Rising Star of the Week

Mercer McKay

This week’s Rising Star of the Week was Mercer McKay! On Voltage, Mercer had a really big opportunity as he had the chance to take part in the King of Elite tournament! This was Mercer’s first major opportunity since joining the company as the King of Elite tournament to fight for a World Championship to the winner, and his opponent was another newcomer in Justin Thorson. In the end Mercer was able to win this match and advance to the second round of the tournament, a huge win for him early in his wrestling career. Congratulations to Mercer McKay, who has the opportunity to potentially win the King of Elite tournament!

Show of the Week

Showdown

This week’s Show of the Week was the final show of 2022, Showdown! Showdown did an amazing job of closing out the year and entering 2023 on a high note, as this show featured great Empress of Elite and King of Elite tournament matches such as Holly Arrow versus Candice Blair, Jack Ripley versus Jon Kelton, and the final match of the night Adam Lucas versus Roberto De La Rosa! This match would also see things like the formation of a new tag team with Holly and Harper Lee while already established teams like Xander and Ryan set their sights on the Unified Tag Team Championships, multiple potential King of Elite matches in Jake Smith versus Impact and Kassidy Heart versus Ms. Extreme, and a surprising reveal in the main event match mentioned earlier that the referee was fixed in Roberto’s favor! This was an interesting show from start to finish.

Match of the Week

Myles vs Drake King

The Match of the Week for this week was the main event of Voltage, Myles versus Drake King! This match was a King of Elite round one match, and it was an incredible way to help kick off the Voltage bracket with the years of history these two have with each other. This was bound to be an excellent match and in the end it delivered as both Elitists brought everything they had to the table. This match did not go without controversy as the referee would be knocked out, an event that heavily contributed to the way the match ended. This would cause a shocking ending to an incredible match, which was a great way to end Voltage!

Promoer of the Week

Jon Kelton

The Promoer of the Week for this week was Jon Kelton! This week Jon Kelton went up against Jack Ripley in round one of the King of Elite tournament, and this turned out to be an exciting week of promos. There was a lot on the line this week knowing how big the King of Elite tournament is, and Jon Kelton’s promos throughout the week definitely highlighted just how determined he really is to win this tournament. Jon Kelton is a former Champion in EAW and has had many good performances in just the past year. He believes that now is the time for him to reach the World Championship, and after a week like this he has a great chance of accomplishing that goal!

Champion of the Week

Hikari Kanno

This week’s Champion of the Week was Hikari Kanno! Back at A Hawaiian Christmas Show Spectacle, Hikari won the Hardcore Championship in a fatal four way featuring herself, Theron Nikolas, Charlie Marr and Daryl Kinkade. In the first Voltage and the first show of 2023, Hikari would face the new Specialists Champion ARIA in a Champion versus Champion match, a great way to test both of Voltage’s new Champions! In the end Hikari Kanno won what was a very competitive match, making this an amazing first match of Hikari’s Championship reign! Congratulations to the Hardcore Champion, Hikari Kanno!

Most Valuable Elitist

Bronson Daniels

This week’s Most Valuable Elitist is Bronson Daniels! Bronson Daniels took part in the King of Elite tournament, facing off against Solomon Stane in the first round! Bronson Daniels had opportunities at the World Heavyweight Championship in the past, but the King of Elite tournament was a chance for him to get back in the Championship picture while also gaining another major accolade! In the end Bronson was able to get what he wanted, winning the round one match against a former Champion like Solomon Stane. This was a big win for Bronson, who’ll now be advancing to round two. Congratulations to Bronson Daniels!
