ARIA
This week’s Rising Star of the Week is a woman who won her very first Championship at Road to Redemption, ARIA! At Road to Redemption, the Ice Aces member competed in the Specialists Championship Elimination Chamber, a match that turned out to be both extremely competitive and chaotic as the Queen Bees would interfere, forcing the Ice Aces to get involved as well. In the end it came down to ARIA and the former Champion Serenity Valdez, and it was ARIA that managed to leave the Chamber as Champion! This was a huge victory for ARIA knowing just how difficult it is to win a match like that, so congratulations to the new Specialists Champion!
Beef of the Week
Andre Walker vs Limmy Monaghan vs Bronson Daniels vs Amir Yusuf vs Jay Jerry Johnson vs PJ Hendrx
This week’s Beef of the Week was the World Heavyweight Championship Elimination Chamber! This was a huge match for everyone involved. Elimination Chambers are always very important and some of the biggest matches of the year, but the promos brought to this match just showed exactly why Road to Redemption is one of the most exciting events of the year. Everyone involved with this match did their part and put out a bunch of great promos, whether it was because of the history these Elitists share with each other or the fact that a World Championship was on the line.
Show of the Week
Road to Redemption
The Show of the Week for this week was Road to Redemption! With this being the final marquee event of the year there was a lot to look forward to, and in the end this turned out to be a far greater show than expected! There were surprises such as the returns of Ms. Extreme, Cage, and the announcement that Rex McAllister would be returning next week! On top of this, every match delivered and there were many matches at the event worthy of being some of the best of the entire year! The four Elimination Chambers were also all unique and exciting to watch, making Road to Redemption an incredible way to help close out 2022!
Match of the Week
Impact vs Adam Lucas vs Ryan Wilson vs Jon Kelton vs Donovan Duke vs Xander Payne
This week’s Match of the Week was the Answers World Championship Elimination Chamber! This match was extremely entertaining from beginning to end as every Elitist had an amazing performance as they all looked to become World Champion, and it also turned out to be a controversial match thanks to the interference of Kennedy Street, after having already forced Adam and Donovan to start the match! This Elimination Chamber having such a controversial ending would lead to a surprising cash in from Jake Smith, and all this allowed night one of Road to Redemption to end on a high note. This was an incredible match all around.
Promoer of the Week
Limmy Monaghan
This week’s Promoer of the Week was the new World Heavyweight Champion, Limmy Monaghan! The Elimination Chamber match tends to be one of the most competitive matches of the year, but this week Limmy Monaghan took things to another level. If there was any week to perfectly showcase Limmy’s growth it was this one, as Limmy put out such great promos leading up to possibly the biggest match of his career. Limmy himself took note of his rise in the past two years, and in the end this resulted in an amazing week of promos for a match that also turned out to be fantastic. The new World Heavyweight Champion is at the top of his game, and he definitely proved that this week!
Champion of the Week
Minerva
This week’s Champion of the Week was the EAW World Champion, Minerva! If there’s one thing for Minerva to be proud of after Road to Redemption, it’s the fact that she was the only Champion defending in an Elimination Chamber to leave with her title! That’s not the only big part of her win either, as she was surrounded by five people who have history with her. Minerva had a huge match ahead of her and it definitely wasn’t easy, but in the end Minerva was able to keep her title, even getting revenge for what happened to her at the end of last year’s Road to Redemption! Congratulations to the EAW Champion!
Most Valuable Elitist
Limmy Monaghan & Jake Smith
The Most Valuable Elitists for this week are the two new World Champions, Limmy Monaghan and Jake Smith! These two both had extremely eventful nights, as Limmy Monaghan would pin Andre Walker in the World Heavyweight Championship Elimination Chamber, dethroning one of the most dominant Champions in recent memory! Jake Smith would also win the Answers World Championship on the same night, cashing in on Impact following the Answers World Championship Elimination Chamber! These two are both first time World Champions now, and the two former teammates managed to win those titles on the exact same night! Congratulations to the new Answers World and World Heavyweight Champions, Jake and Limmy!
