Voltage 2/12/23

(EAW intro plays.)

(The camera opens up with a recap of the King of Elite Marquee Event from Sunday Night Voltage’s side beginning to play. On the preshow, the Scaffold of Opportunity match took place, where Samael was able to defend his 24/7 Contract and both Daryl Kinkade and Candice Blair were able to get briefcases with unique opportunities. ARIA successfully defended the Specialists Championship against Lexi, and Hikari Kanno was successful as well in defending the Hardcore Championship against Halsey Neel.)

(On Night One, in the opening match, after an intense battle, Myles was able to defeat TLA and Minerva and become a two-time EAW Champion. Even though after the match Minerva calmly gave Myles the Championship, she doesn’t accept a hug from him and leaves. In the cross-brand triple threat, Sheridan Müller defeats Showdown’s Harper Lee and Dynasty’s Madison Kaline. Dr. Bethany Blue was able to beat Sienna Jade after weeks of torment and finally become the Universal Women’s Champion.)

(On Night Two, The Ice Aces fought against Xander Payne and Ryan Wilson in a very competitive match where Xander and Ryan took the win and earned a shot at the Unified Tag Team Championships. Theron Nikolas then faced off against Yhwach O’Hara, and just as Theron was ready to finish off Yhwach, Natasha screamed out and revealed Yhwach wasn’t the person from the vision. As the lights turned off and a flame was lit on the stage, it was revealed to be the returning Methuselah, and as Natasha was attacked and Theron distracted, Yhwach used that opportunity to take Theron down and get the win. Methuselah then simply said the words “Tempest” to a downed Theron and left by himself. Finally, in the main event, Drake King from Voltage faced off against Dynasty’s Bronson Daniels and Showdown’s Adam Lucas in the finals of the King of Elite, and after a very hard fought and emotional match, Adam was able to take the win and the crown to call himself King of Elite.)

(Sunday Night Voltage fades away to show a shot of the Sullivan Arena in Anchorage, Alaska. An edited version of ‘33rd Blakk Glass’ by ZilaKami & SosMula is played through the speakers as spotlights are panning around and golden pyro is shooting out from the stage. The Voltage crowd cheers loudly while the shot then goes over to show the broadcasting team of Rich Russillo, James Peters, and Persephone.)

Rich Russillo: Welcome everybody… TO SUNDAY NIGHT VOLTAGE! A week after an incredible Marquee Event in the form of King of Elite, seeing so many Championships changing hands and new stars rising in the process, we get one step closer to Pain for Pride! And the next step for us is towards the brand-exclusive event, Tempest!

James Peters: Before we get to anything, I have been informed Persephone has something to say.

Persephone: Yes, very much so! I would like to… apologize… to all of Voltage and the EAW faithful as a whole for the comments I made in the main event of night two of King of Elite. It wasn’t an attitude that is represented by Walt Disney Corporation, and I assure you I wasn’t pulled away after and told there would be harsh consequences if I did it again, I am simply doing some self reflecting and realizing that what I did was wrong! 😔 Anyway, enough about that, we have a show tonight WOOOO!!!

James Peters: Indeed we do, from the fall out of King of Elite we have various celebrations but also matches all around. Mercer McKay against Korey Gaines, the Specialists Champion ARIA facing off against Sierra Everett, the Hardcore Champion Hikari Kanno going up against the 24/7 Contract Holder Samael, and in the main event, Sheridan Müller versus Drake King.

Rich Russillo: Another amazing show to look forward to! Let’s get on with it then!

(Voltage fades to the stage, and for the first time since King of Elite, ‘Enemy Strike’ by Yuki Hayashi hits. This causes a loud explosion of cheers, though a few sections of the crowd are mixed after how Myles’ match ended at King of Elite, where he dethroned Minerva to become the EAW World Champion. Before long the newly crowned World Champion begins to make his way out to the stage. He’s carrying the EAW World Championship on his shoulder, and as he stands at the stage he raises the title up, causing an even louder reaction from the crowd.)

James Peters: In the very first match of King of Elite’s main show this man reclaimed the EAW World Championship, but not without some sacrifices. After taking TLA out with an avalanche De Facto onto a steel chair he won an amazing triple threat, all at the expense of his own soon to be wife Minerva’s historic title reign.

Rich Russillo: Yep, we all knew just how much she wanted to make it all the way to Pain for Pride as Champion, and with the amazing run she was on this season it seemed very possible. For Myles of all people to be the one to prevent that had to have been heartbreaking, and I think we all got an idea of how hurt Minerva must have been by that whole situation when she walked out on him after the match.

Persephone: Yeah, wasn’t it just great? Watching couples split up is so fun.

James Peters: I’m.. Not sure if that’s the word I’d use to describe what happened there.

(Myles walks down the ramp, though he doesn’t look entirely happy despite his big Championship victory. It’s obvious that his whole mess with Minerva has gotten to him, and as he makes it to ringside he walks towards the timekeepers area, receiving a microphone from one of the workers there. Myles gets on the apron before entering the ring, but he remains silent for a little while, thinking about everything that happened in the past few weeks. Eventually, he takes a deep breath, finally beginning to speak.)

Myles: When Pain for Pride was over and done with, I wasn’t sure when I’d have the chance to enter the ring again. With everything that happened that night I was in no shape to wrestle and even I knew that it’d be a while before I was cleared, and because of that I was pretty much forced to sit on the sidelines and watch as this company moved on. Back then it was only six months ago that I had reached the top of this industry for the very first time, but on the same night that I lost the EAW World Championship on one of the most important nights of my entire life, I also lost months of my career, months that I had to spend watching Championship match after Championship match instead of participating in them. Some of the very best matches of the year happened after Pain for Pride and I wasn’t around to take part in them. I wasn’t around to face the best this brand has to offer and win. I wasn’t around to climb back to the place I was at just before that match. It wasn’t until Wicked Games that I was finally able to step in an EAW ring again, and on that night I promised I’d return to the top. I promised that I’d reclaim my spot as EAW World Champion, but on that exact same night, just moments after I finished speaking, I received a harsh reminder of the kind of Elitists this company holds.

Myles: I won’t pretend the past few months have been easy. I lost to Yhwach O’Hara at Road to Redemption in a match that only happened because of events from an entire year prior and if that wasn’t bad enough, I started the new year being screwed out of the King of Elite tournament in the very first round. It was the week after that Captain Charisma gave me a choice. He gave me an opportunity to do something I’ve waited far too long to be able to do. He gave me the chance to return to the very pinnacle of this industry, and what did I do?

(Myles lifts the EAW World Championship once more before speaking.)

Myles: I took it.

(The fans cheer, and Myles looks at his Championship before continuing to speak.)

Myles: I lost the EAW World Championship back in June, at the biggest event of the year. Now less than a year later, I’m back. I’ve become the peak of professional wrestling. I finally got what I wanted after months of waiting just for the opportunity to fight for it… But, I got it at the expense of something that was important to me, and there’s no way in hell I could just stand here and keep talking about my journey back to this title knowing what it did to my relationship. Minerva isn’t in the building tonight, but I still want to take this opportunity to give her a public apology, and at least try to make things right between us.

(The fans quickly begin to quiet down, and Myles looks towards the camera as he continues to speak.)

Myles: Siobhan, I just want you to know that you didn’t deserve to be treated the way you have been for the past few weeks. I’ve spent so long focused on pursuing this Championship that I clearly lost sight of what was really important, and for that I’m sorry. I am so sorry for all of the things I’ve said and done for the past few weeks, because things should not have come to this and it’s my fault that things turned out like this. I messed up, and I know that me saying this won’t just fix everything but I hope you know that I’ll do whatever I can to make sure things go back to normal. There’s not a single person I care about more than you and the last thing I want is for something like the EAW Championship to split us apart after all we’ve gone through in the past few years. You deserve far better than that, and if there’s just one thing I can promise you it’s that you’ll never have to go through anything like this again.

(Myles stops speaking, remaining silent as he finally just turns to the stage, thinking to himself about the situation with Minerva as he gets ready to leave the ring.)

James Peters: There you have it. Myles just took the time to apologize to Minerva after all that’s happened lately. I’m sure he’s spent the past week thinking about what happened after the triple threat match, so I don’t blame him one bit for wanting to give a public apology.

Rich Russillo: You’re right about that. Minerva’s not at the building tonight as Myles said, though I’m looking forward to seeing how she responds to it. Minerva has been a huge part of the Voltage roster not just this season but for the past few years, so I’m sure she’ll be able to bounce back from this loss and-

(Before Rich could finish speaking, ‘Down with the Sickness’ by Disturbed hits. This causes a loud reaction as the fans in the arena boo, meanwhile Myles looks at the stage in confusion, unsure of why Samael’s music would hit now of all times. After a few seconds the 24/7 Contract holder would make his appearance, only when he walks out to the stage it’s not as Samael. It’s as Michael, and he does not look very happy with Myles.)

James Peters: Wait, what?? Just last week at King of Elite Samael managed to retain his 24/7 Contract in a match as unpredictable as the Scaffold of Opportunity, and now he’s confronting the EAW Champion!

Rich Russillo: Well, that’s the thing! It’s not Samael confronting Myles, it’s Michael! Just check out the look on his face, that’s definitely Michael!

James Peters: Yeah, but that just confuses me even more! Why would he be Michael at a time like this??

(Michael enters the ring, and Myles just stares at him for a few seconds before beginning to speak.)

Myles: What do you want?

(Michael is staring back at Myles, and he looks mad. He has a microphone in his hand and he starts to speak.)

Michael: You’re a mean old man! What you did to Minerva wasn’t nice!

Myles: :francis: Are you serious?

Michael: I saw what you did to Minerva! You hurt her feelings and then you took her Championship from her! You’re supposed to be kind to your wife, and you were mean to Minerva! I don’t like bullies, and I don’t think a mean old bully like you should be the EAW Champion! You should just go away and never return if you’re gonna keep being a bad person!

Myles: Is this the only reason you’re out here? I literally just said that I regret treating Minerva the way I-

Michael: Nuh uh, I don’t believe you! You’re a liar! A mean old liar! You’re not sorry for what you did, you weren’t nice to her and you don’t feel bad at all! You were mean to Minerva because you’re a bad person, a bad person that shouldn’t be here! I don’t want to see you anymore if you’re going to keep bullying people like you did to Minerva!

Myles: Really?

Michael: Yeah! Now get out of here meanie!

(Myles walks up to Michael, clearly annoyed by this conversation.)

Myles: I’m going to ask you this only once. What do you want?

Michael: I…. I…

Myles: Well? You had to have come out here for a reason besides whining and yelling at me. Where is this going?

Michael: …

(Michael remains silent for a few more seconds, but the look on his face begins to change. Myles just shakes his head and begins to walk away, but before he could leave the ring, a single word is said.)

Caine: Tempest.

Myles: What?

(A grin appears on Caine’s face, and both Elitists turn back to each other as Caine continues to speak.)

Caine: I said Tempest, because that’s where this little comeback story is coming to an end.

(Myles looks a bit confused, remaining silent.)

Caine: Do you know how bored I was sitting back while you went on and on about this story of your return and rise to that Championship? You crushed your fiance’s dream just to achieve your own, who cares? Like the other guy said, you’re a bad person and there’s nothing more I’d love to do than see you being wheeled out of the ring on a stretcher, and if nobody else is gonna get the job done, then HE will.

Myles: You mean-

Caine: Samael, yeah. He’s going to take everything you’ve spent the season working for… Including the belt.

(The fans in the arena grow louder realizing what this means.)

Caine: We’re cashing in the 24/7 Contract, and you’ll be facing us at Tempest for the EAW World Championship.

(The crowd explodes with cheers and boos hearing this, the cheers coming from the fact that Samael will finally be cashing in his contract and facing Myles for his EAW World Championship. Myles doesn’t back down, however he does look surprised hearing this.)

Myles: :comeagain: You’re cashing in upfront?

Caine: What did you expect? For us to wait until you’re all tired and beat up to take advantage? For us to cash in right after a grueling match knowing that you don’t have the strength to keep fighting? I know how the rest of you operate and to be honest it’s pathetic knowing how proud you all can be of taking advantage of someone that could barely stand. Where’s the fun in cashing in on someone too weak to put up a fight? Where’s the fun in fighting a battle someone else already started for you? We’re not a [BLEEP] like you were with the Cash in the Vault briefcase. We’re not scared to get our hands dirty, in fact we’ve just been waiting for an opportunity like this, an opportunity where we can do whatever we want. I have a promise for you, Myles. When you’re laid out in a pool of your own blood at Tempest, it’ll be because of Samael and Samael only.

(There’s a staredown between the two Elitists, until finally the EAW World Champion begins to speak.)

Myles: You’re on. Hope you know what you’re getting yourself into.

(The fans cheer loudly as the staredown between the two Elitists continues, and ‘Enemy Strike begins to play once more.)

James Peters: It looks like we’ve got a match confirmed for Tempest, as Samael is cashing in his 24/7 Contract for a match against Myles for the EAW World Championship! It’s not often that you see the 24/7 Contract used for World Championship matches, and even less often that you see it used upfront like this!

Rich Russllo: Well if there’s anyone we could count on to surprise us, it’s Samael! I always did wonder when we’d see him finally cash in, and it looks like this is the moment! Samael seems to have chosen Myles as his next target, and I’m very interested in seeing where things go from here!

Persephone: Yeah… Yeah me too. Can’t wait! 🙂

(Myles and Caine don’t take their eyes off of each other, until finally Caine just starts to laugh, walking past Myles and making his way out of the ring. Myles just watches on as Caine begins walking up the ramp, still somewhat confused about what happened tonight. After this, Voltage begins to fade away from ringside.)

(Sunday Night Voltage fades to show the backstage area and furthermore heads to the office of the Commissioner of Voltage, Captain Charisma. He was currently on his break and killing a bit of time by stacking a few cards together and making a tower of cards. He needed total silence and extreme carefulness to get this right, just needing to put the last cards together and then the tower would all be finished. He carefully put them on top and slowly stepped back, taking a deep breath and admiring what he was able to do… before suddenly, loud screams and arguing could be heard outside of his office. The noise jumpscared Captain Charisma and made him bump accidentally into his desk, where all the cards ended up collapsing and falling.)

Captain Charisma: Well, at least I didn’t end up spilling my coffee this time-

(And just as he turned over, he saw a few of the cards ended up falling right into his coffee. He let out a sigh and thought to himself that he would deal with that later, as he quickly opened the door and got out to the hallway, quickly seeing the origin of those noises were two people arguing. Korey Gaines and Halsey Neel, well, Korey was arguing and Halsey was practically screaming as Captain Charisma quickly raised his voice and interrupted them.)

Captain Charisma: Whoa, whoa, whoa, both of you! Calm down already, why are you both arguing?

Korey Gaines: Why are we arguing? It’s because I came here to your office wanting Ronan!

Halsey Neel: You want Ronan? I want to KILL Ronan, so get in line! My request is more important than yours!

Korey Gaines: Murder is more important???

Halsey Neel: If the victim is Ronan Malosi, then of course it is!

Captain Charisma: Wait… hold on, are you two actually arguing about Ronan?

Halsey Neel and Korey Gaines: YES!

Captain Charisma: Look, I know Ronan is not the best kind of person in the world and he hasn’t shown many decent human qualities during his whole stay here in EAW, and he can be very annoying to a degree too. But he isn’t someone to argue over and threaten to, uh… un-alive him-

Korey Gaines: Commissioner, that man has mocked my entire family for the incidents and problems that they had to deal with, he mocked my dead grandma. I am not just going to stay down and let him ridicule me because of that, I want my revenge. I want to make him pay for doing all of that and get my revenge on him.

Halsey Neel: He COST ME MY WIN. I would be standing here with the Hardcore Championship in my hands and finally being able to call myself a Champion. But then he ended up showing how he is the biggest idiot here and decided to ruin it for me because he was too jealous that I was better than him in every way and did his job a lot better. That is why I want to make sure there is nothing left of him when I am done with him! I assure you there won’t even be a corpse left for the funeral-

Captain Charisma: Alright, alright, ok, I slightly take back what I said before. I understand why you two are very angry at Ronan and want to take your revenge on him or just… want to make him disappear. You both want a shot at him and I can see that, but… I have an idea that might interest the both of you.

(Korey and Halsey were a bit confused when they heard that Captain Charisma had an idea in mind. Korey was more interested in hearing it while Halsey was simply waiting to be given confirmation that she could end Ronan’s life.)

Captain Charisma: I can see where you two are coming from. Halsey has a bone to pick with Ronan after everything that happened in the past few weeks, with him not wanting you in the group he was in and especially at King of Elite after he ended up throwing away your opportunity at becoming the Hardcore Champion. As for you Korey, I can see as well that you don’t want to be mocked and ridiculed by Ronan after everything that has happened to you and your family since you went away. You two have been going non-stop back and forth ever since you returned and you want it to stop. So I think I have the solution now. I can offer both of you a match against Ronan at Super Voltage II, which is coming up right before Tempest, or…I could offer you something else.

(It was then that both Korey and Halsey’s intrigue were caught by Captain Charisma, they really wanted to face Ronan and make him pay but they were willing to hear Captain Charisma out as he ended up speaking again.)

Captain Charisma: Alright so, a few minutes ago, before my break started, I was on the phone with Tyrone Montgomery of Dynasty. He wanted to extend an offer to Voltage for a special match, and said he wanted someone from Voltage to challenge the new EAW New Breed Champion Caroline and give them a shot at winning the New Breed Championship. So with that interesting detail now being dropped for both of you, do you have any interest in it?

(Korey put a hand on his chin and began thinking about the offer, but for Halsey the decision was clear for her as a small scowl formed on her face and she brushed off the offer.)

Halsey Neel: You can keep the opportunity to yourself Captain Charisma, I don’t need it!

Captain Charisma: …Oh wow, I am surprised. Usually people easily accept title shots like that.

Halsey Neel: Oh, don’t misunderstand me, Captain, I would have accepted the offer in a heartbeat if I didn’t have a no good bald-headed problem to deal with, because I am sure if I was in that New Breed Championship match, I would have Ronan running around trying to screw me out of another title opportunity. To deal with that again? No thanks. I want Ronan at Super Voltage II. I think the problem with Ronan and the way that he is, is that no one has come close enough to actually make him want to regret his actions and think for a moment to use his brain. So I think to make that possible is to put the fear of death into him. I can easily do that. I want his blood on my hands.

Captain Charisma: … Right, I can see that. And what about you Korey?

(After thinking it over for a while when Halsey was giving her reasons to not accept the offer, a confident grin appeared on his face and he seemingly set his decisions on what to do as he quickly spoke up.)

Korey Gaines: Honestly, after hearing it and thinking about it… Caroline, you say? For the New Breed Championship? I’m sold, you don’t have to say anything else to me. I am fine with putting my issues aside, Ronan can wait because I am not saying no to a free title shot. Being able to have the chance to finally win a Championship just a few months after my return? That is a feeling more amazing than having to beat Ronan’s butt, and besides, in the end, he won’t be even here anymore when Halsey deals with him.

Halsey Neel: Glad we could come to an agreement on how to end a bald headed man’s life.

Captain Charisma: Well uh…I am just glad the issue was resolved. It is official then, Halsey will get her match with Ronan at Super Voltage II, and Korey Gaines will have the chance to fight Caroline for the New Breed Championship at Tempest.

Korey Gaines: Hell yeah, that is just what I wanted to hear! Now then, if you will excuse me, I have a match in a few minutes and I will be occupied beating some wannabe emo giant, see you!

(Korey then turned around and began walking down the hallway and towards the ring with a confident smile still on his face, as the only two people left were Captain Charisma and Halsey Neel, with Halsey simply giving a cold stare directly at Captain Charisma.)

Halsey Neel: Captain, being completely serious now, do I have confirmation?

Captain Charisma: Huh?

Halsey Neel: Do I have full confirmation that Ronan is my opponent and I can do whatever I want against him?

Captain Charisma: Wait, are you actually going to kill him? I thought you were just exaggerating.

Halsey Neel: I am not going to repeat the question again, Captain. Do I have confirmation?

Captain Charisma: Uh… sure. As long as it isn’t a crime-

Halsey Neel: Now THAT is all I wanted to hear.

(It was then a very evil and insane looking smile appeared on Halsey’s face as a lot of ideas came to her mind on what to do with Ronan, turning herself around and slowly walking away while Captain Charisma looked on with worry for a moment.)

Captain Charisma: … Maybe that wasn’t one of my best decisions as Commissioner, good thing we have a medical staff that does miracles.

(Captain Charisma took a deep breath and closed the door to his office, walking over to fix the mess that happened with the cards while Sunday Night Voltage faded away from backstage and into a commercial break.)

(Promotional ad for the upcoming movie Fast X, featuring the Answers World Champion Jake Smith.)

(The camera cuts to Bella Braxton in the ring.)

Bella Braxton: The following contest is scheduled for one fall!

Crowd: ONE FALL!!!

(Run by Zeal & Ardor hits!!!)

Bella Braxton: Introducing first from The Black Cabin weighing in at 265 pounds he is “The Mastodon” MERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRCER MCKAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

(Mercer McKay emerges from the darkness upon the stage. His imposing presence slowly makes his way down to the ring as smoke fills the arena and red lights flash wildly. Mercer is clearly ready for a fight, and his presence clearly makes some of the fans closer to the front row uneasy. Mercer steps into the ring looking almost unwilling to wait to get his hands on his opponent here tonight and yelling for him to come to the ring.)

Persephone: Mercer McKay is a very violent man! He is too dangerous for this Disney era of Voltage! Someone needs to control him!

James Peters: Calm down, it will be okay. There is violence in pro wrestling. It happens. It’s okay.

Persephone: I will ask the Disney representative to Voltage if it is actually okay.

Rich Russillo: On the topic of the match… Mercer seeks redemption here tonight. He claims that a bright fire burns within him and if I knew Mercer I would suspect that he plans to light a bright fire on Korey Gaines here tonight. Literally!

(Blackway & Black Caviar – “What’s Up Danger” hits!!!)

Bella Braxton: And his opponent from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma weighing in at 170 pounds he is “The Extreme” KORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREY GAINESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(Korey Gaines comes running out to the stage. He looks confident as usual, and his confident demeanor doesn’t change when he sees Mercer McKay. In fact he taunts him as he does a cartwheel down the ramp showing off his high flying athleticism and only further angering Mercer in the ring as it is clear Korey is not taking him seriously. Korey struts on the apron showing off his arrogance as he slides into the ring with the referee having to hold Mercer back from assaulting him before the bell.)

James Peters: Korey Gaines was one of the Elitists that came up short in the Scaffold of Opportunity, and it seems that the loss hasn’t gotten to him too badly.

Rich Russillo: Well we all knew that he and Mercer McKay wanted the chance to settle the score. It looked like this might just be their chance to do exactly that.

Persephone: I’m sure this will just be a veeeery exciting match!

(DING! DING! DING!)

Rich Russillo: We are underway now as Korey Gaines and Mercer McKay swiftly circle around the ring showing that they are prepared to have an intensively athletic contest here tonight. Eventually they stop and take a wrestling stance before locking up in the middle of the ring. Immediately the powerful Mercer takes control and maneuvers himself around Korey to grab him from behind. He hurls Korey backwards possibly looking for a German Suplex! But Korey manages to twist himself around in midair so Mercer is only able to toss him onto his belly with a standard wrestling takedown. Mercer spins around on top of Korey using his body weight to keep him pressed down on the mat. Mercer manages to spin around to sit on top of Korey’s back and yanks his hair before slapping him hard on the back of the head disrespectfully. Mercer just bullying Korey as he stands up over him and Korey turns over to look up at the big man standing over him.

James Peters: Mercer McKay playing some mindgames here tonight before he reaches down and grabs Korey Gaines by the neck. But Korey slaps his arms away and rolls back up to his feet with the swiftness. Korey backs away quickly into the corner getting some distance from Mercer as he may need to re-evaluate his strategy here tonight. Korey looks at the referee but the referee is not going to help him as Mercer raises up his arms in the ring menacingly. I’m not really sure who’s side the crowd is on tonight but it is pretty clear Korey is considered the underdog. Korey looking a bit more cautious now as he slowly leaves the corner looking ready to lock up with Mercer yet again. Both men eventually collide in the ring with the lock up as Mercer once again immediately takes control! Mercer transitions the maneuver into a headlock wrenching on the skull of Korey.

Rich Russillo: But Korey Gaines is fighting back! Korey with hard shots to the gut of Mercer McKay as he seeks to break free of this headlock! Another one and another one! Korey is able to force Mercer off him as Mercer runs off the ropes and comes charging back towards Korey! Korey throws himself to the mat as Mercer leap frogs him and continues running off the opposite side of the ring. Mercer comes back with a Running Shoulder Thrust but Korey takes to the sky! Korey leap frogs over top of Mercer’s shoulders as Mercer whirls around wildly confused as to where Korey even went! But Korey lands awkwardly on his leg and is too slow to capitalize! Mercer charges in and takes Korey’s head off with a Running Clothesline! Korey is turned inside out flipping in midair before crashing down onto his back on the mat! Mercer slides into the cover!

Referee: ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!

Referee: TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO-

James Peters: Only a one count! Mercer McKay unable to put Korey Gaines away who still has much left in the tank despite that hard Clothesline really taking the wind out of him.

Persephone: I see. How much more in the tank would you say he has? Does he have a meter like in your car so you know when it is going to run out?

James Peters: Ummm I am not sure that human beings or wrestling matches work that way.

Persephone: Haha of course not. I was just being silly. 😃

James Peters: Mercer McKay immediately grabs the arms of Korey Gaines forcing them down to the mat. But Korey uses the leverage on his legs to kick Mercer up off him, preventing the pin from keeping his shoulders down. Mercer nearly kicked off of Korey with the force from his legs but he managed to hang on to the arms of Korey pushing them back down to the mat. But Korey kicks him up and holds on to his arms! Mercer rolls back up into a standing position, yanking Korey back up off him as Korey goes flying up into the air! Mercer lets go of the arms of Korey but Korey lands on his shoulders and tosses him across the ring with a Hurricanrana! Great counter there from Korey! Mercer back up into a sitting position as Korey runs off the ropes and flips over him into a Sunset Flip Pin!

Referee: ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!

Referee: TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

Rich Russillo: The kickout from Mercer McKay! Both men back up as Korey Gaines kicks Mercer hard in the leg. Mercer retaliates with a hard punch to the face of Korey sending him staggering back, nearly knocking him off his feet. But Korey retaliates with a punch of his own! But Mercer acts like he didn’t even feel that! Mercer with a hard punch to the face knocking Korey back up against the ropes! But Korey bounces off the ropes and immediately hits a series of hard kicks to Mercer’s legs! Mercer wobbly now unable to retaliate as he tries to retain his footing! Korey grabs the arm of Mercer and whips him across the ring… No! Mercer with the reversal! Korey comes flying back off the ropes and jumps off the middle rope… CORKSCREW CROSSBODY!!! Korey spins through the air before crashing down on top of Mercer flattening him like a pancake! Mercer is sent rolling across the ring from the impact and slides under the bottom rope falling to the outside!

James Peters: Mercer McKay crashing and burning there as Korey Gaines is rolling! And he isn’t finished! Mercer pulls himself up using the apron on the outside… but Korey grabs the top rope and uses it to propel himself up and over! Korey goes flying over the top and crashes down across the chest of Mercer flattening him to the floor on the outside! Korey Gaines getting a high reward for that high risk! Korey has to get Mercer back into the ring to win however. He helps him back up and slowly tosses him back in! Korey follows back into the ring up to the apron… but Mercer immediately back up and hits Korey’s jaw with a hard uppercut! Korey nearly falls off the apron but manages to hang on! Mercer grabs him by the neck and pulls him up… Mercer grabs the head of Korey and runs him across the apron right into the metal turnbuckle pole! Oh god he is going to crack his skull wide open!-

Rich Russillo: But Korey Gaines gets his boot up on the turnbuckle pole just in time! Korey preventing Mercer McKay from breaking his brains open right in front of this sold out crowd here tonight in Anchorage! Korey with a hard right hand to the face of Mercer knocking him back in the ring as he lets go of him on the apron! Korey is now ascending! Korey climbing up to the top rope as Mercer recovers in the ring and has yet to notice! Korey flies off the top rope with a Leaping Double Axe Handle as Mercer turns around!!! No! Mercer manages to nail Korey right in the jaw with a stiff Uppercut! Korey gets completely laid out in the ring and he may have been knocked straight up unconscious! Mercer a bit slow as he falls to his knees and makes the cover! This could be it!

Mercer rolls out of the ring as Korey was able to grab the ropes and swing around them in order to avoid throwing himself out of the ring. Mercer getting some distance over here by our commentary desks as he avoids Korey’s intended dive to the outside. The referee advising Korey back into the ring as he begins the count to Mercer on the outside and Mercer is taking full advantage!

Referee: ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! FIVE!

Rich Russillo: Mercer McKay suddenly rushes the ring! Korey Gaines was caught off guard! Huge kick to the gut from Mercer onto Korey! Mercer hauls off and punches Korey hard in the face, sending him staggering backwards into the corner. Korey whipped across the ring to the opposite side… Mercer grabs him by the throat and hoists Korey up onto the top turnbuckle. Mercer following him and he has some bad intentions here most definitely! But Korey with some punches! Korey is fighting back not allowing Mercer to hit that Superplex or whatever he had planned! Repeated punches to the face of Mercer who falls off the turnbuckle back into the ring. Mercer lands on his feet but staggers around with unsure footing as Korey pulls himself up to his feet on the top rope! Korey going to jump! No wait! Persephone: I never believed it was the end for a second. Honestly never even wanted to believe.

James Peters: Mercer McKay not going to waste time as he is right back up and taking his boots to Korey Gaines! Mercer with hard stomps to the back of Korey which just got slammed hard to the mat off that Superplex! Mercer laying into Korey before he wraps his arms around his neck and takes him down to the mat with a Rear Naked Choke! Mercer is choking the life out of Korey here as the referee gets into position in case Korey’s life fades out from him! Korey with a hard kick breaking his legs free but Mercer transitions out of it trying to grab the leg only for Korey to break free and kick him hard in the face! But Mercer with a Falling Axe Handle to the face of Korey before grabbing his legs and slingshotting him right into the turnbuckle corner! But Korey lands on the middle ropes! Mercer charges in and Korey leaps up and onto the apron causing Mercer to nearly charge into the corner! But Korey with a Standing Enzuigiri knocking Mercer backwards into the ring! Korey pulls himself up on the apron as Mercer turns around! Korey springboards into the ring with a Springboard Crossbody!

Rich Russillo: He gets all of it! But it has little effect as Mercer McKay shoves Korey Gaines off him! Korey runs off the ropes and bounces off the side… Korey leaps towards Mercer… who kicks him hard in the gut halting him in his fast moving tracks! Mercer leaps over Korey going for a Sunset Flip but Korey rolls through! Korey connects with a hard Buzzsaw Kick to the skull of Mercer knocking him down flat on the mat! Korey into the cover!

Referee: ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Referee: TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

James Peters: Kickout at two by Mercer McKay! Korey Gaines came close to winning this match there and pulling off the upset. Both men now back up as Korey whips Mercer across the ring… Mercer reverses… but Korey grabs onto the ropes to stop himself as Mercer charges in! Clothesline over the top! No! Korey gets his boots up in time kicking Mercer hard back into the ring! Korey leaps up to the middle rope as Mercer turns around… KOREY WITH A SPRINGBOARD MOONSAULT OFF THE ROPES LANDING ON TOP OF MERCER!!! NO WAIT MERCER CATCHES HIM!!! MERCER CAUGHT KOREY AND DRIVES HIM INTO THE MAT WITH A POWERSLAM!!!-

Rich Russillo: No wait! Korey Gaines managed to transition into a Reverse DDT in midair planting Mercer McKay face first on the ring mat! Korey into the cover!!!

Referee: ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Referee: TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Referee: THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!

James Peters: Close call there! Korey Gaines nearly putting Mercer McKay away! But somehow the big man kicks out before three!

Rich Russillo: Both men are back up now as Korey Gaines stalks Mercer McKay into the corner as Mercer crawls away from him. But Mercer playing up the injury a bit as he suddenly grabs the legs of Korey, yanking him down face first into the middle turnbuckle pad. Korey bounces off the middle buckle as Mercer charges in with a Running Knee Strike to the head! Mercer grabs the head of Korey and whips him hard across the ring! Mercer charges in with a Stinger Splash!

James Peters: But Korey Gaines moves out of the way! Mercer McKay charges front first into the corner! Mercer whirls around as he charges at Korey with a Clothesline! But Korey ducks beneath and runs off the ropes! Korey ducks another Clothesline before running the ropes and leaping off the middle rope… Corkscrew Press!!! No! Mercer caught him and immediately connected with a Spinning Side Slam!!! This time Mercer got all of it! Mercer to the cover and he may be going home with a victory to the Black Cabin here tonight!!!

Referee: ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Referee: TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Referee: THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Persephone: THE MATCH IS NOT OVER! THE MATCH IS NOT OVER! THE MATCH IS NOT OVER!!

Rich Russillo: Korey Gaines did indeed kick out! Both men back up now as Mercer McKay slaps the mat in rage and annoyance he hasn’t finished Korey off yet. But Mercer not going to complain about getting to torture his victim any longer and Korey is fully at his control at this point in the match! Mercer waits for Korey to get up onto his hands and knees before charging in and connecting with a devastating Leg Drop to the back of the neck! Mercer just crushed Korey and he is out! But Mercer isn’t finished yet! He grabs Korey and tosses him across the ring like a rag doll.. Mercer runs the ropes… and connects with a big Running Splash to the gut of Korey! Korey is deceased and Mercer needs to just end things here before Korey gets hurt too badly! Come on Mercer, have some compassion for this poor kid!

James Peters: But Mercer clearly is not finished and he has some diabolical intentions in mind!

Rich Russillo: Wait Korey Gaines just bolted up and speared Mercer McKay out of his boots!!! Where did that energy come from?

James Peters: Both men have fallen out of the ring! Korey Gaines smashes Mercer McKay’s skull hard into the mat! But Mercer shoves Korey hard throwing him off him! Korey goes back first into the side of the ring! Korey tries to roll back into the rin-

Rich Russillo: But Mercer stops him and throws him across the ringside area back first into the steel steps!

Persephone: THE REFEREE IS COUNTING! THE REFEREE IS COUNTING! THE REFEREE IS COUNTING!

Referee: ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! FIVE!

Rich Russillo: Korey Gaines just whipped a steel chair at Mercer McKay!

Persephone: :lupe: !!!

James Peters: Mercer ducked it! That probably would have been a disqualification if it had hit!

Persephone:  !!!

Referee: SIX! SEVEN! EIGHT!

James Peters: Mercer McKay just speared Korey Gaines right into the side of our announce desk! He picks Korey up and slams him onto the steps!

Referee: NINE!!!

Rich Russillo: Mercer with a huge splash to Korey on top of the steel steps! He just crushed him!

Persephone: TEN!!!! :blessed:

Referee: TEN!!! RING THE BELL!!!

Rich Russillo: Neither man got in the ring!!!

(DING! DING! DING!)

Bella Braxton: As a result of a double count out… the referee has declared this match… a NO CONTEST!!!

Crowd: BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!

James Peters: Mercer McKay is still going after Korey Gaines!

Rich Russillo: But Korey moves out of the way causing Mercer to punch the steel steps! Korey jumps on top of Mercer and both men are wildly throwing punches! We have lost control out here!!!

(Backstage officials and security as well as a number of developmental wrestlers come randomly running out to ringside to separate them.)

Crowd: LET THEM FIGHT! LET THEM FIGHT! LET THEM FIGHT! 👏

Rich Russillo: Wow this match just absolutely melted down. I don’t know what to say.

James Peters: It is clear that the crowd wants to see more of this. Hopefully this will become a long running rivalry here on Voltage.

Persephone: Agreed. Wait, how long are we talking here?

Rich Russillo: This match may need to be settled in some other fashion than a standard wrestling match. Tensions have boiled over tonight in Alaska!

(The camera cuts to a commercial featuring the upcoming debuts of the 1960s animated Spider-Man villains in EAW.)

(The camera cuts backstage to Captain Charisma in his office, looking down at his phone, appearing as if he’s texting someone. Happy to see the Commissioner of Voltage, the fans begin to cheer once catching a glimpse of him. But Captain Charisma’s activity is interrupted by a knock on his door, which causes him to form a slight smirk on his face, and place the phone in the inside pocket of his suit jacket, directing his attention to the closed door.)

Captain Charisma: Come in!

(The door clicks open, but the camera doesn’t show who has entered, remaining on Captain Charisma who extends his hand out.)

Captain Charisma: Just the two people I wanted to see, glad you could join me.

(Daryl Kinkade enters the frame, which garners a pop from the audience in Alaska. Kinkade can be seen wearing a brown waistcoat over denim blue dress shirt, and matching brown pants. He proceeds to shake Captain Charisma’s hand, matching Captain Charisma with a slight smirk on his face.)

Daryl Kinkade: Believe me, the pleasure is all mine, especially if this meeting is about what I think it’s about.

(Captain Charisma finishes shaking hands with Daryl, and extends his over to Candice Blair, who enters the frame as well, wearing a satin silver dress with black heels, but not garnering the same reaction as Daryl. In fact, getting loud boos from the audience in Alaska, not that she notices, because Blair is in a world of her own, smiling ear to ear, even after the handshake ends, hardly unable to contain her excitement.)

Captain Charisma: First of all, congratulations to the both of you on securing briefcases in the scaffold of opportunity match. I know it wasn’t easy, especially against six other hungry competitors, who were just as eager to climb up the ladder here on Voltage.

Candice Blair: Thank you.

Captain Charisma: Now, you’re probably wondering what your opportunities exactly are. Well, after all your hard work, I knew it had to be good, which is why both your opportunities will be a number one contendership match that will take place on the second installment of… SUPER VOLTAGE!

(Daryl and Candice look at one another briefly, some tension already starting to firm, but both direct their attention back to Captain Charisma, clearly intrigued at the prospect.)

Daryl Kinkade: Number one contender’s match for what exactly? Hardcore Title?

Captain Charisma: While I do hold that championship in the highest of regards, no, I want you to think just a little bit bigger, Daryl. Because what I’m offering is an opportunity to compete for one of the two world championships that are currently on Voltage.

(The crowd roars in anticipation at the prospect of such a major match, wanting to see either competitor go after one of the two world titles currently on Voltage, which Captain Charisma picks up on, looking around the office, and soaking in the audience’s cheers, realizing he made the right decision. As if their attitudes weren’t already good, both Daryl and Candice somehow manage to perk up even more, and Daryl proceeds to pat Captain Charisma on the shoulder, keeping his hand placed there.)

Daryl Kinkade: To think, I would’ve been happy with just a shot at the Hardcore Championship, you’ve really outdone yourself.

Candice Blair: I agree!

(Candice excitedly claps.)

Candice Blair: Keep making decisions like that, and maybe you could become half as brilliant as Eden!

(Candice keeps a smile plastered on her face, unaware of what she said wrong while Captain Charisma is a bit taken aback by her backhanded compliment.)

Captain Charisma: Uh, thanks?

Candice Blair: You’re so very welcome! :montez:

Captain Charisma: I thought you two would find the prize worthwhile, especially you, Daryl, seeing as you’ve come close to having that title in your possession this season.

Daryl Kinkade: No kidding. I’ve been waiting for another opportunity like this, because believe me, that loss to Minerva is still fresh in my mind, and all I’ve been able to think about is getting back to where I once was. It feels good to finally come close to being there.

Captain Charisma: Yeah, but keep in mind, you won’t be facing Minerva this time. Should you beat Candice, you will find yourself against either Myles or the monster that is Samael.

Daryl Kinkade: I’m aware, but I’m also aware that anything can happen on any given night here in EAW. Yeah, Myles may have beaten Minerva, something I couldn’t do, but that doesn’t automatically make him bulletproof either. Because I’ve leveled up since that Minerva match, King of Elite was proof of it when, like you said, I beat six other competitors to get my hands on the briefcase. I know how much I’ve improved since Rise of the Resistance, but I’m still not quite sure the whole world does just yet, which is what I’m planning to change once I get my next shot at the EAW World Championship.

Candice Blair: Speaking of, when do I get a shot at Dr. Bethany Blue?

(Daryl Kinkade raises an eyebrow at Candice Blair thinking it’s already a done deal, but bites his tongue, allowing Captain Charisma to speak up.)

Captain Charisma: Oh, right! I almost forgot. Well, considering you do make it past Daryl, Candicee… which I have no doubts about either of your abilities to do so, that’d grant you a Universal Women’s Championship match at Grand Rampage!

(Once again, Captain Charisma acknowledges the loud cheers coming from the audience.)

Captain Charisma: Wow, I am on a roll today. But drawing attention back to the two of you, I imagine your motivation is at an all time high right now, not just being able to compete for the World Title, but to do it at one of our biggest shows of the year, which will have all eyes on you.

Candice Blair: I LOVE it! Competing against Dr. Bethany Blue at Grand Rampage will be amazing, but you know what? Bringing that title, a title that is fit only for the best of all Disney princesses, to Team Eden will be so amazing! If anyone should be holding a world championship, and be seen as the face of the brand, it should be one of us, of course.

Daryl Kinkade: :usure:

Captain Charisma: Yes, this could be good redemption for you, Candice, I realize Team Eden’s chance to bring gold home didn’t necessarily pan out at King of Elite.

Candice Blair: Unfortunately, thanks to a certain someone. But live, laugh, love is what I say. Keeping the Hardcore division contained would’ve been great for us, but leading the brand would be better.

Daryl Kinkade: Team Eden? Leading the brand? If you ask me, that sounds like a nightmare, mainly knowing who’s on that team. For Voltage’s sake, I promise you won’t get close to a world championship, because I’m gonna end your pursuit before it can even begin.

(Candice’s smile fades a bit, beginning to get slightly irritated at the words from Kinkade.)

Candice Blair: I disagree, but to each their own I guess. Voltage would be in worse hands with you if you were being honest, seeing as you’ve yet to escape Charlie Marr’s shadow.

Daryl Kinkade: You think so?

Candice Blair: I know so.

Daryl Kinkade: Well, I know that I’ve taken down a member of your team before, and I can do it again.

Candice Blair: Oh yes, you took Ronan, who- mind you, was barely focused at Wicked Games. That doesn’t necessarily equate to being able to defeat me, who is one-hundred focused ahead of our clash, because I’m fighting for a cause bigger than myself, which you could join, my offer still stands about needing someone to keep Ronan in check, and you can take that up… after i beat you.

Daryl Kinkade: I’m good, I’m doing well on my own, and unlike you, unlike Sierra, and unlike Ronan, I don’t need to align with someone more powerful than me to get ahead here.

Candice Blair: How dare you? :picard: Consider the offer revoked!

Daryl Kinkade: Go-

(Candice Blair proceeds to slap Daryl, which causes him to smirk, getting her riled up.)

Daryl Kinkade; Seems I’ve struck a nerve, but since you want to put your hands on me.

(Daryl Kinakde starts rolling up his sleeves, preparing to fight Candice, who gets on the other side of Captain Charisma, and continues running her mouth, but Captain Charisma starts objecting.)

Captain Charisma: Guys.

(Daryl and Candice continue exchanging words, ignoring Captain Charisma.)

Captain Charisma: Guys.

(Again, the same events happen, which starts to irritate him some more.)

Captain Charisma: GUYS!

(Finally, Candice and Daryl’s bickering is brought to an end, and Captain Charisma regains his composure, fixing his suit.)

Captain Charisma: Save it for Super Voltage II.

Daryl Kinkade: Yeah, the same place I’m gonna punch my ticket to Grand Rampage. See you there, Candice.

(Daryl stares down Candice before walking out of the office, which leaves just Blair and Captain Charisma.)

Candice Blair: Forget him. Whether he likes it or not, Voltage will soon be run by Team Eden.

(Captain Charisma thinks about this, and a look of horror forms on his face. Meanwhile, Candice has a giant smile on hers while envisioning this future as the camera fades into a commercial break.)

COMMERCIAL

(Sunday Night Voltage slowly fades backstage after the commercial and toward one of the locker rooms. From previous times, it was made clear that it was the locker room of the Ice Aces, which was incredibly quiet, too quiet to be honest. ARIA wasn’t there as she was preparing for her match later tonight, but as for Usagi and Ayu? Well… they were simply sitting there in silence, without one single word being spoken to one another since they entered a few minutes ago to sit down. They didn’t really have anything to do at the moment, they didn’t have any matches tonight, they were simply there to reflect on what had happened. The two of them were very much upset at what happened at King of Elite, they failed once more. They failed once again when trying to get a shot at the Unified Tag Team Championships, and they were tired. They weren’t in the best moods, it was getting too quiet. It was usually in these kinds of situations that Ayu spoke up to break silence, but in a rare instance it was Usagi as she tried putting up a weak smile.)

Usagi Senshi: Hey, let’s not just sit here doing nothing, let’s do something! Let’s go get… ice cream or something, go watch a movie, play some video games, you like playing video games yourself! I don’t play them, learning how to use one of those controllers is hard enough, but I can do my best to learn to play them with you!

(Usagi was saying anything that came to her head, but Ayu wasn’t having any of it. She wasn’t fixated on hearing Usagi, her look had a sense of nothingness to it, it was incredibly rare to see that in her. Usagi’s smile slowly faded away as she spoke up again with a less excited and more serious tone in her voice.)

Usagi Senshi: Ayu… please, I know it isn’t much, I am not the best when it comes to cheering people up. But I am really trying my best here to make you feel anything other than grief, I really am. I know it sucks, I know it is horrible having to come so close yet so far, I hate it. I hate that feeling of being stuck deep in my soul and not being able to get rid of it, but we have been through worse and have come out of it still on our feet. I know this was our chance to get back into the tag title picture and another opportunity has slipped through our fingers, but we can’t let that kind of thing knock us down again, we can… try again in the future, train once again, give it our all, we can’t just give up here-

(Usagi then stopped talking when she saw Ayu continuing to be silent and not say anything to her, she wasn’t even looking directly at her eyes. Usagi slowly turned away from her and looked down at the ground thinking on what to do now, she didn’t want to see Ayu like this any longer. But before she could think of anything else to say, Ayu ended up speaking.)

Ayu Megumi: This is all my fault, isn’t it?

(Usagi’s eyes widened in response when she heard that and quickly turned back to Ayu after she uttered those kinds of words. Usagi felt a sense of confusion and worry when she heard Ayu say that. Usagi didn’t waste any time at all in responding to her and speaking up for herself.)

Usagi Senshi: W… what? Ayu- no, Ayumu, why are you saying those kinds of things? Don’t blame yourself for the things that have happened, it isn’t any of your fault at all, alright-

Ayu Megumi: No, it is all my fault Usagi, don’t even try to comfort me and tell any lies. The reason that we haven’t been able to win the Tag Team Championships sooner, the reason that the Ice Aces to this day are still being treated the way they are, the reason we have continued to fight and fight and we haven’t been able to get anywhere at all? It is because of me, I let ARIA down, I let you down… so many times all because I wasn’t strong enough. I am just simply holding you back, and I am not happy at all with the performance I put into the match. You went through heaven and Earth to make sure we didn’t lose, and me? You deserve better than what I ended up giving.

(Usagi couldn’t believe what she was hearing from Ayu, hearing those words coming out from her simply started to form little cracks in her heart. She grabbed both of her hands and tried to make Ayu turn her head to look at her, the two staring back at each other with Usagi’s eyes filled with worry and Ayu’s eyes without any light and full of regret, but that didn’t stop Usagi from saying what she really felt.)

Usagi Senshi: Ayumu, please, don’t say those kinds of words. Don’t let those thoughts of yours bring you down and tell you that you aren’t up to par, you shouldn’t let that happen to you, alright? I know that you are stronger than that, I have known you for all of these years and I know how amazing you truly are. It isn’t just a flashy nickname, it is who you truly are deep inside. You are nothing short of amazing because you went out there and you still fought with all that you had. It is inevitable we are going to encounter bittersweet losses throughout our careers, but that is just what life is about. You have to deal with the rain to see the beauty of the rainbow. You shouldn’t let that attitude bring you down, I was the one who ended up getting pinned, I am just as unhappy about the situation as you are. But what happened wasn’t your fault and it will never be your fault-

(It was then that Ayu simply ended up pushing Usagi’s hands away and looking away once more as Usagi simply sat there in silence at her actions, and before she could say anything else, Ayu’s words felt like a dagger to her cracked heart.)

Ayu Megumi: I am not sure this is working out Usagi-Chan.

(Usagi didn’t even know what to say at that point, she felt a swirl of emotions hit her and she couldn’t find or think of the right kind of words to say to Ayu. Could she even say anything at all that could help Ayu out? She didn’t know by this point, she said after all that this wasn’t working out but… why?)

Usagi Senshi: W…What do you mean Ayumu? I-I don’t understand-

Ayu Megumi: I am talking about our tag team, us teaming and fighting together? I think it isn’t working out anymore, hearing you say all of those things to me and not giving up, continuing to hope after all of this time? That is why you deserve something better than the spot you are currently at. You are such an incredible person and wrestler, you have all of the talent in the world and you have been able to show that so many times and you haven’t been rewarded because of that. You should have the opportunity to succeed without having to keep being dragged down because of me. The reason why we haven’t been able to succeed as a team? The reason we aren’t Unified Tag Team Champions yet? It is all because of me.

(Usagi didn’t want to hear that, she didn’t want the person she loved the most to give up like that and throw away her dreams, she didn’t want to believe it and stay silent for that.)

Usagi Senshi: Ayumu, you don’t have to believe those kinds of thoughts, you don’t have to let them bring you down. You are the person who I love the most, I know what you can truly do and that is being more than simply deadweight, my dream? I want to make it come true alongside you, please, just listen to me-

(Ayu then got up and turned her back on Usagi as Usagi’s words left her mouth again, not having anything else to say.)

Ayu Megumi: I just…need some time to think about all of this. I want to be alone right now. I will see you back at the hotel.

(And without saying anything else, Ayu walked forward and left through the door. Usagi tried to move over and grab her hand one last time, but Ayu walked faster and left before she could grab her hand. Usagi could only stare down at the floor as tears slowly started to swell up around her eyes, she moved over to slam the door shut and after a few seconds, silence fell again. Sunday Night Voltage then faded away from the backstage area from there.)

(“Spaceship II” by Chance The Rapper and Alex Wiley plays as the crowd immediately showers Sierra Everett in boos. She walks out wearing all red and doesn’t pay any attention to the reaction in any way like she usually would, soaking the boos in. Sierra looks very confident tonight and it is seen in the look on her face, as she has a smirk as she makes her way down the ramp and towards the ring.)

Bella Braxton: THE FOLLOWING CONTEST IS SET FOR ONE FALL!!

Crowd: ONE FALL!!!

Bella Braxton: INTRODUCING FIRST….FROM CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA….WEIGHING IN AT 132 POUNDS…SHE IS “THE CROWN JEWEL!!!”……SIIERRRRRAAAA EVVEEREETTTTT!!!!

James Peters: You just know that she’s not one hundred percent after the hell she went through in the Scaffold match back at King Of Elite. However, we know that isn’t going to stop her because she’s hungry, hungry to get a big win under her belt which she has a golden opportunity to do right now!

Rich Russillo: That’s true. She has a tough match on her hands this week, though. While she has the chance to get a huge win, it definitely won’t be easy for her.

(‘DESTINY” by Saori Yoshida plays as the crowd gives ARIA a monster reaction. ARIA scans the crowd soaking it in while walking to the ring with her Specialists Championship around her waist. ARIA looks at her opponent, and she has a focused look on her face, not spending too long on the stage as she begins walking down the ramp, making her first match entrance following her successful title defense at King of Elite.)

Bella Braxton: AND HER OPPONENT….FROM CHANDLER, ARIZONA….WEIGHING IN AT 110 POUNDS….SHE IS THE REIGNING EAW SPECIALISTS CHAMPION….”THE SACRED DETECTIVE”….ARRRRIIIIIIIAAAAAAA!!!!

James Peters: #AndStill. ARIA retained her title against a very game and much improved Lexi back at King of Elite, and now we wonder what’s next in this reign of hers. Answers should be a little more clearer after tonight and I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for her.

Persephone: Mhm. Can’t wait. I’m sure whatever comes her way will result in some exciting matches so I’m sure it’ll be very fun!

(Ding! Ding! Ding!)

James Peters: And this one is underway as ARIA and Sierra circle the ring, and they look to start off by testing the other’s strength as they both hold up their right arm and lock hands…..BUT SIERRA WITH A KICK TO THE MIDSECTION!! AND THEN SIERRA BEGINS TO HAMMER AWAY AT THE BACK, BUT NOT FOR LONG AS ARIA DRIVES HER BACK FIRST INTO THE CORNER! Sierra immediately throws her upper body through the rope to try and force ARIA to back up and the referee creates separation.

Sierra Everett: (no mic) Just back on up a little bit, okay?

Rich Russillo: ARIA kindly backs away and invites Sierra to the middle of the ring to fight her. After a few moments, we’re back at square one here as this time the two of them lock up in a collar and elbow tie-up in the center of the ring! ARIA quickly backs Sierra up into the corner, but Sierra tries to back away as the referee quickly steps in to create a bit of separation – AND ANOTHER CHEAPSHOT RIGHT HAND FROM SIERRA! Sierra runs and delivers a dropkick that causes ARIA to stumble back into the opposite corner….AND HERE COMES SIERRA WHO DELIVERS A LEAPING FOREARM STRIKE IN THE CORNER BEFORE FOLLOWING IT UP WITH A RUNNING HIP TOSS!

Persephone: Sierra seems proud of her work in the early goings as she approaches ARIA and goes to pick her up by the head – BUT ARIA SLAPS THE HANDS AWAY AND DELIVERS SEVERAL RIGHT AND LEFTS TO THE FACE AND KICKS TO THE LOWER BODY…AND THEN A STEP UP KNEE ACROSS THE BRIDGE OF THE NOSE THAT DROPS SIERRA LIKE A SACK OF POTATOES! Sierra quickly rolls under the rope to the outside to regroup a little bit, BUT NOT FOR LONG AS ARIA LEAPS OVER THE TOP AND LANDS ON TOP OF SIERRA WITH A TOPE CON HILO!!! ARIA is feeling absolutely fired up as she pumps the crowd up.

(Instant replay of the picture perfect Tope Con Hilo from ARIA to Sierra on the outside.)

Rich Russillo: And ARIA wastes no time in getting Sierra up and rolling her back inside the ring as she climbs up the apron and majes her way up top! What does the Specialists Champ have in mind here? AND ARIA DELIVERS A CROSSBODY FROM THE TOP ROPE AND FOLLOWS THROUGH IT WITH THE FIRST PINFALL OF THE MATCH!!

OOOOOONNNNNNEEEEEEE!!!

TTTWWWWWWWOOOOOOOO!!!!

James Peters: And Sierra kicks out of it before trying to squirm her way back out of the ring…but ARIA grabs ahold of her tights not letting her go anywhere! ARIA tries picking her up – BUT SIERRA GRABS HER ARM AND YANKS IT BACKWARDS INTO THE TURNBUCKLE! A potential trap there from Sierra that ARIA walked into as Sierra stands back up as ARIA rises in the corner holding her shoulder in a little bit of pain. AND THEN SIERRA RELENTLESSLY BEGINS KICKING ARIA IN THE CORNER OVER AND OVER! But the referee backs her up a bit as Sierra holds her arms up in innocence.

Rich Russillo: AND HERE COMES SIERRA WHO DELIVERS A RUNNING KNEE IN THE CORNER BEFORE FOLLOWING IT UP WITH A RUNNING BULLDOG! Sierra has all of the momentum going for herself right now as she makes her way up to the corner and ascends up the top rope – AND SIERRA FLIES AND DELIVERS A FROG SPLASH RIGHT ON TOP OF THE SPECIALISTS CHAMPION!! AND THEN SIERRA GOES FOR HER FIRST COVER OF THE MATCH!

OOOOOONNNNNNEEEEEEE!!!

TTTWWWWWWWOOOOOOOO!!!

Persephone: ARIA WITH THE KICKOUT! And Sierra wastes no time in going back on the attack as she mounts over ARIA and begins driving the right hand into the face of ARIA who is trying her best to cover up but isn’t having too much luck! Sierra is absolutely relentless right now as we can almost see the smoke coming from those punches that she’s throwing in there. Sierra a few seconds later stands ARIA back up quickly and balances her up against the ropes, and delivers an irish whip into the opposite ropes, but ARIA slides under her legs before standing to face her back – AND ARIA TAKES SIERRA DOWN WITH A REVERSE DDT!! ARIA though doesn’t go for the cover likely knowing it’s gonna take way more than that as she stands up checking her lip for blood before quickly turning her attention back on ARIA who is stirring to her feet –

James Peters: AND ARIA RUNS AND SPRINGBOARDS OFF THE SECOND ROPE GOING FOR A SPRINGBOARD CROSSBODY….BUT ARIA CATCHES AND PLANTS HER WITH A REVERSE STO IN MID AIR!! :damn: What a beautiful counter there from Sierra Everett! And Sierra is back in control as she…SIERRA IMMEDIATELY TRANSITIONS INTO A CROSSFACE IN THE CENTER OF THE RING! ARIA TOOK A RISK AND IT MIGHT JUST END UP COSTING HER AS SIERRA IS WRENCHING BACK ON THAT CROSSFACE WITH NOWHERE TO GO FOR ARIA, WHAT IS SHE GOING TO DO HERE?! ARIA BEGINS TO DRAG HERSELF AND SHE IS GETTING CLOSER TO THE ROPES, SHE REACHES OUT AND IS INCHES AWAY…

Rich Russillo: SIERRA LETS GO KNOWING ARIA WAS ABOUT TO FORCE A BREAK, AND SHE DRAGS ARIA BACK TO THE MIDDLE OF THE RING, BUT ARIA FIGHT BACK BY USING HER FEET TO PUSH SIERRA INTO THE CORNER! That looks to have bought ARIA enough time to stand up as Sierra charges towards her – BUT ARIA SENDS SIERRA FLYING OVER THE TOP ROPE WITH A BACK BODY DROP!! BUT SIERRA HELD ON TO THE APRON AND ARIA IS UNAWARE OF IT! ARIA turns around – AND SIERRA GOES FOR A SLINGSHOT SPEAR FROM THE APRON…BUT OH MY GOD!! ARIA SOMEHOW COUNTERED IT INTO A DDT SPIKING SIERRA’S HEAD INTO THE MAT!! ARIA FLIPS SIERRA OVER AND HOOKS THE LEG AGAIN!!

OOOOOONNNNNNEEEEEEE!!!

TTTWWWWWWWOOOOOOOO!!!

James Peters: AND SIERRA KICKS OUT! And now it’s ARIA who thinks on what to do next. I still am in disbelief how she saw that slingshot spear coming considering she didn’t know Sierra held onto the apron, just unbelievable almost like she had eyes at the back of her head there.

Rich Russillo: And ARIA gets her up and looks to be going for a suplex, but Sierra blocks it with her foot, And Sierra looks to go for a suplex of her own, but only gets her halfway off the ground as both women are battling for control here….AND THEN DRIVES HER BACK INTO THE CORNER! SHOULDER THRUST AFTER SHOULDER THRUST FROM SIERRA AS SHE RUNS TO THE OPPOSITE CORNER LOOKING TO BUILD ON THIS LITTLE BIT OF MOMENTUM, AND THEN SHE CHARGES…AND ARIA DELIVERS A REVERSE SWINGING REVERSE STO DRIVING SIERRA FACE FIRST INTO THE SECOND TURNBUCKLE! Sierra is face down on the second turnbuckle on her knees as ARIA runs to the opposite corner now, AND THEN RUNS AND DRIVES THE KNEES INTO THE BACK OF SIERRA’S NECK!! ARIA places her on the top rope :lupe:

Persephone: ARIA joins her on the top rope and she is setting up for the superplex!! But Sierra isn’t budging up there! Sierra is fighting back and now are going back and forth exchanging shots with the other, AND SIERRA HITS A ROUNDHOUSE KICK OUT OF NOWHERE TO THE SIDE OF THE HEAD! AND THEN FOLLOWS THAT UP WITH A SUNSET FLIP BOMB OFF THE TOP ROPE!!! ARIA LANDS HARD ON THE BACK OF THE HEAD AS SIERRA STACKS HER UP FOR THE PIN!!

OOOOOONNNNNNEEEEEEE!!!

TTTWWWWWWWOOOOOOOO!!!

TTTTTTHHHHHRRRRREEEEEEEE!!

James Peters: ARIA STAYS ALIVE! And Sierra right away begins to stalk ARIA like a predator does its prey….AND SIERRA GRABS THE HAIR AND PULLS HER DOWN FOR THE “APHRODITE’S KISS”, BUT ARIA SPINS OUT OF IT BEFORE SIERRA SWINGS AT THE HEAD, BUT SHE DUCKS IT AND HOOKS BOTH OF THE ARMS FROM BEHIND – THE TIGER SUPLEX FROM ARIA!! ARIA may have Sierra right where she wants her here as Sierra stands back up and turns around to face ARIA –

Rich Russillo: ARIA GRABS THE HEAD AND GOES FOR “RAINING CATS AND DOGS”!! BUT SIERRA PUSHES HER OFF BEFORE GOING FOR A RUNNING KNEE STRIKE…BUT ARIA SIDESTEPS AT THE LAST SECOND BEFORE RUNNING OFF THE ROPES AND THEN DRIVING HER RIGHT KNEE INTO THE SIDE OF SIERRA’S HEAD! ARIA backs into the corner and then goes up top, what does she have in mind? OH I THINK WE ALL KNOW WHAT SHE’S GOING FOR HERE…”2TF!!!” THE SPIRAL TAP FROM THE TOP ROPE!!!

Persephone: BUT SIERRA GOT THE KNEES UP!!! ARIA took a huge risk there and that may have just ended up costing her here….A SIERRA RIGHT AWAY TRANSITIONS INTO THE “PENDULUM SHIFT” CROSSFACE!! SIERRA APPLIES THE MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF PRESSURE ON THE SUBMISSION BENDING ARIA BACK LIKE A PRETZEL, AND ARIA MAY HAVE NO OTHER CHOICE BUT TO LIVE TO FIGHT ANOTHER DAY! But we all know that if ARIA’s going down she is gonna go down swinging as she’s still fighting to find a way out of this! AND SHE’S SOMEHOW DRAGGING HER WAY CLOSER TO THE ROPES INCH BY INCH! SIERRA IS SCREAMING AT HER TO TAP AS ARIA REACHES OUT….AND…SHE GRABS THE BOTTOM ROPE!! Sierra is forced to release the hold as she lets go and stands up looking to perhaps put this match away.

James Peters: The question is just how much does ARIA have left because it took a whole lot out of her to just barely get to the ropes. Sierra thinks of what to do – AND SHE EYES THE TOP ROPE ONCE AGAIN AS SHE CLIMBS UP TO THE TOP AND IS BEGGING ARIA TO STAND TURN AROUND…AND SIERRA LEAPS OFF AND CONNECTS WITH “THE HIGHS AND THE LOWS!!!” THE TOP ROPE STUNNER TAKES OUT ARIA AS SIERRA CRAWLS OVER AND MAKES THE COVER!! THIS HAS GOTTA DO IT!!

OOOOOONNNNNNEEEEEEE!!!

TTTWWWWWWWOOOOOOOO!!

TTTTTTHHHHHRRRRREEEEEEEEE!!!

Rich Russillo: ARE YOU KIDDING?! ARIA IS STILL ALIVE JUST BARELY GETTING THE SHOULDER OFF THE MAT!! The crowd is absolutely electric here tonight for this match and just came unglued as ARIA just kicked out after taking what she did from Sierra. Sierra is in shock as are all of us and now Sierra immediately gets her up ..AND SHE SETS UP FOR “MOUNT EVERETT!!” BUT ARIA COUNTERS A DELIVERS A RECOIL FACEBREAKER! Both women are down now for several moments before both slowly crawl away from the other and pull themselves up with the ropes on opposite ends of the ring and turn around to face the other –

James Peters: A EUROPEAN UPPERCUT FROM ARIA!! AND THEN A FOREARM FROM SIERRA! AN UPPERCUT FROM ARIA! AND THEN ANOTHER FOREARM STRIKE FROM SIERRA! AND THEN SIERRA GAINS THE UPPER HAND AS SHE KICKS THE KNEECAP OF ARIA AS SHE DROPS TO A KNEE AND THEN RUNS OFF THE ROPES – AND ARIA POPS UP AND DRILLS SIERRA WITH THE “ZIRCON CUTTER!!!!” THE CUTTER DROPS SIERRA OUT OF NOWHERE…AS ARIA ADDS ON TOP OF THAT BY DELIVERING A RUNNING STANDING SHOOTING STAR PRESS AND THEN GOES FOR THE COVER AND THE VICTORY!!

OOOOOONNNNNNEEEEEEE!!!

TTTWWWWWWWOOOOOOOO!!!

TTTTTTHHHHHRRRRREEEEEEEEE!!!

Persephone: AND SIERRA IS STILL ALIVE AS SHE KICKS OUT!! ARIA thinks of what next she has to do to put Sierra away for good before standing back up and stalks Sierra as she stirs back up to her feet…AND ARIA RUNS OFF THE ROPES – AND SHE HITS “JUSTICE 4 ALL” OR MORE KNOWN AS THE “J4A” RUNNING KNEE TO THE FACE!! ARIA TRIES TO CRAWL OVER TO MAKE THE COVER, BUT SIERRA FALLS OUT OF THE RING UNDER THE BOTTOM ROPE AND ARIA CAN’T BELIEVE IT!!

(The crowd rains down boos at how Sierra got out of being pinned.)

James Peters: That was either extreme luck or great ring awareness there from Sierra as this match looked over as ARIA seemed to have her dead to rights. ARIA is leaning on the bottom rope looking down at Sierra on the outside and she takes a deep breath and reaches through the second rope to grab Sierra and get her back inside the ring… AND UH OH!!! IT LOOKS LIKE SIERRA GOT A THUMB TO THE EYE THERE AS ARIA FALLS BACKWARDS INSIDE THE RING AND THE REFEREE IS COMPLETELY UNAWARE OF IT! A dirty tactic there from Sierra but we’re not surprised in the least. Sierra buys herself some much needed time before using the ring skirt to get to a vertical base and then sliding back inside the ring. AND SIERRA RUNS AND DELIVERS A SHINING WIZARD KICK TO THE BACK OF ARIA’S SKULL AND SHE FLIPS HER OVER AND GOES FOR ANOTHER COVER! WILL THIS BE ENOUGH FOR A VICTORY OVER THE SPECIALISTS CHAMPION?!

OOOOOONNNNNNEEEEEEE!!!

TTTWWWWWWWOOOOOOOO!!!

TTTTTTHHHHHRRRRREEEEEEEEE!!!

Rich Russillo: NO IT’S NOT AS ARIA AGAIN KICKS OUT! And you can tell that Sierra is getting a bit frustrated as she pounds the mat. She’s up and picks ARIA up from the front and it’s almost like dead weight – BUT WAIT!! ARIA MAY HAVE BEEN PLAYING POSSUM THERE AS SHE TAKES SIERRA DOWN TO THE MAT AND LOCKS IN THE “ARIA OF EXPERTISE”!!! THE CHICKEN WING CROSSFACE IS LOCKED IN AND SIERRA GOT CAUGHT THERE AND THIS ONE MAY BE ALL SHE WROTE!!

James Peters: THE SPECIALISTS CHAMPION HAS IT LOCKED IN GOOD, AND SIERRA HAS HER HAND UP AS IF SHE’S ABOUT TO TAP OUT…BUT SHE REFUSES AS SHE USES WHAT BIT OF ENERGY THAT SHE HAS LEFT TO DRAG HERSELF TO THE ROPES….AND SHE REACHES OUT AND GRABS IT!!! The crowd certainly doesn’t like it but you have to give credit for the resilience and guts that Sierra showed there in saving the match for herself in getting to the ropes. If you’re ARIA, you should ask “Now what?” because maybe we just saw Sierra take ARIA’s best shot there. How much do bith truly have left in the tank?

Persephone: And ARIA slowly stands up and approaches Sierra who has barely moved, and ARIA with a sense of urgency runs off of the ropes and…SHE GOES FOR “J4A” FOR THE SECOND TIME IN THIS MATCH – BUT WHAT?!?! SIERRA GRABS THE LEGS IN MID AIR AND DROPS HER BACKFIRST TO THE MAT AND HOOKS BOTH LEGS….AND SHE FALLS AND LAUNCHES ARIA INTO THE CORNER….AND OH MY!!! ARIA WENT FLYING HIGH AND SHE HITS THE TOP OF THE RINGPOST FACE FIRST!! ARIA STEPS OUT OF THE CORNER – THE INSIDE CRADLE FROM SIERRA!!!

OOOOOONNNNNNEEEEEEE!!!!

TTTWWWWWWWOOOOOOOO!!!!

TTTTTTHHHHHRRRRREEEEEEEE!!!!!

(Ding! Ding! Ding!)

(“Spaceship II” by Alex Wiley and Chance The Rapper plays as Sierra quickly rolls out of the ring and smiles from ear to ear celebrating on the outside. The boos from the crowd are thunderous right now.)

Bella Braxton: HERE IS YOUR WINNER….SIIERRRRRRAAAA EVVVERRRETTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!

James Peters: Did she get her?! Yes she did! Sierra Everett has just beaten the Specialists Champion! Wow!

Rich Russillo: Wow indeed, we talked about her getting back on track, she just did that in a huge way in an amazing match. What a win and congratulations to Sierra!

James Peters: That isn’t the type of loss ARIA could’ve wanted after a successful defense, but at the same time she could not have seen any of that coming!

Rich Russillo: That was a very surprising win, and I’m sure Sierra will be more than happy with how things turned out tonight!

(The final shot is of Sierra celebrating at the top of the ramp while ARIA looks on from in the ring just disappointed in herself that she let that match slip away. From there, Voltage fades to a commercial break.)

(Commercial for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, now on Disney+.)

(The show opens back to Bella Braxton standing inside the ring.)

Bella Braxton: Ladies and gentlemen please welcome the NEW Universal Women’s Champion…DR.BETHANY BLUEEEE!!!!

(“Somebody Get Me A Doctor” by Van Halen plays as the crowd erupts at the introduction. Dr. Bethany Blue walks out with her newly won title around her waist. She unstraps it and then holds it up on her way to the ring.)

Rich Russillo: And here she is! Here is the new Universal Women’s Champion who overcame all of the heartache she’s been put through the past month and took down Sienna Jade and here she is holding her first World Championship, and what a moment that was as the building was shaking, and the energy in the arena tonight us almost matching it.

(Bethany steps into the ring and poses with her championship in the ring before taking a microphone and placing the Universal Women’s Championship on her shoulder as “Somebody Get Me A Doctor” begins to die down. Bethany scans around the arena and soaks in the reaction from the crowd, she looks as if she’s having a hard time speaking just soaking in this moment that she has been working her tail off for over the past several years )

Crowd: YOU DESERVE IT! 👏

(Bethany hears the ovation and looks at the title, clearly still overcome with emotion. She takes a deep breath before beginning to speak.)

Dr. Bethany Blue: You guys are right. I do deserve it.

(The crowd pops loudly for this and Bethany grins.)

Dr. Bethany Blue: Who would have ever thought, right? Who would have thought that four years ago when I walked in the EAW doors that this doctor would be a World Champion someday?

(The crowd again erupts for her as she again takes in the moment staring at her title, just thinking of the long journey it took to get here.)

Dr. Bethany Blue: It honestly has been a long time coming for me. Last weekend was a lot more than just winning my first World Championship and getting revenge on Sienna. It was a culmination of the long journey I have taken to get to this moment. I had one of the best rookie years you could have imagined, having one of the best undefeated streaks you could have imagined. I was winning my first championship while only being on the roster for a few months, while competing against the best in main event after main event. But afterwards, even with a few championship reigns in between, it just felt like something wasn’t clicking. It wasn’t too long ago that my confidence was at an all time low, but that all changed when I met my now husband Adam who helped pick me up after everything I went through both professionally and personally. The next thing you know it, I’m the hottest act in this entire company beginning last year when I won that Empress of Elite crown. In that run came The Prescription where Sheridan and I took the tag division by storm and dominated it. After that though there were bigger fish to fry, and that was my first World Championship. Ever since winning this crown, I picked my spot waiting in the shadows and King of Elite was the perfect time. I was patient and wanted the moment to be special for me and for there to be no doubt that I deserve to hold this title and that opportunity rose at King of Elite. How I came to win it wasn’t something I had in mind with Sienna deciding to make everything personal for no reason like trashing my office and then attacking my innocent father.

(Bethany looks down for a second, running her fingers through her sandy blonde hair reflecting on what has happened over the past month of everything Sienna put her through.)

Dr. Bethany Blue: But instead of lowering myself to her level and doing something even.more despicable, I decided to use her tactics to get under my skin in my ultimate plot for revenge, which was taking what was most important to her which was the Universal Women’s Championship. I enjoyed watching her world crumble around her while I took her place at the mountaintop. And now that I’m here at the top, trust me when I say I’m going to work three times as hard to stay here than I did to get here. How did that plan work out? Take a good look at what’s on my shoulder and answer it yourself, it was worth it and went just how I envisioned it. I knew I always had what it took to be a world champion and at King of Elite I proved it against someone who crossed the line and did the worst things she could to try and prove otherwise. After weeks of mocking me, Sienna wasn’t able to stop me from reaching my goal of finally becoming the Universal Women’s Champion….and things are only going to go up from here. King of Elite honestly was one of the greatest moments of my life. The moment that championship was handed to me, I was overcome with emotion of how many obstacles I had to bypass to get here and knowing all of my hard work paid off in the end.

(A coy smile touched Bethany’s lips.)

Dr. Bethany Blue: And then it got better later on when I got to share my happiness with my husband, and we got to celebrate our big moments together at the end of the show/ The was truly a moment I won’t ever forget.

(The crowd cheers again.)

Dr. Bethany Blue: But now it’s time to think of the future and just how much I can make of this reign and be one of the best champions in this title’s lineage. As I said earlier, things are only going to go up from here and I know there are going to be a lot of people gunning to take my spot, and I wouldn’t want it any other way. I’m at the very top of my game and this title on my shoulder proves it, not to mention big match after big match that I have won over the past year. Right now I am drawing the battle line and I look forward to showing each woman who dares cross the line just what I’m capable of just like I did to the previous holder of this title. I’m actually excited for the chance to defend this title, and with this excitement it brings me much pleasure to make this announcement. So what’s next for me and this championship everybody may ask? Well, I have the answers as I just got word from Captain Charisma that next week on Voltage, there will be a number one contenders match for my title featuring Usagi Senshi and a former Universal Women’s Champion in her own right, Harper Lee.

(The crowd pops at that announcement of the match being made as Bethany gives a smile before raising the microphone back to her lips.)

Dr. Bethany Blue: I want to take this time to wish both of those women the best of luck as I’m sure it’s going to be a great battle, but I’m going to issue a warning to both of you right now and I hope you’re watching and listening closely. Luck is exactly what you’re going to need stepping into the ring with me at this stage of my career while I am at the very top of my game. I didn’t come this far only to have it taken away so quickly, so winning this match may feel like you’ve hit the lottery, but the only thing you’re going to get cashed out is being Dr. Bethany Blue’s first victim in her championship reign. I am going to be watching very closely and I promise you that I’m gonna be ready for whoever comes out on top and I hope for your sake that you better be ready as well because under no circumstances am I allowing my title reign get its legs cut before even taking off. That’s not only a message to you two but to pretty much any woman in this company who dares try and stand in my way of greatness. I’ve accomplished so much in my four years here and the scary thing is, you haven’t seen anything yet because I’m just getting started. There’s only one last thing to say…

Dr. Bethany Blue: Welcome to the era of Dr. Bethany Blue….U.W.C!

(Bethany drops the mic and raises the Universal Women’s Title up high to a loud ovation as “Somebody Get Me A Doctor” picks back up through the PA system. She poses with the title all the way up the ramp.)

James Peters: Well you heard her, the champ is ready to defend the title drawing the battle line and we’ll find out who her first challenger is next week as Usagi Senshi and former Universal Women’s Champion Harper Lee face off for the right to be the new number one contender!

(The final shot is of Bethany holding the title high up on the ramp before fading into a commercial.)

(Promotional ad for Tempest, where Myles defends his EAW World Championship against Samael.)

(Voltage returns to ringside, where Bella Braxton is seen with a microphone.)

Bella Braxton: Ladies and gentlemen… The following contest is scheduled for ONE FALL!!!!

Crowd: ONE FALL!!!!

(‘Down With the Sickness’ by Disturbed hits, as Samael steps out onto the stage. He looks intimidating as he stands at the top of the stage and looks around the arena. He then makes his way down to the ring, seemingly focused on nothing more than the match that’s ahead of him as he does not waste any time walking down the ramp.)

Bella Braxton: Introducing first! Weighing in at 285 pounds!!! SAMAEL!!!

Persephone: Last weekend, Samael put his contract on the line in that scaffold match, and still emerged victorious with that same opportunity. Tonight he chose to cash in that contract, earning him an EAW Championship match at Tempest!

James Peters: And tonight he gets to test himself against a current champion. If Samael is able to defeat Hikari Kanno tonight, that’d have to say a lot about what kind of competitor he really is heading into his match against Myles.

(“As Long As I Love” by TK from Ling Tosite Sigure hits, as the crowd goes into a mixed reaction for the champion who steps out with the belt wrapped around her waist. She looks confident and ready to take on this next match, as she maKes her way down the entrance ramp, and towards the ring.)

Bella Braxton: And his opponent… From Okinawa, Japan!!! Weighing in at 121 pounds!!! THE HARDCORE CHAMPION!!! HIKARI KANNO!!!!

James Peters: Here comes Hikari Kanno who successfully defended the Hardcore title against Halsey Neel back at King of Elite!

Rich Russillo: But we have to acknowledge Ronan Malosi screwed Halsey Neel out of that one.

James Peters: Sure, but that doesn’t change the fact that Kanno is still champ and that tonight she has yet another tough battle ahead of her.

(DING! DING! DING!)

Rich Russillo: There’s the bell and now this one is underway! Samael steps towards Hikari, as he towers over her. The much larger Grim Reaper stares directly at Hikari, as Hikari shoves him!!

James Peters: But Samael doesn’t move!! He stays right in place almost like he is a brick wall!! Hikari now fires away with a right hook!! Now a left forearm smash!!! But still, it’s Samael who doesn’t budge!!

Persephone: The Hardcore Champ is definitely going to have her work cut out for her tonight, but she embraces that challenge, as he fires away with another hook!! Another forearm smash!!! And now a kick to the midsection!!!

Rich Russillo: Wait a second!! Samael caught Hikari’s boot on that kick!! He then throws it right down to the mat, as Hikari stumbles in place!! From here, it’s Samael who shoves Hikari back with tremendous force!!

James Peters: Hikari stumbles back a few feet, but stands her ground. Samael steps towards Hikari now, but The Hardcore Champion rushes him and connects with a running European uppercut that tags Samael right underneath the jaw, and snaps his head back!!

Rich Russillo: Samael is surely feeling that one right now! His head must be ringing, and with that strike, Hikari turns around and rushes to the side ropes!! She rebounds back towards Samael.. RUNNING BIG BOOT BY HIKARI!!!

Persephone: Samael is looking pretty groggy after that strike. He’s barely able to stand after being blasted by that big boot, but that’s exactly what Hikari wants!

Rich Russillo: And Hikari is working to take advantage of this, as she charges at Samael with a few more hooks and forearms!! The Grim Reaper remains standing, but Hikari has been breaking him down bit by bit!!

James Peters: BASEMENT DROPKICK BY HIKARI CONNECTS RIGHT AT SAMAEL’S SHIN, AND DROPS HIM DOWN TO A KNEE!!!

Persephone: Hikari quickly turns around and runs to the side ropes!! She rebounds back!!! RUNNING BIG BOO-

Rich Russillo: NO!! SAMAEL USES HIS LOWERED LEVEL TO CONNECT WITH A BACK BODY DROP!!! HIKARI SLAMS DOWN HARD ONTO THE RING MAT AFTER THAT ONE!!!

James Peters: Early on it has been Hikari trying to orchestrate all of the offense. She’s been trying to take Samael down to the mat, but no matter what she does, he keeps himself up.

Rich Russillo: And at this very moment, she’s the one on the ground after being launched in mid air!!!

Persephone: Hikari slowly works up to her hands and knees, but Samael grabs a hold of her. He places her in a front facelock with his left arm wrapped around her head, then uses his right hand to throw hammer fist punches down onto her spine!!!

Rich Russillo: With each strike, Samael forces Hikari to collapse back down to the mat, but he immediately grabs her from off of the ground, puts her back into the facelock, then punches her right back down!!!

James Peters: One thing that I know is screwing with Hikari right now is the superhuman strength of Samael. The dude is an absolute freak of nature, and his strength is one of the reasons he is so hard to compete against!

Rich Russillo: After knocking Hikari down to the mat for the 5th time, Samael grabs Hikari from off of the ground, and lifts her up onto her shoulder. He then charges towards the corner at full speed!!! SNAKE EYES!!!

Persephone: NO!!! HIKARI SLIPS OUT THE BACKDOOR, AND SHOVES SAMAEL RIGHT INTO THE CORNER TURNBUCKLES!!

James Peters: And now Samael slowly turns around while clutching at his chest.. KNEE STRIKE TO THE MIDSECTION BY HIKARI!! ANOTHER!!! AND ANOTHER!!! Hikari is spamming these knee strikes and connecting on every single one of them!!!

Rich Russillo: Samael tries to defend himself, but these knee strikes keep coming through!! Eventually, he shoves Hikari back.. BUT SHE RESPONDS BY RUNNING BACK TOWARDS HIM AND CONNECTING WITH THE RUNNING BIG BOOT TO THE FACE!!!

James Peters: Samael staggers back and ends up against the side ropes!! He’s leaning against the ropes, as Hikari sees this and runs to the far ropes on the other side!! She springs off of the ropes, and rebounds back towards Samael!!! RUNNING CLOTHESLINE BY HIK—

Rich Russillo: NO!! SAMAEL DUCKS HIS SHOULDER AND LIFTS HIKARI OVER THE TOP ROPE AND SENDS HER DOWN TO RINGSI-

James Peters: NO!!! Hikari grabs a hold of the top rope and adjusts her body so that she lands on the ring apron behind Samael!!

Persephone: And from here it’s Hikari with another strong forearm smash!! This time it connects to the back of Samael’s head!! Samael quickly turns around, and connects with a strong right hand to the face that buckles Hikari’s knees and nearly knocks her off of the apron. The only reason she managed to remain on was because of her tight grip on the top rope!!

Rich Russillo: SPEAKING OF GRIP, SAMAEL JUST GRIPPED HIKARI’S THROAT!!! SHE’S STANDING ON THE RING APRON WITH SAMAEL READY TO LAUNCH HER DOWN TO RINGSIDE!!!!

James Peters: WAIT!!! KNEE STRIKE BY HIKARI!!! ANOTHER!!! AND ANOTHER!!!!

Rich Russillo: Samael releases his grip on Hikari’s throat, and takes a few steps back from the side ropes. He’s more towards the center, as he clutches at his stomach in pain! He looks up at Hikari who is still on the apron, then charges at her with full speed!!

Persephone: JUMPING CLOTHESLINE!!! HE’S TRYING TO KNOCK HER DOWN TO RINGSIDE!!!

Rich Russillo: BUT HIKARI GRABS THE TOP ROPE AND DROPS DOWN TO THE APRON, PULLING THE ROPE AND DUCKING UNDERNEATH SAMAEL’S CLOTHESLINE!!! THAT MISSED CLOTHESLINE RESULTED IN SAMAEL FORCEFULLY LANDING DOWN TO THE RINGSIDE FLOOR!!! That one had to hurt!!!

James Peters: Samael is down!! Samael is down! For someone who uses many suplex and lifting maneuvers, taking down the much larger Samael was going to be a challenge. However, she used his own momentum and rage against him just now, to deliver the most painful counter of this match.

Rich Russillo: This is the exact type of opening that Hikari needed. Neither of these two have had quite an advantage like this so far in this match, and now the Hardcore Champion is going to take advantage of this situation, as she drops down to the ringside floor, and makes her way over to Samael!

Persephone: Hikari reaches for Samael’s arm and places it behind his back in a hammer lock! Hikari raises his shoulder up off of the ground, THEN SLAMS IT BACK AGAINST THE THINLY PADDED RINGSIDE FLOOR!!!

James Peters: And since Samael’s arm was trapped in that hammerlock, his shoulder took even more damage!!

Rich Rusillo: Hikari raises Samael up to a seated position, then uses all of her strength to bring him up to his feet. Knee to the stomach by Hikari!!! She keeps the Hammer lock on his back, then rushes him towards the barricade!!!

James Peters: AND BANG!!! HIS SHOULDER COLLIDES WITH THAT THINLY PADDED BARRICADE!!!! HAMMERLOCK STILL INTACT!!!

Referee: One.. Two.. Three.. Four..

Persephone: And Samael clutches at his shoulder in pain!! Hikari with another knee to the stomach!! Another!! Hikari now grabs a hold of Samael and rushes him over… TO SMACK HIM AGAINST THE RING APRON!!! SAMAEL’S SHOULDER IS THROBBING NOW!!!

Referee: Five.. Six.. Seven…

James Peters: Hikari quickly rolls into the ring, then rolls right out to restart the count! Samael is leaned against the apron, and clutching at his shoulder.. BUT HIKARI DOESN’T CARE ABOUT HIS PAIN, AND BIG BOOTS HIM RIGHT AGAINST THE RIGHT SHOULDER!!

Rich Russillo: I see what she’s doing here! Wearing down Samael, and taking away his strength by banging his shoulder over and over!!

Referee: One.. Two..

James Peters: Hikari turns Samael so that he’s facing her, and.. THRUST KICK TO THE STOMACH BY HIKARI KANNO!!! THAT ONE SENDS SAMAEL BACK A FEW FEET!!!

Rich Russillo: The Hardcore Champ is giving us a great showing here, as she continues to keep the pressure on the much larger and stronger Samael. She isn’t allowing for him to start any offense, and that strategy has been helping her tremendously!

Persephone: Hikari runs in again.. RUNNING KNEE TO THE STOMACH BY HIKARI!!! Samael drops down to his knee, and clutches at his midsection. Hikari is in full control here, and grabs Samael by the head before putting him in a facelock!!

James Peters: Hikari lifts Samael up to his feet in this facelock- BUT WAIT!!! SAMAEL WITH A BURST OF ENERGY JUST SHOVED HIKARI BACK AGAINST THE EDGE OF THE RING APRON!!!! HIKARI YELPS OUT IN PAIN!!!

Referee: Three.. Four..

Rich Russillo: Hikari is clutching at her back. She’s in so much pain right now. Her spine probably feels like it’s been snapped in half!!

James Peters: Hikari takes a step away from the ring, as Samael is only a few feet away from her… BUT IT’S SAMAEL WITH A RUNNING DDT THAT SMACKS HIKARI’S FACE RIGHT AGAINST THE THINLY PADDED RINGSIDE FLOOR!!!

Persephone: Hikari rolls onto her back, and covers her face in pain from that DDT performed by Samael. She’s hurting, and Samael enjoys every second of it. He steps beside Hikari Kanno!! LEG DROP BY SAMAEL!!!

Rich Russillo: 285 pounds just crushed right into the head, face, and throat of Hikari just now. Pressed against that thinly padded ringside floor as well. That simply looked brutal and took a lot out of Hikari. I can barely even tell if she’s fully conscious right now, but regardless she looks broken down enough for Samael to grab her up from the ground, toss her into the ring, and I believe he’s going for the pin next.

James Peters: Yep!! Yep he is!! Samael just slid himself into the ring, and is now covering Hikari for the pin!!!

ONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!

TWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

THRRRRRR-

Rich Russillo: THERE’S THE KICKOUT BY HIKARI KANNO!!!

James Peters: Samael looks frustrated!! He’s starting to go into a rage, as he bangs his fist up against the mat!!! He then grabs Hikari from off of the ground and throws her into his arms!!!

Persephone: BEAR HUG!!!

Rich Russillo: The strength and power of Samael is simply just crushing the body of Hikari Kanno. Her ribs must feel like they’re about to snap, and her abdomen must feel like it’s about to explode!!! Samael is shaking and whirling Hikari around like she’s just a rag doll!!!

James Peters: The pain can be seen on Hikari’s face. Her expression tells it all!! The Hardcore Champion is in excruciating pain right now, and Samael’s grip is way too strong to overcome!!!

Rich Russillo: I think- WAIT!!! HIKARI RAISES HER FIST UP, AND PUNCHES SAMAEL RIGHT IN THE FACE!!! SINCE HIS ARMS ARE AROUND HIKARI’S WAIST, THERE’S NOTHING BLOCKING THESE POWERFUL PUNCHES FROM HIKARI!!!

James Peters: SAMAEL TAKES ANOTHER!! AND ANOTHER!!! HIKARI IS GOING TO BREAK HIS DAMN NOSE!!!

Rich Russillo: ANOTHER PUNCH BY THE HARDCORE CHAMPION!!!! AND ANOTHER!!!! AND- SAMAEL RELEASES HIKARI!!!

James Peters: Hikari has broken free!! She charges at Samael who is still covering his face!!! RUNNING SWINGING NECKBREAKER!!! IT CONNECTS!!! HIKARI JUST SNAPPED HIS HEAD AND NECK STRAIGHT DOWN TO THE MAT, AND NOW SHE GOES FOR THE PIN!!!!

ONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

TWWWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOO!!!!

THHHHHHHHHHRRR-

Rich Russillo: NO!!!! SAMAEL CLUTCHED AT HIKARI’S THROAT, AND SAT UP WITH IT!!!! HE’S WORKING UP TO HIS FEET, AND PLACES HER ARM OVER HIS SHOULDER!!!!

James Peters: CHOKESLAM!!!!!!

Persephone: Wait a second look!!! Samael’s arm is in pain!! It’s still hurting from bashing against everything while in Hikari’s hammerlock earlier!!! He doesn’t have the strength to lift Hikari up!!!

James Peters: AND HIKARI SMACKS HIS HAND FROM OFF OF HER THROAT!!! SHE THEN FOLLOWS UP WITH A BASEMENT DROPKICK!!!!

Rich Russillo: Samael falls to a knee, and Hikari instantly turns around to run to the far ropes!! She rebounds back-

Persephone: BUT SAMAEL GETS TO HIS FEET IN TIME TO CATCH HIKARI ON HER WAY BACK, AND FLIP HER UPSIDE DOWN IN A PILEDRIVER POSITION!!!

Rich Russillo: This is not good for Hikari!!! THIS IS NOT GOOD AT ALL!!! Samael keeps a hold of Hikari in this upside down position, as he steps towards the center of the ring!! Kanno flailing her legs and trying to find a way out of this!!!

James Peters: TOMBSTONE PILEDRI-

Persephone: Knee to the face by Hikari!!! Another!! And another! She’s doing this all while being upside down!!! Samael is losing his balance, as Hikari kips her legs over, and.. HIKARI HAS SAMAEL IN HER VERSION OF A PILEDRIVER POSITION!!! SHE CAN BARELY HOLD HIM UP FOR EVEN THIS SPLIT MOMENT…

James Peters: BUT SHE DROPS HIM ON HIS HEAD WITH THE HITODENASHI DRIVER!!!! SAMAEL JUST HAD 285 POUNDS DROPPED RIGHT ON HIS HEAD AND NECK!!!

Rich Russillo: And now it’s Kanno who keeps Samael on his back, as she tries to get the pinfall right here!!

ONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!

TWWWWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

THHHHHHHHHRRRRRRR-

James Peters: AND AGAIN IT’S SAMAEL WHO POWERS OUT!!!

Persephone: Hikari rolls herself off to the side, and looks directly at Samael!! She bangs her fist onto the mat, then rises up before stepping over towards Samael..

Rich Russillo: AND SHE STOMPS DOWN ONTO HIS MIDSECTION!!! AGAIN!!! AND AGAIN!!!

James Peters: Hikari now grabs a hold of Samael’s legs!! She’s trying to pretzel them up and tie them together, but Samael is fighting it!!

Rich Russillo: That’s the Memories of Miku!!! THE PARADISE LOCK! THAT’S WHAT SHE’S GOING FOR!!!

Persephone: BUT SAMAEL PULLS HER IN!!! HELL’S GATE!!! SAMAEL HAS THE HELL’S GATE LOCKED IN!!!! HIKARI KANNO IS SCREAMING AND SCRAMBLING!!! TRYING TO GET OUT OF THIS PAINFUL MOVE!!! SAMAEL CONTINUES TO SQUEEZE AND PULL HIKARI’S HEAD IN!!!

James Peters: HE’S GOING FOR THE SUBMISSION!!! HE WANTS TO FINISH THIS MATCH RIGHT HERE!!!!

Rich Russillo: BUT HIKARI BLASTS HIM IN THE FACE WITH A WILD AND BLIND PUNCH!!! ANOTHER!!! AND ANOTHER!!! HIKARI KANNO IS DESPERATELY THROWING RIGHTS AND LEFTS!! HITTING SAMAEL ALL OVER!

Persephone: AND SAMAEL RELEASES THE HELL’S GATE!!! HE RELEASES IT, BUT CLUTCHES AT HIKARI’S THROAT WITH HIS LEFT HAND!! HE SITS UP AND STANDS WITH HIS HAND WRAPPED AROUND HER THROAT!!!

James Peters: THIS IS HIS GOOD ARM!!! CHOKESLAM!!!!

Rich Russillo: NO!!! HIKARI MANAGES TO CHOP HIS ARM MID-AIR TO BREAK THE GRIP, AND LANDS OFF TO THE SIDE OF SAMAEL!!

Persephone: BASEMENT DROPKICK TO THE SIDE OF SAMAEL’S KNEE!! SHE JUST CLIPPED HIM RIGHT THERE WITH THAT ONE!!!

James Peters: Samael drops to a knee. He’s hurt!! Hikari quickly bashes him in the face with a knee strike!! Another!!! And another!!! Samael eventually falls down to his hip!!! He tries to get up, but the champion with another knee to the head!!!

Rich Russillo: And now Hikari turns around and runs to the far ropes!! She hits the ropes, then rebounds back towards Sa-

James Peters: BLOOD DONATION!!!! SAMAEL GOT TO HIS FEET FASTER THAN HIKARI EXPECTED, AND CONNECTED WITH THE BLOOD DONATION RUNNING BIG BOOT THE SECOND SHE SPRUNG BACK FROM THE ROPES!!!! HIKARI IS OUT COLD HERE IN THE RING, AND NOW IT’S SAMAEL WHO COVERS HER FOR THE PIN!!

ONNNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!

TWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

THHHHHHHHHHRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEE!!!!!

(DING! DING! DING!)

(Down With the Sickness’ by Disturbed hits, as the crowd boos heavily. Samael rises up to his feet, and gets his hand raised by the referee.)

Bella Braxton: Here is your winner!!!! SAMAEL!!!!

James Peters: Wow that one was a wild one tonight! Mr 24/7 and the Hardcore Champion went toe to toe, but tonight it was Samael who came out victorious.

Rich Russillo: The result of this match is definitely on Samael’s mind. That’s definitely the type of win he wanted heading into Tempest, as his opponent there is the EAW World Champion.

James Peters: This must suck for Hikari. Just look at her. She’s sitting up and reflecting on this match knowing that she should have found a way to win. She doesn’t look too happy right now.

Rich Russillo: Yeah, she rolls out of the ring and looks like she’s about to grab her title, and-

James Peters: WAIT!!! SOMEONE IN A HOOD JUST BLINDSIDED HIKARI KANNO!!! THIS PERSON JUST TOOK HIKARI OUT WITH A RUNNING LARIAT!!!

Rich Russillo: AND NOW THEY’RE STOMPING DOWN INTO HIKARI’S BODY BEFORE DROPPING A FOREARM DOWN ONTO THE FACE!!!! THE HOODED PERSON RELENTLESSLY DROPPING ELBOWS AND FOREARMS BEFORE FINALLY GRABBING HIKARI AND THROWING HER INTO THE RING POST!!!! SOMEONE CALL SECURITY WHO IS THIS?!?

James Peters: Wait, the mystery person rises up, raises their head, and takes their hood off!!!

Persephone: MIKU SAKAI!!! IT’S MIKU SAKAI!!! SHE HE RETURNED!!!!

Miku Sakai: (Off-Mic) I’m back!

James Peters: NO WAY! NEARLY A YEAR AFTER BEING BETRAYED BY HIKARI KANNO, MIKU SAKAI HAS RETURNED AND IT LOOKS LIKE SHE MAY BE HERE FOR REVENGE!

(There’s a huge reaction from the fans seeing former Specialists Champion, Unified Tag Team Champion, and IDOL-GUN member Miku Sakai. Miku Sakai blows a kiss to her fallen enemy, and former best friend. Hikari Kanno is still down and out after the attack, and the camera shows her towering over Hikari Kanno before fading elsewhere.)

(The camera cuts backstage to the interview area where Sofia Clarke is shown standing by smiling with a microphone. The music from ringside fades away as she begins to speak.)

Sofia Clarke: Wow ladies and gentlemen. What a great episode of Voltage we have been having here tonight! And much more to come! However, please welcome my guest at this time… TLA!!!

(TLA enters the frame with a smile on his face as the crowd can be heard cheering from inside the arena. He shakes hands with Sofia as he stands there awaiting her questions for this interview. TLA is wearing a large furry winter coat clearly dressed for the weather here in Alaska.)

TLA: Ayyy que pasa Sofia? You know I ain’t even booked for this show. I just had to get all up in this arena sneak inside. They be shooting UFOs n shit out there. I ain’t want them to mistake me for an alien too.

Sofia Clarke: Why would they do that?

TLA: It has been known to happen mami. But that is a story for another time. :wow:

Sofia Clarke: Alright. Well I invited you here tonight to discuss what happened at King of Elite. As we all saw Myles walked out of that championship Triple Threat Match as the new EAW World Champion. And you were the one who took the fall in that match. I guess you could say that things didn’t go your way at King of Elite. Where does TLA go from here?

TLA: If we keeping it real this whole Voltage season ain’t really been going my way. I ain’t going to lie it is very frustrating and I feel like I let a lot of people down. Pero mirándolo objetivamente… ¿Estoy realmente perdiendo? I ain’t so sure about all that chica. I mean I started this season off having just lost my World Heavyweight Championship at Pain for Pride. Then I stepped up and faced Minerva as her first challenge of the season. I came up short there but I fought my way back into title contention. Only for Eden Sinclair and Drake King to hold me down at every turn. They even took my job away from me. But I fought back and I made it back. Not only did I make it back but I went from having no job to competing in multiple MLE or whatever they are called now main events for that World Championship. Things may not have gone according to plan at King of Elite but compared to 99% of the people on this roster? Things are going damn fine indeed. And you know what? La Pantera Sexual ain’t nowhere near finished just yet.

Sofia Clarke: That is all great to hear TLA and it is great to hear that you are maintaining confidence and positivity in spite of what happened at King of Elite. So can we expect to see you in the World Championship picture again in the near future?

TLA: If I have got anything to say about it that is going to happen with the quickness. I ain’t stay down for long and let’s not forget that I am someone who knows something about taking championships away from Myles. I have done it before and I will do it again. Ain’t no doubt that before you know it TLA will have one his third World Championship here in EAW and until that day comes I will keep pushing just like I always have. I may not be El Campeon right now but I have gotten closer than anyone else on the Voltage roster this entire season and sooner or later I ain’t just going to be the closest. Imma be right there up on top.

Sofia Clarke: The only issue with that is that I have to remind you again that you were the one who took the fall at King of Elite. Do you think that management might see that as a definitive loss? You may need to go to the back of the line and have to climb up from the bottom again. We are only a few months out from Pain for Pride. Do you think that this means your Pain for Pride journey to the main event has ended at King of Elite?

TLA: Never say never Sofia. I ain’t going to doubt myself and you shouldn’t either. And if I do have to start back from the bottom? No es nada que no haya hecho antes. I have done it before and I will do it again. And you might think that I can’t do it before Pain for Pride. But I will be going all out to prove all y’all wrong. Cuz I been holding it down for this brand all year long and I see no better way than to spend the next four months preparing for that moment. Whenever it comes. Whether it comes next week, whether it comes at Pain for Pride, whether it comes after. Eventually I am going to get back into the title picture. As far as I’m concerned King of Elite was just a wake up call to myself. Just a reminder that I have got to keep hustling. Gotta go harder than ever and next time I get that opportunity in you best believe that I am going to be far more prepared for it than I was at King of Elite.

Sofia Clarke: So do you admit that you were not prepared at King of Elite?

TLA: Oh I was prepared all right. But I did not get the results I was looking for. No excuses tho. I was not prepared enough clearly because if I had been I would be standing here as the EAW World Champion right now. But don’t think that I am disappointed in my performance or anything like that. I know how good I am. I ain’t known around these streets for being the most humble of muchachos. I see no reason to think too deeply about what happened or obsess over a loss. Like I said it was one loss and it is only a matter of time before I be holding onto that World Championship again.

Sofia Clarke: But if this was your last ever championship opportun-

TLA: Imma stop you right there Sofia. Con respeto… I ain’t even going to consider that possibility. Lemme repeat myself. It was one loss. One little loss ain’t going to get in my way. I have lost matches before. I’ve lost title matches before. Do you think that has ever stopped me? Nah it hasn’t. That is the nature of this business. Myles had his moment. Minerva had her championship run. But sooner or later it is going to be my time to shine. And everyone should know that because I have proven it and by now everyone knows exactly what I am about. Everyone knows what TLA can do.

Sofia Clarke: So what is next for TLA?

TLA: You know that I be keepin’ it tranquilo. So… imma leave y’all with that mystery in yo minds. Just wait and see. But no matter what comes next I am going to continue to prove that I am one of the best that Voltage has to offer.

Sofia Clarke: I have no doubt that is the case TLA. But be careful out there. Did you say they were shooting aliens or something?

TLA: The invasion is upon us Sofia. We may not have much time left.

Sofia Clarke: :lupe: !!!!

TLA: Don’t worry tho. I ain’t even booked tonight so imma get the strap and head to the front lines. Ain’t no UFOs getting by me.

(TLA exits the screen as a loud gun cocking noise is heard. Sofia looks very startled before she turns back to the camera and shrugs.)

Sofia Clarke: Well it is clear that TLA is not letting the loss at King of Elite affect him. Who knows what is in store for him the rest of this season on Voltage. But that is something we will have to wait and see on. But what we will not have to wait and see is more great action coming up here tonight on Voltage! Stay tuned!

(The camera cuts to a commercial featuring Ronan Malosi on a cruise ship. He is shown having barricaded himself inside his room with all of the blinds closed so he cannot even catch a glimpse of the water outside. However, just knowing it is there may prove to be too much for him to handle…)

(Sunday Night Voltage fades back into the arena with the camera panning around to show the intense Sullivan Arena right now. ‘Low of Solipsism II’ by Yoshihisa Hirano is then heard playing up, the crowd quiet down but then suddenly burst into an eruption of boos upon seeing the figure beginning to make their way out from the backstage area. Drake King is seen, standing at the stage and looking around at the ‘adoring’ masses that really share how they feel about him. It’s hard to tell how he’s really feeling right now, given the circumstances that follow his appearance on Voltage tonight and the fact that he’s already given his interesting thoughts on the matter. Nonetheless, he’s here and he has something on his mind, as he begins to make his way down the ramp with microphone in hand while he does so.)

Stephie Love: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome… DRAKE KING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rich Russillo: Well here comes Drake King, who despite telling you otherwise, DID wrestle at King of Elite last week. He faced Adam Lucas and Bronson Daniels in the finals of the King of Elite tournament, and despite being a hair away from taking the crown into his greedy little hands, was thwarted by Adam who stole the win and is now the new King of Elite. For one I’d like to give my congratulations to him, but as for Drake, I think his coping mechanism for the fact is a bit… Well, it’s interesting to say the least.

Persephone: It doesn’t work like that at all! I’d sure like to forget a lot of things about this absolutely lovely company, but I can’t just say I don’t remember it and it works! It still happened! He’s really dug himself into a hole with this one I’ll tell you that.

James Peters: Regardless of how you put it, Drake King is here tonight and what we’re going to hear from him is not going to be at all different from what you expect if I had to take a guess. It’s certainly going to be interesting to see what comes of this.

(Drake makes his way past the bottom of the ramp and heads up the steel steps. He gets onto the apron and looks out at the crowd again, and he can’t help but to sneer at them. He enters through the ropes and makes his way toward the center of the ring while ‘Low of Solipsism II’. Drake takes a moment and brings his microphone up to his mouth, looking to speak.)

Drake King: I-

Crowd: ADAM LUCAS! 👏👏👏👏👏 ADAM LUCAS! 👏👏👏👏👏 ADAM LUCAS! 👏👏👏👏👏

(Drake’s face of annoyance turns to confusion, raising an eyebrow while looking around, kind of perplexed.)

Drake King: I don’t get it, this entire week I’ve been hearing Adam Lucas’ name and I’ve had nothing to do with him for months. I don’t know what suddenly changed this, this level of pettiness that you try to display over nothing just because I come out here. If ANYTHING, the way I see it, I catered to all of you through my actions post-Road To Redemption 2022. After the absolutely abysmal Voltage Elimination Chamber I left, I took a few weeks off, I fed into all of your remarks and I took a step back from this company. I thought that was what YOU wanted, I thought that was what YOU were asking for, it was NEVER about what I wanted. Despite that, all of a sudden I come back to this company and I’m met with nothing but delusion from any and everybody. Nothing has changed, and I’m a fool for believing that the month between Road To Redemption and King of Elite would change that. I fell into my old ways, because nothing will change this place, nothing will change how it has operated for 15 years now. And the reaction that you have been giving me this past week is proof of that, YOU want to believe what YOU want to believe, not the other way around. A lot of people have marked me as the enemy, made me the enemy in their book, but really, the true enemy…

(Drake points out to the crowd and circles around the ring.)

Drake King: Is all of you, and you should be ashamed of yourselves.

(The crowd boos and although Drake’s words were harsh, it only strengthens their resolve here in Alaska tonight.)

Crowd: ADAM LUCAS! 👏👏👏👏👏 ADAM LUCAS! 👏👏👏👏👏 ADAM LUCAS! 👏👏👏👏👏

Drake King: Chant that name all you want, it doesn’t make a difference. What I want you to answer for me is what he has done to ME. Because I don’t have an answer to that, and the ONLY reputable Drake King source is Drake King. But in spite of that you act like you know everything, have these “Elitists” enabled you to have this power? Acting like I’ve wrestled when I haven’t? I’ve heard that too, and let me ask you something else, why would I even WANT to represent Voltage in the King of Elite finals-

(The crowd cheers loudly upon Drake mentioning it, that’s what they wanted to hear out of his mouth. Drake scrunches his face, unwilling to let them get the better of him.)

Drake King: That’s what it is, huh? I’m going to have to clear the air for an unbelievably stupid reason, do I really have to spell it out for you? The King of Elite finals? I have no recollection of that.

(The crowd boos once again, and the only thing that Drake can really do in response is shrug his shoulders.)

Drake King: I don’t know what you want me to do, lie to all of you? No matter how insufferable each and everyone of you are, in my career I have NEVER lied to any of you. I have always been truthful, I have always spoken from the heart when it comes to how I feel and what I think about this company. Despite this rocky couple of months that I’ve had, I would never change my morals and beliefs to make myself feel better… because that would make me just as bad as you, and just as bad as the rest of those so-called “Elitists” in the back. You don’t deserve anything from me, not after everything that YOU the people have done to make Elite Answers Wrestling what it is today. But even then I still break my back for all of you, to do what I believe is best for you and them, and at this point it’s making sure that this company is no more. Years from now when I’m dead and gone from this Earth you will be thanking me for what I’ve done for this industry, what I’ve selflessly sacrificed despite all the hate, despite all the animosity. Chant all you want, make up all the lies that you want to in order to make YOURSELVES feel better. I will do what is right, as always.

(Drake lowers his microphone down while the crowd continues to make it known just how they feel about the former World Champion. ‘Low of Solipsism II’ plays up through the speakers of the arena while he drops his microphone and kicks it away, peeling off the black leather jacket he has on and preparing for his match against Sheridan Muller coming up next. He looks set and ready to go, and this segment looks like it’s beginning to close off, Drake turns around…)

Rich Russillo: SLING BLADE! WHAT THE HECK?!

James Peters: YHWACH O’HARA! YHWACH HAS JUST ATTACKED DRAKE!

(Drake is taken down to the ground, clutching at his head while pulling himself back up. He scrunches his face and looks up only to be met by the looming, quite unsettling presence of Yhwach O’Hara. He has a cold stare while he mercilessly looks down at Drake, whose eyes widen realizing just what he’s stumbled into.)

Persephone: Oh boy, you poor soul…

Rich Russillo: YHWACH SNATCHES HIS WRIST AND PULLS HIM IN FOR ‘HATHAWAY’S DREAMS’! DOUBLE WRIST LOCK PULLING DRAKE IN FOR A BRUTAL KNEE TO THE FACE WHICH KNOCKS HIM OUT COLD!

(Drake is completely taken out while Yhwach approaches, bending down to get a good look at what he has done. He says a few words which are caught by the camera.)

Yhwach O’Hara: (Off-Mic) You’re next.

James Peters: :lupe:!!! Yhwach has not forgotten what took him out of this company in the first place. He may have gone through Myles, but the main culprit is the man that he has just attacked tonight. Drake King better be praying for mercy these coming weeks, because the almighty has found his way to him, and he is not holding back.

(Yhwach drops down and rolls out of the ring, making his way backstage without a second glance. An official slides into the ring and checks on Drake, mostly because it’s hard to tell whether or not he’ll even be awake for his match against Sheridan. The last shot seen is Yhwach disappearing through the backstage area while Sunday Night Voltage begins to fade to elsewhere from there.)

(Commercial for the Super Mario Bros. movie, coming soon.)

(The referee checks on Drake King, who pulls himself up to a seated position in the corner, trying to come to as the camera cuts to Bella Braxton on the outside.)

Bella Braxton: THE FOLLOWING CONTEST IS SCHEDULED FOR…ONE FALL!!

Crowd: ONE FALL!!

(‘Amerika’ by Rammstein plays to a mostly positive reaction from fans, who realize that things are about to go from bad to worse for Drake King, who is in the ring being told of his match that is coming up next. Sheridan marches to the ring, having no mercy, and in fact, holding a slight smirk on her face, knowing Drake is almost easy pickings.)

Bella Braxton: Introducing his opponent! Hailing out of München, Deutschland, weighing in at 135 pounds…SHE IS GERMAN EFFICIENCY…SHERIDAN MÜLLER!!!

James Peters: Sheridan is not wasting time in getting to the ring, knowing she has a golden opportunity in fromt of her.

Rich Russillo: Drake is almost easy pickings, the guy barely knows where he is following that attack from Yhwatch.

Persephone: I feel bad for Drake… almost.

James Peters: What was that?

Persephone: I said I feel bad for Drake. 🌚

(‘Amerika’ by Rammstein fades out in the background as Sheridan takes her jacket off in the opposite corner, preparing for the bell to ring as Drake pulls himself up in his corner.)

(DING! DING! DING!)

James Peters: The bell has rung, and the time for talk is over. We are underway with our main event match of the evening, Drake King versus Sheridan Müller, two top competitors on Voltage, making this match a bit hard to predict as anyone of these two could come out on top, especially with how motivated they are, given the results at King of Elite, although for different reasons. Drake King is motivated to regain momentum after his plans got foiled thanks to Adam Lucas… Even if he’s pretending the match never happened.

Rich Russillo: But while Drake is looking to regain, Sheridan is looking to continue, scoring a win over Harper Lee and Madison Kaline. On that night, Voltage reigned supreme over Showdown and Dynasty, something I’m sure we’ll do this week as well, because not only are you getting Drake King versus Sheridan Müller, quite frankly, a marquee match. You’re also getting the return of Mr. DEDEDE up next.

Persephone: We are stacked!

James Peters: Indeed. But beginning to turn our attention back to the match, SHERIDAN WASTES LITTLE TIME IN CHARGING INTO DRAKE WITH A CORNER DROPKICK! KING COLLAPSES DOWN TO A PRONE POSITION, BEGINNING TO CRAWL TO THE CENTER OF THE RING!

Rich Russillo: SHERIDAN TURNS DRAKE OVER, AND GOES TO LOCK IN THE INVERTED SHARPSHOOTER, BUT DRAKE QUICKLY SCURRIES TO THE BOTTOM ROPE, HAVING SOME AWARENESS PLACED BACK INTO HIM AFTER THAT DROPKICK, PROBABLY SOLELY JUST INSTINCT! Drake uses the ropes to pull himself back to a vertical base, and Sheridan grabs him in a standing side headlock, bringing him to the center of the ring, wrenching on the hold. Drake powers back to his feet, and tries rebounding Müller off the ropes, but Sheridan skids down to a knee, keeping that side headlock firmly tacked on, and this time bringing Drake down to all fours.

Persephone: “Riveting” action early on, and it just gets better as Sheridan continues to keep Drake grounded, tightening that hold more and more.

James Peters: Again, Drake powers back to feet, and presses his boot down on the back of Sheridan’s knee, bringing her down to a knee, and loosening her grip on the side headlock, which allows Drake to slip out, and transition to a hammerlock on Müller, who goes down to all fours. Well, I shouldn’t say all fours, seeing as Drake has one arm tied up right now, but it isn’t long before Sheridan finds herself back to a vertical position, and grabs Drake in a cravate with her free arm.

Rich Russillo: King nips that in the bud early, wrenching that arm back further. Sheridan slips out underneath the arm of Drake, and grabs him in another standing side headlock. King bounces her off the ropes for a second time, but Sheridan shifts the momentum, grabbing Drake by the back of his neck, and sending him out through the middle rope. Drake lands on his feet, and goes to get back in the ring, but quickly drops off the apron once seeing Sheridan come marching towards him.

James Peters: Smart move, re-entering through the middle rope would’ve put Drake in a pretty vulnerable position for Sheridan to capitalize, something he’s already in at the moment. Right now, Drake stays on the outside, staring daggers into Müller, biding time as he possibly reassesses his game plan, and catch a breather, maybe gain some more wherewithal of his surroundings.

Rich Russillo: Drake needs to reassess faster as Müller exits the ring, and is in hot pursuit of King, who rounds the ringpost, and slides under the bottom rope. Sheridan goes to do the same, BUT SLIDES BACK OUT OF THE RING LAST MINUTE AS DRAKE WENT FOR AN ELBOW DROP AS SHE PEEKED HER HEAD INSIDE THE RING!

James Peters: Drake gets back to his feet, holding his elbow as Sheridan gets up on the apron. Drake tries for a right hand, but Sheridan blocks it, and scores with one of her own, spinning Drake around, and causing him to double over. Sheridan re-enters the ring, and takes advantage with a side headlock takedown. Drake pounds the mat in frustration, showing how angry he is getting with Müller. But finds a way out of the grounded side headlock with a headscissors, tightening his grip to choke, and compress the throat of Müller.

Rich Russillo: Sheridan goes into a front neck bridge, and pushes her head out from between Drake’s legs, lunging at him for another grounded side headlock. King powers back to his feet, and STAMPS ON THE FOOT OF MÜLLER, BREAKING THE SIDE HEADLOCK, AND DOUBLING HER OVER FOR HIM TO LOCK IN A STANDING SIDE HEADLOCK OF HIS OWN!

James Peters: Bit underhanded on Drake’s part, but legal. Sheridan rebounds him off the ropes to escape, but Drake King slides between her legs as she went for a clothesline. Sheridan spins around, and charges at King, who leapfrogs over her, followed by a drop down as she came rebounding off the ropes again. DRAKE KING FINALLY BRINGS SHERIDAN’S MOMENTUM TO A HALT WITH A BEAUTIFUL DROPKICK!

Rich Russillo: Sheridan Müller sits up, clutching at her mouth and nose area, but with this, she’s left open for a penalty kick between the shoulder blades by King, causing her to wince in pain before she’s laid back down for a cover, hooking the leg!

ONNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!

James Peters: The referee can only muster a one count as Müller kicks out.

Persephone: Which means this match continues on! 😅

James Peters: Drake wanted to finish the match early, but it’s not gonna go down that way. Sheridan sits back up, trying to shake the cobwebs out of her head, but Drake King refuses to allow his opponent a breather, digging his knee in between the shoulder blades of Müller for a rear chinlock. The longer this hold stays on, the more worn down Sheridan will be.

Rich Russillo: Knowing this, the fans begin rallying behind her, and possibly help fuel Sheridan in powering back to her feet. Drake connects with a pointed elbow to the back of Müller’s neck, causing her to stagger towards the ropes, doubled over as she grabs onto the top one. Drake marches over, and scores with a second pointed elbow to the back of Müller’s neck that brings her down to a knee.

James Peters: Drake may be softening her up for the curb stomp, aka Judgement Day, which does put a lot of pressure on the neck, which he presses his boot down on to deliver. Drake lands two more pointed elbow shots to the neck, but Sheridan gets to her feet before staggering back into the corner. Drake King maintains control with a forearm strike, followed by another! Drake isn’t done with the barrage, and lights Sheridan up with two knife edge chops to the sternum!

Rich Russillo: Drake realizes his opponent is stunned, and brings her to the center of the ring for a pendulum backbreaker! Cover is made, hooking the leg!

ONNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!

TWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

Rich Russillo: As expected, Müller gets the shoulder up! Sheridan finds herself back in a seated position, and Drake digs his knee in between her shoulder blades again for a rear chinlock. Drake’s pace has been very methodical, not digging deep into his arsenal of moves yet. But may be forced to soon as Sheridan fights back to her feet, and lands back elbows into the midsection of King, breaking his grip, snd stunning him momentarily.

James Peters: Sheridan runs off the ropes in front- OOH! DRAKE KING CRASHES INTO HER WITH A RUNNING BACK ELBOW THAT SENDS MÜLLER TUMBLING OUT THROUGH THE MIDDLE ROPE! Drake King holds his abdomen briefly, showing those elbows did have effect, but not enough to keep him at bay long enough for whatever Müller had planned.

Rich Russillo: Speaking of, Sheridan uses the apron to pull herself back up to a vertical base, and Drake goes to slingshot himself over the top rope! BUT SHERIDAN MOVES OUT OF THE WAY! Drake King planned for it, and caught himself on the apron, BUT SHERIDAN GRABS HOLD OF HIS RIGHT ANKLE, AND PULLS HIS LEG OUT FROM UNDER HIM, CAUSING KING’S FACE TO HIT FACE FIRST ON THE APRON!

James Peters: Drake remains standing, but is evidently groggy, AND MÜLLER TAKES HIM DOWN WITH A RUNNING CLOTHESLINE! Drake King clutches the back of his head, which whiplashed off the ringside floor. That’s very thin padding we have out there, something Drake King is being reminded of right now. Sheridan pulls him back to his feet, and rolls him back into the ring. Müller follows behind, sliding into the ring, and shooting the half for a cover!

ONNNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!

TWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

Persephone: Kickout! 🙂

Rich Russillo: Drake King gets to all fours, now being the one who needs to clear the cobwebs out of HIS head. Sheridan brings him to his feet, and hooks him up for a SNAP SUPLEX, quickly floating over into a cover!

ONNNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!

TWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

Rich Russillo: Two count! Drake King rolls over to his stomach, and has a wide eyed expression on his face right now, being overwhelmed by Müller, who picks him back up, and snapmares him down to a seated positon, trapping him in a rear waistlock, or some would call it a reverse bear hug! She’s trying to squeeze the life out of King, tightening her hold around his waist more and more. You can see him wincing in pain, showing Sheridan is inflicting damage.

James Peters: Drake doesn’t want those arms wrapped around his waist often, because while he’s in a good spot now, he could be in danger at any given moment, especially if Sheridan pulls him back to a vertical base in that waistlock, because then, that could set him up for the devastating Sherplex, about the last thing Drake wants to be hit with as it could end the match, dumping him high on his head, neck, and shoulders.

Rich Russillo: Drake King powers back to his feet, but as you said, he needs to avoid being vulnerable to the Sherplex, something he’s trying to avoid now, attempting to pry those hands apart of Müller, who gets caught with two back elbows from King that manage to break her grip. Remember, Drake has the strength advantage, so it’d be incredibly hard for Sheridan to simply shrug off his strikes.

James Peters: Drake runs off the ropes in front of Müller, BUT RUNS RIGHT INTO A SCOOP POWERSLAM! SHERIDAN HOOKS THE LEG DEEP!

ONNNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!

TWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

James Peters: Drake King manages to kick out, but in doing so, Sheridan has forced him into exerting more energy, something each of these past kickouts have taken out of King. Sheridan brings him back to his feet, and uses her shoulder to drive him back first into the corner! Müller jacks King’s jaw with a European uppercut! Did you hear that noise?!

Persephone: I hope Sheridan hasn’t broken Drake’s jaw. :lupe: Imagine if we wouldn’t have to hear him for a few weeks… 🌚

James Peters: Truly “tragic.”

Rich Russillo: Sheridan scores with a SECOND thunderous European uppercut, and Drake King sinks down into the corner to a seated position, being on the receiving end of a pressing boot to the jaw by Müller! The referee interjects with a five count! Sheridan doesn’t want to get disqualified in a match like this!

James Peters: No one wants to see either competitor disqualified in a match like this. Count outs, or DQs can be some of the most deflating experiences for a fans.

Referee: ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR!

James Peters: Sheridan eases up, and gets backed away by the referee, giving Drake a bit of room to recover. I doubt that’s gonna do much, seeing as the man appears to barely know where he is right now as he comes crawling out of the corner. Sheridan stands him up, and slams him down with a body slam! Sheridan quickly goes into the cover!

ONNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!

TWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

James Peters: Shoulder- Sheridan covers Drake for a second time!

ONNNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!

TWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

Rich Russillo: Kick out! Remember what you said about forcing King to exert energy? I think that was the sole intention there of Müller, who continues to wear her opponent down, not giving King much room to fight back, not that these fans care, who are reveling at seeing Drake get his butt handed to him so far. Drake sits himself back up, but Müller begins to wear him down some more with a bodyscissors.

James Peters: Drake is in the center of the ring, nowhere to go. He relies on strength, prying the legs of Müller from around his waist, but with her opponent preoccupied, Sheridan slips her arm underneath the chin of King, and gets to a kneel for a rear chinlock. Drake King powers back to his feet, and drives the back of his elbow into the abdomen of Müller, loosening and then breaking her grip.

Rich Russillo: Drake starts to battle back with a right hand, then another! Sheridan goes for a clothesline, but Drake King ducks underneath, and delivers a right hand that takes her down! Sheridan rushes back to her feet, and runs right into a clothesline from King! History repeats itself as Müller gets taken down with another clothesline. Sheridan is quickly back to her feet a third time, but gets leaned up against the ropes by King for an irish whip!

James Peters: Sheridan reverses, shifting the momentum, and sending Drake towards the ropes instead! Sheridan ducks down, perhaps signaling early for a back body drop- but were unable to find out as King delivers a penalty kick to the face, making Sheridan struggle to stay upright! KING BOUNCES OFF THE ROPES IN FRONT OF HER FOR A CLOTHESLINE, BUT SHE TRAPS THE ARM FOR A DOUBLE UNDERHOOK SUPLEX!

Persephone: Drake King got launched! 😲

Rich Russillo: Drake gets to both knees, arching his back in pain as he crawls to the corner, using it to pull himself back up. Sheridan brings him to the center of the ring, and plants him with a side slam, followed by a quick cover!

ONNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!

TWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

James Peters: Drake King gets the shoulder up, and rolls over to his belly, which allows Sheridan to transition into a single-knee camel clutch. You can see she’s pulling back on Drake’s chin, and applying pressure to the back.

Persephone: How intriguing!

Rich Russillo: Drake repositions himself to a seated position, and that might be a detriment to doing a single knee camel clutch, notice how easy it was for King to slip out from underneath that knee. But Sheridan transitions into a rear chinlock, continuing to wear down her opponent, who begins powering back to his feet. Drake fights out of the chinlock with back elbows, and delivers a right hand, stunning Sheridan for a couple of knife edge chops that lean her up against the ropes!

James Peters: Irish whip by King! Clothesline attem- no! Ducked underneath by Müller, who runs off the ropes behind King, who turns around, AND COLLIDES INTO SHERIDAN MID AIR WITH A CROSSBODY! BOTH COMPETITORS WERE THINKING THE SAME THING, AND BOTH COMPETITORS FIND THE AIR TAKEN OUT OF THEIR LUNGS! Both competitors lie on the canvas, clutching at their stomach, and the referee begins his count.

Rich Russillo: If neither can beat it, the match will be called off.

Referee: ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! FIVE!

Rich Russillo: Both King and Müller are beginning to stir, getting some air back into their system I guess.

Referee: SIX! SEVEN! EIGHT!

Rich Russillo: Drake uses the ropes for assistance in getting back to his feet, making the mistake of having his back turned to Sheridan Müller, who gets to her feet in the center of the ring. King notices on the tron, and spins around to deliver a right hand, but Sheridan returns with one of her own! Drake fires back, but so does Müller! DRAKE! SHERIDAN! DRAKE! SHERIDAN! DRAKE! SHERIDAN WITH A KICK TO THE GUT!

James Peters: Drake gets irish whipped to the corner, and Sheridan charges in, BUT GETS SENT UP AND OVER KING’S SHOULDER! WAIT! SHERIDAN CAUGHT HERSELF ON THE APRON, BUT A RIGHT HAND KNOCKS HER DOWN! Sheridan is on all fours ringside, and Drake eyes her as she gets to a vertical base. KING RUNS OFF THE ROPES, BUILDING MOMENTUM FOR A TOPE CON HILO!

Rich Russillo: DRAKE LANDED ON HIS FEET, AND HAS A DANGEROUS LOOK IN HIS EYE AS HE STARES DOWN AT MÜLLER! Sheridan gets rolled back into the ring, and she gets to her feet, staggering over to the corner farthest from King, who rolls back into the ring himself. DRAKE CHARGES IN- CHARGES RIGHT INTO A BOOT FROM MÜLLER, WHO GOT HERS UP! Drake King gets spun around, and staggers to the center of the ring.

James Peters: SHERIDAN CHARGES OUT OF THE CORNER, BUT RIGHT INTO AN ALLEY OOP FROM KING! Sheridan crawls to the corner in front of her, using it to get to her feet. Drake King eyes her from the opposite corner, and comes running in! BUT SHERIDAN SENDS HIM UP AND OVER HER SHOULDER! DRAKE LANDS ON THE APRON, AND BLOCKS A RIGHT HAND FROM MÜLLER, KNOCKING HER BACK A BIT FOR A SPRINGBOARD KNEE STRIKE! COVER IS MADE, HOOKING THE LEG!

ONNNNNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!

TWWWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

THHHHHHHHHHHHHHHRRRRRRRRR-

Rich Russillo: SHOULDER UP!

Persephone: Almost a three, meaning we could be getting closer to the ending of this match if Sheridan keeps it up! :mjlit:

Rich Russillo: Drake gets to his feet, and pulls Sheridan up to hers as well, placing her head between his legs for presumably an Ascension. BUT WHILE DRAKE WAS ATTEMPTING TO HOOK HIS FIRST ARM, SHERIDAN MÜLLER BACK BODY DROPPED HIM OVERHEAD! Almost off instinct, Drake gets to his feet, and turns around, eating a kick to the gut, AND PUMPHANDLE URANAGE! A SIGNATURE MOVE OF SHERIDAN MÜLLER!

James Peters: Surprisingly, Sheridan doesn’t go for the cover, and opts to eye King as he slowly gets back to his feet, still reeling from that uranage, and having his back turned to Müller. Sheridan wraps her arms around his waist for the Endless Fantasies! That ripcord lariat! Drake defends himself from it with a stiff forearm smash! Sheridan still keeps hold of his wrist, which Drake completely breaks, and spins her around with a discus elbow!

Rich Russillo: Drake wraps his arms around the waist of Müller, possibly wanting a Sherplex of his own! BUT SHERIDAN PERFORMS A STANDING SWITCH, AND SCORES WITH THE SHERPLEX, ALBEIT MODIFIED, HAVING RELEASED KING, WHO LANDED ON HIS HIGH NECK AND SHOULDERS! Drake is prone on the canvas, and Sheridan crawls in to shoot the half!

ONNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!

TWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

THHHHHHHHHRRRRRRRRREEEEE-

James Peters: DRAKE KING INCHES THE SHOULDER UP!

Persephone: 🙃

James Peters: Sheridan usually bridges off the german suplex. If I were to guess, maybe having that split second to breathe allowed Drake to get the shoulder up. Sheridan forms an intense glare as she gets to her feet, and watches as Drake slowly gets to his, back turned to his opponent, barely knowing where he is. RIPCORD LARI- DRAKE DUCKS UNDER IT! SHERIDAN SPINS AROUND INTO A TWISTING GAMENGIRI FROM KING!

Rich Russillo: Sheridan collapses down to a prone position, and Drake rolls her over for a cover, having the leg hooked!

ONNNNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!

TWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

THHHHHHHHHHHRRRRRRRRRRR-

Rich Russillo: NO! KICKOUT! Drake checks with the referee on if that was three, but finds himself agitated once finding out it wasn’t. Drake pulls Sheridan up in a front facelock, what could he be thinking? Falcon’s arrow? Brainbuster? Suplex?

James Peters: OOH! SHERIDAN DRIVES HIM BACK FIRST INTO THE CORNER, AND CONTINUES TO THRUST HER SHOULDER INTO THE MIDSECTION OF DRAKE! King is dazed, and gets irish whipped into the opposite corner! No! Drake counters, and sends Sheridan to the corner instead! HERE COMES KING- SHERIDAN GOT OUT OF THE WAY, CAUSING DRAKE TO HIT STERNUM FIRST INTO THE TOP TURNBUCKLE!

Rich Russillo: MÜLLER RAN OFF THE ROPES AFTER AVOIDING WHATEVER DRAKE HAD PLANNED, AND HE SPINS OUT OF THE CORNER INTO A BUSAIKU KNEE! REMEMBER, SHERIDAN DOESNT WEAR KNEE PADS, SO MAY HAVE JUST KNOCKED DRAKE’S LIGHTS CLEAN OUT AS SHE CRAWLS INTO THE PIN!

ONNNNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!

TWWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

THHHHHHHHHHRRRRRRRRRR-

James Peters: KICKOUT!

Persephone: What a main event thus far!

James Peters: You can see those kick outs coming with less and less energy. Which competitor will be the first to fold? Sheridan sits up, contemplating her next move, but seems to have gotten it as she stands up, and walks to the legs of Drake King. Sheridan wants the inverted sharpshooter, BUT DRAKE PUSHES HER AWAY WITH BOTH FEET!

Rich Russillo: BOTH COMPETITORS SCRAMBLE BACK TO THEIR FEET, AND SHERIDAN RUNS RIGHT INTO A LARIAT THAT TURNS HER INSIDE OUT! Drake King collapses down to a prone position, showing the wear and tear he’s suffered thus far. But Drake is the first to his feet, showing how much he leveled Müller with that clothesline, who he stands up, and backs into the corner, propping her up.

James Peters: Drake climbs to the middle rope, and looks to our audience with complete disdain before reigning down with punches. Since they won’t count, I guess I will. One, two, three, four, five- Sheridan slips out behind King, who saw it coming, delivering a back kick to her sternum, knocking Müller back a bit for a MIDDLE ROPE MOONSAUL- MÜLLER SIDESTEPS, AND DRAKE LANDS ON HIS FEET!

Rich Russillo: DRAKE TRIES FOR A CLOTHESLINE, BUT GETS GRABBED BY MÜLLER FOR AN OVERHEAD BELLY TO BELLY IN THE CORNER! SHERIDAN DRAGS HIM AWAY FROM THE ROPES, AND HOOKS THE LEG FOR A COVER!

ONNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!

TWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

THHHHHHHHHRRRRRRRRR-

James Peters: Shoulder up! Ya know, due to the attack, Drake has been really forced to fight from underneath, a position I’m not sure he’s very used to. Sheridan hasn’t had an easy time putting him away either, which might have come as a shock to her, and the audience as well, who watch as Sheridan pulls King to his feet, being the one to back him in the corner now.

Rich Russillo: Drake gets lifted to the top turnbuckle, and Sheridan scores with a right hand to further stun him. Müller goes for another, but Drake blocks it, returning fire with one of his own. Drake delivers a second right, spinning Sheridan around, who stumbles momentarily before turning back around, AND GETTING CAUGHT WITH A DIVING HURRICANRANA OFF THE MIDDLE ROPE BY KING!

James Peters: An exhausted Drake considers covering, but wants something more definitive it seems, so rolls out of the ring, and climbs to the top turnbuckle. Sheridan hasn’t moved an inch, AND DRAKE DIVES OFF THE TOP ROPE WITH A FROG SPLA- HE MISSED! DRAKE GETS TO HIS FEET, CLUTCHING AT HIS ABDOMEN, AND SHERIDAN COMES FROM BEHIND WITH THE RIPCORD LARIAT!

Rich Russillo: DRAKE COUNTERED IT WITH A KNEE BEFORE THE LARIAT COULD CONNECT! Sheridan goes down to a knee, and Drake staggers back to the corner, possibly wanting the Judgement Day as he lines his opponent up. BUT SHERIDAN RUSHES KING WITH A RUNNING CORNER SPEAR- THAT MISSES AS DRAKE GETS OUT OF THE WAY, CAUSING MÜLLER TO COLLIDE SHOULDER FIRST WITH THE RINGPOST!

James Peters: Drake stalks Sheridan, who comes staggering out of the corner, back turned to him. …SHERPLEX! DRAKE CONNECTED WITH THE SHERPLEX! BRIDGING GERMAN SUPLEX KEEPS MÜLLER’S SHOULDERS PINNED TO THE CANVAS!

Persephone: ITS OVER!

ONNNNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!

TWWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

THHHHHHHHHHHHRRRRRRRRRRRRR-

Rich Russillo: KICKOUT! DRAKE KING IS IRATE, AND POUNDS THE MAT IN FRUSTRATION! DRAKE BEGINS GETTING IN THE REFEREE’S FACE, BACKING HIM INTO THE CORNER AS HE CONTINUES TO SCREAM, CONFIDENT THAT WAS THREE!

James Peters: Good on the referee, who doesn’t budge, standing his ground, not allowing Drake to bully him. King looks as if he’s gonna tear his hair out- BUT OOH! DRAKE JUST CLOBBERED THE REFEREE WITH A RIGHT HAND, KNOCKING HIM DOWN TO A SEATED POSITION IN THE CORNER!

(The referee clutches at his face, and signals for the match to be called off with one hand, causing the crowd to erupt with boos, but only angering Drake even more.)

(DING! DING! DING!)

Bella Braxton: Ladies and gentlemen, the winner of this match as a result of disqualification… SHERIDAN MÜLLER!

James Peters: BUT DRAKE ISNT STOPPING! HES STOMPING THE REFEREE OUT IN THE CORNER, HAVING SNAPPED COMPLETELY WITH HOW THIS MATCH HAS GONE!

Persephone: :roman:

Rich Russillo: DRAKE IS GONNA GET A HEFTY FINE FOR THIS, BUT KNOWING HIS STATUS IN EAW, I DONT THINK THATS GONNA PUT MUCH OF A DENT IN HIS BANK ACCOUNT!

James Peters: DRAKE KING CONTINUES TO STOP OUT THAT REFEREE, AND ALL BECAUSE HIS FRUSTRATION HAS REACHED AN ALL TIME HIGH!

Rich Russillo: DRAKE HAS STRUGGLED TO PUT AWAY MÜLLER, AND HES GROWN SICK OF IT!

James Peters: SPEAKING OF, DRAKE TURNS AROUND, HAVING A DANGEROUS LOOK IN HIS EYES, AND SEES THAT SHERIDAN IS BEGINNING TO STIR, GETTING TO HER KNEE!

Rich Russillo: DRAKE BUILDS MOMENTUM FOR A JUDGEMENT DAY- BUT MÜLLER AVOIDS IT, AND GRABS DRAKE IN A REAR WAISTLOCK! ENDLESS FANTASIES! THE RIPCORD LARIAT FINALLY CONNECTS, TAKING DOWN KING!

James Peters: SHERIDAN SITS UP, CLEARLY UPSET WITH HOW SHES GOTTEN THE VICTORY, BUT HAPPY TO HAVE GOTTEN THE LAST LAUGH OVER KING, WHO HAS ONCE AGAIN BEEN LAID TO WAIST!

(Sheridan gets to a knee, staring down at Drake while ‘Amerika’ by Rammstein blares in the background.)

James Peters: Statement made by Sheridan Müller, who stands tall!

Rich Russillo: It’s been a bad night for Drake, but I’m sure he’ll find a way to bounce back. As of right now, he lost his cool, and paid for it. With what he did to that ref, you can’t say he didn’t have it coming.

(Sheridan rolls out of the ring, and backpedals up the ramp, continuing to stare at a downed Drake while the camera fades elsewhere.)

(Commercial for Attack on Titan: The Final Season Part 3: Part 1 featuring Xander Payne, coming this March.)

(Voltage returns to ringside before fading to the stage, and after a few seconds ‘Show Me Your God’ by The Amity Affliction hits. This causes a mixed reaction from the fans, and after a little while, Theron Nikolas makes his first appearance since King of Elite. Theron is holding a microphone in his hand, and to say he’s not happy would be an understatement. He is furious after the way his match against Yhwach O’Hara last week ended, and he doesn’t waste much time beginning to walk down the ramp, headed towards the ring as he clearly plans to speak.)

James Peters: Theron Nikolas had a big match against Yhwach O’Hara at King of Elite after Yhwach cost him a spot in the King of Elite tournament. We all thought this meant Yhwach was the man Natasha saw in her visions, the man that was after Theron, but it turns out… That wasn’t the case.

Rich Russillo: Yeah.. I wasn’t sure how things could possibly get worse after Yhwach screwed Theron over and attacked him weeks ago, but somehow they did. The man that Natasha actually saw in her visions would return at King of Elite, costing Theron the match against Yhwach, and that man would be Methuselah.

Persephone: I remember. He bashed a flaming Equalizer over Natasha’s head, traced some weird occult symbol or something on Theron’s back, and said “Tempest”.

James Peters: Yep. After tracing a pentagram, his only word would actually be the name of Voltage’s next marquee event. It seemed like a challenge, but I couldn’t even guess why Methuselah of all people would want to challenge Theron Nikolas. This all feels out of nowhere.

(Theron walks up the steel steps and finally enters the ring. Not wanting to waste any more time, he begins to speak.)

Theron Nikolas: I’m not sure if this is all supposed to be some kind of joke, but I don’t find any of it funny. For weeks I was led to believe that there was a target on my back, that there was someone who wanted to take me out and that they’d be revealing themselves sooner rather than later. I didn’t care. I moved on and focused on the King of Elite tournament, and when Jamie, or “Yhwach” returned and cost me my spot in the tournament, I thought it was time. I believed that the man in Natasha’s visions finally decided to come out of the shadows. He challenged me to a match at King of Elite and I accepted that challenge because I wasn’t going to be stalked week after week, screwed out of the King of Elite tournament and attacked immediately afterwards all without retaliating. I walked into King of Elite expecting to face the man Natasha warned me about and prove that there was never any reason to worry. I walked into my match against O’Hara expecting to go against whatever fate Natasha saw in her vision, and I ended that match with the realization that I wasted my time. I ended that night having to learn that O’Hara was never the one waiting to strike. That’s the man that tried to kill Natasha. That’s Methuselah.

Theron Nikolas: I could stand here and spend the rest of the night talking about O’Hara’s actions and just how much more confused I’ve become with this whole situation. I could question his decision to cost me back in the King of Elite tournament. I could question his timing and why he only showed his face on Voltage then. I could question why he chose King of Elite of all places to face me, but after what happened at the end of our match, he’s the last person I’m concerned about. I was barely conscious after my match against him, after all I was hit in the back of the head with his knee thanks to his distraction. By the time Methuselah entered the ring though, I was able to hear him loud and clear. He said “Tempest”, and when he said that I knew exactly what he meant. That was a challenge. He wants a match against me.

(The fans immediately begin cheering. Despite their thoughts on Theron Nikolas or Methuselah they knew what they can both do inside of the ring, and the idea of those two facing each other seems to excite the fans in the arena.)

Theron Nikolas: I think my answer to his challenge should be obvious. There was never even going to be a chance that I allowed him to get away with what he did that night. If a match is what he wants then he’ll get exactly that, so instead of spending any more time on what we already should’ve known I just want to know why. I want to know why King of Elite had to be the location for Methuselah’s return. I want to know why Natasha and I had to be his targets. I want to know why HE was the man in Natasha’s visions instead of O’Hara. I really don’t appreciate being made to look like a fool. I don’t appreciate having to spend weeks with the wrong idea, an idea that clearly cost me last week. When all of it was over and I was actually granted the opportunity to think about all of this, I wasn’t sure where to start. There was too much to process, too much that happened in such a short amount of time, but it all traced back to one question. Why? For some reason you all seem to enjoy leaving us with more questions than answers and it’s become increasingly more annoying. I don’t plan to do that this time around. If we’re going to do this then I need to hear the truth. I need to understand why Natasha’s visions included you. Natasha saw me in a pool of my own blood, and I need to know that you’re actually the man supposedly responsible for it and not just another waste of time.

(Theron Nikolas begins to wait, expecting Methuselah to walk out. He’s clearly frustrated over everything that’s happened for the past few weeks, ever since Yhwach O’Hara made his return to cost Theron in the King of Elite tournament. He continues to wait as the fans begin to quiet down, but after a little while the silence is replaced by boos as it looks like Methuselah is nowhere to be seen. This just annoys Theron even more, assuming that this is just more of the mind games he already had to deal with recently.)

James Peters: It looks like Methuselah may not be planning to appear. It sounds like Theron was calling him out, but Theron wasn’t given a response or anything to work with. Do we even know if Methuselah is in the building tonight? Seeing how… Different he is to what we’ve grown used to, who knows what he could be up to these days?

Rich Russillo: I guess you’re right, but don’t you think it’d be pretty strange for him to have absolutely nothing to say after King of Elite? He could have killed Natasha Agnello with that flaming Equalizer, he challenged Theron Nikolas to a match at Tempest, and now… Nothing?

(Eventually, Theron gets tired of waiting and begins to speak.)

Theron Nikolas: Like I said, I won’t be entertaining this again. Just know this, Methuselah. I wasn’t prepared at King of Elite for one reason and one reason only. I was focused on the wrong man. I thought Yhwach O’Hara was the man I needed to watch out for when this whole time there was someone else watching me. I’ll admit, you surprised me last week. You caught me off guard. I couldn’t have expected what you did back then, and I’m saying all this to say that you won’t be surprising me again. This time, I’ll be waiting. This time, I’m the one that’s ready to strike, so the next time you choose to make an appearance at my expense just know that I’ll be ready. As for that challenge of yours? I’ll see you at Tempest, as long as you realize that I don’t plan to allow Natasha’s visions to become a reality. One of us will be laid out in a pool of their own blood. One of us will be in very serious trouble. One of us will regret showing up to Tempest, it just won’t be me.

(These words receive a loud, mixed reaction from the fans. With that said Theron stops speaking, and he goes to leave the ring. However, as soon as Theron gets a foot out onto the apron, ‘Blackstar’ by David Bowie hits. This gets a loud reaction from the fans, and Theron Nikolas just steps back into the ring, seemingly getting what he wanted as Methuselah’s music continues to play.)

James Peters: Well it looks like we’ll be getting an appearance from Methuselah tonight after all! Granted, I’m not so sure if that’s something Theron should be happy about or not.

Rich Russillo: Yeah, knowing as much, and as little about the returning Methuselah as we do, I don’t think it was a good idea for Theron to call him out tonight. In fact, I’d say Theron would’ve been far better off if Methuselah chose not to appear at all tonight.

Persephone: What do you mean? What’s the worst that could happen?

James Peters: Well, last time we saw Methuselah he smashed a flaming Equalizer over Natasha Agnello’s head, which is exactly why she’s not here tonight.

Persephone: That’s not so bad.

James Peters: I… Forget it.

(Methuselah slowly walks out as Theron Nikolas stares directly at him. He is holding his own microphone, and despite Theron’s waiting, Methuselah does not move from the stage, choosing not to walk down to the ring. There’s a staredown between the two Elitists, and there’s a lot of tension thanks to Methuselah’s actions last week and Theron’s anger. Eventually, the silence between the two is finally broken as Methuselah raises his microphone and begins to speak.)

Methuselah: The answers you seek will come in due time.

(Needless to say, this does not satisfy Theron Nikolas, who quickly responds to him.)

Theron Nikolas: No. Forgive me if I’m not interested in all of the theatrics, but I already had to go through this with my King of Elite opponent and I don’t see why I should have to deal with it again. I’m not going to keep doing this. I shouldn’t have to wait weeks for an explanation for something you chose to do. You chose to attack Natasha back at King of Elite. You chose to put out that challenge, and you obviously did all of that for a reason, so spit it out. Stop wasting everyone’s time and just get it over with.

(Despite this, Methuselah doesn’t budge. He remains on the stage, just staring at Theron Nikolas.)

Methuselah: All will be revealed in Methuselah’s time. Until then, you must wait.

(This annoys Theron, but he doesn’t do anything but shake his head knowing that there’s not much he could do with Methuselah at the stage. Suddenly, the look on Methuselah’s face would change, as a grin suddenly formed.)

James Peters: Wait, what-

(It’s at this moment that the lights would start to dim, which confuses Theron Nikolas.)

Rich Russillo: Oh no, what’s this now?

James Peters: I think I just saw a smile on Methuselah’s face, and after that the lights just dimmed!

Persephone: What’s going on?

(There’s a bunch of mumbling from the fans, who are all confused at the sudden change of scenery. Before long the reason for the dimmed lights would be revealed though, and this causes the confusion of the fans to turn into fear. A symbol would suddenly appear in the ring, and this symbol is very familiar.)

James Peters: :lupe: Is that the symbol Methuselah traced back at King of Elite???

Rich Russillo: It looks like it!

(A pentagram symbol would light up the entire ring, shining down on Theron Nikolas. This confuses Theron, but after realizing what just happened, the first thing he does is look at the stage. Methuselah is still seen standing there, but he no longer has the same look he had on his face when he first walked out. Instead he’s laughing. Theron continues to stare at Methuselah, still unsure and frustrated about this whole situation, and while this sinister laughter is the last thing heard from the fans, the sight of Methuselah laughing is the last thing shown on the camera as Voltage begins to fade to black.)
