(Showdown opens up with a recap of Grand Rampage last week from Showdown’s side. Brianna Hill succesfully defends the Specialists Championship against Selina Reyes. Elysium are unable to defeat The British Invasion for the Unified Tag Team Championships. Auburn Ware defeats Grace de Luca to keep her Unique Opportunity. Milli Banks and Veena Adams defeat Ronan Malosi and Harper Lee. And finally, Donovan Duke is able to succesfully defend the Answers World Championship against SOSA Henderson.)
(The recap ends, and it is replaced with the song “Brick Wall” by a Day to Remember, as the camera pans around the inside of the Utilita Arena Newcastle in Newcastle, England. Fireworks are shooting out of the stage and the whole crowd can be seen cheering and being excited for the show. The camera ends up panning over to the commentary table with Deadprez, Eve and Gavin Kirkland as the commentators start talking.)
Eve: WELCOME EVERYONE… TO SATURDAY NIGHT SHOWDOWN!
Deadprez: WHAT A CRAZY GRAND RAMPAGE WE JUST HAD! BECAUSE NOW, WE ARE BASICALLY ON THE ROAD TO PAIN FOR PRIDE, MAN!
Eve: WE HAVE ONE MORE STOP BEFORE GETTING THERE BUT YET AGAIN AFTER EVERYTHING THAT WE HAVE BEEN THROUGH, WE HAVE TO GIVE YOU A SHOW TONIGHT! We will see various matches as Roberto de la Rosa fights against Shio Corin, and Miku Sakai faces off against Grace de Luca!
Deadprez: We also see a National Elite Championship Open Challenge as Cody Maverick defends against SORN, and in the main event, Jon Kelton against Donovan Duke once and for all after all of the animosity and setbacks!
Gavin Kirkland: BUT FIRST WE OPEN UP THE SHOW WITH SILAS WORLD, YESSIIIIRRR, SILAS WOOOOORLLDDDD!!!
(The sounds of ‘Another World’ by Gojira starts to play throughout the arena and the crowd immediately starts to boo as loudly as they can because they recognize who the music belongs to. Seconds later, Silas Mason enters the arena and is followed by the four competitors who make up Silas World. They all look at each other in solidarity before they all head to the ring.)
Gina Romano: Ladies and Gentlemen! Welcome to the ring at this time… SILAS MASON! RONAN MALOSI! HARPER LEE! THE EAW SPECIALISTS CHAMPION BRIANNA HILL! AND THE EAW ANSWERS WORLD CHAMPION DONOVAN DUKE! THEY! ARE! SILAS WORLD!
Deadprez: And here I thought that we would start off Showdown in a nice and peaceful manner. Instead of that, we get the misfortune of having to see these jackasses come to the ring and probably piss more people off.
Gavin Kirkland: You might not like them… well I don’t think anybody likes them and from the look on Silas’ face, he doesn’t look to be in a good mood after what happened during Grand Rampage weekend.
Eve: Silas was expecting his group to run the gauntlet with their matches and sadly for them they didn’t get all the success they wanted. I am heartbroken for them.
Deadprez: Oh, boohoo for them. I am just sick of these five. Unfortunately, it looks like we are all about to have the misfortune of having to listen to Silas World. Let’s just get this over with.
(Silas grabs a microphone from Gina Romano before he hops onto the apron and opens the ropes for his Silas World members. After each of them enters the ring, Silas enters the ring and stands in the center of the ring as the Silas World entrance music fades off. The crowd is still booing loudly and they all know that it isn’t going to end soon as Silas begins to speak.)
Silas Mason: Do you guys ever think of coming up with something different to say to us? You all are so stupid!!
Crowd: BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Silas Mason: Awwww shut the fuck, you idiots and listen to what I have to say. If you people had some damn brain power, you probably would have figured it out already that I have a few things to say about last week’s Grand Rampage.
Crowd: SHUT THE FUCK UP! *CLAP* *CLAP* *CLAP* *CLAP* *CLAP*! SHUT THE FUCK UP! *CLAP* *CLAP* *CLAP* *CLAP* *CLAP*!
Silas Mason: ANYWAYYYYYYYYS…. When I think about Grand Rampage, all I can really muster up is mixed emotions and feelings.
(Silas looks over at Brianna before he looks over at Donovan before he smiles and continues speaking.)
Silas Mason: Of course, I am absolutely proud of the work my champions Brianna and Donovan did in retaining their respective championships as what was naturally expected.
(Donovan and Brianna hold their respective title belts in the air as the crowd starts booing even louder to the champions of Silas World.)
Silas Mason: What doesn’t sit well with me is how the tag team match went down with my duo of Ronan Malosi and Harper Lee against that disgusting overrated team of Veena Adams and Milli Banks.
(The crowd changes their tune and starts to cheer when they hear Milli and Veena’s names.)
Silas Mason: Yeah yeah. You love those two stupid bimbos, but what I got out of that tag team match was INJUSTICE! COMPLETE INJUSTICE TOWARDS HARPER AND RONAN! How dare that bald bastard Charlie Marr come out as some masked son of a bitch and stick his nose where it doesn’t belong by helping Veena and Milli win the match.
Silas Mason: What makes it even worse is that our fair and esteemed General Manager Kennedy Street actually returned and even signed off on all this crap. That’s a real good example you are setting for your brand, Kennedy. I thought you knew better.
(Silas looks out to the crowd as Donovan goes to Silas and motions for the microphone, which Silas hands to the Answers World Champion. He takes off his sunglasses before he begins to speak.)
Donovan Duke: You see—
Crowd: BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Donovan Duke: I HAVE SOMETHING VERY IMPORTANT TO SAY RIGHT NOW! SHUT UP!!
Crowd: BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!
Donovan Duke: You know what? I don’t give a shit what you think! Especially when I went out at Grand Rampage and did exactly what I said I was going to do and that was to beat the holy hell out of SOSA Henderson.
Crowd: DUKE OF WANKERS! *CLAP* *CLAP* *CLAP* *CLAP* *CLAP*! DUKE OF WANKERS! *CLAP* *CLAP* *CLAP* *CLAP* *CLAP*! DUKE OF WANKERS! *CLAP* *CLAP* *CLAP* *CLAP* *CLAP*!
Donovan Duke: Is that the best you have? Some idiotic chant that makes absolutely no sense! Your stupid chant can’t change the fact that your poor SOSA Henderson could withstand the pain and the agony that I put him through. He learned the hard way, just like everybody else will learn, that there are only two choices for you when you face me. Tap out or pass out and that is why I am going to be YOUR Answers World Champion for the foreseeable future and that is why I am about to walk into the first Pain for Pride Main Event of my career.
(Donovan has a devious smirk on his face as he hands the microphone over to Brianna Hill, who also has a confident look on her face after her Grand Rampage victory.)
Brianna Hill: You see, Donovan isn’t the only one who had a successful title defense that was easily expected. Poor little Selina Reyes should have known better than to try her luck against me.
Brianna Hill: Even though she brought her little friend, Princess Candice Who Gives a Crap, with her and she still couldn’t take the title from me. That’s because I am that damn good. I am the Specialists Champion and don’t you forget it.
(Brianna, along with Donovan, soak in the crowd’s reaction to them as Ronan Malosi motions for the microphone as Brianna hands it to him. Ronan looks around at the crowd and he looks extremely pissed off.)
Ronan Malosi: Milli. Veena. I hope you two dumb bitches are proud of yourselves for stooping to such low levels to beat me and Harper because you both knew you couldn’t stand a chance against us in a fair fight. Just thinking about it gets me pissed off all over again, especially with that damn Charlie Marr ruining everything.
Ronan Malosi: He will pay. Not only him, but the rest of the Showdown roster are going to pay. Because I have no problem beating the ever loving hell out of each and every person who wants to butt into my business or stop me from doing whatever I damn well please. I guarantee it.
(Ronan looks at Harper and hands the microphone to her. She also takes a moment to look at the jeering crowd before she begins to speak.)
Harper Lee: While it completely disgusts me knowing that it took such underhanded tactics to defeat us last week, I am angry beyond belief about Grand Rampage but it goes even further than that.
Harper Lee: I would normally look at people like Milli and Veena with pity because their jealousy has reached a point that they had to bring out another person in order to get one up on Silas World. Enjoy that victory as long as you possibly can because when all is said and done, we will get our payback. We will get our victory and we will continue to show why Silas World is the most dominant group in all of Elite Answers Wrestling.
(Harper looks determined as Donovan flashes a smile to Harper as she hands the microphone back to Silas. The crowd is still booing the group and Silas is to the point of not caring anymore tonight.)
Silas Mason: There is a reason why I chose these four to represent Silas World. They are the cream of the crop. The best of the best and the best always rises to the top and we will stop anybody who steps in our wa—-
???: NOW WAIT JUST A MINUTE!
(Silas is looking around wondering who cut him off before the crowd started cheering the entrance of Kennedy Street on the entrance ramp. She has a microphone in hand as she looks down at the ring at Silas World.)
Kennedy Street: Now listen here for a second. May I remind you, Silas, that it was you and your buddy Ronan there who took me out of action. But Kennie is a fighter. Kennie wasn’t going to stay down long AND I AM BACK, HONEY!
(The crowd cheers even louder for their Showdown General Manager. Kennedy smiles at the reaction before she continues to speak.)
Kennedy Street: Now I know we are on the Road to Pain for Pride, but there is still one more big event before then and that is Fighting Spirit. I am looking at you, Donovan.
(Donovan steps up and looks at Kennedy with fire in his eyes, almost knowing what she is about to say.)
Kennedy Street: I heard you say earlier that you were about to walk into a Pain for Pride Main Event, and you might, if you can survive Fighting Spirit. You see, Donovan, you will be defending your Answers World Championship at Fighting Spirit against… this man.
(Everybody goes silent for a moment before “It Ain’t Safe” by Skepta starts playing as the crowd goes wild for Charlie Marr, who just appears on the entrance ramp and stands next to Kennedy Street.)
Gavin Kirkland: IT’S THE BALD AND BEAUTIFUL CHARLIE MARR! HE’S THE NEXT CHALLENGER FOR THE ANSWERS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP AND SILAS WORLD CAN’T BELIEVE IT!
Deadprez: BAHAHAHAHAHA! Look at Donovan Duke, he is fuming!! He is about to blow a gasket. He is so pissed off right now and I love it.
Eve: Donovan thought he was on his way to Pain for Pride, but it looks like Kennedy has some other plans for the Champion.
(Kennedy hands her microphone to Charlie as his entrance music fades off. He has a smirk on his face as he begins to speak.)
Charlie Marr: Hey, Ronan. Don’t think I haven’t forgotten about you because YOU’RE NEXT, but first, I am going to win the Answers World Championship from that demented bastard and walk into the main event of PAIN! FOR! PRIDE!
(Charlie drops the microphone as Donovan is about to go ballistic at Charlie, but Silas is trying everything he can to calm him down and all Charlie does is smile down at Silas World.)
Gavin Kirkland: WHAT AN ANNOUNCEMENT BY KENNEDY STREET! IT’S GOING TO BE DONOVAN DUKE DEFENDING AGAINST CHARLIE MARR WITH THE ANSWERS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP ON THE LINE!
Eve: Donovan thought he had the main event all wrapped up, but if he wants to see it, he will have to beat Charlie Marr and Donovan is extremely pissed off. I think Donovan is about to lose it. He is angry and Silas is trying to calm him down.
Deadprez: If Charlie gets his way, he’s going to beat Donovan for the Answers World Championship. Then he’s going to the main event of Pain for Pride. Then he’s going to get his revenge against Ronan Malosi. Oh shit, dawg. What a match this is going to be at Fighting Spirit. Donovan Duke. Charlie Marr. Answers World Championship and the Showdown Main Event at Pain for Pride at stake. This is going to be a war.
(The final shot shows Charlie Marr smiling at Kennedy before he nods at Kennedy. They head to the back before the camera cuts to Silas still trying to calm Donovan down from going berserk as the camera cuts elsewhere.)
(The camera cuts to Gina Romano in the ring.)
Gina Romano: The following contest is scheduled for one fall!
Crowd: ONE FALL!
(‘Phenomenal’ by Eminem hits to boos from the crowd.)
Gina Romano: Introducing first from Philadelphia, PA he is SHIOOOOOOOOOOO CORRRRRRRRRRRRRINNNNNNNNNN!!!!
(Shio Corin steps out to the stage with a microphone.)
Eve: Oh no.
Shio Corin: Yoyoyo it’s the baddest man in the whole room right here about to lay down some of that smack talk on you all! This week they got me up against Roberto De La Rosa. I’m about to whip his ass so bad he’s gonna be running to the bar to sip on a mimosa!!! That’s called bars right fucking there!
Crowd: BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!
Shio Corin: Oh what do we got over here? A couple haters?
Eve: Shio Corin is definitely not making friends with our crowd here tonight.
Gavin Kirkland: They are all jealous of his musical talent and battle rap skills. I hear he is undefeated in the underground Philly battle rap scene.
Deadprez: I somehow doubt that but he is going to need to focus on battling in the ring not on the mic if he wants to defeat Roberto De La Rosa…
(PUT EM IN THE FRIDGE – By Peso Pluma (ft. Cardi B) hits!!!)
Gina Romano: And his opponent from Hidalgo, Mexico he is “El Padrino” ROBERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRTO DE LA ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!
(Roberto De La Rosa makes his way down to the ring looking aggressive and ready to attack Shio Corin on sight.)
Eve: Roberto is out here looking to teach this disrespectful newcomer a lesson. Roberto is going to teach him that he needs to pay his dues in Roberto’s locker room!
Gavin Kirkland: Roberto is a known bully backstage and Shio is going to have to survive his hazing if he wants to make it in EAW.
Deadprez: Roberto is pissed after not winning the Grand Rampage as well so you just know he is looking for someone to take it all out on…
(DING! DING! DING!)
Eve: This match is now underway as Roberto De La Rosa and Shio Corin are feeling each other out. Both of these men feel like they have something to prove after their performances in the Grand Rampage and look to make a mark on the road to Pain for Pride one way or another!
Deadprez: Roberto charges in at Shio who goes for a Clothesline but Roberto with a Baseball Slide underneath the legs of Shio. Roberto back up as he grabs Shio from behind with a School Boy rollup!
Eve: Roberto going for the quick steal here!
Referee: ONEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!
Referee: TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Referee: THRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!
Deadprez: Shio Corin kicks out! Damn that was close. That would have been an impressive win for Roberto. But it looks like it only angered Shio who jumps at Roberto and starts pummeling him with punches to the face! Roberto throws Shio off and ducks into the ropes and the referee forces Shio to back up back into the ring.
Gavin Kirkland: Both men go to lock up once more… But Roberto quickly grabs Shio and captures him into a Bearhug! No! Shio headbutts Roberto repeatedly in the head and gets out of it. Shio knocks Roberto back but Roberto comes flying back with a Running Hip Strike sending Shio flying into the corner. Shio falls down as Roberto comes rushing in with a Running Cannonball Senton into the corner. Roberto yanks Shio out of the corner by the hair and throws him across the ring landing horizontally across the top rope. Roberto rushes in with a Running Punt Kick to the gut sending Shio flying into the air before crashing down to the mat!
Eve: Roberto now up to the top rope! Roberto with a Flying Moonsault off the top to Shio Corin!!!-
Deadprez: But Shio reaches up and catches Roberto’s skull in his hand as he comes down! Shio gets back up and he has a Claw applied now and Roberto screams in pain as he collapses down to the mat. Shio shoves Roberto down to the mat with the Claw applied. Roberto is fading! His shoulders are down!
Referee: ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Referee: TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!
Eve: But Roberto De La Rosa suddenly begins powering back up to his feet! Roberto is fighting through the pain as he falls into the corner touching the ropes! The referee orders the break but Shio is keeping the Claw applied!
Referee: ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! FIVE!
Deadprez: Shio Corin is forced to release the hold now to avoid disqualification! Roberto falls backwards as Shio goes in to grab him but Roberto kicks his feet up and throws Shio into the air! But Shio lands down on top of the shoulders of Roberto and throws him across the ring with a Hurricanrana! Roberto rolls back up to his feet and charges in at Shio who sidesteps him! Roberto goes into the ropes but leaps towards the ropes with a hands free handspring! Roberto flips backwards and catches Shio on the side of the head with an Elbow Strike knocking him out! Roberto to the cover!
Referee: ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!
Referee: TWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW-
Gavin Kirkland: Shio Corin kicks out! I guess he wasn’t actually knocked out after all! Roberto back up now as he goes up to the top rope waiting for Shio to get back up.
Eve: ROBERTO LUNGES OFF THE TOP TOWARDS SHIO CORIN!!!-
Deadprez: But Shio catches him in midair and plants him face first in the ring! A massive fail by Roberto! Shio with the cover!
Referee: ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!
Referee: TWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW-
Eve: But Roberto kicks out this time! Neither man is able to put the other away so far but this match is just getting started… Both men slowly get back to their feet…
Deadprez: Both Roberto & Shio circle around the ring before Roberto goes for a kick but Shio quickly moves out of the way. Shio grabs the arm of Roberto who grapples him but Shio ducks under Roberto grabbing him around the waist. But Roberto rolls across the ring taking Shio with him into the ropes and the break is forced. Both back to their feet as Roberto goes for a Leaping Enzuigiri but the leg is caught by Shio! Shio takes Roberto down by the leg and positions himself around trying to grab his neck but Shio shoves him off grabbing and hooking the arm in an attempt to apply an Armbar! But Roberto kips back up to his feet and leaps into the air with his arm wrapped in Shio’s legs and throws Shio across the ring to the mat.
Gavin Kirkland: Shio Corin rolls back up before charging in and tackling Roberto De La Rosa down to the mat wrestling for his arm but Roberto falls backwards on his back kicking his legs up trying to propel Shio backwards! But Shio manages to avoid it and rolls forward pulling Roberto up onto his shoulders! Roberto sits on the shoulders of Shio before falling back with a Hurricanrana throwing Shio across the ring! Shio’s legs grabbed by Roberto who begins to spin him around. And around. And around. And around! Big Swing here by Roberto and the crowd is counting along as he goes for it more and more!
Crowd: ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! FIVE! SIX! SEVEN! EIGHT! NINE! TEN!
Eve: Roberto releases the Big Swing dropping Shio on his back. Roberto staggers backwards and I think he dazed himself there almost as much as his opponent! Shio back up as Roberto goes for a Spinning Heel Kick but Shio quickly moves out of the way. Shio into the ropes forcing Roberto to back up.
Deadprez: Roberto backs up but Shio runs in and grabs Roberto by the head! Shio spins around and then plants Roberto down to the mat with Tornado DDT! Shio to the cover!!!
Referee: OONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!
Referee: TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
Referee: TH-
Eve: But the kickout by Roberto! Shio now going outside the ring as he waits for Roberto to get back up. Shio jumps up to the top rope! Springboard Forearm! Shio got all of it nailing Roberto in the skull and knocking him unconscious down to the mat! Roberto collapses against the ropes and he is not moving as Shio runs up behind him with a Double Knee Strike! Shio turns him around-
Deadprez: But Roberto rakes the eyes! Roberto yanks the hair of Shio Corin and drags him down to the mat before planting a thumb right into the eye! The referee yelling at Roberto who begins to bite the forehead of Shio drawing blood! Roberto backs off and spits blood at the crowd who is disgusted by what they are seeing. Shio back up as Roberto goes for a Cartwheel into a Pump Kick but Shio moves out of the way. Shio into the ropes before slowly moving out and cautiously approaching Roberto.
Gavin Kirkland: Shio goes for a punch on Roberto who ducks it! But Shio grabs the arm of Roberto and tosses him across the ring. Roberto rushes in on Shio who moves and Roberto hits the ropes! Shio into the ropes and leaps up onto the middle one before flipping backwards landing with a Moonsault onto the shoulder of Roberto! But Roberto catches Shio! Roberto yeets Shio over the top rope and throws him onto the apron! But Shio flips over the top and lands on his feet! But Roberto with a Baseball Slide outside the ring catching the legs of Shio out from under him and dropping him down hard on the outside!
Eve: Roberto grabs Shio and runs him across the side of the ring throwing him into the steel ring steps! Roberto then grabs Shio and tosses him into the ring before leaping up to the apron and flipping himself over the top rope landing back first on Shio! Roberto to the cover!
Referee: ONEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!
Referee: TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

Deadprez: The kickout by Shio Corin! Roberto pulls Shio up and hits him with an uppercut to the jaw. Roberto whips Shio across the ring but Shio reverses it! Shio cartwheels across the ring and hits a Pele Kick catching Roberto on the side of the head! Roberto falls into the ropes as Shio grabs him from behind and throws him backwards with a German Suplex into a bridge!
Referee: ONEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!
Referee: TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
Referee: THRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR-
Eve: Roberto kicks out this time! Both competitors now back up as Roberto grabs the arm of Shio and pulls him into a Suplex! Roberto stalls in midair draining out the blood from the head of Shio and driving him down to the mat. Shio slowly back up as Roberto lifts him up and drops him hard over his knee!-
Deadprez: No! Shio manages to catch the arm of Roberto throwing him across the ring with the force of his own bodyweight! Shio leaps up onto Roberto and begins tearing at his face with his fingernails! The referee is going to put a stop to that real quick! Roberto getting a taste of his own medicine! But Roberto grabs the arms of Shio and pins him down to the mat! But Shio rolls up holding the arms of Roberto and leaps up to the top rope! Roberto lets go but it is too late as Shio jumps backwards catching Roberto in midair with a Spinning DDT! Shio to the cover!!
Referee: ONEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!
Referee: TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

Gavin Kirkland: The kickout by Roberto! A number of close falls here indicates that this match has to be starting to get close to finishing up!
Eve: Shio pulls Roberto up but Roberto grabs Shio and shoves him into the ropes! Roberto with a Dropkick sending Shio to the outside! Shio falls to the outside as Roberto runs the ropes! Roberto with a Tope con Hilo to the outside landing right on top of Shio! Roberto tosses Shio back into the ring and picks him up in the air! Roberto flips up Shio and drops him down to the mat with a Gory Special! Roberto then climbs onto the back of Shio and applies la de a Caballo! But Shio is trying to power out of it! Shio won’t let Roberto lock it in and throws him backwards! But Roberto lands on his back and hooks the legs of Shio! Roberto grabs Shio by the neck and yanks him backwards folding his spine in the incorrect direction! Roberto applying Cavernaria here as he looks to force Shio to tap out!
Deadprez: Shio has his arms free and he is going to need to put them to use if he wants to escape this deadly submission hold! But it looks like he might be able to sway the momentum and throw both of them over and to the side! Shio goes back and forth and eventually falls over towards the ropes! Shio reaches out!!!-
Eve: He makes it to the ropes! The referee orders the break! Roberto lets go!-
Deadprez: But Shio trips Roberto knocking him over! Shio grabs the arm of Roberto and yanks him around twisting him into La Cerrajera! The knee is applied to the back of the head of Roberto as he extends the arms around behind him and Roberto is screaming in pain!

(The camera shot then cuts back to the General Manager’s office where Alana Starr is seen looking over some important documents. She was in the middle of reading something when she heard a knock at the door. She is snapped out of whatever she is reading and looks over at the door.)
Alana Starr: Come in.
(We hear the door open and close before we see Auburn Ware enter the office, which elicits a positive reaction from the arena crowd. Auburn has a smile on her face, but eyes have a look of determination as she walks over to Alana. Alana stands up and shakes Auburn’s hand.)
Alana Starr: Auburn Ware. It’s a pleasure to see you. Congratulations on your victory last week against Grace De Luca. You two really showed out at Grand Rampage, but you were the one who left victorious.
Auburn Ware: It’s a pleasure to see you too, Alana, and thank you very much. It was a hell of a fight, but I am glad to finally get Grace De Luca off my back and get her out of my business.
Alana Starr: You were also able to keep that Unique Opportunity that you worked so hard to earn a few months ago. Anyways, what can I do for you, Auburn?
(Auburn looks down at the floor for a quick second before looking back up at Alana and replying to her question.)
Auburn Ware: You see, that’s why I came in here to talk to you about, Alana. My unique opportunity.
Alana Starr: Is that so?
Auburn Ware: Yes, Alana. When I won the opportunity at Reasonable Doubt, I was just happy that I won it and knew that I would find out in due time.
Alana Starr: I see. And now?
Auburn Ware: Now the anticipation is building up inside me wondering what it is because I was close to losing my opportunity to that pain, Grace.
Auburn Ware: Now that there is no dispute over the unique opportunity, I would like to know, now more than ever, what the opportunity I worked so hard to keep is.
(Alana was listening very intently to what Auburn had to say. After a brief moment of silence, Alana smiles at Auburn before speaking.)
Alana Starr: No worries, Auburn. I can respect that. You probably should have found out earlier, but we were naturally waiting to see if you or Grace would be walking out of Grand Rampage with the prize. Now we know, so how about we end the misery and let you know what your opportunity is.

Alana Starr: Before I tell you, I want to say that myself and Miss Kennedy have worked hard and made it our goals to make sure that we reward people who have been working hard on Showdown with opportunities to really show what they can do when given a chance. That includes you, Auburn.

Alana Starr: Now come on. There is no need to look so shocked. We noticed what you have been doing since you’ve returned. I want to tell you right now that I am so proud of you and what you have done thus far on Showdown.
Auburn Ware: Wow. I mean I really don’t know what to say.
Alana Starr: Auburn, there is no need to say anything. Your work has said enough and we recognize that. Anyways, as you already know, this is Pain for Pride season and we are most definitely on the road to get the biggest event of the season.
Alana Starr: Myself and Kennedy Street have thought long and hard about what your Unique Opportunity should be, and I think we have decided on an opportunity that fits perfectly for you.

Auburn Ware: Oh my gosh. A match for the Specialists Championship? I knew that a Unique Opportunity around here could be literally anything, but I really wasn’t expecting a match like this… especially for a Championship.
Alana Starr: Well, Auburn, you have more than earned it. This might be one of the biggest profile matches of your career, but we wouldn’t have selected this to be your opportunity if you couldn’t rise up to the occasion. Believe me, Auburn, we recognize your talent, and we also know that you will make the most of this opportunity being presented to you.
Auburn Ware: I mean I don’t believe it. I am completely shocked! I am getting a shot at becoming the Specialists Champion. Eve: Miku is also not too happy after what happened at Grand Rampage and will also be looking forward to bashing Grace’s head in! These two have a similar level of tactics when it comes to playing dirty, so it will be interesting to see how they both overcome each other tonight.

Eve: Miku’s got her cornered like a wild animal! Rapid-fire strikes! Knees to the midsection! Elbows to the side of the head! Grace looks completely overwhelmed right now! Eve: Miku’s not stopping for a second—she’s dragging Grace by the leg toward the center, probably looking to end this fast— Wait! Grace just rolls out of the ring! She drops down like dead weight, and Miku’s fuming now! That might’ve been the smartest move Grace has made. She needed that breather in the worst way! Miku now slides out of the ring, in hot pursuit— BUT GRACE IS REACHING UNDER THE RING! WHAT’S SHE LOOKING FOR—

Deadprez: OH MY GOD!! GRACE JUST CRACKED MIKU IN THE ANKLE WITH A DAMN WRENCH!! WHERE DID THAT EVEN COME FROM?! She had that thing hidden under there the whole time?! Referee didn’t see anything! Miku drops like a rock, clutching that ankle in pain! She didn’t even see it coming! Grace is dragging herself up with the apron now, and look at that grin on her face!
Gavin Kirkland: Say what you want about her methods, but that shot just turned the whole match on its head! Miku is rolling on the floor in pain and Grace is about to capitalize big time!

Deadprez: Grace looks stunned! Her jaw just dropped! She thought that was all she needed to put Miku away! Grace is sitting up, eyes wide, hands in her hair, and Miku, somehow, is trying to crawl her way back to the ropes. You can see the wheels turning in Grace’s head… if that didn’t work, she’s got something worse in mind. Something much worse.
Gavin Kirkland: Grace is back on the attack— no hesitation now! She’s got Miku by the arm and WHIPS HER HARD INTO THE STEEL POST SHOULDER FIRST! That sound was sickening! Miku’s shoulder might’ve just been dislocated right there! Grace immediately follows up! Roll her up from behind!

Gavin Kirkland: MIKU STRIKES GRACE! GRACE STRIKING BACK! THEY’RE TRADING SHOTS ON THE GROUND! Grace with a right hand, Miku with a left! Grace again, Miku fires back! They’re just throwing bombs while lying on the mat!
Eve: This has turned into a scrap! A full-on brawl on the canvas! Fists are flying like it’s a bar fight! Grace tries to mount Miku, but Miku rolls through AND THEY KEEP SWINGING! Miku finally gets the edge, shoves Grace back into the corner, JUMPING ON HER AND DOING A MONKEY FLIP OUT OF THE CORNER!!
Deadprez: BUT GRACE LANDS ON HER FEET!! WHAT?! She’s standing AND SHE’S TUNING IT UP! GRACE GOING FOR “THE BITTERSWEET CHIN MUSIC” SHE GOES FOR IT— MIKU DODGES!!
Gavin Kirkland: HEADBUTT!! RIGHT TO THE NOSE! GRACE DROPS TO HER KNEES! That wasn’t just a headbutt, that was a statement! Miku’s nose might be busted too, but she rocked Grace with that shot! Grace is clutching her face!
Eve: Miku sees her moment, Grace is still dazed on her knees. MIKU HITS THE ROPES, BOUNCES BACK— DROPKICK TO THE FACE!! That dropkick blasted Grace right in the mouth! She got turned inside out! Grace drops flat on the mat, and Miku kips up, limping slightly on that ankle but still standing tall!
Deadprez: Look at this, Miku’s smirking, walking circles around Grace like a shark stalking its prey! If there’s one thing I know, when you get two cheaters in a match, you don’t get a clean contest. Miku’s looking like she’s just three moves ahead right now!
Gavin Kirkland: Grace is coughing, spitting up something either blood or glitter, I can’t tell with her! Miku walks over— OH! EYE RAKE!! GRACE WITH THE EYE RAKE OUT OF NOWHERE!! The Referee didn’t see it! Miku’s screaming, holding her face!
Eve: GRACE IMMEDIATELY STEPS BACKWARD FOR A STRAIGHT KICK TO MIKU’S JAW!! SHE CAUGHT HER FLUSH!! Miku collapses into the corner!
Gavin Kirkland: Grace is quick to the outside! Wait, she’s undoing the turnbuckle pad! THAT’S BARE STEEL NOW!! REFREE, DO YOUR JOB!!
( The referee is telling her off, Grace already has the turnbuckle expose and tries to plead innocent! )
Eve: She’s trying to set a trap but luckily the referee caught on, Miku is crawling on all fours, dragging herself up with the ropes AND GRACE CHARGES! Miku sidesteps AND GRACE HITS THE EXPOSED TURNBUCKLE!!! THE REFEREE COULDN’T PUT IT BACK ON TIME!
Deadprez: HEADFIRST INTO THE STEEL!! SHE’S OUT!! She might be seeing double, triple, past trauma, everything! Miku is now pulling something out of her boots— OH COME ON!! THAT’S BRASS KNUCKLES!! The Referee turns back JUST as she drops them down her gear and starts fake limping! Miku now limping toward Grace, grabs her by the chin talking trash, probably reminding her who the real star is— AND GRACE BITES HER FINGER!! WHAT THE HELL?!

Eve: Both women are DOWN again! The Referee is finally starting to regain his vision, crawling toward the corner like he just escaped a war zone, and these two are STILL tearing each other to pieces! Look at Grace barely moving, but that grin is creeping back onto her face! She’s not out of tricks, not by a long shot. Gavin Kirkland: I would say Miku stole this match but with the series of events that transpired, I think this was a pretty fair match. Both women were reaching into what they knew in order to get the win.
Eve: Yeah both women were really desperate, and I guess you can say, Miku’s desperation just outclassed Grace’s.
( Miku walks up the ramp, while happily showing signs of pain after all the bullshit that went on throughout the match. While Grace was pleading with the Referee that Miku was cheating and the match should be restarted. Unfortunately for her, the scene cut to black. )

Kyra Phillips: Welcome my special guest at this time. Fresh off her great performance in the Grand Rampage match… please welcome the former EAW Specialists Champion… NIKKKKKKKKKKKKKI KIMURAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!
(Nikki Kimura enters the frame looking very focused as she gets a mixed reaction from the crowd. You can tell by her expression that she is having conflicting feelings and has something to get off her chest.)
Kyra Phillips: Nikki, i know that the Grand Rampage might not have turned out the way you hoped, but I think everyone who tuned in was very impressed by your performance and how far you made it in the match regardless. But we want to as-
Nikki Kimura: Kyra… I’m going to stop you right there. I think it is about time that I address everyone on exactly what has been going on with Nikki Kimura lately. You see everyone has been running around blaming Silas World for all of their problems and they say that Nikki Kimura is responsible because she didn’t see Silas Mason’s betrayal coming. They think that I should have seen it all from the beginning. But why is that my responsibility? How am I somehow more responsible than anyone else? No I don’t think so. You all don’t get to blame me for this. I was a wildly successful champion and anyone who wants to blame me for anything should just be blaming me for finding the recipe to success! Silas couldn’t keep up with me, that’s why he had to betray me and cost me my championship. Brianna Hill wasn’t good enough to beat me straight up and she knows it!
Crowd: BRIANNA SUCKS! BRIANNA SUCKS! BRIANNA SUCKS!
Kyra Phillips: Well I think this crowd agrees with you. But what is next for Nikki Kimura?
Nikki Kimura: Well that is what I want to talk about Kyra. I showed up at the Grand Rampage and showed the world what I could do. I didn’t win that match but I damn sure made an impact! I think everyone knows that I am THAT BITCH! I am the one to watch on Showdown in 2025 and this year is going to see my rise to the top and I intend to do all that and more on my road to Pain for Pride! It would have been great to win it. But Akari Kiyoko had to go and ruin the whole thing not just for me but for my millions and millions on Kimuramaniacs all around the world!
Kyra Phillips: But after losing in the Grand Rampage. Is there even hope for Nikki Kimura or do you think it would be best to give up and ragequit EAW?
Nikki Kimura: What the hell kind of question is that Kyra? I am obviously not going anywhere! I am sure a lot of people would like that. But unfortunately for them they are going to have to deal with me tapping their asses out in the ring! I had the MVP showing of everyone on Showdown. I don’t care if you think someone eliminated more people or lasted longer. DO NOT ARGUE WITH ME. I am the one to watch and this is all about me coming out here and looking to gain some ground. Because nothing and nobody is safe. I am going to take over. I am conquering EAW and Showdown one Elitist at a time. Grand Rampage is just the start. Pain for Pride is the finish line. We are wiping the whole board!
Kyra Phillips: What are your goals for Pain for Pride? Possibly another run at getting back your Specialists Championship?
Nikki Kimura: Ew. Honestly Kyra you might be right. But who knows and that is the exciting part. Personally I don’t care if it is the Specialists Championship. Or if it is some other championship entirely. But I think it is very obvious that there is more gold on the horizon for Nikki Kimura. Like I said before. It took Silas World and all the cheating in the world to pry the last one off me. But this time try as you might once I get a title you won’t be able to pry that motherfucker off! I am going to dominate the shit out this Pain for Pride season. I will be getting some gold around my waist. And you can all blame me for that and I am sure Silas will be coming through and running back groveling at my feet wishing that I will take him back.
Kyra Phillips: And will you?
Nikki Kimura: Absolutely not. He missed his chance. He had the opportunity to be aligned with a future EAW Hall of Famer. I am going to take this company by storm. Everyone is going to know and remember the name Nikki Kimura by the time I am done here. You all think that I am down and out right now. Going through some hard times. But that has only motivated me to work harder and become a better wrestler than I have ever been. The Specialists Championship was just like a test run for me. You are going to be getting PRIME Nikki Kimura soon and the things that I am capable of. Oh god you just do not have any idea!
Kyra Phillips: Well I for one am very excited and wish you the best of luck on your Pain for Pride journey!
Nikki Kimura: You know Kyra I can tell by your tone that you doubt I will be able to accomplish anything. But I am going to prove you and all of the other haters and doubters wrong. You all think you are so high and mighty cheering all of the overrated so-called “heroes” here on Showdown. When you should have been cheering and admiring Nikki Kimura instead and I am going to make you all regret your choices. I am a very moral person Kyra and I am going to make EAW a better place and make all of you better as well. It is time to do fucking better EAW.
(Nikki Kimura storms out as Kyra Phillips shrugs and the camera cuts to a commercial.)
(A commercial airs for the Frosted Cosmos cereal available now at a grocery store near you!)
(The camera transitions to a shot of the backstage area, more specifically inside Elysium’s locker room, where Bronson Daniels could be seen wearing street clothes, sitting in a chair, scrolling on his phone. As Bronson appears on camera, the audience immediately erupts in cheers.)
(A few seconds passed, and suddenly there was a knock at the locker room door. Bronson’s head instantly shot upward towards the door. As the camera panned from Bronson to the door, we saw Jon Kelton entering the room wearing his ring gear. His entrance, too, caused the crowd to once again erupt with cheers.)
( As Jon Kelton enters the room, the look on Bronson’s face turns to one of surprise, as he puts his phone in his pocket. )
Bronson Daniels: Oh wow, you actually came.
Jon Kelton: Of course, why wouldn’t I?
Bronson Daniels: Well, after the whole Grand Rampage thing, we haven’t exactly been on the same page. I just assumed you took what I said and decided that you would much rather be done with it all.
Jon Kelton: Nah, I heard every word you said loud and clear. I see exactly where you’re coming from. But you were so busy trying to get me to see things from your perspective that you didn’t even attempt to see them from mine.
( Bronson Daniels looks on confused. )
Bronson Daniels: Wait. Is that why you agreed to come? You wanted to air your grievances?
Jon Kelton: No. I came because no matter what happens, you are my BROTHER. And I wouldn’t let a disagreement change that. Honestly, I hope you understand that. And I hope you know that just because I feel that way, it doesn’t mean I can’t also feel the need to share my perspective.
Jon Kelton: So if we’re going to talk, then it needs to be mutual. It can’t just be me standing around listening to you tell me how I’m pissing away my career. Alright?
Bronson Daniels: That was never my intention, but I understand. The floor is yours.
Jon Kelton: I know. The same way that I know you mean well, and I know your words come from a place of love. But while you were so busy trying to get me to see things from your point of view, you failed to grasp the fact that we aren’t the same person.
(Jon would take a foldable chair and place it close to where Bronson was seated before taking a seat.)
Jon Kelton: We practically do everything together. We train together. We love the same things. We share similar views on many things. And you are my brother. I genuinely mean that through and through. But our demons aren’t the same. Our pasts aren’t the same. And even now it’s become evident that our paths aren’t either. And that’s where your vision seems to be hazy.
Bronson Daniels: How is telling you that you need to be more focused on what you want a bad thing? What is it that makes you take pause?
Jon Kelton: I never said it was a bad thing. I never said much of anything at all. Because I spent the entirety of the night listening to you speak. And I came here tonight believing that things would be different, and I’d finally be able to get my point across, but so far, it’s feeling like more of the same.
Bronson Daniels: Fine… then let’s talk. But don’t expect me to bite my tongue when I hear blatant cap.
(Bronson would hear Jon out, but give little consolation in response. And in return, Jon simply rolls his eyes.)
Jon Kelton: You have every right to be upset with me. I said as much last week. I get it. I understand that your frustration isn’t simply with the match result, it’s with me. It’s with the mentality that I carry. But it’s hard for me to find a balance between what I love and who I love. And I told you this heading into Grand Rampage. I told you that it was difficult for me to look past the situation, to look past who was standing across the ring from me, and force myself to pull the trigger. I hesitated. I made a decision that benefited me alone. And I’m sorry.
( Jon sighs. )
Jon Kelton: But I don’t know how to find balance. I don’t know how to prioritize what I want, and not be—not be…
Bronson Daniels: Not be, Donovan? Not be.. The Devil?
Jon Kelton: Yeah.. yes. I don’t want to go backwards, and I don’t want to allow my selfish nature to drive a wedge between me and the people that I care about.
Jon Kelton: I know that sounds stupid, but I’m just not used to any of this. And it feels impossible to make the right decision, because I’m already trying to mend fences and undo all the damage I’ve caused before. But at the same time, I do want things. I do want to be successful. I want to accomplish my goals and my dreams. But what good are these things if you can’t enjoy them with the people you care about? How is there balance in that?
Bronson Daniels: There’s absolutely nothing wrong with being goal-oriented. Just like there’s nothing wrong with giving everything you have to achieve something you set your mind on. Wanting something doesn’t make you a bad person. Being inexorable in pursuit of your goals, regardless of who is across the ring from you, doesn’t make you a bad person. What Silas World is doing, going out of their way to terrorize people and ensure that they keep this brand under their control— that is what makes you a bad person. That is what makes you evil.
Bronson Daniels: But the fact that you’re even asking these questions, and you care, is proof that you’re a good person, Jon. Yes, you made mistakes in the past, but you’ve worked relentlessly to make up for them. And you’ve rebuilt that trust with the people both on this brand and the people who spend their hard-earned money to come and watch us do what we love to do. And that alone should put things into perspective for you.
Jon Kelton: Of course. I’m not saying you are, but how do I know you’re not simply just telling me what I need to hear? It’s not like it’s outside the realm of possibility or anything. I just want to ensure that you genuinely believe what you’re saying. th
Bronson Daniels: That’s fair. But I don’t think there’s anything I can say to put the idea out of your head. So, I won’t even try. However, I will attempt to prove my thoughts to be true by explaining my actions, and I hope that it resonates with you in some way.
Bronson Daniels: At Reasonable Doubt, I put all of my goals and aspirations to the side, for your sake, because I believed in you and because I wanted the man whom I faced at Midsummer Massacre to unlock his full potential. And while I didn’t sacrifice myself physically to the extent you have, I’ve still sacrificed a great deal. The thought of getting my revenge on Donovan. Getting closure for my short-lived Answers World Championship reign. There’s more, but I try to place it in the back of my mind because I use these instances as motivation when the time comes. But that’s not the point. The point is— I do these things for your sake, not just because I view you as my brother. But also, because I see something in you, Jon. I always have. But it’s never been more prominent to me than it is now. And maybe that’s why I asked you to come.
Bronson Daniels: I want to be the greatest elitist ever to lace up a pair of boots. I want my legacy and my reputation to precede me. I want my name to be synonymous with greatness. But still, I was willing to give up all of that, just to see you have your moment. Not because I thought you were incapable of getting it done on your own, not because I wanted to take the credit, but simply because you’ve more than earned it. But you never seem to choose yourself when you’re supposed to. And that’s always been your Achilles heel. It’s always been the crack in your armor. And as someone who spends day in and day out with you, I see it. And how could I ever stand here and call myself your brother, without being honest with you? How could I call myself your brother and not hold you just as accountable as you have me?
Jon Kelton: You know you don’t have to do that for me. I don’t want to get in the way of you accomplishing the things you want to achieve. That becomes a hindrance, man. That leads to nothing but disdain and hatred. I don’t want that to be us. We’ve gone through so much already.
Bronson Daniels: And that will never happen to us. Also, I’m not just doing that for you. I’m doing it because it’s what I want to do. I meant what I told you, I still have plenty of years left to do this. I still have plenty of chances to get to where I’m going. And I know you do too. So why not approach every opportunity with the same mentality?
Jon Kelton: This is your way of paying me back.
( Bronson looks at Jon confused. )
Jon Kelton: For Road To Redemption. You don’t talk about it beyond my sacrifice. But every action you’ve made since then has been tailored to a singular goal: getting me to the promised land, even if it means you take a back seat. If that’s the case, then stop it.
Jon Kelton: I took the opportunity at Reasonable Doubt because it felt right that I bested you in our little one-on-one. But anything beyond that—if I didn’t earn it, I don’t want it. I don’t want you to feel as if you owe me anything. I don’t want you to feel as though your career has to take a backseat to my own, regardless of what you see in me. The same way you want to be the best elitist ever to lace up a pair of boots— it’s the same way I feel. So the next time an opportunity crosses our path, and we both want it, I say let the best man win, and let that be that.
Bronson Daniels: So, you’ve been listening? You finally understand what I was trying to say last week.
Jon Kelton: I do. But I need to know that you understand what I’ve said as well.
Bronson Daniels: I do. I’m unsure why you weren’t able to grasp it a week ago, but hey, better late than never :mjgrin: .
Bronson Daniels: But all jokes aside, I know I don’t owe you. But sometimes I am. And sometimes I feel like I should be able to do more to help you cross that finish line. But at the same time, I know you’d rather die than get there by any means other than your own volition.
( Jon Kelton simply smiles and nods his head in agreement.)
Jon Kelton: Yeah, sounds like someone I know. Stubborn. Hard-headed. Impulsive. Wears their heart on their sleeve. Sheesh, sounds like your habits are rubbing off on me, man.
Bronson Daniels: Yeah, right. You’ve been that way since I’ve known you. And now that I think about it, you might be a negative influence on me.
( Bronson’s tone was sarcastic and lighthearted. )
Jon Kelton: Even though that’s a blatant lie, you’re welcome. But look, I’m going to get ready for my match tonight.
Bronson Daniels: Oh yeah, I was meaning to ask about that. Let me get my bag, and I can change into my ring gear, and accompany you out th–
( Before Bronson can finish speaking, Jon cuts him off. )
Jon Kelton: I think that tonight, I’ll tackle this one alone. It’s nothing personal, you and I are good, it’s just— I have to learn to do this on my own. Without having you be a safety net in my corner. I have to learn to operate under this type of pressure, even with the understanding that at any moment, any member of Silas World could get involved and try to screw me over.
Bronson Daniels: I get it. That’s smart. It’s risky as hell, especially when it comes to them. But it’s smart in the sense of filling in all the cracks and attacking your weaknesses. I’ll hang back tonight, but if anything goes wrong, if they even move funny, I’ll be out there in a heartbeat, alright?
Jon Kelton: Yeah, I know. I don’t doubt that at all.
( As Jon turns to leave, Bronson stops him, offering parting words before Jon goes to prepare for his match. )
Bronson Daniels: Jon, one last thing. Tonight might not be for the Answers World Championship, but it goes without saying that this thing with Donovan started with us, so it’s only right that we end it. Kick his ass, for me, for Mills, for everyone else he and the rest of Silas World have screwed over these past few months.
( Jon Kelton nods his head, understanding the mission. )
( He first bumps Bronson and makes his way out of the locker room before the camera focuses on a standing Bronson Daniels, giving a nod of approval with a smile on his face, before finally fading to black.)
(Showdown returns from a commercial break showing Gina Romano at the center of the ring, preparing to announce the upcoming program of tonight’s show.)
Gina Romano: THE FOLLOWING CONTEST IS THE NATIONAL ELITE CHAMPIONSHIP OPEN CHALLENGE AND IT’S SCHEDULED FOR ONE FALL!
(‘Rain’ by VLK hits the PA system receiving a positive reaction from the crowd as Sorn makes his way to the ring. Sorn takes a deep sigh, gazing at the ring before walking down the aisle with nothing but full confidence for the first championship match of his EAW career.)
Gina Romano: INTRODUCING THE CHALLENGER!… FROM OSAKA, JAPAN!… WEIGHING IN AT 167 POUNDS!… THE FUTURE ACE!… SORNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Eve: An Open Challenge for the National Elite Championship takes place here at the Newcastle Arena tonight, and Sorn is the one to step up to the plate.
Gavin Kirkland: Not only is he testing his ability against the champion, but he’s also looking to take the championship away from him. Sorn has nothing but true fighting spirit tonight, and he plans to bring Cody down with him!
Deadprez: When you feel his presence, you can sense the energy of someone who will never back down. He was here for a while, but this return might surprise us with something special. He’s been taking his career seriously since he came back, settling scores against some of the best EAW has to offer.
(Sorn enters the ring and takes off his entrance jacket as ‘Kostas’ by Westside Gunn, Conway the Machine, and Benny the Butcher hits, and the cheers only get louder as Cody Maverick marches out from behind the curtain to the ring, holding the National Elite Championship over his shoulder. Cody cracks his neck a little, his eyes full of determination to bring Sorn down and retain his title as he makes his way to the ring.)
Gavin Kirkland: Great reaction from the Newcastle crowd tonight for our National Elite Champion, who has accomplished an unpredictable feat by conquering the Grand Rampage and coming close to winning it before being eliminated by Drake King who delivered the Sick Kick to his face taking that chance away from Cody and solidifying himself as the true legend.
Eve: But that performance only speaks volumes of how far he is capable of going as the National Elite Champion, and tonight, both have admitted that this isn’t going to be an easy task for the challenger.
Deadprez: Sorn isn’t going to let what Cody has recently accomplished pressure him, and he’s not going to allow him to give his full capability in this match. Both are here to give their all in this match!
(DING DING DING)
Gavin Kirkland: Open Challenge match is on the way, and this is going to be an interesting match. Sorn has had a great build-up walking into this match, but will he be able to prove his struggle by winning the championship tonight? We’re going to find out at the expense of Cody Maverick, and whether he allows that to happen.
Eve: Can’t forget that Cody has a strong will walking into this match as well, and he’s ready to prove himself as a champion by beating Sorn tonight. Sorn might have the biggest night of his EAW career tonight, but Cody has something to prove, and it won’t matter to him when he’s willing to crush it.
Deadprez: It’s going to be tough for Sorn tonight. He mentioned that being tossed out of the match by Drake King hurt him a lot, but that’s only going to make him stronger from here. We are about to see how much he’s going to bring to this match and whether that will be enough to beat the champion. Sorn moves out of the corner, with Maverick tracking his footsteps, both arms raised high, looking to capture him in a collar and elbow clutch!
Gavin Kirkland: Sorn uses his speed to boost his momentum, ducking underneath those arms attempting to trap him as he quickly goes behind, wrapping his arms around Cody and trapping him in the waistlock. Maverick immediately uses his hands to try to pry the hold off and free himself.
Deadprez: This kid has it in him so far and is already taking control over the champion!
Eve: Maverick looks down at the hands wrapping him in the waistlock, attempting to break free. Sorn’s face tells us he feels the immense energy trying to break the lock, and that’s when Plan B comes into play. Sorn quickly uses one of his arms to release and uses the other to pull back while Cody already has his hands on him.
Gavin Kirkland: Now Sorn wraps both hands around the champion’s neck, dropping him seated on the ground to apply the grounded headlock from behind, quickly restraining the champion with his physical force!
Deadprez: You can feel the desire to win the championship and make his dream come true from Sorn. This kid has truly been putting in the work against Cody, who’s operating on another level, and that leaves the champion struggling against Sorn’s hard work.
Eve: When two wrestlers known for their hard work, clash, that’s when things get interesting. Maverick, in his head right now, is probably forming the next move to counter Sorn’s arm, which is proceeding to squeeze his head and take the air out. Maverick keeps his focus sharp and immediately uses his right arm to grab Sorn’s arm, twisting his head out of there with his other free arm presses Sorn’s back to the ground, leaving him kissing the mat while the arm still holding Sorn’s is further folding it in the wrong direction, applying pressure to the Future Ace!
Gavin Kirkland: For someone who doesn’t seem to take much pleasure in this type of situation, he’s doing pretty well against someone who appears to be very professional in the technical format. Sorn, now realizing that he’s the one taking the toll, begins using one of his knees to stand up.
Eve: Cody further sustains him by holding onto that arm and twisting it, which almost causes Sorn to lose balance on his knee, but he manages to push through. Now, Sorn holds onto those legs and, eventually, is able to stand on both feet slowly but surely. Sorn then throws his arm backward, passing over the side of Maverick’s head while twisting his body around to face the champion as he quickly seizes the wrist and lifts Maverick onto his shoulder, tossing him over his head with a fireman’s carry drop, immediately holding onto the arm to proceed with his plan by applying the wristlock with his knee maintaining pressure on the champion’s limb!
Deadprez: Aw hell yeah, look at this kid go! He’s locked in. So far, he’s been doing great in such a high-stakes match in this open challenge, not only proving himself but also truly fighting to win the championship and shock the entire world! If we see some unique outcome, I wouldn’t be surprised!
Gavin Kirkland: It’s too early to predict anything because to understand who Cody is, he’s the man who has been in many situations where he pulls a rabbit out of his hat and leaves us surprised so if Sorn is surprised that he doesn’t win the championship match tonight, it will just be part of Cody’s strategy. Sorn is seen kneeling on the ground while holding onto the wrist, further bending it to the side, which causes the champion to focus even more on figuring a way out.
Eve: Sorn attempts to snap the wrist, and Cody groans, but the expression on the champion’s face shows that he’s still focused and planning an escape. Maverick begins forcing himself off the ground while Sorn continues to track his target by holding onto his wrist. Maverick glances around, looking for an opening before rolling forward to loosen the hold slightly before seizing the brief moment to grab one of Sorn’s legs executing a takedown that sends Sorn stumbling back to the ground!
Gavin Kirkland: Maverick is still holding onto the leg as he immediately applies an elbow drop to it to force some offense against his challenger and the champ picks that same leg up further attempting a cover.

Gavin Kirkland: Only a one count for now, but the force of that kick out causes Cody to stumble forward, with Sorn quickly snatching him by the head into a guillotine position and then rolls to the side into the Butterfly Lock stretching Maverick’s arm out! Smart move!
Deadprez: Wow, talking about quickness and in-ring IQ, he seems to be displaying that very well right now by capitalizing on Cody’s weakness!
Eve: The champion’s face tells the Newcastle crowd that he’s slowly getting fed up with this tight hold exchange and begins using one of his hands, glancing around to find a way to escape. Remember, Cody only has one arm to free himself from the hold and get out of the suffocation, which shows that Sorn has done a great job controlling his opponent.
Deadprez: The Japanese wrestling scene must have taught this man a lot about holds, exchanges, and strategies to counter against him, but Cody is looking to tackle those tactics with his strength here. Fight back, Cody! You got this!
Gavin Kirkland: Newcastle fans clap in order to motivate the champion to get back on top. Not only are they enjoying this match, but they’re also hoping Cody will show something crazy. Maverick slowly gets to his feet, allowing Sorn to control him while he’s still in the hold!
Eve: He’s deadlifting his challenger right now as Maverick stretches the other arm out, while Sorn continues to let the Butterfly Lock do its job. Maverick pulls his arm back a little from the pain, trying to avoid Sorn from attacking before he’s eventually able to throw a right hand towards the side of Sorn’s limb, allowing Maverick to apply the full deadlift!… AND MAVERICK DROPS SORN FROM HIS DEADLIFT GRASP WITH A DDT!!!!!!!!

Gavin Kirkland: The challenger is seen holding his head in pain after being captured in the DDT and trying to pull himself back up from the ground. Maverick is one step ahead, quickly getting off the ground and charging to the ropes, possibly looking for a clothesline!
Eve: European Uppercut! Sorn takes a swing of his own to stop Maverick in his tracks! The Future Ace quickly follows up with a spinning back kick to the gut, dropping Cody to his knees!… AND SORN FINISHES OFF THE COMBO WITH A SUPERKICK!!!!
Deadprez: He pulled off all those moves while holding his head back from the damage he sustained from the DDT, putting the champion down for a moment! This kid is AMAZING!
Gavin Kirkland: That’s why the future is so bright for our company, because we have this type of talent adding to our roster and doing what they can to respect the image! Cody is sprawling on the ground after the quick combos performed by Sorn, which seem to be pretty effective. Sorn stumbles back and finds himself placed in the corner!
Eve: Cody is starting to recover from those shots and is already up to his knees. Sorn moves quickly, heading up to the top! Maverick is seen holding his mouth, struggling on his wobbly legs, while Sorn has him in his sights, preparing to soar!…. DIVING CROSSBODY TAKES DOWN CODY!!!!

Gavin Kirkland: OH, AND SORN JUST FURIOUSLY CONNECTING WITH THE CHAMPION SENDING HIM BACK!!!!! Did that shot from Maverick just awaken his fighting spirit all of a sudden?!
Deadprez: What kind of chop was that? It’s so harsh that the Newcastle crowd is also flabbergasted by it!
Eve: This is where the painful fun begins for these two, with Maverick this time repeatedly forearm smashing Sorn in the jaw, and Sorn only being pushed back by the offensive power shown by Cody! Cody is making use of that forearm… AND HE FINALLY THROWS HIMSELF BACK TO THE ROPES, LOOKING FOR THE CLOTHESLINE TO TURN SORN INSIDE OUT!!!!!
Gavin Kirkland: LOW DROPKICK!!!! Sorn uses a smart tactic to put Cody back on his knees with the low dropkick at the center of the ring. Eve: There’s no denying that not only did Sorn give Cody a tough fight, but he’s also showing what the future ace has in store for us. He’s truly capable of fighting for the championship. Incredible performance by Sorn, but still not quite able to match the level Cody was on tonight.
Gavin Kirkland: Sorn is surely disappointed that he fumbled his first title match in EAW, but he’ll learn that someday, with hard work and trust in progress, he can be just like them.
(‘Kostas’ by Westside Gunn, Conway the Machine, and Benny the Butcher plays as Cody Maverick gets to his feet and receives the National Elite Championship. He raises both his hands and the title in the air, while Sorn sits up, realizing he has failed. Sorn holds himself back from letting out his anger, then rolls out of the ring, slowly making his way to the back while holding his head. Cody continues to celebrate and Showdown fades into a commercial break.)

Mikaela Street: Hello Alana, you asked for this time as you had a special announcement that you wanted to giver, correct?
Alana Starr: That is right, Miks and thanks for having me. Everyone knows that Fighting Spirit is just a few weeks away, and that is the last stop before we finally get to Pain For Pride. Well, as we know, with the biggest event coming in just a few short months, with only seven Showdown’s left and Fighting Spirit, it was important for us to think about the Elitists that deserve a shot at the Answers World Championship.
Mikaela Street: There are so many worthy ones here in the EAW and on Showdown, which truly has been a staple for the Blue Brand, incredible matches for the top prize.
Alana Starr: That is right, and so Kennedy Street and I talked about it, and it cannot be one on one, because there are quite a few Elitists who at least deserve the chance at the shot for the title. As we saw earlier, Donovan Duke is defending the Answers World Championship against none other than a returning Charlie Marr at Fighting Spirit. The winner of that match is going to defend the Answers World Championship in what of the Main Events at Pain For Pride.
Mikaela Street: This is truly exciting, so who will be involved in the match?
(Alana smirks.)
Alana Starr: I am glad that you asked that because I want to bring in right now, TLA and Ryan Wilson, the Hustle Alliance, along with Jon Kelton and Bronson Daniels, Elysium.
(The Hustle Alliance walks into camera view as does Elysium. All four men are standing around Alana Starr and Mikaela Street.)
Alana Starr: Gentlemen, thank you for joining me here, I know this was short notice, but after the Grand Rampage, the performance of all four of you, whether it was in the actual Grand Rampage match or the Unified Tag Team Title match, doesn’t matter, the fact is throughout the season you four have been consistent throughout, TLA, you were the Answers World Champion to start the season, Bronson you won it at Road to Redemption only to have it slip through your fingers, Jon Kelton, you were seconds away from winning it at Reasonable Doubt, and Ryan Wilson you have shown tenacity in big matches.
Mikaela Street: So, what are you saying, Alana?
Alana Starr: So, what I am saying is simple. One of these four men deserves to Main Event Pain For Pride. So, at Fighting Spirit we are going to have a Fatal Four-Way between two of the best tag teams in the EAW, but you four will NOT be partners, but individuals as it is every man for himself. The winner will become the Number one contender for the Answers World Champion and will face Donovan Duke or Charlie Marr at Pain For Pride.
(You can hear the crowd cheering loudly.)
Alana Starr: But there is a caveat to all of this, as both Kennedy and I agreed. The winner of this match will not be the only contender and opponent for the Answers World Championship, because we are going to have one more match that will determine the other and it will be a TRIPLE THREAT for the Answers World Championship at Pain For Pride.
(All four men look at one another in a bit of shock, but they nod. )

(Showdown comes back from commercials as “Lost in the World” by Kanye West plays on the speakers, Jon Kelton bursts through onto the ramp, confidence and determination on his face, there is a lot of doubt yet again placed on him due to the match that he was going to put himself in, due to what happened at Grand Rampage, but he knows he can’t let this match slip from his hands yet again, he knew that there was a chance that he was able to do it before and he is not going to throw this away, with the people cheering loudly around him, he nods to himself and then walks forward.)

Gavin Kirkland: The crowd are booing HEAVILY at Donovan Duke after being able to pull off that amazing counter against Kelton, and not going to lie, even though he is an asshole, he is MY asshole, YEAAAAHHHH! LET’S GO SILAS WORLD, WOOOOOOOOOO!
Eve: Does Gavin actually think he is in the team now or something?

Gavin Kirkland: Donovan is taking it up with the crowd but of course he does not care as he yet again starts running up towards the ropes, getting some momentum here and then trying to run back, to go and hit Kelton right on the back of the head with a dropkick!
Eve: BUT KELTON IS ABLE TO AVOID THAT MOVE JUST LIKE BEFORE AND DONOVAN HITS NOTHING ON HIS WAY! KELTON STARTS RUNNING FORWARD TOWARDS THE ROPES, JUMPING ONTO THEM AND THEN TRYING TO FOR A SPRINGBOARD MOONSAULT!

Deadprez: And yet again, Donovan takes the opportunity to get the match back on his favor, once more showing off against the whole crowd and basically trying to mock them as he grabs onto the downed Kelton and then he just starts- STOMPING ON HIS ARM! STOMPING AWAY ON HIS LEGS TOO!
Eve: Donovan yet again taking it in a tactical way as he’s slowly walking around Kelton and then he’s stomping his limbs one by one, making sure that Kelton is feeling the pain of each stomp and trying his best to not let Kelton get the advantage once more.
Deadprez: These two men have fought against each other several times now and would like to say that they know each other well inside of the ring, but Kelton is fighting against a new Donovan, a more vicious and unforgiving one, and he has to think out of the box here to be able to shut him down and find a weakness in his armor, the only good thing is that Kelton doesn’t have to worry about Silas World coming out… too bad that Kennedy couldn’t get Silas Mason himself out too.
Gavin Kirkland: Hey Silas, my good friend, you need a spot over here in the commentary table? It is all yours man, truly- alright, he is completely ignoring me.
Eve: And finally, Donovan is grabbing over onto the left leg of Jon Kelton here, the same leg that Kelton ended up smashing against the announcement table when fighting against Harper Lee, and Donovan of course will have no problem at all taking advantage of that, as he spins around and tries to go for a Figure Four-
Deadprez: KELTON FREES HIS LEG AT THE LAST SECOND AND IS ABLE TO PUSH DONOVAN BACK WITH ALL THE FORCE THAT HE HAS AND HE SENDS HIM OUT THROUGH THE ROPES!
Eve: Donovan goes flying out through the middle rope and then Kelton is able to push himself up to his feet, yet again feeding off of the energy of the whole crowd and I am sure that he has made up his mind that he’s truly going to go all out here! Kelton runs forward and then finally- HE LEAPS THROUGH THE ROPES AND HE TAKES DONOVAN DOWN WITH A SUICIDE DIVE!
Deadprez: DONOVAN GOES DOWN HARD AGAINST THE BARRICADES AND KELTON RISES UP TO HIS FEET, RAISING HIS VOICE OUT TOWARDS THE WHOLE CROWD, AND JUST LIKE THAT, KELTON GOT THE MATCH SWINGING BACK IN HIS FAVOR!
Eve: Kelton knows that he has no time to waste and has no time to let Donovan get a plan going, he ends up pointing towards Silas Mason, knowing and expecting foul play from his part, and let us be honest, good choice taken there by Kelton as he knows what to expect by this point with these people.

Eve: Ignoring Gavin’s stupid comments for like the millionth time, Kelton grabs tightly onto Donovan’s head and then throws him right inside of the ring without wasting time! Kelton jumps onto the ring apron and then rises up along the ropes with haste, hurrying up and trying his best to not give Donovan a chance to breathe! He flies right over the ropes, lands-
Deadprez: AND THEN HE TAKES OUT THE ANSWERS WORLD CHAMPION WITH A BEAUTIFUL SPRINGBOARD CLOTHESLINE! KELTON DOESN’T WASTE MORE TIME AND THEN HE MOVES, TRYING TO COVER AND GO FOR THAT THREE COUNT!
Referee: ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
Referee: TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!
Eve: But Kelton sadly is only able to get a two count here, and just from that pinfall attempt, Kelton is not staying down and his mind is working here! He grabs onto Donovan yet again and then he tosses him towards the corner!
Deadprez: Kelton jumps onto the second rope and climbs up the corner, he raises up his arms, getting the crowd hyped and getting them into the moment, as he grabs onto Donovan’s hair- AND THEN HE STARTS WALLOPING HIM WITH VARIOUS STRIKES TOWARDS HIS HEAD!
Eve: KELTON IS NOT HOLDING BACK WITH THE STRENGTH OF THE PUNCHES, AND HE’S NOT SLOWING DOWN EITHER AS THE CROWD STARTS COUNTING ALONGSIDE HIM!

Deadprez: And just as Kelton raises his fist up and he goes to deliver the last punch-

Gavin Kirkland: AND IT IS GOING TO HURT A LOT MORE AS DONOVAN PULLS HIM BACK AND GOES FOR ANOTHER GERMAN SUPLEX, TAKE HIM OUT DONOVAN!
Deadprez: KELTON AT THE LAST SECOND IS ABLE TO PUT HIS ARMS DOWN AND STOP HIM-
Eve: IT WAS A FAINT! DONOVAN SUDDENLY MOVES HIS ARMS AT THE LAST SECOND AND SWITCHES POSITIONS, GRABBING ONTO KELTON’S HEAD INSTEAD AND THEN HITTING HIM DOWN TO THE MAT WITH A SWINGING NECKBREAKER! Gosh, that hurt bad!
Deadprez: The referee moving now to go and count that pin as Donovan covers Kelton!

Eve: But it is not enough to keep Kelton down and he is able to kick out right before the three count! Donovan looked slightly annoyed but I don’t know what he truly expects out of this considering the last time that they met Kelton was able to stay alive no matter what he threw at him.
Gavin Kirkland: Which made him end the match with no energy at all and big man Ronan was able to take him down, Silas World is just strong like that.
Eve: WITH brass knuckles, let’s not forget about that detail, obviously.
Gavin Kirkland: You don’t need any details when the only thing that we get around here is RESULTS, BABYYYY! DONOVAN MOUNTS OVER KELTON AND THEN HE STARTS WALLOPING HIM WITH LEFT AND RIGHTS, OUR ANSWERS WORLD CHAMPION NOT HOLDING BACK ON THE STRENGTH AS HE STARTS LAYING THE LAW DOWN ON KELTON! HECK YEAH!
Eve: BUT EVEN WITH ALL OF THOSE PUNCHES RAINING DOWN ON HIM, KELTON IS STILL FINDING FIRE AND MOTIVATION TO KEEP PUSHING FORWARD! HE IS MOVING HIS HEAD TRYING TO DODGE AND WEAVE THE PUNCHES!

Eve: KELTON ENDS UP MOVING HIS HEAD AS WELL, AND THE TWO OF THEM COLLIDE WITH A ROUGH LOOKING HEADBUTT! Both of the opponents are loopy and trying to get their head back in the game!
Deadprez: It looks like Donovan is the first one to be able to find his, as he pulls his legs back and then pushes them against Kelton’s gut- BEFORE PUSHING HIM OFF WITH A MONKEY FLIP!
Gavin Kirkland: How is Kelton still fighting?! Kelton grabs onto Donovan’s wrists at the last second and the two of them lay flat on the mat, the referee drops down to actually count for a double pinfall!
Eve: But just as the referee ends up counting a one! Kelton and Donovan’s right shoulders are able to raise off their mat! They come down again and as the referee counts again, now their left shoulders end up rising as well! The two of them are fighting and trying to get out of this precarious situation! Donovan tries to rise now-
Deadprez: Kelton shows some surprising athleticism though, as he uses his legs to boost himself back and end up on top of Donovan again!
Eve: Donovan puts his legs yet again at the last second and this time pushing Kelton right up to his feet, Donovan boosting himself up along with him using the momentum and trying to jump onto the ropes to go for a springboard move here, Donovan using some technical prowess here and showing off yet again-
Deadprez: But Kelton at the last second is able to stomp hard onto Donovan’s leg, Donovan slipping and then falling onto Kelton’s shoulders as Kelton heads forward and then he tries going here for a Running Powerslam to take Donovan down!
Gavin Kirkland: Our glorious, talented and very handsome Answers World Champion is able to slip off of Kelton’s shoulders at the last second, Kelton is yet again expecting a German Suplex here but Donovan instead goes for a Rear Naked Choke, trying to squeeze the life out of Kelton AND TO MAKE HIM TAP OUT LIKE A LITTLE BEE-ATCH, EXACTLYYYYYYYYY!!!
Eve: Donovan trying to use Kelton’s own knowledge of himself against him, trying to make him think that he is going to go for something that he’s used to when in fact he is not, turning Kelton’s muscle memory against him is truly evil and intelligent at the same time.
Deadprez: But you think that Kelton gives a single damn about that?! Despite Donovan putting all his force in those arms and trying to make Kelton tap out, Kelton shakes his head against the adversity, as he is actually using his own force to prevent Donovan from wrapping his legs around him and basically going in for the kill! KELTON STARTS STRUGGLING AND THEN FINALLY AT THE LAST MOMENT, KELTON IS ABLE TO THROW DONOVAN AGAINST THE CORNER BACK FIRST!
Eve: DONOVAN BOUNCES HARD AGAINST THE CORNER- BUT HE SUDDENLY BURST THROUGH OUT OF IT AND THEN HE TRIES TO HIT KELTON RIGHT ON THE FACE WITH THE “FORCE OF WILL”! THE SPINNING BACKFIST OUT OF NOWHERE!
Gavin Kirkland: BUT AFTER GETTING HIT SEVERAL TIMES IN THE FACE WITH IT, KELTON IS FINALLY ABLE TO DUCK DOWN AT THE LAST SECOND AND AVOID IT, HE RAISES UP HIS LEG TO GO FOR THE “GALICK GUN” SUPERKICK!
Deadprez: DONOVAN RAISES UP HIS ARM TO BLOCK IT!
Eve: KELTON IS ABLE TO FEINT THE SUPERKICK AT THE LAST SECOND, AS HE GRABS ONTO DONOVAN’S HEAD INSTEAD WHILE HIS GUARD DOWN AND THEN KELTON HITS HIM DOWN WITH THE TWIST OF FATE! Kelton uses Donovan’s own strategy against him, as Kelton moves over and then goes to pin him!

(The crowd erupts as from the crowd Charlie Marr hops the gate barrier and as Donovan is about to use the screwdriver – )

(Kelton raises his arms in victory as Bronson pulls him to the back as Silas Mason is hopping up and down screaming while Donovan Duke is sitting up bleeding from his forehead and Harper is tending to him, but he is still the Answers World Champion holding it to his chest.
(The last shot is Charlie Marr with a huge smile on his face watching what he did and finally got some revenge again for what Silas World did to him as it cuts to a commercial break.)

Gina Romano: EAW AND SHOWDOWN UNIVERSE! PLEASE WELCOME AT THIS TIME “THE GOLDEN STAR” VEENA ADAMS!
(“7 Rings” by Ariana Grande starts to play throughout the arena as the fans stand up and cheer. Veena Adams slowly walks out, looking around at the crowd as she smirks, heading to the ring with confidence.)
Deadprez: Here comes Veena Adams, and she is coming off a huge victory over Silas World! Veena Adams knows that Pain For Pride is right around the corner, and she is ready to take claim her spot at the biggest event of the year.
Eve: Do not forget that her boyfriend, Charlie Marr came back last week at Grand Rampage and helped them with the interference by Silas World, so they can go ahead and argue all they want, all that Charlie did was even the odds.
Gavin Kirkland: It was a huge win for Veena and Milli Banks, but they opened up the gates of hell with Silas World, and Kennedy Street came out to make sure that they knew she was behind Charlie Marr coming back!
(Veena enters the ring, she has the mic handed to her by Gina Romano as her theme dies down.)
Veena Adams: Newcastle, England! The Golden Star has arrived!
(The crowd continues to cheer as she is all smiles.)
Veena Adams: Okay… okay…. So, let’s just like get right down to business and Uggo World. Silas Mason thinks he is soooooo smart, and has created an army of Elitists to basically run Showdown. Remind you of anything? Yeah, Devolution. The only difference is that Devolution Was unorganized. They didn’t have a brains behind the brawns, and much as I hate to say this because he is like ewwwww! Silas Mason is not an idiot, he does know what he is doing.
(The fans boo at Veena giving him compliments.)
Veena Adams: Oh, trust me, I know. I like want to just shower and stuff, but anyway, Silas World thought they were going to outsmart us with all of their stupid games, but at the end of the day, what happened? We gave them a taste of their own medicine and WON at Grand Rampage!
(The fans erupt in cheers.)
Veena Adams: But they still have the Specialist Championship and the Answers World Championship. Before I get to that though, I want to talk about a few things. I remember when I first came here back in the summer of 2019, everyone thought that I was just some spoiled brat. The niece of Ryan Adams, Methuselah to all of you, the Chairman of the EAW. And you were right. I was a spoiled little entitled bitch that wanted to have everything handed to her. I found myself struggling after that, yes I had a power grab move of trying to be in charge, and all of that, no one took me seriously.
(Veena paces for a minute as the crowd boos at her words. She sighs and looks right into the camera.)
Veena Adams: Whether it was on Dynasty, Voltage, it didn’t matter, I was just another name on the roster that was there trying to make a name for myself, and it was not working. Then I came to Showdown, and I knew that this was it. My last shot to make something out of this career I chose or else I would just be a forgotten name in the long list of former talents because that is where I would have ended up and like, that totally sucks and would be working like at a Victoria Secret’s store in some run down mall.

Veena Adams: Unfortunately, I would have to say YES. But instead of that fate, what I did instead was REFOCUS, I changed my look, knew that this was it, and slowly but surely I won my first Championship a couple of seasons ago, the same thing happened last season as I won the National Elite Championship for a second time. But when I cam so close to breaking the record, I was cashed in by SOSA Henderson after defeating Cody Maverick and then I found myself with nothing. Shortly afterwards I broke my ankle, had to get surgery and was out for a few months.
(She paces the ring some before looking back up at the people who cheer, she then smiles.)
Veena Adams: But what did I say? When I came back? I was going to go after the ultimate goal and become a World Champion. For SIX years I have had to battle criticisms and opinions! For SIX years I have had some embarrassing losses and very few wins until the last few season when I finally made a name for myself here on SHOWDOWN! And now? I WANT to be the Answers World Champion!
(The crowd stands up and cheers loudly.)
Veena Adams: And I don’t care what I have to do but I –
(Suddenly ‘Don’t’ by Azumi Takahashi and Lotus Juice starts to play throughout the arena as the crowd stands up and roar. Milli Banks suddenly comes out with a smile on her face and nods looking out at the sold out crowd. She starts to make her way to the ring.)
Deadprez: And here comes Veena’s bestie and tag team partner, Milli Banks! And we know that this woman as well wants another World Championship, after losing it at Shock Value.
Eve: Veena knows why Milli is out here, you can tell by the smile on her face as Milli Banks makes it to the ring and rolls in! She is face to face with Veena before they hug!
(The fans go wild as these two women hug.)
Gavin Kirkland: Maybe we are just going to see two beautiful women support themselves! I should go In there and interview them both!
(Milli asks for a mic as one of the assistants hand it to her. She nods as her music dies down.)
Milli Banks: I apologize for interrupting you, girl. We both know that, but I have to say that standing back there and listening to your journey is inspirational and while my road to get here was hard as well, I didn’t go through those times that you did for years, but what I did do was climb my way to the very top of the ladder and become the Universal Women’s Champion last season at Pain For Pride. And while that title is out of reach for me now….
(Milli Banks pauses for a moment.)
Milli Banks: … to become the Answers World Champion.
(Veena Adams nods, looking down and smiling, but she then looks at Milli.)
Milli Banks: I know how bad you want it Veena, but so do I. We talked about Main Eventing Pain For Pride. I did that last year against arguably the best woman in this company Minerva or at least top two or three and a long but gone Hikari Kanno. But this time, whether it is Charlie Marr or Donovan Duke, I need to be int hat match.
Veena Adams: I respect the hell out of you my friend. But no one is going to get in my way of getting a shot at the Answers World Championship and we both know that. I love you to death girl, but this is my destiny.
Milli Banks: I love you too girl, and this is mine. And I –
(Before Milli could finish “Her” by Megan Thee Stallion starts to play throughout the arena as the fans cheer. Kennedy Street walks out and stands in the rampway. The theme dies down.)
Kennedy Street: Ladies…. Ladies. There is no argument here because BOTH of you deserve to Main Event Pain For Pride and a shot at the Answers World Championship. I am a woman that believes strongly that other women deserve those spots. Showdown has had one of the longest reigning of all time in Kassidy Heart. And honestly I would put you both in the Answers World Championship Main Event because I know what it is like to work so hard to something that finally happens for the first time, and while Milli had a Main Event spot last year, she still deserves another shot with the type of season she has had. So, Ladies, one of you is going to get that spot.
(The crowd explodes in cheers as both Veena Adams and Milli Banks nods and then look at one another.)
Kennedy Street: Because at Fighting Spirit it will be Veena Adams versus Milli Banks, and the winner will join the winner of the Fatal Four-Way and the Answers World Champion in the MAIN EVENT AT PAIN FOR PRIDE!!!!
(The crowd explodes in cheers as Veena and Milli turn and look at one another, they both smile and hug because they know that one of them will Main Event Pain For Pride.)
Eve: WHAT AN ANNOUNCEMENT! AT FIGHTING SPIRIT ONE OF THESE TWO WOMEN WILL BE IN THE MAIN EVENT AT PAIN FOR PRIDE!
Gavin Kirkland: WHAT AN ANNOUNCEMENT! AND THE MAIN EVENT IS GOING TO BE THAT MUCH MORE BEAUTIFUL!
Deadprez: THAT IS ALL THE TIME WE HAVE TONIGHT! VEENA ADAMS, MILLI BANKS! ONE OF THESE TWO WOMEN WILL BE MAIN EVENTING PAIN FOR PRIDE ALONG WITH A MEMBER OF THE HUSTLE ALLIANCE OR ELYSIUM…. PLUS THE WINNER OF CHARLIE MARR AND DONOVAN DUKE! FOR EVE AND GAVIN! I AM DEADPREZ, WE WILL SEE YOU ALL NEXT WEEK! GOODNIGHT EVERYONE!
(The final scene is Kennedy Street looking on as Milli and Veena continue to hug each other knowing that one of them will be in the Main Event at Pain For Pride.)
