Deadprez: EAW Universe…. Welcome to Showdown…. We have a situation going on in the back as we are about to go on the air, there are camera going there right now, as we were told by the production crew that our Intro was being interrupted.
Eve: I don’t know what the hell is going on right now, but what I do know there is a panic backstage and our camera crews are heading that way right now.
Gavin Kirkland: It is a volatile situation after everything that happened last week at King of Elite including the crowning of a new King in Adam Lucas. But right now…. Wait…. I think we are getting a camera back there right now….
(The camera personnel rush to the backstage area where suddenly we see Ms. Extreme have a hold of Kennedy Street’s hair, slamming her into the garage door.)
Ms. Extreme: I DON’T GIVE A DAMN IF YOU ARE THE GENERAL MANAGER OR NOT! I AM TIRED OF YOU INTERFERING IN MY MATCHES AND TRYING TO MAKE SURE ALL THOSE WHO DON’T BOW AND KISS YOUR FEET ARE HELD DOWN!
(Kennedy tries to get back up to her feet, she takes one of her heels off and throws it at Ms. Extreme, but it misses, she then charges at Kennedy and spears her right back into the garage door.)
Deadprez: WE NEED TO GET SOME HELP OUT THERE! MS. EXTREME HAS AMBUSHED THE GENERAL MANAGER OF SHOWDOWN AND WE ALL KNOW THAT SHE COULD BE FIRED FOR THIS!
Eve: MS. EXTREME HAS COMPLETELY LOST IT AND HERE IS HEIDI HUXLEY! SHE IS GETTING BETWEEN HER AND KENNEDY!
Gavin Kirkland: THE EVIL! DON’T TOUCH HER FACE! SOMEBODY GET SOME HELP!
(Kennedy crumbles to the floor as Ms. Extreme grabs the General Manager by the hair…)
Ms. Extreme: I AM DONE PLAYING YOUR GAMES! I TOLDYOU TO [BLEEP] DISNEY AND I MEANT EVERY WORD OF IT!
(Ms. Extreme backs up some, she looks ready to kick Kennedy’s face in when suddenly Heidi Huxley runs in front of her! She starts screaming at Camille.)
Heidi Huxley: ENOUGH! THIS STOPS RIGHT NOW!
Ms. Extreme: I WILL KICK YOUR ASS TOO!
Heidi Huxley: Stop this lunacy right now! You will NOT Be warned again, Camille!
(Ms. Extreme doesn’t care, pushing Heidi Huxley out of the way, she looks again to kick Kennedy in the head who is trying to slowly get up…..)
Deadprez: JACK RIPLEY OUT OF NOWHERE TACKLES MS. EXTREME DOWN! JACK IS LAYING FISTICUFFS ON MS. EXTREME! SHE TURNS AND STARTS TRYING TO THROW FISTS AT HIM TOO! BOTH WRESTLERS ARE BRAWLING NOW AS THE SECRUTIY, OFFICIALS AND MORE QUICKLY RUN INTOT HE SCENE, SEPERATING THEM!
Eve: THIS HAS TURNED INTO AN EXTREMELY, NO PUN INTENDED, VOLATILE SITUATION! MS. EXTREME HAS LOST IT AND PHYSICALLY ATTACKED THE GENERAL MANAGER AND THERE WILL BE CONSEQUNECES TO PAY! SECURITY HAS MS. EXTREME AND JACK SEPERATED!
Gavin Kirkland: THERE ARE A TON OF SECURITY AND OFFICIALS THERE! THEY ARE GRABBING MS. EXTREME AND DRAGGING HER AWAY!
(Kennedy finally is up, holding the back of her neck, screaming….)
Kennedy Street: SHE IS BANNED FROM THE ARENA TONIGHT! YOU GET HER THE HELL OUT OF HERE NOW! LET JACK GO!
(Security let’s Jack Ripley go as he pushes them away and checks on Kennedy Street who is quickly flanked by medical personnel. Heidi is screaming for them to take her to the hospital. The final shot is Ms. Extreme getting dragged away to the outside while she is kicking and screaming. The scene quickly fades into the EAW intro and the start of Showdown.)

(RECAP–Last week, the King of Elite event took place at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The two day event included many matches where the blue brand of Showdown was proudly represented. One match was Showdown’s Xander Payne and Ryan Joseph Wilson defeating Voltage’s Ice Aces. In an inter-branded triple threat match where Voltage’s Sheridan Muller defeated Showdown’s Harper Lee and Dynasty’s Madison Kaline. In a match for the Specialist’s Championship, Voltage’s ARIA successfully defended her title against Showdown’s Lexi. In the final match of the Empress of Elite tournament, it was Dynasty’s Serenity Valdez who defeated Showdown’s Holly Arrow to win the tournament and claim the crown.)
(The recap continues to a skybox where Showdown GM Kennedy Street was having a soiree that ended with chaos when Ms. Extreme appears and pours food down her top. Another King of Elite match had Kassidy Heart barely defeating Ms. Extreme in a singles match that Kennedy Street turned into a Street Fight. In a match for the National Elite Championship, Veena Adams won the title after she kicked Donovan Duke into an unconscious state. The next match shown was Impact defeating Jake Smith by disqualification for the Answers World Championship after a returning Chris Elite came out of nowhere and superkicked Impact in the face. Due to the rules, Jake retained the title. Finally, in the finals of the King of Elite tournament, it was a hard fought battle for the ages. In the end, it was Showdown’s Adam Lucas who defeated Voltage’s Drake King and Dynasty’s Bronson Daniels to win the tournament and the King of Elite crown. The final shot shows Adam and his wife and new Universal Women’s Champion Dr. Bethany Blue celebrating as the recap ends…)
(“Brick Wall” by A Day to Remember starts to play which signifies another edition of Saturday Night Showdown. The crowd is up on their feet and cheering as loud as they can in the Sullivan Arena in Anchorage, Alaska. The camera pans around the arena showing all the excited fans who are holding up their colorful and creatively made signs as well as the merchandise they wear in support of their favorite Elitists or showing their distaste for their other Elitists. After traveling around the arena, the camera stops at the commentary table where Deadprez, Eve, and Gavin Kirkland are sitting ready to call all the Showdown action. )
Deadprez: Ladies and gentlemen, we are on the heels of a monumental King of Elite event. We are LIVE! This is SATURDAY! NIGHT! SHOWDOWN! We’re happy to be coming from the great Sullivan Arena in Anchorage, Alaska. We are about to start another great edition of Showdown. Isn’t that right?
Eve: You better believe it. I mean tonight has already been energetic with what just happened with Ms. Extreme earlier in the night and it is only going to get more hyped up from there.
Gavin Kirkland: Especially with Reasonable Doubt only three weeks away. It’s going to hit hard and hit fast and it ain’t gonna slow down anytime soon.
Deadprez: How about the fallout of the Answers World Championship match? Impact won, but he is NOT happy that he didn’t leave an 11-Time World Champion. Tonight, he will be calling out Jake Smith and Chris Elite in the ring.
Gavin Kirkland: We also have the team of Xander Payne and Ryan Joseph Wilson looking towards their match at Reasonable Doubt. They beat the Ice Aces last week and that could presumably make them the Number One Contenders for the Unified Tag Team Titles.
Deadprez: Soul Food Sunday taking on Payne and Wilson will be an amazing match. Speaking of titles, the NEW National Elite Champion Veena Adams will no doubt be showing off her new Championship belt in only a way that Veena can. That’s tonight.
Gavin Kirkland: We also will be hearing from POTARA tonight. Both Holly and Harper fought hard, but left empty handed at King of Elite. We can only wonder what is going to happen next for POTARA!
Deadprez: We also have word that we will be hearing from the Major. Major Scotty Connor will have something to say as we head to Reasonable Doubt. What’s on Scotty’s mind? We’ll find out.
Gavin Kirkland: THE MATCHES, PREZZY!! I LOVE THE MATCHES BECAUSE WE WRESTLE!!!
Eve: Gavin is obviously excited, and I can’t blame him because we have an awesome lineup for matches that includes the undefeated Drake Armstrong taking on Komatsu Ogawa in singles action. Will Drake stay undefeated, or will Ogawa start his winning ways here tonight?
Gavin Kirkland: We also have a battle of crazies! Harley Lewis will be taking on Lexi tonight. Lexi has changed her ways and so has Harley, but who will reign supreme tonight? We also have a hot match with Hans Grayson taking on Jack Ripley. Rookie vs. Veteran tonight. Will it be the raw talent of Grayson or the veteran instinct of Ripley that comes out on top? That’s also tonight.
Eve: We also have Lucas Johnson taking on Roberto De La Rosa. Will the numbers game from La Familia guide Roberto to victory or will Lucas use his years of experience to power through La Familia? We also have a battle of former New Breed Champions tonight. Alex Myers takes on Jon Kelton. This is both competitors’ first match on Showdown since their respective losses to Adam Lucas in the tournament. Alex has fire and desire and Kelton wants to get himself back on track after coming so close to being a finalist. Who will begin building their momentum with a win tonight? We will find out.
Deadprez: In our main event tonight, we have the Mauler taking on the Gentleman. Kassidy Heart and Donovan Duke will be going one on one. Kassidy looks to get another victory, but Donovan wants to get back to winning ways after losing the National Elite Championship. Who will leave victorious? That’s tonight. We also will have the official Coronation of our King of Elite. King Adam Lucas will have his coronation and crowning as King of Elite. That will be later tonight. For now, let’s head to the ring where Gina Romano is and ready to kick off our opening contest for Showdown!
(The camera cuts to the ring where ring announcer Gina Romano is standing with a microphone in hand ready to start the introductions for the opening contest of Saturday Night Showdown.)
( The camera then cuts back to Saturday Night Showdown where Gina Romano stands poised and ready to announce the next competition. She looks confident and excited as she prepares to share the details of the upcoming match with the audience.)
Gina Romano: LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, THE FOLLOWING MATCH IS A SINGLES MATCH WITH A TV TIME LIMIT… AND IT’S SCHEDULED FOR ONE FALL!
Crowd: ONE FALL!
( As “Pride and Arrogance” by Takeru Kanazaki start to blast throughout the arena, the crowd lets out a chorus of boos as Drake Armstrong makes his way down to the ring. With a look of disappointment on his face, Drake pauses to play with the crowd, as if he thinks they are undeserving of his presence. He takes his time to tease the audience before finally making his way into the ring. Despite the negative reception, Drake seems unfazed, with a smirk on his face as he prepares to face his opponent. )
Gina Romano: INTRODUCING FIRST!… FROM SCARSDALE, NEW YORK!…. WEIGHING IN AT 260 POUNDS…… HE IS ‘THE FUTURE’ !…. DRAKEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!… ARMSTRONGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Gavin Kirkland: THE FUTURE OF SHOWDOWN! Well actually… OF EAW! In fact, this is the only Drake I like! Drake Armstrong has been showcasing his immense talent and charm over the past few weeks since his debut on Showdown. This evening, he’s scheduled to face off against Komatsu Ogawa, and he’s determined to keep the ball rolling in his wrestling career!
Eve: Since joining EAW, Drake has been working tirelessly to build his reputation and establish his legacy. He’s eager to demonstrate his abilities and showcase his talent to the world. And now, once again, we have the opportunity to see Drake in action… but the question remains, will the spotlight shine solely on him tonight?
( As Drake steps into the ring, the opening chords of ‘Get Going’ by The Muddy Apes blare through the arena, signaling his arrival. The crowd is quickly drowned out by boos as Komatsu Ogawa and his manager, Yoshiaki Tanaka, make their way to the ring. Despite the animosity of the crowd, Ogawa shows no signs of being affected, instead making his way to the ring with a steely gaze. As he enters the ring, his eyes lock with Drake’s, creating an intense atmosphere before the two men turn their attention to the upcoming match. )
Gina Romano: HIS OPPONENT!… ACCOMPANIED BY YOSHIAKI TANAKA!… FROM TOKYO, JAPAN! WEIGHING IN AT 285 POUNDS!…. HE IS ‘THE DRUNKEN HEEL KING’ !…. KOMATSUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OGAWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Gavin Kirkland: Did I hear it right? I thought I heard that Ogawa had declared this year as ‘THE YEAR OF OGAWA’? Unbelievable! I can hardly contain my excitement to see what he has in store for that!
Deadprez: Are you serious right now?
Gavin Kirkland: Oh come on, Prez! FEAR!… the might of Ogawa! Did you know that he’s the fifth son of one of the most fearsome Japanese samurais in history? His lineage alone is enough to strike terror into the hearts of his opponents!
Eve: Source?
Gavin Kirkland: Trust me.
( DING DING DING! )
Gavin Kirkland: The match between Drake and Ogawa has commenced. Drake makes a quick exit from the corner, intent on striking Ogawa with a powerful boot. However, Ogawa manages to duck and roll out of harm’s way, returning to his feet in the process. As Drake turns back to face Ogawa, he is on both knees. Ogawa takes the opportunity to strike with a Yakuza Kick, but Drake deftly sidesteps and shoves Ogawa towards the ropes, finally sending him over the ropes with a fast clothesline!
Eve: Ogawa lands both knees on the apron. Drake quickly gets up, attempting to strike Ogawa’s face with a right hand. However, Ogawa deftly catches Drake’s hand, tossing it aside and striking him with a straight right hand. Drake staggers back into the ring. Seizing the opportunity, Ogawa jumps in and lands a springboard double knee strike, but DRAKE COUNTERS WITH A HIGH KNEE RIGHT INTO HIS FACE IN THE AIR!
Deadprez: Ogawa falls unconscious to the ground, but Drake quickly picks him up and returns him to his feet. Drake then lifts Ogawa high into the air and delivers an Alabama Slam, sending Ogawa crashing into the corner!
Gavin Kirkland: Ogawa stumbles out of the corner, looking dazed. Drake takes advantage of this and places Ogawa onto his shoulder, before crashing him to the ground with a powerful powerslam. Drake’s tactics have been impressive thus far! Drake decides against going for a cover, instead, he picks himself up and begins to pace around Ogawa as he lies on the ground in pain.
Deadprez: Drake takes hold of Ogawa’s right hand and tries to stretch it to its limits, attempting to put pressure on the joints and fingers. He manipulates each finger individually, attempting to weaken Ogawa’s grip!
Gavin Kirkland: This man is on his serial killer arc right now! He’s a psychopath!
Deadprez: Drake slams his right hand to the ground and stomps it right away with force! Drake violently strikes Ogawa’s hand with his foot, applying force by pressing it!
Eve: Drake removes his foot from Ogawa’s hand and grabs him by the hair, pulling him back to his feet. He takes hold of Ogawa’s head and drives his face into the top turnbuckle. Drake takes a moment to step back away…
Eve: before raising his boot high and delivering a powerful stomp to the back of Ogawa’s head while his face is against the top turnbuckle! Ogawa stumbles out of the corner backwardly…. INTO DRAKE’S DRAGON SUPLEX! DRAKE HANGS IT ON AS HE GOES FOR A PINFALL ATTEMPT ON OGAWA!

Gavin Kirkland: Despite the punishment he’s taken, Ogawa manages to kick out before the referee counts to three, much to Drake’s disappointment. The expression of frustration on Drake’s face looks just like that Drake who lost to our great King Adam Lucas in the 2023 King of Elite final round, haha! Drake rolls down to the corner behind him and slowly pushes himself off the mat while Ogawa tries to recover-
Gavin Kirkland: HEY, IT’S YOSHIAKI TANAKA! HE’S TRYING TO GET INTO THE REFEREE, BUT THE REFEREE PREVENTS HIM FROM GETTING INSIDE!
( Drake quickly points at Tanaka, trying to threaten him. )
Drake Armstrong: (Off-Mic) Hey, go away, you hag!… or I’ll come down there and get you-
Eve: LOOK FROM BEHIND! OGAWA WITH A CRUCIFIX PIN! HE’S GOING TO STEAL IT!

Eve: DRAKE KICKS OUT! Both men quickly get to their feet. Ogawa charges Drake with a running lariat but Drake ducks underneath hooks Ogawa’s arms, and takes him down to the floor into a roll-up on his own this time!

Gavin Kirkland: DRAKE KICKS OUT AGAIN! Is this Kick-Out Party? Both wrestlers rise to their feet once again. Ogawa quickly strikes Drake with a Jumping High Kick to the head! Ogawa then rolls behind Drake and attempts a Deadlift Bridging German Suplex!… BUT DRAKE LANDS ON BOTH FEET!
Gavin Kirkland: Drake sneaks up from behind and lands a series of calf kicks on Ogawa’s leg, determined to take away his mobility. The blows send Ogawa down to both knees, and Drake seizes the opportunity to lock him in a sleeper suplex position!….
Eve: Ogawa with a right elbow to the side of Drake’s head just in time and proceeds to bring him down to the front with a quick armdrag! Drake rolls back to his feet right away… HE TURNS BACK TO OGAWA INTO STO, TAKING DRAKE RIGHT DOWN TO THE GROUND! Ogawa keeps his right arm on Drake’s neck and rolls him up… FOR A TRIANGLE CHOKE! A TRIANGLE CHOKE APPLIES!
Deadprez: Ogawa has secured a Triangle Choke, making it nearly impossible for Drake to escape. Drake groans in pain, desperately trying to break free, but Ogawa isn’t letting him go anytime soon. The hold is tight, and Drake has a hard time struggling to get out. With a final effort, Drake reaches for the bottom rope with his free hand…
Gavin Kirkland: OGAWA ROLLS BACK TO THE CENTER OF THE RING AND REFUSES TO LET DRAKE ESCAPE THROUGH THE ROPE BREAK! HE MAINTAINS THE SUBMISSION HOLD, DETERMINED TO MAKE DRAKE TAP OUT! DRAKE’S HAND RAISES UP HIGH TO THE AIR….
Eve: NO! DRAKE IS CLOSE TO TAPPING OUT, BUT HE REFUSES TO GIVE UP AND DECLARES, “I’M NOT DONE YET!” HE POUNDS HIS RIGHT FIST ON THE MAT, DETERMINED NOT TO SHOW ANY SIGNS OF SURRENDER. THIS IS A CLEAR INDICATION THAT HE’S STILL IN THE FIGHT AND READY TO TAKE ON THE CHALLENGE!
Deadprez: OH LOOK! DRAKE STARTS TO REGAIN HIS FOOTING AND MANAGES TO GET OGAWA OFF THE MAT, EVEN THOUGH OGAWA IS STILL LOCKING HIM UP WITH A TRIANGLE CHOKE. WITH A BURST OF STRENGTH, DRAKE DELIVERS AN ELEVATED POWERBOMB TO OGAWA, SENDING HIM CRASHING INTO THE CORNER! OGAWA WALKS SILLY OUT OF THE CORNER…. INTO A HUGE LARIAT TURNING OGAWA INSIDE OUT! WHAT A STRENGTH SHOWN OFF BY DRAKE ARMSTRONG!
Gavin Kirkland: Drake quickly slides down, a hook to Ogawa’s leg as he goes for a cover!

Gavin Kirkland: But Ogawa refuses to stay down, lifting his right shoulder off the mat and scowling at Drake’s reaction! Drake shakes his head in disbelief and takes out his frustration on the referee, grabbing him by the shirt collar. Hey! This behavior is unacceptable and the referee doesn’t deserve to be treated that way!
Drake Armstrong: (Off-Mic) WHY DON’T YOU COUNT FASTER?! DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM? I’M THE FUTURE! DRAKE ARMSTRONG! DID YOU HEAR WHAT I SAID??????
Referee: :woah:
Eve: Well that wasn’t really nice. Drake shoves the referee away and refocuses on Ogawa. As Drake starts to lift him up… OGAWA TAKES ADVANTAGE OF THE SITUATION AND PULLS DRAKE IN FOR A GEDO CLUTCH PINFALL ATTEMPT! COULD THIS BE IT? COULD OGAWA HAVE HIM? THE CROWD HOLDS ITS BREATH AS THE REFEREE STARTS COUNTING…

Deadprez: DRAKE KICKS OUT! DRAKE KICKS OUT! CLOSE BUT DRAKE MANAGES TO ESCAPE! Both men quickly recover and are back on their feet. Drake charges in, but Ogawa takes him by surprise with a headbutt. Drake retaliates with a Hammerfist to Ogawa’s face. Ogawa then attempts a Spinning Roundhouse kick, but Drake blocks it with a right elbow smash….
Deadprez: JUST AS DRAKE IS ABOUT TO DELIVER ANOTHER LARIAT, OGAWA CATCHES HIS ARM AND TAKES HIM DOWN WITH A HARAI-GOROSHI JUDO THROW!….
Deadprez: AND TO ADD INSULT TO INJURY, OGAWA LANDS A SUPERKICK TO THE BACK OF DRAKE’S HEAD!… OGAWA PULLS DRAKE BACK UP TO HIS FEET AND IMPRESSES THE CROWD WITH A HIGH-ANGLE BRIDGING DRAGON SUPLEX, PLANTING DRAKE FIRMLY ON THE GROUND. KOMATSU OGAWA IS SHOWING SOME INCREDIBLE COMBINATIONS HERE!
Eve: Ogawa shows restraint and doesn’t go for the pin yet. It appears he has a better plan to end the match, knowing that this is not the best way to finish off his opponent. Ogawa quickly goes down to the apron, behind the ropes, while Drake tries to regain his senses. It will be interesting to see what Ogawa has in store next….
Gavin Kirkland: JUST WHEN IT SEEMED LIKE OGAWA WAS IN CONTROL…. DRAKE SHOWS HIS RESILIENCE BY STOPPING OGAWA’S DIVE WITH A QUICK ASCENT TO THE SECOND ROPE. HE GRABS OGAWA, AND TAKES HIM DOWN WITH A POWERFUL VERTICAL SUPLEX…. AND IMMEDIATELY TRANSITIONS INTO A GUILLOTINE CHOKE. DRAKE IS NOW SEEKING HIS REVENGE, CHOKING OGAWA OUT IN A STUNNING TURN OF EVENTS! OGAWA IS TRAPPED! HE’S NOWHERE TO RUN!
Deadprez: I believe that Ogawa is about to tap out. Hold on a moment, his manager, Yoshiaki Tanaka, is back! Tanaka attempts to enter the ring, but the referee is attempting to prevent him. Drake quickly releases Ogawa and throws a right hook toward Tanaka!
Gavin Kirkland: Tanaka quickly jumps off the apron, indicating that he doesn’t want to engage in a fight with Drake. Drake intimidates him and then returns his attention to the ring…. TANAKA JUMPS BACK UP TO DISTRACT DRAKE. JUST AS DRAKE IS ABOUT TO TURN AROUND, OGAWA TAKES ADVANTAGE OF THE SITUATION AND STRIKES DRAKE WITH A LOW BLOW!

Gavin Kirkland: Drake turns his attention back to Ogawa- IT’S SCOTTIE! HE TAKES DOWN DRAKE WITH A RIGHT HAND AND IMMEDIATELY JUMPS ON OGAWA AND STARTS ATTACKING HIM!

Eve: The situation is chaos, as Scott continues his brutal attack on both men without a care in the world. The crowd is on their feet, cheering and loving every moment of Scott’s wild actions. No one knows what the future holds, but for now, they are entertained by Scott’s relentless assault!
( Scottie stands tall as he looks down at the two defeated competitors. The camera then cuts to the referee talking to Gina Romano, it appears that he is updating her on the outcome of the match. Gina nods as she starts grabbing a microphone to make an announcement. )
Gina Romano: Ladies and Gentlemen, due to Major Michael Scott’s interference in the match, laying out both men… the match is declared as having no winner!
Deadprez: Gina mentions that Scottie lays both opponents out at the same time, causing confusion on who should be declared the winner! Well, regardless, It’s been an electrifying match tonight, folks! And now we look ahead to what’s Scottie has for the future!
( The final shot shows Scottie gazing down at the two men he defeated, letting out a fierce roar that elicits a positive response from the spectators as the scene fades to a commercial break. )

(We cut to the back as Major Michael Scott Connor walked through the curtain still obviously fired up by what just happened in the ring. Many people try to get out of his way, but not Kyra Phillips, who as always is on the hunt for an exclusive interview. The Major seems to be almost begging for a fight as he storms through the corridors, but Kyra doesn’t let that deter her, and as he is about to pass, she steps in front of him. First shock, and then anger spreading on his face.)
Major Michael Scott Connor: Not the time Kyra
Kyra Phillips: I’d say this is exactly the right time considering what just happened.
Major Michael Scott Connor: You would, would you?
Kyra Phillips: If you don’t mind, I know the fans would love to know why you just attacked Drake Armstrong and Komatsu Ogawa.
Major Michael Scott Connor: Didn’t I make it obvious?
Kyra Phillips: Well, no… it seems so… out of character.
Major Michael Scott Connor: In that case, perhaps I better make it clearer, so that everyone understands me. Perfectly.
Kyra Phillips: Go ahead
(Kyra puts the microphone under his lips, and he stares directly into the camera.)
Major Michael Scott Connor: I was in the Corp! That statement alone should clarify the kind of man that I am. I have seen things that the likes of you couldn’t even imagine. Therefore, I cannot stand the mamby pamby stuff that I have been subjected to over the last few months, and I’ll be damned if I stand for it any longer.
(Kyra looks more than a little confused)
Kyra Phillips: Mamby Pamby?
Major Michael Scott Connor: Yes, yes… these fragile alliances and fake friendships that keep popping up, it makes me sick to my stomach. Do you think these people wouldn’t up and stab me in the back if I let them? I am a hard ass, I’ll admit that. I have fought my way through life with a mixture of discipline and honor, two things it seems that EAW and especially Showdown is severely lacking in and is making no moves to sort out. No matter, because the Major is here to do that for you, to bring both discipline and honor to this company and clear out the rabble. This needs to be done, so that you can all benefit. You’re lucky that I am here, mark my words. If these things were allowed to fester it wouldn’t be too long until you had no control, and no discipline, and I am not going to stand for that. My word is my honor, and thus, I ASSURE you that I know exactly what needs to be done. What happened out there moments ago is just the beginning. I know exactly how this ends.
Kyra Phillips: I’m sorry, but it sounds like something I have heard so many times.
Major Michael Scott Connor: So?
Kyra Phillips: I mean, so many people have tried, and failed to ‘clean up’ the company, it never works. I mean, only really Drake King tried the same thing and now vows to destroy EAW…

(The Major rudely cuts her off, Kyra’s expression showing she didn’t like the interruption very much.)
Major Michael Scott Connor: Then it doesn’t matter what has gone on before does it?
Kyra Phillips: But historically…
(The Major cuts her off again, this time Kyra is stunned.)
Major Michael Scott Connor: History means quite literally nothing, history is there to be rewritten, as it has so many times in the past. Think of figures throughout history that were told they couldn’t do something, and the many examples of their words coming to pass. Abraham Lincoln, Martin Luther King… both now having their names etched in history, as will I. The fact is Miss Phillips, you and all these people hanging on my every word right now do not have the first clue what I am capable of and what my training has given me over the years. I have acumen, I have strategy, I don’t think like a regular civilian. Everything, including my example currently picking themselves off the floor in that arena right now, is done with a person. And mark my words, you are going to witness a change in this company. A change that will embrace the attributes of my Corp at its core, a new regimented organization of which you can all be proud. Throughout my tenure in this company, I have listened with disbelief to the disrespect for not only me, but for the Corp who only work to serve you, and I’m sick it of it. Sick to the bones of me. (‘Soy’ by Santa Fe Klan hits as the crowd meets them with boos. Roberto De La Rosa with La Familia begin to walk down the entrance ramp, as Roberto enters the ring while the rest stay ringside. He poses in the middle of the ring as he awaits his opponent.)
Gina Romano: THIS MATCH IS SCHEDULED FOR ONE FALL WITH A THIRTY MINUTE TIME LIMIT, INTRODUCING FIRST, FROM HIDALGO, MEXICO— EL PADASTRO, ROBERTO DE LA ROSA!
(‘Ready to Die’ by the Notorious B.I.G. hits as the crowd begins to have mixed reactions. Some of them believe in Lucas, some of them do not. He doesn’t mind it as he walks down the ramp and enters the ring, not bothering to pose as he remains focused.)
Gina Romano: AND HIS OPPONENT, FROM LONG ISLAND NEW YORK, THE WRESTLING MACHINE, LUCAS JOHNSON!
DING! DING! DING!
Gavin Kirkland: Both Roberto and Lucas are eyeing each other down! Lucas is showing zero fear against one of Showdown’s most violent competitors, and yet, Roberto isn’t bothered by this either! They move in towards each other, and they engage in a collar-elbow tieup! Roberto is trying to push Lucas, but Lucas doesn’t budge! It doesn’t seem like he wants to let up either, and I don’t seem to blame him! Roberto pushes the arms off and they’re butting heads! It’s a battle of neck strength here!
Deadprez: Lucas’ is holding his own here, showing no movement from his end! Roberto is pushing on it hard, but Lucas is not moving! Lucas returns the favour, and Roberto is a bit staggered! What a display of strength from Lucas Johnson, as he takes a step back and allows Roberto to recollect himself! Both of these men are heavy hitters, and yet, they decide to grapple things out! Roberto tries to go for a double leg takedown, but Lucas manages to sprawl and get out of that situation! He goes around Roberto, and tries a waistlock!
Eve: To no avail! Roberto is holding onto the ropes to provide himself leverage, and so he uses his back strength to force Lucas off him! Lucas gets off, and he tries to go for a waistlock again, but manages to pull Roberto so hard off the ropes that they literally vibrate like a guitar string! Lucas lifts him over his head into a German Suplex! Roberto manages to protect his head, and Lucas goes for yet another one! Lucas finds some trouble here, though!
Gavin Kirkland: Roberto is toughing it out! He’s holding his bodyweight in place, just enough for Lucas to have a hard time! He has his feet spread apart so it’s much harder to lift him, and he leans slightly back! Damn, brudda. This is something. Lucas switches to his legs, and he uses the separation to push it back and go for a leg lock, but Roberto rolls over and he makes it harder for Lucas to grab ahold of him! Roberto looks at him and he mocks the Wrestling Machine!
Deadprez: Lucas keeps a stoic demeanour, though! Roberto is just pushing on here, and he tries to stand up, but he’s met with a double leg takedown from Lucas Johnson! Lucas Johnson manages to take him down and he’s on top of him! He’s applying a scarf hold here, looking to make Roberto tap out or pin him just enough! Roberto pushes Lucas off him, though, and he’s met with a reeling elbow to the nose! Roberto takes that shot, and he gives one of his own back! They’re literally trading blows right now, only a matter of time before one of them decides to give in!
Eve: Lucas retaliates with a headbutt! Headbutt staggers Roberto, as he jumps up and sends his knee into Lucas’ face! That doesn’t seem to do much though, as Lucas lifts his body up and sits upright! Roberto is shocked, but Lucas takes this time to grab ahold of him, and slam him onto the mat for a Front Takedown! Lucas has him on the ground, and he’s trying to go for a submission win! He’s attempting to push for an armbar! Will it work? No! Roberto has the hands gripped together!
Gavin Kirkland: And Roberto rolls over! He’s lifting Lucas up, but Lucas manages to transition it into an omoplata, breaking his grip! He’s wrenching that arm back, and he wraps his hands around Roberto’s face for a crossface omoplata! Dude, what a match this has been so far, and we’re only just getting started! Roberto and Lucas are putting on quite the show here, and whether or not this will continue to be a technical, hard hitting and gritty match remains to be seen! Roberto and Lucas are engaging in true, hard hitting combat here, and this might prove to be one of their toughest fights yet!
Deadprez: Lucas is keeping that arm wrenched back, as Roberto is trying to reach for the ropes! He’s managing to inch himself closer, and he does! He grabs ahold of the rope, and Lucas has to release! Lucas has tired himself out from constantly grabbing hold and grappling, and Roberto is taking this time to catch his breath! Maybe this will change the tide? Has Lucas used up too much energy this early on in the match? Lucas and Roberto are trying to stand up, but Roberto manages to do so first! He sees Lucas standing up, and he’s going for chop after chop!
Eve: Those chops sound like gunshots, and this is not good for Lucas at all! Roberto attempts to outbox him, managing to land several heavy closed fist shots to the body! He aims for the head, and he strikes it several times! Lucas is staggered back, and Roberto grabs ahold of him before slamming him with a Side Suplex! He takes Lucas out, and he’s continuing the attack! He still keeps him standing, but Lucas sends elbows to try and free himself! Will he be successful in this attempt to do so?
Gavin Kirkland: And he does! He manages to free himself! Lucas drives Roberto away from him, and he rebounds off the ropes! Can he take out Roberto with a running dropkick? No! Roberto catches him halfway and he throws him over his head for a Belly to Back Suplex! Not good for Lucas at all! Lucas is undoubtedly skilled, but Roberto has insane levels of power here! Roberto is using his strength to keep Lucas down, and it’s only a matter of time before this plan may succeed! He places his chest right on Lucas’, and he’s trying to stop his breathing here! However, the Wrestling Machine shoves him right off and he rolls on his back!
Deadprez: Lucas and Roberto are both in a sticky situation right now! They can’t seem to either outsmart or outwrestle the other person, and they’re considering just going blow for blow! It seems like they’re chatting in the ring, and they decide to just fight it out! Roberto accepts the challenge, and he rushes in like a bull! He’s giving Lucas a hard time, using his strength to unleash and rain down punches on Lucas, but Lucas fights on the inside with palm strikes and kicks! Roberto is down to a knee, and Lucas knows he has to seize this opportunity while it presents itself! Lucas kicks him in the chest a few times, and he drives a knee to Roberto’s head, NO! Roberto leaps up and catches him with a CLOTHESLINE FROM HELL!
Eve: That just took Lucas out, hard! Lucas is down to a knee now, and Roberto has him right where he wants him! Could this be the end of the match right here? Perhaps Roberto might be able to ruin his chances of Lucas potentially redeeming himself from all the missed chances he had in his career! Roberto drives his knee into Lucas’ head, and he just lies there, dropped down! He’s not done yet, though, as Roberto wants to apply a hold of his own! He strangles the life out of Lucas, and he’s proceeding to a mount!
Gavin Kirkland: And now it’s Roberto unleashing all sorts of hell on Lucas Johnson! He’s putting him down with mounted punch after mounted punch, and so far, this has been all Roberto in the middle part of this match! Lucas is still fighting, though, and he manages to drive his palm into Roberto’s chin, staggering him back! Lucas gets on a knee, and as Roberto comes in, Lucas catches him with a roundhouse kick! The roundhouse kick makes Roberto regret it! Roberto staggers into the turnbuckles, and Lucas rebounds off the opposite one into a massive clothesline to the cornered De La Rosa!
Deadprez: The La Familia is looking on as Lucas regains momentum, but De La Rosa hasn’t given them any instructions just yet! Lucas whips him into the other turnbuckle, and he rebounds off another one for a European Uppercut! De La Rosa is still standing, but he’s winded! Lucas uses the ropes to strike him with an Enzuigiri, then leaps off the rope for a running bulldog! Man, De La Rosa is out of it! Lucas pulls him to the middle of the ring! He might try to go for a cover here! Can Lucas get the pin? He has the shoulders down and the referee begins the count!

Eve: NO! DE LA ROSA KICKS OUT AND LA FAMILIA LETS OUT A SIGH OF RELIEF! Lucas Johnson is clearly disappointed, and La Familia is just mouthing off at him! He doesn’t pay attention to any of it though, clearly focused on his goal! He wraps Roberto’s arm around his head and lifts him up for a suplex! He rotates over and he latches on a Front Choke! Roberto just woke up in the middle of it, and he’s trying heavy palm strikes to get out! Roberto manages to free himself, and he catches Lucas with a Big Boot! Lucas staggers back, and he responds with an elbow! Roberto staggers again, and he sends a side kick into Lucas’ belly!
Gavin Kirkland: Dude, what is going on? These men have chins of steel, and its showing! Lucas leans forward, as Roberto comes in from the top rope with a leg drop to the back of the head! Roberto catches him, but he wants to make him pay even more! Lucas is made to stand, as Roberto hits him with the El Pegue De Mezcal! The El Pegue De Mezcal connects, as Roberto manages to hit Lucas with a double chop to the throat, bringing him down for a rolling cutter! Roberto rolls him over, and he’s going for the cover! Can he end the match right here?

Now, Roberto wants to take this fight away! He wants to make Lucas pay and end it right here! Roberto latches onto him, and he wraps his arms around his neck for a rear naked choke! Lucas is shocked by this, and he’s trying to take deep breaths in to maintain his composure! Roberto shakes his head around to make this more difficult, but Lucas is determined! Roberto wants to put him away for good, but it’s proving to be a bit more difficult than expected! He stands up, but Lucas grabs ahold of the wrist and wrenches it down! He pulls him over his head for a Judo Throw! Lucas has an opportunity here! Can he capitalize?
Eve: It will be interesting to see if he could win here! Lucas gets on the top rope, and he’s clear! He is clear for takeoff, and he leaps off into a Red Arrow! The Red Arrow takes Roberto by surprise and he couldn’t protect himself in time! Lucas has him covered again, and this time, can he put Roberto out?

Roberto manages to rake the eyes of Lucas Johnson, and he’s blinded temporarily! He stands up, and he turns Lucas around for the TALON DE AGUILA! NO! Lucas manages to sidestep it and he makes him kiss the mat! Roberto manages to break his fall, however!
Deadprez: Roberto uses his foot to kick Lucas Johnson back, and he takes this time to stand up and catches Lucas off guard with a SPEAR! THE TALON DE AGUILA CONNECTS THIS TIME AROUND, AND YOU COULD SEE LUCAS JUST GET SENT INTO THE ROPES! Roberto takes advantage of this as he pushes into him, sending Lucas to the outside! Lucas is on the outside now, and perhaps this could be it right here! Roberto sends Lucas crashing and burning, as Diego catches him with a right hook! Lucas was sent staggering back, as Roberto gets on the top rope!
Eve: Oh no. This is not gonna end well for either of them if he’s thinking what I’m thinking! Diego manages to hold Lucas down just enough, as the referee is distracted yet again by Esmerelda! This is the second time in this match so far, and this in itself is looking to prove a disadvantage for Lucas! He’s jumping off, and he leaps off as he hits him with a Swanton Bomb! Roberto sent his body into Lucas’ and tosses him back inside the ring! Now, he’s looking for the cover! He wants to put Lucas away here! Can he do so with so much pressure piling up?

Gavin Kirkland: NO! LUCAS KICKS OUT YET AGAIN! ROBERTO IS SHOCKED! La Familia is circling the ring and waiting for any chance to help out De La Rosa, but this is starting to prove a much bigger challenge than they thought! Lucas is here to fight, and he has made that clear from the start of this match! Roberto tries to keep him down with stomps to the face, but Lucas grabs ahold of the foot and he turns around for a leglock! The leg lock is well locked in, and he manages to send Roberto into a painful position! Not good for El Padastro here, not in the least bit! Lucas is trying to make him tap out, and they are nowhere near the ropes! The referee is checking on Roberto, but Esmerelda looks at him! Roberto is visibly making himself push past his limits, and he manages to grab onto the rope with Esmerelda pushing it slightly!
Deadprez: The referee, in the heat of the moment, couldn’t see it as well! Lucas has to let go, and Roberto holds his knee in pain! Lucas stomps on it, and Roberto has to catch his breath! Lucas is also fairly winded, and in terms of energy, I’d say this match has been pretty even thus far! Roberto manages to stand up, and he’s rushing in for another TALON DE AGUILA— NO! LUCAS CATCHES HIM WITH AN RKO! THE BLUEPRINT CONNECTS! LUCAS PUTS HIM DOWN, AND ROBERTO IS VISIBLY OUT OF IT! Lucas sees this as an opportunity to go for the cover! Can he do so? No!
Eve: Roberto manages to roll out of the ring, and into the assistance of La Familia! Esmerelda is helping him out from the outside, and Lucas is getting a little bit impatient! He rebounds off the ropes, and he sends himself flying into La Familia, causing Esmerelda to hit a barricade! Lucas looks down on her! He didn’t mean for her to get hurt, but he has to pay the price for it anyways! That was not a very good decision in the least bit!
Gavin Kirkland: Lucas turns around, but not for long! Roberto chucks his head into the ringpost, causing himself to stagger back and almost fall, but Roberto catches him just enough to lift him up and slam him down onto the apron with a side slam! Lucas just rolls down with his body limp, as he’s thrown back inside the ring! Lucas might’ve written his own downfall in the stars here! Roberto picks him up in the middle of the ring, as he puts him into a piledriver position—

Lucas Johnson rolls out and is tended to by medical, as Roberto looks into the camera with nothing but rage in his eyes. They walk out of the arena to a million boos, making the crowd absolutely hate them as the scene cuts to the backstage area.)
(As the scene fades Backstage, we see Holly Arrow and Harper Lee, members of the new tag team known as Potara walking down the hallway. They are not in the best of moods. Harper lost the triple threat; she took the pinfall that saw Voltage’s Sheridan Muller win. Holly Arrow made it to the finals in the Empress of Elite tournament only to come short against Serenity Valdez. The two ladies have a lot of plans and this was the first of many that did go awry, but that doesn’t mean that they cannot have more in the works. Holly and Harper are a bit dejected, though they have each other. It had been a tough week for both women who wanted to not only come out victorious, but it was the chance for Harper to get back into contention while at the same time, Holly Arrow would have the guaranteed shot as Empress. Neither fell in their way so they needed to now focus on what was next.)
Harper Lee: So, what is next?
(She asks with some doubt.)
Holly Arrow: There is a lot to do Harper, but right now, we took a bit of a blow. I’m not the Empress of Elite, you didn’t come out with a win and pretty much a chance to regain the Universal Women’s Championship. I mean, at this point, we need to just refocus all of out attention on what we can do to control our own destinies.
(That sounded like a pretty good idea as Harper wanted a rematch to regain the Universal Women’s Championship, and Holly was looking for her first gold in the EAW,. But there were other options as well, one of them in particular involved both of them, that being the formation of Potara and a run at the Unified Tag Team Championships and with the filed getting hot right now and more tag teams are emerging, this was the perfect time for both women to take advantage of it.)
Harper Lee: Holly, I’m going to be blunt here even though I spent quite a lot of my last year as a Champion, but when you get the gold around your waist, you don’t want to let it go. I was the Specialist Champion for quite a bit and then became the Universal Women’s Champion which was my pinnacle. I can’t and won’t forget the feeling I had as champion and honestly, I want you to feel it too. After I lost the title, I felt this pressure and it was awful. Going into this state of void, I mean, you saw it, everyone did. Losing never affected me like that before.
(Holly Arrow listening to Harper Lee realized that she had a lot more in common than originally thought. She too felt that way after King of Elite, but the frustrations were real and almost capable of debilitating her but Holly places her arm around the shoulder of Harper.)
Holly Arrow: I know exactly how you feel, partner. Not going to lie, after losing to Serenity it brought a new perspective to me and truth be told, all I want now is to win gold and prove to everyone that I can and will succeed as both singles and a tag team. Look at The Prescription, they did it right, focused on their tag team and singles careers simultaneously and we will do the same. We have a chance here to make something big and special, to really hammer home on what we want to do as both Harper and Holly….. AND Potara. I….
(But before Holly could finish her sentence, they run into none other than Heidi Huxley standing by the door of the General Manager’s office listening to their entire conversation. Both Holly and Harper stop for a second as Heidi smiles.)
Heidi Huxley: You two are cute and needless to say Kennedy Street is not happy with either one of your performances. It is no secret that Kennedy wants not only the Empress of Elite crown, but also the Universal Women’s Championship. Both of you had a chance to get one or the other. You failed and now our boss isn’t very happy, luckily for you two, Kennedy sees the talent and the potential. There is a way that you two can still bring back to Showdown the gold that we yearn for, and that Kennedy wants to continue proving we are the best brand. See, Ryan Wilson and Xander Payne are going to face Soul Food Sunday. They are going to bring the Unified Tag Team Championships to the Blue Brand.
(Holly and Harper though both look quite annoyed at all of this, all while trying to digest everything that Heidi Huxley has been telling them. Harper though had enough.)
Harper Lee: Yes, we were not successful at King of Elite, but that doesn’t mean that we cannot get the job done. Kennedy has this thing about knowing talent, well she isn’t exactly being very bright about it. Empress of Elite crown or not, Holly is a champion and I have already proven it, but if this is what Kennedy wants, then fine, we have already started that the focus is on the future for both of us and Potara on ALL levels.
Holly Arrow: Let me put it to you this way, Heidi. What happened at King of Elite was just the small little obstacle that we will overcome. In other words, you can tell Kennedy that the next time we get a chance at gold, we are going to take it. In other words, tell her to calm down, because the FUTURE is POTARA.
(Heidi nods while smiling.)
Heidi Huxley: That’s good, that is really good because she’s going to make sure you two live up to that and see just how good Potara is. I hope you are ready.
Harper Lee: We always are.
(Heidi doesn’t say another word and walks off leaving Holly and Harper looking at one another a bit perplexed but not surprised. Holly smirks while Harper just shakes her head as the camera transitions back to ringside and Gina Romano.)
Gina Romano: Ladies and Gentlemen, the following contest has a twenty-minute time limit, and is scheduled FOR!
Crowd: ONE FALL!!
( ‘Superhero (Heroes and Villains)’ by Metro Boomin, Future, and Chris Brown is heard to a thunderous negative reception from the audience as Harley Lewis makes his presence felt, before not wasting any time and quickly making his way down to the ring.)
Gina Romano: INTRODUCING FIRST! From Manchester, England! Weighing in at 196 pounds: He is The Crown Prince of Crime: HAAAAARLEEEEEY LEEEEEWIIIIIIS!!!
Deadprez: We haven’t seen this man since he won in convincing fashion against his former partner Komatsu Ogawa a week prior to King of Elite. He looks as unhinged as ever!
Gavin Kirkland: Is the two-week break did his mind any good and allowed him to be less insane? We’ll see, but tonight he is looking to gain a second win in a row and Lexi isn’t going to be the type to give it to him. At least not without a fight. Harley has a chance to showcase his talent tonight before this capacity Anchorage crowd!
( “Mr. Brightside” by The Killers plays over the speakers of the place while the rebellious one makes her way to the ring with a look of confidence though not happy. )
Gina Romano: AAAAAAAND HIS OPPONENT!! From Detroit, Michigan! Weighing in at 117 pounds. She is The Motor City Machine Gun: LEXIIIIIII!!!
Deadprez: Lexi came into King of Elite with a full load of steam heading into what was an incredible opportunity for her to win her first EAW career championship!
Gavin Kirkland: She had a great match against a talented Specialist Champion in ARIA and she showed us all how much she wanted it, but the defending Champion was too much for her. If she keeps working like she’s been doing lately for sure she will be granted more opportunities. Tonight is a chance for her to show us that the loss didn’t phase her.
( Ding! Ding! Ding! )
Deadprez: AND HERE WE GO! This match is officially underway! Both opponents are moving to meet one another at the center of the ring. Harley is smiling that unhinged smile ear to ear with his head cocked to the side as Lexi looks at him a bit weirded out. He … He’s laughing!
Harley Lewis: May the best wrestler… Win!
Gavin Kirkland: He’s extending a hand to Lexi with a mischievous grin on his face and Lexi is getting weary. She looks at his hand, blinks then smacks it away! Wait something fell off Lewis’ hand. No way … Was he trying to pull the buzz gag on her??
Eve: Taken straight from a certain DC character, it seems.
Deadprez: Harley doesn’t seem too happy about his idea being foiled so easily. He ends up chuckling before pointing at his face.
Harley Lewis: Come on Lexi I want you to hit me. Do it… Hit me… HIT ME!!!!
Gavin Kirkland: AND SHE GOES!! A hard European Uppercut square on the jaw of Lewis who takes it, bends backward but then up straight and smiles BECAUSE LUNGING AT LEXI!!! She dodges it just in time as he makes his way to a corner SHE RUNS TO HIM WITH A CLOTHESLINE!
Eve: She grabs him by the head, spinning him around, and bashes his head repeatedly against the top turnbuckle! The fans are counting!
ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! FIVE! SIX! SEVEN! EIGHT! NINE!
Harley Lewis: HAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHHAAH!!!
Eve: What the heck…
Deadprez: How can he be laughing while having his head smacking that turnbuckle? If anyone still doubts this man’s sanity well there shouldn’t be any reasons to think otherwise now.
Gavin Kirkland: He creeps me out I’ll tell you that right now and Lexi is slowly backing away from the man as the official is asking them to get back in this fight!
Eve: Both are reaching each other in the center of the ring in a lock-up won by Harley who turns it into a quick headlock but Lexi slips out of it moving behind him into a waist lock. Lewis snakes around her before pushing her against the ropes! She hangs on but he rolls backward and then lands on his knees.
Gavin Kirkland: Lexi goes for a high running knee ducked ala Matrix by Lewis who then hits the deck as Lexi bounces off the ropes going his way once again. He gets up, and hopscotch over Lexi before turning and trying for a leg sweep jumped over by his opponent who sends a roundhouse kick that misses as well, and then both opponents suddenly stop in a battle stance facing each other.
Eve: Interesting start of this battle between these two as they begin circling one another. Harley still what that nervous smile but Lexi’s not impressed as they both go into a clinch once more. This time Lexi gains the upper hand with a tight-looking headlock. Lewis tries to get free of it and moves to get Lexi into the ropes again but she drops to the floor sending Lewis to the outside!
Deadprez: Lexi doesn’t waste any time running to the ropes COLLIDING WITH HARLEY WITH A SUICIDE DIVE WHICH LEWIS REVERSES INTO A TORNADO DDT!!! LEXI GETS PLANTED HEAD-FIRST ON THE OUTSIDE MAT!!
Gavin Kirkland: The crowd doesn’t support this reversal move that might turn the tide in favor of the Crown Prince of Crime. Lewis circles around Lexi chuckling before throwing a few kicks to her chest and ribs as she tries to get up. Meanwhile, the official is ordering him to bring the action back inside the ring.
Eve: He obliges by whipping Lexi against the apron and CLOTHESLINE HER before rolling her under the bottom rope.
Deadprez: Harley taunts Harley to get up, smacking her behind the head before grabbing her by the hair and whipping her against a corner harshly. He hops on the second rope, and begins to throw punches atop Lexi’s head! BUT AFTER ABOUT FIVE STRIKES LEXI GRABS AT LEWIS AND HOISTS HIM INTO A POWERBOMB POSITION!!
Gavin Kirkland: SHE DROPS HIM!! LEWIS GOT BOMBED BY LEXI!! SHE TRIES FOR A COVER BUT HE KICKS OUT AFTER ONE!
Eve: That was a good move from Lexi to counter the assault from Harley who’s showing us just how crazy he is. Makes you wonder what was his One Bad Day really.
Gavin Kirkland: You just made a Killing Joke reference didn’t you?
Eve: You need to read comic books more.
Gavin Kirkland: I prefer Marvel over DC and I don’t say this because we are owned by Disney.
Eve: You sure?
Gavin Kirkland: Of course, I’m saying this because we are owned by Disney. Did you see the state of the DCEU? Embarrassing.
Deadprez: Meanwhile inside the ring Lexi is attempting to gain the upper hand in this match but Lewis despite having suffered a powerbomb not long ago manages to fend her off. Lewis tries to gain the upper hand in the match by blocking a kick from Lexi holding it! She’s on one foot hopping she flips trying to end it by landing on her feet BUT HARLEY SUPERKICKS HER IN MID AIR!!
Gavin Kirkland: WHAT A MOVE from Lewis who then waits for Lexi to move to her knees before clotheslining her to the ground! He attempts a cover but he’s shoved away almost right after he hooked a leg. Lexi moves to a vertical position, throwing a forearm for a clothesline but Lewis ducks and throws one of his own!
Eve: Lexi blocks, throwing a punch that lands and Lewis throws one right back! She throws another one and he retaliates right after SHE FOLLOWS WITH A EUROPEAN UPPERCUT making him stagger into the ropes AND HE BOUNCES AT HER WITH FORCE WITH A HARD SHOULDER TACKLE! Lexi to her knees and Lewis with a grip on her hair from the back of her head forces her to look up at him. He looks down at her with disdain through that maniacal smile.
Harley Lewis: I wish I had a crowbar right now…
Eve: Lexi’s eyes went wide in fear but suddenly in anger, SHE HEADBUTTS HIM FOLLOWED BY A QUICK YET POWERFUL EVEN FLOW DDT AS SHE SCREAMS!!!
Deadprez: Lewis did what could be a fatal mistake here causing Lewis to remember the darkest time in her EAW Career when she was left for dead after a brutal crowbar attack by Ronan Malosi.
Lexi: I’ll make you PAY for this you PRICK!
Deadprez: Lexi is on the offensive now with a series of fists followed by some elbows then somebody shows and then takes Harley to a knee with some shoot kicks! A BACKSPIN KICK TAKES HIM ON HIS BACK WITH LEXI WITH THE ASCENDENCY!!! Lewis is moving to his feet and Lexi takes him down with a leg sweep followed by a quick rolling elbow drop! Lexi is then atop Lewis throwing down hard punches before getting away and to the ropes.
Gavin Kirkland: Harley to his feet now but now for long as he gets kicked in the knee bringing him down again. Lexi to the ropes hops over him AND SLAMS LEWIS DOWN WITH A SUNSET FLIP POWERBOMB!!!
Eve: SHE HOOKS THE LEGS!!

Deadprez: Close one from Lexi who’s sending a message to her unhinged opponent. Lexi gets to her feet, and Harley follows suit a bit behind. He turns to face her but she suddenly drops AND SMACKS HIM IN THE MOUTH! Lewis doesn’t seem too happy about it as he looks angry BUT LEXI TOOK ADVANTAGE OF THAT ANGER BY MOVING BEHIND HIM AND DRAG HIM DOWN WITH A BACKSTABBER!!!
Gavin Kirkland: Harley is holding his back in pain and Lexi’s already up to her feet much to the enjoyment of the capacity Anchorage crowd who are cheering her on! Already she moves to the nearest corner, hoping on the second rope and then on the top of the turnbuckle. What will she do as she is perched up watching down Lewis like Batman on an unsuspecting criminal? CROSSBODY DROP!!! IT LANDS ON LEWIS JUST AS HE TURNED TO TRY AND GET EYE CONTACT WITH LEXI!!
Eve: Smart play by Lexi it paid off as she moves to a vertical position once again Lewis does as well but he takes a bit longer to do it. Lewis is looking for a break and rolls to the outside of the ring now BUT LEXI DROPS RIGHT ATOP OF HIM WITH A SUICIDE DIVE!!! HE DIDN’T EVEN HAVE THE TIME TO TURN AROUND!!
Deadprez: She lands on her feet and moves a few steps away from Lewis who is looking to get back to his feet. Lexi hops on the apron looking down on Lewis AND NAILS HIM WITH A RUNNING KNEE FROM THE APRON TO HIS FACE! DOWN HE GOES AND THE CROWD WANTS MORE!
Gavin Kirkland: The official is already warning Lexi to bring the action back inside the ring but she doesn’t listen as she Irish whips Harley against the barricade near the timekeeper’s table. She then begins to stomp a mudhole at him and walk it dry against the barricade before grabbing Lewis by the head and whipping him back inside the ring.
Eve: Good string of offense by Lexi right now as she throws a few elbows to Lewis and then whips him to the ropes, a knee to the gut sends him flipping and landing on his back. She goes for a knee drop but he rolls away. He tries to swing at her viciously but she ducks and ends up behind him, LIFTING HIM UP AND TAKING HIM DOWN WITH AN ATOMIC DROP!
Deadprez: Lewis is stunned AND THEN SHOVED INTO THE ROPES WITH A DROPKICK TO THE BACK BY LEXI! Harley hands from the second rope and Lexi goes to the opposite one and JUMPS ON TOP OF HARLEY’S BACK BOUNCING THE ROPE FOR SOME EXTRA DAMAGE!
Gavin Kirkland: Lexi prowls right behind Lewis who’s trying to get back to a vertical base, his back turned to her SHE SLAMS HIS HEAD TO THE MAT WITH A RUNNING BULLDOG! DOWN GOES LEWIS WHO TRIES TO GET BACK UP AND HE GETS POUNCED ON BY A LEXI THAT WAS USING THE ROPES TO GAIN MOMENTUM!
Eve: LOU THESZ PRESS BY LEXI WHO’S PUMMELING HARLEY WITH MAD PUNCHES! STRIKES AFTER STRIKE BEFORE MOVING AWAY FROM HIM, GOING TO THE ROPES, AND DROPPING AN ELBOW TO HIS FACE! THE CROWD LOVES IT!
Lexi: WHY SO SERIOUS NOW YOU STUPID BASTARD????
Deadprez: The crowd is enticing her to continue as she really seems to be on fire following that one comment from Lewis. That oughta be a lesson to him, as I wonder if he even knew about Lexi enough to know it might trigger her to talk about a crowbar.
Gavin Kirkland: Regardless, this is bringing out the best in Lexi because she’s really giving Harley a hard time through her moves, and she continues with a stiff yet perfectly executed snap suplex! She keeps her hold on Harley, moving to hold his head into a lock, and gives him a series of overhead punches. The official disapproves but Lexi quickly switches things up with a knee to Harley’s midsection FOLLOWED BY A DOUBLE UNDERHOOK DDT!!!
Eve: Lexi considers going for a cover BUT SHE GOES FOR A CROSSFACE!!!! LEXI IS PULLING BACK AS HARD AS SHE CAN BUT HARLEY IS CRAWLING TO THE ROPES SLOWLY YET IT LOOKS EXCRUCIATINGLY PAINFUL! HE SAVES HIMSELF WITH A HAND BARELY HANGING ON!!! The official orders Lexi to stop!

Gavin Kirkland: Through the commercial break, Harley took command of the match and has been tearing into Lexi! Right now he’s throwing some harsh jabs at her followed by some crosses! She’s staggering on her feet following some mean right hooks and a sudden leg sweep bringing her down!
Eve: Lexi is looking to get back to a vertical base and she’s to her knees now BUT IS SMASHED THROUGH WITH A STIFF FLYING KNEE TO HER FACE!! She retreats to a corner and Harley is hot behind her throwing an elbow to the back of her head before returning the favor from earlier and smashing her face against the turnbuckle only he doesn’t stop at ten and the crowd boos at his harsh he is!
Deadprez: The official orders Lewis to back away and he does just before he gets disqualified BUT HE GOES RIGHT BACK TO LEXI WITH AN EUROPEAN UPPERCUT FOLLOWED BY A SERIES OF KICKS AGAINST THE CORNER STOMPING A MUDHOLE AT LEXI AND WALKING IT DRY!
Gavin Kirkland: Harley has an evil smirk on his lips as he moves Lexi into a full nelson position followed by a powerful-looking tiger suplex that sends Lexi to the ground! Harley with a kip up to his feet waiting for Lexi to get up BEFORE JUMPING TO THE ROPES FOR A SPRINGBOARD FAMOUSER!!
Eve: Lexi is on her stomach her face showing pain AND HARLEY IS MOVING TO HER LEG AND TWISTS ONE INTO AN ANKLE LOCK!!! IT’S TIGHTLY IN AND LEXI HAS SOME PACES TO GO BEFORE MAKING IT TO THE ROPES!! SHE’S STRUGGLING AND TRYING TO MAKE IT TO THE ROPES! WILL SHE? SHE’S ABOUT TO TAP! SHE GRABS ONTO THE ROPES!!!
Gavin Kirkland: A show of resiliency by Lexi as she is under attack by a sadistic-looking Harley Lewis! Her ankle is now free as Harley creates separation between him and her AND SHE GETS NAILED WITH A JUMPING SPINNING KICK AS SHE GETS TO HER FEET!! AND QUICKLY THEN SHE’S BEING PUT INTO THE STRETCH MUFFLER!!! Another submission maneuver to Lexi as Lewis is clearly looking to put the hurt on his opponent! But she’s close enough to the ropes to grab on and so Harley has to let go of her.
Eve: He does but he quickly goes to the next move which is a rear naked choke! He’s got it locked in tightly and Lex’s limbs are flailing hard! Is she going to tap from this maneuver? The referee is looking on paying attention to her arms especially her hands in case she taps BUT LEWIS SHIFTS HIS ARMS AND THROWS HER OVER HIS HEAD IN AN EXPLODER SUPLEX!!!
Deadprez: He STILL has that evil smile on his face he’s proud of the move he just pulled as Lexi is holding the back of her neck in pain. Lewis skips over to her, throws a few kicks her way before grabbing onto her hair forcing her up, AND HOISTS HER INTO A PUMPHANDLE POSITION! SHE GETS THROUGH THE SUPLEX AND HE FOLLOWS WITH A COVER!!

Deadprez: LEXI Survives!! She kicked out!
Gavin Kirkland: Lewis sighs as if this was nothing and moves to his feet. Lexi follows suit brought up by her opponent who grabs her by and takes her down with a swinging neck breaker!
Eve: He helps Lexi up to her feet, she’s staggering AND GETS KNIFE EDGED CHOPPED BY LEWIS!
Crowd: WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
Eve: She gets chopped into a corner. Those hits are harsh. They will leave welts clearly. Lewis is looking to hurt Lexi tonight! FOREARM SMASH to Lexi’s face keeps her docile in that corner before she gets a spinning back elbow to the side of the face! She crumbles, sitting in the corner before being brought back to her feet AND SUFFERS A SPINNING BACK FIST!
Deadprez: Lexi drops to her hands and knees AND GOES FACE FIRST INTO THE MAT FOLLOWING LEWIS’ RUNNING BULLDOG!!
Gavin Kirkland: Harley now looking for a Penalty Kick, he wants to punt Lexi’s head into next week! Maybe he’s in a Super Bowl mood since it’s happening tomorrow night on Sunday! He goes for it BUT LEXI DODGES AND GOES FOR A SURPRISE ROLL-UP!! A DESPERATION MOVE FROM LEXI!!

Eve: Lexi is getting ready for her patented Superkick Lights out! She’s stomping with her lead foot while Harley is about to turn to face her. She goes for it! HE DUCKS!!!

Gina Romano: Ladies and gentlemen the winner of this match: HARLEY LEWIIIIIIISSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!
Gavin Kirkland: What a match between these two competitors! Lexi gave it a great effort and at some point, it looked like she was going to win especially after she got riled up with that one comment from Lewis but unfortunately the man managed to kick things into high gear and ended up tonight’s winner. Valiant effort by Lexi though. She’ll bounce back.
Deadprez: Lexis started off great, but Harley finished stronger. The man is unhinged and clearly lost a few marbles but if he’s able to continue to pile up victories like this he may end up with a golden opportunity later down the road.
Eve: Congratulations to Harley on ton… Wait, who’s that standing on the ramp? It’s Ashlynn Quinn! What is she doing here?
( We in fact see Ashlynn Quinn stand on the stage looking on but she ends up rolling her eyes and leaves before the final shot of Harley Lewis celebrating and then the scene fades to a commercial break)
( As it fades back from the break, “7 Rings” by Ariana Grande begins to stir throughout the Sullivan Arena, bringing the festivities and fun to a standstill. Veena Adams is here, the new National Elite champion! In spite of the gold draping her skinny waist, the reaction we’re accustomed to hearing Veena receive hasn’t changed whatsoever. The Alaskan people are booing literal wrestling royalty here, how disgusting of them! Veena doesn’t seem all too phased, mind. She rolls her eyes and takes the time to lift the National Elite Championship up high, posing and rocking hips from left-to-right as the boos and jeers only grow louder. Veena begins to descend the entrance ramp and with it we cut to the commentary booth. What does the gang have in store for us this time? )
Deadprez: This isn’t going to earn me many favors with the Alaskan people, but I’m proud of what Veena was able to accomplish at King of Elite. She and Donovan had a great showing and a woman I’ve seen grow for so many years now, she was able to get it done! Not only her first title here in Elite Answers Wrestling, but dethroning the longest reigning National Elite champion of all time. Look, you can say what you like about Veena— her familial connections, the attitude and swagger she brings to the ring. But to beat Donovan Duke you need to have something about you and at King of Elite? Veena showed just how far she’s come as a wrestler!
Eve: What a reign it was for Donovan Duke, it’s one for the history books but now we have a new champion to focus on. What a great couple of days it was for the Adams family in Vancouver. Veena has given plenty of reasons to dislike her in recent memory, especially with some of the underhanded tactics used in recent months due to her cozy relationship with Kennedy Street. But I’m with you, Deadprez, it was somewhat wholesome. Donovan Duke did a lot of tremendous work for the belt currently being hoisted into the air by Veena as she makes her way down to the ring, Gavin, what do you think about Veena’s triumph?
Gavin Kirkland: Sorry Eve, did you say something? I was just appreciating my life and the fact that I’m so close to perfection! Veena is dressed to the nines here, with every twist of those hips or a flicker of her leg and the bling adorning her outfit blinds me! You could take a fashion tip or two from wrestling’s princess, Eve, maybe people would start giving you a second glance! Veena had a long, dry, barren spell without success. But at King of Elite, she literally punched-and-kicked her way to success and now? She’s going to elevate the title even further!
( Veena is indeed the dictionary definition of glamor here tonight. Jewelry adorns her neck, hands and ankles, while a suave coat— what, is that mink?! Maybe a little overkill. But Veena doesn’t seem to mind, she’s pretty nonchalant about things now she’s completed professional wrestling. Veena gets into the ring and gestures for a microphone from a ringside attendant. Once her request is granted, she waits for the audience to simmer down, bringing the sound device to her lips and starting to address the nation in the seconds after. )
Veena Adams: Okay, okay.. Seriously, shush. I need to talk! You guys, you have no respect for me. But what you don’t understand is that I’ve been in this company a long, long time. You see me as some silver-spooned bimbo-playing-wrestler, but you’ve never taken the time to appreciate my upbringing, how I was practically bred to be a star in this business. I’m not just talking about who my uncle is, I mean obviously it’s a big factor. But I bet I’ve spent more time in a wrestling ring as a child, than everybody in this arena put together has their whole life! Simply signing on with Elite Answers Wrestling doesn’t cut it. That wasn’t the day I magically found the talent, and magically knew what to do. I was raised in this company, I’ve seen the women who come-and-go, but I’ve always been here. I’ve always let people talk, because they just expose themselves as idiots. Tonight, Alaska? Jeering me exposed you as idiots, too.
Veena Adams: Winning this National Elite Championship has been a long time coming. Year after year I’ve seen people who I know I’m more talented than, rise through the ranks and become champions. You’re going to mock me for saying this, but as much as privilege is an advantage? It can also sometimes be a disadvantage. People assume the worst of me without considering my work ethic, they think I’m skating by because of my last name, and they don’t seem to realize the talent that I come with. I’ve been discriminated against— by management, by the fans, even on commentary at times, yes I’m looking right at you, Eve! But what I did at King of Elite, beating Donovan Duke, clean as a whistle? That hatred and that discrimination is the last thing on my mind, because I did it my way, I won and I’m truly happy.
Veena Adams: Everybody doubted that I could do it. Donovan Duke, twelve whole months as a champion with some big, big feathers in his cap. He’ll run through Veena Adams, he’s a star in the making, he’ll dominate her in the ring and move onto the next one. But, no. He didn’t run through me, he isn’t a star in the making and he didn’t move onto the next one. For most of you sitting here today, it was a foregone conclusion. Because you fell into the trap, assuming that I’m a nepotism baby, assuming that there isn’t a morsel of talent within my fingers. Despite what I did at Road to Redemption, despite me clawing my way to this championship match after years. Shame on all of you, truly, shame on you for doubting me.
( The Alaskan crowd are booing Veena, who is being her typical, self-absorbed self. There is a semblance of truth to her words, however. Against Donovan, few believed she could get it done, they’d seen all the opportunities Veena had received in the past and figured she had stagnated. But she overcame the odds, she did it her way, she won the National Elite Championship and she isn’t hesitant to rub that in the faces of the millions— fans, management, colleagues, who doubted she could make something of herself. )
Veena Adams: My road to this championship hasn’t been easy. There have been times where I’ve competed and have been outshone, sure. But there’s also times where I’ve been selfless, where I’ve put the needs of others before mine. Take my time on Dynasty as an example. I offered my bloodline, my expertise having practically been born into the business. But my thirst for brand domination, my skill set and my intelligence wasn’t appreciated! And there’s my relationship with Charlie. I was a huge force behind Charlie’s ascent to the top of this company, him winning the World Championship, I played a big role in that. I offered him my expertise, I sacrificed my career and my success for his, and we had such an incredible relationship. I’ve shown glimpses of greatness, but due to one reason or another, due to circumstances constantly shifting, it took me a little longer than most to win a genuine championship.
Veena Adams: It’s in my blood to never give up. Because the people who doubt me? They simply don’t know what it means to sacrifice for this business. I could’ve done anything. I could’ve been a model, a reality television star, I could’ve sold pictures of my feet to legions of adoring fans and gotten more respect than I do here. But I put my body on the line and I spend countless days a year performing for this company. And you’re all ungrateful and unappreciative. I’ve improved. A moment that sticks out to me was the Empress of Elite tournament last year. I was eliminated in the first round— I was ridiculed! I was mocked, called a disappointment and a failure to the Adams bloodline. But I kept fighting, I kept swinging and rising up through the ranks and finally, I have the gold right here to show for it.
Veena Adams: Think about some of the men and women who have held this championship. Take the attention off of Donovan Duke for a moment and think. Myles, now a World champion. Minerva just held the World Championship for seven whole months. Sienna Jade, a Universal Women’s champion and TLA, who has done so many amazing things in this sport. I look at names like these and I think, I will follow in their footsteps. I look at how they improved holding this title, how they elevated now only the championship they held, but how they carried themselves. I know my destiny is to continue this amazing lineage, I know I’m going to rise through the ranks and become a big, big face for this company. Nobody is taking this from me. I literally kicked Donovan Duke, punted him in the skull over-and-over until he was on the floor and not moving. I’m a fighter, call me whatever you like, but when the bell rings I can be an animal and I’m going to become a star, the star of Showdown, while holding this belt.
( Veena Adams tosses the microphone down onto the canvas following a very compassionate, albeit entitled speech. The Alaska crowd are jeering, it’s a storm of negative chants and general disdain for the bombshell situated in the ring. Veena climbs the turnbuckle and poses with the National Elite Championship. From there, we slowly fade and transition to an ad for Reasonable Doubt.)
( The scene fades back to the show, revealing Gina Romano with a huge smile on her face as she prepares to announce the next match. )

His movements are quick and purposeful, showing that he means business tonight. Hans isn’t messing around; he enters the ring and wastes no time in taking his entrance gear off, ready for battle. )

Gavin Kirkland: I’m not going to lie here, Hans looks dead serious tonight, and that’s to be expected given that his target is none other than former Answers World Champion Jack Ripley. He’s clearly determined to secure this win, and it’s obvious that he’s come prepared for battle!
Eve: Hans Grayson is another rising star in the Showdown brand, and it’s wonderful to see him continuously improve as he takes on all comers. He’s already faced some of the biggest names in EAW and tonight, he’s ready to take on Jack Ripley and come away with a well-deserved victory.
( ‘Blue World’ by Mac Miller blares over the PA system, Jack Ripley emerges on stage to a chorus of boos. He completely ignores the crowd and his opponent, displaying a noticeable air of arrogance. Jack seems unfazed by the crowd’s jeers and makes his way to the ring with a confident strut. )
Gina Romano: AND HIS OPPONENT!…. FROM LAS VEGAS, NEVADA!… WEIGHING IN AT 205 POUNDS!… HE’S THE ‘STRAIGHT SHOOTER’ !… JACKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK… RIPLEYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!
Gavin Kirkland: The last time we saw Jack, he suffered a defeat at the hands of Kelton, which saw Kelton advance to the semi-final round of King of Elite. Despite this setback, Jack isn’t slowing down and he’s determined to keep pushing forward until he achieves his ultimate goal.
Deadprez: Jack may have had a slow start to the year, but that doesn’t mean he’s going to let it hold him back. He’s ready to fight and take names, and tonight he’s looking to add Hans to his list of conquests.

Gavin Kirkland: The match is underway and these two have been waiting to tear each other apart for a long time! HANS DOESN’T WASTE ANY TIME, CHARGING AT JACK WITH A THUNDEROUS KNIFE-EDGE CHOP, SENDING HIM REELING TOWARD THE ROPES. JACK QUICKLY SPRINGS BACK, RETALIATING WITH A PRECISE REBOUND KICK THAT CONNECTS WITH HANS’S HEAD. UNDETERRED, HANS QUICKLY RESPONDS WITH A LIGHTNING-FAST PELE KICK, DROPPING JACK TO BOTH KNEES!
Eve: Hans quickly lifts Jack back to his feet, only to send him crashing into the corner… BUT JACK IS QUICK ON HIS FEET AND MANAGES TO AVOID HANS’S CORNER ATTACK, GRABBING HIM FROM BEHIND AND PULLING HIM DOWN TO HIS KNEES. WITH PRECISION, JACK CONNECTS WITH A WELL-PLACED KICK TO THE SIDE OF HANS’S HEAD!
Deadprez: Hans stumbles, on the brink of collapse, but Jack refuses to let him fall. He picks Hans back up, gripping him tightly by the head. Jack attempts to execute a Belly-to-Belly Suplex, but Hans counters with a quick elbow strike to the top of Jack’s head. The strike causes Jack to loosen his grip, and Hans takes advantage, leaping forward and setting Jack up for a standing suplex!
Gavin Kirkland: Jack refuses to be taken down so easily. As Hans sets him up for the suplex, Jack drives a sharp knee strike into Hans’s midsection. Jack repeats the attack, striking Hans with another knee!
Gavin Kirkland: The impact causes Hans to loosen his hold, and Jack takes advantage by shoving him away and connecting with a massive chop to Hans’s chest. Hans clutches at his chest in pain, trying to respond, but Jack is quick, ducking under Hans’s counterattack and striking him with another brutal chop!
Eve: Jack sends Hans running towards the ropes, but as he readies for another attack, Hans ducks underneath and delivers a resounding chop to the back of Jack’s head! Hans gets his revenge as he picks Jack up, showing his power and technical prowess with a punishing Saito Suplex!
Deadprez: Jack, in a moment of quick thinking, stops Hans’ momentum by landing a forceful back elbow to Hans’ face. Hans recoils, giving Jack an opportunity to strike with a swift kick to Hans’ midsection. Jack takes advantage of the situation, sprinting towards the ropes to gather momentum for his next move.
Gavin Kirkland: Jack leaps off the ropes and lands a devastating jumping knee strike courtesy of Hans Grayson! Just as Jack begins to stumble… HANS COMES IN WITH A HUGE CLOTHESLINE, TURNING JACK AROUND IN A FULL 360-DEGREE ROTATION AND COMPLETELY KNOCKING HIM OUT. HANS IS ON FIRE LIKE ‘FIRE HEART’ HE IS!
Eve: Hans revs up the crowd with his electrifying energy, then eagerly leaps over the ropes and goes in for the kill! OH MY GOD, IT LOOKS LIKE HE’S GOING TO FINISH OFF JACK RIGHT HERE AND NOW. THIS IS GOING TO BE A DEFINING MOMENT FOR HANS, A TURNING POINT IN HIS CAREER!
Eve: ‘BURNING SHOT LARIAT’ TAKING RISING JACK RIPLEY OUT COMPLETLY! HANS GOT IT-
Gavin Kirkland: JACK SPRINGS INTO ACTION AND DODGES HANS’ MOVE BY SNAGGING HIM LIKE A FISH WITH A MID-RUN HURRICANRANA! WHAT A FANTASTIC COUNTER BY JACK RIPLEY! HE’S CERTAINLY GOT SOME QUICK REFLEXES!
Deadprez: Despite being temporarily taken down, Hans refuses to back down and tries to regain his footing. Meanwhile, Jack regroups and charges back in, aiming for a Snap DDT. But Hans catches him off guard and lifts him up, sending him flying over the ropes and down to the apron. With both feet firmly planted, Jack grabs the top rope and delivers a KICK to the back of his head! Sending Hans crashing back into the ring!
Eve: Jack takes his time as he drapes himself over the apron. Hans struggles to get back on his feet after the devastating kick to the back of his head. But Jack doesn’t give him a chance to catch his breath, charging towards Hans with full force and looking to spike him with a slingshot DDT!
Gavin Kirkland: OH WOW! In JUST a split second, Hans strikes Jack with a quick right hand, sending him crashing down to the ground from the air. Without wasting a moment, Hans pounces on the opportunity and goes for the win, attempting a pinfall!

Deadprez: Jack kicks out with a shoulder off the mat, showing he’s not ready to give up just yet! Hans is unfazed, though, and simply shakes his head before retreating to the corner. Hans kneels down, he keeps his focus fixed on Jack, who starts to stir as he gets back on his feet. The punch from Hans took a toll on Jack, and it’s clear from the look on his face that he’s not quite himself anymore.
Eve: With his focus renewed, Jack turns his attention back to Hans Grayson… Hans wastes no time, charging out of the corner with full force! Oh wait, Jack is ready and jumps over Hans, causing his face to collide with the middle turnbuckle! That had to hurt! Hans stumbles out of the corner, and Jack sees his opportunity. Jack grabs and spikes Hans to the mat with an Inverted DDT! That was a great move to take your opponent down, and it looks like Jack may have the upper hand now!
Gavin Kirkland: Jack isn’t rushing to go for the pin, it seems like he’s got a bigger plan in mind. Rising to his feet, Jack watches as Hans tries to recover from the Inverted DDT. With Hans now on both knees, Jack towers over him, locking eyes with him….
Gavin Kirkland: A KICK GOES RIGHT INTO HANS’ CHEST WITH IMPACT BY JACK RIPLEY!… ANOTHER ONE!…. AND ANOTHER ONE!….
Hans Grayson: (Off-Mic) *yelling* COME ON, JACK! IS THAT IT?????
Deadprez: Jack with a hard slap across Hans’ face and it’s all downhill from there…. JACK TAKES A STEP BACK AND UNLEASHES A BARRAGE OF CHEST KICKS ON HANS, SHOWING NO MERCY! THE KICKS KEEP COMING, AND IT SEEMS LIKE HANS’ SPIRIT IS SLOWLY BEING CRUSHED. JACK IS DOMINATING THE MATCH AND HANS IS STRUGGLING TO KEEP UP! Oh boy, this isn’t looking good for Hans!

Hans Grayson: *tries to breathe*….. is that….
Eve: A SLAP IN REPLY FROM HANS! Jack is not content with just a few kicks and goes in for more! Hans is fast enough and ducks under Jack’s attack! With Jack now off balance, Hans lifts him high into the air, looking to hit him with a Spinning Michinoku Driver II! This could be Hans’ chance to turn the tides of the match!
Gavin Kirkland: Jack, sensing the danger, uses his quick thinking and pushes Hans’ shoulders to escape his grasp. Jack lands on his feet and quickly counterattacks by shoving Hans towards the ropes….

Jack rises to his feet slowly and casts a disapproving gaze down upon Hans, who is desperately trying to regain his footing. Jack’s eyes reveal his burning desire to bring this match to a close. The look of disappointment on his face speaks volumes and leaves no doubt as to how sick he is of Hans. On the other hand, Hans is putting up a valiant effort, determined to take Jack down once and for all.
Gavin Kirkland: Jack lifts Hans back to his feet and hoists him onto his right shoulder. Taking aim at the corner in front of him….
Gavin Kirkland: JACK CHARGES FORWARD AND HURLS HANS’ FACE INTO THE MIDDLE TURNBUCKLE WITH A LAWN DART!
Deadprez: Hans proves to be a slippery foe, slipping out of Jack’s grasp and landing back on his feet. Jack skids to a stop once he reaches the turnbuckle, only to be met with a charging Hans. Jack delivers a swift kick to Hans’ midsection in time…. GRABS THE ROPES, AND SPRINGS OFF THEM FOR A HIGH-FLYING MOONSAULT!
Eve: HANS CATCHES AND TURNS JACK DOWN WITH A SPINNING MICHINOKU DRIVER II! WHAT A COUNTER BY HANS GRAYSON! Hans isn’t going for a pin there. He promptly lifts Jack up from the mat, despite the fact that he’s still on both knees from the move….
Eve: DROPPING JACK BACK DOWN WITH A BACKDROP SUPLEX!
Gavin Kirkland: Hans is unstoppable tonight! He’s been giving Jack a run for his money and showing no signs of slowing down. Despite being a former Answers World Champion, Jack has been on the receiving end of a relentless barrage of offenses from Hans. Jack is still down, but Hans is already back on his feet, surveying the situation and ensuring that his opponent will stay down for a bit longer. Hans leaps over the ropes and lands nimbly on his feet.

Eve: Jack begins to rise back to his feet, having managed to take down Hans with one of his signature moves. Hans also starts to get back up, but at a slower pace. Jack beats him to his feet and looks down at Hans, assessing the situation….. ‘YOU’LL FLOAT TOO’ !!!!!!!! A SUPERKICK TO THE VICTORY LAP!
Deadprez: BUT HANS SAW IT COMING IN TIME, GRABBING ONTO JACK’S LEG AND SPINNING AROUND FOR A DEVASTATING POISONRANA. JACK IS SENT CRASHING BACK DOWN TO HIS KNEES, DISORIENTED FROM THE SUDDEN ATTACK. JACK IS STILL ON BOTH KNEES…. HANS FINISHES HIM OFF WITH ‘FLAMING PUNCH’ A SUPERMAN PUNCH KNOCKS JACK OUT COLD!!!!!! JACK IS DOWN FOR THE COUNT AND HANS GOES FOR IT!!!!!!!!

Deadprez: Both men are slowly getting back on their feet after a tough battle. Hans isn’t finished yet, and neither is Jack Ripley. Jack goes for a chop, but Hans hits back with his own. They’re not done yet and are determined to keep fighting! Hans tries to take another shot, but Jack quickly ducks and kicks Hans in the chest. Jack also chops Hans before sending him to the ropes…. HANS RUNS OFF THE ROPES AND GIVES JACK A CHOP ACROSS HIS CHEST TOO!
Eve: Jack takes a step back and retaliates with a well-placed kick to Hans’ left thigh. He then shifts his focus to the right thigh and connects with another powerful kick to the side of Hans’ head. The impact causes Hans to stumble backward. In a desperate attempt to regain control, Hans lunges forward with a lariat, BUT JACK NIMBLY JUMPS UP AND TAKES HANS DOWN WITH A SUDDEN HURRICANRANA, MUCH TO THE SURPRISE OF THE AUDIENCE!
Gavin Kirkland: HANS TURNS THE TABLES AND TAKES CONTROL OF THE SITUATION, TOSSING JACK DOWN TO THE MAT. WITH LIGHTNING-QUICK REFLEXES, HANS SEIZES JACK’S RIGHT LEG AND SWIFTLY SNAPS IT IN HALF WITH A DRAGON SCREW LEG WHIP! THE SUDDEN MOVE LEAVES JACK WRITHING IN PAIN ON THE GROUND!
Deadprez: Hans opts not to go for the pin and instead seems to have something else in mind. Hans puts Jack on both knees and delivers a crushing blow with a powerful right knee strike to Jack’s gut. With the advantage now in his favor, Hans continues his barrage, repeatedly striking Jack with a succession of right knee strikes!
Gavin Kirkland: There’s no need for speculation, as it appears Hans has a clear plan in mind. He’s trying to make Jack submit by punishing his gut with a series of relentless strikes! Although it may seem like a long shot, Hans is determined to prove his mettle. He continues to drive his right knee into Jack’s gut, and Jack begins to falter. Deadprez: Congratulations to Jack, but let’s not forget to give Hans his due for putting up a valiant fight against the former Answers World Champion tonight. He continues to demonstrate why he’s one of the top newcomers in the game today. Bravo to both men!
( ‘Blue World’ by Mac Miller hits as Jack crawls out from under the bottom rope and leans against the barricade. He looks on as a frustrated Hans fumes over his defeat at Jack’s hands. Jack simply wears a self-satisfied smirk on his face as the scene fades to a commercial break. )

(We cut to the back and see Ryan Joseph Wilson and Xander Payne involved in a conversation which seems more than a little jovial. Ryan, perhaps more than Xander, shows real excitement in his voice.)
Ryan Joseph Wilson: They have to believe us now Xander, we are the real deal, and everyone is going to have to accept that.
Xander Payne: It’s a big win, no doubt about it.
Ryan Joseph Wilson: Big win… it’s huge. King of Elite was huge for us. To be fair with Adam winning King of Elite…
Xander Payne: Let’s not talk about him
Ryan Joseph Wilson: OK, but you can’t deny it… we put Showdown on the map and now we get a shot at Soul Food Sunday. Just imagine if we pull that off as well, no one will be able to doubt us ever again.
Xander Payne: I know
Ryan Joseph Wilson: Then come on, put a smile on your face. We’ve done everything we said we would, and we ain’t going to stop now.
Xander Payne: No, we’re not. But we can’t forget about our individual plans as well.
Ryan Joseph Wilson: Of course, that goes without saying.
Xander Payne: Does it? Because it seems to me that you are putting all your eggs into the Unified Tag Team Championship basket, and that wasn’t the deal Ryan.
Ryan Joseph Wilson: I know this, you don’t have to worry.
Xander Payne: I’m not worried Ryan, I just want to make sure that we keep our eyes on ALL the prizes and not just the one. We need to stay on the same page with this one and see it through. Only then will we both get what we want.

Xander Payne: Yes, for listening to me, and understanding what you needed to do to succeed. We are legit contenders, and we will become Unified Tag Team Champions, but we only do that if you continue to trust the process and follow my lead. You do that, then the skies the limit for both of us. Understand?

Xander Payne: Good…
(Xander is about to continue, when Heidi Huxley walks up to them both, a huge smile on her face.)
Heidi Huxley: Xander, Ryan… I’m glad I have caught up with you both.
Ryan Joseph Wilson: Heidi… did you see what we did at King of Elite?
Heidi Huxley: Yes, I did, and can I add that Kennedy Street is more than pleased with the both of you.
(Ryan pushes Xander on the shoulder.)
Ryan Joseph Wilson: You hear that Xander, Kennedy noticed us.
Xander Payne: Yeah, Yeah… great.
(Xander was too much of a veteran to be too excited by that comment.)
Heidi Huxley: Yes, she is really pleased that you defeated the Ice Aces and now get the chance to bring the Unified Tag Team Championship back home to Showdown.
Ryan Joseph Wilson: We will do our best Heidi
Xander Payne: Yeah, anything to make Kennedy look good in the eyes of Disney huh?
(Ryan scowls at Xander, and Heidi doesn’t even seem to be listening to the comment, so caught up is she in what she is saying.)
Heidi Huxley: But we have to make sure that you are both at your very best. Soul Food Sunday are of course legitimate Champions and will take some beating. We know you can do it of course, but with that in mind, we would like to help you to prepare.
Ryan Joseph Wilson: How are you going to do that?
(Xander shakes his head, Ryan still has so much to learn.)
Heidi Huxley: I’m glad you asked Ryan, and might I say what a pleasure it is to see one of the rosters so invested and attentive.
(A huge grin forms on Ryan’s face, loving the compliment.)
Heidi Huxley: I’m going to have you face a duo of my choosing, one that will test you in a way that prepares you for what you will face in Soul Food Sunday. I’ve going to use all my experience in this industry…
(Xander coughs, almost choking on his spit.)
Xander Payne: Sorry, something got stuck in my throat, continue.
Heidi Huxley: As I was saying, I will use all my knowledge…
(Now Xander grins, covering it with his hand.)
Heidi Huxley: … to give you both the perfect opponents and give you the best possible chance of becoming the Unified Tag Team Champions. Kennedy and I are excited about the possibility and we are sure that you won’t let us down.
Ryan Joseph Wilson: We won’t… will we Xander?
Xander Payne: No, I have no intention of losing. But who are we going to be facing in this ‘preparation’ match?
(Heidi smiles, shaking her head.)
Heidi Huxley: Now that would be telling wouldn’t it?
Xander Payne: Yeah, that’s kind of the idea.
Ryan Joseph Wilson: A little clue maybe?
Heidi Huxley: Stay tuned boys, you’ll find out soon enough.
(Heidi turns around and walks away from them both, Ryan almost having kittens because he doesn’t know who it is.)

Xander Payne: Yeah… makes you wonder though doesn’t it why all the mystery?
Ryan Joseph Wilson: Ah, you’re so cynical. Whoever it is, we’ll just do to them what we did to the Ice Aces.

(The camera focuses on Ryan, who for a short moment looks concerned, but then his thoughts turn to the opportunity. Xander’s expression is far different however, he didn’t trust anyone… and especially not Heidi Huxley.)
(The camera returns to the ring, where Gina Romano is standing with her microphone in hand, ready to begin the introductions for the next match.)
Gina Romano: The following contests… with a THIRTY MINUTE TIME LIMIT… is scheduled for… ONE FALL!!

( “Manners” by BAND-MAID starts to play and the crowd immediately starts cheering loudly for Alex Myers as they enter the arena. The crowd loves this amazing Elitist, who is ready for singles action, and they head to the ring.)
Gina Romano: Introducing first and making their way to the ring. They are from Auckland, New Zealand! Weighing in at 180 pounds. Here is “THE GUARDIAN ANGEL” ALEX MYERS!
Deadprez: I am always amazed to hear the ovation whenever Alex Myers enters the arena. It seems like they get even louder every week. Why not? Alex is an amazing competitor and is looking to get back in the swing of things.
Eve: You bet they are. It was three weeks ago on Showdown when Alex last competed in an amazing match in the Quarterfinals of the King of Elite tournament. They fought hard, but the match went to the eventual tournament winner, Adam Lucas.
Gavin Kirkland: Alex lost when the towel was thrown in on their behalf. It didn’t sit well with them, but tonight is the first step in building themself momentum and to get back into the title picture. But they better watch out. Their opponent has an arsenal and bag of tricks fit for a veteran.
(Alex enters the ring and immediately takes their corner as they look out and see the still cheering fans in the crowd as their music fades off. After a few moments of silence, “Heart-Shaped Box” by Nirvana starts playing as Jon Kelton enters the arena. The crowds meets him with a mixed, but more negative reaction as he heads straight for the ring. )
Gina Romano: Introducing their opponent! They are from Dallas, Texas. Weighing in at 210 pounds. Here is “THE CHOSEN ONE” JON KELTON!
Gavin Kirkland: Here comes a man who is probably not in the best of moods. We last saw Kelton in action two weeks ago on Showdown in the King of Elite Semifinals where he took on and was also defeated by Adam Lucas.
Eve: I wouldn’t say that too loudly. He’d be likely to come over here and knock your teeth out. Kelton put on an amazing performance, and he as well would have been a great Showdown representative, but it wasn’t meant to be. Tonight, he looks to get back on track.
Deadprez: Kelton might think that he should be King right now, but tonight he needs to focus on Alex Myers tonight if he wants to get the victory. Alex is tough and always willing to go for it all, but Kelton has the tricks and arsenal of a veteran. Who will come out victorious? We are about to find out.
(Kelton enters the ring and takes his corner as his entrance music fades off. Neither competitor has taken their eyes off the other as the referee checks both competitors and then calls for the bell.)

Deadprez: Here we go! Things got heated between these two during the week and now it’s time to see who will win this battle of in ring superiority. Lock up in the center of the ring and Kelton takes advantage with a side headlock.
Eve: Kelton using his power advantage to wrench on Alex’s neck. That’s the big bullseye of the night on Alex, especially since the damage their neck took three weeks ago. Kelton snaps Alex over and Alex is on the mat.
Deadprez: Kelton in firm control right now and Alex is trying to find a way to get free, BUT ALEX GETS THEIR LEGS WRAPPED AROUND KELTON’S NECK! Headscissors by Alex, BUT KELTON GETS FREE!
Gavin Kirkland: Both competitors are on the mat AND THEY BOTH KIP UP AND GET BACK TO THEIR FEET! WE HAVE A STANDOFF! The crowd is loving it right now. Listen to the cheers of the crowd.
Eve: They are back in the center of the ring and they lock up again. STALEMATE IN THE CENTER OF THE RING! Neither one giving an inch right now, BUT KELTON MUSCLES OVER ALEX AND PUSHES THEM INTO THE CORNER! The referee is in the middle of things looking for a clean break–
Gavin Kirkland: KELTON TRIES TO FIRE OFF A RIGHT HAND, BUT ALEX DUCKS IT AND KELTON ABOUT CLOCKS THE REFEREE! The referee avoids it at the very last second and Alex uses the chaos to come behind Kelton and shoves him in the corner.
Deadprez: Kelton in the corner AND ALEX WITH THOSE MARTIAL ARTS STYLE KICKS TO THE RIBS! OVER AND OVER AGAIN BY ALEX MYERS! The referee starts a count for Alex to get Jon out of the corner.
Gavin Kirkland: The referee reaches four and ALEX WITH A KICK TO THE FACE FOR GOOD MEASURE! Alex grabs Jon’s neck and SNAPS him out of the corner. Alex hits the ropes on the other side before coming back AND ALEX WITH A BASEMENT DROPKICK TO KELTON’S FACE!
Eve: Kelton goes head over heels over to the ropes after that dropkick. Alex is back to their feet and goes to bring Kelton back to his feet, BUT KELTON WITH A DROP TOE HOLD THAT SENDS ALEX FACE FIRST INTO THE MIDDLE ROPE!
Deadprez: Alex quickly scrambles back to their feet and they walk right into a waiting Kelton who locks their head and TAKES THEM DOWN WITH A SNAP SUPLEX! KELTON QUICKLY FOLLOWS UP WITH A FLOAT OVER INTO THE COVER! LEGS ARE HOOKED!

Gavin Kirkland: Alex with the quick kick out before two. Jon quickly mounts Alex AND JUST STARTS THROWING RIGHT HANDS INTO ALEX’S FACE! Alex doing whatever they can to block those shots.
Eve: The referee admonishes Kelton to open up his fist and Kelton finally does at four. These two are going to be pushing the referee’s limits before they get threatened with disqualification. Kelton brings Alex back to their feet and whips them to the ropes–
Deadprez: ALEX DUCKS THE CLOTHESLINE ATTEMPT AND HITS THE ROPES AGAIN! Kelton grabs Alex, but ALEX WRAPS THEIR LEGS AROUND KELTON’S NECK AND TAKES HIM DOWN WITH A HEADSCISSORS!
Gavin Kirkland: Kelton went for a ride and sent towards the ropes, but Alex isn’t going to give him a second to breathe AND ALEX FOLLOWS UP WITH A DROPKICK THAT SENDS KELTON THROUGH THE ROPES AND OUT TO THE FLOOR!
Deadprez: Alex is looking to follow up that dropkick as they get out onto the apron. ALEX SPRINGS UP TO THE SECOND ROPE AND TAKES KELTON DOWN WITH A BEAUTIFUL COFFIN DROP AND BOTH COMPETITORS ARE ON THE FLOOR!
Gavin Kirkland: The crowd absolutely loves Alex Myers. They aren’t exactly playing with a full deck with all those risky moves they do, but appreciate the heart that this competitor has… and they are the first competitor back to their feet.
Eve: Alex delivers a few boots to Kelton’s back as he climbs back to his feet. Kelton is up and Alex is throwing forearms in Kelton’s face before they try to whip Kelton, BUT KELTON REVERSES IT! Alex sent for a ride AND THEY LOOK TO CRASH INTO THE RING STEPS–
Deadprez: ALEX GOT THEIR HANDS UP AT THE LAST SECOND AND ALMOST CARTWHEELS OVER THE RING STEPS AND THEY LAND ON THE OTHER SIDE! WHAT A COUNTER BY MYERS! Kelton saw that and can’t believe what he saw as he runs towards Alex.
Eve: Alex was ready as they jump up on the ring steps AND LAUNCH THEMSELF AT KELTON, ALEX LOOKING FOR A DDT, BUT KELTON CAUGHT THEM! Kelton adjusts position and Alex is on his shoulder now. Kelton runs full speed AND PLANTS ALEX ON THE FLOOR WITH A RUNNING POWERSLAM!
Deadprez: ALEX CRASHED HARD ON THE FLOOR! Kelton hears the referee’s count and rolls into the ring and quickly back out to break and restart the count. Kelton is here to prove a point tonight as Kelton brings Alex to their feet.
Gavin Kirkland: Kelton takes the chance to whip Alex AND ALEX GOES FACE FIRST INTO THE RING POST! Alex crashes hard as they manage to stay on their feet and stumble over to the barricade to keep their balance.
Eve: Kelton runs full speed AND SPLASHES ALEX AGAINST THE BARRICADE AS THEY FALL INTO A SLUMP ON THEIR FEET AGAINST THE BARRICADE! Kelton is out for blood tonight. He grabs Alex by the hair and tosses them back into the ring.
Gavin Kirkland: Kelton gets on the apron and is waiting for Alex to get back to their feet. Alex slowly struggles to get back to their feet, AND KELTON SPRINGS ONTO THE TOP ROPE AND TAKES ALEX DOWN WITH A SPRINGBOARD CLOTHESLINE ACROSS THE THROAT! ALEX IS DOWN AND KELTON GOES FOR THE COVER!

Gavin Kirkland: Kelton is trying to wear Alex down in any way possible in order to finish Alex off, but Alex is doing whatever they can to try and break free of this submission move. The ref is down there to see if Alex wants to give it up.

(The bell has run and the referee quickly goes over to Gina Romano and informs her of the final decision of the match.)
Gina Romano: Ladies and gentlemen, the referee has informed me that this match has been officially ruled a DOUBLE COUNTOUT!
(The crowd loudly boos at that decision as the referee exits the ring and tries to break up Jon and Alex, who are still fighting.)
Deadprez: Listen to the crowd show their disagreement with that ruling, but the referee can only give so much leeway before they have to do something. It stinks to see an amazing match like this end by countout.
Eve: But can you really be shocked? These two fought tooth and nail against each other in a great match, but they wanted to beat each other up so badly that they both ignored the rules and kept on fighting.
(The referee finally manages to get in between Jon and Alex and successfully separate the two competitors. The ref pulls Alex away as Jon tries to attack again. The ref shoves Jon back a little and tells him to leave ringside. Alex tries the same thing, but the referee grabs Alex and pulls them back as Jon heads up the entrance ramp.)
Crowd: LET THEM FIGHT! LET THEM FIGHT! LET THEM FIGHT! LET THEM FIGHT! LET THEM FIGHT!
Gavin Kirkland: Listen to this crowd! They want more. They wanna see these two keep going and beat the crap out of each other. I say let them. Why not? Give us a definitive winner. This is Showdown. LET THEM WRESTLE!!
Eve: As much as we all wanted a guaranteed winner and as much as we want them to continue wrestling, that might have to come at another time. For right now, this match is over. What a great match between these two. They showed exactly why they are forces to be reckoned with on the Showdown.
Deadprez: This match might be a draw, but they both put out an amazing performance for the Alaska crowd to watch and enjoy. After the ending of this match, there will be no doubt at all that we will see these two square off again. This will not be the last time we will see Alex and Jon beating the hell out of each.
(The final shot shows Jon standing at the top of the entrance ramp as he glares down at Alex, who is still being held back by the referee. Alex is equally returning the glare back to Jon as the camera cuts back to the ring.)
(As Showdown comes back from a commercial break, “M3tamorphosis” by Playboi Carti ft. Kid Cudi starts to play throughout the arena. The fans stand up and boo as Impact slowly makes his way to the ring.)
Gina Romano: Please welcome at this time…. IMPACT!
(The crowd continues to boo as Impact is at the apron and looking out, obviously not pleased after what happened last week at King of Elite.)
Deadprez: Impact is here and I am sure that he has a lot to say after what happened last week at the King of Elite. He was seconds from winning the Answers World Championship for an eleventh time when Chris Elite made his shocking return and caused a disqualification. Impact still won, but he didn’t get the championship.
Eve: He is not a happy man right now, well on his way to becoming the Answers World Champion, but it was all for not. Chris Elite made sure of it. We were all surprised at his return, and it definitely impacted the outcome.
Gavin Kirkland: It sure did and now we are about to see the consequences for it!
(Impact has the mic, he takes a second before speaking and addressing the EAW Universe.)
Impact: I should be standing here as the Answers World Champion right now, for I did exactly what everyone knew was going to happen and that was defeat Jake Smith who is nothing more than a transitional champion holding on to MY belt. I tried to be patient, I tried to do it by the books and defeat him like a wrestler of my stature should, but that was not the case. Instead, I was subjected to malarkey. I had Jake Smith beat, there isn’t a person on this planet that can say otherwise, and I would dare you to try. The fact is, I’m not done pursuing the Answers World Championship, a title that I never should have lost to begin with. Jake was like a vulture after I defeated the now King of Elite in Adam Lucas.
(He paces some, looking very unhappy and knows that his chance to be the World Champion was ripped from his hands.)
Impact: Since I have been on Showdown the last few seasons, all I have done is dominate. From the very start I made a promise to be the absolute best and I did exactly this. But when I had Jake Smith down and was ready to take my place yet again as the Answers World Champion, something happened, it’s like when you turn on the lights and cockroaches scatter, they only come out when everyone is least expecting them, that is the story of Chris Elite. Chris has become the little pest who never goes away and I came out here to call him out and Jake Smith. I know that the artists formerly known as the Haircare Kings may not be riding together….. but they sure as hell are going to die together. And….
(As Impact continues to speak, he is interrupted by “Invincible” by Pop Smoke as the crowd erupts in cheers, some boos. Impact turns to the entry way to see Chris Elite walk out, he gets about halfway to the ring and stares at Impact.)
Deadprez: Chris Elite has returned to Showdown after a lengthy absence and made a huge splash at the King of Elite. But he is here and looks better than ever!
Eve: He really does and has a huge smile on his face, the batteries have been recharged!

Chris Elite: I am pretty sure that is what you would like, but in all reality, let’s get to the point, okay? I couldn’t in the right conscience allow you to win over Jake when truth be told…. He’s mine to beat. It was one of those situations where wrong place and wrong time sort of things, but hey, you know how that goes, right? I mean, don’t take it personal, that was always my title to win and especially against Jake.
Impact: Oh, I see, so this this is some personal vendetta that you have against Jake because he turned out to be the more successful of the two since you laid an egg to start the season against me for the Answers World Championship, right? Face it Chris, if there is anyone that is washed up here, it’s you.
Chris Elite: I had a feeling you would say that, but of course you are standing here without the World Title and Jake is? Seems to me like….
(Suddenly “WAR” by Grandson starts to play throughout the arena as the fans get up and cheer, some boo. Jake Smith walks out holding the Answers World Championship. He has a huge smile on his face with the title firmly in his grasp with mic in hand.)
Deadprez: The World Champion is here! He definitely has something on his mind! He has heard enough from Impact and Chris Elite!
Eve: The Champ is here and look at his face, he is all smiles, knowing that title is still in his possession! Impact is not amused, and Chris Elite doesn’t look surprised.
Gavin Kirkland: Jake is the luckiest champion alive! I see nothing but more of that riding his way!
(Jake Smith with mic in hand interrupts the two in the ring.)
Jake Smith: Okay…. Okay…. Enough of this. I get it, Impact is upset because he is not the Answers World Champion, I am. But lets face it, I was going to kick out of whatever he did anyway. Chris here on the other hand is jealous, the Haircare Kings went their separate ways, I became a World Champion and he disappeared. Who had the more meaningful run? I thought so. (‘Partition (Smearcase Trap Remix)’ by Beyoncé hits the speakers once again as the crowd reacts with nothing but a rain of boos pouring down on Kassidy Heart, who releases the submission from an unconscious Donovan Duke before being helped up by the referee, who holds her arm up in victory, thus acknowledging her as the winner. Kassidy then pushes him away as she jumps into the second turnbuckle, starting to celebrate her win herself, looking quite proud of the destruction she just made occur.)
Gina Romano: LADIES AND GENTLEMEN… HERE IS YOUR WINNER… KAAAAASSIIIIIDYYYYYY HEEEAAAAAAARTTTT!!!!
Gavin Kirkland: What a match that was! That was truly a worthwhile main event! What a contest! What a victory by Kassidy Heart!
Deadprez: There’s absolutely nothing to take away from Donovan Duke. This man came out here like a warrior and took Kassidy Heart to her limits just like he promised to, but at the end Kassidy Heart was – as usual – just too much to handle, and Donovan Duke has absolutely no shame in this defeat.
Eve: Yeah, and Kassidy Heart still got her apparently much needed revenge at the end of the day, so I guess that’s enough! Kassidy Heart continues to conquer the Showdown roster and not only stand on top of its mountain, but the EAW Mountain as a whole! Donovan Duke nonetheless was no easy task however, but Kassidy Heart still managed to pass yet another mission, and that tells a lot about how she never lost a single bit of it. Congratulations to the EAW Hall of Famer!
(The final shot is seen as Kassidy Heart is seen making her way to the exit, looking quite satisfied with the victory she was just able to pick up, meanwhile Donovan Duke is seen seated against the bottom turnbuckle, looking quite disappointed, mainly in himself however. From there, Saturday Night Showdown fades to the last commercial break.)
(As the break ends and we fade back into Showdown, ‘You know my Name’ by Chris Cornell blast through the speaker system, the arena erupting and people jumping to their feet. The noise is absolutely incredible, and almost drowns out the entrance music.)
Deadprez: He’s here… and these fans giving him the reaction that he earned at King of Elite
Eve: Our ‘King is in the building off the back of one of the performances of the season.
Gavin Kirkland: ALL HAIL THE KING!!!
(As if on cue Adam Lucas steps through the curtain and somehow the noise level steps up yet another notch. Under his arm is the Kings Crown, and he lifts it aloft, the fans going bananas, the grin on Adam’s face a picture to behold. As he obviously tries to hold in his emotions, he nods, before making his way down to the ring.)
Deadprez: Just a week ago, Adam went through one of the most hellacious matches of his career, and considering what he has been through, that’s saying quite a lot. He was literally stabbed with a Crucifix and STILL found something in him to see a way to victory. It looked over, it looked like Drake King was going to be King of Elite and then… literally one of the highlights of my career, almost cinematic in it’s execution, Adam droves that same crucifix between Drake shoulder blades, and pinned Bronson Daniels for the three count. Unbelievable.
Gavin Kirkland: I had a tear in my eye Prez, it was quite the moment.
Eve: It was, but let’s not forget, as well as being King of Elite, he also rubber stamped a shot at the Answers World Championship whenever he chooses. That’s been Adam’s endgame all season and now it is tantalizingly within reach.
(Adam reaches the ring, and walks up the steps, entering through the strands. He then places the King of Elite crown on the turnbuckle, before then asking for a mic. Once he gets one, the music dies down, but the people don’t, as an ‘Adam Lucas’ chant starts to roll around the place, Adam wiping a tear away from his eye. He then seems to compose himself, and points towards the crown.)
Adam Lucas: That there… That is as much for you all as it is for me.
(The crowd erupts again, but Adam continues.)
Adam Lucas: And it feels so damn good to be ‘King’. To at last have something to celebrate. Recognition for all the hard work that I have put in over the last twelve months. How many times have I had thrown at me ‘But Adam, what have you actually achieved?’ Well right there guys, is the biggest symbol right now of who I am. The ‘King’ of Elite. But what does that mean in reality? I know what some will say and to a point, they would be right to. Impact wasn’t in this tournament. Kassidy Heart wasn’t. There was no Jake Smith to stop me, and those comments are fair enough. But that only tells half the story doesn’t it? There WAS Alex Myers, John Kelton, Xander Payne and Ryan Wilson amongst so many others. There was Bronson Daniels and Drake King in the finals. Anyone who tries to dumb down this achievement, which some undoubtably will, can take a spot next to everyone else who doubted me this year. Anyone else who claimed I couldn’t do this. Anyone who ever told me that they wanted this ‘more’ than I could possibly imagine. Anyone who said that, and I’ll reiterate it to those people right now, didn’t understand who I was. Not once. They didn’t bother to educate themselves on the backstory of what this meant to me. They didn’t care.
(He pauses.)
Adam Lucas: I’m not even going to talk about my journey to even get to EAW in the first place. I’ve told that story too many times now. I’m going to start by talking about when I was at my lowest ebb, when Impact barbecued me in front of you all at Dia Del Diablo, I had to make a choice. I could either continue being a doormat for those who will go to the ends of the earth for a victory, or I could evolve. I choose evolution. Making that choice, I knew that there were going to be those that wouldn’t like it. I knew that people looked up to me as someone who upheld the morality around here, someone who wouldn’t lower himself to those depths. I knew that if things stayed that way, I couldn’t continue to exist, so I made a pact with myself. Anyone who wronged me, would get the same in return. An eye for an eye. And so, Season Sixteen started with a new outlook, a new means to an end, and a new following. I was booed in arenas for my choices, and I respected that. I started to dominate Showdown, beating the very best in this company. Those that tried to drag me down, I took them out first. I made a promise to everyone that stood by me, that by the time Season Sixteen ended, I would be Answers World Champion. And because of what happened last week at King of Elite, that promise is one step away from reality. I may be the King of Elite, and that is an honor and a privilege. But I’m not done. No way. I thank Roberto De La Rosa, Alex Myers, Jon Kelton, Bronson Daniels and indeed Drake King for giving me the opportunity to prove what I have been saying all along. I will one day be Answers World Champion… and I think what happened at King of Elite shows just how far I am willing to go to achieve that.
Deadprez: I think we must concede that King of Elite was a shining example of just what EAW truly is. Three men entered that ring and literally gave their all.
Eve: I’ll be honest, there were times when I thought Adam was done. Many times, in fact, but he came back fighting. It was like he outright refused to be beaten, and that’s an attribute Adam has developed over the course of this season.
Deadprez: You’re right… if he’d not had that in his locker, he wouldn’t have even reached the final because Alex Myers and Jon Kelton both had him on the rack. It’s that newfound tenacity and intensity that has been the difference.
Adam Lucas: And it would be wrong of me to not speak of Bronson Daniels and yes even Drake King, who both showed why they are at the top of their game. I had to dig deeper than ever before, and that is testament to the two of them. In fact, without them, this would mean anything like as much. The pain, the suffering, none of it would have been worth it without them and although I might not like Drake as a person, there is no doubt he is one of the best competitors in the world, same with Bronson. To stand there, with that crown on my head. Sharing the moment with you all, it was special…
(Adam lowers his head for a moment as his voice cracks, the emotion getting to him. The ‘Adam Lucas’ chant kicks off again, trying to give him encouragement.)
Eve: All getting a little much for him here, and that’s understandable after that he’s been through.
(Adam pinches the top of his nose to compose himself, lifting his head, his eyes still a little glassy as he continues.)
Adam Lucas: Sharing the moment with my wife, in this very ring… it is a moment that I will never forget. To see that pride in her face meant just as much as the victory itself.
Deadprez: Dr. Bethany Blue, our new Universal Women’s Champion, making them quite the power couple now.
Adam Lucas: It’s so difficult to come out here and do justice by simply speaking, to explain just how much winning this tournament meant to me. And what it means going forwards. I don’t have the almost Shakespearean words of some of the roster, I just have a microphone and my feelings.
(Adam’s eyes narrow, and that now familiar determination returns. As if recognizing there was more work to do.)
Adam Lucas: But we are not done guys, not yet. We have one more thing to do. You see, with that crown, comes a World Championship shot. I saw what happened at King of Elite, and I’m sure Karl will be foaming at the mouth for retribution after what Chris Elite did on his return. Xander has made it clear, he’s not done. Kassidy Heart. Ms. Extreme, the list goes on and on, all worthy contenders to Jake Smith and the Answers World Championship. But they are all going to have to wait because I have my shot now. I’m not going to mess anyone around like Jake did with his Cash in the Vault contract. I’m done waiting, I won’t wait. I’m calling my shot. And I’m calling it at…
(“Her” by Megan Thee Stallion kicks in over the PA system, boo’s ringing out over the arena as they let their feelings known. Adam looks up towards the entranceway, a huge grin on his face as if he had known this was going to happen.)
Deadprez: Looks like Kennedy Street is on her way out here and after all the medical attention she had, throughout the night, will she be a little worse for wear! It’s going to be intriguing listening to her. Her and Adam have no doubt had their issues, but Adam just won King of Elite for Showdown. Surely that looks good on Kennedy?
Eve: I don’t know Prez, Adam has said on many occasions that Kennedy only cares about herself.
Gavin Kennedy: Are you kidding me right now? Kennedy IS Showdown and we should embrace that. WOOOOO, there she is.
(Kennedy appears on the rampway, she is still feeling the effects of the beating she took at the hands of Ms. Extreme and doesn’t look happy.)
Kennedy Street: Cut the music!
(The music stops, Adam is the one to quickly engage in conversation.)
Adam Lucas: Not going to lie, Kennedy. I wasn’t expecting to see you come out here tonight after Ms. Extreme beat your ass earlier in the night.
Kennedy Street: Har… har… honey. You of all people know how tough Kennie is, that little stunt your toxic friend Camille pulled to start Showdown was cute, it stun a little and messed up my makeup and hair, even scratched some of the polish off my big toe, but that all can be fixed. I can at least say that while you’re annoying, at least you’re not on the levels of Camille petty and “extreme” bi-polar, yes pun intended. No, Adam I came out here to personally congratulate you.
(Adam looks a bit stunned, though he entertains the notion some.)
Adam Lucas: Hard to believe…. But okay. Thanks?
Kennedy Street: Kennie is being serious with you for the moment honey. You brought the King of Elite crown to Showdown, Holly Arrow failed to do so with the Empress of Elite, but you did it. Not only does this make Showdown the top brand, it also means that you without even knowing it helped Kennie get the biggest ratings for tonight’s broadcast. Bravo!
(She showers him with applause as Kennedy brandishes a huge grin on her face while Adam now knows what this is all about. Her ratings, always being selfish.)
Adam Lucas: Okay…. Okay… I get it now Kennedy, this is all to pop a rating, fine but wait until you pop a rating when I challenge the Answers World Champion in the MAIN EVENT OF PAIN FOR PRIDE! Whoever that may be!
(The crowd goes ballistic and the cheers rain in Alaska as Kennedy smiles, pointing at Adam.)
Kennedy Street: You know, Kennie had a feeling you’d say that and since it is so far away, we all look forward to it, but let’s talk about the here and now. You are the King of Elite 2023! Showdown’s King! There is only one problem honey….. you’re not Showdown’s only King.
(Adam looks a bit confused when he quickly turns around….)
Deadprez: GO TO GAWD! THE SPEAR BY KASSIDY HEART WHO JUST HAD A MATCH WITH DONOVAN DUKE! SHE IS STILL IN HER WRESTLING GEAR AND THE SWEAT DRIPPING FROM HER HAIR!
Eve: KASSIDY JUST BROKE ADAM LUCAS IN HALF AND SHE IS PICKING HIM UP AGAIN….. DEDEDE DDT! AND THAT LAYS ADAM OUT!
(Kennedy looks on before she whispers in the mic…)\
Kennedy Street: All hail the King.
(Partition by Beyonce plays throughout the arena as Kassidy stands over a fallen Adam Lucas who is stirring in the ring. Her eyes fixated on Adam the whole time before finally raising her arms. Kennedy just smiles looking on.)
Gavin Kirkland: KING KASS REMINDED US ALL WHY SHE IS STILL KING! BUT AT LEAST KENNEDY IS OKAY!
Eve: There is going to be hell to pay, I can tell you that much! Kassidy Heart out of nowhere and she just made a statement after being victorious at King of Elite!
