As season 18 continues, August saw two different Marquee events in Reckless Wiring and Bloodsport. These events once again saw fantastic performances from the EAW roster, and incredible matches all throughout these shows! Multiple World Championships were on the line, but the Elitist of the Month for the month of August is none other than the EAW World Champion, Jake Smith! While he’s not the most popular Elitist, he accomplished something very big at Bloodsport as he was able to retain his Championship in Barbed Wire Massacre X, with his opponents being Limmy Monaghan and Methuselah! While it was a very controversial victory, this was potentially the greatest challenge that could have been thrown at Jake, and in the end Jake delivered, allowing him to hold onto his Championship. This was a very impressive victory for Jake who had his first successful title defense at Bloodsport, and while his Bloodsport opponents as well as everyone else may not have taken kindly to his victory, there’s no telling just how far Jake may go with his EAW World Championship reign. This was a very tough match, and after making it through this it’s clear that it won’t be easy taking the Championship away from Jake. Congratulations to Jake Smith for his first successful EAW World Championship defense!
