Rising Star of the Week
Hans Grayson
This week’s Rising Star of the Week was Hans Grayson! At Pain for Pride, Hans competed in a New Breed Championship match against Caroline, who has had a fantastic title reign and proved to be an impressive Champion. At Pain for Pride however, that reign would come to an end thanks to Hans, who’d leave the event as the New Breed Champion! This is Hans Grayson’s first ever Championship win in EAW, and there’s no greater stage for an accomplishment like that than on the biggest show of the entire year. This was an amazing moment for Hans, so congratulations to the New Breed Champion!
Beef of the Week
Kassidy Heart vs Dr. Bethany Blue
The Beef of the Week for this week was between Kassidy Heart and Dr. Bethany Blue! These two have years of history with each other, and that history has caused this match to become one of, if not the most personal match at Pain for Pride 16. Their promos throughout the week definitely reflected this, as these two were already two of the very best in the entire company, but took things to another level against each other this week. These two were preparing for one of the most anticipated matches at Pain for Pride and made it clear that they wanted to destroy each other and so much more. Things were beyond heated between these two, and this feud created an amazing week of promos between them.
Show of the Week
Pain for Pride 16
This week’s Show of the Week was Pain for Pride! Pain for Pride every year has extremely high expectations as it is the biggest event of the entire year, yet once again this show managed to exceed those expectations entirely. All four World Championship matches were match of the year candidates, and that’s not even including all of the other matches such as Andre Walker versus Bronson Daniels, Cameron Ella Ava versus Sienna Jade, TLA versus Hikari Kanno and more. This show from start to finish was full of surprises, star making victories and some of the best performances you’ll ever see. Pain for Pride once again delivered, ending season 16 on a high note with an incredible show from the start of day one to the end of day three!
Match of the Week
Methuselah vs Drake King
This week’s Match of the Week was Methuselah versus Drake King, the ninth Barbed Wire Massacre! This match was just unbelievable from start to finish. Knowing the two Elitists involved it was always going to be fantastic, but in the end it turned out to be much more than that, exceeding the already high expectations and ending an already incredible Pain for Pride on an extremely high note. With how personal things were with these two there was absolutely nothing held back, and this show-closing match would turn out to be an amazing way to end Pain for Pride. Both Elitists had performances that showed everyone exactly why they’ve made it so far in the first place.
Promoer of the Week
Sheridan Müller
This week’s Promoer of the Week is Sheridan Müller! Sheridan Müller competed in the Cash in the Vault ladder match at Pain for Pride, and as always this was very competitive even before they entered the ring. Everyone did their best throughout the week, but Sheridan Müller was at the top of her game! She managed to maintain her already amazing quality while spending the entire week putting out excellent promotional videos one after the other. She did amazing this week for one of her biggest matches since returning over a year ago, and by the time Pain for Pride came around, there was no doubting whether or not she was ready.
Champion of the Week
Limmy Monaghan
The Champion of the Week for this week is the World Heavyweight Champion, Limmy Monaghan! Limmy Monaghan has already defended his Championship four times successfully, and at Pain for Pride he managed to reach a fifth successful defense as he managed to overcome former EAW World Champion Myles, all while battling an injury. This makes Limmy the longest reigning of the current group of Champions, as well as one of the few Elitists to successfully defend their title at Pain for Pride 16! This was a huge night for Limmy as he added a huge win to his record, one that allows him to enter season 17 as World Champion. Congratulations to Limmy Monaghan!
Most Valuable Elitist
Drake King
This week’s Most Valuable Elitist is the EAW World Champion, Drake King! Drake competed in the final match of Pain for Pride 16 against his toughest opponent yet, that being Methuselah. Methuselah is quite possibly the greatest of all time and has shown that for years. In the ninth Barbed Wire Massacre Drake put his EAW World Championship on the line against him, and in the end Drake was able to pick up the victory, making him one of the very few Elitists to leave Pain for Pride with the Championship they walked in with. Drake picked up the biggest win of his career at this event, so congratulations to the EAW World Champion!
