(EAW intro plays.)
(The camera opens up as usual and a recap of last week’s Voltage begins to play. It starts off with an interview with all of the competitors in the Voltage Elimination Chamber: Drake King, TLA, Samael, Samael/Michael, Charlie Marr, Theron Nikolas and Minerva. Each competitor states why they should win the Chamber before everyone argues. The fighting makes Samael take control and he attacks everybody, at the end being the one standing tall. Ayu Megumi defeats Ronan Malosi and after the match she is attacked by Candice and Sierra but Usagi and ARIA come to her rescue. Later in Eden’s office, Eden is upset with what happened, especially with Ronan, who continues to make excuses so Eden leaves him out of being at Road to Redemption and beyond, leaving him out of matches until he can get his act together. Ronan promises he will pay full attention to the situation and Eden reminds them that the Ice Aces can’t win at Road to Redemption. ARIA and TLA are able to defeat Kylie Grace and Samael. Molly Waters analyzes and breaks down every person participating in the Specialists Chamber. Dr. Bethany Blue achieves the victory against SOSA Henderson. Daryl Kinkade comes out to the ring talking about his match at the Christmas Show and how he is going to win the Extreme Enigma Memorial Match. He ends up being interrupted by Halsey Neel and Haruka Kashimashi, each competitor states why they should win the match with Halsey and Haruka arguing between each other again and Daryl simply states that he will end up winning both of his matches. Drake King and Minerva are able to co-exist and take the win against Charlie Marr and Theron Nikolas, with Drake making a statement by attacking Minerva after the match. Myles and Yhwach come face to face, as Yhwach states that he doesn’t want to be held by the limitations of a normal match, he wants Myles to make him feel what he felt at Bloodsport. Myles is surprised about that request but he is alright with spicing things up, so Captain Charisma comes out to tell them that now their match will be a two out of three tables match, with Myles and Yhwach accepting the stipulation. Out of nowhere, Yhwach attacks Myles and lays him out. Yhwach slams Myles’ head repeatedly against the steel steps just like he did to him back then, and as security arrives, Yhwach lets go and walks away. Finally, in the main event, Cameron Ella Ava defeats Usagi Senshi in a great match but Hikari decides to repay Cameron for what she did to her last week, by attacking her and laying her out. The final shot of the recap is Hikari standing tall over Cameron.)
(Sunday Night Voltage fades away to show a shot of the Bangkok Arena in Bangkok, Thailand. An edited version of ‘33rd Blakk Glass’ by ZilaKami & SosMula is played through the speakers as spotlights are panning around and golden pyro is shooting out from the stage. The Thailand crowd cheers incredibly loud while the camera then goes over to show the broadcasting team of Rich Russillo, James Peters, and Persephone.)
Rich Russillo: Welcome ladies and gentlemen…TO SUNDAY NIGHT VOLTAGE! Exciting show tonight. Exciting week ahead. Why? Because we are just one week away from one of EAW’s biggest events, Road to Redemption! Tensions are high, competition is even higher, but what do we have for all of you tonight?
James Peters: Another incredible show waiting to happen, Rich! There are only three matches but they are sure to wow people! In an Extreme Enigma Memorial Match Preview, we have Daryl Kinkade versus Lucas Johnson! Six months after Pain for Pride XV, Myles makes his return in a match against Sierra Everett! And one year after his injury, in our main event, Yhwach O’Hara makes his return against one third of the Ice Aces, Ayu Megumi!
Persephone: I really can’t wait for Christmas to arrive, that way I can wish Santa the gift that I have been looking for this whole time…a date with Rexy-I MEAN…A cup. Yes, a cup with the face of a very cute cat on it.
Rich Russillo: I can get you that cup no problem, it can be my Christmas gift to you!
Persephone: …Anyway, let’s get on with the show guys! 😊
Rich Russillo: :mjcry:
(Inside the arena, all the lights shut off, and strings of “Enemy” by Sevendust can be heard playing in the background, receiving a thunderous ovation from fans as Bethany Blue appears on the stage, having the Tag Team Championship wrapped around her waist, and getting a single spotlight shined on her. Bethany’s sporting her entrance jacket with a crop top underneath, along with leggings, and Jordan 1’s that match. Pyro goes off on either side of Blue as the chorus kicks in, and Sheridan Müller marches past Bethany, walking to the ring with a purpose, as does Bethany, who trails shortly behind her. Sheridan’s wearing a sports bra with leather jacket over it, and leggings similar to Bethany Blue, except wearing ankle boots. Essentially, they’re both dressed for a fight if need be.)
Bella Braxton: Ladies and gentlemen! Please welcome…the EAW Unified Tag Team Champions…THE TEAM OF DR. BETHANY BLUE AND SHERIDAN MÜLLER…THE PRESCRIPTION!!
James Peters: Welp, business has just picked up, given the Tag Team Champions have arrived, and are walking to the ring with a purpose.
Rich Russillo: Bethany’s missing her usual smugness, not even interacting with fans tonight.
Persephone: What gives?
James Peters: Well, given what went down on Dynasty a few days ago, I wouldn’t be out here smiling either. Bethany Blue, and Sheridan Müller were left laying by their challengers after their contract signing. But we can’t forget also that later in the night Sheridan managed to get a pinfall victory over Viz. While that may have happened, it seems they’re only intention is worrying about what happened during the signing.
Rich Russillo: As if they needed it, I think Viz and SOSA have definitely lit a fire under The Prescription with their actions.
James Peters: Well, we’re about to see as the Tag Team Champions have something to say I’m told.
(Sheridan steps up on the apron, and enters the ring, taking the Tag Team Championship from around her waist, and holding it in one hand while grabbing a microphone with the other. Meanwhile, Bethany goes up the steps, being handed a microphone by a stagehand before completely going up, and entering the ring, joining Sheridan in the center.)
Sheridan Müller: Viz, SOSA, on Dynasty, we’ll admit, you got one over on us. But that wasn’t the first time we’ve been knocked down, and it won’t be the last, because while we hold these Tag Team Championships, a constant target has been placed on our backs. But really, we welcome it, because with each defense, we prove that we’re the best tag team in this division.
Dr. Bethany Blue: And yeah, on Dynasty, you might’ve knocked us down, but you couldn’t keep us down, which Sheridan showed in her match. We still were healthy enough to come into work, and we’re still healthy enough to kick your **BLEEP** right here, right now. Viz, SOSA, we’re calling you out, face-to-face, no blindslides, no cheap shots.
(The Prescription both turn towards the entranceway, and Sheridan sets down her title, and microphone next to it, beginning to shadow box in preparation of Soul Food Sunday. Bethany spreads her arms wide, presumably yelling at them off mic to come out. From there, ‘Morals’ by EST Gee blares throughout the arena, which garners a positive reaction from fans, not out of love for Soul Food Sunday, but anticipation in seeing these two teams fight.)
Rich Russillo: No one told me Soul Food Sunday were here.
James Peters: Well, you can always expect the unexpected on this job, especially when it comes to Voltage. You never know just who’s gonna come out.
Persephone: I’ll tell you, Soul Food Sunday don’t look as if they’re quite ready for a fight like Bethany and Sheridan.
James Peters: Who knows? It could be a ruse. No one was expecting anything physical during Dynasty’s contract signing, and look what happened there. Soul Food Sunday didn’t just wind up laying the champs out, they took their Championships, and raised them high in the air. Although Viz might’ve lost later on they’re definitely not going to focus their attention on that.
Rich Russillo: You don’t touch a champion’s belt, and no wonder The Prescription has taken umbrage with these two.
(Both members already have microphones, and enter the ring, going face-to-face with Dr. Bethany Blue and Sheridan Müller. Viz is wearing an african dashiki, dress pants, and shoes. Meanwhile, SOSA is rocking various jewelry, a leather jacket over his EAW t-shirt, skinny jeans, and sneakers. Viz gives a glance toward Müller, who’s in a fighting stance.)
Visual Prophet: Someone’s excited to beat up on two melanin men…a little *too* excited. Tell me, Sheridan, have you been waiting for this moment all day? :mjpls:
Dr. Bethany Blue: Don’t try turning this into a race thing, you already know why we’re calling you out, and why we’re rightfully pissed off. You’re just gonna gloss over attacking us?
SOSA Henderson: Well, who’s fault is that, Bethany? You two left us with an opportunity, and we took it. In fact, we’d gladly take it again if given the opportunity. Don’t act like you wouldn’t either. If we were to turn our backs right now, you’d be on us like a pack of hyenas.
Visual Prophet: Preach, my brother, preach! What was that word you said? Opportunity! The Prescription got their Tag Team Title opportunity at our expense, seeing as they were just able to cut the line. We take one at their expense, and suddenly, we’re the bad guys? Sounds like a classic case of flirting versus harassment!
SOSA Henderson: In my eyes, we didn’t do anything bad either. When you go to the movie theater, are you mad because they showed previews? No, I’m thankful, because I’m now aware of what’s to come. On Dynasty, that’s all we did, showed these people what’s to come. Because at Road to Redemption, we’re gonna capitalize off another opportunity, and it won’t be one where it’s just to make an early statement. A statement that we’ll translate here on Voltage, that is in case the message wasn’t loud enough on Dynasty. We’re going to become EAW United Tag Team Champions, like we should’ve done months ago.
(Sheridan picks her mic up off the ground, and begins speaking.)
Sheridan Müller: Sugarcoat it all you want, you two are out making all sorts of excuses, and directing attention away from the fact you’re cowards.
Dr. Bethany Blue: You deliberately waited until our backs were turned, and now they’re not turned, yet you don’t seem adamant to fight now, or take an “opportunity,” despite the fact we’re clear as day giving you one.
Sheridan Müller: Yeah, here’s another opportunity to show us exactly why you’ll become Champions at Road to Redemption. If you don’t, that’ll just prove our point in why you aren’t.
Dr. Bethany Blue: Yeah, because attacking from behind? That’s not worthy of a champion. That’s not how champions get things done.
Sheridan Müller: You two aren’t ready to take our mantle, and even if you are, you aren’t ready for what we have to offer at Road to Redemption. Because as mentioned earlier, we’re the best tag team in this division. That isn’t just some attempt to seem confident either.
Dr. Bethany Blue: If Sheridan and I say something, we mean it.
(Both Bethany and Sheridan give an intense stare to Soul Food Sunday, who look at one another before busting out into laughter, finding this all hysterical.)
Visual Prophet: Y-Y-You? The best Tag Team in this division? :mjlol:
SOSA Henderson: :mjlol2:
(Both Visual Prophet and SOSA collect themselves.)
SOSA Henderson: Sorry, it’s just the appropriate reaction to the thought of you guys being the “best tag team in this division.”
Visual Prophet: Don’t forget when they tried to lecture us about what a champion does and doesn’t do also!
SOSA Henderson: That too.
Visual Prophet: Sorry it’s not the 19th century anymore, and you don’t just get to direct what we do. They called us out, so now we’ve gotta fight them, right?
SOSA Henderson: Wrong. You’ve got some caucacity to call us cowards, but even more to call yourselves the best Tag Team in this division. I mean, how’d you do that with a straight face, knowing you’re standing across the ring from two former World Champions, each of us having experience in this division, and one of us being a former Tag Team Champion himself.
(Visual Prophet dusts his shirt off, and forms a smirk on his face, knowing that SOSA is referencing him.)
SOSA Henderson: Were prepared for what either of you bring, having been in the ring with, and beaten better wrestlers than yourselves. But are you prepared for what the two of us are gonna bring?
Visual Prophet: Tell the truth also. In this instance, it’s fine to admit being scared of two black men.
Sheridan Müller: Congrats, you’re accomplished, what do you want? A cookie? Do you want some sort of reward? If all you’ve got against us is accomplishments, then why are we even entertaining this conversation?
Dr. Bethany Blue: Your accomplishments add nothing but a better looking resume against ours, which isn’t shallow, so don’t go acting as if we’re just completely outmatched either.
SOSA Henderson: Acting? You are. I mean, is that even up for debate?
Sheridan Müller: Being former World Champions, I thought you’d know by now overconfidence can be the kiss of death, especially against women like us.
SOSA Henderson: Well, when it’s ours, then we’ll talk.
Dr. Bethany Blue: Ya know what? I think we’ve had enough talk.
(Bethany and Sheridan toss their microphones to the side, and Bethany takes the Tag Title off her waist, laying it flat on the canvas next to her. The Prescription gesture towards Soul Food Sunday to bring it on, and bounce up and down, ready for a fight. Viz and SOSA look like they’re going to fight, but Viz holds SOSA back.)
Visual Prophet: While they’d love to get two black men out of their character, why not take a page from their unseasoned book on how to be champions?
SOSA Henderson: You’re right, this all just isn’t worth our time.
(The crowd boos as Soul Food Sunday go to leave, but turn around to lunge at The Prescription last minute.)
James Peters: SOUL FOOD SUNDAY ATTEMPT TO CHEAP SHOT THE PRESCRIPTION ONCE AGAIN!
Rich Russillo: BUT BOTH BETHANY AND SHERIDAN DUCK UNDERNEATH THE STEREO CLOTHESLINE ATTEMPTS! VIZ TURNS AROUND INTO A TJD SUPERKICK, DROPPING HIM TO THE CANVAS!
James Peters: AND LOOK AT SHERIDAN, WHO SLIPPED BEHIND SOSA FOR A REAR WAISTLOCK AFTER DUCKING THE CLOTHESLINE! SHE’S DEADLIFTING HIM OFF THE MAT!
Rich Russillo: SOSA’S FLAILING HIS ARMS, BUT THERE’S NOTHING HE CAN DO, GETTING PLANTED HIGH ON HIS HEAD AND NECK WITH A SHERPLEX!
Persephone: Aw Man, I was hoping this thing could remain cordial this time. #Sarcasm.
(SOSA lies prone on the canvas, motionless while holding the back of his head with one hand. Meanwhile, Visual Prophet writhes in pain on the canvas, clutching his jaw in agony. The Champs smile at each other before picking up their titles off the canvas.)
James Peters: Soul Food Sunday tried pulling what they did on Dynasty, but this time, the champs were ready, and are the ones giving a possible preview of what’s to come.
Rich Russillo: Keyword: “possible.” Anybody can stand tall on Dynasty or Voltage, but which team will stand tall when it actually matters at such a marquee event like Road to Redemption?
(The Prescription raise their titles high in the air as they march around the ring, and eventually bend down, talking trash to both members of Soul Food Sunday on the ground before beginning to exit the ring as the camera fades elsewhere.)
(Promotional ad for Road to Redemption, where the Prescription defend their Unified Tag Team Championships against Soul Food Sunday.)
(‘As Long As I Love’ by TK from Ling Tosite Sigure begins to blast through the speakers as the crowd gives a mixed ovation for Hikari Kanno, who will face Cameron Ella Ava at Road to Redemption next weekend. She walks down the ramp with a clear focus on her face, looking to air her thoughts out.)
Bella Braxton: LADIES AND GENTLEMEN…PLEASE WELCOME AT THIS TIME…HIKARI KANNO!!!!!!!!
James Peters: Here is the young woman who has an important match with Cameron Ella Ava at Road to Redemption. Cameron returned back at Wicked Games and she set her eyes on Hikari Kanno as the woman that she wanted to face.
Rich Russillo: However, within the past few weeks, it’s evolved from a match consisting of two talented women to…what, exactly?
Persephone: Cameron got upset at Hikari for bumping into her during her match with Drake and retaliated. Last week, Hikari sent a message to Cameron, so it’s unclear what the tone of these two is, but I don’t think that Cameron is quite happy about last week.
James Peters: Well, right now, we’ll be hearing from Hikari and if I were Cameron, I would check this out.
(‘As Long As I Love’ fades as Hikari Kanno is in the middle of the ring with a microphone in her possession. She thinks about her words and how she wants to get them across before speaking.)
Hikari Kanno: These past couple of weeks have been…interesting. I should’ve expected things to play out the way they did. Someone like Cameron Ella Ava wasn’t going to put out a challenge and leave it at that. Oh no, she returned because she wanted a spotlight. She wants to show everyone that she still has what it takes to be a star and eventually, World Champion. While that’s fine and dandy, the one thing that Cameron won’t do is interfere with my career and maintain her relevance at my expense.
Hikari Kanno: It all began with my match with Drake King. Two weeks ago, all it took was one miscalculation to change the tone of the match. The one miscalculation led the two of us to brawl at ringside until the referees pulled us apart. Now, I should have expected better than to think that Cameron wouldn’t find herself in the wrong place at the wrong time. It’s unfortunate that she found herself in the way of what was already a chaotic match, to begin with. With the wrestlers involved in this match, she should have known what she was getting herself into by being on commentary. Somehow, Cameron took that little incident at ringside to heart. She took it personally and was not going to allow herself to take it. Oh no, she couldn’t let everyone look at her as weak. I mean, what else can you expect from someone who is as emotional as —
(‘Good For Her’ by MOTHICA featuring emlyn begins to play through the speakers as the crowd has a standing ovation for Cameron Ella Ava, who has a smile plastered on her face.)
Rich Russillo: For someone who was going to get called as emotional as something, she seems to be quite happy.
Persephone: Don’t you know anything about women, Rich? There’s a difference between “😊” and “😀.” Cameron is giving me “😀” right now.
James Peters: Not many words have been said between these two women. Only once in the past few weeks, so I’m interesting in hearing what Cameron has to say about what Hikari was going to say.
(‘Good For Her’ dies down as Cameron Ella Ava has a microphone in her possession. Cameron shrugs her shoulders before looking at Hikari. I mean, what’s there to say?)
Cameron Ella Ava: I mean, Hikari? Can you blame me? Can you really blame me for what happened? I got you thrown to me out of nowhere. I wanted nothing more than to be a witness during your match. I wasn’t looking to find myself in the action. I wasn’t looking forward to having your body thrown in my direction. Of course, when something as intense as that happens, emotions will be high. We’re in the heat of the moment and we’re going to respond to what seems like a good thing at the time. For me, I was doing exactly what I needed to do in the situation. It may have not been the popular decision, but I’ve never been known for making popular decisions throughout my career. I did what was good for me and in the case of last week, you did what you believed was best for you, Hikari.
(Hikari Kanno stares back at Cameron Ella Ava, raising an eyebrow at the Hall of Famer.)
Cameron Ella Ava: I’m not going to apologize for attacking you two weeks ago, Hikari. If there is something that I promised myself that I wasn’t going to do in this run, it’s apologizing for things that don’t need any apologies. If you think that you were expecting me to come out and try to convince you that this is all a misunderstanding, then, it really sucks for you. I’m not going to apologize for attacking you. I’m not going to apologize for someone else’s mistakes. I am not going to apologize and back down because of how you responded to the situation a week later. I showed everyone that I’m the one with a backbone between the two of us. At least, when I attacked you, I could look you in the [censored] eye before I forearm you across the face. At least, when I returned, I had the balls to step up to you and give you the challenge that I thought you deserve. A challenge that is going to give a [censored] about you. While I enjoy nothing more than to verbally abuse the [censored] out of everyone, I enjoy nothing more than helping people get to the level that they want to.
Cameron Ella Ava: What do I mean by that? Let me clarify – the way I ‘help’ them is by letting you and everyone else know that Road to Redemption is not where your luck turns up and you find yourself closer to championship aspirations. It’s not where you think that you’re getting you’re getting that ‘Cameron Ella Ava win’ that a lot of these Elitists get whenever they need that little boost to the next level. No, I’m not here to do that. I’m here to win, collect my check, and go home. But, that’s not the only reason I’m here. I am here to remind you and everyone else that there’s not going to be anybody that can replace me or take my spot in this industry. Especially you, Hikari. Many men and women have tried. They’ve tried to replicate me over and over again, but nothing beats the original. At Road to Redemption, I am going to ‘help,’ you and set your course this season in a different direction. If you thought that you had your entire road to Pain for Pride figured out, then, aren’t you going to be in for a surprise?
(Hikari Kanno chuckles in response as Cameron Ella Ava stands there, awaiting Hikari’s response.)
Hikari Kanno: I know where my road is taking me. I’m on my way to becoming a champion in my own right. I’m aware that you made your aspirations of being World Champion clear, but only one of us is going to get there first and I am going to do everything I can to have it be me. You point out the possibility of changing the trajectory of my season. This match against you should feel like nothing more than a career-defining moment for me, but I don’t feel butterflies. I don’t feel like I am stepping inside the ring with someone who is a legend in this business. I should look at you and have this immense respect for you. You are nothing more than a trailblazer for women’s wrestling. You played a major role in the evolution of women’s wrestling, but I don’t respect you, Cameron.
(The crowd begins to boo at that declaration.)
Hikari Kanno: Every bit of respect that I had for you disappeared the moment that you stated that you wanted to be a star in every story.
Cameron Ella Ava: Is that supposed to be a terrible thing? I should be the star of everyone’s story. I should be the focal point. I should be treated like the [censored] legend I am because it’s at least what this company can do for me after all I have done for it.
Hikari Kanno: There’s no doubt that you’ve done a lot for EAW, but that’s not the point of what I’m trying to get across. Let’s not get things warped right here. I don’t respect you, Cameron. It’s baffling for someone who has accomplished as much as you have to feel this kind of discontentment. Multi-time World Champion, Hall of Famer, co-Female Elitist of the Decade, Triple Crown Champion, and all of these amazing feats and accomplishments, but I don’t blame you, Cameron. I mean, if I spent the majority of my career being a secondary act in someone’s story, I’d feel some discontent.
(Cameron Ella Ava’s face pops up at Hikari Kanno’s point. There is a bit of intrigue as to where Hikari is going with this, but her face becomes interested.)
Hikari Kanno: Good, that got your attention. I need you to keep it on me because what I gotta say is going to be good. I look at your reasons for returning and honestly, there’s a part of me that doesn’t blame you whatsoever. There’s a part of me that can look at things from your perspective. There is one part of Cameron Ella Ava that’s held as an all-time great. She is the bar set for any woman who decides to waltz into this company. She has set the standard for everyone to follow suit. There’s another part of Cameron Ella Ava that’s always resorted to being a secondary act in someone else’s story. There’s always been that Cameron Ella Ava that has been afraid of going after what she wants. She has always had to place her aspirations to the side because her sister wants to do it, her husband wants to do it and it kind of [censored] me off. I could never resort to stepping aside and letting the worst Ava sister out of the bunch become Universal Women’s Champion. I could never resort to becoming a secondary act in my significant other’s story.
Hikari Kanno: For the past four years, every little thing going on with you has something to do with him. He’s been the motivation. He’s been the reason. He has been ‘it’ for you to the point that you have completely blinded yourself to how things have really looked for you. You called yourself ‘The Goddess’ for so long, but when was the last time that you believed that you were one? When was the last time that you did things for yourself? When was the last time that your actions were for yourself and not for your husband or sisters? I don’t want to step inside the ring with that variation of Cameron Ella Ava. I’m more intrigued with this new moniker that you returned with. I’m curious as to what ‘The Serpent’ is all about because I am going to look forward to nothing more than ripping your head off your body. I am not going to allow a match like this to set me back all because you’re afraid of losing your spot.
(Cameron Ella Ava puts on a smile, reading to laugh at Hikari Kanno’s statement about losing her spot. Hikari Kanno can sense that she may have gotten underneath Cameron’s skin with this particular point. Hikari has always been good at saying the one thing to get underneath the skin of her opponent and in Cameron’s case, this may have been it.)
Cameron Ella Ava: I’m afraid of losing my spot, you say? Me? (chuckles) Well –
James Peters: – A ‘WONDER WOMAN’ FOREARM STRIKE TO THE FACE OF HIKARI KANNO, BUT HIKARI DUCKS AS SHE RICHES TOWARD CAMERON ELLA AVA, TAKING HER DOWN WITH A SLING BLADE! The former World Champion is taken down as Hikari looks to humiliate the Hall of Famer by applying the paradise lock, and clubbing punches to the back of her head. Hikari calls this move: ‘Memories of Miku.’ Hikari takes a few steps back before running forward with a punt kick to Cameron –
Rich Russillo: BUT, CAMERON ELLA AVA RISES UP A BIT AS SHE GRABS HIKARI KANNO BY HER ANKLES, TRIPPING HIKARI IN THE PROCESS. CAMERON ROLLS HIKARI AROUND BEFORE APPLYING ‘KARMA,’ WHICH IS CAMERON’S VARIATION OF THE SPIDER TWIST, BUT HIKARI IS TRYING TO ROLL HERSELF OUT OF THE MOVE! She refuses to give Cameron the satisfaction of seeing her in a vulnerable position.
Persephone: Just look at that! Hikari Kanno is trying to look for a way to lift Cameron Ella Ava off her feet and it seems like Hikari is trying to get the former Answers World Champion onto one of her shoulders. ‘Alleluia’ – the northern lights bomb, BUT CAMERON SLIDES BEHIND HIKARI BEFORE NAILING HER WITH A ‘WONDER WOMAN PUNCH’ AS THAT TAKES THE FORMER UNIFIED TAG TEAM CHAMPION DOWN! CAMERON PICKS UP HIKARI AND THROWS HER THROUGH THE MIDDLE ROPE AND OUT OF THE RING. CAMERON ROLLS OUT OF THE RING AS SHE PICKS UP HIKARI –
James Peters: HIKARI KANNO POPS BACK UP, DELIVERING AN UPPERCUT TO CAMERON ELLA AVA THAT SENDS THE HALL OF FAMER BACK! HIKARI FOLLOWS THAT UP WITH A CHOP TO THE CHEST OF CAMERON AND ANOTHER ONE AND ANOTHER ONE. HIKARI SPINS AROUND AND FOLLOWS THAT UP WITH A THRUST KICK THAT SENDS CAMERON BACK TO THE BARRICADE. HIKARI GETS A FRONT HEADLOCK ON CAMERON AND IT SEEMS LIKE SHE’S GOING FOR THE ‘BRIGHTSTAR’ ON THE RINGSIDE FLOOR! THAT HIGH-ANGLE URANAGE SLAM IS NOTHING TO JOKE ABOUT! HIKARI ANGLES UP CAMERON HIGH –
Rich Russillo: But, Cameron Ella Ava manages to jump out of a position of the hold as –
Persephone: –CAMERON ELLA AVA DELIVERS A SWIFT KICK TO THE BACK OF HIKARI KANNO’S KNEE AS THAT TAKES ‘THE PENITENT IDOL’ TO HER BACK! NOW, CAMERON BEGINS TO ATTACK THE KNEE. THE SAME KNEE THAT HIKARI KANNO INJURED ABOUT A YEAR AGO. THE SAME KNEE THAT TOOK HIKARI OUT OF ACTION FOR THREE MONTHS. CAMERON IS TRYING TO SNAP THAT KNEE BACK. She gets to her feet and begins to place all her weight on Hikari’s knee as the former Unified Tag Team Champion begins to shriek in pain. Cameron is looking down at Hikari with no mercy at all.
James Peters: I notice that, Seph. This is a Cameron Ella Ava that we haven’t seen in a long, long time. NOW, SHE GETS HIKARI KANNO’S RIGHT KNEE AND TAKES IT NEAR THE STEEL STEPS! SHE EXTENDS THE LEG OF HIKARI’S BACK BEFORE SMASHING IT FORWARD. HER KNEE COLLIDED WITH THE STEEL STEP HIKARI IMMEDIATELY CLUTCHES HER KNEE, BUT IT SEEMS LIKE CAMERON IS NOT DONE YET.
Rich Russillo: Did you hear the clanking of that steel step? Cameron Ella Ava is demanding a steel chair as one of the timekeepers hands her one. But, Cameron is demanding another steel chair as the timekeeper scrambles to give her another chair. She walks over to Hikari Kanno, who is trying to cling onto the skirt of the ring apron, BUT CAMERON SWIFTLY KICKS THE BACK OF HIKARI’S KNEE, KNOCKING HER BACK! CAMERON OPENS ONE OF THE STEEL CHAIRS AND WRAPS HIKARI’S LEG AROUND IT. HER KNEE IS RIGHT ON TOP OF THE STEEL. OH GOD, CAMERON, DON’T DO THIS –
Persephone: CAMERON ELLA AVA RAISES THE OTHER STEEL CHAIR AND SLAMS IT DOWN ON HIKARI KANNO’S KNEE! :damn: :damn: :damn: But, Cameron doesn’t stop there. SHE CONTINUES TO SLAM THE STEEL CHAIR ON HIKARI’S KNEE! THE STEEL CHAIR WRAPPED AROUND HIKARI’S KNEE IS COMPLETELY STUCK! CAMERON CONTINUES TO SLAM DOWN THE STEEL CHAIR. THE SHRIEKING OF ‘THE PENITENT IDOL’ IS PROBABLY HEARD FROM OUR NOSEBLEED SEATS AS HIKARI IS TRYING TO PUT ON A BRAVE FACE! SHE IS GRINDING HER TEETH IN PAIN, BUT CAN’T HELP, BUT LET OUT A NOISE!
James Peters: Now, Cameron Ella Ava is pressing down on the seat of the steel chair, applying more pressure to Hikari Kanno’s knee. What has gotten into Cameron’s mind? This isn’t Cameron Ella Ava at all!
Rich Russillo: Cameron Ella Ava doesn’t care about how she is perceived by her actions anymore, James. She is going to do what she wants when she wants and if you don’t like it, she doesn’t care. Cameron is pressing down on Hikari’s knee with her entire body weight! She extends her arms wide open in confidence! Someone has got to stop this before Hikari really does injure her knee –
(A ton of referees come down the ramp, looking to stop the mess at ringside. A couple of referees tend to Hikari Kanno and her knee. The other referees are trying to get Cameron Ella Ava to leave ringside. Despite the referees yelling at Cameron, Cameron looks at Hikari with a sly smirk on her face, proud of her handiwork.)
Persephone: When Hikari Kanno meets her in the ring at Road to Redemption… :lupe:
James Peters: If she makes it to Road to Redemption.
Rich Russillo: I’m just in complete shock, right now. This Cameron Ella Ava may be more dangerous and calculated than she’s ever been. That wasn’t a message for Hikari Kanno, but for the Votlage roster. Watch out for ‘The Serpent.’
(Cameron Ella Ava begins to walk her way up the ramp with a cold facial expression. The crowd has completely no clue how to respond to the situation. There’s a bunch ofrumbling going off in the arena. Some are booing. Others are showing a sign of concern to Hikari Kanno. The referees are calling for backup for Hikari at ringside, who is sitting herself up, getting her knee tended to. She looks at Cameron, knowing that she is going to enjoy giving Cameron the beating that she deserves at Road to Redemption.)
(Promotional ad for Road to Redemption, where Hikari Kanno and Cameron Ella Ava go head to head.)
(The camera cuts to Bella Braxton in the ring.)
Bella Braxton: The following is an Extreme Enigma Memorial Match Preview!!! And it is scheduled for one fall!
Crowd: ONE FALL!!!
(‘Primrose’ by Dream State hits, and the fans in the crowd begin to cheer for the Voltage Elitist in this match as Daryl Kinkade begins walking out to the stage. He looks focused and prepared for the upcoming match, and begins making his way down to the ring.)
Bella Braxton: Introducing first from Norwich, England he is “The Kink of Elite” DARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRYL KINKADE!!!
Rich Russillo: That Extreme Enigma Memorial Match at Road to Redemption is going to be really competitive. An Elimination Match with all kinds of wrestlers crammed up in it. Anyone could win! It’s going to be wild.
James Peters: I could not agree more. Hopefully someone from Voltage wins it, but with as big of a field as that match, we could be in for a big surprise.
( “Ready To Die” by The Notorious B.I.G. hits, and Lucas Johnson gets a far more negative reaction as he walks out to the stage. Lucas stares directly at his opponent, not wasting any time as he starts walking down the ramp and towards the ring.)
Bella Braxton: And his opponent from Long Island, New York he is “The Wrestling Machine” LUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCAS JOHNSONNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rich Russillo: Lucas Johnson is prepared for action tonight, but his upcoming match definitely won’t be easy as he’s up against Daryl Kinkade!
James Peters: Daryl is very talented, but Lucas is very experienced in his own right and can absolutely figure out a way to pick up a win. We’ll just have to wait and see how this one ends!
(DING! DING! DING!)
Rich Russillo: We are underway now as Lucas Johnson and Daryl Kinkade lock up in the ring. Lucas the Elitist from Showdown shoves Daryl across the ring as Daryl hits the ropes and comes charging back with a Double Axe Handle knocking Lucas down to the mat. Lucas back up using the ropes as he quickly fires off a kick at the leg of the advancing Daryl. Lucas takes advantage of Daryl being stunned to lift him up as he goes for a bodyslam! But Daryl flows over the back of Lucas instead landing behind him and whipping him around. Daryl lifts up Lucas and swiftly slams him down to the mat with a bodyslam of his own! Daryl isn’t done yet however as he lifts Lucas up high in the air! Lucas is struggling! He doesn’t want to be slammed again! But Daryl manages to maintain him up in the air and slams him to the mat.
James Peters: Daryl Kinkade rolls to the outside of the ring onto the apron. He measures the fallen Lucas Johnson on his back near the ropes. Daryl leaps over the top rope flipping up and into the ring with a Springboard Senton and he gets all of it! Daryl into the quick cover at the opening moments of this match.
Rich Russillo: Kickout by Lucas Johnson and the veteran talent obviously wasn’t going to be put away quite that quickly or quite that easily. Daryl helps Lucas back up and hooks the ar- No! Lucas slides around behind Daryl grabbing him from behind and shoves him into the ropes! Daryl bounces off the ropes and falls backwards towards Lucas who hammers him right in the back of the neck with a stiff Forearm Strike. Lucas has snapped as he begins stomping away at Daryl on the ground dealing some real damage. Lucas yanks Daryl back up and shoves him into the corner… but Daryl charges right back out maintaining that momentum! But Lucas ducks around behind Daryl twisting him around and dropping him with a hard Neckbreaker in the middle of the ring.
James Peters: Lucas Johnson with a kip up after hitting that Neckbreaker to show off his athleticism but it only invites loud boos from the Voltage crowd. Some of the Voltage crowd is yelling at him to go back to Showdown and if Daryl Kinkade has his way he might just send him packing right back there!
Persephone: Hopefully he doesn’t do it too soon. We need to let this match simmer.
Rich Russillo: The hate from the crowd only motivates Lucas Johnson who snaps as Daryl Kinkade pulls himself up on the ropes. Lucas driving his elbow down into the skull of Daryl forcing his neck into the ropes and choking him out. The referee counting him down demanding that Lucas get off him with threats of disqualification and Lucas breaks before five. Lucas says something the camera didn’t quite catch insulting Kinkade before grabbing him and throwing him backwards into the ring just toying with him now. Lucas off the ropes with a running Leg Drop before making the cover on Kinkade.
James Peters: Near fall for Lucas Johnson as Daryl Kinkade kicks out at two. Lucas is all business here tonight. He clearly doesn’t care about impressing the Voltage fans. He is here to win a match and that is all that “The Wrestling Machine” has in mind. Lucas yanks Daryl back up and hooks the arm he tosses Daryl backwards with a Suplex. Great form by Lucas. Daryl back up on his knees as Lucas slams his forearm into his skull repeatedly. Daryl is getting rocked. Daryl tries to fight back but Lucas easily counters the punches and delivers some of his own to Daryl who manages to remain on his knees showing the will to keep fighting that he is known for.
Crowd: LET’S GO DARYL! LET’S GO DARYL! LET’S GO DARYL!
Rich Russillo: The crowd is clearly on the Voltage Elitist’s side here tonight but Lucas Johnson doesn’t care at all. Daryl Kinkade pulls himself up to his feet… but Lucas kicks him and sends him flying back with a Spartan Kick as Daryl just got wrecked. Lucas climbs on top of Daryl and is pummeling away at him just throwing rights and lefts without abandon. Lucas runs off the ropes gaining momentum as Daryl is getting back up. LARIATOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! NO! Daryl ducks beneath and runs off the ropes in the opposite direction as Lucas whirls around in confusion. Daryl comes charging back with a lariat of his own! Down goes Lucas! Down goes Lucas! And Daryl falls over from the momentum of his own Lariat from hell but manages to pull himself back up as this could be his chance to turn this whole match around and bring that W straight on home for Voltage.
James Peters: The cover! No! Lucas Johnson gets booed heavily by the audience as he rolls outside of the ring. Lucas catching a breather as he escapes from Daryl Kinkade’s brief comeback. Daryl knocked the hell out of him as Lucas sits down outside the ring to recover. But Daryl isn’t going to let this opportunity go to waste! Daryl rolls to the outside of the ring and grabs Lucas. He grabs him and whirls him around throwing him back first into the barricade at ringside! Lucas is down and Daryl is just going in on him as he picks him up and throws him into the steel steps at ringside! But Lucas manages to leap frog the stairs and land on his feet but the momentum sends him sprawling across the floor and collapses outside the ring with Daryl in pursuit.
Persephone: I think that was more than ten seconds. It seems the referee is slacking on their countout duties. Not that I am complaining! 😃
Rich Russillo: Both competitors roll back into the ring as Lucas Johnson immediately jumps at Daryl Kinkade with shots to the face! But Daryl manages to block the blow and retaliates with several punches of his own! Lucas ducks a punch and grabs the skull of Daryl and charges full speed into the corner ramming Daryl nose first into the top turnbuckle padding repeatedly. Daryl staggers backwards into the ring as Lucas moves in to punch him repeatedly. Daryl tries to fall away but Lucas is relentless hammering away sending Daryl crashing down to the mat.
James Peters: Daryl Kinkade pulls himself up on the ropes as Lucas Johnson grabs him by the neck and brutally hurls him into the corner. Lucas lighting up the midsection of Daryl with a series of hard kicks to the gut. Daryl is reeling as Lucas hauls back and connects with a series of Shoulder Thrusts to the gut! Wait look out! Daryl leaps over the shoulder thrust of Lucas and grabs him from behind as he flips over him down to the mat pulling Lucas in for a Sunset Flip pinfall!
Rich Russillo: Quick kickout from Daryl Kinkade as Lucas Johnson remains on the attack mounting on top of Daryl once more and delivering closed fist punches to the face. Daryl manages to throw Lucas off him but Lucas is like a rabid pitbull and just won’t let go. Lucas picks up Daryl who is trying to get away. Lucas grabs Daryl and hurls him into the turnbuckle-
James Peters: No! Daryl managed to block it by grabbing the ropes! Lucas Johnson charges in! But Daryl Kinkade catches him! Daryl runs Lucas into the ring and throws him to the mat with a Spinning Side Slam! Lucas tries to roll out of the ring yet again to take a breather as we saw him do earlier. But this time Daryl cuts him off before he can employ that strategy. Daryl stomping away at Lucas repeatedly. Daryl grabs the face of Lucas and pulls! He is trying to tear his face apart as he puts fingers in his mouth and nose and yanks before the referee forces him away! But Daryl won’t let this opportunity to go to waste as he stalks on Lucas grabbing him from behind and maneuvering him into a Sleeper Hold. Lucas down on the mat and soon he may indeed be out!
Rich Russillo: Lucas Johnson is fading but he is striving to stay alive in this match. The crowd isn’t helping so this is all personal willpower on the part of Lucas. Lucas manages to stand back up to his feet as he elbows away at Daryl Kinkade in an attempt to break the hold. He does! He breaks the hold but as soon as he does Daryl grabs Lucas by the legs and tips him over! Daryl twists Lucas around into a Boston Crab and a full one at that! He hooks both legs instead of just one he’s not content with just a Half Boston Crab no he is going all the way! Daryl is riding Lucas and he is going low. Daryl is crushing the back of Lucas as Lucas screams out in pain as his spine is about to snap. Lucas may have no choice but to tap!
Persephone: Noooo! Please don’t do that! Nooooooooo oh god noooooo.
James Peters: Lucas Johnson is crawling tho! He is moving slowly across the ring towards the ropes! Lucas with the determination not to tap out and return to his brand as a loser. No he is determined to straight up win this thing. Go back with that legacy all intact as can be. The life is fading from Lucas! He reaches out! He is almost to the bottom rope! He can do it! He can make it there! He can make it anywhere!
Rich Russillo: But suddenly Daryl Kinkade breaks the hold! He gets up and he runs off the ropes driving Lucas Johnson face first into the mat with a Curb Stomp! Lucas absolutely destroyed up in here and Daryl now into the cover and this thing has to be straight up over just completely straight up if we are being real.
James Peters: The kickout! Lucas Johnson with the will to survive! Daryl Kinkade looks lightly shocked that he didn’t win that match. Not literally shook like he can’t believe it just mildly surprised as if a small part of him thought that may have ended the match but the majority of him knew that deep down the match would in fact continue.
Persephone: At this point I feel the exact same way if I am keeping it real.
Rich Russillo: Lucas Johnson slowly back up but Daryl Kinkade is waiting for him and connects with a picture perfect Dropkick! That Dropkick was so perfect and so fine that maybe Daryl should make it his finisher. That would be wild. Daryl follows it up with a hard stomp onto the face of Lucas as now it looks like Daryl is the one toying with Lucas instead having taken full control of this contest. Daryl off the ropes… looking for another Curb Stomp! But no! Lucas moves out of the way and shoves the leg of Daryl tripping him sideways. Daryl sent flipping sideways as he crashes and burns. Lucas drops the elbow on Daryl just crushing him. Daryl rolls back to his feet as he points at the Voltage logo as well as the Extreme Enigma tribute image on screen during the match to a huge pop from the crowd.
James Peters: Daryl Kinkade picks Lucas Johnson back up… but Lucas immediately connects with the Claymore Kick out of nowhere! Lucas just knocked Daryl the hell out and this match is a wrap! Daryl is dead and Lucas is pinning him! For the win!
Rich Russillo: How could this be?!?!?! The kickout by Daryl Kinkade! Daryl Kinkade rolling back up to his feed followed by Lucas Johnson! That’s crazy. Lucas is yelling at the referee believing that he is discriminating against him for being from Showdown. Don’t worry Lucas! The Voltage referees are only the most finest! Daryl catches Lucas off guard from behind grabbing him around the waist and tossing him back with the elevation! The German Suplex as he sends Lucas backwards flipping through the air and landing on his belly! But Daryl is not satisfied with only that. Nah he gotta go for something real legit. Daryl is going for it! He is going up top! To the toppest of ropes as he flies across the ring with the big impact high impact type maneuver!
James Peters: Daryl Kinkade comes off the top rope with a Flying Clothesline! But Lucas Johnson with a leaping Dropkick in midair! The two collide in the ring and crash and burn! Both men are down! Both men are out! The referee starting the count and we may just end this whole thing with a double count out!
Persephone: What a shame that would be.
Referee: ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! FIVE! SIX! SEVEN! EIGHT! NINE!
Rich Russillo: Both men somehow manage to get back up. It is amazing that they are standing after such punishment to be honest about it all. Both competitors trading punches back and forth in the ring. Lucas somehow manages to gain the advantage punching and chopping Daryl back against the ropes. Daryl bounces off but Lucas catches him… Belly to Belly Suplex!
James Peters: No! Daryl flips out of it in midair! Lucas Johnson whirls around and eats a Superkick to the face from Daryl! Lucas collapses face first in the ring and he isn’t moving! Lucas just had the soul kicked out of him into a different plane of existence from that Superkick.
Rich Russillo: But Daryl Kinkade is too tired to make the cover! Lucas Johnson slowly back up meeting Daryl Kinkade in the ring… they exchange punches… but Lucas block a shot from Daryl and connects with a Standing Enzuigiri dropping him! Lucas now making his way to the top rope! Lucas with the last gasp of this match as he thinks he can end it here! Lucas with a Flying Guillotine Leg Drop off the top crushing the larynx of Daryl Kinkade!!! Lucas with the cover!!!
James Peters: Somehow the kickout from Daryl Kinkade! Lucas Johnson can only roll onto his back and stare up at the bright lights on the ceiling just wondering what it may take to end this thing. Who even knows if he can stand up at this point or Daryl for that matter. But they are determined to prove who is the superior competitor heading into the Extreme Enigma Memorial Elimination match and they know they have a lot to fight for! Both men very slowly back up to their feet-
Rich Russillo: WAIT! NO! DARYL USES ALL HIS STRENGTH TO PUSH HIMSELF UP BEFORE GRABBING LUCAS! A BEAUTIFUL LIE!!!! DARYL CONNECTS WITH A BEAUTIFUL LIE AND NOW HE HOOKS THE LEGS!!!
(DING! DING! DING!)
Bella Braxton: Here is your winner… DARRRRRRRRRRRRRRYL KINKADEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
James Peters: What a showing by Daryl Kinkade, picking up the victory ahead of Road to Redemption’s Extreme Enigma Memorial Match!
Rich Russillo: A very competitive match and we are just getting started with these two. It will be interesting to see if the result of this match means anything and is relevant for the match at Road to Redemption.
(‘Primrose’ hits to cheers from the crowd as Daryl Kinkade slowly rolls off of Lucas Johnson. He has his arm raised in victory, and from there Voltage fades away from ringside.)
(Commercial promoting Fortnite, featuring the new tutorial mode as Ronan Malosi is seen learning the controls.)
(The camera cuts backstage to a medium shot of Charlie Marr, who’s sat down in front of a roller shutter, looking down at the Hardcore Title, which rests on his lap. Charlie then places the title on his shoulder, and stares straight at the camera, receiving a negative reaction from fans, not that he cares. Marr can be seen sporting a nice, turquoise YSL blue dress shirt that brings out his gorgeous eyes and makes his sexy beard stand out. The lighting is dim, focusing solely on him.)
Charlie Marr: Earlier in the year, I won this title away from Limmy Monaghan, yet here we are, inching closer and closer towards the end of it, and no one’s been able to win it from me. Why? Well, besides the fact this brand is a **BLEEP**-ing joke, barely scraping by through my sheer star power alone, it’s because no one can win it from me. That includes no one from Voltage, no one from Dynasty, and no one from Showdown. Because since becoming the Hardcore Champion, I’ve been the very definition of dominance, going through just about anybody that has gotten in my way. From your Ronan Malosi’s, to your Lexi’s, to your Roberto De La Rosa’s, and even to your Daryl Kinkade’s…
(The crowd pops at the mention of Daryl Kinkade, which brings a small smirk to Charlie’s face.)
Charlie Marr: Just as I expected, cheering like the sheep you are, doesn’t make me a difference. It didn’t make a difference at Pain for Pride 15. You guys cheered Daryl on then, expecting him to be the man that’d take this title off me, and guess what? He didn’t, he came up short, despite having every tool at his disposal, despite hitting me with his best shots. You’d think Daryl would learn a lesson after that, but no, he’s back. He’s back, and after MY Hardcore Championship once again. Daryl, I fancy this book between us closed, but you just keep trying to open it. Much like the other two, Daryl, you’re making a mistake, and at the Christmas Show, it’ll be too late to correct it. But allow me to correct myself, because unlike some elitists around here, I’m man enough to admit when I’m wrong. Earlier, I was wrong. I called myself the definition of dominance since becoming Hardcore Champion. Which- don’t get it twisted, while true, I’ve also defined everything this title stands for, whether that be it’s morals, whether that be it’s ethics, whether that be it’s values. Hey, do me a favor. Zoom in on this title. Now!
(The cameraman zooms in on the Hardcore Championship’s front plate, and Marr continues speaking in the background.)
Charlie Marr: This isn’t just the Hardcore Title, this is Charlie Marr’s title, even if someone were to pull off a miracle, and take it from me, they’d simply be keeping it warm, attempting to fill some shoes ten times their size, because Main Event Marr already had his feet in them. …that’s enough, you can zoom back out now.
(The cameraman does as told, returning to the original shot of Charlie as the segment started.)
Charlie Marr: Ya see, I’m the greatest Hardcore Champion of all time, a greater champion than Captain Charisma, who what? Won it five times? Means he also had to lose it five separate times. I won’t even lose it once. Because that hypothetical I talked about, someone taking this title away from me, it’ll remain that. A hypothetical. Make believe. Fantasy. This title isn’t coming off my waist, or in this case, shoulder until I decide it does, until I get bored, which is a shame for the rest of the Voltage roster. Because as of right now, I’m having fun, some of the most fun in my career, getting to beat, batter, and bruise some of the best a general manager can place on my doorstep. However, somehow, people still doubt me, people still undermine me. Despite all the things I just listed, despite holding this title since March, despite leading Team Voltage to victory, despite main eventing this show almost every other week, despite being a former World Champion, despite being an EAW Hall of Famer for crying out loud, people STILL doubt me. Everytime I defend this title, there’s always that air of uncertainty with fans, who delude themselves into actually thinking I’ll lose this title to someone the caliber of ARIA, all because they place unworthy people on a pedestal, pedestals such as “next up, rising star on the year.” Lately, you people have deluded yourself into thinking I’ll lose this title at the Christmas Show, because you’ve placed yet another man on a pedestal, one you all seem to deem above mine. You know who else has deluded themselves into thinking that? That same guy, Theron Nikolas.
(Again, the crowd perks up at the mention of another fan favorite in opposition of Marr, Theron Nikolas, which causes Charlie to roll his eyes briefly, expecting the reaction.)
Charlie Marr: Theron, I get it. You scored a win over Charlie Marr, my ego would be running high as well if I did the same. But don’t let ego blind you from the facts, and the fact is: you got lucky. I’ve said this for weeks now, and a large part of that is: because it’s true. You got lucky, and these fans might not wanna accept it, you might not wanna accept it, because in your mind, you’ve spotted weakness, you’ve spotted cracks in the game of Main Event Marr. But believe me, winning one match won’t have an effect on this title reign. It didn’t have an effect when I laid you out backstage either, which- considering the fact you’re competing for the Hardcore Championship is really telling. When it comes to being violent, Theron, when it comes to brawling, when it comes to thinking on your feet, I trump you in those aspects easily. All aspects it takes to be an EAW Hardcore Champion. Ya know, it’s a blessing that Captain Charisma made a match between the two of us, after all, that’s what I wanted him to do, that’s what I expected him to do, seeing as I interfered in one of your matches, and as mentioned, left you laying on your punk **BLEEP** backstage a few weeks ago. Because I’m not finished with you yet, and I won’t be finished with you until the Christmas Show. It’ll be there when I walk out victorious, getting my rightfully deserved victory over you, raising my title high in the air as a result, and it’ll be there that you’re reminded, and these fans’ll be reminded of just what kind of competitor I am, and that’s an elite one, high up in a league of his own.
Charlie Marr: I’m just annoyed that, that feel good moment for me will be tainted, given the circumstances surrounding the match, because I didn’t just want to beat Theron Nikolas in a fatal four way. I wanted to beat Theron Nikolas in the same way he “beat” me, and that’s in a one-on-one match. Unfortunately, Captain Charisma went and screwed that up because he had to add Hikari, then he had to add Daryl. If anybody else came prancing out, I’m sure he would’ve added them too, just for the fun of it. Hikari doesn’t have a legitimate reason to be in this match, neither does Daryl, who I’ll admit, while talented, his last notable win was against Ronan Malosi. If that’s grounds for a title shot, then everybody should have one at this point. The only reason they’ve found themselves in this match is to stack the deck against me, because under normal circumstances, one-on-one, no one quite stands a chance in removing this title off my waist, and while you’ve all got slightly more of a window to at the Christmas Show. Understand, I’ve thrived in situations with the odds against me before, so I see no reason as to why I can’t do it again. While being placed in situations like this would have your average champion sweating, I’m not your average champion, and that’ll hold true in more ways than one, because after Road to Redemption, I’ll be double champion, ending my 2022 off in a way only I could, and that’s on the highest of notes. Minerva might’ve survived me at Wicked Games, prolonging her reign just a little while longer, but she shares similarities with Theron in that lighting won’t strike twice.
(Charlie Marr looks down at his Hardcore Championship before staring sternly into the camera, showing that he’s the utmost focused, along with confident ahead of not just Road to Redemption, but the Christmas Show as well, fully buying into everything he says, and although the crowd reign down upon him with boos, they’re aware the competitor he is, realizing that Charlie Marr can indeed make his words come true, and him being double champion the last thing they want to happen. On that note, the camera begins to fade away from Charlie Marr, and onto elsewhere.)
(Promotional ad for Road to Redemption, featuring the no disqualifications tag team match between the Ice Aces and the team of Sierra Everett and Candice Blair.)
(Sunday Night Voltage comes back to ‘Pinky! Pinky!’ by The Idol Formerly Known as LADYBABY playing through the speakers, with the Thailand crowd cheering incredibly loud for the Ice Aces, as both Ayu Megumi and Usagi Senshi come out with an upbeat attitude. They walk down the ramp, taking in the people’s cheers while Ayu high fives and hugs a few people in the crowd and Usagi simply waves hello at them.)
Bella Braxton: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome… Usagi Senshi and Ayu Megumi… THE ICE ACES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(Ayu and Usagi quickly entered the ring with microphones in their hands and as their music died down, Usagi took a deep breath and a small smile appeared on her face.)
Usagi Senshi: Well, I think I can finally have something to smile about. Because finally, we will able to end this stupid charade once and for all.
(The crowd cheered again when Usagi set out her objective for tonight, she was tired and didn’t want to continue dealing with this problem. She was hoping to end this at Road to Redemption and she was going to make that clear.)
Usagi Senshi: Let me say it clearly, Team Eden- do I have to say it with the hashtag?
Ayu Megumi: Well, it is in their name.
Usagi Senshi: And I don’t care enough to say it with the hashtag, so, TeAm EdEn has been a pain in our butts for long enough. It has been months of continuous fighting and heartache that me and my teammates have had to go through because of that woman, and finally it seems like there is a supposed light at the end of the tunnel. That is why after weeks of having to deal with all of this, we are in a much better mood. We are feeling a lot more confident than before because we have the chance to shut up our opponents, the chance to make Sierra Everett regret joining that group, the chance to beat Candice so bad she can’t drink those pumpkin spice lattes’ of hers properly anymore, and the chance for Ronan…actually, nevermind, we already got our revenge on him without having to lift a finger. It is mainly Candice, Sierra, and Eden specifically, and we will show her that at Road to Redemption, her saying that the Ice Aces can’t win? She’s just adding more lies to that endless pile, and she will eventually end up drowning in it.
Ayu Megumi: We are beyond tired of this whole mess, and it is an understatement to say that we have gone through a lot. ARIA was forced to spy on other people, Usagi was accused of something that she didn’t do, and they have continued to tell lies about my situation through a fake hashtag. We have been forced to fight people we respect, we were even forced to fight each other, do you think any of that is so-called Disney behavior? It is a complete utter lie that nobody believes, they are continuing to torment us because we stood up against Eden and we didn’t listen to her. We stood up for ourselves, we stood up for our beliefs, and we stood up for everyone else who’s gotten tormented by her. We don’t want to deal with this torment anymore, all of this has lasted months, precious time that we have wasted away having to deal with a woman who has shown that no matter what happens, no matter who is in her way, no matter who she uses as well, is simply looking to take complete control of this brand. All of this whole mess? Look who she ended up bringing into for this as well, Candice Blair, Ronan Malosi, Sierra Everett? They have all made the mistake of getting themselves involved and taking Eden’s side. The Ice Aces have done what they could to try and convince everyone that Eden’s a horrible person, that she is not to be trusted by the public. But clearly Candice and the other two aren’t any better, and after everything they have done, we can’t wait for Road to Redemption.
Usagi Senshi: Look, Team Eden or whatever you want to call yourselves, I warn you all once again that we are going to end this at Road to Redemption, we are going to put you to rest and put the nails in that four person coffin. Because with this being a No DQ Match, all of you are going to have a horrible night-
(And of course, ‘Rhapsody in Pink’ by Stela Cole (Clean Version) hits the speakers and instead of cheers, the arena is filled with boos. Candice Blair casually strolls onto the entrance ramp, she twirls the microphone in her hand and looked around at the crowd with a smile on her face. As her theme music dies down, Candice brings the microphone up to her mouth and is about to speak, but Usagi immediately cuts her off.)
Usagi Senshi: You know that whatever you are going to say isn’t going to work on us at all, right? We have been arguing with you endlessly at this point. No matter how much you continue to repeat it, we aren’t going to believe you, the people sitting there and listening to you won’t believe you at all. So it is best that I advise that you just give up at this point.
(Despite Usagi’s warning, Candice still keeps that smile on her face as she slowly walks down the ramp, continuing to slowly look around.)
Candice Blair: Oh, you just don’t understand do you? Of course we are going to keep repeating what we have said to all of the millions of people watching at home! Of course you won’t believe it because you are the one being accused, and the culprit 😌, and the poor innocent people in Thailand won’t believe me because you already came out here and poisoned their minds! Me, Sierra and Ronan, the only thing that we have been doing is what’s best for EAW and Disney. Usagi, you are the one with the anger problem, with Ayu being the one influenced by her, and it is not anyone’s fault but their own that they are in this position, because of your own toxic actions and reasons…
(Candice continues to walk down and just looks at the crowd as Usagi immediately notices that part.)
Usagi Senshi: Has your brain finally been fried? We’re here in the ring, not in the crowd.
(Candice seemingly ignores Usagi before finally that smile turns into a gigantic grin and she slowly responds.)
Candice Blair: Oh no, I am just looking at…a little early Christmas gift.
James Peters: WHAT THE?! IT IS RONAN AND SIERRA! While Candice was talking, Sierra and Ronan came through the crowd and rushed the ring, they are attacking both Ayu and Usagi! It was all a distraction!
Rich Russillo: It was all a trap, that is why Candice was looking towards the crowd, she was waiting for Sierra and Ronan! And seemingly without wasting any time as well, Candice rushes and enters the ring before the three of them begin stomping down on both Ayu and Usagi! Ayu and Usagi try their best to fight back but the number’s game is too much! They are being stomped out by Team Eden!
Persephone: Yeah, that is…very heroic indeed from Team Eden! That’s what the Ice Aces get for crossing Eden and doubting Disney’s vision, that should definitely teach them a lesson! 🙂
James Peters: Is this truly heroic? They attacked them behind their back and they swarmed them like a pack of hyenas, it was all a dirty tactic from them!
Persephone: Uh- Well, they saw an opportunity to beat them up- I mean, vanquish them and they took it! I am sure they will leave them alone now since they have learned their lesson-
Rich Russillo: Team Eden are not done at all! What are they doing? Ronan is grabbing Ayu by the arms and holding her up, this is unbelievable! He is forcing her to watch as now Candice and Sierra are beating down on Usagi two on one! Ayu tries to struggle away and free herself but she is unable to because of Ronan’s size! They are picking apart Usagi with all of they can- SIERRA WITH THE MOUNT EVERETT ON USAGI! Her head gets driven down into the mat with a lot of force!
James Peters: Wait, Candice grabs Usagi up again and…DISNEYLAND DESTROYER! They are using their strongest moves on Usagi and leaving her a mess, this is insane and vile! They are forcing Ayu to watch her girlfriend be mutilated like that! What kind of lesson does Disney give with that?!
Persephone: Uh…uhm…villains don’t always win?
Rich Russillo: Then the “heroes” here shouldn’t look like the villains. This isn’t hero behavior, this is downright vile. Hold on, Sierra is getting out of the ring and looking under it, she grabs a steel chair! She quickly goes back in and personally gives it to Candice, Sierra grabs the seemingly lifeless body of Usagi and holds her up with her head directly in front of Candice!
James Peters: Ayu is straight up screaming to not do it for goodness sake! This is just-
Rich Russillo: CANDICE CRACKS THE CHAIR DIRECTLY ACROSS USAGI’S HEAD! WITHOUT NO HESITATION AT ALL! Finally, Ronan lets go of Ayu and Ayu runs at her girlfriend to check on her! Ronan and Sierra are laughing at their faces and Candice just stares at the chair without any emotion on her face and then to Usagi…wait, Usagi is bleeding!
(As soon as it is shown Usagi is bleeding, the Voltage feed quickly turns black and white and as Candice notices that, she drops the chair. She motions for Ronan and Sierra to stop, and Ronan quickly throws Ayu from the ring. Sierra grabs an injured Usagi and throws her at Ayu’s feet, and a tearful Ayu Megumi quickly goes to console her girlfriend.)
Persephone: …Yay…Disney? 😅
Rich Russillo: This isn’t any win for Disney, it says on their team name, Team Eden, they aren’t fighting for Disney, they are only fighting for Eden herself.
James Peters: They can call the Ice Aces all kinds of names, but they would never force someone to watch a close one be attacked until the point of bleeding, this is simply behavior from monsters out of a messed up fairytale.
(The last shot is of Ayu cradling Usagi’s head on her lap as tears fall down her face and blood continues pouring out of her, while Voltage quickly fades to commercials after that.)
(Promotional ad for Road to Redemption, where the Extreme Enigma Memorial Match will take place.)
(Voltage returns to Sierra Everett standing in the ring, proud of what just happened moments ago.)
Bella Braxton: THE FOLLOWING CONTEST IS SET FOR ONE FALL! INTRODUCING FIRST….FROM CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA…WEIGHING IN AT 132 POUNDS…”THE CROWN JEWEL”…..SIIIERRRAAA EVVERREETTTTT!!!!!
(The crowd immediately boos after what just took place, and Sierra smiles soaking in all those boos almost mocking the crowd.)
(Before long, the boos come to an end as “Enemy Strike” by Yuki Hayashi plays. While the music plays the crowd erupts, giving Myles a positive reaction as he makes his way out to the ring for his first match since Pain for Pride. There is a really focused expression on his face, completely locked in on getting the victory.)
Bella Braxton: AND HER OPPONENT….FROM MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA…WEIGHING IN AT 215 POUNDS….”THE WARLORD”…. MYYYYLLLLEEESSSS!!!!
James Peters: The entire world is still buzzing after Myles made his return at Wicked Games. And he looks to keep on with his winning ways of last season here tonight.
Rich Russillo: You have to wonder though if Yhwach O’Hara has his eyes close on this match, and if Myles should have eyes at the back of his head.
James Peters: Of course he does. This is Myles’ first match since Pain for Pride. If anyone would be watching, it’s him.
(Ding! Ding! Ding!)
James Peters: And this match is underway, and this should be a good one as Sierra and Myles circle the ring, waiting for the other to make the first move, and several seconds later both then lock up in a collar and elbow tie-up, Myles backs her up in the corner, but Sierra is demanding that Myles back up away from her, which the referee forces him to do. Myles is daring her to step up to him now, and then they both lock up once more, and Myles has her in a side headlock before flipping her on her back, but Sierra uses her legs on Myles head as he let’s go and they both race back to their feet, and here comes Myles with a full head of steam in the corner – But Sierra moved at the last second as she rolls Myles up and immediately tries going for the win..
Rich Russillo: Nope! Sierra tried to get a quick win, but Myles escapes out of the pin and they both stand back up as Sierra runs towards him, but Myles catches her with a step up knee strike across the bridge of the nose! Sierra immediately rolls out of the ring holding her nose fearing the worst after that hit, and the referee is making sure there is no blood – BUT MYLES ISN’T HAVING ANY OF THIS AS HE FLIES THROUGH THE SECOND ROPE AND TAKES OUT SIERRA WITH A SUICIDE DIVE! Myles has all of the momentum in the early goings as he picks Sierra up and tosses her back inside the ring.
Persephone: Myles hops up on the apron, and then flips through the second rope and delivers a leaping enziguri kick to the side of the head, and Sierra drops down to a knee not having a clue on where she is. Myles runs off the ropes and then delivers a shining wizard to the back of her head, and Myles doesn’t go for the cover though, like he knows that won’t put her away yet. Myles is stalking Sierra now waiting for her to turn around – AND THEN MYLES DELIVERS A HIGH KNEE AS SIERRA FALLS BACK INTO THE CORNER, AND THEN MYLES RUNS AND DELIVERS A BICYCLE KICK TO THE FACE! AND THEN MYLES DROPS DOWN FOR THE COVER!
James Peters: Sierra gets her shoulder up at two, and Myles goes back on the offense and picks her up and places her between the legs, and Myles is going for a powerbomb as he lifts her up….BUT SIERRA REVERSES IT INTO A SUNSET FLIP PIN! BUT MYLES IS ONE STEP AHEAD AS HE ROLLS THROUGH IT BACK TO HIS FEET AND GOES TO KICK SIERRA RIGHT TO THE HEAD – BUT SHE DUCKS IT AND POPS BACK TO HER FEET…AND THEN DELIVERS A RECOIL FACEBREAKER! What a sequence that was between the two of them with Sierra getting the better of Myles.
Rich Russillo: Sierra takes a few seconds to catch her breath before standing back up,and then she runs off the ropes, and then slides underneath Myles legs – AND THEN TAKES HIM DOWN WITH REVERSE DDT! Now it’s Sierra who doesn’t go for the cover knowing she has to do much more to put Myles away, and she quickly makes her way to the corner and ascends up the top rope – AND SHE LEAPS OFF GOING FOR A FROG SPLASH! BUT MYLES MOVES OUT OF THE WAY, BUT SIERRA CHANGED GEARS IN MID AIR SEEING IT COMING AS SHE ROLLS FORWARD TO HER FEET, AND BOTH RACE TO THEIR FEET ONCE AGAIN…AND MYLES RUNS AT SIERRA BUT SIERRA SIDESTEPS AND SENDS MYLES SHOULDER FIRST INTO THE RING POST THROUGH THE SECOND TURNBUCKLE! SIERRA PULLS MYLES OUT AND THEN ROLLS HIM UP!!
James Peters: And Myles kicks out of it again as they both stand back up – AND THEN SIERRA RAMS HER KNEE INTO THE SIDE OF HIS HEAD AS HARD AS SHE POSSIBLY CAN! BUT NO, MYLES SIDESTEPS IT AND THEN TAKES SIERRA DOWN WITH A JUMPING NECKBREAKER! Both of these competitors making the other earn every single inch in the early stages of this match. Myles uses the ropes to pull himself up and then grabs Sierra by the head looking to go back on the attack!
Persephone: Myles has her head, but Sierra is trying to fight back with all she’s got with shots to the ribcage…BUT MYLES AGAIN ISN’T DEALING WITH IT AS HE REPEATEDLY USES HIS KNEE AS A BATTERING RAM TO SIERRA’S FACE! Sierra stumbles back up against the ropes in a vulnerable position…AND MYLES CHARGES AT HER AS FAST AS HE CAN! But quick thinking from Sierra as she delivers a back body drop sending Myles over the top rope to the outside floor! Sierra looks at the top rope once more as she climbs to the top looking down on Myles! Myles stands up on the outside and turns around – AND SIERRA TAKES OUT MYLES WITH A CROSSBODY FROM THE TOP ROPE ON THE OUTSIDE! Sierra stands and she’s fired up right now.
(Instant replay of the crossbody off the top rope to the outside on Myles from Sierra.)
Rich Russillo: Sierra after a moment gets Myles up and then rolls him back as Sierra hops up on the apron measuring Myles up. Myles stands and turns around – AND SIERRA DELIVERS A SLINGSHOT SPEAR FROM THE APRON! WHAT A FLURRY FROM SIERRA AS SHE HOOKS THE LEG FOR THE COVER!!
James Peters: But Myles stays in it getting the shoulder up. Sierra right away looks to go back on the attack by picking Myles up, but it’s Myles who fights back now with am uppercut to the jaw that causes Sierra to stumble back a few feet, and then Myles hits a spin kick to the midsection before running off the ropes – AND THEN DRIVES THE KNEE INTO HER SKULL WITH FULL FORCE AND THEN FOLLOWING IT UP WITH A NECKBREAKER! Myles might be in full control here now as he scoots to the corner and then pulls himself up, now stalking Sierra from behind as she stirs back to her feet…
Rich Russillo: Myles grabs Sierra’s arm and pulls her in for a ripcord knee…. But Sierra catches the leg and drops Myles on his back, and now what is she going to do? SIERRA HAS BOTH OF HIS LEGS HOOKED, AND THEN DROPS DOWN AND LAUNCHES MYLES FACE FIRST INTO THE CORNER! BUT MYLES JUST LANDED ON THE SECOND TURNBUCKLE LIKE HE’S SPIDER-MAN! SIERRA HAS NO IDEA AS SHE STANDS UP – AND MYLES HITS A CROSSBODY OF HIS OWN FROM THE SECOND TURNBUCKLE! AND HE FOLLOWS THAT UP WITH THE COVER!!
Rich Russillo: SIERRA JUST ESCAPES OUT OF IT AND THEY BOTH RISE UP – AND A FOREARM STRIKE TO THE FACE FROM MYLES! A RIGHT HAND FROM SIERRA! MYLES! SIERRA! SIERRA! Both went back and forth but it looks like Sierra may have control as she has Myles balanced up on the ropes, and then delivers an Irish whip into the ropes, but Myles counters it sending her into the ropes, And Myles bends over for a back body drop – BUT SIERRA DOESN’T TAKE THE BAIT, INSTEAD HITTING A DDT SPINNING MYLES HEAD INTO THE MAT! Sierra is holding her own in there so far playing chess with a former World Champion.
James Peters: Now what does she do? Sierra is almost begging for Myles to stand as she regroups in the corner, AND SHE RUNS UP BEHIND MYLES LOOKING FOR “APHRODITE’S KISS!!!” SIERRA GOES FOR HER ROLLING CUTTER – BUT MYLES SLIPS OUT OF IT AND THEN DELIVERS A ROUNDHOUSE KICK TO THE SIDE OF THE HEAD! Sierra might not have a clue on where she is at the moment, AS MYLES DELIVERS A SPINNING BACK HANDED ELBOW SHOT TO THE FACE DROPPING SIERRA LIKE A SACK OF POTATOES! Now it’s Myles in control thinking of what next he has to do to put the match away…
Persephone: UH OH! I THINK SIERRA MAY HAVE BEEN PLAYING POSSUM THERE AS SHE GRABS MYLES’ ARM AND DROPS HIM STOMACH FIRST TO THE MAT…SIERRA HAS “SILENT HILL” LOCKED IN!! THE FUJIWARA ARMBAR IS APPLIED AS MYLES HAS NOWHERE TO GO IN THE CENTER OF THE RING! SIERRA IS WRENCHING BACK ON THAT ARM SCREAMING AT MYLES TO TAP OUT, WHICH WE ALL KNOW IS A VERY HARD TASK, AND MYLES IS TRUING HIS BEST TO CRAWL AND REACH THAT FREE HAND OUT FOR THE BOTTOM ROPE, BUT HE’S STILL GOT QUITE A WAY TO GO, CAN HE GET THERE?
Rich Russillo: AND MYLES CONTINUES TO DRAG HIMSELF THERE, BUT SIERRA IS NOT MAKING IT EASY! HE’S A FEW INCHES AWAY NOW…..BUT SIERRA LETS GO OF IT, KNOWING MYLES WAS ABOUT TO FORCE A BREAK, AND THEN SHE DRAGS HIM BACK TO THE CENTER OF THE RING LOOKING TO LOCK IT IN ONCE MORE – BUT MYLES USES HIS FEET TO PUSH HER AWAY…BUT NOW LOOK! SIERRA HOLDS ON TO THE LEG AND APPLIES AN ANKLE LOCK!!! MYLES AGAIN IS STUCK WITH NOWHERE TO GO, WHAT IS HE GOING TO DO? SIERRA TWISTING THAT ANKLE ASMYLES REACHES OUT FOR THAT ROPE….AND SIERRA DRAGS HIM BACK TO THE CENTER OF THE RING! Myles just might be in some serious trouble right here!
Persephone: MYLES IS REFUSING TO GIVE IN HERE AS HE TRIES TO CRAWL TO THE ROPE ONCE MORE, AND HE REACHES OUT – AND MYLES ROLLS FORWARD SENDING SIERRA FACE FIRST INTO THE TURNBUCKLE! Some quick and smart thinking there from the former World Champion, and now….Sierra turns around – AND WALKS STRAIGHT INTO A SUPERKICK FROM MYLES! MYLES HAS HER RIGHT WHERE HE WANTS HER…AND MYLES PICKS HER UP…”WRATH OF PANDORA!!!” MYLES SPIKES SIERRA’S HEAD STRAIGHT INTO THE MAT AS MYLES QUICKLY FLIPS HER OVER AND GOES FOR THE COVER!!
James Peters: AND SIERRA KICKS OUT AND SURVIVES! Myles doesn’t waste any time as he straight away tries to transition into “Checkmayt”!! MYLES IS TRYING TO LOCK IN HIS SUBMISSION, BUT SIERRA IS FIGHTING WITH ALL SHE’S GOT TO NOT LET IT HAPPEN! Sierra then grabs the rope beside her and clutches onto the bottom rope for dear life as Myles is trying to pry her off, but gives up after several seconds. Sierra pulls herself up on the apron on the outside…BUT MYLES WAS WAITING AS HE DELIVERS A BICYCLE KNEE STRIKE! Myles grabs on to her and keeps her from falling, and drops her down forward as half her body hangs over the top rope, she’s pretty much a sitting duck there.
Rich Russillo: Myles…MYLES RUNS OFF THE ROPES AND DELIVERS A KNEE TO THE SIDE OF HER HEAD AS SHE’S HANGING OVER THE ROPE! HE IMMEDIATELY CLIMBS UP TO THE SECOND ROPE ON THE OPPOSITE END…AND JUMPS OFF DRIVING BOTH OF HIS KNEES ONTO THE BACK OF SIERRA’S NECK AS SHE COLLAPSES INSIDE THE RING! AND UH OH….”CHECKMAYT”!!!! “CHECKMAYT” IS SUCCESSFULLY LOCKED IN THIS TIME, THE RINGS OF SATURN, AND SIERRA IS IN SOME SERIOUS TROUBLE RIGHT NOW, ESPECIALLY AFTER TAKING ALL THAT DAMAGE MYLES JUST DID!
James Peters: Sierra looks like she’s out. She isn’t giving up, but I’m not sure how much energy she has after that flurry from Myles a few seconds ago. The referee drops her hand once….and then a second! One more time and this match is over –
Rich Russillo: BUT NO!!!! SIERRA DOESN’T LET HER HAND DROP! AND SIERRA USES THE ADRENALINE SHE HAS AND TRIES TO DRAG HERSELF TO THE ROPES….CAN SHE GET THERE – LOOK OUT!! SIERRA SOMEHOW REVERSES IT INTO A PIN!!
Persephone: DID SHE GET HIM?! NO THE REFEREE SAYS IT WAS TWO AND A HALF AS MYLES SURVIVES AND THEY BOTH STAND UP – AND MYLES RUNS AT HER, BUT SIERRA COUNTERS WITH A HIP TOSS! Sierra buying herself some valuable time to recoup here after taking some heavy blows from Myles there. Does she have enough to pull it off here tonight?
James Peters: We’re about to find out as both of them pull themselves up using the ropes on opposite ends of the ring from the other. And then both turn around to face each other, kick to the midsection from Sierra going for perhaps a DDT….BUT MYLES SPINS OUT OF IT…UPPERCUT FROM MYLES AS HE DELIVERS A SNAPMARE, AND THEN RUNS OFF THE ROPES LOOKING FOR THE LOW KNEE STRIKE – BUT SIERRA DUCKS BACKWARDS AS MYLES MISSES WILDLY, AND SIERRA OUT OF ADRENALINE…… THE BACKSTABBER! THE BACKSTABBER INTO “PENDULUM SHIFT”!!! SIERRA HAS HER CROSS FACE SUBMISSION LOCKED IN ON MYLES, AND NOW WHAT DOES MYLES DO?! He went for the home run shot and it might cost him the match.
Rich Russillo: MYLES STILL IS REFUSING TO GIVE UP, AND HE BEGINS TO CRAWL TO THE ROPES ONCE MORE! MYLES IS GETTING CLOSER AND REACHES OUT, ONLY FINGERTIPS AWAY…AND HE GRABS THE BOTTOM ROPE!!! Myles refusing to quit and you can see the frustration on Sierra’s face as she now pounds the mat. Sierra doesn’t stay frustrated for long as she rolls under the bottom rope and begins to ascend up the top rope. Going high risk at this stage of the match is extremely risky, but you gotta pull out all the steps to beat a competitor like Myles.
James Peters: Sierra stands tall on the top rope – Myles stands up in pain before turning around, AND SIERRA LEAPS OFF THE TOP GOING FOR “THE HIGHS AND THE LOWS” TOP ROPE STUNNER……
Persephone: BUT MYLES COUNTERS WITH A DROPKICK TO THE FACE IN MID AIR!!! Sierra took a huge risk and it may have just blew up in her face. Myles and Sierra are both down now, and then both begin to slowly stir to their feet. Myles though is a tad bit quicker as….THE BIG BOOT DROPS SIERRA, AND THIS TIME IT’S MYLES WHO MAKES HIS WAY UP TO THE TOP! MYLES BALANCES HIMSELF UP ON THE TOP LOOKING DOWN ON SIERRA – THE FROG SPLASH FROM MYLES!!!! WHAT HEIGHT MYLES GOT THERE AS HE HOOKS THE LEG FOR THE COVER!!! IS THIS GOING TO BE ENOUGH TO PUT SIERRA AWAY?
Rich Russillo: AND SIERRA STILL KICKS OUT OF IT AT THE LAST MILLISECOND! What a battle this has been between two warriors here tonight. And now Myles slowly gets Sierra up off the mat, looking to go for the kill shot to put Sierra away for good – But before we could know what he had in mind, Sierra is fighting back with shots to the ribs – AND THEN A HIGH KNEE TO THE FACE! AND THEN SIERRA HITS A SUPERKICK OF HER OWN AS MYLES DROPS DOWN TO A KNEE, AND HE’S IN SERIOUS TROUBLE RIGHT NOW!!
James Peters: AND THEN A SECOND SUPERKICK WHILE ON HIS KNEES! SIERRA KNOWS THIS IS HER OPPORTUNITY AS SHE PICKS MYLES UP AND GETS HIM IN POSITION – “MOUNT EVERETT!!!!!!!” THE ONE HANDED ELECTRIC CHAIR DRIVER ON MYLES! An exhausted Sierra slowly flips Myles over on his back, AND SHE HAS THE COVER! IS SIERRA REALLY GOING TO PULL THE UPSET?!
James Peters: OH!!! THE REFEREE SPOTS MYLES FOOT ON THE BOTTOM ROPE!!! What great ring awareness there from the former World Champion. And Sierra pounds the mat frustrated that Myles survived “Mount Everett ” The million dollar question is though was that Sierra’s best shot?
Rich Russillo: After several seconds, Sierra makes her way over to the corner and she begins to climb up top again. It didn’t work out for her last time, but Myles hasn’t moved an inch. Sierra looks to add the exclamation point…but Myles wisely rolls away from Sierra to the point she can’t reach him. Was that awareness or just flat out luck?
James Peters: It got the job done, And Sierra hops off the top rope in annoyance, AND RUNS FULL SPEED AT A SEATED MYLES IN THE CORNER LOOKING FOR THE DOUBLE KNEES TO THE FACE – BUT MYLES MOVES AT THE LAST SECOND AS SIERRA CRASHES AND BURNS KNEES FIRST IN THE CORNER! Myles rolls away and then stirs to his feet seeing Sierra in a vulnerable spot..MYLES RUNS OFF THE ROPES AND GOES FOR A BICYCLE KNEE STRIKE…..BUT NOBODY HOME AS SIERRA SIDESTEPS IT, AND THEN BENDS HIM DOWNWARDS FOR “APHRODITE’S KISS!!!” SHE GOES FOR HER ROLLING CUTTER ONCE MORE –
Persephone: BUT MYLES MANAGES TO SLIP OUT OF IT AND RUNS OFF THE ROPES – AND CATCHES SIERRA OFF GUARD WITH A BICYCLE KICK! THE BICYCLE KICK THIS TIME GOT HER! And both of them are down now once more. It’s a matter of just who wants it more right now, each competitor has made the other work for every inch here tonight.
Rich Russillo: Myles feels the end may be in sight, and he’s not giving Sierra a second to recover! Myles picks her up off of the mat and quickly gets her in position – “DE FACTO!!!” MYLES HITS THE SPINNING PUMPHANDLE SAMOAN DROP AS HE FLIPS SIERRA OVER AND HOOKS THE LEG FOR THE COVER! WILL THIS BE DO IT?!
(Ding! Ding! Ding!)
(“Enemy Strike” by Yuki Hayashi plays, and Myles slowly rolls off of Sierra Everett. The crowd cheers as as Myles stands and gets his hand raised in victory. Sierra slowly rolls out of the ring in pain, having to recover from that match.)
Bella Braxton: HERE IS YOUR WINNER…..MYYYYLLLEEESSSSS!!!!!!!
James Peters: Wow, what a battle that was! Myles makes a statement, but Sierra sure didn’t make it easy for him. Congratulations to Myles on the victory!
Rich Russillo: Let’s not forget that this was his first match since Pain for Pride. Despite all that time away from the ring, Myles proved that he’s ready to go back to competing on a weekly basis again.
James Peters: Yeah. We said that Yhwach should’ve been watching this match real closely, and I think that statement stands more than ever right now.
(The final shot is of Myles celebrating his win up the ramp with a very focused look on his face as Sierra isn’t pleased with how that match finished.)
(Commercial for “HEROES & VILLAINS” by Metro Boomin, as Hunnid Honcho claims to have a special verse on the album.)
(“DESTINY” by Saori Yoshida plays through the speakers and the crowd cheers loudly for the Sacred Detective, ARIA, who calmly walks out with a microphone in her hand and a slightly somber smile on her face. She was definitely not in the best mood after what she had to see awhile ago when Usagi got attacked, but she still pulled through and walked out wanting to say a few things that were on her mind.)
Bella Braxton: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome… ARIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
James Peters: And here comes one of the participants in the Specialists Chamber, ARIA! There must be a lot of thoughts running through her mind as she is close to competing at Road to Redemption, especially now after what happened earlier tonight.
Rich Russillo: It can definitely be seen on her face that she isn’t very happy because of what happened to one of her teammates, but she is still coming out seemingly with a lot to say despite what happened.
Persephone: ARIA is a detective, she has already seen ugly things in crime scenes before, I am sure she is used to it! She is probably just going to say very happy news and make sure nobody worries!
(ARIA finally reaches the ring as she climbs up the steel steps and enters inside. She takes slow steps towards the center just as her music stops and takes a deep breath in and a deep breath out before she raises her voice.)
ARIA: Hello Thailand! How are you doing? ฉันหวังว่าคุณจะมีค่ำคืนที่วิเศษ! (I hope you are having a wonderful night!)
(The Thailand crowd cheers in response to ARIA’s question and ARIA feels a lot more energized and happy hearing them as she begins talking again.)
ARIA: I haven’t practiced my Thai in a while so I hope what I said was right, either way, I am glad to see everyone is having a wonderful night! Mine…hasn’t gone so well. Alright, let me stop being suspenseful and just get to the point, don’t worry guys, Usagi is completely fine! The paramedics were able to check on her and make sure she was alright, she was beat up pretty badly but they told me she would recover and still be clear to compete at Road to Redemption. I am very unhappy about what happened though, I sadly couldn’t be there in time to help my friends, I just arrived a few minutes ago on my bike so I wasn’t in the arena yet when it happened. If I was just here in time maybe I could have prevented it…but uhm, I can’t worry about that now, Usagi is fine, Ayu is fine as well. I am confident that my friends will be able to pull through and beat Team Eden’s butt!
ARIA: And as for me…well, where can I even start? You already know what I am going to do at Road to Redemption, and me personally, I don’t want to reveal too many thoughts and cards I have on my own, I didn’t really come here to the ring with too much of a plan, I am usually stuck in the comfort of my office telling my thoughts and saying what I believe in. But for the first time I am coming out here and speaking to all of you directly sitting here in the crowd, all by my lonesome this time. Although I am a bit surprised I haven’t experienced this kind of situation yet…Oh wait! I got it! So how about I reflect at least on my career here in EAW thus far? You might be shocked to hear this from me but I have been here for a year already, I know right? I am just as shocked as all of you are! It felt just like yesterday when I was on the Christmas Show and I ended up climbing that ladder, grabbing that contract and getting that Unique Opportunity for the Specialists Championship…and honestly, it is pretty ironic that after all of this time, after one year, I arrived at the Specialists Championship again.
ARIA: I will admit it has been a long time since I had the chance to compete for it, last time was in February where I sadly fell against Harper Lee. It was a bit underwhelming having to trip myself up at the big first step, but in the end karma acted and Harper got what she deserved. Everybody’s happy in the end, except Harper after all, right? Well, not quite, not exactly for myself when I put up the promise that I made to myself, to everybody that is standing in this arena, that no matter what, I would redeem myself and win a Championship. It was too much of a wish achieving that on the first try. I am impressed I was able to get a title shot that quickly in just my first few months, but things weren’t meant to be. I was still getting used to EAW as a whole, growing as a performer, growing as a wrestler and well…I failed. But that was back in February of 2022, we are in December, I have never lied once when I say I keep evolving. It has been a long time since I challenged for the Specialists Championship, and I am going at it again because I think it is truly my time. I believe during that period of time I have managed to grow a lot and become a far greater competitor than I was earlier this year, I grew better, I grew faster, I grew stronger.
ARIA: The last time the Specialists Championship was on Voltage was last year around this time, and no matter what happens, no matter who steps on my way, I plan to be the person to bring that title back to this brand-
(‘Unbreakable’ by Fireflight hits, as the crowd erupts into cheers. ARIA looks towards the top of the stage with a grin on her face, as she sees none other than Kylie Grace stepping out with a microphone in her left hand and her mini board in her right. Grace smiles out towards the crowd, drops the board, then rides it down the entrance ramp and towards the ring. Eventually, she pops her board up, and slides into the ring.)
Kylie Grace: Sorry to interrupt you, ARIA. I just couldn’t help but notice how you spoke about how much you’ve grown and how things are starting to come full circle for you. A year ago you were fighting for the Specialist title and now here you are a year later. Just ready to achieve what you couldn’t a year ago.. It’s honestly a beautiful story, and one that I would fully support if I wasn’t competing in this match myself. You see, I look at you and I see a woman who has definitely had more experience than me inside the ring. You’ve gone through intense situations and scenarios during your time here in EAW. Situations and scenarios that I couldn’t even begin to understand, however, why should that make me believe that I have any less of a chance at winning this match than you do?
Kylie Grace: You see, when we talk about growth, I believe that I’ve made quite a few strides myself since the time that I first arrived at this company in the beginning of the season. Everything that I’ve learned and experienced has come through adapting and putting myself in uncomfortable situations. Nobody believed I even belonged here in this company. They thought I was a girl who couldn’t take criticism and only cried when on camera. I went to sensitivity classes and began learning how to be a pro-wrestler. I lost my fear of stepping into the ring by showing up each and every week to wrestle in front of all of these people who have had my back since day one! I lost my fear of wondering what others would think of me and started to speak my mind. I’ve been fighting my fears and the same will be done when I step into that Chamber at Road to Redemption. Those things are scary looking. They give me nightmares.. But at the same time, I like the feeling it gives me. It keeps me on my toes and makes me realize that this is how far I’ve come. I’ve battled every fear and have pushed through every obstacle… Now look at me.. Facing my biggest fear as well as the largest obstacle that has ever stood in my way.. This Chamber is scary, no doubt.. But just like every fear, I believe that I can conquer this one too. Not only do I believe that I can be competitive in this chamber, but I also think that I can win it too.
Kylie Grace: I understand that there are tons of elite competition in this match, but after competing in multiple matches for the just opportunity for the title, I feel like I can do exactly what you are setting out to do, Aria, and that’s bringing the Specialist Championship back over to Sunday Nights after quite a long time. I truly this is my time to win my first championship, and I don’t care if you or anyone else tries to stop me.. Because I won’t let you…
ARIA: Just like the last two times we faced each other? What about Lexi? Did you not have the same mentally against her?
Kylie Grace: I admit. These past few weeks have been tough, but even so, due to the experiences I have had against both you and Lexi, I’m already better than I was even three weeks ago. And that may not scare you off, but it should let you know that you’re facing a much more prepared Kylie Grace at this upcoming Marquee Event.
ARIA: I’m ready to see it then Grace. We’ve had some great matches this season so far against each other, so I don’t doubt that you’ll bring your absolute best. However, I will say that your best won’t be enough to keep me from winning the Specialist Title. That’s how determined and focused I am on walking out with the belt that has teased me since the Christmas Show last year. I want this Kylie. You know I do. And I know you do as well.
Kylie Grace: One of us needs to bring the title back to Voltage. May the best woman win.
(Kylie Grace extends her hand out for ARIA. ARIA looks down at Kylie’s hand, then grabs it before the two shake hands with one another. Their eyes lock in the center of the ring, as the crowd erupts into cheers for the mutual respect that these two Elitists are showing for each other. Their determination and hunger to win doesn’t affect the friendship or the respect for each other that they have grown since the start of the season. They know that they will both put each other through hell, but it’s that competitive drive and nature that makes this match even more exciting for them. The screen shows Kylie and ARIA still staring at each other before the screen fades to black.)
(Commercial for One Piece Film Red, featuring One Piece fans Myles and Holly Arrow.)
(As Voltage returns to ringside “LIKE IT! LOVE IT” by Setsuna Yuki hits, as the crowd erupts into cheers. Out steps Ayu Megumi who doesn’t look the happiest. In fact she looks pretty upset. It has to be from earlier tonight with Team Eden destroying Usagi Senshi right in front of her. Despite what happened, Ayu makes an attempt to remain focused on the match, knowing it wouldn’t do her any good to keep thinking about what happened to Usagi.)
Bella Braxton: The following contest is set for!!
Crowd: ONE FALL!!!
Bella Braxton: Introducing first! From Okinawa, Japan!! Weighing 115lbs!!! AYU MEGUMI!!!!!
James Peters: And here comes Ayu. She doesn’t look too hot. There’s definitely a lot going on in her mind. Especially with what happened to her girlfriend earlier in the night.
Rich Russillo: She’s worried, James. She really is. It was a really bad night for her, and this is a really tough match for her to be in on such a night.
(“SUN//EATER” By Lorna Shore hits, as the crowd erupts into a loud and mixed reaction. Out steps Yhwach O’Hara, as cold of a stare as ever as he has just as emotionless and empty look on his face as he did for the past few weeks. He looks across the ramp and towards Ayu Megumi where he can sense the worry in her heart. He proceeds down the entrance ramp and towards the ring without taking his eyes off of Ayu.)
Bella Braxton: And her opponent!!! Weighing 190lbs!!! YHWACH O’HARA!!!
Rich Russillo: Imagine being worried and then you have to face Yhwach. This will be a tough task for Ayu. Since returning he has been the All Mighty.. Hopefully, what happened earlier doesn’t affect her too bad.
James Peters: This could definitely be a huge win for Ayu, but it won’t be easy and I think she knows that just as much as we do.
(DING! DING! DING!)
Rich Russillo: There’s the bell, and now this one is under way! On one side of the ring, we can see Yhwach O’Hara pacing back and forth. He looks really dialed in for this match. On the other side of the ring we can see that Ayu Megumi looks pretty hesitant in the corner right now. She probably still has Usagi getting hurt by Team Eden stuck on her mind-
Persephone: OH MY GOD YHWACH O’HARA JUST CAME STORMING IN WITH A DISCUS LARIAT THAT NEARLY RIPPED AYU MEGUMI’S HEAD FROM RIGHT OFF OF HER SHOULDERS!!!
James Peters: Ayu Megumi is down and clutching at her head. She’s definitely regretting having her mind elsewhere, because Yhwach is only going to take advantage of that. He immediately mounts on top of Ayu.. AND NOW HE DELIVERS A STRONG FOREARM STRIKE ACROSS HER FACE!!!
Persephone: Ayu’s entire head was turned off to the side just now! That forearm will surely leave a bruise, and must be the wakeup call needed for Ayu to get her mind into this match or else this about to get real ugly!!
James Peters: No Kidding, Persephone. Yhwach O’Hara quickly rises back up to his feet, then grabs Ayu by the head and hair. He brings her up to her feet, then nails her in the midsection with a strong knee strike!
Rich Russillo: That one knocked the wind out of Ayu just now! She’s clutching at her midsection in pain, but that doesn’t stop Yhwach from dealing more damage!
James Peters: No not at all! Look at him now! He’s thinking of something good! Yhwach grabs Ayu Megumi by the wrist and irish whips her hard towards the far ropes! Ayu hits the ropes on the far side then rebounds back!!
Persephone: SPINNING BACK HAND BY YHWACH!!!
Rich Russillo: NO!!! AYU DUCKS THE ARM AND CONTINUES TO THE FAR ROPES!!!
James Peters: Ayu rebounds back.. BUT SHE RUNS RIGHT INTO A KNEE STRIKE TO THE FACE THAT DROPS HER RIGHT DOWN TO THE CANVAS OF THE RING!!!
Rich Russillo: That was one of those knee strikes where your life flashes before your eyes. She ran into that one at full speed, and it’s going to be tough for her to recover from it. There is no question she’s feeling it right now.
James Peters: She’s tough though, Rich. Ayu is fully capable of fighting her way back into this. The only question is if Yhwach is going to allow her. He looks pretty content on staying on the offense while keeping the pressure on Ayu.
Rich Russillo: That’s the more vicious side of Yhwach that we are witnessing. Exploiting the mental struggle his opponent is going through in order give himself that much more of an edge against them.
Persephone: Yeah, look at him now! Yhwach now with a stomp down into Ayu Megumi’s midsection!! She’s forced into a seated position after that one, and immediately it’s Yhwach who turns around and runs to the ropes! He rebounds back.. AND BLASTS AYU MEGUMI RIGHT IN THE CENTER OF HER CHEST WITH A PENALTY KICK!!!
Rich Russillo: Yhwach is looking absolutely incredible here tonight. He has connected on some pretty brutal moves against Ayu already in this early stage of the match, and it looks like he’s really trying to make a statement out here tonight.
James Peters: Yhwach grabs Ayu Megumi from off of the ground now and brings her up to her feet. From here, he grabs Ayu by the back of the head and neck with a heavy grip, and walks her over towards the corner where he tosses her up against the corner turnbuckles!!
Persephone: FOREARM STRIKE BY YHWACH!!!!
James Peters: AND THAT’S FOLLOWED UP BY AN UPPERCUT BY YHWACH!!! WOW WHAT A MOVE!! THAT ONE SNAPPED AYU’S HEAD BACK, AND NOW I FIND IT HARD TO BELIEVE SHE EVEN KNOWS WHERE SHE IS RIGHT NOW!!
Rich Russillo: Yhwach takes a few steps back, as Ayu stumbles out of the corner. She nearly falls to the canvas, however she keeps herself up and..
Persephone: RUNNING BICYCLE KNEE STRIKE BY YHWACH!!!
Rich Russillo: NO!! AYU MEGUMI SPINS OUT OF THE WAY, AS YHWACH GOES RIGHT PAST HER!!!
James Peters: Yhwach chops his feet to slow down and come to a stop. He turns around..
Persephone: KICK TO THE STOMACH BY AYU!!! SHE LOCKS IN A FRONT FACELOCK, AND… SHE GOES FOR A SNAP DDT-
Rich Russillo: NO!! Before Ayu could bring Yhwach down to the mat, he managed to get his head free by shoving Ayu Megumi off of him!! She stumbles back a few steps, and.. IT’S A FOREARM STRIKE BY YHWACH!!!
James Peters: NO!!! AYU MEGUMI DUCKS THE ARM!!! Yhwach goes right past her, then turns around..
Persephone: RYO NO IKARI!!! THAT’S THE SUPERKICK BY AYU MEGUMI!!!
Rich Russillo: NO!!! YHWACH BLOCKED AND CAUGHT THE LEG!!! Now he.. NO WAY!! HE JUST WHIPPED THE LEG AND SWUNG AYU MEGUMI DOWN TO THE MAT WITH A DRAGON SCREW LEG WHIP!!!
James Peters: Ayu Megumi is really struggling to get any offense going for her. She started this match with her guard down, and she hasn’t yet recovered from that early mistake.
Rich Russillo: You’re right. She certainly has not recovered yet. Yhwach is showing absolutely no mercy in this match and trying to capitalize on that lack of focus Ayu had at the start of the bout by putting this one away early. If Ayu starts to gain some momentum, she can give herself a chance, but so far, Yhwach has been nothing less than vicious out there.
Persephone: And here he goes again. He grabs Ayu by the arms now, and drags her over by the corner. He eventually grabs her from the ground and leans her up against the corner turnbuckles!!
James Peters: FOREARM STRIKE ACROSS THE FACE BY YHWACH!! NOW HE DELIVERS A KNEE TO THE ABDOMEN, AND AYU GASPS OUT FOR AIR!!!
Rich Russillo: This is intense! Yhwach presses Ayu back against the turnbuckles, then backs away from her. He looks right at her from across the ring with painful intentions in mind! He rushes over!!! RUNNING HIGH KNEE IN THE CORNER BY YHWACH!!!!
Persephone: NO!!! AYU MEGUMI STEPS OUT OF THE WAY AT THE LAST POSSIBLE MOMENT, AS YHWACH LEAPS AND LANDS ON THE MIDDLE ROPE!! Yhwach looks right at Ayu Megumi and repositions himself..
James Peters: HE LEAPS IN THE AIR!!!!
Rich Russillo: FLYING FOREARM BY YHWACH!!!!
James Peters: NO!!! AYU MEGUMI WITH THE RYO NO IKARI!!! SHE JUST BLASTED YHWACH IN THE FACE WITH A SUPERKICK WHILE HE WAS IN MID-AIR!!!
Rich Russillo: And that surely affected Yhwach! He’s down on the mat and clutching at his head! This is the exact opening that Ayu Megumi needed! She caught Yhwach at the right time, and..
Persephone: Look!! He’s exiting out of the ring!!!
Rich Russillo: Oh, you’re right! Yhwach just rolled right under the bottom ropes and made his way out to ringside where he dropped down to his hands and knees.
James Peters: It looks like Ayu really gave him some problems with that superkick. His head is probably ringing right now, and he needed to exit the ring to get his mind right. A kick like that to the head could really affect you.
Rich Russillo: Yeah, Yhwach is clutching at his jaw right now and rotating his neck. Ayu definitely tagged him hard. However, it looks like Yhwach is ready to keep fighting now, as he rises up to his feet here at ringside!!
Persephone: WAIT FROM INSIDE OF THE RING!!! IT’S AYU MEGUMI RUSHING IN YHWACH’S DIRECTION!!! SUICIDE DIVE!!!!!
James Peters: AND IT’S TRANSITIONED INTO A TORNADO DDT THAT SPIKES YHWACH’S HEAD INTO THE THE THINLY PADDED RINGSIDE FLOOR!!!
Rich Russillo: Yhwach is down on the ground and staring up at the ceiling of this arena. He’s slow to get up, but he’s going to need to soon!
James Peters: You are so right, Rich!! Look over there! It’s Ayu Megumi! She’s gotten herself quite a few feet away from Yhwach, and now she’s going into a handspring corkscrew moonsault!!!
Persephone: AND IT CONNECTS!!! AYU MEGUMI JUST SLAMMED HER BODY RIGHT INTO YHWACH’S BODY!! WOW!!
James Peters: The referee has made it to the count of six, and it looks like Ayu Megumi is trying to take this one back into the ring. She grabs Yhwach and brings him up. She then walks him over to the side of the ring, and attempts to slide him back in!!
Rich Russillo: But no!! Yhwach lands a mean back elbow that catches Ayu Megumi right across the face! She staggers back a few steps.. SUPERKICK!!! YHWACH JUST LANDED A SUPERKICK THAT DROPS AYU MEGUMI DOWN TO THE GROUND!!
Referee: Seven.. Eight..
James Peters: Yhwach looks back at Ayu. He’s still recovering, however he’s in a much better position than before, as he looks to regain the same amount of control that he had earlier on in this match. Yhwach slides through the bottom ropes and back into the ring! Behind him is Ayu Megumi who is slowly working her way to her feet!
Persephone: She eventually gets there, as the referee reaches the count of nine! Ayu quickly makes her way towards the ring, then slides in under the bottom rope! She then pops up to her feet…
Rich Russillo: AND SHE GETS WHIPPED DOWN TO THE MAT WITH A SLING BLADE FROM YHWACH!!!
James Peters: Both Elitists quickly pop up to their feet with the help of the momentum from their landing on the slingblade! Yhwach continues running towards the far ropes, as Ayu slowly regains her balance on her feet!! Yhwach rebounds back..
Rich Russillo: RUNNING PUSH KICK TO THE CHEST BY YHWACH!!!
James Peters: NO!!! AYU MEGUMI DUCKED UNDERNEATH THE LEG AND MANAGED TO GET FROM BEHIND YHWACH!!!
Rich Russillo: He regains his balance after his missed kick, then turns around…
Persephone: BUT IT’S AYU MEGUMI WITH A BASEMENT DROPKICK TO THE KNEE THAT DROPS YHWACH DOWN ONTO HIS HANDS AND KNEES ON THE CANVAS OF THE RING.
Rich Russillo: Ayu Megumi begins clubbing her fists down onto the back of Yhwach!! Over and over she continues hammer fisting and pelting Yhwach with these strikes to his back!
James Peters: Yhwach slowly works his way up to a knee though! He rises up to his feet, and battles through these hammer punches!! And.. HE JUST SHOVED AYU MEGUMI BACK!!!
Rich Russillo: Ayu Megumi falls back against the side ropes, then rebounds back towards Yhwach..
Persephone: SUPERMAN PUNCH!!!!
James Peters: IT CONNECTS!!! AYU MEGUMI JUST BLASTED YHWACH IN THE FACE WITH THAT SUPERMAN PUNCH, AND NOW HE’S STUMBLING BACK TOWARDS THE SIDE ROPES!!!
Rich Russillo: Yhwach hits the ropes, then rebounds back.. INTO A DOUBLE KNEE FACEBREAKER!! WOW WHAT A COMBINATION OF MOVES BY AYU MEGUMI!!!
James Peters: There is no doubt in my mind that Yhwach is stunned right now! He literally just walked into that one and didn’t see it coming!
Rich Russillo: And you know what we said earlier about Ayu Megumi needing to gain some form of momentum? Well she’s definitely found that momentum, and is now in control of this match!
James Peters: Yeah it seems like early on, the events between Team Eden and Usagi were really affecting Ayu Megumi, and that put her in a horrible disadvantage against Yhwach who wouldn’t even hesitate for a second to use that to benefit his own game. But now, she’s found her rhythm and understands that she can’t have her mind wrapped around Usagi when she has someone as vicious as Yhwach as her opponent!
Persephone: Yeah, Ayu Megumi is definitely sitting in a good position right now. She has Yhwach down on the mat, and it looks like she plans on taking it to the top rope.
Rich Russillo: Indeed it does! Ayu Megumi begins to make her way over to the corner, and starts climbing up the turnbuckles until she gets herself up onto the top rope. She turns her back towards the center of the ring!!!
James Peters: LEAP!!! AYU MEGUMI WITH THE DIVING MOONSAULT!!!!
Rich Russillo: BUT NO!!! YHWACH ROLLS OUT OF THE WAY AND TOWARDS THE CORNER, AS AYU MEGUMI MANAGES TO LAND ON HER FEET JUST PAST HIM!!!
James Peters: Wow! Way to adjust and avoid a crash landing! But it looks like the missed diving moonsault is going to cost her, because Yhwach has just made his way back up to his feet! He turns towards Ay-
James Peters: OH WOW!!! AYU MEGUMI REALLY JUST BLASTED YHWACH IN THE HEAD WITH THE RUNNING BICYCLE KNEE STRIKE!!! HE LOOKS ABSOLUTELY OUT OF IT!!! AYU MEGUMI PUT EVERYTHING INTO THAT KNEE STRIKE, AND NOW YHWACH IS DOWN ON THE CANVAS OF THE RING!! AYU MEGUMI COVERS HIM FOR THE PIN!!!!
Rich Russillo: NO!! THERE’S THE KICKOUT BY YHWACH O’HARA!!!
James Peters: Ayu Megumi has really turned this into quite the match. She nearly put this one away, but O’Hara wasn’t allowing it. There’s still much more fight left in him!
Persephone: But Ayu isn’t letting him use any of that fight though! She’s not letting him have it. She rises up to her feet, and grabs O’Hara along the way. She gets Yhwach to his feet, then kicks him hard across the side of his leg!!
Rich Russillo: And now she kicks the other leg with her other foot!!! O’Hara can’t help but clutch at the sides of his legs in pain..
James Peters: ROUNDHOUSE KICK BY AYU MEGUMI!!!
Rich Russillo: NO!! YHWACH DUCKS UNDER THE LEG, AS AYU SPINS ALL THE WAY AROUND UNTIL HER BACK IS FACING O’HARA!!!!
James Peters: FOREARM TO THE BACK OF THE HEAD BY O’HARA!!!!
Persephone: It connects and forces Ayu Megumi to stumble forward!! Yhwach begins to step towards Ayu now..
Rich Russillo: BUT HE STEPS RIGHT INTO A HANDSPRING PELE KICK FROM AYU MEGUMI!!! SHE JUST CAUGHT HIM RIGHT ACROSS THE FACE, AND NOW HE’S DOWN ON HIS KNEE!!
James Peters: Ayu Megumi sees this and runs to the ropes behind Yhwach! She hits the ropes and rebounds back! RUNNING DROPKICK BY MEGUMI, AS SHE SENDS O’HARA FLYING INTO THE SIDE ROPES!!! HIS HEAD AND ARMS HANG OVER THE MIDDLE ROPES!
Rich Russillo: Oh you know what’s coming!!! It’s Ayu Megumi!! She rushes her way over towards O’Hara’s direction, and.. TIGER FEINT KICK!!!!!!!
Persephone: NO!!! O’HARA DUCKED HIS HEAD, AS AYU MEGUMI SWINGS RIGHT OVER HIM!!!
James Peters: She lands on her feet inside of the ring!!! O’Hara quickly turns around and wraps around her body!! He lifts her up!!! INTO THE DREAMSCAPE!!!
Rich Russillo: THE BELLY TO BACK SUPLEX INTO A PILEDRIVER CONNECTS AS O’HARA SNAPS AYU’S HEAD RIGHT UP AGAINST THE CANVAS OF THE RING!!!!
James Peters Wow!! What a crazy move by Yhwach! It almost didn’t even look real!
Rich Russillo: Ayu Megumi is down, and O’Hara rises up to his feet with the help of the side ropes. He looks down at Ayu who is favoring the back of her head. Yhwach reaches down and grabs Ayu.
Persephone: And now he deadlifts her up off of the ground..
James Peters: DEADLIFT HIGH ANGLE GERMAN SUPLEX BY YHWACH!!! WOW!!! HE TAKES AYU MEGUMI HIGH IN THE AIR, AND SLAMS HER DOWN TO THE CANVAS OF THE RING WITH AUTHORITY!!!
Rich Russillo: Ayu Megumi really hit the mat hard just now, and I believe Yhwach is getting ready to put this one away!!!
Persephone Ayu Megumi is slowly working her way up onto her hands and knees right now, and all Yhwach is doing is waiting. He’s pacing back and forth right and now and waiting for the golden opportunity to finish this!
Rich Russillo: You can feel energy radiating from Yhwach right now! He stares down at Ayu like a hawk, as she gets up to one leg.
James Peters: She finally rises up to her feet, and..
Rich Russillo: IN EXCELSIS!!!!!! THE RUNNING BICYCLE KNEE STRIKE BY YHWACH!!!!
James Peters: MISSES!!!! AYU MEGUMI GETS OUT OF THE WAY AT THE LAST POSSIBLE MOMENT, AS YHWACH CONTINUES RUNNING TOWARDS THE ROPES!! He then rebounds back..
Persephone: RUNNING BIG BOOT BY AYU MEGUMI!!!!! SHE JUST HIT YHWACH HARD WITH THAT ONE!!!!
Rich Russillo: Yhwach was tagged hard by that boot, and he’s struggling a bit, as he stumbles until he falls down to the ring mat!
James Peters: Yhwach slowly crawls over to the side ropes, then uses them to help himself up to his feet. He finally stands and turns around…
Rich Russillo: ETHEREAL BLADE!!! CLAYMORE KICK BY AY-
James Peters: YHWACH JUST BLOCKED AND CAUGHT THE LEG! I can not believe what we just witnessed! How in the world did he manage to do that!! He has a tight grip on Ayu’s leg, as Ayu hops on the other! I think we’re going to see another leg Whip to ground from Yhwach!
Rich Russillo: Think again, because Ayu Megumi just leaped up with the leg she was hopping on and kicked Yhwach in the hea-
Persephone: NO O’HARA DUCKED THE LEG, AS AYU SWINGS HERSELF OVER AND LANDS WITH HER BACK TURNED TOWARDS YHWACH!! He releases her leg, as she turns around.. AND BOOM! HE BLASTS HER IN THE STOMACH WITH A KNEE STRIKE!!!
Rich Russillo: And from there, Yhwach grabs Ayu by the wrist, and.. HATHAWAY’S DREAMS!!! THE KAMIGOYE CONNECTS, AND AYU MEGUMI INSTANTLY DROPS DOWN TO THE CANVAS OF THE RING!!!
James Peters: I believe that is all that she wrote here tonight folks. Yhwach may have just broken Ayu’s face with Hathaway’s Dreams, and she’s completely out of it. She’s down on the canvas, and hasn’t moved. Yhwach drops down on top of her, and I believe the damage is done!
(DING! DING! DING!)
(“SUN//EATER” by Lorna Shore hits, as the crowd gives off a loud reaction. Yhwach O’Hara rises up to his feet, as the referee raises his hand in the air.)
Bella Braxton: Here is your winner!!! OMNIPOTENT!!! YHWACH O’HARA!!!!
Rich Russillo: What a great match by these two Elitists. Obviously it was clear to us all that Ayu Megumi was affected by the actions from Team Eden towards Usagi Senshi earlier tonight, but eventually she put that all aside to give us a competitive match against O’Hara.
James Peters: Competitive for sure! O’Hara came out with the win, but together these two put on a great performance. This only makes me more excited for Road to Redemption-
(Suddenly, the crowd explodes with cheers.)
Rich Russillo: WOAH!! MYLES JUST CAME FROM
THE CROWD AND ATTACKED YHWACH!!! MYLES JUST SLID INTO THE RING AND DROPPED O’HARA WITH A DOUBLE LEG TAKEDOWN, NOW PUNCHING AWAY AT THE MAN THAT LAID HIM OUT LAST WEEK!!! YHWACH O’HARA LAID MYLES OUT LAST WEEK AND WOULD’VE DONE EVEN WORSE IF SECURITY HADN’T GOTTEN INVOLVED!
James Peters: YHWACH PUSHES MYLES OFF OF HIM AND NOW BOTH ELITISTS GET BACK TO THEIR FEET!!! YHWACH RUNS AT MYLES AND ATTEMPTS TO SEND HIM OUT OF THE RING- BUT MYLES TURNS AND SENDS YHWACH THROUGH THE ROPES INSTEAD!!! MYLES QUICKLY RUNS THE ROPES AS YHWACH GETS BACK TO HIS FEET, AND THERE’S A SUICIDE DIVE, SENDING O’HARA BACK FIRST INTO THE BARRICADE!!!!
Rich Russillo: Myles now walking away from him.. Uh oh, he just walked past our table and towards the Spanish team, AND NOW HE’S CLEARING OFF THEIR TABLE!!! Yhwach has spent the time crawling over here though, AND NOW HE HITS MYLES WITH A FOREARM SHOT TO THE JAW!! NOW ANOTHER ONE, AND THERE’S AN ELBOW!!! O’HARA NOW SWINGING ONCE MORE AT MYLES-
James Peters: BUT MYLES DUCKS UNDER THE STRIKE!!! MYLES AVOIDS THE ATTACK AND NOW HE LANDS A KNEE TO THE MIDSECTION, BEFORE SHOVING YHWACH ONTO THE SPANISH COMMENTARY TABLE!!! Let’s not forget that Yhwach has already been through a match, there’s no way he was going to be able to fight back! Myles now punching O’Hara in the face, trying to prevent Yhwach from rolling off of the table or avoiding whatever it is Myles has to offer!
Rich Russillo: Myles climbs up onto the table with Yhwach, BUT YHWACH IS ABLE TO PUNCH MYLES IN THE STOMACH!!! O’HARA NOW WITH AN UPPERCUT AS HE SLOWLY GETS BACK UP, IS YHWACH ABOUT TO GET THE UPPER HAND HERE???
James Peters: NO!! MYLES LANDS A HEADBUTT BEFORE KICKING HIM IN THE MIDSECTION, AND NOW MYLES SETS HIM UP BEFORE LIFTING YHWACH UP OVER HIM!! DE FACTO THROUGH THE TABLE!!!!!! MYLES JUST PUT YHWACH O’HARA THROUGH THE SPANISH COMMENTARY TABLE!!!!
(The crowd explodes as Myles gets back to his feet, standing over the destroyed commentary table as well as Yhwach O’Hara.)
Rich Russillo: That’s all Myles needs to do in order to win at Road to Redemption! If he can put O’Hara through two tables just like that, he’ll somehow put Yhwach away!
James Peters: Myles finally got payback after weeks, but will this be the result we see at Road to Redemption!?
(As Myles stands tall, he has a look of rage on his face thanks to everything that’s happened in the past few weeks. It’s clear that he is ready for Road to Redemption, and as he stands over Yhwach O’Hara, Enemy Strike’ by Yuki Hayashi is heard playing. This is the final image shown as Voltage fades from ringside.)
(Promotional ad for Road to Redemption, where the EAW World Championship will be defended in the Elimination Chamber.)
(Voltage returns to ringside for the final time tonight, and ‘Blood, Milk & Sky’ by White Zombie hits, causing the crowd to explode with cheers as the camera fades to the stage. Before long, the EAW World Champion Minerva begins to make her entrance, walking out to the stage with her Championship on her shoulder and a microphone in her hand. As Minerva stands on the stage, she raises up her EAW Championship without saying a word, drawing an even louder reaction from the crowd as she begins to make her way down the ramp and towards the ring.)
James Peters: Minerva doesn’t look too happy tonight, but that’s not exactly surprising after the night she had last week. I think we all remember the rampage Samael went on, but on top of that Drake King took her by surprise after picking up a victory over Charlie Marr and Theron Nikolas!
Rich Russillo: It looks like Minerva’s got something to say just one week before Road to Redemption, and while I think we all have a good idea of what she plans to talk about, I’m looking forward to seeing this.
Persephone: Yeah, it should definitely be very entertaining and not a complete waste of our time. 👍
(Minerva finally walks up the steel steps, entering the ring as the crowd begins to quiet down. Minerva doesn’t waste any time once she enters the ring, immediately beginning to speak.)
Minerva: As frustrating as last week’s events were, this isn’t the first time I’ve had enemies try to make a statement at my expense. Not even the first time in this Championship reign. Honestly, while I may not have expected Samael’s actions at the start of the night, I did spend the entirety of the tag team match knowing that Drake King couldn’t be trusted, and that sooner or later he’d find a way to remind everyone of how horrible he is. The only question was when he’d show his true colors and try to screw me over, and of course his decision was to lay me out right after the match. This isn’t anything new. Elitists will always do whatever they can to prove that they’re good enough to steal someone’s spot at the top. They’ll always make an attempt to put themselves out there and tell the world that they’re the biggest threat around here. In any of the other Elimination Chambers, this approach may have worked. It may have even paid off with a Specialists or World Championship victory to end the year. Unfortunately for Samael, Drake King and whoever else thinks taking a shot at me right before Road to Redemption may be a good idea, I’m not Serenity Valdez, Andre Walker or Impact. I’m the last Champion you want to play that game with.
(The crowd cheers as Minerva continues.)
Minerva: I don’t believe I have anything left to prove at this stage in my career. Even before this title reign I had accomplished a lot, from the Universal Women’s Championship, to the National Elite Championship, to a Tag Title reign that has yet to be matched, but I’ve reached a stage in my career that I’ve never been at before. Charlie Marr, TLA, Theron Nikolas, Samael, and Drake King all know this. Every single one of them is aware of what I’m willing to do just to pick up a victory, and the match we’re about to enter next week is far bigger than that. I’ve been undefeated this entire season. No matter how hard anybody, including my opponents next week have tried, there’s not a single Elitist that can say they’ve been able to defeat me throughout this Championship reign. I’ve been able to overcome every single opponent that’s been put in front of me, so heading into a match like this where year after year we see Championship reigns come to an end, I don’t just plan to retain my title. I plan to cement this EAW World Championship reign as one of the best of all time.
(There’s another huge reaction from the crowd, but Minerva looks just as focused on the upcoming Elimination Chamber as before. She goes to speak again, but doesn’t get the chance to say much this time around.)
Minerva: I’m aware of the competition that’ll be in front of me, but-
(Before Minerva could finish her sentence, laughter is heard. Immediately after hearing this all of the fans in the arena begin to boo, as they can tell exactly who is responsible for the laughter. Minerva is staring directly at the stage, watching as the man responsible for the laughter walks out, holding a microphone in his hand.)
Charlie Marr: What happened, Minerva? Were you dropped on your head a little too hard? I knew you were stupid when you thought you could keep me out the title picture and stop me from taking back what’s mine, but the best EAW Championship reign of all time? This isn’t even the best reign that title had in the last five years. I get that with the run I’m currently on people are quick to think about my incredible Hardcore Championship reign, especially since it’s the title reign between the two of us that won’t actually be ending this year and all that, but there’s nobody more fitting to hold that EAW Championship and that’s not something I need to prove, because I already did back in 2019 when I was only a fraction of the competitor that I am today. How long do you plan to keep lying to yourself and pretending you’re the most dangerous Elitist this company has, huh? How long do you plan to keep telling yourself that there’s no bigger threat around here than you even though you’re not even the biggest threat in this match?
Minerva: I have a better question, Charlie. How many times do we have to go over this before you realize you’re never going to defeat me? Believe me Charlie, I don’t care whether or not you’re in the Championship picture. I’d rather get the opportunity to face different opponents than make the exact same statement every time I defend this title, but I have not denied a single challenge since winning this title. From Ronan Malosi to yourself, I put this title on the line against whoever stepped up and I’ll gladly do it as many times as needed until you either finally accept that you can’t take this Championship from me, or you’re not in any condition to challenge me again.
(Charlie doesn’t look impressed at all as he finally climbs up the apron and enters the ring. Instead, he just walks up to Minerva before continuing to speak.)
Charlie Marr: You can keep trying to hold what happened back at Wicked Games over my head, but it’s not gonna work. You obviously got lucky that night and last week clearly wasn’t some indicator of talent, so running around week after week as if you’ve got this match in the bag is the dumbest thing you could be doing right now. You know what kind of Elitist I am, and you know that I’m capable of accomplishing whatever the hell I want. Writing me off as if I’m not the most dangerous this brand has to offer is a mistake, because even calling myself dangerous is just scratching the surface of what I really have to offer. There’s nobody on this brand as ruthless as me. There’s nobody on this brand as talented as me. There’ll NEVER be a bigger star on the Voltage roster than Charlie Marr and no matter how long you hold that title you’ll never even be the best Champion on this brand, because I’m still here. Hell while we’re at it there’s not even anybody on this brand as smart as me, because for some reason..
(Charlie turns to the stage.)
Charlie Marr: Theron Nikolas just doesn’t know when to quit, and he actually thinks putting himself in an Elimination Chamber with me was a good decision.
(Charlie stared directly at the stage as he said those words, and it doesn’t take very long for ‘Pass the Nirvana’ by PTV to hit. Charlie Marr doesn’t move, as if he was waiting for Theron Nikolas to walk out, meanwhile Minerva just watches on as the two bitter enemies stare directly at one another. Theron is holding a microphone in his hand, walking down the ramp as he continues to look at Charlie Marr. Theron clearly isn’t happy, which isn’t a surprise after what happened last week in the tag team match where he had to work with Charlie.)
James Peters: Theron Nikolas also had a rough night last week, and ironically enough you can thank the two inside of the ring for that, especially Charlie Marr.
Rich Russillo: Those two hate each other, and I honestly have to agree with Charlie to an extent about those two being in a Chamber together and how bad of an idea it is. I’m not so sure either man will walk out of it in one piece at this point.
(Theron enters the ring, staring at two of the Elitists he’ll be facing next week.)
Charlie Marr: Well? Unless you’re here to admit you’re completely out of place in this match, you should get out of the ring right now and just head right back up the ramp.
(Theron looks at Charlie, and finally he begins to speak.)
Theron Nikolas: Charlie, it’s honestly taking a lot of self control for me not to lay you out the exact same way you did to me last week. I tried to work with you, even after I made it clear it wasn’t going to happen, because after what happened at the start of the night the last thing anyone needed was for things to blow up and get even worse only weeks before Road to Redemption. I didn’t make a mistake, Charlie. I want to enter the Elimination Chamber, and the only reason you’re not on the ground right now is because I’m not going to get a better opportunity to ruin you than what the next two weeks has to offer. Killing your dreams of becoming World Champion then finally shutting you up for good by ending that worthless Hardcore Championship reign all before the year ends, these are the kind of opportunities I can’t pass up because I wanted to injure you and run the risk of you having to be pulled out of these matches. Trust me Charlie, after these next few weeks there won’t be any excuses for why you failed to put me down. Instead, you’ll have to hear the exact same answer you heard before when you’re questioning your inability. You’ll have to live with the fact that you’re suffering from weaknesses I’ve overcome a long time ago. I am better than you.
(There’s a staredown between Theron and Charlie, which Charlie eventually interrupts as he once again just starts to laugh.)
Charlie Marr: :mjlol: Really? You really think you’re better than me? I don’t even think Minerva over there believes that and she’s not much smarter than you. It’s been years since anybody’s taken you seriously and the only thing that’s gonna change in the next few weeks is that they’re gonna realize you’re an even bigger joke than they thought.
Theron Nikolas: You still believe that?
Charlie Marr: Well last week sure didn’t prove me wrong.
Theron Nikolas: You-
Minerva: You two do understand you won’t be the only two in the Elimination Chamber, right? There’ll be four other Elitists, including a woman both of you have history with. History that favors neither of you. I know Charlie’s already written the Elimination Chamber off as a victory for him and that’s going to be his undoing, but as for you..
(Minerva walks up to Theron.)
Minerva: If you plan to spend the next week setting your sights on only one of your five opponents, don’t be surprised if neither of you get what you want, and instead both of you end your night in humiliation.
Theron Nikolas: You must not think very highly of me if you actually believe I’d enter a match like this, a match I’ve already competed in before, and be unaware of my surroundings. I may have entered this match because of Charlie Marr, but don’t think I’ve forgotten what’s to come once he’s out of the picture. If I’m the last one standing, I become the new EAW World Champion. I still strive to better myself, Minerva. I still make the effort to enter each match a better competitor than I was before, even if the time between our last singles match and this Elimination Chamber really won’t be that long. Nonetheless, I plan to show you just how much can change even in a short amount of time, by defeating you and reaching new heights at the expense of your dream.
Minerva: So when we enter the Elimination Chamber, will you be fighting to win, or will you just be fighting to eliminate Charlie?
(Theron goes to respond, but before he even gets the chance to speak, ‘Ambitionz az a Ridah’ by Tupac hits. This causes an explosion of cheers from the crowd as TLA begins to walk out with a microphone in his hand. Unlike the last participant to walk out, TLA has more of the usual confident smirk on his face, likely having to do with him managing to pick up a victory last week. The other three competitors watch on as TLA makes his way to the ring.)
James Peters: Here comes TLA, and already we have four of the six competitors in the Elimination Chamber out here!
Rich Russillo: TLA was one of the people to suffer through that crazy rampage from Samael, but I think it’s fair to say he’s made up for that after defeating him in that tag team match!
James Peters: I agree, but I-
Charlie Marr: You can go home, TLA. We don’t need you here.
(The fans immediately begin booing for Charlie, and TLA responds on his way down the ramp.)
TLA: Orale Bangkok creo que Charlie podría ser sordo. Cuz if the baldest homie out thinks that TLA ain’t up in the casa right now as we speak. He clearly ain’t been listening too well! I be seeing all y’all out here in this ring and you know that I ain’t just going to stay backstage and not join the party. Nah there be a fiesta to be had you know that La Pantera Sexual finna be right up in it. You all be coming out here and you saying all that you gots to say. Talking about that Extreme Elimination Chamber and you all best recognize that this is a match I have won before. Not only that but I defeated Drake King and The Visual Prophet on the same night at the same time to do it. Y’all best not count me out cuz I will slide up in that ring up in that Chamber and do it all over again. Una vez mas. You know how the real ones roll. I ain’t do nothing that y’all ain’t expect. You best be expecting imma style on all y’all. If Charlie and Theron ain’t down for that then they going to get all the manos.
(TLA enters the ring, walking right past Charlie Marr and up to Minerva as he continues.)
TLA: We gots that history. You done took a championship from me at Pain for Pride. Now I be looking at you and I see you gots a different championship. But it be all the same to me. Imma snatch that from you and get that venganza in. You been a fine ass champion chica. Y’all crushed all the competition on Voltage this year. You even went through me to start the whole season and establish what you was all about. But errybody know that a vato ain’t about holding an L any longer than he has to. We going to be coming and exchanging that out with the quickness get that W in.
Minerva: We’ll just have to see about that, won’t we? You were the first to be announced for this match, and my thoughts on your spot here are no different than they were when you first walked out. You’re going to fail, just like all of our other opponents will. You’re no different to Theron or Charlie. I’ve faced you before, and there’s nothing you could’ve done between the start of this season and now that’d bring you any closer to the EAW World Championship.
TLA: El primero en entrar. El último en salir. Nah I wouldn’t be too sure of that. The struggles that I been through this season only made me go harder than ever before. You been living that fine life as the champion. You been dominating but it is only a matter of time before someone steps to you with the hustle and reveals just how complacent you done gotten. Even if you ain’t known it yet. Ese día, ganaré. Y’all know I be sliding in as the challenger… but when all is said and done for that third time it going to be El Campeón who walks on out!
Theron Nikolas: None of that is going to happen.
Charlie Marr: It’s disgusting that I even have to agree with Theron, but it’s true. Your World Champion days are over TLA. If you want a title go find a partner and challenge the Prescription, because the EAW Championship is mine.
Theron Nikolas: You’re just as misunderstood as TLA. When the EAW Championship changes hands it’s not going to be because of either of you.
TLA: Dayum you know the haters coming out from all sides and they hating fiercely. We causing some real desmadre out here. These gringos ain’t even know what they say. Callate cabrones you come at me you gots no choice but to get that culo whipped go get that madre we finna ching-
Minerva: The EAW Championship isn’t changing hands.
(The crowd starts to cheer, but this is quickly cut short once ‘Cold War’ by Hans Zimmer hits. The four Elitists in the ring turn to the stage, and Minerva especially isn’t too happy after what happened last week. Drake King eventually walks out, but while he’s holding a microphone, he chooses not too walk down the ramp. Instead, he remains on the stage.)
James Peters: It was only a matter of time until he showed up, but weirdly enough.. He’s not coming down the ramp. He’s still on the stage.
Rich Russillo: Looks like even he knows just how much Minerva would love to hurt him after what happened last week.
(Minerva stares directly at Drake, who isn’t moving from the stage at all, instead starting to speak as the crowd boos.)
Drake King: No Minerva, that title *is* going to change hands. It’s just not going to be one by any of the parasites in the ring with you or with that psychopath that has yet to join us. The person who’ll win the Elimination Chamber this year is the one who won it last year, only this time I don’t expect Myles to run down the ramp to try and save the day once I take that EAW Championship from you.
Minerva: Okay, why don’t you get in the ring?
Drake King: I’d rather not. Road to Redemption is next week, and I don’t trust you. You did say you’d do anything to keep your title, I’m sure that includes stopping me from entering the Chamber.
(Minerva just shakes her head in annoyance as Drake continues to speak.)
Drake King: As I was saying though, this match is filled with a bunch of people who are desperately trying to find their way back to World Championship gold after either months or years away from the title picture, and I was never going to sit around and watch everyone make fools of themselves all for a title as worthless as that. Everything about Road to Redemption is horrible. The Elimination Chamber, the EAW World Championship being defended, the fact that the likes of TLA, Minerva and Samael are getting spotlights put on them at one of the biggest events of the entire year. I may not be able to change things like I wanted to, but that’s perfectly fine with me. I’m going to end that title reign and shut down this idea that something like that deserves to go down in history, and for the rest of the time you have left on Voltage… You guys can just follow in Theron and Charlie’s footsteps and continue fighting over absolutely nothing. Or you can just make things easier for me and leave the company, either one works as long as you realize Voltage isn’t getting that title back.
(The crowd boos extremely loudly.)
TLA: Damn is that Drake? I can barely even see the homie all the way up there while we all the way over here. Don’t be scurred Drake. This is a wrestling ring. You know the place you work in? It’s all good homie come on down here this ain’t no Disney Fun House or nothing like that.
Theron Nikolas: I’m not sure how many times you plan to chase after a goal that revolves around the removal of Voltage’s World Championship picture, but surely you have to understand just how pointless this all is by now, right?
Drake King: If you wanted to address my former goal to change this place for the better then sure, we’d be on the same page, but I don’t want that title for the sake of creating a better EAW anymore. I genuinely just don’t believe any of you deserve it, and getting rid of the EAW Championship will bring me one step closer to ruining this place.
(The boos continue, but they quickly stop as Minerva speaks up.)
Minerva: You of all people would know by now that my main priority is my own success as the EAW World Champion, but I’m not going to allow everything I’ve done in the past year to go to waste because you made the mistake of getting yourself into a fight you couldn’t win. Whether you’re trying to “save” EAW or destroy it couldn’t matter any less to me anymore, because it’s very clear that you’ll always be the same Drake King you’ve always been. The coward that turned his back on me out of fear of what I’m capable of. Fear that I’d take his spot and end his reign as World Champion. You hurt your own career and you’ve been making things worse for yourself ever since Road to Redemption one year ago. If you insist on entering that Elimination Chamber then I’m going to make sure that this is the final nail in the coffin for you, because I’m going to do exactly what I should’ve months ago and be the reason you’re nowhere near this title.
(There’s a short staredown between the two, but Charlie Marr quickly interrupts it.)
Charlie Marr: You two really couldn’t get any more boring if you tried. I don’t care what you two do to each other in the Chamber, but Minerva, the EAW Championship is coming with me. I don’t care about your goal to have the best title reign ever, I don’t care if you feel invincible, you’re in a match against me and this time around I won’t be making the mistakes I did at Wicked Games. I was taken by surprise once and it won’t happen again, so you can go ahead and kiss that title reign goodbye, because it’s over.
TLA: Over for her maybe but for yo boi it be only just beginning! I ain’t care how good the champion is when TLA roll thru I finna be spoiling things for anyone. I don’t care if you having a neverending Kassidy Heart tier reign of terror or if you had the championship five thousand times like Impact. When TLA come out that championship ain’t safe and when we hop all up in that chamber all yo necks ain’t safe either.
Charlie Marr: You should be more concerned with Samael than the EAW Championship right now. We all saw what happened last week.
(The five Elitists all start speaking, about to get into an argument before the titantron suddenly turns on. This is what catches everyone by surprise, including the fans in the crowd as Dr. Doyle is seen on the screen. He’s in an undisclosed area, and before long he begins to speak.)
Dr. Doyle: Sorry if I interrupted you all, but with everything that happened last week I felt the need to offer an apology, as well as clear something up. While I can see that all of you Elimination Chamber participants are busy tonight, I have to say that Samael won’t be able to join you after what he did last week. It was unexpected and it was uncalled for, so while you’ll all see him in the Elimination Chamber, you won’t be getting any words for him toni-
(Suddenly, an arm appears in the cameras view and grabs Dr. Doyle by the throat. This causes a loud negative reaction from the crowd as the mystery person throws Dr. Doyle out of the screen. It takes a few seconds, but the camera slowly pans to the side to reveal the identity of the attacker, before finally showing their face.)
James Peters: WHAT THE HELL??? SAMAEL JUST ATTACKED DR. DOYLE!!!
Rich Russillo: I hope he’s okay! Luckily all Samael did was throw him out of the way!
(Samael stares at the screen for a few seconds, before finally the screen starts to glitch. When it goes back to normal Samael looks slightly different, and before long he starts to speak, revealing the cause for it.)
Caine: :mjlol2: Trust me, now’s not the time for any of you to listen to him. He has no idea what he’s talking about, really. Did you hear him? Unexpected? Uncalled for? Let’s be serious here, what happened last week was just a small taste of what’s to come. You were all warned. You’ve all had your chances to enter the ring with Him. You all know what He can do, but He’s getting stronger each and every day and in a match like the Elimination Chamber, last week’s little attack will look like child’s play. Theron, Drake, Charlie, I remember all three of you, and He really didn’t seem to like any of you very much. TLA, He hasn’t forgotten about last week either, and I can promise that you won’t be as lucky next week as you were last week. Not when you have nowhere to run or hide, and no tag team partners to rely on. As for you Minerva..
(The grin that was on Caine’s face begins to disappear as Minerva stares directly at the screen.)
Caine: Right now, your dreams are in more danger than ever. We remember you too, and we don’t care about your EAW Championship or about your legacy. All He cares about is destroying everything that’s in his path, and right now that’s you. Thanks to our good friend Captain Charisma, all five of you are going to be trapped in an Elimination Chamber with an unkillable, unstoppable monster. While you’re all busy saying that you’d do whatever it takes to succeed, or whatever it takes to hold the EAW World Championship, you should REALLY be doing whatever it takes to survive because if there’s anything I can promise it’s that Samael doesn’t plan to show you any mercy. You all will go only as far as needed in order to pick up a victory, but Him? He loves this. The pain, the suffering, the torture that comes with a match like this. It’s all just going to be a nice little game, and if the five of you aren’t careful, you might not just lose your EAW Championship match. You might lose your ability to wrestle, for good.
(There’s a wave of silence from the five Elitists in the arena after hearing this, but this is eventually broken by Minerva, who begins to speak directly to Caine.)
Minerva: If this is your idea of a threat then you’ll have to do better. I remember what happened last week and if you want to call it a taste that’s fine, but I haven’t even gotten started yet.
(The grin on Caine’s face begins to reappear.)
Caine: Then I sure hope you don’t disappoint next week, and that goes for all of you. Bring your best. Do whatever you need to do. In the end it’ll be futile, but if Samael’s going to tear five people apart and turn the Elimination Chamber into a bloodbath, I at least want it to be entertaining. We may not be in the arena tonight to give you a harsh reminder, but I hope every single one of you thinks about what happened last week each and every day until Road to Redemption, and I hope you all remember that if you even want to put a dent in Samael, it’ll take so much more than that.
(The titantron turns off, leaving the five competitors with that. This time, it’s Charlie Marr that begins to speak up.)
Charlie Marr: Whatever. I’m not afraid of him. At least I’ll have the opportunity to get some payback next week.
Theron Nikolas: You’re as delusional as he is.
Charlie Marr: You’re not funny, you can stop making jokes.
Theron Nikolas: I’m not making any. You’ve even made the same mistake he did, picking a fight under the assumption that I wouldn’t be able to fight back.
TLA: The Extreme Elimination Chamber is only supposed to have six beastin’ homies all up inside of it. But it is clear that with Samael involved we got much more homies than that. Samael can bring them all in and I will whip all of them too cuz we might as well empty out the whole roster put them all in the ring and get to scrappin’.
Drake King: It honestly wouldn’t surprise me if the five of you just took each other out and ruined things for yourselves since the only things any of you care about are revenge or becoming World Champion.
TLA: That’s fine with me. Let the real ones tussle. If you don’t want to participate in the match you can go sit in catering all night feast on some of that finest Taco Bell. That’s prolly about as much as you deserve anyway.
Drake King: You-
Minerva: If you all plan to keep making the exact same promise you already have, I believe it’s time for you to stop wasting everyone’s time and leave.
(Everyone looks towards Minerva as the crowd cheers loudly, and the EAW World Champion continues.)
Minerva: It’s been a year since I ended an Extreme Elimination Chamber laid out on the mat all because I was stupid enough to give up on my own personal desires for the sake of a goal even the man that betrayed me now admits was never going to be reached. I don’t care how much you all believe you’ve grown in that year. Some of you managed to become Champion. Some of you just debuted in the company and still won major matches at Pain for Pride. Some of you already had years worth of success. Whatever the case may be, whatever level of competition I’m about to be surrounded with inside of the Elimination Chamber, none of it will be enough to stop this title reign from going down as one of the best EAW’s ever had. If you want to keep telling yourselves that this is your time to finally shut me up and take me out of the title picture then go ahead and waste your breath, but I’m warning you now that it’s meaningless, just like Samael’s little threat just now was meaningless.
(Minerva has a very focused look on her face as she looks at her opponents at Road to Redemption.)
Minerva: This Championship reign is not ending here. I’m ready for that Elimination Chamber and if I was the rest of you I’d start making sure I’m ready to, because this will be the toughest fight of your lives.
(There’s extremely loud cheers, which grow even louder as Minerva drops her microphone and raises the EAW World Championship right in front of her Road to Redemption opponents. All five of the Elitists in the arena stare at each other, knowing that a fight could break out at any second, and eventually ‘Blood, Milk & Sky’ begins to play once again. The music continues to play as the staredown between Elimination Chamber competitors continues, and this is the final image shown as the show fades out for a final time.)
(EAW logo buzzes.)
