April was a very significant month for EAW, as the road to Pain for Pride has officially started. This month saw one of the biggest events of the entire year play out in Grand Rampage, and as always, it delivered! Every match was fantastic, and once again the Grand Rampage match proved to be one of the most exciting matches EAW has to offer. This match was a huge opportunity for everyone involved, and ultimately the winner would be none other than April’s Elitist of the Month, Jake Smith! Jake Smith isn’t a fan favorite thanks to some of the things he has done to Elitists such as Bronson Daniels, but he has time and time again proven to be a phenomenal competitor, and Grand Rampage turned out to be another phenomenal showing from him. Jake has competed in the Grand Rampage match multiple times, but this year he’d pick up his first victory in the match, outlasting former World Champions, Hall of Famers and more! This was a huge victory for Jake, not just for the accomplishment, but for the fact that he’ll also be main eventing Pain for Pride! This will be the second Pain for Pride main event in his career, which is a very well deserved accomplishment for him. Congratulations to Jake Smith, 2024’s Grand Rampage winner!
