLE! THIS TIME, AKARI HAS HIM!
ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Rich Russillo: RULER KICKS OUT!
Persephone: Three already please.
James Peters: Back-and-forth exchange of pins reflects both men’s eagerness to secure a victory quickly. Ruler, determined for revenge, delivers a punishing right knee to Akari’s gut before he can react, sending him crashing into the corner!
Rich Russillo: Ruler charges in as he delivers a powerful chop- AKARI SWIFTLY RETALIATES WITH ONE OF HIS OWN! THE EXCHANGE OF CHOPS INTENSIFIES AS BOTH COMPETITORS ENGAGE IN A CHOP FEST! HERE WE GO!
James Peters: The Hopeful Soul puts some energy into his striking maneuvers while Ruler keeps up his game as a veteran against Akari Kiyoko! Ruler lands more and more strikes, repeatedly hitting his chest with chops.
Rich Russillo: Akari falls back, but Ruler doesn’t stop, pushing him against the ropes but it’s Akari who manages to send Ruler down there instead.
James Peters: Ruler bounces off and attempts a running Elbow Strike, but Akari counters, sending him rebounding back from the front… RIGHT INTO A JUMPING KNEE SMASH TO THE BACK OF HIS HEAD!
Rich Russillo: Ruler drops to the middle rope. Akari runs in and drags Ruler off, then down to the center of the ring, setting up for the Cradle Suplex!
James Peters: Ruler manages to slip off and falls behind before making a run towards Akari, who turns around…. SLINGBLADE, BUT HE’S CAUGHT AGAIN AS WELL!… PULLING HIM RIGHT INTO A CRADLE BACKBREAKER, SNAPPING THE REVOLUTIONIZER IN HALF!
Rich Russillo: AKARI WITH SOME REAL WORK NOW, DROPPING INTO A COVER! COULD THIS BE IT TO PUT DOWN THE REVOLUTIONIZER?!
ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Rich Russillo: HE KICKS OUT! WOW!
Persephone: So it’s a “No”, lol.
Rich Russillo: On the bright side, Akari is certainly giving one half of the EAW Unified Tag Team Champion a run for their money with that backbreaker.
James Peters: Judging by the look on his face, you can feel the pandemonium radiating from him.
Rich Russillo: It’s very obvious to see whenever Akari puts some impact into his gameplan and tactics because every single time, he makes sure that his opponents will suffer the most to achieve the best outcome despite his on-screen persona being about giving the fans back the hope they once lost.
James Peters: On the other side, Ruler is trying to work hard against the hopeful soul who’s already coming after him following the Cradle Backbreaker he landed.
Rich Russillo: Now, he’s being dragged to the center of the ring. Akari has it all locked in here as he lifts Ruler off the ground, already looking for ENDLESS POSSIBILITIES!
Persephone: Good. Just end it. Right there. Right now.
James Peters: Ruler has been studying this, knowing that Akari could soon end him. He puts his meld back to the ground once more and quickly hooks him down from behind… LOOKING FOR A SNAP DRAGON SUPLEX!
Rich Russillo: HE DOES IT! THE SNAP DRAGON SUPLEX CONNECTS! RULER, WITH SOME OFFENSE, IS GIVING AKARI A HARD TIME FACING THE CONSEQUENCES OF HIS ACTIONS!
James Peters: Ruler wastes no time, continually going on with the punishment… SPINNING BACKHAND CHOP ALMOST SENDS HIS JAW FLYING, FOLLOWED BY A LEFT HOOK AND A REGULAR KNEE DRIVING INTO THE GUT… A LEG DROP OVER THE BACK OF HIS HEAD FLOORS AKARI COMPLETELY TO THE GROUND!
Rich Russillo: THAT’S A NASTY COMBO RULER IS PUTTING OUT THERE TO TAKE AKARI DOWN!
Persephone: It’s not nasty. It’s just ass. Luis could do better than that, and he’s going to prove it tonight when Bea’s boyfriend, that Corny guy or whatever the fuck his name is, thinks he’s any better.
James Peters: Now, Akari is rolling out to both knees, still in a lot of pain, but Ruler is going to finish this for good this time… THE WILL OF NICHOLAS DDT! OH MY GOD, IT CONNECTS THIS TIME! RULER DROPS INTO A COVER!
Rich Russillo: RULER MIGHT ACTUALLY HAVE IT ALL FIGURED OUT AND WIN IT RIGHT HERE!
Persephone: Don’t jinx it-
ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
James Peters: THREE!
Rich Russillo: NO! IT’S JUST TWO!
Persephone: I TOLD YOU NOT TO JINX IT, FOR FUCK SAKES!
James Peters: The Will of Nicholas being right there, Akari still manages to survive at the very last second but this gives Ruler an advantage. Ruler has applied one of his favorite signatures, which might as well serve Akari a dish of humble pie soon enough.
Rich Russillo: Akari scrambles back to his feet, glancing towards where Ruler is poised to end him. He shakes off his right foot, which has ended countless elitists in the past, up to this very moment.
James Peters: Akari turns around, and it seems like this might be over!…. REVOLUTIONZER CONNECTS!- NO!
Persephone: YOU MISSED, IDIOT! YOU MISSED! YOU MISSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rich Russillo: NO! AKARI JUST MANAGES TO DUCK UNDER THE RIGHT WHEN THE SPINNING BACK HEEL KICK IS ABOUT TO CONNECT, AND NOW HE’S STANDING TALL RIGHT BEHIND RULER! OHHH! POISONRANA SPIKES HIM!
James Peters: Akari, with a score to settle that Ruler has yet to address, sends Ruler tumbling back into the corner, clutching his head after the Poisonrana, and now Akari is making headway out of the corner toward his opponent… CLOTHESLINE IN THE CORNER!
Rich Russillo: He now drags Ruler out of the corner, jumping off the second rope while Ruler is still trying to regain his composure… PLANTING HIM WITH A CODE BLUE AS SOON AS HE HOPS OFF THE SECOND ROPE INTO A COVER!
James Peters: HIGH IMPACT SUNSET FLIP POWERBOMB JUST NOW PUTTING HIM ON THE GROUND! HIS SHOULDERS ARE DOWN AGAIN!
ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Rich Russillo: RULER POWERS OUT AT TWO!
James Peters: Ruler kicks out at two once again! Akari is putting in some solid effort right now, showing that he’s not backing off anytime soon.
Rich Russillo: He has everything within his grasp to finish this and achieve a huge victory over Ruler, while Ruler is going to have a hard time figuring out how to counter one of the toughest new talents that EAW has to offer.
James Peters: Ruler is trying to regain his momentum- AKARI CAN ALREADY BE SEEN RUNNING ALONG THE SECOND ROPE, POSSIBLY LOOKING TO FLY OFF FOR KINGSLAYUH!!!!!!!- OHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Rich Russillo: OHHHHH! NO NO! RULER HAS JUST MADE AN IMPRESSIVE CATCH WITH A BICYCLE KICK DIRECTLY TOWARD HIS CHIN IN THE MID AIR, SENDING AKARI RIGHT BACK TO THE GROUND!
Persephone: Wow, I’m so elated. Haha. could you lower your fucking voice and stop yelling into your mic? It’s annoying.
James Peters: AKARI TRIES TO REGAIN HIS FOOTING, BUT IT’S TOO LATE; RULER HAS ALREADY FIGURED IT OUT, PICKING AKARI UP FROM THE GROUND TO HIS FEET!… BRAINBUSTER IN THE CENTER OF THE RING! RULER HAS HIM AND HOOKS THE LEG!
ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Rich Russillo: SHOULDER UP AT TWO BY AKARI!
James Peters: But that doesn’t really say it’s going to slow Ruler down just a slight bit at this juncture! Ruler is already reaching for both feet again!
Rich Russillo: He is also picking Akari right back from the ground into the familiar position that we all know well for him!…. BLOODRAYNE MAKER!
James Peters: THE BLOODRAYNE HOWEVER WON’T DAMPEN THE PARADE AKARI IS CURRENTLY LEADING. WITH A SWIFT FLIP UNDER THE ARM, HE LANDS GRACEFULLY ON BOTH FEET IN FRONT OF RULER… A JUMPING KNEE SMASH SENDS RULER STAGGERING BACK TOWARDS THE ROPES!
Rich Russillo: BACKING FROM THE ROPES AS RULER ATTEMPTS A LIFTING KNEE STRIKE, BUT AKARI CATCHES THE KNEE!… TRANSITIONS INTO A CRADLE SUPLEX, FIRMLY PLANTING RULER AT THE CENTER OF THE RING! RULER FINDS HIMSELF DOWN ONCE MORE!
James Peters: AKARI IS GAINING MOMENTUM AGAINST RULER THIS TIME, HOPPING UP TO THE SECOND ROPE! RULER IS NOWHERE CLOSE TO SURVIVING AT THIS POINT!
Rich Russillo: AKARI HAS IT LOCKED IN READY TO FLY OFF!… SHE LEAPS OFF FOR RACE AGAINST TIME!!!!!!!!!!- NOOOOOOO!
James Peters: NO! INSTEAD OF A DIVING SENTON, HE LANDS RIGHT ON RULER’S KNEES!
Rich Russillo: RULER DISPLAYS AWARENESS, SAVING HIMSELF FROM FALLING FROM GRACE JUST IN TIME, AND AKARI NOW FACES THE BACK PROBLEM THAT RULER HAS EXECUTED AT THE NICK OF TIME AS A COUNTER!
James Peters: NOW HE LOOKS TO END THIS AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE BY HOISTING AKARI BACK ONTO THE GROUND AND LEAPING UP!… RULER ATTEMPTS THE SPACE CADE- HOW THE HELL DID AKARI PULL THAT OFF?!
Persephone: That’s nothing impressive.
Rich Russillo: AKARI SPRINGS OFF THE GROUND WITH LIGHTNING SPEED, USING A HANDSTAND FROM THE HURRICANRANA DRIVER TO PROPEL HIMSELF ONTO BOTH FEET AND THEN LEAPING ONTO THE SECOND ROPE INSTEAD!.. SPRINGBOARD REWIND BACKSTABBER!!!!!!
James Peters: OH MY GOD, HE DOES IT! KINGSLAYUH CONNECTS! RULER IS DOWN! THE CHANCES ARE RIGHT HERE! AKARI DROPS INTO A COVER!
ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
THREE!!!!!!!!-
James Peters: AKARI WITH A WIN!-
Rich Russillo: NO! NO! TWO COUNT! RULER MANAGES TO STAY ALIVE!
James Peters: Fire Spirit blazes and it’s engulfing the world in flames! Through Ruler’s relentless efforts, he still can’t seem to overcome Akari that is determined to push Ruler to his limits!
Rich Russillo: Akari refuses to let his momentum slip away, even after suffering a loss at Grand Rampage. Meanwhile, Ruler is striving to establish himself as a formidable singles competitor after winning in the tag team championship match against the British Invasion that is the match kept us on the edge of our seats with its cruelty and intensity that night.
Persephone: That match is fucking garbage and who tf care about British Invasion?
James Peters: RULER IS NOW TRYING TO GET TO HIS FEET, BUT AKARI IS ALREADY CLIMBING WAY UP TO THE TOP! HE’S SET OUT AGAIN TO PUT AN END TO THIS! AKARI TRIES TO LEAP OFF FOR A SECOND ATTEMPT OF RACE AGAINST TIME!!!!
Rich Russillo: RULER JUST TRIPS HIS LEGS OFF, CAUSING AKARI TO DROP DOWN TO THE SEATING POSITION WHILE HE WAS TRYING TO STAND TALL ON THE TOP!
James Peters: AKARI FINDS HIMSELF FACING INTENSE PRESSURE, AND THAT MAKES RULER SPRING UP THE SECOND ROW RIGHT AWAY, AND NOW HE’S SEIZING THE OPPORTUNITY TO SEND AKARI OFF THERE…
Rich Russillo: SUPERPLEX FROM THE TOP!… TRANSITIONING RIGHT INTO THE FALCON ARROW—NO!
James Peters: AKARI LANDS ON BOTH FEET AND LETS RULER HAVE A HOLD OF HIM TO REBOUND OFF THE GROUND RIGHT INTO THE SLICED BREAD #2!!!
Rich Russillo: WHAT THE HELL IS THAT COUNTER???? I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THAT IN MY LIFE, THAT WAS SUPER AWESOME SEEING AKARI KIKYO PULLING IT OFF JUST LIKE THAT AND MAKING IT WORK OUT EASILY!
James Peters: AKARI NOW CLIMBS UP AGAIN, AND HE’S HEADING TO THE TOP! AKARI IS NOW REACHING THE TOP ROPE! THIS TIME HE’S NOT LOOKING FOR A RACE AGAINST TIME!
Rich Russillo: HE TURNS HIS BACK FOR RULER! RULER IS STILL DOWN ON THE GROUND!… TALK WITH PEACE! WHAT A CORKSCREW MOONSAULT! A COVER! AKARI HAS HIM!
ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
THREE!!!!!!!!-
James Peters: THREE!-
Rich Russillo: WOAH! VERY CLOSE! VERY CLOSE! BUT IT’S STILL ONLY TWO!
James Peters: BUT THAT’S ALREADY DETERMINED FOR AKARI, HE’S SETTING OUT TO WIN THIS MATCH. THE CHANCES ARE RIGHT HERE FOR AKARI TO SEIZE THE VICTORY THAT HE’S AIMING TO ACHIEVE TONIGHT!
Persephone: He will lose anyway.
Rich Russillo: AKARI IS GOING TO THE TOP AGAIN, AND HE MIGHT AS WELL BE AIMING STRAIGHT FOR THE MOON, LOOKING TO FLY OFF THE HANDLE HERE ONCE MORE! RULER IS STILL DOWN ON THE GROUND!
James Peters: AKARI ISN’T SHOWING ANY MERCY OR ANY SIGNS OF SLOWING DOWN; HE HAS TO MAKE EVERY MINUTE AND SECOND COUNT WORTH IT HERE!…. RACE AGAINST TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rich Russillo: MISS! RULER HAS LEARNED FROM HIS PAST MISTAKES TO NOT FACE A RISKY DIVING MANEUVER THAT COULD TAKE HIM OUT OF THE EQUATION JUST RIGHT THERE!
James Peters: RULER’S REACHING FOR BOTH FEET! HE’S COMING OUT ON TOP, LOOKING TO QUICKLY END AKARI RIGHT THERE WITH REVOLUTIONER!!!!!!!!!
Rich Russillo: CAUGHT THE LEG! AKARI WITH A KICK RIGHT TO HIS GUT AND PUTTING HIM INTO HIS SHOULDERS! ENDLESS POSSIBILITIES ARE COMING THROUGH HERE!….
James Peters: RULER SWIFTLY POPPED OFF DOWN THE SIDE, AND AKARI, SEEING THAT IT’S NO GOOD FOR HIM TO GOT THERE AND THROWING THE ARM…. BUT RULER JUST CAUGHT HIM!… URANAGE SLAM!
Rich Russillo: HITTING AKARI RIGHT TO THE GROUND! RULER PICKS AKARI BACK UP FROM THE GROUND AND HE IMMEDIATELY PUTS AKARI FOR THE ONE FINAL ATTEMPT, PUSHING TOWARD THE END!… BLOODRAYNE MAKER!!!!!!!!!!!
James Peters: HE FINALLY DOES IT! SPIKING AKARI’S HEAD RIGHT TO THE GROUND! RULER ROLLS HIM OVER AND HERE’S A COVER!
ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!
( DING DING DING! )
Bella Braxton: HERE IS YOUR WINNER!…. RULER!
Persephone: I told you so.
James Peters: So much effort and hard work that Ruler put into it, but in the end, the Revolutionizer stands tall as the world-renowned leader, basking in the lights that he was seeking for. Ruler is once again picking up a victory in a singles competition and standing tall as the winner of this bout! Ruler with another victory within the palms of his hands as this officially becomes the first-ever Akari Kiyoko’s singles loss!
Rich Russillo: Even though this setback may seem discouraging for the Hopeful Soul, he’s still pushing Ruler to his very limits, urging him to do whatever it takes to come out on top. This means that even after a loss, Akari is still at the very top of his game, while Ruler emerges victorious and carries forward with the momentum so it’s not a bad outcome for both men, as long as they are able to maintain this level of performance from here on. Regardless, congratulations to Ruler for seizing another victory here tonight!
Persephone: Anywho, the match is over. That’s all we need.
( ‘Prices’ by Lil Uzi Vert hits as Ruler receives his EAW Unified Tag Team championship, standing tall as the winner of this match, raising his arm high with the referee’s assistance. Ruler sits back, gazes down at his title, while Akari stands on the outside, visibly disheartened by the outcome before Voltage fades into a commercial break. )
(Promotional ad for Fighting Spirit, where Minerva defends the Universal Women’s Championship against Harper Lee.)
( Sunday Night Voltage continues as the crowd here in the Crypto.com Arena is still excited for what’s in store later tonight on the show, with Holly Arrow battling against Donovan Duke, Luis De La Rosa battling against Cornelius, and Roberto De La Rosa hosting an Open Challenge for the EAW Hardcore Championship. Right now though, ‘Good For Her’ by MOTHICA would begin to blast through the PA System, with Cameron Ella Ava making her presence felt making her way out from the backstage area. She would get a very positive reaction from the crowd here tonight as she makes her way down the aisle. )
Bella Braxton: LADIES AND GENTLEMEN…PLEASE WELCOME AT THIS TIME… EAW HALL OF FAMER!!!!!!!!!!!! THE SERPENT…CAMERON ELLA AVA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rich Russillo: Cameron doesn’t look all too happy considering everything she was looking to accomplish at the Grand Rampage Marquee Event and more specifically the Grand Rampage match. She wasn’t able to come out victorious and get the main event slot of Pain For Pride as she ended up eliminated by her own flesh and blood in Ms. Extreme. I’m sure Cameron has a lot to say regarding last week, and if anything, I know she’s not going to be very receptive to the idea of missing out on a World Championship shot on the biggest show of the Season.
James Peters: As much as Cameron may be disappointed in herself for not winning last week, that doesn’t take away from the fact that she had a great performance in the match itself, scoring three eliminations and managing to get to the finals even before being eliminated. While it may not have been the win she was looking for, she did great regardless in the match and she certainly shouldn’t be ashamed of herself, Grand Rampage just wasn’t her night to win it.
Persephone: Oh shut up, James! Do you hear yourself right now? Who the fuck cares if she was the 7th person left, all that matter is if you win the Grand Rampage or you don’t. No one cares about graphs during a hoop conversion!
James Peters: But this isn’t a hoop conversion though, this is professional wrestling we look at the stats, analytics, and th-
Persephone: NERDDDDDD!!!
( Cameron continues to make her way down to the ring, climbing the ring steps and entering through the ropes. She would ask a ringside official for a microphone which she got as she stood in the middle of the ring. Her music begins to fade in the arena as she hears the fans in the arena here tonight in Los Angeles before beginning to speak! )
Cameron Ella Ava: I feel very conflicted on what transpired last Sunday, and how much I wanted to win the Grand Rampage match. I had it all mapped out in my mind how I was going to outlast 29 other Elitists and make my mark and headline Pain for Pride for yet another time in my career, challenge for the World Championship yet another time in my career, and become a World Champion like I have many times before, and this time it could have been even sweeter with last week’s victory. Instead, that’s not what happened. I eliminated three people from the match, I felt as though everything was going my way, until just like that, I was out of the match, and both my feet hit the ground on the outside. Camille managed to eliminate me, and do I exactly blame her? No, good for her. It’s just a disappointing feeling for sure, things didn’t go exactly how I envisioned it going, but that’s just how life is right?
Cameron Ella Ava: Not everything goes the way you expect, and not everything is going to line up with the dreams and goals that you hope for, as a woman who has seen her fair share of success, I understand that’s how things go around here, but I can feel disappointed that I wasn’t able to win it all and earn myself that Championship main event match at Pain for Pride. This entire Season is coming to an end pretty soon and with just one more Marquee Event before Pain for Pride, Grand Rampage was a huge opportunity to make it back to the EAW World Championship. An opportunity that I’ve had twice this season: once against Drake and the other against five other Elitists in the Extreme Elimination Chamber. A win like that could have been a huge opportunity for me, and it could have been that chance. But again, I came up short.
Cameron Ella Ava: Again, as disappointed as I am for not winning the Grand Rampage, you best believe this isn’t going to detract me in any way shape, or form. I won’t let this stop me from ending this Season on a high note, a road that can still be paved with success somehow. I won’t let Grand Rampage defeat me, and we still have a good little while before Pain for Pride, so I’m going to make sure that this Season of mine ends greatly, I can promise you that much-
( Before Cameron could say anything else, ‘Live and Let Die’ by Paul McCartney and Wings would start playing in the arena as the crowd here in LA began to pour the arena in boos. It’s none other than Jack Ripley as he makes his way to the ring. Jack’s music would quickly fade out as Jack already had a microphone in hand. He continues to make his way to the ring as she speaks to Cameron Ella Ava. )
Jack Ripley: Cameron, are you serious right now? You should stop making these false promises and declarations. It’s kind of embarrassing right now because back when Voltage was in Chicago a couple of weeks back, you told me that you planned on winning the whole thing, main eventing Pain for Pride because no other Elitist can kill your ambition. You wanted yet another shot at the World Title when we all knew when Cameron goes for the stars, she fails embarrassingly. The sad thing is, you really thought you were going to win.
( Jack makes his way through the aisle and walks up the ring steps, proceeding to enter through the ropes as he and Cameron are now in the ring together. The crowd is booing Jack for what he is saying as he continues to speak. )
Jack Ripley: All Season long Cameron, you have wasted everyone’s time in this arena and many other arenas around the world about the same story. That you were going to win the world title but time after time after making all those promises, all those statements that you have said, like the one you’re claiming right now… you do all that just to constantly fail. Yet somehow, somehow you thought your luck was going to change last Sunday? You thought things were gonna finally go your way and you end up heading to Pain for Pride with a World Title match???
(Jack ends up letting out a laugh as the rest of the arena is not impressed with what Jack is saying right now. Cameron doesn’t look all too amused either as Jack regains his composure and continues to speak. )
Jack Ripley: You can do whatever you want about being a trailblazer but the fact of the matter is Cameron, you are not as good as you think you are. You were never going to end this Season as World Champion, it’s all just false hope that one day you can come back to being a World Championship status performer, and be the top woman of a brand, but once again, it’s false hope that you believed way too much in.
Cameron Ella Ava: False hope? You’re the one to talk Jack, because if I recall correctly, you have been trying for the past couple of years to go back to the time you were Answers World Champion, as a matter of fact… ANY Championship! You were looking for that taste of glory just as much as me, and no matter what the attitude change is, no matter the narrative that you want to present yourself, you haven’t even come close to getting that.
Jack Ripley: Very typical of you Cameron, when I say the truth you turn around and spin it to make it all about me. You deflect the words I have said to you because you know I’m telling the truth about you.
Cameron Ella Ava: Yet you’re the one to talk! You have the balls to say that I’m not as good as I think I am but yet that same statement can be applied to you Jack. You know I’m sick of this garbage, I’ve had enough with this begrudging tension we have with one another. So how about this Jack… you and me one on one! We have a match between us to finally settle things once and for all.
( The crowd cheers for this as Jack responds back to Cameron by saying… )
Jack Ripley: Yeah sure. I’m up for it Cameron and hey… it’ll be nice knocking you down a peg this close to Pain For Pride. I’m sure that high note that you want this Season to end is going to leave you massively disappointed.
(Jack drops his microphone as he leaves the ring. A match between those is officially set! )
Rich Russillo: It looks like Cameron Ella Ava and Jack Ripley are going to finally settle the score once and for all and have a singles match between themselves.
Persephone: Thank fucking god.
( Jack is at the stage as he and Cameron share a stare-off with one another as Sunday Night Voltage fades out. )
(Promotional ad for Fighting Spirit, where NICHOLISM defends the Unified Tag Team Championships against the Jaded Hearts.)
(The camera returns to the ring where Bella Braxton is standing and ready to begin the introductions for the next match.)
Bella Braxton: Ladies and gentlemen, this next contest is scheduled for ONE FALL!
Crowd: ONE FALL!
(‘Bad Girls’ by M.I.A starts playing as Valerie Hellstorm enters the arena to a positive reaction from the crowd. She is ready for action, but she is moving just a little bit slower than normal as she heads to the ring thanks to the damage she took at Grand Rampage.)
Bella Braxton: Introducing first and making her way to the ring. From Las Vegas, Nevada! Weighing 135 pounds. Here is “REBEL ROSE” VALERIE HELLSTORM!
James Peters: Here comes Valerie Hellstorm and it looks like she might be feeling the effects of her match last week at Grand Rampage when she challenged for the Hardcore Title.
Persephone: Dumb bitch lost. Whoop de do. What else is new?
Rich Russillo: Regardless of how she might feel physically, she is going to have to bring the fight against her opponent tonight who is not in the best of moods.
(Valerie enters the ring a little gingerly as she takes her corner and starts preparing for her match. Seconds later, ‘Dream In Drive’ by Oral Cigarettes starts to play and Hikari Kanno enters the arena. She has a look of strict business on her face as she walks out to the stage. Hikari doesn’t waste much time, soon after beginning to walk down the ramp, heading to the ring. )
Bella Braxton: Introducing her opponent! From Okinawa, Japan! Weighing 121 pounds. Here is “THE DREAMING IDOL” HIKARI KANNO!
Rich Russillo: Here comes Hikari Kanno and she is no doubt still very annoyed about what happened at Grand Rampage. She is looking to get back on track after what happened at Grand Rampage herself.
Persephone: So what? She lost the match because of a bad call. Big deal. She doesn’t get to replay the match over again. Get over it, bitch.
James Peters: She can get over it, but it doesn’t take away from the fact of how the end of the match went down against Harper. Tonight she is looking to get back on the winning path by defeating Valerie. Who will leave victorious? We’re about to find out.
(Hikari enters the ring and takes her corner as her entrance music slowly fades off. The referee checks both competitors before calling for the bell.)
(DING! DING! DING!)
James Peters: The bell has rung and this match is underway. Hikari and Valerie lock up in the center of the ring and it is the fresher Hikari Kanno who takes the early advantage with a side headlock.
Persephone: I don’t understand why everybody has to start these matches with this chain wrestling crap. Why can’t they just start the match by beating the hell out of each other. It would make these matches much more tolerable.
Rich Russillo: As Persephone was venting her frustrations, Hikari managed to take Valerie down to the mat AND NOW VALERIE HAS A HEADSCISSORS APPLIED! Hikari rolls Valerie onto her back–
Persephone: Hikari jumps over and tries to get a jackknife rollup applied, but there’s no count because Valerie breaks the bridge and prevents the cover. Yawn!
James Peters: BUT LOOK AT THE POWER FROM VALERIE EARLY ON AS SHE BRIDGES UP WITH HIKARI IN HER GRASP AND BOTH LADIES ARE BACK TO THEIR FEET!
Rich Russillo: Hikari tries to fire a kick BUT VALERIE DUCKS IT! Hikari doesn’t waste time AND SHE STARTS CLOBBERING VALERIE’S LOWER BACK AND BRINGING HER TO HER KNEES!
James Peters: Valerie took some damage to her back at Grand Rampage so that is going to be a target in this match and Hikari knows it. Valerie is on her knees AND HIKARI FIRES A THRUST KICK–
Persephone: AND IT CATCHES HER RIGHT IN THE FACE! I hope that bitch was knocked out cold as she is rolled over for the cover!
ONNNNNNNNNNNNNEEEEE!
TWWWWWWWWWOOOOOO!
THHHHHH—
Rich Russillo: VALERIE KICKS OUT AT TWO AND HIKARI IS STAYING ON THE ATTACK WITH THE KNEE STRIKES TO THE BACK! HIKARI IS NOT PLAYING AROUND IN THIS MATCH!
James Peters: Hikari is no doubt angry after losing the way she did at Grand Rampage, but even if she won the match, Hikari is a very ruthless and dangerous competitor.
Persephone: Now that the bitch knows about the other bitch’s back pain, a bullseye just appeared and is saying “please beat the shit out of my back”. I hope this match doesn’t take long because I wanna see my Luis beat the hell out of that old fuck.
Rich Russillo: I agree with most of what you said. Not the part about Luis, but the rest is true. Now that Hikari knows about the back damage, Hikari is going to exploit that as much as she can… like she is right now.
Persephone: See. I can do more than talk about Luis. I am good at what I do. It’s just that these idiots give me nothing complimentary to say.
James Peters: Hikari pulls Valerie back to her feet and sends her to the ropes. Valerie with the rebound as HIKARI GRABS HER FOR A BACKBREAKER, BUT VALERIE GETS HER LEGS AROUND HIKARI’S NECK AND COUNTERS WITH A HEADSCISSOR TAKEOVER!
Rich Russillo: Hikari sent for the ride to the other side of the ring. Hikari is back to her feet AND VALERIE FOLLOWS UP WITH A DISCUS CLOTHESLINE THAT TAKES HIKARI DOWN TO THE MAT!
James Peters: Valerie finally getting some offense in the match as she gets on Hikari AND JUST STARTS THROWING PUNCHES! LEFTS AND RIGHTS ARE FLYING AS HIKARI IS TRYING TO BLOCK AS MANY PUNCHES AS SHE CAN!
Persephone: Then we have that stupid referee who comes in and starts a count. Why? Because we have one bitch trying to punch out another bitch? I don’t think that’s a reason for the referee to finally start doing their job.
Rich Russillo: This isn’t a deathmatch, Persephone. There is structure in this match and the referee has reached four on the count and Valerie stops the punches or she would have been disqualified on five.
James Peters: Valerie brings Hikari back to her feet before picking her up AND SLAMMING HER DOWN ON THE MAT! Hikari is down on the mat once more and Valerie is dragging Hikari to the corner.
Persephone: Now this bitch is climbing onto the second rope. She doesn’t really fly that much, so why the hell is she choosing to start now? This is going to be a disaster. I just know it. Let’s see her fuck this up.
Rich Russillo: Valerie is on the second rope BEFORE SHE JUMPS OFF THE SECOND ROPE AND HITS THE LEG DROP ACROSS THE THROAT! DIRECT HIT FROM VALERIE AS SHE MOVES INTO THE COVER!
ONNNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEE!
TWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOO!
TH–
Persephone: YAY! HIKARI KICKS OUT! This is the most exciting match I have ever seen in my life. I hope this match never ends. We are so grateful to be here right now watching this and NOT Luis De La Rosa.
James Peters: Well there’s the sarcasm that we know and love. Valerie is still on the offensive as she whips Hikari into the corner. Valerie backs away from the corner BEFORE RUNNING BACK TOWARDS HIKARI AT FULL SPEED–
Rich Russillo: VALERIE WITH THE HELLUVA KICK! VALERIE’S BOOT GOES RIGHT INTO HIKARI’S FACE! Hikari stumbles out of the corner and Valerie spins her around AND TRIES FOR THE BACKSTABBER–
James Peters: HIKARI HELD ONTO THE ROPES AND VALERIE FALLS TO THE MAT! RIGHT ON HER ALREADY HURTING BACK! Great ring awareness by the former Hardcore Champion.
Persephone: You can enjoy the ring awareness. I will enjoy the fact that Valerie made an ass out of herself with that little stunt. Let this match end soon.
Rich Russillo: Hikari rolls Valerie onto her stomach AND SHE DROPS HER ELBOW RIGHT ON VALERIE’S LOWER BACK! HIKARI IS JUST DRIVING THE POINT OF HER ELBOW RIGHT INTO VALERIE’S BACK!
James Peters: A lot of Valerie’s offense involves that back strength and if that happens, it is going to be extremely difficult for her to win this match.
Persephone: Just break the bitch’s back and end the match. We all know this is what everybody wants. Just give up Valerie.
Rich Russillo: Speak for yourself, my darling. Because I don’t think anybody wants to see Valerie or Hikari just give up.
Persephone: Shut up, Rich, and stop with the damn pet names because unless your name is Luis De La Rosa you can’t do that shit. Pervert.
James Peters: Will you calm down? Rich means that Valerie and Hikari have proven on numerous occasions that they will fight until the very end regardless of how much pain they are in.
Rich Russillo: Exactly. Right now, Hikari has brought Valerie back on her feet AND HIKARI TRIES FOR A GERMAN SUPLEX—
James Peters: VALERIE LANDS ON HER FEET BEHIND HIKARI! Hikari tries to throw another thrust kick to Valerie, BUT VALERIE GETS OUT OF THE WAY AND GRABS HIKARI’S HEAD!
Persephone: Yay! The reversal game. My favorite game to play in public. I am so excited to have to watch this game again. How ridiculous.
Rich Russillo: Valerie has Hikari locked up AS SHE RUNS TO THE CORNER! VALERIE RUNS UP THE TURNBUCKLES AND FLIPS BACK BEFORE DRIVING HIKARI DOWN WITH THE SLICED BREAD #2!
James Peters: Even with the back pain, Valerie is putting up a hell of a fight and she is taking it to the former Hardcore Champion like she did against the reigning Hardcore Champion at Grand Rampage.
Persephone: Yeah like that went really for her last week because she certainly isn’t the Hardcore Champion right now.
Rich Russillo: You are so hateful sometimes. You need to be a little bit nicer to the wrestlers.
Persephone: I am nice… to the ones that deserve it. What’s your point?
James Peters: There’s no changing her mind, Rich, so let’s get back to the match. Valerie has Hikari back on her feet before doubling her over AND LIFTING HER OVER HER SHOULDER!
Rich Russillo: Hikari’s legs are wrapped around Valerie’s waist and she is trying to get her hands in position for what looks like the Widow’s Peak, BUT HIKARI GETS FREE–
James Peters: HIKARI ROLLS DOWN AND IS TRYING TO TAKE VALERIE DOWN WITH A SUNSET FLIP, BUT VALERIE IS KEEPING HER BALANCE! VALERIE IS STARTING TO MUSTER UP SOME POWER AND WALK TOWARDS THE ROPES!
Persephone: Why are these two trying so hard? Just to advance over the other, right? Because gawd knows that neither of these two will ever have the talent and looks like Luis De La Rosa.
Rich Russillo: Valerie reaches the ropes and that prevents Hikari from taking her down. VALERIE TRIES TO DROP DOWN ON HIKARI’S THROAT, BUT HIKARI ROLLS OUT OF THE WAY!
James Peters: Not a good landing for Valerie as she won’t be spraining any ankles with where she landed as she tries to get back to her feet.
Persephone: She’s fine. She didn’t land on her head so she won’t get any stupider. Bless her heart.
James Peters: She might be back on her feet, BUT HIKARI WAS WAITING FOR HER AS SHE GRABS HOLD OF VALERIE BEFORE TAKING HER UP AND OVER WITH THAT SNAP SAITO SUPLEX! HIKARI QUICKLY BRIDGES UP AND HAS HER IN A PINNING SITUATION!
ONNNNNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEE!
TWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOO!
THHHHHHHRRRRRREEEEEEE-
Persephone: Oh goody! Valerie kicked out. My heart is filled with the happiness of knowing that this match will continue. I think it might explode… damn it.
Rich Russillo: Valerie landed hard once again on her back AND NOW HIKARI HAS HER IN A BOSTON CRAB! SUBMISSION APPLIED AS HIKARI DRAGS HER TO THE CENTER OF THE RING!
Persephone: Valerie should do herself a favor and submit. She has already proved that she has no brains when she chose to leave La Familia. Then I would have been able to tolerate her a little more since she would have been close to my sexy Luis.
James Peters: The submission is in deep as Valerie is no doubt in a lot of pain. THE REFEREE IS RIGHT THERE CHECKING TO SEE IF VALERIE WANTS TO GIVE IT UP!
Rich Russillo: SHE’S TELLING THE REFEREE NO! HIKARI HAS A LOT OF PRESSURE ON VALERIE’S LOWER BACK! VALERIE NEEDS TO DO SOMETHING OR THIS MATCH MIGHT BE OVER!
James Peters: VALERIE IS FIGHTING BACK! VALERIE IS USING WHATEVER STRENGTH SHE CAN MUSTER! VALERIE IS FIGHTING THROUGH THE PAIN TO GET TO THE ROPES!
Persephone: OH JUST TAP OUT!! There is no need for her to put herself through this humiliation. Just give up and fight another day. Or never.
Rich Russillo: LOOK AT VALERIE GO! VALERIE IS SCRATCHING AND CLAWING HER WAY TO THE ROPES IN THE HOPES OF GETTING A ROPE BREAK! SHE’S ONLY A FEW INCHES AWAY—
James Peters: SHE GOT TO THE ROPES! VALERIE FOUGHT THROUGH THE PAIN OF THE BOSTON CRAB AND NOW HIKARI HAS TO BREAK THE HOLD!!
Persephone: LOOK! The referee was doing their job for once and was telling that bitch Hikari to let the submission go AND THAT BIMBO VALERIE SOMEHOW ROLLS FORWARD AND SENDS HIKARI BACK!
Rich Russillo: She did alright and sent her back into the ropes! VALERIE IS STILL ON THE MAT AS SHE REACHES UP AND PULLS HIKARI FORWARD INTO A ROLL UP! IT LOOKS LIKE A MODIFIED INSIDE CRADLE, BUT HIKARI’S SHOULDERS ARE DOWN!
ONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNEEEEE!
TWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOO!
THHHHHHHRRRRRRREEEEEEE!
Persephone: BAHAHAHAHA! Hikari kicked out, but seeing that dumb bitch getting beat by a rollup would have been the most hilarious thing that I would have seen tonight.
James Peters: Valerie was dangerously close to stealing the match right there, but give Valerie credit for coming up with that move out of nowhere. Right now, both women are making it back to their feet.
Rich Russillo: Hikari is back on her feet first and she uses a double leg takedown to take Valerie back to the mat. Hikari has hold of Valerie’s legs BEFORE FALLING BACK–
James Peters: HIKARI WITH A SLINGSHOT SENDS VALERIE OVER THE TOP ROPE AND RIGHT TO THE FLOOR! Valerie’s back caught the edge of the ring before she hit the floor and she is holding her back.
Persephone: If she is in that much pain, why doesn’t she just quit now? Why does she need to keep going and possibly put her career in jeopardy?
James Peters: You would have to ask that question to everybody else on the EAW Roster because all of them would fight through the pain. They are willing to take that risk.
Persephone: Yeah yeah whatever.
Rich Russillo: Hikari rolls outside the ring and she grabs Valerie and puts her arm in a high hammerlock BEFORE SHE BACKS HER RIGHT UP AND SENDS HER SPINE FIRST INTO THE RING POST!
Persephone: If she wants to win this match so badly, then she needs to stop being a damn punching bag and fight back.
James Peters: Hikari still has hold of Valerie before she rolls Valerie back into the ring before following suit. Valerie is starting to move after the meeting with the ringpost, but HIKARI HAS THE GUTWRENCH APPLIED!
Rich Russillo: HIKARI WITH SOME POWER ON DISPLAY AS SHE LIFTS VALERIE UP WITH THE GUTWRENCH BEFORE SPIKING HER DOWN WITH THE “KANNO SUPER BUSTER”!
James Peters: GUTWRENCH SITOUT POWERBOMB FINDS ITS MARK AND VALERIE ONCE AGAIN LANDS HARD ON THAT INJURED BACK AS HIKARI STACKS HER UP FOR THE COVER!
ONNNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEE!
TWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOO!
THHHHHHHRRRRREEEEEEEEE!
Persephone: OH MY GAWD! OH COME ON WHY?
James Peters: VALERIE KICKED OUT! HIKARI HAD HER STACKED UP THAT PUT MORE PRESSURE ON HER BACK AND SHE KICKED OUT ONCE AGAIN! HOLY CRAP! WHAT A MATCH!
Persephone: Yes. This match is such a sight to see. Sadly, my sight has to keep watching this even though I’d much rather see my Luis.
Rich Russillo: That was a very close near fall and Valerie is barely moving on the mat right now after being planted with that powerbomb!
Persephone: Just because they want to make this match go even longer than we care for it to go, dumb bitch Hikari picks up Valerie and brings her back on her feet.
James Peters: Now Hikari has Valerie on her shoulders in the fireman’s carry AND HIKARI IS SETTING HER UP FOR THE HITODENASHI DRIVER–
Rich Russillo: HIKARI WAS TRYING TO GO FOR THE HITODENASHI DRIVER BUT VALERIE IS FIRING ELBOWS INTO THE SIDE OF HIKARI’S SKULL TRYING TO MAKE HER LOSE HER BALANCE!
James Peters: SHE DIDN’T LOSE HER BALANCE, BUT SHE LOST HER GRIP ON VALERIE AND VALERIE IS ABLE TO GET FREE AND SLIDE OFF HIKARI’S SHOULDERS!
Persephone: This is outstanding! Another reversal in this match. What’s the count up to now? About 700 or something?
James Peters: It’s not that much. If it was a Luis De La Rosa match, you sure as hell wouldn’t be complaining as much as you have been without him.
Persephone: Well, duh. That’s because my love is the best wrestler on the roster. Any match that he takes part in is like a Match of the Year Candidate. Get that through your thick skull.
Rich Russillo: As we get back to the match, Valerie slid off of Hikari’s back. Hikari turns around AND VALERIE WAS RIGHT THERE WAITING WITH A SUPERKICK THAT FOUND ITS MARK RIGHT ON HIKARI’S JAW!
Persephone: What an idiot! She kicked the bitch in the head and that’s the safest place to kick since there is nothing in their heads to begin with. Not only that, she is still standing.
James Peters: Hikari is still standing as she falls back and hits the ropes. Hikari bounces back AND VALERIE HITS ANOTHER DISCUS CLOTHESLINE!
Rich Russillo: BEFORE HIKARI COULD FALLS BACK AGAIN, VALERIE GRABS HIKARI BY THE WRIST AND PULLS HER INTO THE “ORA ORA RUSH”! RIPCORD KNEES FINDS ITS MARK IN HIKARI’S FACE!
James Peters: HIKARI FALLS TO THE MAT AND SHE COULD HAVE BEEN KNOCKED OUT AS VALERIE FALLS TO THE MAT AS WELL! VALERIE IS HOLDING HER BACK AS SHE CRAWLS HER WAY TO THE COVER!
ONNNNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEE!
TWWWWWWWWWWWOOOOO!
THHHHHHHRRRRRRREEEEEE!
Persephone: She kicked out at two. What a shock. Looks like this match must continue. Good for us.
James Peters: That was a very close near fall right there, but Hikari kicked out at the last possible moment. If Valerie wasn’t in so much pain because of her back. Then this match would have been over.
Rich Russillo: The back damage Valerie has taken in this match caused that last cover to be delayed a few seconds.
Persephone: How heartbreaking.
James Peters: Valerie has hold of Hikari and brings her back on her feet. Valerie looks to want to finish this match right now AS VALERIE GETS HIKARI ON HER SHOULDERS! EVEN WITH THE BACK PAIN, SHE IS GOING FOR IT ALL RIGHT HERE!
Rich Russillo: VALERIE IS FIGHTING THROUGH THE PAIN AS THEY ARE IN THE CENTER OF THE RING AND SHE IS GETTING HIKARI IN POSITION FOR THE “FINAL FLASH”!
Persephone: For the love of gawd! Don’t waste any more time and just hit the move so we can end the damn match. People who do this drive me absolutely CRAZY!
James Peters: Hikari is in trouble right now as Valerie is ready to put her to sleep with that dangerous Go To Sleep maneuver. HERE COMES THE “FINAL FLASH”–
Rich Russillo: VALERIE BUCKLED! VALERIE’S BACK HAS BEEN HURTING HER AND SHE JUST COULDN’T HOLD HIKARI UP LONG ENOUGH FOR HER TO EXECUTE THE GTS!
James Peters: Hikari is able to get off of Valerie’s shoulders. Hikari lands behind Valerie AND HIKARI DELIVERS A STRAIGHT KICK TO THE BACK OF VALERIE’S KNEECAP!
Persephone: Oh gawd! Here we go with more boredom and this match just won’t end. Whatever.
Rich Russillo: Valerie has dropped to her knees as Hikari hits the ropes. Hikari comes back AND SHE CLOCKS VALERIE IN THE BACK OF THE HEAD WITH “DREAMER TIL THE END”! DIRECT HIT!
James Peters: BICYCLE KNEE STRIKE RIGHT TO THE BACK OF THE HEAD AND VALERIE FALLS TO THE MAT LIKE A STONE! SHE HAD TO HAVE BEEN KNOCKED OUT COLD FROM THE STRIKE AS HIKARI ROLLS VALERIE OVER FOR THE COVER!
ONNNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEE!
TWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOO!
THHHHHHHRRRRRREEEEEEEE!
(DING! DING! DING!)
(‘Dream In Drive’ starts playing again as Hikari slowly rolls off of Valerie and takes a moment to catch her breath as Bella Braxton announces the final decision of the match.)
Bella Braxton: Here is your winner… HIKARI KANNO!
James Peters: What a great match that we just witnessed right now. Both women fought their hearts out during this match. They both wanted the win and unfortunately only one could win tonight.
Persephone: Big deal. There is always going to be a winner and going to be a loser. Hikari won. Valerie lost. Let’s move on with the show.
(Hikari is back to her feet as the referee raises her arm in victory before going to check on Valerie. Hikari takes one last look at her opponent before she leaves the ring and heads up the entrance ramp.)
Rich Russillo: How could you say it like that? Hikari won the match, yes. But you gotta give it up to Valerie in this match. She was no doubt still feeling pain from Grand Rampage and even through that, she was close to winning the match at multiple moments.
Persephone: Yeah yeah. Blah blah blah. She fought hard, but she lost. Blah blah blah. How about we hurry up because I want to see my sexy Luis.
James Peters: Valerie fought through the pain, but it just wasn’t enough. Tonight’s match belongs to Hikari Kanno. Congratulations once again to Hikari Kanno on the victory.
(The final shot shows Hikari standing at the top of the entrance ramp soaking in the victory before it cuts to Valerie sitting on the mat looking disappointed that she couldn’t get the victory tonight as the camera cuts elsewhere.)
(Commercial for the new Fallout series with KASAI and Jon Kelton.)
(Voltage returns to ringside, and after a few seconds, ‘Blood, Milk & Sky’ by White Zombie hits. The crowd explodes as the camera pans towards the stage, and eventually, the Universal Women’s Champion begins walking out to the stage. Minerva is holding a microphone in her hand, and she doesn’t look too pleased following the attack that occurred after her match against Holly Arrow at Grand Rampage. Minerva walks down the ramp, heading to the ring as the fans continue cheering.)
James Peters: Minerva is making her way to the ring, and she had her third successful title defense at Grand Rampage after defeating Holly Arrow. However, she’d be attacked soon after by Harper Lee, who seems to be her next challenger. Minerva not being given even a second to breathe it looks like!
Rich Russillo: Let’s not forget what happened on Dynasty, as Milli Banks has chosen to fight for the Universal Women’s Championship at Pain for Pride! No matter who wins at Fighting Spirit, there’s already another challenger lined up for another huge match!
Persephone: And of all the potential matchups, absolutely none of them are interesting. Can we just give Veena a shot at the title? Or we could just give Luis a World Championship match to make up for this.
(Minerva walks up the steel steps, before entering the ring. Minerva walks into the center of the ring, and ‘Blood, Milk & Sky’ fades out soon after. Right after this, Minerva begins to speak.)
Minerva: I’d have liked to take a moment to talk about this Universal Women’s Championship, and just how important this title really is. Holly Arrow gave me a fight. I was promised a war and she delivered, so while she failed to take this Championship from me, I have nothing negative to say to her. I also know that Milli Banks has set her sights on my Championship, and once I make it past Fighting Spirit it looks like she’ll be who I meet at Pain for Pride. However… Right now I’m not here to speak about neither Grand Rampage nor Pain for Pride. I’m here to talk about Fighting Spirit, because for some reason my next challenger decided that the best way for her to reveal herself was to attack me. That’s right. At Fighting Spirit I’ll be defending my Universal Women’s Championship, and my opponent will be Harper Lee.
(The crowd begins to boo at the mention of Harper’s name, and Minerva continues to speak.)
Minerva: To be honest, it didn’t matter to me who my next challenger was. I don’t need to repeat this, but I’ve always been the kind of Champion that’s willing to fight anyone and everyone regardless of who you are or what you’ve done. I knew that the match between Harper Lee and Hikari Kanno had that Championship opportunity on the line so maybe I should’ve expected Harper to go straight for me, but that isn’t my issue. The problem is that Harper decided that the best way for her to make her presence known was to attack me after my match against Holly, as if she needed to send a message. She already beat Hikari. She got what she wanted, yet this is how she felt she needed to approach me. Well Harper, the time and place has already been set, and before you get any bright ideas just understand that like everyone else before you, you’re going to fail at Fighting Spirit. You won’t be taking this Championship from me. You won’t be the one walking into Pain for Pride with this title. If you don’t understand that now, maybe you can come out here so I can help you out.
(Minerva waits as the fans cheer, and before long, ‘Sweet Dreams’ by Eurythmics does hit. The crowd is filled with boos as Harper Lee walks out, and Harper has a smirk on her face as she stares at Minerva, clearly proud of what she did last week at Grand Rampage. Harper is also seen holding a microphone in her hand as she begins making her way down to the ring. Minerva patiently waits in the ring, allowing Harper to walk down the ramp and join her in the ring.)
James Peters: Here comes Harper Lee, and it looks like she doesn’t have any regrets after Grand Rampage. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised. After all, not only did she win her match, but she sent a message to the Universal Women’s Champion and took out her former partner Holly in the process.
Rich Russillo: Harper had a good week, but now she’s dealing with Minerva without those sneak attacks involved. That confidence might not work too well in her favor right now.
Persephone: Ugh, just when I thought this couldn’t get any more annoying. Get her out of here!
(Harper Lee enters the ring, and ‘Sweet Dreams’ begins to fade out. The fans continue to boo once the music fades out, but Harper begins to speak.)
Harper Lee: Minerva, is this supposed to be some kind of joke, or do you really think that I’m afraid of you?
Minerva: Neither. I know how you operate, Harper. You obviously attacked me assuming that this title was yours, but my warning still stands. Whether or not you choose to listen is entirely on you.
Harper Lee: That’s cool and all, but I just don’t know who you think you’re fooling here, because it’s definitely not me. Maybe everyone else in the arena is buying into this idea that I’m not gonna beat you “like everyone else”, but in case you’ve forgotten, I am NOT like any of the other people you defended your title against. You’ve been putting your title on the line against career losers whose greatest heights were only a fraction of the things I’ve accomplished, and you think you can just group me with them? I’m not impressed by you beating someone like Holly Arrow who I basically gave an entire career to. The only small piece of success she ever found was when I was by her side, of course she lost now that I’m not there! Minerva, I’m not like the other losers you’ve been fighting. Unlike them, I’ve already held that Championship before. At Fighting Spirit, I just plan to take it back.
Minerva: Harper, if I was worried about what my opponent accomplished I wouldn’t be much of a fighting Champion, would I? It seems you’re forgetting a few key details, so I’ll gladly remind you that I won this Championship in the first place by defeating Kassidy Heart. I didn’t choose any of my challengers, they chose to come after me. There’s a reason I’ve always said that it didn’t matter who stepped up to me Harper, and it’s because I’m not limited to whatever my challenger has accomplished. I won this Championship because I was the best in this division, and I’ve spent my entire Championship reign continuing to prove that fact as not a single person has been able to defeat me. Usagi, ARIA, Holly, those are just three of the names who tried. You’ll be the fourth, and if you misheard my words earlier I’ll gladly spell things out for you. I have absolutely no doubts about how Fighting Spirit will play out. I’m going to defeat you, and at Pain for Pride I’ll take down Milli Banks as well.
Harper Lee: You might as well start changing those plans now, because you’re not making it to Pain for Pride with that Championship. I don’t know if you just forgot this or not, but had I not been screwed out of the Iconic Cup tournament you may not have even had the chance to fight Kassidy at Road to Redemption! Your entire Championship reign has been you benefiting off of the fact that I was screwed over by the Jaded Hearts and you were left with absolutely no competition. I mean come on. Miku Sakai? She was never gonna beat you, but you know who would’ve? Me! I would have back then, and I’m gonna do it now come Fighting Spirit. I’ve spent half of my season getting screwed out of opportunities at the Universal Women’s Championship. Opportunities that you were able to make the most of. Now that there’s nobody left in my way, I’m taking that Championship from you and I’m ending my season the way someone like me should be ending it. At the top.
(The fans boo, and for a moment, Minerva doesn’t say anything. However, a smirk appears on her face before she begins to answer.)
Minerva: You’ve definitely been trying to get your hands on the Universal Women’s Championship now, I can admit that. However, for as much as you talk about this, there’s one part of it you seem to constantly look over. You’re not just facing anyone here. You’re facing me. If you want this Universal Women’s Championship you’ll have to beat the best there is, and Harper you’re no stranger to lying for the sake of propping yourself up on a pedestal, but no matter what you have to say between now and Fighting Spirit, there is no chance you walk out of our match with my Championship. Since you clearly need a reality check, I’ll gladly be the one that forces you to realize that no matter how things played out for you this season, you were never going to hold this title. Even if you weren’t cost the Iconic Cup tournament, I’d be in your way. Even if you managed to defeat ARIA, even if Hikari Kanno didn’t attack you, I’d be the one you have to face. No matter what, I’M the one that walks out of this with this Championship. I’ve faced bigger threats than you all throughout my career. You won’t be the one to stop me.
(The fans loudly cheer, and there’s a brief staredown between the two, with both women now having a more serious look on their faces. After some time though, Harper begins to respond.)
Harper Lee: We’ll see about that, Minerva. Just don’t forget what happened to you next week. When we enter the ring at Fighting Spirit, the exact same thing is gonna happen, only this time I’m going to pin you, and take that Championship from you. It’s been way too long since I’ve held that title Minerva and with the way things are now this is probably the only chance I’ll have this entire season to take back my Championship, so I’m not letting this go to waste. One way or another I am beating you, and I’m getting what I deserve.
(This causes the fans to once again begin booing, but there’s a focused, and menacing look on Minerva’s face as she stares at Harper. She remains silent for a moment, before finally she begins to say a few words.)
Minerva: Don’t worry, Harper. I won’t forget what you did last week. You took the first shot, but I can guarantee that it won’t be you who hits the final one.
James Peters: WAIT A SECOND! THE DEVIL’S TOUCH BY MINERVA!!!!
Rich Russillo: MINERVA JUST KICKED HARPER LEE’S HEAD OFF HER SHOULDERS, DROPPING HER CHALLENGER TO THE MAT WEEKS BEFORE FIGHTING SPIRIT!!! I DON’T THINK HARPER EXPECTED THAT, BUT THAT JUST MEANS THAT SHE’S BEING GIVEN A TASTE OF HER OWN MEDICINE!!!!
James Peters: Minerva tosses her microphone onto the mat before dragging Harper back up into her arms, AND NOW MINERVA LIFTS HARPER UP, BEFORE DRIVING HER HEAD ONTO THE MAT WITH ATLAS FALLS!!!!! ATLAS FALLS CONNECTS ON HARPER LEE, AND AFTER LAST WEEK, YOU CAN’T SAY SHE DIDN’T ASK FOR THIS! A HUGE MESSAGE SENT BY THE UNIVERSAL WOMEN’S CHAMPION, WHO GETS SOME PAYBACK FOLLOWING GRAND RAMPAGE!
Persephone: Can she kill her so we don’t have to see this match? That’d be nice!
James Peters: Well Minerva’s the type to welcome all challengers, so we knew she wouldn’t have a problem facing Harper Lee at Fighting Spirit! Harper may have made a mistake attacking Minerva last week though, as we all know Minerva has no issue getting her hands dirty!
Rich Russillo: Minerva stands tall over Harper Lee tonight, and already it looks like things are getting heated between these two, heading into their Universal Women’s Championship match at Fighting Spirit!
(With Harper Lee unconscious on the mat, ‘Blood, Milk & Sky’ begins to play once more. The fans in attendance are cheering, and Minerva stares down on Harper Lee with a serious look on her face. This lasts for a little while, before she looks up towards the crowd, raising up her Universal Women’s Championship as she stands over her challenger. From there, Voltage fades away from ringside.)
(Commercial for Friday Night Dynasty, where Methuselah faces Drake Armstrong.)
(‘Bad Romance’ by Lady Gaga begins to play through the speakers as Holly Arrow comes out from the back. While she may have wanted to win the Universal Women’s Championship, she’s not letting her loss at Grand Rampage get to her. Instead, she seems focused on getting back on track as she looks around the crowd with a smile on her face.)
Bella Braxton: THE FOLLOWING MATCH IS SCHEDULED FOR ONE FALL!!!!!!!
Crowd: ONE FALL!!!!!!!!
Bella Braxton: INTRODUCING FIRST…FROM AUCKLAND, NEW ZEALAND…SHE IS ‘THE SERAPH’…HOLLY ARROW!!!!!!!
James Peters: At Grand Rampage, Holly Arrow had an EXCELLENT match against Minerva for the Universal Women’s Champion! One of the best matches of the entire show! Probably one of her best matches since returning! The woman continued to amaze me as that match went on, but Minerva would go on to retain the title!
Rich Russillo: Holly Arrow is a future World Champion, James! Like, people can make fun of her inability to have a great friendship or all the shit that she’s been through with Jake Smith, but this woman is an amazing athlete. One of the strongest women that I have come across with. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for her as we head towards Pain for Pride!
Persephone: As long as it’s not getting in Luis’ way, I think that she’ll be fine. Unless she wants Luis De La Rosa to squish her like a bug, then, I’m more than fine with her. One less bitch on the roster to wrestle.
(‘I Rise’ by Cory Marks begins to play as the crowd continues to cheer as Donovan Duke walks out from the back feeling pumped up. While he fell short at winning Grand Rampage, he is trying to keep his spirits up high and continue moving forward. It’s what he’s always been known to do during these times.)
Bella Braxton: INTRODUCING HER OPPONENT…FROM STILLWATER, OKLAHOMA…WEIGHING AT THE WEIGHT OF 212 POUNDS… HE IS ‘THE OKLAHOMA STORM’…DONOVAN DUKE!!!!!!!!
James Peters: Donovan Duke had a nice showing at Grand Rampage. One of the most notable eliminations happened to be his own girlfriend — Mia Santoro.
Rich Russillo: It was a situation that we all played in our minds. But, Donovan Duke had established that he was going to be a bit more selfish in this situation. That’s exactly what he did. I don’t think there was a part of Mia that saw her to be an exception, but when you have become World Champion in your mind, nothing else matters.
Persephone: Donovan Duke did what’s best for him and for everyone else because there’s no way that that bitch lasted longer than Luis De La Rosa.
James Peters: Didn’t they show up in completely different times? 😐
Persephone: I don’t remember that kind of stuff, but I do remember that Luis was ROBBED from winning Grand Rampage! I will not live it down!
(DING! DING! DING!)
(Holly Arrow and Donovan Duke meet in the middle of the ring. Donovan extends a hand for Holly to shake. With almost no hesitation, Holly accepts the handshakes. The two Elitists showing a good sign of sportsmanship as that crowd seems to be on board with that.)
Rich Russillo: AND — DONOVAN DUKE PULLS HOLLY ARROW INTO A HEADLOCK! While there may be a sign of respect between these two, there’s also a competitive nature that needs to be established! Holly looks to grab Donovan by his leg as she lifts him up, but Donovan manages to keep his feet flat on the mat! He wrenches in the headlock, applying more pressure onto the hold! But, Holly manages to back Donovan to the ropes! Donovan rebounds off of those ropes, releasing the headlock as he runs to the set of ropes across from him! He rebounds off of them as Holly drops down to a plank position! BUT, DONOVAN HOPS RIGHT OVER HER! HE REBOUNDS OFF THOSE SET OF ROPES ONCE MORE AS HE SLIDES UNDERNEATH THE LEGS OF THE FORMER UNIFIED TAG TEAM CHAMPION! HE LOOKS TO CONNECT WITH A ROLL UP AND END THIS MATCH QUICKLY!
OOOOOOOONNNNNNNNEEEEEEEE!!!!!
TTTTWWWWW—
Persephone: It’s rather unfortunate that Holly Arrow decided to kick out! We’re not going to have much time for Luis’ match! I mean, while I expect nothing more than for Cornelius to get squashed like the roach he is, I figured that it would be fun to see Luis toil and torture him!
James Peters: Holly Arrow finds herself to a vertical base as Donovan Duke races back to his feet soon after! He goes to swing a punch at Holly — HOLLY WAS ABLE TO CATCH THE WRIST OF THE FORMER NATIONAL ELITE CHAMPION! THIS IS SIMILAR TO WHAT WE SAW HER DO TO MINERVA LAST WEEKEND AT GRAND RAMPAGE! BUT, IT SEEMS LIKE DONOVAN IS NOT GOING TO BE PHASED AS HE GOES TO CONNECT WITH A PUNCH USING HIS OTHER HAND! BUT, HOLLY MANAGES TO CATCH ONTO THAT WRIST AS WELL! WITH SOME INTENSE STRENGTH, HOLLY MANAGES TO THROW DONOVAN TO THE CORNER! HOLLY GOES RIGHT AFTER ‘THE STORM’ WITH A RUNNING UPPERCUT! But, Donovan manages to get himself out of the situation! Holly matches to catch herself by grasping onto the ropes before she could collide with the turnbuckle! Donovan tries to surprise her with an attack behind, but Holly manages to throw a back elbow to the face of Donovan as that takes him back!
Rich Russillo: Holly Arrow goes right after Donovan Duke with a giant axe handle as that takes down Donovan! But, Holly gestures for Donovan to get right back up to his feet as she lifts him up and connects with high angle uranage as that slams him directly to his spine! Then, Holly follows that up by connecting with a double foot stomp to the ribs of Donovan as that causes him to clutch to his stomach! Holly goes for a cover!
OOOOOOONNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!
TTT—
Persephone: Donovan Duke does the dumbest thing ever and kicks out! Like, he is taking much needed camera time from my sweet Luis! Holly Arrow finds herself back to her feet as she gets Donovan in a front headlock! We see that Holly is connecting with a series of stiff punches to the spine of Donovan as he gets down to one knee! Holly takes a step back before connecting with a vicious knee strike to the temple as that takes ‘The Oklahoma Storm’ back! But, still, we see that Donovan is trying to straighten himself up, but Holly follows that up by connecting with a meteora as she takes Donovan to his back! Holly gets Donovan up to his feet as she gets him by the arm and looks to Irish whip him to one of the corners across from them! Donovan goes crashing spine first to the corner! Holly charges right at him and connects with a meteora to the face! This causes for Donovan to collapse down to the second rope! But, we see that Holly is using that strength to sit him on the top turnbuckle! What is this bitch cooking up?
James Peters: Who even knows at this point, Seph? I see that Holly Arrow is looking to join Donovan Duke on the top turnbuckle! She gets him in a front headlock and I think that she might be going for a superplex! But, we see that Donovan still has a TON of fight in him! He is throwing punches to her ribs and stomach, trying to separate her from him! HOLLY CAN FEEL HER GRASPS SLOWLY SLIPPING FROM HIM AS IT’S DONOVAN WHO MANAGES TO GET HER IN A POWERBOMB POSITION! HE CONNECTS WITH A SUNSET FLIP FROM THE TOP ROPE AS HE SENDS HOLLY CRASHING DOWN ON THE BACK OF HER NECK!
OOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEE!!!!!
TTTTTTTWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
Rich Russillo: Holly Arrow manages to get herself out of the roll up attempt! She seems to be wobbly on her feet as Donovan Duke more than beats her to the punch! He follows that up by connecting with a handspring before taking Holly down with a stunner! This causes her to recoil back as he charges right towards her and connects with ‘Dealer’s Choice’ — the spinning back fist to Holly! BUT, HOLLY MANAGES TO DUCK OUT OF THE WAY! SHE CONNECTS WITH A THRUST KICK TO THE RIBS OF THE FORMER NATIONAL ELITE CHAMPION! THEN, HOLLY FOLLOWS THAT UP BY UNDERHOOKING DONOVAN’S ARMS AND TAKING HIM BACK WITH A TIGER SUPLEX! HOLLY TURNS HERSELF AROUND BEFORE FOLLOWING THAT UP WITH A BEAUTIFUL SHINING WIZARD AS SHE LOOKS TO GO FOR THE PIN FALL ON DONOVAN!
OOOOOOONNNNNNNEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!
TTTTTWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
Persephone: Donovan Duke with a kick out! Holly Arrow manages to get Donovan Duke in a seated position as he finds himself trapped in Holly Arrow’s grasp! Holly begins to connect with a series of stiff elbows to the side of Donovan’s head! Holly likes to call this ‘Love Buzz’ as she is blasting these elbows to the side of Donovan’s head! Then, she manages to get her legs wrapped around the waist of Donovan as she applies leg scissors! Then, she begins to connect with these sharp elbows to the side of his head! Maybe, she can concuss him here! I don’t really want to sit through this match any longer than necessary!
James Peters: Holly Arrow rises Donovan Duke back to his feet! But, Donovan manages to grab her by her arms and take her over with an arm drag to a seated position! Donovan connects with a shoot kick to the spine of the former Unified Tag Team Champion! Then, he gets Holly by her waist and takes her back with a German suplex! Holly finds herself to her knees! Donovan goes right after her and connects with a sliding clothesline as that takes ‘The Seraph’ to her back! But, Donovan goes right after her legs! I think that Holly might be going for a bit of a swing here!
Rich Russillo: AND, HOLLY GOES RIGHT AROUND! ‘GAMBLER’S ROULETTE!’
Persephone: HOLLY ARROW SPINNING AROUND NONSTOP! ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! FIVE! SIX! SEVEN! EIGHT! NINE! TEN! ELEVEN! TWELVE! THIRTEEN! FOURTEEN! FIFTEEN! SIXTEEN! SEVENTEEN —
James Peters: Donovan Duke drops Holly Arrow! Donovan stalks Holly up to her feet! Her balance seems to be out of place for the time being! Donovan takes down Holly with a spear as he begins to throw some punches to Holly! But, Holly finds herself getting on top of Donovan as she throws punches of her own! But, Donovan switches positions with her and begins to throw punches at her! Then, he begins to take her down with some stiff elbows of his own! HE RISES BACK TO HIS FEET AS HE GETS HOLLY IN A BACK TO BACK POSITION! IS HE GOING FOR ‘ROYAL FLUSH’ — THE BACK-TO-BACK BACKBREAKER!
Rich Russillo: No! Holly Arrow manages to get herself out of position for Donovan Duke’s finisher! She connects with a superkick to the back of his head before getting Donovan and lifting him up with ‘Ragnarok’ — the olympic slam that is meant to use in mockery of her former partner, Harper Lee, BUT IT’S USED TO TAKE DONOVAN DOWN! HOLLY IS STILL TRYING TO RECAPTURE HER BALANCE! AT THE FIRST SIGN OF DONOVAN SCRAMBLING UP TO HIS FEET, HOLLY GOES RIGHT AFTER HIM AND NAILS AN INAZUMA LEG LARIAT AS SHE TAKES DONOVAN DOWN!
Persephone: Donovan Duke rolls out of the ring! I mean, he just fumbled the opportunity to do something great and end this match for all of us! HOLLY ARROW IS NOT LOOKING TO WASTE ANY TIME HERE AS SHE LAUNCHES HERSELF THROUGH THE MIDDLE ROPE FOR A SUICIDE DIVE INTO A TORNADO DDT! DONOVAN IS SPIKED ON THE TOP OF HIS HEAD AS THE CROWD SEEMS TO LIKE THAT! THE CROWD IS TORN BETWEEN DONOVAN DUKE AND HOLLY ARROW! TO ME, BOTH OF THEM INCREDIBLY SUCK AND SHOULD BE OFF CAMERA RIGHT NOW! HOLLY GETS DONOVAN UP AND DELIVERS A SPINE BUSTER ON THE TOP OF THE APRON! HER STRENGTH IS SOMETHING INSANE TO ME! HAVE WE HAVE HER TESTED YET?
James Peters: I think that she might be clean, Seph! But, Holly Arrow begins to club away with fists to the chest of the former National Elite Champion! Holly gets his feet dangling on the apron as Holly has a hold on his upper body and she drops him down with an elevated DDT! Donovan Duke is spiked on his head once more! Holly picks up Donovan and rolls him back inside the ring! Meanwhile, it seems like Holly is heading for the top turnbuckle! What is Holly looking to do here?!?!
Rich Russillo: DIVING DOUBLE FOOT STOMP TO THE RIBS OF ‘THE STORM!’ DONOVAN DUKE IS DOWN AS HOLLY ARROW GOES FOR THE COVER!
OOOOOOONNNNNNNNEEEEEEEE!!!!!
TTTTWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!
TT—
Persephone: FUCK, DONOVAN DUKE KICKS OUT! :noah:
James Peters: Holly Arrow is trying to keep calm during this situation! She tries to find herself back up as she gets Donovan Duke by the nape of his neck! But, Donovan springs back up as he nails a punch at Holly! But, Holly connects with a punch in return! Donovan with a punch! Holly with a punch! BOTH OF THESE ELITISTS ARE TRADING PUNCHES TO EACH OTHER, MAKING SURE THAT EACH ONE IS AS HARD AS THE LAST ONE! HOLLY CONNECTS WITH ANOTHER PUNCH, BUT DONOVAN TAKES HER DOWN WITH AN ‘OLE RELIABLE’ — A RIGHT HOOK TO THE JAW! HOLLY TOTALLY FELT THAT AS SHE WAS CLUTCHING TO HER JAW, MAKING SURE THAT DONOVAN DIDN’T BREAK HER JAW!
Rich Russillo: That was a mean right hook there, James! Donovan Duke manages to get Holly Arrow back to her feet as he gets her into position and connects with ‘Drawing Dead’ — his variation of the michinoku driver plants Holly to her back as Donovan goes for the cover!
OOOOOOONNNNNNNNEEEEEEEE!!!!!!
TTTTTWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
Persephone: HOLLY ARROW KICKS OUT! STAY DOWN, HOLLY!
James Peters: It seems like Donovan Duke is moving onto a submission on his own as he tries to get a triangle choke on Holly Arrow! But, Holly manages to find herself standing on her feet as she lifts up Donovan, who seems like he wants to continue with the attempt to keep Holly down for the triangle choke! But, Holly is demonstrating some amazing strength as she gets Donovan up! And — SHE HOISTS HIM UP FOR A POWERBOMB AS SHE THROWS DONOVAN INTO THE TURNBUCKLE FOR A TURNBUCKLE POWERBOMB! THIS CAUSES ‘THE OKLAHOMA STORM’ TO DROP DOWN! HE MANAGES TO CLUTCH ONTO EACH SET OF ROPES ON EACH SIDE OF HIM AS HOLLY IS NOT LOOKING FOR ANY OF THIS OFFENSE THAT SHE HAS ON DONOVAN SLIP FROM HER GRASP! HOLLY CONNECTS WITH A RUNNING CORNER HIP ATTACK AS DONOVAN COLLAPSES DOWN!
Rich Russillo: Then, we see Holly Arrow showing some signs of aggression by beginning to stomp on Donovan Duke! She connects with a foot choke at the corner as she holds it there! You can see a bit of the mean streak creep out of her! It’s something that she’s constantly worked on the past couple of years, but don’t be shocked if it manages to slip up here and there! No one is perfect at the end of the day!
Persephone: Unless, you’re Luis. 😍
James Peters: 😑 Moving on, then. Holly Arrow takes a couple of steps back as she needs the appropriate amount of distance to connect with this next move! She connects with a face wash to Donovan Duke! His head goes back a bit before she pulls him by the leg! But, she realizes that she is going to need to play her part in making sure that he stays down for the count! I know that it’s going to be difficult to keep someone like Donovan down, but she can’t afford to leave pages unturned in this match up! She needs to make sure that she goes into this match and does everything that she needs to do to secure the victory!
Rich Russillo: Holly Arrow takes a couple steps back as she begins to anticipate the moment that Donovan Duke gets back to his feet! It takes a moment or two when Donovan decides to slowly rise up to his feet AS HOLLY CHARGES TOWARDS HIM — ‘RESOLVE!’ THE STEP-UP AXE KICK TAKES DONOVAN DOWN! BUT, HOLLY IS NOT DONE THERE! IT SEEMS LIKE SHE HAS WRAPPED UP THIS MATCH IN HER MIND AS SHE WAITS FOR DONOVAN TO RISE BACK TO HIS FEET! ARE WE GOING TO BE SEEING ‘GALAXY IMPACT’ — THE DOUBLE KNEE FACE BREAKER TO DONOVAN?!?!?
Persephone: HA! Donovan Duke manages to keep himself standing as Holly Arrow goes crashing down! But, we see that Donovan has possession of Holly’s legs and I think that he might be going for ‘Gambler’s Roulette’ like he did earlier in the match! But, Holly is moving her legs left and right, trying to fight her way out of this hold! Instead, it seems like Donovan is needing to change something about his strategy as he gets Holly over to her stomach as he looks for a Boston crab! He sits on the lower spine of the former Unified Tag Team Champion as Holly may have no other choice, but to tap out! I mean, there’s nothing wrong with that at all! If anything, she’d be doing me a favor!
James Peters: :mjpls: Holly Arrow finds herself in a troubling situation with Donovan Duke sitting on her spine! Now, Holly is trying to fight through the pain! She clenches her fist and bites down on that, trying to muffle her cries of pain! But, she is wondering what in the world she is going to need to do? The rope is right in front of her as she looks like she may need to lift the upper part of her body and just launch for the ropes, but Donovan is making sure to pull her back when it’s possible!
Rich Russillo: BUT, IT SEEMS LIKE HOLLY ARROW IS TRYING TO SUCK IT UP AND LAUNCH HERSELF TO THAT BOTTOM ROPE! SHE MANAGES TO CLUTCH ONTO IT AS DONOVAN DUKE HAS NO OTHER OPTION, BUT TO BREAK UP THE SUBMISSION HOLD! I DON’T THINK THAT WAS SOMETHING THAT HE WANTED TO DO!
Referee: (off-mic) ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! FIVE!
Persephone: Donovan Duke can’t risk a disqualification there! 🙄
(Donovan Duke gets up and begins to back away from Holly Arrow. There, Holly has one hand clutching the bottom rope as she uses the other one to clutch for her lower back, which was affected by the Boston crab. She tries to find herself to her feet as she stares down with Donovan. Both of these Elitists will love nothing more than to walk away with the victory here. As we head towards Pain for Pride, the little stuff like victories is what matters. Both of them want nothing more than to secure their spots on the card. Donovan and Holly want to make sure that they are in the best position possible for one of the biggest shows of the entire year.)
James Peters: Donovan Duke goes for a headbutt as that sends Holly Arrow back, but Holly connects with a giant pop-up knee strike as that takes the former National Elite Champion down! THEN, SHE GETS DONOVAN BY ONE OF HIS WRISTS BEFORE CONNECTING WITH ‘THE EMPEROR’S TIME’ — THE RIPCORD LARIAT AS SHE TAKES DOWN DONOVAN! NOW, HOLLY IS FEELING QUITE GOOD ABOUT HERSELF AS SHE BEGINS TO GESTURE DONOVAN UP TO HIS FEET! SHE’S GOING FOR ‘GALAXY IMPACT’ AGAIN! WILL THE MOVE CONNECT THIS TIME AROUND?!?
Rich Russillo: NO! DONOVAN DUKE GRABS HER BY THE LEGS AS SHE DROPS DOWN ONCE MORE! DONOVAN GOES FOR A JACKKNIFE PIN ON HOLLY ARROW! IS HE LOOKING TO STEAL THE VICTORY RIGHT HERE?!?!
OOOOOOONNNNNNNEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!
TTTTWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
TTT—
Persephone: NO! HOLLY ARROW COUNTERS WITH A ROLL UP OF HER OWN! SHE ROLLS UP DONOVAN DUKE! PLEASE, LET THIS BE A THREE COUNT! 🙏🏻
OOOOOOONNNNNNNEEEEEEEEE!!!!!
TTTWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
TTTTT—
James Peters: Donovan Duke was ALMOST caught by surprise there! Holly Arrow rises to her feet as Donovan catches her by surprise by ‘Dealer’s Choice’ — that spinning backfist that everyone needs to be on alert for! NO! IT SEEMED LIKE HOLLY HAD THE MOVE SCOUTED! SHE MANAGES TO PICK UP DONOVAN AND CONNECT WITH A VERTICAL DROP SUPLEX AS SHE DROPS DONOVAN DOWN! HOLLY LOOKS LIKE SHE MIGHT BE LOOKING TO TAKE A RISK HERE BY GOING FOR THE TOP TURNBUCKLE! IT ALMOST SEEMS TOO PERFECT TO GET HERSELF UP THERE AND IT SEEMS LIKE SHE MIGHT BE GOING FOR LARIAT FROM THE TOP ROPE AS SHE WAITS FOR DONOVAN TO GET HIMSELF BACK TO HIS FEET!
Rich Russillo: BUT, DONOVAN DUKE MEETS HER ON THE TOP TURNBUCKLE! SHE REALIZES THAT SHE MIGHT NOT BE IN THE BEST POSITION POSSIBLE DONOVAN CONNECTS WITH A KNIFE EDGE CHOP TO HER CHEST! BUT, HOLLY CONNECTS WITH A PUNCH TO HIS FACE IN RETURN! DONOVAN WITH ANOTHER CHOP TO HOLLY’S CHEST! BUT, HOLLY THROWS ANOTHER PUNCH! CHOP! PUNCH! CHOP! PUNCH! CHOP! PUNCH! PUNCH! PUNCH! PUNCH! HOLLY IS TAKING DONOVAN BACK, BUT DONOVAN WITH A ‘OLE RELIABLE’ A RIGHT HOOK! INSTEAD OF LETTING HOLLY FALL BACK, HE GETS HER INTO A FIREMAN’S CARRY POSITION? WHAT IN THE WORLD IS DONOVAN LOOKING TO DO!??!
Persephone: ‘DUKE OF HAZARD’ FROM THE TOP ROPE! THE FIREMAN’S CARRY BACK-TO-BELLY PILEDRIVER FROM THE TOP ROPE! IT’S ENOUGH TO TAKE HOLLY ARROW DOWN AS DONOVAN DUKE DRAPES HIS HAND OVER HOLLY! IS THIS ACTUALLY GOING TO BE IT HERE?!?!!
OOOOOOONNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!
TTTTTTWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
TTTTTHHHHHHRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!
(DING! DING! DING!)
(‘I Rise’ plays once more as Donovan Duke rolls off of Holly Arrow. The referee raises his hand up in victory as Donovan takes the moment to soak in the love from the crowd.)
Bella Braxton: THE WINNER OF THIS MATCH…DONOVAN DUKE!!!!!!
James Peters: Donovan Duke pulls this match off with a ‘Duke of Hazard’ from the top rope to defeat the woman who took Universal Women’s Champion Minerva to the absolute limit at Grand Rampage! It’s a heck of a way to bounce back from Grand Rampage and place him on a good path as we look towards the end of the season!
Rich Russillo: Props to the both of these Elitists who fought like absolute warriors tonight! Holly Arrow looked fantastic! She really needs to keep up this level of worth ethic because she might be someone who gives EVERYONE their toughest matches to date! Someday, it will be enough for her! It’s just not today, unfortunately!
(Donovan Duke looks at Holly Arrow who looks to be a bit bummed out about the result of the match. The two Elititsts begin to talk as — ‘Self Help Tape’ by Moses Sumney begins to play through the speakers, catching both Donovan and Holly off guard.)
Persephone: COME ON, NOW! THIS IS TAKING AWAY FROM THE GREATEST MAIN EVENT OF OUR GENERATION!
James Peters: It’s always wonderful to see Captain Charisma out here! It’s also terrifying because that means that there’s some announcement along the way!
(Captain Charisma stands on top of the stage as his entrance music dies down. He has a mischievous smirk on his face, which may or may not be a sign that he has something good to say.)
Captain Charisma: Donovan, Holly, congratulations on having an amazing match up tonight! I knew that when pinning the two of you against each other, I knew that the two of you were going to bring the best out of each other! But, I just wanted the both of you to know that you didn’t compete out here just for the love of the game. What the two of you didn’t realize is that…
(The suspense from the crowd combined with the excited grin on the Voltage Commissioner’s face makes the entire thing just crazy in a sense. Both Donovan Duke and Holly Arrow are a bit confused as they want to know what they didn’t realize.)
Captain Charisma: You both were competing for a spot in this year’s Cash in the Vault ladder match and due to the result of the match, Donovan Duke is the person to qualify for one of Pain for Pride’s most prestigious events!
(The crowd cheers as Donovan Duke seems to be completely shocked at what Captain Charisma had just said. The win was nice, but this was just an added bonus for him. This will be the second year in a row that he’s qualified for the Cash in the Vault ladder match. These opportunities don’t come often, so he’s going to make the most out of this one this time around. Meanwhile, you can see Holly Arrow’s small smile just go to a frown as she could almost feel her heart dropping a bit. It sucks to lose. It sucks even more to lose matches with huge implications for them. But, she looks to take the high road. While disappointed, she extends a hand to Donovan as a sign of sportsmanship. Donovan is more than happy to accept her handshake. The two Elitists talk briefly before Holly exits the ring, leaving Donovan to herself.)
Rich Russillo: The Cash in the Vault ladder match is a Pain for Pride staple, which has lead to its briefcase holders becoming World Champion! This is a HUGE opportunity for Donovan Duke —
(‘Gloria’ by Laura Branigan begins to play through the speakers as Bea Valentine walks around like the crowd is applauding for her and she just won a freaking Oscar. She begins to wipe the ‘tears’ with her handkerchief as she totally ignores Captain Charisma’s presence. She seems to be so out of touch, so when she does pay attention to Captain Charisma. She takes the microphone from the Commissioner like he was holding the microphone from her and shoos him to the back.)
Bea Valentine: Mr. Charisma, you silver fox, please get off my stage. It’s my moment right now.
Captain Charisma: :francis:
(Captain Charisma doesn’t argue with Bea Valentine and it’s probably for the best as he goes to the back. Bea places around slightly, trying to figure out the right words to express everything that she is feeling at the moment.)
Bea Valentine: You see, earlier in the night, I was feeling down after losing my Gloria at Grand Rampage. I have been such an emotional mess, Donnie. There was nothing that was going to knock some sense into me until Captain Charisma found me. We had a conversation about something so extraordinary. Something SO life changing, it made me throw down my picture of me and Gloria. I had to scamper off with Cornelius after, so that we were able to prepare for our matches. This news was just SO needed after the terrible week that I’ve had and I am going to tell you, Donnie. I am also going to be in the Cash in the Vault ladder match.
(The crowd has more than a mixed reception of this. Strangely enough, Bea Valentine has been one of those Elitists that the EAW Universe has grown to love due to her out of this world personality. At the same time, she does have her share of haters who think that she’s nothing more than ridiculous. Neither side can deny the work that she did as Specialists Champion, giving one of the most memorable reigns in recent memory. Bea is more than grinning ear-to-ear as she hears the reception of the crowd.)
Bea Valentine: I knew that you all would LOVE the news. I know that you’d love the news too, Donnie, but that’s where it all ends. While your little sob story of missed chances at becoming World Champion is award season worthy, the rise of Bea Valentine…✨FUTURE CASH IN THE VAULT WINNER✨…is the only movie worthy of winning the Oscar and that’s going to happen at Pain for Pride. And, you can bet on that, cowboy!
(‘Gloria’ begins to play once more Bea Valentine smirks at Donovan Duke, who is still inside the ring. Donovan hears her loud and clearly as the two Voltage competitors for Cash in the Vault stare down at each other.)
Persephone: These two are hoarding Luis’ opportunities to become World Champion! I hate this place! Donovan’s already been in the match! He should step down and give Luis that opportunity! As for Bea, I didn’t know we were letting loons into the ladder match this year! Is she stable enough to participate in something like this??
James Peters: I’m not going to lie, but Bea Valentine and Donovan Duke are FANTASTIC choices for this match! I can’t wait to see how all of this shapes up!
(Voltage fades away from ringside.)
(The camera fades to a separate area backstage, where Sofia Clarke is seen. She is seated in a chair and holding a microphone in her hand, with a smile on her face as she looks towards the camera. After a few seconds, she begins to speak.)
Sofia Clarke: Ladies and gentlemen, at this time I’d like to welcome Hall of Famer Rex McAllister!
(The camera cuts over to Rex McAllister, who is seated in his own chair across from Sofia. The fans cheer loudly once he appears on the screen, and Sofia continues.)
Sofia Clarke: Rex, thank you for joining me tonight. Now after the week you’ve had I’m sure you know exactly what I’d like to ask you about.
(Rex sighs, understanding that this is about his match against Charlie Marr for the EAW World Championship at Grand Rampage, where he’d win, but only by countout, as Charlie walked out to retain his Championship.)
Rex McAllister: Grand Rampage, right?
Sofia Clarke: That’s right. Now, despite things not working in your favor, you put up a really great fight against Charlie Marr! I think everyone watching that match would agree that this was an amazing match that could have gone any way, however Charlie Marr was able to retain his Championship in the end. Considering the controversial nature of his Championship defense, do you have any words about that match?
(Rex takes a moment to think, knowing that he’s not happy about what happened. After a few seconds, he finally begins to answer.)
Rex McAllister: Look, I’m not the type of man to make excuses for my failures or try to take away from a loss. When I lose, I lose. I can accept when someone is the better competitor. I can even accept it if I’m outsmarted, which many could argue is what happened at Grand Rampage, but… I just can’t accept that things ended the way they did back there. I can’t accept that after everything I went through in that match, the only thing stopping me from becoming the EAW World Champion was a pair of handcuffs. A pair of handcuffs ruined everything that night. It stopped me from doing the one thing I’ve been trying to do since Road to Redemption at the end of 2023. Don’t get me wrong, I know Charlie. He’s not the kind of man to fight fair, and if there’s anybody that should’ve known that it was me, but who could’ve expected him to do what he did at Grand Rampage? Who could’ve expected him to just walk out on the match entirely, without giving me even a chance to stop him? That was the best chance I had to win the EAW World Championship. It wasn’t an Extreme Elimination Chamber. It wasn’t a triple threat. It was just me and him one on one, and I was convinced that this was it. I was convinced that this was where I would become the EAW World Champion again, but I was wrong.
Rex McAllister: This loss hurt more than the other losses I’ve taken throughout the season, because I came as close as I possibly could to becoming Champion. You can’t get any closer than I did at Grand Rampage without being crowned Champion. I was even announced as the winner of the match, it just didn’t happen the way I wanted it to. I’m sure Charlie is proud of himself knowing what he did. He’s the kind of man willing to stoop to any low just to stay on top, and while I should’ve expected him to do something, there’s just no way I can look back at Grand Rampage and be okay with what happened. There’s no way I can just accept that this is how my best shot at the EAW World Championship is taken away from me. It would’ve been different if Charlie had actually defeated me. Had he simply gave me his best and pinned me in the center of that ring, there’d be absolutely nothing I could say to you right now besides telling you that Charlie was the better competitor that night. Charlie tried to put me down and he failed every single time, so instead of continuing to try he ran away and took the Championship with him. I can’t be happy with what went down at Grand Rampage. Everything was going right until the very end, and knowing Charlie, I think he knew that just as well as everyone else. Had he not handcuffed me and walked out on the match, you and I both know what would’ve happened. I wouldn’t be having this interview empty handed. I’d be sitting here as the new EAW World Champion. How could anyone accept a loss like this knowing that the only thing that got in their way was the Champion himself walking out?
Sofia Clarke: I understand. I could tell this wasn’t an easy match for you, though you could also say that Charlie wasn’t able to pin you to win at Grand Rampage. Do you consider that something positive to take away from the match, or is it all the same?
(The expression on Rex McAllister’s face doesn’t change, still not over what happened in the match against Charlie at Grand Rampage. After a few seconds, Rex begins to respond.)
Rex McAllister: As much as I wish I could look at this in a positive light, I don’t think that matters. At the end of the day, I lost. I know I was announced as the winner, and the record books will always say that I won that match, but I can’t consider that a victory. Charlie won’t either, because he still has his Championship. No matter how anyone looks at it, Grand Rampage was a loss, and a huge loss at that. We’re getting so close to Pain for Pride. I can’t afford to keep walking into Voltage empty handed the way I have been for the past few months. If there’s any time for me to turn things around it’s now, but despite everything, Charlie was able to leave Grand Rampage exactly how he walked in. He was able to just walk out of the match with his Championship while I was handcuffed, unable to do anything about it. Victory, defeat, none of it was an option once I was handcuffed. Charlie got what he wanted from that point, meanwhile I was unable to capitalized on what may have been the best opportunity I’ll get in a long time to become the EAW World Champion. That was as big of a failure as possible, so I’m sorry, but I can’t really see a bright side to this one. I lost. Charlie Marr is still the EAW World Champion, and this close to Pain for Pride I’m being forced to start from square one.
Sofia Clarke: I understand. Of course, now that Grand Rampage is out of the way, we’ll be moving on to Fighting Spirit, and soon after, Pain for Pride. Knowing that the end of the season is approaching, how do you intend to approach these next few weeks? What’s next for Rex McAllister?
(This is the question that causes the look on Rex’s face to change, as he’s forced to think about his decision. After taking some time to think about the upcoming weeks, knowing that he still hasn’t won the EAW World Championship, Rex finally begins to respond.)
Rex McAllister: I’m just going to put it like this. I knew what I wanted to do this season a long time ago, and that’s win the EAW World Championship. No matter what it took or who I had to face, I knew that I wanted to hold that title again. I wanted to take the title from Drake King, but Charlie Marr cashed in. I tried to win the title at King of Elite, but Charlie fooled me before stealing the victory. To many, Grand Rampage seemed like it may be my final chance. I don’t blame them for thinking this either, as I’ve had so many opportunities and have come up short every single time. However, when we’re this close to the end of the season, and the biggest show of the entire year is approaching, how could I give up? If I gave up, Charlie Marr would get what he wants, which is Rex McAllister completely out of the EAW Championship picture. Charlie knows that I’m a threat to him, which is why he’s constantly taken these shortcuts rather than putting me down legitimately. I know I can defeat Charlie Marr and he knows it too, so as tough as this season has been for me, there’s just no way I can stop now. If I do, then what? Where do I go for the next few weeks if I don’t commit to this? What do I do at Pain for Pride if I don’t find my way back to the EAW World Championship? Those are questions even I don’t know the answer to, and honestly, I don’t want the answer to them. I want to finally make things right, and make sure I end this season having made the most of it.
Sofia Clarke: Does this mean your chase for the EAW World Championship is not yet over?
Rex McAllister: That’s correct. Knowing what happened at Grand Rampage, I can’t let things end this way.
Sofia Clarke: Well that’s very fair, but at the same time, I’m sure many other people on the roster are also gunning for that Championship. How do you plan to be the one that gains this sort of opportunity this close to the end of the season?
Rex McAllister: That’s a good question, honestly. I earned my last opportunity by winning that match back at Shock Value, so I know I’ll have to fight and work my way back up to another opportunity this time around. However, that’s not a problem for me. I’m not afraid of having to earn another shot. In fact, I’m more than ready to get back into the ring and fight until I’m able to finally get one last shot at the EAW Championship. It doesn’t matter what I have to do, how I need to earn this shot, or who I have to beat in order to do this. I’ll be ready. One way or another, I’m going to fight for the EAW World Championship one more time. Charlie has managed to get the upper hand over me far more times than I’d like to admit, so I know I can’t just walk out and demand another opportunity from him. Not only would Charlie refuse it, but I doubt even Captain Charisma would agree to it at this point. It won’t be easy getting one last opportunity, but it’d be wrong if I just gave up on my goal of winning that title now that we’re this close to the end of the season. Now’s the time. I need to work my way back up. I need to earn one last shot, and I need to become the EAW World Champion. It doesn’t matter how difficult the road back to that title is. I’ll deal with it, and one way or another, I’ll get back there and I’ll win that Championship.
Sofia Clarke: Well, you have many people who I’m sure are supporting you on your road back to the EAW Championship. Rex, those were all the questions I had for you today, so I’d just like to thank you for your time tonight, and wish you good luck heading into the rest of this season.
Rex McAllister: Thank you. No matter what happens, I’ll make sure to give these final months of the season my very best.
(Rex McAllister gets out of his seat, before beginning to leave the area. As this happens, the camera cuts back to Sofia Clarke, who turns towards the camera with a smile on her face. From there, Voltage begins to fade away from the backstage area.)
(Voltage returns to ringside, and ‘Kashmir (Paratus Intro)’ by Led Zeppelin hits as the camera pans over to the stage. The crowd explodes with cheers, and eventually, Jamie O’Hara slowly begins to walk out to the stage. Jamie is holding a microphone in his hand, and he has a calm, confident look on his face as always following his victory against Joso at Grand Rampage. Before long, he begins to slowly walk down the ramp, heading to the ring.)
James Peters: The Ace is here, and at Grand Rampage he was able to take down the King of Elite, Joso! That was a fantastic match, but now you just have to wonder… What’s next for Jamie!?
Rich Russillo: That’s a good question. During these last few months Jamie has talked about ending his season on a high note, but he’s found himself in many matches since that he clearly didn’t have planned for himself. This close to Pain for Pride, who knows what he’ll do?
Persephone: Hopefully go home. There’s too many awful “wrestlers” on the roster as is. We don’t need all these fossils here, too.
(Jamie O’Hara walks up the steel steps, before stepping through the ropes and entering the ring. Once in the ring ‘Kashmir’ begins to fade out, and before long, Jamie begins to speak.)
Jamie O’Hara: The Ace has slain the King. Truthfully, this is the result everyone should have been expecting to begin with, Joso included. I was never going to lose at Grand Rampage, and no tournament victory over Elitists who’ve never stood where I’m at was ever going to change that. I’ll give credit where it’s due. Joso made a very bold decision that could have very easily backfired and resulted in his own humiliation, but instead he fought as hard as he possibly could. To be honest, he may have even done better than many others in his position would have. Over the past week there have been questions over my decision to shake Joso’s hand and give him the respect I’m sure he was looking for when he challenged me to begin with, and I understand where the questions and concerns are coming from knowing all Joso did to try and provoke me and send a message, but ultimately I won. No matter how I look back at that match at Grand Rampage, that doesn’t change. I can stand here and say that Joso did well out there, because as hard as he tried, and as great of a performance as he may have had, it was not enough to defeat Jamie O’Hara.
(Jamie pauses, and the fans begin to cheer after hearing this from him. Jamie stands in the center of the ring, staring at the fans in attendance with a slight smirk on his face, before finally he continues.)
Jamie O’Hara: There’s a very good chance that Joso holds a World Championship sooner rather than later. Big things may be ahead of him, but even a future this bright didn’t include a victory over me. When I speak and I warn the people in front of me of the man they’re sharing the ring with, those warnings aren’t just meant for them. They’re meant for the entire EAW roster, because unfortunately it seems like ignorance is common in this company, and the most effective way of dealing with that is to simply beat it out of them. I’ve been here long enough to understand how things work. Joso wasn’t even the first this season to challenge me in hopes of gaining momentum, let alone the first of my career. He certainly won’t be the last either, but before the day comes that someone else tries to use me as a stepping stone for their own careers I just need to say that absolutely nothing will change. Whether you’re someone on the rise like Joso or someone like Jack Ripley who desperately needs something to justify even staying in this business, challenging me will never result in the outcome you’re looking for. You won’t win this fight, no matter how different you think you may be. Just like everyone else, you will fall, and I’ll be the last one standing.
Jamie O’Hara: Moving on from Grand Rampage, I understand that Pain for Pride is approaching, and very quickly. Before you know it Fighting Spirit will be over with, and once that’s done there will only be a few short weeks before the final show of the season. I once promised to end this season on a high note, saying that once I was finished dealing with those around me, I would make something out of this season. Of course, when I initially said this I didn’t think that I would spend my Grand Rampage entertaining the challenge of someone simply trying to prove themselves at my expense, but I meant every word I said then and I certainly don’t intend to take any of it back now. Time may be running out, but let’s not forget who I am. I’ve already dealt with enough people this season who’ve made that mistake. No matter what happens between now and these final months of the season, when this season ends you all will see me exactly how you always have, knowing that I simply cannot be compared to anyone else on the roster. You’ll be looking back at my words with the realization that I knew what I was talking about. I knew what I was doing, and these matches against Joso, Drake King, Cy Henderson, Dr. Bethany Blue, they were never going to take anything away from who I am. They were never going to change the fact that at the top of EAW stands one man, and that’s me.
(Saying this, a more serious expression forms on the face of Jamie O’Hara. Once again the fans begin to cheer, showing their support for Jamie following his victory at Grand Rampage. Jamie takes a moment as he allows the fans to keep cheering, slowly pacing around the ring as he begins to speak once more.)
Jamie O’Hara: I’m sure many are currently wondering what’s next for me, knowing that even now I don’t have an established path towards Pain for Pride. However, I still have just as many options as I did before. I can still make any decision I please, and no matter what decision I make I plan to follow through on my words. There’s no need to even consider the possibility of me ending this season in underwhelming fashion, because you’re not the only people who wanted better than to have to spend half of the season putting up with the cries and complaints of the Voltage roster. I wasted far more time than I’d have liked to putting up with people who just can’t get over themselves and thanks to this a good portion of my season consisted of me simply winning matches that never needed to happen in the first place, but even those matches may serve a purpose. Much like my match against Joso just one week ago, all these matches I’ve had throughout the season should be enough to do the talking for me. Those matches should be as much of a warning as necessary. You don’t know if I’ll end up in that Sudden Death Gold Rush. You don’t know if there’s a target on your back, waiting to be shot at by yours truly. Nobody knows what’s next for me, which means that as of right now, the entire roster is on notice.
(While the cheers continue, it becomes clear just how serious Jamie is about this. He continues to speak, not wasting any time.)
Jamie O’Hara: Whoever ends up next, whoever I choose to set my sights on, and whoever I ultimately face on Pain for Pride… Just do yourself a favor. Don’t enter the ring with me blind. Don’t do yourself an injustice by making the same exact mistake so many of my opponents this season already have in thinking I’m just as beatable as anyone else on the roster. Don’t be fooled by my one misstep this season like they were. Don’t be fooled by the flaws of the names I was up against. No matter who you are, no matter what’s on the line, I will win, just like I always do. So if you would like to know what to expect come Pain for Pride, just expect to see one thing. Jamie O’Hara standing tall.
(Jamie stops speaking, and as the fans cheer, ‘Kashmir’ begins to play once more. Jamie remains in the ring for a moment, staring at the fans after those words.)
James Peters: Strong words from Jamie O’Hara as he puts the Voltage roster on notice. We don’t know what’s next for Jamie, but as he said, that means that everyone needs to watch their backs. We’ve seen in the past that he’s not afraid to be the one picking fights himself, and Jamie’s not the kind of guy you want hunting you down.
Rich Russillo: You’re right about that. Jamie is one of the greatest Elitists in history, and while that’s not something he still needs to prove, we see him continue to face the very best and win while he’s at it. No matter who’s up next, that might not change.
Persephone: Shut up. Only one person can be “the best”, and that’s not Jamie or any of the other people you’re propping up. It’s Luis!
James Peters: Whatever you say. Anyways, Jamie-
Rich Russillo: WHAT!?!?!?
James Peters: :krabs:
Persephone: What the hell?
James Peters: THERE’S NO WAY!!!!
Rich Russillo: IS THIS REALLY HAPPENING!?!?
(In a shocking turn of events, Jamie O’Hara has been dropped to the mat. There’s an explosive reaction coming from the fans, one that’s not entirely positive. However, despite Jamie being attacked, the fans can’t hide their shock as the camera slowly pans up, revealing who this attacker is.)
James Peters: THAT’S….
Rich Russillo: NO WAY… IT’S ANDRE WALKER!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(Andre Walker stands over Jamie O’Hara, having just hit him with his “Hunger on Hillside” finishing move, also known as the spear. Andre is standing directly over Jamie, staring down at him as slowly but surely, all of the fans begin to loudly boo, having processed what’s going on and realizing that Andre is the one attacking Jamie O’Hara.)
James Peters: ANDRE WALKER IS HERE, AND HE JUST DROPPED JAMIE O’HARA WITH THE HUNGER ON HILLSIDE!!!!
Rich Russillo: YEAH, AND IT DOESN’T LOOK LIKE HE’S FINISHED!!!! LAST TIME WE SAW THIS MAN HE WAS INJURED BY JAMIE O’HARA BEFORE WHAT WOULD’VE BEEN A MATCH AT ROAD TO REDEMPTION, AND IT LOOKS LIKE HE’S GETTING SOME PAYBACK! ANDRE GETS OUT OF THE RING BEFORE DRAGGING JAMIE OUT WITH HIM, AND… Oh no! He’s coming over here!
Persephone: Oh, great. This guy is back and the first thing he does is come bother us! Go away!
James Peters: Andre is clearing out our table while Jamie is still out from the spear, and guys, this isn’t good! We saw everything Andre was willing to do to Jamie before this was personal, but now!? Jamie might be in some serious trouble! We talked about how bad it’d be to be hunted by Jamie, but it looks like he’s the one that’s being hunted right now!
Rich Russillo: Andre lifts Jamie up, BEFORE PUTTING HIM THROUGH OUR TABLE WITH A HUGE POWERBOMB!!!!! JAMIE O’HARA IS OUT-
James Peters: BUT ANDRE IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWS IT UP WITH THE HUGE FOREARM TO THE FACE, NOT GIVING JAMIE EVEN A SECOND TO BREATHE! ANDRE JUST PUT JAMIE THROUGH OUR TABLE AND HIT HIM WITH OZYMANDIAS, AND IT LOOKS LIKE ANDRE WALKER ISN’T JUST BACK! HE’S BACK WITH A MISSION!!!
Rich Russillo: Andre is just dragging Jamie’s lifeless body over towards the timekeepers area, before throwing him back first into the barricade! This is giving me bad flashbacks, and if Jamie didn’t have enough in him to avoid it last time, this time I don’t think Jamie even has a chance! Andre Walker begins to back away, allowing Jamie to grab onto the barricade!
James Peters: ANDRE WALKER NOW CHARGING IN, AND HE SPEARS JAMIE THROUGH THE BARRICADE, JUST LIKE HE DID BACK AT WICKED GAMES!!!!! ANDRE WALKER IS BACK, AND HE’S BACK TO PICK THINGS UP RIGHT WHERE THEY LEFT OFF!!!! A HUGE MESSAGE HAS BEEN SENT, ONE THAT MAY HAVE JUST TAKEN OUT THE ACE!!!!
Rich Russillo: All this time, it looks like Jamie is the one that needed to watch his back! If there’s one thing we know for sure after tonight, it’s that Andre doesn’t plan to take things easy on Jamie. There’s not many people who could do something like this to the Ace. What have we just witnessed?
Persephone: That was nice and all, but did they need to break our table?
James Peters: Jamie may have put the Voltage roster on notice moments ago, but after this, I think Jamie’s the one officially on notice. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but welcome back Andre Walker!
(Security guards finally begin running out, but by this point the damage is already done. Andre Walker stands over the wreckage of the barricade for a moment, staring at Jamie, before finally turning around and walking past the security guards, who all rush to Jamie’s aid. The camera focuses on Andre as he begins to walk up the ramp, and with that final shot, Voltage begins to fade away from ringside.)
(Commercial for Grand Theft Auto V Online featuring Ronan Malosi, who showcases his skills on the game by crashing his helicopter into the water.)
(The camera cuts to Bella Braxton in the ring.)
Bella Braxton: The following contest is your main event of the evening!
Crowd: EAW! EAW! EAW!
Bella Braxton: And it is scheduled for one fall!
Crowd: ONE FALL!!!
(“PA’ ROMPERLA” by Bad Bunny and Don Omar hits as the crowd boos loudly!!!)
Persephone: APJFOPAJSA_)ASJOPFJAPFJS_AJ)_AJOPJ$AOPOJFPASFSA
Bella Braxton: Introducing first from-
(Persephone is shown rushing into the ring and steals the microphone from Bella Braxton.)
Persephone: SHUT UP BITCH! HE’S MINE!!!
(Luis De La Rosa is shown stepping out onto the stage with his arms in the air feeling the mana as he seems unaware of the commotion going on in the ring.)
Persephone: Introducing first from my bedroom… he is mi amor!!! The greatest of all time! LUUUUUUUUUISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS I LOVE YOU OMG!!!
(Luis De La Rosa makes his way down to the ring to a barrage of hatred from the crowd.)
Rich Russillo: Well I guess some of us should actually do our jobs… Luis was the first person eliminated in the Grand Rampage this last Sunday… He somehow managed to turn that into a Voltage main event and I have to question who is booking this shit.
James Peters: Well I guess this is a match the people wanted to see. But hopefully Luis can last longer tonight than he did at the Grand Rampage or that could be a humiliation that he could never recover from.
(Persephone is shown hugging Luis De La Rosa as he enters the ring. Suddenly “Sneaky Snitch” by Kevin Macleod hits as the crowd erupts into a pop unrivaled by most throughout the rest of EAW history.)
Persephone: Eeew… What the hell… Bella what are you doing? Announce this jobber so we can get this match over with. Do your damn job!
(Persephone shoves the microphone back into the hands of Bella Braxton before rolling out of the ring and returning to commentary. Cornelius is shown coming out to the stage carrying a massive suitcase in one hand, and a folded lawn chair in the other.)
Bella Braxton: And his opponent from Bristol, England he is “The Butler” CORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRNELIUS!!!!!!!!!
Persephone: Is the match over yet?
Rich Russillo: It hasn’t even started yet… Cornelius is making his entrance as he is looking to debut up against Luis De La Rosa here tonight. I am hyped to see what this butler can do.
(The crowd’s reaction turns more mixed as Bea Valentine is shown coming out onto the stage wearing a swimsuit and sunglasses. She carries a glass of wine down to the ring as Cornelius sets up the lawn chair for her at ringside.)
James Peters: I have no idea what is even going on here. Why is Bea back out here again?
Bea Valentine: (off-mic) Thank you Cornelius. Please fetch my sun reflector. I am hoping to get a nice tan from this great Los Angeles weather…
(Cornelius is shown handing a sun reflector to Bea Valentine as she lies down on the lawn chair and begins tanning inside the indoor Crypto.com Arena.)
Rich Russillo: Well… I don’t know what to say. We knew that something good was said to Bea for her change in personality, and it turned out that she’ll be in the Cash in the Vault ladder match! Even so, this is a bit much. Even Luis De La Rosa doesn’t seem to know what is going on. He is flabbergasted.
(The referee is shown confronting Cornelius about what is going on and if there is going to be any problems.)
Cornelius: (off-mic) Of course there will be no problems! Madame Bea needs to rest to prepare for the Cash in the Vault ladder match!
James Peters: Well this is Voltage… So I’m not sure she’s in the right place for that… But regardless we have a match to begin and the referee is calling for the bell!
(DING! DING! DING!)
Rich Russillo: We are underway here and honestly I am not even sure what to expect from this match. Apparently Cornelius is capable of fighting and is having his first debut match here on Voltage tonight up against Luis De La Rosa. Cornelius claims to be a retired boxer before becoming the personal butler of Bea Valentine. We already saw him put the beating on Luis in the past and back then Luis was surprised as were we all. Nobody thought he could actually fight but apparently he can. So we are going to see what he can do in a real match tonight. But this time Luis is ready and actually knows what he is up against is not just the average butler.
(Cornelius is shown phantom boxing in his corner as Bea Valentine is shown rooting him on by fist pumping outside the ring.)
James Peters: Cornelius now moving around the ring as he throws quick jabs at Luis De La Rosa who barely dodges the fists. Cornelius’ lightning fast punches nearly take Luis out and if those collided I feel like it would be an instant knockout. That would be very good for Cornelius considering Bea Valentine just lost her title at the Grand Rampage, and her entourage could really use a win. It would be pretty tragic for Luis who might not be getting the serious reaction from the fans he is hoping for. I get the vibes that Luis wants to be taken seriously as a real threat within La Familia. Cornelius with a hard uppercut right into the jaw of Luis! No! Luis jumps backwards and goes up to the middle rope! Luis lunges towards Cornelius with a Hurricanrana! But Cornelius throws Luis off him! Luis flips down and manages to land on his feet! Big haymaker incoming from Cornelius! Cornelius looking to take Luis’ head right off! No! Luis ducks it falling down to the mat. Luis rolls to the outside of the ring escaping Cornelius for the time being. Luis walking around the ring now getting a breather.
Bea Valentine: (off-mic) Oh you scared huh? Best get back on up into that ring! Coward! Cry more lil boy!
Luis De La Rosa: (off-mic) Shut up! Leave me alone!
Rich Russillo: Luis De La Rosa does not appreciate Bea Valentine’s taunting and is rushing back into the ring. He ducks under a shot from Cornelius’ fist and kicks the leg of Cornelius! Cornelius goes down as Luis runs the ropes… Luis with a Running Enzuigiri taking Cornelius down! That might be it as this bald old man has been knocked out! Luis into the cover right here and now!
Referee: ONNNNNNNNNNN-
James Peters: A kickout with authority from Cornelius! Luis De La Rosa goes flying across the ring from the sheer force of that kickout! I think he has done nothing but awakened the beast within Cornelius here tonight! Luis back up as he charges in at Cornelius… but Cornelius charges in and lays into the gut of Luis with a series of low jabs! Luis keels over as Cornelius begins kicking with hard shots right to the skull! Luis staggers back into the ropes as Cornelius rushes him with a Superman Punch sending him flying over the top rope to the outside! Cornelius rolls to the outside going after Luis. But a thumb to the eye from Luis! And Luis now lighting up Cornelius with repeated shots to the face! Cornelius falls backwards but then responds with a hard uppercut staggering Luis up against the LED barricade! Both men brawling outside the ring now!
Persephone: Start the count out ref! Quickly now! Wait no Luis is in this match… Wait until he is back in the ring then count to ten… ten milliseconds that is! Don’t you dare count out mi amor!
Rich Russillo: Luis De La Rosa eating shots to the face as Cornelius grabs him by the hair and rams him hard into the LED barricade head first! Luis staggers around ringside before collapsing on top of the announce table! Luis shoves Cornelius away holding his hands up.
Luis De La Rosa: (off-mic) Tranquilo… what the hell man… I thought you were a butler? Why are you this violent?
Cornelius: (off-mic) I am a butler. But haven’t you ever seen the Batman movies? I do all kinds of training in the Batcave all day long.
Luis De La Rosa: (off-mic) Really? That is cool. Can I try out some of Batman’s gadgets.
Cornelius: (off-mic) Uh sure try this one.
Luis De La Rosa: (off-mic) I think the shark repellant spray is cool…
Cornelius: (off-mic) Then you will love this!
(Cornelius whips out a switchblade and stabs Luis De La Rosa!!!)
Persephone: No! How dare you!
James Peters: But Luis De La Rosa smartly lunges out of the way! Cornelius stabs the commentary table with the switchblade and it gets stuck! Security is shown shoving Cornelius aside and confiscating the knife. The referee stopped the count to warn Cornelius about this behavior.
Bea Valentine: (off-mic) Come on now ref. He did nothing wrong. He didn’t actually stab him. So no disqualification is necessary!
Rich Russillo: Bea Valentine passionately coming to the defense of her butler as Luis De La Rosa looks like he is about to pass out from shock. He just almost got murdered here tonight.
James Peters: I honestly don’t know if he is upset about almost being killed or if he is upset to learn that Cornelius probably doesn’t know Batman.
Persephone: I imagine instead of the Batcave he spends all of his time in the Beacave instead.!
Rich Russillo: :francis:
Persephone: Come on that was a good one.
James Peters: :francis:
Persephone: Haters!
Rich Russillo: Wait Luis De La Rosa just charged in at Cornelius! But Cornelius grabs him around the waist and throws him backwards!!! Belly to Belly Suplex throws Luis right into the Spanish announce table! Luis just got driven through the table and he is not moving among the wreckage!
Bea Valentine: (off-mic) Oh god Cornelius… Look at this absolute mess. It is truly filthy in here!
Cornelius: (off-mic) Of course madam. At once!!!
(Cornelius is shown rushing around the ring as he grabs a briefcase that he had stashed in the ringside area. He pulls it out and opens it as he begins rummaging through the contents.)
James Peters: What on Earth is he doing? This should definitely have been a count out at this point but I guess the referee is showing discretion in this match. After all… Look who we’re watching right now.
(Cornelius pulls out a dustpan and a folded broom from within the briefcase as he assembles it. He rushes over to the destruction that is the Spanish announce table and begins sweeping up. Bea Valentine is shown looking on with a smile on her face before walking back over to a folded lawn chair she has set up at ringside. Bea puts on sunglasses and begins to enjoy the great Los Angeles sunshine at ringside.)
Persephone: Dumb bitch. This is not an open air arena…
Rich Russillo: I guess Bea Valentine is tanning under the arena lights here tonight at the Crypto.com Arena…
James Peters: Well it looks like Cornelius is making quick work. The Spanish commentators appear to be assisting him in repairing the commentary table. This is what I like to see. All kinds of respect and people working together towards a common cause.
(As Luis De La Rosa gets up he looks appalled as he sees Cornelius putting the finishing touches on repairing the Spanish commentary table.)
Luis De La Rosa: (off-mic) Ummm did you forget we have a match? What the hell is wrong with you old man??? Pinche viejo I will kill you!
Rich Russillo: Luis De La Rosa now charges in at Cornelius and hits him with a Superkick! Cornelius drops to the ground! Luis stomps on the Spanish commentary table destroying it! Now that was just uncalled for! Luis throwing Cornelius now back into the ring. The crowd boos loudly as Luis gives the Spanish commentators the middle finger having destroyed the table they worked very hard to fix before rolling back into the ring and picks up Cornelius! Luis connects with a Sit-Down Powerbomb on Cornelius and slides into the cover!!!
Referee: ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
Referee: TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
Referee: THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!-
James Peters: Kickout by Cornelius! Luis De La Rosa is pounding the mat in rage. He clearly does not like to be denied. He thinks that Cornelius should be an easy victory for him but the butler is proving to be anything but. Luis gets back to his feet, and he begins to stomp away at Cornelius, looking to tire out the butler! I can’t even believe I’m saying this right now.
Bea Valentine: (off-mic) Oh dear. This vacation is truly tiresome. Cornelius clearly did not clean up that mess properly. And now he is just lying around in the ring? We can’t have this before Cash in the Vault! All of this stress is making me hungry. Yes that is right I am a stress eater. Fetch me something to eat Cornelius. Right now!
Persephone: This annoying whore is getting on my nerves. The referee needs to ban her from ringside. If she interferes in the match and hurts Luis I might just remove her from ringside personally.
Rich Russillo: She is the former Specialists Champion…
Persephone: You are right the referee should be the one to do it. I’ll do my job on commentary here.
James Peters: That I would like to see. Meanwhile it looks like Luis De La Rosa is picking Cornelius up and tosses him into the corner. Luis is toying with Cornelius now slapping the butler who while an impressive ex-boxer just might not be up to facing a talent like Luis at his age… Wait what the hell… Cornelius just lunged out of the corner and he is lighting up Luis with a series of hard haymakers right to the eye! Luis gets pummeled repeatedly in the face as he falls over! Luis just might have a black eye after all of this damage is done! Luis gets the knee up and Cornelius crumples over… Luis off the ropes… Headscissors Takedown to Cornelius sends him flying across the ring.
Rich Russillo: Big move by Luis De La Rosa, and he begins taunting the crowd, seemingly proud of what he just did.
Persephone: What a legend. Nobody could ever compare to him!
James Peters: But Cornelius isn’t done just yet! He lunges at Luis! Cornelius bites down hard into Luis’ ear! What the hell!
Rich Russillo: Cornelius is ripping into the ear of Luis De La Rosa and he might just bite the thing off! Luis is shrieking as he bashes into the face of Cornelius with his elbow repeatedly until the deranged butler backs away. Luis feels his ear and notices his entire hand is colored red! His ear is bleeding profusely as Cornelius nearly ripped that thing right off! This is disgusting… but wait Cornelius isn’t done! Luis was too distracted by the sight of his own blood as Cornelius comes in and lays him out with a huge punch to the face!!! PRIME CORNELIUS-
James Peters: NO! LUIS WAS ABLE TO DUCK IT, AND NOW HE KICKS CORNELIUS IN THE MIDSECTION BEFORE BEGINNING TO PUNCH AWAY AT HIM! Cornelius was a former boxer but he’s getting up there in age, so Luis used that to his advantage! Luis now sending Cornelius into the corner, AND HE RUNS IN BEFORE DELIVERING A SPLASH! Luis now sending Cornelius into the ropes-
Rich Russillo: AND LUIS GOES FOR A CLOTHESLINE, BUT CORNELIUS DUCKED UNDER IT, AND NOW LOOK! PRIME CORNELIUS CONNECTS!!! CORNELIUS CONNECTS WITH THE STRIKE THIS TIME AROUND AND LUIS IS OUT! Cornelius to the cover as Luis has been completely knocked unconscious! This thing is so over!
Referee: ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bea Valentine: (off-mic) Cornelius??? Cornelius be a dear and fetch me something to eat. I’m stressed. I miss Gloria. And I’m hungry.
Referee: TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bea Valentine: (off-mic) COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORNELIUS!!! WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU?!?!
Referee: THRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR-
Bea Valentine: (off-mic) COOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEELIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIUUUUUUUUUUSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MADAME NEEDS YOU!!!!!!!!!!!! HELP!!!!!!!!!! IT’S AN EMERGENCY HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLPPPP!!!
James Peters: Cornelius breaks up the cover but Luis De La Rosa didn’t even kick out! I think that would have been it! But Cornelius now is rushing over to ringside! He is speaking to a man in what looks to be a chef’s uniform! Cornelius had the match won but he is abandoning the match now! The chef hands him a covered silver steel platter as Cornelius rushes it over to Bea Valentine!!!
Persephone: Is Luis okay though? I don’t care if Bea starves. Her fat ass will be fine. But what about Luis??? Are you alright mi amor???
Cornelius: (off-mic) Here is your meal as you requested madame. I have brought you the finest cuts of chicken breast straight out of the Crypto.com Arena’s kitchen.
Bea Valentine: (off-mic) Thank you Cornelius. Truly I don’t deserve you.
(Bea Valentine picks up a knife and fork and begins to delicately cut into her food and eat it slowly at ringside.)
Cornelius: (off-mic) I shall fetch you the potato salad. It was not ready in time I fear.
(Cornelius goes back over to the chef to grab a large bowl of potato salad as he returns back to Bea Valentine’s side.)
James Peters: The referee is being very discreet tonight. With all of these errands the butler is being forced to run I really think he could have been counted out like five separate times so far in this match-
Rich Russillo: But wait! Luis De La Rosa is back up and he just threw himself over the top rope! Tope Con Hilo from Luis as he takes out Cornelius at ringside!–
Luis De La Rosa: (off-mic) Ahhh what the hell… ahhh!!!
James Peters: Wait! Luis De La Rosa he just–
Rich Russillo: Luis De La Rosa got hit with the potato salad in mid-air! Cornelius threw it in his face at the last moment! Luis is writhing on the ground spitting it out as he wipes it from his eyes.
Cornelius: (off-mic) You… you ruined Madame Valentine’s meal??? How very dare you… This is an unforgivable offense I fear.
Bea Valentine: (off-mic) Ugh… I was looking forward to that… I suppose you will have to make me some more as soon as you deal with this idiot. Hurry it up Cornelius, I want to get out of here.
James Peters: Cornelius just tossed Luis De La Rosa back into the ring! And now he is grabbing a steel chair! Come on now Cornelius… you don’t want to get disqualified do you?
Persephone: Well the referee isn’t doing count outs. So who is to say they will even bother doing disqualifications too? Hell just stop counting pinfalls and submissions. Might as well we aren’t even following the rules anymore.
Rich Russillo: The referee is stopping Cornelius as he enters the ring going after Luis De La Rosa! Cornelius is struggling with the referee over the chair! But the referee uses all of their power to yank the chair away from Cornelius! The referee falls backwards and accidentally hits their head on the chair! The referee has been knocked cold! Wait look out!!!-
James Peters: LUIS DE LA ROSA RUSHES IN AT FULL SPEED KICKING CORNELIUS RIGHT IN THE NUTS!!!
Rich Russillo: No! Cornelius moves out of the way just in time! Luis De La Rosa kicks the ropes by accident instead! Cornelius grabs Luis from behind!!! He grabs the arms of Luis… ODE TO MADAME!!! Cornelius just dropped Luis with the Killswitch! What a devastating maneuver! Luis is completely destroyed here tonight by Bea Valentine’s butler! That is something I never thought I would be saying… And now Luis going for the cover!!!
Crowd: ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
Crowd: TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!
Crowd: THRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEE!!!!!!!
James Peters: But the referee is down!!! The referee is down and Cornelius had this match won!
(Cornelius is shown looking on appalled as the referee lies unconscious outside the ring. He looks even closer as he places his monocle on to really understand what is going on.)
Persephone: Wait what is he doing… Cornelius is going after Bea now? This butler has snapped!!!
Bea Valentine: (off-mic) What are you doing Cornelius? Don’t you see I am on vacation? I need to enjoy the sunshine! I am tanning Cornelius, I need that!
(Cornelius is shown outside the ring stealing Bea Valentine’s sun reflector as she looks very upset by this. Cornelius rolls back into the ring!!!)
Rich Russillo: What the hell? Cornelius is back in the ring with Luis, and it looks like he has something on his mind! This has been a very strange match, and with the referee out it seems these two are able to do a little more than they normally could!
James Peters: Cornelius hits Luis De La Rosa over the head with the sun reflector! Cornelius now sliding the sun reflector out of the ring and back to Bea, and it looks like he just apologized for his actions. What is even going on right now!?
Rich Russillo: But Luis De La Rosa doesn’t seem to feel the effects of the sun reflector! Cornelius didn’t hit him hard enough I guess! Luis back up as he spits in the face of Cornelius! Luis picks the chair up that the referee took from Cornelius earlier and bashes it over the head of Cornelius!!! Luis slides the chair on top of the fallen Cornelius as he climbs up to the top rope…
James Peters: Luis De La Rosa comes flying off the top rope with a Destripada!!! Double Foot Stomp off the top rope crashes into the chest of Cornelius! And Luis into the cover!!! The referee is sliding back into the ring just in time!!! Luis has this thing completely won!
Referee: OOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEE!!!!
Referee: TTTTTTTTTWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
Referee: TTTTTTTTHHHHHHHHHHHHHRRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!
(DING! DING! DING!)
Bella Braxton: Here is your winner… LUUUUUUUUUIIISSSSSSSSS DE LA ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSA!!!!!!!!!!!
(“PA’ ROMPERLA” by Bad Bunny and Don Omar hits as the crowd boos loudly. The referee who can barely stand raises up Luis De La Rosa’s arm in victory as he celebrates on the top rope. Luis is shown celebrating around the ring as if he just won the World Title at Pain for Pride and does a victory lap around the ring. Luis is shown hopping over Bea Valentine on her lawn chair at ringside nearly causing her to have a heart attack as he celebrates.)
Rich Russillo: Luis De La Rosa celebrating like he just won the Super Bowl! Luis is acting like this is the biggest victory in his career!
Persephone: Shut up Rich! You don’t understand! This was more impressive than winning the Grand Rampage! LUIS FTW!!!!
James Peters: Well this actually might be the biggest victory in Luis’ career to be fair… But Cornelius looked very impressive in his debut match. Not gonna lie.
(‘Peligro’ by Peso Pluma hits to boos from the crowd as Roberto De La Rosa and Brianna Hill are shown coming to the ring.)
Rich Russillo: Well we know that Roberto is going to be issuing an open challenge here tonight. But it looks like the Hardcore Champion is out here earlier than expected!
(Roberto De La Rosa and Brianna Hill are shown entering the ring as they raise up Luis De La Rosa up on top of their shoulders to continue the celebration.)
James Peters: The boyhood dream has come true for Luis…
(The crowd continues booing loudly as La Familia celebrates in the ring. The camera then fades to black.)
(A commercial airs featuring speculation as to whether or not EAW’s PG Era has officially ended.)
(Luis De la Rosa is seen taking a ceremonious victory lap around the ring as the crowd continues to boo and jeer him after seeing Cornelius take such a disappointing defeat. It was clear that the butler of Bea Valentine was a fan favorite to come out on top, but seeing it completely soiled right before this Los Angeles’ crowds eyes, especially in the main event is not something to exactly write home about. But it’s not over just yet…)
Persephone: BOOOOO!!!! GET THEM OUT OF HERE! I WANT THE SHOW TO END WITH LUIS AND JUST LUIS!
Rich Russillo: His familia can’t celebrate with him? :lupe:
Persephone: LEAVE HIM ALONE! LEAVE! HIM! ALONE!
(The camera goes over to Hardcore Champion Roberto De La Rosa and Brianna Hill as they are making their way out from the backstage area and toward the ring, applauding Luis with smiles on their faces, clearly proud of his work here tonight. They make their way into the ring as they celebrate with him after a huge win tonight in the main event of Voltage.)
Rich Russillo: Well while we’re on the topic, last week we saw Roberto De La Rosa defend his Hardcore Championship against someone whom he considered familia at one point, Valerie Hellstorm. It was a grueling match, but in the end, it was Roberto who ended up standing tall as he defeated Valerie by submission. And it doesn’t seem like Roberto tonight is here for just celebration, because he also has something on his mind as well.
James Peters: It’s been a long road for Roberto and it has led him this close to Pain for Pride and the prospect of defending the Hardcore Championship at the event. He seems to be fingertips away but that doesn’t take away from the fact that there may end up being some potential hurdles in the way in the meantime.
Persephone: Well… as long as Luis is in the ring, I guess I don’t really have anything to complain about, do I?
(Roberto adjusts the Hardcore Championship over his shoulder as he makes his way over and takes a microphone from the ringside area. He heads back over to Brianna and Luis, exchanging confident looks with the both of them before he turns around and looks toward the crowd, who is still not happy about this and especially not happy that the Hardcore Champion has something to say right now. After some time though, things begin to quiet down, and that gives Roberto the opportunity to bring his microphone up to his mouth and begin to speak.)
Roberto De La Rosa: First of all, I would like to give my congratulations to Luis and his successful win here tonight, La Familia is extraordinarily proud of him. But I’d be remiss if I came out here and didn’t talk about what happened last week at Grand Rampage. Let’s get this out of the way right now, Valerie Hellstorm deserved everything that happened to her that night at my hands, fue necesario. I put my trust in her, from the very beginning I looked at her as nothing less than familia and I treated her as such just as I would treat Brianna, just as I would treat Luis. When I say that I would never wrong her or purposely disrespect her or her abilities in the ring I mean it, that comes from mi corazón. So when she completely throws that away, when she walks over me and the rest of La Familia and goes against us, that’s when it becomes personal. That’s when this becomes more than professional wrestling, and that’s when I have to take action. Let me make one thing clear, I never wanted it to come down to this. I tried to talk to her, I tried to understand her, but she forced my hand, and she made me do this to her. I told her that no matter how hard she tried, she was never going to beat me, and I continued to hammer it into her, but she was persistent. Perhaps that is something that I can commend her for, that fuego that kept burning until the very end, that is what I saw in her from the very beginning. But at the end of the day, it also led to her demise. It led to her failures inside of the ring and that’s why while she has nothing, La Familia is still standing here not just on top but still with the Hardcore Championship. I hope one day she understands where she went wrong, how immediately placing her failures on us was never going to do her any good, and that things wouldn’t have turned out this way if she had just done things differently. Hopefully, she can learn from that, and hopefully, she can understand just as much as anyone else that it was completely out of line and uncalled for to do that. But right now I can no longer see her as familia, I can no longer see her as a woman in our ranks and I think she agrees with that. It was her choice and now she has to live with that for the rest of her life, ella debe afrontar las consecuencias de sus acciones.
(Roberto has a very serious expression on her face as Brianna and Luis behind him nod their heads in agreement. It’s clear that this was a very pressing matter for some time when it came to La Familia, but right now it’s finally been dealt with. Although Roberto bears the scars of their grueling battle, one thing that can’t be denied is the fact that he came out the winner and that he is still the Champion that he is, as he looks down at the title that is wrapped firmly around his waist before he continues on with what he has to say from there.)
Roberto De La Rosa: However, I think Brianna and Luis agree that La Familia is going to move on from here on out. We are going to look toward the future and the future lies with the Hardcore Championship around my waist. This close to Pain For Pride I look to establish myself as el campeón to be around here on Sunday Night Voltage, and with that I want only the best competition to step up and face me for this Championship. I plan to get that one way or another. This is why I will be holding an open challenge for my Hardcore Championship on next week’s episode of Sunday Night Voltage.
(The crowd cheers loudly for this announcement as Roberto smirks before he continues on.)
Roberto De La Rosa: I will be more than happy to offer an opportunity to anyone who decides to come out to this ring and accept it, but I’m going to warn you beforehand that you should be careful what you wish for. As I said, I want the very best not just because of the challenge, but that’s because that is going to be what it takes if you even want to consider taking this title off of my waist. I am one of the best on this brand for a reason and it’s not just because I say so, but because I prove it every single time I step into the ring. So I’m telling you right now that you can either stay in your lane and understand your role, or you can go out exactly how Valerie did last week, truthfully, it is your decision to make.
(Roberto and La Familia turn to the stage and patiently await the person who is going to end up coming out tonight and accepting the challenge for the following week. But even in their wildest dreams… do they not expect ‘It Ain’t Safe’ by Skepta to blast through the speakers.)
Rich Russillo: :krabs:
James Peters: :krabs:
Persephone: Oh brother.
(The crowd gives a loud reaction of surprise for EAW World Champion Charlie Marr as he is seen making his way out with a smirk on his face. He takes his title and raises it high into the air, closing his eyes for a moment and nodding his head before then beginning to make his way down the ramp and toward the ring.)
Rich Russillo: Well I certainly did not expect Charlie Marr of all people to accept Roberto’s challenge for tonight. Coming off of a successful defense against Rex McAllister it seems Charlie’s goals have become clear going forward and that is not just defending his title but adding another one to his list.
James Peters: He has held the Hardcore Championship before and it seems like he’s looking to hold it again, but if Roberto has anything to say about it, then he’s going to make sure that absolutely does not become a reality. But I guess we’re just going to see what’s going to happen as the EAW World Champion and the EAW Hardcore Champion meet in the ring tonight.
Persephone: Don’t you mean the EAW World Champion and the future EAW World Champion Luis De La Rosa? Honest mistake, I know.
(Charlie makes his way up the steel steps and onto the apron as he enters into the ring. He heads over and takes a microphone from the ringside area while ‘It Ain’t Safe then begins to come to a close. Then, finally meeting face-to-face with La Familia, Charlie Marr then brings his microphone up to his mouth and begins to speak.)
Charlie Marr: I couldn’t help but hear you say that you wanted to be, forgive my Spanish, “el campeón to be” here on this brand, and I think you forgot exactly who runs things around here. See, from the very beginning that answer has always been Charlie Marr, especially when he has the EAW World Championship exactly where it belongs around his waist. I don’t think you realize, but the only reason that you and everyone else on this roster get opportunities like this is because of me, and because of what I have done for this brand. Without me, Voltage doesn’t exist. There’s no wrestling on Sundays, and Captain Charisma has to live paycheck by paycheck. I have singlehandedly plucked this brand out of obscurity and back up to its feet, and in its darkest moments, when I wasn’t there for them, this entire year I have done nothing but work tirelessly to gain back the reputation that it should have never lost, but thanks to people like Drake King and Rex McAllister it has. I know that people haven’t appreciated that, but frankly, I could give less of a fuck, because I’m not here to do this for them. I’m not out here to cater to all the people who want to see me fail, because that just doesn’t make any fucking sense. What I am doing is for the brand that I have dedicated my entire EAW career toward and will continue to do so because this is MY FUCKING BRAND. So imagine how I feel when you, Roberto, come in and want to swing your dick around trying to talk as if this is your brand, that you run things around here, and that this entire operation revolves around you. Absolutely fucking not. There is only one Champion that matters here in EAW and that is certainly not you, but it is me. I am at the very top of this company for a reason and that’s not just because I am who I am, even though that is a pretty strong case in itself, but because I hold, bar none, the top Championship not just on Voltage but in this entire company. So I’d like to see how you’re going to fight out of this one, pal.
(Charlie chuckles at this, and clearly, Roberto and La Familia are not taking kindly to his disrespect right about now.)
Charlie Marr: But let’s cut to the chase real quick since we want to be like this. When I heard you holding an open challenge for next week, I thought, shit, why the fuck not. I’m already carrying this show in itself on my back, running laps around every single person who has tried to contest me. So why not hold both the EAW World Championship and the Hardcore Championship at the same time to further establish myself as THE top person in this company? I know you probably think that you were the best person to hold that Championship, but let me give you a history lesson real quick. The Hardcore Championship was the title that I held not too long ago, I got inducted into the Hall of Fame with it around my waist, and I beat that little shit Daryl Kinkade to a bloody pulp at Pain For Pride to retain it. If it wasn’t for my unfortunate injury, it would be undeniable that I was the greatest Hardcore Champion of all time, but here we are and I have to sit here and bear witness to idiots like you try and run your mouths saying that it’s you instead. But you should realize soon enough that you really don’t know shit about that. I am still of the firm belief that I was the best thing to happen to that title, and you can say what you want to say, but if it really offends you, then maybe next week will remind you and everyone else exactly why that is going to turn out to be the case.
(Charlie’s look of confidence turns into one of deadly seriousness, to which Roberto reciprocates back. The Hardcore Champion takes the sunglasses that he has on and tucks them in his collar, taking a moment to let Charlie’s words simmer before simply giving a chuckle. Despite his status and his threatening words, Roberto doesn’t seem all that intimidated by Charlie Marr and is not backing down in the slightest. After a moment, he then begins to speak, looking to respond to his acceptance of the open challenge that he put out.)
Roberto De La Rosa: I have to give you credit, Charlie Marr, and that’s that you are in the position that you are in for a reason. You are a proven commodity, and nobody is going to take away from the fact that you are the greatest Elitist that this brand has ever seen. But despite that praise, despite what I have to say toward you, that’s not going to take away from the fact that I hold my ground on what I have to say. Maybe the Hardcore Championship isn’t universally recognized as the top title in this company with you around, but when I beat you with this title on the line then surely you’re going to get the message one way or another. I’m not going to back down from your challenge whatsoever, and if you think that I’m just going to let you step over me like I’m nothing, then you thought absolutely wrong. Solo debes saber que esto es lo que pediste. I will have zero mercy and make sure that I embarrass you the same way that I did Valerie Hellstorm at Grand Rampage. I agree to your challenge next week, and I will face you with this Hardcore Championship on the line. But I’d be advised that my warnings are still applicable even to the EAW World Champion, and it won’t be long before I leave Voltage with yet another successful title defense over someone of your caliber. Significaría muchísimo para mí, Charlie.
(Charlie doesn’t respond immediately, instead taking the time to laugh at what Roberto has to say to him. He shakes his head, adjusting the title over his shoulder as it’s clear that he himself is also not taking what his opponent has to say very seriously. He looks at himself at a very high level and with that, it means he looks at himself head and shoulders above even the Hardcore Champion of this very brand.)
Charlie Marr: You’ve got guts, that much I’ll give you, but perhaps that’s displaced. Let’s make one thing clear I am not like anyone that you have ever faced before, and I thought that we would’ve been able to establish that from the beginning, but here we are right now and I’m going to have to be forced to send you the message next week. When I take that Hardcore Championship away from you, just know that it’s a means of taking back what was meant to be mine from the get-go. This is not what you want, but shit, you asked for this, so who am I to tell you otherwise?
(Charlie chuckles as he drops his microphone down to the ground while ‘It Ain’t Safe’ begins to blast through the speakers once more. He shakes his head again as he turns around and, from there, begins to make his way out of the ring.)
Rich Russillo: WOW, what a massive announcement for next week’s episode of Sunday Night Voltage. It’s going to be Roberto De La Rosa defending his Hardcore Championship against EAW World Champion Charlie Marr, and I can’t help but wonder if it’s going to be Charlie who comes out on top as a double Champion by the end of the show.
Persephone: Please no, he’s already insufferable enough with one Championship… Luis, honey, please take it away from him.
James Peters: Well one thing’s for certain it’s going to be a blockbuster match as we close off the show with that massive announcement. What a night it has been for Sunday Night Voltage as we are en route to Fighting Spirit. On behalf of my broadcast colleagues Rich Russillo and Persephone, I’m James Peters, signing off.
(The last shot seen is Roberto confidently raising his Championship into the air as Luis and Brianna stand side by side with him. Charlie turns around, looking at La Familia with a grin as he takes his title and raises it into the air as well. It’s,f rom there, that Sunday Night Voltage begins to fade to complete black.)
(EAW logo buzzes.)
