(The scene opens up to the very back of the Smoothie King Center. The number one contender to the Answers World Championship, Adam Lucas, is seen pacing around. Despite what he said earlier in the week during his verbal battle with Harper Lee, the situation between his wife, Dr. Bethany Blue, and Kassidy Heart is weighing heavily on his mind. To say that Bethany threw a curveball would be a gross understatement. Deep down, he knew it was wrong on every level, not to mention it had jeopardized a match that Adam had desperately wanted to win on his own terms. Bethany had taken that from him, and while he didn’t want it to affect his relationship, he didn’t feel great about excusing her behavior, either. That’s why he was waiting for Kassidy.)
???: Adam! Adam Lucas!
(Adam turned around and saw Kyra Philips rushing towards him. He couldn’t help but swear under his breath because the last thing he wanted to deal with right now was an interview.)
Adam Lucas: I’m not interested in giving an interview right now, Kyra.
(Adam’s voice was polite, but firm.)
Kyra Philips: Then just answer this one question for me. Are you really okay with what your wife, Dr. Bethany Blue, did back at Reasonable Doubt?
(Adam couldn’t help but scowl. He had told Kyra he didn’t want to answer any questions.)
Adam Lucas: With all due respect, Kyra, I’m not interested in answering any questions right now.
Kyra Philips: Are you back here because you’re waiting on someone? Is Dr. Blue going to show up tonight?
Adam Lucas: Kyra, please. I said I don’t want to answer any questions right n-
(That is when Adam saw Kassidy Heart. Her handler, Dasha Rybáriková, had just opened the door of the back entrance and was allowing Kassidy to walk in.)
Adam Lucas: Kass!
(As soon as Adam started walking towards Kassidy, Dasha and Kassidy came to a stop.)
Kassidy Heart: If I were you, I would stop right there, turn around, and go in the opposite direction. You are the last fucking person I want to see right now.
(A sigh escapes Adam’s lips, but he continues towards Kassidy, much to her annoyance.)
Adam Lucas: Look, I had no idea Beth was going to show up at Reasonable Doubt and do what she did. Had I known, I would have tried to stop her.
Kassidy Heart: That’s bullshit. In fact, all of this is bullshit. I find it hard to believe that you weren’t in on the set-up from the beginning because Gawd knows you’ve never been able to beat me. Obviously, the result of our match at Reasonable Doubt would have been the same as our others, and that’s a fact. You knew good and well that you wouldn’t have beaten me, and that just couldn’t happen as you head to Pain for Pride to compete in one of the worst, most lackluster main events in this company’s history. You had to look strong! You had to beat lil ole me! You needed your marquee fucking victory to justify that you’re not some sorry excuse of a King of Elite.
(Adam, who doesn’t take kindly to Kassidy’s comments, somehow manages to keep his emotions in check.)
Adam Lucas: Winning a tainted match does nothing to help me prove that I am ready to be a world champion, Kass, and if you know anything about me at all, you know that I am not okay with what happened to you.
Kassidy Heart: Really, bitch? The words you spoke this week basically said ‘it is what it is’. You excused your dumbass wife’s shitty, cowardly behavior because at the end of the day, you got what you wanted which was a win over me and you’re competing in the main event of Pain for Pride for the Answers World Championship. You fucking have it all! Meanwhile, YOUR WIFE tried to take EVERYTHING from me. She put my livelihood on the line and for what? So her stupid husband could win a match he was never good enough to win on his own??
(Kassidy’s voice had risen an octave and that prompted Dasha to put her hand on Kassidy’s arm.)
Dasha Rybáriková: Kassidy, we have the interview with EAW Germany scheduled in less than 20 minutes. We need to get going. You have time scheduled on Showdown where you can address everything. Come along, please.
(It was Dasha’s job to keep Kassidy in line when Methuselah wasn’t around, focused, and on track, so she took Kassidy’s arm and went to lead her away. However, Kassidy, who was more than riled up at this moment, shook her arm free and shoved her finger into Adam’s chest.)
Kassidy Heart: At Pain for Pride, I am going to stain the ring with your wife’s blood and make sure she feels every ounce of pain and aggravation that I have felt over the course of the last couple of months. Insolence does not go unpunished and you should know better than anyone that I always get what I want. This is not about the Universal Women’s Champion now, although taking that from Bethany who just worked so fucking hard to win it is going to be nice. I’m not going to rest until there’s enough blood in that ring to bathe in and if her career is cut short, then so be it. And then when I’m done, you need to watch your fucking back because one way or another, I’m going to get the win I should have had at Reasonable Doubt back.
(With unnecessary force, Kassidy shoved Adam away from her and stalked off. The King of Elite was left standing there dumbfounded and at a loss for words. He had a feeling the conversation he just had wasn’t really with Kassidy, and that bothered him a lot more than he wanted to admit.)
Kyra Philips: Adam? Your thoughts on what just happened?
Adam Lucas: Fuck off.
(With an uncharacteristic sharp tone, Adam glares at Kyra and storms off in the opposite direction that Kassidy and Dasha had gone.)
(And on that note, Showdown faded into its intro.)

(RECAP–Last week, the three brands of Elite Answers Wrestling took part in the Fighting Spirit event from the Aseya Center in beautiful Miami, Florida. The Showdown action began in General Manager Kennedy Street’s office with Drake Armstrong. Kennedy is very anxious about the Last Woman Standing match. She believes that Pandora should never have agreed to the stipulation in the first place and there will be consequences if she loses. Kennedy then tells Drake to tell Pandora she better win, good luck, and that she will be watching. Then Richard Tracie P.I. enters the office and shows Kennedy some missing footage that guarantees the identity of Kennedy Street’s attacker.)
(The recap plays on as Ms. Extreme defeats Pandora Paisley in the special Unsanctioned last woman standing match after both women fell off the roof of the arena with Ms. Extreme barely being able to stand and beat the count. That victory means that Ms. Extreme will get Kennedy Street one on one at Pain for Pride. The next Showdown match has Alex Myers defeating Hans Grayson, Jack Ripley, and Roberto De La Rosa in a fatal four way match to qualify for the Cash in the Vault Ladder Match at Pain for Pride. We then see Veena Adams defeating Chris Elite to successfully defend the National Elite Championship. After the match, Theron Nikolas comes out and almost mockingly tells Elite that he knew he couldn’t do it, leaving Chris Elite looking on in anger.)
(The recap continues with Dr. Bethany Blue defeating ARIA to retain the Universal Women’s Championship, Kassidy Heart comes out and declares that she will be challenging Dr. Bethany Blue at Pain for Pride for the Universal Women’s Championship. After the challenge was accepted, Richard Tracie P.I. came out and revealed to the world the identity of Kassidy Heart’s attacker. The identity of Kassidy’s attacker was none other than… DR. BETHANY BLUE! Bethany uses the distraction to leave Kassidy out cold in the ring before saying that she is going to make Kassidy pay for what she did three years ago. The main event of Fighting Spirit has Jake Smith defending his Answers World Championship against Donovan Duke with Adam Lucas as the special guest referee. Both fought hard and the challenger gave the champion all he had, but Jake was able to defend his title. The last shot after Smith holds up his championship on the stage is Adam Lucas kneeling against the ropes with an unsettling stare as the recap ends.)
(“Brick Wall” by A Day to Remember starts playing as Showdown is coming live from the Smoothie King Center, in New Orleans, Louisiana The crowd in the sold out arena is standing out their feet cheering for another exciting edition of Showdown. The camera pans around the arena showing as many fans as possible with their signs and merchandise before finishing at the commentary table where Deadprez, Eve, and Gavin Kirkland are sitting and ready to call the action. )
Deadprez: Ladies and gentlemen! Welcome to another exciting edition of SATURDAY! NIGHT! SHOWDOWN! We are FIVE WEEKS AWAY from the extravaganza known as PAIN FOR PRIDE! Tonight, we are in “The Big Easy” New Orleans, Louisiana. I am the one and only Deadprez and alongside Eve and Gavin Kirkland, we will be calling all the exciting action. Are you guys getting pumped for Pain for Pride?
Eve: Prezzy, there is absolutely NOTHING like it. But we still have plenty of Showdown to get through before then. Including tonight, where we get a medical update on both Ms. Extreme and Pandora Paisley after what they put each other through at Fighting Spirit.
Gavin Kirkland: WOOOOOOOOOOO!!! I LOVE SHOWDOWN!! This is so awesome.
Eve: I also heard from the grapevine that Chris Elite is here and he is gunning for Kennedy Street. He isn’t happy either after what happened at Fighting Spirit and we will see what he will have to say tonight. Also tonight, there is one champion left on Showdown who doesn’t have a challenger and that’s Veena Adams. Maybe we will find out who her next challenger will be
Deadprez: Also tonight we will hear from Kassidy Heart about what happened at Fighting Spirit. She is not in the best of moods and she is going to blow up tonight.
Gavin Kirkland: PREZZY!!! It’s time for the matches!! My favorite part of the show!!! Like tonight we have a triple threat match. It’s a Showdown New Talent Showcase with Nyx, Marilyn Johnson, and the undefeated Michael Machina competing. Will Michael continue his undefeated streak or will Nxy or Marilyn find a way to take him down. That’s tonight.
Eve: We also have the Unified Tag Team Champions here. POTARA is here and they will be in singles action tonight. First, we have a very interesting match. It will be boyfriend versus girlfriend! Holly Arrow will face Jake Smith tonight.
Deadprez: On the other side of the spectrum, Harper Lee will take on Jake’s Challenger at Pain for Pride. It’s going to be Adam Lucas going one on one with Harper Lee. That’s going to be a big match tonight.
Gavin Kirkland: Also tonight, we have another match that has major Pain for Pride implications. We have a four way match to determine the final Showdown spot for the Cash in the Vault ladder match. Ashlynn Quinn, Harley Lewis, Donovan Duke, and Lexi are going to be battling it out to earn that final spot representing Showdown. The person who gets the fall goes to Pain for Pride. That is going to be a great match. I know it.
Eve: We also have some Championship action here on Showdown. The New Breed Championship is on the line with Dynasty’s Caroline defending her title against our own Major Michael Scott Connor. Will Caroline show exactly why she’s a dangerous champion? Or will the Marine Corps mentality of Scotty propel him to his first Championship? That match is going to be good.
Deadprez: Finally, in our main event we have a battle of Hall of Famers. It’s going to be Impact taking on Xander Payne with Ryan Joseph Wilson in his corner. Tonight, one Hall of Famer will defeat another, but which one will come out on top. That will be tonight. Right now, let’s send it to the ring with the lovely Gina Romano for our opening contest of Saturday Night Showdown!
(The camera cuts to the ring where Gina Romano is standing with a microphone in hand, ready to make the introductions for the first match of tonight’s Showdown.)
( The crowd here in Showdown is already hyped up for this match, eagerly awaiting the first match of the night. Gina Romano, the ring announcer, can be seen standing in the middle of the ring as usual, preparing to announce the opening contest. )

( ‘Lapdance’ by NERD starts playing as Holly Arrow makes her entrance, looking absolutely fabulous as always, with the EAW Unified Tag Team title proudly around her waist. Her POTARA tag team partner, Harper Lee, follows closely behind her, also carrying the EAW Unified Tag Team title on her shoulder. Holly exudes confidence as she confidently makes her way towards the ring, fully aware that tonight she is facing none other than the Answers World Champion, Jake Smith. )
Gina Romano: INTRODUCING FIRST!… ACCOMPANIED BY HARPER LEE!… REPRESENTING POTARA!… CURRENTLY RESIDING IN ATHERTON, CALIFORNIA!… WEIGHING IN AT 149 POUNDS!… SHE’S ONE-HALF OF THE EAW UNIFIED TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS!… SHE’S THE ‘QUEEN OF HELL’ !!!!!!!!!!… HOLLYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!…. Eve: After a tremendous success at Grand Rampage this year, defeating Soul Food Sunday and achieving their desired goal, POTARA has finally reached the pinnacle of the tag team division. They now proudly wear the championship gold on their backs and are prepared to take on any teams that come their way. However, tonight, one-half of POTARA, Holly Arrow, will test herself against the Answers World Champion, Jake Smith. Adam, what are your thoughts on POTARA?
( The camera fades to the side of the commentary table, revealing Adam Lucas sitting and thinking about something while watching what’s ongoing at the moment. )
Adam Lucas: POTARA has undoubtedly proven themselves as a great force in the tag team division. Holly Arrow and Harper Lee have displayed chemistry and teamwork, capturing the EAW Unified Tag Team titles from SFS. Their success at Grand Rampage speaks volumes about their skills and determination. POTARA has earned their place at the top, and well, they are great to me.
( Holly enters the ring, handing over the EAW Unified Tag Team title to the referee for safekeeping. She removes her entrance coat and backs herself into the corner. ‘WAR’ by grandson replaces Holly’s theme as Jake Smith makes his entrance, proudly displaying the Answers World Championship around his waist. Jake wastes no time and confidently makes his way towards the ring. He briefly exchanges eye contact with Adam Lucas before stepping into the ring. )
Gina Romano: AND HER OPPONENT!… FROM ATHERTON, CALIFORNIA!… WEIGHING IN AT 210 POUNDS… HE IS THE EAW ANSWERS WORLD CHAMPION!… ‘THE PROCESS’ !!!!…. JAKEEEEEEEEE!!!!…. SMITHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
Gavin Kirkland: And here comes the Answers World Champion himself, Jake Smith! Jake knows that he needs to fight somebody he loves tonight, but he is still going to make sure that he can still prove himself in this type of situation as the champion, no matter what. Jake loves his girlfriend very much and probably more than I do, so sure, he is the champion, but that doesn’t mean he completely wants to hurt what he loves coming to this match.
Adam Lucas: I have been through this before, and I quite understand it’s tough. However, Jake is professional enough to carry this stress through the match, and hopefully, he can work out to make sure that he can still win this match.
( DING DING DING! )
Deadprez: The couple’s fight has finally begun! Jake Smith takes on Holly Arrow, and it officially starts. We can’t wait to see how this will go for these two. Jake and Holly pop out of their respective corners, and both competitors kick things off with a collar-and-elbow tie-up right away! The tension starts building right there, up until Jake starts going behind and tries to lock up his girlfriend, turning into a waistlock, but Holly quickly drops to the ground herself, seizing Jake’s leg and looking for AN EARLY ATTEMPT AT AN INDIAN DEATHLOCK! However, Jake uses his right foot, kicking Holly away just in time.
Eve: Holly employs a quicker tactic as she grabs Jake right after the kick, but Jake tries to push her away with A STEP-UP ENZUIGIRI but, Holly ducks under, jumps over Jake, and takes him down with a Headlock! Jake quickly finds his way out to escape from the Headlock by tripping her leg. He goes behind Holly, SEIZING HER IN A SLEEPER HOLD, but Holly rolls over and turns Jake into a roll-up right away! Great counter by Holly there!
Gavin Kirkland: Jake somehow kicks out quickly before the referee even begins to count! Holly tells all of you that tonight is going to be another night for #POTARASweep, so there is no snowball’s chance in hell that she’s going to let this slip through her hands, especially against her boyfriend who is the current Answers World Champion! Now Holly returns to both feet, seizes Jake down, has him kissing the ring’s mat, and LOOKS FOR THE STF SUBMISSION HOLD!
Adam Lucas: I know these two love each other so much that Holly even hates to fight somebody like Jake because of how much she hates to hurt her boyfriend. But surely, Jake knows his mission here, and no matter how high the ceiling in this match goes, he has to keep going, fight, and prove his worth as the Answer World Champion here.
Eve: Holly almost gets Jake locked up in the STF submission hold, but Jake manages to turn back around, facing his girlfriend just in time as he grabs her head and drops her face right onto the ground beside him, then quickly rolls away just a little bit. Holly holds down her face and tries to return to both feet, but Jake quickly pops back up, dropping her to the ground and LOOKING FOR THE FIGURE FOUR LEG LOCK!… BUT AS JAKE IS TURNING AROUND, HOLLY SEIZES HIM AND QUICKLY GOES FOR A SCHOOL BOY ROLL UP THERE!

Gavin Kirkland: Jake immediately kicks out at one as he turns back around, facing his girlfriend. But Holly quickly takes Jake’s legs down this time, seizing his right leg and GOING FOR A HEEL HOOK! Jake uses his free leg to kick her away once again… but this time, Holly catches it before Jake decides to use both legs to shift his strength and SCOOPS HOLLY AWAY TO THE SIDE!
Deadprez: Holly rolls back to her feet right away after the scoop. She turns back around and throws a forearm at Jake, but Jake catches her, stepping in and starts striking her gut with a right knee on repeat! Jake pushes her towards the ropes as HOLLY RETURNS WITH A SHOOT KICK, BUT OUR ANSWER WORLD CHAMPION ISN’T BACKING AWAY FROM THE COMPETITION! HE STEPS UP AND CONNECTS WITH A BICYCLE KICK, HITTING HIS GIRLFRIEND!
Gavin Kirkland: Holly backs away, leaning against the ropes as Jake steps in and starts raining down a flurry of elbow smashes on her, but HOLLY IMMEDIATELY RETALIATES, CATCHING JAKE OFF GUARD WITH A PALM STRIKE, SENDING THE ANSWERS WORLD CHAMPION ALMOST STUMBLING TO THE GROUND! Holly quickly catches him to prevent him from falling. She pulls him from behind, lifting him off the ground… AND LOOKS TO DROP JAKE EARLIER WITH THE ‘SECTUMSEMPRA’ BURNING HAMMER!
Eve: Jake doesn’t think so and slips down behind Holly, turning her around and going for a Superkick, but Holly blocks his kick, GOING FOR A RUNNING LARIAT TO TURN JAKE INSIDE OUT! Jake quickly catches her arm, spins around in a 360-degree motion, and tosses Holly into the ropes instead…. THEN QUICKLY TAKES HOLLY DOWN TO HER KNEES WITH A BASEMENT DROPKICK, ROLLS BACK TO HIS FEET, AND HITS HER IN COMBINATION WITH A SHINING WIZARD!
Adam Lucas: These two are always incredibly fast in the ring, and it’s truly enjoyable to see them go right at each other with a lot of epic back-and-forth action. When I was a referee for Jake’s match at Fighting Spirit, I saw that he just keeps improving in the ring. Comparing the last time I faced him and the last time I was the referee in that match, there is a significant difference. AWC Jake Smith is way tougher than any previous version of Jake Smith.
Deadprez: Jake manages to take down Holly with a Shining Wizard and now grabs her head, then starts controlling her once again with another headlock, releasing her before spiking her back with a right knee on repeat, then seizing her back in the same position. Jake knows that his own girlfriend is way bigger than himself, and also stronger at some points, but Jake still shows that he has a few tricks up his sleeve to beat the advantage Holly brings to the match.
Gavin Kirkland: Jake now gets Holly back to her feet together with him and starts reigning down a fist right into the face of his girlfriend while having her in a headlock. Jake then releases her before shifting the position, hooking her arms and GOING FOR A BUTTERFLY DDT TO DROP ONE-HALF OF THE EAW UNIFIED TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS TO THE GROUND!
Eve: Holly manages to slip out before twisting Jake’s arm out, pulling him and going for a big lariat that could turn Jake inside out. But Jake manages to duck under, goes behind Holly, and DROPS HER RIGHT BACK DOWN TO THE GROUND WITH A QUICK BACKSTABBER!
Deadprez: Holly is being set back down to the ground, not looking really good for her there before rolling down to the outside, taking care of her own spine. Harper just keeps watching there, making sure that Holly is still up for the match.
Adam Lucas: You know, Harper can actually be kind and respectful somehow if she actually tends to be because, as we all know, most of the time, she’s incredibly annoying.
( Harper hears what Adam said and then turns back around with an annoyed look on her face. )
Harper Lee: (Off-Mic) Excuse me? Look, sir, nobody cares about your opinion, and it doesn’t matter how many times you want to say I’m annoying. You are the one who is more annoying than I am, so shut up.
( Adam doesn’t react much to what Harper said. He sits there, looking up at her with a nonchalant expression, not trying to waste his energy against her before his match tonight. )
Harper Lee: (Off-Mic) Yeah, please just sit there and do your job as a little commentator. You’re literally one of the worst King of Elite winners, while I was the greatest Universal Women’s champion in the history of this business. Know your place.
Gavin Kirkland: :lupe:
Adam Lucas: Okay.
Eve: Backing away from the little argument we just witnessed there, Jake charges at Holly, looking for a basement dropkick to knock her back away from the ring while she leans on the apron…. But Holly manages to move out of harm’s way, quickly running back in and dragging Jake down to the outside before TOSSING HIM INTO THE BARRICADE!
Deadprez: Holly seizes the upper hand and tosses the Answers World Champion back inside the ring. She reaches the apron, looking down at Jake and patiently waiting for him to return to both feet. As Jake starts to come back up, Holly climbs up to the rope…. SPRINGS OFF, AND TAKES HIM DOWN WITH A DIVING CROSSBODY!
Gavin Kirkland: But Jake doesn’t think so and manages to catch and ROLL HER INTO A BODYSLAM POSITION, POPPING HER ON HIS SHOULDERS AND DRILLING HOLLY TO THE GROUND WITH A DEATH VALLEY DRIVER! He seizes her arm, pulling her to a seated position before CONNECTING WITH A DROPKICK RIGHT TO THE FACE OF HOLLY!
Eve: Holly lies prone on the ground with Jake still on his feet. Jake starts throwing his hands, eliciting a reaction from the crowd who responds with massive chcer. Jake backs himself into the corner, looking down at Holly and waiting for her to reach her feet. Despite struggling after the Death Valley Driver and dropkick, Holly manages to get back up….. JAKE EMERGES FROM THE CORNER AND GOES FOR A RUNNING “STARMAKER” JUMPING CUTTER FROM BEHIND!
Gavin Kirkland: NOT SO FAST! HOLLY MANAGES TO STOP JAKE IN HIS TRACKS, CATCHING HIM BEFORE HE CAN EXECUTE THE MOVE. SHE TURNS HIM AROUND AND IMMEDIATELY DROPS THE CHAMPION WITH A FULL NELSON SUPLEX! HOLLY HOLDS ON AND PICKS UP THE PIECES, REACHING BOTH FEET AND DROPPING THE ANSWERS WORLD CHAMPION AGAIN, THIS TIME WITH A STRAIGHT JACKET SUPLEX!
Deadprez: Holly barely survives ‘Starmaker’ from Jake Smith, and now she’s poised to pick up a victory anytime soon after delivering two suplexes that completely destroyed the Answers World Champion. Holly rolls to the corner, leaning against it, waiting for Jake to make his comeback. Jake holds the back of his neck, slowly turning back around to face Holly….
Gavin Kirkland: HOLLY RUNS OFF AND GOES FOR THE ‘KING KONG GUN’ AXE BOMBER LARIAT BUT WOAH! JAKE CATCHES HER ARM, SPINS HER AROUND, AND ATTEMPTS A LARIAT OF HIS OWN, BUT HOLLY COUNTERS BY CATCHING JAKE WITH A KICK TO HIS ARM! SHE THEN RUNS AND TRIES FOR ANOTHER ‘KING KONG GUN’ BUT JAKE JUMPS AND STOPS HER WITH A QUICK STEP-UP ENZUIGIRI!
Eve: Jake reaches both feet, running around Holly and trying to hook her leg for THE ‘BROKEN WINGS’ SNAP SWINGING NECKBREAKER but Holly tries to pull her leg out and uses her free arm to strike Jake’s gut repeatedly, successfully escaping from the hold. Holly pushes Jake away and GOES FOR THE ‘BUSTER CALL’ ROLLING WHEEL KICK, BUT JAKE CATCHES HER LEG THIS TIME AND TURNS HER INTO HIS OWN FIGURE FOUR LEG LOCK!
Gavin Kirkland: IT’S APPLIED! THE FIGURE FOUR LEG LOCK HAS HOLLY IN A PRECARIOUS POSITION! It’s locked in tight! Holly is in serious trouble and struggling to escape! She yells out in pain and desperately tries to reach the bottom rope for a break. Don’t worry, Holly, I’ll come and save you, my sweetheart!

Deadprez: No! Holly manages to duck under the knee that was coming for the back of her head just in time. Eve: Jake doesn’t seem interested in going for a pinfall at the moment. He looks tired and decides to roll out of the ring, taking a break and walking around the outside. Perhaps Jake is trying to come up with a new plan while Holly is recovering from the Spinebuster. Gavin Kirkland: The match continues with Jake standing tall while Holly is still trying to regain her footing. Jake picks Holly up off the ground and throws her into the corner, charging towards her and attempting a running forearm smash but, HOLLY MANAGES TO POP OUT OF THE CORNER JUST IN TIME, CATCHING JAKE AND EXECUTING A GERMAN SUPLEX IN THE CENTER OF THE RING!
Eve: Jake holds his back in pain as Holly rises and GOES FOR ANOTHER ATTEMPT AT THE ‘KING KONG GUN’ AXE BOMBER TO TURN JAKE INSIDE OUT ONCE AGAIN, BUT JAKE NARROWLY DUCKS UNDER HER ARM, CAUSING HOLLY TO MISS AND BOUNCE OFF THE ROPES!…. Eve: It seems like he’s going to use the outside environment to inflict even bigger damage on Holly, but what could it be, anyway? I mean, Jake could finish the job inside the ring already, but why does it need to be on the outside? Now, Jake follows her down to the outside, then picks her back up to both feet…. OH! A SCOOP POWERSLAM DRIVES HOLLY INTO THE EDGE OF THE APRON! I SEE NOW WHY!
( After the Scoop Powerslam connects, Jake pops back to his feet without looking back at Adam Lucas, who is just sitting there watching the match. Jake walks towards Adam this time, but Adam instantly gets off his seat and prepares for what will come next. )

Eve: I guess Jake is feeling annoyed after all. Now, he heads back inside the ring, forcefully throwing Holly back into the ring with him-

Eve: I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT’S GOING ON AT THE MOMENT, AND EVERYBODY IS FIGHTING! JAKE AND HOLLY ARE STILL GOING AT EACH OTHER, WHILE ADAM PUSHES HARPER AWAY AND KNOCKS HER WITH A HARD RIGHT HAND! ADAM TURNS BACK AROUND AND STARTS HAVING A BONE TO PICK WITH JAKE AS THE KING OF ELITE WINNER AND THE ANSWERS WORLD CHAMPION START GOING AT EACH OTHER! ( Jake and Adam take their fight outside the ring, while Harper tries to follow. However, Holly stops her and signals her to conserve her energy for tonight’s match. Harper and Holly watch as Jake and Adam brawl outside, with the camera solely focusing on them. The final shot shows both men disappearing through the curtain, continuing their fight before the scene fades to a commercial break. )
(We cut to the backstage area and immediately saw Mikaela Street standing by, as always dressed in a business suit and with microphone ready.)
Mikaela Street: Thank you for joining me on what has already been an explosive night, as we have experienced all the fallout from Fighting Spirit. I’m sure you will all agree that there were many five-star matches that night, but the one that everyone seems to be talking about is the Last Woman Standing Match between Ms. Extreme and Pandora Paisley. And rightfully so. I think it is fair to say that it was one of the more brutal matches in recent history, and more than lived up to its billing. Before I elaborate on that further, I was able to get an exclusive interview with Camille immediately following that match, and this is what she had to say.
(The scene cuts to video footage from Fighting Spirit. We see Ms. Extreme sat on the edge of a medical table, bloodied, and battered but still able to bring a smile to her face. Mikaela comes into shot, a little nervous and not sure this is the right time but wanting to do the interview anyway.)
Mikaela Street: Camille if I could bother you for just a moment? If it’s not too much trouble?
(Ms. Extreme looks at her through her bloodied teeth and nods her head.)
Mikaela Street: I know it might be a silly question, but how are you feeling?
Ms. Extreme: How am I feeling? I’m feeling great Mikaela, I finally put that bitch back in her box. Yeah, she got me with some good shots, but like always, I showed precisely why I was given the name ‘Extreme’. I warned her, I warned her what would happen if she stepped into my domain, and this was the outcome.
Mikaela Street: Pandora has just been taken to a local medical facility, and the medical staff seemed really concerned about her. How does that make you feel?
Ms. Extreme: That’s the risk you take when you step up to me Mikaela. Am I supposed to feel guilty about the outcome?
Mikaela Street: No, but…
Ms. Extreme: Look, I’ll admit it Pandora gained my respect, and that isn’t an easy thing to do. I can be a stubborn bitch when it comes to people, but she impressed me with her guts, no doubt. She’ll be a huge star one day if she keeps with that attitude, no question about it. But this wasn’t about her, it was about me and Kennedy Street. Pandora was nothing more than collateral damage. So that’s it now Kennedy, no more excuses. You and I, Pain for Pride, and you’d better be ready. Because what happened tonight, will seem like foreplay by the time I’m through with you… Honey
(One of the medical staff says something to Mikaela, obviously wanting her to leave. The feed ends focused on Ms. Extreme’s face, cutting back to Mikaela in the present.)
Mikaela Street: A very focused Ms. Extreme there, obviously happy with her night’s work. Both women threw everything at the other to get it done. Who can forget Pandora stabbing Ms. Extreme in the throat with the Kendo Stick, or Ms. Extreme responding with one of the most sickening chair shots to the skull I have ever seen? What about the Glass Pane, shattered into the face of Ms. Extreme causing a lot of the damage you saw in that footage earlier, or the CODE RED onto the thumb tacks that as Deadprez called it, made Pandora into a Human Pin Cushion. There was so much chaos to marvel over, as they both made their way to the roof where the most sickening event happened of all. Both women falling off the roof and down onto the back of a semi-truck…
(Mikaela composes herself after relieving all of the carnage, before once again continuing.)
Mikaela Street: As you know, Ms. Extreme made it up before the count of ten, winning the match and still having time to smile at General Manager Kennedy Street, but the victory didn’t come without cost. Coming out of that event we were told that Ms. Extreme suffered some major injuries including back and shoulder trauma, some cuts to her face and body that required stitches and a fractured nose. Pandora by the same token received a deep laceration to her abdomen that required FORTY stitches, whilst also losing an awful lot of blood, and damage to her spine caused by the fall. Camille we are told is definitely a few weeks away from active competition but has promised that she will be on Showdown next week. With regards to Pandora however, no return date has been set, and it is a possibility we are hearing, though not confirmed, that she could miss Pain for Pride. I’m sure you all join me in wishing them both well in their recovery. That is all I have for now… back to Gina Romano in the ring!

Deadprez: And Here We GO! This match is officially underway! My god look at the size difference between Marylin and Nyx compared to Michael Machina! He’s a towering presence compared to the two who stand side by side in front of the man who flexes to show his power with a massive smirk on his lips.
Gavin Kirkland: Five feet 10 for Nyx, three inches shorter for Marilyn versus six feet five for Michael, AND LOOK BOTH GIRLS JUST NODDED TO EACH OTHER!! MARILYN WITH THE OBLIQUE KICK TO MICHAEL’S RIGHT KNEE TAKES HIM DOWN A LEVEL FOLLOWED BY NYX WITH A DROPKICK!
Eve: Micheal is on his back but is quickly recovering looking angry as he goes to his knees BUT HE GETS A DOUBLE SERVING OF KICKS FROM THE TWO GIRLS WHO JUST SUPERKICKED HIM TOGETHER!!! MICHAEL IS STAGGERING AND THEY SUPERKICK HIM IN THE JAW A FEW MORE TIMES BUT THE MAN REFUSES TO DROP TO HIS BACK!
Deadprez: Impressive from Michael who is taken by surprise by the two ladies in this match! AND APPLIES THE RIPCORD KNEE STRIKE SHE CALLS HOLY GHOST TO A KNEELING MICHAEL!! WHO’S STILL NOT FALLING DOWN!
Gavin Kirkland: My god will he even go down?? Maryse with a roundhouse kick to the man who’s looking stunned at this point but both girls manages to get him out of the ring BY STRIKING HIM WITH A SHOTGUN DROPKICK!! THEY BOTH DID THE SAME MOVE AND NOW MICHAEL IS OUTSIDE OF THE RING AND ON HIS BACK!
Deadprez: Both ladies look happy BUT MARILYN JUST THREW A THUMB TO THE EYE OF NYX!!
Gavin Kirkland: This is a triple-threat match after all! Not a two-on-one handicap!
Eve: Feels like a cheapshot regardless as Marilyn is now on the offensive as she throws an elbow then two and three to Nyx before throwing her into the ropes and running herself WITH A FOREARM SMASH!! DOWN GOES THE HONOURED ONE but she gets up very quickly, kick to the gut by Johnson WHO GRABS AT NYX’S HEAD, AND DRILLS HER WITH A DDT!!! Quick cover from Marilyn but Nyx kicks out quickly!
Gavin Kirkland: Nyx isn’t going to grant Johnson satisfaction at the moment, she herself wants to win this Showcase as she gets off of Nyx and goes to the ropes quickly! Bouncing off them and rushing to Nyx AND SMACKS HER HEAD TO THE MAT WITH A RUNNING BULLDOG!!
Eve: The Honoured one is in trouble but Marilyn doesn’t care as she hoists her back to her feet setting her up for a northern lights suplex! IT LANDS! But Marilyn isn’t stopping there, quick kip-up from the up-and-comer who quickly goes for a clothesline that brings down Nyx!
Deadprez: The Honoured One moves to her knees, Marilyn waiting for her, AND THEN TAKES HER DOWN WITH A ROUNDHOUSE KICK!! Nyx lands flat on her back before Johnson drops on her back and applies a sleeper hold! This means trouble for Nyx as she’s flailing her arms around trying to fend off the hold! Marilyn’s looking to the outside, Michael is still looking groggy so she has to make the most of this before he gets inside this fight and for SURE he won’t be happy!

NYX IS IN TROUBLE AGAIN AS SHE FLAILS HER ARMS AND THEN MOVES HER HANDS TO TRY AND PRY THE HANDS AWAY AND BREAK THE MOVE BUT MARILYN HAS THE MOVE LOCKED IN TIGHT!!
Deadprez: WILL NYX ME ABLE TO MAKE IT OUT OF THAT PREDICAMENT? SHE’S MAKING HER WAY TO THE ROPES! CRAWLING WHILE JOHNSON PULLS BACK AS HARD AS SHE CAN BUT SHE IS GETTING DRAGGED!! What power by Nyx who manages to grab hold of the rope which seems to irritate her opponent. Nyx turns to her back as she was free, throwing a kick at Marilyn trying to shove her away BUT MARILYN GRABS A LEG AND QUICKLY SETS HER UP INTO A FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK!!
Gavin Kirkland: BUT NYX QUICKLY HOLDS ONTO THE ROPES! The official barks at Marily to leg go of Nyx and she does so with a groan!
Eve: SUDDENLY FROM OUT OF NOWHERE COMES MICHEAL WITH A HUGE BIG BOOT TO THE FACE OF MARILYN WHO JUST SAVED NYX FROM TAPPING OUT!!! What a way for Micheal to get back into this fight and not look as happy as anticipated! He picks up Nyx AND DRILLS HER BACK FIRST WITH A SPINEBUSTER!!! WHAT POWER BY MACHINA as Nyx rolls outside of the ring to recover.
Deadprez: Machina looks like a monster somehow as he picks up Marilyn and harshly ships her to a corner. Stomping her way he throws a series of stiff-sounding shoulder tackles that lift Johnson off her feet each time! He grabs her by the throat, forcing her to lean back against the corner, AND SENDS HIS FREE HAND TO HER CHEST WITH A NASTY SOUNDING CHOP!!!

Deadprez: The man throws another, the sound just as loud!!!!

Gavin Kirkland: There is a change of color already on Marilyn’s chest where Micheal slapped as he picks her into his arms AND TAKES HER DOWN WITH A BACK BODY DROP! Marilyn is wincing hard, her back arched as she is writhing in pain! He drops to a knee and begins to throw some heavy punches and a series of elbows to the face of Marilyn who blocks however she can!
Eve: She is forced back to her feet AND SENT UP WITH A VERTICAL SUPLEX! AND LANDS ON HER BACK. Nyx is moving into the fight now, getting in Michael’s face as he looks down on her.
Deadprez: SHE JUST SMACKED HIM IN THE MOUTH!!! AND FOR HER EFFORT SHE JUST GOT SENT DOWN HARD WITH A BELLY-TO-BELLY SUPLEX!!! A brave attempt to gain an edge by Nyx but Michael is easily a head over her in height as he picks her up from the floor and scoops her up on his shoulder.

Deadprez: Let’s give some credit to Nyx and Marilyn Johnson who had the right strategy at the beginning of the bout, teaming together to take down the bigger target. Smart play! They both showed they had what it takes to win tonight and they both came close on a few occasions!
Eve: But as we all know gentlemen, coming close is not a win and tonight the honors belong to Michael Machina.
( The final shot is of Michael with an arm raised high as he stands at the entrance of the stage with a massive smirk on his face as it fades to a commercial break. )
( From the commercial break, we transition into a video package highlighting Veena Adams’ reign with the National Elite Championship. First, we’re given some background on the Adams family and the dynasty that they’ve built in the world of professional wrestling. We hear snippets from Veena’s promos, detailing how for such a long time she was an afterthought in this promotion. But she overcame the odds and broke down barriers to capture the National Elite Championship. Her recent partnership with Ashlynn Quinn is spoken about and we see highlights from her matches against names such as Chris Elite, Hans Grayson and Roberto de la Rosa. The video package ends with Veena stating she has her eyes on Pain for Pride and continuing her legacy. )
( Following this, Veena’s entrance theme hits. We’re back in the arena now, with this edition of Saturday Night Showdown from the Smoothie King Center rolling forward. Veena is accompanied by Ashlynn Quinn, we’ve witnessed these two grow close over the last couple of months and that relationship seems to be stronger than ever. Commentators discuss Veena’s reign with the National Elite Championship, as well as her latest defence against Chris Elite. Cameras cut to the ring and we can see that it’s not your typical set-up. It’s been decorated in shades of pink and gold — with shimmering tinsel adorning the ring ropes. There’s even an ice sculpture of Veena Adams situated in the middle of the ring! That doesn’t seem like the best idea. It’s very boujee, fashionable and even the fans here in Louisiana can appreciate it. Veena’s theme dies down and Ashlynn Quinn grabs a pair of microphones from a ringside attendant before beginning to address the millions that’re watching tonight. )
Ashlynn Quinn: It’s pleasing to hear that you approve of my little soirée, New Orleans. I wanted to put something together for this woman right here. This woman who ever since winning that National Elite Championship has been the face of Showdown. Veena Adams is iconic. Veena Adams is mother. She’s serving cu — well, I can’t exactly finish that thought. The point I’m trying to make is that she’s revolutionized herself over the last twelve months. She’s deserving of all the success she has had; so I propose a toast. A toast to the woman who is mentoring me and has taken me under her wing. A woman who is maintaining and improving the Adams family legacy. Veena Adams, this one’s for you. Go ahead, New Orleans, cheer for her!
( Ashlynn Quinn takes the opportunity to handle a glass of champagne which is situated on a table next to the large ice sculpture of Veena Adams. She and Veena clink glasses — but the enthusiasm for the blonde bombshell has dwindled a little here in Louisiana. The reaction Ashlynn’s proposal garners is mixed. Veena furrows her brows, whereas Ashlynn rolls her eyes at such a typical, flippant attitude from the crowd inside of the Smoothie King arena. )
Veena Adams: Thank you Ashlynn. This is all very sweet. I knew that when I tasked you with putting together a little celebration for me — you would deliver, and you have. The ring ropes, this amazing ice sculpture. We’ve perhaps dented Heidi Huxley’s purse, but hell. I believe it turned out quite well! It’s befitting of a woman like me. A woman who, like you said, has put her all into this sport this season and has improved her game. I’ve known what it’s like to skate on through the Elite Answers Wrestling experience. This time around, I said enough is enough! I ended the longest winning streak this championship has ever seen. I beat Donovan Duke and since then I’ve been the star. I’ve been an integral part of Showdown.
Veena Adams: I look at the names I’ve beaten and to me — it’s undeniable. I’ve faced every challenge with my head held high and have overcome the odds time-after-time. All of these challengers who you people in the crowd rooted for. Who you all clamored and begged to see dethrone moi. I’ve done it all. I look at Pain for Pride, and I’m struggling. I’ve beaten every notable contender, everybody who dares to look at my National Elite Championship — with a hand on my heart I’ve done everything there is to do. There’s nobody left to challenge me. Nobody on Showdown good enough, consistent enough, with the qualities it’d take to even be in the same conversation as me, let alone —
( Veena’s words are cut off, as Jon Kelton’s entrance theme hits through the speakers to the roar of the crowd! Veena seemed a little surprised, whereas Ashlynn Quinn looks downright upset that somebody would have the audacity, the gall, to interrupt Mother! Jon Kelton walks out onto the stage and he’s accompanied by Londyn Zelaya. Over these last few months, Kelton has been a key asset for Kennedy Street when it comes to exerting her power over Showdown. You wouldn’t be wrong to assume that Jon and Veena are friends — allies even. But that friendship seems to go elsewhere when it comes to the National Elite Championship. )
Jon Kelton: Apologies for the interruption, ladies. I have to admit this set-up is nice. You’ve done a good job Ashlynn, and the same goes to you pertaining to your reign with that National Elite Championship, Veena. But let’s get down to business. Let me explain why I’ve come out here right now and it should be obvious. Veena, you said you’ve faced them all. You said that every eligible challenger that Showdown has — you’ve run through. Well, I don’t believe that’s the case. I’ve been waiting for an opportune time to make a declaration. I’ve been waiting for the right time to pursue my next championship in this promotion. Suffice to say, Veena, I think that championship could be sitting around your pretty, slender waist right now.
Jon Kelton: Pain for Pride. Nashville, Tennessee. It’s a big stage, a stage befitting of a big match between two of the best that Showdown has to offer. So how about it, Veena? How about you and I set the world alight and raise the prestige and legitimacy of that dear piece of gold. Because the truth is, no matter how you wish to spell it out, you haven’t faced the best that Showdown has to offer. You haven’t chalked off every eligible challenger. I’m right here, I’ve been here grinding and working away all season. And not only do I think I’m deserving of a shot at your championship; I really fancy my odds of standing tall in Nashville next month.
( Jon Kelton holds the ropes open for Londyn to get into the ring. Then he joins her. Veena looks a little unsettled, but she still raises the microphone up and responds to the challenge. )
Veena Adams: Woah, woah. Jon, look. I have a lot of respect for you and what you’ve done for Showdown this season. But I thought we were friends? When I spoke about all of the eligible challengers having already come for the crown; I didn’t mean you. Because I don’t see you as eligible, we’re on the same side. Why would you want this? Why would you want to take the National Elite Championship away from me?
Jon Kelton: It isn’t personal, Veena. It’s a friendly competition. I’d have been walking out here no matter who held that title in their hands.
( Veena and Ashlynn have an off-the-microphone discussion amongst themselves. Kelton raises an eyebrow as the crowd waits in anticipation. Veena nods her head. She extends a handshake to Jon and it appears we’ll be getting Veena Adams vs. Jon Kelton at Pain for Pride! The crowd, regardless of their feelings for either person, cheered at this. It’s another blockbuster bout added to the biggest event in wrestling. A smile creeps onto both Veena and Jon’s faces. They barely have time to release the handshake before — My goodness! Jack Ripley’s music now smashes through the speakers! The crowd roars, a mixed reaction as Jack Ripley saunters out onto the stage! A former World champion! Someone who has done so much here in Elite Answers Wrestling, could he too be lining up a shot at Veena Adams’ title? )
Jack Ripley: Look at this nice little gathering. It’s a coming together of all the big bads of Saturday Night Showdown. The villains club, it’s fitting. We’re all peas from the same pod. Olives from the same branch, and it seems Jon was thinking what I was also thinking, too. Kennedy Street has been telling me for weeks now to “man up” so to speak. If I want to make a big impact on Showdown, then I need to do just that. Go after what I want. Not kick my feet in the dirt and wait for something to come to me. I know that Pain for Pride is around the corner…
Jack Ripley: I feel like I don’t have to spell it out. It’s obvious. What I want at Pain for Pride is that National Elite Championship, Veena. Because Jon’s hit the nail on the head. You haven’t even begun to scratch the surface or “eligible” challengers here on Showdown. Saying so is just ignoring the truth. It’s downplaying what someone like me, for example, can do. I’m a good enough wrestler for it. I’m experienced, I know what it’s like to carry myself like a champion and be the face of this promotion — the actual face. Not just putting together a defense here-and-there and having Uncle’s last name carry me higher than I actually deserve.
( Veena goes to respond, but Ashlynn beats her to the punch. )
Ashlynn Quinn: Now hold on a moment. Jack, I’m not sure who you’re getting clued in by here. But Veena Adams has already walked this path. She’s already gone against multiple people in the same match and she came out on top. All season Veena has had to struggle against the odds. Just like Road to Redemption, where she became the Number One Contender beating out multiple people. Mother Veena doesn’t do triple threat matches. It’s one-on-one. Jon and Veena shook on it. All of these people saw that happen! You say this is a gathering, well the party just got a little /too/ big as far as we’re concerned. Maybe next season. Maybe on the Draft Show even, you’ll get a match. But you’re too late here. This isn’t a free-for-all, it’s not an open invitation. So shoo away. Back of the line, go back to catering. I have a match to prepare for and quite simply there’s too many bodies around me right now — it’s uncomfortable.
( All of the bodies devolve into a bickering match. Ashlynn, Jack, Jon and Veena are all trying to get a word in while Londyn looks on, a little bemused. Jack gives up trying to get a word in, resting his body on that large ice sculpture of Veena Adams — that is until his body weight tips the sculpture off of its pedestal, as it teeters before falling out to ringside and smashing into a million little pieces! Ashlynn emits a large gasp, whereas Veena looks enraged! Heidi Huxley scampers out onto the stage. She’s screaming, telling people to calm down! Eventually she’s able to have some quiet in the ring. She now begins to speak. )
Heidi Huxley: Ladies and gentlemen, I’ve spoken to Kennedy Street. She has heard what everybody has to say and she thinks this could be a good idea. So, with that being said, Pain for Pride will officially see Veena Adams defend the National Elite Championship against two competitors — Jack Ripley and Jon Kelton in a triple-threat match!
( The New Orleans crowd roared in approval of this announcement. Jack Ripley and Jon Kelton who are standing in the ring look smitten. Veena Adams however, looks less than impressed. She screams into the microphone for Heidi to wait up — given that Heidi had already begun to turn around and head backstage. We slowly transition out from this shot to a commercial break with Veena sprinting up the entrance ramp, chasing after Heidi. Jack and Jon also vacate the ring whereas Ashlynn looks a little beside herself. She has a match up next as it fades into an ad for Pain For Pride! )
( Saturday Night Showdown comes back from a commercial break with Ashlynn Quinn warming up after her prior segment in the ring. Then it starts focusing on Gina Romano, who stands in the middle of the ring, ready to announce this contest. )
Gina Romano: THE FOLLOWING CONTEST IS A CASH IN THE VAULT FATAL FOUR WAY QUALIFIER MATCH!… AND IT’S SCHEDULED FOR!….

Donovan Duke makes his way out with confidence on his way, heading straight to the ring, only coming here just to fight and win this match. )

( Donovan goes into the ring and starts warming up, not seeming to care about the way Ashlynn is mocking him at the moment while staying in the corner. He puts all his focus on this match and waits for others to come out. ‘Superhero (Heroes and Villains)’ by Metro Boomin, Future, and Chris Brown starts playing as Harley Lewis comes out to a big boo from the crowd, showing that he’s one of the most hated men in this roster. He heads to the ring and looks at those two with a wicked smile on his face. )

( Harley goes into the ring, then takes off his entrance coat, looking at those two and signaling that he’s determined to win tonight for sure. ‘Mr. Brightside’ by The Killers starts playing, eliciting cheers once again, as Lexi comes out with a confident expression on her face. Ashlynn looks disgusted while standing in the ring, but Lexi doesn’t really care much about that, heading towards the ring. )
Gina Romano: FINALLY!… FROM DETROIT, MICHIGAN!… WEIGHING IN AT 117 POUNDS!… SHE’S THE ‘MOTOR CITY MACHINE GUN’ !!… LLLLLEEEEEEXXXXXIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!
( Lexi then goes into her corner, warming up and quickly preparing for the bell, while those four are looking at each other before the bell starts ringing. )

HARLEY ROLLS OUTSIDE THE RING, AND DONOVAN QUICKLY GETS ON HIS FEET, RUNNING THROUGH THE ROPES AND EXECUTING A SUICIDE DIVE, PUSHING HARLEY HARD INTO THE BARRICADE!
Gavin Kirkland: HARLEY HITS HIS BACK ON THE BARRICADE AND TRIES TO WALK AWAY, BUT DONOVAN QUICKLY SCRAMBLES TO HIS FEET AS HE CLOTHESLINES HARLEY OVER THE CROWD’S BARRICADE, SENDING HIM INTO THE CROWD AREA! REMEMBER, THIS IS A FOUR-WAY MATCH, AND ANYTHING GOES! THERE ARE NO COUNT-OUTS OR DISQUALIFICATIONS, BUT ONLY ONE ELITIST WILL PICK UP THE WIN IN THIS COMPETITION!
Eve: Lexi and Ashlynn are going right at each other. Ashlynn starts repeatedly throwing her right hand at Lexi, running backward towards the ropes. However, Lexi counters with a Backspin Kick, putting Ashlynn down on the ground. Ashlynn rolls outside the ring as quickly as possible, but Lexi says, ‘Hang on,’ and pulls her back in. Ashlynn tries to use the bottom rope to keep her distance from Lexi and avoid getting closer. Lexi grows annoyed and forcefully pulls Ashlynn away from the ropes…. ASHLYNN SPINS BACK AND CONNECTS WITH A QUICK KICK TO THE SIDE OF LEXI’S HEAD, STUNNING HER!
Gavin Kirkland: Donovan takes the fight into the crowd area as he and Harley go right at each other. Donovan lands a right hand, and Harley retaliates with a right hand as well! Both men are going nonstop, with the crowd around them watching in excitement! Donovan stops and THROWS HARLEY’S FACE RIGHT INTO THE STAIR HANDRAIL! Harley stumbles and falls onto the stairway leading to the exit door, but Donovan starts dragging him before… OH GOD! HE THROWS HIM OFF THE STAIRS, MAKING HIM ROLL FROM TOP TO BOTTOM! HARLEY IS GOING THROUGH A ROUGH TIME, AND I CAN TELL HE’S NOT REALLY HAPPY BEING THERE AT ALL!
Deadprez: Now back into the ring, Lexi is controlling the match as she starts stomping on Ashlynn, keeping her on the ground. Ashlynn takes a few hits before rolling down to the outside. She leaves the ring and heads straight to the back, as if she doesn’t want to continue anymore… BUT LOOK, LEXI ROLLS OUTSIDE, FOLLOWS HER UP TO THE STAGE, AND DELIVERS A CLOTHESLINE TO THE BACK OF ASHLYNN’S HEAD, TAKING HER DOWN BEFORE SHE COULD EVEN REACT TO BEING ON THE STAGE!
Eve: Back to the intense showdown between Donovan and Harley! DONOVAN PICKS UP A BONE WITH HARLEY BEFORE THROWING HIS FOREARM RIGHT ACROSS HARLEY WHILE HE’S STILL DOWN ON THE GROUND! HE REPEATS THIS ACTION, SHOWING NO MERCY AT ALL! DONOVAN THEN STOPS AND STARTS RAINING DOWN MUDHOLE STOMPS ON HARLEY WHILE HE’S DOWN THERE! THIS MAN IS GETTING PUNISHED, HE NEEDS TO DO SOMETHING!
Gavin Kirkland: On the stage, we have the fight between Lexi and Ashlynn right now! Lexi grabs Ashlynn and tries to DDT her on the stage, but Ashlynn counters with a knee to Lexi’s gut, catching her off guard. Ashlynn then attempts to execute a Northern Lights Suplex, but Lexi manages to stop it before Ashlynn can do anything, tossing her to the ground. Ashlynn quickly gets back to her feet, but Lexi charges in and SHUTS HER DOWN WITH A RUNNING KNEE! HE FOLLOWS UP WITH A FIST STRAIGHT INTO HIS FACE, TAKING HIM ALL THE WAY DOWN TO THE BACK OF THE BARRICADE AND TOSSING HIM BACK TO THE RINGSIDE AREA! LEXI, HOLDING HER BACK AFTER THE RUNNING KNEE, CATCHES UP AND GRABS ASHLYNN, TOSSING HER DOWN FROM THE STAGE! ASHLYNN ROLLS DOWN THE WALKWAY AND ENDS UP LYING ON THE GROUND IN FRONT OF THE RING!
Eve: Donovan, with frustration, throws Harley back into the ring and follows him inside. He rolls back to his feet and backs himself into the corner, waiting for Harley, who is slowly trying to recover from the beatdown he took earlier in this match. Donovan pops out of the corner, looking for AN EARLY ATTEMPT AT THE ‘DEALER’S CHOICE’ SPINNING BACK FIST, BUT HARLEY DUCKS UNDER, AND IT HITS LEXI, WHO JUST ROLLED BACK INTO THE RING INSTEAD!
Gavin Kirkland: Damn you, Donovan! Don’t do Lexi like that, or I’m going to get into the ring and cause you to lose your opportunity to enter the CITV match instead! Donovan looks down at Lexi and considers going for a pin on her instead after that, but Harley grabs Donovan, trying to throw him to the outside so he can pick up the win. However, Donovan reverses the position and throws Harley over the ropes instead. Harley lands on both feet on the apron, Donovan turns back around and goes for a forearm at Harley, but HARLEY DUCKS UNDER, PULLS THE ROPE, AND HITS DONOVAN WITH A ROUNDHOUSE KICK!
Deadprez: Donovan falls back to the middle of the ring, holding his face that just took a kick, before HARLEY FLIES OFF THE ROPES AND QUICKLY CONNECTS WITH A SPRINGBOARD LARIAT, DROPPING DONOVAN TO THE GROUND! HARLEY ISN’T DONE THERE AND NOW STARTS FIRING BACK AT DONOVAN, SEEKING REDEMPTION FOR WHAT DONOVAN DID TO HIM EARLIER! HARLEY MOUNTS DONOVAN AND DELIVERS PUNCHES AND ELBOWS ACROSS HIS FACE!
Eve: Donovan is not in the position where he put Harley earlier as he tries to get out of there and fight back, but Harley keeps him down. Harley stops throwing hands, grabs Donovan, and uses both knees to place them behind his back, STRETCHING AND TURNING DONOVAN INTO A BOW AND ARROW SUBMISSION HOLD!
Gavin Kirkland: It applies! Donovan is now locked in a Bow and Arrow submission hold, with Harley torturing him and making sure that he won’t fulfill his dream of being a part of Cash in the Vault this year! Donovan is in serious trouble!
Deadprez: Let’s not forget that Ashlynn is still on her feet as she rolls back into the ring and breaks up the submission hold right before Harley could stretch it out any further. Ashlynn then picks up Harley and quickly throws him down to the outside, but Harley bounces off the ropes, comes back, and takes down Ashlynn with a European Uppercut… BUT ASHLYNN GRABS HIS ARM, SEIZES HIM, AND TURNS HIM INTO A ROLL-UP-
Gavin Kirkland: But Harley kicks out right before the referee could even start the count. Both of them get back to their feet, and Harley throws a punch again, but ASHLYNN CATCHES IT, LIFTS HIM OFF THE GROUND, AND DROPS HIM WITH A NORTHERN LIGHTS SUPLEX!
Deadprez: Lexi is finally recovered and gets back to her feet, backing herself into the corner and waiting for Ashlynn to come back. Ashlynn regains her footing, turning back around as LEXI GOES FOR THE ‘LIGHTS OUT’ SUPERKICK THAT COULD POTENTIALLY END IT ALL, BUT ASHLYNN MANAGES TO CATCH HER LEG BEFORE DROPPING LEXI WITH ANOTHER NORTHERN LIGHTS SUPLEX, JUST LIKE SHE DID EARLIER ON THE STAGE!
Eve: And here comes Donovan Duke, who has recovered from the short beatdown that Harley gave him. He turns Ashlynn around and jumps up for a Dropkick, but Ashlynn moves out of harm’s way. She seizes Donovan from behind, ATTEMPTING TO HIT HIM WITH A GERMAN SUPLEX, BUT DONOVAN COUNTERS WITH A BACK ELBOW! He lands on both feet, turns back around, and GOES FOR THE ‘DEALER’S CHOICE’ SPINNING BACK FIST AGAIN, BUT ASHLYNN DUCKS AND QUICKLY TURNS HIM INTO ANOTHER NORTHERN LIGHTS SUPLEX!

Deadprez: Here comes Lexi rising from behind, seizing Harley and turning him around for an Imperer DDT to plant him, but Harley shakes himself, lands both feet, twists her arm out, and CONNECTS WITH A EUROPEAN UPPERCUT FOLLOWED BY A PELE KICK, sending Lexi stumbling back to the ropes! Eve: Donovan now starts capitalizing himself, coming back to his feet and walking straight to Harley, trying to seize him for a Dragon Suplex from behind, but Harley struggles, sending him rolling to the front and back to his feet. Donovan rolls as he returns and turns back around to go for a clothesline on Harley, but HARLEY DRIVES A KICK TO DONOVAN’S GUT, PULLING HIM AND DROPPING HIM TO THE GROUND WITH A QUICK NECKBREAKER!
Gavin Kirkland: Harley manages to take everybody out this time and is now heading towards the corner in front of him, leaning his back against it and targeting Lexi this time. Lexi tries to recover from the earlier attacks, turning back around to face Harley. Harley bursts out of the corner, looking for a Leg Sweep to SET UP ‘SLIDE IN THE DMS,’ BUT LEXI JUMPS OVER HIS KICK, STEPS IN, AND QUICKLY HITS HARLEY WITH A SNAP DDT!

Eve: In the ring, Donovan, Lexi, and Ashlynn are the remaining competitors. Lexi rolls away from Donovan, quickly getting back to her feet near the ropes. She looks back at Donovan and attempts to deliver her ‘Lights Out’ Superkick to knock him out cold right there…. HOWEVER, DONOVAN CATCHES HER WITH HIS OWN SUPERKICK, CAUSING LEXI TO STUMBLE BACK AND FALL ONTO THE ROPES! Deadprez: Ashlynn now faces Donovan, but Donovan doesn’t let her even stand tall on both feet before quickly grabbing her, attempting to take her down with a Belly-to-Belly Suplex! He’s a man with tactics, so strategizing like this isn’t something strange; it’s a smart move for sure. Harley thinks for a moment, but then he sees Lexi before picking her up and throwing her back into the ring. I’m quite curious about his plan right now.
Gavin Kirkland: We’re not sure either, but we just have to see what tricks he has up his sleeve. (We cut to the office of Kennedy Street, the woman herself pacing, which in recent weeks seems to be a common theme. She’s not happy, and it doesn’t take a genius to figure out why. Drake Armstrong is with her, and as always is trying to make her feel better, but this time massages and feet rubs just ain’t going to cut it, it seems.)
Kennedy Street: Why? Why did she agree to this and then not follow through with it? If you are going to make a challenge like this and involve me, you’d better make damn sure you win. And now look at her, look at where she is now.
Drake Armstrong: I’m sure Pandora had your best intentions at heart. She was trying to help.
Kennedy Street: Perhaps Honey, but now I have to dirty my hands on that tramp for no good reason other than she has a bug up her ass about Disney. (Chris stares at Drake, but walks over to Kennedy’s desk, Kennedy sitting on the edge of it and crossing her long legs. Chris doesn’t hide the fact that he looks, and Kennedy doesn’t hide the fact that she notices him looking.)

(Chris nods his head, starting to understand what she is saying.)

Deadprez: Looks like the Major is ready but he has a noticeable limp as we have heard word there was some sort of accident outside of the ring.
Eve: Looks that way, and knowing Caroline, she will attack that. This is his Unique Opportunity that he won and Kennedy promised him a title match and I must say, she delivered.
Gavin Kirkland: I heard he was doing drills outside in his backyard and fell in the empty pool.

Eve: And we are off! The crowd is behind Major right now, and they’re all hyping him up! He has his boys in the audience, the marines who were with him out there in the field for the biggest match of his life. We got a sold out Smoothie King Center with tons of Marines in the audience! This man is a legitimate draw, and it’s showing here! With the crowd behind him, it’s clear that he has the home advantage tonight! Caroline is looking vicious, though, as the two of them decide to tie up!
Gavin Kirkland: Michael easily overpowers her, throwing her over his head with a Judo technique! Doesn’t seem like Caroline is winning the exchange so far, as she tries to out wrestle him again but Michael easily swerves past her and manages to bring her down to the mat!
Deadprez: You have to wonder if Caroline is working to her strengths here? Doesn’t seem like she is, as she’s trying to out wrestle somebody much larger than her! Perhaps the occasion is getting to her and she wants to outclass Major in damn near everything!
Eve: Caroline tries to go for an ankle pick and the injured leg, but Major is aware of that and easily dodges the attack, as Caroline is left grabbing air! Major turns and wraps his leg around Caroline’s neck, going for a roll-up pin early on in the match!

Gavin Kirkland: Kickout! Caroline is stunned! She was kept for that long while she was still fresh, which is a testament to Michael’s strength, even while injured! However, Caroline spots the knee and it’s clear what she might target later on in this match! Perhaps we might see a different outcome if Caroline takes a far different approach!
Deadprez: She tries to tie up, but Major falls for the feint! She ducks under and strikes Major right in the knee! Caroline is going for it this early on and you have to figure out if she’s trying to end it early right here! Major takes it, and Caroline goes for another kick, but Major uses his hands to block it! He’s doing quite well so far, but Caroline goes for a right hook, Major ducks and he’s met with a spinning back elbow!
(The Major staggers back stunned, holding his face.)
Eve: Caroline runs the ropes and she tries to go for the knee again, but Michael is way too experienced! He dodges the knee attack and easily pushes Caroline against the turnbuckle! He reels the hand back and the chop connects! Caroline definitely felt that as she’s slightly staggering forward! Not looking good, especially with Michael as your opponent!
Gavin Kirkland: And Major puts her down with an Osoto-Gari! So far, this has been all Major in this grappling exchange, maybe that is because of his leg and he is not willing to let Caroline get her rest right now! She is getting drowned by the Major right now and this is so far looking like Major wants it, bad! Can this change, though?
Deadprez: I’m thinking it could! We have seen Caroline be in a less than advantageous position in the past and manage to get out of it with ease! So far, this is something she is not new to! After all, being the New Breed Champion means you face so many different people! Caroline will eventually figure him out, but it’s also up to Major’s skill now!
Eve: I’ll be very honest with you right now, man, I’m not sure if Caroline is going to be able to get out of Major’s strength! Reminder, she’s on HIS show. OUR show. I got Major winning this and kicking Caroline’s ass back to Dynasty and bringing the New Breed Championship over to our mother{BLEEP] side. Major is drowning her right now, and he’s keeping her locked up! Not looking so good for Caroline right now, to be honest!
Gavin Kirkland: Damn, what’s all the hate for? I will agree though, Caroline might have not expected Major to come out like this, especially with dealing with a massive injury! Well, not that bad if he’s able to wrestle, but an injury is still an injury after all! Major picks her up but Caroline manages to send a headbutt, freeing herself!
Deadprez: Could she come back right here? I’m thinking that she possibly could! Major comes in and he’s itching to get a piece of his own again but Caroline slips under a right hook and strikes Major right in the liver! That didn’t faze him now, but those liver shots can be deadly later on, especially the more Caroline decides to target it!
Eve: Michael is one tough son of a gun, he won’t back down that easily! You’re underestimating that man, and it’s kind of disappointing I won’t lie. Caroline comes back with a roundhouse kick to Michael’s face, but he dodges it and tries to pick her up into a wheelbarrow position— doesn’t work, the leg gives out!
(Caroline smirks and takes advantage of it.)
Gavin Kirkland: It seems that Caroline is using her speed to her advantage, taking every opportunity she has and manages to roll and come back with another kick to Michael’s bad leg. Michael is starting to feel it, but he keeps coming forward! Caroline’s a heavy hitter, but Michael has an iron jaw! She goes for right hook, but Michael eats it! So far, Michael is looking like a typical Marine roadman!
Deadprez: For some reason, that’s both an insult and a compliment. Those boys have tough chins, and can’t lie. Caroline is pressing forward, trying to outstrike Michael, but Michael is strong and manages to throw a straight right—
Eve: MISSES! THAT JUST MISSED! WHAT? If he landed that shot, it would’ve been game over for Caroline! Caroline turns around and she strikes him dead in the nose with a Pele Kick! She’s using her superior gymnastics and athleticism to catch Major off guard, as Major is trying to keep coming forward! Caroline sees this, and she immediately rolls under a clothesline attempt from Major and hits him with a backbreaker!
Gavin Kirkland: What a backbreaker from Caroline! Major is down, and he’s trying to get up! The crowd is biting their nails as Caroline is blowing them all a kiss! She’s about to end their hero’s dreams and wishes right here, right now! Kind of a bad thing to do, if you ask me! These people love Michael!
Crowd: MAJOR!!! MAJOR!!! MAJOR!!! MAJOR!!!
Deadprez: The crowd is jeering her, and it is very clear that they do not like her in the least bit. Major is pushing in repeatedly and he’s trying to get himself up, but Caroline kicks him in the back of the head! Major is down, and now it’s Caroline going for the cover! Can she end the match right here?

Eve: No! Michael stays alive, for some reason. He’s not looking to budge nor give up that opportunity to have gold around his arm easily! Caroline is also looking to win as well and keep that title in a place that she isn’t all too familiar with right now! Major pulls himself up, and Caroline is looking at him like she’s somewhat impressed! She should be!
Gavin Kirkland: Yeah, definitely. Michael is a monster for being able to take on that many shots that easily and still be able to get up. At this point, just give him a trophy if he loses! Michael stands up and now they’re staring down, but Caroline slaps him in the face— NO! Michael grabs ahold of her hand and he’s pulling it, he’s making her suffer! Caroline is simply struggling right now!
Deadprez: You might be exaggerating just a tad bit there, Gavin. He’s not making her suffer like she’s being burned alive, but rather he’s showing his strength! That old man’s strength is coming through, and yet Caroline shows no fear as she rolls again, before locking her legs around Michael’s neck and tossing him with a Hurricarana! What a display of agility from the New Breed Champion!
Eve: So far, this is not working in Michael’s favour! He’s clearly getting outclassed when it comes to speed, but he’s able to out grapple her when it comes to strength! I know that tactical mindset is starting to show again, but it will be interesting to see if he can apply it tonight! Caroline sees him get up, and she targets the knee yet again, going for a swerve as she strikes him with a chop block! Damn, that looked brutal!
Gavin Kirkland: And Caroline comes in, stomping on that knee again and again! We’re seeing some specks of blood start to pour through that bandage, and Caroline is smiling! She enjoys this! She enjoys the pain that she is putting Michael through and it doesn’t seem like she wants to stop at all! They are very different individuals, and if it was Michael here, he wouldn’t be playing dirty like this!
Deadprez: I don’t know, man. If you want something that bad, you’re willing to do anything to get it. Michael and Caroline are putting on quite the show here, as the referee has to separate the two! He’s checking on Michael, who seems to not be in good shape right now! He’s holding his knee and bad leg while Caroline cackles! The referee is now talking to Michael!
Referee: (Off Mic) Are you alright? Can you continue? If you can’t, I’ll have to call this match off.
(Michael continues to groan in pain.)
Referee: (Off Mic) C’mon man. Your knee isn’t doing so well. You shouldn’t even be here right now–
(Michael grabs the referee’s hand, before putting his other palm around his head.)
Major Michael Scott Connor: (off Mic) I can do this. Let me do this.
(The referee signals to continue the match, but Caroline is vicious.)
Eve: And Caroline comes in with a devastating knee to the face! Michael is clearly taking a beating here, as Caroline tries to pull him! Michael uses his good leg to kick her off, and he easily sweeps her! Now it’s Caroline that’s down, and she’s trying to escape his armbar attempt, to no avail! If he can’t outclass her in terms of speed, he has to outclass her in terms of overall strength! This is something that Michael will definitely need to do if he wants to win that title tonight!
Gavin Kirkland: Dude, what is going on here? Michael is pulling everything out in his arsenal, and we’re only halfway into this match! Caroline is trying to grip her other hand, but Michael manages to hold that arm again and pulls it back with force! This is insane for Michael! He’s giving her the same viciousness that she showed him earlier in this match, wait no— just a few minutes ago!
Deadprez: C’mon, Gavin. Keep track of the time better. That’s our job, can you do that? Anyways, Michael seems to have control of Caroline on the ground, as she’s reaching for the ropes— but no! She realises she has to roll him up, and she manages to do so, but Michael kicks her off immediately! He might have messed up though, as he hit her with his bad knee! Caroline is smiling, knowing that that didn’t have any power!
Eve: She’s off of him, sure, but that’s not good. Caroline comes in and she grabs the leg, as Michael is trying to free himself, but Caroline is too fast! She immediately applies a figure four leg lock, attempting to make the knee snap in two! Perhaps she shouldn’t be doing that submission and rather try something else? Who’s her trainer? Clearly not doing very well when it comes to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
Gavin Kirkland: What do you know about BJJ, Eve?
Eve: I have a black belt, Gavin.
Deadprez: Oh, Gavin, you’re the only person in this commentary team who doesn’t know how to fight like that. Shame. Old man and you’ve never once learned how to fight in your entire life. Anyways dawg, it seems like it’s doing pretty well, but Caroline transitions into a knee bar! Now that’s going to definitely hurt!
Eve: Is Michael going to tap here? He’s itching to, but it seems like he can’t give up. He’s come too far to give up right now, and if he’s going to lose, he’s going to lose the honorable way! Caroline is pulling it hard, but Michael is breathing in and out. He’s trying to stay calm amidst the pain and the pressure, and perhaps this is the best thing for him to do! Caroline is confused with what he’s doing, but it seems like it’s starting to wear her grip out, as she has to let go! That’s mediation, you goddamn witch!
Gavin Kirkland: Damn, Eve. Relax. You could probably jump in there and mess her up with your black belt by watching Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu videos. Probably can’t beat me in a fight, to be honest. You just suck. I’mma win. Michael is holding that knee, as he steps up with a limp! It seems like he’s just trying to get through this right now and hopefully manage to pull off a win with a bad knee injury! Caroline pulls him towards her, as she drives her leg down for the VINTAGE CAROLINE!
Deadprez: Now it’s Caroline going for the cover again! This time, Major has to actually stay alert! Perhaps this might not be the right time to be breathing in Kundalini exercises! Now she’s got the shoulders down! Can she finish him off?

He kicks the back of the knee and that gives Caroline quite some pain here! She’s trying to not show it, but Michael knows what’s going on here! He’s locking in a Bow and Arrow! Deadprez: Oh, this is getting good. Caroline is finally the one that’s suffering here, as she’s trying to reach for the ropes but she can’t! Welcome to Showdown, baby! Real wrestling over here! Caroline tries to reach for the ropes but she can’t again! Major is too strong with that pull! So far, not good. Now Major transitions into a rear naked choke and he’s trying to block her airway!
Eve: YES! GET HER MAJOR! You got this, this is all you right now! This is your match to win, and you are going to win this no matter what! So far, this looks like Major might pull off the victory here! Caroline is seeming to fade here, but not yet! Her arm is still stable, and Major might’ve overlooked the fact that Caroline has her hand on the rope!
Gavin Kirkland: Oh. She did that. Oof, not good. Caroline is too flexible and she comes back with a kick to his gut! Major decides to try to go for a clothesline, but Caroline hits him with a knee to the gut! Major was too slow because of his knee, and Caroline wraps her arm around his head, as she slams him down for a SONG OF FIRE AND ICE! HEADLOCK DRIVER TAKES MAJOR OUT! SHE’S GOING FOR THE COVER!

Gavin Kirkland: Now you’re just gassing us up. She’s the New Breed Champion for a reason. The Marines look disappointed, but they’re cheering their brother on!
(‘Complete Collapse’ by Sleeping with Sirens plays through the speakers as the Showdown crowd boos when suddenly….)
Deadprez: CAROLINE ATTACKS THE MAJOR! SHE IS KICKING HIS KNEE AND LEG! DRAGGING HIM TO THE MIDDLE OF THE RING, SHE LOCKS IN THE LEG BETWEEN HERS AND HITS A LEG BREAKER!
Eve: THIS IS UNNECESSARY! THE MAJOR FOUGHT HIS ASS OFF INJURED AND CAROLINE IS NOW LOCKING IN A CALF CRUSHER! SHE IS LOOKING TO BREAK THIS MAN’S LEG!

(The Major screams in pain trying his best to reach the ropes, but he refuses to tap as a Marine and just screams when suddenly the crowd erupts in cheers.)

(Caroline grabs her New Breed Championship and stares at Hans before simply walking out through the entrance ramp, smiling as everyone else is left disappointed. Major is being tended to by Hans and the referee and now the other medics as well as the camera shifts backstage.)
(With Holly Arrow versus Jake Smith imminent, we cut to the back where Kyra Phillips is standing by waiting with none other than POTARA the Undisputed Tag Team Champions. Holly has the adrenaline pumping with her match up next, a match that she wants to win so badly, and Harper seems ready to share that success.)
Kyra Phillips: Holly, Harper, thank you for joining me. I know you are on next Holly so I’ll try and keep this brief. I wanted to ask you both about the huge four-way match up that will take place at Pain for Pride, and if you believe you are going to walk away from that match still champions.
Harper Lee: I’ll take this one Holly…
(Holly nods, as Harper continues.)
Harper Lee: Look Kyra, if you didn’t get it before, you should get with the program now. Holly and I ARE the best tag team in the World, that cannot be denied. No one expected us here, but now that we are, you should all have figured it out. POTARA is here to stay, and Pain for Pride won’t be changing that.
Kyra Phillips: But there are three teams who all…
Harper Lee: …All believe that they are the best, and I get that. They should. But they are wrong Kyra. We have the title, we have the gold, and it is up to them to take it from us, but they won’t. We have worked so hard for this, done countless work in the gym to forge our tag team so that we act like one. Now we are here, quite simply we are not letting go. It’s as simple as that.
Holly Arrow: We know how good these teams are…
(Holly interjects, which seems to surprise both Harper and Kyra.)
Holly Arrow: … and we know that Off-Brand Amphetamines, the Jaded Hearts and Dominion all believe that it is their time. But I’m afraid that it isn’t. When Harper and I became the Champions we promised ourselves one thing. That we wouldn’t shrug a single challenge as a means to drive our point home every single title defense. We want to face, and beat them all, and doing so on the grand stage of Pain for Pride, well after that, NO-ONE will be able to question us ever again. And when I beat Jake Smith, the Answers World Champion, in just a few short moments, that will be another question answered in full.
Harper Lee: Holly and I are proud to be the Undisputed Tag Team Champions Kyra, and we will defend them anywhere, and against anyone. And that ain’t changing anytime soon.

(A huge roar greets DOMINION stepping into shot, Xander Payne and Ryan Wilson affording themselves a smile at the reaction from the arena, though the reaction from POTARA is a little cooler.)
Harper Lee: You know something Holly, I knew I smelt something, I thought it was your new perfume.
Xander Payne: Yeah, laugh it up girls. You’ll be laughing the other side of your face at Pain for Pride.
Holly Arrow: We don’t have to worry too much about that.
Ryan Wilson: You reckon, but we know those titles are ours, and there isn’t anything you can do to stop us.
Harper Lee: Xander, could you keep the lap dog on the leash. He’s starting to look a little bitey.
Xander Payne: He’s only stating the truth Harper. We’ve worked hard on putting our faults right and are a more cohesive team than ever. We are ready to do whatever it takes to win, and you won’t have enough to stop us.
Holly Arrow: I mean, we’ve kind of heard that before, and yet here we are. Still Champions.
Ryan Wilson: And yet, you still have that element of doubt don’t you? In Harper I mean.
Harper Lee: Oh come on Ryan, you’re better than that.
Ryan Wilson: History states that Harper Lee doesn’t play well with others. I mean, Territorial Invasion anyone?
Holly Arrow: Yeah, and Ryan Wilson has proven himself to be more than trustworthy right?
Xander Payne: Come now, this petty squabbling is a bad look for Showdown. Ryan, it’s obvious that the girls are starting to feel the pressure get to them, of course it is. This is us we are talking about.
Ryan Wilson: You’re right of course, we shouldn’t be so hard on them seeing as they are going to experience the loss not us.
Harper Lee: You guys are unbelievable
Ryan Wilson: Why thank you
Harper Lee: No seriously, I don’t think I have ever come across two people as deluded as the two of you. I mean, if you are as good in the ring as you are with words, I don’t think Holly and I are going to have too much trouble. At least the Jaded Hearts and Off-Brand Amphetamines will stop it degenerating into a farce.
Xander Payne: It’s the two of you that are deluded
Holly Arrow: No, you just can’t take it that WE are the ‘Best in the World’ and it isn’t some stupid little gimmick like yours was.
Xander Payne: We’ll see how much of a gimmick it was at Pain for Pride.

Xander Payne: Enjoy those titles ‘POTARA’, because in just a few weeks, they are coming home with us. We stopped DEVOLUTION, and next we stop you, and become the Undisputed Tag Team Champions.

Harper Lee: Come on Holly, let’s leave these two clowns in our rearview, just like we will at Pain for Pride.
(Harper and Holly walk off towards the gorilla position, Ryan and Xander both turning towards Kyra who has hung around however irrelevant she had become.)
Xander Payne: Nothing is going to stop us from taking those titles.
Ryan Wilson: We deserve them, and now we are taking them.

(Xander and Ryan both walk off, leaving Kyra more than a little perplexed as it fades to ringside and Gina Romano.)

(“Sweet Dreams” by the Eurythmics plays throughout the arena as Harper Lee walks out with Holly Arrow. She high fives a few fans after posing in the entranceway. The two ladies make it into the ring as they await their opponent.)
Jake Smith: POTARA looking good as always. Holly will forgive me for what happened earlier, they are two beautiful and kind women. The champs!
Deadprez: I was going to ask.

(“You Know My Name” by Chris Cornell plays throughout the arena as they break out in cheers, Adam Lucas slowly walks out and points at the fans before heading to the ring.)
Gina Romano: HER OPPONENT! HE HAILS FROM NEW YORK CITY, NY.! WEIGHING IN AT 231 POUNDS! “THE NEXT LEVEL”….. ADAM LUCAS!!!!!
(The crowd continues to cheer as Adam makes his way to the ring and stops to stare at jake.)
Jake Smith: You have a match, it’s not about me tonight. Get in the ring!
(Adam smirks and rolls in, posing to the fans as they cheer.)
Deadprez: The jaw-jacking has already started and here we go!
(The referee calls for the bell.)

Eve: And here we go!! This highly anticipated match is underway, as both Adam Lucas nor Harper Lee have taken their eyes off of each other since the opening bell. They circle around the ring, pacing around before moving over to the center, where they engage into a lockup to start, both looking to fight for control; and both of these Elitists are finding a way to both hold their ground fairly well in these starting moments of this match.
Deadprez: But it looks like it is going to be Adam Lucas who is able to take the early advantage over the much smaller figure that he is going up against, quickly exploding out of the lockup before throwing Harper over into a side headlock! Harper is struggling to get a way to escape out of it, but she is able to slip her head out, before grabbing Adam by the arm and twisting it around; only for Adam to catch her off guard with a back elbow right to the face.
Gavin Kirkland: This forces one half of the Tag Team Champions to let go of the arm, stumbling backward into the rope to get her composure back. But it looks like Adam Lucas isn’t going to let her get that breathing room, quickly closing in the distance, AS HE CATCHES HER WITH AN UPPERCUT RIGHT TO THE JAW! Harper looks dazed from that, as Adam grabs her by the wrist, locking it before irish whipping her into the ropes… BUT IT IS HARPER LEE WHO RESPONDS BACK WITH A DROPKICK, KNOCKING THE KING OF ELITE WINNER OFF OF HIS FEET!
Jake Smith: There is no doubt that Adam Lucas is one hell of a talent, but the same settlement can be said for Harper Lee, and both members of POTARA for that matter; and it shows, when I fought to a no contest against my own girlfriend Holly Arrow earlier in the night. Adam has a really tough challenge tonight.
Eve: You can say that again, Jake. As it seems that Harper Lee have found herself in the right position to take control of this match, quickly mounting on top of Adam to make sure that he doesn’t get any room to breathe, before she lifts herself up for a moment; DRIVING HER KNEE RIGHT INTO ADAM’S RIB CAGE! You could hear the cry of agony followed by a painful groan from Adam once Harper’s knee got driven right into his rib cage, and it looks like Harper is going to swoop in for the early cover!

Deadprez: But Adam Lucas is able to power out of it! Harper realizes that she is going to have to do a whole lot more than just that to be able to keep Adam down, and I thought that she understands, as she quickly slips back up to her feet, before booting Adam right into the face, making sure that she can keep Adam grounded. (“Partition (Smearcase Trap Remix)” by Beyonce begins to blast through the sound system inside of the Smoothie King Center. The crowd rises to their feet, ready to greet the Hall of Fame Elitist as soon as she steps on stage. And Kassidy doesn’t really waste any time when it comes to walking out. She is dressed in a pair of short, faux leather red shorts, a sleeveless black crop top, and open-toed, black leather lace up booties. Her hair is pulled back from her face in a long, sleek ponytail, and she looks to be all business as she begins to make her way to the ring.)
Gavin Kirkland: Well pardon my French Disney, but the shit hit the fan last weekend at Fighting Spirit as the investigation into who attacked Kassidy Heart back at Reasonable Doubt finally came to a shocking end.
Eve: As Kassidy staked her claim to the Universal Women’s Championship come Pain for Pride, the investigator that has been on her case, Richard Tracie, came out. He wasted little time in rolling the footage, showing plain as day that the person who assaulted Kassidy back at Reasonable Doubt was none other than the woman she had just challenged, Dr. Bethany Blue.
Deadprez: What followed was Bethany hitting ‘The Code Blue’ on Kassidy and crushing her head into the mat. Needless to say, what already was an ugly situation has turned downright volatile.
Eve: And as we already saw before Showdown even went on the air, Kassidy is fired up and looking to get Dr. Blue’s blood on her hands.
(When Kassidy enters the ring, she is given a microphone, and as her music fades out, the camera catches her taking several deep breaths in an attempt to calm herself down. The situation between her and Bethany is extremely personal now and for the first time in a long time, Kassidy looks extremely frustrated and upset.)
Kassidy Heart: I’m not sure where to even start because truly, I have no idea what I’m supposed to feel. What started as a euphoric moment that saw me win Grand Rampage, thus granting me a world championship shot of my choice at Pain for Pride, has morphed into something so ugly that the Universal Women’s Championship doesn’t really matter to me right now. I am beyond angry at Bethany Blue’s actions and I refuse to believe that Adam Lucas is innocent when it comes to this situation. But do you know what stings more than knowing I was actually someone’s victim?
(Kassidy pauses for a moment and takes a deep breath. For once, the audience is quiet. They know they are looking at a woman they are supposed to loathe but at the same time can’t help but respect in some capacity. If nothing else, Kassidy Heart has proven herself as a fighter and someone who gives it her all inside the ring and they can’t help but recognize that.)
Kassidy Heart: The fact that I didn’t put this all together myself.
(That causes the crowd to murmur. Kassidy starts to pace the ring.)
Kassidy Heart: There’ve been a few times in my career where I felt the energy was off and when I woke up the morning of Reasonable Doubt, I felt a chill in the air. I tried to shake it off, and I certainly didn’t mention it to anyone in my inner circle because I wasn’t in the mood to deal with their reactions, but it was there. It lingered. It got stronger the closer I got to the Ball Arena and I certainly couldn’t blame it on the altitude. I had spent the entire week in Colorado at our lodge, being prepped for battle, and adjusting to the unique conditions that come with being in an area like Denver. Something was going to happen; I just knew it. But what I didn’t bank on is something happening to me BEFORE the match. My peers are stupid, but surely they’re not that stupid, right? It sickens me that I put myself in such a vulnerable position and didn’t entertain the thought that someone would be so driven by their hatred towards me that they would attempt to ruin my career before I could even climb into the ring. Bethany’s actions back at Reasonable Doubt were unforgivable. EVERYONE knows that I don’t tolerate fuckery, and I certainly will not tolerate someone costing me a win that I absolutely deserved to have. Adam Lucas is a bleeding heart, but in no world is he better than me. I know you sheep love him, but I refuse to believe he had no knowledge of what his wife was going to do, and honestly? I should have put the pieces together. That was mistake number two on my part. I put myself in a vulnerable position and then I overlooked the writing on the wall. After everything that has gone down between Bethany and myself in the past, I never thought she would be dumb enough to come back for another round. I know she felt humiliated by me way back at Road to Redemption 2020. She had Gavin’s cum-filled sock shoved in her mouth and it doesn’t get any more degrading than that. That’s why I assumed she would stay out of my way because all things considered, she knows not to mess with me.
(Kassidy stops moving around and purses her lips. It’s obvious to everyone in New Orleans that they are witnessing a ticking time bomb inside the ring. Few people have ever gotten the better of the great Kassidy Heart and the Hall of Famer isn’t happy about Bethany being added to that shortlist whatsoever.)
Kassidy Heart: But to my complete and utter surprise, she fired the first shot. The second I threw my name into the hat for Grand Rampage, I knew what the plan for me was going to be. I was never going to let my goal of being the first LEGITIMATE two-time Universal Women’s Champion go and since Bethany successfully defended against ARIA, she had to be the target. I wasn’t sorry to know that I was going to be the person cutting her long-awaited world championship run short. You guys know that’s something I’m never going to care about. To me, it was just business, but obviously that’s no longer the case. Thanks to stupid Bethany, this has taken a very personal turn and when I feel this much emotion about something, it’s not a good thing. I am furious. I am frustrated. I am angry at myself. I want to legitimately kill her. The Universal Women’s Championship might be on the line come Pain for Pride, but if things go my way, that ignorant cunt won’t even make it to Nashville. That’s how enraged I am right now. The audacity of Bethany Blue, someone who’s not fit to lace my fucking boots, taking a brick to my head and attempting to end my career.
(At this point, Kassidy is red in the face, which is something people aren’t used to seeing. In interviews and during her videos, she’s usually calmer and more controlled; her words calculated and designed to hurt. It’s clear she’s shooting straight tonight, not caring what repercussions her words might have. All that’s on her mind is revenge and getting the better of Dr. Bethany Blue.)
Kassidy Heart: I’m not going to let that slide. If I allow someone like Bethany to get away with her actions, the rest of the world is going to assume it’s okay to target me. They’re going to see that I am weak and that I am not the competitor that I used to be. Trust me, it’s been a hell of a struggle this season to let the little things slide. I’ve heard the snarky comments from my peers. I’ve seen the way people have been eyeing me up. I came into this season with a chip on my shoulder due to what happened at last year’s Pain for Pride, and the way I was treated by the Showdown lockerroom isn’t something I am happy about. They saw an opportunity to make their name off of mine, and I had to work hard in an effort to squash that. Of course, things came up that took me away from my goal of capturing world championship number three, but I still handled that business. I set a goal to rid Showdown of Hurricane Hawk and I followed through, and after that, I knew it was time. I continued to put down everyone who got in my way, and of course, I won Grand Rampage. Go big or go home has always been my motto so of course in order to win that elusive third world title, I had to do it in the biggest way possible. But here we are. Thanks to Bethany, just winning isn’t enough now. If I don’t hurt her, I’m not going to be satisfied. If I have built my reputation on anything, it’s the fact that I always follow through on my promises. When I set my mind out to do something, I do it, and that’s not something anyone can deny. (The cameras follow both women backstage but much to Kassidy’s horror, several members of her team are waiting for her, along with security. Bethany heads right to Adam Lucas’ lockerroom and slams the door shut, while Kassidy attempts to bolt past arena security, but it’s her own bodyguard, Knox, who grabs her around the waist and keeps her from following Bethany. Kassidy kicks and screams, trying to throw herself towards the door, but it’s no use.)

(Impact enters the ring and takes his corner as his entrance music fades off. Seconds later, “It Follows” by Cane Hill starts playing as Xander Payne enters the arena while being followed behind by his tag team partner Ryan Joseph Wilson. Xander looks down the ramp as he and Ryan head to the ring.)

Gavin Kirkland: Here comes one half of DOMINION in Xander ready to take on Impact here tonight and he is looking to build up some momentum for DOMINION as they head to Pain for Pride.
Eve: Especially with the high stakes that DOMINION has at Pain for Pride. They win and they become the Unified Tag Team Championships. They lose and DOMINION is DONE with Ryan Joseph Wilson is off of Showdown.
Deadprez: High stakes match for DOMINION at Pain for Pride and tonight Xander Payne looks to gain some momentum for the team as they head to Pain for Pride. Will the Hall of Famer Xander Payne be able to defeat another Hall of Famer in Impact? We are about to find out!
(Xander enters the ring and takes his corner while Ryan takes his place at ringside as Xander’s entrance music fades off. The referee checks both competitors before they call for the bell.)

Deadprez: Here we go!! Main event is underway. Two Hall of Famers fighting it out for momentum and in ring superiority. Both men get right to business and lock up in the center of the ring.
Eve: Right now Impact takes the early advantage and muscles Xander into the ropes and causes the ref to force an immediate break. Both men look at each other cautiously thinking the other might try to pull a fast one—
Gavin Kirkland: But we get a clean break from both competitors. When you have two Hall of Fame caliber athletes in the ring, you really don’t need to result in underhanded tactics to get ahead.
Eve: That won’t stop them from taking a chance if an opening comes up. Right now both men are back in the center of the ring AND WE HAVE A TEST OF STRENGTH!! The knuckle lock is applied and both men are trying to get the advantage over the other.
Deadprez: WE HAVE A STALEMATE AT THE MOMENT! Neither man is giving an inch to the other right now in this main event match. Xander might have the advantage with the pure power between the two, but that won’t be the end all be all in this match–
Gavin Kirkland: IMPACT BREAKS THE TEST OF STRENGTH AND KICKS XANDER IN THE GUT! Impact better be careful or he will never get that foot back because Xander will absorb it with that body of his…
Eve: GAVIN! Why in the world would you say something like that? Jokes like that are very immature and completely disrespectful. This is a very serious match that Impact has control of at the moment.
Gavin Kirkland: Come on! I am not the first person to make fun of Xander Payne’s size. Speaking of size, his size isn’t helping right now as he is doubled over and Impact is just clobbering Xander trying to bring him down.
Deadprez: Impact is pounding on Xander’s back and Xander is down to a knee. Now down on both knees and Impact hits the ropes. Impact comes back—
Eve: XANDER PICKS HIM UP WITH THE SCOOP SLAM, BUT THEN XANDER SWINGS HIM INTO THE EXPLODER SUPLEX! WHAT A COUNTER AND IMPACT DID NOT SEE THAT COMING!
Deadprez: How quickly the tides turn in matches like this Xander now has control and Ryan is rooting hit tag team partner on. Xander picks up Impact AND SLAMS HIM BACK DOWN TO THE MAT!
Gavin Kirkland: Now it’s Xander’s turn to hit the ropes. Xander comes back and gets some surprising air time BEFORE HITTING THE LEG DROP ON IMPACT! WHAT A MOVE THAT COULD HAVE BROKEN A BOARD OR TWO UNDER THE RING!
Deadprez: Gavin, you need to be careful or you are going to be reported to HR again, but be that as it may, the leg drop was right across the chest and almost across Impact’s throat. Impact holds his chest as Xander picks him right back up and whips him into the corner.
Eve: Impact hits the corner and Xander comes at full speed AND JUST SQUASHES IMPACT IN THE CORNER WITH AUTHORITY! Xander grabs Impact and keeps him from falling by keeping him standing in the corner.
Gavin Kirkland: Xander leans his head back AND LIGHTS UP IMPACT WITH A KNIFE EDGE CHOP ACROSS THE CHEST! OH MY GAWD THAT SOUNDED PAINFUL! Impact certainly felt that one.
Eve: That isn’t stopping Xander as he puts Impact back in position AND DELIVERS ANOTHER KNIFE EDGE CHOP ACROSS THE CHEST! ANOTHER AND ANOTHER AND ANOTHER! THE MACHINE GUN CHOPS FROM XANDER PAYNE ARE JUST BRUISING AND WELTING IMPACT EARLY ON IN THE MATCH!
Deadprez: HOLY WOW! LOOK AT THE SPLIT SKIN AND BRUISES ALREADY FORMING ON IMPACT’S CHEST! Xander is taking no prisoners in this match as he pulls Impact out of the corner AND CLOBBERS HIM WITH A SHORT ARM CLOTHESLINE! IMPACT CRASHES HARD AS XANDER GOES FOR THE COVER!

Gavin Kirkland: IMPACT POWERS OUT BEFORE TWO! Even though I thought Impact wouldn’t be able to push that kind of weight off his shoulders, Impact isn’t going to lose a match like this that easily, especially since he is looking to get to Pain for Pride and you have to believe Xander knows that too.
Eve: WILL YOU STOP THAT, GAVIN! What is wrong with you, tonight? Anyways, these two are very strategic and calculated veterans of EAW and they don’t do anything on a whim. Right now, Xander is back to his feet AND HE IS JUST PUTTING THE BOOTS TO IMPACT!
(The camera cuts from the action in the ring and cuts to the entrance ramp, where the EAW Unified Tag Team Champions, POTARA, are standing and watching this match.)
Deadprez: Well this is an interesting development right here. Harper Lee and Holly Arrow are here and they are certainly giving this match some extra attention.
Eve: Well they are the Unified Tag Champions and I would probably guess that POTARA is just scouting one of their future challengers to see what they are in for.
Gavin Kirkland: They are in for a bunch of action as we see that Impact is trying to find some way to break away and possibly catch a breather from this initial assault from Xander. Impact is rolling away from Xander and he gets to the ropes and that forces the ref to back Xander away from Impact.
Deadprez: Impact makes it back to his feet on the apron AND XANDER COMES IN AND TRIES TO KNOCK IMPACT OFF THE APRON, BUT IMPACT GETS OUT OF THE WAY AND XANDER BOUNCES INTO THE ROPES!
Eve: Impact grabs Xander and counters with a hangman style move that catches Xander’s throat on the top rope. Impact still has Xander and he grabs Xander’s arm–
Deadprez: IMPACT WITH A HIP TOSS TAKES XANDER RIGHT OVER THE TOP ROPE AND HE CRASHES ONTO THE FLOOR BELOW!! XANDER LANDED HARD ON HIS BACK! Impact is still on the apron and he waits for Xander to get back to his feet.
Gavin Kirkland: Xander is slowly rising back up and Impact is waiting for the right moment to strike. Xander is finally back up AND IMPACT JUMPS OFF THE APRON AND CATCHES XANDER IN THE FACE WITH A SPINNING WHEEL KICK FROM THE APRON!
Deadprez: Xander and Impact crash on the floor with Xander taking most of the damage. Impact took a little damage on the landing, but he has control of the match now. Xander is brought back up to his feet and he is whipped RIGHT INTO THE STEEL RING STEPS!
Eve: Xander’s shoulder went right into the ring steps and what an impact it was… no pun intended. With the force that Xander hit the steps, he sent the steps just tumbling down. That tells you how hard Impact threw Xander right there.
Gavin Kirkland: It tells us that these two will stop at nothing to win this match. Impact has no problems causing pain in any way he can and that’s what he’s doing right now. Ryan is trying to get Xander back into this match, but Xander is moving his shoulder trying to get some of the pain out of it.
Eve: But it won’t be enough time because Impact is right there to bring Xander back to his feet AND HE JUST SENDS XANDER HEAD FIRST INTO THE RING POST! DID YOU HEAR THAT THUD?
Deadprez: Xander could be out on his feet right now, but Impact doesn’t care. Impact grabs Xander by the back of the neck like a cat and tosses him back into the ring as the referee reaches seven on the count before he quickly follows. Impact rolls Xander over and hooks the leg for the cover!

Gavin Kirkland: XANDER KICKS OUT AT TWO! He still might be a little dazed after his head met the ringpost. But Impact looks to do more damage by mounting Xander AND HE IS THROWING LEFTS AND RIGHTS TO XANDER’S SKULL!
Eve: Xander is doing whatever he can to block as many of those punches as the referee tells Impact to open up those closed fists. The referee reaches four and Impact finally obliges. He shoots the referee a look of disgust because Impact is not exactly in the best of moods.
Gavin Kirkland: But he does oblige and doesn’t take the referee out which is always good to see. But that won’t stop the 10 Time World Champion causing more damage to Xander to prove a point. He brings Xander back to his feet, which is a feat of strength in itself, and whips him into the corner.
Deadprez: Gavin, will you quit with the large jokes? They aren’t funny now and they weren’t funny before. Now back to the match. Xander hits the turnbuckles and now it’s Impact’s turn to pull Xander’s head back–
Eve: BAM! THERE IT IS! THERE IS THE FAMOUS HALL OF FAME LEVEL KNIFE EDGE CHOP FROM IMPACT! Impact probably has the best chops in the company and probably this business, but Impact isn’t going to let Xander go.
Deadprez: ANOTHER CHOP FROM IMPACT! THEN ANOTHER! ANOTHER! AND ANOTHER FOR GOOD MEASURE! You know what they say? Turnabout is fair play and Xander got his reciprocation for the chops from earlier.
Gavin Kirkland: That won’t stop Impact for trying a fifth chop, BUT XANDER BLOCKS IT AND THROWS A FOREARM IN IMPACT’S FACE! Now Xander is going into no man’s land by going to the second rope. Why is he going up there?
Deadprez: Those high flying moves aren’t exactly Xander Payne’s forte, but sometimes you have to get out of your standard arsenal and go for moves that keep the opposition guessing and off kilter. Who knows what he has going through his mind right now.
Eve: We won’t find out because XANDER WAS STRUCK IN THE FACE WITH AN UPPERCUT TO THE JAW! THE FORCE OF THE SHOT CAUSES XANDER TO SIT ON THE TOP TURNBUCKLE UNLESS HE WANTS TO LOSE HIS BALANCE!
Gavin Kirkland: Now Impact is standing on the second rope and he has a facelock on Xander. Xander is trying to fight out, BUT IT ISN’T ENOUGH! XANDER WAS TAKEN OFF THE SECOND ROPE WITH A BEAUTIFUL SUPERPLEX BY IMPACT! BOTH MEN CRASH HARD ON THE MAT!
Eve: Both men took damage from that superplex, but Xander got the worst of it. Impact is a little slow to the movement, but he is the first to move and goes right into the cover.

Deadprez: XANDER PAYNE POWERS OUT AT TWO! Ryan Joseph Wilson lets out a breath of relief that Xander kicked out. Both men are still feeling the damage from the superplex and trying to recover as fast as possible.
(The camera cuts back to the entrance and it looks like POTARA is intrigued by how this match has gone thus far.)
Eve: The champs certainly have interesting looks on their faces right now after that kickout. Who knows if it’s a good thing or a bad thing.
Gavin Kirkland: Impact is the first to get back to his feet and he goes to throw a right hand, BUT XANDER BLOCKS IT AND COUNTERS WITH A SHOT TO THE GUT! Xander is back to his feet and Impact goes to throw another right hand, BUT XANDER BLOCKS AGAIN AND PULLS IMPACT IN FOR A HEADBUTT!
Eve: Headbutt was right on the money and it looked like it dazed Impact a bit and Xander whips him into the corner. Xander follows to squash Impact, BUT IMPACT MOVES OUT OF THE WAY AND FINDS NOTHING BUT THE TURNBUCKLES!
Gavin Kirkland: Xander comes stumbling out of the corner and Impact grabs Xander’s head AND GOES FOR THAT RUNNING BULLDOG–
Deadprez: XANDER GETS FREE AND GRABS IMPACT’S WAIST! XANDER LIFTS HIM UP AND XANDER COUNTERS WITH A RELEASE GERMAN SUPLEX! WHAT A COUNTER BY XANDER AND IMPACT WAS DROPPED RIGHT ON THE BACK OF HIS HEAD! WHAT AN UGLY LANDING!
Eve: Xander finally getting his first taste of offense since the early going of this match as he drops to a knee. He is certainly feeling the beatdown he has received so far. Impact is still down as Xander hits the ropes. Xander comes back—
Deadprez: AND XANDER PAYNE WITH A 255 POUND SENTON ON IMPACT! IMPACT CAUGHT ALL OF IT RIGHT ON HIS CHEST! Xander is back up and he drags Impact back up to his feet and Impact has his head down.
Gavin Kirkland: It looked like Xander was going for a powerbomb, but XANDER PICKS UP IMPACT AND HAS HIM OVER HIS SHOULDER! LEGS ARE LOCKED AROUND XANDER’S WAIST AND THAT IS THE GORY SPECIAL BY XANDER PAYNE!
Deadprez: Submission move right here that will torture Impact’s back. The referee is right there asking if Impact wants to give it up, but we know the truth. Impact will never give up a match like this.
Eve: XANDER IS WRENCHING ON HIS ARMS AND THAT IS PUTTING MORE PRESSURE ON IMPACT’S BACK AND IT’S ONLY A MATTER OF TIME AT THIS RATE! Impact needs to think of a way to get free.

Eve: Xander is keeping his cool like the former World Champion that he is and he is just going to stay on the attack. Xander once again brings Impact back to his feet and has his head down once again for a possible powerbomb–
Gavin Kirkland: NOPE! IMPACT IS LIFTED IN THE AIR AND XANDER IS LOOKING FOR A SPIKE PILEDRIVER AND THAT WOULD CERTAINLY FINISH THE MATCH RIGHT THERE–

Deadprez: What an amazing match we just witnessed between two great Hall of Famers here tonight on Showdown. At the end of the day, we have just witnessed one Hall of Famer pin another.
Eve: I agree, Prezzy. It was certainly a treat to witness a match between two competitors at that level here on Showdown. Both men fought hard, but in the end it was Impact who was able to get the win over Xander Payne.
(The referee raises Impact’s arm in victory, but Impact quickly snatches it away from the referee.)
Gavin Kirkland: Impact certainly showed why he is held in such high regard in his career and that experience and skill gave him enough to win the match. I can only wonder what POTARA thinks about what went down.
Deadprez: You have to give credit to Xander Payne. He certainly fought his heart and was close to winning the match. Unfortunately, it was not meant to be this week.
(The camera cuts to Holly and Harper still watching from the entrance ramp before cutting back to Impact, who is still in the ring and he starts looking at Xander with an evil smirk on his face.)
Eve: What in the world does Impact have planned? With the look on his face, it can’t be good.
(Impact quickly rolls out of the ring and grabs a steel chair and runs right back into the ring.)
Deadprez: Impact has a steel chair and he looks ready to strike Xander to put the exclamation point on this match, BUT HERE COMES RYAN JOSEPH WILSON!
Gavin Kirkland: RYAN WITH A TAKEDOWN ON IMPACT STOPPING HIM FROM THE ATTACK AND IMPACT QUICKLY ROLLS OUT OF THE RING AND TOSSES THE CHAIR TO THE FLOOR! He still has that smirk on his face because no matter what, Impact is leaving Showdown as a winner.
(Impact is shown heading up the entrance ramp as Ryan glares from the ring before he checks on Xander, who is still down before showing POTARA still watching everything from the top of the entrance ramp.)
Deadprez: Regardless of what just went down and the dirty tactics that Impact attempted with the steel chair, at the end of the day, Impact leaves tonight victorious over Xander Payne. After what just went down, things are only just starting to heat up as we head to Pain for Pride. Unfortunately for us, we are almost out of time for tonight. Suddenly the camera shifts to Kennedy Street watching from her office with Drake Armstrong, her eyes fixated on the monitor before she slowly cracks a smile as the show fades to black.)
