(Announcer Maria Del Ray is shown standing in the middle of the ring, awaiting the entrance of the first competitor. “Bhad Bitch” by Bebe Rexha suddenly bursts through the PC P.A. system and Emily Devine makes her way from the back onto the stage and down the ramp.)

Clark Ruggerio: Here we have another one of the newest additions to the Empire roster, Emily Devine!
Ben Knight: Indeed, Clark, but she’s no rookie herself. Emily Devine has been doing this for a whole decade now and looking to make a good impression on the EAW fans watching this from around the world!
(Emily climbs the ring steps and enters between the ropes. She poses before “Bhad Bitch” fades out. “Underground” by Gob then starts up as Io Ishimori walks onto the stage, making her currently masked presence known.)
Maria Del Ray: And her opponent…weighing in at one hundred and nineteen pounds and hailing from Osaka, Japan..SHE IS “THE WINTER”, IOOOO ISHIIIIMOOOOORIIIIII!
Clark Ruggerio: Here’s someone we’ve been seeing a lot of lately on Empire, Ms. Ishimori. There’s no doubt Io is a force to be reckoned with but she’s been having some trouble stringing some wins together, this could be big for her!
(Io approaches the ring and walks up the steel steps herself. She walks over to the opposite corner and leaps onto the top turnbuckle as she slowly takes off her mask, making direct eye contact with the camera.)
Ben Knight: Io’s goal is to show that she’s the best and beating the newcomer here tonight would be one step closer to that.
(Io takes off the rest of her entrance gear as Emily watches her from the other side of the ring. The referee then calls for the bell.)
(Ding! Ding! Ding!)
Clark Ruggerio: Devine and Ishimori immediately locking up here, wasting no time! Both of these women eager to find out who’s really better in this test of strength.
Ben Knight: Io then transitions it to a headlock and starts to wrench on the neck of Emily Devine! That just looks brutal! Devine pushing Io off and towards the ropes, Io rebounds and Devine avoids a standing dropkick! Io down now and Emily thinking of her next move with this opening!
Clark Ruggerio: EMILY STOMPING ON THE CHEST OF ISHIMORI WITH NO MERCY! That’s one way to keep her down..She grabs a groggy Io by the hair and lifts her to her feet, Emily with a series of chops now! Abusing the chest even more!
Ben Knight: BUT IO BLOCKS ONE OF THE CHOPS! SHE GRABS EMILY DEVINE BY THE WRIST AND HITS HER WITH A RIGHT HAND TO THE JAW! Emily turning away from Io and grabbing at her face now, I know she felt all of that! Io following it up, grabbing Emily from behind..SNAP DRAGON SUPLEX! SHE PLANTS EMILY DEVINE INTO THE MAT AND KEEPS IT LOCKED IN FOR A PIN ATTEMPT!
Referee: ONE!! TWO!! TH-
Clark Ruggerio: A KICKOUT FROM DEVINE! IT’S GONNA TAKE MORE THAN THAT! Io looking at the referee and shaking her head, she thought she had it. Emily rolls over to the ropes now, trying to recover. Io stands back up and walks over to Devine. What’s she thinking now?
Ben Knight: Returning the favor from earlier, Io now gripping Devine by the hair and back to her feet. BUT EMILY WITH A PUNCH TO THE GUT, MAKING IO RELEASE HER HOLD! EMILY THEN HEADBUTTS IO ISHIMORI! THAT’S NOT EVEN SAFE, CLARK! AND A SNAP DDT TO FINISH! EMILY DEVINE GOING FOR THE PIN NOW!
Referee: ONE!! TWO!! THRE-!
Ben Knight: KICK OUT FROM IO! IO ISN’T DONE!
Clark Ruggerio: Emily Devine looking annoyed now. She lifts Io back up and spins her ‘round! Is she looking for the Queens Ruling? SHE’S GOING FOR IT! QUEENS RULING!
Ben Knight: NO! NO! IO ESCAPES AT THE LAST SECOND, TWISTING OUT OF POSITION AS EMILY LOSES CONTROL! IO WITH A REVERSE STO! SHE CALLS THAT THE LAST DAY! DEVINE GOES DOWN!
Clark Ruggerio: BUT IO ISN’T SATISFIED YET, SHE NOW KNOWS EMILY ISN’T AS EASY TO BEAT! Io backs to the corner and begins to stalk Emily Devine! Io bringing her hand across her throat, her signature cutthroat motion! The end may be near for the newbie here tonight!
Ben Knight: Devine using the ropes for leverage as she recuperates..Io taking a few steps closer now..Emily turns around not realizing what’s awaiting her! IO WITH A LEAPING KNEE STRIKE TO THE CHIN OF EMILY DEVINE! EMILY IS STUNNED! IO GIVING HER NO TIME TO BREATHE THOUGH AS SHE GETS INTO POSITION FOR THE INVIERNO!
Clark Ruggerio: SHE HITS IT! THE INVIERNO! EMILY DEVINE LOOKS LIFELESS, BEN! IO TAKING A MOMENT TO ADMIRE HER OWN WORK BEFORE GOING FOR THE PIN!
Referee: ONE!! TWO!! THREEEEEEE!!
(Ding! Ding! Ding!)
Maria Del Ray: HERE IS YOUR WINNER, IOOOOOO ISHIIIMOOOORIIII!
(Io pushes herself off of Emily Devine and rises to her feet. The ref raises her hand in victory as Emily Devine is barely moving.)
Clark Ruggerio: What a match!
Ben Knight: What a showing by Ms. Devine here tonight, as well! This was her first match and already so much of her intensity as an in-ring talent here shined through!
Clark Ruggerio: Hopefully she’s able to bounce back from this because I’d love to see more of her on Empire. But congratulations to Io Ishimori! Winter has come for Emily Devine!
