(“Misanthrope” By Local H hits as the Showdown intro begins to play before we cut into the U.S. Bank arena in Cincinnati, Ohio and we have a pan around to the thousands of screaming Showdown fans before cutting to the ramp as a fireworks display is shown before a pan around the arena as we finally cut to Pierre McGuire and Deadprez at the commentators table)
Pierre: FRESH!! OFF AN EXCITING TERRITORIAL INVASION, WE BRING YOU THE LONGEST WEEKLY EPISODIC TELEVISION SHOW IN EAW HISTORY!! WE BRING YOU SHOWDOWN!!! AND WHAT A LINE UP WE HAVE FOR YOU ALL HERE TONIGHT!
Deadprez: Despite Team Showdown falling short in the War Games, we won’t cry over spoiled milk, let those Dynasty kids have the glory for now but they don’t have the type of show we fixing to have here tonight! We have in our main event the battered EAW World Champion defending his title against the impressive Terry Chambers who has been kicking down doors and he’s kicked his way right into an EAW Championship match where he very well could be leaving this arena as the EAW Champion!
Pierre: All of this and more on this historic aftershock edition of EAW Showdown! And I’m getting word that our General manager is on his way out here right now to reflect on Showdown’s performance as a whole at Territorial Invasion!
(Camera opens up to Hurricane Hawk standing inside the ring as the Showdown crowd is standing on the feet as Hawk raises the microphone up to his feet)
Hawk: WELCOME TO SHOWDOWN!! Despite our efforts falling short in the War Games Match, I’m proud of what Showdown brought to the table, you had our very own Drake King step his game up and fought like hell and came as close as anyone from getting that New Breed Championship.
(A massive “OK” chant breaks out in respect for Drake King from the Showdown audience)
Hawk: We had the EAW Championship defended between the best and Diamond Cage with an absolute amazing performance throughout the entire night, we had our Interwire Championship match. Overall the night wasn’t a failure because we didn’t lay down and died, we took the best they had to offer and we still are the longest episodic television show in EAW History. We are still going to prove we are number one and since Territorial Invasion is behind us, Dynasty has a show coming called Operation: Doomsday.
(Hawk is rubbing his chin before he begins to speak once again)
Hawk: And that is why I announced that Showdown is having a show, Showdown is having an event returning as our supershow which will very well go down as one of the biggest shows in October and I invite everyone from all over to come experience this show, the EAW Championship will be defended like it is tonight and I’m pleased to reveal the logo for that show which will be taking place October 27th!

Pierre: We are underway as Cody Marshall and Damon Diesel stare each other down across the ring. Damon steps forward slowly as he extends his hand out to Cody! Bold move!
Deadprez: But Cody Marshall does not look impressed! Cody walking forward talking smack with a disgusted look on his face as he gets all up in Damon Diesel’s face! Cody smacks down Damon’s hand with authority!
Cody: Do you know who the hell I am you little scrub? I was almost EAW Champion!
Pierre: Cody’s ego seems a little out of control as Damon Diesel rolls his eyes at Cody Marshall!
Deadprez: Cody Marshall shoves Damon Diesel back pushing hard on his chest! Damon keeping his calm as he backs off before slowly walking back up to his giant opponent… and Cody shoves Damon’s face back playfully! Cody Marshall laughing now as Damon Diesel is looking annoyed by these bullying tactics from Marshall!!
Pierre: And Damon Diesel hauls back with a hard slap to the face of Cody Marshall! And Damon Diesel spits hard in Cody’s face! Cody taken aback as he falls back against the ropes with a look of disbelief and anger on his face! Cody wipes the spit off his face as he turns around into a Running Dropkick from Diesel! Cody staggers back falling into the corner as Diesel charges in with a Running Forearm to the skull of Marshall!!! Marshall goes down! Down goes Marshall in that corner!!!
Deadprez: Now the repeated kicks from Damon Diesel as Cody Marshall is getting the shit kicked out of him! But Marshall pulls the referee between him and Diesel! Diesel moves in but Cody kicks him hard in the face! Diesel retreats back into the ring as Cody Marshall is now back up and he charges out of the corner obliterating Damon Diesel with a Running Big Boot right to the jaw!!! Cody Marshall now running off the ropes… what does he got planned here!
Pierre: Cody Marshall with a Guillotine Leg Drop off the ropes! Cody now back up as he stomps hard on the chest of Damon Diesel proving his dominance here tonight! Damon tries to sit up but Cody bends down and punches him right in the face! Cody grabs Damon by the hair as he drags him up and positions himself behind him… Back Body Drop connects!!!
Deadprez: Damon Diesel now recovering but Cody clubs him hard over the back with those massive arms! Cody now wrapping the arms around the neck of Damon Diesel as he locks in a Grapevine Choke Hold! Damon Diesel may be done here! He’s getting choked the hell out! Can he escape?!?
Pierre: He’s literally trapped forever and will never get out of this hold!
Deadprez: Facts! Wait no he broke free my bad.
Pierre: Damon Diesel is truly a Wrestling Machine! Look at him! He’s wrestling!

Deadprez: Some of these fans are not happy! They are throwing beer in the ring and causing disturbances in the audience! Get this trailer park trash out of here!
Pierre: Don’t you talk about Cody Marshall’s fans that way! They are just heartbroken that he lost! How they choose to express it is not for us to judge.
(Security is shown escorting several rednecks out of the arena in handcuffs as we cut to a commercial. A campaign ad featuring former EAW Elitist “Radical” Gabriel Reno is shown inviting EAW fans to join him at his next rally in Charlottesville.)
(Camera opens to find Eve standing backstage holding a microphone, ready for an interview.)
Eve: Hello Showdown fans! It’s already been an eventful night as we move forward from Territorial Invasion, and joining me now is a man who looks to begin rebuilding himself moving forward, Ahren Fournier!
(Ahren steps forward wearing a white fur coat and sunglasses)
Ahren: Really? That’s how you introduce the GOAT champion? As if he’s some basic nobody for your generic at best interview skills? What the f—k do I have to rebuild?
Eve (flustered): Well…uh…I have to ask, I know you’re looking to taking the next step in your career, but are you really the GOAT champion without a title?

The man narrowly escapes a triple threat match against two nothings and embarrassed the entire Showdown locker room by getting pinned by an executive, Gawd or not. (Camera pans back to show Chris Elite walk up with big Mike right behind him)

(Camera pans into the arena as “Ice Tray” by Quavo hits and Heartbreak Boy comes from behind the curtain to a standing ovation wearing the Interwire Championship around his waist and makes his way to the ring pointing both fingers to the Interwire Championship)
Aaron Fitzpatrick: THE FOLLOWING CONTEST IS SET FOR ONE FALL!! INTRODUCING FIRST….FROM FERGUSON, MISSOURI….WEIGHING IN AT TWO HUNDRED AND TWENTY POUNDS…..HE IS THE INTERWIRE CHAMPION…..HHHEEEAAARRTTTBBRREEAKKKK BOOOYYYY!!!
Deadprez: This man is coming off a tremendous battle several nights ago at Territorial Invasion with Ahren Fournier and he escaped with the victory and the Interwire Title and his GOAT status and championship reign lives on! He has a tough test tonight.
(Heartbreak Boy enters the ring and taunts on the top rope as his theme dies down and “Until it Sleeps” by Metallica blares the speakers as Shane Gates makes his way to the ring)
Aaron Fitzpatrick: AND HIS OPPONENT….FROM HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA…WEIGHING IN AT TWO HUNDRED AND TEN POUNDS…..SSSHHANNNNEEE GGGAATTTEESS!!!!!
Pierre: Out comes one of Showdown’s future stars! He has a HUGE opportunity right now to knock off one of the greatest and put himself in the Interwire Title picture.
(Shane Gates steps in the ring and the music begins fading as Heartbreak Boy hands his Interwire Championship to the referee and begins stretching)
(DING! DING! DING!)
Pierre: And we’re off! This should be a great test for both men. HBB trying to carry over his momentum from Territorial Invasion and Shane Gates trying to put himself on the map here tonight. And both men lock up in the center of the ring and HBB has a side headlock in and Shane runs and pushes HBB into the ropes and connects with the arm drag on HBB. HBB on the outside looking a bit shocked as he slowly makes his way back into the ring.
Deadprez: HBB now steps back in the ring and WOAH connects with a kick to the midsection and now hammering at Shane’s back and now HBB slams Shane backwards and Shane lands HARD on the back of his head on the mat. HBB now lifts Shane off the mat and Shane now trying to fight back is throwing rights at the stomach of HBB and HBB finally releases the hold off Shane;s head and now Shane throwing right after right and now HBB stumbles into the corner and now….Shane tries lifting HBB on the top rope but HBB is fighting it and Shane backs off and as HBB steps out of the corner…Shane connects with a kick to the side of HBB’s head and HBB is right back in the corner! Shane tries it again and successfully gets HBB on the top rope and goes up top with him looking for a superplex!
Pierre: HBB is trying to fight it! But OH Shane with the eye rake to HBB and he goes for the superplex…..IT CONNECTS!! THE IMPACT!!
Deadprez: I think that might have done more damage to Shane than it did to HBB. Both men now trying to stir to their feet and Shane gets up first and connects with a dropkick and now runs to the ropes and HBB tries to clothesline him off the rebound but Shane ducks and runs to the opposite side and hist a flying clothesline! Shane is feeling fired up! He’s giving the Interwire Champion all he can here tonight!
Pierre: He is measuring HBB and…….DEAD MAN CONNECTS!! IS HE GONNA DO IT?!?! THE COVER!!

Pierre: HBB GETS THE SHOULDER UP AT TWO! Shane looks in disbelief but he can’t be wasting precious time against a guy of HBB’s caliber and he finally gets to his feet and he awaits HBB to get to his feet and sets him up in a suplex position. But HBB is blocking it and delivers a quick snap suplex and WOAH OH GOD! Shane’s foot landed extremely awkwardly on the middle rope from the suplex and he’s holding it in pain.
Deadprez: HBB smells blood now and he quickly ruses Shane to his feet and lifts him up but Shane slides from behind and throws a HARD ELBOW into the back of HBB’s head and HBB is rocked! Shane now….setting up for Last Hope…..HE’S GOT HIM UP!!!
Pierre: BUT OH NO!! SHANE’S LEG GAVE OUT AND HBB WITH NO HESITATION…..GOLDPRINT!! LIGHTS OUT!! THIS ONE IS OVER!! THE COVER!!

Sam: It’s like what else do we have to do get a Unified Tag Team Championship? I have an idea! Maybe I’ll change my name to Sammie V!
Mike Shaw: I LIKE YOUR IDEA! And I’ll be Mikey the Viper!
Sam: Sounds like it’s been done before, let’s just eh, I don’t even know. I know we are the Undisputed best Tag Team in EAW. And we’ve been fighting tooth and nail and we’ve had our shot and I don’t want to be anywhere but the top!
Mike: I’m with you, maybe we should show up on Voltage tomorrow night and personally make our challenge to whoever wins the Unified Tag Team Championships?
Sam: Nah, that’s too obvious, we’ve gotta do something different, like completely different, like something that’ll make them want to come here to Showdown, just cause Territorial Invasion passed doesn’t mean the war is over.

Pierre: Drake trying to keep him down, but TLA is determined to get up to his feet! And he stirs up to his feet but Drake still has the headlock applied! AND TLA! DRIVING HIS ELBOW INTO THE MID-SECTION OF DRAKE! AND HE REPEATEDLY DOES IT! TLA breaks out of the grasp of Drake King, AND HE DELIVERS A OPEN HANDED CHEST SLAP TO DRAKE KING! TLA grabbing Drake King and pulls him in! Boot to the mid-section! AND HE LOOKS TO IRISH-WHIP HIM INTO THE ROPES! Drake counters with a reverse whip as he sends TLA hard into the corner! Drake running! BUT TLA GETS HIS BOOT UP! Drake sent back peddling as TLA hops onto the second turnbuckle! TLA WAITS FOR DRAKE TO LET A LITTLE CLOSER FOR HE JUMPS!! Deadprez: TLA now on the offensive as he grabs him Drake King and connects with a brutal forearm to the face! Drake though responds with another forearm right back to the face of TLA! TLA delivers a forearm of his own! And both men trading bombs back and forth! TLA grabs Drake and drives his knee to the mid-section of Drake King! TLA runs off the ropes! AND AS HE COMES FORWARD DRAKE POPS UP FOR A BEAUTIFUL STANDING DROPKICK RIGHT TO THE FACE OF TLA!! HE CONNECTS!! Drake holding his mid-section but TLA is holding his face as Drake grabs TLA up to his feet, Front facelock applied! AND HE SNAPS OFF A BEAUTIFUL SNAP SUPLEX PLANTING TLA INTO THE MAT!! Drake King now getting back into this matchup as the momentum swung immediately with a beautiful standing dropkick he delivered! TLA rising to his feet as King is waiting on him, KING WITH A BOOT TO THE MID-SECTION OF TLA!!
Pierre: AND HE APPLIES THE FRONT FACELOCK! BUT THIS TIME HE’S GOING FOR A BRAINBUSTER! TLA somehow drives his knee into the head of Drake King as Drake drops him down! TLA WITH A DISCUS FOREARM SHOT KNOCKING DRAKE KING INTO THE ROPES! TLA, GOES FOR A CLOTHESLINE SENDING DRAKE KING OUT OF THE RING! Drake lands on the apron! TLA!! RUNS!! (“Smells Like Teen Spirit” By Nirvana plays throughout the arena as Diamond Cage steps out wearing a vest and has the EAW Championship strapped around his waist to a BIG ovation from the crowd as he is gingerly walking down to the ring)
Pierre: This man is the definition of warrior, he is the definition of a fighting champion and it has taken a toll on him but I don’t see him stopping anytime soon!
Deadprez: We saw the man collapse at Territorial Invasion, just to lead Showdown to failure at Territorial Invasion! He’s on his last ropes.

Pierre: AND THIS MATCH CERTAINLY HAS A BIG FIGHT FIELD! The bell signals we are underway as Terry and Cage make their way to the middle of the ring and Terry towering over Cage but Cage looks none too intimidated! AND THEY CLASH! Collar and elbow tie up dead center in the ring! Terry overpowering Cage as he begins pushing him backwards! Cage backing up not on his own accord as Terry is pushing him! AND TERRY PUSHES CAGE AWAY! Cage immediately pops up to his feet as Terry is challenging Cage to fight him again! Cage obliges! And they charge for another collar and elbow tie up! Cage quickly slaps on a side headlock! Cage working on that hold as he begins to tighten the hold! Cage is trying to wear down the bigger man in this match! Terry with a height and weight advantage of the EAW Champion which gives him the power advantage! Terry though immediately backing himself to the ropes and pushes Cage forward breaking the headlock! He sends Cage into the ropes! Cage comes forward! AND TERRY DROPS CAGE AS THEY COLLIDE SHOULDERS WITH A SHOULDER BLOCK! Cage dropped as Terry looking down at Cage is telling him to get up to his feet, Cage is rising and him and Terry get nose to nose! This looks like it is going to boiler over really quickly! Cage and Terry trading barbs! Terry pushes Cage! AND CAGE SLAPS THE TASTE OUT OF TERRY’S MOUTH!
Deadprez: Terry immediately grabbing Cage! But Cage breaks out of his grasp! And Cage follows it up with a forearm smash to the face of Terry! And he delivers a Knife Edge Chop! And another forearm smash! And another stinging chop! Terry trying to block as Cage begins delivering well placed body shots! Terry covering up! But he sees an opening as Cage stopped striking and drives his knee right into the mid-section of Cage! Cage hunched over as Terry follows it up with a clubbing blow over the spine as he drops Cage down onto the canvas! Cage pushing himself up but Terry immediately grabs him up to his feet AND HE JUST THROWS CAGE INTO THE CORNER! Terry now driving his shoulder right into the mid-section of Cage with a shoulder thrust! Cage can’t fight it! Terry stops his onslaught before he places Cage on the top turnbuckle! Terry looks to climb, BUT CAGE WITH A FIST RIGHT TO THE FACE OF TERRY! AND HE DELIVERS ANOTHER FIST! Terry drops off the second turnbuckle! Cage drops down! And he hooks Terry AND DELIVERS A VIOLENT EUROPEAN UPPERCUT! Terry rocked after that shot as Cage follows it up with another brutal european uppercut! Cage grabbing Terry by the arm and sends him into the ropes with an irish-whip! But Terry counters with a reverse whip! Sending Cage instead into the ropes! Terry hunches over looking for a back body drop!
Pierre: But Cage with a punt kick to the shoulder as Terry pops up! Cage backs up into the ropes for momentum as he comes forward with a running forearm to the face of Terry! Terry dazed as Cage backs up once again AND RUNS FORWARD FOR ANOTHER RUNNING FOREARM TO THE FACE OF TERRY! Terry is eating these hard shots from Cage as Cage backs up! AND RUNS FOR ANOTHER FOREARM SMASH! BUT TERRY CATCHES CAGE AND PLANTS HIM INTO THE CANVAS WITH A SIDEWALK SLAM! Cage planted into the canvas as Terry Chambers rising up to his feet! Cage rolls over on all floors as Terry sends a boot knocking DC back down to the canvas! Terry grabbing Cage up to his feet! AND HE DRIVES HIM FACE FIRST INTO THE TOP TURNBUCKLE! Terry with a big right hand to the face of Cage! He’s a little dazed but Terry once again lifts Cage and places him onto the top turnbuckle! Terry climbing up as well! HE LOOKS LIKE HE’S GOING FOR A SUPERPLEX! Diamond Cage trying his best to block the superplex attempt as he holds on for dear life! But Terry is pulling! Cage breaks out of his front facelock and he grabs Terry and delivers a well placed elbow to the skull! Cage repeatedly driving his elbow into the head of Terry Chambers! Cage going ballistic with these elbows as Terry is dazed and Cage once again avoids an attack from the top rope as he pushes Terry down! Terry falls and begins rising up as Cage stays perched on the top turnbuckle! Terry begins stirring up as Cage! CAGE JUMPS!!! DIVING ELBOW DROP ONTO A STANDING TERRY CHAMBERS AS HE DROPS HIM WITH IT!
Deadprez: Terry dropped as Cage begins getting to his feet! Cage grabbing Terry up! BIG RIGHT HAND! AND HE FOLLOWS IT UP WITH A CHOP! BIG RIGHT HAND! AND HE DELIVERS A HEADBUTT!! Whoa but look! And he begins making his way over to Cage! He grabs him, BUT CAGE DRIVES HIS ELBOW INTO THE MID-SECTION! Cage now just throwing hands as he connects with a left hand! And then a right! And a forearm! He grabs Terry and sends him inside of the ring! Cage climbing onto the apron! And he climbs the top turnbuckle!
Pierre: Cage is going for another high risk move! Cage is perched! Terry immediately up on his feet runs at Cage with a boot! Cage crotched on the turnbuckle! Terry climbing up! Pierre: And look at Cage rising with the title, this has been some episode of Showdown and you have to wonder who is Cage going to defend that championship against at No Regards, who is going to step up? Showdown has plenty of talent with new guys on our roster like Chris Elite who could give Cage a potential match!

(Scott Diamond steps out as the crowd is shown going crazy)
Deadprez: IS THIS THE LAST SURPRISE OF THE EVENING? SCOTT DIAMOND IS ON SHOWDOWN!!!
Pierre: Cage looks shocked and confused as Scott walks his way down to the ring!
(Scott enters the ring as he locks eyes with Diamond Cage who backs up)
Pierre: I can’t believe what I am seeing, this is just. I’m at a lost for words!
Deadprez: Scott and Cage face to face! And Scott, SCOTT IS POINTING AT THE EAW CHAMPIONSHIP!!! AND HE POINTS AT HIMSELF!! SCOTT WANTS TO FIGHT CAGE FOR THE EAW CHAMPIONSHIP!! HE WANTS THE NEXT SHOT!!!
(Cage continues looking at Scott Diamond, before he smiles and exits the ring)
Pierre: What the hell? I know Cage isn’t one to back down from a fight no matter who it is but he just brushed off Scott Diamond!
Deadprez: I don’t know what the hell be going on in here anyway but what a night this has been!
