(EAW intro plays.)
(The camera opens up and as usual a recap of last week’s Voltage begins to play. It starts off with Myles going out to the ring with a lot of questions on his mind, wondering why at Wicked Games he was attacked by Yhwach O’Hara. He dares him to come out, but a video on the titantron is played of New Eden injuring Jamie, and just with that Myles gets his answers, leaving the ring with the confirmation that Yhwach will speak the following week. Halsey Neel defeats Sorn and after the match she announces she is entering the Extreme Enigma Memorial Match. It cuts to Drake at his house as he reflects on his loss against TLA. He felt like he had fought for a lost cause, he felt betrayed by Disney and he didn’t know what else to do. EAW is hopeless, so all that is left… is to destroy it; and with those mysterious words, the titantron fades to black. The Ice Aces are interviewed by Sofia Clarke, they talk about making their appearance at Dynasty and interfering in the Queen Bees’ match and they talk about their respective matches later in the night. Samael is able to capture a victory against Daryl Kinkade. Haruka Kashimashi is interviewed by Sofia as well, as she looks forward to bouncing back from her loss at Wicked Games by inserting herself into the Extreme Enigma Memorial Match. Eden Sinclair, Candice Blair, and Ronan Malosi are discussing plans between themselves before Sierra Everett makes her presence known, complaining about what happened with Hikari in her match. Eden, deciding to listen to her, gives her an alternative and asks her if she would want to accept the chance to work with them, and of course, Sierra ends up accepting. Usagi Senshi defeats Haruka Kashimashi. Hikari comes out to the ring asking for Cameron as she wonders what her motives were for making an appearance after her match. Cameron comes out saying she is only looking out for competition, and there is nobody more fit than Hikari herself. Hikari understands now and Cameron gives her the chance to fight her at Road to Redemption, which Hikari obviously accepts. ARIA gets a win over Kylie Grace before the two competitors are attacked by The Queen Bees after their match, luckily Ayu Megumi and Usagi Senshi arrive for the save. Captain Charisma comes out to announce the first person to participate in the Voltage Elimination Chamber, and it is none other than TLA! TLA comes out as well, promising that this time, he will put his all into becoming World Champion once again. But he is interrupted by Minerva, who informs him that no matter how much he tries, he isn’t taking that title from her hands. The two go on a little back and forth before TLA says he knows what he is capable of and he will show that in the Chamber, while Minerva responds saying that she is ready for Road to Redemption. Due to Sierra Everett’s interference, Candice Blair defeats Ayu Megumi. The Prescription comes out informing everybody that they are tired of being taken advantage of, that they are willing to get their revenge but they will first defend their titles against Adam Lucas and Donovan Duke and at Road to Redemption. Finally, in the main event, Theron Nikolas faces off against TLA, but the bout ends in a no contest as Charlie Marr interferes and lays the two men out. He brawls with TLA before Theron ends up getting involved himself as well, chaos breaks out between everyone and security is rushed out to split people up as the recap ends there.)
(Sunday Night Voltage fades away to show a shot of the Philippine Sports Stadium in Bulacan, Philippines. An edited version of ‘33rd Blakk Glass’ by ZilaKami & SosMula is played through the speakers as spotlights are panning around and golden pyro is shooting out from the stage. The crowd cheers wildly while the camera then goes over to show the broadcasting team of Rich Russillo, James Peters, and Persephone.)
Rich Russillo: Ladies and gentlemen… WELCOME TO SUNDAY NIGHT VOLTAGE! As we get closer to Road to Redemption and the landscape continues to unfold, the marquee event LIVE from Beijing looks to be a stacked show. But we are presenting to you tonight a stacked Voltage show of our own!
James Peters: We have a lot of cross brand matches here, as we have Haruka Kashimashi going up against Abel Atami, along with Halsey Neel going up against Nick Hart, and obviously here, we are rooting for Voltage!
Persephone: WOOO! Go Voltage! 😁 We also have a Trios Warfare match with Candice Blair, Sierra Everett and Ronan Malosi going up against TLA and MarrKade, Hikari Kanno going up against Drake King, and in our main event, the Unified Tag Team Championships are on the line as The Prescription go up against Adam Lucas and Donovan Duke! What a fun show this will be! Let ‘s get to it!
(‘Cold War’ by Hans Zimmer plays as the crowd immediately boos hearing this song. They boo even louder as Drake King comes out wearing his ring attire and jacket. That same cold expression from last week is still on his face. He makes his way to the ring and demands a microphone as his theme slowly fades. He slowly looks around the arena with a cold look for several moments just listening to the negative reaction the crowd is giving him.)
Rich Russillo: He still doesn’t look all too happy. We all heard what said last week, the chilling words that he’s going to destroy EAW. What is this about? He has a match later on tonight.
Drake King: I tried to be patient. I tried to be patient for the greater good, to make sure this company was at its very best, and what did I get in return? People kept spitting in my face. First it was New Eden, and then it was Disney, and now I’m just DONE! If nobody else sees my vision, there’s no point anymore. This sport has been dying a slow death already, and I vow to quicken that process up. At Wicked Games, everything I worked so hard for the past two years just crumbled around me. I came to the realization that this place is absolutely hopeless and incapable of change, the changes that have been needed for quite a while, and that I have no choice but to abandon my mission to make this place better. It’s not something I want to do, but I am forced to because at the end of the day you can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make it drink. I’m tired of it, and I wasn’t kidding about what I said last week, and that is I’m going to destroy EAW. With abandoning my goal, it left me with no other option but to destroy this place,the absolute cancer that is professional wrestling.
(The crowd roars down boos on him.)
Drake King: Don’t boo me, boo yourselves and everybody in EAW who are scared of the tiniest bit of change in this sport. You think I want to do this? It’s not something I wanna do, but more of something that needs to be done because this place is a cancer, and I’m gonna cut the cancer out. I am honestly sad that I’m the only person here who can see what’s wrong with this place. The championships, the fragile egos, all of it. And over the past week I have realized that in order to take that first step in destroying this place, I need to be at the top and win that useless EAW World Championship. So that is why I am here to announce that I will be participating in the EAW World Championship Chamber match at Road to Redemption!
(The crowd boos even louder as Drake shakes his head.)
Persephone: Uhhh can he do that? :wtf:
Drake King: I know! I know! Trust me, I don’t like it any more than you do that I have to compete in this type of match, but I am left with no other choi –
???: No, that’s not how things work around here!
(Captain Charisma emerges to a huge ovation on the stage and approaches the ring before stepping in. Drake stands with his arms crossed.)
Captain Charisma: You’ve been on this show for a while now, and you know that it just isn’t that simple. You don’t just get to walk around and place yourself in Championship matches. You are not just going to enter yourself in the Chamber match. If you really wanted to compete in it or get a shot at the title , then you would earn the right much like TLA did when he beat you at Wicked Games to qualify. So I’m sorry to tell you Drake, that you will not be participating.
Drake King: By the way yes I can insert myself because uhh, are you forgetting a little something?
(Captain Charisma gives a puzzled look at that response.)
Captain Charisma: What are you getting at?
Drake King: It seems you have forgotten that I still haven’t cashed in my favor yet for leading team Voltage to victory in Anarchy In The Arena back at Territorial Invasion. That’s right, a quick reminder that that favor can be used for anything, especially championship opportunities, and I’m announcing that I’m cashing in that favor for a spot in the Chamber match and there’s nothing you can do about it!
Captain Charisma: Drake…..everybody in this match needs to earn it. This isn’t right because you lost your opportunity fair and sq –
Drake King: Nothing. You. Can. Do. About. It.
Captain Charisma: :francis:
(Captain Charisma shakes his head and doesn’t say anything, knowing that his hands are tied and he has no choice but to put Drake in the match, but it is quite obvious that he does not want to in any way and is trying to find a way out of this.)
???: Go ahead, let him in the match.
(The crowd roars as The EAW Champion Minerva walks out with her title in hand and a microphone in the other.)
Minerva: The more I think about it, the more I want you in it, Drake, because me and you have some unfinished business. Despite winning at Pain for Pride, I have never truly been able to pin or get the best of you, and I’m not going to miss out on the chance to face you again and give you what you truly deserve. Let us not forget that this is the same exact event and match that last year, where you betrayed me and beat me to a pulp. Despite what has happened since, that night still plays in my head over and over again, and it bothers me that I haven’t made you truly pay for those actions, and now,,, I’m going to do that before finally putting you in my rear view mirror for the rest of my life. You put me through hell a year ago, and now this time,I put YOU through hell.
(The crowd cheers even louder as TLA walks out on the stage behind Minerva, twirling a microphone.)
TLA: Y’all can go ahead and put Drake King all up in the lucha if he want to. I be giving no f- I ean no me importa. I have already proven time and time again that I can defeat Drake when it comes down to it and unlike him I ain’t the type to run from competition or try to hold them down. I stay taking on all comers. Anyone. Anytime. Anywhere. So bring the gringo and imma put my boot to him una vez mas. Show him what happens when you step to TLA. He clearly ain’t ever going to have enough of my beatings so lets sign him up for another cuz I ain’t never tired of dishing them out. Drake is going to take yet another L.
(Drake shakes his head in denial inside the ring.)
TLA: I am not interested in what Drake King thinks or wants. Let him do whatever he wants. I am fully focused. Zeroed in on the goal. Gots them ojos on that oro. I am going to become the EAW World Champion again one way or another. I don’t care who I have to defeat to become champion. As much fun as it would be to take on Minerva one on one and avenge my Voltage loss to chica it would be just as impressive to conquer that Chamber. Drake is a former World Champ so lets throw him all up in there and watch me come out as el campeón de los campeones. And if I have yet another chance to take Drake out inside yet another chamber that is just the icing on the cake and y’all know La Pantera Sexual be knowing all about that cake fr.
Minerva: Agreed. Neither of us have a problem with it so there should be no guilt in letting him cash in his favor to be in this. If Drake wants to be an idiot and deal with the problem of facing both of us at the same time, then go ahead and add him to the match.
(Drake again shakes his head at both TLA and Minerva’s statements.)
Drake King: Along with destroying this company, I want to destroy the both of you as well and that’s exactly what I’m going to do after taking what you’ve worked your career for and the opportunity TLA is desperate for. The first wrecking ball shot to this company is going to happen when the Chamber is done, and taking both of you down is only going to make my mission even more satisfying. The history I have with the both of you, it all finally ends at Road to Redemption. Neither of you want to deal with me, not the other way around.
Captain Charisma: Well, it looks I have no chance of winning this argument, so I guess I have no choice but to announce, by way of Drake cashing in his Territorial Invasion favor, he will be officially added to the Elimination Chamber match at Road To Redemption for the EAW World Championship joining both Minerva and TLA!
(Captain Charisma exits the ring walking past both Minerva and TLA on the ramp as they look pleased Drake was added. They both turn their heads back to Drake in the ring.)
Minerva: Good. May God have mercy on your soul, because I won’t.
Drake King: Say goodbye to your worthless championship. TLA, say goodbye to your worthless existence, and most importantly, say goodbye to EAW. The first step happens at Road to Redemption.
(Drake drops the microphone and all three Elitists stare at one another as the crowd inside the sold-out building roars. The Voltage chamber just added another star and considering the history Drake has with TLA and the champ, Minerva, respectfully, things are bound to explode come Road to Redemption.)
(With that final shot, Voltage fades to its first commercial break.)

(Voltage returns to ringside, and Bella Braxton is in rhe middle of the ring with a microphone.)

(“The Reluctant Heroes” by Hiroyuki Sawano plays as the crowd gives a very warm welcome to Haruka Kashimashi as she steps onto the stage. She soaks in the reaction and taps hands with fans on her way to the ring.)
Bella Braxton: INTRODUCING FIRST….FROM SAPPORO, HOKKAIDO….WEIGHING IN AT 128 POUNDS…”THE PRODIGIOUS VALKYRIE”….HAARRUUKKKAAA KASSHHHIIIMASSHHIIIII!!!
James Peters: Came up short at Wicked Games, but we heard her saying she won’t let it keep her down as she has her sights on the Extreme Enigma battle royal, and she looks to build some much needed momentum for that with a victory here tonight.
(“Bad Man” by Polo G plays as the crowd immediately boos him into oblivion. Abel Atami steps onto the stage with a cold expression on his face taking a look around before just making a beeline for the ring with his eyes dead locked on Haruka.)
Bella Braxton: AND HER OPPONENT….FROM THE HAILS OF THE SEAS….WEIGHING IN AT 251 POUNDS…HE IS “EAW’S LEONIDAS!!!”….ABBELLLL ATTAAMMIIIII!!!
Rich Russillo: Visiting from Showdown, a guy who has just seen a string of bad luck throughout his career, but one single win can turn it all around and maybe the change of scenery will help him here tonight.
(Ding! Ding! Ding!)
James Peters: And this one is underway as Abel and Haruka step forward to the center of the ring….and they lock up in a collar and elbow tie-up, and Abel easily overpowers her and tries to intimidate her with his strength but.Haruka is not intimidated in the slightest as she motions for Abel to bring it. Both of them circle the ring waiting for the other to make the first move….And then a kick to the midsection from Abel before hammering at her back then driving her into the corner. Abel grabs ahold of her throat now!
Referee: ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! COME ON BACK IT UP NOW!!
Rich Russillo: The referee steps in and forces Abel to back up. Abel coming out of the gates firing, and then Haruka shakes the cobwebs out before locking up with Abel in a collar and elbow tie-up once more! This time it’s Haruka who gains the control as she applies a side headlock! But Abel uses his power and throws her to the ropes….and then knocks Haruka down with a shoulder tackle! Abel runs off the ropes now and then Haruka pops back up…AND THEN HITS A DROPKICK TO THE RIGHT KNEECAP! SHE FOLLOWS THAT UP WITH A RUNNING BULLDOG TAKING DOWN ABEL!
James Peters: Haruka might have the control in her favor, and then she runs off the ropes to keep it going…AND SHE DELIVERS A SHINING WIZARD TO THE BACK OF ABEL’S HEAD BEFORE GOING FOR THE FIRST COVER OF THE MATCH!!

Persephone: And Abel powers out of it before getting back to his feet, BUT HERE COMES HARUKA WHO GOES FOR THE CHOP BLOCK TO THE BACK OF THE LEG! Abel is chopped down and Haruka runs off the ropes once more and goes for – WE WON’T KNOW AS ABEL POPPED UP AND HE NAILS HARUKA WITH A SPINNING SIDE SLAM! Abel checks his lip for blood before going and picking her up by the hair…and she tries to fight back with several shots to the ribs….but Abel drives his knee into the midsection! And now what does he have planned as he places Haruka between the legs…
James Peters: But Haruka spins out of it and then delivers a spinning kick to the midsection…..AND THEN A STEP UP KNEE STRIKE TO THE BRIDGE OF THE NOSE THAT SENDS ABEL THROUGH THE SECOND ROPE TO THE OUTSIDE! Haruka is feeling pumped up now as she runs off the ropes….TOPE CON HILO OVER THE TOP ROPE HARUKA LANDING ON TOP OF ABEL! Haruka fires up the crowd after that as she has all the momentum in her favor right now!
Rich Russillo: Haruka tries to pick him up get him inside, and she manages to roll him back in as she climbs up the top rope and balances him up high…AND SHE GOES FOR THE FROG SPLASH!! BUT ABEL MOVES OUT OF THE WAY AT THE LAST SPLIT SECOND! The look on Abel’s face looks as if his life flashed before his eyes. Abel goes and picks her up, and then picks her up in a running power slam position – BUT HARUKA SLIPS OUT FROM BEHIND! HARUKA GOES FOR THE SUPERKICK….BUT OH NO! ABEL CATCHES HER FOOT AND THEN FLIPS HER BACKWARDS, BUT HARUKA LANDS ON HER FEET – AND I THINK ABEL WAS EXPECTING THAT AS HE NEARLY DECAPITATES HER WITH A SPINNING LARIAT!! AND HE NOW GOES FOR THE COVER!!

James Peters: But Haruka still gets the shoulder up! And Abel wastes no time in going back on the attack, and then begins to hammer away at the back before…Abel locks in the sleeper hold on Haruka as Haruka tries to squirm her way out, but is having little to no success. Abel locking it in as tight as he can…and then Abel uses her flexibility and stretches her lower body out and manages to get a rope break forcing Abel to let go.
Rich Russillo: Haruka rolls under the apron to recuperate a second, but Abel doesn’t give her much time as he reaches over the rope and grabs her by the hair! BUT LOOK! HARUKA GRABS HIS HEAD AND SLINGSHOTS HIM THROAT FIRST OFF THE TOP ROPE AS SHE DROPPED TO THE OUTSIDE FLOOR! Haruka knows this might be a prime opportunity for her to strike as she slides back inside the ring and waits for Abel to turn around – AND SHE RUNS AND TAKES HIM DOWN WITH A VICIOUS BICYCLE KNEE STRIKE TO THE FACE! She doesn’t go for the cover though, looking to keep this flurry of momentum going….
James Peters: She looks to go up top again. She did this once and it didn’t work out, but will it this time?….YES IT WILL!! HARUKA DRIVES THE ELBOW INTO THE HEART OF ABEL WITH A PICTURE PERFECT DIVING ELBOW DROP, AND SHE HAS THE HOOK OF THE LEG!

Persephone: And Abel still manages to power out of it, and now Haruka wonders of what to next here. Haruka stands above Abel now, and Abel looks to be trying to fight out of her grip here..AN UPPERCUT THAT CAUGHT HARUKA OUT OF NOWHERE! AND THEN HARUKA RETALIATES WITH A ROUNDHOUSE KICK TO THE SIDE OF THE HEAD THAT DROPS ABEL DOWN TO A KNEE! AND HERE HOES GARUKA RUNNING OFF THE ROPES ONCE MORE….
James Peters: ABEL CATCHES HER WITH A SUPERKICK RIGHT TO THE FACE! AND THEN ABEL FOLLOW THAT UP AND SWITCHES TO HER BACKSIDE – AND THEN A GERMAN SUPLEX THROWING HARUKA RIGHT IN THE BACK IF HER HEAD! Haruka scoots to the corner as Abel knows she’s in a vulnerable spot … AND HERE COMES ABEL WITH A FULL HEAD OF STEAM – AND HE HITS A RUNNING DROPKICK IN THE CORNER! And now Abel gets her in an upright position before….an elbow strike before lifting her up on the top rope, what does he have in mind here?
Rich Russillo: Abel is trying to go for the superplex! But Haruka is trying with all her will to stop it from happening, trying to fight back as she hits several blows to the ribs, and now both of them begin to exchange shots with the other going back and forth, who is going to be the one to get control?….AND IT LOOKS LIKE HARUKA IS REFUSING TO DIE JUST USING HER FOREARM AS A BATTERING RAM REPEATEDLY DRIVING IT INTO ABEL’S FACE! AND OH MY GOD!! HARUKA DELIVERS A HURRICANRANA FROM THE TOP ROPE! AND THEN FOLLOWS IT UP WITH A STANDING DOUBLE FOOT STOMP STRAIGHT TO THE CHEST BEFORE GOING FOR THE COVER!!

James Peters: BUT ABEL STILL GET HIS SHOULDER UP! Haruka thinks of what to do next, BUT LOOK OUT!! ABEL OUT OF NOWHERE LOCKS IN THE TRIANGLE CHOKE!! ABEL TRAPPED HER OUT OF NOWHERE AND HARUKA LOOKS TO BE IN FULL PANIC MODE TRYING TO SQUIRM AND FIND A WAY OUT, BUT ABEL ISN’T MAKING IT EASY AT ALL CHOKING THE LIFE OUT OF HER YELLING AT HER TO TAP OUT!! DOES SHE HAVE ANY OTHER CHOICE BUT TO TAP OUT HERE?!
Persephone: If she’s going down, she’s gonna go down swinging as she’s fighting with the energy she has left to get out of this…AND SHE LIFTS ABEL OFF THE MAT SOMEHOW…AND DROPS HIM RIGHT ON HIS HEAD!! WHAT A FEAT OF STRENGTH THERE FROM HARUKA MANAGING TO SAVE HERSELF! Both are down before they both begin to stir back their feet at the same time, and she goes for a kick, but the leg is caught by Abel, who spins her around…BUT HARUKA TRANSITIONS IT INTO A DOUBLE LEG LARIAT TAKING ABEL DOWN…AND NOW LOOK WHAT SHE’S DOING!!
James Peters: SHE HOOKS BOTH OF THE ARM AND SHE LOCKS IT IN!! SHE HAS “TIEBREAKER” LOCKED IN! THE CATTLE MUTILATION AS HARUKA HAS IT IN DEEP AS ABEL IS THE ONE NOW IN PANIC MODE TRYING TO FIND A WAY OUT OF THIS! IS HE GOING TO TAP OUT?! NOT YET THOUGH AS HE USES HIS STRENGTH ADVANTAGE AND MANAGES TO BREAK FREE! Both try to get to their feet, BUT HARUKA DELIVERS A SOCCER STYLE KICK TO THE FACE, AND ABEL MIGHT BE IN SOME SERIOUS TROUBLE HERE AS HARUKA PULLS HIM IN…AND SHE HITS “ESPERANZA!!” SHE STUNS ABEL BEFORE CRAWLING OVER AND HOOKING THE LEG FOR THE COVER AND THE VICTORY!!

ABEL GOT THE KNEES UP AND THAT MAY HAVE JUST COSTED HARUKA THE MATCH HERE AS ABEL SLOWLY STUMBLES BACK UP TO HIS FEET AND HAS HIS EYES DEAD SET ON HARUKA AND MAKES HIS WAY OVER TO HER ANDS SMELLS BLOOD IN THE WATER! Abel shows a little bit of frustration pounding the mat before standing up and picking Haruka up and places her between the legs..BUT BEFORE WE KNEW WHAT HE HAD IN MIND, HARUKA BACKS HIM INTO THE CORNER! SHOULDER THRUSTS FROM HARUKA IN THE CORNER BEFORE SHE HITS SEVERAL STRIKES AND KICKS TO THE BODY AS ABEL TRIES HIS BEST TO COVER UP TO NO AVAIL! She looks to be in full control as she backs up several feet….
James Peters: “PAPER PLANE!!’ THE CARTWHEEL BACK ELBOW SHOT TO ABEL IN THE CORNER, AND HARUKA MIGHT JUST HAVE HIM WHERE SHE WANTS HIM, OH MY LORD!!!!! THE STANDING SPANISH FLY FROM HARUKA AS SHE DRAPES HERSELF OVER ABEL AND HAS THE COVER! IS THIS GOING TO BE IT FOR ABEL?

And Abel turns around to face her and then she charges at him with full speed – BUT ABEL CATCHES HER WITH A VICIOUS SPINEBUSTER!! Abel buys himself some valuable time as he rolls away to the corner to catch his breath and wow, it looks like Haruka landed a bit hard on her head there as she clutches it in a bit of pain.
James Peters: Abel finally stands and approaches Haruka, he looks down on her….and then delivers a kick to the stomach before dropping down repetitive elbows to the heart! Abel going all out right now in order to wear Haruka down and Abel looks like he wants to put this match away as he picks Haruka up and gets her between the legs and lifts her up in a powerbomb position – BUT HARUKA ROLLED THROUGH IT WITH A SUNSET FLIP AND SHE HAS THE PIN! SHE’S GOT HIM! SHE’S GOT HIM!!

BUT AGAIN ABEL USES HIS POWER AND HOLDS HER UPRIGHT REFUSING TO LET IT HAPPEN!! ABEL THROWS HER HIGH BEFORE SLAMMING HER STOMACH FIRST ON THE MAT! HARUKA MIGHT BE IN TROUBLE AS ABEL NOW …

Rich Russillo: ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?! HARUKA SOMEHOW GOT HER FOOT UNDER THE BOTTOM ROPE! GREAT RING AWARENESS RIGHT THERE, AND ABEL IS IRATE ABOUT THINKING THAT HE HAD THE MATCH WON RIGHT THERE! He pounds the mat in some frustration as he was convinced that was going to be enough as I’m sure we all did. The million dollar question is though was that Abel’s best shot?
James Peters: He knows though he can’t spend too much time dwelling as he waits for her to turn around… AND HE LOOKS TO GO FOR IT A SECOND TIME…BUT HARUKA BLOCKS IT AND FIGHTS BACK WITH BLOWS TO THE RIBS! BUT THEN ABEL REFUSES TO LOSE CONTROL AS HE PICKS HER UP IN A BEAR HUG! ABEL IS SQUEEZING THE ABSOLUTE LIFE OUT OF HER NOW AS HARUKA IS TRYING TO FIND A WAY OUT OF THIS, BUT THERE JUST MIGHT NOT BE THIS TIME! He begins to swing her back and forth as Haruka is fading a bit, we all know Haruka will not go down without a fight….
Rich Russillo: BUT HARUKA IS STILL FIGHTING AS SHE RAINS DOWN ELBOWS ON THE TOP OF THE HEAD OF ABEL!! And she gets Abel to loosen the grip on her a bit and she manages to slip out from his grip…AND THEN JUMPS UP AND GRABS THE HEAD AND SPIKES HIS HEAD RIGHT INTO THE MAT!! Haruka and Abel are both down here again and both of them begin to stir to their feet in the center of the ring, A FOREARM STRIKE FROM ABEL! AND THEN HARUKA RETALIATES WITH A ROUNDHOUSE KICK THAT DROPS HIM DOWN TO A KNEE, AND HARUKA RUNS OFF OF THE ROPES AND DELIVERS A BICYCLE KNEE STRIKE TO THE FACE THAT SOUNDED LIKE A GUNSHOT! And she doesn’t go for the cover as she slowly rolls under the rope to the apron and ascends up to the top rope, this could be very risky at this stage of the match, but Haruka knows what she has to do to put this away.
Persephone: AND SHE BALANCES HERSELF UP TOP – AND THEN LEAPS OFF GOING FOR “PRODIGIOUS LANDING” FOR A SECOND TIME….AND IT CONNECTS THIS TIME BEAUTIFULLY ON TOP OF ABEL, AND THE HOOK OF THE LEG ON ABEL, IS THIS GOING TO BE ENOUGH TO PUT THIS MATCH AWAY?

James Peters: And Voltage is supreme as Haruka emerges victorious. A huge momentum boost for her heading into Road to Redemption after a great match, congratulations to her.
Rich Russillo: Abel Atami had a good showing, but in the end tonight was Haruka’s night!
(The final shot is of Haruka celebrating her win on the second rope posing as Abel looks on from the ramp angry at how the match ended.)
(Sunday Night Voltage fades to show backstage and the locker rooms, specifically the one belonging to the Ice Aces’. Inside they were simply taking a moment to relax for once, as Ayu was laying down on one of the benches and taking a nap, while ARIA was in the corner playing on her Nintendo Switch. Suddenly, the door swung open and both of them looked over in surprise, with Ayu quickly shooting up to her feet. They were really expecting unwelcome visitors due to previous times, but it was actually Usagi standing at the door. She looked at both of them and went straight to the point.)
Usagi Senshi: Let’s go.
(Usagi then turned her back on them and walked away, while Ayu and ARIA looked at each other in a confused manner before they got up and quickly followed after her. A few minutes passed of Usagi walking around the hallways along with Ayu and ARIA following her, until Ayu finally decided to break the silence.)
Ayu Megumi: Usagi-chan, is everything alright?
ARIA: Yeah, you kind of just told us to go without any reason as to why we had to go.
(Usagi quickly stops on her tracks and she turns to her teammates with an expression full of anger.)
Usagi Senshi: We are going to Captain Charisma’s office. I am not letting this go on any longer.
(She then turned her back on them again and she kept walking, Ayu and ARIA kept up but they quickly began talking to each other.)
ARIA: Are we sure this is a good idea?
Ayu Megumi: I think it is a good idea! Why do you say that?
ARIA: Because I am not sure Captain Charisma will be able to help us. I said before that the only way we will get rid of this problem is by getting rid of Eden, and I am confident he won’t be able to help us there.
Ayu Megumi: It might seem unlikely he will help us at first, but at least we have to try! We won’t know if it will actually work or not!
ARIA: How certain are you about that, Ayu?
Ayu Megumi: Well… I am willing to bet on it!
ARIA: Alright, remember a few hours ago we bought those cookies? You say Captain Charisma will help us with the Eden problem and I say he won’t, so if I win the bet I get your cookies and if you win you get mine, deal?
Ayu Megumi: Deal.
(ARIA and Ayu quickly shook on that and then rushed to keep up with Usagi. Over at Captain Charisma’s office he let out a sigh as he was still annoyed because of what happened earlier in the night with Drake entering the Elimination Chamber. Either way, he was now trying to not focus on that kind of detail, he just got a cup of coffee and he was going to sit down and take the rest of the night to relax. He sat down in his chair and just when he was about to take a sip, he glanced up and he saw Usagi, Ayu and ARIA standing in front of his desk with serious expressions on their faces. He stopped for a moment and he slowly spoke up.)
Captain Charisma: … Do any of you want some coffee?
ARIA: Captain…
Captain Charisma: Right, right, sorry. It is the least I can give you!
(A few moments later, Captain Charisma gave the Ice Aces each their own cup of coffee as he sat down and put his cup to the side, ready to hear them out.)
Captain Charisma: Alright, tell me what is happening.
Usagi Senshi: You know what is happening.
Captain Charisma: Ok I know what is happening, but so much has happened I need a quick recap to catch up to speed.
Usagi Senshi: It has gotten to the point you need a recap Captain Charisma, that is how long this stupid problem has been going on. It has also gotten to the point that Eden Sinclair, Candice Blair, Ronan Malosi and now Sierra Everett have caused mostly everything bad in this Season for us, and us three are incredibly tired from having to deal with this. Especially myself when I had to be restricted to something I didn’t want to do, when I had to be called names and comments that were supposed to ridicule me, when I had to be accused of something I am NOT! I am tired of continuing to play the same idiotic game and one way or another, that game has to end.
ARIA: All of this started because we didn’t want to side with Eden’s messed up morals. I am sure she wasn’t looking out for our well being. She was just looking to use us. She was looking to ridicule Kylie, she was looking to fire TLA just because of him being himself, and when we fought back she only continued to play dirty tricks against us, bringing in people like Candice, Ronan and Sierra to use to her advantage. They have been targeting our lives for way too long now, trying to make Usagi’s life a living hell, trying to make her and Ayu split up, and then getting involved in our match at Wicked Games and ending the way it did because of them. None of us are happy about any of this and we are tired of continuing to get stepped over.
Ayu Megumi: Please Captain Charisma, you need to listen to us here. Usagi is tired, ARIA is tired, and I am tired as well. Something needs to be done about them because this has gone on every single week. Every single week they have tried to ridicule us and make our lives worse just because we have been fighting for what we believe is right…no, for what is actually right! We are fighting for what is right here because we are simply defending ourselves. We have defended ourselves for seven months since the Ice Aces have been formed as a trio. We have defended ourselves because our enemies have only been trying to trash our name, trying to accuse my girlfriend of something she is not, trying to downplay my friend’s morals, trying to blow my situation out of proportion with a fake hashtag! They are clearly trying to ruin the career of the Ice Aces’…and we aren’t going to let them get away with that.
(Captain Charisma sat there listening to everything that they have said, nodding slowly in response. He quickly stood up and responded to the three of them without cutting any corners.)
Captain Charisma: I understand, I understand the frustrations of you three and believe me, I am very disappointed and angry that everything has reached this boiling point. Sadly, there is nothing I can do…
(The expressions of the Ice Aces’ change when hearing that, Usagi’s is filled with rage, Ayu’s is filled with sadness and ARIA’s is filled with disappointment, but she expected that. She holds her hand to the side in front of Ayu, expecting for her to give her the cookies before Captain Charisma cuts her off.)
Captain Charisma: Nothing I can do…except one thing.
(The Ice Aces stand there surprised as Captain Charisma responds with that and then he quickly continues talking.)
Captain Charisma: It is what I told Ayu a few months ago here at my office, I care about the Elitists on my brand, and when I picked the three of you to be here on Voltage, you became my Elitists and so your problems, are my problems as well. I picked the three of you because all of you are very talented wrestlers with a lot of heart, so I promise that I will do everything I can to help you out. I can’t do much except for one thing, and that is to offer you an opportunity to get back at the group. Ayu, Usagi, the two of you can get a chance to deal with Candice once and for all at Road to Redemption. Let me tell you this, a tag match pitting Ayu and Usagi versus Candice and Sierra for the event, the stipulation being No Disqualification! What do you think?
(The Ice Aces are very much so pleased after hearing that, and they all nod in response, happy that they could at least get something to get back at them.)
ARIA: I am good with it. I’ll be busy with the Specialists Chamber but I am confident my friends got it!
Usagi Senshi: We are just looking forward to getting the chance to finally get our hands on Candice and finally make her pay after all that she’s done to us since returning.
Ayu Megumi: And at the same time make Sierra regret aligning with that group. Yeah. I think the three of us are good with that decision!
Captain Charisma: Very glad to hear then, if you need anything else, you know where to find me.
(The three nod once again and before forgetting about anything else, they quickly chug down the coffee Captain Charisma gave them and in a few seconds they finish it. They put down the cups and they leave, saying goodbye to Captain Charisma and thanking him as well. Captain Charisma can only stand there in shock seeing how fast they drank the coffee before he let out a small smile while shaking his head, as he sat down back on his desk and finally got to drink his own coffee.)
(As the Ice Aces left the office, Ayu immediately got in front of ARIA and stopped her in her tracks, as she put her own hand in front of her with a bright smile on her face, expecting ARIA this time to give her the cookies. ARIA panics a bit and she quickly responds.)
ARIA: A-Alright, Ayu, I know it seems like I lost here but I said specifically if Captain Charisma would have helped us with Eden, and he helped us in something that doesn’t involve Eden technically so…
Ayu Megumi: …I would like my cookies now, ARIA. 🙂
ARIA: Ok, how about this? We call it a draw, and you give me your cookies and I give you mine.
Ayu Megumi: Hmmmmm…fine then.
(ARIA and Ayu quickly give each other their bags of cookies, the two of them stand there with a smile before Ayu immediately realizes what happened.)
Ayu Megumi: Wait, we still end up with the same amount of cookies!
ARIA: Hey, I didn’t make the rules of the game-
Ayu Megumi: ARIA!!! 😡
(ARIA and Usagi let out a small laugh as Ayu stands there angry that she got tricked while Voltage quickly fades away from backstage.)
(The camera cuts to Bella Braxton in the ring.)
Bella Braxton: The following contest is scheduled for one fall!

(‘Came Out Swinging’ by The Wonder Years hits to cheers from the crowd. Nick Hart begins walking out to the stage, and he has a focused look on his face, not wasting much time as he begins to make his way down the ramp.)
Bella Braxton: Introducing first from Portland, Oregon weighing in at 225 pounds he is the “Man of 1000 Pins” NIIIIIIIIIIIIIICKKKKKKKKKKK HARTTTTTTTTTT!!!
James Peters: Nick Hart is of course visiting from Dynasty so he is in enemy territory here tonight. However, given his opponent I think he might actually be the crowd favorite in spite of that.
Persephone: Those fans are disloyal to Voltage. I would never.
Rich Russillo: Well brand loyalty aside Nick Hart is an impressive talent and if he puts in the work I can see great things for him in the future. However, he is facing one hell of a challenge tonight and we will see if he can compete with Voltage’s own Halsey Neel.
(‘Seek and Destroy’ by Metallica hits to boos from the crowd. Halsey Neel ignores the crowd walking directly to the ring. It’s all business here tonight for Halsey, who’s looking to add another victory to her record on her path to Road to Redemption.)
Bella Braxton: And his opponent from Birmingham, England she is “The Ripper” HAAAAAAAAAALSEYYYYYYY NEEEEEEEEEEL!!!
Rich Russillo: This week Halsey Neel had some harsh words for her opponent. She has faced him before and she told him he would amount to nothing in EAW. And she believes that she was right.
James Peters: You have to imagine that Nick Hart is determined to prove her wrong on that. In reality, both of these talents have a long road ahead of them and I wouldn’t count any of them out yet. They can both go on to achieve great things!
Persephone: I disagree. Only the winner of this match will go on to achieve great things. The loser won’t. It’s that simple.

James Peters: That’s obviously not true.

Rich Russillo: We are underway as Nick Hart immediately runs behind Halsey Neel and rolls her up with a School Boy pin! Wow that came out of nowhere!

James Peters: Kickout by Halsey Neel! The Man of 1000 Pins nearly living up to his namesake there. Nick pulls Halsey back up and hits some slow punches staggering her back and rocking her back. Nick chops the chest of Halsey sending her into the corner. Wait no! Halsey turns things around and sends Mick inronthe corner! Halsey now with repeated Shoulder Thrusts into the turnbuckle over and over again just assaulting on the midsection of Nick. Halsey now pulling Nick out of the corner before throwing him to the ropes! Nick goes flying back against the ropes before coming back towards Halsey and leaps towards her! But Nick flips over Halsey and rolls her up with the sudden Sunset Flip!!!
Referee: ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!

Rich Russillo: The kickout from Halsey Neel! Two quick near falls from both competitors but it is clear neither of them have been able to put the other away. Nick almost done went and stole it right there. Both competitors back up as Halsey immediately connects with a Superkick to the face of Nick! No! Nick grabs Halsey and yanks her towards him by the leg and throws her backwards with an Exploder Suplex sending her flying and exploding right back into the turnbuckle! Halsey crashes back first into the turnbuckle before sliding off and landing in the ring yelling out in pain. Nick now going high risk! He is going all out and all up to the top rope as he looks to take flight! Nick WITH THE SHOOTING STAR PRESS!!! HE GETS ALL OF IT! Nick WITH THE COVER AS HE MAY HAVE JUST DEFEATED HALSEY RIGHT HERE TONIGHT!!!

James Peters: Halsey Neel survives and Nick is not happy about it. He then leaps onto Halsey throwing fists but Halsey blocks the fists with her forearms and redirects the punches away from her. Halsey then slaps Nick hard across the face rocking him as he staggers back his legs turning to jelly beneath him. Nick nearly falls over before Halsey grabs him for an Irish Whip… but Halsey captures Nick on the rebound and flips him up and over her with a Back Body Drop! Nick grabs his back in pain as Halsey is now rolling and looking to end this thing real quick out here. Nick back up holding his back as Halsey backhands his face repeatedly as Nick is barely even able to stand at this point. Halsey kicks Nick in the gut and drops him suddenly with an Evenflow DDT!!! Halsey to the cover!!!
Rich Russillo: No! Nick grabs Halsey Neel and rolls her into a Small Package! Nick is going to steal this thing here tonight!!!
Referee: ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!

Rich Russillo: Somehow! Someway! Halsey Neel with the kickout! Nick is in disbelief he thought he had stolen it there! But Nick right back up only to eat a Superkick to the face from Halsey sending him flying back into the corner. Halsey comes charging in with a Running Shoulder Thrust into the gut of Nick in the corner. Halsey falls backwards as Nick comes charging out of the corner but she throws him backwards with a Back Body Drop dropping Nick back first in the middle of the ring! Now what does Halsey have planned here??? Halsey going high risk! She is making her way to the top rope and she may just end Nick right here and now!
Persephone: Anything but that! Keep the match going! Wait no I didn’t mean that literally!
James Peters: Nick is suddenly back up as he runs up to the top rope and begins throwing fists right to the face of Halsey Neel! Nick fighting back preventing the high flying aerial attack she had planned! Both competitors are in a dangerous place atop the top rope and Nick hooks the arm! Oh no what is he going to do??? Nick yanks on Halsey but she sandbags preventing him from throwing her off! But Nick just yanks harder! Nick repeatedly headbutts the skull of Halsey before pulling her up and over!!! SUPERPLEX FROM THE TOP ROPE CONNECTS!!! Nick JUST DROVE HALSEY INTO THE RING AND SHE IS DECEASED!!! NICKHAS THIS THING AS HE SLOWLY CRAWLS TOWARDS THE COVER!!!
Referee: ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!

Rich Russillo: But Halsey Neel kicks out at two! Nick stomping away at Halsey on the ground repeatedly as she powers her way back up only to eat a hard uppercut staggering her back. Nick showing a bit of discipline here to keep his cool as he methodically continues to wear Halsey down with those strikes. Nick yanks Halsey back up and whips her across the ring! But Halsey finds the means to reverse it! Nick is sent across the ring and eats a picture perfect Dropkick from Halsey!
James Peters: Halsey Neel now stalking Nick who pulls himself up in the corner only to eat repeated strikes and kicks from Halsey in the corner. A hard back chop across the chest of Nick who grimaces in pain as Halsey is clearly not interested in stopping until Nick has been rendered defeated. Nick collapses to the ground in the corner as Halsey begins stomping a mudhole in him and he is helpless to her assault here and Halsey may just go all the way with this as Nick is really taking some damage after having brought the fight for some time in this match.
Rich Russillo: Halsey Neel backs up before charging in with a Running Big Boot to Nick in the corner! No! Nick catches the leg of Halsey and throws her backwards into the ring having taken control of her via that leg! Halsey nearly loses her balance as Nick begins to strike at her with hard chops to the head and chest sending her flailing across the ring and down to the mat. Nick off the ropes with a Rolling Knee Drop across the face of Halsey which looks quite painful!
James Peters: Nick now off the ropes as he looks for yet another Rolling Knee Drop! But this time Halsey Neel moves out of the way! Nick goes knee first into the ring mat and that had to hurt! Halsey now possibly looking to take advantage as she kicks away at the back of Nick with speed. Nick on the defensive now as he tries to roll away from Halsey but she grabs him by the leg and yanks him right back towards her!
Rich Russillo: Nick is in real trouble now as Halsey Neel twists him around into a Half Boston Crab! Halsey with the one legged Boston Crab now and she is really applying it fiercely! Nick may have no choice but to tap out he is far from the ropes! But he is crawling! Crawling like a crab but can he get to the ropes? Or is it all over for Nick here tonight!??!?!?!? He taps! Wait no! That wasn’t a tap it was a slap of the mat as he pulls himself towards the ropes! He reaches the ropes as Halsey immediately releases the hold. Nick shoves her away somewhat feebly as it looks like Halsey has had enough! She immediately charges Nick Hart and begins stomping away at him brutally. Halsey with a hard Curb Stomp to the back of Nick’s head leaving him lying motionless in the ring.
Persephone: Unfortunately it looks like this match may be a wra-
James Peters: But Halsey Neel is not done yet! A Spinning Roundhouse Kick into a stomp for extra momentum as Halsey continues to beat down on Nick Hart on the mat. Halsey with repeated forearm smashes to the back of the neck of Nick just to make sure he is really as destroyed as she wants him to be. Halsey backs up into the corner as Nick is somehow still moving slightly. He slowly raises up his head as Halsey comes out of the corner and charges in…
Rich Russillo: RUNNING PUNT KICK FROM HALSEY NEEL! SHE JUST TOOK NICK HART’S HEAD OFF! THE COVER AND THAT HAS TO BE IT!!!

James Peters: I am actually shocked that Nick Hart kicked out there. I thought for sure he was out from that kick. Halsey Neel put a lot of effort into it. Halsey grabs the arm of Nick and wrenches it back painfully. I guess if he is going to kick out she is just going to have to torture him. She is really yanking on that arm. Any further and it is going to pop out the socket! Halsey yanks on the arm in a painful snapping manner before releasing it allowing the arm to slam into the mat for extra pain. Halsey then mounts on top of Nick and begins throwing flat palms right into his face. That looks painful as she continues to mash on his face. Just shoving her palms right into it and she could easily break his nose doing something like that. Nick shoves her off but Halsey just kicks at him as he scurries away into the corner. Nick has been training hard lately but it looks like it just is not enough to match what Halsey is bringing to the table here tonight.

Halsey with all the momentum as Nick staggers out of the corner and falls into the arms of Halsey who flips him over to the mat with a Bridging Northern Lights Suplex! James Peters: Not even sure how Nick Hart was able to kick out! Or why he kicked out! He has been unable to mount any kind of offense… or defense really for some time. It might be time to call it quits. But I can respect the determination to continue and who knows maybe he will find a way to fight out of it. Sometimes the effort is what matters. Nick slowly rises back up to his feet as he swings for a hard punch but Halsey easily sidesteps it and Nick nearly falls over from the force! Halsey dodges and runs off the ropes catching Nick as he whirls around in confusion! SPEAR! SPEAR! SPEAR! Halsey just tore into the midsection of Nick and she is signalling to the crowd that it is absolutely over and she is going to put this man away once and for all!
Rich Russillo: Halsey Neel now stalking Nick Hart from behind as she lurks in waiting with some idea of what she is going to do to end the match… She charges in with a Bicycle Knee!!!!
James Peters: NO! NICK HART MOVES OUT OF THE WAY!!! Nick somehow dodges the attack as Halsey comes flailing around! Nick with a Running Clothesline! But his arm just bounces off the chest of Halsey! He didn’t hit her with enough force to take her down! Halsey smirks at Nick and rolls her shoulders before grabbing him and throwing him back with a Belly to Belly Suplex! Halsey grabs Nick and twists him around… THE DECONSTRUCTION OF EVERYTHING IS APPLIED!!!

(‘Seek and Destroy’ by Metallica hits to boos from the crowd as Halsey Neel has her arm raised in victory. She has a smirk on her face following another dominant victory, meanwhile Nick Hart has rolled out of the ring in pain.)
Rich Russillo: I think that Nick knew as well as anyone else that the brief comeback he had was his last chance and once he was in that submission there was no escape.
James Peters: Agreed. A smart call to tap out right away as that submission could have seriously injured him if he left it applied any longer.

(Sunday Night Voltage fades into show the backstage area of the Philippine Sports Stadium, with the camera situated in a section designated for what appears to be a sit-down interview. Voltage Backstage Interviewer Sofia Clarke is seen in her seat with a smile on her face as she looks at the camera, as it pans toward her.)
Sofia Clarke: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back. Thank you for joining us here tonight as right now I’ve been given the opportunity to have a sitdown interview with one of Sunday Night Voltage’s top stars. Recently having come off of a spectacular title defense on the Wicked Games marquee event against another one of Voltage’s Champions, there is no doubt that this woman has blazed a trail for others to follow as Season 16 continues to unfold. Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guest tonight, the EAW World Champion… Minerva!
(The camera cuts over to show Minerva making her way into the room, she adjusts the mic on her collar as she sits down, greeting Sofia with a smile as she gets herself comfortable. After a moment, Sofia then proceeds to start the interview.)
Sofia Clarke: Thank you for joining us Minerva. I know you have a busy schedule ahead of you and I’m happy you took the time out of your day to conduct this with me :wow:.
Minerva: Thank you for having me, I’m glad I have this opportunity myself because I truly do have a lot to say.
(Minerva gives a sly smirk while Sofia continues.)
Sofia Clarke: Let’s talk first about the obvious, Road To Redemption. As always the staple of the event is the Elimination Chamber, where each of the three brand-exclusive World Championships will be on the line in said six-person matchup. The EAW World Championship is no exception to that, so I’d like to start off by asking your thoughts about the Chamber and more importantly, what this means to you.
Minerva: The EAW World Championship means a lot to me, more than anyone can say for themselves, and that’s shown when you look at how I’ve been at the top of Voltage for as long as I have. It’s not my first taste of World Championship gold at all, but for me, it’s the most memorable, because with this I have the opportunity to truly showcase what a Champion is. That’s not taking away from what I’ve done as Universal Women’s Champion, but to me, that was the only the beginning, the World had not seen a Minerva at her true potential here in EAW. But now? Now, especially with the platform that I have been given, you can. This title reign I’ve had since Pain For Pride XV has undoubtedly been me at my very best, I’ve more than exceeded expectations and brought something to the table not many former Champions can say for themselves. A lot of people have tried to bring me down despite that warning, my reign has not been short of desperate men and women trying to make the daunting climb to the top of this brand, and as seen… every competitor that I have faced throughout my reign has ended up finding themselves empty handed. But heading into Road To Redemption, I know that the Elimination Chamber will be something else entirely different, something so much more than the Ronan Malosi’s, the Daryl Kinkade’s, and the Charlie Marr’s. Just like they’ve known the task that they’re up against when facing me, I know the task that I’m up against knowing what that hellacious structure can do and better yet, my experience having been in that match before…
Sofia Clarke: I feel like it’s a good time following off of that to talk about Road To Redemption 2021. You were in this same exact match last year, with Drake King defending his EAW World Championship in the Extreme Elimination Chamber. At the time, you were still a part of New Eden, and you worked with Drake to clear out the Chamber. But obviously, the issues that your team had at the time had reached its boiling point, and once that was all done, he stabbed you in the back. He drove that relenting branding iron onto your shoulder, leaving a scarring memory, and took the win for himself right after.
Minerva: Yes, as you said, a scarring memory of the past. But when you talk about that, don’t forget that it was just short of a year ago. In the year of 2022, a lot has changed, the landscape of Voltage has changed, the landscape of EAW has changed, and most importantly… I have changed. I ripped the thorn known as Drake King right out of my side, I have fought my demons, and I have won. I find it quite funny looking back to see the type of woman that I was when I was a part of New Eden. I was like a puppet on a string, waltzing around and doing the puppetmaster’s bidding, and most importantly forgetting about myself. Neglecting my true responsibilities especially when you take into account my National Elite Championship run. But after having months to think about it and people who actually care about me to talk to, here I stand, the true and shameless version of me. Now I enter into the Elimination Chamber not to help someone else win, but to make sure that *I* win, and I plan to do whatever it takes to this time be the Elitist that walks out of the Chamber with the EAW Championship. It’s truly a full circle moment for me to have the chance to compete in this match again, this time as Champion, and whoever else ends up in the match alongside me will get a front row seat to witness just how much has changed since Road To Redemption 2021.
Sofia Clarke: Speaking of the participants in this year’s EAW World Championship Elimination Chamber, let’s talk about it. Last week, Captain Charisma announced the first person that will be joining you in the Chamber, and that is none other than TLA. Now with him looking to announce another one tonight, the lineup for this match is certainly heating up. What is your thought process as everything begins to unfold here on Voltage?
Minerva: Yes, TLA is an inclusion in this match that has truly enticed me. Two-time World Champion, he’s someone that shouldn’t be slept on as he looks to capture a third. But, despite that, and despite whoever else is going to be in this match, I am still unwavering in my confidence when it comes to my chances of winning in the Elimination Chamber. In fact, I’m not just confident in that, but I *know* that there is no other Elitist on the Voltage roster that will go to the same lengths that I have in order to pick up the victory. That’s not something that has been left unchallenged either, no, not at all. Poor Charlie Marr had to find that out the hard way when I beat him two weeks ago in a match that had a stipulation he’s competed with all year. If you want to go back further, Daryl Kinkade and Ronan Malosi saw the same thing and since then haven’t even tried to come back for seconds. But even then, I look at that list and although I am quite satisfied with the fact that I have gotten this far, nearing the six month mark of my reign, I’m not satisfied with what I’ve done just yet. Thankfully, the Elimination Chamber can do just that for me, and at Road To Redemption I plan to pick up the biggest victory of my Championship reign.
Sofia Clarke: Are there any final thoughts that you have toward the potential opponents that you have along with TLA? I know that there’s probably going to be a point in the near future where you meet all of them face-to-face, but I just wanted to give you the opportunity before we close this interview out.
Minerva: Not really, but I do want to give them the same warning that I have given everyone else, so that when it happens I can’t be blamed for not doing so. Everyone that has tried to challenge my integrity and my reign has ended up failing, each and every time I somehow get what I want out of a situation, and I will not stop until I do so. The years that I have been here I have showcased my dominance, and I have never slowed down one bit. You can ask anyone on this roster, and they can tell you themselves. So with myself in what I have mentioned to be my best state, I can tell you right now that no matter who I’m speaking to, what has always remained will continue to stay true. The universal image of every EAW World Championship defense that I have will be the same one that happens at Road To Redemption, with six people walking into the Chamber, only one of them will come out on top… me.
Sofia Clarke: Minerva, thank you for joining us.

Rich Russillo: Last week, these three discussed their frustrations about this season. How they aren’t given the respect they think they deserve and how Captain Charisma puts them in danger. Eden Sinclair assembled them all together last week, so let’s see how they do!
James Peters: One matchup that I am really looking forward to is Ronan and Daryl seeing how most of Ronan’s problems stem from his match with Daryl at Wicked Games.
(‘Ambitionz az a Ridah’ by Tupac hits, as the crowd gives off a loud mixed reaction to TLA and Daryl Kinkade who step out onto the stage. Before long, ‘Praise The Lord’ by Bandokay replaces the song, as Charlie Marr walks out on his own. The three look out towards the arena, then make their way down the entrance ramp and towards the ring.)
Bella Braxton: And their opponents!! At a combined weight of 675lbs!!! THE TEAM OF TLA!!! CHARLIE MARR!! AND DARYL KINKADE!!!
Rich Russillo: And when we talk about Eden Sinclair, I can’t help but notice these three are three that haven’t particularly been on Eden’s best side this season.
James Peters: We’ll see if Eden’s team can do her dirty work.. However, with the Hardcore Champion, TLA, and Kinkade.. That’s something easier said than done.
(DING! DING! DING!)
Rich Russillo: There’s the bell, and this one is underway! It looks like Ronan Malosi is starting off this match for Eden’s team while TLA is starting it off for the other.
James Peters: Both men make their way to the center of the ring, as TLA begins to get on his toes and circle around while looking for an angle on the much larger Ronan Malosi.
Rich Russillo: I don’t think TLA is going to get the angle he is looking for though, because Ronan is making it a point to stay square with him by rotating while TLA is shuffling his feet around him..
Persephone: BUT TLA ATTACKS HEAD ON, AS HE DELIVERS A LOW DROPKICK TO THE KNEE CAP THAT DROPS RONAN DOWN TO A KNEE!!
James Peters: TLA THEN FOLLOWS UP WITH THE SWAG SHOT!! TLA WITH THE PIMP SLAP RIGHT ACROSS RONAN’S FACE!!! The sound of TLA’s palm smacking against Ronan’s face was so loud just now, that we could almost feel it here at the commentary table!
Rich Russillo: Ronan’s head is turned all the way off to the side, as he stays down on that knee. TLA quickly turns around and runs to the far ropes!! La Pantera Sexual hits the ropes, then rebounds back…
James Peters: BUT RONAN POPS HIM UP!!!! THEN SLAMS HIM BACK DOWN WITH A POP UP POWERBOMB!!!! INCREDIBLE STRENGTH ON DISPLAY BY MALOSI!!!
Persephone: The back of TLA’s head hit the canvas of the ring with tremendous force, so you know it has to be ringing right now!
Rich Russillo: TLA slowly turns onto his hands and knees now, as he tries to get up to his feet.. BUT MALOSI DROPS AN ELBOW DOWN INTO THE CENTER OF TLA’S SPINE, AND THAT CAUSES TLA TO DROP DOWN TO THE RING MAT!!!
James Peters: Malosi now grabs TLA, and brings him up to his feet. He then gets a tight grip on TLA’s head, then walks him over to the corner before tossing him back first against the turnbuckles!!!
Rich Russillo: And what’s this?! Ronan Malosi wraps TLA’s arm over the top rope, and pulls it behind La Pantera Sexual’s back!!! That’s a version of the hammerlock.. AND MALOSI BEGINS TO FIRE AWAY WITH OPEN GUT PUNCHES!!!! OVER AND OVER AGAIN, IT’S MALOSI WHO CONTINUES DELIVERING THESE STRIKES THAT TLA IS UNABLE TO DEFEND AGAINST!!!
Persephone: And look! It’s the referee trying to get this fight from out of the corner, as he begins to count. Meanwhile, Ronan continues his strikes against TLA!!
Referee: One.. Two.. Three.. Four.. Fi-
James Peters: And just like that, Ronan steps back from the corner with his arms raised up. He looks at the referee for a brief moment.. THEN CHARGES RIGHT BACK AT TLA!!!
Rich Russillo: VERY MEXICAN UPPERCUT!!! RONAN MALOSI JUST GOT HIT RIGHT UNDERNEATH THE CHIN, AS HIS HEAD SNAPPED ALL THE WAY BACK!!
James Peters: And now look! Ronan staggers back for a few steps, then begins to blink profusely, as that uppercut surely caught him off guard!! Malosi then shakes his head as he attempts to shake out some stars he’s been seeing, and then goes right back towards TLA!!!
Rich Russillo: RIGHT HOOK BY MALOSI!!!
Persephone: But TLA ducks underneath the arm!!
James Peters: LEFT HOOK BY MALOSI!!!
Persephone: But again, it’s TLA who ducks underneath the arm!!!
Rich Russillo: ANOTHER RIGHT HOOK BY MALOSI-
James Peters: NO!! TLA GETS HIS ARM UP AND BLOCKS THE PUNCH!! He then tosses Ronan’s arm down, then.. IT’S TLA WITH A RIGHT HOOK!! LEFT JAB!!! RIGHT UPPERCUT!!! LEFT HOOK TO THE BODY!!! RIGHT HOOK TO THE BODY!!!! ANOTHER RIGHT HOOK!! NOW A LEFT HOOK ACROSS THE FACE!!! AND A VERY MEXICAN UPPERCUT THAT DROPS RONAN RIGHT DOWN INTO A SEATED POSITION NEAR THE CENTER OF THE RING!!! WOW WHAT A SEQUENCE FROM TLA!!!
Rich Russillo: That’s something most people seem to forget. TLA is by far one of the most elite and talented strikers in the history of EAW. If you’re trying to spar in any way with TLA and strikes come into play, you might as well just accept defeat because TLA’s hands are something else!!
Persephone: While Ronan Malosi is sitting down on the ring mat, TLA makes his way over to his corner to make the tag to Daryl Kinkade!!

Rich Russillo: And now here comes Daryl Kinkade!! Ronan and Daryl are quite familiar with the other so this should get pretty interesting!!
James Peters: You have that absolutely right, Rich. Ronan had a lot to say about how it wasn’t fair how the fans could bring the weapons for their match at Wicked Games, because the fans have always been jealous of him and his looks. Well right now he has the chance to prove himself as he has Daryl Kinkade in the ring with him. And as you can see, Daryl is making his way around the body of Ronan Malosi so that he can position himself right behind him… And now that Daryl is there, he.. BLASTS RONAN MALOSI IN THE BACK WITH A POWERFUL SOCCER-ESQUE KICK!!!! Ronan Malosi screams out in pain, as that one had to sting!!!
Persephone: Yeah, Ronan Malosi is laying flat against the canvas of the ring now, and Daryl Kinkade doesn’t hesitate to remain on the attack. He’s taking advantage of Ronan Malosi who has used up much more energy in the early stages of this match. Kinkade lifts Ronan up to his feet…
Rich Russillo: ROUNDHOUSE KICK!!! WOW DARYL KINKADE JUST SPANKED RONAN MALOSI’S FACE WITH THE LACES ON HIS BOOT!!!! Malosi stumbles over and crashes back first against the corner turnbuckles!!!
James Peters: Malosi definitely needs a breather here or just some time to recover.. BUT IT’S KINKADE WHO RUSHES IN AND DELIVERS A RUNNING EUROPEAN UPPERCUT TO RONAN MALOSI IN THE CORNER!!!! Malosi slams back against the turnbuckles!!!
Persephone: Daryl now grabs Ronan by the head, then walks him out towards the center of the ring. What’s this that he’s doing? Oh!! He’s wrapping his arm around Ronan’s head in what looks like a Reverse Facelock!!!
Rich Russillo: Oh no!! This isn’t going to be good for Ronan Malosi here!
James Peters: HEADLOCK DRIVER!!!
Rich Russillo: NO!! RONAN MALOSI MANAGES TO POP HIS HEAD FROM OUT OF DARYL KINKADE’S ARMS!!!
James Peters: And not only that, but Ronan Malosi wraps his arms around Kinkade’s body!!! GERMAN SUPLEX BY RONAN MALOSI!!!! DARYL KINKADE JUST CRASHED AGAINST THE CANVAS OF THE RING!!!
Persephone: Ronan Malosi manages to get up to his feet pretty quick, then runs over to the far ropes!! He hits the ropes, and rebounds back towards Daryl Kinkade who has just gotten to his feet!!!
Rich Russillo: RUNNING LARIAT BY RONAN MALOSI!!!!!
James Peters: IT CONNECTS!! WOW WHAT A LARIAT THAT WAS!!! RONAN PUT ALL OF HIS WEIGHT INTO THAT ONE, AND MANAGED TO FLIP DARYL KINKADE IN MID AIR WITH THAT LARIAT!!!
Rich Russillo: Ronan Malosi is down on his hands and knees after that powerful running lariat while Daryl is laying flat on the ring mat. Malosi looks over his shoulders and sees Kinkade down. He immediately uses this opportunity to work up to his feet, and make his way over to his corner to tag in Sierra Everett!!

Persephone: Oh she isn’t entering the ring! Instead she’s choosing to climb up and onto the top turnbuckle!!
James Peters: She’s definitely taking quite the risk by doing this, but if she can execute this well, this could be huge for her and her team!! She’s getting in position and looking down at Daryl Kinkade!!! He has yet to make any major movements since getting taken down by Ronan Malosi, so hopefully for her, she can execute whatever she is going for! Here she goes!! Everett leaps into the air!!
Rich Russillo: FROG SPLASH BY SIERRA EVERETT!!! IT CONNECTS!!! SIERRA JUST FLATTENED DARYL KINKADE JUST NOW, AND STAYS COVERING HIM FOR THE PIN!!!!

James Peters: Sierra Everett quickly gets back up to her feet, and grabs Daryl Kinkade by the head and hair. She brings him up to his feet, and.. KNEE STRIKE TO THE ABDOMEN!!! ANOTHER!! AND ANOTHER!!! That last one just dropped Kinkade down to a knee, as he clutches at his stomach in pain!!
Rich Russillo: And while he’s down on that knee, Sierra Everett rushes over to the side ropes, and rebounds back towards Kinkade!!! Daryl slowly rises to his feet…
Persephone: RUNNING KNEE TO THE FACE BY SIERRA EVERETT!!!
James Peters: NO!! KINKADE SPINS OUT OF THE WAY JUST IN TIME, AND ENDS UP BEHIND SIERRA EVERETT!!! HE HOOKS HER ARMS AND HEAD!!! SNAP DRAGON SUPLEX!!!!!!
Rich Russillo: WOW WHAT A MOVE BY DARYL KINKADE!! This will definitely buy him a little bit of time to recover and plan out his next move! Sierra Everett is down, clutching the back of her head and neck, Daryl slowly works up to his hands and knees.
James Peters: These two Elitists are definitely hurting out there, but somehow they manage to fight through the pain in order to endure some more!! Everett has made it up to her feet with the assistance of the side ropes, as Daryl has just made it to his. The two approach each other, as Daryl goes for a step up Enziguri!!!
Persephone: NO!!! SIERRA EVERETT DUCKED UNDERNEATH THE LEG, AS DARYL KINKADE LANDED FACE DOWN ONTO THE MAT!!!
Rich Russillo: And look at this!!! While Daryl is down, it’s Sierra Everett who grabs at his legs and positions herself to lock in the… THE BOSTON CRAB!!! SIERRA EVERETT HAS THE BOSTON CRAB LOCKED IN, AND DARYL CAN’T HELP BUT TO YELL OUT IN PAIN!!!!
James Peters: Kinkade is working his way over to the bottom ropes! He isn’t giving up just yet! However, Sierra is doing everything that she can to put this one away!! Applying more and more pressure onto that lower back to increase the pain!! Sierra is going for the victory!!!
Persephone: But Daryl is going for the ropes!!! He reaches out!!!! AND HE GRABS IT!!! DARYL KINKADE GRABS THE BOTTOM ROPE, AND FORCES THE ROPE BREAK!!!
Rich Russillo: But releasing that Boston Crab is the last thing that Sierra Everett wants to do, and so she doesn’t!!! Instead she applies even more pressure than before!!! The referee has no choice but to start counting!!!
Referee: One.. Two.. Three.. Four.. Fiv-
James Peters: And just like that, Sierra Everett releases her Boston Crab!! Kinkade is in tremendous pain, as he lays down on the ring mat. Meanwhile, Everett looks towards her corner. She makes her way over to her team, then tags in Candice Blair!!!

Persephone: Here comes Candice Blair!! She enters right through the ropes and approaches Daryl Kinkade. He’s still down, but it’s Blair who grabs him and brings him up to his feet!
James Peters: CHOP TO THE CHEST BY CANDICE!!! ANOTHER!!! AND ANOTHER!! Each chop seems to be making Daryl’s chest even more red than the last chop did. She is really smacking her hand against his body, and the effects are clear for everyone to see right now!
Rich Russillo: Yeah, that does not look pleasant or comfortable at all. Kinkade clutches at his chest in pain, as Candice Blair grabs him by the wrist and whips him over to the side ropes!! Kinkade hits the ropes, then rebounds back!!
Persephone: SPINNING WHEEL!!! THAT’S THE SPINNING WHEEL KICK ACROSS THE FACE OF A RUNNING DARYL KINKADE!!! CANDICE BLAIR HIT THAT ONE WITH PRECISION, AND NOW IT’S KINKADE WHO HAS DROPPED DOWN TO A KNEE!!!
Rich Russillo: Candice Blair makes her way over to Daryl now and grabs him by the head before delivering a strong forearm smash across the face!!! Again!! And again!! Candice Blair now hooks Daryl’s head in a front facelock, then pulls him up to his feet!! What is this that she’s going for?!?
James Peters: CANDICE BLAIR WITH THE SNAP SUPLEX!!!
Persephone: NO!!! DARYL KINKADE IS ABLE TO PULL HIS WEIGHT DOWN, AND NOW SHE’S STRUGGLING!!!
Rich Russillo: AND LOOK!! DARYL KINKADE POPS HIS HEAD OUT, AND GRABS A HOLD OF CANDICE BLAIR!!! HE LIFTS HER UP!!! THEN SLAMS HER HEAD FIRST INTO THE CANVAS OF THE RING WITH THE HAIL TO THE VICTOR!!! PUMP HANDLE PILEDRIVER BY DARYL KINKADE CONNECTS!!!! Candice Blair looks completely out of it, and.. AND KINKADE GOES FOR THE PIN!!!

SHE’S TRYING TO PULL HIM BACK TOWARDS THE CENTER OF THE RING, BUT HE MANAGES TO POP UP ONTO ONE LEG!!! Kinkade is hopping on one leg, as he rotates.. Rich Russillo: AND TAGS IN CHARLIE MARR!!!! Marr rushes into the ring, as we all know he has been waiting to get into this one! He makes his way over to Candice Blair, and grabs her from off of the canvas of the ring. He brings Blair up to her feet, and gets a tight grip on her head!! HEADBUTT BY CHARLIE MARR!!!
Persephone: Candice drops down to her knees, but Marr still keeps a tight grip on her head. He uses that grip to once again deliver a powerful headbutt!! Candice Blair is nearly out of it right now, as Charlie pulls her back to her feet, and whips her across the ring and towards the far ropes!! Blair hits the ropes, then rebounds back!!
James Peters: RUNNING KNEE LIFT BY CHARLIE MARR!! HE JUST CAUGHT HER IN THE MIDSECTION, AS SHE TUMBLES AND FLIPS OVER HIS KNEE AFTER CONNECTING WITH IT!! Blair is down in a seated position in the center of the ring after that painful knee strike!!
Rich Russillo: And while she’s in a seated position, we can see Charlie quickly getting behind her, squatting low, and wrapping his arms around her head and neck in order to lock in a rear naked choke!!!
Persephone: Candice Blair is trying to pry off this grip from the rear naked choke!! However, Charlie Marr is just so strong and hardcore, that he’s putting everything into this submission with the hopes that Candice Blair will submit right here and now!!!
James Peters: We can see Candice Blair gasping for air, as she tries to pry off the grip!! But look!! Charlie Marr presses his knee up against Candice’s spine while still having this rear naked choke locked in!!! He’s pulling back on her head and neck with the hope that he can get her to tap out!!! James Peters: BUT FROM OUT OF NOWHERE, IT’S DARYL KINKADE WHO RUSHES IN AND SLAMS RONAN MALOSI DOWN TO THE CANVAS OF THE RING WITH A JUMPING REVERSE STO!!
Rich Russillo: We are witnessing some true fireworks and explosions left and right currently. Malosi just rolled out of the ring and to the ringside floor, as Daryl stared at him before making his way back into his corner.
Persephone: Charlie Marr works back up to his feet, as he makes his way over to Candice Blair. She’s down on the canvas, but he reaches down to grab her by the head and hair. He brings her up to her feet.. BUT CANDICE WITH A STRONG FOREARM SMASH ACROSS CHARLIE’S FACE!!!
James Peters: Charlie Marr staggers back, as Candice winds up.. ALMOST THERE!!!! DISCUS CLOTHESLINE BY CANDICE BLAIR!!!!!
Rich Russillo: NO!!! Marr ducks underneath the arm, as Candice goes running to the ropes behind him!! She hits the ropes and rebounds back towards Charlie Marr who is just now turning around!!!

Daryl Kinkade join TLA in the center of the ring where they celebrate their hard earned victory, meanwhile Charlie stands on his own as he holds up his Hardcore Championship. On the outside of the ring, we see The Ice Aces laughing at Sierra Everett, Candice Blair, and Ronan Malosi inside of the ring.)
Bella Braxton: Here are your winners!!! TLA!!! CHARLIE MARR!!! AND DARYL KINKADE!!!!
James Peters: This was a great match with six talented individuals, but it seems like any team assembled by Eden Sinclair is going to have to hear it from the Ice Aces.
Rich Russillo: This has been a back and forth rivalry for months, and there was no way the Ice Aces were going to let Sierra, Ronan, or Candice gain any momentum while working for Eden.
Persephone: On top of that, with the talent they had to face tonight, it was going to be difficult to defeat TLA, Charlie, and Daryl regardless. The Ice Aces just neutralized the playing field by offsetting all of the cheap tricks and tactics Eden’s team have been using throughout the match.
Rich Russillo: I’m excited for what’s going to happen next for these six. With emotions and rivalries brewing up as we head into Road to Redemption, anything and everything can happen!
(The screen shows TLA, Charlie, and Daryl celebrating in the center of the ring, as Ronan Malosi joins Sierra Everett and Candice Blair on the outside. The Ice Aces stand before them on the entrance ramp, as those six stare at one another before the screen fades elsewhere.)
(Voltage opens up inside the office of Eden Sinclair and Captain Charisma. The two are seen sitting at their own desks, while making plans for the following weeks. We are getting closer and closer to one of the biggest events of the year, Road to Redemption, so you already know that Captain Charisma is as focused as ever to deliver for Voltage yet again. He’s so focused, that a sudden knock on the door startles him, and causes him to drop his pen down onto the ground. Captain Charisma combs his fingers through his hair, clears his throat, then reaches down to grab the pen.)
Captain Charisma: You can come in!
(Captain Charisma sits upright in his chair, as we see Eden Sinclair sitting back in hers, and looking towards the doorway. After a moment, the door slowly opens up, and from there we see that the person who was knocking is none other than Dr. Doyle. Doyle steps into the office with a concerned look on his face. He’s obviously worried about something. His appearance says it all. Just looking at his eyes, you can see that they are low and staring down at the ground. He looks defeated like he doesn’t know what to do, but that’s why he’s here. Doyle shuts the door behind him, as he makes his way towards the center of the room.)
Captain Charisma: Hello Dr. Doyle. Fancy seeing you here tonight.
Dr. Doyle: Oh yes. I’m sorry if I interrupted anything important due to this being so abrupt, but this will only take a moment of your time. You see, I’ve been thinking over these past few weeks, and I’m starting to believe that maybe this isn’t the right path for Samael to take..
Captain Charisma: What path are you talking about, Dr. Doyle?
Dr. Doyle: The path and life of an EAW Elitist.. I’m thinking that the best thing for Samael would be to pull him from the roster entirely, as the company and Samael go their separate ways.
Eden Sinclair: What? Why is that?
Dr. Doyle: You see, ever since Samael arrived to EAW, his condition and his control over all of his personalities has only gotten worse as time has gone by. For months we have witnessed Samael snap into chaotic episodes that still have no answers as to how or why they get triggered.. It worries me deeply, because we have all witnessed that he has gotten increasingly more violent, and with that comes so many innocent beings put into danger each and every week that Samael is scheduled to be here on Voltage.. Drake King, Dr. Bethany Blue, Theron Nikolas… Who else? Who else needs to endure the wrath of Samael before we deem him too dangerous to remain in this company? I’m concerned for him and I’m concerned for everyone else. With all of the ambushes and backstage attacks, I don’t know how much more I can handle. I’m just watching Samael deteriorate before my eyes, as I witness him becoming more and more of a monster each and every day.. This isn’t how things were supposed to go, and it just doesn’t seem like anything is going right for Samael right now..
Eden Sinclair: I don’t believe releasing Samael anytime soon would be good for either party in all honesty. It’s just not the right move at all, and definitely not an idea that I support.
Captain Charisma: Me neither. Look Dr. Doyle, everything should be fine. Trust me. There is absolutely no need to worry whatsoever. I mean, honestly just look at what this company has brought Samael and what he has worked for already in his young career. He’s the current 24/7 Contract Holder with the opportunity to do even greater things with his career. Just with that contract alone, he has a title match whenever he wants. Who wouldn’t enjoy having that type of an opportunity and power in the palm of their hands? The answer to that is nobody, but what’s crazy about that statement is that Samael has the potential to achieve even more than that too. You see, If you pull him out now, you’d only be taking away the chance of him accomplishing all that he is capable of in a sport that he seems to enjoy. In a sport that he seems to excel at..
Eden Sinclair: On top of that, Samael represents the mental health community. He is their Hero, and also sheds a light on multiple personality disorder. This is something that Disney has made an effort to do in the past with Moon Knight. It just wouldn’t be fair for the kids who struggle with mental health. For Samael to just walk away after all that he has done for them would just be awful. They need him more than any of us could ever imagine, and there is no way that we could allow for someone with such an image to just walk away.
Captain Charisma: And I’m thinking about Samael and his benefits here too, because I doubt him leaving this company would be good for him at all either. Mentally, physically, or emotionally.
(Dr. Doyle shrugs his shoulders, then sighs.)
Dr. Doyle: You know.. You two definitely have a point. Samael does seem to have a love for the sport and has enjoyed being a part of it so far. It’s been a great way for him to let out some steam and energy. With all of those personalities to deal with, I can see how mentally frustrating it must be to not have control over your own mind one hundred percent of the time. I can’t take this away from him. In a way, this sport may be what’s preventing those backstage attacks from being way worse than they’ve been.. If I were to take away this sport, I don’t know how he would respond, so I’d rather not take THAT risk.. At least here there is security to help me when things go wrong..
Captain Charisma: Exactly!
Dr. Doyle: Oh, and while we’re at it. I might as well get things situated for Samael at Road to Redemption. He already won the 24/7 Battle Royal back at Pain for Pride, so I suppose I can enter Samael into the Extreme Enigma Memorial Match if there are any openings left.
Captain Charisma: That’s a great idea and all, but I actually had an even bigger opportunity in mind.
Dr. Doyle: Even bigger??
Captain Charisma: Yeah. After watching him pick up the victory in his match against Daryl Kinkade, who gave Minerva a hell of a challenge at Rise of the Resistance, last week, I couldn’t help but acknowledge that Samael would be a great addition for this year’s Voltage Elimination Chamber at Road to Redemption. We’re still in the process of finding the best talent to compete in the Chamber for us this year, but one thing’s for sure.. I definitely want Samael to have one of the remaining spots. He’d be the perfect fit for that type of a match due to the type of energy I know he can bring.
(Dr. Doyle’s eyes light up, as he gasps for a quick moment. The idea of Samael locked inside of a chamber doesn’t sit well with Dr. Doyle at all since he understands just how violent Samael could be in there. In no way, shape, or form could this be good for Samael’s issues, but Dr. Doyle releases a deep and calming breath knowing that no matter how concerned he is, neither Eden Sinclair or Captain Charisma will turn away from this idea. They are pretty sold on the talent and potential Samael has for himself and the relationship between Disney and the Mental Health Community. On top of that, it simply wouldn’t be fair to pull Samael away from an opportunity that was awarded to him due to his previous efforts in the ring. Dr. Doyle really has no choice but to agree to allowing Samael to obtain a spot in the Elimination Chamber.)
Dr. Doyle: That sounds like a wonderful idea and an incredible opportunity for my client. Thank you for your time, and for clearing a few things up for me. I really want what is best for Samael, and if this is what makes him the happiest, then I see no problem in letting him continue on while he’s enjoying his time here.
Captain Charisma: Glad to have helped. If you have any more questions or concerns don’t hesitate to stop right in. Have a great rest of your day, Dr. Doyle.
Dr. Doyle: Thanks! You as well!
(Dr. Doyle turns around and opens up the door to the office. He then steps through the door, as he makes his way into the hallway, then shuts the door behind him. We see Eden Sinclair and Captain Charisma looking at one another from their desks before looking back at their planning sheets, and getting deep into their work like the past five minutes never even happened. Voltage eventually fades elsewhere.)
(As Voltage returns to ringside, ‘Good For Her’ by MOTHICA featuring emlyn can be heard playing in the background as Cameron Ella Ava sits down next to the commentary team, having stagehands hook her up with a headset.)
James Peters: Well, Cameron, I’d like to thank you for joining us this evening on commentary as we prepare to watch your opponent for Road to Redemption, Hikari Kanno, go at it with Drake King.
Cameron Ella Ava: First of all, I’m happy to be here, and well, this match should be interesting to say the least.
(The camera cuts to Bella Braxton in the ring.)
Bella Braxton: THE FOLLOWING CONTEST IS SCHEDULED FOR… ONE FALL!!
Crowd: ONE FALL!!
(‘As Long As I Love’ TK from Ling Tosite Sigure gets a mixed reaction from fans as Hikari Kanno makes her way onto the stage, looking around, and beginning her walk to the ring, determination etched across her face ahead of this big match with King, knowing what a win over him can do for a career.)
Bella Braxton: Introducing first! Hailing out of Okinawa, Japan, weighing in at 121 pounds…SHE IS JAPAN’S JEWEL…HIKARI KANNO!!
James Peters: Welp, there she is, Hikari Kanno, who didn’t have very good words to say about you this week.
Cameron Ella Ava: :mjgrin: My feelings are hurt.
Persephone: I’m sorry to hear that.
James Peters: Pers- the clear sarcasm aside, I just hope Hikari realizes tonight isn’t about you, and is more so about toppling Drake King.
(Hikari enters the ring, and looks out at Cameron on the outside, who sarcastically waves with a smile on her face. Just then, “Cold War” by Hans Zimmer plays out Drake King, who has an icy glare, along with a look of stoicism and pure disdain on his face. The crowd, as expected, pours down upon with boos, but Drake pays them no mind while walking down to the ring.)
Bella Braxton: And her opponent! Residing out of The Dead Sea, Israel, weighing in at 220 pounds…HE IS THE END OF THE WORLD…DRAKE KING!!
Rich Russillo: While Hikari Kanno didn’t have the nicest words to say about you, Cameron, neither did Drake, who is not a fan of you being on commentary.
Cameron Ella Ava: Well, that’s too bad, because I’m here, whether anyone likes it or not.
Persephone: Drake isn’t an elitist to often get his own way.
James Peters: Which can make him- in the eyes of some, even more insufferable. But after last week, he’s become far more off the rails.
Rich Russillo: I’m simultaneously scared, and intrigued by what Drake King could possibly have in store. When his mind is set on something, he isn’t one to give up.
(Drake takes off his jacket, and hands it off, staring down Hikari from the opposite corner.)
(DING! DING! DING!)
James Peters: The bell has rung, this match is officially underway. Hikari Kanno. Drake King. These two are no stranger to one another, having teamed at Territorial Invasion, even teaming at Rise of the Resistance. But make no mistake about it, these two are not friends. After all, Drake doesn’t have any, not after revealing his new plan to the world last week.
Cameron Ella Ava: First, he wants to save the company. Now? He wants to destroy it. Drake didn’t succeed the first go around, I don’t think he’ll succeed the second one either.
Rich Russillo: Fair. But turning our attention to the in-ring action, both Drake King and Hikari Kanno circle one another before locking up in the center, albeit briefly as King quickly grabs Kanno in a standing side headlock, going down to a knee, and wrenching on the hold further, bringing Hikari down to a knee as well.
James Peters: That’s smart on the end of Drake King, making it harder for Kanno to escape. She’s trying to pry her way out of the hold, but Drake just tightens his grip, keeping firm control over his opponent. Finally, Hikari powers back to her feet, and bounces Drake off the ropes to escape her predicament. OOH! A kitchen sink by Kanno sends Drake King down to a seated position, holding his abdomen in agony.
Rich Russillo: Hikari lays him flat on the canvas for a jumping knee right to the face! Drake scrambles back to his feet, and HIKARI GOES TO TAKE HIS HEAD OFF WITH A ROUNDHOUSE KICK, BUT DRAKE DUCKS UNDERNEATH IT! King goes to capitalize, BUT KANNO MAINTAINS CONTROL WITH A BACK KICK TO THE MIDSECTION! Hikari Irish whips Drake off the ropes, AND HE RUNS RIGHT INTO A BIG BOOT!
James Peters: Hikari wastes no time in hooking the leg on Drake!
ONNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEE!!
James Peters: Only a one count. Remember, we’re still early on into this thing, and with the caliber of elitists that Drake King and Hikari Kanno are, it’s gonna take a lot more than that to put him away. Drake gets to a knee, favoring his jaw, which got caught flush with that boot. But from behind, Hikari Kanno wraps her arms around his waist, possibly wanting a German suplex. But Drake grabs hold of the ropes, successfully blocking the maneuver, and using them to get back to his feet.
Persephone: Hikari is trying to pry him away from the ropes, but given Drake’s strength advantage, I don’t think that’s going to happen.
Rich Russillo: Drake is holding on to that top rope for dear life, and finally gets back on the offensive with a back elbow that spins Hikari around. Drake’s eyes tell the story of gears turning in his head as he charges at Hikari from behind, and sends her out through the middle rope, grabbing the back of her tights, and head for leverage.
James Peters: Hikari gets to both knees ringside, right in front of her opponent for Road to Redemption, Cameron Ella Ava. Kanno uses the apron, and steel steps to pull herself back to a vertical base, staggering back a bit as she’s on wobbly legs. But Hikari needs to watch out as Drake King steps out to the apron, AND DIVES OFF WITH A RUNNING KNEE TO THE SIDE OF HER FACE!
Rich Russillo: Drake King smirks, having Hikari right where he wants her, but refocuses himself back on the task at hand, which is inflicting further punishment on Kanno. Drake grabs a handful of hair as she gets to a knee, and BOUNCES HER DIRECTLY OFF OUR ANNOUNCE TABLE COVER! Drake rolls Hikari back into the ring, and takes a quick glance at Cameron before sliding in after her.
(Cameron Ella Ava just rolls her eyes.)
James Peters: I mean, you gotta understand why Drake is a bit skeptical, in fact, why everyone is a bit skeptical of you ringside. Not everyone is just out here to observe the action as they say.
Cameron Ella Ava: Well, I’m not everyone. If I wanted to attack Hikari, I could’ve done it right there when she was ringside, I could’ve done it during her entrance, but I didn’t, so…
James Peters: I guess that’s understandable.
Cameron Ella Ava: Anyway, why are you so focused on me? I’m out here to observe. I’m out here to commentate. Focus on the match.
James Peters: Speaking of, Drake King stalks Hikari as she uses the ropes in order to get back to her feet. Drake leans Hikari back up against said ropes, and drives his knee straight into her gut, causing Hikari to drop down to all fours. But Drake isn’t done yet, standing Kanno back up, and Irish whipping her off the ropes, keeping hold of the wrist, and driving his knee into her midsection again as she almost rebounds off the opposite set of ropes.
Rich Russillo: Hikari is doubled over, coughing even, having gotten all the wind taken out of her sails. Drake short arms Hikari into a fireman’s carry position, and PLANTS HER IN THE CENTER OF THE RING WITH A GUTBUSTER! Hikari holds her abdominal area, writhing in pain before Drake hooks the leg for a cover!

James Peters: Drake could only get a one count off that gutbuster before Hikari powered out of the pin. Hikari plops back down to her side, and clutches at her gut some more. Drake gets to his feet, and approaches Hikari, lying her flat on the canvas, and delivering a stomp to the midsection, which he holds there, pressing down on while he looks down at Kanno grimacing in pain.
Rich Russillo: That look in the eyes of King, one of absolute sadism, almost enjoying the pain he’s inflicting on Hikari, who he finally lifts his foot off of at the behest of the referee. Drake stares him down momentarily, and helps Hikari to her feet after she gets to a knee, propping her up in the corner.
Persephone: :yikes: Drake drives his shoulder into the gut of Hikari, then proceeds to do it a second time!
James Peters: Hikari is in a world of hurt, and Drake makes it worse, Irish whipping her HARD into the opposite corner! Hikari favors her back, and staggers out of the corner, right into a PENDULUM BACKBREAKER! It’s not often you see that type of offense from King, but right now, his moveset is able to expand, given the size advantage, and given the strength advantage!
Rich Russillo: King makes sure both shoulders are pinned down for a cover!

Rich Russillo: Again, Hikari kicks out, showcasing her fighting spirit, and that’s what you’re gonna have to deal with come Road to Redemption, Cameron.
Cameron Ella Ava: It’s not like I haven’t faced anybody resilient before.
Rich Russillo: Fair point.
James Peters: Hikari seats herself up after that kickout, but Drake wraps his arms around her for a seated rear waistlock, and squeezes tight, almost an inverted bear hug of sorts. Regardless, Hikari grits through the pain, powering back to a vertical base, and reaching out for the top rope, which will force Drake King to break. Drake realizes this, and keeps a firm grasp on Hikari, keeping her just out of reach.
Rich Russillo: She tries to break the hold with a back elbow, but he hangs on, and Hikari delivers another. Drake gets knocked back slightly, but grabs a hold of the back of Hikari’s tights, and pulls her into a northern clothesline! Drake quickly shoots the half for a deep cover!

Rich Russillo: Kickout at two, but Drake isn’t done yet, hooking the leg for another cover!

Rich Russillo: This time, only a two count.
James Peters: Drake gets to his feet, and grabs hold of Hikari’s head, placing her throat first across the middle rope, and pressing down on the back of her neck with his forearm, choking her! The referee intervenes with a five count on Drake.
Referee: ONE! TWO! THREE!
Rich Russillo: Drake scores a forearm smash to the back of Hikari’s neck, and her throat hits against that middle rope. Hikari falls back to the canvas, clutching at her throat, gasping for air. The referee checks on Kanno, meanwhile, Drake takes a moment, surveying the scene, and listening to the audience as they reign down upon him with boos.
Cameron Ella Ava: Their opinions really shouldn’t be bothering anybody.
James Peters: Drake’s right back on the attack, grabbing Hikari by the arm, and looking to pull her up, BUT SHE COUNTERS WITH A CROSS ARMBREAKER, PLAYING POSSUM! BUT DRAKE KING QUICKLY SCRAMBLES TO THE ROPES, GRABBING HOLD OF THE BOTTOM ONE, REALIZING WHAT A DEVASTATING MANEUVER THIS CAN BE!
Referee: ONE! TWO!
Rich Russillo: Hikari releases the hold, and King slides out underneath the bottom rope. Drake King clutches his arm in pain, and doesn’t notice Hikari Kanno, WHO COMES THROUGH THE BOTTOM ROPE WITH A WRECKING BALL DROPKICK TO THE SHOULDER, SENDING HIM FACE FIRST INTO OUR ANNOUNCE TABLE COVER!
James Peters: Drake gets rolled back onto the ring, but his head is hung out over the apron as he lies prone on the canvas. Hikari creates space, lining him up for a RUNNING JUMPING HIGH KNEE TO THE SIDE OF HIS SKULL! Hikari grabs Drake in a front facelock, and hangs him out over the apron for a WHIPLASH NECKBREAKER!
Persephone: Drake might be out after that.
Rich Russillo: He’s limp on the outside, and Hikari picks him back up, rolling King into the ring, which is where Drake shows signs of life, getting to a knee, holding the back of his neck, wincing in pain.
James Peters: Hikari slides in the ring, and is there to meet Drake once he gets to a vertical base, albeit on wobbly legs. Hikari lands a shoot kick to the knee, followed up by a kick to the chest. Drake eats another kick to the side of his knee, and is pushed back into the corner by Kanno, WHO CHARGES INTO HIM WITH A RUNNING EUROPEAN UPPERCUT, JACKING THE JAW OF DRAKE HERE!
Cameron Ella Ava: Hopefully, we won’t have to hear him speak for a few weeks.
Rich Russillo: I wouldn’t be surprised. That hit echoed throughout the arena, Hikari is kicking things into the second gear, and Irish whips Drake to the opposite cor- no! King reverses at the last minute, sending her to the corner instead. King builds a head of steam, but runs right into a REVERSE STO, CAUSING HIM TO COLLIDE FACE FIRST WITH THE MIDDLE TURNBUCKLE!
James Peters: Drake was stunned momentarily, but begins to crawl out of the corner, hoping to create separation as he gets to the center of the ring, but Hikari rushes to roll him over for a lateral press cover!

James Peters: Kickout at two! No surprise, Drake has taken a lot of punishment thus far, and had a glossed over look in his eye while crawling, almost running off pure instinct. Hikari proceeds to muscle Drake up to a vertical base, lifting him from behind. Hikari hammerlocks the arm of King, and tries to sling the other arm over her shoulder for Book of the End.
Rich Russillo: BUT BEFORE SHE CAN, DRAKE FIGHTS OUT OF IT WITH A BACK ELBOW! Hikari stumbles back into the corner, and Drake catches his breath briefly before turning around. King rushes toward Hikari in the corner, but runs right into a boot, which spins him around. King grasps at his jaw while Hikari scales the middle rope. GAMENGIRI! DRAKE SPUN AROUND WITH A GAMENGIRI THAT KNOCKED HIKARI OFF THE TOP ROPE, AND SHE TOOK A TUMBLE RINGSIDE!
Persephone: Ouch. She hit the apron back first on her way down.
James Peters: Say, these two are beating lumps out of each other, are you hoping that Drake can soften up maybe a body part of Hikari, giving you an advantage going into Road to Redemption.
Cameron Ella Ava: Wouldn’t hurt.
Rich Russillo: Drake watches as Hikari picks herself up ringside, and RUNS OFF THE ROPES, SOARING THROUGH THE MIDDLE WITH A SUICIDE DIVE! Hikari collided back first into the barricade, and he pulls her by the hair before sliding Kanno back into the ring.
James Peters: There was malice behind that attack from King, who once again is back to stalking Hikari Kanno as she slowly gets back to her feet, this time from the apron. Hikari’s in a bad way, Drake could be closing in on a victory here as he SPRINGS OFF THE TOP ROPE FOR A KNEE STRIKE, HITTING HIKARI SQUARE ON THE SIDE OF HER FACE! That’s where the knee from earlier hit!
Rich Russillo: Drake rolls through to a vertical base, halting his momentum in the corner where he stalks Hikari again as she gets to a vertical base. Every move of Drake King is being meticulously thought out here as she gets taken back down with a RUNNING SLINGBLADE! Cover by Drake, hooking BOTH legs!

James Peters: Still, King can only muster a kickout at two. Drake sits up, pondering his next move, wondering what more he’ll have to do to put Hikari away.
Rich Russillo: He might’ve got an idea as he pulls her up in a front facelock. Drake is setting her up for a suplex of sorts, and tries to get Hikari up for it, but she drops to a knee, holding her weight down, and effectively blocking the suplex attempt. This frustrates King, who stands up for a STIFF FOREARM SMASH, which stuns her for the suplex now- no! Hikari continues to block it, and Drake connects with another forearm strike to the jaw!
James Peters: Hikari fires back with one of her own, stunning King momentarily, but he returns fire with another forearm! FOREARM BY KANNO! FOREARM BY KING! KANNO! KING! Drake has effectively shut down Hikari’s attempt at a rally, hammering her with repeated forearms to the face. King creates a bit of space, and spins around for a discus elbow! STEP-UP ENZIGURI BY KANNO!
Rich Russillo: Drake is still on his feet, and Hikari tries to take him down with a clothesline, BUT HE DUCKS UNDERNEATH, TRANSITIONING TO A RIPCORD KNEE STRIKE! That drops Hikari to all fours, and Drake places her head between his legs for a buckle bomb it looks like. But before he can pick up steam, but Hikari slips off his shoulders, AND STAGGERS HIM BACK INTO THE CORNER WITH A ROUNDHOUSE KICK!
Persephone: She almost took Drake’s head off!
James Peters: Hikari charges in! BUT DRAKE GETS THE BOOT UP- WAIT, HIKARI CATCHES IT, AND TURNS IT TO A LEG CAUGHT GERMAN SUPLEX, LAUNCHING DRAKE TO CENTER OF THE RING, GETTING DUMPED HIGH ON HIS HEAD AND NECK!
Cameron Ella Ava: That’s gotta hurt. :mjgrin:
Rich Russillo: Hikari lines Drake up from the corner, watching as he slowly gets to a knee, and perhaps giving you a glimpse into your future. HIKARI RUNS FULL STEAM AHEAD, BUT DRAKE CATCHES HER IN A POWERBOMB POSITION, AND LAUNCHES HER INTO THE CORNER WITH A BUCKLE BOMB! He tried it earlier, but this time, he actually pulled it off. Hikari collapses to all fours off impact, and begins crawling toward King in the center.
James Peters: Hikari could be out of it, and Drake picks her up in a front facelock, TRANSITIONING TO A FALCON’S ARROW, AND HOOKS THE LEG OF KANNO FOR A UNIQUE PINNING PREDICAMENT!

Drake has a dangerous look in his eye, ready to put Hikari away, and I think we all know the move he’ll use to do it. Judgement Day has put away so many talents before, and Hikari might wind up one of them as she gets to all fours.
James Peters: DRAKE BUILDS MOMENTUM FOR THE STOMP, BUT HIKARI HAD ENOUGH WHEREWITHAL TO COUNTER, SLIPPING BEHIND KING FOR A SNAP DRAGON SUPLEX, AND BRIDGES IT FOR THE COVER!

Persephone: As if Drake’s neck hasn’t already been through abuse!
Cameron Ella Ava: That’ll be one of the moves to watch out for at Road to Redemption, I don’t fancy getting dumped on my head. But then again, I’ll probably do the same to her if given the chance.
James Peters: Strong words. But Hikari picks Drake up from behind, and we saw her attempt this earlier, but she’s gonna try it a second time, hammerlocking the arm of Drake King, and gets him on her shoulder for Book of the End!

James Peters: Don’t think she’s gonna answer that question right now, Persephone, having just gotten taken down inadvertently by Kanno. Who- speaking of, shows signs of life, driving Drake back first into the apron! King gets rolled back into the ring, BUT FROM BEHIND!
Rich Russillo: FROM BEHIND COMES AN IRATE CAMERON ELLA AVA, BLINDSIDING HIKARI WITH A RUNNING FOREARM TO THE BACK OF HER HEAD AS SHE WAS GOING TO RE-ENTER THE RING!

James Peters: REFEREE HAD NO CHOICE BUT TO RING THE BELL AS THIS MATCH HAS GONE TO A NO CONTEST! Hikari gets grabbed in a front facelock by Cameron, who punches her in the ribs, but Hikari returns fire right back, hitting Ava in the rib cage as well!
Rich Russillo: HIKARI DRIVES CAMERON BACK FIRST INTO OUR ANNOUNCE TABLE, BUT WHILE AVA WINCES, SHE GRITS THROUGH THE PAIN, AND BOUNCES HIKARI FACE FIRST OFF OUR ANNOUNCE TABLE COVER!
Persephone: We’re gonna need security out here, this is very reminiscent of last week!
James Peters: Drake is in the ring, trying to collect his bearings, probably unsure of what just went down. BUT CAMERON TRIES TO SLAM HIKARI OFF OUR ANNOUNCE TABLE AGAIN, WHICH GETS BLOCKED AS KANNO GETS BOTH HANDS IN FRONT, AND ELBOWS AVA IN THE GUT, SLAMMING HER OFF THE ANNOUNCE TABLE COVER NOW!
Rich Russillo: Cameron spins around, dropping to a knee, checking her face for damage, but Hikari isn’t done, approaching the EAW Hall of Famer. BUT SHE CATCHES KANNO OFF GUARD, LANDING A PUNCH TO THE MIDSECTION, WHICH STAGGERS HER A BACK A BIT!
(Cameron stands herself up, but gets restrained by security, who come rushing down, grabbing both her and Hikari, attempting to stop the fight.)
James Peters: As expected, security have run out here, trying to break these competitors up.
Rich Russillo: So much for just being out here to watch the action.
Persephone: In fairness, Hikari did bumble into Cameron.
James Peters: But you saw it, it was an accident, which I’m sure Cameron knew, but didn’t care, seeing an opportunity to attack, and taking it.
(The camera cuts elsewhere on a shot of security having to hold back both competitors on the outside, which causes the crowd to boo, wanting to see both of them fight.)
(Voltage fades to a promotional ad for Road to Redemption, where Hikari Kanno faces Cameron Ella Ava.)
(The camera pans around to show off the packed Philippine Sports Stadium before cutting over to Bella Braxton, who stands up from her chair next to the commentary table, having an EAW-branded mic in hand, ready to announce something.)
Bella Braxton: LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, PLEASE WELCOME SUNDAY NIGHT VOLTAGE COMMISSIONER… CAPTAIN CHARISMA!!
(The crowd roars at this announcement, their reaction only growing louder as ‘Self Help Tape’ by Moses Sumney blares throughout the arena, and out comes the busy commissioner to the stage. Captain Charisma forms a smile on his face, flattered by the reaction he’s received here in Bulacan. Captain Charisma refocuses himself, and continues his stride down the ring, pointing at and high-fiving fans along the way.)
James Peters: Well, we were expecting an appearance from our commissioner, and here he is, in the flesh, Captain Charisma.
Rich Russillo: Yeah, to address on going issues between Charlie Marr and Theron Nikolas, who have been at each other’s throats these past couple of weeks.
James Peters: And after the last, an intervention was needed from Captain Charisma.
Persephone: Charlie Marr ruined a perfectly good main event, all thanks to a loss he suffered at the hands of Theron.
James Peters: Marr isn’t a man used to failure, after all, the guy’s an EAW Hall of Famer, so I think that loss to Theron really stuck with him because of it.
(Captain Charisma enters the ring, and poses on the middle rope before stepping down, and requesting a mic, which he gets from a stagehand, who hands it to him from ringside. Captain Charisma walks to the center of the ring, and his music dies down, but the fans support doesn’t, and Captain Charisma looks around as they continue to cheer for him.)
Crowd: CC! 👏 CC! 👏 CC! 👏
Captain Charisma: …As always, thank you for the warm reaction. But I’m here to discuss a serious topic, that being Charlie Marr and Theron Nikolas.
(The crowd briefly cheers at those two names being passed around, knowing things have heated up between them recently.)
Captain Charisma: A backstage brawl. Ruining a main event. Another brawl, which actually closed the show last week, requiring multiple security guards to break those two up, because Charlie Marr and Theron Nikolas attacked the first few sent out there. It’s safe to say, this thing has gotten out of hand. So, as commissioner of Voltage, it’s my job to intervene, and make sure this thing comes to an end, which it will. It’ll come to an end in Wailuku, Hawaii. For those that don’t know, it’s where Mele Kalikimaka: A Hawaiian Christmas Show Spectacle will be held, and it’ll be following Road to Redemption. Ya see, this all started because Charlie Marr’s ego wouldn’t let him get past one loss to Theron, so I’m sure he’ll be pleased with the information that he’ll have the opportunity to face Nikolas one more time at the event.
(The crowd eat that announcement up, excited at the prospect of seeing those two go at it again, but Captain Charisma forces them to hold their applause momentarily.)
Captain Charisma: Wait, wait, because there’s more. It won’t just be a typical match like last time, because thinking about it, that’d place Theron in an unfair situation, seeing as he’d have nothing to gain, having beaten Marr fair and square last time. So, at our Christmas Show, it’ll be Charlie Marr versus Theron Nikolas… for the EAW Hardcore Championship!
(Now, Captain Charisma allows fans to applaud the match, holding a giant smile on his face. But things take a turn as fans go from positive to negative real quick once Charlie Marr comes out from the back with a microphone, wearing a tank top and shorts over his ring gear from earlier. Captain Charisma turns his attention over to Marr, who walks down to the ring while speaking.)
Charlie Marr: So, let me get this straight, me versus Theron for my Hardcore Championship? Ya know what, Captain Charisma? I like your thought process. You actually did me a favor!
(Charlie walks up the steps, and enters through the middle rope, continuing his speech.)
Charlie Marr: I’m not stupid, I knew that a rematch between myself and Theron would be inevitable, especially after last week. But in trying to make things fair, in trying to make things even for poor Theron, you actually made things worse. I’m Hardcore Champion for a reason, because in this ring, I can do vicious, I can do vile stuff, not to say Theron can’t do the same, but not quite to the level I can. I am the living embodiment of hardcore on this brand, in fact, I am the biggest star on this brand. So, Theron Nikolas beating me was nothing more than a fluke. He got lucky. But there’ll be no room for him to at the Christmas Show. Trust me, I’m going to embarrass him, I’m going to brutalize him, and after Theron Nikolas is sent out of the arena in an ambulance, who’ll be to blame for yet another awful decision on this show like placing Theron in my element?
(Charlie gets in the face of Captain Charisma.)
Charlie Marr: None other than yours-
(Charlie Marr’s speech is cut off, and he turns his attention to the stage area as “Pass The Nirvana” by PTV plays, and Theron Nikolas comes out, wearing his regular street clothes of a leather jacket, his own shirt underneath, pants, and Chelsea boots. Theron has a mic in hand, and doesn’t take his eyes off Charlie Marr during his walk down to the ring.)
Rich Russillo: Things are heating up.
James Peters: That’s for certain.
(Theron enters the ring, and Captain Charisma gets in the middle of both him and Marr, warning them to keep things cordial before stepping back slightly as the two stare each other down.)
Theron Nikolas: Charlie, at first, my attention was solely on Samael, and overcoming him at Wicked Games, which I did. Now? My attention is solely focused on you, and taking that Hardcore Championship off your shoulder.
Charlie Marr: Oh yeah? Well, it’s easier said than done.
Theron Nikolas: You think I don’t know that? Charlie, I’m aware of the man you are, I’m aware of what you’re capable of, and I’m also aware that my previous win over you has hung over your head like a black cloud. Despite being an EAW Hall of Famer, despite being a champion, you’re the one going into this with something to prove. Trying to right what’s, in your mind, a wron-
Charlie Marr: What’s in everybody’s mind a wrong. Tell me, in what world should Charlie Marr be losing to the likes of Theron Nikolas? Not one. Not a single one. Yet somehow, someway, it happened. You got lucky.
Theron Nikolas: There you go again, claiming I got lucky. I didn’t fancy someone dubbed “Main Event Marr” to make constant excuses, because he can’t admit a simple fact. You lost. I was the better man that night, whether you like it or not.
(Charlie Marr has grown increasingly frustrated with Theron’s comments.)
Charlie Marr: Better man my-
(Marr is once again interrupted, this time with ‘As Long As I Love’ TK by Ling Tosite Sigure cutting him off, much to the confusion of all three men in the ring. Hikari receives a mostly positive reaction from fans, and speaks into the mic while walking down to the ring, wearing her t-shirt over the ring gear she wore from earlier, just not sporting her wristbands.)
Hikari Kanno: Charlie, you seem to have a knack for sticking your nose in things that don’t concern you, and for that, Theron isn’t the only one that has a problem with you. Add me to that list as well.
(Hikari walks up the steps, and onto the apron, staying there as she looks directly at Charlie Marr.)
Hikari Kanno: A few weeks ago, you interfered in my match with Minerva, and don’t think I forgot. Similar to Theron, I had my hands tied with someone else going into Wicked Games, Sierra Everett. Now, she’s going around calling me things like “unstable, unsafe,” but at Wicked Games, I was more than that. I was victorious. Coming as a shock to no one, who knew Sierra Everett was a waste of my time, and was a waste of my talents. So, onto something that isn’t. I’ve already got Cameron Ella Ava penciled in for Road to Redemption, but I want more. I want Charlie Marr penciled in for the Christmas Show.
Captain Charisma: Well, Hikari, there’s a small problem with that, as I’ve already given Theron a match with Charlie at said show.
Hikari Kanno: I’m aware, so why not make it a triple threat? You can’t tell me after the season I’ve had, I don’t at least deserve a title opportunity.
(The crowd goes crazy, wanting to see that triple threat happen, and Captain Charisma gives it some consideration, which prompts Marr to give him a look of “you’re not actually considering this, right?”)
Captain Charisma: Hikari, I-
(Before he can give an answer, Captain Charisma gets cut off with “Primrose” by Dream State, which receives another monster reaction from fans, mostly leaning towards positive as opposed to negative. Daryl is wearing a sleeveless shirt over his ring gear, and similar to the others, walks down to the ring, speaking into a microphone. Meanwhile, Hikari steps inside the ring, and spaces out along with the other three men. Captain Charisma just backs into a corner, watching it all go down.)
Daryl Kinkade: Captain Charisma, I’m sorry to interrupt, but since we’re on the topic of opportunities, allow me to throw my name into the hat. Because at Wicked Games, I was also victorious in my match, wiping the floor with that turd, Ronan Malosi. Of course, I had a little help from the fans, who gave me every tool to do it. But it comes to opportunity, I’ve only had one real opportunity this season, and that was against Minerva. However, that was early on, and while I impressed a lot with my performance, I can do far, far better a second time around. Because we’re getting closer and closer to the end of 2022, and I’d love another title opportunity, so I can end this year with a bang, and so I can end this year, having a championship around my waist.

Captain Charisma: Hikari, Daryl, you both want an opportunity at the Hardcore Title, and if you ask me, you’re both deserving of one as well, which is why I’m making the match between Charlie Marr and Theron Nikolas… a fatal four way!
(Everyone seems satisfied about this decision, but Charlie Marr.)
Charlie Marr: So, that’s it? That’s all you gotta do to get a title opportunity? I swear, this brand falls more and more off the tracks week by week. Theron gets lucky in a match against me, so your big logical plan is to put him in a luck based match, which revolves around being in the right place at the right time. Normally, I’d have no problem wiping the floor with either Hikari or Daryl, but they’ve got no right sticking their nose in my business.
Hikari Kanno: Someone doesn’t like the shoe being on the other foot.
Theron Nikolas: You were just so confident about beating me, Charlie, a few other people added to the mix shouldn’t change that for “Main Event Marr” of all people.
Charlie Marr: Whatever. You know what? That’s the Christmas show, I’m more worried what the Hardcore Champion’ll doing at Road to Redemption.
Hikari Kanno: That’s right, you aren’t booked.
Charlie Marr: Yeah, and the fact you are before me is baffling within itself.
Theron Nikolas: And I’m not booked for Road to Redemption either.
Daryl Kinkade: Me neither, Captain Charisma, what’s going on with that?
Captain Charisma: I’m glad you asked. Because Daryl, at Road to Redemption, you’ll have a match. Better yet, you’ll have an opportunity in the Extreme Enigma Memorial Match. As for you, Charlie-
Charlie Marr: Hold your breath. If it’s not a spot in the Elimination Chamber, and another shot at the EAW World Title, I’m not interested.
(Theron chuckles to himself briefly.)
Theron Nikolas: After everything you’ve done over the last few weeks, don’t think I’m letting you get close to another World Title.
Charlie Marr: Go ahead, get in my way, and see what happens. It’ll be the same result as when I left you laying backstage.
(Charlie Marr and Theron Nikolas start getting in each other’s faces again, prompting Captain Charisma to get between them once more, but they’re still trying to get at one another, frustrating Captain Charisma.)
Captain Charisma: ENOUGH!
(Charlie and Theron come to a halt, paying attention to Captain Charisma.)
Captain Charisma: Charlie, Theron, you’re both in the chamber! Happy now?
(Both Theron and Charlie nod in agreement while staring one another down, still being held back by Captain Charisma. Meanwhile, the crowd is erupting, extremely satisfied with each decision made by Captain Charisma.)
James Peters: What an announcement made by Captain Charisma, which has both the Christmas Show and Road to Redemption shaping up nicely.
Persephone: I sure am excited for both those matches.
James Peters: I can hear it in your voice!
(The camera cuts elsewhere on a final shot of each competitor looking around at one another, realizing they’ll be opponents within the coming weeks.)

James Peters: We knew that these three would be here at ringside, and hopefully they’re just getting front row seats and not a chance to interfere.
Rich Russillo: Well while they’ve had their issues with the Prescription, it’s all been centered around the Unified Tag Team Championships. I don’t think they have a preferred winner here.
(‘You Know My Name’ by Chris Cornell hits as Adam
Lucas walks out to a positive reaction. Adam doesn’t go too far, heading only to the top of the stage as he waits for his partner. ‘The Outsiders’ by Eric Church follows, and as the National Elite Champion Donovan Duke begins to walk out to the stage, he has a similar look on his face as Adam Lucas. Neither man is happy about the situation that they’re in, but they try to keep their focus on tonight’s match for now.)
Bella Braxton: Introducing the challengers… At a combined weight of 443 pounds….. AADDAAMMMM LUUUCCCAASSSSS AND THE NATIONAL ELITE CHAMPION, DOOOONNOOOOVVVAAANNNN DDUUUUUUUKKEEEE!!!!!
James Peters: You have to feel for Adam Lucas and Donovan Duke basically being shoved into this mess. Adam and Bethany obviously wouldn’t want to fight each other, not in a match like this at least where things were entirely out of their control and the titles are on the line, but they don’t have a choice!
Rich Russillo: Adam and Donovan are two very talented Elitists so I couldn’t tell you how this is going to go. All I can say is that we’ll likely be seeing a very good match, even if it’s not a match any of these four competitors wanted.
(Before long, ‘Enemy’ by Sevendust hits. This time there isn’t as extravagant of an entrance as Sheridan Müller and Dr. Bethany Blue begin to walk out, and that’s because this isn’t too great of a situation for them either, especially Dr. Bethany Blue. The Prescription have focused looks on their faces, but with Soul Food Sunday at ringside they can’t help but turn their attention towards them a few times on their way down the ramp.)

James Peters: Dr. Bethany Blue and Sheridan Müller have had a fantastic title reign, and whether or not that ends tonight is something we’ll be finding out very soon. One thing’s for sure though, I don’t think these two want this reign to end before they’ve had the chance to fight Soul Food Sunday!
Rich Russillo: Yeah, meanwhile Soul Food Sunday is gonna be right there at ringside watching this match go down! This won’t be an easy match for any of these two teams, that’s for sure.

The Unified Tag Team Championships match is underway, and it looks like we’re already off to a surprising start as Dr. Bethany Blue and Adam Lucas seem to be starting off the match! I don’t think this was intentional either seeing the look on their faces! They’re gonna have to fight eventually whether they like it or not though, and I think they both know that seeing as they haven’t tagged out despite their frustrations over the current situation! The two Elitists begin to slowly circle the ring, meanwhile Soul Food Sunday is at ringside watching everything go down!
Rich Russillo: Adam Lucas and Dr. Bethany Blue lock up, and Adam manages to apply a headlock but this only lasts for a few seconds before Dr. Blue is able to slip out of it and pull Adam into a hammerlock! Adam Lucas now able to pull himself out of it, AND HE USES THE OPPORTUNITY TO PULL BETHANY INTO A SHORT ARM CLOTHESLINE, BUT BETHANY DUCKS UNDER IT! BETHANY NOW PULLING ADAM LUCAS UP FOR A GERMAN SUPLEX, BUT ADAM MANAGES TO FLIP OUT OF IT AND LAND ON HIS FEET! Dr. Bethany Blue quickly gets back up, and now these two are back at square one as they’re in their corners, right next to their partners!
James Peters: Both Sheridan Müller and Donovan Duke are talking to their respective partners, and it looks like we’re seeing a double tag here as Dr. Bethany Blue and Adam Lucas tag out! We all knew that nobody involved with this match was a fan of the current situation, and neither Donovan Duke nor Sheridan Müller felt the need to watch their partner fight against their significant other this early into the match! Now it’s Sheridan and Donovan entering the ring, and I don’t think these two will be holding anything back!
Rich Russillo: Both Elitists charge at each other, AND SHERIDAN SLIPS BEHIND DONOVAN BEFORE TRYING TO DELIVER THE SHERPLEX- BUT DONOVAN DELIVERS A BACK ELBOW! DONOVAN NOW LIFTS SHERIDAN UP AS HE MAKES AN ATTEMPT FOR DRAWING DEAD- BUT SHERIDAN SLIPS BEHIND DONOVAN BEFORE PULLING HIS LEGS OUT FROM UNDER HIM, CAUSING DONOVAN TO LAND ON HIS FACE! Persephone: Donovan Duke quickly gets back up, AND SHERIDAN MADE AN ATTEMPT FOR A SPINNING BACK ELBOW BUT DONOVAN DUCKED IT BEFORE GOING FOR THAT SPINNING BACKFIST THING HE DOES- WAIT NO! SHERIDAN BLOCKED IT RIGHT BEFORE SHE COULD GET HIT IN THE FACE, AND NOW SHE HITS DONOVAN WITH A EUROPEAN UPPERCUT- NO! James Peters: Dr. Bethany Blue now in firm control as she gets on top of the National Elite Champion and begins punching away at him, forcing Donovan to have to try and block up just to avoid taking too much damage! Donovan’s in a bit of trouble right now, but he’s able to push Bethany off of him before turning and grabbing onto the ropes, using them to help himself back up to his feet! Donovan pulls himself up as Bethany rushes to her feet, AND NOW BETHANY RUNS IN, BUT DONOVAN CONNECTS WITH A SIDE ELBOW TO THE JAW!

James Peters: Despite being put against Adam Lucas we all know that Dr. Bethany Blue is the type of Elitists who wants to win and find success. She doesn’t want this to be how her Unified Tag Team Championship reign ends, especially knowing that the Prescription didn’t even get their match against Soul Food Sunday! Adam Lucas has voiced his thoughts on the matter. He doesn’t want any part of this and really wants nothing more than to see Kennedy Street get what she deserves, but I think he knows that he has no option right now but to fight and bring his best to the table. As rare as this is to say though, I’m sure both Donovan and Adam want the Prescriptions best tonight, not just so they have a good challenge, but so they’re not hurt by Kennedy trying to prove a point.
Rich Russillo: Yeah. Adam especially seemed to be conflicted as the bell originally rang, but by now I think he and Dr. Bethany Blue have seen all they needed to, and are approaching this match exactly as they should. They just need to do their best, and I’m sure in their minds the best way for this to end is with there being no hard feelings between these four regardless of the result!

She’s not wasting any time heading out of the ring, but personally I think she should’ve just stayed inside and got a countout win.

That’s given Donovan the time he needed to make it up to the top rope and prepare for another high risk maneuver, and whatever he has in mind might just be able to put this match away! It looks like that backfist didn’t completely knock Sheridan out, otherwise we would’ve seen new Champions! Donovan doesn’t look completely upset that things didn’t end there though, and by now we already know why with the whole conflict with Kennedy Street. Donovan Duke slowly pushes himself back up to his feet, and I’m sure at this point he’s already gone through a lot of his options, leaving him with very few choices left to try and put Sheridan away!
Persephone: Donovan Duke slowly starts to pull Sheridan Müller up into another fireman’s carry, BUT RIGHT BEFORE DONOVAN COULD FOLLOW IT UP, SHERIDAN KNEES HIM IN THE JAW! That caused Donovan to stumble a bit, and now Sheridan elbows him! Sheridan is still weak so she can’t hit him as much as she’d like, but she manages to connect with another big knee strike, and that was enough for Donovan to let go of Sheridan! Sheridan just stumbled backwards into her corner, tagging in Dr. Bethany Blue before Donovan could notice! Donovan turns to Sheridan, AND HE RUNS IN BEFORE LOOKING FOR A CLOTHESLINE IN THE CORNER!
James Peters: IT DOESN’T CONNECT!! Sheridan moved out of the way and got out of the ring, and Dr. Bethany Blue took the opportunity to grab Donovan’s head and slam it into the top turnbuckle! Dr. Bethany Blue gets into the ring before grabbing Donovan, AND SHE DELIVERS A TIGER SUPLEX! Persephone: Dr. Bethany Blue now gets back up and tags Sheridan back in, and it looks like these two are about to try and put this match away, knowing that Donovan can’t have that much left in the tank! Sheridan picks Donovan Duke up from behind, and it looks like these two are about to go for the Lethal Injection, one of their two tag team finishing moves! Sheridan holds onto the National Elite Champion as Dr. Bethany Blue sets him up, AND NOW SHE GOES FOR THE CODE BLUE-
James Peters: WAIT! DONOVAN JUST HIT SHERIDAN WITH A BACK ELBOW BEFORE BETHANY COULD GO FOR THE HEART PUNCH!!! BETHANY NOW GOES FOR THE CODE BLUE TO TRY AND STOP DONOVAN FROM FIGHTING BACK, BUT DONOVAN POWERS HIMSELF AND SHERIDAN INTO THE TURNBUCKLES, AVOIDING THE HEART PUNCH AND FREEING HIMSELF FROM SHERIDAN’S GRASP AS BOTH ELITISTS STUMBLE OUT OF THE CORNER! Dr. Bethany Blue wants to make a move, but the referee tells her that her time is up and she needs to make her way back onto the apron as she’s made the tag already!
Rich Russillo: Donovan Duke now is crawling to his corner, but Sheridan Müller is making an effort to stop him! Donovan though is getting close, AND HE MANAGES TO MAKE THE TAG!!! SHERIDAN GOT UP JUST A BIT TOO LATE, AND NOW ADAM LUCAS RUSHES IN THE RING BEFORE TAKING HER DOWN WITH A DISCUS PUNCH!!! James Peters: Adam likely could’ve tried to apply the triangle choke from there, but I think he understands just how skilled Sheridan is when it comes to submission holds, and that it likely wouldn’t have gotten him the victory! Adam is dragging Sheridan by the arm towards his teams corner, where Donovan Duke is waiting, Adam slowly starts dragging Sheridan to her feet, AND NOW THERE’S THE TAG BY ADAM LUCAS! Donovan Duke now entering the ring as these two seem to be planning a tag team move of their own- BUT WAIT A SECOND!!! SHERIDAN JUST PULLED HERSELF BEHIND ADAM- AND NOW SHE SPINS ADAM AROUND FOR ENDLESS FANTASIES!!!! WHERE DID THAT JUST COME FROM!?!?
Rich Russillo: ADAM LUCAS ROLLS OUT TO RINGSIDE, MEANWHILE SHERIDAN MÜLLER IS DOWN AND OUT AFTER RECEIVING THE HONOR BOMB ONLY MOMENTS AGO! Donovan Duke was caught by surprise there, as Sheridan Müller managed to both save herself and take Adam Lucas out of the equation for the time being! Donovan Duke seems to realize that this is the best chance he’s gonna get to capitalize though, AS HE QUICKLY GRABS SHERIDAN MÜLLER AND LIFTS HER UP, DROPPING HER ONTO THE MAT WITH A DEADLIFT GERMAN SUPLEX!!! Sheridan still hasn’t recovered yet, so she didn’t have the strength to fight out of that!
Persephone: Donovan Duke isn’t wasting any time here as he begins to make his way up to the top rope, and it looks like he’s once again going to go high risk, looking to pick up where he left off and redeem himself for that failed Phoenix splash earlier! Soul Food Sunday surprisingly hasn’t gotten involved, but I think they’re more interested in seeing who’s gonna win the Unified Tag Team Championships right now, especially since they wanna take the titles for themselves! I’m sure that no matter what, Soul Food Sunday could have a really challenging match ahead of them! 😃
James Peters: That’s if they’re actually granted the match given the past two weeks. At this point I have no idea what’s going to happen, but right now we should really be focusing on what’s happening right now, as Donovan Duke is perched up top once again- BUT SHERIDAN MÜLLER THIS TIME ISN’T STAYING DOWN!!! SHERIDAN IS PUSHING HERSELF BACK UP TO HER FEET, CLEARLY NOT READY TO GO DOWN JUST YET, AND THIS HAS LEFT DONOVAN WITH NO CHOICE BUT TO DIVE AS HE GOES FOR A DIVING CROSSBODY ON THE UNIFIED TAG TEAM CHAMPION!!
(Suddenly, the crowd explodes into a huge mixed reaction for what’s going on inside of the ring.)

SHERIDAN MÜLLER IS HOLDING ONTO DONOVAN WITH WHATEVER STRENGTH SHE HAS LEFT, AND NOW SHE MANAGES TO LIFT DONOVAN UP INTO A FIREMAN’S CARRY, SIMILAR TO WHAT DONOVAN HAD ATTEMPTED EARLIER! DIFFERENCE IS, NOW IT’S DONOVAN ELBOWING AND KNEEING AWAY AT SHERIDAN, FORCING HER TO LET GO OF HIM BEFORE SHE COULD GET ANYTHING GOING! That was a really close call!
James Peters: Donovan Duke now with a kick to the midsection, and it looks like Donovan has something in mind as he pulls Sheridan into a front facelock! Donovan Duke now pulling Sheridan up into a suplex position, BUT THAT DOESN’T LAST FOR VERY LONG AS SHERIDAN IS ABLE TO PULL HERSELF DOWN BEHIND DONOVAN, LANDING ON HER FEET AS SHE GRABS DONOVAN FROM BEHIND!!! James Peters: Wait a second, why’d she tag herself in?? Sheridan Müller had basically taken Donovan Duke’s head off with the endless fantasies, but it looks like Dr. Bethany Blue wants to finish the match off herself!
(Dr. Bethany Blue has her eyes set on Donovan Duke, meanwhile Sheridan begins to make her way out onto the ring apron, confused but not entirely bothered knowing that the Prescription is still in control of the match.)
Rich Russillo: Whatever the case it seems Sheridan doesn’t mind too much, and now it looks like Dr. Bethany Blue is looking to finish things up here! Dr. Bethany Blue drags Donovan Duke up, and with Adam Lucas still recovering from endless fantasies I don’t think he’s gonna be able to break things up here! Dr. Bethany Blue kicks Donovan in the midsection before wrapping an arm around his back and pulling him up! WHIPLASH!!! WHIPLASH CONNECTS ON THE NATIONAL ELITE CHAMPION, AND NOW THERE’S THE COVER ON DONOVAN DUKE!!!

(As the brawl continues a bunch of security guards begin running down the ramp, followed by Captain Charisma. The two teams, as well as Dr. Angelo D’Angelo are separated from each other, and once they’re far enough from each other Captain Charisma begins to speak.)
Captain Charisma: Clearly this isn’t going to end until you two have the chance to tear each other apart, so you know what? Now that we have a winner and the Unified Tag Team Champions have been decided, it’s only right we end the year with the match all four of you clearly want. At Road to Redemption, THE PRESCRIPTION WILL DEFEND THE UNIFIED TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS AGAINST SOUL FOOD SUNDAY!
(The crowd explodes into cheers, meanwhile the two Prescription members and the Soul Food Sunday members have yet to take their eyes off of one another. Dr. Angelo D’Angelo is heard yelling at them over the commotion as security drags them away, and from there Voltage fades away from ringside.)
(A commercial is shown for Dragon Ball featuring Harper Lee.)
(Voltage returns to the stage, and after a few seconds of silence, ‘SUN//EATER’ by Lorna Shore hits. The crowd explodes, but this time around there’s more of a mixed reaction. Slowly, Yhwach O’Hara begins to make his first entrance on Voltage in over a year. He slowly walks down the ramp with a very calm look on his face, which is surprising given all that’s happened in the past two weeks. He is holding a microphone in his hand, and he’s not paying any attention to the fans or the reaction that he was given once his music hit.)
James Peters: Here he comes! For the first time since early last season, YHWACH O’HARA IS HERE!!
Rich Russillo: It’s not gonna be easy getting used to calling him Yhwach O’Hara, but this is clearly a far different man than the one that was originally drafted to Voltage last season!
James Peters: Yeah, but we still know very little about him! One thing we do know is that O’Hara’s attack back at Wicked Games wasn’t random at all, and it seems to have to do with what New Eden did to him one year ago!
Persephone: I’m surprised you guys didn’t guess that sooner. It was obvious to me.
(Yhwach walks up the steel steps before finally entering the ring. The crowd starts to quiet down, as every fan in the arena is eager to hear what he has to say. Yhwach stands in the center of the ring, and he doesn’t immediately start talking, causing the fans to wait for him to finally answer the questions everyone had when he made his return at Wicked Games. Eventually, Yhwach finally gives the fans what they’ve been waiting for as he begins to speak.)
Yhwach O’Hara: Your questions have already been answered. With what was shown last week, my actions at Wicked Games are self-explanatory.
(O’Hara stops as the fans once again explode into a loud reaction. Just like before there’s a mixed reaction, though mostly positive for the Hall of Famers second appearance in over a year.)
Yhwach O’Hara: I’ve risen to the top of this industry in a way that’s been completely unmatched. I’m the greatest that EAW has to offer and I have no competition, yet for an entire year the final images of my wrestling career were defeat at the hands of an Elitist that couldn’t even begin climbing the mountain I stand on top of, and injury at the hands of a group comprised of even lesser “talents”. There’s no reason I should have ever been taken out of action by Myles and his associates, and the last thing I was ever going to do was allow my career to end like that. There were a lot of mistakes made at that point in my career but clearly they weren’t all made by me. Far too many people believed they’d be able to make a name for themselves or send some kind of message to the rest of the EAW roster at my expense, and now just a year later that night seems to have been forgotten. Don’t mistake me for the rest of this roster who you can use as stepping stones or tools to have your voices heard. When my career ends, it’ll be because I chose to go out on my terms, and until I’ve decided it’s time for me to leave, I’m going to reclaim what’s rightfully mine.
Yhwach O’Hara: Every single person on Voltage knows what I’m capable of. Every Elitist, every official, every single person sitting in the crowd, even Captain Charisma is aware of what I’m capable of, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise that I plan to return to the heights I’ve always stood at. Anything less is too far below me to actually matter. Before long I’ll be back on top of EAW, in the exact same spot Myles only ever stood in because I wasn’t here to stand in his way, and seeing the names on this roster I’m prepared to go uncontested on my way back. Wicked Games was a reminder of what happened one year ago. It was a reminder that I haven’t forgotten about the position I found myself in thanks to New Eden, and for Myles’ sake I hope he understands that I’ll never find myself injured by his hands again. After all, Myles has already made his own intentions clear. He wants to be World Champion again. He wants to be a Pain for Pride main eventer once more, and “pick up where he left off”. Maybe if he succeeded in finishing me off he would’ve reached that goal, but he wasn’t that lucky. Now he’s once again stuck on my brand and the only option he has is to let go of that dream, just as he tried to get me to let go of a career that’ll never be surpassed.
(Yhwach O’Hara finishes speaking and by this point it looks like he’s about to leave the ring, but before he gets the chance to do that, ‘Enemy Strike’ by Yuki Hayashi hits. All of the fans in the arena begin cheering, and before long Myles begins walking out, finally getting the chance to stare directly at the man that attacked him at Wicked Games. Myles begins walking down the ramp with a microphone of his own, not taking his eyes off of O’Hara as the fans continue to cheer.)
James Peters: I think we all knew it was only a matter of time before Myles made an appearance, and even now I’m just shocked by what we saw at Wicked Games. Yhwach just explained it all for us, but look at what we’re seeing here. A Hall of Famer and one of the most accomplished Elitists in recent memory staring each other down after returning on the exact same night!
Rich Russillo: It definitely is exciting, but I think we both know that Myles doesn’t share the same excitement. He saw the reason behind Yhwach’s attack, and to O’Hara’s credit, I can understand why anyone would hold a grudge knowing how brutal of an attack it was. It all just makes me wonder what it is Myles has to say right now.
(Myles enters the ring, walking directly up to Yhwach O’Hara as the two Elitists stand face to face. After a little while Myles begins to speak, and the fans immediately quiet down.)
Myles: Is that it?
(There’s no response from O’Hara, so Myles continues.)
Myles: Well, that’s too bad. I expected more, honestly. Back at Wicked Games I wasn’t sure why you attacked me. I thought that you might’ve just wanted to make a statement at my expense, as if I was the type of Elitist that’d just let anyone walk all over me. I was certain that you were just trying to send a message to the Voltage locker room which is exactly why I came out here last week and gave you the chance to settle things in the ring, but it turns out that wasn’t the case. You’re here because of what I did to you a year ago- or better yet, what New Eden did. I don’t know if you’ve been paying any attention for the past year, but New Eden doesn’t exist anymore, and I’m not the same man I was back when I chose to help take you out of action. I’m aware of the awful things I did back then all for the sake of reaching a goal that was never going to be accomplished to begin with, and I’m not going to lie to you or pretend I’m proud of all of them. I realize I messed up a very long time ago, but I don’t care if you’re here for revenge over what happened last year. I’m not going to be anybody’s punching bag.
(O’Hara just stares at Myles as he continues to speak.)
Myles: If you wanted payback, you had two different opportunities to walk down the ramp just like you did tonight, and challenge me to a match. Hell I challenged YOU, and instead of accepting the challenge or even giving us a sign that you were in the arena, you wasted my time. Is this what you were waiting to do for an entire year? Come out and remind everyone of your injury on a weekly basis instead of actually trying to fight? If it is then that’s just disappointing. I returned to EAW because I had unfinished business. I actually care about making it back to the position I used to be in and re-establishing myself as one of the best this brand has to offer, and I’m prepared to go through anyone Voltage has to offer to do that, including you. If the only thing you’re here to do is talk, you might as well have retired after our attack.
(There’s a loud reaction from the crowd, despite the look on O’Hara’s face not changing at all. The cheers don’t last for too long though, as after a few seconds Yhwach raises his microphone, causing the fans to start quieting down as he begins to speak once again.)
Yhwach O’Hara: Did you really believe I’d return just to operate on your time?
Myles: I believed you’d be man enough to show your face after attacking me.
Yhwach O’Hara: Well here I am standing right in front of you, and you have yet to live up to your own words and lay a finger on me. You’d be smart to keep things that way. I’ve already given far more to this industry than deserved, more than someone like me ever should’ve been forced to, and those mistakes will not be made this time around. I attacked you at Wicked Games because I wanted to, and I’ll entertain you and give you the match you’re desperate for when I want to. It’s very simple Myles, I do things on my time. I decide when to put you in the ground and remind you of your place in this company. I decide when to crush your dreams of standing on top of this brand again. I decide when this ends, and you should be very grateful that I’m not in any rush. There is no good ending for you here, so instead of whining you should cherish all the time you have left. You said you wanted a fight, didn’t you? There’s an entire roster to pick fights with until I feel it’s time to correct history, so you’d be better off fighting your actual peers rather than begging for the attention of your superior.
(This answer from Yhwach has just annoyed Myles even more as the former EAW World Champion quickly responds.)
Myles: So you expect me to just try and forget about what happened on Wicked Games? You really think that I’m going to just move on because you’re “not ready” for a match? I’ve already waited long enough, and I’m not going to keep waiting for a fight when I’ve already missed four months of the season. Yeah, I could always just challenge someone else. I could always proceed as usual, but YOU started this mess. You chose to attack me at Wicked Games, and I’m not going to let that go regardless of what your reasoning is. I’m here to fight, so if you’re not planning to get in the ring and face me anytime soon, then how about this? You face me at the final major free-per-view of the year, Road to Redemption.
(All of the fans in the arena begin cheering extremely loudly, excited for the idea of these two Elitists facing off at Road to Redemption.)
Myles: I’m not waiting any longer than that. I have the rest of the season ahead of me and I’m not dragging this out any longer than I need to. We can either finish this before the year ends or you can go back home. Either one is fine to me, but I’m not going to keep leaving the arena every single week without a clear answer.
(Myles stops speaking, waiting for an answer from O’Hara. It takes a while as the fans eventually quiet down, and eventually the excitement turns into concern as the fans are eventually unsure whether or not the challenge will be accepted.)
Yhwach O’Hara: You really are in a rush to dig your own grave, aren’t you?
(Myles remains silent, only interested in O’Hara’s answer to the challenge.)
Yhwach O’Hara: Very well, then. Road to Redemption isn’t a bad place to get this over with, so I have no problem ending 2022 righting last year’s wrong,
(The cheers immediately return after this, as the two Elitists who’ll now be facing off at Road to Redemption engage in another staredown, both knowing that the man in front of them may try to attack at any moment.)
James Peters: WOW! What an announcement from these two! I had to stop myself from saying anything until Yhwach addressed the challenge, but I can’t help but say that this is a huge match for Road to Redemption!
Rich Russillo: They’ve already faced off in the past, but I think it’s safe to say that this upcoming match will be their biggest one yet!
Persephone: I sure can’t wait for this match. How fun! 😃
James Peters: I think this is it for Voltage tonight, but what a great note to end the night on! Road to Redemption is looking more exciting than ever, as Yhwach O’Hara and Myles plan to face off!
(Yhwach O’Hara and Myles both stand in the middle of the ring, staring directly at each other as the fans continue to cheer as loud as they can. From there, Voltage begins to fade to black for the final time.)
