(RECAP–Last week, the Elitists of Showdown were live from the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. Before the show even started, Kyra Philips was trying to get an interview from Adam Lucas, who really didn’t wanna answer any questions before he saw Kassidy Heart. Adam tries to explain, but Kassidy didn’t wanna hear any of it before she claims that she is going to make Adam’s wife suffer and destroy her at Pain for Pride before Adam walks away, not happy from Kyra, who tries to ask another question. Then the action started quick as the opening contest had Answers World Champion Jake Smith competing against his girlfriend Holly Arrow to a No Contest after Holly, Harper, Jake, and guest commentator Adam Lucas started to brawl outside the ring. Then, an exclusive Fighting Spirit interview with Mikaela Street and Ms. Extreme talking about the match before returning to present time where Mikaela talks about the injuries both Camille and Pandora suffered with Camille only out of action for a few weeks, Pandora is out for an indefinite amount of time. The next match was the special New Showdown Talent Showcase where Michael Machina defeated Nyx and Marilyn Johnson to continue his undefeated streak.)
(The recap plays on as Veena Adams and Ashlynn Quinn come to the ring where it is proclaimed that there is nobody left to face Veena for the National Elite Champion. Jon Kelton and then Jack Ripley come to the ring and make their cases before Heidi Huxley comes onto the entrance ramp and makes a triple threat match at Pain for Pride where Veena will defend her title against BOTH Jon and Jack. Next, Donovan Duke wins a fatal four way match over Harley Lewis, Lexi, and Ashlynn Quinn to qualify for the Cash in the Vault ladder match at Pain for Pride. Backstage, Drake Armstrong and Kennedy Street were talking before Chris Elite enters and talks about confronting a star on another brand. Kennedy Street simply tells him to do something about and show what you’ve got. The next match has Caroline successfully defending her New Breed Championship against Major Scotty Connor. After the match, Caroline continues to attack Scotty but Hans Grayson comes out to stop the attack. Then backstage, POTARA was being interviewed by Kyra Philips before being interrupted by DOMINION who say that POTARA are starting to feel the pressure of being champions and that in a few weeks, THEY will be the new Tag Team Champions.)
(The recap continues with Harper Lee defeating Adam Lucas by Countout after guest commentator Jake Smith held Adam’s ankle and prevented him from getting back into the ring. Then Kassidy Heart comes to the ring and talks about how angry and all the other emotions she has gone through about what happened with Dr. Bethany Blue. Kassidy also talked about how she is NOT going to let the first fired shot by Bethany go unnoticed and that Pain for Pride is going to be a living nightmare for her before Dr. Bethany Blues comes out from the crowd and tries to attack Kassidy and she flees when Kassidy starts to fight back, but Kassidy gives chase backstage before Kassidy is held back by her bodyguard and Kassidy makes her intentions quite clear. The main event of the night had Hall of Famer Impact defeating Dominion’s Xander Payne. After the match, Impact tried to attack Xander, but Ryan Joseph Wilson came in to make the save. The final shot shows POTARA, who have been watching the match, and DOMINION looking at each other as the recap ends.)
(“Brick Wall” by A Day to Remember starts playing as Showdown is coming live from the Mississippi Gulf Coast Coliseum in the beautiful town of Biloxi, Mississippi. The crowd in the sold out arena are standing on their feet cheering for another exciting edition of Showdown. They are excited for all the upcoming action that will no doubt The camera pans around the arena showing as many fans as possible with their signs and merchandise before finishing at the commentary table where Deadprez, Eve, and Gavin Kirkland are sitting and ready to call the action. )
Deadprez: WE ARE ONLY FOUR WEEKS AWAY FROM THE BIGGEST EVENT OF THE SEASON, PAIN FOR PRIDE! Ladies and gentlemen, this is SATURDAY! NIGHT! SHOWDOWN! We are coming to you live from the amazing Mississippi Gulf Coast Coliseum in Biloxi, Mississippi. I am Deadprez and alongside Eve and Gavin Kirkland, we will be bringing all the awesome action that the blue brand has to offer.
Eve: That’s right, Prezzy. We are about a month away from Pain for Pride and things are only get more heated from here. So much action and so little time!
Gavin Kirkland: WOOOOOOOOOO! So much action is right! Especially from Showdown because we are all about action because WE WRESTLE!!!!!!!! Speaking of action, tonight MS. EXTREME IS BACK!! She is here and she is no doubt going to be looking for Kennedy Street.
Eve: We will also no doubt be hearing more about the Showdown participants in the 24/7 Battle Royal. Winning this match could be the first step on a lucky participant’s road to SuperStardom. Also, we will be hearing from Hans Grayson and he still has Caroline on his mind after what she tried to do last week on Major Scotty.
Deadprez: Very true and finally we make it official. Tonight, the Showdown Pain for Pride main event competitors get in the ring and make their match official. Jake Smith and Adam Lucas will share the ring tonight and after everything went down last week, how will things go down and we will find that out later on tonight.
Gavin Kirkland: IT IS TIME FOR THE MATCHES!!!! WOOOOOOOO!!! I love match time! Speaking of matches, tonight we have a DEBUT!!! We will see the debut of Jamie Kazuki as she takes on Marilyn Johnson. Will Jamie make a big statement with a victory in her first EAW match or will Marilyn right the wrong of her loss last week by defeating Jamie?
Eve: Also tonight we have a big match of Chris Elite taking on Alex Myers in singles action. What makes things even more interesting is that we just found out that Donovan Duke will be here as our special guest commentator. Donovan and Alex represent Showdown in the Cash in the Vault Ladder match. Will Alex be able to keep their focus on Chris or will Elite get back on track with a victory?
Gavin Kirkland: We have another huge match tonight as Jack Ripley will be taking on Xander Payne of DOMINION! Will Xander get back to his winning ways or will Jack get some momentum towards his National Elite Championship match at Pain for Pride? I heard that Jon Kelton and Veena Adams would be at ringside, so who knows how that match will play out.
Eve: We have another big match on tap because THE MAULER IS IN THE HOUSE!! Kassidy Heart is here and she is not in the best of moods as she takes on Roberto De La Rosa. Roberto will have La Familia with him, but can the numbers advantage of La Familia stand up against an angry Kassidy Heart?
Deadprez: Finally in our main event, we have the other half of DOMINION in Ryan Joseph Wilson taking on Impact. Impact defeated Xander Payne last week and Ryan prevented Impact from doing more damage. Will Ryan get revenge for Xander and DOMINION or will Impact make it two in a row? That is tonight and right now, let’s take it to the lovely Gina Romano in the ring to kick off this edition of Saturday Night Showdown!
(“They Call Me A God” by NEFEX starts to play throughout the arena as the crowd starts to cheer loudly. Ms. Extreme walks out after her war with Pandora Paisley back at Fighting Spirit and looks around before heading to the ring.)
Gina Romano: I would like to introduce at this time…. MS. EXTREME!!!!
(The crowd continues to cheer as she slowly makes her way toward the ring.)
Deadprez: We saw a war between Ms. Extreme and Pandora Paisley! It stole the show for many, and these two women left everything on the line. In the end, Ms. Extreme was the Last Woman Standing in a bloody unsanctioned affair but take nothing away from Pandora, it was a star making performance for her on that night as well, but Camille showed why she is one of the toughest women in the industry!
Eve: She really is and fought against the odds. Ms. Extreme was hurt, Pandora knew it, but she underestimated the lengths this woman will go and paid the ultimate price. Ms. Extreme is still that, Extreme, but I will agree Prez, Pandora is a shining future star and she showed that in Miami.
Gavin Kirkland: I miss my beautiful Hellcat right now, but she will be back bigger and stronger than ever! Until then, we all know what this means, Pandora losing leads now to Pain For Pride where Ms. Extreme will indeed battle our incredibly gorgeous General Manager…. Kennedy Street! This is horrible.
(Camille gets in the ring and is handed a mic, it doesn’t take very long for her to speak after the music dies down.)
Ms. Extreme: Let me start off by saying, I must give Pandora Paisley her due. I underestimated her will and brutality, and even though she underestimated my resolve and just how far I would go to win this match, I can say that she did earn my respect.
(The crowd claps and Ms. Extreme nods.)
Ms. Extreme: Very few women can stand toe to toe with me, Pandora was definitely one of those, now if she just gets her head out of her ass, she will be indeed a future Champion in this company and one that can be a driving force for many years. But let’s go ahead and say it…. I WAS THE LAST WOMAN STANDING!
(The crowd starts to cheer.)
Ms. Extreme: I am sick and tired of the games. All I have done is taken it on the chin by the General Manager of Showdown. Look, when I faced Pandora, when I went through all the damn hoops and hurdles all so that she could try to prove a point and hold me down, I did indeed surpass all of those and kept going on and on until I finally got what I want and that is Kennedy Street ONE ON ONE at Pain For Pride!
(She nods as the crowd continues to cheer. Ms. Extreme paces around for a moment before she finally looks up and into the camera.)
Ms. Extreme: I beat your protégé, Kennedy. I went through every single person that you have thrown at me, but this time? There is no one left. No Devolution, no hired guns just you and me. Kennedy…..
(Suddenly “Her” by Megan Thee Stallion starts to play throughout the arena as the crowd stands up and boos. Kennedy Street walks out in her black dinner dress and heels looking beautiful as ever. Drake Armstrong is right behind her as she heads toward the ring.)
Deadprez: And here comes our General Manager! Kennedy Street doesn’t look happy at all, and she is storming to the ring with Drake Armstrong in tow!
Eve: She really is, and we know she has called lawyers, had a legal team on this, that she is trying to find any way out of this!
Gavin Kirkland: She shouldn’t even entertain this or be out here! Drake better do his job to protect her!
(Drake holds the ropes open for Kennedy as she steps in with a mic already in hand.)
Kennedy Street: Okay… okay…. Enough is enough honey! This was cute but we are not doing this, Kennie is sure to find a suitable opponent for you at Pain For Pride, but this isn’t happening. Now, before you go calling moi a coward, let me reassure you that Kennie has no issues beating your ass. I know that I can do it with ease, but I am a General Manager now and this comes first. So, we are done here. Go back to the dressing room, hit some catering, we have some wonderful country food in the back and fill your belly.
(Ms. Extreme doesn’t look too thrilled with Kennedy right now. She glares at her for a moment before smiling.)
Kennedy Street: What is so funny?
Ms. Extreme: You are. Since Road to Redemption, you have done nothing but make my life a living hell. I was on this crusade to [BLEEP] Disney but now? I am on a crusade to [BLEEP] UP KENNEDY STREET!
Kennedy Street: That’s cute honey. Now drop it, you won and beat Pandora Paisley. You got the last laugh, we are done.
Ms. Extreme: No, we are not. We have a match at PFP and WE WILL wrestle at Pain for Pride!
(A very annoyed Kennedy Street sighs and looks over at Drake Armstrong and nods.)
Deadprez: DRAKE ARMSTRONG TRIES TO CLOTHESLINE MS. EXTREME BUT SHE DUCKS, HE TURNS AROUND AND CAMILLE KICKS HIM RIGHT IN THE GROIN! DRAKE FALLS OUT OF THE RING AND SHE TURNS AROUND….
Eve: KENEDY STREET KICKED OFF HER HEELS AND GOES FOR A SUPERKICK! NO! CAMILLE CAUGHT HER FOOT….. SHE IS BITING HER TOES! KENNEDY IS SCREAMING AS CAMILLE IS BITING HER TOES AND SHE LET’S GO! KENNEDY IS HOBBLING HOLDING HER FOOT….
Gavin Kirkland: …. NOOOOO! HOLY GROUND! THE COUBLE FOOT STOMP JUST TOOK OUT KENNEDY! SHE IS FLAT ON HER BACK BUT CAMILLE IS NOT DONE! SHE GRABS KENNEDY’S LEG, FLIPS HER OVER…. THE AVA LOCK! LEAVE HER ALONE!
(Kennedy screams in pain as she slams her hands frantically on the mat trying to break out, but Camille keeps it locked in! the officials run out from the back, security and Kennedy is barely conscious as Camille let’s go and rolls out of the ring and hops into the crowd.)
Deadprez: KENNEDY STREET WAS JUST TAKEN OUT BY MS. EXTREME! KENNEDY IS BARELY CONSCIOUS LAYING FACE DOWN ON THE MAT AS THE OFFICIALS CHECK ON HER! DRAKE AMRSTRONG IS BACK IN THE RING CHECKING ON HER AS MS. EXTREME LOOKS ON SMILING!
Eve: She struck first and Kennedy is wishing she had never screwed with Ms. Extreme!
Gavin Kirkland: I need to go help her!
(The scene slowly fades to commercial as Ms. Extreme continues to look on with a smile on her face while Kennedy gets medical attention.)
(As Showdown comes back from commercial, “Metamorphosis” by Blue Stahli plays through the arena as the crowd meets somebody they don’t really know in Jamie Kazuki. She comes out with a focused look, as the crowd remains silent in waiting for her to make a move inside. She walks down the ramp and proceeds to wait in the corner.)
Gina Romano: THIS MATCH IS SCHEDULED FOR ONE FALL WITH A TWENTY MINUTE TIME LIMIT! INTRODUCING FIRST, FROM TOKYO, JAPAN— THE ASSASSIN, JAMIE KAZUKI!
(‘Heads Will Roll’ by Yeah Yeah Yeah plays through the arena as the crowd boos her. They don’t like her personality, but she takes great offence to this. She spits in a fan’s face as she makes her way down the ramp and into the ring.)
Gina Romano: AND HER OPPONENT, FROM LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA, THE IRRESISTIBLE POISON, MARILYN JOHNSON!
(DING! DING! DING!)
Gavin Kirkland: And Jamie is going right at her! It’s clear that Marilyn is rather unprepared as Jamie is just battering her over and over again! She’s not even given a chance to breathe! Marilyn’s being thrown into the turnbuckle, as Jamie runs and hits her with a massive clothesline in the corner! It’s clear that Marilyn came into this match unprepared and with the wrong mindset. It’s costing her here, man! Against someone like Jamie, this is not the kind of deal you want to be putting yourself in.
Eve: Marilyn turns around, only to get clocked with a right hook to the jaw! Jamie just took her out and clearly, CLEARLY this is not looking good for her. There must be something in Marilyn’s back pocket right now, man. She’s just going insanely hard and there seems to be nothing that can stop her! Marilyn is surviving, not thriving!
Deadprez: I guess this can be a lesson learned on her end. Show up prepared, don’t just underestimate Jamie which is something that she must have clearly done. Marilyn is getting battered from all angles and this is something that we should have seen coming! Jamie grabs ahold of her wrist as she lifts Marilyn up in the air for a Belly to Back Suplex, and it takes Marilyn out! So far, this has not been Marilyn’s night.
Gavin Kirkland: That’s an understatement. Marilyn is getting straight bodied right now and that’s me being generous. Jamie turns around again, and she lifts her up, going for a Vertical Suplex! Boom! Marilyn got planted and it seems like Jamie is fired up here! Jamie rebounds off the ropes and she strikes Marilyn with an elbow strike! Marilyn backs up, before Jamie drops down and sends an uppercut into her jaw! This is starting to feel like a warmup fight for Jamie, and it doesn’t seem like she’s sweating too much!
Eve: Perhaps Jamie’s hunger is starting to get the best of Marilyn, who is showing otherwise! She covers up as Jamie unloads on her in the corner, throwing massive shots before breaking her guard with a high knee! Jamie runs off the opposite turnbuckle before striking her in the face with a massive running meteora! What a shot! Marilyn is down and Jamie goes for the cover! Can she do this? Can she end the match right here and grant herself her first ever win in EAW?

Deadprez: No! Marilyn stays alive, Jamie picks her up but Marilyn is sending shots of her own! Some of them are causing Jamie to stagger back, and Marilyn comes in with an elbow shot! Jamie staggers back, and it seems like Marilyn does have some fight in her after all! Jamie is taking some shots, but she returns fire and shrugs them off! Now it’s her turn to give some of her own as Jamie is forcing Marilyn to back up! Right now, I’m seeing a one-sided match that will end very quickly if it remains at this pace! Marilyn is getting insanely pounded right now!
Gavin Kirkland: Not very good wording, but I hear you! Jamie comes in and hits her with a side kick! Roundhouse kick to the head but Marilyn ducks under and is still met with a heavy shot to the ribs by Jamie! She basically feinted her out and she’s showing levels of intelligence that we typically see in veterans! EAW Veterans, at that! Marilyn kneels, as Jamie rebounds off and slams her knee right into the back of Johnson’s head! Now Jamie wraps her hands around her face for the crossface choke! Holy!
Eve: And Marilyn is trying to fight out of it, but she cannot! She cannot fight out of it any longer! Jamie is keeping it locked in, but Marilyn is persistent! May be she does have some heart after all, as Marilyn is reaching for the ropes! Jamie’s grip is loosening, as Marilyn does grab the ropes! She gets up and sends a kick to Jamie’s gut, but this angers her as she replies by tossing Marilyn over the ropes with a clothesline! Dude, she cannot seem to chill and I’m loving that fire! I’m loving that intensity, as Jamie rolls under the ring and tosses Marilyn back inside!
Deadprez: Jamie stays on the outside, as she jumps off the springboard into a Springboard Cutter! Arrow from the Sky she calls it, as Marilyn is knocked the hell out! She gets up, and Jamie is pumping her chest! Now she’s coming in with devastating uppercuts, as Marilyn is dropped into a position for a powerbomb! It connects! Marilyn is out and perhaps this could be it! This could be Jamie’s first win in what could be considered quite a dominant victory for her! Jamie goes for the cover and she might have it won right here!

Gavin Kirkland: NO! Marilyn finds a way to kick out and she’s still in this fight! Surviving, not fighting, though. It seems like Jamie is going to keep going at her over and over again, and if this is Marilyn playing possum, she has to switch plans, FAST. Jamie lifts her up and she’s going for several chops to her chest! Marilyn returns fire! Jamie comes back and hits her again! Jamie is going hard as hell right now and honestly, Marilyn should just run out and never come back in! Jamie pulls Marilyn in, and she gets her into position!
Eve: Tiger Driver ‘91 Position and it seems like Marilyn is about to get sent to the shadow realm! Not good for her, as Marilyn is about to get dropped down, and Jamie is looking at the fans! Jamie then proceeds to drive her head into the mat, and she calls that the DESIGN! THE DESIGN CONNECTS! Now Jamie is going for the cover!

Deadprez: Big win for Jamie Kazuki on her debut, very impressive!
Eve: She really opened some eyes!
Gavin Kirkland: Poor Marilyn.
(We cut to the back where Kyra Phillips is stood by with impressive newcomer Michael Machina, fresh off his victory last week.)
Kyra Phillips: Thank you for joining me at this time. I would like to welcome you to my guest, Michael Machina.
Michael Machina: It’s your pleasure. Their pleasure as well
(Kyra looks a little put off, but it was by no means unexpected.)
Kyra Phillips: Just doing my job Michael, just like it seems you have been doing yours.
Michael Machina: Look at me Kyra, should anyone have really been surprised that I have steamrollered through all my opposition in double quick time. It’s like I have been fed scraps, mere morals, and it’s not enough. It will never be enough.
Kyra Phillips: It’s not my place to judge, but you are undefeated so far, and there is no doubt that has gotten you noticed.
(Michael scoffs, like it shouldn’t have needed any evidence.)
Michael Machina: Like I said in my promo last week, I’ll forgive people expecting me to be like every other rookie that has walked through those doors. I’ll even forgive a little bit of cynicism; it is to be expected. What I won’t forget however is people not having jumped on the train considering that I have done thus far. And believe me, I am far from finished with EAW.
Kyra Phillips: The word is that management has noticed that you are most certainly the real deal.
Michael Machina: And so, they should. I don’t know how long you have been around the wrestling world, but there are not many impressive specimens such as myself. If I hadn’t been ‘noticed’ by management, then I would be asking questions about this company’s direction. I will do anything to face the very best this company has to offer, I demand to face the very best competition in this industry, or else it wouldn’t be worth my while. In fact, you should be excited, because I have a bit of an exclusive for you. Hot off the press.
(Kyra’s eyes widened, she loved an exclusive.)
Michael Machina: What, no drum roll? A confetti cannon perhaps?
(Kyra shrugs, there was no drum roll, or cannon for that matter.)
Michael Machina: No matter. I have just gotten word from Kennedy Street, who might I add certainly understands my skill set…
Kyra Phillips: I’m sure she does.
Michael Machina: I have been rewarded for my ‘efforts’ thus far, though I have barely broken sweat, with a place in the 24/7 Battle Royal. That shows how good I am, being given such a huge opportunity in my very first Pain for Pride.
Kyra Phillips: It’s an opportunity for sure.
Michael Machina: It is. Because it means that I get to mow through as many wrestlers as they put in front of me in order to get my hands on that contract. With that contract, it will mean that I will set my place at the head of the table for Season Seventeen. And more importantly, it means that I can set my sites on whatever Championship I deemed fit to be sat on my waist. And when I say whatever Championship, I do include the Answers World Champion, whoever than may be. I’m the very best fighter in this company, in fact this industry, and when I win that contract, I’ll be able to do whatever the hell I want. And no one will be able to do a damn thing about…
???: Those are big words, Soldier.
(The crowd roars, Kyra smirking as Major Michael Scott Connor limps into view. Michael looks him up and down, incredulous at the interruption from this guy who looked like G.I. Joe.)
Michael Machina: Words I am more than capable of backing up. Especially against someone who’s running on one wheel after having his backside handed to him last week
(Machina looks down at the Major’s leg, obviously recognizing that he is still carrying the injury caused by Caroline last week.)
Major Michael Scott Connor: I’ve met so many recruits exactly the same as you. People that believe that they are owed something. Why are you owed anything to Machina? Because you won a couple of matches.
Michael Machina: Well, it’s more than you have recently
(The Major smirks, he had indeed seen this all before, right before he’d whipped that individual into shape. This wouldn’t be any different.)
Major Michael Scott Connor: Be that as it may, it turns out that Kennedy Street has also given me entrance into the 24/7 Battle Royal at Pain for Pride. Seems that no matter how much you believe you have left an impression on management… so have I.
Michael Machina: You, anyone else, it doesn’t make a difference to the outcome. I’ll still be walking away with that contract. Remember when you could walk properly… before you blew another chance?
(The Major laughs in Machina’s face, his face reddening a little as anger starts to take a hold. The Major scoffs, recognizing that he is getting under his skin.)
Major Michael Scott Connor: I get it, you think this is all going to be easy, that this match will be nothing more than a walk in the park. In a way, I admire it. I admire someone who has unbreakable confidence in themselves to get a job done. But I am not an ordinary individual. I was trained to the highest standards, both physically and mentally. I WILL break you, and that confidence, I promise you. And I will take that contract and make up for what happened last week. And if I have to take you down in the process, I will.
(Michael Machina isn’t having that, and he steps up to the Major so that their noses are almost touching, the tension obvious.)
Michael Machina: Try it. And a dodgy leg will be the least of your worries.
(The Major just stares at him, as Machina turns away and walks off, the Major watching him go with a look of pure determination etched on his face as the scene fades back to ringside.)
( Saturday Night Showdown returns from the commercial break, with Gina Romano standing tall in the center of the ring. Looking as stunning as ever, she captures the attention of the audience, building anticipation for the upcoming match. )
Gina Romano: LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, PLEASE WELCOME!… DONOVAN DUKE!
Crowd: WOOOOOEISUSOSJSISJDYSJSGAUYEYWYEAHAHAHAHAODISKSHOSHSISJSKSLOSUSHSKSJOWKWJWOWIEKEJEOEORJEI!!!!!

Alex Myers makes their entrance, stopping to look at Chris, who is patiently waiting. Alex wastes no time and confidently heads towards the ring, keeping in mind their goal of defeating Chris Elite not once, but twice. )

Deadprez: Chris Elite takes on Alex Myers once again here on Showdown. Remember the last time they faced each other, Alex picked up a win. Can Chris bounce back from the loss and beat Alex this time? Let’s anticipate the outcome of this match! Chris and Alex meet in the middle of the ring, and Chris throws hands, but Alex quickly goes behind, seizing Chris and executing a waist lock takedown! Donovan, how do you expect this match to unfold?
Donovan Duke: Both men are great competitors. Chris is a deserving hall of famer, and Alex is one of my favorite opponents overall. I believe they can both bring their A-game to every competition they’re in. Alex has shown consistent growth, and Chris continues to prove why he deserves his hall of fame status. Look what’s going on there, Alex attempts to lock Chris in a headlock, but Chris is working on a new game plan to counter that.
Gavin Kirkland: Chris tries to avoid the early trap, twisting around to face Alex and throwing punches at him. However, Alex tries to duck but can’t evade the punches completely, causing him to roll away from Chris. Alex quickly gets back on his feet and charges at Chris, but Chris rolls out of harm’s way, making Alex hit the brakes. Chris then turns around and delivers a Knife Edge Chop across Alex’s chest, producing a resounding sound in the arena!
Eve: That one chop by Chris shows his dominance early on. He grabs Alex and tosses him to the ropes. Alex bounces off as Chris leaps off the mat and attempts a Dropkick, but Alex sidesteps, causing Chris to land on the ground face-first. Alex quickly pulls Chris back to his feet and whips him into the corner, GOING FOR A JUMPING CLOTHESLINE!
Deadprez: Chris goes through the ropes, down to the apron, to avoid Alex hitting the corner. Alex turns around to face Chris and throws a punch, but Chris ducks under, grabs the rope, and connects with a Step-Up Enzugiri, sending Alex back into the middle of the ring. Chris then grabs the ropes, JUMPS OFF, AND HITS A SPRINGBOARD LARIAT TO TAKE DOWN ALEX MYERS!
Gavin Kirkland: Alex is brought down to the ground by the flying Lariat from Chris Elite. Chris manages to take down Alex and then picks him up, throws his arm over his shoulder, and DROPS ALEX TO THE GROUND WITH A VERTICAL SUPLEX! The suplex connects, and Chris is in control after that suplex, which came right after the flying lariat!
Deadprez: Chris is determined to secure the win tonight against Alex Myers and ensure that nothing distracts him from his game plan here.
Donovan Duke: Chris definitely wants this win to maintain his reputation, especially after being defeated by Alex Myers before. Chris also has his sights set on his main target, Theron Nikolas, so he can’t afford any distractions. But here, I’m concerned about Alex. They have been continuously improving and becoming tougher with each passing day, as I mentioned earlier. They are one of those individuals who require close attention.
Gavin Kirkland: Now Chris regains his composure, backing into the corner, keeping his eyes on Alex, and waiting for them to get back up. Alex scrambles to their feet as Chris swiftly steps out of the corner and HITS THE ‘BOX OFFICE SMASH’ SUPERKICK THAT COULD POTENTIALLY KNOCK ALEX OUT RIGHT THERE!
Eve: Alex manages to duck under the kick just in time, avoiding Chris’s move. Chris quickly turns back around and attempts to drop Alex with a right hand, but Alex catches him, seizes him, and TAKES HIM DOWN WITH AN ELEVATED DDT, SPIKING CHRIS’S HEAD ONTO THE GROUND AND LEAVING HIM VULNERABLE!
Gavin Kirkland: Alex sees an opportunity and heads up to the second rope, sitting on it and catching his breath while Chris tries to recover….. Alex takes a moment on the ropes, BALANCING ON BOTH FEET, THEN FLIES OFF FOR A DIVING BLOCKBUSTER!
Deadprez: Chris moves out of the way and lets Alex crash down to the ground, dropping into a cover and looking to secure a quick victory! However, Alex kicks out just before the referee could begin the count!
Eve: Alex quickly retaliates as both competitors get to their feet, DELIVERING SIMULTANEOUS LARIATS TO EACH OTHER! Both of them fall apart from each other. Chris looks up at Alex again, ATTEMPTING ANOTHER LARIAT, BUT ALEX STEPS IN, FLIPS UNDER CHRIS’S ARM, AND TRANSITIONS IT INTO A POWERBOMB POSITION! ALEX LIFTS CHRIS OFF THE GROUND, RUNS TOWARDS THE CORNER, AND CRUSHES CHRIS’S SPINE WITH A BUCKLE BOMB!

Now with Chris lying down, Alex heads up to the top corner, contemplating another high-flying move, but hesitates as Chris remains on the ground. Chris is in a position that Alex expects him to be in, and now Alex reaches both feet, flies off the top corner, and connects with a Moonsault onto Chris! Chris is hurt as Alex lands the move! Deadprez: Alex is on the verge of losing the match, but they’ve turned things around by positioning themselves against the ropes, leaning on them while waiting for Chris to regain both feet. Alex pops out of that position just as Chris rises to his knees. Alex quickly runs in and CONNECTS WITH A BASEMENT DROPKICK TO THE SIDE OF CHRIS’S HEAD, CAUSING HIM TO HOLD HIS FACE IN PAIN! Chris struggles to get back to his feet and ends up leaning against the ropes, feeling the effects of that dropkick that almost knocked his teeth out!
Gavin Kirkland: Alex gets the upper hand back in this match and now moves towards Chris, helping him back to his feet. Alex sends Chris towards the ropes, intending to turn him inside out with a clothesline, but CHRIS DUCKS UNDER AND QUICKLY RETALIATES BY PLANTING WITH A GERMAN SUPLEX ON ALEX!
Eve: Alex manages to catch Chris off guard with a back elbow to his face, staggering the hall of famer and leaving him leaning against the ropes, trying to recover from the impact. Alex charges towards Chris, attempting a clothesline over the ropes, but Chris ducks under, causing Alex to land on the apron on both feet. Alex tries to hit a Single Legged Dropkick to take down Chris, but Chris sidesteps, letting Alex crash down to the ground again. ( ‘Pressure’ by Paramore plays while Theron stands tall over Chris Elite, who is laid out by him. Theron points a finger gun at him, maintaining his dominant position, and promptly exits the ring. Meanwhile, Alex walks down slowly in front of the table with Donovan, who takes off his headphones, and both exchange intense stares then the scene fades into a commercial break. )
(Chris Elite walks the corridors of the arena, and he wears the look of someone who is far from happy. And it doesn’t take a genius to understand why. Although Chris had cost Theron Nikolas his match against ARIA on Voltage last week, he hadn’t expected Theron to repay the favor and cost him against Alex Myers, and to say that he was sick of it is an understatement. He is Chris Elite, Legend and Hall of Famer, and he refuses to be treated like this. Finally, he turns the corner and reaches his destination, Kennedy Street’s office, and he is surprised to see Drake Armstrong standing outside. Chris goes to push by, but Drake stands his ground.)
Chris Elite: Get out my way Armstrong, I’m not in the mood and I’m here to see Kennedy Street, NOT her lap dog. You don’t want another kick in the balls.
Drake Armstrong: Tending to her needs doesn’t make me a lap dog Chris. It just makes me an associate of hers. But, for the record Kennedy isn’t here, and is in medical dealing with other things.
Chris Elite: I don’t believe you.
(Drake laughs, he wasn’t bothered about that either way.)
Drake Armstrong: Believe me or not, I don’t care. But you are not getting in.
(Chris eyes widen, yet more levels of disrespect being fired his way.)
Chris Elite: That’s cute, and I appreciate the fact that you are trying to act like the big man… but get out my way.
(Chris again goes to move forwards, but still Drake isn’t going anywhere, and in fact seems even more determined to keep him out.)
Drake Armstrong: No, I can’t. I’m sure Kennedy will take the time to listen to your gripe later. I’m sorry Chris, but you are not coming in, and that is the end…
(Chris has had enough of this, and he literally shoves Drake out the way, wondering what the heck all that was all about. As far as he was concerned, he had earned the right to demand an audience with anyone who had a say over the direction of his career, due to everything he had done for the company. Once in the office he scans the area, and finds Drake to be telling the truth, Kennedy really isn’t there. His eyes however focus on Heidi Huxley who IS there and wondering why Chris Elite has barged into the office.)
Chris Elite: Where is Kennedy?
Heidi Huxley: Ah, Chris… wondered who it was causing a commotion.
Chris Elite: It’s going to be more of a commotion if you don’t tell me where she is.
Heidi Huxley: I may not be Kennedy, but I’m sure you are aware that just like her, I tend not to react to threats. So, if you could lower your voice perhaps, maybe we could talk about this calmly?
(Chris pauses for a moment, taking a breath. After all, he did want a resolution to this mess. Having calmed down, he nods his head.)
Chris Elite: I need to speak with Kennedy, could you tell me where she is please?
(Heidi smiles, happy that the situation had been defused.)
Heidi Huxley: Drake was telling you the truth; Kennedy is indeed in medical. By your reaction to Drake’s response, I’m guessing you didn’t see what happened earlier in the evening, which explains in full why she has more pressing and important matters to deal with.
Chris Elite: What are you talking about?
Heidi Huxley: As I thought. Kennedy was attacked by Ms. Extreme and thus is being attended to by the medical staff.
Chris Elite: Oh… I didn’t know… wasn’t really paying attention, getting ready for my match.
Heidi Huxley: That is obvious. Don’t worry, she will be ok… not sure I can say the same about Ms. Extreme. However, I do have something for you…
Chris Elite: You do?
Heidi Huxley: Yes. Kennedy does share your concerns Chris and is eager for something to be done about it. Thus, she left me a sticky note, and asked me to give it to you.
(Heidi passes him the sticky note, Chris reading it first, before vocalizing it out loud.)

(Heidi smirks, she could hear Kennedy saying the words.)

(Chris looks at the note again, then back to Heidi, his common emotion one of total surprise. With a nod, he holds up the note and then makes for the door, leaving Heidi with Drake.)

(Heidi shrugs it off.)
Heidi Huxley: Don’t worry Drake… everything happened in the way it was supposed to.
(Drake looks confused, and it is focused on that look of confusion that the scene fades to the ring.)

Gavin Kirkland: Last week’s loss to Impact doesn’t seem to have phased him at all this week as he is going towards another one of the best talents the blue brand has to offer and also a former Champion!
Eve: Jack Ripley is never an easy opponent to fight against, Xander will have a good fight on his hand and in the end the fans are going to have a good fight to watch as well!

Eve: Feels like an appropriate response somehow considering Veena’s colorful language. Veena isn’t finding this funny, Kelton rolls his eyes while Ryan is grinning, applauding even before smacking the apron and inciting his partner to get this match going with some encouragement.
Deadprez: Popping his knuckles, Xander finally moves and begins circling Jack who does the same before stopping in the center of the ring and extending a hand to Ripley. A display of showmanship RETURNED BY JACK WHO SMACKS PAYNE IN THE FACE!! AND XANDER KICKS HIM IN THE GUT!! HE TRIES FOR A QUICK MUSCLE BUSTER BUT JACK TURNS IT INTO AN ARMBAR BY FLIPPING THROUGH THE MOVE AND BOTH MEN GOES DOWN!!
Gavin Kirkland: JACK GOES FOR A CROSSFACE VARIANT BUT PAYNE QUICKLY MANAGES TO REACH THE ROPES FOR A ROPE BREAK ORDERED BY THE OFFICIAL!
Eve: Xander rolls to the outside staring at Ripley while holding his arm and Jack suddenly dashes forward trying to connect with Xander with a baseball slide but Payne ducks AND DOGS RIPLEY IN THE MOUTH WHEN HE LANDED ON HIS FEET!
Deadprez: A stiff punch square on the button by Xander who didn’t hold himself at all on that one! The action continues to the outside as Payne throws a chop to Ripley against the security railing!
Gabin Kirkland: Jack moves off the railing and gets ax handled to the back as he moves past Payne, almost falling to his knees and Payne is in pursuit. Kick to the midsection by Jack stopping his opponent BEFORE SMACKING HIS HEAD ON THE APRON!
Eve: Payne rolls inside the ring to interrupt the referee counting and then goes back to the outside AND GETS BLASTED IN THE FAST BY JACK WITH A STRAIGHT RIGHT HAND FOLLOWED BY A FEW KNIFE-EDGED CHOPS!
Deadprez: Xander moves away from Jack but Ripley reaches to him and punches him once again getting Xander to lean against the apron. Jack goes for a strike but Xander blocks it and throws an elbow and then a knee to the gut of Ripley BEFORE SETTING HIM UP FOR A POWERBOMB!!! MY GOD NO NOT AGAINST THE APRON!!!
Gavin Kirkland: RIPLEY GRABS ONTO THE ROPES!! SAVING HIMSELF FROM MASSIVE PAIN AS HE THEN GETS HIS FEET ON THE APRON AND THRUST KICKS PAYNE IN THE FACE! Deadprez: What a move from Ripley and the crowd doesn’t appreciate it! They are booing the man but get completely ignored as he goes for a cover!

Jack back to his feet now kicks Xander to the spine when the man tries to get up, Payne is heading to the ropes trying to hoist himself upward, and throws a blind elbow to Jack that lands!
Gavin Kirkland: If the Golden Niece thinks this match is boring she has every right to think so and let the whole World know too!! Meanwhile, Payne strikes back at Jack this has been a back-and-forth between these two as we wonder who will gain the upper hand early on in this fight! A punch by Jack, an elbow by Xander! A kick by Jack! Followed by an over-the-shoulder arm breaker!
Eve: Payne leaning against a corner, holding his arm before kicking Ripley in the gut to keep him away BUT Jack strikes right back forcing Xander to stay in that corner! Wristlock quickly applied before forcing Payne into a snap mare taking the big man down! Good plan to ground Xander like this by Ripley! Payne however, is showing his body strength as he makes his way back to his feet!

Gavin Kirkland: Xander gets up and moves to grab one of Ripley’s hands, he bends it in an uncomfortable angle he’s trying to break it before whipping Jack into the ropes and he goes to the opposite ones. BLAM!!! SHOTGUN DROPKICK nails Jack down on his back!
Eve: Payne quickly to his feet and into the ropes as well JUMPING ON RIPLEY WITH A SENTON THAT LANDS!!! Jack is holding onto his stomach while Payne appears pleased with his work.
Deadprez: Not done with the work, Payne throws some punches to Jack before forcing him to his feet, HE THEN GOES FOR A FALLAWAY SLAM FOLLOWED WITH A SAMOAN DROP!! DOWN GOES JACK LANDING ON HIS SIDES!!
Gavin Kirkland: Jack is shoved on his stomach by Xander who nearly pounces on him with arms extended forward AND APPLIES THE CROSSFACE!!!! JACK IS IN TROUBLE AS THE CROSSFACE IS APPLIED AND PAYNE IS PULLING BACK HARD!!! HE WANTS JACK TO SUBMIT!!!
Eve: The official is watching Jack, asking him if he wants to give up if he wants to submit! Payne is screaming at Jack to tap and Wilson meanwhile is hitting the apron yelling the same thing but … in French?
Deadprez: Despite all of this, Jack is enduring as he’s trying to reach for the bottom rope that is inches away from him! Xander keeps pulling AND JACK GRABS ON THE ROPE!!! The official orders Payne to let go and he does it reluctantly after a few more seconds. Gavin Kirkland: It always amazed me to see wrestlers be willing to hurt themselves in order to hurt others, right there Jack clutches to the back of his head much like Xander does but he recovers much more quickly, following this attack with a series of feet stomps! Xander is seated on the floor now, his back to the railing as Ripleu quickly hops on the apron AND MISSLE DROPKICKS HIMSELF INTO PAYNE!!!
Eve: The official is telling Jack to bring the match back inside the ring or he will start to count both he and Xander out! Gavin Kirkland: What a win tonight by one-half of Team Dominion against a former World Champion! Xander was looking to score big points ahead of Pain for Pride in Nashville and a win against Jack Ripley is going to be beneficial! Jack had the match won apparently though, You’ll Float Too applied but outside actions and a mistake from Jon Kelton cost him the match!
Deadprez: Jack on his end performed admirably, to the level we could expect from a former World Champion and he had a few good chances to leave with a win tonight but HEY LOOK INSIDE THE RING!!
( The final shot is of Xander and Ryan celebrating as they make their way towards the back while the trio who will fight for the National Elite Championship are fighting inside the ring but officials are quickly rushing in to try and bring order as it cuts to a commercial break. )
( As it comes back from the commercial, Hans Grayson’s entrance theme rips through the speakers of the Mississippi Gulf Coast Coliseum to the delight of the crowd. There are thousands (and thousands) of Graysonites in attendance tonight! He sprints out onto the entrance ramp, hoisting arms in the air and hyping the audience up with his antics. Grayson is a performer, a social media sensation, he knows what gets the people going! As the Canadian competitor makes his way down to the ring we cut over to the commentators desk, who first and foremost note that it’s been six-or-so months since Hans made his debut here in Elite Answers Wrestling. We hear an in-depth conversation about some of what “Fire Heart” has done in that time. Matches with Impact, with Adam Lucas, waging war with names such as Roberto de la Rosa and Veena Adams. In his rookie season, he has shown so much promise and with Pain for Pride around the corner, everyone is curious and optimistic to see what Grayson will do on the grandest stage known in the sport. )
( Scaling to the top turnbuckle, Grayson lifts his arms into the air again and encourages the crowd to cheer for him. His entrance theme begins to die down, with Hans walking over to the opposing side of the ring and gesturing for a microphone from a ringside attendant. The people in Biloxi here simmer down. Once a serene presence falls around the arena, Hans lifts his microphone up in front of his face and begins to address his Graysonites. )
Hans Grayson: I appreciate the love and support emanating from you guys tonight. My tenure in Elite Answers Wrestling so far has been… Mixed. Don’t get me wrong, that isn’t on the company and it sure as hell isn’t on you people. I’ve been given privileged surroundings, but so far I haven’t been able to capitalize on them to the best of my abilities. On the independent scene nobody took me seriously. They thought I was in professional wrestling for the wrong reasons. Sure, I like the fame that comes with the sport. The social media following, the glory and hype of getting in this ring and putting on a match for the ages. But they didn’t see the things that happened when the cameras stopped rolling. I’m in this for my fans, too. I’m not some big-headed guy who treats those that follow him poorly. I love interacting with everyone. Inspiring young boys and young girls to follow their dreams, like I am following my dreams.
Hans Grayson: I’ve put in the work to be where I am today. I put in the work on the independent scene to improve my craft. Those people who never took me seriously, I was outworking them and outshining them and achieving more in a year than they did in ten. Because I was ambitious for it, I was hungry for it. I’d take on a hundred men if it meant getting to be where I am today. I’ve gone viral a couple of times, be that for the right or wrong reasons that isn’t up for me to decide. But I’ve busted my ass and I won’t have people undermine that just because I also happen to have a big following on social media. They know about some of the fights I’ve been in back in Canada. Some of the things I’ve done against Bob Sparks, Arrow Thunderman and men like that. I earned my contract to be in Elite Answers Wrestling today… But that success on the independent scenes hasn’t translated over to the big time so far.

Hans Grayson: Which, don’t get me wrong, was to be expected. There’s such a gulf in skill between the independents and this promotion. This is where the best around the globe come to fight and it’s the promotion that those little boys and girls dream of joining someday. The same goes for me I mean, I was watching names like Chris Elite and Impact when I was in my teenage years. When I was still in middle school. I wasn’t expecting to go from fighting part-time talent and people starting out just like me, to beating former champions of the world. Men who have fought at the pinnacle of this sport. It’s been a learning curve, I don’t think I’ve done too badly but I think I could do better. With Pain for Pride around the corner, there’s no better time for me to turn that new leaf, open that new chapter and show how far I’ve come.
Hans Grayson: In the opportunities I’ve had to win gold, I’ve come so close — yet, at the same time it seemed so far away. At times I’ve been inches, literal inches from securing a pinfall that’d change my career trajectory just like that. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not out here angling to say I was cheated out of the Grand Rampage match or whatever, I know my failures to capture that gold and have it around my waist falls entirely on me. My lack of experience, an adjustment period going between the independent scene and the big league. I know it’ll come with time because top, top names in this business have told me so. I trust them. I trust that I’m putting the grind in now and in the future it’ll pay off in dividends. But with that being said…
Hans Grayson: … I didn’t appreciate what Caroline did last week. Then, she went on Dynasty last night and kept running her mouth. But, that mouth is writing a check that her ass can’t cash. The Major is a man who put everything on the line for his country. He defended his nation in foreign land, so that people like Caroline could sleep well at night knowing that the troops were overseas, fighting for their rights and fighting for their people. How does she repay that? How does she repay a man who protected the lives and the rights of millions and millions of people? By beating him down post-match, by looking to break his legs when the match was finished and her title was retained. She could’ve just walked up the ramp, but no, she felt she had to make a point and crossed the line by some distance in attacking The Major post-match.
( The Mississippi faithful boo and jeer the mention of Caroline’s name. She’s a witch in their eyes and attacking a veteran in Michael Scott last week was heinous in their eyes. A somewhat insensitive chant breaks out about Caroline — so insensitive that I daren’t type it up! Hans simply smirks and waits for the chant to die down before he continues to speak. )
Hans Grayson: Caroline, I didn’t get involved in your attack last week because I’m angling for a shot at your championship. I did it because it was the right thing to do. It wasn’t necessary and you crossed a line. You can stick your nose up at me, you can say I’m beneath you and that I don’t warrant a chance at the New Breed Championship, but I know the level I’m at. I know I could give you a real, raw challenge and no offence to The Major, but in our battles I’ve shown that I am a step above him in the ring. You can say you’re offended, you can act high-and-mighty but it’s not up to you. It’s up to management. It’s up to these people who I’m sure would love to see me take that New Breed Championship from your grasp. Because I know what I’m capable of and what I am capable of is beating you.
Hans Grayson: So I do want you, Caroline. I want to face you at Pain for Pride in Nashville, Tennessee and I want to beat you. I want to hold that New Breed Championship because I’ve been putting the work in, and sure. I recognise you’ve held that belt for some time now. You’ve racked up three defenses against notable talent. You’re on a roll, this is the highest point you’ve been at in your career and I know it won’t be an easy fight for me. But I’m staking my claim. I’m challenging you, one-on-one, at Pain for Pride. So that I can get some payback for The Major. But also so I can fulfill my destiny and showcase why I am the future of this company.

Deadprez: The 2023 Grand Rampage is underway as Kass immediately rushes out of the corner and puts Erobneto in place, wasting no time. She starts raining down big stomps on Roberto, not allowing him to stay alive or defend himself at the beginning of the match! Kass grabs Roberto’s head and forcefully slams his face down to the middle of the corner turnbuckle! Kass is going ballistic right away, not giving Roberto any respite, with La Familia watching in horror at Kassidy’s brutality!
Gavin Kirkland: Kass looks back at Roberto while the referee tries to reprimand her, counting up to four as Kass releases Roberto just in time. She picks Roberto up off the ground and slams him back into the corner, unleashing a flurry of merciless stomps, looked to prevent Roberto from realizing his potential right here!
Eve: Roberto’s body is in agony, and everything feels like nothing more than a pain in his ass. All he’s been doing is absorbing damage, like a punching bag, but Kass isn’t going to waste more time treating him like that! She grabs Roberto and sends him out of the corner, tossing him all the way to the opposite side of the ring! Roberto’s face crashes hard onto the top corner before his entire body automatically goes over the ropes, leaving him lying outside while La Familia tries to attend to him.
Deadprez: Kass starts walking towards where Roberto is positioned, and Roberto grabs the middle rope, using it to help himself get back inside the ring. Kass walks in and pulls his hair, forcing him to reenter. She gives a quick glance to La Familia, who likely know better than to mess with her, but they try not to show fear as two of Roberto’s cousins stand by, prepared for whatever Kass is about to bring. Kass simply smiles at them and turns her attention back to the match, while Roberto continues his struggle to regain his footing.
Gavin Kirkland: Kass then grabs Roberto and lifts him back to his feet, going behind him and FORCEFULLY DROPPING ROBERTO TO THE GROUND WITH A SNAP GERMAN SUPLEX! Roberto isn’t lying down for long, but he ends up with a painful crash and burn on the ring mat, while Kass rolls back onto her feet and now heads towards the struggling Roberto. Kass quickly picks up Roberto and sends him towards the ropes, attempting a precise kick aimed at a running Roberto, but Roberto rolls underneath, narrowly evading Kass’s strike! He maneuvers away from danger, creating a momentary respite. Kass redirects her focus back to Roberto, ready for whatever he has in store…..
Gavin Kirkland: A RUNNING BIG BOOT BY ROBERTO TO KASS!-
Eve: WHOA! KASS DOESN’T HESITATE TO FIGHT AGAINST ROBERTO AT ALL AFTER THE BOOT! SHE QUICKLY FOLLOWS UP BY CONNECTING A HARD RIGHT FIST RIGHT ACROSS HIS JAW, NEARLY KNOCKING ROBERTO DOWN TO THE GROUND, BUT HE MANAGES TO STAY ON BOTH KNEES! KASS PUSHES ROBERTO DOWN TO THE GROUND AND NOW STARTS RAINING PUNCHES AT HIM, DETERMINED NOT TO LET ROBERTO GET AWAY THAT EASILY!
Deadprez: Kass regains her footing and grabs Roberto, driving a knee into his gut to slow him down! She then takes him into the corner by tossing him, swiftly running down and following up with a powerful corner-running European Uppercut, knocking Roberto down into a seated position! Roberto takes a heavy hit from Kass’s strike, but she doesn’t stop there. She picks up Roberto and connects with a stiff forearm smash, keeping him in place!
Eve: Kass shakes her head once again and now picks Roberto back up to his feet, forcefully driving him into the opposite corner. Roberto ends up crashing his face into the middle turnbuckle this time before rolling down onto the outside to recover. Kass notices this and starts to get annoyed. She rolls out of the ring, following Roberto’s location with La Familia watching closely. Kass then picks up Robertoand tosses him back into the ring.
Gavin Kirkland: :lupe: It seems La Familia is quite concerned about Roberto… and look, one of them is already getting involved! Roberto manages to pull the referee in an attempt to create a distraction while Diego, one of Roberto’s cousins, pulls on Kass’s leg., Kass quickly drops down from the apron to the ground and engages in a fight with Diego.
Gavin Kirkland: Kass immediately gains the upper hand, GRABBING DIEGO AND THROWING HIM INTO THE BARRICADE! KASS THEN GRABS DIEGO ONCE AGAIN, LIFTING HIM ONTO HER SHOULDER AND DRIVING HIS FACE INTO THE RING POST!
Eve: Here comes Javier, sneaking up from behind and attempting to lock Kass in a sleeper hold, but Kass slams him down to the ground, causing his back to crash onto the concrete floor! Kass isn’t done yet, as SHE GRABS THE BACK OF HIS HEAD AND HURLS IT INTO THE CROWD’S BARRICADE! KASS SHOWS THAT SHE WON’T TOLERATE ANY INTERFERENCE BY VICIOUSLY STOMPING DIRECTLY AT HIS HEAD, MAKING IT CLEAR THAT SHE IS NOT ONE TO BE MESSED WITH BY THESE PEOPLE, WHO ARE BENEATH HER!
( Kass stops and is about to get back into the ring. Then she notices that there is one more person standing there and watching the laughter of her cousin caused by Kassidy Heart. Kass turns around and sees Esmeralda De La Rosa just standing there and trying to tell Kass that she’s coming with good intentions. )

Kass is being handled by Roberto at the moment, with Roberto basking in his spotlight right now!
Gavin Kirkland: The crowd is eagerly waiting to see what Roberto will do next after taking her down with a Saito Suplex! Roberto now arouses the crowd before he starts warming up, while Kass is still trying to recover from the Saito Suplex…. Kass isn’t going to stop, relentlessly targeting Roberto’s skull with those elbow strikes over and over again!
Gavin Kirkland: The referee doesn’t see anything good over there and is about to step in and try to stop Kass from continuing, but Kass isn’t letting that happen right away either. She quickly picks Roberto off the ground, CLAPS BOTH EARS, AND THEN GOES BEHIND HIM, CONNECTING WITH A DRAGON SUPLEX! KASS ISN’T LETTING ROBERTO OFF THE HOOK EASILY. SHE PICKS HIM OFF THE GROUND AGAIN, BUT THIS TIME SHE CHANGES THINGS UP! SHE GRABS HIM, JUMPS OVER AND TURNS HIM INTO ‘THE SHINING’ FLYING TRIANGLE CHOKE ON ROBERTO! ROBERTO IS LOCKED IN! Eve: The Godfather of AEW is in the worst possible position that couldn’t end well for him any time soon, but one of his cousins is back. Diego is here again! Diego slides down the apron, trying to call the referee down here to create a distraction! Kass quickly releases Roberto out of the hold, going down to the outside of the ring as Diego tries to fight back. but Kass ducks under his arm, lifting him off the ground but this time dropping his back hard on the apron!
Deadprez: Kass knows that these people are going to annoy her more, but she’s going to put an end to them here. She grabs Diego and tosses him into the ring. Roberto tries to come back and make a save, but Kass quickly runs in and pushes Roberto away before delivering a powerful Dropkick right into his face! That could break his nose! What kind of Dropkick is that?!
Gavin Kirkland: You know that’s Kassidy and her strength is beyond any elitists around here! She’s such a strong woman and also a mother. Now Kass grabs Roberto and has him lying down in front of his cousins while Roberto tries to help him. Oh, I think I see what’s going to happen here! Kass is going to create a dramatic scene for Roberto to cry about it!
( Roberto tries to crawl down to make a save for Diego, but Kass stops by kicking Roberto’s face away. She starts pressing the back of Diego’s neck while Roberto yells in fury, trying to make a save no matter how hurt he is right now. )

They look at Diego together, also shocked. Esmeralda falls down to her knees and can’t really believe it, while Roberto starts crawling down to Diego in a hurry. He picks him up and starts tapping his way in huge worry. )

Eve: What a way to victory! Kassidy has displayed her sheer brutality in this match once again. She continues to establish herself as the rightful winner of the 2023 Grand Rampage, reaffirming to Roberto and everyone else that underestimating her is a grave mistake.
Deadprez: Hey look, what’s going on here? She is staring at those pictures.
( As the camera pans to Kassidy, confusedly looking up at the fliers, “Partition (Smearcase Trap Remix)” by Beyoncé starts playing as the angry as hell Kassidy gets up gritting her teeth and grabbing one of the fliers dropped from the ceiling with along many in the crowd.)
Gavin Kirkland: WHO DOES THIS?????
Eve: It must be none other than Dr. Bethany Blue who has done this!
Gavin Kirkland: Kassidy Heart is as mad as a hornet about whatever is being displayed there! She grabs Roberto, who is about to leave, and throws him to the barricade like a rag doll! She seizes his arm and tries to crack his skull by beating it against the steel steps like a broken record! Kass is definitely not a happy camper!
( Kass gazes up at the picture once more, shaking her head in dismay, and storms off to the back with frustration, as officials try to calm her down, but she is determined to uncover the culprit behind this as the scene then transitions abruptly to medical backstage. )
(Kennedy is sitting on the edge of a hospital bed, being checked out by the medical staff having been attacked by Ms. Extreme earlier in the night. A Doctor shines a light in her eyes, checking that Kennedy doesn’t have any obvious signs of concussion, an ankle injury or her chest caved in, Kennedy herself eager to get back to the show. Having been laid out by Ms. Extreme her emotions are high, not from the pain, but from the audacity that someone would dare attack her in this way. She squints from the light, and even bats the Doctors hand away as she starts to get more and more frustrated.)
Kennedy Street: Look Honey, Kennie is made of strong stuff. You’d be better advised to prepare for what happens to her after this.
Doctor: I have to do my job Ms. Street
Kennedy Street: Yes, and I should be out there doing mine. Whilst plotting how much suffering I’m going to put her through.
Doctor: We’re nearly through Ms. Street, if you would just follow the light.
Kennedy Street: This isn’t Poltergeist honey
Doctor: I see you still have your sense of humor. That’s good.
Kennedy Street: Like I said, I’m OK.
(At that point, Lexi walks in, and straight up to Kennedy who looks surprised to see her, even more so up close. She most certainly isn’t in the mood for this, and almost tries to ignore that she is even there.)
Lexi: Ms. Street, I’m so glad I found you.
Kennedy Street: Really? Wish I shared the same sentiments.
Lexi: I’ll only be quick
Kennedy Street: You sound like many of my boyfriend’s honey.
Lexi: Look at you, can’t blame them.
Kennedy Street: That’s true…
(Kennedy is obviously annoyed, still so very bitter by the attack and eager to set the wheel in motion for her revenge. Lexi isn’t relenting though.)
Lexi: I’d like to talk about the future. My…
(Kennedy has had enough and interrupts, snapping at Lexi who takes a step back.)
Kennedy Street: I don’t have time for this honey. Can’t you see that I am injured? Severely so in fact. Someone less flawless would be at death’s door.
(The Doctor looks at her, Kennedy shrugging him off. Even though she had told him that she was ok, all she wanted now was for Lexi to get out of her face. There is a momentary hesitation, until Lexi responds, as tactfully as she can.)
Lexi: I get it Ms. Street, seriously I do. I know what it is like for someone to take liberties with you, and how much you want to return the favor. But you are the General Manager of Showdown, and so you are the person I come to when I want something meaningful for Pain for Pride, and not another 24/7 Battle Royal Appearance. I’ve come on leaps and bounds over the past few months, and I think I have earned it.
Kennedy Street: You do Huh?
(Lexi nods, happy that it seemed that Kennedy was taking her seriously, even in her current state.)
Lexi: I do, and I would be more than grateful for an opportunity to make my mark at Pain for Pride.
(Kennedy takes the deepest of breaths, Lexi eager for the response.)
Kennedy Street: Look Lexi, being honest with you honey, you suck.
(Lexi’s face immediately drops.)
Kennedy Street: You never win, not ever, so why do you think you can step up to me and make requests? When you’ve not earned a damn thing. I’ll tell you what, I’ll give you some solid advice. Just be glad you have a job and leave me alone. Or… you may be looking for gainful employment prior to Pain for Pride. Do you understand me?
Lexi: That’s just rude.
Kennedy Street: Yeah, well that’s life. If you don’t like it, there’s the door.
(Lexi’s emotions turn to anger, and for a moment the old Lexi comes back to the fore.)
Lexi: No, that’s not good enough, I deserve something… anything.
Kennedy Street: Like what?
Lexi: A title shot, that would do for starters.
(For a moment, Kennedy just digests what she is being told, then a smirk forms on her face. Following that is a full-on laugh, which becomes too much as she winces in pain. Kennedy looks at Lexi, fully blaming her for the agony that she is in, but all she wants now is rid of this pesky little gnat.)
Kennedy Street: FINE!!!
(Lexi, her emotions almost making her tear up, suddenly has a shred of hope to cling to.)
Kennedy Street: If you go away right now, I will make you Showdown’s representative in the Number one contender’s tri-brand match for the Specialists Championship Contendership.
(Lexi’s eyes widened, she LOVED that idea.)
Lexi: You will? You’re not joking?
Kennedy Street: Leave… before I change my mind!
(Lexi bounces on the spot, clapping her hands, before going to give Kennedy a hug.)
Kennedy Street: Don’t you DARE honey. Do NOT touch me.
(Lexi backs away, but claps her hands again, heading out the medical room with the biggest of smiles on her face.)
Kennedy Street: Sometimes, I hate this job.
(She winces again, as the Doctor prods a particularly tender spot, the scene cutting away to a commercial break.)
(The camera returns to the ring for the final time tonight where Gina Romano is standing in the middle of the ring ready to make the introductions for the final match of the night.)
Gina Romano: Ladies and gentlemen! The following contest has a THIRTY MINUTE TIME LIMIT! and it is scheduled for ONE FALL!!
Crowd: ONE FALL!
(“M3tamorphosis” by Playboi Carti ft. Kid Cudi starts to play as Impact enters the arena to a negative reaction from the crowd. He could care less about what the crowd thinks of him at the moment as he heads right to the ring.)
Gina Romano: Introducing first and making his way to the ring! From Seattle, Washington! Weighing in at 221 pounds! Here is “THE QUINTESSENTIAL CHAMPION” IMPACT!
Deadprez: Here comes the Hall of Famer! He said that we don’t need to worry about him and he will without a doubt find his way onto the Pain for Pride card. He was off to a good start last week.
Eve: That’s right! Last week, Impact defeated fellow Hall of Famer Xander Payne in an amazing match up, but what happened afterwards is why this match came about for tonight.
Gavin Kirkland: Impact tried to make a bigger statement with a steel chair, but Ryan Joseph Wilson came into the ring and put the kibosh on that. Impact didn’t appreciate that and he is looking to put his opponent in his place tonight, but his opponent is not a pushover by any means.
(Impact enters the ring and takes his corner as his entrance music fades off. The arena is only in silence for a quick second before “The Only Thing They Fear is YOU” from Mick Gordon starts to play as Ryan Joseph Wilson enters the arena followed behind by his tag team partner Xander Payne. The crowd starts to cheer as the duo heads to the ring.)
Gina Romano: Introducing his opponent! Representing DOMINION and accompanied to the ring by Xander Payne. From Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Weighing in at 220 pounds! Here is RYAN… JOSEPH… WILSON!
Gavin Kirkland: Here comes the opposition and Ryan can’t exactly be in the best of moods, especially after what happened last week with Impact trying to attack his tag team partner.
Eve: Not only that, the Unified Tag Champs POTARA were watching the match. It doesn’t necessarily brighten their moods when they lose in front of the champions. Especially when there is a lot at stake at Pain for Pride for DOMINION!
Deadprez: Either DOMINION becomes Tag Champions or Ryan Wilson does not come back to Showdown. Ryan has all the capabilities in the world of winning this match tonight, getting some retribution for Xander, and getting some momentum for Pain for Pride. Will Ryan get the job done tonight in this main event match or will Impact go two for two against DOMINION? We are about to find out.
(Ryan enters the ring as Xander takes his spot at ringside before Ryan’s music fades off. The referee then checks both competitors before they call for the bell.)
(DING! DING! DING!)
Deadprez: Here we go! Main event is underway. Both competitors go to lock up and we are met with a stalemate early on, but Impact is starting to gain the advantage and starts to muscle Ryan over, but Ryan is trying to fight back. Impact manages to muscle Ryan over to the ropes.
Gavin Kirkland: The referee is asking for a clean break, which Ryan obliges. Impact also breaks clean, BUT HE TRIES TO THROW A CHEAP SHOT BUT RYAN GOT OUT OF THE WAY! Impact is not playing games tonight. He wants to finish Ryan off as quickly and as painfully as possible.
Eve: Ryan turns Impact around and goes for a forearm, BUT IMPACT BLOCKS IT AND COUNTERS WITH A FOREARM OF HIS OWN! Ryan is staggered back and Impact continues firing forearms until Ryan is backed into the ropes. Impact reaches his hand out–
Gavin Kirkland: IMPACT WITH THE KNIFE EDGE CHOP ACROSS RYAN’S CHEST! HOLY MOLY! Impact has one of the most effective chops in the business and the referee is forcing him to get Ryan off the ropes.
Deadprez: Impact gets Ryan off the ropes and whips him to the corner. Impact quickly follows up WITH A SPLASH IN THE CORNER! Impact keeps Ryan up and pushes his head back–
Eve: IMPACT WITH ANOTHER KNIFE EDGE CHOP! First he got the left side and now he has the right side. Ryan leaned back one more time AND NOW IMPACT WITH A KNIFE EDGE CHOP RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE!
Deadprez: That was only one chop on each side and Ryan has already started to bruise. That was just the chops. Imagine what damage the rest of his arsenal can do when Impact puts his mind to it.
Eve: Impact pulls Ryan out of the corner with a face lock AND SNAPS HIM OVER WITH THE SUPLEX! Ryan is down and Impact hits the ropes before coming back AND CATCHING RYAN WITH THE LEG DROP ACROSS THE THROAT!
Gavin Kirkland: Impact has that no mercy and no prisoner mentality and that could be a lot of trouble for Ryan if he can’t get out of the gates of this match. Right now, Impact has had full control of this match since the bell rang. Impact goes to hit the ropes one more time
(As soon as Impact gets back to his feet and hits the ropes, Xander hops onto the apron. He is on his knees as he is looking to strike.)
Deadprez: WHAT IN THE WORLD IS XANDER PAYNE DOING? The referee doesn’t see Xander on the apron, which is a surprise in itself.
Gavin Kirkland: OHHHHHHHH! So you can make fat jokes and I can’t. You’re being a hypocrite.
Deadprez: NO, GAVIN! I mean that because it was blatant and not sneaky. Don’t start that stuff, Gavin. Impact is about to be blindsided–
Ryan Joseph Wilson: (off-mic) Xander, no! Don’t do it.
Xander Payne: (off-mic) Why not?
Ryan Joseph Wilson: (off-mic) Not like this.
Xander Payne: (off-mic) OK. Fine!
(Xander quickly slides off the apron before the referee can catch him up there and throw him out.)
Eve: Well that is a shocker right there. Xander was looking to give Impact a cheap shot of his own, but Ryan asked him not to do it and Xander willingly agreed. Ryan manages to get on his knees during the discussion.
Gavin Kirkland: But that might have cost Ryan in the long run as Impact hits the ropes AND DRIVES HIS KNEE IN RYAN’S FACE! RYAN FALLS BACK AND HOLDS HIS NOSE IN PAIN AS IMPACT QUICKLY GOES FOR THE COVER!

Deadprez: RYAN GETS THE SHOULDER UP AT TWO! Impact mounts Ryan AND JUST FIRES LEFTS AND RIGHTS IN RYAN’S FACE! The referee is admonishing Impact again as Ryan tries to block those punches.
Eve: Impact opens the fists on four before getting off of Ryan and pulling him back to his feet. Impact whips Ryan to the ropes. Ryan comes back and IMPACT PICKS HIM UP FOR A TILT A WHIRL BACKBREAKER–
Deadprez: RYAN MANAGED TO ESCAPE AND WRAP UP IMPACT’S ARM AND COUNTER WITH THAT MODIFIED LUCHA STYLE ARM DRAG! Impact was sent for the ride right there. Impact gets back to his feet and comes right for Ryan and RYAN TAKES HIM DOWN A HIP TOSS!
Eve: Ryan now starting to get into this match as Impact once again gets back to his feet and charges Ryan, BUT RYAN GRABS IMPACT AND TAKES HIM DOWN WITH A BELLY TO BELLY SUPLEX!
Gavin Kirkland: Impact is down and Xander is cheering from ringside as Ryan is starting to get into this match with that flurry of offense. Impact is trying to get back to his feet as Ryan hits the ropes.
Deadprez: Ryan comes back as Impact rolls to his knees AND RYAN JUMPS AND GETS SOME AIR TIME BEFORE HITTING THE LEG DROP ACROSS THE BACK OF IMPACT’S NECK! Impact’s face was planted into the mat as well.
Gavin Kirkland: But Ryan doesn’t go for the cover because he was watching last week’s match very closely. He knows he wouldn’t get the win there, so Ryan stays on his offense by pulling Impact to his knees.
Eve: Ryan butterflies both of Impact’s arms BEFORE TAKING HIM DOWN TO THE MAT AGAIN WITH THAT DOUBLE ARMED SUPLEX! BUT RYAN STILL HAS THE ARMS LOCKED! Ryan is looking to hit another double armed suplex–
Gavin Kirkland: IMPACT GOT FREE AND LANDS BEHIND RYAN! Ryan doesn’t get a chance to turn around AS IMPACT COUNTERS WITH A HEADBUTT TO THE BACK OF THE NECK! RIGHT AT THE BASE OF THE SKULL AND RYAN GOES DOWN!
Deadprez: Ryan fell like stone after that. That was a dangerous move right there. Impact has no issue causing maximum damage with his arsenal of moves as Impact rolls Ryan over and hooks the leg for the cover.

Eve: RYAN KICKS OUT AT TWO! Give it up to Ryan Joseph Wilson. Even when he is not the odds on favorite in this match, he is fighting his heart out. But right now, Impact is just keeping Ryan neutralized and minimizing any offense that Ryan could get.
Deadprez: Ryan needs to find a way to break free of Impact’s assault or Impact will take down DOMINION in two straight matches in two straight weeks. Right now, Impact is looking to slow this match down with that neck wrench.
Eve: It’s causing even more damage because Ryan was still down after the headbutt and Ryan is just being pulled back in a very horrible torque. The referee is checking to see if Ryan wants to give it up.
Gavin Kirkland: That’s not going to happen. Nobody around here wants to give up unless they absolutely have to. We can also hear Xander trying to will Ryan on and even the crowd is trying to get Ryan back into this match.
Deadprez: Ryan Joseph Wilson won’t necessarily be the most popular member of the Showdown roster and the same can go for Xander Payne, but their allegiance with Ms. Extreme has certainly helped the crowd see DOMINION in a different light.
Gavin Kirkland: This newfound crowd support must be working because RYAN IS FIGHTING BACK! RYAN IS TRYING TO GET BACK TO HIS FEET! Impact is trying to keep Ryan down, BUT RYAN HAS MADE IT BACK TO HIS FEET–
Eve: RYAN WITH THE ELBOWS TO THE GUT AND RYAN FINALLY GETS FREE OF THE HOLD! Ryan quickly turns around AND THROWS A RIGHT HAND THAT STAGGERS IMPACT BACK! Impact tries to fire off a right hand, but Ryan ducks it.
Gavin Kirkland: Ryan lifts him up AND COUNTERS WITH THE INVERTED ATOMIC DROP! RIGHT ACROSS THE KNEE! That was not a great landing for the Hall of Famer and Ryan turns Impact around and lifts him up again.
Deadprez: NOW RYAN HITS IMPACT WITH THE STANDARD ATOMIC DROP! Ugly landing twice in one match, but Ryan takes advantage of the situation by grabbing Impact’s head AND PLANTS HIM WITH A RUNNING BULLDOG AND IMPACT KISSES THE CANVAS!
Eve: There we go! Ryan is starting to build up that momentum again as he drops down and rolls Impact over and hooks the leg for his first cover of the match.

Deadprez: IMPACT KICKS OUT AT TWO AND ALMOST THROWS RYAN OFF OF HIM! Ryan quickly shoves Impact down and mounts him now. RYAN IS THROWING THOSE MMA STYLE PUNCHES IN IMPACT’S FACE!
Eve: Ryan is trying to break any blocking defense that Impact is trying to do and try to cause some good damage, but he might not get the chance because the referee has started counting and Ryan stops the punching on four.
Gavin Kirkland: Ryan gets back to his feet and he keeps a boot on Impact so he can keep him in place SO HE CAN DROP THE ELBOW! RYAN WENT FOR AN ELBOW DROP BUT IMPACT MANAGES TO STILL ROLL OUT OF THE WAY AND RYAN’S ELBOW MEETS THE CANVAS!
Deadprez: The point landed hard and IMPACT WITH A DROPKICK THAT SENDS RYAN HEAD OVER HEELS TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE RING! Just like that, Impact takes control right back in this match.
Gavin Kirkland: That’s why Impact is highly regarded as one of the best in the business. He might not have the best attitude according to some people but he knows exactly what he needs to do in order to be successful.
Eve: I don’t like the way it came around, but I do agree. He isn’t a ten time World Champion for nothing. Right now, Impact is back by the ropes where Ryan is BEFORE SPRINGING TO THE MIDDLE ROPE BEFORE DROPPING HIS KNEE!
Gavin Kirkland: That knee went right in the middle of Ryan’s spine and that halts any recovery that Ryan was trying to muster. Ryan is still down by the ropes as IMPACT HEADS FULL SPEED TO RYAN WITH A BASEBALL SLIDE DROPKICK—
Deadprez: RYAN WAS ABLE TO KIP UP AT THE LAST SECOND AND HE AVOIDED THE DROPKICK WITH ALMOST SOMETHING FROM THE MATRIX! WHAT A COUNTER FROM RYAN JOSEPH WILSON!
Eve: Not only that, Impact slid right under the bottom rope and right to the floor! Impact doesn’t land well as he tries to make it back to his feet, BUT HERE COMES XANDER PAYNE! XANDER IS TRYING TO MAKE HIS PRESENCE FELT ONCE AGAIN IN THIS MATCH!
Deadprez: Impact turns around and locks eyes with Xander and Xander doesn’t look like he his going to do anything, BUT I WAS MISTAKEN AS IT LOOKS LIKE XANDER TRIES TO GO FOR A CLOTHESLINE—
Eve: But he stops in his tracks and immediately points to the ring. Impact decides to turn his attention to the ring—
Gavin Kirkland: AND HE IS MET WITH A SUICIDE DIVE BEFORE IT TRANSITIONS INTO A TORNADO DDT FROM RYAN JOSEPH WILSON! IMPACT’S HEAD WAS SPIKED RIGHT ON THE OUTSIDE FLOOR! WHAT A MOVE!
(The crowd cheers for Ryan after that move on Impact, but then he turns his attention back to his tag team partner, Xander Payne.)
Ryan Joseph Wilson: (off-mic) Xander. Don’t try to interfere. I mean it.
Xander Payne: (off-mic) I haven’t interfered.
Ryan Joseph Wilson: (off-mic) Even if you are trying to fake him out, just don’t interfere.
Xander Payne: (off-mic) *sighs* Fine.
Deadprez: It’s safe to say that Ryan was very serious about what he said earlier in the match. He no doubt appreciates the effort, but he is serious. He does not want Xander to interfere at all and Xander understands. He has agreed to stay out of the match.
Gavin Kirkland: Let’s see if that comes back to bite him on the butt. It wouldn’t hurt Ryan if had a little extra help if he wants to win this match. I don’t know if he can defeat Impact on his own.
Eve: GAVIN! What is wrong with you? Can you quit? Anyways, Ryan goes back to Impact who still hasn’t moved much since the DDT and brings him back to his feet and rolls him back into the ring.
Gavin Kirkland: First off, there is nothing wrong with me. I was just calling it as I saw it. Second, Ryan has not entered the ring, but instead he climbs his way up to the top rope. High rent district for Ryan Joseph Wilson.
Deadprez: High flying isn’t exactly his style, but it could work. Impact hasn’t moved after being rolled back into the ring AND RYAN JUMPS FROM THE TOP ROPE!
Eve: RYAN WITH THE FROG SPLASH THAT LANDS RIGHT ON THE MONEY! IMPACT TOOK ALL OF THAT MOVE AS RYAN HOOKS THE LEG FOR THE COVER!

Eve: It certainly has! Ryan has given more of a fight then I believe Impact even thought he was going to give, but there is still plenty of match left as Ryan brings Impact to his feet–
Gavin Kirkland: IMPACT DROPS TO HIS KNEES AND COUNTERS WITH A JAWBREAKER THAT STAGGERS RYAN BACK! Impact stays on the attack AND CLOBBERS RYAN DOWN WITH A CLOTHESLINE!
Deadprez: Ryan is down on the mat and Impact grabs his arms and butterflies them. Impact brings Ryan back to his feet before LIFTING HIM UP IN THE AIR AND PLANTS HIM WITH THE BACKBREAKER!
Gavin Kirkland: More damage being done to Ryan’s back as HE PULLS RYAN UP BY THE BEARD! Even though it’s amusing to watch, it definitely doesn’t feel good. Ryan is back to his feet–
Eve: AND IMPACT GRABS HIS NECK AND PLANTS HIM WITH THE RUNNING BULLDOG! Impact is causing as much damage as he possibly can and he is having so much fun while doing it.
Gavin Kirkland: Now Impact exits the ring and is on the apron as he calls for Ryan to get back to his feet.
Deadprez: Ryan has finally made it back to his feet AND IMPACT SPRINGS UP TO THE TOP ROPE AND HE DELIVERS A SPRINGBOARD DROPKICK AND THAT CATCHES RYAN RIGHT IN THE FACE!
Eve: That dropkick sends Ryan tumbling halfway across the ring with the force of the dropkick and Impact goes right back to Ryan and brings him back to his feet AND RYAN OUT OF NOWHERE WITH THE UPPERCUT QUÉBÉCOIS!
Deadprez: European uppercut by Ryan Joseph Wilson sends Impact to the ropes. Ryan goes to whip Impact to the ropes, but Impact counters and it is Ryan Joseph Wilson going for the ride.
Eve: But Ryan catches himself and handsprings to the ropes before he does more handsprings back to Impact as he goes for a headscissor takeover—
Gavin Kirkland: IMPACT CAUGHT RYAN’S LEGS IN THE MIDDLE OF A HANDSPRING AND ADJUSTS HIMSELF INTO A BOSTON CRAB
Deadprez: THAT’S NOT A BOSTON CRAB, GAVIN! THAT’S HIS VERSION OF THE LIONTAMER! “WALLS OF IMPACT” BY IMPACT! THE KNEE IS RIGHT IN THE BACK OF RYAN’S SKULL!
Gavin Kirkland: THE SUBMISSION IS APPLIED AND RYAN NEEDS TO THINK OF A WAY TO GET FREE OF THIS MOVE OR THIS MATCH WILL BE OVER!
Eve: THE BACK DAMAGE FROM EARLIER COMING BACK TO HAUNT RYAN WILSON AS HE IS NOWHERE NEAR THE ROPES!
Deadprez: XANDER PAYNE IS POUNDING THE CRAP OUT OF THAT RING APRON TRYING TO HELP RYAN GET FREE OF THE SUBMISSION TO KEEP HIS CHANCES ALIVE IN THIS MATCH!
Eve: This would have been a perfect opportunity for Xander to get involved in this match, but he is respecting Ryan’s wishes and keeping out of the match. Ryan wants to leave nothing to doubt when he beats Impact.
Gavin Kirkland: THE REFEREE IS ASKING IF RYAN WANTS TO GIVE UP THIS MATCH, BUT WE CAN HEAR THAT RYAN SCREAMING NO! IT MIGHT BE ALL FOR NOTHING IF HE CAN’T FREE OF THE SUBMISSION!
Deadprez: LOOK AT RYAN! RYAN SOMEHOW RYAN IS ABLE TO GET HIS HEAD FREE AND ROLL ONTO HIS BACK BEFORE HE KICKS IMPACT AWAY AND HE GETS FREE! XANDER LET OUT A BREATH OF RELIEF AFTER THAT ONE!
Gavin Kirkland: Impact hits the ropes and comes right back to reapply the submission, BUT RYAN GRABS HIS HEAD AND ROLLS HIM OVER! INSIDE CRADLE BY RYAN JOSEPH WILSON! IS HE GONNA STEAL IT HERE!

Eve: OH THAT WAS CLOSE! WHAT A NEAR FALL AND RYAN ALMOST GOT THE WIN THERE! Impact is back to his feet first because Ryan is still feeling the effects of that Walls of Impact submission.
Gavin Kirkland: So Ryan decides it might be more effective to back away to the ropes and try to create some breathing room, but Impact is on the attack and he wants to finish Ryan off once and for all.
Deadprez: Impact goes for Ryan, BUT RYAN WITH A DROP TOE HOLD THAT SENDS IMPACT THROAT FIRST INTO THE MIDDLE ROPE! THAT MIGHT HAVE BEEN A DESPERATION MOVE THERE!
Eve: But it worked out because it bought Ryan enough time to get back to his feet and get a little time to breathe, but Impact is back up and he goes right for Ryan.
Deadprez: HOLY CRAP! IMPACT THREW THAT RIGHT HAND WITH SUCH SPEED THAT I ALMOST DIDN’T SEE IT! IMPACT IS GOING FOR THE KO RIGHT HOOK! “FIST OF FURY” FROM IMPACT–
Eve: RYAN DUCKED OR FELL OUT OF THE WAY AT THE VERY LAST SECOND, BUT HE MANAGED TO AVOID THE KO BLOW, BUT NOW RYAN GRABS IMPACT AND NOW IMPACT IS IN THE AIR–
Deadprez: RYAN MANAGES TO PULL OFF THE “CHEMIN DE CROIX”! RYAN GOT THE CRUCIFIX POWERBOMB ON IMPACT, BUT HE FALLS TO THE MAT AS HE HOLDS HIS BACK IN PAIN!
Gavin Kirkland: COME ON, RYAN! THIS MIGHT BE YOUR LAST CHANCE TO WIN THIS MATCH! GET THE COVER! GET THE COVER!
Deadprez: Remember that Ryan spent A LOT of time in that “Walls of Impact ” and the pain in his back is certainly creeping up on him now, but he finally makes it over to Impact and goes for the cover!

Eve: IMPACT WAS ABLE TO KICK OUT! THAT WAS VERY CLOSE! THAT SUBMISSION CAME BACK TO HAUNT RYAN BECAUSE HE COULDN’T CAPITALIZE ON HIS POWERBOMB! TOO MUCH TIME PASSED AND IMPACT WAS ABLE TO KICK OUT!
Gavin Kirkland: No matter the pain, Ryan needs to stay on the attack and that’s exactly what he is going to do. Impact is brought back to his feet by Ryan and he is going to try to lift Impact again AND HE DOES IT!
Deadprez: IMPACT IS ON RYAN’S SHOULDER AS RYAN LOOKS TO PLANT IMPACT WITH A RUNNING POWERSLAM, BUT RYAN’S BACK MIGHT BE HURTING HIM BECAUSE HE IS STARTING TO BUCKLE–
Eve: ON THE WAY DOWN, RYAN GOT CLAWED OR GOT A THUMB IN THE EYE! I can’t tell if that was intentional or not. Either way, Ryan is holding his eye in pain and drops to the mat as the referee goes to check on him. Impact doesn’t care as he runs to the ropes–
Gavin Kirkland: Xander tried to trip up Impact with the referee distracted, but Impact was able to avoid it and he looks right at Xander and rolls right out of the ring! Impact looking to cause the damage he was wanting to cause last week. Good thing Ryan didn’t see that.
Deadprez: Not that it did any good, because he missed by a mile wide. NOW IMPACT IS ON THE FLOOR AND XANDER WENT FOR A CLOTHESLINE, BUT IMPACT GETS OUT OF THE WAY! The referee is still with Ryan Joseph Wilson as Impact grabs Xander’s arm and quickly throws him in the other direction–
Eve: XANDER PAYNE GOES RIGHT INTO THE RING STEPS! HIS BACK CRACKS THE STEPS HARD, BUT IMPACT ISN’T FINISHED! IMPACT LIFTS XANDER UP WITH A FULL NELSON AND DROPS HIM FACE FIRST WITH “THE HAIL MARY” FACEBUSTER!
Deadprez: Xander is no doubt out after that facebuster to the steps and now that Impact is satisfied with what he did to Xander, he rolls right back into the ring now to finish off Ryan—
Eve: RYAN WITH A HELLUVA KICK RIGHT TO IMPACT’S FACE! RYAN CAUGHT IMPACT WHEN HE WAS GETTING BACK IN THE RING AND IMPACT WAS KNOCKED SILLY WITH THAT KICK!
Gavin Kirkland: Impact was knocked silly with that kick and Ryan is looking to take full advantage with a facelock! RYAN IS LOOKING TO FINISH IMPACT WITH THE “MIC DROP”! SMALL PACKAGE DRIVER ON THE WAY AND IF RYAN HITS IT, THIS MATCH IS OVER! RYAN LIFTS HIM UP–
Deadprez: IMPACT MANAGED TO GET FREE AND LANDED BEHIND RYAN! IMPACT QUICKLY TURNS AROUND AND CATCHES RYAN WITH A SCHOOLBOY ROLLUP! IS IMPACT GONNA STEAL IT HERE?

Deadprez: WAIT A SECOND! IMPACT HAS THE TIGHTS! OH COME ON, REF! LOOK UP! IMPACT HAS THE TIGHTS! NOT LIKE THIS!

(“M3tamorphosis” starts to play again as Impact lets Ryan go as the crowd boos Impact. Impact gets back to his feet with a smirk on his face as Gina Romano announces the final decision.)
Gina Romano: Here is your winner! IMPACT!!
Deadprez: This was a great match to watch right here, but you hate to see it end like that. There is no other way to say it, but Impact manages to steal this match.
Gavin Kirkland: Steal sounds so negative. You have to give the Hall of Famer credit for being able to stay one step ahead of Ryan after throwing Xander into the ring steps. Ryan was trying to finish the match with that Mic Drop of his, but it backfired.
Eve: Yes, Impact was able to counter and get the rollup victory but with the use of devious means. But you have to give Ryan a lot of credit for bringing a heck of a fight to the Hall of Famer.
Deadprez: He was close to winning the match on a few occasions, but it was just an unfortunate case of bad luck that cost him the match, but we do offer our congratulations to—
(Before Deadprez could finish that statement, Ryan was trying to get back to his feet as Impact clobbers him from behind.)
Eve: WHAT IS THIS ABOUT!? IMPACT IS ATTACKING RYAN! You already won the match! What more do you want?
Gavin Kirkland: He wants to make a statement and quite frankly, I don’t blame him. Sometimes you have to do things that the fans aren’t going to approve of.
Deadprez: Right now Impact is just pounding the tar out of Ryan Joseph Wilson. Xander Payne was taken out earlier by the ring steps and right now there is nothing Ryan can do about it unless he can fight back… WAIT A SECOND!
(The crowd starts going wild as Ms. Extreme sprints down to ring to help Ryan.)
Eve: HERE COMES MS. EXTREME! CAMILLE HAS A STEEL CHAIR IN HAND LOOKING TO EVEN THE ODDS!
Gavin Kirkland: Camille slides into the ring and TAKES A SWING AT IMPACT, BUT IMPACT DUCKS OUT OF THE WAY AND ROLLS OUT OF THE RING AS FAST AS HE CAN! Impact starts to head up the entrance ramp as Ms. Extreme helps Ryan get back to his feet.
Eve: Here comes Xander Payne finally rolling back into the ring. Impact might have won the match, but right now it’s Camille and DOMINION standing tall.
(The camera cuts to GM Kennedy Street, who is still in the medical room after what happened earlier in the evening, watching what just went down on a monitor.)
Deadprez: That is going to be interesting to see what she thinks about this situation. Either way, Ryan Joseph Wilson put forth a great effort, but it was Impact who went two for two against DOMINION. Ladies and gentlemen, we will be right back with more Showdown action after this.
(The final shot shows Kennedy Street still watching on the monitor in the medical room as Ms. Extreme and DOMINION are standing tall in the middle of the ring. Suddenly, Kennedy just starts to smile as the camera fades to a commercial break.)
(The camera returns from commercial break and we see that Heidi Huxley is in the ring. There is a table set up in the ring and Heidi has a microphone in hand, ready to address the crowd.)
Heidi Huxley: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to SHOWDOWN! It is now time for a moment that I know you have been waiting for for a long time. It is now time for the official contract signing for the Showdown Main Event match at Pain for Pride.
(The crowd cheers louder at the thought of Pain for Pride.)
Heidi Huxley: How about we get things started by introducing the competitors. First, let me introduce the Champion! He is the Answers World Champion… JAKE SMITH!
(‘WAR’ by grandson starts playing as the Answers World Champion Jake Smith enters the arena. The crowd is cheering Jake as he holds the Answers World Championship high in the air as he heads to the ring.)
Deadprez: Here comes the Champion! Jake has reigned as World Champion since December and he is going to do whatever it takes to keep his championship.
Eve: That’s true. When he won the title, nobody thought he would make it this long as he continues to prove people wrong. Will it be the same thing at Pain for Pride?
(Jake enters the ring and nods to Heidi as his entrance music fades off.)
Heidi Huxley: Thank you, Jake. Now let’s bring out the challenger. He is the 2023 KING OF ELITE! ADAM LUCAS!
(“You Know My Name” by Chris Cornell starts to play as Adam Lucas enters the arena to loud cheers from the crowd. He has a stoic look on his face as he eyes Jake in the ring and he heads to the ring.)
Gavin Kirkland: He is the man who will be challenging Jake at Pain for Pride and will Adam Lucas finally reach the top of the mountain in just four weeks?
Deadprez: This man has been on a crusade for the first World Championship of his career and this might be the closest he has been to achieving a career long dream. Will this be the moment that Adam Lucas reaches the brass ring in EAW?
(Adam enters the ring and takes his spot on the opposite side of the table. His eyes have never left Jake as his entrance music fades off.)
Heidi Huxley: Thank you for joining us, Adam. Now before we get to the contract signing, I was hoping that you both would have a few words to say. First, how about you start off by talking about what this Pain for Pride Main Event means to you. Jake, let’s start with you.
(Jake and Adam pick up the microphones on the table before Jake starts to speak.)
Jake Smith: Thank you, Heidi. I would like to say that Pain for Pride will be a major achievement of my career. I told the world that one day I would be World Champion at Pain for Pride and that’s exactly what’s happening. Even when I was doubted time and time again, I proved them wrong.
Adam Lucas: As for me, this main event match is the pinnacle of everything that I have wanted to achieve in EAW. I have had opportunities to be World Champion before, but Pain for Pride is my best chance to win the title that I have been striving for for years. It has certainly been a ride.
Jake Smith: It has been a ride, indeed. It is just a shame that your ride is just going to fall a little bit short.
Adam Lucas: Speaking of falling a little bit short, how did it feel knowing that your Pain for Pride dreams were almost taken away from you by Donovan at Fighting Spirit?
Jake Smith: Aww. That’s cute. Donovan put up a good fight, but I knew that I was always going to win. Nothing was going to keep me from going to Pain for Pride, not even a friend. Speaking of that, how did it feel having to count down your best friend when you were the referee?
Adam Lucas: Some friend you are. Using an innocent person who wanted to become World Champion to just prove something to me. Same old Jake Smith.
Jake Smith: Oh stop being such a bleeding heart. Your emotions always seem to take your eye off the ball and cost you victories. Just like last week. Remember that? Like how you cost me my match when you stuck your nose in my business.
Adam Lucas: Don’t you play innocent. You also stuck your nose in my business when you held my ankle and caused me to lose by countout. At Pain for Pride, there will be no hiding and no tricks. Just you and me with the Answers World Championship on the line.
(Adam takes a deep breath before continuing.)
Adam Lucas: Let me tell you I have waited so long for this opportunity and I do NOT plan on wasting it. I am going to do whatever it takes to win the match and leave Pain for Pride as Answers World Champion.
Jake Smith: Set it to music, Adam. What makes you so special? You have waited? So have I! Unlike you, I have the title right now and I am not going to let this title go, no matter how hard you fight.
Heidi Huxley: Alright, that’s enough. I think we have heard enough for right now. I believe it is now time to sign the contract for your match at Pain for Pride. Jake, as the champion, would be sign the contract first
(Heidi presents the contract and places it in front of Jake. Jake offers a smirk to Adam and signs the contract before sliding the contract to Adam. Adam glares at Jake before he signs the contract as well.)
Heidi Huxley: There you have it. Ladies and gentlemen, it is official. At Pain for Pride, it will be Jake Smith and Adam Lucas for the Answers World Championship. Now, gentlemen, do either of you have any final words?
(Jake takes the opportunity to bring the microphone back up to his mouth.)
Jake Smith: Actually, Heidi, I do have something to say. I have something to ask you, Adam.
(Adam gives Jake a look, wondering what in the world Jake would want to ask him.)
Jake Smith: Adam, how does it feel knowing that it absolutely sucks that every night when you cuddle up and sleep with that wife of yours that I was the first one to…
(Jake puts his finger in his mouth and makes a pop sound.)
Jake Smith: POP that cherry of hers?
(Jake gets a devious look on his face as Adam starts to get mad about what Jake said about his wife.)
Jake Smith: I mean I got to do that all for the sake of a $12 bet. You know what else? It was so freakin easy, too!
(Adam takes a deep breath, before he launches himself over the table and tackles Jake down as the crowd goes absolutely wild.)
Deadprez: HERE WE GO!! We knew it was going to break down and now it has. Jake might have taken things too far with those comments about Adam’s wife and Adam has had enough of Jake’s talking.
Gavin Kirkland: Adam has taken down Jake and he is trying to pound the crap out of Jake and Jake is trying to do anything he can to block the shots or get away.
(The crowd’s cheers immediately turn to boos as they see security and extra referees coming to try and break up this fight.)
Eve: The crowd is not happy about the security coming to break up this fight. This has been brewing up for a while and they wanna see Adam beat the crap out of Jake.
Crowd: LET THEM FIGHT! LET THEM FIGHT! LET THEM FIGHT!
(The officials finally break up the fight between Jake and Adam. Adam is trying to get free but the officials are holding on tight.)
Gavin Kirkland: Here come the officials and they have got Adam and Jake separated for the time being, but how long will it last?
(After being held back for a moment, Adam starts clobbering the officials and goes right back to Jake.)
Deadprez: ADAM JUST HIT THE OFFICIALS AND HE IS STILL FIGHTING HIS WAY TO JAKE! HE GOT A SHOT ON JAKE BEFORE THE OFFICIALS PULL HIM BACK!
Gavin Kirkland: HE IS STILL HITTING OFFICIALS! HE WANTS TO GET HIS HANDS ON JAKE IN THE VERY VERY WORST WAY POSSIBLE! I DON’T KNOW IF ADAM CAN WAIT UNTIL PAIN FOR PRIDE! LOOK HOW HARD HE IS FIGHTING TO GET TO JAKE!
(Even with all the breakaways, Jake manages to escape Adam’s clutches and roll out of the ring. He has that same smirk on his face as he holds the Answers World Championship up in the air as he walks up the entrance ramp.)
Eve: Jake manages to get free for now, but will what he did tonight tell the tale at Pain for Pride?
Deadprez: Will this be the end of the story at Pain for Pride? Has Jake got into Adam’s head enough to retain his title? Or has Jake unintentionally woken up a beast in Adam Lucas? We still have four weeks until Pain for Pride so who knows what will happen next? Ladies and gentlemen, we hate to leave you like this, but we are almost out of time.
