[SCREEN BAR – Last Week at Portland Police Department]
(After being arrested and taken downtown for her booking, Ms. Extreme, better known as Camille Jane Ava stood there holding the sign with her name on it and inmate number. She was smiling the whole time the picture was taken, but still feeling the aftereffects of the beatdown she took with the nightsticks after she hit Kennedy Street in the face and busted her nose. She was taken into custody for assault and the Showdown General Manager. After she was booked, a couple of hours into her jail time, she sits alone in her holding cell, leaned back against the wall, glaring at the ceiling. A police officer walks up to the bars.)
Police Officer: Camille?
Ms. Extreme: It’s Ms. Extreme to you.
Police Officer: Right, time to get out, you made bail.
(Looking a little confused, Ms. Extreme stands up slowly and walks over to the bars.)
Ms. Extreme: I made bail?
Police Officer: That’s what I said.
(He unlocks the cell door and stands to the side as Ms. Extreme walks out still puzzled. She follows the officer as they proceed to sign her out, taking about half an hour. Finally, she is shown the exit door, walking out into the chilly night, where she sees a black Jeep parked in the front, the person hops off.)
Ms. Extreme: Why did you bail me out of jail?
???: I had a feeling you were going to ask me that, Is it really that difficult to comprehend?
(Ms. Extreme walks right up to the face of Adam Lucas.)
Adam Lucas: Beth couldn’t be here because of what happened to her father and the office thanks to Sienna Jade, but she gave me her blessing. Now come on, you must be starving, and I’ll drive you back to the hotel after we grab a bite to eat.
Ms. Extreme: Not until I know why?
Adam Lucas: Okay…. Is it really that complicated? Camille, I saw what happened earlier tonight and I have seen how people reacted since you returned. I was a part of that match when you came back. I was laid out on the mat when you stopped Kassidy Heart from ruining it with Jake’s cash in, putting you in the crosshairs of management and others, knowing what happens when you do, take Donovan Duke and I for example.
Ms. Extreme: Did you expect any different? The last thing Hurricane Hawk did before he was unceremoniously fired was to sign me to Showdown. I wasn’t ready to return yet physically, but once I did, it was about picking my shots. I came back at Road to Redemption because I wasn’t about to allow this Disney farce and the inmates running the asylum to get away with this, so they can throw me in jail all they want, that doesn’t matter, I will take it time and time again.
(Adam chuckles a little but he knows the consequences.)
Adam Lucas: I think I’m the last person you need to pitch anything to, I get it, trust me. When someone like my wife who let’s face it, you two put yourselves through Hell back in 2019-2020, then there was a mutual respect back at Grand Rampage last year, tells me that you are worth being on my side, I listen. So now, the question is, are you going to get into the Jeep, and we can talk about things moving forward or not? Because the way7 I look at it, individually, we are outnumbered, but our combined forces? Well, that’s a different story. I don’t think Jake Smith is one of those that wants to ruffle any feathers, he seems to be taking the World Championship to heart. All I am saying is that we need to have a conversation and preferably over some pancakes or something.
(Ms. Extreme stays silent for a moment before she finally nods.)
Ms. Extreme: Fine… pancakes sound good and yeah… we can have the conversation.
Adam Lucas: I always said that there are strengths in numbers and Kennedy has that and with it said…. The enemy of my enemy is my friend.
(Adam extends his hand at Ms. Extreme. It takes her a second before she takes it and shakes his hand. He then opens the Jeep door so she can climb in, as he walks around the other side, hopping in and slowly driving away from the Police Station. The last shot is the back of the Jeep driving away as it fades into the intro for Showdown.)

(RECAP–Last week’s Showdown took place from the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon. The recap starts with the debuting Drake Armstrong defeating Katherine Helle. Then Kyra Phillips interviews Lexi about her upcoming Specialists Championship match. The next match has Hans Grayson and Major Scotty Connor defeating Javier and Diego De La Rosa in tag team action, but after the match La Familia attacks both Connor and Grayson leaving them laying. Next, Michaela Street interviews Holly Arrow and Harper Lee, now known as POTARA, about their future as a team and their goals in 2023. The next match has Adam Lucas dominating and decimating Abel Atami. After the match, he continues the attack and eventually leaves both Atami and Antonne Prudence out before GM Kennedy Street fires them both. Backstage, Xander Payne and Ryan Joseph Wilson are talking about their futures in the King of Elite tournament as well as their tag team match at King of Elite. )
(The recap continues with King of Elite Quarterfinal action as Jon Kelton surprises Ryan Joseph Wilson with a backslide rollup to pick up the surprise victory and advance to the Semifinals. Backstage, GM Kennedy Street is talking with both Lucas Johnson and Komatsu Ogawa wondering where they need to improve and to convince her that they can step up to the plate…or else. The next match has Jack Ripley defeating National Elite Champion Donovan Duke with a rollup using the tights after Donovan caught guest commentator Veena Adams talking trash about him. Then Harley Lewis comes to the ring and seems to have a metamorphosis into a darker personality as he warns the Showdown locker room. In the main event match of the night, it’s a First Round King of Elite match as Alex Myers defeats Xander Payne to advance to the Quarterfinals after the Ice Aces came out and watched the match from the entrance ramp. Finally a double contract signing is held in the ring with Impact, Jake Smith, Kassidy Heart, and Ms. Extreme and their respective matches. The contracts get signed, but it immediately breaks down into a brawl, which Kennedy Street accidentally gets caught in the crossfires when she gets backhanded accidentally by Ms. Extreme. The brawl ends with Kassidy Heart and Impact standing tall as Ms. Extreme was arrested and drug away by the cops and Jake was power bombed through a table as the recap ends…)
(“Brick Wall” by A Day to Remember is playing throughout the Climate Pledge Arena in amazing Seattle, Washington signifying the start of another great edition of Saturday Night Showdown. The crowd in attendance is overflowing with excitement for all the Showdown action to begin especially after last week’s show. The crowd is wearing or holding the different merchandise of their favorite EAW Elitists. There are others in the crowd that are holding up creatively drawn and written signs cheering for their favorites or making fun of the ones that they hate. After a few moments of the camera panning through the sold-out crowd, the camera finally settles at the broadcast table where the trio of Deadprez, Gavin Kirkland, and Eve are sitting and ready to once again call all the Showdown Action.)
Deadprez: We are two weeks away from the King of Elite event and things are still heating up. Ladies and gentlemen, this is SATURDAY! NIGHT! SHOWDOWN! As always, I am Deadprez and alongside the amazing team of Eve and Gavin Kirkland, we will be calling all the action that the blue brand provides. This is going to be an amazing night. I mean look what we started off our show with.
Eve: You better believe it, Deadprez! So much going on tonight that I highly doubt the crowd in attendance and watching at home will get bored. Tonight, we will check up on GM Kennedy Street after that unfortunate shot to her face. We hope she is doing alright.
Gavin Kirkland: WE WRESTLE!!! You know I have to get that in. But we will also hearing from Kassidy Heart after her brawl with Ms. Extreme last week. We will also hear from Jon Kelton as he prepares for his semifinal match next week against the winner of this week’s quarterfinal match.
Deadprez: We will also be hearing from ARIA and Lexi as they meet face to face before their Specialists Championship match at King of Elite. Speaking of, we will also hear from POTARA! Holly Arrow and Harper Lee about their plans for King of Elite.
Gavin Kirkland: PREZZY!!! IT’S TIME TO TALK ABOUT THE MATCHES!!! OH I LOVE THIS PART!! We have the rookie Drake Armstrong taking on Lucas Johnson one on one. Will Kennedy Street’s words from last week light a fire under Lucas or will Drake Armstrong continue his undefeated streak tonight?
Eve: You talked about Kennedy’s words, so Komatsu Ogawa will no doubt be in the same boat. Ogawa will be taking on Harley Lewis tonight. The former Triangle of Terror members going one on one. Which new attitude will prevail? We will find out tonight!
Deadprez: We also have the Major here tonight for competition. Major Michael Scott Connor will be facing Katherine Helle tonight. Will Scotty make it two in a row this week or will Ms. Helle pick up her first win since her return? That will be tonight.
Gavin Kirkland: One of my favorites is in action. The lovely Veena Adams will be taking on Ashlynn Quinn in singles action. We also found out that National Elite Champion Donovan Duke will be out at ringside for this match. It was because of Veena that Donovan lost last week. Will Donovan return the favor this week? We’ll find out t
Eve: We also have Quarterfinal action in the King of Elite tournament. Adam Lucas will be taking on Alex Myers to see who advances to the Semifinals. Both are on a mission and they both want to advance, so this will no doubt be a hard hitting and competitive match up.
Deadprez: That is going to be a hot match indeed, but look what we have for our main event! It’s Homecoming for the one and only Impact! Impact is competing in his hometown against the hot rookie Hans Grayson. We also just found out that Answers World Champion, Jake Smith will be at ringside for this match. Will the Hall of Famer pick up some momentum towards his World Championship rematch or will Hans Grayson pick up the biggest win of his young career? We’ll find out later tonight, but let’s take it to the lovely Gina Romano for the introductions of our opening contest.
(The camera cuts to the ring, where ring announcer Gina Romano is standing with a microphone in hand as she is ready to start the introductions for the first match to kick off Saturday Night Showdown!)
(‘Pride and Arrogance’ by Takeru Kanazaki hits, as Drake Armstrong comes out to a million boos from the audience. His music continues to blast, as he walks down the ramp with an egotistical demeanor to him. He doesn’t care about the negative reception, making his way to the ring and posing.)
Gina Romano: THIS MATCH IS SCHEDULED FOR ONE FALL WITH A TWENTY MINUTE TIME LIMIT! INTRODUCING FIRST, FROM SCARSDALE, NEW YORK, THE FUTURE— DRAKE ARMSTRONG!
(As the music fades, ‘Ready to Die’ by the Notorious B.I.G. hits, as Lucas Johnson walks out to mixed reception from the audience. He keeps a level head, though, making his way as he proceeds into the ring and stares Drake down.)
Gina Romano: AND HIS OPPONENT, FROM LONG ISLAND, NEW YORK, THE WRESTLING MACHINE— LUCAS JOHNSON!
Gavin Kirkland: AND SO WE HAVE DRAKE IN THE RING WITH ONE OF SHOWDOWN’S BEST TECHNICAL WRESTLERS! Drake is looking to ruin Lucas’ night, considering the conditions placed on him by the wonderful and beautiful Kennedy Street. Lucas and Drake are circling the ring, wrists taped and ready to work. Drake has the size and strength advantage here, and he’s showing that! Both Lucas and Drake are in a collar-elbow tie-up, and yet: Drake is pushing him back! Lucas is pushed against the ropes here, and Drake keeps him there!
Deadprez: Lucas might be outmatched in the grappling department. Let’s see if he can out-box Drake, who isn’t known for being a big striker. Drake’s doing knuckle push-ups to mock Lucas, and Lucas is pissed. He’s trying to keep his cool and he runs into Drake, who manages to slide under him, grab hold of the wrists and slam him down to the mat for a suplex! Lucas has clearly been outmatched here, and yet, he’s still trying to keep fighting!
Eve: This is stubborn, yet commendable on Lucas’ end. Lucas is offering his hand, wanting to continue the grapple match here! Lucas and Drake are continuing their grappling tradeoff, but Lucas tries to go for a double-leg! Drake manages to avoid it, and he sprawls, grabbing Lucas’ ankle and trying to go for an ankle lock! Lucas manages to roll to avoid being in there for too long, yet Drake isn’t bothered! He knows he’s given Lucas a match he can’t grapple himself out of! Drake is circling the ring, and Lucas still wants a grappling tradeoff! Bad idea, man.
Gavin Kirkland: Lucas tries to get into a collar-elbow tie-up with Drake, who puts him into a headlock! Lucas manages to free himself, and grabs hold of Drake’s wrist! He wrenches it back, and Drake rolls himself over! Lucas manages to keep the wrist held together and yet, Drake is rolling into positions and manages to slide his fist under Lucas’ elbow and take him down to the mat! Drake lets go, and he tries to keep his distance! Lucas is really consistent when it comes to his stubbornness, let’s see if that can get him into a win here!
Deadprez: Lucas is circling the ring now, and he has his hands up! He wants to make this a striking match, and Drake decides to agree! Lucas comes in, he’s finding range with his lead hand, and he splits Drake’s guard down the middle with a right cross! Drake isn’t really used to boxing his opponents, and Lucas takes advantage of his momentum with a thigh kick! Drake takes it, and Lucas follows up with a spinning side kick!
Eve: Lucas finally changes the pace! He knows the advantage Drake has in the grappling realm, and he continues his striking sequence with several kicks to the ribs! Drake manages to grab hold of one, and he steps into Lucas’ range, tripping him over and causing him to stumble! Drake got Lucas right where he wants him, and he still has the leg held! He pulls it back for an ankle lock! Lucas can’t roll out of his one!
Gavin Kirkland: And it’s Drake transitioning it into a spinning toe hold! Lucas did not see this coming as early as he expected, and Drake is basking in the advantage he has now! He’s working on those legs, as those kicks are some of Lucas’ greatest trademark! Lucas manages to hold the ropes, and Drake just intensely twists it into the opposite direction, causing Lucas to grimace in pain! What an absolute sadist!
Deadprez: Lucas is trying to hold his legs in pain, but Drake is relentless! He pulls Lucas off the ropes and he’s continuing to get to work on the legs! He’s repeating it to the other side, and yet, Lucas knows he’s going for this one and frees himself before Drake can fully lock it in! Drake is bothered by this, and he goads Lucas to get up! Lucas stands up, and he tries a right hook, but Drake ducks underneath it and he sends Lucas flying into the turnbuckle! Drake runs off, and he sends his shoulder right into Lucas’ ribcage with a shoulder tackle!
Eve: It is clear that Drake wants to use his size advantage and out-muscle Lucas, but Lucas is also trying to use his striking advantage to his disposal! Drake unleashes a flurry of jabs into Lucas’ face, and he slaps him! He proceeds with a headbutt, putting Lucas seated on the turnbuckle! Drake runs off the opposite corner, and he jams both knees right into Lucas’ face! He pulls Lucas to the middle of the ring, and he’s looking for the cover here! Can he put Lucas away early on, and end this man’s dreams?

Gavin Kirkland: NO! LUCAS KICKS OUT! Drake gets up in frustration, and he wanted this match to end right here! Lucas tries to pull himself up, but Drake sends an elbow into Lucas’ face! Lucas takes it, and yet, he retaliates with an elbow of his own! Drake did not see that coming in the least bit, and Lucas is using this momentum to land a knee to the gut of Drake Armstrong! Lucas rebounds off the ropes, and he catches Drake off guard with a heavy front dropkick! Lucas is feeling it, and he’s clearly the fan favorite compared to Drake Armstrong.
Deadprez: Maybe he should be a bit more careful, though! Lucas just barely slipped a right hook from Drake, and he’s smiling! He has those reflexes, and he’s showing Kennedy Street why he should stay in Showdown! He wants his redemption, and he might just get it! Lucas is inching towards Drake, and he slaps him in the face again and again! He ducks under and pulls Drake’s legs from underneath him! Drake didn’t see this coming in the least bit, and he’s caught off guard by it!
Eve: Lucas pulls the legs towards him, and he mounts on Drake, repeatedly launching punches down Drake’s jaw! Drake’s clearly annoyed and irritated! He shoves Lucas off him, and he tries to reset! Lucas comes in with full momentum, attempting a full kick to Drake’s neck, but no! Drake manages to duck it by seeing it with barely the corner of his eye! Drake wraps his arm around Lucas’ waist, and he throws him overhead for a German Suplex!
Gavin Kirkland: I highly doubt Lucas is going to be able to outpower Drake! He’s taken so many hits, and yet, he’s still standing! Drake pulls himself up, and he’s chatting at the crowd!
Drake Armstrong: (off-mic) THIS LITTLE DWEEB DOESN’T DESERVE A SPOT IN ELITE ANSWERS WRESTLING! I WANT REAL COMPETITION, NOT THIS F-
Deadprez: And Lucas sends a flying elbow into Drake’s jaw! Drake staggers back, and Lucas gives it his all, kicking Drake right in the face with a massive roundhouse! It is clear he’s showing no signs of slowing down, and he continues this pace with several headbutts into Drake’s nose! I’m surprised there’s no blood running down from it yet, and Lucas kicks the kneecap and puts Drake to one knee! He rebounds off the ropes: SHINING WIZARD! THE SHINING WIZARD CONNECTS AND DRAKE IS OUT! Can Lucas regain his momentum and pin Drake Armstrong for good? It seems like it!

Eve: NO! DRAKE KICKS OUT! Drake just kicked out and yet, Lucas doesn’t want to give up! He grabs Drake by the neck, and he wraps his arm around it for a Sleeper Hold! He wants to put him out, and he’s putting his full effort into that choke! Could that be the one that takes Drake out of this match for good? It looks tight! Drake manages to push himself up, and he sends elbows into Lucas’ ribs! Lucas holds those ribs in pain, and Drake takes advantage of this, ducking for a double leg takedown! Drake proceeds to give Lucas a barrage of fists of his own!
Gavin Kirkland: And Lucas is still trying to use whatever ounce of heart he has left in him to continue this match! It’s starting to get intense here, and Lucas might want to ramp up the pace! Drake pulls himself up and lets Lucas free, and it seems like he’s taking some heavy breaths here! He has some impressive stamina, but the more intense this will go, that will take a toll on his cardio! Drake catches his breath, and Lucas kips up! He’s got red all over his face and chest, and he’s goading Drake on for a full fight!
Deadprez: Drake is trying his best to avoid it, but no! Lucas pulls him in and he headbutts him! Drake doesn’t let this slide, and he simply decides to grab hold of Lucas’ wrist and he sends a full high knee into his solar plexus! Lucas takes a deep breath, though, and he comes back with three hard elbows of his own! Drake pushes him away, and he hits Lucas with a heavy chop to the chest! Man, this is starting to get even better! Lucas and Drake are exchanging strike variations! DRAKE! DRAKE! DRAKE! LUCAS! LUCAS! LUCAS! LUCAS! Lucas is getting the better of Drake, and he pulls him in for a Judo Throw! Lucas manages to pull Drake for a Judo throw and he puts him down on the mat!
Eve: Lucas grabs hold of the arm, and he’s going for a cross-armbreaker! Lucas is just latching on for dear life, but Drake rolls over and he proceeds to lift Lucas up! He lifts him up, and he slams him down on the mat! Drake repeats it, but this time, he throws Lucas out of the ring and into the barricade! Drake rolls underneath the ring, and he lifts Lucas’ shin up and slams it down onto the steel steps! Holy cow! Drake rolls Lucas back into the ring, and he wraps his arms around Lucas’ neck for a Dragon Sleeper! Oh man, this is starting to make Lucas a bit winded here, and Drake is latching on for dear life!
Gavin Kirkland: C’mon Drake, beat him! Lucas is proceeding to fade, but no! He’s still alert and active! He walks back a little, and he blasts Drake into the turnbuckle! Lucas knows he’s free now, and so he runs a little, but turns and sends a European Uppercut into Drake’s chin! Drake just took that, and it seems like he’s showing toughness of his own! Drake has a chin here, and he’s smiling! Lucas tries again, but Drake slips a punch and catches him in an Arm Triangle! He turns around, and he’s trying to choke Lucas out again!
Deadprez: It seems like he wants to make Lucas fade and take him out of this match completely! Let’s see how effective that is in making Lucas fade! No! He manages to step on his toes and Drake has to free it! Lucas catches his breath, and he runs and collides with Drake for a neckbreaker! The neckbreaker just took him out! Drake gets up, and Lucas is coming in with something even more special! Drake runs again, but Lucas catches him with The Blueprint! A jumping stunner connects!
Eve: He’s out! Drake is out and he’s been planted face first into the mat! What the hell is going on here? Lucas wants to put him out for good, but no! Drake has some more fight left in him, and he sends uppercuts of his own into Lucas’ chin! Lucas takes these uppercuts, and he’s giving Drake the same smile Drake gave him earlier! It seems like he wants to show Drake that he too, isn’t scared and has a chin of his own! Lucas kicks him in the midsection, and he slams his head right on the ground for a DDT! The DDT connects! Lucas is going for the cover here!

Gavin Kirkland: NO! DRAKE KICKS OUT! Lucas tries to repeat the same DDT, but Drake shoves him off! Lucas attempts a spinning back elbow, but Drake grabs hold of the waists and turns him up and down for a massive Wheelbarrow Facebuster! Lucas just took the brunt of it, and clearly, he’s not very happy! Drake has regained the advantage in this match, and it’s time to see whether or not he can keep it as it progresses into a more intense stage! He wants to lock in a submission, but Lucas is kicking at his face! He is forced to step back!
Deadprez: And Lucas rolls on his back, and manages to catch the Future off guard with a back elbow! Drake didn’t seem to see that coming at all, and yet, it doesn’t seem like it bothered him all too much! He has a plan in mind here, and he wants to execute it to the best of his own ability! Lucas rebounds off the rope, but no! Drake manages to catch him and stop him in his tracks with a massive clothesline! He’s still standing, and Drake latches onto him! Lucas manages to come back, but Drake hits him with an unsuspecting eye rake! Lucas is holding it in pain, and my god does it hurt!
Eve: He puts him into a Bourgeois Bite! It connects and the abdominal stretch is just wrenching his spine back! He’s continuing the torture with an abdominal claw: what the hell? This man just amped the pain level to a higher ante! Lucas refuses to submit, and he manages to tire Drake out enough to drop him on the ground! Lucas is dropped, and he tries to stand up, but Drake rebounds off the ropes and connects for a running front dropkick to Lucas’ abdomen! The Halberd from Hell connects! Can it put Lucas away?

Gina Romano: AND YOUR WINNER, THE FUTURE: DRAKE ARMSTRONG!
Eve: What a match. Although Lucas didn’t manage to pull out the win, he sure showed that he has some fight left in him, and whether or not he can convert it into a future W down the line is left to be seen.
(‘Pride and Arrogance’ by Takeru Kanazaki plays through the arena as Drake walks out to a ton of boos. He takes the entrance ramp, as the LED screens from the titantron continue to show his logo. Lucas is left in the center of the ring, disappointed, as the fans leave him alone as he walks through the back and exits.)
( Returning from a commercial break, we are greeted with the sight of Mikaela Street who is situated in the ring and standing next to a table. It’s time for the Specialists champion and her challenger to come face-to-face ahead of their match-up. Mikaela will act as the moderator and already has a microphone in her hand. “Mr Brightside” by The Killers rips through the P.A. system and garners quite the reaction. Lexi, who’ll be assuming the challenger role at King of Elite, is the first to come out. She’s dressed somewhat casually for the occasion, raising her hands to the fans who cheer at her appearance. She begins to walk down to the ring and as she does so cut to the commentators desk, where Deadprez, Gavin Kirkland and Eve are waiting. )
Deadprez: I’ve got to admit I’ve been looking forward to this. It’ll be a chance to dig deeper into both of Lexi and ARIA’s mindsets ahead of their encounter at King of Elite. So far, so good. Things have been civil between the two women, it’s certainly a change of pace given some of the rivalries we laid witness to during Serenity Valdez’ reign as the Specialists champion. Lexi is the first one here and she seems in good spirits.
Gavin Kirkland: Not to throw shade here, but I’d be in good spirits too if I was handed a shot at the Specialists Championship out of thin air! Not that I meet the requirements necessary to fight for the title in the first place. But look, Lexi has been pretty casual in speaking on her recent failures and her losses. She’s grateful to ARIA for giving her this chance, but are we really expecting something that differs from the norm here? Lexi is a perennial challenger and I’m sure by the time she retires, she’ll have a hefty bank balance. But we’ve been hearing the same song-and-dance for some time now, where’s the end result?
Eve: That’s a little harsh, don’t you think? Sure, Lexi has had a few opportunities that haven’t gone in her direction as of late. But as the new year comes in, she’s opted to turn over a new leaf and really work on herself. Think about the Lexi we were accustomed to twelve months ago, maybe even six. It’s a stark change of pace for her, I for one think she’s going to be a dark horse for success over the coming six-or-so months and by Pain for Pride, she’ll be in a really prominent position alongside some of the best women in the company!
( Lexi gets into the ring, shakes Mikaela’s hand and takes a seat. Her eyes narrow on the entrance ramp and sure enough with time, “DESTINY” by Saori Yoshida blasts through the sound system earning a loud roar of approval from the Washington crowd. ARIA comes out in high spirits and isn’t shy to raise her championship up high, much to the audience’s delight as she then focuses her gaze down on the ring, where her King of Elite opponent is waiting. ARIA parades and poses on the entrance ramp and then walks down towards the ring. Once again we cut to the commentators table, and Deadprez leads the conversation again. )
Deadprez: ARIA is sauntering to the ring here, she has a wide-smile on her face and it looks like she’s excited to dive into things on Showdown. It’s also worth mentioning before this kicks-off that both of these women are in action tomorrow night— ARIA will be facing-off with Ryan Joseph Wilson while Lexi has been pitted against ARIA’s stable-mate and close friend, Ayu Megumi. What a performance it was from ARIA to win the Specialists Championship, but there were certainly a few puzzled expressions when she opted to challenge Lexi to a match.
Eve: I think that may be down to how the Elimination Chamber match unfolded. But it also could be out of personal preference. With the Empress of Elite tournament taking place, choices were slim and ARIA decided to take on a woman who does hold a victory over her in Lexi. So I can’t really sleight her for doing that. She wants to get the proverbial monkey off of her back. I think a match involving these two women will be a great opportunity to showcase how far they’ve grown from that prior match-up. The fact the Specialists Championship is on the line is a good bonus!
Gavin Kirkland: Ladies and gentlemen, the waffle house has found its new host and it’s none other than Eve! Look at you two trying to justify this match coming together. Look, Gavin Kirkland isn’t a hater. But the fact of the matter is, I’d need more than two hands to count on my fingers how many women in this company are more fit to hold the Specialists Championship. ARIA is very, very fortunate in my opinion. She capitalized off of a chaotic match-up and is reaping the rewards. But, when this honeymoon period is over, the target will paint on her back and all eyes will be on that championship— that is if Lexi doesn’t beat her for it first, which is an entirely possible outcome when you look at previous meetings between these two!
( ARIA slides into the ring and isn’t shy to shake hands with both Mikaela and Lexi. She takes a seat opposite of Lexi, both women look up to Mikaela to bring us into this one as the Washington crowd slowly simmers. Mikaela brings the microphone before her mouth. )
Mikaela Street: What a privilege it is for me to host this face-to-face featuring the Specialists champion, ARIA and her opponent at King of Elite, Lexi. I want to set a couple of ground rules before we undertake this conversation. I’m here to moderate, there’ll be no speaking over one-another and I’ll be asking questions which should be answered respectfully. I don’t foresee any problems happening between you two ladies, it’s clear there isn’t any bad blood here. This is more-so a chance for you to air your grievances and understand where your opponent’s head is at as we build closer-and-closer to King of Elite. So hopefully we can bring some hype to this competitive match, hype that it’s deserving of. Have I made myself clear to the two of you?
( ARIA offers an assertive nod in Mikaela’s direction. Lexi follows suit, although her body language is more lax compared to the professionalism that ARIA is offering-up. )
Mikaela Street: Perfect, Lexi I’ll come to you first. Obviously, the two of us spoke last week and you offered some thoughts on both ARIA as well as the Specialists Championship in general. But, we also saw you express some accountability as well as some self-awareness pertaining to the direction that your career has taken. Some have scrutinized your ability to get matches of a high-profile over the line, with recent championship matches at Road to Redemption but also at Dead Men Tell No Tales coming into consideration. So I suppose what I’m asking is, what’s different this time and how do we know you won’t buckle under the spotlight on this occasion?
Lexi: That’s a really tough question for me to answer. But I also think that it’s healthy to discuss the lows of our careers as well as the highs. We as professional wrestlers are in a very privileged position and I’m thankful every day to be living out my dreams. But you’re right, Mikaela. I have had opportunities in the past and I haven’t even come close to capitalizing on them. So I cannot blame people for doubting what I’m capable of. There’s been times where I’ve had these chances to become something more than what I am falling in my path and, for whatever reason it may be, I haven’t been able to fully embrace the prospect of me being an ambassador, a woman that little girls look up to, here in Elite Answers Wrestling.
Lexi: But I’ve gone through a big, big attitude shift of late. I think before I was spoiled and I rode the coattails of my family to be here. I just didn’t appreciate what I had. I’ve been trying to break out from that shadow and pave my own road, opposed to just falling in the shadow of my older brother. I don’t want to be Lexi, Terry’s little sister, no. I want to be fierce, I want to break out and this match provides an amazing opportunity for me to do just that. So I can’t really answer the question you’re asking without sounding generic. But I want it more, I do, and I’m prepared to put in the work to improve all around the board. In the ring but also outside of it.
Mikaela Street: ARIA, you’re in an interesting position right now. Because usually, Muhammad must go to the mountain. But in this case, the mountain very much came to Muhammad as you were the one who shot forward this challenge to Lexi. That’s unusual for a champion to do, when you look at Showdown and see how Donovan’s reign has flowed— as well as Jake Smith hunting down the Answers World Championship now in his possession, I suppose that people are curious for a more detailed answer as to why you felt the need to challenge Lexi. Could you offer us some insight pertaining to why you decided Lexi was worthy to be your first challenger?
ARIA: I’ll happily quash any theories that I picked Lexi because she’s an easy fight. Because that isn’t the case whatsoever. Lexi has many, many qualities that I believe make her a perfect opponent for me at King of Elite. I really admire her tenacity. I think in this business you find a lot of people who say they’re willing to adapt and change as the sport grows and evolves. But not many are actually willing to take that leap. Lexi has done that recently. I’ve seen her grow so much not as a competitor, but as a person. I can see she’s hungry, I can see she’s desperate to take from me what I believe is mine. So I’d love to face her because I know at King of Elite she’ll give me a great challenge and leave it all in the ring.
ARIA: It’s the shift in attitude that did it for me. I could have rolled up to many, many women who fight here in EAW and they’d have snapped my hand off for this opportunity. But I really think that Lexi is deserving of this one-on-one opportunity, because her all-around growth has been really inspiring and this is exactly the type of woman I need to face at this point in my reign as well as my career. It’ll be a really great battle for sure. Some people are saying I chickened out of going against a Milli Banks, or a Serenity Valdez and that’s fine. But they’re quick to forget that Lexi has beaten me before, they’re really underestimating her and I don’t think it’s fair.
Mikaela Street: Lexi, what’re your thoughts on some of the criticism both yourself and ARIA have faced in relation to this match-up? Obviously, it’s a very vocal minority who are saying that ARIA isn’t being entirely honest about her reasons for choosing you. But the saying where there is smoke there is usually fire comes to mind. Do you think maybe you’re not befitting of the opportunity to chase the Specialists Championship once again following Road to Redemption?
Lexi: I’m not an idiot and I’m not going to pretend I’m the world’s best wrestler. Sure, maybe ARIA could be facing someone more accomplished, someone who has more raw talent than I possess. But I think what makes this match-up a good fit is that I’m wanting to change that perception and I’m willing to go to any lengths to do that. People can call me a failure, mock me because I’ve challenged for championships time-and-time again. That’s their opinion and I’m hardly in a position to challenge it. But I want it, I’m sick of people saying that I’m fine skating because I really want it. Winning the Specialists Championship isn’t just another piece of gold on the mantle for me. It’s an opportunity to really flip people’s opinions of me.
Lexi: So they can say that. But I know that at King of Elite I’m going to give everything I have to upset the odds and win the Specialists Championship. And I know there are many, many women who ARIA could be facing instead who don’t have the ruthlessness, the heart and the desperation I do. To kick out when your body and your mind are telling you no. To keep fighting when every muscle, every bone is begging to rest. I’ve beaten ARIA before, and sure she’s improved since then and she’s broken out as it were. But I’ve improved too, and I’m used to people painting me as the underdog, someone who can’t get it done. So as much as it sucks to admit maybe there’s a part of me needing this to prove them all wrong.
ARIA: That’s part of the reason why I picked you too, Lexi. Because you have beaten me before and there’s little use in me shying away from that. I recognise that I have a duty, a responsibility to show up and show out each-and-every week while holding the Specialists Championship. What good would hiding from my past do me? Because everyone I face will have that extra edge against me, that extra need to dredge up my losses and to make me look bad. I’ve been around this business for longer than people give me credit for. Teaming with Usagi and Ayu, being through what we’ve been through together has toughened me up.
ARIA: I know this win was a long time coming for me and I know just how much I’ve improved since we last faced-off against each other. So I chose you as this provides me an opportunity to show that to the world. That me beating Serenity Valdez wasn’t some insane fluke, that I’m not going to bow out and lose the moment someone capable enough steps up to the plate and swings for the fences. Lexi, there’s many people in this world who criticize the pair of us, paint us as not being good enough. At King of Elite, win or lose, I hope we have a chance to prove them wrong and leave it all in the ring. I’m really excited to face you and I know that everybody who has doubted us, has spoken up, will be forced to eat their words.
Lexi: I appreciate that, ARIA. And I know things have been cordial between us. But at King of Elite I’m really not going to hold back. I can’t afford to be all lovey-dovey; to make a spectacle out of this and paint it as some happy ending. There is no win or lose for me. I need this. I know it sounds cliche, but I need this. You can try and illustrate this as a moment for the both of us but if I end the night staring up at the lights, bruised, battered, hurting? I don’t know what I’ll do with myself because I have been working my ass off to be ready for King of Elite. I have beaten you before and as we’ve both said, the two of us have improved since then. So there’s no reason this match can’t be bigger, better. But I’m going to put everything into winning at King of Elite.
ARIA: And I wouldn’t have it any other way, Lexi. I want you to know I’m proud of you, but also that I won’t be holding back either. People are so quick to judge, the first defence is always the hardest and there’s so many examples of champions losing the second they’ve won their belts and then have never been able to recoup that form. I see you as a major threat, but that’s part of the reason why I picked you. Because it’s a statement defence in my eyes, people can label that as false and try to pick apart my argument, but the fact of the matter is you have shown the ability necessary to take me down for the count. So I’m not underestimating you, there’s so much pressure on my shoulders but I’m keen to show the world what I’m about when we fight each other at King of Elite. I am going to walk in and walk out still the champion. Stay Alive.
( ARIA and Lexi glare at one another, as both of their gazes then turn towards the prestigious Specialists Championship that’s sitting on the table. Mikaela Street seems incredibly pleased with how this face-to-face has turned out. Gradually, we fade out from this scene before then transitioning to the next segment in this packed Saturday Night Showdown. )
( The camera fades back to the show when ‘You’re Not Here’ by Akira Yamaoka starts playing throughout the arena as Katherine Helle makes her way to the ring. Looking cocky and badass. The camera pans to Gina Romano standing in the middle of the ring with a microphone in her hand, getting ready to announce this match. )

Deadprez: It’s great to see someone like Katherine Helle coming around here in EAW once again after she disappeared from the wrestling scene in the middle of 2022.
( Katherine enters the ring as her music replaces by ‘Sweet Emotion’ by Aerosmith as Scotty looks absolutely confident making his way to the ring. He looks like someone who is prepared to win this match, no matter the cost. )

Deadprez: Scotty has been dealing with bad luck and a not-looking-so-good win & loss streak. However, the EAW universe always loves the passion this man brings to the ring as a retired soldier. Tonight, maybe his passion will finally get what he wants.

Gavin Kirkland: Katherine Helle takes on Major Michael Scott Connor AKA Scotty is on! Scott and Katherine join in as Scott quickly snatches Katherine. Scotty establishes a dominant position, usually by standing in front of the opponent and facing himself. Scotty reaches around Katherine’s neck with one arm, creating a “V” shape with the elbow and hand, and wraps the other arm around Katherine’s head. Scotty grips his own wrist, creating a chokehold as he kicks things off with a Front Chancery applied on Katherine!
Eve: I don’t think Katherine letting Scotty go down that easy. Katherine manages to find a space as she drops herself to the ground quickly. Katherine rolls back to both feet and goes for a dropkick on Scotty! Scotty sidesteps and drops on her, attempting for a pinfall! Katherine kicks out immediately, taking Scotty down by tripping his leg and going for a cover!
Deadprez: Scotty also kicks out right away. Both competitors reach both feet. Katherine catches Scotty and tries to toss him over her head with a Nothern Lights Suplex! Scotty stops the movement as he grabs Katherine by her arm and judo throws her over him down to the mat! Oh yeah baby, I love this so far!
Gavin Kirkland: Katherine rolls back to her feet right away, charging Scotty with a Bicycle Kick but Scotty ducks under, and goes for her left leg as he looks to snap it in half but Katherine uses her right leg to kick him away. Scotty stumbles away a little distance from Katherine’s position. Katherine reaches both feet and mommy goes for a Clothesline!
Eve: Scotty says no! Ducking under and going all the way behind her, he’s looking for a German Suplex!
Gavin Kirkland: I would love to be in that position! Let me do the job, my good sir!
Deadprez: Scotty is just about to send her flying with a German Suplex. Katherine manages to escape with a right elbow into his face. Scotty falls back to the ropes. Katherine turns back around quickly and charges Scotty with a clothesline to the outside! Scotty goes over the ropes and ends up crashing into the concrete floor. Scotty finds a spot to get himself back upon both feet…. AND KATHERINE LEAPS OFF THE MAT INTO A OVER-THE-ROPE SENTON, TAKING SCOTTY OUT ON THE OUTSIDE! GREAT MOVE BY KATHERINE AND IT MANAGES TO PUT SCOTTY DOWN THERE!
Eve: Katherine pushes herself off the floor and starts grabbing Scotty by pulling his neck. Katherine tosses Scotty back inside the ring underneath the bottom rope as she rolls back inside, tracking down her opponent. Scotty crawls all the way down to the corner, reaching the middle rope and trying to get himself back to his feet. Katherine reaches her hand in as she helps him up, and puts him against the corner before sending a HARD forearm smash right across his face! Katherine pulls Scotty away from the corner, seizes his head, and drops both of his legs up on the middle rope…. A ROPE-HUNG DDT SPIKES!
Gavin Kirkland: Scotty’s head drives to the mat with the force of Katherine. Katherine rolls his body over, facing the arena’s rooftop as she grabs his leg, hooks, and goes for a cover there! Can you do that to me too??!?!??!??

Katherine slowly seizes her opponent to both feet…. sending him to the ropes and taking him down with a Bicycle Kick! Scotty falls and Katherine proceeds to control this game.
Deadprez: Katherine finds herself in a corner as she starts climbing all the way to the top. Scotty starts getting back to his feet but Katherine is already set his mark… COMING ALL THE WAY DOWN WITH A POWERFUL MISSILE DROPKICK! Scotty is able to move under as Katherine lands her back down to the canvas! Katherine cries in pain and tries to get to her feet. Scotty runs in with a kick right to her gut…. seizing her and scooping her down to the ground with a standing suplex! Scotty gets his payback! Scotty takes her down!
Gavin Kirkland: Scotty goes behind and traps one of her arms. Scotty reaches over the shoulder with one arm and grabs her wrist, pulling it across her own body. Scotty traps Katherine’s other arm with their legs, crossing one ankle over her elbow and trapping it against her thigh. Scotty applies pressure to her elbow, creating a crucifix armbar submission hold! Katherine is in trouble right there!
Eve: Scotty goes full technical against a powerhouse such as Katherine showing how good he can be on that side. Katherine tries to find a way to escape as she tries to use her right arm to wiggle and get out of there. Katherine attempts for it but it’s no use. Scotty throws her down to the ground and drops a right knee on her spine like what she did to him earlier in this match. Scotty grabs Katherine by her chin and looks for a reverse chinlock!
Deadprez: Katherine with both legs up to hook Scotty by his head, grabs his arm and tries to pull his body down to the ground… and she does it! Scotty falls and Katherine charges for his legs. Katherine grabs one of his legs and tries to put Scotty into a Single Leg Boston Crab! Scotty twists himself, gets his face off the mat, and uses his free leg to kick right to both of Katherine’s hands. Katherine rolls away and holds down her hands. Katherine gets to both feet. Scotty pops back to his feet and tries to jump her early on but Katherine moves out of her way. Scotty hits the ropes, stops and turns back around….

Gavin Kirkland: What a match and what a win by Scotty! Did you see that? Scotty finally wins and he makes Katherine pass out! That’s awesome!
Deadprez: Congrats to Scotty for his hard work tonight and I can tell by the crowd that they love what they witness tonight. Something… that Scotty has been fighting for a little while. Nothing but hopefully this man keeps putting his work in so maybe in the future…. he will get what he desires for.
( ‘Sweet Emotion’ by Aerosmith hits as Scotty reaches both feet, looking very tired from the fight he won. Scotty raises both hands to the hand while the referee checks on the breathless Katherine. The final shots displays Scotty celebrates his victory over his opponent, Katherine Helle as the scene fading into the commercial break. )
(We cut away to the back from the commercial break, and in particular the locker rooms. We see Holly Arrow and Harper Lee, and the two of them seem deep in conversation, discussing both their futures or so it seems.)
Holly Arrow: I’m glad you agreed to this Harper, I think we could do great things over the next few months.
Harper Lee: Guess sometimes you must put your trust in people. Might as well be you.
(Harper grins, still not sure that Holly understood her sense of humor. A smirk from Holly shows that she needn’t have worried.)
Holly Arrow: Why thank you, I feel honored.
Harper Lee: And so, you should… don’t be getting all mushy though.
Holly Arrow: Come on… perhaps just a little?
Harper Lee: No, not even a little. We need to concentrate. No point teaming up and then failing at the first hurdle. We’ve got some huge opportunities on the way, and we need to make good on them.
Holly Arrow: Is that Harper Lee being motivational?
Harper Lee: Yeah… go figure. Don’t be thinking I care about you though.
Holly Arrow: As if…
Harper Lee: Now you sound like one of the brainless bimbos we have hanging around here.

Holly Arrow: We do need to focus. What happens next could be a big deal for us and our careers and we need to make sure we don’t fall flat on out faces.

(Harper nods her head agreeably, before taking a seat on a bench, Holly joining her. It was true, the coming weeks were going to be huge for them both, and potentially pivotal to them going forwards.)
Holly Arrow: So, what’s the strategy for King of Elite?
Harper Lee: Well, as I’m facing Madison Kaline and Sheridan Muller, representing Showdown in a Tri-Brand war, it’s given me the opportunity to put what happened last time I represented this brand in such a match, and gives me the chance to prove once and for that I am the most talented of the former Universal Women’s Champions.
Holly Arrow: I think that goes without saying
Harper Lee: Me too… but there’s nothing like a match that will prove my point categorically. And put me right back where I belong on the ladder. Not that I should have gone anywhere anyway.
Holly Arrow: I get that
Harper Lee: And what about you, how are you feeling ahead of Empress of Elite?
Holly Arrow: Excited… excited that I could finally put some respect on my name and become Empress of Elite, paving my way to the Universal Women’s Championship and the very top of the women’s division.
Harper Lee: It’s a good goal to have… I’ve been there, and it feels great.
Holly Arrow: If we both win at King of Elite Harper, it could literally change our careers. Change our lives. No one will look down on us again.
Harper Lee: Anyone who has ever looked down on me is missing teeth.
Holly Arrow: You know what I mean.
Harper Lee: Yeah, I do.
Holly Arrow: To be known as the best Harper, it’s all I’ve ever wanted.
Harper Lee: And I may not have said it in the past, but I think you’ll get there. I think we both will.
Holly Arrow: Yes, we will, because we’ve not even mentioned POTARA.
(Harper pauses for a moment, they hadn’t mentioned the tag team, and focused what they were going to do individually. Perhaps even more exciting was what they could do unified as a team.)
Holly Arrow: However strong we are Harper, there is no question that we will be stronger as a team.
Harper Lee: I agree. We pool our resources, and there are no limits. Seriously Holly, I believe that, and I hope you do too.
Holly Arrow: I do… I believe that no matter the tag team, whoever it may be, you and I together can defeat them, Even Soul Food Sunday.
Harper Lee: That pair of assholes… they want to think themselves lucky that we are not looking at the Unified TagTeam Championships right now.
Holly Arrow: We focus on the right things now and win our matches at King of Elite… it won’t take long for those opportunities to arise. We’ll get noticed.
Harper Lee: And if we don’t, we’ll make sure that the whole world knows that POTARA will never be ignored. Not ever.
Holly Arrow: Definitely. We’ll claim ALL the things.
Harper Lee: All the things… and leave everyone else in our wake.
Holly Arrow: Like a Tsunami

Holly Arrow: I like that…
Harper Lee: It’s a little-known fact that I have a lot of wisdom to impart.
Holly Arrow: I’m guessing people never got past the insults.
Harper Lee: You’re probably right. I never really gave them a chance.

(They both get to their feet, both grinning from ear to ear.)

(The two then hug, before heading out the locker room, the scene cutting away.)

(‘Superhero (Heroes and Villains)’ by Metro Boomin, Future, and Chris Brown hits over the PA system and Harley Lewis steps out onto the stage looking at the crowd with a massive smile on his face. We’re talking ear-to-ear, an unsettling sight as he makes his way towards the ring under a mixed reaction from the crowd but mostly boos. )
Gina Romano: INTRODUCING FIRST! Harley Lewis!!!!!!!!
Deadprez: Something changed in this man last week, literally Harley Lewis snapped and it will be interesting to see how that will translate in the ring. It makes you wonder what Xander could’ve possibly told him after the loss to Ryan Wilson to see him turn into what we see now.
Gavin Kirkland: I have a feeling Xander himself wouldn’t give us the answer but, from what we heard this week, what might end up happening in the ring could become very interesting. Could he actually manage to change things on Showdown? We’ll have to wait and see.
Eve: Tonight will be an opportunity to put behind him a chapter of his career that didn’t work well as both himself and Ogawa were partners in the Trio of Terror.
(‘Get Going’ by The Muddy Apes blasts throughout the arena as Komatsu Ogawa storms out, Tanaka trying to catch up with him, Komatsu looks to be in a mood for hurting someone. Tanaka smiles pointing at Komatsu who stomps his way up the steel steps and enters the ring!
Gina Romano: ANNND HIS OPPONENT! Accompanied to the ring by Yoshiaki Tanaka! From Tokyo, Japan! Weighing in at 258 pounds! KOMATSU OOOOOOOOGAWAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!
Deadprez: The pressure to perform is on for Komatsu who’s been tasked by our General Manager to step up and show her he wants to stay on Showdown last week. Kennedy promised him a match and I’m not surprised to see it comes against none other than his former stablemate.
Gavin Kirkland: According to his manager, mister Tanaka, Ogawa lacks a killer instinct. Considering the ongoing change from Harley a killer instinct will be required to put down Lewis. We know the big man has the tools, but he needs that edge that will allow him victory. Can he achieve that tonight? We’re about to find out!
( Ding! Ding! Ding! )
Deadprez: AND HERE WE GO! This match is officially underway! Both men move to meet one another dead in the center of the ring, tension is palpable between those two who were on the same crew at one point not too long ago. Harley simply moves up to Ogawa with an intense glare never seen before out of him and Komatsu doesn’t respond as he stands with his arms crossed. Lewis gets closer going forehead to forehead AND OGAWA HEADBUTTS HIM! Harley goes down to a knee but he ends up laughing maniacally as he looks up at Ogawa with a look of crazed defiance in his eyes. I’m telling you, he’s lost it tonight.
Gavin Kirkland: I’m worried when it comes to this whole Killing Joke thing, to be honest. What will he have in store for the whole roster? Or even us?
Eve: Both men ends up locking up in the middle of the ring but Ogawa being stronger shoves Lewis away with ease. They lock-up again, this time Komatsu forces Harley into a corner putting his hands in his face until the official orders him to back off. He does BUT THEN THROWS IN A STIFF AND RESOUNDING SLAP TO HARLEY’S CHEST!!!
Crowd: OOOOOOOOOHHHH!!!!!
Deadprez: Harley clings to his chest BUT THEN SUDDENLY TURNS OGAWA GETTING HIM INTO THE CORNER AND BEGINS TO THROW HASTY PALM STRIKES AT THE MAN!! HE THEN SPITS IN HIS LEAD HAND AND SMACKS OGAWA WITH IT!!!
Gavin Kirkland: Komatsu doesn’t look too happy and he tries to return the favor to Harley grabbing him by the neck and forcing him into the corner! He’s looking to choke Lewis wh… Who’s laughing?? This seems to annoy Ogawa a little bit but then Harley begins to breathe heavy and staring at Ogawa with intensity BUT HE GETS HEADBUTTED BUT HE DOESN’T BUDGE!!
Eve: AND HARLEY THROWS A HEADBUTT OF HIS OWN BEFORE THROWING A KICK TO THE KNEE TRYING TO GET KOMATSU TO BUCKLE! Ogawa is down to a knee as Harley throws punches and elbows at him yet they get blocked and now look it’s mister Tanaka trying to interfere! He just got the official’s attention while Harley is yelling.
Harley Lewis: HE DOESN’T MATTER!! FOCUS HERE REF!! FOCUS ON WHAT MATTERS!! FOCUS ON MEEEEE!!!!! Look at me… LOOK… AT… ME!!!!
Eve: To see Harley give his full focus to the official could be an opening for Ogawa BUT LEWIS THROWS A ROUNDHOUSE KICK TO THE SIDE OF HIS HEAD BEFORE KOMATSU COULD GET BACK TO A FULL VERTICAL BASE!!
Deadprez: Lewis is on the offense now with a series of quick landing jabs hitting Ogawa on the jaw and side of the face. He follows them with some crosses and then a few right hooks! Ogawa looks like a standing human punching bag and now looks dazed from the attacks! He’s staggering, Harley rushes to the ropes AND TAKES HIM DOWN WITH A FLYING KNEE!!
Gavin Kirkland: Ogawa moves to get to a vertical base but gets brought down once more following a quick leg sweep from Harley! Lewis keeps on the pressure with some Muay Thai knee strikes that gets Komatu down to a knee. Into the ropes, Harley goes COLLIDING WITH OGAWA WITH A RUNNING HEADBUTT! Ogawa is still on a knee but looks stunned while Lewis goes to the ropes and tries to take him down with a forearm smash!
Eve: To no avail! He chains things with some knife-edged chops followed by a quick spinning back elbow that drops Ogawa like a log!! Tanaka isn’t pleased from the outside of the ring, Harley on his end is smirking seeing the damage he is inflicting to his opponent as he grabs hold of the back of his head by the hair and forces him upward. A few smacks, to add insult to injury before moving Ogawa into a full nelson FOLLOWED BY A TIGER SUPLEX!! Cover by Lewis!!

Eve: Komatsu with the shoulder up denies Harley the win!
Deadprez: Lewis doesn’t waste time and sends his opponent into a corner with an Irish Whip before throwing some Muay Thai knee strikes against the corner! He is then using the ropes for leverage as he proceeds to stomp a mudhole into Ogawa and walk it dry before applying his boot against the neck of Komatsu! The official warns Lewis who keeps pressing and stops just as the official counts to four saving himself from being disqualified! He backs away but quickly lunges into a European uppercut after he moves Ogawa to his feet and he repeats it again before throwing a series of stiff elbows to the neck and side of the face! This could give Komatsu a headache!!
Gavin Kirkland: Here’s something else that can give a headache: Getting his head slammed into a turnbuckle repeatedly like Harley is forcing upon his opponent right now! The crowd is counting!
Crowd: THREE! FOUR! FIVE! SIX! SEVEN! EIGHT! NINE!
Gavin Kirkland: He’s Cackling???
Crowd: …. TEN!!!
Gavin Kirkland: AND HARLEY SUDDENLY GOES FOR A GERMAN SUPLEX ON AN UNSUSPECTING OGAWA THAT GETS SENT FLYING OVER HIS HEAD AND TO THE CENTER OF THE RING!!! Some fans cheer for this action but Harley clearly doesn’t give a flop about them. Quickly skipping towards Ogawa he moves Ogawa up and sets him up for an inverted DDT that plants the big man! AND THEN HARLEY TRANSITIONS INTO A MODIFIED DRAGON SLEEPER!!
Harley Lewis: NIGHT NIGHT BUDDY!!!! HAHAHAHAHAAH!!! DON’T LET THE BED BUG BITE!!!!
Eve: He’s out of his mind I’ve rarely seen someone behave the way he does around here. But Ogawa is resilient he doesn’t want to go out that way he’s flailing his arms although he looks to be fading away BUT HE THEN HAS A SURGE OF ENERGY AS HE POWERS HIS WAY TO THE TOPES AND GRABS ONTO THE BOTTOM ONE NEARBY!! The official orders Lewis to let go of his opponent and he does so after a few seconds, looking disappointed. Moving into a kip-up or … Should I say looking like a disarticulated puppet moving up to his feet that were SO WIERD he looks at Ogawa and scouts him up biding his time as the bigger man gets up AND THROWS A SPINNING BACK FIST INTO KOMATSU!!
Deadprez: Komatsu is barely holding onto his feet, looking like he’s in that Finish Him post in Mortal Kombat as Harley heads to the ropes and bounces towards Ogawa COLLIDING WITH HIM WITH A RUNNING METEORA!! THE KNEES TO KOMATSU’S FACE AND THE BIG MAN DROPS TO HIS BACK WITH THE FULL WEIGHT OF HARLEY!! COVER BY LEWIS!!

Deadprez: And Ogawa with the kick out! This match continues as Harley looks at the official who confirms the two counts.
Gavin Kirkland: Komatsu rolls to the outside of the ring.
Harley: Awww, come on big guy, where are you going?
Gavin Kirkland: Harley to the ropes gains momentum to baseball slide outside of the ring and behind Ogawa TAKING HIM DOWN WITH A NECK BREAKER! Komatsu was trying to recover under the council of mister Tanaka but Harley isn’t allowing that to happen. Tanaka steps back slowly from the unhinged-looking Lewis who is slowly walking towards him BEFORE QUICKLY TURNING AND RUSHING TO OGAWA PLANTING HIS HEAD ON THE MAT WITH A RUNNING BULLDOG!!
Eve: Komatsu is in trouble as the official from the outside is beginning to make the count! Lewis doesn’t care as he forces his former partner to his feet and scoops him over the shoulder!! There’s a 62-pound difference between the two men folks AND LEWIS DROPS DOWN HIS FORMER FRIEND WITH A POWERSLAM ON THE OUTSIDE FLOOR!!!!!
Deadprez: Lewis laughs at the move and the pained expression on Komatsu as he smacks him behind the head and then helps him to his feet and rolls him inside the ring. He tries for a cover!

Deadprez: Komatsu shoves Harley off of him with a close call!
Gavin Kirkland: Harley to his knees and shrugs but then goes to the ropes hoping on the second rope looking for some aerial offense and waits for Ogawa to get up and face him. He goes into the air BUT IT BACKFIRES AS OGAWA POWERSLAMS HIM TO THE FLOOR!!!
Deadprez: Komatsu Ogawa is now on the offensive with a quick European Uppercut! Followed by a straight right hand AND A SPINNING BACK ELBOW SMASH THAT SENDS HARLEY ON HIS ASS!! Lewis gets up but Ogawa continues the assault! Rapid and powerful knife edge chops then delivered by the man on his former stablemate with the last one landing on the throat of Harley BEFORE PROPULSING HIM INTO THE ROPES WITH A STANDING DROPKICK!
Gavin Kirkland: Harley is moving against the corner getting upward BEFORE GETTING RAN INTO WITH A RUNNING ELBOW SMASH BY OGAWA!!! He rammed into him like a freight train! He then continues the onslaught with a series of elbow smashes to the head and neck of Lewis who’s taking the full force of them until the official orders Komatsu to take a step back.
Eve: Ogawa looks to have something to prove to his former partner tonight! Quick snapmare brings down Harley before getting him in a Boston crab!!! Ogawa is trying to end this right now and Harley is struggling! But look! He is trying to power his way to the ropes and he’s slowly yet painfully crawling to them! AND HE GETS THEM! The official orders breakage from Komatsu who drops Harley BUT THEN THROWS A KNEE TO THE BACK OF HIS HEAD!!!
Deadprez: A cheap shot from Ogawa as the crowd boos while he is grinning, happy about what he just did. He shouts at his opponent in his native tongue before going behind the man and wrapping his logs sized arms around his neck and head he’s trying for a sleeper but Harley struggles and manages to push them both into the ropes! Harley is free and rushes to the opposite side bouncing off the ropes and heading to Ogawa WHO HITS HIM WITH A RUNNING HIGH KICK!!
Gavin Kirkland: Komatsu followed Harley as he ran, Lewis had no idea and he paid the price! Ogawa picks him up followed by an Irish Whi-NO! Irish Coffee! The rip-cord lariat takes down Lewis! Harley is moving to get back on a vertical base once again BUT IS TAKEN DOWN WITH A RUNNING GAMENGIRI!!! Quick cover by Ogawa!

Eve: Close call but not there yet for Ogawa who gets a two out of this string of attacks! He moves behind Harley who is moving to his knees. Komatsu with a superk-NO HARLEY GOT HIM IN AN EXPLODER SUPLEX!! OGAWA GOES FLYING OVER HARLEY’S HEAD AND CRASHES DOWN ON THE MAT BEHIND HIM!! Harley tries to get some offense in now quickly to his feet heading to Komatsu with a clothesline quickly ducked by Komatsu WHO STRIKES BACK WITH A SPINNING HEEL KICK!!! Harley down to a knee AND THEN ON HIS BACK FULLY WITH A SUPERKICK THAT CONNECTS THIS TIME!!
Deadprez: Harley Lewis looks dazed as he gets picked up and scoop slammed by Ogawa followed by a quick standing splash! Cover again by Ogawa but Harley kicks out immediately! Shrugging the man begins to throw quick yet heavy-looking punches on top of Harley’s head in a mounted position before quickly then going to the nearest second ropes. He measures Harley before throwing himself down into a precise and well-aimed elbow drop square on Lewis’ chest!
Gavin Kirkland: Hook kick then dispatched by Komatsu on Harley who was forced to his feet. Lewis staggers, grabbed by the back of the neck HE GETS A HEADBUTT FROM KOMATSU BEFORE GETTING A RIP-CORD YAKUZA KICK SQUARE IN THE FACE!! Down goes Harley under the cheers of mister Tanaka but the massive boos of the crowd.
Eve: I feel like both men will be booed regardless, I mean both are heels after all. This is becoming a one-sided affair though with the way Komatsu has been operating when he took command but Harley has shown us something through his time here is that he is a resilient man.
Deadprez: Agreed, but he will need to punch in some offense once more if he wants to have a shot at victory tonight as he gets whipped into a corner with force from his opponent and ends up sitting against the corner. Komatsu takes a few steps back then charges in WITH A SLIDING KNEE STRIKE AGAINST A SEATED HARLEY LEWIS!! Bah gawd!!
Gavin Kirkland: Quickly running to the opposite corner again, Ogawa looks like a mad bull seeing red as he speeds towards Harley WHO MOVES AWAY!! OGAWA’S SHOULDER KISSES THE RING POST AND HE LOOKS STUNNED!! This is an opportunity for Harley who is working to shake the cobwebs out by hitting his face a few times. Double ax handle to the back of Ogawa from Lewis who grabs Komatsu by the hair and makes his backpedal to the center of the ring.
Eve: Harley with a punch or two to the back of the head then dashes to the ropes looking to gain the moment-OGAWA WITH A SIDEWALK SLAM STOPS HARLEY DEAD IN HIS TRACKS!! The strength gets Harley to almost get up and stagger as Komatsu ends up right behind him AND GOES FOR A GERMAN SUPLEX! He holds his grip around Lewis’ waist AND SENDS HIM INTO ANOTHER SUPLEX!! AND A THIRD THIS TIME CONVERTED INTO A BRIDGE PIN!!!

Eve: BY AN INCH!! LEWIS SAVES HIMSELF!!
Deadprez: Lewis will have to find a way to bounce back into this match if he wants a chance to win as Ogawa is letting out a war cry while Tanaka is yelling that he should finish this match now while he has the chance! Ogawa gets Lewis to his feet, throws a few hard punches to the face of his opponent, AND THEN SETS HIM UP FOR WHAT HE CALLS THE WHISKEY SOUR! THE OVER-THE-SHOULDER BACK TO BELLY PILEDRIVER!!
Gavin Kirkland: This signature move could spell the end of the match for Harley if it’s delivered! Komatsu begins the motion BUT HARLEY SLIPS BEHIND HIM!! Komatsu turns around quickly AND HARLEY BEGINS THE QUICKSILVER METHOD SIGNATURE MOVE!!
Eve: ONE STRIKE TO THE SOLAR PLEXUS! ANOTHER STRIKE TO THE KNEE AND A THIRD SQUARE BETWEEN THE EYES!!! OGAWA IS ON HIS KNEES AND AT HARLEY’S!!!
Deadprez: Harley quickly goes into the ropes going for a dr-AH HELL!! TANAKA TRIPPED HIM FROM OUTSIDE THE RING!! HE SHOULD MIND HIS OWN BUSINESS AND HARLEY IS FUMING!!
Gavin Kirkland: He should focus on Ogawa who is rising up and moving behind him!! Komatsu spins him around going for an Irish whip BUT HARLEY TRANSFORMS THIS INTO A RIPCORD KNEE!! THE QUEEN’S BLESSING WHICH HE QUICKLY FOLLOWS BY THE JUKEBOX BREAKEEEEEER!!!!! DEATH VALLEY DRIVER ON OGAWA THIS CAN SEAL THE DEAL!!!!
Eve: AND HARLEY STARES STRAIGHT AT TANAKA WHO’S NOT MOVING!!!

Deadprez: What a spectacular display for the man who is looking to turn Showdown into his… Uh… Killing Joke! Harley came mighty close to suffering a loss but he managed to pull through following an intense string of offense from Ogawa and tonight’s victory is his!
Gavin Kirkland: Tonight we saw that Ogawa has perhaps that killer Instinct that mister Tanaka said he might not have. What he misses is finition as he came very close to get a win to his name tonight against not only a former partner but a changed man! No shame in this loss for Komatsu as this is something to build on for later! Hopefully, General Manager Street will see it the same way.
( The final shot is of Harley with an unhinged smile on his face as he slowly makes his way to the back by walking backward and staring with intensity at Komatsu who is seen arguing with his manager. )
(We cut to the back, Kyra Phillips standing by with microphone in hand.)
Kyra Phillips: It’s only a couple of weeks now until King of Elite, and someone hoping to be at that event is my guest currently. Jon Kelton, and London, thank you for joining me.
(Jon gives a nod and Londyn smiles sweetly, Kyra doing the same.)
Kyra Phillips: Jon, I must ask… how does it feel to have advanced to the semi-finals of King of Elite, just one step away from representing Showdown in the finals. It must feel great to have come this far?
Jon Kelton: That is a good question Kyra, how does it feel? I guess pride must come into it, because not everyone gets to experience being in this position. Vindicated perhaps?
Kyra Phillips: How so?
Jon Kelton: Coming up short at Road to Redemption, not being in the final reckoning, I knew that there were people that would question me, Jack Ripley and Ryan Wilson being two such examples. Personally, my confidence wasn’t dented, but I knew that there were people that would follow their lead and believe it was a case of the same old, same old when it came to Jon Kelton. Honestly Kyra, I’m not surprised to be here, not at all, because after Road to Redemption I had no doubts that I would be in this position. I was going to make sure of it.
London Zelaya: And neither should you. You’re going to win King of Elite, I know it.
Jon Kelton: I’m certainly going to do everything I can, that’s for sure. But, for anyone would have been listening to me this season, I think I have made it clear on more than one occasion how successful I believed this year was going to be. But it’s all well and good saying it, you must prove it with action. I knew that instead of just saying the words, I had to start making good on my promises. So, when Road to Redemption didn’t finish the way I wanted, I knew King of Elite was my next opportunity. And the moment I was named in the brackets, this was where I knew I had to be. It was where I knew I was going to be.
Kyra Phillips: Tonight, Alex Myers will go up against Adam Lucas for the right to face you in the semi-finals. If you had the choice, who would you choose to face? Any preference?
(Jon shakes his head, and then shrugs his shoulders.)
Jon Kelton: Fact is Kyra, it really doesn’t matter to me. You don’t win events like this without beating the best along the way. And they are two of the best no question. So, Alex or Adam… I don’t care.
Kyra Phillips: That seems like you are sitting on the fence, your fans would no doubt love an answer.
Jon Kelton: And that is my answer… it really doesn’t matter and I don’t mean that to be dismissive. I’ve faced Adam now on countless occasions and lost to him more times than I care to remember. Last time out, I pinned him in a two-one defeat in a two out of three falls match, so I know I could secure a pinfall again to claim my place in the finals. I have faced Alex Myers as well; I know what he brings to the table and that he can defeat anyone on this roster. And as he has been saying all week in his back and forth with Adam, he believes his time is now. That’s going to be one heck of a match.
Kyra Phillips: But you believe that you can beat both?
Jon Kelton: You know what Kyra, yes, I do. I’ve gone on record time and time again that there isn’t a person alive that I don’t believe I can beat, and Adam and Alex are not exceptions to that rule. It doesn’t matter who it is in the finals, it will be my steadfast belief that I can beat them as well and claim the crown.
(London interjects, Jon happy for her to take the mic.)
London Zelaya: Jon has been working harder than ever before and is determined to achieve his goals. And you know what they say, behind every good man is a good woman, do not underestimate the power of love. Jon has been so close on so many occasions, and that is all about to change. I can’t wait to be right beside him when he wins King of Elite.
Kyra Phillips: So, much like Alex Myers, you believe your time is now Jon?
(Jon chuckles to himself and nods his head, confirming the statement.)
Jon Kelton: I do Kyra, I wholeheartedly believe it. This has been the best year of my career, and I have put together some of the best performances of my life, beating some amazing competitors, I cannot let this season end without their being some end product. I’m sick and tired and waiting for success to find me, so instead I am going to take it. As far as I am concerned, this event is do or die for me, so I will do whatever it takes to get to the finals at the expense of either Alex or Adam. I’m going all in on this Kyra… all in to claim that success I, and many others believe I deserve. And when I win King of Elite, and take that crown as my own, then the skies the limit, I will not be stopped. No matter who you are.
Kyra Phillips: It sounds like you are certainly ready Jon. Do you have any closing comments before you go?
(Jon smirks, as London links arms with him.)
Jon Kelton: Closing comments? And I’ll direct them at Alex and Adam if that’s ok? Guys, give it your best tonight, show the world what you can do, but know this. Your efforts will all be in vain, as I will be the one repping Showdown at King of Elite. ‘King Kelton’… yeah, I like the sound of that.

Donovan Duke: I’ve faced many tough opponents in the past until today. She’s another one on my hit list so my answer would be yes.
( Veena enters the ring and quickly takes her entrance gear out. ‘Without you’ by Halsey (feat. Juice WRLD) replaces Veena’s theme music as Ashlynn goes from behind the curtain down to the ring. She looks very happy lucky go tonight but it’s going to be different when the match begins. Ashlynn ignores Veena completely as she enters the ring, keeps playing around with the crowd. )

Donovan Duke: Ashlynn is an interesting one. She may get my attention too if she’s able to beat Veena Adams here tonight. Anything can happen these days so I have no doubt for someone like Ashlynn to pull this upset.

Eve: Veena’s face is contorted in rage as she delivers blow after blow without relenting until it appears there will no longer be Ashlynn by her again! Veena stops, picking Ashlynn back to both feet, and throws her down to the corner. Veena runs in and tries to strike Ashlynn at the corner but Ashlynn catches Veena in her face with a right foot up. Ashlynn goes for a running back elbow but Veena ducks under!….. A KESAGIRI CHOP GOES RIGHT TO ASHLYNN’S NECK!
Deadprez: Ashlyyn fights back! She isn’t backing away this time! She turns back around and knocks Veena back with a Step-Up Enzugiri! Veena falls all the way back to the ropes… LOOKING FOR A SPEAR!
Gavin Kirkland: ASHLYNN RUNS IN AND JUMPS OVER VEENA, TAKING HER DOWN WITH A LOU THESZ PRESS! Ashlynn rolls off Veena.. STEPPING BACK TO BOTH FEET AND CONNECTING VEENA WITH A STANDING MOONSAULT BUT VEENA CATCHES HER WITH BOTH KNEES UP! RIGHT INTO HER GUT!
Donovan Duke: Nice counter by Veena right there. That’s a good aptitude right there.
Eve: Ashlynn holds down her gut and falls from Veena’s knees. Veena slowly rolls back to both knees. Ashlynn tries to get herself upon both feet but VEENA TAKES HER DOWN RIGHT AWAY WITH A JUMPING KNEE STRIKE RIGHT INTO HER FACE! DOWN GOES ASHLYNN!
Deadprez: Veena wastes no time in throwing punches and kicks at Ashlynn like there’s no tomorrow. With each strike landing hard against its target, it seems as if Veena isn’t going to let up anytime soon; every punch felt like a jackhammer pounding into the ground relentlessly!
Gavin Kirkland: The crowd watches in awe as they witness Vena’s impressive display of power and agility; it almost looks effortless from where they were standing! The sound of leather striking flesh echoed throughout the arena while Ashlyn tries desperately to defend herself but could not seem keep up with Venna’s lightning-fast reflexes or powerful strikes that kept coming wave after wave without end!
Eve: Veena is just about to land the last blow but Ashlynn manages to roll down to the outside just in time.
Donovan Duke: Veena put a lot of work in at this point to make Ashlynn reach her climax. You can tell, Veena hunts down Ashlynn like a bounty hunter. She has no bounds. She is going to do everything to stop Ashlynn from winning this match.
Deadprez: Ashlynn gets herself back to both feet by the apron. Veena runs in but ASHLYNN SIDESTEPS AS VEENA RUNS RIGHT TO THE RING’S POST, DIRECTLY HITS HER FACE TO THE POST! Ashlynn manages to outsmart her as she forcefully grabs the back of Veena’s head, gripping her hair tightly. Ashlynn drags Veena down to the barricade behind her… and violently SLAMS Veena’s head against the hard edge of the barricade. The sound of the impact echoes through the area as Veena’s head bounces back from the force of the blow!
Gavin Kirkland: Ashlynn picks Veena back to both feet…. AND DRIVES VEENA’S GUT RIGHT TO THE APRON! Ashlynn holds down Veena and tosses her back inside the ring. Veena doubles over in agony, clutching her stomach as a searing pain radiates through her gut. She stumbles backward, trying to catch their breath, sweat beading on her forehead. She grits her teeth and takes a deep breath, trying to steady herself. Ashlynn makes it all the way up to the top while Veena is recovering…. COMING DOWN FROM THE TOP OF THE CORNER AND TAKING VEENA ADAMS DOWN WITH AN IMPRESSIVE HURRICANRANA!
Donovan Duke: Great move by Ashlynn Quinn. Honestly, these two are surprisingly impressive inside the ring and this match has been pretty much fun so far.
Eve: Veena crashes to the ground as she continues rolling around in pain. Ashlynn crawls down, hooking her leg and looking for a pinfall attempt there!

Gavin Kirkland: Ashlynn plants her feet firmly on the ground and wills their body to move. She takes a deep breath and pushes herself off the ground, using the ground for support. Veena rolls down to the corner behind her and starts leaning, ensuring that she can catch a little break while Ashlynn dominates her right now. Veena grabs the second rope and gets herself back to both feet. Ashlynn jumps down and connects Veena with a running back elbow at the corner!
Eve: WOAH! VEENA CATCHES ASHLYNN WHEN SHE JUMPS!…. Veena wraps her arms around Ashlynn’s waist, lifts her up, and falls backwards! Slamming her onto the mat back-first with a GERMAN SUPLEX! Ashlynn gets to both knees unconsciously…. A CARTWHEEL KICK TAKING ASHLYNN OUT COMPLETELY, CAUSES ASHLYNN’S HEAD TO SNAP BACK QUICKLY, POTENTIALLY CAUSING WHIPLASH!
Donovan Duke: Veena manages to get her payback there. That’s quite a tough one from Veena as much as how Ashlynn reacts to it. It seems…. pretty hurtful.
Eve: Veena doesn’t seem to be done there for what Ashlynn has been trying to do to her. Veena slowly pulls herself back to both feet while Ashlynn tries to reach the bottom rope. Veena walks down to Ashlynn and drags her down to the middle of the ring…..

Deadprez: A STANDING CORKSCREW ELBOW DROP RIGHT ON TO ASHLYNN’S FACE! Normally, people would go for their opponent’s gut but guess Veena doesn’t feel like it. Veena rolls back to both knees, punching and elbow smashing right across Ashlynn’s face! Over and over! Ashlynn was trying to escape by crawling away but there is no way out! Gavin Kirkland: Veena isn’t letting Ashlynn go anywhere soon. She establishes a firm grip on Ashlynn’s sleeve. Veena steps in close to Ashlynn, using her body to unbalance her. Veena lifts her own leg and pivots on her heel, using the momentum to throw Veena over her shoulder and onto the ground! Veena grabs Ashlynn to the driver’s seat and delivers her a stiff shoot kick to the spine of Ashlynn!
Eve: Veena pushes Ashlynn down, hooking her leg and going for a cover!

Veena picks Ashlynn back to both feet and sends her right into the corner. Ashlynn grabs the rope and tries to recover. Veena takes no break as she quickly connects Ashlynn with a palm strike, right hand to Ashlynn’s gut, a hook across Ashlynn’s face before driving a huge right knee directly to her chest!
Gavin Kirkland: Veena tosses Ashlynn down to the middle of the ring. Ashlynn rolls into a kneeling position… VEENA JUMPS OFF THE SECOND ROPE FOR A DIVING EUROPEAN UPPERCUT! A RUNNING PUMP KICK CATCHES VEENA BY HER JAW RIGHT IN THE MID AIR BY ASHLYNN! WHAT A GREAT COUNTER!
Donovan Duke: That was such a vicious kick by Ashlynn. Can we get a replay of that?
Deadprez: I agree, let me see that again.
( The scene displays in slow motion, capturing every detail of the scene. Ashlynn runs towards her target, a look of intense focus on their face as she prepares to deliver a powerful kick. As the camera draws closer, we can see that both women are standing still and time appears to have slowed down around them. Ashlynn’s right foot moves forward with incredible speed and force before connecting with its intended target, Veena Adams’ Jawline with a Pump kick as Veena ends up falling from the air and landing her neck to the ground. )
Gavin Kirkland: Well that was a tough one from Ashlynn. Both women are down but it seems like Ashlynn starts coming back while Veena is in a danger zone as she remains on the ground. Ashlynn moves away from Veena before she begins to climb back up upon the middle turnbuckle. Veena attempts to rise from Ashlynn’s highly effective mid-air attack. Ashlynn goes for a dive!
Deadprez: Wait no! Veena runs and steps up on the second rope. Veena grabs Ashlynn and tosses her down to the ring’s mat! Ashlynn tries to pick herself up… Veena jumps from the top rope and uses her momentum to propel herself forward, grabbing onto Ashlynn’s head with both hands and driving her into the mat! A diving bulldog putting Ashlynn down!
Donovan Duke: We thought it’s going to take a while for Veena to recover from that vicious kick but… I guess Veena proves us wrong.
Eve: Veena doesn’t back down easily. She has been trying to gain herself everything she desires to get and she isn’t here to be underestimated by the likes of Ashlynn Quinn. Veena pushes herself off the mat before slowly crawling down to the corner instead. She starts climbing and Ashlynn stays in the spot that Veena needs….. VEENA DIVES OFF THE ROPE! ‘TWISTED VEENA’ !!! Gavin Kirkland: Well what an ending guys! Donovan lays out Veena as we speak. The National Elite Champion himself is ready for the battle at King of Elite. We can’t wait to see these two elitists tear each other apart soon!

The General Manager of Showdown, Kennedy Street is seen pacing her office, she wears a bejeweled mask over her face protecting herself since what happened last week when Ms. Extreme blasted the gorgeous blonde who ended up suffering what many say is a broken nose though she has denied it. There is a lot on her mind right now and with the King of Elite coming in two weeks, this is another opportunity for Kennedy to really start off hot in the EAW for the new year. She seems to be deep into thought and in that mode everything around her is very oblivious. Heidi Huxley sits at her desk, worrying a little about the GM.)
Kennedy Street: He bailed her out. He really went there and bailed her out? The nerve of Adam Lucas, I swear if he wasn’t so damn good I would fire him. But I will tell you right now honey, Kennie doesn’t do coupes and mutiny. There are a lot of things Kennie doesn’t do and no matter what anyone says, the one in charge here is me.
Heidi Huxley: There isn’t a single person here that is disputing it. We do though need to worry, because it seems like Adam Lucas and Donovan Duke are becoming a bigger problem than we thought, throw in there Ms. Extreme? And we definitely have some issues to deal with.
Kennedy Street: Issues? Honey these are major problems and Kennie is NOT going to turn up like Hurricane Hawk. This is the problem, no one likes change. They see a woman in charge and are threatened by it. What was that one idiot who ran Showdown like four years ago?
Heidi Huxley: Jenny Punk.
Kennedy Street: Right, her. Come on honey. This has been a running joke for a long time. How many women have ran Dynasty and Voltage, we are not counting Veena, bless her heart.
(Heidi thinks for a moment and shakes her head. To her recollection there really hasn’t been a dominant woman promoter for any of the brands, the closest is Punk.)
Heidi Huxley: You really are the only one. Of course, there is going to be kick back, it is why Disney suggested you, Kennedy. You are a former two time World Champion, appealing to the male demographic, a movie star that is a well known name. There isn’t a single person that doesn’t know the clout you carry, and we both know that you wanted this chance to give back to the sport you love. You’re in your early thirties, the total package and lets not5 forget that Ms. Extreme assaulted you last week out of pure jealousy. She wasn’t your hire; she was Hurricane Hawk’s and unfortunately now we have to deal with his further incompetence.
(Kennedy is agreeing with everything that Heidi is saying, but also knows she has a job to do.)
Kennedy Street: EXACTLY honey, but Kennie is still the General Manager and have some things to take care of like the roster, and especially those that have earned their opportunities even if Kennie cannot stand them and why? That is what the General Manager does. With King of Elite in two weeks, the question will be who will represent us, and will Showdown bring home the King?
Heidi Huxley: I would hope that the answer is yes.
Kennedy Street: The answer is yes, honey. Besides, the three that are left in the tournament are more than capable od winning the whole thing, we will know more tonight. Anyway…. How does Kennie look?
Heidi Huxley: Sexy and Flawless like always!
Kennedy Street: Flattery will get you everywhere and….
(But before she can finish her sentence, the door opens and Jack Ripley walks in.)
Jack Ripley: So…. OH! Sorry…. Didn’t mean to walk in while you are wearing that mask. I am glad though that you were able to get that Facial Reconstruction Surgery and fix whatever Ms. Extreme did to your face. Anyway, we need to talk about business.
(Kennedy looks flabbergasted, she is absolutely in shock that Jack Ripley even suggested that she had Facial Reconstruction surgery. Her hand planted flat on her chest, trying to catch a breath while Heidi tries to fan her.)
Heidi Huxley: It’s okay….. it’s okay! He didn’t mean it, I swear! You look beautiful in the mask or not!
(Heidi turns to Jack…)
Heidi Huxley: Say you were joking!
Jack Ripley: Huh?
Heidi Huxley: Just say it!
Jack Ripley: Fine…. I was joking!
(Quickly turning back to Kennedy, Heidi tries to comfort her…)
Heidi Huxley: See, it was just a joke.
Kennedy Street: Kennie did not get facial reconstruction, honey! Just simply protecting my Sexy Flawless Face! But anyway, enough of that. What do you want, Jack?
Jack Ripley: I beat the National Elite Champion last week, a guy that has been nothing short of a thorn in your side. So, my question to you is, I was a Good employee, went out there and beat the Champion, I’m not on the King of Elite card. So, what gives?
(Shaking her head, Kennedy sighs before responding.)
Kennedy Street: You are right honey, a very GOOD employee that deserves to be rewarded. Tell you what, at King of Elite, you can sit in my suite with Kennie and watch King of Elite, our matches from Showdown are set, but Kennie will promise this, after King of Elite, Jack? You will get that opportunity, okay?
(She stretches her hand out waiting for Jack to grab it and as he does, they shake.)
Jack Ripley: I’ll see you at King of Elite.
Kennedy Street: Actually honey, going to need you to suit up next week too.
Jack Ripley: Oh?
Kennedy Street: Heidi? Get us a bottle of wine, honey. Jack and Kennie have a lot to discuss.

(And as Heidi walks out, she closes the door with the camera transitioning to ringside for the second round match in the King of Elite.)
(The camera cuts back to the ring where Showdown ring announcer Gina Romano is ready to start the introductions for the next match.)
Gina Romano: Ladies and gentlemen. The following contest has a THIRTY MINUTE TIME LIMIT, is scheduled for ONE FALL!

Gina Romano: …and it is A QUARTERFINAL MATCH in the KING OF ELITE TOURNAMENT!
(“You Know My Name” by Chris Cornell immediately starts to play as Adam Lucas enters the arena. The crowd is cheering and strongly behind Adam especially after everything he’s been through the last few months, but Adam is as focused as ever as he heads to the ring.)
Gina Romano: Introducing first and making his way to the ring! He is from New York State! Weighing in at 231 pounds! Here is “THE NEXT LEVEL” ADAM LUCAS!
Deadprez: Here comes a very focused and a very determined Adam Lucas as he heads to the ring for this Quarterfinal matchup. He defeated Roberto De La Rosa in the first round a few weeks ago even with odds stacked against Adam.
Eve: Everybody including the referee were playing favorites with Roberto, but Adam pulled through to advance. Tonight, his opponent is just as determined as he is to make it to the Semifinals. After watching Adam annihilate Abel Atami last week, Alex might be in a little bit of trouble tonight if Adam is in that mindset again.
Gavin Kirkland: Can you imagine if Adam makes it to the finals despite Kennedy Street making it a living nightmare for him? Adam Lucas made the finals last year for Showdown and he would love nothing more than to stick it to Kennedy Street and make a back to back year showing in the finals. As you said, Eve, his opponent is not going to make it easy for him.
(Adam enters the ring and takes his corner as his music dies out. Adam waits for his opponent as “Manners” by BAND-MAID starts to play and Alex Myers enters the arena to loud and deafening cheers from the arena crowd. They are also determined and focused for this match as they head to the ring.)
Gina Romano: Introducing his opponent! They are from Auckland, New Zealand! Weighing 180 pounds! Here is “THE GUARDIAN ANGEL” ALEX MYERS!
Eve: The crowd once again showing their love and support for Alex Myers. Both of these Elitists are strong fan favorites on Showdown, so this is going to be a very tough matchup here tonight.
Gavin Kirkland: Alex is on a crusade and a mission to become the first non-binary King of Elite tournament winner in EAW History. They got off to a great start last week with a huge victory over Xander Payne. Tonight is another story.
Deadprez: That’s right. Alex and Adam have met already this season with Alex getting the victory over Adam albeit under not the best circumstances, but will Alex shed the doubt away and get the victory once again and advance to the Semifinals or will Adam show that he is nobody to mess with in his quest to win the tournament. Who will win? We are about to find out.
(Alex enters the ring and takes their corner as the cheers and their music both start to die down. The referee goes to each corner and checks both competitors before calling for the bell.)
(DING! DING! DING!)
Deadprez: Here we go! Bell has rung and we are underway! This is the final Quarterfinal match of the Showdown bracket. The winner of this match takes on Jon Kelton in the Semifinals next week. Adam and Alex meet up in the center of the ring.
Eve: We have a lockup right now and Adam is easily overpowering Alex right now and backing them up right towards the ropes. They reach the ropes and the referee is asking for a clean break to which both competitors oblige.
Gavin Kirkland: They go back to the center of the ring and try to lockup again, but once again, Alex is overpowered. This time Alex is pushed back into the corner. The referee is asking for another clean break.
Deadprez: Once again, they oblige. WAIT A SECOND! ADAM TRIES TO FIRE OFF A QUICK FOREARM, BUT ALEX BLOCKED IT! Alex throws a boot to the gut and that staggers Adam back a little. Alex climbs up to second rope as Adam turns back around–
Gavin Kirkland: ALEX JUMPS OFF THE SECOND ROPE FOR A CROSSBODY, BUT ADAM CAUGHT THEM!! Adam has a hold of Alex and Adam just SLAMS HIM DOWN to the mat. Not exactly the best strategy at the moment for Alex to use.
Eve: Once again, Alex really shouldn’t try to match a power game with Adam Lucas. There is too much of a size difference for that to work as often as they want. Alex needs to rely on their speed and quick attacks again.
Deadprez: Adam brings Alex back to their feet and whips them to the ropes. Alex rebounds as Adams bends down FOR A BACK BODY DROP BUT ALEX LANDS ON THEIR FEET! Alex hits the ropes on the other side.
Eve: Adam catches Alex, but Alex wraps their legs around Adam’s neck and takes him for a ride with a nice headscissor takeover. Adam sent inside out towards the ropes as he scrambles to get back to his feet.
Gavin Kirkland: Adam caught off guard with that headscissors as they lean on the ropes, BUT HERE COMES ALEX LOOKING TO CLOTHESLINE ADAM OVER THE TOP ROPE—
Eve: WAIT A SECOND! ALEX CHANGED COURSE AND JUST HEADBUTTS ADAM IN THE GUT AND THAT SENDS ADAM THROUGH THE ROPES AND HE TUMBLES TO THE FLOOR!
Deadprez: Creative offense by Alex Myers as they get back to their feet and run full speed towards the back ropes to get as much momentum as possible as they DIVE THROUGH THE ROPES AND TAKE ADAM DOWN WITH A BEAUTIFUL SUICIDE DIVE! WHAT A MOVE FROM THE GUARDIAN ANGEL!
Gavin Kirkland: This is exactly what Alex did last time against Xander Payne to help lead them to victory and they are starting to build up that momentum again. Alex is now on the apron waiting for Adam to get back to his feet.
Eve: Adam is back up AND ALEX JUMPS OFF THE APRON AND CATCHES ADAM IN THE SIDE OF THE HEAD WITH THAT DOUBLE AXE HANDLE FROM THE APRON! ALEX IS CERTAINLY ON FIRE NOW!
Deadprez: Adam is still on his feet after that shot, but Alex is still on the attack with another kick to the gut. Alex has a handful of Adam’s hair AND SMASHES HIS FACE INTO THE APRON! That’s what Alex needs to do. Keep Adam off kilter so they can do as much damage as they can.
Gavin Kirkland: Alex turns Adam around before mustering up all their strength to FORCE ADAM BACK AND ADAM GOES BACK FIRST INTO THE EDGE OF THE RING! ADAM CERTAINLY FELT THAT ONE BUT HE IS STILL ON HIS FEET!
Deadprez: Alex fires off a nice roundhouse kick that catches Adam in the temple and that takes him down to a knee. Now Alex decides to get back onto the ring apron and they have their feet on the bottom rope.
Gavin Kirkland: Alex takes a quick second to look back and they catch Adam getting back to his feet. Alex takes advantage AND SPRINGS FROM THE ROPES! ALEX LOOKING FOR THAT MODIFIED COFFIN DROP–
(CRACK!)
Deadprez: OH MY GAWD! ALEX WENT FOR THAT COFFIN DROP, BUT ADAM MOVED AT THE LAST MINUTE AND ALEX CRASHED AND BURNED! NOBODY WAS HOME!
Eve: But did you guys hear that crack on landing? Alex not only hit the floor, their head hit the ring steps and hit them HARD! LOOK AT THEM HOLDING THEIR NECK! THAT WAS AN UGLY LANDING! THAT COULD HAVE BROKEN THEIR NECK! I hope that Alex is alright.
Gavin Kirkland: The referee is down there checking on Alex to make sure that they can continue this match. Their neck landed right on the edge of the ring steps. Adam is being respectful and he rolls back into the ring and he lets the referee do their job.
(The crowd starts to cheer as the Specialists Champion and Alex’s really good friend ARIA jogs down to the ring as she just saw that ugly landing Alex just had moments ago.)
Deadprez: Interesting development we have right now as ARIA heads to the ring. She immediately heads towards her friend Alex. Alex has used the ring steps and ring skirt to pull themself back to their feet, but here comes ARIA as she helps Alex the rest of the way up.
(Alex is back to their feet, but is a little surprised to see ARIA out at ringside helping them up.)
Alex Myers: (off-mic) ARIA? What are you doing out here?
ARIA: (off-mic) That was a horrible landing and I couldn’t just sit back and watch. I had to see if you are doing alright.
Alex Myers: (off-mic) I’m fine. I can keep going.
ARIA: (off-mic) Are you sure, Alex?
(Alex gives ARIA a quick pat on her arm of confidence.)
Alex Myers: (off-mic) Trust me. I’m fine.
(ARIA nods as the referee slides back into the ring with Alex Myers quickly following suit.)
Deadprez: You gotta give it to this young competitor. Who knows how much damage was done with that horrible landing after the missed Coffin Drop, but Alex is still continuing on with this match. Is it a smart move on Alex’s part?
Eve: That will remain to be seen, but all we know is that quit is not a word that Alex Myers has in their vocabulary. Broken, beaten, or scarred, Alex will compete until they absolutely can’t. The crowd knows that too and they are cheering Alex for getting back to their feet.
Gavin Kirkland: It’s admirable, but that also just painted a huge bullseye on Alex’s neck. Right now the referee is double checking with Alex to see if they really want to continue. Once again, Alex wants to continue and the referee motions for the match to continue.
Eve: That’s all that Adam needs to hear as he runs right to Alex Myers and starts PUMMELING ALEX! Lefts and rights have Alex sitting in the corner trying to block as many shots as they can. Adam has thrown a few shots at the back of the neck and I think we just saw Alex wince.
Gavin Kirkland: The referee pushes Adam away from Alex and to get him away from the corner. Alex is slowly making it back to his feet AND ADAM LUCAS FROM OUT OF NOWHERE WITH A STINGER SPLASH THAT SQUASHES ALEX IN THE CORNER!
Eve: Adam grabs Alex’s head and lifts them up so they are sitting on the top turnbuckle and look at Adam quickly follows. Adam tries to lock up again, BUT ALEX IS TRYING TO FIGHT ADAM FOR WITH REPEATED RIGHT HANDS TO ADAM’S HEAD!
Deadprez: BUT ADAM LUCAS WITH A HEADBUTT THAT DAZES ALEX! Adam locks up Alex’s head again as he is also on the top turnbuckle BEFORE TAKING ALEX OVER AND THEY GET DROPPED WITH A DANGEROUS SUPERPLEX!
Gavin Kirkland: ALEX IS ONCE AGAIN RUBBING THEIR NECK AFTER THAT SUPERPLEX! Adam took a little damage from that superplex, but he is able to roll over and hook Alex’s leg for the cover!

Deadprez: ALEX MYERS KICKS OUT RIGHT BEFORE THREE! It’s hard to believe that that was only the first cover of the match. Honestly, I wouldn’t have been surprised if the match would have been over there.
Eve: Me either, Prezzy. Now that Adam knows that Alex’s neck is hurting them and being the veteran that he is, he is going to exploit that injury as much and as often as possible in order to win the match.
Gavin Kirkland: It’s nothing personal. It’s just the course of business to win the match. They both want to win this match and they are both willing to do whatever it takes to win. Now Adam is back to his feet and grabs both of Alex’s legs.
Deadprez: Adam drags Alex close to the ropes before falling back AND ADAM SLINGSHOTS ALEX AND ALEX GOES NECK FIRST INTO THE TOP ROPE! Alex manages to hang onto the top rope as they cough after impact. That certainly didn’t feel good. \Eve: Here comes Adam and he looks to lock in a Sleeper hold, BUT ALEX SLIDES DOWN AND WRAPS THEIR LEGS AROUND ADAM’S WAIST, BUT ADAM GRABS THEIR LEGS AND LIFTS THEM UP!
Deadprez: Adam looks to drop Alex neck first on the top rope once again, BUT ALEX MANAGES TO GRAB HOLD OF THE BACK OF ADAM’S NECK AND THEY COUNTER WITH A NICE WHEELBARROW BULLDOG AND ADAM GOES FACE FIRST INTO THE CANVAS!
(The camera cuts quickly to ARIA, who lets out a sigh of relief before cheering Alex on to keep fighting.)
Gavin Kirkland: Alex might have just found themself a moment to catch a breather after those last few impactful moves that they had to endure. We also see that ARIA is still at ringside cheering Alex on, so I think it’s safe to say that ARIA will not be leaving ringside during this match.
Deadprez: Alex has made it back to their feet as has Adam and ALEX TAKES ADAM DOWN WITH A CLOTHESLINE! Adam is back up AND ALEX TAKES HIM DOWN WITH ANOTHER CLOTHESLINE! Adam is back up a third time AND NOW ALEX HITS A LOU THESZ PRESS!
Eve: ALEX IS THROWING LEFTS AND RIGHTS OF THEIR OWN INTO ADAM’S FACE! Adam is blocking the shots and he manages to easily push Alex off of him to get a breather of his own. Adam starts to back up towards the ropes–
Deadprez: BUT ALEX KNEW THAT WAS COMING! ALEX DELIVERS A BASEMENT DROPKICK RIGHT TO ADAM’S FACE! Adam is now on the apron AND ALEX DELIVERS A BASEBALL SLIDE AND THAT SENDS ADAM BACK TO THE RINGSIDE FLOOR!
Gavin Kirkland: Adam is down on the floor again as he gets back to his feet, BUT NOT FOR LONG AS ALEX JUST LAUNCHED THEMSELF OVER THE TOP ROPE AND THEY TAKE ADAM DOWN WITH A TOPE CON HILO!
Eve: These high risk moves might not be the smartest move on Alex’s behalf. Even if they hit them, they still take a little damage. Look at Alex rubbing the side of their neck after they get back to their feet. Now they find their way back to the apron.
Deadprez: Alex is once again waiting for Adam to get back to his feet and as soon as he does, ALEX JUMPS FROM THE APRON AND LOOKS TO HIT A HURRICANRANA–
Gavin Kirkland: OH NO! ADAM CAUGHT THEM! ADAM HAS ALEX’S LEGS AND NOW ALEX IS IN THE SLINGSHOT POSITION! THIS COULD BE VERY DANGEROUS RIGHT HERE! Who knows what Adam could do-
(BAM!)
Deadprez: OH GOOD GAWD! ADAM JUST SWUNG ALEX HEAD FIRST RIGHT INTO THE SIDE OF THE RING STEPS! Another horrible meeting with the ring steps. Alex just falls into a heap on the floor. I can’t tell if they are moving.
Eve: Here comes ARIA! She wants to see for herself that Alex is alright. Now we can tell that Alex is moving. Adam has kept his distance long enough and he rolls Alex back into the ring. Adam quickly follows before hooking the leg for the cover.

Gavin Kirkland: ALEX MANAGES TO KICK OUT RIGHT BEFORE THE THREE COUNT! You probably heard it yourselves, but you can hear ARIA in the background cheering that Alex is still in this match.
Deadprez: You would think that Adam would not be happy that Alex kicked out, but I think he realizes that he is going to have to throw anything and everything he can in order to win this match. Neither of the competitors know the meaning of the word quit.
Eve: Adam is waiting for Alex to get back to his feet in order to continue his assault. Alex has got to be feeling the damage a little bit now because they have not only crashed into the ring steps once, but TWICE!
Deadprez: That neck has got to be hurting Alex, but you would never hear them admit it. But Alex has made it back to their feet and ADAM FIRES OFF A DISCUS PUNCH BUT ALEX DUCKS IT! Adam tries the discus punch from the other side AND ALEX DUCKS IT AGAIN!
Gavin Kirkland: Alex now firing off those martial arts kicks to Adam’s ribs in order to weaken that core strength advantage that Adam has over them. Alex tries to fire a kick to the side of the head, BUT ADAM DUCKS IT!
Eve: NOT QUICK ENOUGH AS ALEX FIRES A BICYCLE KICK THAT CATCHES ADAM IN THE SIDE OF THE HEAD AND TAKES HIM DOWN TO THE CANVAS! Alex hits the ropes AND LANDS RIGHT ON TOP OF ADAM WITH A RUNNING SENTON!
Gavin Kirkland: Alex is pulling out all stops in order to win this match. Alex hits the ropes again and HITS A LEG DROP ACROSS ADAM’S THROAT! Alex takes an opportunity AND THEY KICK ADAM LUCAS RIGHT IN THE FACE! THAT COULD HAVE BROKEN ADAM’S NOSE!
Deadprez: No blood from the boot, but Alex climbs up to the top rope and doesn’t waste a moment BEFORE THEY JUMP FROM THE TOP ROPE AND THEY CONNECT WITH THE ROTATING 360 FROG SPLASH! WHAT A MOVE FROM ALEX AS THEY SCRAMBLE INTO THE COVER!

Gavin Kirkland: OH THE NEAR FALL! ADAM GOT HIS SHOULDER UP RIGHT BEFORE THREE! This has been a very hard hitting match between two of the best in EAW. Naturally you can only see these two on SHOWDOWN!
Eve: Gotta love the brand pride from Gavin Kirkland, but he is right. These two call Showdown home and they are showing such intensity, heart, and desire in this match. They want to win this match. They want to advance to the Semifinals to make themselves one match closer to accomplishing their goals.
Deadprez: Adam is holding his ribs because he had the wind knocked out of him, but Alex picks him up and locks his head up before taking him back down with a snap suplex. Adam quickly gets back to his feet.
Eve: BUT ALEX CLOBBERS ADAM WITH A EUROPEAN UPPERCUT RIGHT UNDER THE CHIN! THAT KNOCKS ADAM BACK INTO THE CORNER! Alex runs full speed into the corner and jumps!
Gavin Kirkland: ALEX WENT FOR A MONKEY FLIP IN THE CORNER! Adam was taken over BUT HE LANDS ON HIS FEET! Alex gets back to their feet and goes for a clothesline, but Adam ducks it!
Deadprez: Alex hits the ropes and rebounds, BUT ADAM CATCHES HIM WITH A SLEEPER HOLD! SLEEPER HOLD RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RING! ALEX IS TRYING TO GET FREE BUT ADAM HAS THAT SLEEPER IN TIGHT!
(ARIA is shown slapping the ring apron and yelling for Alex to keep fighting.)
Gavin Kirkland: We see ARIA still willing Alex to keep fighting and win this match. Alex is trying to pull themself to the ropes, BUT ADAM JUST DRAGS ALEX BACK TO THE CENTER OF THE RING! THEY ARE STILL FIGHTING BUT THEY ARE STARTING TO SLOW!
Eve: Alex is starting to fade right now. If Alex passes out, then this match is over and Adam Lucas advances to the semifinals. Alex is still swinging trying to land a shot on Adam but the punches are getting slower and slower.
Deadprez: I think they are out! I THINK ALEX MYERS IS OUT! ALEX IS NOW SITTING ON THE MAT AND ADAM HAS THAT SLEEPER HOLD STILL IN TIGHT! The referee now goes over to do the standard check.
(The referee lifts Alex’s arm and drops it for the first time.)
Referee: (off-mic) ONE!
Eve: There’s the first drop. If Alex’s arm drops three times, they are out and the match is over. If Alex is still conscious, they need to come up with something and FAST!
(The referee lifts Alex’s arm again and drops it for the second time.)
Referee: (off-mic) TWO!
Gavin Kirkland: There’s the second drop. We might be one drop away from seeing our second semifinalist.
(The referee picks up Alex’s arm for the third and final time and drops it once more.)
ARIA: (off-mic) COME ON ALEX!!!
Eve: The arm has dropped for the third time! This match is over! Adam has wo–
(Before their arm fully drops, Alex stops their arm and starts shaking it.)
Deadprez: IT’S NOT OVER YET! ALEX IS STILL IN THIS MATCH! COULD IT BE INNER STRENGTH? COULD IT BE ARIA GIVING ALEX THE POWER TO KEEP FIGHTING? WHO KNOWS? BUT LOOK AT ALEX NOW!
Eve: ALEX IS FIGHTING BACK! ALEX IS STARTING TO MAKE IT BACK TO THEIR FEET! ADAM IS TRYING TO KEEP THAT SLEEPER ON ALEX, BUT ALEX IS STARTING TO FIRE SHOTS TO THE RIBS!
Gavin Kirland: One shot after the other AND ALEX MYERS IS FREE! Alex is still feeling the effects of the sleeper hold but they are still in this match and listen to this crowd go absolutely crazy for this match.

Eve: They are just laying into each other right now but Adam still has the power advantage and he takes advantage and he keeps firing forearms in Alex’s face until they reach the ropes. Adam whips Alex to the ropes. Alex rebounds and looks to go for a headscissors–
Deadprez: BUT ADAM STOPS THEM! He stops the headscissors right in its tracks and now Alex is on Adam’s shoulder. ADAM LOOKING FOR A POWERSLAM, BUT ALEX SPINS OUT AND COUNTERS INTO A MODIFIED TORNADO DDT! ADAM LANDS HARD ON HIS HEAD!

Eve: If you would have looked over at ARIA, she thought the same thing. I mean we all thought that Doctor Sleep would be enough to finish Adam Lucas off, but Adam is showing the dedication and grit that has made him a former champion.

(ARIA looks over at the timekeeper’s table and she sees what she has been looking for. She reaches over and grabs a towel from under the table. Nobody really saw her going for the towel because they are all so focused on what’s going on in the ring.)
Deadprez: ALEX IS STILL FIGHTING! WHAT HEART AND SPIRIT BEING SHOWN BY THE GUARDIAN ANGEL! THEY WILL NOT QUIT, BUT THEY HAVE TAKEN SO MUCH DAMAGE TO THE NECK THIS ENTIRE MATCH!
Eve: ADAM IS NOW KICKING! ADAM IS KICKING THE BACK OF ALEX’S NECK! THE HEEL OF ADAM’S BOOT KICKING ALEX OVER AND OVER AGAIN! RIGHT IN THE BASE OF THE NECK! ADAM LUCAS IS BEING RELENTLESS RIGHT NOW, BUT ALEX WILL NOT GIVE UP!
Deadprez: NO THEY WON’T! THEY WOULD RATHER GET INJURED THAN GIVE UP A MATCH BY QUITTING! YOU HAVE TO ADMIRE THE PRIDE! ALEX IS TRYING THEIR BEST TO FIND THAT LAST BIT OF POWER TO GET TO THE ROPES.

(ARIA is seen holding the towel thinking about if she really wants to do this, knowing what the end result will be if she does this. Ultimately, with tears in her eyes, she makes her decision about what she needs to do.)
(The towel lands right next to the referee and it takes a few seconds for the referee to see it, but they do and they know what that means.)
Deadprez: WHAT DID SHE JUST DO? DID I SEE WHAT I THINK I SAW ARIA DO?
Referee: (off-mic) THAT’S IT! RING THE BELL! IT’S OVER!!
(DING! DING! DING!)
(The bell has rung and the referee has Adam release the Iconic triangle choke. Adam is sitting on the mat wondering what is going on as the referee goes over to ring announcer Gina Romano to explain their decision.)
Gina Romano: Ladies and gentlemen! I have been informed by the referee that ARIA has thrown in the towel on behalf of Alex Myers. Therefore, the winner of this match as a result of a FORFEIT and ADVANCING TO THE SEMIFINALS OF THE KING OF ELITE TOURNAMENT… ADAM LUCAS!
(“You Know My Name” starts playing again as Adam Lucas rises to his feet. The crowd is cheering for Adam, but not as loudly due to most of the crowd still in shock about what just happened.)
Deadprez: Well there you have it, ladies and gentlemen. The referee has ruled this match a technical knockout and Adam Lucas has advanced into the Semifinals of the King of Elite tournament.
Gavin Kirkland: You don’t see too many forfeits and throwing in the towel in wrestling? Come on! This isn’t boxing.
Eve: I don’t see why not. The forfeit was because the competitor is deemed unfit to continue, so the decision fits. ARIA didn’t think that Alex should go on with the match, so she threw in the towel. There we go.
(The referee raises Adam’s arm in victory as ARIA rolls into the ring to check on Alex, who really hasn’t moved since Adam released the triangle choke.)
Deadprez: That was an AMAZING match! This is what EAW and our business is all about. Fighting with all your heart for moments like this. The chance of becoming King of Elite. Adam and Alex showed so much heart and neither would quit until the very end.
Eve: Alex had taken so much damage throughout the match on their neck that Adam’s triangle choke had to be causing maximum torture. His really good friend ARIA just couldn’t take seeing Alex go through that.
(Adam takes one last look at ARIA checking on Alex before he exits the ring and heads up the entrance ramp.)
Gavin Kirkland: She couldn’t take the risk of seeing them possibly receiving permanent damage, so that’s why she threw in the towel for Alex. Not being malicious, but because she loves and cares for him.
Deadprez: Alex Myers should not feel bad in the slightest. They fought with absolutely EVERYTHING! They put on a grand performance, but at the end of the day, the neck damage was just too much of an obstacle to overcome.
Eve: Look at the crowd, a few of them are giving both of these athletes a nice little ovation for the hard work shown in this match. Both Alex and Adam are fan favorites in EAW. They didn’t want to see either competitor lose, but sadly, it has to happen.
Gavin Kirkland: That’s very true. They both threw everything but the kitchen sink at each other in order to win this match. As you said, Alex and Adam both fought hard, but it was the expert exploitation of Alex’s neck damage obtained in the match that told the tale. Adam Lucas is now in the Semifinals of the King of Elite tournament.
Deadprez: That’s right. Adam Lucas will now take on Jon Kelton next week to see who will be Showdown representative in the King of Elite finals. Alex Myers gave a commanding performance and we offer congratulations for such a great job, but Adam Lucas picked up the victory and we offer our congratulations and good luck to him next week.
(The final shot shows Adam taking in his victory at the top of the entrance ramp as ARIA is in the ring still taking care of Alex, who is starting to finally come around as the camera cuts elsewhere.)
(As the camera transitions backstage, Kyra Phillips is standing by with a microphone in hand as she looks for her next interview and gets the scoop for the fans watching.)
Kyra Phillips: Hello Showdown faithful and the EAW Universe! I was supposed to speak with Ms. Extreme tonight, as you know she was arrested last week after striking Kennedy Street during the Double Contract Signing and we are told that she is not here, so I won’t be able to speak with her tonight. Back to you Dea….
(As she was about to finish, a hand came across the screen, it was none other than Kassidy Heart covering the mic. She then shakes her head.)
Kassidy Heart: No, see you do have time to have an interview with someone even greater than Camille. Isn’t it obvious that she made her own bed and now has to sleep in it. No one advised her to jump into my business. She chose that. Kyra, that is what Showdown has been all about, a choose your own adventure where we all get to pick which path we go in the fork on the road, we all saw what Camille did. After taking some time off for whatever reason after Pain for Pride, she decided it was going to be a good idea to attack me when I was assisting Impact and making sure that my friend would walk out as the Answers World Champion, but unfortunately that is never the case, right?
Kyra Phillips: She was hired by Hurricane Hawk and….
(Kassidy though doesn’t want to hear anymore and cuts her off immediately.)
Kassidy Heart: I know that you are supposed to be the interviewer here, but the way I look at it, this was never a scheduled interview to begin with and so I don’t need to follow by those same rules and regulations because technically, you’re not asking the questions, I am freely giving you information out of the goodness of my own heart, are we clear?
Kyra Phillips: Uh… yes.
Kassidy Heart: Are we clear!?
Kyra Phillips: Crystal.
Kassidy Heart: Good. What has happened the last few weeks? The same thing that happens with Camille every week. She barks, growls, comes out, can’t wrestle worth a lick, brawls instead, throws furniture, breaks every rule, things go into chaos and before you know it, security Is out there to split us all up. She is incapable of having a wrestling match, Kyra that is why I know at King of Elite I’m going to beat her rather quickly. Ms. Extreme had a great run as Universal Women’s Champion, she is the longest reigning and that’s all great, but all records can and will be broken, yet people seem to forget what I have done in the EAW as well and what I will continue doing. But when it comes to Ms. Extreme, what happened to her last week?
Kyra Phillips: She went to jail.
Kassidy Heart: That is right, she was beaten down with night sticks and thrown in jail, but was bailed out and am I or Impact or Kennedy Street, our esteemed General Manager supposed to worry about that? After she brutally broke her nose, what else did anyone expect? History is always going to repeat itself when it comes to Ms. Extreme and Kassidy Heart. She finds a way to screw things up for herself, Kyra but Kassidy Heart? Never. Not once do I allow anything to get in the way, I have not made my whole life about destroying things. Camille? She wants to say [BLEEP] Disney and all that hot garbage, but it’s all a ruse, it’s a way for her to hide the jealousy she carries on women that are better than her, how stale she has stayed in this business, especially after losing the Universal Women’s Championship. Well, guess what Kyra, come two weeks from tonight? There is going to be NOTHING that will stop me from exposing her and what is going to happen is one of two things, she is either going to continue this and end up on the streets begging for a job? Or assimilate as Disney is going nowhere.
(Kassidy pauses for a moment, she then looks over at Kyra and smirks.)

(Suddenly….. Ms. Extreme comes out of nowhere and hammers Kassidy from behind. Kyra quickly escapes out of the way.)

(‘WAR’ by grandson is heard playing up through the speakers to a loud mixed reception from the audience, mostly dominated with boos, as Jake Smith makes his way out to the stage spreading his arms in the air while having his Answers World Championship belt around his waist. Jake Smith is unquestionably the beloved champ wherever he goes, but in a situation like the one he’s in with Impact, and in Impact’s hometown specifically, that is not the case. Jake however does not seem to care much about it as he holds up the belt before starting to walk down the ramp and finally stopping at the ringside area ready to watch this matchup here tonight like he was set to.)
Gina Romano: PLEASE WELCOME… THE ANSWERS WORLD CHAMPION, JAKE SMITH!
(Shortly after, ‘The Leaving Song Pt. II – AFI’ is heard replacing ‘WAR’ to a huge mixed reception from the audience as Hans Grayson makes his presence felt coming out to the stage with a huge smirk on his face. Hans stares at the audience for a while, before looking back at the ring which he starts making his way to wasting no time, clearly looking ready for the challenge he has ahead of him tonight.)

Deadprez: Here he comes, ladies and gentlemen! Hans Grayson is here and although not the favorite heading into this matchup, he looks ready to shock the world and willingly go through the biggest challenge of his career to date!
Eve: Yup. It’s no secret that this is Hans Grayson’s biggest match to date, and that he has to step up the plate here tonight if he really wants to hang on as long as possible. But, on the other hand, let’s not forget what Hans Grayson has been able to bring to the table ever since his arrival, though. This man has been on absolute fire, always ready to do whatever it takes to keep elevating, and that is the spirit needed in a company like Elite Answers Wrestling!
Deadprez: Although Hans Grayson pulling out the upset here tonight would be arguably the biggest shocker of all time, we can’t really deny that he has always had the tools to make it go his way when it really matters..

(‘M3tamorphosis’ blasts through the speakers once again as the crows goes berserk in reaction to what just transpired as Impact releases the submission move he had on Hans Grayson, before getting back up to his feet with the help of the referee, who holds his arm up in victory, thus acknowledging him as the winner. Impact then smirks staring at Jake Smith who is looking at him with an unimpressed facial expression on his face, which doesn’t mean much to Impact whatsoever as he then quickly gets on the top turnbuckle, starting to celebrate the well-earned victory he was just able to pick up.)
Gina Romano: LADIES AND GENTLEMEN… HERE IS YOUR WINNER… IIIIIIIMPAAAAAAACTTTTTTT!!!!
Deadprez: Now THAT was a Main Event worthy match right here, ladies and gentlemen! What a match we were just able to witness here tonight! What a wonderful contest! That was amazing from the get-go, and I really thought that both competitors put it all on the line!
Eve: At the end it was Impact and only Impact who was able to come out on top though, and thus he was successfully able to to get his message across, and show us that he’s done playing around ever since losing the Answers World Championship and that when his chance to win back his title comes around, he will show no mercy.
Gavin Kirkland: And look at this kid Hans Grayson! He might have lost, but we have absolutely no reason to take ANYTHING away from him! Although he lost, it was Impact which as a point alone speaks volumes, and after the performance he put on, I think it’s safe to say that he secured his name a boost in the power rankings EVEN with the eventual result being a heartbreaking loss!
Deadprez: Yeah, Hans Grayson was able to hang with Impact to the surprise of many, and even give him one hell of a fight which I’m sure that no one is ever going to forget, even Impact himself, and that one, for someone who’s as relatively new to this as Hans Grayson, actually means a lot.
Eve: Wonderful job by the Rookie right here, but Impact was just an opponent that got the better of him, and at the end of the day that was anything but a loss shame can be found in. Impact gains all of the momentum by his side ahead of King of Elite, and if anything, if Jake Smith doesn’t want to lose the Answers World Championship soon after winning it, he has to be aware of the amount of drive Impact will come at him with!
Gavin Kirkland: I am pretty sure he is, but we’re still two weeks away! In conclusion, Impact was just able to conquer one of the obstacles that were present in his way here tonight, and the further time goes, the closer he is to running it back with Jake Smith!
