(RECAP – a montage of last week’s season premiere is shown. Empire General Manager Flannery McCoy revealed that the Empress of Elite 2018 tournament will start the following week with the bracket to be revealed on the weekend via EAW.com. She added that an assistant manager would be revealed next week as well. Clips from the triple threat between Team Remi and the Crowe’s Nest, with Braxton DeVil interfering to give the Crowes the victory. Clips from the epic showdown between Stephanie Matsuda and Astraea Jordan is shown, with Malcolm Jones calling out the Joneset to interfere. Kendra Shamez is seen observing from the stage. After fighting off members of the Joneset, Stephanie slides under Astraea’s Free Smoke reverse roundhouse and counters with a Last Surprise sling blade and retains her world championship with a C9. The ending scene is a furious Malcolm Jones standing over a worn Stephanie Matsuda and Monica Vaughan.)

SG1: Forget the World Cup! It is EOE season here on Thursday Night Empire! I’m “Your Friendly Neighborhood Vixen” SG1 and this is my partner “Yet to Have a Nickname” Alicia Amby!
Alicia Amby: Thank you SG1! Tonight we have a special guest sitting with us – none other than the EAW Unified Women’s Champion herself, Stephanie “Cloud” Matsuda!
Stephanie Matsuda: Hey guys! Thank you for having me. Of course I was told to sit in with y’all, but let me see if I can make this free will thing work.
SG1: Well last year both the world and specialist champions took over commentary duties. What makes this so different?
Stephanie: From what I gather, Flannery McCoy wanted the focus to be on race to fight for the Empire’s world championship, nothing more, nothing less.
Alicia: I guess that makes you the most wanted woman in EAW. So, that match with Astraea Jordan…like wow! That had to be one of the most impressive matches I’ve seen since well your respective matches at Pain for Pride!
Stephanie: Well, Astraea and I really took it to one another. It’s like I said on social media – I didn’t beat Astarea Jordan, I survived her.
SG1: Well judging from the way things ended, you may not heard the last of her bae, Malcolm Jones.
Stephanie: Well, we’ll cross that road when we get to it. I’m not afraid of MJ, and any time Astraea wants a rematch, I’ll give it to her.
(Cori Simmons is standing in the middle of the ring)
Cori Simmons: Please welcome Empire General Manager, Flannery McCoy!
(“Black and White” by Michael Jackson plays as Flannery McCoy walks out, waving at the fans. She walks down the ramp, giving high fives to everyone she walks by)
SG1: What a second half of season 11 it’s been for the up and coming authority whom everyone is calling the “Billion Dollar Manager!” In my years of being involved with the industry, I never seen anyone progressed a show like I’ve seen Flannery do with Thursday Night Empire!.We’ve witnessed ratings skyrocket, an influx of new talent, and recently a BILLION DOLLAR deal that landed us on the Fox Network proper! And after announcing the Empress of Elite tournament the week prior, she will now introduce to us a new assistant general manager!?
Stephanie: Sounds like she’ll have a Flannery for her own Flannery.
Alicia: ???
Stephanie: It’s funny if you was here before January ‘18.
Alicia. Ah.
(Flannery climbs into the ring and takes the microphone)
Flannery McCoy: Good evening ladies and gentlemen! I welcome you to another sold out edition of Thursday Night Empire!
(crowd cheers)
Flannery: I must say that I have to thank each and every one of you for helping make Thursday Night Empire the MUST SEE brand in Elite Answers Wrestling! While I’m about to be interviewed by entities such as Forbes and Rolling Stone, I alone can’t take credit for the success we were blessed with! It was each and everyone one of you in the crowd and those of you at home you helped Empire become the way it is! We have a new TV deal, a tag division, and our biggest event, Manifest Destiny is now a FPV! When I was assistant GM, I never thought in my wildest dreams, it would be like this. Speaking of assistant GMs…SEGUE!
(crowd laughs)
Flannery: While The Board of Directors, specifically the Chairman himself has noticed the positive of Thursday Night Empire, there were some concerns that were addressed, specifically the backstage safety of Empire talent. We saw several women, including the previous women’s champion all sidelined by backstage violence. Then, there was the debacle that was the ending to last week’s main event. While Matsuda vs Jordan was the stuff of legend, how Malcolm Jones was able to send the entire Joneset ringside is an issue under review by the administration. Meanwhile, I have now been assigned a general manager to help me with the demanding environment Thursday Night Empire has become. I was quite surprised with whom was chosen, but apparently she has authority experience.
(Flannery’s face grows cold for a moment, but quickly forces a smile)
Flannery: Please welcome to Thursday Night Empire…your NEW Assistant General Manager…Kendra Shamez!
Alicia: Kendra Shamez!?
SG1: You gotta be kidding me.
Stephanie: …
(“Needles and Pins” by the Deftones play as Kendra Shamez walks out, practically glowing. There is a strong mixed reaction to her presence as she makes her way down the ramp)
SG1: With the current controversy surrounding her, I can’t imagine why the board would select Kendra Shamez as the Assistant GM of Thursday Night Empire.
Alicia: Didn’t she make it known on live television that she would do whatever it takes to end your reign, Matsuda?
Stephanie: …
SG1: Something’s up, but I’m sleep though.
(Kendra climbs into the ring, smiles at an expressionless Flannery and takes the mic)
Kendra Shamez: Thank you Flannery. It’s interesting to see how everyone is reacting right now. I’m sure there are those of you who think my previous actions were…controversial. And now that I look back, I agree.
(Kendra looks at Stephanie Matsuda)
Kendra: Cloud? I’m sorry for the things I’ve said. And while I wasn’t behind those attacks on your friends-
Stephanie: Bulls–t.
Kendra: I can explain why I said what I said before. You see for years, I’ve invested blood sweat and tears into this business, both in the ring and out. I was a general manager – a hell of a good one – and for a period of time I was the face of the Vixens Division. I know what it’s like to have the whole world in the palm of my hands…
(Kendra’s eyes narrow)
Kendra: Which is why I was so upset when the previous champion threw it all away. I’m not going to beat a dead horse, but long story short, I took my anger out on you, Cloudy. I should have been praising you for your loyalty to EAW and Empire, not admonishing your already historic reign. While I think the Jaded Hearts and Crowe’s Nest are the future, you are the catalyst for that future to take place.
Stephanie: …
Kendra: Which is why I have a very special opponent planned for you at Manifest Destiny. I’m still working out certain contractual details, but I think you’ll be pleased. Consider it…an olive branch.
Alicia: Who could she be talking about!?
SG1: I have an idea. What do you think, Cloud?
Stephanie: I think she’s full of herself.
Kendra: Of course I don’t expect you to forgive me so easily Matsuda, but in time you will know, understand, and believe in my vision. Like for instance, this year’s Empress of Elite tournament…
(Kendra turns to the crowd)
Kendra: We’re all aware that when it comes to tournaments, not everyone can be winners. There is only ONE Empress of Elite who will be fighting the Unified Women’s Champion, while everyone else will be left on the sidelines…
(Kendra looks at Flannery, but turning back to the audience)
Kendra: Which is why as my first act as assistant general manager, I am enacting the EOE Second Chance Initiative! The SCI, as I like to call it, is a series of matches to determine who will not only fight the for Specialist Championship at Manifest Destiny, but the Empire Tag Team Championship as well!
(the crowd cheers while Flannery stares at Kendra with an eyebrow raised)
Kendra: So you have the EOE finals and Unified Women’s Championship matches co-headlining, the Specialist Championship match, and the Empire Tag Team Championship match. More will be announced, but for now, the EAW Universe can sit on that! Thank you everyone and enjoy tonight’s show!
(The crowd is now in full support of Kendra Shamez as she waves and exits the ring. Flannery is standing there in disbelief for a moment.)
SG1: Is it just me, or did Kendra just get the world on her side in one moment?
Stephanie: I need to speak to Flannery later.
Alicia: I’m still new to this place, but it seems like Manifest Destiny is going to become quite the show!
Stephanie: Perhaps…
SG1: Anyway, let’s cut to tonight’s opening match!
(“Hahaha” — Death Grips plays as the crowd gives Toni Gunn a mixed reaction from the crowd. The ones cheering are mostly the male Empire fans and supporters of the LGBTQ as Toni comes out with a bottle of Yorkshire lager in her hand.)
Cori Simmons: The following match is scheduled for ONE FALL —
Crowd: ONE FALL!!
Cori Simmons: Introducing first, from York, North Yorkshire, England, she is “The Rat Daddy”, TOOOOOOOOONIIIIIIIIIIII GUNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!
Alicia Amby: Toni Gunn managed to make an impression with getting a victory over Mali Evans last week on Empire! Not only was this woman one of the most talked about signees in a while, but she managed to be more talked about after her victory last week!
SG1: Some say that her victory was a fluke and that she won’t be able to defeat this opponent this week, but it looks like we are going to figure that out soon enough!
(“All Star” — Smash Mouth plays as the crowd boos as Harlow Reichert comes out with confidence with each step that she takes. She does not give a fuck about the reaction of the crowd as she continues her walk to the ring.)
Cori Simmons: Introducing her opponent, from Christchruch, New Zealand, she is “Miss No F-cks Given”, HAAAAAAAARLLLLLLLLLOWWWWWWWW REEEEEEEICCCCCCCHEEEEEEERTTTTTTT!!
SG1: Here is a fellow newcomer herself, Harlow Reichert is someone who is considered really gifted in wrestling; however, she doesn’t seem to care or try to understand the wrestling business. To make things shorter, she just doesn’t care and she doesn’t care about anyone, but herself.
Alicia Amby: Then, why is she here? She gotta care to win this match if she wants to get somewhere on Empire. Perhaps, this victory will place her in the right direction!
(Ding! Ding! Ding!)
SG1:Toni Gunn vs. Harlow Reichert is underway! The two women make it to the center of the ring! Toni goes to lock in with Harlow, but stops for a moment! She goes to the corner and picks up the bottle of Yorkshire lager and begins to drink out of it! Harlow is looking at Toni. All she wants to do is to start the match! Harlow does not like that Toni is wasting her time right now! Toni is just guliping the lager up like no tomorrow! Harlow is tapping her foot against the mat as she rolls her eyes! Enough with having her time wasted, she rushes over to Toni!
Alicia Amby: TONI GUNN SPITS THE LAGER INTO THE FACE OF HARLOW REICHERT! HARLOW IS LOOKING AT HER DRENCHED SELF IN SHOCK AS TONI LAUGHS HYSTERICALLY! HARLOW, ANGRY, GOES TO THROW THE FIRST PUNCH IN THE MATCH! INSTEAD, TONI IS ABLE TO GET OUT OF THE WAY AND THROWS THE FIRST PUNCH IN THE MATCH! HARLOW FINDS HERSELF IN THE CORNER AFTER A FEW PUNCHES FROM TONI! Toni gives a “wanker” gesture before connecting with a sucker punch – the Wank and Bank connects as Harlow holds onto her face! Toni grabs Harlow by one of her arms and whips her to the other corner! Harlow is holding onto the corner as Toni runs and connects with a clothesline! No! Harlow is able to get out of the way! Toni goes crashing onto the corner! No! Toni was able to stop herself before colliding against the corner! She delivers a back elbow on Harlow, who steps back a few steps before following that up with a superkick! Harlow goes falling to the ground as Toni goes for the cover!
Jesse Carlton: OOONE!!
SG1: Harlow kicks out at one as Toni pulls Harlow by the hair in order to get her up! Toni connects with a harsh headbutt! Harlow is sent down to one knee as the headbutt was hard enough to even make Toni stumble a bit! Not sure if that’s it or if the lager is finally kicking in with her? Anyway, Toni manages to maintain hold on Harlow as she connects with another headbutt that sends Harlow to her knee again! Once again, Toni stumbles back again! She lets go of Harlow’s hair before connecting with a back kick that makes Harlow hold her stomach. Toni bounces from the ropes and connects with another superkick to a seated down Harlow! Harlow finds herself on her back as Toni picks up the woman again and whips her to the ropes! Harlow does her best to try to hold on to the ropes, but Toni connects with a brutal knee to Harlow’s stomach before picking her up and connecting with an exploder suplex! Harlow is thrown across the ring as she finds refuge underneath one of the bottom ropes! Toni finds herself in a seated position as she looks for where Harlow landed before getting herself up!
Alicia Amby: Harlow is holding onto the bottom rope, trying to save herself from Toni, but Toni approaches Harlow and holds on to her foot! Harlow continues to hold on to the bottom rope for dear life! She is not letting go of it one bit! Toni begins to pull Harlow away from the rope, but Harlow seems to have a pretty good hold on the bottom rope! Toni pulls Harlow by the foot again and nothing! Toni gives one last push to Harlow by her foot and manages to separate Harlow from the bottom rope! In the process, Harlow goes up and crashing stomach first against the mat! Harlow is holding her stomach in pain as Toni goes for the middle rope! She situates herself on the middle rope! She is constantly looking at Harlow to see if she hasn’t gotten up yet before connecting with a knee drop from the middle rope! Once again, Harlow is holding her stomach in pain! That knee looked pretty harsh from Toni! Toni gets herself up as she gestures for Harlow to get herself back up as well! I have no idea what Toni is going to do next, but it cannot be a good thing at all! Harlow slowly finds her way up to her feet, still holding her stomach in pain! She turns around…
Stephanie Matsuda: AYYYE!
SG1: SPEAR FROM TONI GUNN! HARLOW IS SPLIT RIGHT IN HALF DUE TO THE SPEAR! Toni with a smirk on her face as Harlow continues to hold her stomach in pain! Her stomach has been through so much in these past few minutes! I would not blame Harlow if this is the end of the match! Still, Harlow tries to get herself back up as Toni rebounds from the ropes and goes for Rat Daddy Cometh! No! Harlow is able to duck herself as Toni goes right past her! Harlow uses her strength to find herself into a standing position before connecting with a back elbow to Toni right in the jaw! Toni holds her jaw in pain as Harlow quickly follows that up with a roll up! No! Harlow follows that up with a superkick that sends Toni into the ropes! Toni tries to hold onto the ropes as Harlow races towards Toni with a stiff knife edge chop that makes Toni hold onto her chest! Harlow whips Toni to the opposite ropes as Harlow runs and connects with another knife edge chop on the chest of Toni Gunn! Harlow Reichert connects with another knife edge chop and another one! Over and over again, Harlow makes Toni’s chest red with her stuff knife edge chops! Harlow connects with a belly-to-back suplex on Toni as she goes for the cover!
Jesse Carlton: OOONE!! TWOOO!!
Alicia Amby: Toni kicks out at two as Harlow quickly connects with a double foot stomp to Toni as she holds her stomach in pain! Harlow now gets Toni back up to her feet as Harlow gets Toni and connects with a northern lights suplex! Harlow quickly follows that up with another double foot stomp on Toni! Harlow gets Toni up and whips her to the corner! Toni seems a little too weak at the moment to hold on to the corner with all of her might! Toni seems to be falling into a seating position as she has no strength to get herself up at the moment! Harlow distances herself a few steps before running and connecting with a running cannonball senton on Toni Gunn! Harlow collides harshly on Toni, making her head bounce back against the corner! Harlow finds her way back up to her feet! Harlow gets Toni in position before connecting with a snap German suplex, throwing Toni across the ring! Harlow walks over to Toni to pick her up! Harlow throws Toni to the corner again as Harlow connects with a corner forearm smash directly at Toni’s face! Harlow follows that up with a running facebreaker onto her knee as Toni goes falling directly onto her back! Toni somehow begins to get herself back up. You can tell that her mind is not in the right place at the moment, but Harlow does not waste any time, but connects with DAMN! The backflip DDT connects on Toni!
SG1: DAMN! What a move? Get it? Anyway, both women are on the ground as Harlow slowly finds her back up to her feet! She tries to gain enough energy to get Toni up to a standing position! Harlow connects with a European uppercut! This sends Toni back, but not back into a corner yet! Harlow connects with another uppercut and she finds Toni getting closer to the corner! Harlow continues to uppercut Toni until she makes it to the corner! Harlow sees that Toni is already in the corner as she backs away a few steps before running and connecting with a running dropkick to an already cornered Toni Gunn! Toni has her back sliding down as she gets into a seated position! Harlow gets Toni back up and has her in position for a brainbuster! She has Toni where she wants her and Harlow Reichert connects with LMFAO! THE BRAINBUSTER TO THE KNEE! Toni is down as Harlow hooks the leg and goes for a cover!
Stephanie Matsuda: That was vicious!
Jesse Carlton: OOOOONE!! TWOOOOO!!
Alicia Amby: Toni kicks out! Harlow has a look of frustration forming on her face! All she wants to do is get Toni down for the three count and win the match! Aggressively, Harlow gets Toni up to her feet! Harlow gets Toni and connects with PAIN – the spinning torture rack slam! The move connects as Harlow grins and gestures for the end of this match! Harlow looks at Toni as she gets her up! Harlow with Fate’s End, the kiwi crusher! The move connects!
SG1: No! Toni manages to move out of the way! Toni somehow has enough energy to get out of Fate’s end! Harlow turns around and connects with backbreaker! Harlow is caught off guard! She did not see this coming at all! It is almost like she is shocked to see Toni making a comeback in this match! Harlow is holding her back in pain as she makes her way back up to her feet! Toni quickly does not give Harlow any breathing room to process whatever is happening to her and connects with a bicycle kick that sends Harlow to the ground! Harlow is able to distance herself from Toni Gunn a bit, but Toni still does not give her any time to breathe as Toni connects with a shining wizard! The shining wizard was harsh enough that Harlow hits her head on the corner! Harlow has her hand on her head as she manages to get herself up! RAT DADDY COMETH OUT OF NOWHERE! THE REBOUND LARIAT CONNECTS AS HARLOW REICHERT FALLS ONTO HER BACK! HARLOW GOES SPINNING AROUND IN THE PROCESS AS TONI SMIRKS AND LOOKS LIKE SHE IS MORE THAN READY TO END THIS MATCH!
Alicia Amby: Toni Gunn sees that Harlow Reichert is lying on her back! This may be her one chance to put Harlow away for the three count! Toni approaches the top rope as she sets herself! She is looking at Harlow to see if she is getting up, but it seems like Harlow is not moving a muscle! Toni stands on the top rope as she shows off for the crowd a bit! Toni jumps off the top rope and THHHHHHHHHHHHHOTTTTTTTTTTT DEEEEEEESTTTTTTTROOOOOOOOYEEEEEEEEEER!! THE DIVING DOUBLE FOOTSTOMP CONNECTS! TONI QUICKLY GOES FOR THE COVER!

SG1: Once again, Toni Gunn wins the match! I think she was able to prove any doubters wrong if they doubted her to begin with! She managed to put away Harlow Reichert in the end of this match!
Alicia Amby: Harlow was impressive in her own right. She has proven that she can be someone to watch for on Empire. Tonight was not her night, but that can change in the future!

Kendra Shamez: Indeed we do, Flan. We have a meeting with the Fox executives later and I-
Flannery: I’m not talking about that! This “Second Chance Initiative!?” How come you didn’t run this by me first!?
Kendra: Honestly? You seemed quite preoccupied. I didn’t want to bog you down with handling what’s to be a salty group of women whose dreams of being Empress of Elite was shattered on a random Thursday night. I have the experience and the…mettle to deal with such situations. You have bigger fish to fry. You’re the boss of the year! You’re the one that goes with the girls to children hospitals and help good ‘ol Cloudy make those wishes for the sick kids, right? So allow me to deal-
Astraea Jordan’s Voice: Flannery!
(Astraea Jordan walk up to Flannery and Kendra)
Astraea: We need to talk.
Flannery: Maybe later Astarea. Right now I-
Kendra: I got this Flan. This is the exact kind of situation I was talking about.
(Kendra steps in between Flannery and Astraea)
Kendra: Run along Flan. Don’t keep those execs waiting. I heard they just arrived.
(Flannery walks away as Astraea turns her attention to Kendra)
Astraea: Know what? It’s better that I speak with YOU.
Kendra: It is. You want to know about the events of last week, and if I have some kind of connection with it huh?
Astraea: Took the words right out of my mouth, sis. Listen, I know sending the Joneset out there was Malcolm’s doing, but I can’t shake the feeling he was somehow ‘motivated’ to save his boo- which by the way, I didn’t need saving. I also don’t cheat, either! You could even argue if the ‘Set didn’t get involved I would be EAW Unified Women’s Champion. From the way MJ apologized, I think he realized that too. But the thing that gets to me is when I asked him if anyone else was involved, he got quiet. You know just as well as I do that MJ is never afraid to speak his mind. Then after looking back at the match, I saw you standing there on stage. Pray tell Ms. Assistant Gm…what was you doing out there, huh? You certainly wasn’t trying to police the situation! I didn’t see no security or any other officials! So tell me Kendra…what lie are you going to tell me to make me think you had nothing to do with letting MJ’s crew ringside!?
(Kendra sighs and crosses her arms)
Kendra: I can’t provide all of the answers you’re seeking at the moment. I can however say that I came out to ensure the situation didn’t get out of control any more than it already have. But about time I was able to do anything, it seemed Stephanie Matsuda had already resolved the situation herself…
(Astarea glares at Kendra, who remains unfazed)
Kendra: You’re not seeking answers for what Malcolm did. He’s your partner – you already know what he’s about. If anything, you’re disappointed in yourself. Let me give you some advice – get even. How? Defeat every obstacle that comes your way in this tournament. Win the crown. And at the aptly named Road to Redemption, prove to the world why ‘Astraea Better.’ Now if you excuse me, I have a meeting to attend.
(Kendra turns around and walks away, leaving Astraea to herself)
(“Murder (Instrumental)” — Impending Doom plays as the crowd begins to boo as Sonya Correa walks through the curtain. Sonya has a serious look on her face as she pays no attention to what the crowd’s reaction towards her is.)
Cori Simmons: The following match is a FIRST ROUND MATCH in the EMPRESS OF ELITE TOURNAMENT and it’s scheduled for ONE FALL–

Cori Simmons: Introducing first, from Medellin, Colombia, she is “The Black Rose”, SOOOOOOONYYYYYYYYYAA COOOOOOORRRRRREEEEAAAAA!!
SG1: Here is the woman who was once known as the bodyguard to Stella Star. She got tired of being someone’s bodyguard and now wants to make a name for herself on Empire. Sonya Correa is one woman who can really prove herself worthy of being part of this roster if she manages to win Empress of Elite.
Stephanie Matsuda:In the eyes of the Empire fans, she’s only a baby. I admire her for taking out the trash in Stella Star, but this may be her shot to prove that she is way more than that.
(“Flashbacks” — Emika plays as the crowd’s booing becomes louder as Jael Arcana-Rosario comes out from the curtain. Jael has a serious and angry look on her face as she walks her way down to the ring.)
Cori Simmons: Introducing her opponent, representing The Crowe’s Nest, from Tempe, Arizona, she is “The False Prophet”, JAAAAAEEELLLLLLL ARRRRRRRRRCAAAAAAAAANAAAAAAA-ROOOOOOOOSSAAAAAARRIOOOOOOOO!!
Stephanie Matsuda: This is a woman I am quite familiar with. She was one of the first challengers I had for the Women’s World Championship. Jael Arcana-Rosario surprised me that night, but it was no shock that I walked away with the victory. I wouldn’t mind facing her again and defeating her.
Alicia Amby: A way to redeem Jael and The Crowe’s Nest from their losses at Pain for Pride would be winning Empress of Elite and taking the Undisputed Women’s World Championship from you, Stephanie. It will make Pain for Pride a thing in the past for them.
(Ding! Ding! Ding!)
Alicia Amby: This particular Empress of Elite tournament match is underway! The newcomer Sonya Correa takes on the Crowe’s Nest Jael Arcana-Rosario! Both women are circling around each other. Neither woman is making the first move in this match up! It looks like they are strategizing how to approach the other. These women are completely different from one another. Jael leans more into the powerhouse category. Sonya leans more into the technical/MMA category. Sienna takes Mali down to the mat as she still maintains the twist to the back of the arm! She rolls herself in front of Mali as she continues going for some basic grappling. (The camera opens to a boardroom, where GMs Flannery McCoy and Kendra Shamez are sitting with the well-dressed, stern-faced Fox executives. As one conversation ends, another begins, with the executives questioning Flannery and Kendra on their ambassadors for Empire.)
Fox Executive 1: It was already published in the article announcing our deal that we’d like to put certain women at the forefront of this show, but we can’t put our finances in all of them. We need ambassadors.
Flannery McCoy: Well, we have a lot of successful women to make ambassadors. It’s just a matter of deciding out of them.
Fox Executive 2: With all due respect, we wanted ambassadors before the deal was even announced so they could do PR with us ahead of the season premiere. We’re working on a clock here.
Kendra Shamez: And with all due respect to you, we’ve also been dealing with a lot of issues–
(The door to the boardroom suddenly opens and the Crowe’s Nest strolls in. All four are dressed in appropriate business attire. Braxton DeVil throws a box of Crowe’s Nest merch onto the boardroom table whilst Chelsea Crowe, Jael Arcana-Rosario, and Raven Roberts assemble at the front of the room.)
Flannery: Who gave you guys permission to come here?
Jael Arcana-Rosario: We did.
Chelsea Crowe: As the stable that runs this show, we have every right to be here for your little meeting. Especially one that’s about the new ambassadors of Empire.
(In the corner, Braxton has already turned on the projector and hooked up a powerpoint presentation, displaying the Crowe’s Nest’s logo on the big screen at the front.)
Chelsea: I’m sure the discussions are going well, but we’re here to help you come to the right conclusion. Can you name anyone on Empire who has made as big an impact in the last few months as we have?
Kendra Shamez: The Jaded Hearts, Astraea Jordan–
Jael: You mean the #JadedHomophobes who weren’t here last week, and the Astraea who took a loss despite having about six people in her corner? Please. We’re actually here, every single week, and we always perform. Andrea Valentine won’t be able to say the same when she goes off to other brands with the Openweight title, people like Daisy Trash and Consuela have suffered far too many losses to be proud reps, and then who else is there? Flukes, drunks, kids?
Raven Roberts: No one is as fit to represent Empire as the Crowe’s Nest.
Chelsea: People can say what they want, but we’ve proven ourselves to be the biggest force on this show. We don’t need titles to prop ourselves up, we don’t focus on irrelevant details. We’re all about the business.
(The Fox executives’ eyes light up.)
Chelsea: And what’s best for business is us as the ambassadors of Empire. CNN.
(Raven uses a pointer to indicate the letters on the next slide of their powerpoint.)
Chelsea: Crowe’s Nest Network. By making us ambassadors, Fox can make more money than with anyone else. Why? Because we have all the untapped potential in the world. Look at Jael and Raven: neither of them had been with EAW for a year before becoming the inaugural Empire Tag Team Champions. It took me only a matter of months to become not only the Specialists Champion, but one of the few women to win the Specialist Rampage. Who knows where all of us could go from here?
(Braxton clicks over to the next slide, which shows graphs and profits, before stepping to the front.)
Braxton DeVil: And our merch sales are almost unrivalled. The only people who manage to outdo us are the champions, but we still have more merch on sale than anyone else. Which is all in-house, which means no extra expenses for EAW or Fox.
(Braxton and Chelsea make eye contact, and Chelsea finds her opportunity.)
Chelsea: You see this man? Him being here is what Empire’s about: equality. We’re the only stable that accept the only male talent on Empire, whilst others ostracise him and make fun of him. Equality is a part of our mission statement.
Flannery: You have a mission statement?
Raven: Of course. The Crowe’s Nest Network believes in good business ethics and maximising profits for Fox via hard work and supporting each other.
Kendra: Right…
Jael: And we believe everyone should be given equal opportunities for the work they put in and success they have. Since we’re the most hard-working group here, it’s only right we’re given the honour of being the ambassadors.
Fox Executive 1: They make an interesting case.
Chelsea: Did we mention that Fox will get royalties for every merch and headline ticket sale that the Crowe’s Nest make?
Fox Executive 1: They make a VERY interesting case. We haven’t seen a pitch like this since Seth McFarlane begged us to keep Family Guy running. Can any of your other girls give a pitch like that?
Jael: They won’t need to.
Raven: Allow me to summarize. The Crowe’s Nest brings you a unique marketing opportunity. You see, we are three highly attractive women with undeniable talent and personalities. But we also bring you controversy. Why does everyone spend hundreds of dollars to see Floyd Mayweather in a boxing ring? Is it to see their valiant hero? No. In most cases, people buy because they want to see him get beaten. They want to see the great ones knocked down. There’s a reason why I am personally main eventing tonight’s episode. It’s because people want to see someone knock me down because of the impact I’ve made since the REVOLT! merger. Extra viewers tuning in, putting eyes on your product and sponsors, simply because I’m in it. The same goes for the entire Crowe’s Nest. We look good on advertisements. We draw ratings. And we guarantee you merchandising revenue. Who else can truly offer you that entire package?
(Jael gives Raven a light hug, looking like a proud mom.)
Jael: They grow up so fast!
(Chelsea smirks as she directs her attention back to the executives, whilst Braxton silently hands out Crowe’s Nest Network business cards.)
Chelsea: Foxes and crows are both predators of their own ilk. By networking together, we can combine our resources and abilities to truly become a shark in the waters of national broadcasting.
(The executives and GMs look at each other, seemingly impressed.)
Chelsea: Thank you for your time, we trust you’ll make the best decision when it comes to the ambassadors position.
(Chelsea gives one of the executives a wink before leading her group out. The Crowe’s Nest file out of the room, leaving their merch behind for the impressed executives. The executives and GMs watch them leave as we fade to black.)

Cori Simmons: The following match is an Empress of Elite First Round match scheduled for one fall! First, making her way to the ring! From Sydney, Australia! Weighing in at 153 lbs! She’s “Really Good at Professional Wrestling!” Tyler! Wolfe!
Stephanie: This is Empire, sweets. Everyone here is pretty good at wrestling.
SG1: After being one of the final three in the 24/7 Battle Royal, Tyler Wolfe now sets her sights on the Empress of Elite! She’s shown to be one hell of a threat! What do you think of her, Cloud?
Stephanie: I’ve heard of Tyler Wolfe, and even seen a few of her matches in person back in Japan. She’s as fierce as they come, but I’ve beaten the fiercest in this business.

Stephanie: I have to be honest – I’m pulling for my girl Daisy. She’s worked really hard to get this far in the business. There some things she needs to work on, but once she figures it out she’s gonna be unstoppable!
SG1: That’s a lot of faith you have in Daisy, Cloud.
Stephanie: Well what kind of champ would I be if I didn’t believe in the ability of my roster?
Alicia: Good point!

Stephanie Matsuda: Ooo! Nice kick!
Alicia: This match is already in another gear as Tyler falls back, shocked at what just happened!
SG1: It doesn’t look like Daisy is here to play games. You can see the spark in Tyler Wolfe’s eyes! It looks like she just got a wake up call!
Stephanie: It looks like she’s beginning to slow her pace down a bit. People easily underestimate Daisy Thrash and pay for it tenfold.
Alicia: Tyler is in a low catch position, circling around Daisy, who’s standing her ground! She reaches out, but quickly retreats to avoid a low kick!
SG1: It looks like Tyler’s testing the distance between them, possibly planning some kind of takedown! Word on the street is that she has a vicious ground game!
Stephanie: Whoa! She quickly sneaks under Daisy’s guard to initiate a grapple! Damn, she’s fast!
SG1: It looks like she’s forcing the wristlock by bending the fingers! Daisy’s screams gets louder as Tyler’s stepping on her foot! She’s slowly regaining control over the match! Snapmare takedown, followed by a soccer kick to the back!
Alicia: Wow, that kick was harder than the one Croatia gave to England for that second point!
Stephanie: Good thing you said that now and NOT next week, since we’re going to be in England and all…
SG1: Tyler’s demonstrating her power as she picks Daisy up and hit a gutwrench suplex! Thrash is holding her back, but Tyler’s already on top, delivering several knees into the side! Daisy is attempting to worm her way out! Tyler goes for another knee! Wait! Daisy caught the leg and counters with a grounded ankle lock! She has it locked on tight! Tyler reaches the ropes!

SG1: Daisy lets go of the ropes and stands up!
Stephanie: Daisy is showing off just how deep her technical skills go! If anything, she’s letting Tyler know that she has plenty of tricks up her sleeve!
Alicia: The ref is between Daisy and Tyler at the moment. Tyler pushes the ref aside and sneak attacks with a front thrust kick to the gut! Oh come on! That should disqualify her!
SG1: STIFF headbutt from Wolfe, and Daisy stumbles back halfway across the ring! She’s not used to taking shots like that! Tyler WHIPS Daisy to the corner! The force of the impact has Thrash in a seated position! RUNNING METEORA! Those double knees has Thrash rocked to the core!
Stephanie: At the cost of Tyler’s left leg though. You could tell that Daisy’s ankle lock had an effect on her.
SG1: Wolfe’s pulls Daisy from the corner and puts her in a facelock. It looks like she’s going for the Michinoku Driver- Daisy slips out and lands behind Tyler! Standing dropkick to the back and Wolf is knocked into the corner, head-first into the middle turnbuckle!
Alicia: Tyler took a nasty spill into the corner over there! Daisy runs up and starts stomping on the back of Tyler’s head! One! Two! Thre! Four! Thrash picks up Tyler and knocks her back into the corner with a shoulder thrust! Two! Three! Four! Daisy runs to the opposite corner and comes charging back RUNNING HIGH KNEE TO THE FACE! Tyler stumbles out, dazed and confused!
Stephanie: Here it comes…
SG1: Daisy grabs the leg and bends over backwards! Daisy Chain! She has the Muta Lock applied! Tyler Wolfe is in the red!
Stephanie: This is a bad place to be right now! The Muta Lock is secured air tight! Tyler’s trying to fighting out of it!
Alicia: She’s close to the ropes! He just needs to reach out! She’s got it!

Stephanie: No…it’s a scorpion cross lock! I think she calls it the Cry Wolfe!? Yes! TYLER ATTEMPTS TO LOCK IN THE CRY WOLFE!
Alicia: It looks like she’s giving Daisy a taste of her own medicine! Wait! Daisy slips out somehow! She rolls on her back and kicks Tyler away! Daisy kip-ups-
