(RECAP: The theme of this week’s recap is quite simply the insanity that was the EAW World Championship Extreme Elimination Chamber. Six Elitists entered the hellacious structure. Five men and women walked into the match determined to stop Charlie Marr from retaining his championship. A barrage of highlights from the match plays.)
(RECAP CONTINUES: Andrea Valentine and Ms. Extreme begin the match against one another. After a handshake, both women put down their weapons and enter into a friendly back and forth. Andrea would get the advantage by targeting Ms. Extreme’s ankle but before anything can come from that, the first chamber pod would open! Rex McAllister would enter the match and immediately take Andrea out at the knee with a bo staff!)
(RECAP CONTINUES: Rex would take out both women, including stabbing Andrea in the face and in the back of the knee with a piece of glass. Ms. Extreme would reignite her rivalry with Rex and take him down with her shattered glass baseball bat, but Rex would eventually recover and target Ms. Extreme’s ankle! With Rex standing tall and both Andrea and Ms. Extreme down and hurting, the next chamber contestant would be released.)
(RECAP CONTINUES: As the buzzer goes off, Ms. Extreme and Andrea would take Rex down! Terry Chambers would barge into the match and immediately target two of the Beating Hearts! Terry entered the match by using his chain to slam Ms. Extreme in the skull. Terry would beat Andrea to a pulp before lawn darting her into the side of the chamber. Rex would get involved, but Terry would also dispatch of him, coming into the match completely on fire!)
(RECAP CONTINUES: Andrea and Ms. Extreme would double team Terry until Rex got involved. All three would triple-team the Barbaric Carnivore and attempt to put him in his place. Right as the countdown for the next pod to open began, Rex would take Terry and slam him into Jack Ripley’s pod and shatter it! Luckily, Jack would be the next contestant out anyway, and Rex would immediately take him to task. Andrea and Ms. Extreme would go back to double-teaming Terry and all five competitors would literally tear into each other as the EAW World Champ, Charlie Marr, watched from his pod.)
(RECAP CONTINUES: The fans would wait with bated breath as the countdown happened for the last time. It was no secret who’d be coming out next. Jack, Terry, Ms. Extreme, Andrea, and Rex would all wait for Charlie to exit his pod. However, in typical Charlie fashion, the pod would not open which infuriated the other competitors. Charlie would lock himself in and it would take Terry, Rex, and Jack ripping the chamber door off the pod and breaking the chain to get Charlie out! All five competitors would beat the living hell out of Charlie. As Ms. Extreme went to eliminate Charlie from the match, Jack’s pride and emotions got the better of him. He would want Charlie all for himself and just like the camaraderie inside the chamber was shattered.)
(RECAP CONTINUES: All six athletes would wage a brutal, violent, and bloody war inside that chamber. The damage done to each of them before Charlie even entered would end up taking its toll. Despite everyone’s overwhelming desire to make sure it would end up being anyone BUT Charlie, it would be the reigning and defending EAW Champion who would reap the benefits of the work everyone else did. He would eliminate Jack, Terry, Ms. Extreme, and Rex from the match by either knockout or medical stoppage, leaving Andrea as the only person left who could possibly stop Charlie’s reign of terror.)
(RECAP CONTINUES: Andrea was all but out of the match. She was beaten, broken, bloodied, and left there to die at Charlie’s hands. He would seize her and wrap his arms around her neck. Despite still having some fight left in her, it was all but written that Andrea was about to suffer the same fate as her fallen chamber mates. That’s when the music of Malcolm Jones hit and everyone inside the arena nearly lost their minds. The former EAW World Champion, who was unceremoniously fired back at Bloodsport, would stroll out providing enough of a distraction for Andrea to grab her whip, the same whip Charlie had used to beat her bloody, and take him down! Andrea would pounce, wrapping that heinous weapon around Charlie’s throat and choking him out while everyone watched in delight. The referee would deem Charlie unconscious and Andrea Valentine would become the new EAW World Champion.)
(The highlight video fades out and the cameras cut to the inside of the Manchester Arena. Gold and white pyro is exploding as “33rd Blakk Glass” by Sosmula & Zillakami plays for the first time in 2020. It’s a new year, new decade, and a new era of Voltage, and the sold-out crowd is beyond thrilled. There is so much support for the new champion, the rest of the Beating Hearts, and for every single athlete who has been willing to bleed for Voltage this season. The first six months have been one hell of a ride, and the next six months promises to be much the same.)
(“33rd Blakk Glass” fades out and there are a few seconds of silence. The fans quiet down, waiting for what’s going to happen, and when “Roll With Me” by Charli XCX begins to play, the reaction is staggering.)
Bella Braxton: Ladies and gentlemen… please welcome the NEW EAW World Champion… ANDREA VALENTINE!!!
(Andrea steps out from the back dressed in ripped jeans, a modified ‘Beating Hearts of Voltage’ t-shirt, and Converse sneakers. Her blonde locks are down and flowing over her shoulders, and her smile tells her entire story. The EAW World Championship is on her shoulder and as she approaches the ramp, she stops and holds that belt proudly above her head. The fans have already started chanting her name, and the emotion Andrea feels at the moment is pretty evident. She pats her heart and makes sure she slaps the hands of as many fans as possible as she makes her way down to the ring. Once she’s inside, Bella hands her the microphone, but Andrea takes a few minutes to soak in the reaction. Long after her music has faded, and after it’s more than clear the fans aren’t going to stop until she starts speaking, Andrea finally raises the microphone to her perfectly glossed lips.)
Andrea Valentine: To say that I’m overwhelmed would be an understatement. I wasn’t even allowed to watch wrestling growing up. I grew up in a strict Catholic household and my older brothers and I would stay up late at night, waiting until we knew for sure our parents were sound asleep, and that’s when we would watch wrestling. I was enamored with it and the best thing I ever did for myself was accept a dare from my brothers that got me a tryout with a local company in Orlando. The rest is pretty much history.
(A smile crosses Andrea’s face as she thinks back to her childhood and how she broke into the sport. She went from backstage reporter and personality to the premiere world champion in the biggest company in the world.)
Andrea Valentine: When I signed with EAW, I knew that it wasn’t going to be easy to break-out. This company has always been full of talented women with big dreams, and I was no exception. When I got my break on the main roster, I was excited but at the same time, I had doubts. I doubted myself a bit and my ability to maintain the grueling schedule we have, and ultimately I ended up back at the EAW Performance Center. I’m not ashamed that I got sent back down to developmental. It made me stronger and really made me realize what an opportunity I have here. When I got the call to come back, I made it my goal that I would work hard, take everything in stride, and become the best possible version of myself that I could be. I NEVER imagined I would do the things I’ve done. The crazy matches I’ve competed in would never have crossed my mind. But one thing I will say is that I have really become a hell of a wrestler in whatever type of match I’m given, and man. I really am the EAW World Champion.
(The crowd explodes once again.)
Andrea Valentine: Everyone who enters this sport has world championship aspirations, and not everyone is able to reach that pinnacle. When I lost to Madison Kaline last year at Blood Letter, I wasn’t really sure when my next opportunity to compete for a world championship would be. Other opportunities came my way in the form of the Specialists Championship, so really winning a world title went to the back of my mind because I wanted to elevate the Specialists Championship and make my reign special. My first time around with that belt didn’t really work out, but my second reign was a dream. It means everything to me that I can forever be linked to my best friend, and she’s one of the people I thought about when this EAW World Championship was presented to me. There have been a lot of ups and downs, good times and bad, and so many memories that I will cherish long after my days as a wrestler are over. This championship… this means everything to me.
(Andrea takes a moment to lay the belt across her hands and look at it. She soaks up the sight of it, running her perfectly manicured fingers across her nameplate. She takes a deep breath before placing it back over her shoulder.)
Andrea Valentine: Obviously, I went into that chamber wanting to win, but I know Camille and myself were fighting for a much bigger purpose. Since the beginning of this season, Charlie Marr has been a thorn in our sides. Along with Veena Adams, he has made it his goal to make a mockery out of us and get us off this brand. Camille, Consuela, Raven, and I joined forces in order to stop them, and prove that we belong here, and ending Charlie’s shitty championship reign was the goal from the start. Deep down, I would have been content to see anyone but Charlie emerge from that match with the championship, and all of us had motivation to take that belt too. Charlie’s done nothing but piss this entire brand off. Karma has always been the biggest bitch and Charlie got bitchslapped by her real hard at Road to Redemption. All of his sins came back to haunt him, and it just so happens that I was the last person standing. Consuela put the final nail in Veena’s coffin, and that’s why the Beating Hearts of Voltage stand tall and proud right now. That’s why Voltage is going to look a whole hell of a lot better going forward. That’s why each of us now have a fair chance to get the things we want. There is no more Veena, and most importantly, there is no more Charlie Marr as the EAW World Champion. The ‘king’ is dead, and I’m fairly confident that it’s going to remain that way for as long as I’m the EAW World Champion.
Crowd: AN-DRE-A! AN-DRE-A! AN-DRE-A! AN-DRE-A! AN-DRE-A! AN-DRE-A! AN-DRE-A! AN-DRE-A!
Andrea Valentine: As EAW Champion, I promise to be a fighting champion. I’ll fight fair and I won’t cut any corners. I’ll make sure I give my opponents and challengers everything I have, and I’ll NEVER be someone who shies or runs away from a fight. Whatever stipulation, whatever opponent, whatever comes my way, I’m going to face it head on, with a smile on my face, and make sure that this belt really has a champion it can be proud of. This title has a long history, and it’s not one that’s always been full of sunshine and rainbows. But I plan to make sure my reign is one of the best ones in this company’s history.
(Andrea lowers the microphone and holds up the EAW Championship. “Roll With Me” begins to play once again and the crowd are still on their feet chanting the new EAW Champion’s name. Andrea heads to the turnbuckles and poses with the belt as Voltage fades into its first commercial break of the night.)
(Commercial break for Lexus. Experience the rewards of their curiosity.)
(Voltage returns and fades into the backstage area. The camera immediately cuts to Jesse Barlow and Hannah Marin, who are making their way down the hall. They stop in front of an unmarked lockerroom door and it’s Hannah who goes to knock. She takes a step back, returning to Jesse’s protective side, and a moment later, the door opens. Jesse’s partner for the night, Link Rexx, appears and he immediately glares at the duo.)
Link Rexx: Can I help you?
Hannah Marin: Actually, we are here to help you, Mr. Rexx.
(Link raises an eyebrow.)
Link Rexx: I don’t need your help.
(Hannah and Jesse exchange concerned looks.)
Hannah Marin: I wouldn’t be so sure. You were so quiet this week, not once opening your mouth to speak about the match and give Jesse the reassurance he needed to be able to trust you as a partner. It got us thinking that perhaps you feel as if you’ve bitten off more than you can chew here in EAW. This company is littered with filth and debauchery, but it is still the biggest wrestling company in the world and I understand why that might be a big deal for you and why you might be feeling some kind of nerves. While this match isn’t really that important to Jesse, he still wants to teach Zak Simmons and Shawn Sturgis a lesson, and that’s why we’ve both come to make sure you are going to do your part tonight.
Link Rexx: I’m here, aren’t I?
Hannah Marin: You are, but we had no way of knowing that since you couldn’t be bothered to speak out this week. This is an entirely different scenario than Christmas in Dubai was. This is Voltage and the last person you need to piss off on this brand is the man standing beside me. Jesse Barlow wants nothing more than to eradicate the undeserving people from this company, and we would hate to add your name to our list. There is a lot of potential in you, and a lot of good you could do around here, especially with the right people on your side. We want to make EAW a better place… a more virtuous place, and you are welcome to join us if you would like.
(Hannah smiles serenely at Link and then turns to look at Jesse for approval. He nods his head, which delights her, but Link doesn’t seem to be interested in her offer.)
Link Rexx: I would rather drink bleach than join whatever backwards crusade the two of you have going on. Rest assured I will do my part tonight to make sure we get the win, but beyond that? The two of you can get fucked.
(Link brushes past Jesse and Hannah, and heads out. Their match is next, but neither Jesse nor Hannah attempt to follow him. Hannah’s full lips curve into a pout and she looks up at Jesse.)
Hannah Barlow: I don’t trust him, sir.
(Jesse gives Hannah a reassuring smile and ruffles her hair.)
Jesse Barlow: It’s alright, Hannah. I’ll take care of him.
(That seems to satisfy Hannah and she follows Jesse. The scene fades to the ringside area.)
(Voltage fades back into the ringside area, and James and Rich are head talking.)
James Peters: Ladies and Gentleman, welcome back to Voltage! Coming up next is our first match of the night! It’s an exciting tag team bout, between newcomer Link Rexx and Jesse Barlow, who will face off with two men whose paths will once again cross, Zak Simmons and Shawn Sturgis! This match is an interesting clash of styles and personalities, it’s sure to deliver another great performance out of all four competitors!
Rich Russillo: Couldn’t have said it better myself, James. Although, can Shawn Sturgis and Zak Simmons put their troubled history to the side and work together to come out on top with a victory tonight? The wait is over, let’s dive right into this match!!
(‘Country’ by Upchruch begins to play as plays Zak Simmons enters the arena to a chorus of boos.)
Rich Russillo: Oh boy, the crowd sure do love this fella…But despite how you may feel about him, you can’t deny his results. He gets results and doesn’t give a damn how he does it, he is willing to cross any line, any boundary, as long as he gets what he needs. Is it honorable? No. Is it respectable? Hell no. Is it effective? Very much so. He has lived up to his promise, he has torn a war path through Voltage and looks to continue his hot streak tonight.
James Peters: I hate to agree with you, but Simmons has had a tremendous impact on Voltage and has shown to be quite a formidable threat. His matches with Shawn Sturgis have been brutal wars, with blood, sweat, and tears spilled in this rivalry. These two have a deep hatred for each other, but maybe somewhere under that hatred is a mutual respect. They’ll need every ounce of it tonight.
Bella Braxton: INTRODUCING FIRST…. WRESTLING OUT OF LEXINGTON, KENTUCKY …WEIGHING IN AT 245lbs…ZAAAAAKKK “THE MACHIIIINNEEEE” SIMMONNNNNSSSS!!
(Zak Simmons makes his way to the ring, not allowing the crowd’s harsh chants and attitude phase him.)
(‘Beautiful People’ begins to play as Shawn Sturgis makes his way to the ring.)
James Peters:Shawn Sturgis is one of the hottest new starts to emerge on Voltage! He has a very electric and unorthodox style, which combines Japanese-Strong Style, with an aerial, gravity defying style. He’s certainly got a bright future in EAW, but we’ve seen what this man will do to get at Zak Simmons, the lengths he will go…can he really put all that bitterness and hatred to the side and leave with a win?
Rich Russillo: I think so, these men are nothing if not intelligent. They have found their early success for a reason. It won’t be easy, but if these two men are as good as they’ve proven to be, they’ll be able to put their history to the side, win this match and leave with a win. Either way, Jesse Barlow and Link Rexx are in for an uphill battle against these two.

(‘Tokyo Ghoul’ by Highly Suspect begins to ring throughout the arena as Link Rexx makes his way onto the stage.)
James Peters: Another man the crowd love to hate. Link Rexx’s cocky attitude and disregard for the rules don’t make him a fan favorite by any stretch, but they could prove useful on Voltage. As cocky as he may be, his arsenal is packed with deadly weapons. He can drop you on your head, or tie up your legs and submit you, this guy is the real deal.
Bella Braxton: AND THEIR OPPONENTS….FIRST, WRESTLING OUT OF KANSAS CITY, MISSSSOURIIIII….WEIGHING IN AT 235lbs….LIIIINNNNNNKK REXXXXX!!!
(‘The Path’ by Senses Fail begins to play as Jesse Barlow and Hannah Marin enter the arena.)
Rich Russillo: I’m more than excited to see this guy perform tonight. He’s as cold blooded as they come, a true hunter. He loves the violence, the fighting and I that could very easily prove to be a deadly tool on Voltage. Link Rexx and Jesse Barlow have the potential to be a treacherous force on Voltage and in this match they have the chance to show it!
James Peters: That’s exactly right, Rich. Not every match is a championship match, or a main event match. But every match matters, because there are always important eyes on these matches. Impress the right person, you may just earned yourself a valuable opportunity in the near future. So if you’re not prepared to give one hundred percent in every match, do you really have any business being on Voltage, or even in EAW for that matter!
Bella Braxton: INTRODUCING HIS PARTNER…WRESTLING OUT OF HOBOKEN, NEW JERSEYYYY…WEIGHING IN AT 210lbs….JESSE “THE VIRTUUOOUUSSS” BARRRLOOOWWWW!!!
Rich Russillo: This youngster is a potent force, with no regard for your health. He might gouge your eyes, then stomp your head to the canvas. He also loves violence, to an unhealthy yextenet. A former ex-con, someone who shouldn’t be messed with, unless absolutely necessary. We saw a bit of a scuffle between Rexx and Barlow earlier tonight, it’ll be interesting to see how they operate as a team.
James Peters: 210lbs, 6’1 and his favorite weapon is the brass knuckles, talk about intimidating, sheesh. A potential alliance between these two could be dangerous, despite their lack of experience. Now everyone is here, ready and willing to fight! Let’s dive right into this match!!
(Jesse Barlow enters the ring quickly, motioning to the referee to begin the match.)

James Peters: HERE WE GO! Jesse Barlow and Shawn Sturgis are going to start this match, both men circle each other trying to gain an early advantage…But Jesse Barlow storms Zak Simmons, knocking him off the apron!! It’s a smart strategy to get in the head of Zak Simmons early, especially considering the tumultuous history between Simmons and Sturgis. Now Sturgis and Barlow lock up, jockeying for position…The larger Barlow bodies Shawn back to the corner, making the tag allowing Link Rexx to enter the ring…He delivers a NASTY boot to the midsection of Shawn Sturgis..THEN A JAWBREAKER TO SHAWN!! A GREAT SEQUENCE FROM LINK!! Rexx attempting to lift SHawn to his feet, potentially looking for a brainbuster?!?! HE’S GONNA DO IT, HE’S GONNA DROP SHAWN ON HIS HEAD, EARLY ON LOOKING TO END IT…BUT SHAWN STURGIS ESCAPES OUT THE BACK DOOR, HE TURNS IT INTO A GERMAN SUPLEX!! WHAT A MOVE FROM SHAWN, THE ATHLETICISM IS THROUGH THE ROOF!!
(Crowd sends a large cheer to Shawn Sturgis, commending him on his epic attack!)

(“Beautiful People” by Marily Manson begins to play and the referee quickly raises the hands of rivals Shawn Sturgis and Zak Simmons. Both men pull away from the referee and glare at one another, having put their differences aside for the sake of the match. After a moment, it’s Sturgis who holds out his hand. Another moment passes, and finally Simmons grasps it and gives it a shake.)
James Peters: I’m impressed at how well Simmons and Sturgis worked together tonight. They made one hell of a team, and it seems like both of them feel the same way, Rich.
Rich Russillo: Absolutely, James, but the same can’t be said for Link Rexx. Jesse promised he was going to deal with Link and he followed through on that. He left the newcomer for dead, after turning on him, and left the ring area with Hannah.
(Simmons and Sturgis celebrate their victory as Voltage fades to commercial.)
(Commercial break for Fitbit featuring EAW’s Most Beautiful Person, Xander Payne. Looks like Xander is determined to get this Best Body award back from Shortfuse PAKA!)
(Voltage returns from break and cuts to Bella, who is ready for the next match!)

Crowd: ONE FALL!
(‘Land of the Innocent’ by Feathers begins to play and the crowd absolutely erupts for Sarah Price. Her ovations seem to get louder and louder every week, but the fact that she is from England and is competing in her home country makes this particular ovation extra special.)
Bella Braxton: INTRODUCING FIRST… FROM LONDON, ENGLAND… WEIGHING IN AT 110 POUNDS… SHE IS ‘THE GUARDIAN ANGEL’ SARAH PRICE!!!
Rich Russillo: James, I’m excited to see what 2020 has in store for this talented newcomer. Since day one, the EAW Universe has been charmed by Sarah Price and her sunny, happy attitude. Everyone has been saying that there are big things in this young woman’s future, and I firmly believe that.
James Peters: As do I, Rich. A lot of people think Sarah’s attitude is to good to be true, but there is nothing fake about her whatsoever. She truly is a real life version of a superhero, and I expect 2020 to be Sarah’s breakout year!
(Sarah slides into the ring, all smiles, hyping up the crowd. Her music fades out and is soon replaced by “Stabbing In The Dark” by Ice Nine Kills. All the cheers Sarah had been receiving quickly turned to jeers as the dangerous Komatsu Ogawa steps onto the stage.)
Bella Braxton: AND HER OPPONENT… FROM TOKYO, JAPAN… WEIGHING IN AT 251 POUNDS… HE IS ‘THE SERPENT KING’ KOMATSU OGAWA!
Rich Russillo: I’m not sure if I really like this match for Sarah. I know she has a match coming up against Showdown’s Kensingten Calhoun-Astor on Dynasty next week for the Iconic Cup, but Komatsu might be her most dangerous opponent to date. I don’t want to take anything away from the people Sarah’s faced in the past, or from Kensingten, but Komatsu is a dirty fighter. Sarah might be in over her head.
James Peters: She could be, but Sarah has overcome the odds before. That being said, Komatsu is going into the match with the knowledge that Sarah is someone who can handle anything that gets thrown her way, and no doubt he will be prepared. He is going to put Sarah through Hell and it’ll be interesting to see if she can survive this match.
(Komatsu gets into the ring and licks his lips as he eyes Sarah. She glares back at him and sensing that both competitors are ready to fight, the referee calls for the bell.)
(Ding! Ding! Ding!)
James Peters: This is such a mismatch on paper, Rich.
Rich Russillo: It is but these fans here in Manchester are solidly behind their country woman. Komatsu Ogawa might be a sick, disgusting bastard, but Sarah has been making a name for herself here in EAW and she held her own inside the Specialists Chamber back at Road to Redemption.
James Peters: Ogawa and Sarah are circling one another, and the look on Ogawa’s face is disturbing. He looks like he wants to eat Sarah alive. Sarah seems ready to go, though, and I give her credit. She is motioning for the crowd to get loud right now.
Crowd: SARAH! SARAH! SARAH! SARAH! SARAH! SARAH!
Rich Russillo: Sarah wants a lock up, but Ogawa is laughing at her. The two have stopped circling one another, and are now standing in the center of the ring. The size difference goes without saying. Ogawa has a foot on Sarah and more than 100 pounds. Sarah doesn’t seem impressed that she’s being mocked and she shoves Ogawa in the chest!
Sarah Price (Off Mic): Let’s go!
James Peters: Ogawa replies by pie-facing Sarah! She quickly gets back up and nails Ogawa in the jaw with a forearm! She fires off several more forearms before grabbing him and attempting to whip him across the ropes! Ogawa doesn’t budge! Sarah tries again but Ogawa replies with a stiff right hand that connects with her jaw and knocks her flat on her back! Ogawa with a quick cover!

Rich Russillo: Sarah kicks out!
James Peters: Ogawa snatches Sarah up by the hair and even though she’s dazed from that punch, Sarah has the presence of mind to nail Ogawa with a kick! The kick catches the Japanese Elitist off guard and that allows Sarah to kick him again! Ogawa loses his grip and Sarah is unloading now! She is connecting with Ogawa’s legs and thighs, and she just kicked him in the knee! Ogawa stumbles and Sarah leaps in the air… connecting with a beautiful dropkick! Ogawa falls back into the corner and Sarah takes off running! She hits a beautiful handstand BUT OGAWA JUST CAUGHT HER BY THE LEGS!
Rich Russillo: OGAWA DEADLIFTS SARAH UP BY THE LEGS AND VIOLENTLY SLAMS HER FACE FIRST INTO THE MAT!
James Peters: :damn:
Rich Russillo: Ogawa steps on Sarah’s head and walks over her, before reaching down and scooping her up! He puts Sarah in the powerbomb position and looks to slam her down, but Sarah is fighting back with punches to the head! She is able to wiggle out of Ogawa’s clutches and catches him square in the jaw with a right hand! She punches Ogawa again, and goes to kick him in the gut but Ogawa catches her by the leg and ruthlessly snaps her down to the mat! He maintains control of the leg and wraps Sarah in a figure four leglock!
James Peters: Sarah’s never going to be able to reverse this hold so she really needs to dig deep and start reaching for the ropes.
Crowd: LET’S GO SARAH! LET’S GO SARAH! LET’S GO SARAH! LET’S GO SARAH! LET’S GO SARAH! LET’S GO SARAH!
Rich Russillo: Sarah is desperately reaching behind her, but she’s just out of reach! She’s forcing herself up on her forearms now! She’s actually trying to reverse this and her effort seems to amuse the hell out of Komatsu Ogawa! Sarah lays back on the mat, but that brings the referee into the picture to count her shoulders!

James Peters: Sarah gets her shoulder up, and it’s starting to dawn on Ogawa that he’s not going to make Sarah tap out with a figure four. He releases the move and Sarah immediately rolls towards the apron of the ring. Ogawa slips out from the opposite side and crouches down, out of Sarah’s line of vision. Meanwhile, Voltage’s superhero is sitting up and rubbing her knees, trying to get some feeling back into her legs. She held on for several minutes in that submission which shows just how resilient she is, and why so many people are labeling Sarah Price as one of the future faces of this business.
Rich Russillo: But look, James! Ogawa is sneaking over to her and he clubs Sarah in the back! She tumbles off the apron and Ogawa is putting the boots to her! He’s absolutely stomping the shit out of Sarah and now he has her by the hair again! Ogawa uses Sarah’s hair to lift her up and swing her into the steel ringsteps! Jesus Christ.
James Peters: He’s not letting go! Ogawa slings Sarah into the ringsteps three more times before letting go and stomping on her some more!
Crowd: LET’S GO SARAH! LET’S GO SARAH! LET’S GO SARAH! LET’S GO SARAH! LET’S GO SARAH! LET’S GO SARAH!
Rich Russillo: Komatsu Ogawa just flipped this crowd off and now they’re booing the hell out of him.
James Peters: This monster doesn’t give a fuck! He just kicked those steps away from the ring and exposed the sharp edge of them.
Rich Russillo: The referee is out of the ring now and he is begging Ogawa to get back inside. Ogawa shoves him away and he grabs Sarah by the hair once again. He slams her forehead off the edge of ringsteps and Sarah Price is busted open!
James Peters: Blood is pouring down Sarah’s face and only now is Ogawa rolling her back inside the ring. Sarah drags herself into the corner and puts a shaking hand up to check that wound. She looks at the blood covering her hand and reaches for the ropes, trying to help herself up.
Rich Russillo: BUT HERE COMES OGAWA! RUNNING KNEE STRIKE!!
James Peters: SARAH THROWS HERSELF TO THE GROUND! OGAWA’S KNEE SLAMS INTO THE TURNBUCKLE AND SARAH PULLS HIM DOWN AND ROLLS HIM UP WITH A SCHOOL GIRL PIN!

Rich Russillo: Ogawa muscles his way out and runs the ropes! Sarah is back to her feet and eats an absolutely devastating knee to the face! Ogawa catches her before she falls and he hoists her up into an Argentine backbreaker rack! HE DROPS SARAH WITH A DOUBLE KNEE BACKBREAKER! Ogawa calls that ‘Bone Sliver’ and he quickly hooks the legs for a cover!

James Peters: Sarah kicks out!
Rich Russillo: Ogawa looks pissed that Sarah is still in this match, and he mounts her, unloading rights and lefts! Ogawa digs his fingers into that wound and fresh blood begins to pour from Sarah’s forehead.
James Peters: :lupe: Sarah has taken a lot of punishment in this match and I’m worried about what’s going to happen to her if she continues.
Rich Russillo: Ogawa helps Sarah to her feet, lifts her up, and presses her above his head! The crowd is screaming at Ogawa to leave Sarah alone and he replies by dropping her face first across the top turnbuckle! Sarah crumbles to the mat and Ogawa is smiling like the sick bastard he really is.
James Peters: I think it’s pathetic he is taunting the crowd right now.
Rich Russillo: The members of the EAW Universe that are packed inside the Manchester Arena certainly find Ogawa pathetic right now and he responds to their hate by violently kicking Sarah in the ribs and forcing her onto her back. Ogawa places his foot across Sarah’s face and demands that the referee count the pin right now. The referee looks a little reluctant….
Komatsu Ogawa (Off Mic): Do your damn job!
James Peters: The referee finally drops down and makes the count.

Rich Russillo: SARAH GETS HER SHOULDER UP!
Komatsu Ogawa (Off Mic): WHAT?!
James Peters: :lupe: Ogawa just stomped on Sarah’s face and goes right for the referee! He’s blaming the referee for not immediately counting when he first pinned Sarah!
Rich Russillo: I hate to say it, but the referee did waste precious seconds by hesitating to make the count. Ogawa has an argument here, but I’m not mad about it. This guy is a bad apple.
James Peters: Ogawa has taken the referee by the shirt and forced him into the corner! He’s in the referee’s face, shouting obscenities at him, and the referee is warning him to back off. They are continuing to argue and Ogawa raises his fist in the air. He’s gunna punch the referee and get himself disqualified!
Rich Russillo: LOOK! Sarah Price is back up and she grabs Ogawa by the arm, stopping him from hitting the referee! Ogawa lets go of the ref and whirls around! He rips his arm free of Sarah’s grasps and grabs her by the hair! Ogawa is screaming in Sarah’s bloody face but she nails him with an uppercut! Ogawa grabs her by the tights and lifts he up in the air BUT SARAH JUST FLIPPED OVER HIM TURNING THAT INTO A BEAUTIFUL SALIDA DEL SOL! SARAH HOOKS OGAWA’S LEGS FOR THE COVER!

Rich Russillo: Sarah knows this is the opening she’s been waiting for though! She’s gotten her second wind and she’s back up! Sarah leaps over Ogawa and runs the ropes! He’s sitting back up but Sarah just hit him with the ‘Plot Twist’! The ripcord knee strike has knocked Komatsu Ogawa flat on his back and Sarah quickly heads to the corner! She climbs up the turnbuckles and gets set up on the top!
James Peters: SARAH WITH THE ‘HAPPY ENDING’ MOONSAULT!!!
Rich Russillo: OGAWA JUST ROLLED OUT OF THE WAY!!!!
James Peters: SARAH CRASHES INTO THE MAT!!!!!
Rich Russillo: Komatsu Ogawa is unable to capitalize immediately but he’s sitting up. He sees Sarah writhing in pain in the middle of the ring and he forces himself to all fours. He crawls over to Sarah and wraps her in another figure four leglock!
James Peters: Sarah is fighting with all she has right now and is desperately trying to reverse this! She wasn’t able to do it earlier, and she still can’t get the job done!
Rich Russillo: One thing I have to point out is that Sarah’s struggle is hindering Ogawa from bridging that figure four and turning it into his finisher, ‘Rat Trap.’ Sarah is twisting her body and look! She’s close to reversing!
James Peters: But Ogawa reaches out and grabs her by the hair! He pulls Sarah up and headbutts her, which does nothing but reopen that wound! Blood is pouring down Sarah’s face once again but she swings wildly! Sarah’s left hand connects with the side of Ogawa’s face, and she swings again! Her right hand connects with Ogawa’s temple! Sarah just starts free swinging and she is connecting with Ogawa’s face and head with both fists now! Ogawa lets go of the figure four and Sarah immediately rolls to the outside of the ring! She grips the ropes to haul herself up but Ogawa is already up and barreling towards her!
Rich Russillo: Sarah ducks between the ropes, catching Ogawa in the gut with a shoulder! She clubs him in the back of the head and leaps over the ropes… bringing Ogawa down with a sunset flip! Sarah Price is a hell of a lot tougher than she looks and that’s why she is Voltage’s own superhero queen! :blessed:

Rich Russillo: Ogawa immediately kicks his legs together, which forces Sarah to let go of the pin and he rolls backwards, getting up to his feet. He looks to catch Sarah in the face with a knee, but she catches it, and jerks Ogawa down to the mat! Sarah grabs Ogawa’s legs and flips over, landing on his shoulders for a pin!

Rich Russillo: Both Elitists return to their feet and Ogawa lunges at Sarah, looking to bring her down with a clothesline! Ogawa absolutely clobbers her with a back elbow, and he grabs her around the neck… looking to spike her with a DDT! Sarah fights her way free and she rushes for the ropes! Ogawa is right behind her! He grabs Sarah from behind and rolls her up, but Sarah rolls through! Sarah is up first and THERE IT IS! ‘BITTERSWEET ENDING’ SUPERKICK! OGAWA IS OUT AND SARAH FALLS ON TOP OF HIM FOR THE COVER!

James Peters: What a victory for Sarah Price! Komatsu Ogawa basically dominated this match and busted Sarah open, but she hung in there and continued to fight, and just got a great win.
Rich Russillo: This is exactly what Sarah needed to begin the new year. Since arriving here in EAW, she’s shown flashes of brilliance. A lot of people are excited about her, and this year could end up being very good to Sar- WAIT A SECOND!
James Peters: SOMEONE STOP THIS MAN!
Rich Russillo: KOMATSU OGAWA JUST CLOBBERED SARAH FROM BEHIND AND IS BEATING THE SNOT OUT OF HER! THIS IS NOT RIGHT!
James Peters: The referee tries to intervene but Ogawa just clocked him with a knockout punch that has him out cold on the mat! Ogawa deadlifts Sarah up and wraps his arms around her neck! He’s got a sleeperhold cinched in right now, calling that move ‘Eternal Rest’. What a sore fucking loser! Sarah won this match fair and square!
(All of a sudden, the jeers from the crowd turn into cheers.)
Rich Russillo: WHOA! SIERRA BRADFORD JUST HIT THE RING AND ABSOLUTELY DESTROYED KOMATSU OGAWA WITH ‘ELECTRIC FEEL’! THE SHINING WIZARD HAS COMPLETELY TAKEN KOMATSU OUT!!!
(Sierra has turned her attention to Sarah, checking on the other girl. EAW officials and some members of the medical staff have come down to the ring. Two officials pull Komatsu Ogawa out of the ring and begin helping him up the ramp, while medical checks on Sarah and the referee. A disgusted Sierra is standing in the ring with her hands on her hips, glaring at Ogawa has he is escorted towards the back.)
(Voltage fades to commercial break.)
(Commercial break for 20/20 on ABC. Take a look back at the story of Lorena Bobbitt, who was charged with attacking her husband and severing his penis back in 1993.)
(When Voltage returns, we are taken to the backstage medical area. Sarah Price is being tended to by one of EAW’s OTHER doctors, Dr. Winston Brett. He has cleaned up her face during the break, tended to the wounds Komatsu Ogawa inflicted on her, and is making sure she is alright. Sierra Bradford is standing beside Sarah and finally Dr. Brett steps back.)
Dr. Winston Brett: All cleaned up and good to go. The wound is superficial and doesn’t require any stitches. Just take it easy the next two days, and you’ll be good to go come Dynasty.
(Sarah nods and Dr. Brett takes his leave to go check on the referee that Komatsu knocked out. Once he’s gone, Sarah lets out a sigh.)
Sierra Bradford: What’s wrong?
(An annoyed look crosses Sarah’s face.)
Sarah Price: Bullies. This company is full of them and I won’t stand for it. I know that I’m still considered new around here, but I’m not about to sit on my hands and let people like Komatsu Ogawa run rampant around here.
Sierra Bradford: Girl, I don’t blame you. His attack was uncalled for because you beat him fair and square. If my experience the other night on Dynasty taught me anything, it’s that people around here are desperate for wins and will do whatever it takes to get them. Despite busting you open, Komatsu still wasn’t good enough to get the job done. It doesn’t shock me that he acted out like that.
Sarah Price: Well I appreciate you coming down to the ring and fending him off.
(Sierra just shrugs.)
Sierra Bradford: It was the right thing to do, and besides, I think you’re kind of a badass and I appreciate that about you.
(A smile creeps across Sarah’s face.)
Sarah Price: You’re pretty great in your own right. I’ve enjoyed watching you so far and I was really rooting for you against Minerva. I hate that she cheated, but like you referenced, desperate people do desperate things. Hopefully I can go to Dynasty next week and get a win for Voltage.
Sierra Bradford: I got my money on you! Voltage needs to bring home the Iconic Cup and between you and me, I don’t want Joy Cassidy to be the Voltage woman who does it.
(Sarah giggles, basically agreeing with Sierra. The two girls smile at one another, both clearly comfortable in one another’s company.)
Sarah Price: You have a match on Dynasty as well, right?
(Sierra blushes.)
Sierra Bradford: I kinda do.
Sarah Price: I definitely know why you’re blushing. That aside, I was inside that chamber with Darcy May Morgan and she is an incredible competitor. This match is huge for you. The Specialists Champion AND the World Heavyweight Champion are going to be standing across from you. No better chance to make an impact. I’m excited that I get to watch the match in person.
Sierra Bradford: It’s honestly a match I never saw coming, but you can bet I plan on making the most of it. I’m not going to let Drake down, but more importantly, I’m not going to let myself down either especially with the caliber of competition standing across from me. I took a risk by getting into this business as a wrestler, and CERTAIN PEOPLE were unhappy about it. Because I lost something important thanks to my decision, I have to make sure it was worth. So far, it’s worth it.
(Sierra flashes Sarah a smile and looks down at her phone. She’s got an incoming call and her face absolutely lights up as Drake’s name flashes across the screen.)
Sierra Bradford: I have to take this. It’s Drake! Hey, Sarah? If you ever want to hang out or whatever, let me know. Everyone needs a friend and I’m not opposed to having a tag team partner…
(Sarah looks a bit caught off guard, but a grateful look flickers across her face.)
Sarah Price: I would like that. We’ll catch up later. You go take your phone call.
(Sierra beams and heads off, leaving Sarah to her thoughts. Voltage slowly fades elsewhere.)
(When Voltage reopens, the viewing audience really isn’t sure where they are. All they know is that they’re looking at a dark television screen. There’s not one ounce of light and the silence is eerie. It stays silent for awhile too, leaving everyone questioning what is really going on. Finally there’s the slightest hint of a whisper. Whatever this voice is saying isn’t audible at all. You have to strain your ears to even hear it, but you know that it’s there. Slowly, the whisper gets a bit louder, which makes the voice a little more clear, and finally, the words are heard plain as day.)
???: Start anew.
(A very dim light cuts on and in the shadows, Lars Grier is seen sitting against what appears to be a plain, concrete wall. His long, damp black hair is hanging in his face and after a moment, Lars brushes it back. His dark eyes hold no emotion, but clearly the returning Elitist is a changed man. While he doesn’t look any different, he carries himself differently. The aura around him is different. The mystique is different. This man… this individual who was once full of such promise, who vanished from Elite Answers Wrestling without a trace more than a year ago, now looks to make his mark on the sport that accepted him and then rejected him.)
Lars Grier: I have repeated those two simple words to myself over and over. ‘Start anew.’ And every time I’ve said them, I’ve had to think about what they truly mean to me. If I really want to begin again, become reborn, and embrace this life and what it has to offer me, I need to let go of what could have been. What could have been, could have been great. And what was great would have turned into something legendary. But life doesn’t turn out how we expect it too, and I find myself in a position to, of course, start anew.
(Lars pauses for a moment to allow his words to sit there.)
Lars Grier: I could have picked any moment to return. I could have targeted any Elitist, and trust me, it was a decision I mulled over and looked to Him for guidance about. It didn’t take long to settle on one particular individual; a woman with a last name that means something around here. Names and faces have never really struck a chord with me, but the contract that Consuela Rose Ava holds in her hands is something that I see as a key to unlocking many doors for me. There is a lot that resonates with me as it pertains to Consuela. For awhile, Consuela’s worst nemesis was herself. I can relate to that because I’m the person who orchestrated my own fall from grace. I allowed my feelings to consume me and to cripple me, and eventually I found myself drowning. A sabbatical was needed, and Consuela took that same path. She might not have returned to Elite Answers Wrestling reborn like I have been, but she came back with a fire lit and passion that took her to a third and historic Specialists Championship reign, and to that 24/7 contract she currently clings too.
Lars Grier: I have watched Consuela defend herself and her lack of action in regards to the contract several times the past few months, and it’s all getting a bit redundant. Her excuses have grown tiresome and I find myself weary. Every time she speaks, I rub my bloodshot eyes and wonder if she will ever pull the trigger, or if she will continue to show this unfounded bravado. In my humble opinion, Consuela is afraid of failure. She’s had several setbacks in the past and have allowed them to break her, and an unsuccessful cash in of something she worked so hard for would only trigger her own inadequacy. That is a fact I am sure she will want to skirt around and disregard, but we can not ignore her reactions or her words. No one wants to suffer and deal with the crippling depression that comes with realizing that this world is cold and unforgiving, but how much longer is Consuela going to play this game? She’s made the bold claim that she’s decided what championship she will pursue thanks to her Pain for Pride prize, but actions speak so much louder than words. Like everyone else, I am tired of waiting for Consuela to make her decision, and I have come back to this place to make myself a household name again. That 24/7 Contract would allow me and Him, all of us in fact, to chase whatever it is we want in this company. I’m sure there will be discussions about that, and once that decision is finalized, I will do what needs to be done with that contract and collect the championship He wants us to have.
(Lars narrows his eyes.)
Lars Grier: I picked you Consuela because I want that piece of paper you cling too. I want your crutch, and the one thing you have that could propel you to the top of this company. I’m not Korey Gaines or Veena Adams, as I am on a level they could only dream of being on. Both of them failed to pry that thing from you, but at King of Elite, I will do what neither of them could do, and that is a warning you should probably take seriously. I think you know exactly what I’m capable of, and that I will do whatever it takes to start anew and fulfill the expectations that were placed on my shoulders. I was born to be one of the all-time greats, and not someone who would become a glorified bust. You have let your fear of failure keep you from cashing in, and I’m going to stop you before you try and tell me that there hasn’t been a chance for that to happen yet. Life in general is full of opportunities, you just refuse to seize any of them because you’re a coward. You took matches against Gaines and Adams because you know they never had an actual chance of beating you. I’ll be curious to see how you reply to me, and whether or not you willingly accept this challenge.
(A slight smile tugs at the corners of Lar’s mouth.)

(Shortfuse PAKA steps out onto the stage and immediately stalks his way down the ramp and towards the ring. Provencal tags along behind PAKA, occasionally distracted by the fact that he keeps conversing with fans and showing them pictures of his children. PAKA reaches back to grab Provencal and pulls him along before he climbs up into the ring and leans back into a corner as his music fades. Provencal claps and cheers outside the ring.)
Bella Braxton: And his opponent…
(AC/DC’s Thunderstruck explodes into the arena.)
Bella Braxton: From Oklahoma City, Oklahoma… he is the Aerial Wonder… KOOOORRRREY GAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNES!
(Korey Gaines runs out onto the stage and throws his hands up for the crowd! Gaines backflips on the stage for a loud pop before running down the ramp towards the ring. Korey Gaines climbs up the turnbuckle from the outside and throws his hands up for the crowd. He flips over the top rope and into the ring.)
James Peters: First round of the King of Elite Tournament. Korey Gaines versus Shortfuse PAKA! How do you feel about this one, partner?
Rich Russillo: Honestly, I got a feeling about this one. But really, this is KOE we talking about here. This one could go either way!
James Peters: You realize you didn’t tell us your opinion, right? You completely dodged the entire question.
Rich Russillo: Did I? Huh. Well, anyway, I can say right now, without hesitation, beyond the shadow of a doubt, with no qualms, ifs, ands, or buts, without beating around the bush, that…
(Ding Ding Ding!)
Rich Russillo: And there’s the bell!
James Peters: Shortfuse PAKA and Korey Gaines circling each other early on here. Gaines moves in with a discus elbow smash that catches PAKA right across the face. PAKA responds almost immediately with a powerful open palm to the chest of Gaines! Gaines shuddering as he stumbles back and PAKA looks for an opportunity to capitalize on this early momentum.
Rich Russillo: And he better if he wants to move on to the second round of the King of Elite Tournament! There’s no room for error here. PAKA lays into Gaines with a series of quick palm strikes, staggering the Aerial Wonder back towards the ropes. Gaines is backed into the ropes and PAKA presses his advantage with a vicious palm strike right to Korey’s face. PAKA stepping back now as Gaines holds his face in pain.
James Peters: Gaines using the ropes to try and get some offense going! Gaines hops up onto that middle rope and springboards off… jumping knee to the face of Shortfuse PAKA! PAKA stumbles backward as Gaines plants his feet on the mat. PAKA rushes for Gaines, Gaines leaps up and over PAKA, PAKA hits the ropes and comes back for Gaines with incredible speed. Gaines drops and catches PAKA with a stylish drop toe hold that sends PAKA face-first into the mat.
Rich Russillo: Cheap move by Gaines there. Legal but cheap!
James Peters: Cheap? How?
Rich Russillo: Because Shortfuse PAKA’s can’t see his toes! How is he supposed to defend against a move like that?!
James Peters: … Oy vey.
Rich Russillo: PAKA back on his feet now and squaring up with Korey Gaines. Gaines leaps at PAKA but PAKA catches him! PAKA locking his arms around Gaines! Gaines shaking his head for the only moment he gets before PAKA sends him sailing across the ring with that belly-to-belly throw that he makes look so easy! Gaines hits the mat hard and rolls right into the corner.
James Peters: Gaines using the ropes to pull himself up into a seated position in the corner. Gaines looks to be favoring his back a little now after that show of strength from Shortfuse PAKA. PAKA’s not letting up, running after Gaines and crushing him into the corner with a brutal hip attack! Gaines looks both disgusted and hurt as PAKA steps away from the cracked spirit of Korey Gaines.
Rich Russillo: PAKA giving Gaines no time to recover, grabbing him by the arm and pulling Gaines to his feet. Gaines is wobbly but PAKA hooks him up for a vertical suplex! PAKA’s got Gaines up and wait! No! Korey Gaines drops! Down on PAKA’s shoulders! Reverse Frankensteiner!
James Peters: What a way to stay in this match! Shortfuse PAKA is crumpled on the mat and Korey Gaines is giving himself a moment to breathe. These two individuals are both looking to advance to the next round of the King of Elite Tournament and right now this match is anybody’s. Gaines showing off his amazing agility and PAKA proving once again how superior his strength is. This round could truly go to either one of these fantastic elitists.
Rich Russillo: Shortfuse PAKA getting to his feet now. Provencal on the outside cheering him on. Gaines keeping an eye on the rising PAKA and sends him right back down to the mat with an in-ring baseball slide kick that takes PAKA’s knee right out! PAKA hits the mat hard and Korey Gaines rolls away like the coward he is!
James Peters: That’s called strategy.
Rich Russillo: I know but it’s pronounced cowardice.
James Peters: Despite my commentating partner’s favoritism, Korey Gaines and Shortfuse PAKA meet up in the center of the ring once again! Shortfuse PAKA takes Korey Gaines down to the mat with a strong Lou Thesz Press! The sore back of Korey Gaines feels all of that one and Shortfuse PAKA adds some palm striking spice to that move by laying into Korey without even a moment of hesitation. PAKA’s hands are moving too fast to count but rest assured Gaines feels every single one of those heavy-handed open palm strikes.
Rich Russillo: Shades of E. Honda there as Shortfuse PAKA retakes control of this match. PAKA climbs off Gaines and immediately pulls Korey up. Wasting no time at all, Shortfuse PAKA plants Gaines with a brutal DDT! Gaines flattens after the impact and Shortfuse PAKA immediately goes for the cover.
OOOOONNNEEEE!
James Peters: KICKOUT! Korey Gaines kicks out after one!
Rich Russillo: The adrenaline is strong with this one.
James Peters: Emotion from both the Arch Enemies here as PAKA smacks the mat before getting to his feet and Provencal smacks the barricade on the outside. And it looks like that hurt his hand. Gaines has enough time to pull himself back to his feet and goes on the offensive once again. Gaines catches PAKA with a beautiful dropsault! PAKA recovers but Gaines is right there with a dropkick to send him backward once more! PAKA rushes Gaines once more… TILT A WHIRL! Korey Gaines with the tilt-a-whirl that he converts right into an inverted headlock elbow drop!
Rich Russillo: Shortfuse PAKA is down and Provencal’s up on the apron! Gaines going for the cover here…
James Peters: But the official has turned his back on the match to address Provencal!
Rich Russillo: For no reason! Provencal’s back on the arena floor! He was just checking on his brother-in-law!
James Peters: Right. By giving him just enough time to power out of Korey’s pin.
Rich Russillo: Coincidental timing. Anyway, Shortfuse PAKA is locked up with Korey Gaines in the center of the ring. PAKA gets the best of this exchange and rolls behind Gaines. He locks his arms around Korey’s waist and takes him backward with a flawless german suplex! Gaines smacks hard into the mat and pops right back up into a seated position. His body’s just reacting to the punishment at this point.
James Peters: And Korey Gaines being punished some more with Shortfuse PAKA connecting with a vicious penalty kick! PAKA bowls right through Gaines with that one! Gaines is flat on his back and looks like he’s completely out of it. Shortfuse PAKA might be looking to put Gaines away now by grabbing Gaines and lifting his mostly lifeless body up! Shortfuse PAKA looking for a powerbomb!
Rich Russillo: Gaines stirring at the last possible second and grabs onto the back of PAKA’s neck! Gaines hammering away at PAKKA’s skull to try and save himself! PAKA keeps his footing and his grip, clenching his teeth through the pain of Korey’s assault! PAKA’s fighting through the fists and raises Gaines higher!
James Peters: POWERBOMB! Gaines is almost sent through the mat with that one! Gaines it out and Shortfuse PAKA shakes off some of those cobwebs from Korey’s defending assault. PAKA looks at the downed Gaines and then over to Provencal! Provencal cheering on his brother-in-law! I think I know what PAKA’s thinking here.
Rich Russillo: SHORTFUSE LOCK!
James Peters: PAKA has this move locked in! Gaines is struggling to get to the ropes! PAKA tries to keep the pressure on but it looks like Korey Gaines is built of tougher stock than he may look! Gaines drags PAKA with him as he gets closer to the ropes. He reaches out, fingers so close to the ropes! PAKA tries to pull Gaines away. Gaines grabs the bottom rope! The official’s right there and PAKA’s forced to break the hold!
Rich Russillo: PAKA was moments away from putting this match away. But, once again, Korey Gaines takes the easy way out.
James Peters: Getting out of the Shortfuse Lock is easy?
Rich Russillo: No. That’s extremely difficult. Which is why Gaines just went for the ropes instead.
James Peters: We’ve got to get you some glasses.
Rich Russillo: So I can see how wrong you are? Hard pass. PAKA measuring, eyes on Gaines as he gets to his feet. PAKA rushes Gaines and goes for a running lariat! Gaines digs down deep to counter with a strong superkick! PAKA’s head is snapped back violently as he goes down. Gaines wasting not a moment. Gaines hits those ropes, springboards off and hits an incredible moonsault!
James Peters: Korey Gaines not giving up! Gaines heading to the corner and climbing up to the top turnbuckle. PAKA’s down on the mat. Gaines motioning to the crowd! He’s got PAKA just where he wants him! He calls for it! The Okie Dokie!
Rich Russillo: Wait! Provencal’s on the outside of the ring! He’s… he’s actually, actively trying to get Korey’s attention.
Provencal: (off-mic) Bonjour, Korey! Hello! Look at me direction! Yoohoo! Over here!
Rich Russillo: What in the hell…
James Peters: Korey Gaines looking at Provencal now. Gaines is looking confused! Provencal’s climbing up onto the apron and he’s got his wallet out! He’s… he’s trying to show Gaines the pictures of his children! Gaines is shouting at him to move! The official’s headed in that direction as well!
Rich Russillo: And so is Shortfuse PAKA! The official directing Provencal to get down! Gaines watching his step as Provencal climbs down. Gaines doesn’t see PAKA until its too late! PAKA with an open palm strike to Gaines! Gaines loses his balance and PAKA pulls Gaines onto his shoulders! Oh this is it! I know what’s coming now!
James Peters: Shortfuse PAKA runs across the ring and aims Gaines right at the turnbuckle. DEATH VALLEY DRIVER! THE COMPACT DRIVER! PAKA HITS IT!

(Voltage fades back and cuts to an interview that was filmed earlier in the day with Sofia Clarke and Raven Roberts. The two women sit in the stands inside the empty Manchester Arena. Raven has her Universal Women’s Championship draped across her lap and both women are dressed casually.)
Sofia Clarke: Raven, thanks for joining me.
Raven Roberts: No problem. Thanks for having me.
Sofia Clarke: At Road to Redemption you retained your Universal Women’s Championship against a very game challenger in Jenny Cien. I know it felt great to get through that match and focus on your next opponent who is a woman that you are pretty familiar with. What went through your mind as you arrived at Dynasty the other night to confront Sienna Jade?
Raven Roberts: Well, first it very surreal. Considering where I’ve come from, to be the first person to appear on EAW Television in 2020 and to do so as a World Champion… it was a special moment. And as much as I love our Voltage fans, Dynasty welcomed me just as warmly. But as nice as that was, I had my intentions clear for that night. Sienna Jade stole her opportunity to fight for the title through shortcuts. Attacking Serena from behind, possibly ending her career, it went way farther than it had to. But I’m not afraid of Sienna Jade. She tries to bully and throw her and her man’s weight around on Dynasty, but that shit isn’t going to fly with me. We have a history. And no, it doesn’t air in my favor. But the only thing I wanted that night was to look her in the eyes and tell her the truth. That there’s no way she takes this title away from me. Qatar will be the moment that Sienna Jade is finally humbled, and I’ll be more than happy to do it.
Sofia Clarke: Is revenge on your mind, or is it much deeper than that?
Raven Roberts: Revenge… is maybe a poor choice of words. There’s going to be a lot of talk I’m sure about who’s in who’s head. So let’s lay the facts out clean. Many major moments of my career have been stolen by Sienna Jade. She got the better of me in the Empire tag title match at Pain for Pride when I first came into the company. And we’ve faced twice before in singles matches, both with high stakes. In the Empress of Elite tournament she cheated to steal the win against me. And the same happens at Grand Rampage in the World Championship match last year when she hit me with the title while the referee couldn’t see. So Sienna is right. I’ve never actually beaten her. But one on one, she’s never beaten me without cheating either. She can clamor on all she wants about who actually won the matches but she knows she has to dig into her bag of tricks to actually stand a chance against me. So to cut all the bull, yeah, she’s in my head. Because I want to finally get that win over her. Seeing as she was the one who stood on top in REVOLT! when I first came around, it’s something that I’ve busted my ass for. But at the same time, I know I’m in her head as well, because she knows she can’t beat truly beat me. Of all the opponents Sienna has faced and be pressed against there’s one thing in common. They all faded away. Lexi Sheckler. Astraea Jordan. Even Serena Bennett. But there’s one, just one, who has refused to let anything take them away from that ring. Only one who hasn’t taken breaks, walked away from the ring, or been so fragile to stay on the injured list time and time again. Me. So forgive any arrogance that comes from this, but I know for a fact that there’s only one person who can truly wipe that shit eating grin off of Jade’s face once and for all. Raven Roberts. Me. The Universal Women’s Champion. I know people will look at our past and write off the result of the match. But I’ve made a career, an entire life out of defying the odds. There’s not one person who looked at me in the EAW/REVOLT! merger and saw me sitting here today with this title over my shoulder. But lo and behold. I’ve made my mistakes. But I’ve also forged a trail that I’d bet not many have the fortitude to follow. So whatever tricks Sienna has up her sleeves, whatever comes my way… bring it on.
Sofia Clarke: You have stated several times that being Universal Women’s Champion means a lot to you, and you plan to elevate that championship to greater heights than the previous holder. How would you rate your reign so far?
Raven Roberts: Honestly… I don’t know how to answer that. I know I was overreacting early on about the expectations I had for my reign. But at the same time, I know there’s so much more I could be doing with the title, and I want to do it all. Defend it until there’s no challengers left. Set unbreakable records. Defend it in match types that test every skill I have. To rate something like a title reign… I think would mean I have to have a comprehensible level of satisfaction with it. And I just don’t have that. Not that I’m not proud to be the champion or that I’m unhappy with anything… but just that I can’t really put a scale on it. I’m the type of person that I always look at what I’m doing and I think, what more can I add to it? I’m always looking for the next level, the next step. I think at least in my head… I’ll always have just one more thing left to prove. So maybe when it’s all over I could look back and consider a rating for it. But for now I’ve still got too much left to do. Too much left to fight for.
Sofia Clarke: Realistically, we know that title reigns don’t last forever. Have you thought about that yet? Have you thought about what you’d like to do next?
Raven Roberts: I haven’t really put much thought into that if I’m honest. I don’t want to look beyond the title I’m currently holding if that makes sense, focusing on what I have and all that. If you want a career goal list… it’s maybe too easy to say but I’d like to see myself become a proper triple crown winner. I know literally everyone talks about pulling this off, but there’s a reason for that. It’s a major accomplishment. And one I would love to add to what I believe is becoming a Hall of Fame resume for myself. I still get all the comments about the titles I’ve held, talking about how unimportant people want to say the New Breed division is or how my Universal title isn’t a real world title because only women can fight for it… and it’s all trash. I mean we know that. It’s a base level excuse people try to say to discredit you when they have nothing better to add. It’s the argument of a weak minded fool. But to look at both my championships I’ve had in the two years since coming here, the fact that people still look for ways to discredit them is just an insult to everything I’ve been through. I mean, they don’t even apply the New Breed Championship to the triple crown, despite the fact that it was being billed above any other non-World Championships by the time I was done with it. So, gun to head, if I’d have to name something to work towards beyond the Universal Women’s Championship… it’d probably be the triple crown alongside winning one of the other three World Championships. And you know, I’ve got Cash in the Vault on my resume. Winning another of the big three in King of Elite or the Grand Rampage is something I’ve always dreamed of. So there’s that to work for as well.
Sofia Clarke (smiling mischievously): How about a Unified Tag Team Championship reign with your significant other?
Raven Roberts (blushing): Heh. Well that would be part of the triple crown right? A proper tag title run? I mean… Rex and I have kept Fire and Ice as an actively listed tag team for a reason. It’s something we both want. It’s not been our primary focus with me having won the briefcase at the end of last season and taking the Universal Women’s Championship and Rex looking to climb back to the World Championship himself, but it hasn’t been far from our minds.
Sofia Clarke: Let’s talk about Rex. How’s the wedding planning coming? Can you reveal any of the details of your wedding or are you keeping it a secret?
Raven Roberts: I will be more than happy to share the happiness of our wedding… after the fact. I love our fans. And I want them to share in our happy moment because neither Rex or I would be here without the fans. Without the support of the fans and the way they choose by spending their money and funding EAW… there’s a chance Rex and I may have never met. But I just want that day to be private for us.
Sofia Clarke: Why not an in-ring wedding?
Raven Roberts: Well, aside from the privacy like I already mentioned, in-ring weddings have a certain… history. Not to even begin comparing Rex to the Chairman… but look at what happened just over a year ago with Carmen Ava and Ryan Adams. And how many other weddings throughout wrestling history have happened where the two are actually in love but their day is ruined by someone else. This is an industry where you are going to make enemies. You just are. So why not an in-ring wedding? Honestly because I feel like it just guarantees someone is going to ruin our day just to be a part of some kind of trope almost. Because that’s what it’s become throughout history. A trope. An expectation. Setting ourselves up for anger and disappointment. I just don’t want any part of that. Sorry.
(Sofia nods her head in understanding and switches the subject.)
Sofia Clarke: 2019 was a big year for you professionally and personally. Something tells me that 2020 might be even greater.
Raven Roberts: I try to not get ahead of myself, but I’m hoping it is. I’m in the process of trying to build my own Hall of Fame career, and supporting Rex with his. There’s no doubt that here in EAW, there will be big things in our future.
Sofia Clarke: Congratulations on winning Stable of the Year, by the way. The Beating Hearts of Voltage also shared the Feud of the Year award. Are you happy to have that behind you? Knowing you helped win the war, can you put this part of your career in perspective?
Raven Roberts: I think the biggest take away from all of this is something that Rex says all the time. Embrace the unknown. Sure Camille and Consuela are sisters, and Consuela and Andrea had partnered before, but as a collective unit we had never really worked together before. Hell, you go back about a year and I’d more likely be an enemy of those three than I would be an ally. But when we were all thrown into the fire together, we didn’t let it get to us. We forged a bond that none of us ever expected. I mean, to let you in on one wedding secret, I’ve asked all three of them to be bridesmaids and stand with me as a part of the big day. That’s what we managed to form. Even me, someone who didn’t deserve the trust they placed in me. And here we are. Stable of the year. Winning what I’m going to argue was the true feud of the year. And still with so much more in front of us.
Sofia Clarke: Any future plans with the rest of the Beating Hearts?
Raven Roberts: Aside from the wedding? Continue to prove exactly why we belong where we are. Andrea is the EAW Champion now. I’m still the Universal Women’s Champion and that isn’t changing anytime soon. Consuela is on the cusp of a title with her 24/7 Contract. And Camille is one of the very best the company has to offer, bar none. Every one of us was doubted at one time or another. And we’ve turned every doubter into a believer. If there’s any plan, it’s to make damn sure that no one ever forgets what we’ve done.
Sofia Clarke: With 2020 in full swing now, who would you like to face? What Elitists do you have your sights set on, and they don’t necessarily have to be from Voltage.
Raven Roberts: There’s been a massive influx of talent in the past year. I haven’t faced Drake King since he was first starting out. Darcy May Morgan has created a wave of momentum around herself. Jake Smith has broken out as a solo contender in a way many of us didn’t expect. And that doesn’t even begin to encapsulate everyone. Ultimately I just love the idea of something new. Something fresh. So facing off against these newer talents who’ve shown something… that excites me. Because it’s kind of the road less traveled. But then there’s also plenty of talents who are already established as the top contenders here that I’d love to face and for one reason or another just haven’t yet.
Sofia Clarke: Dream Pain for Pride opponent?
Raven Roberts: Whoever else happens to make it to the main event to face me.
(Raven grins with a wink.)
Raven Roberts: But if you want me to name anyone specific, it’s the biggest stage. So why not face the biggest names? Mr. DEDEDE, Jamie O’Hara, Impact… when it comes to a show like Pain for Pride, I obviously want someone who will push me as a competitor in every sense. Some I may like, some I may not. But I recognize beyond any doubt what they’ve done and what they can do. And the chance to face someone like that is something I’d gladly take.
Sofia Clarke: We’re almost out of time, but to wrap things up, is there anything you want to personally say to Sienna Jade?
Raven Roberts: Just one thing. Sienna, you’re about to get the fight of a lifetime. A beating that you’ve had coming your way for a long, long time.

James Peters: Rex McAllister exited the 2010s as apart of the All-Decade Third Team with the likes of Mak and Tyler Parker, and now he is walking into the next decade to raise more hell and make more additions to his legacy. What the future holds for Rex McAllister is unknown, but based on the past, there is no doubt that Rex is going to be holding championship gold very, very soon.

This is another opportunity for McAllister to reinforce his spot at the top while this tournament is a gateway for Garcia to fully establish himself in the EAW landscape. Both individuals now leaning towards a collar-and-elbow tie up, however, Garcia doesn’t look to start the match traditionally as he avoids the initiation, using his size to dodge the offense of McAllister.
James Peters: Garcia goes around his waist, but Rex ceases it and brings him down into a headlock. Garcia utilises his legs to initiate a headscissors. Rex is forced to relinquish the headlock as he focuses on escaping the headscissors. He gets onto his knees, grabs his legs and pushes him over. GARCIA ROLLS OVER ONTO HIS FEET! James Peters: KICKOUT! Rex now applies a headlock around the neck of Garcia. The pace of this match beginning to slow down as Rex looks to wear down his opponent. McAllister can do this all night and he has a track record for being persistent and energetic for long periods of times. However, this headlock may be ceased as Garcia begins to fight out of it with punches to the ribs.
Rich Russillo: McAllister momentarily stuns him with a knee to the gut before running off the ropes. Garica jumps down, Rex jumps over as he rebounds off the ropes again! He leapfrogs over Garcia! (Even backstage, the ovation The Woogieman receives reverberates throughout the building. The larger than life Elitist removes his sunglasses, raises his eyebrow, and grins into the camera. Sofia can’t help but temporarily forget she is a strong, independent, and professional woman and she shamelessly bats her eyes at Woogie.)

Sofia Clarke: Hello, Woogie. Thank you so much for joining me this evening.
The Woogieman: The pleasure is all mine.
(Sofia’s lovely face flushes and she clears her throat, knowing she has a job to do.)
Sofia Clarke: Now Woogie, 2019 was an up and down year for you, and eventually you found yourself on the outside looking in as Zak Simmons renamed the Big Boogie Bhampionship, the Big Bak Bhampionship. Do you plan on stepping up and challenging him, and getting that bhampionship back around your waist?
(Woogie appears to be deep in thought over that question.)
The Woogieman: I have thought about that Sofia, and honestly, the Big Bak Bhampionship is not my goal right now. Maybe it will be eventually, but I will allow Simmons to have his fun a little while longer. I have lorded over the Bhampionship division for awhile, and it’s good to have some new blood around. Simmons is a tough competitor and he deserves to enjoy his time in the spotlight a little while longer.
Sofia Clarke: You have always been such a gracious, humble GOAT, Woogie, and I think I speak for every member of the EAW Universe when I say that. But we also want to know what’s next for you? If not the Big Bak Bhampionship, then what?
The Woogieman: I just want to have fun matches and great feuds, Sofia. I have such a storied history in ladder matches, and I have done a lot of great things in this sport so far. My goal for this next decade is continue to be the GOAT I am, and the person the fans love. I’m The Woogieman, and I’m unlike anyone else here. I’m the favorite wherever I go! But if you really need something, some soundbite or whatever, I will go ahead and make an Earth shattering announcement right now.
(Sofia blinks and eagerly nods her head. She is clearly excited about the possibility of breaking a huge story.)

The Woogieman: Right now I’m going to go ahead and formally announce my entry into the 2020 Grand Rampage.
(Sofia looks a little startled.)
Sofia Clarke: But Woogie… Grand Rampage isn’t until April.
The Woogieman: That’s right, and I want all my fellow Elitists to have a chance to think about whether or not they want to put themselves in my line of fire. I am not holding anything back this season and that is a promise, Sofia.
(The sound of clapping can be heard off camera and that draws everyone’s attention to stage left. The camera shot widens to see Hannah Marin walking into the picture.)
Hannah Marin: Not holding anything back, you say? Good for you, sugar. Sofia, if you’ll excuse me, I have come to talk to Woogie privately.
(Hannah shoos Sofia away, much to Sofia’s chagrin, and once the reporter is gone, the blonde smiles sweetly at Woogie.)
Hannah Marin: Now Woogie, I appreciate the fact you are looking so far into the future. That shows me you are a man with great ambition, and someone who wants what’s best for himself. It’s not lost on me that you are one of the most popular figures here in EAW. Everytime your music hits, people go absolutely crazy. You have a lot of power my friend.

Hannah Marin: Jesse Barlow is a man that also possesses a lot of power, and he’s the most fearless leader. I have never met a man who cares so much about the world, and who truly has the passion to make it a better place. The two of us want to build an army, Woogie. A group of warriors who take over and change the world for the better. Not only returning but taking me out and making it clear that despite finally getting vindication against that disease known as Veena Adams and winning the 24/7 contrat, I still have issues I have to handle before I can actually use it.
Ms. Extreme: Yeah, he wants to take that contract away from you and use it himself it seems. You did all that work to get it and he’s trying to snake his way into stealing it for himself. This is a tough situation to be in especially seeing as you work hard to keep earning it by going through Veena Adams who everyone in the world despises. Thing is, Veena isn’t the athlete or Elitist Lars Grier has been known to be and he is a threat regardless if we agree with how he returned to EAW or not.
Consuela Rose Ava: It’s whatever honestly. I’m ready for everything this new year and decade has in store for me. Lars, Veena, whoever thinks they can get this contract away from me and use it for themselves can try as they might. I’m ready for everything and everyone trying to block me from becoming a champion again.
Ms. Extreme: That’s wonderful to hear, Consuela!
Consuela Rose Ava: Yeah, thanks. I have plans for this contract and I can’t stress myself out about who returns to run in or sneak attack me. I couldn’t care less about any so called threats. I will be cashing in this 24/7 contract and I have a secret to tell you Camille.
(Consuela leans in a little as Camille leans in with her.)
Consuela Rosa Ava: I even know what champion I want to cash in on!
Ms. Extreme: That’s great! I also have some goals of my own for this new year and decade! Looks like we both might be rocking championship gold together this season after all.
Consuela Rose Ava: Oh yeah? Well, tell me your gold goals first and I’ll tell you mine.
Ms. Extreme: Well, it’s a lofty one…but I am determined to win Queen of Elite this season. I want to be the Red Queen of Elite in 2020 and that isn’t the end of it. No way. I want to win Queen of Elite and simultaneously be a champion as well. I have my sights set on becoming EAW World Championship but seeing as Andrea has that seat filled, I have another belt glimmering from the corner of my eye that I may take a crack at.
Consuela Rose Ava: Oh, do tell! What belt are you thinking of? Looking to reclaim that Pure Championship? You’re not going after Raven, are you?
Ms. Extreme: Not exactly. I figure, seeing as I’m facing Doctor Bethany Blue, I 100% believe I can defeat her and advance in this Elite tournament. I also think, by beating Bethany Blue that I will solidify my case as a potential number one contender and challenger for the Interwire Championship! I think that might be the move for me this season! Me, Queen of the Elite AND Interwire Champion?
(The second the word “Interwire” escaped her lips, Consuela’s eyes widened and she quickly looked washed of all the color in her face.)
Ms. Extreme: What do you think? Big plans indeed, right?
Consuela Rose Ava: Um.
(Consuela feins a smile before allowing herself to nod and smile ear to ear while squinting her eyes at her sister.)
Consuela Rose Ava: That’s just, that’s just perfect Camille.
Ms. Extreme: Really? I’m not getting ahead of myself am I? Winning Queen of the Elite is a lofty goal and so is becoming Interwire champ let alone both. But people call me Godmille for a reason. I appreciate you for backing me, Consuela!
Consuela Rose Ava: Oh, oh yeah. You have my support 100% in this journey Camille. You as the reigning Queen of Elite and…The new Interwire Champion is beyond perfect.
(Consuela flashes her sister another smile.)
Ms. Extreme: I know I’ll have to fight my heart out but this chest doesn’t pump sugar. I’ll be ready just like you’ll be ready to keep that 24/7 contract in your possession until it’s time for you to cash it in and get yourself a title. Speaking of which, you never told me what belt you had your eye on. Come on, spit it out!
Consuela Rose Ava: Actually, I think I will keep it to myself for now.
(Ms. Extreme looks at Consuela, feeling a little suspicious.)
Ms. Extreme: Consuela…
Consuela Rose Ava: It kind of just dawned on me what a challenge Lars is going to be and perhaps I don’t really need to set my sights on a belt right now. I guess my goal now is fighting back all the thieves and vultures circling above my head trying to pry this 24/7 contract away from me and waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike on the champion that has the belt I ultimately desire. Lars Grier might just by default be my main priority for the time being and all my attention must be focused on making this returning nobody wish he never picked a fight with Consuela Rose Ava.
(Ms. Extreme gives her older sister a look, but she kind of just lets it drop. Something is telling her that she might have just taken the wind out of her sister’s sails with her own aspirations for the Interwire Championship, but she’s not sure.)
Ms. Extreme: That is exactly what I like to hear, sis.
(Ms. Extreme puts a hand on her sisters shoulder before pulling her in for a solid hug as the camera stays focused on the somber look residing on Consuela’s face. As they break away, the sisters slap hands and exchange a familiar head nod to one another; Ms Extreme does hers with vigor and enthusiasm. Consuela on the other hand is a little subdued but she goes through the motions.)
Consuela Rose Ava: You take care of business tonight. Make that doctor call in sick for the next two weeks and show the world that the Red Queen is worthy of becoming the Red Queen of Elite.
Ms. Extreme: Thanks and you know I will!
(Ms. Extreme smiles ear to ear as she leaves the area and all we are left with is Consuela taking a deep breath before staring down at the floor, the wall, and just seemingly floating alone in her locker-room with her thoughts. Consuela reaches inside her locker and reveals her 24/7 contract as she stares at it and looks to be weighing her options.)
(The camera cuts back to Rich and James.)
Rich Russillo: This looks to be an inspired group here as two of the Ava sisters, Consuela and Camille, both look to take this opportunity with a New Year Upon us all to get some goals established. Camille wants to become Queen of Elite AND Interwire Champion and Consuela…well.
James Peters: Consuela wants to go about making sure her 24/7 contract isn’t ripped away from her by anybody thinking she doesn’t deserve it. Namely a man by the name of Lars Grier who is back after a year away from EAW with his eyes on Consuela’s prize. After that, it’s obvious Consuela wants to become a champion but it seems she can’t decide what belt she wants to challenge for.
Rich Russillo: If Lars Grier has his way, she won’t even get the chance to remember what championship she wants to challenge for. 260 pounds of pissed off Carion. A man that big and that methodical is back with a very unclear message but a clear mission; take that 24/7 contract and use it himself.
James Peters: Consuela is tough, but Lars is tough as well. A year off can make some elitist lazy or rusty, but I don’t know. Lars may be more dangerous than ever now that he is back in EAW.
(The camera cuts to Bella Braxton in the middle of the ring)

Bella Braxton: Introducing first… from Calabasas, California… weighing in at 135 pounds… THE RED QUEEN… MS. EXTREME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rich Russillo: Last time we saw Ms. Extreme was at Road to Redemption. Whilst she did not pull out the win as intended at the Extreme Elimination Chamber match for the EAW Championship, she was able to witness much more than that. She saw one of her best friends that bonded with her over the course of Season 12 Andrea Valentine, win the EAW Championship over Charlie Marr after a long climb to the top. She also got to see her sister Cameron Ella Ava being crowned the Answers World Championship in the Extreme Elimination Chamber as well. So whilst she did not walk out as champion I’m sure these moments equate to her similarly in her mind.
James Peters: Tonight is her chance to possibly step into the same atmosphere as both Andrea and Cam did at Road to Redemption. The King of Elite is a prestigious tournament and it holds a lot of opportunities at hand. If Camille manages to pull off becoming the King, or should I say Queen of Elite, she might be in the same position she was in at Road to Redemption, a chance to get the world title. But before she can focus on that she has to move up the ranks, and that begins tonight.
(Ms. Extreme enters the ring and begins to warm up with determination as “Gangsta fades out. “Bad Medicine” by Bon Jovi then plays to cheers as Dr. Bethany Blue comes out. She raises her Interwire Championship up in the air before heading to the ring)
Bella Braxton: And her opponent… from Miami, Florida… weighing in at 128 pounds… DR. BETHANY BLUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rich Russillo: Last time we saw the Doctor was also at Road to Redemption where she managed to retain the Interwire Title against the thorn in her side for weeks, Jesse Barlow. The stakes were high for that match but in the end it was of course Dr. Bethany Blue that came out on top. Jesse made this personal with the Doctor and she sure did deliver when it comes to that.
James Peters: Yes but also she has this match in the round 1 of the King of Elite tournament. Think about it she could be a Queen of Elite and the Interwire Champion simultaneously, imagine how much that could propel her up. The possibilities are endless but I’m sure the Doctor wants to win tonight and I’m sure just like Road to Redemption she’ll give her 100%. Both of the competitors want to win in this match, the pressure mounts yet I’m sure the animosity will only be motivation to give their best and I’m sure that will be true.
(Dr. Bethany Blue enters the ring and steps in between the ropes and holds the Interwire Championship up once more as “Bad Medicine” fades away and the Ref signals for the bell)

Rich Russillo: Here we go as this first round match is underway. It’s safe to say we have to put into consideration that none of the competitors in this match are 100%. Ms. Extreme has an injured ankle going into this match and Dr. Bethany Blue had to sustain a lot in order to retain the Interwire Title which is sure to affect the result of this match and what not. So they both have to keep that in mind going into this match. Ms. Extreme not wasting any time coming out of the gate striking multiple punches right to Dr. Bethany Blue! The Doctor moves herself back but quickly comes back striking Ms. Extreme with punches of her own! Both Ms. Extreme and Dr. Bethany Blue are swinging multiple punches at each other as it seems there’s no end to it! But Ms. Extreme is slowly fighting back as she begins to overwhelm Blue with fast rapid punches. Blue forced to a knee as Ms. Extreme runs to the ropes. KNEE STRIKE RIGHT TO THE FACE OF THE DOCTOR SENDING HER DOWN!
James Peters: Dr. Bethany Blue getting up quickly now as it’s too early in the match. Ms. Extreme quickening it bringing her up and sending her to the ropes. THE DOCTOR WITH A RUNNING EUROPEAN UPPERCUT RIGHT TO MS. EXTREME SENDING HER BACK! Ms. Extreme falling to the ropes as Blue rebounds off the opposite side! CLOTHESLINE SENDS MS. EXTREME OVER THE TOP ROPES AND TO THE FLOOR! Ms. Extreme stunned as she grabs the barricade and slowly begins to pull herself up.
Rich Russillo: Meanwhile though the Doctor is on the apron waiting for Ms. Extreme to get up what is she thinking?! DR. BETHANY BLUE WITH A RUNNING CROSSBODY OFF THE APRON TAKING MS. EXTREME DOWN! We’re only a few minutes into this match and it’s already spilled to the outside! Blue bringing Ms. Extreme up as the Ref is looking to start the count soon. She’s dragging Ms. Extreme possibly into the ring but she fights back with an elbow right to the gut sending her back! Dr. Bethany Blue grabbing a hold of Ms. Extreme looking to roll her back into the ring. MS. EXTREME RAMMING DR. BETHANY BLUE BACK FIRST INTO THE CORNER OF THE APRON!

BETHANY BLUE HEAD FIRST RIGHT INTO THE STEEL STEPS! Ms. Extreme I think is looking for another one! But the Doctor puts her hand out preventing it as she grabs Ms. Extreme! BLUE SLAMS MS. Rich Russillo: Ms. Extreme fighting back as she grabs Dr. Bethany Blue and she’s dragging her around the ringside area again what could possibly be in store for the Doctor?! MS. EXTREME THROWS BLUE HEADFIRST INTO THE RING POST! Dr. Bethany Blue is clearly getting dizzy as Ms. Extreme rolls her into the ring and enters herself. Blue pulling herself up slowly as Ms. Extreme takes a breather on the other side. Ms. Extreme grabbing her and bringing her to the center of the ring. MS. EXTREME WITH A SMOOTH SNAP SUPLEX!
James Peters: Blue rolls to the edge of the ring as she grabs a hold of the ropes pulling herself up. But Ms. Extreme is coming over as she begins to push the Doctor out of the ring with her foot but the Doctor holds on as the Ref forces them to split. Ms. Extreme allowing Dr. Bethany Blue to slowly pull herself up but is wasting no time grabbing her and sending her into a irish whip to the ropes. But Blue stops herself by grabbing the ropes preventing anymore damage to be done to her. Ms. Extreme running towards her but Dr. Bethany Blue throws her out of the ring! But Ms. Extreme holds on and gets on the apron as she climbs to the top rope I think the Doctor is unknowing of what’s going on! DIVING CALF KICK TAKES THE DOCTOR DOWN!
Rich Russillo: Dr. Bethany Blue grabbing the turnbuckle and pulling herself up to her feet as she props herself in the corner. Ms. Extreme with a backhand chop right to Blue! The chop echoes throughout the arena as Dr. Bethany Blue falls to her knees! Ms. Extreme grabbing the Doctor by the hair but she quickly turns it around with an elbow right to her gut! Ms. Extreme stumbles backwards as the Doctor sees opportunity. BLUE WITH A CHOP BLOCK! Remember the ankle injury whilst the chop block didn’t affect it so much it bent it in a way! Ms. Extreme hops on one leg trying to access the situation but Dr. Bethany Blue isn’t waiting! FALLAWAY SLAM TAKES MS. EXTREME DOWN!
James Peters: The Doctor grabs the arm of Ms. Extreme as she begins to manipulate it twisting it and bending! She drops the arm though as she goes for the ankle!

She wastes no time getting back up to her feet as the Doctor is vulnerable and Ms. Extreme sees that as she grabs her and runs to the ropes! SPRINGBOARD BULLDOG BY MS. EXTREME! Dr. Bethany Blue falls into the corner as Ms. Extreme falls into the other. She runs at Ms. Extreme but she quickly side steps as the Doctor falls into the opposite corner! Ms. Extreme runs at Blue caught by surprise at the quick reaction of Ms. Extreme. CORNER RUNNING DROPKICK RIGHT TO THE FACE OF THE DOCTOR!
James Peters: Dr. Bethany Blue pulling herself out of the ring trying to gain some distance to catch a breath. But Ms. Extreme isn’t waiting for a moment as she runs to the ropes! SUICIDE DIVE AS THE DOCTOR GETS SLAMMED RIGHT INTO THE BARRICADE! Ms. Extreme rolling Dr. Bethany Blue right into the ring as she wastes no time sending her into a irish whip. But the Doctor bounces off running right at Ms. Extreme! DROPKICK RIGHT TO THE KNEE BY BLUE! Ms. Extreme moves back as the Doctor quickly gets to her feet. DISCUS CLOTHESLINE TAKES MS. EXTREME DOWN!

James Peters: Both of them are down as they seem to be both slowly getting up at the same time. Ms. Extreme fires the first punch as the Doctor moves back. Ms. Extreme already having the advantage as she begins to land more punches over Dr. Bethany Blue. Dr. Bethany Blue is slowly starting to feel overwhelmed but she swings a punch!

Bella Braxton: Ladies and gentlemen here is the winner of your match… THE INTERWIRE CHAMPION! DR. BETHANY BLUE!!!!!!!!!!
Rich Russillo: SHE DID IT! Dr. Bethany Blue has managed to barely get out of this match and advances to round two of the King of Elite tournament! Whilst not in the most flattering way that does not seem to be the concern for her as she looks excited as hell!
James Peters: Whilst that might not be a concern for her look at Ms. Extreme. An opportunity taken away from her this early into the King of Elite tournament, whilst that is lukewarm she was also cheated out of it. I’m sure there’s going to be hell to pay once Ms. Extreme wakes up and comes to realize what just got stolen from her by the doctor.
(The camera takes one last shot of the referee checking on Ms. Extreme before sending Voltage into a commercial break.)

Molly Waters: Earlier tonight, we heard from our new EAW World Champion, Andrea Valentine. Joining me right now is the man she dethroned for that very championship, Charlie Marr.
(The camera widens and shows Charlie Marr and his wife, Jordie, standing to Molly’s left. Charlie looks far from thrilled and narrows his eyes at Molly, who to her credit, does not waver under his glare. Jordie is clinging to Charlie as usual, and looking up at him with stars in her pretty eyes.)
Molly Waters: Thank you for joining me tonight Charlie. I’m sure you felt some type of way walking into this building tonight without the championship you’ve held since August.
(That question immediately sets the tone for the interview and it’s not a positive one. Tension radiates through Charlie’s ripped body and Jordie places a comforting hand on his arm.)
Charlie Marr: If there hadn’t been some bullshit conspiracy against me then I would still be the fucking champion. But that’s the nature of this game. People hate what they don’t understand and want things that they don’t deserve, and that they damn sure haven’t earned. There wasn’t a single motherfucker in that chamber that had any claim to my championship and not one of them deserved a shot at my belt either. It’s complete bullshit that a fucking glory hole is walking around with MY EAW World Championship. tHe KiNg iS dEaD! Bitch, I’m still your fucking king. Malcum Jones handed the human version of a toilet bowl the fucking EAW World Championship because he’s got little man syndrome and was hoping to get a thank you fuck out of it. He probably did because Andrea is the type of woman who would spread her legs for a soda pop bottle if it meant she could feel some type of friction against her dirty little clit, but I digress. Charlie Marr: This right here is a restraining order, barring Malcolm Hakeem Jones, from getting within a thousand feet from me. That means he can not legally enter any building that I’m in or else he will be arrested. Not sure what the fuck that means for his future on Voltage, but I really don’t give a fuck. Until I get back what’s rightfully mine, Malcolm Jones can fuck right on off and go crawl back into trash can he came from.

At Road to Redemption Terry was just one of many eliminations for his opponent tonight, Charlie Marr, but at Christmas in Dubai Terry closed out his year with a victory over the current New Breed Champion, Justin Windgate. Now Terry is looking to avenge his Extreme Elimination Chamber loss by defeating Charlie tonight.

CHARLIE IS ALREADY STARTING TO FADE, AND TERRY HAS THAT REAR NAKED CHOKE LOCKED IN PROBABLY TIGHTER THAN EVER BEFORE! CHARLIE NEEDS TO FIND A WAY OUT OF THIS, WAIT, LOOK! CHARLIE ELBOWING THE SIDE OF TERRY! I DON’T KNOW HOW MUCH DAMAGE HE’S REALLY DOING WITH THESE ELBOWS, BUT YOU CAN SEE HE’S TRYING EVERYTHING HE CAN TO STAY IN THIS MATCH!
Rich Russillo: CHARLIE NOW WITH HEADBUTTS SIMILAR TO TERRY’S, AND WHILE IT’S TAKING MUCH LONGER THAN IT DID FOR CHARLIE, IT LOOKS LIKE TERRY IS LOSING HIS GRIP ON CHARLIE! CHARLIE NOW, BREAKING FREE OF TERRY’S ARM, AND THERE’S A NASTY ELBOW, RIGHT TO THE NOSE! CHARLIE MANAGED TO ESCAPE THE SUBMISSION, BUT YOU CAN SEE THE AMOUNT OF DAMAGE THAT’S BEEN DONE AS CHARLIE IS FORCED TO CRAWL RIGHT TO THE APRON! THIS MATCH HAS CLEARLY TAKEN A TOLL ON BOTH COMPETITORS, AT THIS POINT I DON’T THINK I HAVE ANY IDEA WHO WILL WIN!
James Peters: Terry managed to get back to his feet quickly, and now he’s approaching Charlie- JUST TO RECEIVE A SHOULDER TO THE MIDSECTION! Charlie now bringing Terry towards the turnbuckles- BUT TERRY HITS AN ELBOW! TERRY NOW, SLOWLY CLIMBING UP TO THE TOP ROPE WITH CHARLIE IN HIS POSSESSION- BUT CHARLIE SWEEPS TERRY’S LEGS! CHARLIE JUST SWEEPED THE LEGS OF TERRY AND NOW TERRY IS STUCK UP TOP!
(Terry is laying on his stomach on both the top turnbuckle, and the two ropes adjacent from it. In a moment full of suspense Charlie slowly begins grabbing Terry in a front face lock and pulling him above the apron.)
Rich Russillo: Oh no, what’s he doing? Charlie pulling Terry over the apron… OH NO!! NO FACE, NO CASE!! USUALLY IT’S AN APRON HUNG DDT THAT CHARLIE DOES, BUT THIS TIME CHARLIE TOOK IT A STEP FURTHER BY DDTING TERRY ONTO THE APRON OFF THE TOP ROPE! THAT WAS JUST UNBELIEVABLE! CHARLIE NOW POWERING TERRY BACK INTO THE RING, AND HE’S IMMEDIATELY JUMPING ONTO TERRY FOR THE COVER! I THINK THIS JUST MAY BE IT, I THINK CHARLIE MARR IS ADVANCING!!

Rich Russillo: NO, TERRY MANAGED TO GET THE ROPES THIS TIME!! CHARLIE IS POUNDING HIS FISTS ONTO THE MAT, THIS MATCH SOMEHOW ISN’T DONE JUST YET! TERRY IS TAKING EVERYTHING CHARLIE HAS TO GIVE, SOMEHOW ONE OF THESE MEN NEED TO FINISH THIS MATCH, BUT HOW!? HOW CAN CHARLIE MARR BEAT TERRY CHAMBERS, AND HOW CAN TERRY BEAT CHARLIE!?
James Peters: Charlie is backed into the corner once again, and I think he’s looking to set up for it one more time! Terry at this point is moving like a Zombie as he’s slowly using the ropes to pull himself to his feet. I think this is it, I think this match is over. Charlie charging in for what may be the final time in this match, CHARING CRO- TERRY HAS CHARLIE UP! TERRY HAS CHARLIE UP!! TERRY JUST PICKED CHARLIE UP OUT OF NOWHERE!! T-5!!!
Rich Russillo: WAIT, NO WAY!! THE REF IS OUT!!! CHARLIE LANDED ON HIS FEET AND IT LOOKS LIKE HE ELBOWED THE REFEREE IN THE FACE AS HE LANDED! TERRY CAN’T BELIEVE WHAT JUST HAPPENED! TERRY CHARGING AT CHARLIE, BUT CHARLIE DUCKS THAT LARIAT ATTEMPT JUST LIKE EARLIER- NO!! CHAIRSHOT TO THE HEAD BY JORDIE!!! JORDIE WAS DOWN FOR A GOOD MAJORITY OF THIS MATCH, BUT SOMEHOW SHE’S MADE IT BACK HERE AND SHE JUST STRUCK THAT CHAIR RIGHT INTO TERRY’S SKULL!!
James Peters: CHARLIE WITH A LOW BLOW!!! CHARLIE JUST KICKED TERRY WHERE IT HURTS MOST, AND IT LOOKS LIKE THE REFEREE IS SLOWLY MAKING HIS WAY BACK INTO THIS! CHARLIE NOW HOOKING TERRY’S ARMS, AND HE WAS UNSUCCESSFUL BEFORE BUT I DON’T THINK TERRY IS COUNTERING ANYTHING THIS TIME!! THE QUEEN IS DEAD!!! THE QUEEN IS DEAD CONNECTS AND IT LOOKS LIKE TERRY IS AS GOOD AS DEAD AS HE’S MOTIONLESS IN THE RING RIGHT NOW! CHARLIE GOING FOR THE COVER AS THE REFEREE IS BACK UP, DON’T TELL ME CHARLIE IS GONNA STEAL THE WIN LIKE THIS!

James Peters: Are you serious? Charlie stole that win! The ref was temporarily taken out and immediately Jordie came in to help Charlie! Not to mention that low blow! And to be honest, even that elbow to the referee didn’t look very accidental if you ask me! Terry was screwed over, there’s no way this match should’ve ended like that!
Rich Russillo: Terry was taking everything Charlie had but it looks like it wasn’t enough as Charlie managed to outsmart the Barbaric Carnivore! I’ll admit that wasn’t fair to Terry at all, but seeing how he dealt with everything else in this match, there’s no reason why he should complain that he couldn’t survive that.
James Peters: None of this was fair. This match was essentially a two on one handicap, and the numbers game was just too much for Terry. This isn’t right, it isn’t right at all.
Rich Russillo: New year, new decade, same ole Charlie Marr.
(‘Letter to the Game’ hits and the crowd begins booing super heavily as Charlie slowly gets to his feet and has his hand raised. Jordie quickly runs into the ring by Charlie’s side, and the two have seemingly evil grins on their faces after how the match ended. Terry Chambers at this time has rolled out of the ring, and still isn’t awake yet after that match ending.)
