(RECAP – After an incredibly memorable Pain For Pride 16 from Nashville, Tennessee. Then on the following weekend it was the Draft Show that saw all the Brands filling their rosters up with the best of the best in the EAW. Voltage picked up some huge names like Minerva, TLA, Rex McAllister, Cameron Ella Ava, Dr. Bethany Blue, and Jamie O’Hara just to name a few. Dynasty put everyone on notice drafting Universal Women’s Champion Kassidy Heart, Sienna Jade, Joso, Specialist Champion, Milli Banks, Bronson Daniels, and Myles. Showdown countered with the Cash in the Vault winner, Sheridan Muller, Veena Adams, The Visual Prophet, Serenity Valdez, Hikari Kanno, Scott Diamond, and Daryl Kinkade. Each brand had a successful draft, but that also included matches such as Myles taking on Bronson Daniels and Alex Myers for the chance to be the first pick. A showcase between Michael Machina, Drake Armstrong, Delilah Rose and Rory Slate. Theron Nikolas defeated Donovan Duke while the night was topped off by a Champions Showcase, Chris Elite and Rex McAllister, finally finishing with Drake King defeating Ronan Malosi inside Hell in a Cell.)
As the recap ends, it is replaced with “Brick Wall” by a Day to Remember as the very first Showdown of Season 17 is coming live from the Amica Mutual Arena in Providence, Rhode Island. The crowd in the sold out arena are standing on their feet cheering for first exciting edition of Showdown with a new roster. They are going crazy with excitement for Showdown to begin as the camera pans around the arena showing as many fans as possible with their signs and merchandise before finishing at the commentary table where Deadprez, Eve, and Gavin Kirkland are sitting and ready to call the action. )
Deadprez: HELLO EAW UNIVERSE! WE ARE HERE FOR THE START OF SEASON 17! SOME FAMILIAR FACES, A LOT OF NEW ONES AND WE ARE IN FOR A WILD RIDE ON SHOWDOWN! I AM DEADPREZ ALONG WITH EVE AND GAVIN KIRKLAND! BRINGING YOU ALL OF THE ACTION LIKE ONLY THE BLUE BRAND CAN!
Eve: EVERYONE IS EXCITED ABOUT THIS ROSTER! KENNEDY STREET WANTED THE FUTURE, SHE IS LOOKING TO MAKE STARS AND GIVE THOSE THAT MAY HAVE BEEN STUCK BEHIND SOME OF THE BIGGER NAMES THE CHANCE TO BECOME THAT FACE OF THE COMPANY! AFTER AN INCREDIBLE AND MEMORABLE PAIN FOR PRIDE AND THE DRAFT SHOW!? I AM SO EXCITED TO SEE WHAT IS IN STORE IN SEASON 17!

A NEW NATIONAL ELITE CHAMPION, IN JON KELTON! SOME FAMILIAR FACES AND SOME THAT ARE READY TO MAKE THEIR MARK! AND OUR MAIN EVENT! TWO NEW ELITIST TO SHOWDOWN! (The camera pans to Gina Romano in the ring with mic in hand.)
Gina Romano: PROVIDENCE, RHODE ISLAND! GIVE A BIG WELCOME TO THE SHOWDOWN GENERAL MANAGER….. KENNEDY STREET!!!
(The crowd starts to boo as “Her” by Megan Thee Stallion starts to play throughout the arena. Kennedy Street walks out looking beautiful as ever with a significant limp thanks to Pain For Pride and Ms. Extreme. Wearing black tight bell bottom pants, open toed heels and a long sleeve cut off pastel halter top, long blonde hair flowing, the General Manager looks at the crowd and smiles, waving soaking in the reaction as she steps into the ring.)
Deadprez: And it kicks off with our General Manager, Kennedy Street! Many have been talking about her draft, how stacked Voltage and Dynasty are with huge names, but Kennedy wanted more, she wanted the future and by the draft, you can tell that Showdown is definitely the place to be.
Eve: It really is, a great mix of veterans with some of the brightest stars that are future World Champions with the rising Elitists that will be the names highlighted in the EAW, I really do love this roster.
Gavin Kirkland: And do NOT forget, the deepest Women’s division in the EAW!
(Kennedy paces some, smiling as she grabs the mic from Gina Romano. Her music starts to die down.)
Kennedy Street: Providence! Thank you for the warm welcome, honey! You love Kennie and you LOVE Showdown!
(The crowd continues to boo though there are some cheers.)
Kennedy Street: Let Kennie address a few things really quickly because they need to be addressed before we move on and talk about the wonderful Draft and what to expect in Season 17! At Pain for Pride, you saw a travesty of justice with Ms. Extreme and myself. It is quite disturbing that even though Impact lost, Camille finds this a “W” for her. Before Kennie continues, first off would like to wish Impact a very good rest and time off, if ANYONE deserves it, it’s him honey. Now, Ms. Extreme is no longer here, she is Dynasty’s problem now, not mine. She can revel in her moral victory; she is no longer on Showdown so who wins? ME. Now, it’s time to address a few things Kennie has seen on Social Media.
(She pauses for a moment as the crowd continues to boo.)
Kennedy Street: Thank you so much for this warm reaction. First off, Kennie saw what Drake Armstrong had to say about me. Truth be told Kennie valued Drake’s potential and his commitment to Showdown, but let’s be frank here, honey. He failed at Pain for Pride. He didn’t win the 24/7 Battle Royal and it was his fault that Ms. Extreme was able to hurt me. Truth be told, Kennie doesn’t do failure, honey. She likes winners and while I wish Drake all the luck in the world on Dynasty sucking up to Kensington and licking as much ass as he can to get nowhere, though he does give great foot massages, but whatever, he’ll be begging to come back here by mid-season. Finally, it’s time to address Ryan Joseph Wilson and DOMINION.
(Kennedy clears her throat for a moment.)
Kennedy Street: Kennedy Street is the reason Ryan had statistically the best season of his mediocre career. He’s already dragging down a Hall of Famer and World Champion Elitist like Xander Payne. He finds a way to blame everyone else for his shortcomings, he doesn’t know what the hell is going on with his own brand let alone give anything of value. Ryan Joseph Wilson was basically given the opportunity to succeed here, and he repays me by turning his back on me on many different levels. Kennie gave him an ultimatum and he failed to win the Unified Tag Team Championships. Honestly, Kennie almost drafted Xander alone, but whatever, they are on Dynasty now and Kennie can sit back, and watch Ryan destroy the career of Xander to the point he hopefully will open his eyes and leave him where he belongs, lost in the pool of REAL talent on Dynasty.
(The crowd boos as Kennedy actually starts to laugh a little.)
Kennedy Street: Enough of the past…. Let’s talk about THE FUTURE and Showdown Season 17, honey! While there are some stars that are no longer with us, incredible Elitists like Kassidy Heart, POTARA, Roberto De La Rosa, Hans Grayson, and Jake Smith just to name a few, we have an incredible influx of new and returning talent on Showdown and the Blue Brand! Look at our roster! The moment Kennie sat down on her FIRST draft she made magic and brought in the most exciting Elitists that will come out here and perform for you every single week. There is no brand more competitive than this one and that alone makes Showdown must SEE TV. Look at the card tonight alone! And now that Adam Lucas is the Answers World Champion, he has a huge target on his back and ANYONE in that locker room could be the World Champion, ANYONE. So, Kennedy Street would like to welcome ALL the Elitists that are a part of Showdown to the Blue Brand because we are going to have a hell of a season. Now….. there are some things which need Kennie’s attention and…..
(Suddenly “7 Rings” by Arianna Grande starts to play throughout the arena as the fans stand to their feet. Kennedy turns to the entranceway where a red carpet is rolled out, a bunch of paparazzi come out and start taking flash photography. Slowly Veena Adams walks out with Ashlynn Quinn. She gets a mixed reaction, but the glamor alone gets the fans excited about it. She is dressed in all pink, with a white fur coat. The beautiful blonde slowly makes her way toward the ring while Kennedy looks on.)
Deadprez: And here is the former National Elite Champion, Veena Adams! One of the top draft picks for Showdown has made her appearance! She lost the National Elite Championship at Pain For Pride and as we saw on the Draft Show she is NOT happy about it!
Eve: The way it went down, can’t really blame her though Veena will always reap what she sows. Jon Kelt5on though had a returning Pandora Paisley after he incredible and brutal match with Ms. Extreme and Amir Yusuf who both were drafted along with the champion, Jon Kelton in a package deal. Veena for all intents and purposes should be champion.
Gavin Kirkland: Veena Adams in the last two seasons has positioned herself as one of the cornerstones on Showdown. Sure, she was on and off for the first three or so seasons of her career, but look at her now! She is young, beautiful and a future World Champion! And she has Ashlynn Quinn who was also drafted to Showdown with her!
(Kennedy continues to look on at the very extravagant entrance like she had when she was a full time wrestler. Rose petals are being thrown on the red carpet as Veena takes each step on them, Ashlynn following behind. They get to the ring, the second opens the ropes for Veena as she steps through, Ashlynn follows.)
Ashlynn Quinn: Cut the music! Mother needs to speak.
(The music dies down as Veena is handed the mic. She stands in front of Kennedy and smiles. The General Manager smiles back.)
Kennedy Street: Veena, Kennie loves you…. But don’t interrupt me ever again.
Veena Adams: Right…. About that…. Sorry…. Not sorry, you understand Kennedy, a girl has to do what a girl has to do. See, I love how you talk about Showdown and how great it is this season and you are right, like there isn’t a single person arguing with you right now, and yes I was drafted with an early pick but everyone knows that I should be at the top anyway and with MY National Elite Championship. We already had this conversation on the Draft Show…. But first…. Providence, Rhode Island…. I AM YOUR GOLDEN STAR!
(The crowd boos, some cheer. Kennedy smirks and claps.)
Veena Adams: And….. I am out here because I know that Kennedy Street is going to do the right thing and give me my rematch against Jon Kelton for the National Elite Championship at Midsummer Massacre so I can be right back at the top where I belong. You know it and I know it, Kennedy. Let’s not push this any further than what it is, new season and I am the face of Showdown.
Kennedy Street: Veena, you are right honey. Kennie is the first to say it and totally agree. You were screwed out of the National Elite Championship.
Veena Adams: By your creation!
Kennedy Street: Now hold on, yes The Devolution is my creation, but Kennie has no control on what they do, and here Kennie is thinking you’d at least understand in a triple threat there are no rules and simply put, Devolution outsmarted you and Jack.
(At this point Veena is starting to get irritated.)
Kennedy Street: But…. But…. Jack is on Voltage. And you are not only the former champion, but Veena Adams is also one of the top stars here on the Blue Brand. With that said… Veena, Kennie cannot deny what you ask. And so, at Midsummer Massacre, it will be Jon Kelton defending the EAW National Elite Championship against……
(Before Kennedy can finish her sentence, “O Fortuna” by Carl Orff starts to play. The chorus loudly chants as the fans stand up and heavily boo, some cheer as Showdown’s newest acquisition, Madison Kaline slowly walks out. Veena turns with a scowl on her face. Kennedy again looks a bit annoyed at being interrupted again.)
Deadprez: Hold the phone! The familiar sounds of O Fortuna play and here comes Madison Kaline! One of the newest acquisitions for Showdown and she is a veteran and a legend. She will be featured in the Main Event tonight!
Eve: Well, we saw what she had to say this week leading into Showdown, she had made some demands from Kennedy Street and maybe this is her way of marking her territory.
Gavin Kirkland: All of these beautiful women on Showdown! Bring them all out!
(Veena is seen staring at Madison while Ashlynn is whispering something in her ear. Kennedy obviously looks a bit frustrated that she has not been able to finish what she has to say. Madison makes it into the ring and walks right up to Kennedy as the music dies down.)
Madison Kaline: Hello Kennedy Street, I have heard so much about you, all positive really and seem like my type of General Manager, one that values the talent of their roster and especially those who have become legendary Elitists in this company. I couldn’t help but overhear this little conversation and decided to take it upon myself to make sure that since you have a REAL superstar like myself on the Showdown roster and a locker room leader that deserves and has earned her demands.
Kennedy Street: Demands? Oh right, Kennie did see those.
Madison Kaline: Yes, most Elitists at my level get these, so I expect my own dressing room, parking spot by the back door and catering from Whole Foods, Fresh Market, Trader Joe’s, or all of the above.
(Kennedy tilts her head, brandishing a sarcastic smile.)
Madison Kaline: Also, I need one segment a week to address these lemmings and….
(But without warning Veena grabs Madison by the shoulder and spins her around so that they are face to face. The crowd starts to cheer as both women are almost touching noses.)
Veena Adams: You come out here and interrupt MY time. I know you are new to Showdown, but we have proper parking spaces for you, it’s called Handicapped, and it even comes with a little ramp so that someone can roll your decrepit ass up it. There are private dressing rooms supplied for you too, it’s called closets, ask one of the janitors, they will happily escort you to one. Want private catering, call Uber Eats you cheap bitch, they will gladly deliver. You have your answers, now get out of MY ring.
Madison Kaline: Oh, this is cute. Who are you again? Oh right, the resident Barbie. I understand that things are usually handed to you, and maybe after so many years of futility you think winning a few matches has made you some sort of star, but what you are looking at is the Past, Present and Future of Showdown and its Women’s Division. I see you are out here pandering for title shots, guess what, YOU LOST, so get to the back of the line, bitch.
(Kennedy is watching as Veena giggles some….)
Veena Adams: The line always starts with me, honey.
Madison Kaline: Not anymore. I expect my demands to be kept, Kennedy.
(Madison drops the mic and shoulder bumps Veena on the way out of the ring. “O Fortuna” by Carl Orff starts to play throughout the arena as Veena looks on extremely annoyed, she turns to Kennedy who just shakes her head as we can see Ashlynn saying something to her.)
Deadprez: It looks like Showdown started off quick and heavy and the new draftees are already marking their territories!
Eve: This is definitely going to be an interesting season and for someone like Madison Kaline, she has already called her shot!
Gavin Kirkland: I’m going to love Season 17!
(Madison walks off as it fades to a commercial break.)
(As it returns from the commercial, Gina Romano is standing in the ring with mic in hand ready to announce the first match of the night.)
Gina Romano: THE FIRST MATCH FOR SHOWDOWN OF SEASON 17 IS SCHEDULED FOR ONE FALL!
Crowd: ONE FALL!!!
Gina Romano: WITH A TWENTY MINUTE TIME LIMIT, AND IT IS A FATAL FOUR-WAY MATCH!
Gina Romano: INTRODUCING THE COMPETITORS…
(‘Lick it Up’ by KISS plays as the crowd cheers one of EAW’s newest arrivals on. Johnny Heat comes out of the brand-new Showdown entrance set as he proceeds down the ramp, high fiving the people in the crowd as he makes his way to the ring.)
Gina Romano: FROM LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA, JOHNNY HEAT!
(“KARATE” by BABYMETAL hits as Kasai walks out to an ecstatic crowd. They all cheer her on as she makes her way down the ramp and into the ring, where she stares down Johnny Heat.)
Gina Romano: FROM AMANI, JAPAN, THE HUNTRESS, KASAI!
(‘We Won’t Back Down’ by Ra hits as Mattias Burke comes out to more cheers. He walks down the ramp as he high fives some of his fans at ringside. However, his demeanor shifts as he stares down his opponents, entering the ring.)
Gina Romano: FROM LIVERPOOL, ENGLAND, THE NATURAL, MATTIAS BURKE!
(‘The Hills’ plays as the crowd gives Tanner Black some mixed reactions. He looks at his competitors and begins walking down the ramp with a focused demeanour, proceeding into the ring.)
Gina Romano: AND LASTLY, FROM MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE, THE UNDISPUTED FOREVER, TANNER BLACK!
(DING! DING! DING)
Gavin Kirkland: Here we are! New Showdown, new talents! All of these competitors are just rushing in like a bull, as Tanner goes after Johnny, Kasai goes after Mattias! Kasai is going crazy hard here, proceeding to batter the living hell out of Mattias as Tanner does the same! They’re both going crazy here, as Johnny is really struggling under Tanner’s massive size advantage!
Eve: And Kasai and Tanner have the advantage so far in this match! Kasai picks Mattias up as she throws him out of the ring, and Tanner does the same with Johnny! Neither of them are looking to make this a slow match, as both Tanner and Kasai come right out the gate and start striking each other out! Kasai landing elbows, with Tanner landing devastating punches! Both of them are really starting to create excitement here!
Deadprez: Johnny and Mattias are outside, as Johnny and Mattias rush towards each other with Mattias immediately sending a lariat, as Johnny does the same! They both hit each other on the outside as both men are down! The referee is trying to control the match here as they’re all going wild! In the middle of the ring, Tanner picks Kasai up and proceeds to dump her right on her head for a German Suplex!
Gavin Kirkland: Johnny and Mattias get up first, as the two of them rush to the center of the ring and send a double dropkick to the face of Tanner Black! They look at each other as they agree to drive two knees into Tanner’s jaw, knocking him out and bringing the light back to both Johnny and Mattias, two of the most risk-taking people in this match-up! Johnny tries a Spinning Heel Kick, but Mattias ducks under and tries a sweep! Johnny evades it, as he does a backflip!
Eve: And Mattias wastes no time sending a slap to Johnny’s face, before rebounding off the ropes, laying Johnny out with a Frankensteiner! Johnny does a front flip to land on his feet, but he’s taken down with a Dragon Suplex from out of nowhere by Mattias! This is going wild early on, and I love it! Mattias proceeds to do a backflip and manages to bring Johnny with it, before launching him right into the turnbuckle! Mattias, what has gotten into you? Tanner wakes up and he sends a clothesline into Mattias’ face, but Mattias ducks right under it and flips into a Pele Kick!
Deadprez: I’m trying to figure out where everything his happening, but it’s all happening so fast! Tanner is down, and Kasai is right there! Mattias is caught off guard with a roundhouse kick, but Kasai rebounds off and is caught with a European Uppercut! Mattias has just laid everybody out and this is starting to look like a potential victory for the lad! The crowd is cheering him on as he gets on the top rope! He tries a flip, but no! Johnny gets him with an uppercut!
Gavin Kirkland: But Mattias falls over and manages to flip right onto Tanner’s body, and catches Johnny with a flying neckbreaker! Kasai is looking on and she’s impressed, but Mattias’ momentum leads him to stand up right into a dropkick from Kasai which sends Mattias flying into the turnbuckle, as he drops down on Tanner and Johnny, who both have their shoulders down!

Eve: It took Kasai a minute to see what was going on, but she does! She pulls Mattias off and grabs his trunks! She lifts him up and throws him right into the both of them, but they roll off at the same time as Kasai causes Mattias to drop right down on the mat! Tanner rolls under Kasai as Johnny grabs his waist! Tanner turns around, as he lifts the both of them for another German Suplex! Tanner does a backflip as well to show his agility, but Johnny uses his flexibility to get up hands-free and headbutt Tanner right in the nose!
Deadprez: And Johnny might have his show here, as he kicks Tanner repeatedly in the ribs with high speed, and follows it up by picking Kasai up in a Fireman’s Carry as he drives her whole weight into Tanner’s face! Johnny just rolls over and he’s taking it all in from the crowd! Mattias looks on and he’s impressed, but clearly, Johnny didn’t forget about him! He grabs Mattias by the neck and lays him out on the rope! He rebounds off the opposite rope and—
Gavin Kirkland: He immediately launches Mattias to the outside with a powerbomb, but Johnny just rolls off again! He’s on the outside and throws Mattias back in, as this time, it’s his turn to have laid everybody out! Do these people think they’re in an anime or what? This is some insane level stuff here! Goddamn, man. Johnny is keeping an eye out to see who’s going to come alive next, and it’s Kasai! The person who took the least damage in this match gets up as Johnny is caught off guard with an elbow to the back of the head!
Eve: Kasai is looking around as Tanner gets up next, but Kasai kicks him with force, showing simplicity doesn’t have to be so bad! Her tactic is to keep things simple, but how long is this going to last? Mattias gets up next and manages to land a right hook, but Kasai drops down and throws him with an Ippon Seoi-Nage! Kasai looks at the fans as he’s shaking her head. Does she really want to try something stupid here like everyone else did? Nah, as Kasai pulls Mattias and goes for the pin!

Deadprez: KICKOUT BY MATTIAS! He kicks out as Kasai looks on in disappointment! She mounts on top of him and proceeds to send wild punches into his nose, before standing up and stomping on his chest! Quite literally, I’m starting to think she’s fed up with everybody else being so flashy! I understand why. But damn, these people are so physically impressive, it’s extraordinary. Clearly, Kasai might not think the same but she might have some respect for the crazy stuff they just pulled earlier!
Gavin Kirkland: But you have to also think, maybe putting it all on the line too fast was a bad idea as well! Perhaps they should’ve kept their pace all throughout, trying to spread it but this is starting to become quite the bummer! Maybe they’re too tired to keep moving forward, maybe they aren’t. Kasai is just using simplicity to pick them apart, as she’s moving towards a broken Tanner Black! Now she’s unloading shots upon shots on him, trying to break him apart. Kicks are landing and she’s really pushing the pace here.
Eve: Maybe now Kasai can really start to showcase some of her skill, considering all of her opponents might’ve done a stupid move this early on in the match! Tanner comes in and he’s trying to land several shots to Kasai, but she dodges them all Matrix-style and throws Tanner over her head with a Fireman’s Carry throw! They’re all using acrobatics to win this match, but she’s just using plain old hand to hand combat, and I love it! Now it’s Kasai really aiming to try something here, and she pulls a risky one by rebounding off ropes and sending both her knees into Tanner’s jaw!
Deadprez: And now Tanner Black is down, and Kasai has control over the rest of this match so far! Tanner is really taking the brunt here, and this may come with the curse of possibly being the largest man in the match! Kasai leaps off the springboard as she rams her elbow right into his nose, making him really stressed out here tonight! She is taking full control of everything from here on out, and it’s starting to show. Mattias rises up and he tries something of his own, a roundhouse kick— but Kasai ducks under it and throws him out of the ring!
Gavin Kirkland: Tanner tries to cheap-shot Kasai, but no! Johnny is right there and he immediately picks him up with his legs and throws him out of the ring for an immediate Frankensteiner! He runs off the ropes and lands right into Tanner with a massive Tope Con Hilo, taking him out! Johnny throws Tanner back inside, as Kasai attempts to hit him with a front kick, but Johnny pulls Tanner towards the foot and knocks him out! Kasai is stunned, but Johnny takes this opportunity and hits her with a running Canadian Destroyer! Now Kasai is out! Johnny goes for the cover!

Eve: No! Kasai kicks out of it and Johnny is stunned, he immediately tries running off the ropes, but no! Here comes Mattias Burke from out of nowhere! Meteora! Johnny is down and Mattias now has control of the match here! Now it’s his turn, as he goes after Johnny, sending him into the ropes with an Irish Whip! No! Johnny sends him instead, but Mattias grabs his wrist and proceeds to slam him right onto the mat ! Mattias and Johnny are both really going at it here, as Mattias is having the upper hand so far! Two of these men are some of the fastest in this match so far, and Tanner is just laying out, knocked out! He didn’t expect this in the least bit, did he now?
Deadprez: Judging by his face, I don’t think he did! Tanner attempts to lay both of them out but no! Mattias and Johnny duck under as they both send a devastating superkick to his face! He’s still standing, and Johnny hits a Missile Dropkick! Tanner’s staggering back, and Mattias immediately lifts him up and slams him down with an Emerald Flowsion! Deadfall connects, and Mattias goes for the cover on Tanner Black! Is he out of this match?

Gavin Kirkland: No! Kasai is right there and she breaks up the pin, as now she’s trying to fight two opponents at once! Mattias and Johnny know she can deliver some insane damage, so they have to take her out right here! They try another Superkick, but Kasai ducks under and catches him off guard with a frontflip Lariat! Guess Kasai does have some acrobatics in her! Both of them are really showing what they have in store for us here, as Kasai comes in and goes after Tanner, who, despite all the abuse, is still standing! Tanner is getting beat down like crazy here, but he comes back and manages to lay her out with one clothesline!
Eve: That man has insane strength, whether you like it or not, as Mattias and Johnny both get up at the same time! Mattias and Johnny are now swinging shots over and over again, trying to get the wind out of each other! But no! Johnny gets the upper hand and manages to grab Mattias by the neck! He lifts him up, but not fast enough! Kasai hits a Reverse Cutter on the both of them, as they’re now both down! Kasai puts Johnny on top of Mattias, and now she’s going for the pin here! What is going on? What is she trying to do?

Deadprez: No! Tanner breaks the pin, and he’s looking at Kasai and wondering if he made some bad life decision! Kasai hits him with a kick to the liver, before lifting Tanner up and slamming him down onto her knee for a Tilt-a-Whirl Backbreaker! Man, they are really doing some insane stuff in there, let me tell you. Kasai hits him with a Headbutt, as Mattias and Johnny are both laid out! Now she has Tanner all to herself, and she’s kicking him rapidly in many different areas! She’s really toying with him right now, but Tanner picks her leg up and throws her against the corner!
Gavin Kirkland: Tanner is trying to out-muscle here, but no! Mattias wakes up and slams both of his hands against the back of his head! Mattias and Kasai are eye to eye in the ring, as Kasai tries to land a quick jab, but Mattias counters with a throw of his own! Johnny is out and he’s rolled on the outside, and Mattias tries to attempt a powerbomb, and he almost has it— BUT NO! KASAI DOES A HURRICARANA AND TOSSES MATTIAS HEADFIRST INTO THE BARRICADE! Tanner is all alone now, and Kasai smells blood!
Eve: She hits him with a devastating Superkick, as she takes it to the skies! Her chance is right here! Can she get the victory? She leaps off and goes for a Moonsault Legdrop! It’s over, Tanner is pinned! Johnny and Mattias are on the outside! She calls the referee on and it’s the cover! The count begins!

(“KARATE” by BABYMETAL hits as Kasai has her hand raised after an insane match. Tanner is rolled out because of all the abuse, as Johnny and Mattias look at each other and back at Kasai, disappointed. They go their opposite ways as Kasai walks up the entrance ramp, happy as it fades to a few scenes from The Draft Show and Showdown’s picks..)
(‘Riptide’ by Grandson hits over the PA system, and Serenity Valdez walks out onto the stage, predictably to a chorus of boos that does nothing but make her roll her eyes. She lifts her hands and starts conducting the crowd, which brings the volume up another notch, before she starts to walk down the ramp.)
Deadprez: Serenity Valdez coming to the ring, another of the newly drafted Elitists we are going to be seeing a lot of this season.
Eve: And doesn’t it look a little weird, Serenity coming out here without the Queen Bee’s. No Sierra Bradford, no Mei Sasaki.
Gavin Kirkland: While I would love more beautiful women on Showdown, we got THE Queen Bee. She’s here, and you can bet she means business.
Deadprez: Well, she certainly doesn’t seem to be in the best of moods that’s for sure.
(Serenity reaches the ring, and slides under the bottom rope, and as she shakes her head, she takes a microphone from one of the crew. She walks around the ring, her head lowered as she takes it all in. Finally, she lifts her head, the crowd still reacting to her even being here, and she starts to speak.)
Serenity Valdez: I don’t know what happened.
(The crowd really doesn’t care, and boos regardless just at the sound of her voice.)
Deadprez: This crowd is not giving Serenity the warmest welcome, are they?
Eve: She’s someone that they will love to hate that’s for sure.
Serenity Valdez: One minute, I’m dominating the EAW with the Queen Bee’s, taking over the company some might say. And now, the Queen Bees are not a part of Showdown. I have no clue what the decision was around that, I can only suggest that it was an oversight. But do you know something else I don’t understand? How I managed to come up short against Milli Banks at Pain for Pride.
(Now a cheer rings out, Serenity showing her disgust at the reaction.)
Gavin Kirkland: I don’t understand that either.
Eve: On the night she wasn’t good enough… it’s very simple to understand.
Serenity Valdez: And I get it, I understand your feelings totally. Pain for Pride was just another example of a match that with my superior talent I should have won quite easily. I get it, that people like yourselves, without the intelligence that I possess, wouldn’t get that with each loss, I learned more and more.
Deadprez: Yeah, insult the crowd Serenity, that’s going to get them on your side
Gavin Kirkland: She doesn’t care Prez, isn’t that obvious.
(Serenity pauses for a moment, taking it all in.)
Serenity Valdez: So, when I learned that I was drafted to Showdown, with Kennedy Street at the helm, a woman that I respect very much, I know that those defeats were for a reason. They were all for me to be seen by the blue brand, and to be drafted to this show with a top pick and make it better than it has ever been before. But you know what I learned more than anything else…
Deadprez: Oh, please tell us, we are on tented hooks. No sarcasm, honest.
(A huge smile forms on Serenity’s face, her eyes almost sneering at the crowd as she starts to laugh.)
Serenity Valdez: Forget the Queen Bee’s… I DO NOT NEED THEM. They existed, solely because of ME!! You are looking at the Empress of Elite, and I WILL be a World Champion when I decide to cash in my crown. And you know what, there isn’t a single person on this roster that is going to stop me. No one. Why do you think Kennedy Street wasted no time bringing me to this place and relinquishing some of the biggest names in EAW? She did that because their times were over, and my time is now. Why would I need the Queen Bee’s to be here, when I can do things by myself? But hey, just in case, I have a good relationship with Devolution, and especially my girl Pandora Paisley. I don’t need a bunch of losers dragging me down and distracting me so I lose matches that I should win with ease. YES, I am the EMPRESS OF ELITE. I dominated that tournament without breaking a sweat. And every single one of you… you forgot that fact. But you’re going to be reminded this season, mark my words.
(She starts to laugh again, really enjoying the moment and the reaction from the crowd who have been giving her stick since the first moment she appeared. Her mood from earlier was obviously a ruse, as she seems almost giddy with excitement.)
Serenity Valdez: Let me make it clear so that everyone can understand the situation from the off. This IS going to be MY season, the year in which I am recognized as the best female wrestler on this, or any roster. Showdown may well have the best female division in this company, with some talented individuals who will love to shove my words back down my throat, but there isn’t a single one of them who can match up to me when I am at my best. I’ll admit that in the past I have been guilty of standing by and waiting for things to happen, but not anymore. With Kennedy Street clearly having the same vision as myself, I know that without a single shred of doubt, they ARE going to happen. Remember this moment… the moment that Serenity Valdez put Showdown on notice.
(Serenity allows the mic to drop to the canvas, and it does with a thud, ‘Riptide’ by Grandson starts to play throughout the arena as she makes her way through the strands and jumps off the apron. A fan tries to touch her as she passes but she steps away, looking at the individual with pouring scorn before she makes her way up the ramp.)
Deadprez: Well, I think that was clear… Serenity Valdez is going to be someone to watch this season.
Eve: She’s always been determined to be the best she can be, but moving to Showdown might be the platform for her to reach those levels.
Deadprez: Seems like the Queen Bee’s not being around won’t be to her detriment that’s for sure. She’s going to be very dangerous going it alone.
Gavin Kirkland: You heard her, she won’t be alone. Yes, the Queen Bees are no more, but Serenity has allies on this show that’s clear. And not just any allies, it seems she’s caught the eye of Kennedy Street.
Eve: That’s true
Deadprez: No matter what happens, it’s going to be very interesting to watch Serenity compete against, as she says, perhaps the most competitive women’s division on ANY brand.
(The camera pans back to Serenity as she exits through the curtain, the scene then cutting away.)
(Showdown faded backstage and there seemed to be someone seemingly in a rush as they quickly hurried along the hallways, being accompanied by a cameraman passing by and making sure to not hit anybody on the way. It was Kyra Phillips! She heard news that one of the new wrestlers drafted to Showdown was arriving and as soon as she heard him being described as a Hall of Famer, she didn’t waste any time on going towards the entrance doors of the Amica Mutual Arena. And she arrived just in time for when the man arrived and passed through the doors, a gigantic figure standing upright…it was none other than the man known as Scott Diamond.)
(And…he was actually in a surprisingly good mood actually! He was pulling along his baggage, as he wore a normal fit, blue jeans, a black jacket and most surprisingly…a cowboy hat on his head. Everyone on Showdown was still shocked that Scott was able to be drafted to the blue brand, he was a great acquisition for Showdown of course but considering what he is capable of, he can either be a good thing or a very bad one in the wrong situations. Kyra quickly got ready as the man got closer to her, he…was indeed bigger than she expected. But luckily, she caught him in a good mood as he stood along next to Kyra with a smile on his face.)
Kyra Phillips: Hey there Scott, welcome to Showdown! It is a great pleasure to have you here!
Scott Diamond: The pleasure is all mine, Kyra. It has been a very long time since I stepped foot here, I think the last time I was on Showdown was when I had altercations to settle with Diamond Cage, but it has been a while so my memory is a little fuzzy there, either way, it still brings back some memories.
Kyra Phillips: Good to hear, and oh, uh, just a little question out of curiosity, where did the cowboy hat come from?
(Scott looked up for a moment and he let out a chuckle as he adjusted the cowboy hat on his head.)
Scott Diamond: Oh, it is nothing much, it is a souvenir one of my kids gifted me for Father’s Day, he said I always looked like a “valient giant cowboy who rode off into the sunset”, I do not really think I am that kind of man at all but I wear it in special occasions when I am in a really good mood.
Kyra Phillips: That’s a really cute story Scott, thank you for telling me! But right, let’s not get off-topic, as you know, in the Season 17 Draft, you got drafted here to Sunday Night Showdown, and I was wondering…how do you feel about being drafted to this brand?
Scott Diamond: Well, short answer, I don’t really care about which brand I end up on, it is going to end up being the same story, long answer…I like it! There are some familiar faces around this roster, of course, the man I ended up facing at Pain for Pride this year, some people I faced in Dynasty…and yeah, that is it. Mostly everybody around here is someone new I have never got into the ring with before, a lot of new faces to discover, and there is a good chance all of them are just the same repetitive batch of inflated ego, arrogance and unimportance to what actually matters. It is my pessimistic side speaking for me again here but I have been very vocal in my videos about the new generation of Elitists and how they carry themselves around here, what they actually represent and what they fight for, but this time, maybe it is a good idea if I open up my mind a little bit, maybe I just needed a change of scenery and to be in a so called…”Land of Opportunity”. Maybe I can finally be proven wrong in my way of thinking but Kyra, you should know better than anyone that Scott Diamond does what Scott Diamond wants.
Kyra Phillips: And there is no doubt there indeed, but of course, we can’t also forget you making your triumphant return to Pain for Pride! You ended up fighting against the Visual Prophet after weeks of you going at each other throats, but after a sudden action from Cy Henderson that tipped the scale on your favor, you were able to win the match and get another Pain for Pride moment under your belt, what are your thoughts about what happened in the match?
Scott Diamond: Well, I am absolutely sure that moment isn’t going to be as clean as the others under that belt, and am I angry about how the match ended up going? Of course, on the records it says I ended up beating another Hall of Famer and multiple time World Champion, but there will always be that one little asterisk to the side where it says Cy Henderson ended up getting involved in that happening. It is a dog eat dog world, I’ll even say at the moment I didn’t know Cy did that, I just saw the Visual Prophet moving towards me and I didn’t hesitate on hitting The Vortex, it was later after when I saw the footage of the match that Cy ended up pushing him towards me. I didn’t really think he had that in him, considering how he liked playing hero and defeated me at Pain for Pride almost a decade ago, and he said he came back just to see how it feels to be in EAW again and simply referee and mediate my match against The Visual Prophet, maybe it was for pride, maybe it was for something else, by this point, it is behind me, I got too many years in this world to let that kind of thing affect me so I am just simply going to move forward down the road and see if I end up getting hit by a truck or not.
(Kyra let out a small, slightly nervous, laugh at Scott’s sense of humour as she continued talking.)
Kyra Phillips: Understandable, so with you looking forward to a new brand, with new plans, what are your plans for tonight, Scott?
(Scott actually stayed quiet for a few seconds as Kyra asked her that, he simply scratched his beard before responding.)
Scott Diamond: Don’t you think the interior of this arena is beautiful, Kyra?
Kyra Phillips: Oh…well, yes, it is indeed an interesting interior but what does that have to do with the que-
Scott Diamond: No wonder a lot of events are held in this place, it has a style that catches the eye!
Kyra Phillips: Scott-
Scott Diamond: In fact, this arena was actually called before the Dunkin’ Donuts Center, and saying that has already got me on the mood to go get some donuts-
Kyra Phillips: Scott! Please!
(It was very clear Scott was trying to evade the question and so as Kyra said please, Scott let out a sigh and his smile disappeared slightly as he relented and began talking.)
Scott Diamond: I won’t give you an answer. So I just want to use this time to clarify that I didn’t really come back here to EAW for the money, or for more championships and accomplishments, I lost the care for those kinds of things, I just wanted to wrestle again. You could say in some cases it was the love for the game pulling me back to give it a try once more. I missed EAW, I missed being in the ring, I missed the feeling of being backstage reminiscing and meeting old faces, I missed the feeling of my theme music blasting right behind me, I missed the sound of the crowd…I missed everything. But there is sometimes that thought that appears at the back of my mind that reminds me that during all of the time I was gone, I was lost to time, I was forgotten, and I realized that after all of the horrible things I did in the past, the name Scott Diamond no longer strikes terror. And so after taking that heavy loss against Limmy Monaghan, it got me thinking that eventually the years I have to do this are going to run out for me and there will be things I wanted that I will never be able to do or run out of time to prove something that was eating away at me deep inside.
Scott Diamond: So really, the only answer that I can give you is…stay tuned and find out what happens next. Have a good night, Kyra.
(Scott gave Kyra a friendly pat in the back and then continued walking forward, just then as he left, he slowly took off his cowboy hat and put it inside his baggage, as the smile he had was long gone and all he had was a focused and serious expression on his face as he made his way further into the arena, and the last shot before it faded away was the perplexed but also worried expression of Kyra Phillips as Showdown faded to ringside.)
(‘Ten Ton Hammer’ by Machine Head plays as the crowd rains down boos on Halsey Neel who makes her way out onto the stage. She pays no attention to the crowd while making her way down to the ring with a look of determination on her face.)
Gina Romano: THE FOLLOWING CONTEST IS SET FOR ONE FALL!!!
Crowd: ONE FALL!!!
GIna Romano: INTRODUCING FIRST….FROM BIRMINGHAM, ENGLAND…WEIGHING IN AT 159 POUNDS…..SHE IS “THE RIPPER”….HAALLSEEEEEYYYY NEEEEEELLLL!!!!!
Eve: One of the picks in the draft that in my opinion was an absolute steal. She stole the show many times over on Voltage and showed just how bright of a future she has and this season she looks to break out on the blue brand and reach her full potential of perhaps becoming a champion.
Gavin Kirkland: :mjlit: Me too.
Deadprez: A warrior too because we saw what she went through at Pain for Pride. Without one of her #DisneyBesties as well, you have to wonder if that’s going to play a factor this season as well.
(‘Ten Ton Hammer’ by Machine Head plays as the crowd gives a mixed reaction to Lucas Johnson as he walks out onto the stage. He takes a deep breath before making his way to the ring with his eyes dead set on Halsey.)
Gina Romano: AND HER OPPONENT…FROM LONG ISLAND, NEW YORK…WEIGHING IN AT 204 POUNDS….HE IS “THE EMPEROR OF VIOLENCE”….LUUCCAASSSS JOOOHHNNNSSOOONNNN!!!!
Deadprez: You have to give the guy credit for persistence because no matter how much he gets knocked down, he always gets up and he keeps fighting. We all know that in this business all it takes is one win to get you over the hump and turn your career around and the timing with the new season, there’s no better time for Lucas to finally break through than now against someone like Halsey.
(Ding! Ding! Ding!)
Deadprez: This match between Lucas and Halsey is underway now as they both circle the ring and look for the other to make the first move, and they finally lock up in the center of the ring as Halsey backs Lucas into the corner but Lucas puts himself between the second rope as the referee steps in to create a little bit if separation between the two.
Referee: ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! COME ON BACK IT UP!
Eve: Halsey is forced to bsck uo a few feet but not for long as she tries grabbing Lucas but he dodges out of the way as they both circle thenring once more before they once again lock up in a collar and elbow tie-up in the center of the ring! It’s a struggle between the two before Lucas gets her in a side headlock. Halsey tries to run and push him off to the ropes but Lucas drops down to a knee doubling down the pressure before flipping Halsey over into her back still having the headlock applied…but not for long as Halsey clips the head causing the break before they both race up to their feet as Lucas runs with a full head of steam….but Halsey counters with. Back body drop sending Lucas flying over the top rope!
Eve: Halsey looks to follow that up as she runs off the ropes and delivers a suicide dive through the second rope driving Lucas back first into barricade! Halsey is on fire in the early goings as Halsey looks to keep this flurry going as she delivers several right hand punches before throwing Lucas back into the ring before she hops up onto the apron and climbs up to the top rope…SHE BALANCES HERSELF UP TOP AS LUCAS STANDS UP AND TURNS AROUND TO FACE HER…AND SHE TAKES OUT LUCAS WITH A DIVING CROSSBODY, AND UH OH! Halsey immediately grabs a hold of the legs and puts him in a figure four submission hold! Halsey in clear control of this in the early goings as Lucas might already be in some serious trouble, what’s he going to do here to get out of this?
Deadprez: Lucas is trying to drag himself over to that bottom rope but Halsey for sure isn’t making it easy in doing so! Lucas is almost inches away now as he reaches out….And Halsey lets go of the submission knowing what was about to happen with him getting to the bottom rope and drags Lucas by the feet back to the middle of the ring looking to lock it on once more….but Lucas uses his feet and kicks Halsey back as her head whiplashes off the turnbuckle in the corner! That buys Lucas enough time as he stands back up and Halsey walks into his arms…AND LUCAS DELIVERS A BELLY TO BACK SUPLEX! Now it’s Lucas who has the momentum now as he begins to stalk her from behind as she stirs back up to her feet…AND TAKES HER DOWN WITH A RUNNING NECKBREAKER BEFORE GOING FOR THE FIRST OVER OF THIS MATCH!!

Gavin Kirkland: The kickout from Halsey as Lucas right away looks to go right back on the attack repeatedly driving his fist into her face before picking her up and driving her back first into the corner! Shoulder thrust after shoulder thrust from Lucas in the corner before delivering several uppercuts to the face and then sits her on the top rope! What could he possibly have in mind here?
Eve: Lucas goes up top with her and is trying to go for the superplex, but Halsey is trying with all her will to block it as she throws several shots to his ribs before delivering a few uppercut shots of her own while Lucas is trying to deliver it anyway but isn’t having much luck in doing so….AND OH MY!!! HALSEY DELIVERS A HARD HEADBUTT TO THE SKULL OF LUCAS AS HE NEARLY FALLS OFF BUT HALSEY CATCHES HIM FROM FALLING…AND OH MY GOD!!! HALSEY LEAPS OVER LUCAS AND DELIVERS A SUNSET FLIP BOMB FROM THE TOP ROPE AS LUCAS LANDS HARD ON THE BACK OF HIS HEAD! Halsey isn’t done though as Lucas stumbles up to a knee and she runs off the ropes and hits a shining wizard to the back of the head and flips him over to go for the cover!

Deadprez: Lucas kicks out and Halsey right away puts him in a chinlock as Lucas is trying his best to break free from her grip! Lucas though gets up to a vertical base after a few moments and drives his elbow into her midsection causing her to let go…AND UH OH! LUCAS JUMPS UP AND LOCKS HER IN THE TRIANGLE CHOKE AS SHE FALLS DOWN TO BOTH KNEES! That caught Halsey and the rest of us a bit off guard there as Lucas takes control of the match now! Now it’s Halsey who is the one in some serious trouble as Lucas is squeezing every last breath out of her!
Eve: LOOK!! HALSEY USES HER STRENGTH AND SOMEHOW PICKS LUCAS UP AND THROWS HIM INTO THE CORNER CONNECTING WITH A BUCKLE BOMB!! Lucas stumbles out of the corner and tries swinging at Halsey’s head but she ducks it and faces his backside and delivers a snap German suplex that drives the back of Lucas’s head into the second turnbuckle! Lucas head has taken quite a bit of damage in this match so far and Halsey knows it as she continuously begins to stomp away at his head and neck area before getting him up off the mat and getting him in position – “BLOOD ON THE LEAVES!!!” THE FIREMAN’S CARRY ROUNDHOUSE KICK CONNECTS ON LUCAS AS HALSEY FLIPS HIM OVER AND MAKES THE COVER ONCE MORE!!

Gavin Kirkland: And Lucas just gets the shoulder up in time! HALSEY LOOKS TO RIGHT AWAY GO BACK ON THE ATTACK TRYING TO APPLY AN ARMBAR, BUT LUCAS LOCKS HIS FINGERS AS TIGHT AS HE POSSIBLY CAN TRYING TO FIGHT OUT OF THIS PREDICAMENT!! After several moments of them struggling with one another, Lucas somehow gets on his knees mounting over Halsey and begins driving his forearm into her face over and over again which causes her to let go of his arm as Lucas breathes a huge sigh of relief as he scoots over into the corner.
Eve: Lucas pulls himself up on the corner after several seconds and now walks over to Halsey and begins stomping away at each one of her limbs before falling back into the corner and begging her to get up to her feet! Halsey stumbles back up to her feet and turns around….AND LUCAS RUNS AND GOES FOR HIS “LIGHTSWITCH” CLAYMORE KICK – BUT HALSEY GETS OUT OF DODGE AT THE LAST SECOND AS LUCAS MISSES! Lucas stands back up and Halsey was waiting on him with a knife edge chop! And then another knife edge chop! And then a third one before he stumbles back into the corner! HALSEY CHARGES AND THEN DELIVERS A LEAPING SPLASH IN THE CORNER!! All the momentum has shifted back to Halsey now as she goes for an Irish whip to the opposite corner…
Deadprez: But Lucas reverse ms it sending Halsey into the corner and here comes Lucas…but Halsey stops him in his tracks by getting her boot up before she hops on the second rope….AND SHE DELIVERS A TORNADO DDT SPIKING LUCAS’S HEAD STRAIGHT INTO THE MAT AS SHE CRAWLS OVER AND GOES FOR ANOTHER COVER!!

Gavin Kirkland: And oh not quite enough yet as Lucas continues to fight on and Halsey wastes no time in getting him up off the mat looking to put him away for good as she places him between the legs…BUT LUCAS COUNTERS WITH W BACK BODY DROP! Lucas buys himself some valuable time here as the both of them stand up and turn around to face one another at the same time…AND LUCAS DRILLS HER WITH A VICIOUS HEADBUTT THAT CAUSES HER TO STUMBLE DOWN TO A KNEE! Lucas looks to take advantage of the situation now as he gets Halsey in position….AND LUCAS DRILLS HER FACE FIRST INTO THE MAT WITH THE SKULL CRUSHING FINALE!!

Eve: BUT HALSEY GETS THE SHOULDER UP AT THE VERY LAST POSSIBLE SECOND!!! Lucas now shows some dignity of frustration before he slowly begins to pick her up off the mat by the head, but then Halsey out of nowhere knocks his hands away and delivers a stiff headbutt shot of her own! Lucas responds back with a hard forearm shot to the face, and Halsey l retaliates with a hard European uppercut to the jaw! Both competitors are just going back and forth with the other battling for control over the other!
Deadprez: AND HALSEY LOOKS TO HAVE CONTROL AS SHE REPEATEDLY DRIVES THE ELBOW INTO LUCAS’S FACE AS HARD AS SHE CAN AND HE STUMBLES BACK INTO THE CORNER! Halsey backpedals into the opposite corner and charges as quick as she can looking for another super splash….BUT LUCAS MOVES OUT OF THE WAY AT THE LAST SECOND, AND THEN HE ROLLS HER UP FROM BEHIND!!!

You can’t get any closer than than as Lucas gets up to his feet right away and goes for his “Lightswitch” claymore…but again Halsey sidesteps it as she runs off the ropes – AND NEARLY SLICES LUCAS IN HALF WITH A DEVASTATING SPEAR!!! AND HERE’S THE HOOK OF THE LEG FROM HALSEY, WILL THIS BE ENOUGH?!

Eve: NO IT’S NOT AS LUCAS SOMEHOW AGAIN GETS THE SHOULDER UP AND LUCES TO KEEP FIGHTING! Now the frustration might be starting to set in as Halsey now stands up and begins to stalk Lucas like a shark that smells blood in the water. Lucas slowly stirs back up to his feet and turns around and walks right into the arms of Halsey who…HALSEY PUTS HIM IN POSITION FOR “THE FALL” –
Deadprez: BUT LUCAS STILL HAS SOME FIGHT IN HIM AS HE SPINS OUT OF IT…AND OH MY HE JUST LAID OUT HALSEY WITH A HARD BIG BOOT STRIKE RIGHT TO THE FACE! Lucas looks to take advantage of this window of opportunity as he gingerly makes his way over to the corner and slowly begins to ascend up to the top turnbuckle! What does Lucas have in mind here? This is a huge risk at this point in the match…AND HE LEAPS OFF GOING FOR THE RED ARROW!! BUT HALSEY GIT THE KNEES UP JUST IN TIME!!! Lucas took a massive risk there and it just might end up costing him this match!
Gavin Kirkland: AND NOW HALSEY RUNS UP BEHIND HIM AND DELIVERS A HUGE GERMAN SUPLEX! SHE HOLDS ON THOUGH LOOKING TO GO FOR A SECOND ONE, AND IT CONNECTS!! AND THEN SHE DELIVERS A THIRD ONE!! Three German suplexes from Halsey as she looks to be in the perfect spot to put Lucas away as he uses the ropes to help pull himself up…AND THEN HALSEY TRIES TO GO FOR ANOTHER SPEAR BUT LUCAS SIDESTEPS AND SENDS HER SHOULDER FIRST INTO THE RING POST THROUGH THE SECOND TURNBUCKLE!! Lucas is trying to shake the cobwebs out as he stands and Halsey steps out from the corner….AND HE RUNS UP BEHIND HER AND HITS ANOTHER SKULL CRUSHING FINALE!!! AND NOW LUCAS GOES FOR ANOTHER COVER, THIS HAS GOTTA BE IT!!

Deadprez: AND HALSEY KICKS OUT AGAIN!!! Lucas now is visibly frustrated because of the fact that Halsey has survived two skull crushing finale as he pounds the mat. Lucas gets up and us practically begging Halsey to to stand up. Halsey stumbles up to her feet and Lucas goes and hooks both of the arms from behind going for the skull crushing finale for a third time…BUT HALSEY THIS TIME DOESN’T LET IT HAPPEN TRYING TO FIGHT OUT OF IT BEFORE DROPPING TO HER KNEES AS LUCAS ROLLS THROUGH BACK UP TO HIS FEET AND CHARGES AT HALSEY..
BUT OH NO!!! “OFF WITH YOUR HEAD!!!!” THE BICYCLE AND YAKUZA KICK COMBO FROM HALSEY AS BOTH OF THEM ARE DOWN IN THE CENTER OF THE RING!!
Eve: Halsey then turns to her side….AND HALSEY HOOKS BOTH OF THE ARMS AND BRIDGES LOCKING IN HER CATTLE MUTILATION SUBMISSION!!! Lucas is in some deep trouble here as Halsey has it locked in deep but he’s continuing to fight with all that he’s got left here! Lucas begins to slowly drag himself closer to that bottom rope but how much does he truly have left? He stretches his lower body out as far as he can while both of his arms are trapped….AND HE GETS HIS FOOT ON THE BOTTOM ROPE FORCING THE BREAK!!! The referee tries to get Halsey to let go giving her the five count before she does and drags him back to the center of the ring and then tries to put him in a half Boston crab….
Deadprez: But Lucas uses his free foot and kicks Halsey straight in the face trying to create some separation between the two before using his feet shoving her back first into the corner allowing himself to get up to a knee as Halsey runs going for a knee to the side of his skull…BUT LUCAS SIDESTEPS IT AND TAKES HALSEY DOWN WITH A JUMPING NECKBREAKER! Lucas is trying to pump himself up as the two of them roll to opposite ends of the ring and stand up at the same time…AND HERE COMES LUCAS FLYING AT HER WITH A FULL HEAD OF STEAM…BUT HALSEY COUNTERS WITH A FLAPJACK AS LUCAS BOUNCES FACE FIRST OFF THE SECOND TURNBUCKLE!!
Eve: Halsey looks to be in complete control of this match now and she looks to take advantage as she pulls herself up with the ropes as Lucas slowly stirs back to his feet holding his stomach and face in pain….AND HALSEY GRABS HIM AND PUTS HIM IN PERFECT POSITION BETWEEN THE LEGS FOR “THE DECONSTRUCTION OF EVERYTHING”….AND IT CONNECTS!!! THE TEQUILA SUNRISE SPIKES LUCAS RIGHT ON TOP OF HIS HEAD AS HALSEY TURNS HIM ON HIS BACK AND HOOKS THE LEG FOR THE VICTORY!!!

Gina Romano: HERE IS YOUR WINNER….HAALLSEEYYY NEEEELLLL!!!!
Deadprez: Halsey picks up the win tonight in her Showdown debut in impressive fashion against a very game Lucas Johnson. A well earned victory and we all look forward to seeing what’s next in store for her this season.
(The final shot is of Halsey celebrating her win on the top rope as Lucas looks disappointed with how this one ended sitting against the barricade at ringside. The lights start to flicker, catching Halsey’s attention. She looks around but then the lights come back on. Halsey shrugs it off and continues up the rampway victorious as it cuts to an ad for the World Tour in Season 17.)
(As it returns from the ad, ‘Amerika’ by Rammstein hits, and the crowd jumps to their feet.)
Deadprez: We know who this is!
Gavin Kirkland: Ms. Cash in the Vault baby!!!
(As the music plays, Sheridan Muller steps out through the curtain, proudly holding the Cash in the Vault briefcase in her hand. She lifts it high in the air, which gets another huge reaction from the crowd, before she then starts the walk down to the ring.)
Eve: Sheridan is someone who managed to put behind her the disappointments of the season and win Cash in the Vault. Many people had her pegged as a potential victor and she made good on their predictions!
Deadprez: Sheridan has always been capable of things we don’t often see, but at Pain for Pride she certainly seemed to take it another notch further. And that is why she carries that briefcase with her.
Gavin Kirkland: Pain for Pride certainly brought the best out of her that’s for sure.
(Sheridan reaches the steps and makes her way up then, pausing for a moment on the apron before stepping into the ring. She stands in the middle of the ring proudly, placing the briefcase at her feet. She then pulls out a microphone, and as the music fades, she starts to speak.)
Sheridan Muller: I think I’m going to like it here.
(The crowd pops, Sheridan looking down at the briefcase.)
Sheridan Muller: I know that to some, that briefcase at my feet is a symbol of a successful time thus far in EAW, and you know what, there have been successes along my journey that’s for certain. But anyone who believes that it has been an easy ride, well they are wrong, because for every success has come failure. As part of The Prescription, that won tag team Gold, that was ultimately a success, even if it didn’t end in the way either Bethany or I wanted it to. But failing to capture the Universal Women’s Championship on several occasions, that has to be a failure. And you’re going to learn something very quickly about me… I don’t like to fail.
Gavin Kirkland: Does anyone?
Eve: I think she is saying she doesn’t like it more than most
Gavin Kirkland: Bit presumptuous.
Sheridan Muller: Every time I have been defeated; it has been like a dagger to my heart. Every time I have felt loss, I have gone over and over how it could have possibly happened and done everything I could to rectify my errors. Grand Rampage was probably the lowest point not just of the season, but of my career. It was the end of the line, and the point where I knew something had to change for the sake of my sanity. I knew I was starting to get my ‘doubters’, I knew that there were those that thought I would never make good on my promises. So, when I got into the Cash in the Vault, I didn’t miss the irony in it being a chance to finally climb that ladder. I knew winning Cash in the Vault; would give me the best chance I could ever get to become a World Champion.
(She paces whilst looking at the floor and the briefcase itself, picking it up and holding it to her chest.)
Sheridan Muller: This briefcase, it gives me a guaranteed shot at the World title, anywhere, anytime and anyhow. We all saw how that benefitted Jake Smith last year, but that is not the way German Efficiency works. It doesn’t matter who the champion is, whether it be Kassidy or someone else. It wouldn’t have mattered if it were Bethany… because let’s face it, that would have been my preferred choice. German efficiency means that I DON’T CARE who it is, or what they have done, I WILL take the title, and become a World Champion again.
Deadprez: I’m not going to argue with her that’s for sure! She has options.
Eve: Sheridan has all the tools to make it happen. Could be another who needed the draft and a brand move to fly.
Sheridan Muller: I know I was chosen as the top pick for Showdown, and I don’t take that honor lightly. Rest assured…
Deadprez: NO!!! SCOTT DIAMOND OUT OF NOWHERE!!!
(Scott decimates Sheridan with a Spear that takes her off her feet and to the mat. Before she can recover, Scott mounts her, and starts pummeling her with a flurry of right hands, many of them finding their mark.)
Eve: OH COME ON! THIS IS UNCALLED FOR!
Gavin Kirkland: Sheridan isn’t the only one looking to make a mark on Showdown, Eve! Everyone is at it tonight apparently as this new roster takes shape! NO ONE WANTS TO BE IN THE BOTTOM OF THE PILE!
(Scott gets to his feet and begs Sheridan to get to hers. As she slowly does, he picks her up and then drops her with a devastating F5.)
Deadprez: HE CALLS THAT THE VORTEX AND JUST DESTROYED SHERIDAN!!!
(Finally, to a chorus of boos, Scott gets to his feet having done the damage. He picks up the briefcase and looks at it laughing, before then dropping it on Sheridan with pure disdain. With a final look out over the crowd, and still laughing, ‘In the air tonight’ starts to play. He poses over the fallen Sheridan, before he then takes his leave, backing up the ramp still chuckling to himself.)
Deadprez: Sheridan cut short by Scott Diamond who sent a message of his own to the Showdown brand. Another former World Champion looking to make his mark!
Eve: Well, he certainly left his mark on Sheridan that’s for sure and when she comes to, she’s not going to be happy!
(The camera pans back to Scott, who stands at the top of the ramp with his arms aloft, and then cuts to Sheridan, who is just starting to recover, enough to sit up and look directly at Scott.)
Deadprez: One thing for certain, this isn’t over. In fact, I’d say the problems between these two have only just begun!
(Camera focuses on the hurt and unconscious Sheridan, the scene then starts fading.)
(The camera opens backstage to see Kyra Phillips with a microphone smiling.)
Kyra Phillips: Ladies and gentlemen please welcome my guests at this time, the newest members of Saturday Night Showdown, they are The Off-Brand Amphetamines!
(Solomon and Kirk receive a positive reaction as they nod at Kyra while walking into the frame.)
Kyra Phillips: First off guys, welcome to the blue brand, what are your thoughts on being drafted here?
Solomon Stane: Happy to be here on the premiere brand and be a part of the vision that general manager Kennedy Street has for this season. We see a lot of opportunity here and the most important being to show that we’re the best tag team alive today.
Kirk Redwood: Exactly what he said, it’s a fresh start and that’s all we can really say and honestly I think it’s what we needed. Ever since losing the tag team championships last year, it’s just been a never ending battle of getting over that hump again. We always said we were going to get our hands on those tag team championships again one way or another…and it quite hasn’t worked out in our favor. We have faced some adversity but it’s not anything that’s new to us. When we first started teaming up, nobody in the world gave us a sliver of a chance to succeed much less going into our title match where we were able to take down the Haircare Kings who are two of the biggest stars in this company today. After we won the titles people said it wouldn’t last and yet we went on to defend against one of the greatest tag teams of all time in MarrKade and even successfully defended it on the Grandest stage of them all at Pain for Pride against a team like The Ice Aces. Ever since losing the titles, it had felt like we have been lost in the shuffle despite showing how much potential we had only in our early stages of teaming and that’s exactly why we’re excited to be here on Showdown, for that fresh start and to show we’re still one of the best tag teams today.
Solomon Stane: Speaking of Pain for Pride, that’s another one of the reasons that we’re here on the blue brand to prove a point because we walked in fully expecting to win back our tag team gold only for it to be ripped away from us in the end as the Queen Bees were the one who ended up taking the pinfall.
Kyra Phillips: Yeah speaking of that, how has the result of what happened at Pain for Pride affected any of your goals this season?
Solomon Stane: It hasn’t decreased our morale or anything like that, more like boosted our drive even more. The big man above us is always looking out and always has a plan much like we do that we’re not giving up on in the slightest. Did it piss us off? Oh you can say that for certainty in the short term, but we’re not going to let it phase us in our long term goals in showcasing us as one of the greatest tag teams of all time. We said that the result only made us want to become two time tag team champions even more than we did going into Pain for Pride or any of our other chances over the course of last season and we’re even more hungrier now because of how Pain for Pride ended and how we seen to be a castaway in the tag team division despite the success we have achieved that some well established teams have never done before.
Kirk Redwood: And believe us when we tell you that we know how much harder it’s going to be because of our track record of coming short in title matches over the past year and also the many teams that are likely going to form and want to stake their claim of what we have already, but that’s not going to happen on our watch as we will not stop until we have those tag titles back in our hands and we are standing atop of the tag team mountain in EAW once again.
Kyra Phillips: So what’s next for the Off-Brand Amphetamines here on Showdown?
Kirk Redwood: People need to get it through their head that we’re not satisfied of being the champions once and it comes off as some sort of lucky run and using it to build on our singles careers. Things happen for a reason and we got paired together because we were bound to be the best tag team in the world. We’re not satisfied with shocking the world once,we want people to EXPECT us to win in those type of matches because we are just that good and our chemistry can’t be topped. What’s next is simple Kyra, we are putting the target on POTARA’s back and we won’t rest until we take those tag team titles away from them and Off-Brand Amphetamines are on top of the tag team division once again.
Solomon Stane: Every word he said, we’re not a fluke nor as we a tag team you can just forget about or lose in the shuffle, we’re the real damn deal and we’re about to show you here on the blue brand and we hope POTARA tales the time to keep a close eye on us because if they don’t, their entire reign will be over within a blink of an eye. We are here to stake our claim that we are targeting those tag titles and staked our claim that this is a new beginning for us here on Showdown and if anybody wants to take a crack at POTARA’s tag titles, they are going to have to go through us first as that is our one and only goal which we will stop at nothing to accomplish. We recognize our failures since losing the titles and we are carrying it with us on our road to reclaiming what is ours. All our failures are in the past and now it’s time to start the next chapter of this story, and the chapter is Off-Brand Amphetamines showing that nobody in the tag team division is on our level and if you don’t believe it now, you sure will soon enough.
(Solomon and Kirk both walk off the set and out of the picture as the camera focuses back on Kyra lowering her interview microphone before switching elsewhere.)
(The camera pans to ringside for the next match with Gina Romano ready to make the introductions.)
Gina Romano: THE FOLLOWING CONTEST IS SCHEDULED FOR ONE FALL!

Gina Romano: INTRODUCING FIRST, FROM ESSEX, ENGLAND! WEIGHING IN AT 130 POUNDS…. “THE FINAL BOSS” DELILAH ROSE!!!!!!!!!!!
(“What The Dead Men Say” by Trivium starts to play as the crowd boos intensely at the dangerous Delilah Rose who slowly makes her way toward the ring. She gets to the ropes, steps through and climbs the second turnbuckle to pose.)
Eve: Delilah Rose is a future champion and a very dangerous woman, she was a steal for Showdown and will surprise a lot of people here.
Gavin Kirkland: She is definitely ALL woman and I feel sorry for ARIA tonight.
Deadprez: Delilah needs to be careful, her opponent has speed, but this woman is powerful and she is brutal. Delilah is going to open a lot of eyes tonight.
(As she continues to pose, her theme dies down and it is replaced by “Destiny” by Saori Yoshida.as lights start to shine throughout the front of the stage. ARIA comes running out in her trench coat and glasses to a huge ovation from the fans.)
Gina Romano: AND HER OPPONENT! SHE HAILS FROM CHANDLER, ARIZONA! WEIGHING IN AT 110 POUNDS…. “THE SACRED DETECTIVE” ARIA!!!!!!
(ARIA hears the roar of the crowd and runs down to the ring sliding in and posing in the middle of the ring. She turns to Delilah, taking off her entrance gear as the referee checks both competitors and calls for the start of the match.)
(DING! DING! DING!)
Eve: And this match is now underway! Two of Showdown’s new acquisitions are going at it here tonight, as ARIA and Delilah Rose begin to pace around the ring, keeping their eyes locked on each other. These two women had a heated verbal battle throughout this week, and it is going to come to ahead in this match here tonight, and they are going at each other!
Gavin Kirkland: And they lock up in the center of the ring! It is clear that Delilah Rose is going to have the strength advantage based on her size, and that is on display here as she’s able to pull ARIA out of the collar and elbow tie up, before forcing her over into a side headlock, holding it in tight, and it looks like ARIA has nowhere to go.
Deadprez: ARIA is able to maneuver herself out of the side headlock, trying to go around Delilah and possibly cut her down to size, but that isn’t going to work out as Delilah grabs ARIA by the head, and throws her into the corner! ARIA goes hard as her spine makes impact with the middle turnbuckle, and Delilah rushes right in and she catches her with a massive corner clothesline!
Eve: ARIA is hurting early on here as Delilah grabs her by the hair, pulling her out of the corner… AND DELILAH JUST TOSSED ARIA ACROSS THE RING!! ARIA GETS SENT FLYING, AND I CAN’T BELIEVE IT! ARIA SLIDES INTO THE CORNER, AND SHE IS HURT RIGHT NOW! DELILAH MAY HAVE THIS MATCH WON RIGHT AWAY, AS SHE STALKS ARIA DOWN AND EXPLODES RIGHT AT HER WITH A CLEAR TARGET!!!
Gavin Kirkland: AND SHE GOES FOR A HUGE BIG BOOT INTO THE CORNER! BUT ARIA MOVES OUT OF THE WAY AND DELILAH MISSES THE TARGET! You can tell that ARIA is still shocked from the early onslaught by Delilah as she scrambles back to her feet, as she grabs a hold of Delilah, and a kick right to Delilah’s knee! ARIA is trying to cut the bigger woman down now!
Deadprez: ARIA is trying to take advantage of the mishap from Delilah Rose here, as she shoots another kick right to the knee, but Delilah is eating those shoot kicks and she throws ARIA off of her! But ARIA rolls right through it and pushes herself back to her feet, before rebounding off of the ropes, as Delilah stumbles to the center of the ring and ARIA explodes at her!
Eve: ARIA drops Delilah with a low dropkick right to that targeted knee! Delilah falls down to her knees because of this, and it might look like ARIA has gotten her under the control, as she takes in the reaction, looking down at Delilah who is vulnerable at this moment, and it looks like she is going to take another run off of the ropes behind Delilah! Looking to possibly end it here with that ‘Justice For All’ knee strike!
Gavin Kirkland: DELILAH ROSE GETS RIGHT BACK UP TO HER FEET AND SHE DAMN NEAR TAKES ARIA’S HEAD OFF WITH A MASSIVE CLOTHESLINE!! ARIA DROPS TO THE MAT LIKE A TON OF BRICKS, AND DELILAH QUICKLY GOES FOR A COVER! She is looking to end this match right here early!

Deadprez: ARIA manages to get the shoulder off the mat!
Eve: ARIA is a former Specialist Championship and has beaten some of the very best that EAW has to offer, it is going to have to take a whole more than just that to be able to keep her down, and I think Delilah Rose realizes that as she pushes herself back up to her feet, and it looks like she is going to continue the vicious onslaught in hopes to be able to keep her down for the win.
Gavin Kirkland: But ARIA is hurting right now, but she is able to break out of Delilah’s grasp and she goes for the knee once again with yet another shoot kick! That one catches Delilah off guard, as ARIA pushes herself away from Delilah, before jumping up into the air, AND SHE FLOATS HER OVER WITH A HURRICANRANA! DELILAH GOES DOWN AS ARIA SCRAMBLES RIGHT BACK UP TO HER FEET!
Deadprez: You can tell that ARIA is trying to quicken the pacing in this match to be able to make the most out of what is given to her, as Delilah slides back to her knees near the ropes, but ARIA rushes in, and she catches Delilah with a dropkick right to the side of the head, and Delilah falls through the bottom rope and crashes down to the floor!
Eve: Delilah Rose stumbles back up to her feet on the outside, trying to gain her composure from ARIA’s storm, but ARIA isn’t going to have any of it, as she quickly shoots herself off of the ropes, AND SHE DIVES THROUGH THE MIDDLE ROPE, CATCHING DELILAH WITH A MASSIVE SUICIDE DIVE AS DELILAH GOES SPINE FIRST INTO THE BARRICADE, AND ARIA IS GETTING HERSELF BACK INTO THIS MATCH EFFECTIVELY!
Gavin Kirkland: It looks like ARIA is forcing this match into her favor as she grabs Delilah by the hair, pulling her back to the ring and throwing her in, as she crawls back to the apron, and Delilah starts to get back to her feet… BUT ARIA SPRINGBOARDS ONTO THE ROPES AND INTO THE RING, CATCHING DELILAH ROSE WITH A HUGE SPRINGBOARD CLOTHESLINE TO TAKE ‘THE FINAL BOSS’ DOWN!
Deadprez: DELILAH CATCHES ARIA IN MIDAIR!! ARIA FALLS TO HER FEET ON THE MAT IN DELILAH’S GRASP, AS DELILAH HOLDS HER TIGHT, AND SHE THROWS HER OVER WITH A HUGE EXPLODER SUPLEX… WAIT NO! ARIA SOMEHOW MANAGES TO FLIP OUT OF THE EXPLODER SUPLEX AND SHE LANDS ON HER FEET! ARIA lands onto her feet, rushing herself towards the ropes and she springboards onto them, as Delilah Rose turns around…
Eve: AND ARIA CATCHES DELILAH WITH A MASSIVE SPRINGBOARD ROUNDHOUSE KICK!!! DELILAH CRUMBLES TO THE MAT FROM A DISASTROUS ROUNDHOUSE KICK, AND ARIA TAKES DELILAH DOWN! We all know the resilience of the former Specialist Champion, but we should also be looking at the resilience of some of the newest Elitists in this company, and Delilah Rose is putting that on perfect display tonight in this match.
Eve: And I think that ARIA understands that Prez, as she gets back to her feet, and it looks like she is going to continue with the storm, as she mounts back on top of Delilah; and starts throwing those lefts and rights, damaging Delilah as she tries to get her guard up, and ARIA may have Delilah under control right here, as the fans continue to cheer her on!
Gavin Kirkland: But Delilah Rose is able to forcefully pull ARIA right off of her and throws her over to the side! ARIA gets sent flying, as she quickly gets herself back to her feet, but Delilah is getting up as well, AND ARIA RUSHES IN AT DELILAH… ONLY FOR DELILAH TO CATCH HER! Eve: Delilah gets back up to her feet as she picks ARIA up as well, and she catches her with a huge forearm smash! ARIA is dazed right now, as Delilah irish whips ARIA off and into the ropes, and ARIA rebounds off of them, ONLY TO BE MET WITH A MASSIVE SNAP SCOOP POWERSLAM BY DELILAH ROSE, AND NOW-

Delilah has been trying to use her power game to her advantage, but ARIA has been using her own size in attempts to count them, as she rushes in at Delilah, LOOKING FOR A SHOTGUN DROPKICK! Deadprez: This match has been insane from the opening bell! Neither women are looking to give up, and it has made for an absolutely intense match to start their season seventeen on Showdown right, but only one will be able to get away with the victory in the end, and I think that ARIA may have it in the bag.
Eve: But you can’t count out Delilah in this match, she has been putting on a great display of power and strength, nd that might get her the win if she is able to play her cards right, but it doesn’t look like ARIA is going to allow for it to happen, as she backs into the corner, and she might be looking to put an end to this once and for all! Delilah starts to get to her feet… ARIA RUNS IN FOR ‘J4A!!!!!’

Gavin Kirkland: Delilah Rose is not happy whatsoever! She thought she had this match won, she thought she had gotten the biggest win of her career thus far here in EAW, but ARIA stays alive, and this match continues onward, and Delilah is absolutely pissed off! She gets back to her feet, and one has to wonder what more she has to do to be able to even get the victory over the woman who calls herself The Sacred Detective!
Deadprez: Delilah quickly mounts on top of ARIA, AND NOW SHE IS BATTERING HER WITH THOSE LEFTS AND RIGHTS!! ARIA can’t protect herself at this point, and Delilah continues to beat her down with these closed fist shots! The referee has no other choice but to pull her off of ARIA, as Delilah backs away, and ARIA looks to be really hurt. I don’t know if there is much more that ARIA can even take until this match is over.
Eve: ARIA is slowly making it back up to her feet… Delilah Rose rushes back in! AND SHE TAKES ARIA RIGHT BACK DOWN WITH THAT VICIOUS KNEE STRIKE!! (The crowd roars as ARIA slowly gets back to her feet as Delilah crawls to the corner. The referee raises her hand in victory as she soaks in her first win back on Showdown before rolling out of the ring. She smiles with a grimace on her face before heading to the back.)
Deadprez: BIG Win by ARIA over a woman that is going to be a future champion here and has a huge future on Showdown! But ARIA starts Season 17 with a huge win tonight!
Eve: The Women’s Division is so deep and that is was an incredible match, Delilah has shown that while she came up short tonight, she is one to keep an eye on!
Gavin Kirkland: The women here are above all else! And this is just the beginning!
(ARIA continues to head toward the back as Delilah looks on, very disappointed when seconds later the scene at ringside fades to black.)
(Seconds later it reopens and nothing but gray smoke can be seen. Ever so slowly, the smoke clears and the current landscape looks to be some dark wooded area. A fire is crackling, which is likely the source of the smoke, but a figure cloaked in dark clothing is seen sitting on a log. A flash of blonde hair can be seen as the figure stands. The small stature of this person leads the viewers to believe this is a woman and when their head is lifted, the face of this woman is very familiar. Kohl-rimmed eyes are narrowed in the direction of the camera and she steps away from the fire and towards the camera.)
(The former New Breed Champion, Caroline, does not look happy. Her black lipsticked lips are twisted into a frown, and if there was ever a question about how she’s feeling coming out of Pain for Pride, the sour expression she wears should put those questions to bed. The camera zooms out as Caroline walks closer. The fire in the background continues to burn and once Caroline finally comes to a stop, she tilts her head to the side almost like a broken doll.)
Caroline: New season. New me.
(A bitter laugh escapes from her throat because clearly nothing has changed about the broody, moody ‘Queen of Shadows’. She gestures towards the fire.)
Caroline: Hans Grayson and the New Breed Championship can burn for all I care, but if I’ve seen it once, I have seen it a thousand times. A hyped newcomer makes a splash and then is gone… all within a six month span. Time will tell if Grayson is above all that. To say I’ve been irritated since Pain for Pride would be an understatement. Grayson was never supposed to walk out of Nashville with a championship in his hands and the fact he did means I failed. I failed to deliver when it mattered the most and that is something I will have to live with as we move forward into Season 17. Grayson gets to tote around his shiny new prize, while I’m forced back into the shadows to sit and wait…
(Caroline pauses, but just for a moment.)
Caroline: And plot my next move.
(She turns back towards the camera, taking a deep breath.)
Caroline: This season, I’ve been given a new playground; the land known as Showdown. I see a roster that is starved for attention and filled with star power, and I wonder what I could possibly add to this brand. I will not go as far as to say this is a welcome change, because I don’t care for change. Diving headfirst into the unknown has never served me well. In fact, it always seems to come back to haunt me, so what do I do? How do I approach a lockerroom full of new faces?
(Caroline sinks down on her haunches and appears to contemplate that. As always, her expression is hard to read. The dark cloud that surrounds her mindset and often plagues her thought process leaves very little for other people to go off of because Caroline lacks emotion. She often keeps the same tone of voice. In other words, the former champion is rather dead inside.)
Caroline: I suppose that’s something I will need to figure out on my own time, but for now, I will not be approaching anyone any differently than I have been. Whatever’s meant to be, will be, and there’s nothing any of us can do to stop our destiny. Did I ever picture myself to be a shell of a person who’s been put through the ringer? Of course not. Did I ever picture experiencing Hell on Earth while still alive? I think you all know the answer to that.
(At that, a heavy sigh escapes from Caroline’s lips. She will never be able to unsee what she saw that day, and as a result, she’s been changed forever.)
Caroline: Regardless, I’ve had to search for a way to move forward and residing here amongst the shadows has become my saving grace. While others yearn for the spotlight, I seek shelter from it because I do not care about such trivial things. Championship gold will always be something I strive for, but right now? At this moment? There is only one thing I am searching for. I’m searching for a feeling. I seek the satisfaction that came to me when I stripped the New Breed Championship from Ruler’s hands. I want to see other people crumble right before my eyes, and I want to bring them to their knees. I don’t think I’ve ever truly hurt another person and I want to experience that. Perhaps it can bring me a euphoric sense of self-worth that I haven’t experienced in quite some time. Or maybe I will still continue to feel empty inside. Either way, why not push myself out of my comfort zone and find out?
(Caroline rises back to her feet and places her hands behind her back. She looks calm, and a bit eerie. The pupil of her left eye is now black. Perhaps that was done with the intent to match the color of her soul.)
Caroline: As an Elitist, I don’t think I have scratched the surface of my potential. Will Showdown provide me with the opportunity to test myself? Time will tell, but here is something the EAW Universe can sit on. I will not sit around and wait for things to happen. Patience is no longer a virtue that exists in my life. When the time comes for me to make a move, I will do so and take pleasure in it. My purpose this season is to leave my mark on Showdown for better or worse. I will make sure that things like what happened at Pain for Pride do not happen again. The Caroline of old never truly learned from her mistakes. She was a repeat offender, living in fantasy land, and ultimately her naivety cost her. I am not that girl of old. I learn from the past and blaze a new trail towards my future. I have no doubt that there will be people looking to stop me, but I have zero qualms about leaving broken bodies behind me. While some will take that literally, there is a deeper meaning to what I’m saying.
(Caroline’s eyes narrow and she licks her lips, showing a bit of disgust.)
Caroline: It means that no matter the caliber of the opponent, or how far up they are in the pecking order, I will make my mark. I will get everything I want out of Season 17, and I will not be letting anyone or anything stop me. I expect setbacks. I’m well aware that nothing ever goes perfectly to plan. But be that as it may, I won’t be deterred from doing exactly what I want to do. Pain for Pride is behind me and once this fire burns itself out, I’ll step through the ashes and look ahead. Midsummer Massacre is on the horizon and I plan to compete there. My adversaries going into that event are not yet known, and who’s to even say it will be multiple people? I’m willing to face anyone, and I’m not going to be too selective in the process. Yours truly plans to put everyone on notice one way or another, and when the time is right, each person will find themselves targeted for a specific reason.
(Caroline turns her back to the camera and looks towards the fire. She squares her slender shoulders and starts to walk back towards the flames. Once she’s half-way there, she looks over her shoulder and there’s a slight smile on her face.)
Caroline: The Queen of Shadows is coming, Showdown. Beware.
(With that being said, Caroline walks off and the scene fades to black into a commercial break.)
(When the commercial break ends, ‘Rhapsody in Pink’ by Stela Cole starts to play as the crowd stands to their feet to see the incredibly gorgeous and talented, Candice Blair slowly walk out, another new draftee to the Showdown brand. She recently had the break-up of her Disney Besties so no one knows the mood she is in, and with Sierra Everett winning the Bestie Battle, it is Candice that gets a fresh start on the Blue Brand.)
Deadprez: Here is the gorgeous Candice Blair, an Ava but an exceptionally talented woman that is ready to raise her game to the next level. Maybe the Disney Besties last season and their eventual split was good for her. I am sure she has a lot to say. The Besties were all separated, Showdown got two of them, we saw Halsey Neel score the victory over Lucas Johnson earlier. Ronan Malosi is on Dynasty and Sierra Everett stays on Voltage.
Eve: The Draft saw a lot of groups split up, The Besties, the Queen Bees, now these Elitists get a fresh start, new beginning and we are about to see how Candice handles it.
Gavin Kirkland: So many beautiful women on Showdown, I love our General Manager!
(Candice steps into the ring with a mic in hand, there are a lot of whistles and while she gets a mixed reaction, Candice does look in good spirits. The music fades.)
Candice Blair: It’s been a wild ride the last few months in the life of Candice Blair. The Disney Besties was the greatest collection of wrestlers and friends in the Magical World of the EAW. Disney brought us all together and though we are no longer a unit and instead had an implosion thanks in part to Eden Sinclair and Ronan Malosi, I still believe in Disney, and I know. This is coming from an Ava, which I know what happened between the General Manager, Kennedy Street and Ms. Extreme who hates Disney, but that is not me. I’m not going to follow in anyone’s path but my own…. Sooooo….. DISNEY IS STILL ALIVE ON SHOWDOWN AND I AM ABOUT TO MAKE IT THE HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH!
(The crowd boos, some do cheer as she poses and winks.)
Candice Blair: With that said…. What is next for me? For Candice Blair? Simple, I will continue my success from Voltage but this time I will elevate it to the very top and finally get me some gold. As everything ….
(Before she can finish her sentence, “Dance The Night” by Dua Lipa plays throughout the arena. Ashlynn Quinn walks out but this time by herself, she is not accompanied or accompanying Veena Adams. Candice looks a bit confused by the interruption.)
Deadprez: And I guess Ashlynn didn’t say enough to open Showdown, she has some more to talk about.
Eve: Ashlynn Quinn is an overly ambitious woman; she is also very protective of Veena Adams as well. We know the history between Candice and Veena, that it actually became a very memorable match at Pain For Pride.
Gavin Kirkland: Bring out as many women out here as possible, I am loving this!
(Ashlynn walks with purpose and gets in the ring, she has a mic in hand as the music dies down.)
Ashlynn Quinn: Okay….. so like, sorry for the interruption but I need to talk about what happened earlier and at Pain For Pride. I am sure the break-up of the Disney Besties was important on Voltage and stuff, but not really here, the most important person on Showdown is mother, you two know each other well.
Candice Blair: Right…. And then you rudely interrupt me when I am talking about being drafted to Showdown and how loyal I am to Disney, yet you had time earlier on the show and you think that you can just come out here now and take away from MY debut to talk about of all people, Veena? Look, I get it, she is pretty, she is amazing…. I can’t believe I just said that but so AM I. Matter of fact, I am one of the most talented women in this company and when I look at you, yes, I feel like you are just a sycophant of Veena but also have a bright future, if you just pledge your loyalties to Disney and the brand.
(Ashlynn has a little chuckle.)
Ashlynn Quinn: Yeah…. Okay. Anyway, you can take your leave now because I need to address The Devolution. A bunch of Uggo’s that stole mother’s National Elite Championship which we didn’t get to do earlier thanks in part to that hack, Madison Kaline. Now….
(Candice wasn’t having any of it, stepping right up to Ashlynn’s face.)
Candice Blair: I see what we are doing here, using my precious time to do her bidding. Well I’m going to ask you one time hottie to hottie, get out of my ring.
Ashlynn Quinn: OMG…. Rude. Listen here….
(Suddenly the lights got out and the crowd roars. The sounds of their new theme, “Devolution” by Starset start to play. One spotlight shines on Pandora Paisley, then another on Amir Yusuf and finally on Jon Kelton with Londyn, they stand in a circle, when the guitar rift and chorus of the song plays, fireworks go off. Pandora screams and sticks out her tongue, Amir raises his arms up and starts to laugh, Jon Kelton arches an eyebrow and poses with Londyn as Pandora leads the way down first, followed by Amir and then Jon Kelton with Londyn.)

Eve: Pandora leading the way and look at the expression on her face, if looks could kill! Amir Yusuf right behind her and he is soaking this all up and finally we have none other than Jon Kelton and Londyn! Candice and Ashlynn have stopped arguing with each other!
Gavin Kirkland: I am about to self-combust. MY HELLCAT IS BACK ON SHOWDOWN!!!!!!
(The members of Devolution make it to the ring, Pandora slides right in, she stands in front of Candice, Amir and Jon then step in, Jon is handed a mic by Londyn as the music dies down.)
Jon Kelton: First of all, Providence, I know you are the smallest state, which gives you all a complex and are very insignificant in the grand scheme of things. I am the National Elite Champion for a reason, I outsmarted Jack Ripley and Veena Adams. I hold the gold now and there is nothing that you, Ashlynn can say about it. I’m not ducking anyone, I’m just tired of having to justify myself to a bunch of blonde little Barbies.
Candice Blair: Hey… hold on…..
(Pandora steps right up to her.)
Pandora Paisley: Do you have something to say, love? I think we both know that I have a history with your family, I have no problems picking up where I left off.
Candice Blair: Oh, you mean that scar on those washboard abs of yours.
(Pandora smirks then is about to do something when Amir holds her back.)
Amir Yusuf: The “great” Candice Blair, we get it, you are a little traumatized that Devolution was the only group that was drafted together and your little implosion with the Besties took its toll. Look at you now, broken, not knowing where to go, So sad.
Candice Blair: At least I am worth more than a turkey sandwich.
(Amir actually finds that amusing.)
Amir Yusuf: And look at me now. I have already won two singles championships, how many have you won?
(Pandora makes the sign for zero.)
Ashlynn Quinn: YOU ROBBED MOTHER! She should be the National Elite Champion and here you come out here and try to bully us and justify what you did!? You are such an uggo and your little girlfriend tried to get in my way and well, I knocked her on her ass! We both know that you robbed Veena, and she deserves a rematch! So give it to her!
(There is a pause.)
Jon Kelton: No.
(Ashlynn’s eyes quickly widen as the two women are now surrounded by Devolution.)
???: Hold on….. hold on….. hold on……
(Heidi Huxley, the Disney representative walks out.)
Candice Blair: OMG! Heidi!
Heidi Huxley: Hi, Candice. I’m sure we will talk later. I came out here because as we all know, Kennedy loves to give the fans what they want and so she has made a match for next week. It will be any two members of Devolution taking on the team of Candice Blair and Ashlynn Quinn!
(The crowd cheers, Pandora, Amir and Jon all smile while Candice and Ashlynn are not too thrilled with the idea of teaming up.)
Heidi Huxley: Thank you.
(Heidi turns to leave, Devolution slowly starts to get out of the ring leaving Candice and Ashlynn arguing amongst each other.)
Deadprez: Kennedy wasted no time in making a match and forcing Candice and Ashlynn to team with each other against two members of Devolution!
Eve: She really didn’t, and the question is, which two of Devolution will they face and can these two get along?

(The scene fades into a commercial with Devolution looking from the outside all smiles while Ashlynn and Candice continue to argue as it fades into an ad for Midsummer Massacre.)
(The camera returns to the ring where Gina Romano is standing with a microphone in hand, ready to start the introductions for the next contest.)
Gina Romano: This next contest has a TWENTY MINUTE TIME LIMIT and it is scheduled for ONE FALL!

(‘A Cruel Angel’s Thesis’ by Yoko Takahashi starts playing as Usagi Senshi enters the arena to loud cheers from the crowd. Usagi has a smile on her face as she heads to the ring.)

Deadprez: Here comes one of our new members of the Showdown roster. Usagi Senshi is here for singles action. She is looking to make a big name for herself here on Showdown.
Eve: She was on Voltage as part of the Ice Aces tag team. Unfortunately, the team went their separate ways thanks to the EAW Draft. It might be a bittersweet feeling being on your own, but this is a good opportunity
Gavin Kirkland: This is a golden chance to show exactly what she can do and how good she is as a singles star.
(Usagi enters the ring and takes a corner as her entrance music fades off. Seconds later, “Brooklyn The Hole” by Miku Sakai starts to play as she enters the arena to loud boos from the crowd. She pays them no mind as she heads to the ring. )
Gina Romano: Introducing her opponent! From Fukui, Japan! Weighing in at 110 pounds! Here is MIKU SAKAI!
Gavin Kirkland: Here comes Miku Sakai who put on a hell of a performance at Pain for Pride in the Cash in the Vault ladder match.
Eve: Now she finds Showdown home and is looking to cause the same trouble here as she did when she returned last season.
Deadprez: Miku is a former Specialists Champion who can no doubt handle herself in the ring, but Usagi is no pushover herself. We’re about to find out
(Miku enters the ring and takes her corner as her entrance music fades off. The referee checks both competitors before calling for the bell)
(DING! DING! DING!)
Deadprez: Here we go! This match is underway and could go a long way in establishing some new contenders here on Showdown. Both ladies lock up in the center of the ring and try to establish the advantage over the other.
Eve: MIKU SAKAI WITH A CHEAP KICK TO THE GUT AND THAT DOUBLES USAGI OVER! Now Miku is just clobbering Usagi with forearms to her back and driving her down to her knees and overpowering Usagi for the time being.
Gavin Kirkland: Miku doesn’t let up as she pulls Usagi up by the hair AND SNAPMARES HER OVER USING HER HAIR FOR LEVERAGE. Usagi is sitting on the mat as Miku hits the ropes. When she returns, SHE GOES FOR A DROPKICK–
Deadprez: BUT USAGI SIMPLY FALLS BACK AND MIKU FINDS NOTHING BUT THE CANVAS! Usagi takes the opportunity and stacks Miku up and goes for a quick cover!

Gavin Kirkland: Miku with a quick kick out at one AND NOW USAGI IS JUST CLOBBERING USAGI TO KEEP HER DOWN! Usagi is making sure that she can keep control of this match for the time being as she brings Miku to her feet.
Eve: Usagi just winds back AND JUST CHOPS MIKU ACROSS THE CHEST! GOOD GRIEF! Usagi is playing for keeps right now as Miku staggers back AND USAGI CONTINUES WITH A CLOSED FIST PUNCH RIGHT TO THE JAW!
Gavin Kirkland: The referee admonishes Usagi about that closed fist, BUT THAT DOESN’T STOP HER FROM DOING ANOTHER ONE! The referee once again tells her to open up that fist.
Eve: Usagi finally obliges as she starts smashing her forearm in Miku’s face and that sends her back into the ropes. Usagi whips Miku back into the ropes. Miku comes back and grabs Miku AS SHE LOOKS FOR A BACKBREAKER–
Deadprez: BUT MIKU WRAPS HER LEGS AROUND USAGI’S HEAD AND COUNTERS WITH A HEADSCISSOR TAKEOVER AND USAGI SENT FOR THE RIDE AND SHE WAS SENT INTO THE ROPES!
Gavin Kirkland: Usagi tries to get back to her feet, BUT MIKU COMES BACK WITH ANOTHER DROPKICK AND USAGI GETS OUT OF THE WAY AT THE LAST SECOND! MIKU DROPKICKS HERSELF THROUGH THE ROPES!
Eve: But she manages to grab onto the ropes at the last second to keep herself on the apron and prevents herself from crashing onto the floor, BUT USAGI WAS READY AS SHE CATCHES MIKU IN THE HEAD WITH A ROUNDHOUSE KICK!
Gavin Kirkland: Miku manages to keep hold of the ropes so she is still standing on her feet, BUT USAGI CATCHES HER IN THE FACE WITH A RUNNING UPPERCUT AND THAT SENDS MIKU SAKAI TO THE FLOOR!
Deadprez: Miku manages to get back to her feet relatively quick as USAGI FLIES THROUGH THE ROPES AND TAKES MIKU DOWN WITH A SUICIDE DIVE! THIS TIME MIKU IS DOWN AND SHE STAYS DOWN FOR THE TIME BEING!
Gavin Kirkland: Usagi is feeling the energy right now as she has complete control of this match as she managed to kip up and get back to her feet and the crowd is showing their love for this competitor.
Eve: Usagi drags Miku back up to her feet and rolls her back in the ring and drags her to the corner as she climbs all the way to the top rope. Usagi finds her balance on the top rope AS SHE FLIES AND LOOKS FOR A FROG SPLASH EARLY–
Gavin Kirkland: SHE GOT IT AND GOT ALL OF IT! RIGHT ON MIKU’S RIBS AS SHE QUICKLY PULLS MIKU BACK IN AND HOOKS THE LEG FOR THE COVER!

Eve: MIKU KICKS OUT AT TWO! That was a beautiful frog splash from Usagi and as she— WOAH! DID YOU SEE THAT? SHE POUNDED HER FIST INTO THE MAT! She thought she could finish the match right there.
Deadprez: She certainly could have, but Miku Sakai has been through many matches like this and is battle hardened. It will take a little more than that to finish a former Specialist’s Champion. It’s a little too early in the match to assume that the match could be finished.
Gavin Kirkland: Usagi stays on her attack as she brings Miku back to her feet and locks her head to take her down for a suplex. Miku is up in the air–
Eve: BUT MIKU GETS A THUMB IN USAGI’S EYE! Miku changes momentum and swings herself down AND COUNTERS WITH A DDT OF HER OWN! USAGI SPIKED FACE FIRST INTO THE CANVAS!
Gavin Kirkland: Miku doesn’t go for classy or pretty, she goes for effective. Miku rolls Usagi over AND JUST STARTS POUNDING HER FACE WITH LEFTS AND RIGHTS! Closed fists against Usagi’s skull.
Deadprez: Now it’s Miku’s turn to get admonished by the referee to open the fists and she finally does at four and a half because she was risking disqualification. She might have stopped but she is glaring daggers at the referee for getting in her business.
Gavin Kirkland: I don’t blame her because these refs can be such nosey people sometimes. Miku gets up and pulls Usagi back up to her feet and once again she uses the hair as leverage. She drags Usagi over to the corner and has a double handful of hair now–
Eve: MIKU GETS SOME MOMENTUM GOING AND FLINGS USAGI BY THE HAIR HALFWAY ACROSS THE RING LIKE A FRISBEE! Usagi got some hang time before she crashed face first against the canvas.
Gavin Kirkland: Miku follows up AND HITS A RUNNING DROPKICK TO THE SIDE OF USAGI’S HEAD AND THAT SENDS HER BOUNCING INTO THE ROPES! Just as quickly as Usagi had control, she loses control just as quickly.
Eve: Miku once again has the hair and pulls her back to the middle of the ring. Miku hits the ropes as Usagi gets to her knees. Miku comes back–
Deadprez: AND USAGI SENSHI OUT OF NOWHERE GETS BACK TO HER FEET AND CLOBBERS MIKU RIGHT IN THE FACE WITH A SPINNING BACK ELBOW! MIKU RAN RIGHT FLUSH INTO IT!
Gavin Kirkland: Miku goes down and holds her nose in pain and that shot could have broken Miku’s nose right there. If Persephone was here, she would be begging and pleading for bloodshed.
Eve: Well she’s not here and there is no blood from that shot, but Usagi does not appreciate being bounced around the ring by her hair as Miku gets back to her feet AND USAGI TAKES HER DOWN WITH A LARIAT!
Gavin Kirkland: Miku goes down and Usagi decides that turnabout is fair play as she grabs Miku by the hair AND SMASHES HER FACE ON THE CANVAS! Usagi still has the hair as she picks up Miku AND USAGI NOW THROWS MIKU LIKE A FRISBEE ACROSS THE RING BY THE HAIR!
Deadprez: I think we just heard Usagi ask Miku how that feels. Miku knows how to press people’s buttons and now Usagi is fighting back. Miku is up on her feet but Usagi grabs her and lifts her up-
Gavin Kirkland: AND USAGI JUST PLANTS HER WITH A BELLY TO BELLY SUPLEX! Miku doesn’t know which way is up at the moment as Usagi goes for the cover!

Eve: MIKU MANAGES TO GET THE SHOULDER UP AT TWO! Usagi does not look pleased that Miku is still in this match, but you gotta admire the heart and determination that Usagi Senshi has in this match.
Gavin Kirkland: Usagi brings Miku back to her feet AND TRIES TO FIRE AN ELBOW STRIKE, BUT MIKU DUCKS IT AT THE LAST SECOND! Miku ends up behind Usagi AND SHE HITS A DROPKICK TO THE BACK OF USAGI’S KNEECAP!
Eve: That sends Usagi down to her knees as Miku hits the ropes once more AND CATCHES USAGI IN THE SIDE OF THE HEAD WITH A RUNNING KNEE STRIKE! THAT TAKES USAGI ALL THE WAY DOWN TO THE CANVAS!
Deadprez: Miku does not look pleased right now as she sticks a knee in the middle of Usagi’s back AND GRABS HANDFUL OF USAGI’S AND JUST PULLS HER UP AND BACK! USAGI’S CONTORTED ACROSS MIKU’S KNEE!
Gavin Kirkland: As damaging as this move is, it is an illegal move using the hair and the referee is once again admonishing Miku to let the hair go before starting another count. The referee reaches four again and Miku lets Usagi go and Usagi’s face bounces off the canvas.
Eve: Right now Miku is just having so much fun beating the crap out of Usagi at the moment as she brings Usagi back to her feet using the hair once again. Usagi is up and Miku whips her to the ropes.
Gavin Kirkland: Usagi crashes into the turnbuckles and Miku follows closely behind. Miku jumps up AND TAKES USAGI DOWN WITH A MONKEY FLIP–
Deadprez: USAGI MANAGES TO LAND ON HER FEET AS SHE TURNS AROUND, BUT MIKU JUMPS UP ONCE AGAIN AND GOES FOR THE MONKEY FLIP FOR THE SECOND TIME AND THIS TIME SHE GETS IT!
Gavin Kirkland: THE MONKEY FLIP SENDS USAGI FOR A RIDE AND SHE ENDED UP CRASHING INTO THE TURNBUCKLES! Miku is back up and pulls Usagi into a sitting position in the corner.
Eve: Miku got her set up and she backs up with an evil gleam in her eyes BEFORE SHE RUNS FULL SPEED BACK TO THE CORNER AND SHE HITS USAGI WITH A BRONCO BUSTER!
Gavin Kirkland: THAT’S THE MUSTACHE RIDE FROM MIKU SAKAI AND I WISH I WAS USAGI SENSHI RIGHT NOW! CAN WE MAKE THIS A TRIPLE THREAT MATCH?
Eve: You are absolutely disgusting, Gavin. But the Bronco Buster was an effective move, but the referee is counting Miku once again and Miku takes full advantage of the referee’s count before rolling backwards off Usagi and stopping the move.
Deadprez: Usagi looks like she is in La La Land at the moment as she doesn’t look like she is moving in the corner. Miku grabs Usagi by the ankle and pulls her to the center and hooks the leg for the cover!

Eve: This has been a great match between Usagi and Miku thus far in this match. Miku brings Usagi back to her feet and whips her to the ropes. Usagi comes back and Miku goes for a clothesline–
Gavin Kirkland: USAGI AVOIDS IT AND GOES BEHIND MIKU AND HOOKS MIKU UP FOR A TIGER SUPLEX! WAIT MIKU WRAPS HER LEGS AROUND USAGI’S WAIST AND GETS HER HAND FREE!

Gavin Kirkland: Miku Sakai is no doubt looking to finish this match once and for all. Miku is calling for Usagi to get back to her feet. She wants to finish this match with an exclamation point. Usagi is finally back to her feet–

(“Brooklyn The Hole” starts playing again as Miku lets Usagi go and quickly jumps back to her feet.)
Gina Romano: Here is your winner… MIKU SAKAI
Deadprez: What a match we just witnessed and unfortunately it didn’t exactly end the way we wanted it to.
Gavin Kirkland: Yeah, but chalk it up to the veteran instinct of Miku. She got away with a big one there and stole the match.
(The referee raises Miku’s arm in victory before snatching it away and laughing at Usagi, who is sitting up and stunned at what happened, before exiting the ring.)
Eve: It’s unfortunate what happened, but with Miku Sakai, it’s something to always be weary of. Either way, give Usagi a lot of credit here. She brought a fight to a former champion and always picked up the victory.
Deadprez: Unfortunately, it wasn’t meant to be as Miku is victorious in her first match of the season. Congratulations to Miku on the win.
(The camera cuts to Miku standing at the top of the entrance ramp still laughing at Usagi before cutting back to the ring where Usagi is back to her feet and is talking… borderline pleading… with the referee.)
Eve: This is an interesting development we have going on in the ring right now. Usagi is trying to explain her case to the referee and telling them that Miku took a shortcut.
Gavin Kirkland: But it is to no avail. Bad luck for Usagi Senshi, but the referee’s decision is FINAL! Miku Sakai wins this match.
(The referee carefully explains to Usagi that they didn’t see the dirty trick and they can’t change the ruling. With a solemn look on her face and still clearly frustrated, Usagi goes to walk away, but quickly turns around and CLOCKS THE REFEREE IN THE JAW!)
Eve: WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT? SHE JUST PUNCHED THE REFEREE IN THE JAW AND THEY GO DOWN! WHAT IS WITH USAGI?
Gavin Kirkland: We get she’s frustrated, but there is no need to punch officials. That might cost her some money! At least now she’s exiting the ring.
Deadprez: I mean I can understand the frustration of not being able to pick up the win on the first match of the season. This is so out of character for Usagi. Let’s hope that cooler heads prevail.
(The final shot shows a trainer checking on the referee before cutting to Usagi walking up the entrance ramp still looking frustrated as the camera cuts ro a commercial break.)
(After the break, “5 Milli” by Icewear Vezzo started playing on the speakers and as soon as they heard the song, the crowd broke out in a mixed reaction of cheers and boos, cheers to welcome him to Showdown and boos because most people didn’t forget his recent actions the past few months. Visual Prophet f.k.a THE Visual Prophet a.k.a Vizzy a.k.a currently Chef Viz came out alongside his trusty associate Dr. Angelo D’Angelo by his side and it was clear Viz did not look happy at all, it was one of those rare times he was seen completely serious heading into a show, he wasn’t in his usual chef get-up with him wearing street clothes but still holding in his hand his chef hat with pride.)
Gavin Kirkland: COOK CHEF VIZ, COOK! :blessed:
Deadprez: Seriously, please don’t tell me Garvin is going to start shouting loudly in my ear everytime this man comes out now…
Gavin Kirkland: You will see Deadprez, I am a very passionate man for cooking, I have always been! That is why I am very excited to have Chef Viz in our presence here on Showdown!
Deadprez: Oh yeah, what kind of recipes have you learned?
Gavin Kirkland: …I will have to rewatch the shows to remember them well! It is just that the woman making the recipes, let’s say they were 350 Fahrenheit in the oven, also known as ho-
Eve: Alright, no, we are not doing this in the first Showdown of the season. Anyway! As everyone can see right now, the Visual Prophet is making his entrance here in front of a packed crowd in the Amica Mutual Arena. Of course, as a former multiple World Champion and current Hall of Famer, it was a great acquisition to get him here on the blue brand and personally I am very excited to see what he has to say in his first appearance here, although most of the crowd doesn’t seem as thrilled.
Deadprez: Of course Eve, the Visual Prophet is a man notorious for his life choices and for his decisions he has taken here in EAW, but you can never deny he is incredibly dedicated. But as we all know, he is very much not happy after what happened at Pain for Pride when Cy Henderson ended up interfering in his match. You rarely see him this serious and it is clear by the look on his face that he is right now a man on a mission.
(Chef Viz and Dr. Angelo D’Angelo then walked down the ramp, keeping their distance away from the fans as Viz focused directly towards the ring without looking away. The two men walked up the steel stairs and entered simultaneously as Viz took center stage and looked down with his eyes closed as he seemingly took a moment to organize his thoughts. With his music dying down, he extended his arm to the side and Dr. Angelo D’Angelo gave him a microphone as Viz put the microphone up to his face and moved his head up, taking a deep breath and raising his voice.)
Visual Prophet: Tonight…is a new night. Tonight you will see a man reborn with a new purpose. Tonight you will see a man who will not hold back in calling out the injustice and disgusting actions of the wrongdoers. TONIGHT YOU WILL SEE…THE WIZARD, VIZZY HENDRIX, THE COOK OF COOKS, PRINCE VIZZY, and so and so forth I don’t have the time to say every nickname tonight, THAT WILL FINALLY TAKE HOLD OF HIS DESTINY ONCE AGAIN AS HE HAS ALWAYS DONE…AND PUT HIS NAME ON THE TOP OF THE MOUNTAIN, STARTING ON THIS NEW SEASON, ON THIS NIGHT, ON THIS BUILDING, ON THIS RING…IN DYNASTY-
(Wait what? Did he say Dynasty? The crowd immediately looked confused as Viz said the wrong brand he was currently on, and seemingly as he said this, Viz stopped for a moment and looked around confused as he realized too, he put his hand on his chin and looked over to Dr Angelo D’Angelo as they began talking to each other and the microphone that Viz had picked up their conversation.)
Visual Prophet: Angie?
Dr. Angelo D’Angelo: Yes Prophet?
Visual Prophet: Did we take the wrong flight or something? Why are we here? Isn’t it Friday, two days away from Soul Food Sunday?
Dr. Angelo D’Angelo: Uhhh, no, it is actually Saturday, one day away from Soul Food Sunday Viz, you got drafted to Showdown.
Visual Prophet: WHAT?! I was busy cooking a filet mignon with sweet potatoes chez le prophète and I didn’t see my pick, they always pick for me Dynasty and you are telling me they suddenly decided to change up on me this year like Jay Z cheating on Beyonce? Who cheats on goddamn Beyonce and Vizzy? Come on, Angie!
Dr. Angelo D’Angelo: I know, Viz, I know…
Visual Prophet: I was so convinced too because everybody in this crowd has almost the same idiotic face I see every Friday, there is even that same white dude with the green shirt in the front row here as well, how does he have that much money to spend on wrestling show front row seats when he could use that to feed kids in Africa?!
(As soon as Viz insulted the crowd, everybody there started raining down boos on him, and after that, Viz and Dr. Angelo D’Angelo couldn’t hold their laughs as they began laughing loudly and slapping their knees seeing people’s reactions. Viz wiped away a tear from his eye before speaking up again.)
Visual Prophet: All of you must have seen your faces when I said that! What, do you think I am colorblind or something? I know what the color blue is, they taught me that in kindergarten! Of course I know what brand I am standing on right now, I just wanted to pull the hair on all of you a little bit, my way to welcome all of you the people and crowd of Showdown into my world, the world of the Visual Prophet and all that encompasses it. And as always, it is a joke, it wasn’t a way to say that Dynasty is better than Showdown or anything, in fact, I am going to say this right here and now, put it on the record and on a stone that will last a thousand years…[BLEEP] Dynasty and Tyrone Montgomery.
Dr. Angelo D’Angelo: TELL EM HOW IT IS VIZ! 🗣️
(The crowd gasped slightly as Viz ended up saying that kind of thing about Dynasty, he cleared his throat and then continued talking.)
Visual Prophet: Even though I started my career here on Battleground, and then my first real brand was Voltage, I treated Dynasty as a home to me…fourth to my school, my personal kitchen and my actual home, but a home nonetheless! It was where the greatest hits of the Visual Prophet happened, two time Unified Tag Team Champion carrying a man who was in a church choir as a kid, two time World Heavyweight Champion, just the usual coming from me, but I did me most in Dynasty so of course I can get some small attachment to that, but it is clear I didn’t get the love back, because just like that, when they had so many chances to pick me, they let Showdown snatch me up, and no wonder…Dynasty sold out. Tyrone ended up letting those two walk over him and look what happened? That place is going to end up being plagued with diseases and cockroaches so bad a cleaning inspector would quit his job on the spot. All of that mess? It is not cooking with me and Angie.
(Viz ended up giving the microphone this time to Dr. Angelo D’Angelo and he stepped away for a moment as he let Angelo speak.)
Dr. Angelo D’Angelo: It is just as my beautiful black brother said, the decisions that Tyrone Montgomery took the past few weeks have disgusted me absolutely, I didn’t trust him since DAY ONE, that man was a sell-out since the beginning, an Uncle Tom who clearly never had on his mind the idea to even help us or end up giving Vizzy enough compensation for what he was giving out weekly, and now he lets a mayonnaise devil from the South and a walking raisin push him around like that? That old man probably saw the first wrestling match in person! That man saw at first hand the American Civil War, and considering how he is buddy-buddy with that devil, there is a good chance he wasn’t too fond of who won the war if you know what I mean! But I digress, I am not going to stress about it when we are out of the hellhole already, and from what Vizzy has told me the past few days, it seems that Showdown does indeed know the absolute treasure, the intangible fortune that they have with this man right here, and we are indeed a lot more satisfied now than we were at the end of Season 16, isn’t that right Vizzy?
(Dr Angelo D’Angelo quickly gave Viz back the microphone and he continued talking to the crowd.)
Visual Prophet: Crystal clear, Angie. Because you see, I had a personal one-to-one talk with the current Showdown General Manager Kennedy Street and she was willing to treat me like the star I proved to be, she knew what talent actually was when she saw it, she even accepted almost all of the demands that I asked of her to give me, and that is exactly what everyone who should acquire the services of the Visual Prophet do, if you give me the world, I will give you the magic that makes you all watch, a goddamn goliath of a golden goose, so in the future, everyone should follow the steps of that pretty white woman-
Dr. Angelo D’Angelo: VIZ?! :dahell:
Visual Prophet: (off-mic and whispering) Sorry Angie, the woman would only accept my demands if I called her pretty on live television.
Dr. Angelo D’Angelo: (off-mic and whispering) Goddamnit Viz, don’t give me those heart attacks!
Visual Prophet: (off-mic and whispering) Do not worry, we always got our backs, trust.
Visual Prophet: Right, where was I? So yeah, I talked with the alright looking white woman, blah blah blah, and I got my demands accepted. FIRST DEMAND. My own kitchen in my own personal locker room where I can personally cook my 5 michelin star meals, actual stars unlike the ones Mave Deltzer gives and only Jake Mercer cares about. SECOND DEMAND. An office backstage for my good brother Angie here, you are telling me that detective woman paid for an office too and she has left it sitting there collecting dust?! Only because she doesn’t have any actual clients who want her help?! A waste of money and inexcusable! THIRD DEMAND…Unlimited Bleeps.
Visual Prophet: Now what do I mean by that? Well, as you know, EAW has to listen to Disney now and I am not being forced to limit my dialect and say whatever they want me to, so I talked it out with Kennedy and even though I can’t exactly say the…”swear words”, they will be censored with a bleep, and so I asked for unlimited bleeps to say everything I can think of, and in a way, that is better, because I can say whatever the hell I want and you won’t know what I am saying! So yes, I can already see in the distance the backstage hand already in the controls and the terrified expression on his face, hold on to your butt and get ready, buddy. TYRONE MONTGOMERY IS A C-
(Suddenly, a long bleep censored what Viz was saying as a few people in the crowd looked on in shock and their jaws dropped while Viz was talking, and even Dr. Angelo D’Angelo was shaken a bit but finally the bleep stopped as Viz was heard once more.)
Visual Prophet: And I would slap the back of his head so hard, Adonis Creed would shriek in horror, the mark I would leave on his head would be so bad it would look like he has hair again, Michael B. Jordan would stop reading manga and anime and actually get inspired by me and the strength I have with my hands-
Dr Angelo D’Angelo: Alright, calm down Viz, if you put too much sauce on it you will get burnt!
Visual Prophet: Right, right, sorry once again Angie. FOURTH DEMAND. All of the catering food will be made by me and only me, we don’t want anybody here in this roster looking like 2020 Karl Impact, it’s disgusting! And you might think I might be just exerting my power here, but no, all of my food will be healthy for the Elitists of Showdown, I am looking out for the future here, prophet, as the old saying goes, because later in this year we are going to have Territorial Invasion and Showdown has been absolute ass the past few years there so with me here and my delicious food, I am sure that will change. AND THE PEOPLE WHO PULL A RONAN IN TERRITORIAL INVASION, you best believe you aren’t getting my patented new milkshake of chocolate “DTOI (Doing Tricks On It)”, you are getting the excrement of Barney the Dinosaur in a cup that McDonald’s is giving out to people, it apparently kills people I don’t know, but you better think of promoing more then this year instead of risking your life eating tuna subways in your time of work!
Visual Prophet: I also was planning for one of my demands to put Sheridan in a dog collar because I thought the sight of that would be funny, but sadly, plans fell out for that one, but in another I didn’t want to see Karl Impact’s face and luckily he isn’t in the building so you win some, you lose some! I have 96 other demands that got accepted but I will leave those a surprise for now. Point is, life is good right now for me and Angie, this is a new start, not a beginning, for the Visual Prophet. And no matter what kind of version you get from me, you will always end up getting the best of what you already know. Sadly, there is just that one splinter that is stuck right in my perfectly taken care of skin that hasn’t been able to come out the past few weeks, and it was that man dressing up as a zebra at Pain for Pride, the man who unjustifiably took away that win away from me at the event, the man who tried to respond with excuses to everything that I said at the Draft, I want him out, right here and now, if he is even here in the building, I want to settle this.
(And just like that, Viz’s usual good mood disappeared once more and that focused expression came back, he simply stared at the entrance as he waited for the man he called out to come out, the two men in the ring waited in silence for a few moments before finally…)
(“Tupac Back” by Meek Mill plays on the speakers and everybody cheers loudly in response. Cy Henderson slowly came out to the entrance stage and looked around with a small smile on his face, but it was clear in his eyes that he had that same focused look as Viz had as well. He took a moment to take in the cheers and love from the Showdown Crowd since it has been his first time appearing here as well in a long time, before finally he set down his sights on the Visual Prophet and the two men simply stared each other down.)
Eve: The tension could be cut with a knife right now…
Deadprez: The man that just came out could be considered a legend himself at his own right, he promised to give a performance at Grand Rampage, mediate a match between two men who wanted to tear each other apart and he ended up being thrown into the mix and he is settling things now with another man who is close, or is already there, to that legend status as well, we just will have to see what happens…
(Cy didn’t waste any time rushing down the ramp, highfiving a few of the fans along the way and sliding inside of the ring as soon as he could. He stood up and took a microphone out of his pockets, and just as his music died down and the Visual Prophet tried to speak, Cy put a hand up as a signal to tell him to stop and Viz simply gave him a death glare as Cy ended up speaking himself.)
Cy Henderson: You don’t even have to say a single word, Visual Prophet, I know very well what you want, and honestly, right now, I don’t want to hear your jokes, I don’t want to hear your unbearable digs, we are just going to end up going in circles if we continue our conversation from the Draft and I am sure you don’t want to spend the rest of your night just having a shouting match with me, so I am just going to set things straight as well. I did not lie when I said I wanted to say at first I just wanted to be the neutral force between you two on your match, and sadly, after you kneed me right in the face, I ended up losing my cool, I pushed you…and made you lost your match. Those are the facts on the table, all of that has been my fault and more and you got all reason to be angry. But after being attacked by you in that interview, and hearing the words of your associate in the Draft Show, about how I missed wrestling here, about how I missed the crowd, about how I missed those kinds of moments of going out there and fighting for yourself, about how I actually wanted to be there at Pain for Pride fighting you, and it got me thinking the past few days…
Cy Henderson: I promised that I only came back to do my job as a referee and not wrestle. Well…sometimes promises are made to be broken.
(The crowd all stood up in response when they heard that and they cheered in excitement when Cy said those words, Viz’s expression only got more serious as he heard that and Cy continued on.)
Cy Henderson: After Pain for Pride, after the Draft Show, it is time that we put an end to this. The only way we will be able to settle down these feelings, settle down these thoughts of beating each other up is in the ring. In a match. I want to face you at Midsummer Massacre.
(The challenge has been made! The crowd continues cheering loudly as Cy slowly extends his hand out towards Viz for a handshake to settle the deal, Viz looks down for a few seconds and then back up to Cy, before grabbing onto his hand and accepting the handshake. Just then, Cy pulled Viz closer and spoke to him with a serious tone.)
Cy Henderson: I want to face you so that you finally get your chance, defend your title as this living legend you say you are, or prove to be the most overhyped, overvalued and overprivileged EAW Elitist in existence. Because Visual Prophet…I am not cooking with you.
(Viz simply stared in silence in response before all of the sudden-)
Eve: VIZ HIT CY RIGHT ON THE FACE WITH A CHEAP SHOT IN THE MIDDLE OF THEIR HANDSHAKE!
Deadprez: I knew the Visual Prophet wouldn’t be able to contain himself as soon as Cy got closer, right now with Cy down he is just stomping a mudhole in him and even the Dr is joining in with a few kicks!
Gavin Kirkland: Always expect the unexpected! You never know when a pretty woman is going to slap you for a bad pick up line!
Deadprez: Somehow that is the tamest thing you said.
Eve: After Viz stomped on Cy so many times, he is suddenly backing up and he is unzipping his jacket as suddenly he…wait, what?
Deadprez: HE GOT A FRYING PAN OUT OF HIS JACKET!
Gavin Kirkland: A chef never forgets to carry his tools! That is what the hot woman in the cooking show sa-
Deadprez: And Viz right now is waiting for Cy to come to and slowly get up, that man Cy Henderson is on spaghetti legs as he is getting up, VIZ RUNS STRAIGHT AT HIM TO TAKE HIS HEAD OFF WITH THE FRYING PAN!
Eve: …CY HENDERSON DUCKS! HE GRABS VIZ’ FREE ARM AND SUDDENLY PULLS HIM IN AND PICKS HIM UP!
Gavin Kirkland: BURNING HAMMERIJFDDOFOIDGDJIGOJ!!!
Deadprez: BUT IT ISN’T MEANT TO BE THIS TIME EITHER! DR ANGELO D’ANGELO SAVES VIZ BY PULLING HIM OUT OF THE BURNING HAMMER POSITION!
(The two quickly slide out of the ring just in time and Cy Henderson can only stand there disappointed, but slowly a cheeky smile appears on his face as he sees the two of them back away. “Tupac Back” starts playing again and Cy puts up one, then two fingers, as a way to signal he almost got Viz two times, and slowly, he puts three fingers, to say that the third time he isn’t missing.)
Deadprez: Message. Sent.
Eve: This is going to possibly one of the most exciting matches heading into Midsummer Massacre as these two wrestlers, masters at their own craft, will face off to see who actually deserves to be called a legend, and if things are already getting this heated this early, then we all better get ready for what is about to happen next.
(Cy Henderson climbs up the top rope and poses for a moment as the crowd cheers him on, as Dr. Angelo D’Angelo can only scream and call Cy insults from the outside and the Visual Prophet can only stare down at his opponent for Midsummer Massacre. And just like that, Showdown fades to commercials.)
(‘O Fortuna’ by Carl Orff begins to play through the speakers of the Amica Mutual Arena as Madison Kaline comes out, oozing confidence. She struts down the ramp like she owns the darn place, more than ready to defeat Hikari Kanno tonight.)
Gina Romano: THE FOLLOWING MATCH IS SCHEDULED FOR ONE FALL!!!!!!
Crowd: ONE FALL!!!!!!!
Gina Romano: INTRODUCING FIRST…FROM TAMPA BAY, FLORIDA…SHE IS ‘THE MISTRESS OF DEATH’…MADISON KALINE!!!!!!!
Eve: At Pain for Pride, Madison Kaline failed at defeating ARIA in what was supposed to be the ‘Kiss My Ass’ match.
Gavin Kirkland: Did she really lose? Because why do I feel like the one that lost? No one’s behinds were kissed. While people were trying to portray my sweet Madison as the villain, I think that we need to look at the real villain — ARIA.
Deadprez: While you were feeling robbed of behind kissing, those two women put on an amazing performance. It ended the way that ARIA saw fit and that was with a handshake, but I heard that Madison spent the next couple of hours washing her hand with ten different types of soaps.
Eve: I believe that. You could tell that the moment was embarrassing for her. But, the Hall of Famer looks to bounce back and begin her Season 17 on a high note with a victory over Hikari Kanno!
(‘Trepanation’ by Millennium Parade replaces ‘O Fortuna’ as Hikari Kanno walks out a few weeks after her defeat at Pain for Pride and without a Hardcore Championship with her. Despite all of that, she is more than ready to compete. More than focused to begin her season right.)
Gina Romano: AND, INTRODUCING HER OPPONENT…FROM OKINAWA, JAPAN…SHE IS ‘THE DREAMING IDOL’…HIKARI KANNO!!!!!!!!!
Gavin Kirkland: Madison Kaline was not the only one to suffer a defeat at Pain for Pride. Hikari Kanno’s reign as Hardcore Champion concluded in the same event, but she’s not going to remain down. She’s going to pick herself up, use any opportunity to improve and become better than the last match.
Deadprez: That’s a nice approach from her. It’s difficult to keep this woman down. This woman refuses to go down without a fight and that is something that people should admire from her. I can see this match being tough for Madison based on that. Madison will do what she can to make sure Hikari goes down, but Hikari refuses to stay down.
Eve: That Hardcore Championship pushed Hikari Kanno to the next level. This season will have great things in store for her, but we’ll see how she does against Madison!
(DING! DING! DING!)
Eve: The two women are circling around, not really wanting to make the launch to lock up from this match. The two women are scouting each other real carefully as they have their hands up in a fighting stance kind of way —
Gavin Kirkland: And, the two women lock up, but Hikari Kanno applies a wrist lock as she stands behind Madison Kaline! But, Madison manages to counter the wrist lock with one of her own! But, Hikari goes behind Madison before getting a good grasp of her waist before slamming her stomach first against the mat! She keeps the waist lock for about a moment before sliding in front of Madison and applies a front headlock! Hikari begins to connect with some punches to the back of upper back! Slowly, Hikari gets ‘The Mistress of Death’ back to her feet before connecting with some knees to the gut of the former World Champion! Hikari goes back, rebounding off the ropes before connecting with a spinning heel kick —
Deadprez: BUT, MADISON KALINE MANAGES TO DUCK HERSELF AROUND! HIKARI KANNO MANAGES TO CATCH HERSELF FROM FALLING FORWARD! MADISON TURNS HIKARI AROUND BEFORE CONNECTING WITH A SPINNING BACK HAND THAT SENDS THE FORMER HARDCORE CHAMPION BACK! Hikari doesn’t stay back for long as she immediately connects with a knee strike to the chin of Madison! This causes Madison to drop to her knees as Hikari connects with a calf kick that sends Madison to her back! Hikari with the cover!
OOOONNNNEEEEEE!!!!!!
Eve: Madison Kaline with a kick out early in this match! Hikari Kanno grabs one of Madison’s legs before connecting with a leg whip! This causes the Hall of Famer to yelp in pain! But, Hikari grabs Madison’s leg again and once more, she whips the leg of Madison! Hikari gets Madison’s legs this time around before crossing them with each other as her arms are trapped within that crossing! Now, she places Madison on her knees! It’s almost like Madison is in an armadillo position and Hikari takes a couple of steps up! I think that we’re aware of what she wants to do!
Gavin Kirkland: ‘QUEEN’S REST’ IS APPLIED AS HIKARI KANNO RUSHES FORWARD AND CONNECTS WITH A SHARP KICK THAT CAUSES MADISON TO CRUMBLE OUT OF POSITION! MADISON FINDS HERSELF TO HER BACK, BUT HIKARI GETS MADISON BY HER LEG AGAIN, EXTENDING IT UP AND SLAMMING IT DOWN TO THE CANVAS! Madison clutches her leg in pain as Hikari grabs onto Madison’s leg and bends it over the bottom rope! Hikari pauses before stomping the leg, but Hikari does not stop there as she repeatedly begins to stomp off the leg of the former Women’s World Champion! Hikari places her foot on top of Madison’s leg as the referee begins his count!
Referee: (off-mic) ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! FIVE! BACK AWAY, HIKARI!
Deadprez: Hikari Kanno raises her hands up where the referee can see them as she begins to back away! Meanwhile, Madison Kaline is holding onto the top rope as she looks for a way up her feet! But, Hikari rushes forward and sweeps the feet of the leg that she had been targeting as Madison falls back! The rope collides with the back of her head! Hikari picks up Madison by her head and throws her back to the corner! Hikari grabs Madison and throws her head back against the turnbuckle covering! Now, we see Hikari taking a stance, going back before connecting with a HUGE chop to the chest of Madison! This causes Madison to yelp in response! Hikari takes a stance before going back once more before connecting with another huge chop to the chest of Madison! Madison yelps in pain for the second time as she clutches to her chest, but Hikari gets Madison’s hand away from her chest before connecting with a third chop!
Eve: BUT, MADISON KALINE DUCKS HERSELF OUT OF THE WAY AT THE LAST SECOND! SHE SLAMS HIKARI KANNO BACK TO THE SAME CORNER THAT SHE WAS PREVIOUSLY IN BEFORE CONNECTING WITH A HUGE CHOP OF HER OWN! AND THEN, ANOTHER ONE! AND THEN, ANOTHER ONE! MADISON IS NOT SHOWING ANY SIGN OF HESITATION AS SHE’S RETURNING THE FAVOR TO THE FORMER HARDCORE CHAMPION! Then, she sees that Hikari is sliding into a seated position at the bottom of the corner! Madison begins to stomp on the gut of Hikari! She places her foot on the side of Hikari’s face as the referee is going to begin a count here!
Referee: (off-mic) ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! FIVE! GET YOUR FOOT OFF OF HER, MADISON!
Gavin Kirkland: Madison Kaline delivers one last stomp to the face of Hikari Kanno before backing away! Madison stalks Hikari up to her feet before delivering a shoulder thrust to the gut of Hikari! Luckily, Hikari was able to get one of her hands to cling onto the rope! Madison connects with another shoulder thrust and then, she places Hikari on the top turnbuckle! Madison looks to join Hikari on that top rope, but Hikari throws a punch to Madison! Madison connects with a punch back to Hikari as that sends her back, but Hikari manages to keep her balance! It seems like Madison might be going for a superplex! HIKARI BEGINS TO PUNCH HERSELF OUT OF POSITION BY CONNECTING WITH PUNCHES TO MADISON’S GUT! But, Madison Kaline decides to end her arguing with the referee at the first sign of Hikari Kanno finding her way back to her feet! Hikari begins to punch the former Women’s World Champion in the gut, but this doesn’t cause Madison to release her grasp! Madison gets Hikari in position before looking to take her down with a spinning neck breaker, but Hikari manages to shove Madison away from her! Madison goes back as Hikari rushes forward, nailing a thrust kick that sends Madison back a bit! But, Madison goes right after Hikari, but Hikari hooks her by the arm and throws her behind! Madison is a veteran of this company. You can see that Madison is trying not to let herself be phased by Veena’s presence. Instead, she grabs Hikari by a fist full of her hair, pulling her in a front headlock position and spring boarding herself off the ropes and connecting with a tornado DDT! Deadprez: Hikari Kanno with her first win of Season 17 over the Hall of Famer, Madison Kaline! That ought to feel good after the loss at Pain for Pride! It seems like Hikari is not looking to use that to derail her, but as a learning lesson going into this season.
Eve: I enjoyed seeing some good ole fashion pro wrestling between these two women. That counter to conclude the match was amazing!
Gavin Kirkland: Are we just going to ignore that Veena Adams’ presence during the last bit of the match probably threw Madison Kaline off guard? I love Veena, but my sweet Madison probably wasn’t able to be on the top of her game! Although, she put up a talented fight. We ought to see how things progress for her as we head to Midsummer Massacre!
(Madison Kaline leans against the ropes outraged. Veena steps back with a smile on her face and disappears to the back. Hikari meanwhile is celebrating her hard earned victory as it fades into the last commercial break of the night.)
(‘Kamikaze’ by Red hook kicks in, as yet another newly drafted Elitist to the Showdown brand decides now is the right time to make an appearance. The boos he received are of no surprise after he turned on Rex McAllister at the end of Season Sixteen. The crowd isn’t happy, and then are letting him know it, even though as he appears he shrugs his shoulders as if he had done nothing wrong.)
Deadprez: Love him or hate him, you cannot deny that Kinkade is one heck of a coup for Kennedy Street
Eve: Oh for sure, he is very talented and so he should be considering who his mentor was. But it doesn’t take away from the fact that he is one of the most egotistical men on this roster, and should be made to pay for turning his back on everything this company and indeed Rex ever did for him.
(Daryl walks down to the ramp, taking the time to interact with the fans who are giving him crap. He gives as good as he gets for sure, and only stops when he finally reaches the ring and slides under the bottom rope.)
Deadprez: Of course, we saw Daryl get in the face of the New Answers World Champion Adam Lucas, and Daryl certainly made his feelings clear. No doubt he will elaborate on that tonight.
(Daryl grabs a mic, and with a huge smirk on his face, his arrogance clear to everyone in attendance, he starts to speak.)
Daryl Kinkade: Yeah, that’s right people, drink it in. The ‘Kink of Elite’ has arrived on Showdown, you lucky, lucky people.
(Boos make it clear that the fans in attendance don’t really feel lucky right now, but Daryl continues anyways.)
Daryl Kinkade: I mean, let us face it guys, there were moments last season when I was more than willing to jack in all in and try my hand with one of my many other talents. I would have been more than happy to terminate my contract and give this all up, because at the end of the day it was how I was feeling. You lot don’t even merit consideration. It makes me sick hearing the likes of our Answers World Champion come out here and claim that he won that championship for YOU!!!
(He points out over the crowd.)
Daryl Kinkade: And the worst part, you lap it all up. Nah, to hell with that noise, I do this for me, so when things weren’t going the way I wanted them too, then I was really to split. Thankfully or not, whichever side of the fence you sit on, Rex McAllister told me different. He tried to talk me out of it. He made it clear, that he thought I was making a mistake. You know something else he made clear? He made it crystal that I was nothing more than a pet project. I finally realizes, that the only reason he wanted me to say around was so that he didn’t come across as looking bad. He didn’t care about me, just like you idiots don’t care about me, and thus, I kicked his ass at Pain for Pride, making sure he understood that I don’t need him. I never needed him. Rex McAllister is now in my rear view mirror. Good riddance to bad rubbish.

I have taken champions like Minerva, TLA and even the Cash in the Vault winner Sheridan Muller to their absolute limits. I have proven myself over and over, Kennedy Street herself knows I wasn’t drafted to Showdown to be filler, I’m better than that. (To a huge roar, Adam Lucas appears at the top of the ramp, the Answers World Championship draped over his shoulder. He grins at the reaction, and takes a moment to applaud the fans, Daryl bringing his hand to his mouth in a mock yawn. Adam then takes the walk down the ramp, Kinkade watching him all the way, even as he climbs the steps, and then cautiously enters through the ropes. He walks past Daryl and to a turnbuckle, jumping up and holding the title aloft to another cheer. He then gets back down, and takes a mic, as his music fades.)

(Adam listens for a few moments, before bringing a mic to his lips.)
Adam Lucas: Thank you Showdown. Daryl… that is something you may not have heard of. A little something called respect.

Daryl Kinkade: I want to show the world that Rex McAllister was only the beginning, and become the Answers World Champion, showing the world the fraud that you are.
Adam Lucas: Fraud? Where have I heard that before? OK sunshine, you got it, the match is yours.
(The crowd erupts, Adam answering the challenge without hesitation.)

Gavin Kirkland: But what an opportunity for Daryl Kincade
(Adam holds out his hand, and Daryl takes it, the two of them shaking. Adam goes to turn, but before he can, Daryl SUCKER PUNCHES HIM IN THE JAW, staggering him slightly. Daryl then slides out the ring, grinning from ear to ear, happy that he got what he wanted. As he backs up the ramp, he lifts the mic once more.)
Daryl Kinkade: Like I said mate, the missus has got bigger bollocks than you.
Deadprez: WHAT A WAY TO END AN EXTRAORDINARY SHOW!. Daryl Kinkade makes the challenge and Adam accepts. It is going to be Adam Lucas versus Daryl Kinkade for the Answers World Championship at Midsummer Massacre.
Eve: It has been the theme of tonight, newly drafted Elitists making their mark. Can Daryl make the biggest statement of all at the Showdown FPV?
Gavin Kirkland: Like he said… he’s not intending to be filler. This will be Adam’s first defense, maybe Kinkade takes advantage of that.

(The camera pans to Adam who is rubbing his chin, staring directly at Kinkade. It then pans to Daryl, who is still grinning from ear to ear, happy with the way tonight had transpired. He then motions towards his waist, making it perfectly clear how he believes Midsummer Massacre is going to end. With a New Answers World Champion.)
