(EAW Intro plays…)
(RECAP–The recap of last week’s Showdown takes place from the Philippine Sports Stadium in Bulacan, Philippines. The recap starts with Adam Lucas coming down to the ring and explaining his actions from last week involving Alex Myers as well as his mindset towards the future. He has his eyes on the Answers World Championship. In the first match of the night, the debuting Hans Grayson defeats Lila Vandran. From the stipulations set last week, Lila has been fired from Showdown. Next, the Answers World Champion Impact is backstage talking to Kyra Phillips and gives his opinion on the Elimination Chamber match and saying he has no doubts he will retain his Answers World Championship at Road to Redemption. The next match is interbrand action with Showdown’s Lexi defeating Voltage’s Kylie Grace. Then we return backstage to where GM Kennedy Street calls in both Jack Ripley and Alex Myers to tell them that they are competing at Road to Redemption…IN A COFFIN MATCH! Both competitors are shocked but more than ready to beat the crap out of each other. Next, in a National Elite Championship Scramble Match qualifier, The Don of EAW, Harley Lewis picks up a victory of Major Scotty Connor to qualify for the match. After the match, Harley and Scotty are attacked by three masked men who reveal themselves to be Roberto De La Rosa and his cousins.)
(The recap continues as Mikaela Street has a sitdown interview with Veena Adams. She says she is tired of being underappreciated and overlooked and will finish 2022 by becoming the number one contender for the National Elite Championship and that she will become the new National Elite Champion. She then gives her comments about her aunt Kassidy Heart before the interview ends. The next match has Holly Arrow defeating Lucas Johnson to qualify for the National Elite Championship Scramble match. Then we have Jake Smith coming down to the ring as he calls out Kassidy Heart and challenges her to a match as he is tired of her crap. Kassidy comes out and accepts the match on the condition that she gets to pick the stipulation. Jake agrees and Kassidy wants a Last Person Standing match before Jake agrees and lays Kass out leaving her on the mat. The next match has Harper Lee defeating Komatsu Ogawa to qualify for the National Elite Contenders Scramble match. We then go backstage where GM Kennedy Street as she runs down everything that happened last week, both good and bad…eventually giving Impact and Kassidy Heart a pass for what they did. Finally, in the main event of the evening, Answers World Champion Impact defeats Ryan Joseph Wilson. After the match, Kass and Impact attack Ryan and Xander until Jon Kelton, Adam Lucas, and Donovan Duke all enter the fray and join the fight, but not before Jake Smith runs down to the ring in the hopes of cashing in his Cash in the Vault Briefcase. Sadly, Impact and Kass get away as the brawl continues and Jake looks toward Impact and Kass saying “Almost” as the recap ends…)
(“Brick Wall” by A Day to Remember is playing throughout the beautiful Thong Nhat Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The crowd in attendance is going absolutely crazy in excitement for all the Showdown action to start, and that is made even clearer by the cheers heard all around the stadium. The crowd has on their EAW merchandise supporting their favorite EAW Elitists while others are holding up signs cheering for their favorites or mocking the ones that they hate. After a few moments of the camera showing the entire crowd, the camera settles at the broadcast table where the trio of Deadprez, Gavin Kirkland, and Eve are sitting and ready to once again call all the Showdown Action.)
Deadprez: Ladies and gentlemen, we are on the way to Road to Redemption and the action is running high. This is SATURDAY! NIGHT! SHOWDOWN! Allow me to thank everybody for allowing us into your homes. I am Deadprez and alongside Gavin Kirkland and Eve, we will be calling all the action that the Elitists of the Blue Brand can provide. Things are going to get hot and heavy tonight. I just know it.
Gavin Kirkland: You can say that again, Prezzy. There is going to be action coming left and right and I LOVE IT! I am SO EXCITED FOR TONIGHT!! WOOOOOOOO!!!
Eve: Gavin, I think you need to switch to decaf or something. But he is right. There is so much action on tap. After last week, there is no doubt we will be hearing from Roberto De La Rosa and his Familia here tonight.
Deadprez: We will also be hearing from the Answers World Champion, Impact. Of course he will be addressing everything that went down last week as well as the fact that Jake Smith almost cashed in on him during that big brawl.
Gavin Kirkland: Speaking of Impact, we will also without a doubt be hearing from Kassidy Heart. Last week, Jake Smith issued a challenge to Kassidy Heart. Heart accepted the match only if she could pick the stipulation and she picked a Last Person Standing match. After that, Jake laid out Kassidy and Kassidy is not happy to say the least. That will be tonight.
Deadprez: Last week, we saw Holly Arrow, Harper Lee, and Harley Lewis qualify for the Scramble Contenders Match at Road to Redemption for a shot at the National Elite Championship. Tonight, GM Kennedy Street explains what exactly the Scramble Contenders Match will entail. Speaking of GM Kennedy Street, tonight she confronts Adam Lucas and Donovan Duke. Both Adam and Donovan expressed their discomfort of competing for the Unified Tag Team Titles. They both competed on Voltage, but they lost the match. There is no doubt that Kennedy is mad and she is going to let Adam and Donovan hear it.
Gavin Kirkland: That is definitely going to reach a fever pitch tonight, but let’s talk about the MATCHES! THE MATCHES! It’s going to be big tonight. Tonight, we have Roberto De La Rosa taking on Komatsu Ogawa in singles action. Of course, La Familia will be escorting Roberto to the ring.
Eve: We also have triple threat action on Showdown, Hans Grayson is looking to stay undefeated here tonight as he takes on Lucas Johnson and Major Michael Scott Connor. Will Hans stay red hot? Will Lucas show what the skills of a veteran can do or will Major Scotty use his military experience and turn that into a victory? That will be tonight.
Gavin Kirkland: We also have Abel Atami taking on the dangerous Lexi in singles action. Both are looking to build momentum, but who will walk out victorious tonight?
Eve: We also have the proverbial Can They Coexist on Showdown tonight. Alex Myers and Jack Ripley must team up to face Harper Lee and Holly Arrow. Throw in Veena Adams as a Special Guest Referee and we have a disaster waiting to happen. That will be tonight.
Deadprez: In our main event, we have another Elimination Chamber Preview Match. We have Jon Kelton taking on Xander Payne in singles action. Xander will have Ryan Joseph Wilson by his side, but will that shift the odds in Xander’s favor? We will find out later tonight, but right now, let’s take it to the ring to begin our Showdown action!
Gina Romano: The following contest has a twenty-minute time limit and it is scheduled FOR!
Crowd: ONE FALL!!
Eve: This is sure to be a good one!
Gina Romano: INTRODUCING FIRST… HE IS ‘EL ARTISTA’ ROBERTO DE LA ROSAAAA!!!
(‘ Soy- by Santa Fe Klan.‘ hits and De La Rosa makes his way down onto the stage with Esmeralda, they both look confident as they walk down the rampway. As fans in the front row ask for high-fives, Esmeralda brushes them off as Roberto slides into the ring! His wife clapping for him as he raises his arms out, dropping to his knees soaking in the reaction from the crowd!)
Deadprez: Roberto looks like he believes in himself, the question must be asked— is belief enough? He grabs the mic.
(Roberto paces the ring with the rest of his Familia. He has the mic in hand ready to address the crowd.)
Roberto De La Rosa: Some of you have been wondering, Que paso? What happened when La Familia finally came into pinche Showdown and finally con la union que nosotros tenemos was shown in full force last week. Maybe I was tired, cansado de la mierda I have been dealing with since coming to Showdown. I am a man of few words and lots of action, but this needed to be told, por que yo no soy tu perro! Tu eres mi perro!
(Roberto looks around as the crowd continues to boo him. La Familia all smile as he continues to talk.)
Roberto De La Rosa: I needed to send a message, because it seems like to me you perros do not take me serious. I am someone that I will admit, te lo digo ahorra, I did get a little lost last season, though I vowed this one to become el mejor…. El rey de la lucha libre! And I don’t think that you people understand what the entails. Los primos, mi familia that stands next to me? Oh, they understand. They know what it takes to survive. The EAW doesn’t know, the Showdown brand doesn’t know either, but the familia? Oh we know.
(The crowd boos, Roberto looks around and smirks.)
Roberto De La Rosa: It’s time that I put the Blue Brand on notice! For far too long I have been treading water, but I said it before, perros, I will say it again, Roberto De La Rosa came here to be a campeon! I didn’t come here to waste mi tiempo con todos estos cabrones! The final straw was when I was left off the card at Road to Redemption and now I’m going to make everyone pay. See, we have a princessa, una reina as the General Manager now on Showdown, ella sabe! She knows what value Roberto De La Rosa has! But starting right now? Get this perro out here so I can show Vietnam como el Padraso lo hase…. Por que este es mi Venganza!
(Roberto throws the mic down waiting for his opponent to walk out.)
Gina Romano: AND HIS OPPONENT… HE IS ‘THE DRUNKEN HEEL KING…’ KOMATSU OGAWA!
(‘Get Going’ by The Muddy Apes blasts throughout the arena as Komatsu Ogawa storms out, Tanaka trying to catch up with him, Komatsu looks to be in a mood for hurting someone. Tanaka smiles pointing at Komatsu who stomps his way up the steel steps and enters the ring! Tanaka gets up on the apron and whispers into Komatsu’s ear, before Komatsu goes to the opposite corner of De La Rosa…)
Eve: Komatsu Ogawa looks like he really wants to hurt Roberto!
Gavin Kirkland: Yeah but look how nonchalant De La Rosa is! Maybe that’s a bad thing, or a good thing…
Deadprez: I think he just knows he can take on Komatsu, but I’ve made some bad calls in my day.
(DING! DING! DING!)
Eve: The match is underway, both men not much of a size difference between the two— though Ogawa clearly the bigger man. Both men circle the ring before closing in for a collar-to-elbow tie-up! Komatsu looks to be getting the advantage as he pushes Roberto into the corner, and MASSIVE UPPERCUT! De La Rosa’s head bobbles like his skull has been disconnected from his neck! Komatsu turns his back, foolish mistake there as Roberto jumps up and balances himself on the middle rope! Komatsu turns around AND— JUMPING DDT PLANTS ‘THE DRUNKEN HEEL KING!’ The action started off strong so far…!
Deadprez: Can’t argue with that Eve. Roberto kips back up to his feet as Komatsu rolls onto his knees holding his head dazed! Roberto looks towards the ropes and runs off them and towards Komatsu, A KICK RIGHT TO THE CHEST OF OGAWA! That kick connected with almost every single corner of the body of Komatsu Ogawa! Komatsu doesn’t fall, he stays up soldiering through the pain and stands back up holding his gut— Roberto tries to run off the ropes once more and take Ogawa out with a Lariat—-!
Gavin Kirkland: But it doesn’t work! Komatsu intercepts De La Rosa midway and Shoulder Tackles him, sending Roberto flying towards the edge of the ring! Roberto grabs onto the ropes looking discomfited after that massive tackle! Can’t blame him, Komatsu running at you full speed is like dealing with a truck doing the same! Roberto doesn’t stay down and lifts himself up using the ropes- dizzily walking towards Komatsu, who scoops him up and slams him damn! Nice Scoop Slam from ‘Drunken Heel King!’ Komatsu drops down and hooks the leg for a quick pinfall attempt!
ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!
Eve: Kickout! And to nobody’s surprise either, way too early to try and be putting an end to the fight. Komatsu doesn’t look surprised as he gets back up and drags Roberto by his hair up back to his own. Komatsu tries to lift ‘El Artista’ up in the air for a Suplex— however look! Roberto starts throwing punches to the stomach of Komatsu— forcing him to let go of De La Rosa!!! Komatsu grabs at his stomach in pain, Roberto wasting no time to quickly capitalize on this fact… Roberto jumps up WITH CRAZY ATHLETICISM—- HURRICANRANA TAKES DOWN KOMATSU OGAWA!
Deadprez: Wow, I can’t say I expected that in the slightest from Roberto, but what works, works! Roberto with a smile across his face looking around at the crowd, feeding into their chants! De La Rosa tells Komatsu to get back up to his feet— Komatsu is doing just that, struggling to stand up after being wiped out how he was! However, he manages and ‘El Artista’ grabs Komatsu with both arms at his head, and jumps up with a Knee! That knee looked absolutely nasty, and it looks like he could have broken a nose! Komatsu is grabbing his face in a mass amount of hurt very clearly, and Roberto shows zero remorse as he Irish Whips him towards the corner!
Gavin Kirkland: Komatsu tumbled towards the turnbuckles and his back hit hard on them! Komatsu looks incredibly uncomfortable, De La Rosa makes his way towards ‘Drunken Heel King’ and is met with a boot! Komatsu gets that boot up at the last minute— De La Rosa is stunned as Komatsu makes pursuit and flattens him with a huge elbow to the back of the skull! Roberto is about to fall down but Komatsu catches him and flips him around— A huge Lariat from Komatsu takes him down! WHAT A MOVE!
Eve: YES WHAT A MOVE! Komatsu now with repeated stomps onto the gut of Roberto De La Rosa, this is actually sickening! Komatsu is not stopping, this is at least the twelfth stomp down onto ‘El Artista!’ Wait! Hey, what’s she doing? Esmeralda is up on the apron and she’s yelling at Komatsu Ogawa! It seems her plan is working well as Komatsu makes her way towards her as the referee asks her to get down, Komatsu is talking back… but from behind Roberto crawls towards Ogawa— AND FROM BEHIND A LOW BLOW! DE LA ROSA TAKING A MASSIVE CHEAP SHOT TO REGAIN ADVANTAGE! The official didn’t see any of it either!!! Esmeralda jumps down and Roberto tries to get the pinfall!
ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!
Deadprez: No! Even with that massive cheap shot, Komatsu has much more in the tank than that Eve. ‘Painmaker’ begins to get back up to his feet as he is trying to decide what to do next! Oh… ROBERTO RUNS TOWARDS THE ROPES— AND JUMPS UP AND OFF THE MIDDLE ROPE FOR A SPRINGBOARD MOONSAULT AND IT CONNECTS! Roberto is off the rails, showing off an aerial side of him— Roberto gets back up to his feet feeding into the crowd! De La Rosa slowly but surely starts lifting Komatsu Ogawa up to his feet, and as he does— He tries to take him back down with a Judo Throw!!! To no avail as Komatsu plants his feet and throws his head against De La Rosa’s for a massive HEADBUTT!
Gavin Kirkland: Mama Mia! Concussion city is what that should be called! Massive headbutt there from Komatsu, as Roberto returns the favor with a HEADBUTT OF HIS OWN! Komatsu is staggered but turns around and slaps the taste out of Roberto’s mouth! Roberto holds his cheek, and with a grin he delivers a fist to the head of Komatsu! And another! And another! Komatsu falls into the ropes— Roberto drives his knee into the abdomen of Ogawa, and then Irish Whips him towards the other side of the ring! Komatsu comes flying towards Roberto— Kitchen Sink! ‘Drunken Heel King’ gets cut down early! Ogawa lands right on his back on the unforgiving mat!
Eve: Komatsu doesn’t stay down for long though as he sits up and quickly makes it back up to his feet, Roberto not prepared for such a quick turn of events! Komatsu throws himself towards De La Rosa and takes him out with a Bicycle Kick! Roberto gets planted! Just like Komatsu he doesn’t stay down either for very long, much slower though as he starts getting back up— Komatsu has his eyes on Roberto! Roberto stands up and is immediately met with a wicked forearm! De La Rosa barely manages to stay up as Komatsu tries to deliver another! ‘El Artista’ is one step ahead though and ducks down and under, as Ogawa turns around he’s caught with a Cutter! A cutter that sends Komatsu down onto the mat! What a beautiful move from him!
Deadprez: You can say that again, both of these elitists are playing a high level game in this match. Neither wanting to take the loss, Roberto of course the one up to his feet as he raises his arms out towards the crowd— flexing him being the one on top at the moment! Can’t count your chickens before they hatch though, Komatsu has rolled over to the ropes and he’s lifting himself off the mat… Roberto, seeing this, tries to intervene with a stomp to Komatsu! It’s denied however as Komatsu pushes the foot away from him and instead delivers a kick to the stomach of Rosa!! He’s in dangerous territory now, Komatsu manages to get his arm over the throat of Roberto De La Rosa— and a Rolling Cutter takes Roberto out! He said what you can do, I can do better! That’s a pinfall attempt right there as Komastu hooks the leg of ‘El Artista!’

Gavin Kirkland: Nope! Not yet, Roberto is still kicking and he’s still got some left in him. De La Rosa pushes Komatsu away and rolls out of the ring, Roberto takes a second to recover, you can’t blame him! This has been an intense match from the very beginning! Esmeralda talks her husband up, clearly encouraging him to take out Komatsu.. Ogawa already up to his feet, hands on his hip, awaiting for Roberto to enter once more! Roberto grabs ahold of the bottom rope, and tells Komatsu to back up so he can enter! Komatsu Ogawa obliges and takes a couple of steps back as Roberto gets up and enters the ring! Both me staring down again, they meet eyes and— nothing? Neither man is playing the first move, wait I stand corrected! Komatsu pushes Roberto!
Eve: Yes he does, and back he goes! Roberto doesn’t seem very happy with this as he walks up and with all of his might pushes Komatsu back! Komatsu falls into the ropes and comes forward for a Lariat— a Lariat that doesn’t work! Roberto evades it by ducking, Komatsu stops and turns around and is immediately taken out with a Pele Kick from Roberto! De La Rosa has a response for everything in this match and it’s truly impressive! Komatsu has been taken down and De La Rosa looks like he has a plan and he’s pursuing it by getting up and trying to get Komatsu up!!— Roberto De La Rosa stands Komatsu up and he’s lifting Ogawa up and off the ground with a SAITO SUPLEX! OGAWA LANDS RIGHT ON THE NECK!
Deadprez: Ouch! That’s not going to feel good by the end of the day today, De La Rosa not even bothering for a cover as he lifts himself up and off the mat! Roberto backs up to a corner, kneeling down and pushing his hair out of his face— Roberto is ready to put an end to this match-up but he’s gotta get Komatsu up…. Or Komatsu has to get himself up. Which I think option number two is bound to happen, with ‘Drunken Heel King’ picking himself up off the mat onto a knee, he stands up but before Roberto can attempt what I can only assume is ‘Talon De Águila’ that vicious spear Roberto keeps up his sleeve, Tanaka pulls the leg of Roberto De La Rosa!!!
Gavin Kirkland: Is our official blind? Huh? How does he miss that?! Roberto is being robbed right now as we speak! De La Rosa has just been taken down and he hits the mat face first! Komatsu has no idea what just happened but he makes his way towards Roberto who is trying to get up— KOMATSU LIFTS ROBERTO UP AND WRAPS HIS ARMS AROUND HIM, BELLY-TO-BELLY SUPLEX! DE LA ROSA IS SQUASHED! The weight of Komatsu came collapsing down onto him! Ogawa now gets off of Roberto and steps up to his feet, Ogawa grabs the arm of Roberto pulling him up! ‘El Artista’ is in trouble as Komatsu hoists him up on his shoulders, he’s going for ‘Bloody Mary!’ BUT NO! De La Rosa driving an elbow into the neck of Komatsu forces him to loosen his grip and let go of Roberto!
Eve: De La Rosa freeing himself there, possibly from the ending of this entire match! Komatsu Ogawa turns around and is caught with ‘Talon De Águila’ THAT SPEAR HE WAS TRYING TO HIT EARLIER! Roberto De La Rosa tried to snap the body of Komatsu Ogawa in half, and maybe he did! Who knows! What we do know is De La Rosa has taken ‘The Drunken Heel King’ out! Roberto sits up after the huge move, he doesn’t want to try and go for the cover just yet, maybe not thinking it’s enough to call the match! De La Rosa has got himself up and he’s looking around at the crowd, gloating again… I personally think this can cost a man the entire match, but hey if he’s confident let him be!
Deadprez: Hey! Tanaka has stepped up onto the ring apron and he’s in the face of the ‘Painmaker’, they’re arguing back and forth! This can cost Roberto is he’s not careful— Tanaka brushes De La Rosa off and jumps off the apron— ROBERTO TURNS AROUND INTO A CLOTHESLINE FROM HELL ATTEMPT!— THANKFULLY ROBERTO WAS FAST ENOUGH JUST TO DODGE IT! THE FORCE THAT WAS PUT INTO THE CLOTHESLINE FROM OGAWA COULD’VE PUT ROBERTO AWAY!!! Ogawa is hit in the back of the head with a clubbing strike! Komatsu turns around holding the back of the head and he looks at Roberto angrily! He throws a jab towards De La Rosa, it just making the mark! Komatsu tries to follow this up with an Uppercut— Roberto evades it and sends a kick to the stomach of Komatsu! De La Rosa tries to sneak behind Komatsu and get his arms around his waist but fails! Komatsu is now going for a forearm! Roberto moves and sneaks behind Ogawa!!!
Gavin Kirkland: Yes it could’ve! Komatsu turns around and is kicked in the stomach, Roberto wraps his arms around Komatsu and lifts him up— ‘THE CALLING CARD’ PILEDRIVER HAS KOMATSU’S SKULL DRIVEN INTO THE MAT HARD!!! Komatsu Ogawa is out, he’s done! Roberto De La Rosa pushes Komatsu off of him and grabs his leg, he lifts it up and he’s going for the cover!!! The official slides down to the mat and he’s counting!

Eve: Hard Fought battle, could’ve gone either way in my opinion!
(‘Soy- by Santa Fe Klan. hits as De La Rosa sits up with his arm raised high! He laughs as the bell is rung and he’s announced the victor! He rolls out of the ring to celebrate with his wife, who hugs him! The couple make their way up the rampway, with De La Rosa and his cocky grin looking back at Komatsu who’s laid out on the mat still as the final scene, before the camera fades elsewhere…)
(We cut to the back where Kyra Phillips is backstage having been given what she considers a huge honor. She actually seems to have a smile on her face, pride resonating from her having been given a huge opportunity usually reserved for the General Manager. Clearing her throat, she starts to speak.)
Kyra Phillips: Hi and thank you for joining me at this history defining moment of the show. It’s been three years, yes three years since we saw this match, but finally after the longest of waits, the Extreme Enigma Elimination Battle Royal is returning to EAW.
(In the arena the fans go mental, which brings another smile to Kyra’s face.)
Kyra Phillips: That’s right, after a long hiatus one of the most ‘extreme’ matches in EAW history returns, and five people will be looking to end the year having made a huge name for themselves, setting themselves up for 2023. I’m sure there are many who would love the opportunity, but only five people have been given that privilege and a chance to write their names into EAW folklore. Just moments ago, I was given the names of those participants by EAW Management, and I have been given the honor of revealing them to you now.
(It is obvious she is building the tension, and the EAW fans are buying into it as well, which pleases her even more.)
Kyra Phillips: So, without further ado… the five participants in the Extreme Battle Royal participants are…
(Again she pauses, some of the fans jeering her now, cottoning on to her game.)
Kyra Phillips: HANS GRAYSON!!!
(This gets a mainly positive reaction from the crowd, Hans being a relative newcomer.)
Kyra Phillips: KOMATSU OGAWA!!!
(The negative reaction that name gets is no real surprise considering his recent exploits.)
Kyra Phillips: Next up, Komatsu’s partner in the Triangle of Terror… LUCAS JOHNSON!!!
(Lucas has been around for a long time, and gets a mainly mixed reaction.)
Kyra Phillips: MAJOR MICHAEL SCOTT CONNOR!!!
(With the Major’s name announced, the place erupts, as he has gained a large following in a very short space of time.)
Kyra Phillips: And finally… ROBERTO DE LA ROSA!!!!!!!
(This is possibly the most negative of them all, Kyra having to wait for fear of being drowned out by the noise levels. She waits for twenty seconds before it has finally died down enough for her to speak.)
Kyra Phillips: Five Elitists in this for only one thing, to win the Extreme Enigma Battle Royal at Road to Redemption and…
(Kyra pauses, and the camera angle widens to reveal Hans standing next to her, nodding his head in appreciation.)
Hans Grayson: Well, well… that comes as quite the surprise.
Kyra Phillips: It…does?
Hans Grayson: Being the new guy, I thought it would take time for me to make my name. But it seems like someone has noticed me already. And honestly, I’m not surprised.
Kyra Phillips: Will you be ready?

(The crowd roars as Major Michael Scott Connor steps into camera shot, Hans looking him up and down.)
Hans Grayson: What did you come as?
Major Michael Scott Connor: Me, I came as your superior, and winner of the Extreme Enigma Battle Royal.
Hans Grayson: That right?
Major Michael Scott Connor: Oh yes, I understand being the new guy you probably don’t get it yet, but winning this match would do wonders for me on Showdown, especially with the new General Manager. So, I’m afraid you won’t be winning at Road to Redemption, no matter what you think.
(Kyra is just listening by now, and Hans is about to respond when Lucas and Komatsu fresh off his match with De La Rosa, step into the fray.)
Lucas Johnson: Sorry boys, but you are both wrong.
Komatsu Ogawa: So, very wrong.
Lucas Johnson: See, our season hasn’t gone great, and unlike the two of you, we both need this.
Komatsu Ogawa: Rookies shouldn’t be anywhere near a match like this. Especially when it is obviously either Lucas or I will win.
Major Michael Scott Connor: And yet, the two of you don’t win very often, do you?
Hans Grayson: I think I’ve won more this season than you two
Komatsu Ogawa: How about we show you both right now what we are all about?
Major Michael Scott Connor: You’re welcome to try
Lucas Johnson: We don’t try, we do… but we’ll leave it till the big stage to embarrass you, so cool your jet.
Hans Grayson: Translation… scared.
Lucas Johnson: Really?
(Hans steps up to Lucas as Kyra takes a step back sensing trouble.)
Hans Grayson: Yes. Rea…
(Before he can finish the sentence, from nowhere Diego De La Rosa attacks him from behind, as Roberto De La Rosa takes the Majors head, and slams it into Komatsu’s, dropping them both to their knees. Javier De La Rosa takes advantage of Lucas’s surprise, and tackles him to the floor, driving several fists into his face as Lucas tries to cover up. A knee from Roberto into the Major’s skull levels him, before a dazed Komatsu spins him around, but Roberto is too quick, head-butting Komatsu on the bridge of his nose, before laying him out with a forearm smash. Diego at the same time rams Han’s Grayson’s head into the partition wall, before grabbing him and DDT’ing him onto the concrete floor. The Familia then get to their feet, Roberto dusting himself before breaking into a chuckle, grabbing Kyra’s mic and looking towards the camera.)
Roberto De La Rosa: We are the dominant force in EAW, and at Road to Redemption, I, Roberto De La Rosa WILL win the Extreme Enigma Battle Royal. You can count on it. ESTO ES MI VENGANZA!
(The Familia walk off in the opposite direction, as officials finally appear way too late. The scene cutting away.)
(The camera returns to ringside where Gina Romano is standing in the middle of the ring, ready to start the introductions for the next match.)
Gina Romano: Ladies and gentlemen! This next match has a TWENTY MINUTE TIME LIMIT and is a TRIPLE THREAT MATCH scheduled for ONE FALL!
Crowd: ONE FALL!
(“The Leaving Song Pt. II” by AFI starts to play as Hans Grayson enters the ring to a mixed reaction from the live crowd. He is feeling the energy of his upcoming second match as he heads to the ring.)
Gina Romano: Introducing the participants! First! From Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada! Weighing 216 pounds! Here is “FIRE HEART” HANS GRAYSON!
Deadprez: Here comes the newest signee to Showdown! Hans Grayson had an amazing debut last week when he took on Lila Vandran.
Eve: Not only did he take her on, he won the match. Unfortunately, it meant Lila left Showdown. But we can’t take anything away from his debut victory last week. There’s a reason why General Manager Kennedy Street was so impressed with him and signed him to Showdown before seeing him officially compete.
Gavin Kirkland: Last week, he went one on one. Tonight, it’s a triple threat match. Hans shouldn’t get too cocky because his two opponents are rising in the ranks and will no doubt give Hans a lot of trouble in the match.
(Hans takes off his entrance jacket before entering the ring and taking his corner as his entrance music fades off. After a moment of silence, “Ready To Die” by The Notorious B.I.G. starts to play as Lucas Johnson enters the arena to loud boos from the crowd as he heads to the ring.)
Gina Romano: Introducing his opponents! First, from Long Island, New York! Weighing in at 204 and ½ pounds! Here is “THE EMPEROR OF VIOLENCE” LUCAS JOHNSON!
Gavin Kirkland: Lucas Johnson makes his way to the ring as he is the second of three competitors in this match. Lucas is a former New Breed Champion and is always looking for an opportunity to build some momentum to get him his next title opportunity.
Deadprez: He’s a member of the Triangle of Terror, but the luck hasn’t necessarily been on his side as of late. Last week, he gave Holly Arrow an amazing fight but unfortunately it was Holly Arrow who picked up the victory.
Eve: Don’t count Lucas out. He is very determined to get back to the level he once had. This victory can go a long way to help Lucas get back in title contention. He needs to stay focused on the match and make sure he walks away from this triple threat match victorious.
(Lucas tosses off his tracksuit before entering the ring. He makes a remark towards Hans before taking his corner and his entrance music goes off. After another moment of silence, “Sweet Emotion” by Aerosmith starts playing as Major Scotty Connor enters the arena to loud cheers from the crowd. Scotty gives a salute to the crowd before heading to the ring. )
Gina Romano: The final opponent! Making his way to the ring! From London, Ohio! Weighing 210 pounds! Here is MAJOR MICHAEL SCOTT CONNOR, USMC!
Eve: Here comes Military Pride heading to the ring. No matter what the situation is, Scotty Connor never backs away from a challenge. That is very admirable for a competitor in EAW.
Gavin Kirkland: Last week, he was close to qualifying for the National Elite Championship Contenders Scramble match, but he came up just a little short against Harley Lewis. Then he was attacked by Roberto De La Rosa and La Familia while he was down.
Deadprez: I give Scotty all the credit in the world. He keeps learning and building up his arsenal and his skills and takes the losses with the wins. Tonight would be a good way for the Major to build up momentum towards Road to Redemption. Can he do it? He absolutely can. We are about to find out who will win this triple threat match.
(Scotty enters the ring and takes his corner as his music goes off. The referee checks all three competitors before calling for the bell.)
(DING! DING! DING!)
Deadprez: Here we go! The bell has rung and this triple threat match is underway! Remember that this match is not elimination style. This triple threat match is contested under sudden death style rules. First pinfall or first submission wins this.
Eve: The three men are looking at each other, wondering how to start this off and it looks like Scotty and Hans are going to double team Lucas. Lucas is taken down by the kicks and strikes of his opponents and that might be the name of the game for the beginning of this match.
Gavin Kirkland: Neutralize one opponent to the point where the other two battle it out to hopefully end this match. Smart strategy by Scotty and Hans as each grab a leg and drag Lucas over to the ropes. Both men fall back AND A SLINGSHOT SENDS LUCAS JOHNSON OVER THE TOP ROPE AND CRASHING TO THE FLOOR!
Deadprez: There we go! We are down to one on one for the time being as it is now Scotty and Hans left in the ring and now they lock up. Hans has a small power advantage and gets a side headlock on Scotty.
Gavin Kirkland: But Scotty doesn’t stay caught long as he throws a couple of right hands into the side of Hans and Hans lets the headlock go and are back to a stalemate. The two try again with the lockup, but this time it’s Scotty in control with a hammerlock.
Eve: Hans tries to fire back some elbows to get free, but Scotty avoids them by ducking out of the way. Hans tries again with the elbow, but this time Scotty catches him and lifts him up before PLANTING HANS WITH A BACK SUPLEX!
Deadprez: I think that Hans might have tweaked his shoulder on that back suplex because Scotty had that hammerlock still applied when he executed the suplex. Regardless, Scotty has the advantage and starts delivering boots to Hans’ midsection. Scotty now hits the ropes and drops the leg across Hans’ throat.
Gavin Kirkland: Scotty pulls Hans into the cover, but Hans kicks out before a count even starts. Scotty pulls Hans back to his feet and whips him into the ropes. Hans rebounds and Scotty puts his head down for a back body drop, BUT HANS SWINGS BACK AND KICKS SCOTTY RIGHT IN THE SHOULDER SENDING HIM FLYING BACK!
Eve: Hans takes a chance and CHOPS SCOTTY ACROSS THE CHEST AND SENDING HIM BACK! Hans whips Scotty into the corner AND DELIVERS ANOTHER KNIFE EDGE CHOP ACROSS SCOTTY’S CHEST! DANG YOU CAN HEAR THAT ONE LOUD AND CLEAR! HANS FIRES OFF ANOTHER CHOP AND LIGHTS UP SCOTTY’S CHEST!
Deadprez: Hans takes advantage of the situation and takes Scotty down to the mat with a snap suplex before he climbs up to the top rope. The rookie looking for a high risk maneuver here–
Gavin Kirkland: LUCAS JOHNSON OUT OF NOWHERE! LUCAS SHOVES HANS OFF THE TOP ROPE AND SENDS HIM CRASHING RIGHT TO THE FLOOR AND IT LOOKS LIKE HANS’ FACE CRASHED AGAINST THE RING STEPS WHEN HE FELL! Lucas Johnson now climbs up to the top rope himself to take advantage of the situation that Hans created.
Deadprez: Take advantage he does as LUCAS FLIES OFF THE TOP ROPE AND HITS SCOTTY WITH A PICTURE PERFECT FROG SPLASH AND LUCAS GOT ALL OF IT AS HE HOOKS THE LEG FOR THE COVER!

Gavin Kirkland: SCOTTY KICKS OUT AT TWO! That was a very close call that almost led to a quick victory for Lucas. But Lucas stays on Scotty and just starts throwing lefts and rights into Scotty’s face. Scotty is blocking the shots to the best of his abilities, but a few of the shots do find their mark.
Eve: Lucas stops his ground attack for the moment and brings Scotty back to his feet. Boxing practice for Lucas with those uppercuts and now Scotty is being used as a punching bag. Lucas goes for an uppercut, BUT SCOTTY DUCKS AWAY AT THE LAST SECOND AND SPINS LUCAS AROUND!
Deadprez: SCOTTY GRABS HOLD OF LUCAS’ ARM AND APPLIES A FULL NELSON! FULL NELSON ISN’T APPLIED LONG AS HE LIFTS LUCAS UP AND PLANTS HIM WITH A FULL NELSON SLAM! WHAT POWER SHOWN BY THE MAJOR! Scotty brings Lucas back up to his feet and doubles him over before lifting Lucas in the air.
Eve: Lucas held up in the air by Scotty and the crowd is cheering at the power being shown by the USMC Major. Lucas has to have the blood rushing to his head right now as Scotty now drops back and PLANTS LUCAS WITH THE DELAYED VERTICAL SUPLEX. Scotty doesn’t waste a second as he floats over into the cover.

Gavin Kirkland: HANS BREAKS UP THE COUNT WITH A KICK TO THE BACK OF SCOTTY’S HEAD! Scotty rolls off of Lucas as now Hans starts taking a few shots at Lucas after being shoved off the top rope earlier in the match. Hans’ equilibrium has got to still be a little off as he brings Lucas back to his feet and JUST FIRES AN ELBOW RIGHT INTO LUCAS’ FACE!
Deadprez: Lucas is holding his nose after that shot and Hans hits the ropes and CLOBBERS LUCAS WITH A JUMPING KNEE STRIKE! LUCAS IS ON DREAM STREET AS HANS CRAWLS INTO THE COVER!
Gavin Kirkland: WAIT A SECOND! HANS FORGOT ABOUT SCOTTY! SCOTTY SNUCK UP FROM BEHIND AND ROLLS UP HANS! SCHOOLBOY ROLL UP BY SCOTTY AND THE SHOULDERS ARE DOWN!

Eve: HANS ROLLS THE SHOULDER UP AT TWO! Military instinct of striking when the iron is hot being shown by Scotty. Hans is back to his feet and Scotty fires a forearm in Hans’ face. Hans’ fires one back in return. Another forearm by Scotty to which Hans gives another in return.
Deadprez: Scotty changes course by kicking Hans in the gut before whipping him into the ropes. BUT HANS REVERSES! Scotty sent into the ropes! Scotty rebounds and HANS JUST HIP TOSSES SCOTTY OVER THE TOP ROPE AND SENDS HIM OUT OF THE RING TO THE FLOOR! WHAT A MOVE BY HANS!
Gavin Kirkland: It was simple, yet effective. Gotta give the rookie his props for getting down to the basics when necessary. Right now, Hans turns his attention back to Lucas, who is back on his feet and he does NOT look happy right now. Hans and Lucas meet up in the center of the ring–
Eve: THERE THEY GO! HANS AND LUCAS ARE BRAWLING IN THE CENTER OF THE RING! FISTS ARE FLYING AND THEY ARE JUST BEATING THE TAR OUT OF EACH OTHER! You gotta love it when the intensity gets turned up in these matches. LUCAS JOHNSON WITH A THUMB TO THE EYE AND THAT SENDS HANS BACK AS HE CLAWS THE STING OUT–
Deadprez: LUCAS FINALLY HITS THE UPPERCUT THAT STAGGERS HANS AND SENDS HIM BACK INTO THE CORNER! Lucas quickly follows and CATCHES HANS UNDER THE CHIN WITH THAT RUNNING CLOTHESLINE! Lucas now takes advantage of the situation and climbs up to the second rope and starts pounding his fist into Hans’ skull.
(ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! FIVE! SIX! SEV–)
Gavin Kirkland: These people should know by now that the ten punches in the corner almost never works as Hans grabs Lucas by the knees and turns him around so that he is sitting on the top turnbuckle. Now Hans quickly follows Lucas and Hans is standing on the middle rope.
Eve: Hans fires off a few more forearms before grabbing Lucas’ neck and puts him in a facelock. Lucas is trying to get free but that hold is locked in tight. Now Lucas has found his way to be standing on the top rope and in a whole bunch of trouble. HANS IS LOOKING FOR A SUPERPLEX–
Gavin Kirkland: HOLD ON A SECOND! HERE COMES SCOTTY! SCOTTY CONNOR POSITIONS HIMSELF UNDER HANS AND CATCHES HIM AT THE LAST SECOND AND NOW ALL THREE MEN COME OUT OF THE CORNER AND COME CRASHING DOWN TO THE MAT! TOWER OF DOOM AND LUCAS GOT THE WORST OF IT IN THIS SITUATION!
Deadprez: All three men are down at the moment and the crowd is absolutely going crazy after witnessing the three man Tower of Doom Maneuver. If you can hear the crowd right now, they are chanting “This is Awesome”. They are impressed with all of the competitors in this match. They can’t wait to see what happens next.
Gavin Kirkland: Just to let everybody know, this match is pinfall or submission only. There will be no count outs in this match. This is why the referee didn’t start the count when all three were down. Now we can see that… LOOK PREZ! We finally see some movement in the ring right now and it’s from the man that took the least amount of damage from the Tower of Doom.
Deadprez: Major Scotty was still recovering from being thrown out of the ring earlier, but he made it in just enough time and now he’s the only one moving. Slowly but surely, he crawls over to Hans Grayson and goes for the cover!

Deadprez: LUCAS WAS PLAYING POSSUM WITH SCOTTY AND HE JUST DROPS SCOTTY WITH THE BLUEPRINT! LUCAS’ CUTTER FOUND ITS MARK AND SCOTTY GOES FACE FIRST INTO THE CANVAS AND NOW IT’S LUCAS WHO ROLLS SCOTTY OVER AND GOES FOR THE COVER!

Gavin Kirkland: FLAMING PUNCH! WHAT A SHOT BY HANS! THAT SUPERMAN PUNCH CAUGHT LUCAS RIGHT ON THE JAW AND LUCAS JUST COLLAPSES TO THE MAT! THAT COULD END THE MATCH RIGHT THERE, BUT HANS IS CHOOSING TO NOT GO FOR THE COVER!
Eve: Hans drags Lucas over to the corner and Hans is going to try once again for a high risk move and he climbs up to the top rope! I think that Hans is looking for the Grayson Splash. Lucas still hasn’t moved and the 450 SPLASH IS ON THE WAY–
Deadprez: SCOTTY IS HERE AGAIN! SCOTTY IS UP AND HE RUNS INTO THE TOP ROPE AND SENDS HANS OFF BALANCE AND LANDING ON THE TOP TURNBUCKLE! That has gotta hurt, but he won’t sprain an ankle where he landed.
Gavin Kirkland: No underhanded tactics here. You do what you have to do in order to win the match given the situation, sir! Hans leans forward and Scotty pulls him forward. Hans’ feet are sitting on the top rope as Scotty hooks both arms.
Eve: Scotty gets Hans positioned right where he wants him BEFORE JUMPING UP AND JUST SPIKES HANS ON THE TOP OF HIS HEAD WITH THAT DOUBLE ARMED DDT! SCOTTY CALLS THAT “TAPS” AND THE NAME IS FITTING! BEAUTIFUL MOVE BY SCOTTY CONNOR AS SCOTTY PULLS HANS TO THE CENTER OF THE RING AND HOOKS THE LEG!

Deadprez: If you ask me, this has been an amazing match between these three individuals. That’s exactly what you will see every time you tune into Showdown. Right now, Scotty is recovering from the shot to the back of the neck he received while Lucas pulls Scotty back to his feet.
Gavin Kirkland: Lucas kicks Scotty in the kneecap and takes Scotty down to his knees before he hits the ropes. Lucas comes back AND CATCHES SCOTTY BEHIND THE EAR WITH A SHINING WIZARD!
Deadprez: Scotty is down and Lucas wraps his arms around Scotty’s waist AND LUCAS WITH THE GATOR ROLL TRYING HIS BEST TO GET SCOTTY ALL DIZZY! IT MUST HAVE WORKED BECAUSE SCOTTY IS IN LALA LAND!
Eve: Lucas brings Scotty back to his feet and tries to get his arms around Scotty’s neck. LUCAS IS LOOKING FOR THE FALL AND PRAY REAR NAKED CHOKE–
Deadprez: SCOTTY WAS LIFTED UP BUT HE GETS HIS NECK FREE BEFORE WRAPPING HIS LEGS AROUND LUCAS AND TRYING TO ROLL HIM UP–
Gavin Kirkland: LUCAS BLOCKS IT AND PULLS SCOTTY BY THE LEG BACKWARDS AND BACK TO HIS FEET! LUCAS NOW GOES FOR A SCHOOLBOY! SCOTTY ROLLED UP, BUT HE GOT FREE BEFORE THE COUNT STARTS AND COUNTERS INTO AN ARMBAR!
Eve: SCOTTY LOOKING FOR THE SUBMISSION RIGHT THERE AND IF LUCAS TAPS, IT’S OVER, BUT WE WON’T GET TO FIND OUT BECAUSE HANS CATCHES SCOTTY WITH A PELE KICK BEHIND THE EAR!
Gavin Kirkland: HANS GOES BACK TO LUCAS AND HANS WITH A DDT ON LUCAS JOHNSON AND THAT TAKES HIM OUT FOR THE TIME BEING! NOW HANS HAS HIS ATTENTION FOCUSED ON SCOTTY CONNOR, WHO IS SLOWLY MAKING IT BACK TO HIS FEET! Hans got in position and as soon as Scotty got back to his feet, Hans went on the attack–
Deadprez: HANS WAS LOOKING FOR THAT FLAMING PUNCH AGAIN, BUT SCOTTY SAW IT COMING AND SCOTTY DUCKS DOWN AND SENDS HANS FLYING OVER THE TOP ROPE, BUT HANS LANDS ON THE APRON! Scotty turns around and blocks a forearm attempt by Hans before countering with one of his own before deciding to back up.
Eve: SCOTTY IS LOOKING TO CLOTHESLINE HANS OFF THE APRON, BUT HANS PULLS DOWN THE BOTTOM ROPE AND THAT SENDS SCOTTY TUMBLING OUT OF THE RING TO THE FLOOR! SCOTTY LANDED ON HIS FEET, BUT HANS FIRES A BOOT RIGHT INTO SCOTTY’S FACE AND THAT SENDS SCOTTY DOWN!
Gavin Kirkland: Now Lucas Johnson is back to his feet. Lucas runs to the ropes and tries to fire a forearm, BUT HANS BLOCKS IT AND KICKS LUCAS IN THE TEMPLE! That staggers Lucas back, but it gives Hans enough time to springboard and front flip into the ring. Hans runs at full speed–
Deadprez: BURNING SHOT LARIAT! WHAT A BUCKSHOT LARIAT FROM HANS GRAYSON AND LUCAS JOHNSON IS TURNED INSIDE OUT! WHAT A SHOT FROM GRAYSON AS LUCAS CRASHES TO THE MAT AND COULD BE OUT COLD! THE BURNING SHOT LARIAT COULD HAVE JUST BURNED AWAY LUCAS’ CHANCES OF VICTORY AS HANS GOES FOR THE COVER!

(The bell finishes ringing and “The Leaving Song Pt. II” starts playing again as Hans quickly rolls out of the ring to the floor.)
Gina Romano: Here is your winner! HANS GRAYSON!
Deadprez: What an amazing match with the rising stars of Showdown and EAW. This match could have gone either way, but at the end of the day it was Hans Grayson who snuck in the back door and picked up a huge victory here tonight.
(The referee follows Hans outside the ring and raises his arm in victory as the crowd continues to give him a mixed reaction.)
Eve: The crowd is still not sure how to react to this rookie. Some are on board and some are not feeling it yet because of the immediate praise from Kennedy Street. Anyways, Hans Grayson picks up the win. I am going to call that a small upset.
Gavin Kirkland: I can see why you would call it an upset, Eve. But when you think about it, Hans is undefeated in his EAW career. But you can’t take anything away from either Lucas or Scotty. Lucas had that veteran instinct that almost got him the win on more than one occasion. Scotty once again showed that age is just a number and that he is on the rise here on Showdown.

(The final shot shows Hans Grayson standing at the top of the entrance ramp while Lucas Johnson has just started moving as Scotty Connor looks up the entrance ramp at Hans, with a little bit of shock and frustration knowing that he was just a second too short of stopping the match as we cut to a commercial break.)
(Emerald green strobe lights center on Impact with his back turned in a Jesus pose. As the lyrics start in “M3tamorphosis” he gyrates forward with double fist pumps, engaging the crowd, whether it be positive or negative and makes his way down to the ring.)
Deadprez: It looks like we are going to be joined by our Answers World Champion, and after everything that happened last week, you can bet he’ll have plenty to say.
Eve: For sure… he has a huge target on his back at the moment and doesn’t seem to care.
Gavin Kirkland: And why should he care, he is on top of the world and as far as he is concerned that fact isn’t changing any time soon.
(Impact steps up onto the ring and enters it, walking over to the other side and picking up a mic. As the music fades, he finds himself in the center of the ring, looking out over the crowd. With a sly smirk, he starts to speak.)
Impact: You know something, there is a saying and it goes, you don’t know what you have until it’s gone. And right now, I think that is something that this company is suffering from. I don’t know how many times I’ve been told I’m past it. All the many times I have been told I should retire. And yet here I am, standing with the Answers World Championship draped over my shoulder and no sign of that changing. And why? Because there is NO ONE ready to take over the mantle and be ME. Look around the brand, who is there that has been more dominant than ME. Tell me one person, ONE, that has taken the bull by the horns and made this company great like I have. You can boo, you can jeer, and you can do whatever you wish. But the fact still remains, I am the best in the business, and the best in the business bar none. Hence, my feelings towards the Chamber where all of YOU think something is going to change.
(The crowd let their feelings known, but Impact just shrugs them off with a shake of the head and continues regardless.)
Impact: And you’ll be surprised when nothing does… but why? You are looking at the only ten times World Champion in EAW history, who has beaten everyone that there is to beat. You only have to look back to last year’s Elimination Chamber, where my great friend Kassidy Heart and I were in the final two to understand just how futile my opponent’s efforts will be. She isn’t in it this year, for whatever reason I cannot explain seeing as there are at least two people that shouldn’t be anywhere near that Chamber, I’ll name no names. But it wouldn’t have mattered anyway. I’ve beaten the rest of the participants with ease, some twice, and at Road to Redemption they enter MY Chamber, and you think they are going to be able to raise their game to MY levels? I have the edge on every attribute required and like I said before, this is MY bread and butter, my domain. Nothing is changing, this title is staying with me, and you all better get used to that. My year, my Chamber, my best… and there ain’t a damn thing anyone can do about it.
(Boos ring out again, but Impact doesn’t care.)
Deadprez: Impact laying down the law, confidence oozing from the man
Eve: I can’t fault him for that, he has been exactly as dominant as he says he has.
Deadprez: He’s excelled in the Chamber before, and will most definitely take some stopping.
Gavin Kirkland: But he’s only human, and can surely be stopped by someone. Or this is going to get very boring, very quickly.
Impact: But I get it, you all need hope. Hope that the big bad wolf is going to be slayed and you can all receive a lesser champion. It’s like Jake Smith playing this pathetic little games with the Cash in the Vault, like I give a crap about anything that man is up to. Why should I worry about him cashing in, when he is gotten himself into a situation where Kassidy is going to murder him. I don’t scare easily, and I sure as hell ain’t scared of a ghost, and that’s precisely what Jake Smith will be by the time Kassidy is through with him.
Voice: Oh will you shut the hell up old timer?
(All eyes turn to the stage, where Xander Payne walks out with Ryan Wilson, both of them with mics in hand, Impact rolling his eyes.)
Impact: An old timer that’s kicked your ass more times than I care to remember.
Ryan Wilson: You don’t remember because Alzheimer’s has kicked in.
Xander Payne: Yeah, good one Ryan.
(Ryan looks proud of himself, whilst Xander continues as they walk to the bottom of the ramp.)
Xander Payne: See, what you are forgetting, Impact, is Chambers are not a one man show, or at least they’re not this time. Are you really trying to say that last year you got to the final two without a little help?
Impact: That’s exactly what I am saying
Ryan Wilson: What you’re not getting though Champ, is no matter how good you are, it could still end up two on one, and I don’t care how good you are, you’re not upsetting those odds
Xander Payne: Damn straight. We’ll go through everyone, eliminate everyone and then face each other one on one, and then I’ll be the champion
Ryan Wilson: Err…what?
(Ryan looks at Xander but doesn’t have time to respond.)
Impact: I’ve been upsetting odds all my life… much like Xander Payne upsets everyone else when he eats everything off the food truck.
Eve: Ooo, low blow from Impact there
Xander Payne: Fat shaming Impact, I thought you better than that.
Impact: It’s difficult though Xander when it’s so damn easy.
Voice: What’s going on here then… apologies am I late to the party?
(A mixed reaction greets Jon Kelton as he steps out onto the stage.)
Deadprez: Looks like everyone is coming out to have their say.
Impact: Who let this Chump in?
Xander Payne: You decided who out of you and Donovan is being eliminated first by yours truly?
Jon Kelton: Yeah, I saw your petty little post on social media, but that’s what you have become. A party act.
Xander Payne: That’s better than being a nobody.
Jon Kelton: Perhaps, but what you don’t seem to realize is that you are looking at the wildcard.
Ryan Wilson: I don’t think Mr. Straight Edge has done a wild thing in his life.
Jon Kelton: Perhaps now, but I’ve beaten you on more than one occasion, and I don’t mind doing it again, to get to HIM.
(Jon points at Impact which gets a roar from the crowd.)
Impact: Me, I’m not that hard to find Jon. I’ll be the guy standing over five broken bodies in the Chamber having…
Voice: I have never heard so much rubbish in my life.
Voice: Good job we’re here man, this is getting out of hand.
(Roars break out as Donovan Duke and Adam Lucas step out together, both of them smiling at the reaction.)
Deadprez: They may not be Kennedy Street’s favorite people, but I think these fans appreciate the stance they are taking.
Donovan Duke: See, you talk about bonds and what not, but it’s obvious to us that Ryan is only there as hired help to get Xander what he wants. Adam and I are under no illusions, and we’ll rip it up at the beginning of the Chamber.
Impact: Guy can’t fight his wife, never mind me.
Adam Lucas: Yeah, standing up for what I believe is apparently a sin. But no matter. I did what I was told, I fought the match, and now I can focus squarely on you sunshine and your title.
Impact: And once again, like every other time you waste the opportunity, because you’re just not good enough. Never mind the fact you’re entering first.
Adam Lucas: Yeah, I am… but what a way to make a statement going all the way from start to finish.
Donovan Duke: Kennedy Street didn’t give us a punishment she gave us an opportunity.
Jon Kelton: Come on guys, you can’t seriously think you can start a Chamber and win it.
Xander Payne: That’s the first sensible thing you’ve said.
Adam Lucas: Yeah, we do, and one of us will.
Xander Payne: Yeah, we’ll why don’t Ryan and I walk back up this ramp and show you exactly why you won’t
Impact: Oh this is priceless. Throw me a chair someone, I gotta see this.
Jon Kelton: Yeah, and why you’re at it Xander, why don’t you show me too?
(Kelton surprisingly nods at Adam and Donovan, who nod back.)
Ryan Wilson: Never mind Road to Redemption, let’s do this. RIGHT NOW!!!
(Xander and Ryan start to walk back up the ramp, Adam, Donovan and Jon preparing to fight. To boos from the crowd officials appear from the back, standing in between the five men.)
Eve: Officials out here to stop them fighting, Kennedy Street not wanting her main event messed up.
(The fans start a ‘let them fight’ chant and it looks for a moment like all-out war is going to start, the boos intensifying.)
Deadprez: This is bedlam… what the…
(The boos stop, and suddenly the crowd goes absolutely bananas with cheers, no one really sure what is going on until Jake Smith appears through the crowd, sneaking up on Impact.)
Gavin Kirkland: Jake Smith is here… WATCH OUT IMPACT!!!
(Jake slides under the bottom rope, and could if he wanted to clock Impact with the briefcase. Finally Impact cottons on, and with a start, jumps out the ring and stands there in total shock, Jake grinning from ear to ear, the briefcase in one hand as he lifts the other with the smallest of gaps between his thumb and forefinger.)
Eve: Jake showing that he could have had Impact again but chose not to, playing games with the Answers World Champion.
Deadprez: But is it a game he can win?
Gavin Kirkland: He can… but can he get past Kassidy first, and if he does will there be anything left?
(Back in the ring, Impact looks on furious, as Jake Smith, still smiling, lifts the briefcase to a huge ovation as the camera cuts to an ad for Road to Redemption.)
(Coming back from commercial break, Gina Romano stands in the ring for the next match.)
Gina Romano: The following contest has a 20 minutes time limit and is scheduled FOR!

Deadprez: Lost to Haruka Kashimashi on Voltage last week, Abel is looking to bounce back in a major way against an opponent who has been on the rise as of late.
Gavin Kirkland: Atami is as tough as they come, but he needs to rake in results on a more regular basis if he wants to be considered a threat. Tonight is an opportunity to make a mark.
( ‘Mr. Brightside’ by The Killers plays over the sound system followed by cheers from the crowd as the Rebellious one makes her way to the ring. )
Gina Romano: AAAAAAANNNNNND HIS OPPONENT! From Detroit, Michigan! Weighing in at 117 pounds! She is The Motor City Machine Gun: LEXIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Deadprez: Lexi has every reason to be happy this week having won against Kalie Grace last week on this very show!
Gavin Kirkland: She is gathering wind in her sail for the past little while, a victory tonight would continue to get her going in the right direction ahead of Road to Redemption!
( Ding! Ding! Ding! )
Deadprez: AND HERE WE GO! THIS MATCH IS OFFICIALLY UNDERWAY! Both opponents are moving to the center of the ring, Abel looking down upon Lexi with a grin but she has a smile of her own letting him know she ain’t intimidated at all. She’s standing up to him as much in her face as she can AND SHE THROWS THE FIRST BLOW!
Gavin Kirkland: Atami holds his jaw and he looks mad as he tries to clothesline her but she ducks under his hard going into the ropes with speed! She goes under a back elbow thrown by Abel and she spins to face him AND HE BRINGS HER DOWN WITH A CLOTHESLINE! She gets up and Abel goes to the ropes. She hits the deck and he hops over her BUT SHE TAKES HIM DOWN WITH A HURRICANRANA!!
Eve: He is quick to get up and she tries for a clothesline of her own but he ducked it, now behind her she gets lifted but manages to wiggle enough and get out of his grasp AND GETS A FEW ELBOWS TO THE SIDE OF ATAMI’S FACE BEFORE GOING TO HER FEET! Oblique kick by Lexi forcing Atami down to a knee she goes for a superkick but Abel caught her foot twisting it and forcing her down BUT SHE MANAGES TO STRIKE HIM WITH HER FREE FOOT WITH KIND OF A PELE KICK FROM THE GROUND!
Deadprez: Abel rolls outside of the ring, Antonne quickly going to give him some words of encouragement as Lexi is looking down on them both. Abel, she is running towards him as he gets to the apron STUNNING LEXI WITH A KNEE TO HER FACE AS SHE WAS GOING FOR A SUICIDE DIVE!! Lexi is hanging on the middle rope folded in half! AND HE QUICKLY GOES FOR A DDT FROM THE OUTSIDE APRON!!! LEXI CRUMBLES DOWN ON THE OUTSIDE FLOOR SHE MIGHT BE OUT COLD!!
Gavin Kirkland: The crowd doesn’t appreciate that at all and Abel doesn’t look like he gives a damn. Antonne yells at the crowd that they don’t know good wrestling when they see it and that this is good wrestling! Lexi is slow to get back to her knees but Abel doesn’t want to wait for her to recover and she’s tossed inside the ring AFTER he threw a knee to her and sent her against the protective guard rail surrounding the ring!
Eve: Abel holds Lexi by the hair, whipping her against a corner she still looks stunned. He pushes her against the corner, THROWING A HARD CHOP TO HER CHEST … AND IT SEEMS TO WAKE LEXI UP!!!
Deadprez: QUICKLY SHE SPINS ATAMI AROUND AND THROWS A SERIES OF SLAPS AND CHOPS WE HEAR THEM FROM ALL OVER THE ARENA AND THE CROWD LOVES IT!! But a knee to the midsection stops her from pursuing as Abel grabs her by the next AND SENDS HER FLYING WITH A BIEL THROW!!!! HOLY GUACAMOLE!!!!
Gavin Kirkland: What force into that throw from Atami and Lexi is dazed seated on her ass in the middle of the ring. Abel rushes in going for a running knee but Lexi goes flat on the ground evading some further pain as she manages to trip Abel who LANDS ON THE SECOND ROPE! Lexi trying to shake the cobwebs and wake up suddenly goes to the ropes and rushes to Abel JUMPING ON HIM!! She then quickly grabs the top rope AND THEN HOPS UP AND DOWN ON ABEL’S BACK CHOKING HIM AGAINST THE SECOND ROPE!
Eve: The official is warning her to stop and she waits after a few moments before she could get counted out by the referee. She gets away from Abel with a back flip and a bow much to the enjoyment of the crowd but Antonne doesn’t seem pleased and he’s arguing with the referee. Abel is getting up, looking rather irate as he charges Lexi who ducks quickly being the fastest of the two, and goes under a few of the heavy-looking swings Atami is trying to connect upon her. Lexi almost looks like she is having fun dodging rolling ducking and evading BUT SHE GETS CLIPPED EVENTUALLY AND DOWN SHE GOES!
Deadprez: Quick clinch by Abel switched up with a wristlock and then moves to hold Lexi from behind FORCING HER WITH A HARSH MMA-STYLE TAKEDOWN! Atami throws a few elbows to the back and to the head of Lexi who can’t block those but the official is quick to stop Atami before he can do any further damage. He steps away a short moment before going for a falling knee which connects! He forces Lexi on her back before going half-guard and throwing a series of elbow strikes.
Gavin Kirkland: She’s blocking how she can but most of those mounted punches manage to land! SHE TRIES FOR A KIMURA LOCK BY GRABBING ONE OF THE ARMS OF ATAMI BUT HE SHRUGS HER AWAY! It’s a good thing too because this could’ve spelled trouble for the big man! A HEADBUTT FROM OUT OF NOWHERE BY ABLE GETS LEXI DOWN AND FLAT ON HER BACK! He goes vertical and lands a perfect standing moonsault followed by a cover!

Gavin Kirkland: Lexi kicks out quickly! Atami looks at the official who confirms the one count. He shrugs before moving to put some hurt on Lexi through some joint manipulation and he ain’t going easy on her either! Lexi looks in pain as the official checks up on her but she says she ain’t giving up and she gets brought up to her feet by Atami who basically controls her movements at the moment. ROUNDHOUSE KICK BY ATAMI TAKING DOWN LEXI!
Eve: AND A PENALTY KICK BY ABEL HITS ON LEXI!! A little bit of the World Cup right here out of that kick that brought Lexi down. She gets forced to her feet before getting swung in a neck breaker landing hard on the ground! Abel continues the assault with a repeated set of knee drops quickly executed in the ribs of his smaller opponent.
Deadprez: Lexi is trying to roll outside of the ring but Abel grabs her by the hair and pulls her back in AND INTO AN O’CONNOR ROLL GERMAN SUPLEX! He follows it up with a snap tiger suplex! Lexi looks in a bad way now as she gets picked up by Atami WHO SLAMS HER DOWN WITH A PUMPHANDLE SLAM!!
Gavin Kirkland: Atami with powerful moves one after the other he forces Lexi to get to her feet before throwing a knee to her midsection. Grabbing her by the side HE DRILLS HER WITH A GUTWRENCH POWERBOMB!! Lexi is in trouble and Atami is thinking about going up top!
Eve: Indeed! Climbing atop the nearest corner he waits for Lexi to get back to her feet BEFORE KNOCKING HER DOWN WITH A MISSILE DROPKICK! Abel is still on the advantage as he grabs hold of Lexi and swings her for a northern lights suplex! She crumbles in the center of the ring and he is prone in a corner observing her in a hurt state and a smirk on his face.
Deadprez: He seems to enjoy himself as he gets up and gets ready for a superkick HE APPLIES AS SOON AS LEXI TURNS TO FACE HIM! DOWN SHE GOES AGAIN AND HE TRIES FOR A COVER!!

Deadprez: Lexi denies him victory with a kick out!
Gavin Kirkland: How was she able to kick out of those moves? AND THEN SHE GETS GERMAN SUPLEXED FOR HER EFFORT! AND A SECOND TIME!! AND A THIRD WHICH HE RELEASES NEAR A CORNER SO SHE SLAMS AGAINST THE TURNBUCKLES!! The aggressivity of Abel Atami is scary tonight.
Eve: Atami sighs, almost huffing at the official who reminds him he’s just doing his job, and gets out of his way as the big guy grabs a tight grip of Lexi’s hair before sending her down with a ripcord lariat! He goes to the ropes, SPRINGBOARD LEGDROP RIGHT ON HER NECK WITH ONE OF THEM MASSIVE TREE TRUNK-LIKE LEGS!
Deadprez: Lexi is holding her neck seems like she might be having trouble breathing but Atami doesn’t give a hoot! He looks set to give her the business and make her suffer ahead of her opportunity at Road to Redemption! Double ax handle to the back of Lexi who remains down on the ground before getting picked up and Irish whipped into a corner! Abel charges at her with the intent to hurt BUT LEXI LIFTS HER FEET UP KICKING HIM IN THE FACE!
Deadprez: Lexi is now on the offensive against Atami who’s on a knee SHE GOES FOR A BACKSPIN KICK THAT CONNECTS TO THE SIDE OF ABEL’S HEAD! The man rolls to the outside looking to recover as he’s holding his head under the care of his manager BUT SHE MOVES OUT OF THE WAY JUST BEFORE SHE COULD SUFFER THE SUICIDE DIVE DONE BY LEXI WHO LANDS ATOP OF HER OPPONENT! The crowd is loving this from Lexi who quickly gets up and moves Atami along with her swinging him for a snap suplex on the outside floor!
Gavin Kirkland: She leans against the barricade, mingling with a fan while looking at Abel who tries to get up. She then suddenly goes on top of the railing what is she trying to pull? A HURRICANRANA FROM THE TOP OF THE BARRICADE TAKES DOWN ABEL ONCE AGAIN!
Eve: She looks down at him as he is moving to his knees. She throws in some stiff-looking MMA kicks to his chest keeping him down. He leans forward and she hops on his back SENDING HIM UPSIDE DOWN WITH A SUNSET FLIP POWERBOMB!!!!!!!!! The official warns them both and is about to start counting them out but Lexi moves the big man inside the ring and she follows shortly after. Abel is trying to get to his feet AND GETS TAKEN DOWN WITH A ROUNDHOUSE KICK TO THE BACK OF THE HEAD!!
Deadprez: AND LEXI FOLLOWS UP WITH A CROSSFACE!!! SHE’S TRYING TO END THIS RIGHT NOW WITH A SUBMISSION MANEUVER!!! ABEL IS TRYING TO FIGHT THE PAIN HE HAS AN ARM RAISED IN THE AIR ALREADY!! THE HAND IS SHAKING!! LEXI IS PULLING BACK WITH AS MUCH FORCE AS SHE CAN MUSTER AND ABEL IS CLAWING HIS WAY TOWARD THE ROPES! SHE CAN’T STOP HIM HE IS TOO STRONG AND HE MANAGES TO GRAB HOLD OF THE NEAREST BOTTOM ROPE! The referee orders her to let go and she does too reluctantly.
Gavin Kirkland: Good opportunity missed by Lexi she could’ve ended that match with style forcing Atami to submit with the crossface. She drives an elbow to the spine of Atami before forcing him to get up, whipping him into the ropes he tries to turn the tables with a shoulder block BUT SHE COUNTERS WITH SLING BLADE! Down goes Abel once more but he is rather quick to get up ONLY TO BE BROUGHT DOWN WITH A BACKSTABBER!!!! LEXI GOES FOR A COVER!!

Gavin Kirkland: And Atami lifts the shoulder up! A good string of offense by Lexi as she battles a bigger and stronger man than her. She gets him to the ropes again, dashes to the opposite side, AND POUNCES ON HIM WITH THE LOU THESZ PRESS!!! SHE THROWS PUNCH AFTER PUNCH AT A DOWNED ATAMI WHO ENDS UP SHOVING HER AWAY DUE TO HIS SHEER STRENGTH! She is quickly up to her feet, quicker than him as she goes to the ropes AND BRINGS HIM DOWN WITH A RUNNING BULLDOG!
Eve: She doesn’t seem to be done just jet as she moves to a vertical base. Abel follows but she throws a boot to the midsection AND DOWN GOES ABEL WITH A PENDULUM DDT!!! Back to her feet and with the crowd behind her Lexi is looking for her next move and she looks towards a corner against which she whips Atami, she runs behind him, holding onto his back AND DOING A REVERSE MONKEY FLIP THAT SENDS HIM TO THE CENTER OF THE RING!
Deadprez: Surprising move from Lexi who is showing her her potential more and more! Abel is still on the ground as she goes to the corner she propelled the big man from and hops on the top corner. She is sizing Abel who is getting up but has no idea where she is, she waits that he gets closer his back turned to her but he eventually turns AND GETS A LOAD OF LEXI ALL OF HER WEIGHT DOWN ON HIM WITH A CROSSBODY THAT SHE CONVERTS INTO A PINFALL!!

Gavin Kirkland: Lexi looks a wee bit annoyed that she didn’t manage to put Abel away as she quickly goes to the ropes and goes for a SHOTGUN DROPKICK ON ATAMI WHO WAS JUST SITTING DOWN! She goes to the ropes again AND DRIVES A KNEE RIGHT TO HIS FACE!!!
Eve: Lexi is on the attack quickly wondering what move to do next but she throws her weight into a well-placed LIGHTS OUT!! HER SIGNATURE SUPERKICK CONNECTS TO ATAMI’S JAW!!! He’s dazed and on his knees, she goes to the ropes jumping for a hurricanrana BUT GETS SLAMMED DOWN IN A POWERBOMB!! WHAT A REVERSAL BY ATAMI WHO CAN FINALLY CATCH A BREAK!
Deadprez: Antonne yells at his client to go for the kill and finish off Lexi and Abel is trying to as he gets up and forces Lexi along. HE GOES FOR A FISHERMAN DRIVER THAT DRILLS LEXI TO THE FLOOR!! COVER BY ATAMI!!

Deadprez: LEXI KICKS OUT!!! HOW DID SHE DO THAT??
Gavin Kirkland: Atami looks frustrated now as he then prepares for One Door Opens the Gotch Style Piledriver one of his finishing moves BUT LEXI SLIPS FROM HIS GRASP AND SHE BRINGS THE BIG MAN DOWN WITH A RESOUNDING DDT WHEN HE SPUN AROUND TO FACE HER!! This is an opportunity for Lexi who quickly goes up the top of the nearest corner! Are we going to see the Heart Stopper? YES, WE DO!! THE ELEVATED MOONSAULT FROM THE TOP ROPE CONNECTS TO ATAMI!! COVER BY LEXI!!

Gavin Kirkland: And now it’s Atami’s turn to show heart and resiliency by kicking out of that! Lexi now is looking to end this she’s calling for one of her finishing manoeuvers! She dashes towards Abel who tries for a big boot to surprise his opponent but she ducks low and kicks him in the midsection! He leans forward… Hey wait a minute what’s going on outside the ring?

( ‘Bad Man’ by Polo G plays over the sound system of Thong Nhat Stadium as Abel gets to his feet shortly before the referee raises his lead arm to confirm the victory! Antonne goes inside the ring to celebrate. )
Gina Romano: Ladies and Gentlemen the winner of this bout: ABEL ATAMIIIIIII !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Deadprez: What an incredible performance by both individuals tonight! Both Abel and Lexi had a few chances to bring home victory but tonight the honor goes to Abel Atami ! Congratulations!
Gavin Kirkland: I can’t help but wonder if Lexi would’ve won had she not stopped just a few seconds to wonder why is Mary S. Atlas doing at ringside. She had the match bagged but that short moment of hesitation cost her big time!
( The last shot is of Abel near the backstage entrance looking one last time at his defeated opponent who is getting checked in by Mary. Lexi doesn’t look happy at all and the two ladies are arguing. Lexi suddenly shoves Mary away and slips outside of the ring massively frustrated before the camera transitions to a commercial break.)
(The camera returns to ringside, but after a few moments of silence, “Partition (Smearcase Trap Remix)” by Beyoncé starts to play as Kassidy Heart enters the arena alone. The crowd is giving Kass overwhelming boos for just appearing, but she doesn’t care. She has a look of strong anger on her face as she heads to the ring.)
Gina Romano: Ladies and gentlemen! Please welcome to the ring, “THE MAULER” KASSIDY HEART!
Deadprez: Welcome back to Showdown as we see Kassidy Heart coming down to the ring with a purpose. No provocative entrance. No Mauler Mask. She is strictly business tonight.
Eve: Last week, she was laid out by Jake Smith after Jake’s challenge for a match at Road to Redemption was accepted. Kassidy picked the Last Person Standing Stipulation. Jake accepted the terms. Now these two are going to beat the tar out of each other.
Gavin Kirkland: That’s at Road to Redemption and that will be a very hard hitting match. Tonight, Kassidy no doubt has a lot on her mind and she is going to let everyone hear it.
(Kassidy walks over to Gina Romano and grabs a microphone before walking into the ring. Kassidy stands right in the center of the ring as her entrance music fades off. She is still not happy and she has a lot to say.)
Kassidy Heart: You know what? I’ve heard the snickers and I’ve seen what all you stupid losers wrote on social media about what happened last week. I’m glad you all got your laughs in because I am absolutely LIVID!
(You can almost see a vein popping out of Kassidy’s head with how angry she is, but she manages to reign in her temper and take a breath before continuing.)
Kassidy Heart: Well how else would you expect me to feel after what happened after Impact’s match last week and especially after that little stunt Jake Smith pulled against me. He’s lucky that I have managed to control myself this long, because if I haven’t, I would have already rang his [BLEEP] neck.
Deadprez: Oh we apologize, ladies and gentlemen. We knew that tensions were going to run high right now between Kassidy and Jake. At least we can say that she is showing some control by just letting one word slip.
Kassidy Heart: Since we’re already on the topic, how about we continue talking about Mr. Jake Smith. Mr. Cash in the Vault. The man who is all but a guarantee to become a World Champion for the first time in his career. Many people have applauded Jake for reaching this point in his career…
(Kassidy stops talking for a moment and looks directly at the camera in the ring before she continues talking.)
Kassidy Heart: BUT I’M NOT ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE! You might have other people singing your praises thanks to your win at Pain for Pride, but you sure as heck won’t be hearing any of that blatant garbage from me. Do you want to know what I really think about you, Jake? As if it wasn’t already obvious. You think you are just three seconds away from finally reaching the top of the mountain. A place that you honestly believe that you deserve to be.
Kassidy Heart: But you don’t deserve it. You see, pe—
(The crowd starts to loudly boo Kassidy that pretty much drains out her voice. She looks at the crowd before rolling her eyes and continuing.)
Kassidy Heart: You guys only boo me because you relate to Jake Smith and that is NOT a compliment. You see, people, Jake Smith was always a Minor League Player. Jake Smith has always been considered a AAAA Star Player, but never really considered a heavy hitter within the Major Leagues that is Elite Answers Wrestling. Better yet, since we are working with Disney, this little small fry should skip trying to make it to the Major League and go back to his day job working the theme park and get his spot back at the “It’s a Small World Ride”.
Eve: Now that was a little uncalled for. But leave it to “The Mauler” to take cheap shots in any way he can. Jake Smith is a very formidable competitor.
Kassidy Heart: And now this little butterball has the means at his disposal to become a World Champion here in Elite Answers Wrestling and it absolutely makes me sick. Then again, every horrible gray cloud has a silver lining because we all know how it’s going to unfold when PeeWee decides to cash-in in Cash in the Vault contract.
(Kassidy once again motions for the camera to get right in front of her. The amusement of the previous jokes is gone from her face as her stoic look returns as she looks again into the camera.)
Kassidy Heart: Jake. Hey, Mighty Mouse. I know you are back there and I want you to get up onto a step stool to get up close to a monitor and listen to what I have to say. Jake. When you cash in your contract, you are going to lose. You are going to screw up this opportunity like you have with every other opportunity you’ve been handed in your career.
Kassidy Heart: You screwed up your Insurgency group. You’ve had multiple chances in the past to become World Champion and you’ve screwed those up time and time again. So why should this be any different? Jake Smith is nothing more than a perennial choke artist who wants to so badly grab that brass ring and become the superstar he believes he is, but somehow, he manages to lose his footing on that top rung of the ladder of success and go crashing right back down to the bottom. Jake, you call yourself the Face of Showdown, but we all know that’s a bunch of crap.
Kassidy Heart: There’s only two true stars that Showdown really has. You ugly losers are being blessed with the presence and grace of one of them right now. The other? Of course, the other is our Answers World Champion. That’s right! Myself and Impact are the only real stars that Showdown has on their brand. The rest of the roster are nothing more than choke artists and wannabes. Each and every one of them have screwed up more than once in their pathetic careers. As for me and Impact? We always knock it out of the park.
Gavin Kirkland: No lack of confidence being shown from Kassidy Heart. The crowd is still booing The Mauler and she is just absorbing the hate right now. She thinks that herself and Impact rule Showdown. If you don’t believe it, just ask her. She’ll tell you. Then she’ll punch you in the face.
Kassidy Heart: You guys are still booing me because you hate to admit that for a year. I have carried the entire Showdown roster and program on my back. That all started when I made history at King of Elite last year when I became the first and ONLY woman to win the King of Elite tournament.
Kassidy Heart: What about when I beat the crap out of Jack Ripley and won the Answers World Championship and started my legendary and record setting reign as Answers World Champion. Have you guys forgotten about that?
Deadprez: I don’t think anybody has forgotten about Kass’ reign as champion. She held the Answers World Champion for almost a year and in the process recorded the longest Answers World Championship reign in history.
Kassidy Heart: What about all the times I defended the Answers World Championship? Remember? Against the likes of Conseula Rose Ava, who hasn’t been seen in the ring ever since. How about when I crippled Jamie O’ Hara at Pain for Pride. How about when I defeated Jake Smith’s former little buddy Limmy Mona_han? Oh that was great now that I think about it. Of course who could forget me successfully retaining my title last year at Road to Redemption inside the Extreme Elimination Chamber?
Eve: Like her or hate her, you have to admit the last two years have almost belonged to Kassidy Heart. I believe she was only defeated three times last season. She was unstoppable and now that she has aligned herself with Impact, it’s twice the danger.
Kassidy Heart: You get it, Jake? You get it, people? That’s why I can consider myself a threat in any situation I put myself in. That’s why I am a threat to any championship I so desire. That’s why I can call myself the very best and everybody knows that it’s only a matter of time before Kassidy Heart can call herself a World Champion again.
(Before Kass can continue, “WAR” by grandson starts to play and the crowd goes absolutely crazy when Mr. Cash in the Vault, Jake Smith enters the arena with a microphone in one hand and the Cash in the Vault briefcase in the other as he casually walks to the ring.)
Deadprez: This is going to be good. Here comes Jake Smith and there is no doubt that Jake has listened to every word Kass has said.
Gavin Kirkland: We can also see that Jake has a microphone in hand, so it’s easy to see that he has something to say in return and I don’t blame him. Let’s see what he has to say.
(Jake enters the ring and he has his eyes carefully on Kass making sure she doesn’t try anything funny. He gets face to face with Kassidy as his entrance music fades off.)
Jake Smith: Do you feel better now, Kass? Do you feel better getting all that anger off your chest talking about me? You certainly enjoy talking trash whenever someone isn’t here to defend themself. But I’m here now.
Jake Smith: You might be a pain, but even I can be a big enough person to admit that many of the things you said are right. Throughout my EAW career, I have failed time and time again with big time opportunities.
Jake Smith: But I kept getting right back up each time I got knocked down on my butt and all that persistence has helped me earn the Cash in the Vault briefcase.
(Kassidy rolls her eyes because she believes Jake is starting to sound like a moron, but she allows him to keep talking.)
Jake Smith: You have tried to find any reason to make people believe that I don’t deserve what I have or what I am about to get. That’s where you are wrong. I see through your lies and so do the fans. I am more than ready to take my spot at the very top of the mountain. Let me tell you right now that absolutely NOBODY is going to get in my way. Not even YOU, Kassidy. At Road to Redemption, only one person will be the last person standing and that will be ME!
(Kassidy is amused and she starts laughing off what Jake had to say. Jake is glaring at Kassidy, but that doesn’t last long as Kassidy has pulled something out of her pocket…)
(SPRAY!)
Eve: WHAT DID KASSIDY JUST DO? SHE JUST SPRAYED JAKE SMITH IN THE EYES AND HE IS BLINDED! WHAT DID KASS SPRAY IN JAKE’S FACE!
(Kass takes an opportunity to wave the small bottle in Jake’s face, knowing that he can’t see it.)
Gavin Kirkland: THAT IS PEPPER SPRAY! Kassidy Heart sprayed pepper spray in Jake’s eyes. Kassidy using any means necessary to get the one up on Jake Smith. Kassidy just clotheslined Jake down and she is just unloading on Jake. Straight right hands into the skull of Jake. Where are the refs? Where is security?
Deadprez: I don’t know, but Kassidy is making Jake pay for everything he did last week. She pulls Jake up and just SLAMS him down on the mat. She looks around and gets a glimpse of something that puts an evil grin on her face.
Gavin Kirkland: She has the Cash in the Vault briefcase! Kassidy is waiting for Jake to get back to his feet. He can’t see thanks to the pepper, but he is back up. Unfortunately, Jake has no idea what is about to happen–
(WHACK!)
Eve: KASSIDY JUST CLOBBERED JAKE SMITH IN THE HEAD WITH THE BRIEFCASE! HE DIDN’T SEE IT COMING AND JAKE IS OUT COLD! NOW KASSIDY IS STANDING OVER JAKE IN VICTORY BEFORE PICKING UP A MIC AND BENDING DOWN TO JAKE’S FACE!
Kassidy Heart: I AM THE LAST WOMAN STANDING!
(Kassidy throws the microphone down on Jake and looks down at Jake with disgust as she leaves the ring.)
Deadprez: Statement made by Kassidy Heart. Last week, Kass was taken out and now Jake has. When Jake comes to, you gotta believe that Jake is going to be angry. Things are only going to heat up from now until Road to Redemption. Jake Smith. Kassidy Heart. Last Person Standing. They are going to beat the hello operator out of each other. This is going to be good.
(The final shot shows Kassidy Heart walking up the entrance ramp, completely ignoring Jake in the ring. A couple of refs have come down to help Jake as the camera cuts elsewhere.)
( The scene fades back to the show as Gina Romano stands in the middle of the ring, ready to announce an upcoming match. )
Gina Romano: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome… the special guest referee of this tag team match!… Veena Adams!
( ‘7 Rings’ by Ariana Grande plays through the speakers into a chorus of boo as Veena Adams, in her referee gear, makes her way down to the ring. Ignoring the crowd and the atmosphere, literally everything as much as how careless she is. )

Annie Lennox & Dave Stewart) replaces her theme music. Harper Lee follows Holly from behind then both women enter the ring. )

( Holly signals Harper that she’s going to kick this off as Harper moves down to the apron and lets Holly do her thing. ‘Manners’ by BAND-MAID kicks in and replaces Harper’s theme music as Alex Myers walks out looking like they don’t really like the match, but are still ready to win. Alex keeps walking without caring whenever his tag team partner is going to come out then ‘Blue World’ by Mac Miller replaces Alex’s theme music as Jack Ripley followed him, looking more displeased than Alex, because he is the one who doesn’t want it in the slightest. He doesn’t love anything about this competition and it’s like he’s being forced to come to work. Jack keeps moving and ignoring all three elitists then he jumps to the apron, sits and still doesn’t seem to care about the match while Alex prepares to fight. )
Gina Romano: THEIR OPPONENTS… FIRST, FROM AUCKLAND, NEW ZEALAND!… WEIGHING IN AT 180 POUNDS!… ‘GUARDIAN ANGEL’, ALEX MYERS!… AND THEIR PARTNER, FROM LAS VEGAS, NEVADA!… WEIGHING IN AT 205 POUNDS!… ‘STRAIGHT SHOOTER’ !… JACK RIPLEY!
Gavin Kirkland: Aw, look at this lame dude. It’s someone who says he doesn’t care about this contest in the slightest, but I bet he’s more scared about losing!
Eve: I’m just going to say what I heard from him — I think it’s right that he won’t gain anything from this match so it’s no surprise he lets Alex do the work. However, surely in the end, I believe Jack will do something for his team to get through this match.

( The match starts as Alex is just about to kick things off against their legal opponent, Holly Arrow, but suddenly gets interrupted by Jack who yells at him. )

Gavin Kirkland: HERE SHE IS, MY QUEEN! :blessed: HOLLY COMES FROM BEHIND AND QUICKLY TAKES ALEX DOWN FROM BEHIND WITH A FOREARM SMASH! Alex falls and my favorite One Piece female character picks her back to both feet, and tosses Alex down to the ropes… Alex bounces off the ropes and Holly tries to catch them with a Shoot kick but they slide under. Alex rolls back to their feet, pulls Holly by her hair, and an Inverted DDT by Alex Myers!
Deadprez: Alex backs away to the corner, waiting for Holly to return to both feet. Holly rises to both feet and Alex charges in with a Shinning Wizar- NO, HOLLY POPS THEM UP TO THEIR AIR AND CATCHES THEM WITH A SICKENING PALM STRIKE!
Eve: Alex falls down to the ground. Holly grabs them by their wrist and picks them up immediately… pulls them in and plants them to the ground with a quick DDT! Alex’s head lands on the ground in the worst way they could ever do before rolling down over to their team’s corner. Now Alex-

Jack Ripley: *shakes his head in disappointment and sighs*

Gavin Kirkland: Well seems like Jack entirely ignores them and then enters the ring immediately. Man, poor Alex. Alex isn’t going to do anything yet but roll underneath the bottom rope and then sit and watch the match. Jack runs in and throws a punch at Holly but Holly ducks under. Holly moves in and tries to do more damage but Jack quickly catches her with a back kick to the gut, following with a chop right across her boo- I mean chest!
Deadprez: Jack grabs her and tosses her all the way down to the ropes behind her. Holly bounces off the ropes. Jack leaps off the mat and catches her with a Hurricanra- Oh look at the power of our big girl Holly! Holly holds Jack in a powerbomb position and she lets him go.
Eve: Jack lands on both feet, and Holly quickly strikes Jack with a Spinning Gut Kick! Jack falls to both knees before Holly runs in and knocks him down for good with an Inazuma Leg Lariat in combination!
Gavin Kirkland: Snake Jack falls to the ground before my little princess drags him over to her team’s corner to make a tag…

Gavin Kirkland: Tag is made and Harper is now a legal competitor. Harper backs away from her corner… runs in, and cleans Jack’s face with a beautiful corner hesitation dropkick! Jack automatically walks out of his corner without realizing what’s happening with the world today. Harper quickly pushes herself off the mat, sprints all the way down to the ropes, rebounds off them then hooks Jack by his neck, bringing him down to the canvas with a Slingblade!
Deadprez: Seems like Alex trying to get a tag from Jack as much as the situation is getting worse for their team here.
Alex Myers (Off-Mic): Tag me, Jack! I know you hate it but just do it, you can’t hang around anymore!
( Jack slowly gets back to both knees. )
Jack Ripley (Off-Mic): JUST SHUT U-
Eve: A BRUTAL BICYCLE KNEE STRIKE TO THE BACK OF HIS HEAD FROM HARPER LEE! Jack falls right back down to the ground by her knee. Harper quickly picks Jack back to both feet, hooks under his shoulders and a Snap Dragon Suplex drops Jack to the ground!
Gavin Kirkland: Jack is bound by Harper’s arms, but Jack realizes what he is going through before he begins to writhe to prevent Harper from using the move, Jack quickly pulls his arms out before elbowing Harper’s head with all his might! Jack dashes down to Alex who is reaching their hand out then makes a tag!
( TAG! )
Deadprez: Guardian Angel makes their way to the ring and quickly sends Harper down to the floor with a massive Shotgun Dropkick! Alex pushes themselves to their feet before rushing over to Holly and sending her off the apron with a running dropkick! Holly falls to both feet and tries to capitalize herself…. ALEX QUICKLY JUMPS OVER ALL THE THREE ROPES AND A TOPE CON HILO TAKES HOLLY DOWN TO THE CONCRETE FLOOR!
Eve: Alex pushes themselves back to their feet and rolls back inside the ring as Harper recovers. They pick her up and hurriedly lift Harper up then turn to look at Jack.
Alex Myers (Off-Mic): Jack! Come here!
Jack Ripley (Off-Mic): :francis: Do it yourself!
Alex Myers (Off-Mic): Oh Jesus, just stop whining and do something helpful, you hobgoblin-looking uncultured swine.
Jack Ripley (Off-Mic): Excuse me?
Alex Myers (Off-Mic): I DO NOT CARE! JUST COME AND HELP!
Jack Ripley (Off-Mic): For Christ’s sake— FINE!
Deadprez: They spin Harper around and a Gamengiri by Alex Myers right across her face! Jack from behind with a chop to the back of Harper’s head! A stunning Spanish Fly from the front, taking Harper down, credits to Alex! They proceed to pick Harper up and throw her to Jack…. A belly-to-belly Suplex, finishing her off! I think they can ‘Co-Exist’ here!
Jack Ripley & Alex Myers (Off-Mic): *Look at Deadprez* No!
Deadprez: Oh sorry.
Eve: Jack drops down into a cover and Alex tries to block the way, not letting Holly rescue her tag team partner. Veena Adams starts to count!
Veena Adams (Off-Mic): ONE!…..
Veena Adams (Off-Mic): TWO!!!!…
Gavin Kirkland: Holly slides back inside the ropes under Alex’s legs, jumping in to break a pin just in time! Alex quickly pulls her back to both feet by her hair and tosses her down to the corner behind them. Alex rushes in at full speed… Holly pops them up and they land both feet on the apron. Alex throws a punch but Holly blocks and a palm strike goes right upon Alex’s jaw! Alex falls from the apron before collapsing to the ground.
Deadprez: Holly takes her focus back inside the ring and Jack starts getting back to his feet. Holly runs into takedown Jack but Jack quickly scoops her up into the air with a Back Body Drop! Holly’s down before rolling underneath the bottom rope and resting on the apron. Jack turns to look and HARPER CUTS JACK IN HALF WITH A SURPRISED SLINGSHOT SPEAR!
Eve: Jack struggles to get back to his feet as he chokes from the blow and Harper prepares to strike Jack again from a corner. Harper swiftly rushes from the corner… but Jack falls first and Harper suddenly stops.
Harper Lee: :cmon:
Gavin Kirkland: Harper walks down to Jack… but Jack immediately brings her to her knees before smashing her head in with a kick. Jack rushes up after being able to fool Harper before he grabs her head and spikes her head to the ground with a DDT! Jack is about to start pinning but here comes Holly! My lovely Miss Universe runs towards Jack, but is stopped by Alex running from the opposite side of her. Alex jumps over Jack before rushing to take Holly back to the ground WITH A CODE RED! BA GAWD, A SNAP SUNSET FLIP POWERBOMB TAKES HOLLY DOWN AND IT’S JACK TIME TO GET A PIN! JACK HOOKS HARPER’S LEG AND GOES FOR A COVER!

Deadprez: Harper Lee gets her shoulder off the mat! These two sides seem to have started to work well together since no one wanted to unite with each other in the first place. Eventually, adjusting yourself to suit the situation is still happening. Jack starts to rise again while Harper is still dizzy from the DDT she received from Jack. Jack starts pulling her hair up with his hands before attempting to slam her to the ground again with a Snap Suplex…. HOLLY ROLLS BACK INSIDE THE RING AND KICKS JACK’S HEAD OFF WITH A CARTWHEEL PELE KICK!
Eve: Jack lets Harper off before she turns around and smacks him in the face with a Bicycle Kick! Holly pops back to both feet and connects with an Inward Forearm Strike from the front! Harper seizes Jack from behind and throws the back of his neck to the floor with a German Suplex!
Gavin Kirkland: Jack falls to his knees before Holly-Cwhan runs in- ALEX FLIES FROM OUT OF NOWHERE WITH A MISSILE DROPKICK, SENDING HOLLY DOWN TO THE CANVAS!
Deadprez: Alex ascends back to their feet… AND LOOK! HARPER JUMPS ON ALEX’S SHOULDERS FROM BEHIND AND DRIVES THEIR HEAD TO THE GROUND WITH A REVERSE FRANKENSTEINER!!!!! Two competitors are out of this ring… Jack from behind quickly hoists Harper on his shoulder! He’s going for it… A LAWN DART SENDING HARPER’S FACE RIGHT INTO THE MIDDLE TURNBUCKLE!!!! Down goes Harper and Jack runs in to make a cover on her!

Eve: Holly uses her last strength to grab Harper’s right hand and quickly throws it on the bottom rope! That’s a rope break! The match continues and it looks like both teams are still pursuing a way to beat their opponents. ( Jack looks back behind him and notices that Alex is behind him and taps his shoulder to make a tag. Alex ignores Jack completely to enter the ring and pick Harper back to both feet. Jack looks at Alex with disgusted eyes before he slowly retreats to his corner, down to the apron. )
Gavin Kirkland: Alex picks Harper up before they throw Harper into the corner. Alex quickly runs from where they are standing and tackles Harper with a corner clothesline. Alex takes her out of the corner before they grab her and throw Harper to the ring’s mat with a Butterfly Suplex!
Deadprez: Harper is knocked down by a Butterfly Suplex, and Alex slowly gets back to their feet and heads for the corner in front of them. Alex begins to climb the second rope before slowly working their way up to the top of the corner…. Alex turns aro- What is Jack doing?
Jack Ripley (Off-Mic): Hey! Come back down, you’re not doing this!
Alex Myers (Off-Mic): What are you talking about?

Deadprez: Alex and Holly collide in the air like two planes before they both collapse to the ground. Oh well, Alex seems to have the strength left to stand up and rescue Jack here. Alex grips their chest in pain before walking slowly to wake Jack up. They then rush over to grab Harper and try to wake Jack up by yelling at him.

Eve: Jack tries to get up again before he begins to gain a foothold… Jack quickly runs towards Harper…. ‘DAYLIGHT SLAYIN- No way, HOLLY HOLDS JACK’S FOOT! HE CAN’T MOVE!
Gavin Kirkland: And look guys! Harper quickly goes right behind Alex and she jumps… ‘RAGNAROK’ !!!! AN OLYMPIC SLAM CRASHES ALEX TO THE MAT!
Deadprez: Alex rolls away down to the ringside area in pain and Jack kicks Holly away from him. He turns around but Harper dashes in and sends him back into the corner with ‘Red Skull’ !!! A sickening headbutt taking Jack down!
Eve: Harper starts getting tired and begins to sit on the may. Holly slowly tries to get up, and then Jack, looking lifeless at the corner after taking Harper’s violent headbutt to his head.

Gavin Kirkland: Alex begins to recover before they tumble back into the ring while both women are coming back to their feet. Alex rushes over to Harper before bringing her down over the ropes down to the outside with them at the same time with a clothesline! Holly pushes herself off the mat and tries to attack Jack with the ‘Fish of Khonshu’! A Gowan Lariat but Jack catches with a kick to her arm! Deadprez: Oh and here comes Alex! Alex jumps back onto the apron and asks Jack to tag them. Jack rolls over to his team’s corner and Alex taps his shoulder to do a tag.

Holly backs away from them before kicking Alex’s chest with a Shoot Kick as loud as a gunshot! Annie Lennox & Dave Stewart) plays through the speakers. The final shot shows Veena Adams standing in the ring looking emotionlessly at what had just happened before crossing her arms and looking up to Harper who is on the stage. The camera cuts to Harper revealing her sly smile as the scene fades to elsewhere. )
(The camera turns backstage to Heid Huxley. She is there with Kyra Phillips standing by.)
Kyra Phillips: Ms. Huxley, you asked for this time?
Heid Huxley: I did. Thank you for the great job that you do Kyra. Our esteemed General Manager, Kennedy Street wanted me to come out here and explain the rules of the Scramble match, so everyone understands. This is going to be a very special event at Road to Redemption for the Showdown brand, it will be the first for Ms. Street and she looks to make it a night that no one will ever forget. As we know, six individuals will get the opportunity to win the chance at Donovan Duke and the National Elite Championship, that match will take place at the King of Elite Marquee Event on February 4th and 5th from Vancouver, British Columbia. And considering that Mr. Duke will have broken the record for longest reign, this is an even bigger match to see if they could be the Elitist to end a legendary reign.
Kyra Phillips: It really is exciting times in the EAW and Showdown Brand. As we just saw two of the participants tag with each other in a victory and then Harper taking the opportunity to take Holly Arrow down.

Heidi Huxley: Oh, for sure, the spirit of competition, which is why this match is so important, but Ms. Street feels the need to explain the rules, so I offered to come out here and talk to you Kyra, giving me the chance to go over what the Scramble match is all about. We have six competitors. Holly Arrow, Veena Adams, Harper Lee, Harley Lewis, Hunnid Honcho and Abel Atami. They get the opportunity to challenge for the National Elite Championship. But in doing so the match will start with all six competitors in the ring. There will be a 20 minute time limit and the clock will start right at the sound of the bell. Then during the match, every pinfall or submission will automatically make that person the Number One Contender until someone else is pinned or submits. It doesn’t matter how many pinfalls or submissions one has scored, that is not what wins you the match.

Kyra Phillips: How is the winner determined?
Heidi Huxley: The winner is determined by whomever scores the last pinfall before the time runs out. You could have one wrestler with let’s say 7 pinfalls, but the other Elitist scores only one and that was the last one when the time runs out? They will go on to the King of Elite to challenge Donovan Duke for the National Elite Championship. It is going to be a very exciting match especially with the six Elitists involved.
Kyra Phillips: Any predictions?

Gavin Kirkland: A great ending to a wonderful main event we have witnessed here tonight. Both men came into this match and threw everything they had at each other, but at the end Xander Payne proved to be the one that wanted it more.
Eve: Yeah, Xander Payne was the one that showed more heart and determination here tonight, and if you combine it all with Ryan Joseph Wilson being by his corner, it all led to Xander Payne being able to add yet another one to his column and successfully beat one of his fellow participants in the Answers World Championship. This man came out here like a warrior, and he nearly did enough to have the EAW Hall of Famer beat, but at the end things just did not perfectly go his way. Wrestling is not only about the great wrestling action in the ring, but also about the stories being told, the intrigue, drama and brutality which comes with each and every match, feud, and title opportunity. Every decision made has a reason behind it. I don’t think that some of the Elitists understand this. The past few weeks, having bear witness to complete and utter disrespect toward my decisions have led me to make other ones due to consequences. No stone is unturned, and no crime will go unpunished. I look at my roster and see the absolute BEST this company has to offer. Kennie is going to challenge them, wanting to see who really deserves those spots and to be honest because that is what you will always get from me, Elitists like Alex Myers, Donovan Duke, and Adam Lucas just don’t get it.
(Shaking her head, Kennedy continues to pace, looking out at the crowd before speaking again.)
Kennedy Street: They are paid to compete every week, to come into this ring and earn their keep. They are here for the fans and the moment they start to refuse to do their jobs, that is disrespectful toward me and the fans. My Road to Redemption debut as the General Manager of this Brand will NOT be undermined or ruined by a couple of rogue, disgruntled Elitists that moonlight as heroes when the circumstances fit their narrative. So, Donovan Duke and Adam Lucas? Get out here right now and do NOT make me wait!
(Kennedy screams in the mic as the crowd cheers, some boo waiting when suddenly “You Know My Name” by Chris Cornell starts to play throughout the arena. The National Elite Champion, Donovan Duke along with Adam Lucas both walk out, the fans cheer while others boo. Adam walks first as Donovan Duke follows behind.)
Deadprez: That didn’t take long. Donovan Duke and Adam Lucas coming out together here in unison and will face the wrath of our General Manager.
Eve: I think Kennedy Street may have a point, I also see where Duke and Lucas are coming from, but like any professional wrestler, you wrestle, that’s it.
Gavin Kirkland: Kennedy is going to reprimand these two and it will be glorious!
(Adam Lucas and Donovan Duke make it to the ring, they both have mics in hand, Donovan slides in, Adam hops on the apron and both go through the ropes.)
Adam Lucas: You called?
Donovan Duke: We are here.
Kennedy Street: I’m still trying to understand where either one of you thought this was a good idea to challenge my booking and authority. See honey, while believing in absolute fairness, the one thing I seem to not comprehend is all the hot air and complaining when your wife, Adam decided to wrestle the match and actually did a damn good job of it. Here you are all week complaining about the match and trying to undermine Kennie, not only that insulting me for no other reason than throwing a tantrum because you had to wrestle your wife. How many times did I have to face my sister? Cousins? Brother? So, I don’t want to hear it honey!
Adam Lucas: Is that what you think? Kennedy, I always respected you and the rest of your family. The Street name has been a part of my social circles in the sport for a long time, you were the best friend of my mentor, Orlando Cruze’s wife Taylor for a long time. You were there at his funeral, I remember that. There was a time that you stood for what this sport meant, and it wasn’t about “drama” or making it a showcase. It was about the competition. But then you went off to Hollywood and when you came back? You were a different person.
(Kennedy cuts him off.)
Kennedy Street: Let me stop you right there. Being one of the most successful wrestlers in the business today and a Hollywood star has its perks and Kennie could have stayed doing movies, but coming here was a dream come true and a full circle for me. For years women like me had to deal with a male dominated society, don’t even play coy with me, honey because everyone damn well knows the first time I came into this business they tried to say I was nothing but a stripper. It took years for me to finally get the respect I deserve and when seeing someone like you and Donovan Duke who are held to a high standard, it pisses me off when you think that it is alright for you and Donovan to go against what I felt was a great opportunity to get some gold around your waist. And YOU, Mr. Duke…. Are just a follower.
Donovan Duke: Wait a second. I never once refused to wrestle the match, but Adam is my friend, and I am going to support whatever decision he makes!
(Kennedy smirks and nods….)
Kennedy Street: Really? So good friends? Could we say partners?
Donovan Duke: Yes. We have nothing but respect for one another.
Kennedy Street: Adam is this true?
Adam Lucas: Damn
Kennedy Street: Okay, I can work with this, because it seems like making you two start the Elimination Chamber was only a slap in the wrist. Grant it, it dampens your chances of winning considering the other four Elitists in the match. But since both of you are in this together? Then why not make this a package deal, right? Good so then, since neither of you along with a few others don’t seem to want the spirit of competition and take advantage of the opportunities I present, then the only choice we have is to test just how badly you want to be a World Champion.
(Adam and Donovan both look at one another, but Adam walks right up to Kennedy’s face.)
Adam Lucas: I know most of these people don’t know who you are, or at least are not familiar with your work, but I am one of the few that do and we both know that your exit was less than flawless. You might think that some power as the General Manager will bring you a little peace and a finality to what you want in this business. But long as Donovan Duke and I are on Showdown, we do this for the love of the sport, not the love of Kennedy Street.
(Adam drops the mic as Donovan Duke smiles, they both starts to make their way out of the ring, but Kennedy stops them.)
Kennedy Street: Oh no, you don’t get the last say, Adam and Donovan. I do. If you think that this is going to be the way things are on Showdown, you’re sadly mistaken. Before I finish, first… good luck in the Chamber. With Jon Kelton, Ryan Joseph Wilson, Xander Payne and Impact in the match, I severely doubt your chances are very good. But next week in the Main Event? You’re going to get the chance to prove your worth.
(Kennedy walks up to both individuals….)
Kennedy Street: When you two face all four of them in the Main Event in Bangkok, Thailand…. Honey.
(She flips the mic and walks out of the ring leaving both Adam and Donovan flabbergasted. She starts to back up glaring at both of them with a huge smile on her face as Donovan and Adam glare at her.)
Deadprez: Did she just make that match for next Showdown!? Adam Lucas and Donovan Duke will take on Jon Kelton!? Ryan Joseph Wilson!? Xander Payne!? And the Answers World Champion, Impact!? The crowd is in shock and so are Donovan Duke and Adam Lucas!
Gavin Kirkland: Don’t cross the boss! I love her! I mean I’m in love with our new General Manager! She said it, asked them if they are a package deal and she made it known that they were indeed and now look what has happened! This is amazing!
Eve: I don’t know what to say! Be careful what you wish for!? Kennedy Street laying down the law and there is nothing Adam Lucas and Donovan Duke can do about it!
Deadprez: We are out of time! What a Main Event we have next week! For Eve and Gavin Kirkland, we will see you all in Bangkok,Thailand! Wow!
(“Her” starts to play as Kennedy continues to smile at Adam and Donovan as both stare her down, not able to do anything about what she has done but knowing that next week, both men will be in the fight of their life.)
