(‘From Now On’ by BAND-MAID begins playing as AJ Redding makes his way out from behind the curtains, spreading his arms out wide with glee as he basks in the cheers of the crowd! He walks down the ramp, making sure to high-five the front-row fans before he steps into the ring.)
Maria Del Ray: The following contest is scheduled for…!
Crowd: ONE FALLLLLLLLLLLLL!!
Maria Del Ray: Introducing first, weighing in at 213 pounds, hailing from Auckland, New Zealand… He is the ‘Overdog”…! A! J! REEEEEEEEEEEEEEDDIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIING!
(‘Spanish Flea’ by Herb Alpert begins playing as Zaraguzen pops his head out from behind the curtain, looks around and then begins walking down the ramp; the crowd cheers his antics, but he seems more focused on voices he seems to be hearing as he enters the ring.)
Maria Del Ray: And one of his opponents, weighing in at 200 pounds, claiming to hail from ‘Shadow Realm’, Ohio, he is ‘Very Spooky, Very Sane’…! ZARAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGUUUUUUUUUUZEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEN!
(‘The Last Stand’ by Sabaton begins playing as Spencer Phoenix appears before the crowd; with an intense expression on his face, he marches to the beat of his song as he enters the ring, with the crowd being intimidated by his size and physique.)
Maria Del Ray: Introducing last, weighing in at 265 pounds, hailing from Boston, Massachusetts, he is… SPENCERRRRRRR! PHOEEEEEEEEEEEEENIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIX!
(DING! DING! DING!)
Ben Knight: And this triple threat match is underway! AJ Redding and Spencer Phoenix seem to be going head to head immediately; these two young men are looking to make a splash this early into their careers, and it shows with how intensely they’re starting off! Lefts and rights flying back and forth in this brawl!
Clark Ruggerio: Zaraguzen, on the other hand, seems to be examining the offense with a curious look on his face! What is this man planning?
Ben Knight: It seems as though AJ Redding is getting the upper hand in this first exchange with Spencer Phoenix being backed up into the corner! AJ is giving it his all with a flurry of fists before putting an exclamation mark on it with a jumping high knee to the head!
Clark Ruggerio: Now AJ is stepping away from the corner, looking to gain some momentum as he cartwheels towards the cornered Phoenix- NO! Spencer lurches out and superkicks the elbow of his opponent! He managed to prevent the attack from taking place!
Ben Knight: Now Spencer is firing back at AJ with some heavy-hitting strikes of his own, then capitalizing with a powerful body slam!
Clark Ruggerio: AH, THERE GOES ZARAGUZEN! He came flying in with a dropkick to the larger opponent, knocking him away! And now he’s laying on the stomps to AJ Redding, who didn’t even get a chance to get up from Spencer’s slam!
Ben Knight: He pulls AJ up off the ground and throws the Overdog’s arm over his head; it seems as though he’s looking for a suplex here! Unfortunately for him, AJ is fighting back, using his weight to sandbag the attempt!
Clark Ruggerio: Zaraguzen keeps struggling to execute the move, almost as though he’s trying to convince AJ that he has the power to do it… but AJ gives a sharp kick to the knee! And another one, causing the hold to be loosened!
Ben Knight: The Overdog himself is now lifting Zaraguzen in a suplex position! But rather than going all the way, he twisted him mid-air and dropped him back to his feet- OH! With clever execution, AJ switched the suplex attempt into a dragon sleeper! Zaraguzen is being choked out right before our eyes!
Clark Ruggerio: Before Zaraguzen could get any closer to unconsciousness, though, Spencer Phoenix re-entered the fray with a devastating Eclipse Kick to knock the Overdog off of Zaraguzen!
Ben Knight: Zaraguzen is sent tumbling to the mat, clutching at his throat, while Spencer implements a chokehold of his own, the Mystic Chokehold, on AJ Redding! The Overdog is struggling against the hold, and it seems like he’s wriggling around too much for Spencer to keep a good grip!
Clark Ruggerio: Desperate times call for desperate measures! Spencer is forced to release the chokehold, but he immediately follows it up with a spinebuster! A classic move, for sure, but his execution looks absolutely devastating! Now he’s going for the pin!
Ref: ONEEEEEEEE!
Ref: TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Ben Knight: And a kick out, it’s not enough! Phoenix looks undeterred, though, as he looks to go up to the top turnbuckle! A man of his size looking to fly has got to be one of the most horrifying sights you can see on the opposing end of the attack!
Clark Ruggerio: And he goes for the flying elbow drop! BUT IT DOESN’T LAND! AJ MOVES OUT OF THE WAY! Now Spencer is left wriggling on the mat with pain! Here comes Zaraguzen, who has recuperated, to bring the fight back to AJ with a MASSIVE punch from out of nowhere!
Ben Knight: AJ looks to have been knocked silly by that, and Zaraguzen is taking advantage to go for a bigger move! With one hand wrapped around AJ’s throat, Zaraguzen forces him up high and launches him down with a chokeslam! He goes for the cover!
Ref: ONEEEEEE!
Ref: TWOOOOOOOOOOO!
Clark Ruggerio: But Spencer Phoenix breaks it up at the count of two, pushing Zaraguzen with such force that he slides out of the ring! It looks as though Spencer wants to seize this victory for himself and is getting rid of anything that may get in the way of that!
Ben Knight: Just to show his conviction, Spencer starts hoisting AJ Redding off the ground in a powerbomb position! Could he be looking to end the match right here?!
Clark Ruggerio: AJ isn’t having it, though, fighting back with all he has and raining down a barrage of fists on Spencer’s head!
Ben Knight: AJ twists himself on Spencer’s head and uses the convenient position to hit a POISON-RANA! WHAT A MANEUVER!
Clark Ruggerio: SPENCER LANDED IN A BAD WAY WITH THAT ATTACK, HE LOOKS TO BE IN A BAD SPOT HERE! AJ IS MEASURING HIM UP…!
Ben Knight: THE MOMENT SPENCER GOT UP, AJ HIT HIM WITH A DISCUS LARIAT! THIS PUT HIM IN PERFECT POSITION FOR AJ TO GO FOR IT ALL! HE’S HOOKING THE ARMS!
Clark Ruggerio: THE TIGER DRIVER! TIGER DRIVER! AJ REDDING HIT THE CHERNOBYL BOMB! HE’S GOING FOR THE COVER!
Ref: ONEEEEEEEEEEE!
Ref: TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO~
Ref: THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
(DING! DING! DING!)
Maria Del Ray: HERE IS YOUR WINNER! A! J! REDDIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIING!
Ben Knight: Although Zaraguzen and Spencer put up a valiant effort, it was AJ Redding that came out on top tonight! He managed to overcome the larger opponent and score the pinfall!
Clark Ruggerio: All three opponents showed the EAW Universe a bit of what they’re capable of tonight! If these New Breeds put their all into this sport, there’s no telling how far they’ll be able to go!
(‘From Now On’ began playing once again as AJ’s hand was raised by the referee in triumph! The crowd cheered as the rookie managed to start out his EAW career with a victory; meanwhile, Spencer is laid out with his head clutched in pain and Zaraguzen is poking his head out from outside the ring, staring at AJ.)
