December was the final month of 2023, and this final month of the year saw some incredible moments throughout EAW. With Road to Redemption, one of the biggest events of the year taking place, the EAW roster was at the top of their game. This especially applies to an Elitist who’d become December’s Elitist of the Month, the new EAW World Champion Charlie Marr! Heading into Road to Redemption, Charlie Marr was scheduled to compete in the finals of the Cash in the Vault tournament against Shinzo Sasaki. In the end Charlie would beat Shinzo, winning the tournament and becoming the new holder of the Cash in the Vault briefcase. However, Charlie wouldn’t hold onto the briefcase for very long, as he’d actually cash in on the same night! Charlie Marr would interrupt the Extreme Elimination Chamber for the EAW World Championship, cashing in and pinning both Rex McAllister and Drake King to become the new Champion on the same night that he won the Cash in the Vault briefcase. This was an extremely shocking moment and an incredible night for Charlie Marr, who is now a World Champion for the second time in his career. Charlie returned to in-ring competition earlier this season, and it’s incredible seeing his rise back to World Championship gold. Congratulations to Charlie Marr!
