Rising Star of the Week
Harper Lee
Rising Star of the Week for this week is one half of the Unified Tag Team Champions, Harper Lee. On Showdown Harper went up against Ronan Malosi, one of the two people she’ll be defending the titles against at Road to Redemption along with Sierra Bradford. Despite lots of interference from Ryan Wilson, Harper managed to capture the victory and gain even more momentum for the Realm ahead of their second Championship defense.
Beef of the Week
Harper Lee vs Ronan Malosi
Beef of the Week was a preview of what’s to come at Road to Redemption with Harper Lee versus Ronan Malosi. One half of each team competing for the tag titles at the event went at each other this week and these two did not disappoint whatsoever. Ronan Malosi proved exactly why Chained Fury might just be the team to dethrone the Realm, but at the same time Harper did a great job showing why she’s the Champion of the two. Both competitors had a fantastic performance this week, one that they’ll surely not forget.
Show of the Week
Voltage
This week’s Show of the Week was Voltage. Voltage opened up with a huge surprise as Rex McAllister made his return to Voltage as the final competitor in the Extreme Elimination Chamber, and the show continued to be just as exciting since then. This show featured Drake King and Darcy May Morgan’s match gain even higher stakes, and huge victories being picked up such as Terry Chambers’ against EAW Champion SOSA Henderson and a “gauntlet match” from Ahren Fournier. This was a great show, and things are only looking to get better as Road to Redemption approaches.
Match of the Week
Xander Payne vs The Visual Prophet
Match of the Week was Dynasty’s main event, Xander Payne versus the Visual Prophet. This was a match that didn’t exactly end with either man capturing the victory, but in the end this was still just as good as expected. Xander Payne who had an amazing year and the Visual Prophet who is the current World Heavyweight Champion definitely pushed each other to the limit this week, showing everyone why both competitors should be feared heading into Road to Redemption.
Promoer of the Week
SOSA Henderson
While he may not have walked out of his match with the victory, this weeks Promoer of the Week is the EAW Champion, SOSA Henderson. SOSA Henderson this week, as usual, put out amazing promos for his match with Terry Chambers. SOSA’s heading into his biggest match yet and of course that means he has to be at his best, and this week he made sure to be. Despite not coming out with the victory SOSA should be proud of his performance, as once again he showed us all why this has been the best year of his career.
Champion of the Week
Jamie O’Hara
Our Champion of the Week for this week is Showdown’s Answers World Champion, Jamie O’Hara. This week Jamie would be one of the few Champions to capture a clean victory, as this week he managed to get a decisive win over one of the people he was originally scheduled to face for the Answers World Championship at Road to Redemption in SKA. Defeating one of the opponents you’re already set to face at a later date does a lot for your confidence, and while SKA may no longer be in that match Jamie has a great chance of leaving Road to Redemption the same way he left Showdown this week.
Most Valuable Elitist
Terry Chambers
The Most Valuable Elitist for this week was the man who just picked up one of his biggest victories, Terry Chambers. On Voltage Terry Chambers faced SOSA Henderson only weeks before Road to Redemption, and in shocking fashion Terry actually managed to defeat SOSA. After getting such a huge win without the involvement of any other competitor Terry definitely deserved the title of Most Valuable Elitist, as just like that Terry proved that he has what it takes to leave that match with the EAW Championship, not that he should’ve ever been doubted in the first place. Congratulations Terry Chambers!
