EAW 2K22 Reveal Notes

In a special commercial during Midsummer Massacre 2021, 2K officially unveiled Kassidy Heart as the official cover elitist of the upcoming edition of the EAW video game franchise. Kassidy Heart can now count herself among a small, but significant group of grapplers who previously assumed the role as the face of the EAW 2K Franchise. The internationally recognized video game publisher confirmed its historic selection and other details about EAW 2K22, including the worldwide release date on October 22, 2021. The game will be available worldwide, on Xbox One, Xbox One Series X, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Steam and Epic Games Store. In addition, there will be versons tailored to meet the needs of the Nintendo Switch, Apple, and Android platforms. EAW Supercard will receive an EAW 2K22-themed update scheduled to launch around late September. EAW Topps also announced that their October card series will also include rare EAW 2K22 cards.

The commercial featured various current elitists and legends, attending a private ballroom event hosted by Kassidy Heart. Individuals ranging from Jake Smith, to Impact, to Drake King engaged in a feisty food fight, to where Kassidy Heart would look down at the unveiled pandemonium below from her throne at the end.

In addition to its cover Superstar selection, 2K provided the first glimpse of what the EAW fanbase can expect from EAW 2K22. The features 2K confirmed will be in the upcoming EAW 2K video game include:

• A new 2K showcase mode highlighting the accomplished careers of Cameron Ella Ava, CM Banks, and Impact.
• A complete revamp of various modes such as Rivalry, Universe, MyRing, and Chairman.
• New and improved state-of-the-art customized options when putting together your own Elitists, Venues, Match Types, Maneuvers, and Scenes.
• The ability to compete as male and female Elitists in MyCareer and Mixed Tag Team Matches.
• Over 500 new scenes and 200 playable characters, with more than 80% of the in-game roster having recorded in-house voiceovers.
• The inaugural debut of EAW Towers mode, with an all-new Tower inspired by the storied career of Mr. DEDEDE. It allows players to unlock special attires for elitists, or upgrade cards for their MyElitist!
• Updated controls to make EAW 2K22 more accessible to new players.
• Current and past championships are also expected to debut new designs and superior detail.
• Updated and new match types ranging from Divide and Conquer, High Voltage, to Glass Wallz, Electric Dog Collar, and many more! + King Of Elite tournament and EAW Draft!
• An overhauled in-game currency system called Elite Coins/E-Coins formerly EAW Bucks.
• The debut of MyTeam where you build together a team of one male elitist, one female elitist, and a duo and face off against other players online. Build your team with superstar cards presented by EAW Topps.
• New to MyElitist and MyCareer, will be an all new interactive experience within the EAW Performance Center in Newark, New Jersey. Here is where random elitists can queue up to compete against other places online in friendly competition. It also includes the Extreme Enigma Training Facility, where players can increase their strength, speed, stamina, and other attributes.
• The return of EAW Road To Pain For Pride, centering around Xander Payne’s journey to Pain For Pride 14.

Revamped and updated arenas for Season 15

EAW 2K22 will release updated versions of the Voltage, Dynasty, Showdown, and Fight Frid arenas. Free Per View arenas are also slated to appear in the game, with the addition of the World 1 Theatre. A majority of past events’ venues will only be exclusive through the purchase with the overhauled in-game currency system (now Elite Coins) that can be earned via an in-game reward system or purchased directly from the store using real world money.

There will also be a new soundtrack providing fresh tunes in the background ranging from the likes of Grandson, Drake, Tyler The Creator, to Lil Durk.
