(Friday Night Dynasty intro plays. Afterwards, a fast-paced montage is shown off recapping the events and results of Dynasty’s latest marquee event House of Glass: BRAE defeated Isaac Crow, Clayton Golde, and Mia Santoro in an Elimination Glass Tables match to retain the EAW New Breed Championship. Drake Armstrong defeated Kirk Redwood in a Glass Crypt Match.
Daniella Atlas defeated Saori Aizen in a Glass Rope Match to retain the EAW Specialists Championship. Holly Arrow defeated Vincent Mondrian in a Light Tube Deathmatch. Fire & Ice defeated Michael Machina and Bea Valentine in a Tag Team Alpha Glass Death Match. Cy Henderson defeated SOSA Henderson in a Fans Bring the Glass Weapons Match. Hans Grayson defeated Chris Elite in a Glass Pit match to retain the EAW Interwire Championship. Drake King defeated Minerva in a 10,000 Shards Match. Lastly, Joso defeated Myles in a Glass Wallz match to win the EAW World Heavyweight Championship.)
(Friday Night Dynasty transitions to a live broadcast, and the GrandWest Grand Arena in Cape Town, South Africa is shown off before the shot goes inside. The fans are excited as can be, wearing their merch and showing off their signs for various Elitists. The pyro goes off, and after a few more camera shots show off more of the crowd, one settles on the commentary team.)
Stew-O: WE ARE BACK AFTER AN INSANE HOUSE OF GLASS!
Jake Mercer: Bro, half of our roster is literally cooked. 😭
Flannery McCoy: I wouldn’t go as far as to say that, but many of them did go through some grueling match ups last weekend. Some aren’t even present for tonight, let alone competing. That’s how much of a toll House of Glass can take on everyone.
Stew-O: That is true. However, it hasn’t stopped us from coming back and bringing you all a live edition of Friday Night Dynasty, so welcome, EAW Universe! I am Stew-O, and as always, I am joined by Jake Mercer and Flannery McCoy. Now, lets get the show on the road as we celebrate a major win stemming from last week in Cairo, Egypt!
(‘2024’ by Playboi Carti hits, and the fans in Cape Town immediately get up on their feet, cheering and chanting.)
Crowd: JO-SO! JO-SO! JO-SO! JO-SO!
(Not long afterward, Joso walks out, and the already-loud crowd erupts into a deafening roar. The arena is bathed in flashing red and gold lights, matching the beat of the song. The camera gets closer, and cuts and bruises are visible on the new EAW World Heavyweight Champion. However, Joso stands at the top of the entrance ramp, a smirk on his face as he soaks in the adulation. Then, he takes the title from his shoulder and raises it up high into the air.)
Stephie Love: Ladies and gentlemen, please give a warm welcome to the 202 King of Elite and your NEW EAW World Heavyweight Champion… JOOOOOOOOOSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
Crowd: NEJFNFNRNJEGNKEGGENENGRGRGUJNRGNSNGSJGNTNNRTLERGJGJGJOJOIJHRHJRGGJNGRJRGPIJIRJGGOIRIJTGTTGFDNVRGBNERIIPEGJPIERPGJPEJGPJRJPRGPREJERPDFNVDBNJOEGPIAEJPGFDVAWPEFRGGNDKAKKJSFDSFJWHEOIHFUGKVNSDOHOEPJEOUVKPVWAPGPARGEGAGLDFANGANJOEPGAPERGDGANRGPANRPGAPERGPAEMMlAKJKJKDJALKSLAFADFLKJLWEJOIFJWIOGVNVKLSLOEBKOFKOEINVNNODHIETUWYHAASJ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Stew-O: AND WHAT A WELCOME FROM THE EAW UNIVERSE AS THEY GREET THE NEW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION WITH OPENED ARMS! I CAN BARELY HEAR MYSELF OVER THEM!
Jake Mercer: Guess you can say this is an entrance and welcome befitting of a king!
Flannery McCoy: It wasn’t an easy road for him, far from it. He and Myles went through a WAR last Saturday at House of Glass, and as everyone can see, those marks tell the entire story of it. However, it also tells a tale of resilience, persistence, and never wavering even when faced with a seemingly impossible task. Joso’s wearing those same scars with pride, and he’s holding that title up like a trophy he won after a grueling contest—because that’s exactly what it is.
(Joso slaps hands with fans along the barricade, stopping to share a few words with a young fan holding a “KING JOSO” sign. The kid is nearly in tears, overwhelmed with excitement, and Joso leans down to hug him before handing him his pair of signature shades.)
Jake Mercer: He definitely is a man of the people. :wow:
(Finally, Joso reaches the ring, sliding in under the bottom rope and immediately hopping up onto the turnbuckle. He lifts the championship high once more, his smirk replaced by an expression of pure, unfiltered joy. He’s made it to the pinnacle, and he’s soaking it all in. As he steps down from the turnbuckle, he grabs a mic from ringside and stands in the center of the ring, taking a moment to compose himself as the crowd slowly quiets down, still buzzing with excitement.)
Joso: CAPE TOWN… WE DID IT!!!
(The crowd erupts in cheers, with some fans in the front row starting a “You Deserve It!” chant that quickly spreads throughout the arena.)
Crowd: YOU DESERVE IT! 👏 👏 👏👏👏 YOU DESERVE IT! 👏 👏 👏👏👏
Joso: Thank you. Thank you so much. I can’t even begin to describe what this moment means to me. Last Saturday, I stepped into House of Glass with one mission: to become the World Heavyweight Champion. And you all know it wasn’t easy… Myles pushed me to my absolute limit. We went through hell, and I’m not gonna stand here and pretend that I came out unscathed.
(He points to the cuts and bruises on his face and body.)
Joso: But these scars? They’re earned. They’re the price of making history… and I’d pay it all over again if it meant I’d stand here today as your champion.
Crowd: :blessed: !!
Joso: Hell, I’d do the whole journey again if it meant it would lead me to this point in time. I knew I wanted to be a world champion, but I also wanted to prove my worth. I know that I had a bit of a fast rise, from winning the New Era Classic when I wasn’t even half a year in this company, to taking down one of the most dominant Elitists of all time to capture the Interwire Championship. I got to compete in Anarchy in the Arena. I got to elevate the Interwire division. And I got to brush my shoulders against some of the greatest of all time. I was showing early on that I had what it took to cement my name as a standout, but of course, that was also gonna be a double-edged sword since people are gonna think that I’d either get complacent with the success I was seeing, or that I’d fall off once I truly got into the thick of things as far as the competition is concerned. I wanted to make sure that I’d leave no shadows of doubt that I was as good as I make myself out to be, and really, that mentality has carried me all throughout my time here in EAW. It was only natural that after I lost the Interwire title, built myself back up and won King of Elite earlier this year I would keep the hustle going. ‘Cause for as much as I believe in my abilities and natural talent, I also knew there was some fine tuning I needed to do before I cashed in my opportunity and made due on it.
Joso: I can confidently say that if I had pulled the trigger immediately after winning King of Elite that I wouldn’t be a world champion now. Yeah, I was still a bit of a dickhead about certain things, and while I felt like I had been challenged, I also wanted to make sure that everyone I faced from that point onward were going to push me to my limit. I did fail against Jamie O’Hara, but I also beat Impact. Both outcomes helped shape me, and strengthened my blade, and I was able to learn a lot with those two. Drake King, yeah, Andre thought he could be slick and got involved in our match, and I bet a part of Drake is still stewing over that. Actually… nah, he IS still stewing over that. However, it is what it is, and even though I still hate how that whole thing went down, at least it showed me I gotta be ready at a moment’s notice and take the opportunity to get the job done, no hesitation involved. Then, it came time to face Myles, and while I had a near-perfect record this year and everything else, there were still some flaws, some of them that Myles himself pointed out to me.
(Joso nods his head, recounting everything.)
Joso: Myles was right about a lot of things. He said I was hungry, but maybe not hungry enough. He questioned if I had the killer instinct to finish the job when it truly mattered when the stakes were the highest. And I gotta say, he is one slippery-ass debater, because he even used my own words and statements against me. Shit, I can kinda see why people often get a little trippy when it comes to facing him, ‘cause if you aren’t intimidated about him being a world champion’s world champion and someone who has continued to be an active, dominant force, then you’re gonna stumble over your own words since that dude knows how to clap back at you. 😂 He is way too smart for his own good, man. But you know what? It came from experience. It all came from him going through the exact same kind of trials and tribulations, and while it could’ve been easy for me to get discouraged—or even allowed some of the things he said to get to me, I knew that I had to get in that ring and proved him wrong. Show him that the New Era I intend to lead isn’t a fantasy or even something to only make myself look good. Nah. That shit is real, and when I have said that I was gonna be at the forefront of that, I meant it. I may not be like him. I may not be the idea of what it means to be this perfect champion or a perfect leader, but I’m Joso, baby, and that in itself was more than enough for me to beat him inside of Glass Wallz at House of Glass.
(The crowd responds with loud applause and cheers, sensing the raw authenticity in Joso’s words. He paces around the ring, the EAW World Heavyweight Championship still draped over his shoulder. He shakes his head and lets out a little chuckle to himself.)
Joso: It wasn’t easy. Being in that match, He made me dig deeper than I ever have before. He pushed me past every limit I thought I had. And when those Glass Wallz were closing in, when the pain was becoming almost unbearable, I kept hearing his words in my head. I kept thinking about everything he said leading up to that match—about whether I was really cut out for this, about whether I could stand at the top and hold my own.
(Joso’s voice deepens with intensity, his grip on the championship tightening.)
Joso: But you know what? That doubt… it didn’t break me. It did the opposite. It made me stronger. It reminded me of why I’m here, why I fight, and why I put my body on the line every single night. Myles questioned if I had the killer instinct, and at House of Glass, I showed him exactly what I’m made of. I showed him that I can take everything he’s got and still rise up to claim what’s mine. I took took every criticism, every setback, and every damn punch to the face, and I came back stronger and better than before. All of that culminated in me taking down one of the all-time greats, and now, I’m a world champion.
(The fans cheer loudly.)
Crowd: JO-SO! JO-SO! JO-SO!
(Joso nods along with the chants, a proud smile spreading across his face.)
Joso: Yeah, that’s right. I’m Joso, and I’m the EAW World Heavyweight Champion. Not because I got lucky, or because I took shortcuts, but because I fought like hell for it. And I’ll keep fighting, day in and day out, to make sure this title stays right here, on my shoulder. And I want for all of y’all to do the same thing as well, ‘cause trust me, not many people thought some gutsy kid from the Bronx would make it this far. I’ve been counted out many, many times. They said I wouldn’t last, that I wasn’t tough enough or experienced enough to be a champion in EAW, let alone even last in a promotion of this stature, but you know what? I used every bit of that doubt as fuel. I took every insult, every “you’ll never make it,” and I turned it into motivation. That’s why this moment is more than just a victory for me. It’s a victory for all the underdogs out there. It’s a victory for anyone who’s ever been told they weren’t good enough, smart enough, or strong enough to make their dreams come true. It’s a reminder that you can come from anywhere, from the Bronx or from the bottom, and still reach the top if you’ve got the heart and the will to fight for it.
Joso: So, to everyone watching right now—whether you’re sitting in this arena or watching from home—know that you can do it, too. You might get knocked down, you might face setbacks, and people might count you out… but you can’t let that define you. You gotta get back up, again and again, and keep fighting for what you want.
(That gets a huge round of applause from everyone in attendance. Some of the camera shots show off a few fans’ faces, where Joso’s words clearly touched them.)
Flannery McCoy: Joso is pouring his heart out tonight. He’s speaking his truth, and I think a lot of the EAW universe can see themselves in him.
(Joso nods, grinning even more.)
Joso: And trust me, with a lot of y’all believing in yourslevs, as corny and cliched as it may be, at leas it’ll bring about a new era of people betting on themselves no matter what. I want the same for EAW here. I want everyone here to be able to make due on the countless opportunities that are presented here. I want for everyone to be able to fight for what they believe in and not let anyone discourage them. It’s competitive as hell over here, but if you got the work ethic, the heart, and frankly, aren’t afraid to takes some lumps and bumps along the way, even if not everything may go your way… then you’re gonna make it far. And I want to be able to inspire that. I want everyone to come at me at their best, because then, only those who are capable of reaching the peak here can—
(All of a sudden, Joso is interrupted mid-speech as ‘Enemy Strike’ by Yuki Hayashi hits. Everyone reacts in shock.)
Jake Mercer: NO WAY, HE’S HERE!??
(Sure enough, it is Myles in the flesh. He has his own battle wounds on display. The fans are a mixed bag; some of them are excited that despite passing out last Saturday, he is still able to be physically present. But the other side are anxious, and an obvious thought creeps into the mind of many…)
Flannery McCoy: He is! But I can’t help but to think there is one reason he is out here tonight, especially with his eyes focused on the new champion!
(Both men stare at each from a distance… that is, until Myles takes it upon himself to get closer. Each step forward by the former EAW World Heavyweight Champion leads him to the ring, and then, within it. Any space between him and the new champion is closed off, and the two stare. Joso is a little more on guard, mind racing with all sorts of possibilities.)
Stew-O: :lupe: It may very well be that case.
Crowd: :lupe:
(Myles signals for a microphone, and one of the ringside crew members oblige, handing it off to him. His theme fades. The tension in the air is thick, an uncomfortable anticipation rising as the whole world seemingly stops to wait for the inevitable. Joso’s knuckles nearly whiten as he curls his fingers more tightly around the championship.)
Joso: …
Myles: …
(Then, the silence ends as Myles speaks.)
Myles: Ever since you beat me last week, Joso, I had one question on my mind, and that was: will he be able to carry out the legacy of this title? It was the one thing that has been nagging at me, haunting me, even. Leading up to House of Glass, I had my doubts. I thought your philosophy was off. How you charged into things was reckless. I didn’t think that your approach towards the biggest match of your career was the right one. And with your attacks against me on top of it all? They all just heightened not only my weariness, but frustrations with you as well.
(Everyone, from Joso, to the commentators, and the fans watch on as Myles speaks, being united in one singular idea of what was going to happen.)
Myles: There were many flaws you had, and as someone who not only embodies what it means to be a world champion, but genuinely cares for the prestige of every championship I may hold, I couldn’t be at ease. You would get the gold, the glory, all of the marbles and everything else nice that comes with it, but then, when the smokes settles and the glitters stop raining down from the sky, bathing your with all of that adulation and validation… what would Joso do? In fact, who would Joso even be? Would he be someone who elevates the competition, being a fighting champion, and forcing his opponents to up their game not out of self-righteous ego, but to see them be instilled with principles and ideals that can carry with them in the long term positively? Will the world heavyweight championship, the most decorated title in all of EAW, be represented to the absolute fullest, without fail? Will you evolve in your own right, never settling, getting lazy and complacent all because you were able to reach the mountaintop?
Myles: … Or would you fail? Would you not be able to accomplish any of that, and in turn, would you only disappoint and embarrass me by not even coming close to doing the things that I have done for that championship?
(Joso purses his lips. However, Myles continues, pacing back and forth.)
Myles: When I had to be stretchered out, all I could mutter out was, “just make it all worthwhile, Joso. Please. Make good on everything you have been able to achieve tonight.” It wasn’t some lucid state, but a real, gnawing plea that unearthed itself from me, because heading into House of Glass, I didn’t think you were ready. Not just ready to beat me, but ready in the event that you did, you wouldn’t be ready for the great responsibility that lay ahead for you. I just didn’t see it. Feel it. Believe it. I couldn’t.
(Myles pauses, letting his true feelings known. Joso’s gaze fell to the mat. The fans wait, concern and apprehension taking hold of their expressions.)
Myles: … But after everything, Joso?
(Myles stops right in front of him.)
Myles: I can say you are more than worthy of inheriting the legacy I forged.
(The fans immediately come unglued. Joso himself looks surprised. However, his shock wears off as a smile forms on Myles’ face.)
Myles: I took the time to process everything you said, everything that happened, and you’re right. You didn’t beat me by following my mold. You beat me by being yourself. And it’s funny, because I have referred to myself as the imperfect Warlord. My career hasn’t been spotless. I have made some mistakes in my own right. However, I… suppose with carrying that title, I forgot the road I went on towards getting it. I improved, sure, and I still maintain that Elitists here need to take that deep, invasive look within their being so that those flaws do not overtake them, but at the same time, one must not lose the core essence of what makes them… well, them. It’s not about being perfect. It’s about being authentic.
(He chuckles, briefly closing your eyes.)
Myles: It’s the same thing Jamie said before we were set to battle one another for the last time.
(He reopens his eyes, looking at Joso more warmly.)
Myles: And you reminded me of that, Joso. There’s no singular mold for greatness. The same way I carved my path by embracing my imperfections and using them to push me forward, you did the same—just in your own style. You showed me that carrying this title isn’t just about being a symbol of excellence… it’s about being real, being raw, and being true to yourself, and that is the only thing that should be replicated. THAT is the only thing others should take from you. So, I thank you, Joso, for making me remember what is truly important here.
(The fans cheer madly. Joso’s gaze remains fixed on Myles, his respect evident. He takes a step forward, lifting the microphone to respond, his voice filled with genuine emotion.)
Joso: Myles… I don’t know what to say, man. For you to stand here, after everything we’ve been through, and say that… it means more to me than you’ll ever know.
(The crowd continues to cheer, feeling the sincerity of Joso’s words.)
Joso: I know we’ve had our differences. I know I’ve pissed you off more than once—hell, more than twice—but I want you to understand something. I never attacked you out of disrespect. I never came at you with reckless abandon just to make a name for myself at your expense. I did it because I had to. Because I knew that if I wanted to stand where I am right now, as the EAW World Heavyweight Champion, I needed to prove that I was capable of beating the very best. And I know there’s a long road ahead. I know I have a lot to learn, a lot to prove, and a legacy to build upon. But trust me, Myles: I’m not going to waste this opportunity. I’m not going to let the weight of this title crush me. I’m going to use it to push myself, to elevate everyone around me, and to make damn sure that when people look back at this era, they’ll say that I made good on everything I promised.
(Joso pauses, looking down at the EAW World Heavyweight Championship on his shoulder. He lifts it slightly, as if to reaffirm his commitment to the words he’s spoken.)
Joso: You passed the torch to me tonight, Myles, and I swear on everything I’ve got… I will carry it with honor.
(Myles nods his head, his smile widening. It’s a genuine expression on his part, and as he continues to look at Joso, he can feel every weight of each word spoken. Myles raises his microphone once again.)
Myles: Good, because we have a bit of business to talk about.
(The cheering stops. Joso’s own smile drops.)
Myles: … What? I’m not gonna challenge him, people. He beat me fair and square. :mjlol: !!
(Myles can’t help but laugh at everyone’s reaction. The crowd, caught off guard by Myles’s sudden shift in tone, bursts into laughter, a mix of relief and amusement filling the arena. Even Joso can’t help but crack a grin himself, feeling his shoulders loosen.)
Joso: Ain’t gonna lie, man, you had me sweating.
Myles: Wasn’t my intention. Although, I was serious about the business part, or rather, the reality that you’re gonna be met with now.
(Once again, the fans quiet down, and Joso gives Myles all of his attention, intrigued and curious by what he meant.)
Myles: You beat me. Not to humble brag, but that is an achievement seeing as how I was just one win away from breaking a plethora of records and I haven’t been pinned in well over a year now, I believe. Unless, I got Kassidy’s CTE unknowingly when we teamed last year. Just something about us Australians. :wow:
Joso: :wow:
Crowd: :wow:
Myles: But on a serious note, Joso… you already know that you have to keep your game up, but you also need to do the same for your guard. House of Glass was monumental for a variety of reasons, but now… Road to Redemption awaits. No doubt you will be defending that championship in the Extreme Elimination Chamber, and while I won that match, I can tell you from personal experience it is not a walk in a park. Not only is that going to be your first defense, but I’m also certain that this is your first chamber match of any kind as well, correct?
Joso: Yeah, it is.
Myles: Right. You have a lot on your plate compared to the other world champions who could defend, such as TLA, Jake Smith, Adam Lucas, KASAI, or even your good pal Milli as they all have at least been in that sort of match before at least once. That means that even though you’re the champion, anyone who’s competing in that match against you are going to be looking at you like fresh meat.
(A growing sense of worry stems from the fans.)
Myles: I’m not here to psyche you out. Don’t need for you to be trembling or showing any kind of nerves. However, as someone who always look at things objectively, and with you being the person who has proven themself to be my worthy successor, I need for you to understand you aren’t just simply stepping into a match. You are going to have to go through war, even more than you did against me last weekend, if you want to win.
(Joso slowly nods his head. The weight of everything clearly is getting to him. He looks up at Myles and speaks.)
Joso: Okay. So… what kind of advice can you give to me, then? How do I go about heading into a match like that?
(Myles takes some time to gather his thoughts, letting Joso’s questions marinate. However, after a while, he gently places his hands on his shoulder and says…)
Myles: … Follow your gut instinct. It’s gotten you this far, right? It won’t fail you.
(Joso blinks. However, before he can ask anything more from Myles, he leaves the ring. Joso and everyone else watches on.)
Stew-O: Wow. A passing of the torch moment, and a lesson to be learned. However, Myles wants for Joso to remain true to himself, no matter what, even with his first defense shaping up to be the most intense match of his career!
Jake Mercer: Yeah, these chamber matches are not for the faint of heart. Joso is really going to have to lock in, because as history has shown, not many world champions get to walk out of Road to Redemption with their titles still in their possession. He’s gonna have to defy the odds AND break a common trend at this show if he wants to continue leading this New Era of Dynasty.
Flannery McCoy: But Myles believes in him. The fans believe in him. Joso certainly is going to believe in him in spite of the odds. And who knows? Maybe all of that and more will be enough for Joso to walk out of Canada with the EAW World Heavyweight Championship still within his possession.
(He glances down at the title he has on his shoulders. Myles has disappeared to the back. Joso’s theme hits, and he shakes off whatever lingering thoughts he may have, raising the title up high. The fans chant for him.)
Crowd: JO-SO! JO-SO! JO-SO!
(Joso grins. The last show focuses on him before the show transitions backstage into the office of Richard Grant and Kensingten Calhoun-Astor, who are smirking.)
Kensingten Calhoun-Astor: You know what? Perhaps it was better this way. Joso will likely stumble and have the most embarrassing loss of any world champion in the history of this promotion. :mjlol: I mean, how can he survive in an environment he is clearly not equipped to handle?
Richard Grant: God certainly does work in mysterious but incredible ways! :booker: I can’t wait to see the look on that stupid boy’s face when he loses, or better yet, gets eliminated early on and all of that supposed hard work goes up in flames for him. That will humble him.
Kensingten Calhoun-Astor: Oh, absolutely. Maybe we can throw him into the New Breed division as a consolation… but that division actually has leveled up thanks to BRAE, and seeing as how he “beat” him through unsavory means, I’m sure the champion will handle him thoroughly.
Richard Grant: Heh. True. Or perhaps we can have him deal with Hans Grayson? He’s already on pace to outdoing his Interwire reign, so might as well let him beat him and put a definitive stamp on that!
(The two chuckle and cackle. However, they quell them once they both have their respective light bulbs going off.)
Kensingten Calhoun-Astor: Speaking of which, Richie… I think I have a bright idea.
Richard Grant: Same here, Kensi.
(They smirk at each other as Dynasty fades to the first set of commercials for the evening.)
(A commercial plays for Showdown’s upcoming marquee show The Last Stand, being main evented by the Temple of Trials match featuring the Jaded Hearts, Charlie Marr and TLA, and Elysium consisting of Bronson Daniels and Jon Kelton.)
(Dynasty returns from break. ‘The Seven Sisters’ by Celldweller begins to play as a warm reception for Corey Hale as he walks out, looking quite calm, but focused. He takes a moment or two to look at the sold out crowd before nodding and making his way down the ramp.)
Stephie Love: THE FOLLOWING MATCH IS SCHEDULED FOR ONE FALL–
Crowd: ONE FALL!!!!!!!
Stephie Love: INTRODUCING FIRST…FROM PHOENIX, ARIZONA…WEIGHING IN AT 200 POUNDS…HE IS ‘THE CELESTIAL WANDERER’…COREY HALE!!!!!!!!!
Stew-O: On the Dynasty before House of Glass, Corey Hale took on Jay Starr in a winning effort. He looks to carry on that momentum with a victory over Nejari Young. But, I was doing a little research on Corey and he practices Tai-Chi in his spare time or before wrestling.
Jake Mercer: It’s one of those exercises that is very useful in the long run, Stew! All the greats in Japan do it! It’s described as “meditation in motion.” There’s never any force when doing these exercises. Never pressure or pull to the muscles, but it can be easily adapted for anyone. And judging by the shape that Corey is in, it seems like he has found something that works well for him.
Flannery McCoy: Majored in Philosophy in college after his parents insisted that he had a ‘back-up’ plan. He uses that for his sharpened mindset along with a passion for wrestling.
Stew-O: I look forward to seeing how that pairs up against Nejari Young.
(‘Carnival’ by Ty Dolla $ign, Ye, and ¥$ begins to replace ‘The Seven Sisters’ as the crowd is up on their feet for Nejari Young. Nejari is hyping up the crowd, oozing confidence as he seems to be more wild and out there in comparison to a calm Corey Hale.)
Stephie Love: AND INTRODUCING HIS OPPONENT…FROM SHREVEPORT, LOUISIANA…WEIGHING IN AT 228 POUNDS… HE IS THE ‘WALKING MAIN EVENT’…NEJARI YOUNG!!!!!!!
Stew-O: The Dynasty before House of Glass, Nejari Young took on Drake Armstrong. Nejari put on a great effort, but it was the slick and cunning nature of Drake that caused him to call for victory. For a second match in this company and already getting placed in a match with a former New Breed and Interwire Champion, that’s crazy to think about! But, it just shows how much faith those on Dynasty have in him.
Flannery McCoy: Before that, he was placed in a one-on-one against Clayton Golde. Another mainstay in EAW. Sometimes, EAW looks to place newcomers against newcomers for a few matches, so that they can adjust themselves to the company, But, they are basically throwing Nejari Young into the wolves and he’s been taking it like a pro.
Jake Mercer: This crowd has begun to warm up to Nejari Young! Despite losing last week, I don’t think that it made this crowd turn on him. But, I wouldn’t be shocked if he has his doubters and that’s something that he is going to need to fight. Maybe, he’ll prove people wrong like he did in his debut.
(DING! DING! DING!)
(Corey Hale and Nejari Young find themselves side stepping, creating a circle as they go in for a lock up. But, Corey manages to apply a wrist lock to Nejari before rolling forward, twisting the wrist even more. Corey goes back before kipping up to his feet. He takes that wrist lock to the back of Nejari as Nejari tries to reach to the back of him, looking for the neck of Corey — )
Stew-O: But, Corey Hale manages to lift up Nejari Young and throws him behind — NEJARI MANAGES TO LAND ON HIS FEET AS HE TURNS COREY AROUND! NEJARI WITH A KICK TO THE GUT! BUT, COREY MANAGES TO CATCH THE FOOT OF NEJARI! NEJARI REALIZES THAT HE MAY HAVE FOUND HIMSELF IN A BIT OF TROUBLE AS HE LOOKS TO CONNECT WITH AN ENZIGURI! But, Corey manages to step a little further away as Nejari’s leg goes spinning and falls flat to the ground! I think that we’re going to see Corey looking to wrap up this match with a submission move —
Flannery McCoy: Wait! I think that we’re going to see Corey Hale apply some sort of paradise lock before turning him to his knees! Corey begins to go back before running and delivering a punt kick to the butt as that causes for Nejari Young to wiggle out of the lock! Corey seems to be quite calm about the matter! Nejari tries to find his way back to his feet, but Corey manages to pull Nejari closer into a front headlock kind of position as he looks to hoist him up with a gut wrench suplex! But, Nejari looks to be getting himself back to his feet as Corey pulls him into a powerbomb position but —
Jake Mercer: But, Nejari Young manages to push himself out of the position! He connects with a superkick as that takes Corey Hale back! Nejari pushes Corey into the horizontal set of ropes as he connects with a body splash that takes Corey down! Nejari begins to connect with a series of left and right stomps to the chest of ‘The Celestial Wanderer!’ He goes back before charging towards him and nailing him with a dropkick to the face! He pulls Corey away from the ropes and closer to the middle of the ring!
OOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNEEEEEEE!!!!!
Stew-O: Corey Hale is still alive in this match up! He recollects himself to his feet as Nejari Young manages to take him back down with a knee to the gut! Then, Nejari connects with a superkick that causes him to stumble back! Nejari pulls him closer into a front headlock before lifting him and looking for a suplex! But, Corey manages to block the suplex! Instead, he begins to connect with some fists to the ribs of the ‘Walking Main Event!’ He takes back as he creates a bit of separation there! Nejari looks to keep up with the defense that he was building up! But, Corey manages to connect with a hip toss, but he maintains control of the arm! He manages to pull back the arm, causing Nejari to yelp a bit!
Flannery McCoy: We’re seeing a bit of technical prowlness with Corey Hale! He looks to apply the arm bar on Nejari Young! Nejari knows that it is not the best situation to find himself as he quickly manages to get his foot on the bottom rope in front of him! Corey does not argue with that! He remains calm and looks for a new way to approach this match! He backs away as he lifts Nejari up to his feet! But, Corey runs towards Nejari and nails him in the gut with a dropkick as he collides spine-first against those horizontal sets of ropes! Then, we see Corey getting Nejari by one of the arms and twisting it onto that bottom rope! A moment passes before Corey kicks the arm into that bottom rope! Nejari yelps once more as the referee needs to find himself in the middle of all of this!
Jake Mercer: Corey Hale is quite calm in this situation, but there’s a focus there. He doesn’t mind that Nejari Young is being evaluated. He is using the opportunity to be strategic. It seems like Nejari can continue on with this match! He tries to find himself on his feet, but Corey connects with a clothesline as he looks to clothesline Nejari over the top rope! BUT, NEJARI MANAGES TO LAND RIGHT ON THE APRON! COREY LOOKS TO CONNECT WITH A FOREARM TO KNOCK NEJARI OUT OF THE RING, BUT NEJARI CONNECTS WITH A SHOULDER THRUST THROUGH THE MIDDLE ROPE AND INTO THE GUT OF COREY AS THAT CAUSES HIM TO GO BACK! NOW, WE SEE THAT NEJARI IS GOING FOR THE TOP TURNBUCKLE! HE IS GOING TO TAKE A HIGH RISK!
Stew-O: But, it seems like Corey Hale is looking to meet Nejari Young up on that top turnbuckle! The two of these Elitists find themselves in a very vulnerable position! Nejari is looking to connect with some elbows to the ribs of Corey! COREY IS NOT ALLOWING FOR HIS GRASP ON NEJARI TO SLIP AWAY FROM HIM! COREY CONNECTS WITH AN INVERSE SUPERPLEX FROM THE TOP ROPE! HE LIFTS HIM UP AND SLAMS HIM DOWN FOR THE MICHINOKU DRIVER II-B AS HE TAKES NEJARI FOR A COVER ATTEMPT THERE!
OOOOOOONNNNNNEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!
TTTTTWWWWWWOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
Flannery McCoy: Nejari Young with a kick out! Corey Hale gets to his feet as he lifts Nejari up to his feet! Corey has possession of Nejari’s waist before taking him back with a German suplex! Corey throws Nejari to the corner! But, we see that Nejari manages to catch himself on his feet! Corey turns around as he looks to clothesline Nejari into that corner, BUT NEJARI MANAGES TO CATCH COREY WITH A FOREARM TO THE SIDE OF HIS FACE BEFORE PULLING HIM CLOSER AND CONNECTING WITH FLAPJACK AS COREY’S FACE COLLIDES WITH THE TURNBUCKLE! NEJARI POSITIONS COREY BACK AGAINST THE CORNER BEFORE TAKING FEW STEPS BACK —
Jake Mercer: Almost like a freight train, Nejari Young goes right at Corey Hale with a hip attack at the corner! Corey eating that hip as Nejari is giving some of his smooth trash talking before grabbing Corey by a fist full of his hair! He gets him in a front headlock before connecting with a delayed vertical suplex as he floats him over for the cover attempt!
OOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!
TTTTTWWWWWWWOOO—
Stew-O: Corey Hale with a kick out! Nejari Young gets Corey in a seated position! Nejari gets up before backing away and connects with a penalty kick to the spine of Corey! Just look at the facial expression on Corey, Flannery and Jake! That looks like it hurts! Nejari begins to connect with a series of shoot kicks to the spine of ‘The Celestial Wanderer.’ Corey is trying to turn his body to the side and block these shots to the body! But, Nejari is nailing him with each one! Slowly, we are seeing Corey rising up to his feet as Nejari looks to continue to connect with these shoot kicks —
Flannery McCoy: COREY HALE MANAGES TO KICK NEJARI YOUNG BY SURPRISE AS HE TURNS HIS LEG AROUND AS HE LOOKS TO CATCH NEJARI BY SURPRISE BY A SLEEPER HOLD! BUT, NEJARI CONNECTS WITH A JAWBREAKER AS THAT CAUSES COREY TO STUMBLE BACK A BIT! COREY GOES RIGHT AFTER NEJARI, BUT NEJARI CONNECTS WITH A DROP TOE HOLD AS HE CAUSES COREY TO GO DOWN! Nejari sees that Corey is stumbling to his knees as he looks to take him down with a superkick! That causes him to stumble back, so Nejari manages to get one of the arms of Nejari before looking for that ripcord back elbow called ‘Backdoor’ —
Jake Mercer: But, Corey Hale manages to roll himself out of the ring! He just saved himself from getting knocked out completely! But, Nejari Young is not looking to have his time wasted as —
Stew-O: NEJARI YOUNG GOES OVER THE TOP ROPE AND CONNECTS WITH THE VAULTING PLANCHA TO THE OUTSIDE! HE LANDS RIGHT ON TOP OF COREY HALE! THE TWO ELITISTS FIND THEMSELVES DOWN AS THE CROWD RISES TO THEIR FEET! Nejari finds himself at his feet first as he grabs Corey and connects with an uppercut as he takes Corey back! But, Corey connects with a punch to Nejari’s face! Nejari connects with another uppercut and he seems to keep it up! He connects with another uppercut and another one! He grabs Corey by his arm as he looks to whip Corey to the barricade!
Flannery McCoy: But, Corey Hale counters that whip as he sends Nejari Young into that barricade! Corey looks like he wants to clothesline Nejari over the barricade! BUT, NEJARI MANAGES TO KEEP HIMSELF DOWN! HE CONNECTS WITH A PALM STRIKE TO THE STOMACH OF COREY BEFORE LIFTING HIM UP AND CONNECTING WITH A SAMOAN DROP AS THAT TAKES HIM DOWN! NEJARI YOUNG GETS COREY AND ROLLS HIM BACK INSIDE THE RING! HE HEADS TO THAT TOP TURNBUCKLE ONCE MORE AS HE LOOKS AT COREY, WHO IS LOOKING TO GET HIMSELF BACK UP! NEJARI FROM THE TOP ROPE —
Jake Mercer: Nejari Young takes a leap of fate, but Corey Hale connects with a spinning back kick as he manages to connect the spinning back kick to the gut of the ‘Walking Main Event!’ This causes Nejari to drop down to a knee! Corey gets Nejari in a powerbomb position before connecting with a ‘blue thunder’ powerbomb as he keeps him there for the cover!
OOOOOOONNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!
TTTTTTWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
Stew-O: NEJARI YOUNG WITH A KICK OUT! BUT, COREY HALE SEEMS TO BE THINKING OF A DIFFERENT APPROACH! HE IS LOOKING TO APPLY THE ‘NIRVANA LOCK’ — HIS VARIATION OF THE KOI CLUTCH AS NEJARI MOVES HIMSELF OUT OF THE WAY! I DON’T THINK THAT HE’S MUCH ANTICIPATED ON SUBMISSION MOVES MUCH AND HE’S NOT LOOKING TO FIND THAT OUT! HE GOES RIGHT AFTER COREY, BUT COREY MANAGES TO CATCH HIM WITH A ‘ZENBREAKER’ — THE RUNNING SINGLE KNEE FACE BREAKER! NEJARI IS TAKEN DOWN AS COREY LOOKS TO FIND HIMSELF ON THE TOP TURNBUCKLE ONCE MORE! HE HAS NEJARI RIGHT BELOW HIM AS —
Flannery McCoy: ‘QUANTUM LEAP’ — 540° CORKSCREW SENTON LANDS RIGHT ON NEJARI YOUNG! COREY HALE WITH THE COVER! IS THIS GOING TO BE IT?!?!
OOOOOONNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!
TTTTTWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
TTTTTTTTHHHHHHRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!
(DING! DING! DING!)
(‘The Seven Sisters’ plays once more as Corey Hale rises up from the mat. The referee raises his hand in victory. Corey seems to be more than elated of the result as the crowd has embraced both of these men. The fans were going to be happy regardless of the result.)
Stephie Love: THE WINNER OF THIS MATCH…COREY HALE!!!!!!!
Jake Mercer: Corey Hale picks up his second victory on Dynasty! This time, against the rising star in Nejari Young! I am pleasantly surprised that Corey Hale pulled this one off! I mean, we all saw the clout that Nejari Young had been getting these past few weeks and the Dynasty before House of Glass, he had a match with Drake Armstrong, someone who could be a future World Champion around here.
Stew-O: Both of these Elitists are on the newer side. They will make mistakes. They will take this match as an experience on what to do and what not to do. All of the potential in the world to become something great here. Corey Hale was the better wrestler tonight. I am excited to see how these two grow in their respective journeys on Dynasty.
(Corey smiles and gives a nod before Dynasty fades to commercials.)
(A commercial plays for Kim Lee’s Vietnamese Restaurant.)
(Friday Night Dynasty returns to show a shot of the backstage area of the GrandWest Grand Arena. The Cape Town crowd in attendance tonight is excited for what’s to come, but is slightly dampened as the camera pans up to reveal the General Managers of Friday Night Dynasty, Kensingten Calhoun-Astor and Richard Grant. Both of them have smiles on their faces as they stand in front of a desk in their office, clearly excited in regards to whatever they are going to say right now. It doesn’t take very long before they begin to speak.)
Kensingten Calhoun-Astor: Well, Richard, I feel like it would be *unbecoming* of us not to talk about how much of a success House of Glass was.
Richard Grant: I will say, what a wonderful show that we’ve curated on behalf of the Friday Night Dynasty brand. I understand that there are a lot of people out here who don’t agree with our method of running things around here, they would be wrong by the way, but one thing they will have to do though is respect it. Respect how much we’ve done for this place and how much eyes have been garnered as a result. House of Glass is living proof of that considering how absolutely great it was. Live from a sold-out Cairo Stadium Indoor Complex, the Dynasty roster tore the house down and gave us a show!
Kensingten Calhoun-Astor: Congratulations are, of course, in order for the winners of the night. Especially… the New World Heavyweight Champion.
(Kensingten shakes her head, trying to hide the displeasure that she bears when she says that. For obvious reasons, they both are not very happy with who they have representing their brand right now, and have voiced their displeasure as early as the kick off to the show when Joso was met by Myles inside of the ring. But regardless, they have to keep a professional mannerism right now as they continue on with what they have to say, Richard quickly chiming in to alleviate the situation before it gets out of hand.)
Richard Grant: Yes, indeed, Kensingten, congratulations are in order for Joso! Beating an Elitist like Myles is absolutely not something that we want to look over, considering how dominant of a Champion he was for this brand since winning the title. We are certain that Joso, as World Heavyweight Champion, can lead this brand to great heights!
Kensingten Calhoun-Astor: We’d certainly love to see him try! 🙂
Richard Grant: But of course, that’s not all that we have to talk about pertaining to the World Heavyweight Championship, right, Kensingten? We also have to discuss the first step of Joso’s journey and that is going to be at the Road To Redemption Marquee Event.
Kensingten Calhoun-Astor: Why indeed! My my, does time certainly fly by? The Road To Redemption Marquee Event is quickly approaching and with that, the annual Extreme Elimination Chamber matches! Personally it’s one of my favorite match types in all of EAW, with the EAW World Championship, EAW Answers World Championship, and of course the EAW World Heavyweight Championship all set to be on the line inside the Chamber! Going back to Myles, we certainly can’t forget how he won the title last year. He himself stepped into the Extreme Elimination Chamber and would end up lasting all the way to the end to pin Jake Smith and win the World Heavyweight Championship. If we can both agree on one thing, Richard, it’s the fact that this is an excellent segway for the future of this brand to become even greater!
Richard Grant: Oh absolutely, Kensingten. We could very well see Joso rise to the occasion and retain his title in the structure, but at the same time, you never know if we could have a new Champion. Given the caliber of talent that we have on this roster, I don’t really consider that much of a longshot. Enough of that though, because we have to talk about what you’re truly here for and that is the qualifying matches that are going to be taking place very soon!
Kensingten Calhoun-Astor: While, yes, that’s fun and all, Richard, actually the both of us had an idea. Let’s say… to spice things up?
Richard Grant: Indeed we do, and it’s an exciting announcement, isn’t it? You see, not just any Elitist will have the opportunity to compete for a spot in the Extreme Elimination Chamber, but we’re here to announce right now that EVERY Champion on Friday Night Dynasty is going to have a qualifying match!
(The crowd inside of the arena cheers loudly, wondering about the implications for such an announcement! Kensingten and Richard obviously look very happy as they continue.)
Kensingten Calhoun-Astor: That goes for the Interwire Champion, the New Breed Champion, and the Specialists Champion, you know who you all are! But that’s not the only announcement that we have, right?
Richard Grant: Why indeed! With that being four potential spots including our World Heavyweight Champion we have one more to add to the mix. We have reached an agreement to have a special slot for a mystery competitor entering the Chamber! While it’s exciting to know exactly who that is, we’re afraid that we’re going to have to save the announcement of that for another date for the time being.
Kensingten Calhoun-Astor: Road To Redemption is an absolutely exciting time for not just the Friday Night Dynasty roster, but the Elite Answers Wrestling company as a whole! This is one of the main Marquee Events to look out for this Season, and could very well shift the entire company as we head into the new year and the road to Pain For Pride! All of this makes these announcements all the more exciting considering what could come from them, they could certainly surprise you. I could say that much.
Richard Grant: That is all we have though. The field will begin to show itself in the coming weeks, but we have enough time until Road To Redemption for you to get excited for what is to come! We hope you enjoy the rest of this show!
(The camera pans away from Kensingten and Richard as it is the last shot seen before Friday Night Dynasty then begins to fade to elsewhere.)
Stephie Love: LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, THE FOLLOWING MATCH IS SCHEDULED FOR ONE FALL!
Crowd: ONE FALL!
(‘Give It Away’ by Red Hot Chili Peppers began blaring through the speakers to loud boos as Jay Starr strutted his way out onto the stage with a smug grin plastered across his face. The spotlight shone against his flashy sunglasses as Jay struck a pose with his custom-made long coat before he slowly made his way down the ramp towards the ring, paying a lot more attention to the cameras than the fans lining the front row.)
Stephie Love: INTRODUCING FIRST! Hailing from Las Vegas, Nevada, weighing in at 218 pounds… he is “SUPER-STARR” JAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY STAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARR!
Stew-O: Here comes Jay Starr, looking cocky as ever; we last saw him prior to House of Glass where he put up a great fight against fellow New Breed, Corey Hale, but ultimately came up just a bit short. Now he’s back to try to pick up some momentum on…
Jake Mercer: The road to Road to Redemption!
Stew-O: Yes, that. Jay Starr has shown us how narcissistic he is with all of the self praise, but after his past loss, he showed more of an edge to his voice when he spoke against his opponent this week; it’s clear that the losses are starting to anger him, and he’ll be looking to take that anger out on Mia Santoro.
Flannery McCoy: Even then, though, he’s totally underestimating her! She’s been in the business for over a year while he just debuted a few weeks ago, but he’s saying she doesn’t stand a chance just because she’s a woman! I’d like to see him go against someone like Kassidy Heart and see what he’d say to her face.
Jake Mercer: You don’t understand Flannery, it’s not about her being bad, it’s just that Jay knows he’s better! On that note, I’d love to see him take the Golde Pill and unite with Clayton!
Stew-O: A true menace to femininity around the world. I shudder at the thought.
(‘Notorious’ by UPSAHL began playing to a mixed reaction leaning on cheers as Mia Santoro walked out onto the stage with a smirk of her own. She struck a pose as she basked in the crowd reaction before she began making her way down the ramp, narrowing her eyes at her opponent as she did so.)
Stephie Love: AND HIS OPPONENT! Hailing from Key West, Florida, weighing in at 115 pounds… she is “LA DESPERADA”, MIIIIIIIIIIIIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! SAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANTOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Stew-O: Now we have Jay Starr’s opponent, La Desperada herself! Mia Santoro is coming off the heels of an unbelievably intense New Breed Championship match at House of Glass, where she along with three other competitors fought for the gold!
Flannery McCoy: Credit where credit is due, Mia Santoro managed to survive until the very end, being the last of BRAE’s three challengers to be eliminated in the match. She may not be walking into this match with the New Breed Championship wrapped around her waist, but the experience must have toughened her up more than she already was!
Jake Mercer: You’ve got to wonder, though, after going through hell like that just a week ago, will she be fully healed up and ready to face a fresh and hungry newer wrestler like Jay Starr this week?
Stew-O: We’ll have to find out!
(Ding! Ding! Ding!)
Stew-O: And the match is underway! Both wrestlers step out from their respective corners determined to get the first strike as this match starts off. They’re circling the center of the ring as they both seem to be getting a feel for the pace!
Jay Starr: Wait a minute, why am I even bothering giving you a chance?! You’re a girl! Go ahead, lie down and give me the pin for free, toots; you don’t stand a chance in hell at beating me!
Flannery McCoy: Ugh, you’ve got to be kidding me! This guy is infuriating! Mia Santoro seems to think so too as she immediately gets a furious scowl on her face and lunges for him–
Jake Mercer: But it looks like Jay Starr had it all planned out as he ducked underneath and immediately spun back around to catch her off guard with a forearm smash!
Stew-O: He baited her and it was successful as Jay Starr has stolen the first strike in the match by getting under Mia Santoro’s skin and throwing her off her game! He immediately looks to capitalize on the momentum as he follows up with forearm smash after forearm smash, knocking her further and further back!
Flannery McCoy: Soon enough, she’s forced into the corner with her back to the turnbuckles! Not a position that any elitist wants to find themselves in, especially with their opponent ready to take advantage of the situation!
Jake Mercer: Sure enough, Jay Starr does exactly that as he goes the classic route of lighting up his opponent’s chest with a flurry of knife-edge chops! All eyes are on the Super Starr, just as he likes it! Hard to not look when every one of those chops sound like gunshots going off!
Stew-O: Say what you will about his ego, but he’s certainly packing a lot of force behind his strikes!
Jake Mercer: With a physique like that, I’d be surprised if he wasn’t packing!
Flannery McCoy: :ayo:
Stew-O: After unleashing that flurry of knife-edge chops and turning Mia’s chest red, Jay Starr grabs Mia Santoro by the wrist and executes an Irish whip to send her running off to the opposite corner of the ring, thus creating quite the amount of distance between the two of them!
Flannery McCoy: Now Jay Starr looks to keep this momentum going as he sprints over towards where Mia Santoro is standing! He leaps off his feet, hurtling towards her as he looks to connect with a running high knee strike!
Jake Mercer: NO! At the last moment, Mia Santoro was able to step to the side, leading to the Super Starr’s running high knee to connect with the turnbuckle instead! Even with that turnbuckle padding, that’s got to hurt!
Stew-O: He’s got his knee clenched as he jumps up and down, trying to press the pain out of it; however, Mia Santoro looks to get some payback! She leaps up onto the middle rope and bounces off of it with a hand holding the top rope; with this height boost, she arcs her leg over and catches Jay Starr on the side of the head with a step-up enziguiri!
Flannery McCoy: That impact was enough to knock Jay into the corner where Mia was standing just moments ago!
Jake Mercer: Mia Santoro isn’t finished yet, though, as she climbs onto the middle rope and begins raining down on the head of Jay Starr with a barrage of closed fist punches to the roof of the head! The crowd is counting along with her strikes as she executes them, and after the tenth strike lands, she hops off the ropes.
Stew-O: To no surprise, that assault left Jay Starr seeing stars as he stumbles out of the corner while holding the top rope to help keep his balance!
Flannery McCoy: BUT HERE COMES MIA SANTORO! She had already ran towards the opposite side of the ring to bounce off the ropes and began sprinting towards Jay Starr on the rebound run!
Jake Mercer: Jay Starr sees her just a moment too late as he isn’t able to get out of harm’s way! Mia Santoro performs a running lariat to the Super Starr, causing him to fall over the top rope!
Stew-O: With that, Jay Starr is sent tumbling out to ringside with a cocky Mia Santoro in the ring hurling insults as he does!
Flannery McCoy: After taking a moment to gloat, Mia Santoro makes her way out onto the apron and takes aim down at Jay Starr as she begins measuring him up!
Jake Mercer: Jay Starr is none the wiser as he has his back turned to La Desperada as he starts making his way back up to his feet down at ringside! He hears the crowd cheering but he doesn’t know that Mia Santoro is perched up on the apron like an eagle waiting to fly down and catch its prey! He rightfully thinks that the crowd must be cheering for him!
Stew-O: That fantasy goes away quite quickly, though, as the moment he turns around, he’s met with the sight of Mia Santoro hurtling towards him from the air! La Desperada leapt off the apron and launched herself, ultimately crashing into Jay Starr with a diving meteora to bring the Super Starr back down to the ringside floor!
Flannery McCoy: At this point, Mia Santoro has thoroughly taken the reins of the match for herself, and she’s looking to ride that wave of momentum all the way to her first victory on the road to Road to Redemption!
Jake Mercer: See? You’re getting it! Unfortunately, Jay is getting it too as Mia’s diving meteora already placed her into a mounted position and she began laying into the Super Starr with some mounted punches! Jay takes a few of them with his guard up before flailing enough to push Mia off of him!
Stew-O: And that gives Jay the chance to start staggering up with his jaw clutched after all the damage he’s taken to the face in the match thus far!
Jake Mercer: It’s horrible, Stew! That is the face of a superstar! That’s the type of face you can build your entire company around, and Mia Santoro is trying to disfigure it with these attacks to the face! She should aim for his abs, because at least that way she won’t be able to do any damage!
Stew-O: :cmon: Anyways, Jay does manage to get back to his feet, but Mia Santoro got there first and was measuring him up! The moment Jay Starr turns around, Mia Santoro lunges her foot forward as she looks to kick the Super Starr’s head off with a vicious superkick!
Flannery McCoy: BUT IT’S NO GOOD! Jay Starr’s reflexes were sharp enough to catch Mia’s foot before it could make contact, and he looks PISSED! He uses his grip on Mia’s foot to spin her out, and as she spins in one direction, he spins in the other and uses both their momentums against her with a spinning wheel kick!
Jake Mercer: That spinning wheel kick connects right on target as it knocks Mia Santoro down to the ringside floor, with Jay having a far more controlled fall! He’s able to use that athleticism of his to quickly scramble back to his feet and begin a stomping barrage on Mia Santoro to prevent her from getting up too quickly!
Stew-O: But just as quickly as he began stomping her out, Jay Starr quickly stops and gives her some space with a devious smirk on his face as he measures her up! On cue, Mia Santoro begins staggering up as she tries to make her way back to a vertical base; however, the moment she’s back on her feet, Jay Starr lunges forward and catches her with a superkick of his own!
Flannery McCoy: Unfortunately for her, Jay Starr just did exactly what he prevented her from being able to do just moments ago! That’s got to sting the ego just as it must have left her face stinging!
Jake Mercer: I hope it does! Jay Starr needs to start getting some respect around her as a high-potential New Breed! That superkick knocked Mia Santoro against the apron; it looked like she was about to fall to the floor, but Jay Starr managed to catch her before she did and instead send her rolling back into the ring from under the bottom rope!
Stew-O: The Super Starr follows suit, making his own way back into the ring and watching as Mia Santoro is crawling on her hands and knees as she’s trying to get her bearings! His eyes widen as she gets to a kneeling position as he seems to have an idea of what to do in order to get this match to end with his arm raised in triumph!
Flannery McCoy: He rushes past her as he sprints towards the ropes at the opposite side of the ring! He clearly has an idea in mind as he rebounds off the ropes and begins running towards La Desperada with malicious intent–
Jake Mercer: SHINING STARR! SHINING STARR! JAY STARR’S SIGNATURE SHINING WIZARD CONNECTS AS HIS KNEE CRASHES RIGHT INTO THE FACE OF MIA SANTORO, AND HE SMELLS VICTORY AS HE IMMEDIATELY SCRAMBLES OVER AND GRABS A HOLD OF HER LEG!
Stew-O: THE LEG IS HOOKED, WILL THIS BE ENOUGH TO PUT LA DESPERADA DOWN?!
ONEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Flannery McCoy: BUT MIA SANTORO IS ABLE TO KICK OUT! That seems to have Jay Starr even more frustrated than he was when this match began! One can only think about what ideas are going through the mind of the Super Starr as he wonders how he’s going to put La Desperada down and get his first ever Elite Answers Victory!
Jake Mercer: He gets a determined expression on his face as he rises back to his feet and looks down at Mia Santoro, ready to put her down once and for all to secure this win! He takes a few steps back and crouches, measuring up La Desperada!
Stew-O: Sure enough, Mia Santoro does stagger up to a kneel; this time, though, Jay Starr doesn’t immediately spring into action and instead waits as Mia begins rising up beyond a kneel and making her way up to both feet!
Flannery McCoy: The moment she does, though, Jay Starr gives her a stiff kick to the midsection before running to the side and hitting the ropes! He has Mia Santoro doubled over and stunned as he runs towards her, and I think that’s right where he wants her!
Jake Mercer: HE’S GOING FOR IT– STARRSTRUUUUUUUUUUUUCK! THE AXE KICK!
Stew-O: WAIT, BUT IT DIDN’T CONNECT! MIA WAS ABLE TO STEP BACK AND GET THE BACK OF HER HEAD OUT OF THE WAY BEFORE THE SUPER STARR WAS ABLE TO LAND THE MANEUVER! IF THAT HIT, I THINK THAT WOULD’VE BEEN CURTAINS FOR HER, BUT SHE JUST BARELY MANAGED TO EVADE IT!
Flannery McCoy: That only seems to have gotten Jay Starr even angrier as he rushes forward and lunges towards her, looking to knock her out cold with a savage lariat!
Jake Mercer: But Mia is able to catch the arm being used for the lariat and maneuvers it to reverse the move into an arm drag! Jay Starr is able to get up immediately, but Mia Santoro immediately executes another arm drag to get Jay back on the canvas!
Stew-O: Jay Starr tries to get back up, but Mia Santoro rushes forward and leaps into the air before crashing down onto the back of Jay Starr with a double foot stomp to plant him down to the mat!
Flannery McCoy: With Jay face down on the canvas, Mia looks to capitalize as she wraps her arm around his neck and wrenches back, pulling him up and into a dragon sleeper chokehold! Jay Starr begins flailing around as hard as he can to get out of the lock, but Mia is doing everything she can to keep him in it!
Jake Mercer: He’s still flailing, though, and his fingers keep getting closer and closer to the ropes… almost… almost… THERE, HE GOT IT! THE REFEREE CALLS MIA OFF OF HIM, BUT MIA ISN’T LETTING GO!
Stew-O: The referee begins counting up! He gets to the count of four before Mia Santoro lets him go!
Jake Mercer: What a cheap trick!
Flannery McCoy: Literally almost everybody in the company does that!
Stew-O: Nevertheless, it seems to have left Jay struggling for air as he staggers back to his feet with his hand around his throat, coughing and sputtering! Mia’s gambit paid off, and she looks to capitalize off of it!
Flannery McCoy: She lunges forward with a side step and Jay instinctively guards his face as he’s expecting a superkick! But Mia Santoro goes low, aiming the superkick at his knee to knock him down to a kneeling position before immediately following up with a ROUNDHOUSE KICK! That’s Mia Santoro’s signature Two for the Road maneuver, and it’s a HEAVY HITTING one!
Jake Mercer: SHE’S GOING FOR THE PIN! GET UP, JAY! NOOOOOOOO!
ONEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-
Stew-O: BUT SOMEHOW, JAY STARR MANAGES TO KICK OUT OF IT! MIA IS FLABBERGASTED, BUT SHE DOESN’T ALLOW DESPAIR TO CONSUME HER FOR TOO LONG!
Flannery McCoy: SHE IMMEDIATELY BEGINS SCALING THE TURNBUCKLES TO GET TO THE TOP ROPE! SHE’S STAGGERING AS SHE DOES SO, NOT MOVING NEARLY AS FAST AS WHEN THIS MATCH STARTED, BUT THE MOVE HIT HARD ENOUGH TO KEEP JAY STARR LAYING AS SHE DOES SO!
Jake Mercer: SHE’S AT THE TOP ROPE AND AIMING DOWN AT JAY! GET OUT OF THERE, SUPER STARR!
Stew-O: SHE DIVES OFF THE TOP TURNBUCKLE, AND–
Flannery McCoy: CHASE THE FEELING! CHASE THE FEELING CONNECTS! HER DIVING LEG DROP CONNECTS AS SHE CRASHES DOWN ONTO THE FACE OF JAY STARR WITH CHASE THE FEELING AND IMMEDIATELY MOVES HER ARM ACROSS TO HOOK THE LEG!
ONEEEEEEEEEEE!
TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
(Ding! Ding! Ding!)
(‘Notorious’ by UPSAHL began playing yet again as Mia Santoro staggers up off of Jay Starr and has her arm raised in victory by the referee.)
Stephie Love: LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, THE WINNER OF THIS MATCH… LA DESPERADA, MIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! SAAAAAAAAAANTOOOOOOOOOOOROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Stew-O: What a hard-fought match by both competitors here tonight! They both brought their A game, but ultimately, Mia’s experience was too much for Jay Starr to bear as she moves away from the loss at House of Glass with a win!
Flannery McCoy: As much as I hate to say it, Jay Starr did put up a good fight against Mia, who has been here for nearly a year and a half compared to the Super Starr himself who is just on his third match.
Jake Mercer: If Jay Starr continues improving, there’s no doubt in my mind that he’ll be able to beat Mia and anyone else that gets in his way as he rises to the top!
Stew-O: That’ll have to be seen, but for this match and tonight, Mia Santoro reigns supreme!
(The video feed lingered on Mia Santoro’s victory celebration as Jay Starr looked on in disappointment and anger, before fading elsewhere.)
(The video feed for Friday Night Dynasty switches to an undisclosed location, with only one visible figure: Minerva. Her fiery-red hair contrasts the darkened expression on her face as she stares off into the distance, with not even a hint of movement from her. No blinking, no twitching, just staring; her gaze, though, borders on demonic with how much malice is brewing beneath the surface. Perhaps against his better judgment, an interviewer from EAW approaches her.)
Interviewer: Minerva, we are now one week departed from House of Glass. After the way your match with Drake King ended… do you have anything to say to him or the EAW Universe?
Minerva: …
Interviewer: M-Minerva?
(She silently turns towards the interviewer; she didn’t have to say a thing, as the palpable rage radiating from her eyes was enough to speak a thousand words.)
Interviewer: I… I-I’m sorry! Please don’t hurt me!
(The interviewer backs away and runs off from Minerva, leaving her to brood as she continues staring off into the distance, with nobody fully sure of what she is thinking. The video feed returns to Friday Night Dynasty’s commentary desk.)
Flannery McCoy: :lupe:
Stew-O: Minerva is clearly angry over the events that took place at House of Glass. Honestly, I can’t blame her, given how Drake King went about getting the win against her. With that being said, the look in her eyes is frightening, especially with how we’ve seen her tap into that dark side within her against Raven Roberts not too long ago in the season.
Jake Mercer: Yeah, the next person to look at her funny is probably going to end up at the bottom of a river. Let me know when her next match is so I can hire security!
Flannery McCoy: That’s a little ridiculous, but… I can’t deny that Minerva is likely on the brink of unleashing something monstrous, and I feel sorry for the poor elitist that ends up in her sights! Something seems to have snapped in her after House of Glass, and it’s only a matter of time before someone pays for it.
(The fans seem concerned in their own right, but they have to push their worries to the back as Stephie Love is ready to call the next match.)
Stephie Love: Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is scheduled for ONE FALL!
Crowd: ONE FALL!!!
(Unreal by Chaoseum hits the PA speakers and Issac Crow emerges from the back with a brooding expression on his face. His eyes are set entirely on the ring, as he walks down the ramp and slides in.)
Stephie Love: Introducing first, from Parts Unknown, weighing at 225 pounds… He is “THE FALLEN ANGEL” ISSSACCC! CCRRROOOWWWWW!
Stew-O: It was a valiant effort from Issac Crow last week at House Of Glass, but it simply wasn’t enough to make his mark and become the New Breed Champion. Tonight is a chance to start over and pick up where he left off.
Jake Mercer: You can tell that Issac Crow has the drive to become something here on Dynasty. But it’s going to take a lot of effort and it’s up to him to translate that into his week-to-week performance. Tonight we’re going to see how Issac Crow adjusts from adversity on a big stage.
(That’s followed up by the grating sound of ‘Betty (Get Money)!’ by Yung Gravy, and Clayton Golde charges out with his paid valet and gold smoke filling the stage. Golde berates the booing fans, and makes his way down to the ring.)
Stephie Love: His opponent, from An Undisclosed Location in Romania, weighing in at 210 pounds… He is “THE GOSPEL” CLAYTTTOOONNN! GOOOLLLDDDEEEEEE!!
Flannery McCoy: On the other hand, Clayton Golde was the *first* man eliminated in that elimination Glass Tables match! That’s a lot for him to overcome going into this match, and he’s definitely going to want to course correct tonight.
Jake Mercer: There’s no telling if he’ll be able to do that though, especially with Issac Crow looking to make a name for himself. Clayton has looked good on Dynasty in recent weeks, fresh off a victory against Mia Santoro right before House Of Glass. We’ll see if that can continue tonight.
(DING DING DING!)
Stew-O: Neither of these men is in the best shape after House Of Glass, but they are surely driven by the will to win and hatred for one another! Issac Crow approaches Clayton Golde and they engage in a tight collar and elbow tie-up. Neither man is able to get an advantage over the other until Issac swings behind and grabs the waist–
Jake Mercer: But Clayton throws a NASTY back elbow that stuns Issac! He wobbles, holding his eye. Clayton kicks him in the ribs and starts throwing clubbing blows to the back! Clayton takes the wrist for an irish whip and sends him off, but Clayton holds onto the wrist and leaps into a knee to the ribs! He takes Issac’s head and pulls him to the center. He hoists him up high for a big vertical suplex!
Stew-O: Clayton rises to his feet and steps over Issac, flexing. He’s got a big smirk on his face. Crow rolls over, trying to get up. Clayton yanks a handful of hair and meets him with a right hand to the forehead! He throws another punch- but this time Issac blocks it! He knees him in the ribs and takes the head, throwing him to the turnbuckles. Issac charges in, winding up a big corner clothesline!
Flannery McCoy: That one got Golde for sure. He wobbles out and Issac bounces off the ropes, snagging ahold of his head and driving him into the canvas with a bulldog! Issac rises to his feet and Clayton is already reeling from that. Issac hits the ropes for a clothesline over the top, but Clayton grabs the ropes, dropping down with a low bridge! Issac lands on the apron, just barely!
Jake Mercer: Golde rises and tries to knock him off! Issac ducks it, and gets him with a shoulder thrust to the ribs! Clayton wobbles away, and Issac makes his way up to the top rope. But Golde hits the ropes out! Issac falls, crouched up top. Golde begins to climb the middle rope… but Issac shoves him down! Golde lands on his feet, and Issac begins to rise!
Stew-O: He soars through the skies with a missile dropkick! Clayton Golde is down! Issac rises up and hits off the ropes. He leaps into a leg drop, crashing his leg right onto Golde’s throat! Issac rolls over and approaches Golde, hooking the legs for the first cover of this match.
OOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
TTTTTTTTTTTTTWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW–
Flannery McCoy: Nope! Kick out from Clayton Golde! Issac kneels up, shaking his head. He drags Golde up and turns him, taking the waist. He tries for a german suplex, but Golde holds the ropes for dear life. The referee gets between the two, trying to break it up. Issac slowly releases Golde…
Jake Mercer: AND HE TURNS, RAKING THE EYES! Issac falls back, yelling in agony! Clayton takes the legs and lifts him up! STUN GUN! Issac’s throat snaps off the top rope! Golde bounces off the ropes for added momentum, and he drops Issac with a superkick!
Stew-O: Golde looks super proud of himself after that. He beckons boos from the crowd, and when they respond how he wants, he just has a cocky grin on his face. Golde turns back to Issac and pulls him up. He leans his head down and double underhooks the arms, taking his time. He hoists him up for a beautiful butterfly suplex! He even follows it up with a bridging cover!
OOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
TTTTTTTTTTTTWWWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
Flannery McCoy: But Issac Crow finds a way to shoot his shoulder up! Despite the arms being under hooked, it’s still not enough to win. Golde sits up, frowning. He rises to his feet and pulls Issac up. He drags him to the turnbuckles and slams his head into the top turnbuckle.
Jake Mercer: Golde tries to lift him up top– but Crow knees him in the jaw! Golde staggers backward, and Crow drops him with a roundhouse kick to the side of the head! Golde falls to a seated position, stunned. Crow bounces out of the corner with a SLIDING LARIAT! He’s not done there, though! He rolls Golde over onto his fours!
Stew-O: Crow rises to his feet and he hits off the ropes! Golde tries to rise- but ISSAC CROW LEAPS INTO A BIG TIME CURB STOMP! CLAYTON’S HEAD GETS SLAMMED INTO THE CANVAS! CROW ROLLS HIM OVER AND ONCE AGAIN GOES FOR THE COVER!
OOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
TTTTTTTTTTTTWWWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
Flannery McCoy: But Golde kicks out! Crow is furious! He approaches him, but Golde rolls away to the ropes! Crow crawls over to him, and now Golde falls to the outside. Crow rolls out to approach Golde, but he grabs the waist and tackles him into the steel steps! Both fall to the ground!
Jake Mercer: Clayton is still clutching at the top of his head, gasping in pain. Crow is down as well, and Golde pulls himself up. He drags Crow up to his feet, and HE SLAMS HIS HEAD INTO THE ANNOUNCE TABLE COVER! Golde slides in, seeing an opening! He bounces off the ropes!
Stew-O: Determined expression on the face of Clayton Golde as he looks to launch out the ring with a SUICIDE DIVE! HE GOES THROUGH THE ROPES, BUT ISSAC CROW CATCHES HIM! HE CHOKES HIM! AND A CHOKESLAM RIGHT ONTO THE OUTSIDE FLOOR! GOLDE IS FLATTENED! CROW DRAGS HIM UP RIGHT AFTER!
Jake Mercer: He throws Clayton into the ring! He’s laid out! Issac climbs onto the apron and slowly ascends to the top rope… DEATH’S TOUCH! DIVING FIST DROP TO THE SKULL! HE HOOKS THE LEGS FOR THE COVER! ISSAC CROW WANTS THE WIN!
OOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
TTTTTTTTTTTTWWWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
TTTTTTTHHHHHHHHHHHHHHRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEE–
Flannery McCoy: CLAYTON GOLDE GRABS THE BOTTOM ROPE! Extremely close call! No matter how you feel about this guy, you’ve gotta give him some credit! Clayton rolls away and Issac approaches him. He drags Clayton up by the hair and turns him around, taking the neck. He starts to apply a choke hold, giving Clayton very little room to breathe… and then he drops into a russian legsweep!
Jake Mercer: Issac sits up, pissed. He’s questioning what it’ll take to win this one. Clayton rolls away, couhging out in pain. Issac approaches him and drags him up. He jams his head into his thighs and takes the waist, elevating him upwards.
Flannery McCoy: Powerbomb on the mind of Issac Crow, but Clayton Golde starts throwing repeated punches to the skull! Over and over, and Clayton releases Crow! He wings for Issac, but he ducks under and takes the wrist, shoving him into the turnbuckles. Issac rushes in, diving into a knee to the side of the head! Clayton wobbles out and Issac turns him around, grabbing the waist.
Stew-O: This time, he tosses him with the german suplex! Clayton rolls away, against the turnbuckles. He slowly sits up and Issac rises to his feet. He bounces out, charging into a knee to the side of the head! He pulls Golde out of the corner and hooks the head, taking the shorts and lifting him upwards! Is he looking for a brainbuster– NO!
Jake Mercer: Clayton starts throwing knees to the top of the head! Crow is struggling to hold him upwards, but Clayton brings it right back down into an INSIDE CRADLE! CROW’S SHOULDERS ARE JAMMED TO THE CANVAS, IT SEEMS LIKE!
OOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
TTTTTTTTTTTTWWWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
TTTTTTTHHHHHHHHHHHHHHRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEE–
Stew-O: A kick out from Crow! Both men scramble to their feet and throw a forearm smash at the exact same time! They wobble from the pain, and they throw another one! Neither man falls this time, so they bounce off the ropes! Clayton swings and Crow ducks under! Crow hits off the ropes, but Clayton follows suit! BOTH MEN WITH A CLOTHESLINE! AND THEY HIT THE CANVAS!
Jake Mercer: What a match this has been! High intensity from the very start, and I know that the pain from last week is killing them! They’re pushing through for a victory, at all costs! Crow rolls to the ropes and Clayton uses them to rise. Crow wipes his mouth, seeing Clayton struggling.
Flannery McCoy: Crow wants a clothesline over the top, but Golde raises the boot! Crow ducks his head down and Golde charges into a swinging neckbreaker! He rises to his feet, breathing heavily. Golde steps out of the ring and climbs to the top rope! He points down to Crow…
Stew-O: AND HE LEAPS OFF! 450 LEGDROP! RIGHT ONTO THE THROAT OF ISSAC CROW! CLAYTON GOLDE GOING HIGH RISK FOR A SHOT AT WINNING! He’s not done there, either! He drags him up… And he leaps to the middle rope!
Jake Mercer: CLAYTON GOLDE FLIES OFF THE MIDDLE ROPE WITH THE BRAND DEAL! SPRINGBOARD STUNNER PUTS ISSAC CROW DOWN! HE’S OUT OF IT! CLAYTON GOLDE ROLLS OVER AND CRAWLS, HOOKING THE LEGS! WILL THIS BE ENOUGH?!
OOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
TTTTTTTTTTTTWWWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
TTTTTTTHHHHHHHHHHHHHHRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEE–
Flannery McCoy: ANOTHER KICK OUT FROM ISSAC CROW! Clayton Golde slaps the mat, shaking his head. He pulls Issac Crow up, but Issac falls, deadweight. Clayton puts his hands on his hips, contemplating what to do next.
Stew-O: He’s exhausted some options here, but both of these men have a lot in their arsenal they haven’t hit yet! Clayton needs to be smart here. But he’s looking to go back to the well! Clayton exits the ring and ascends back up to the top rope. If it worked before, he wants it to work again! CLAYTON DIVES OFF WITH THE 450 LEGDROP!
Jake Mercer: ISSAC ROLLS OUT OF THE WAY! CLAYTON SEES IT MID-ROTATION AND CHANGES HIS LANDING! He rolls through, landing to his feet! Clayton wobbles, caught off guard! He turns back to Crow who cracks him with a superkick! Golde falls to a knee, struggling to stand up.
Stew-O: Issac hits off the ropes! AND HE TURNS GOLDE INSIDE OUT WITH THE COMATOSE! THE AXE HANDLE STRAIGHT TO THE JAW! HE PUT FULL FORCE, AND I BET THAT FELT LIKE A TON OF BRICKS SMACKING YOU IN THE FACE! Crow rolls over, looking for the cover! But Golde rolls to the outside!
Flannery McCoy: How much more can Issac Crow exhaust right now?! You can see that he’s tired, while Clayton Golde isn’t moving on the outside at all. Issac slowly rises, staggering to the ropes. He steps out of the ring and falls to a kneel against the ropes on the apron.
Jake Mercer: He breathes out, while Golde is still down on the outside. Issac slowly pulls Golde up.. He looks to throw him into the ring- but GOLDE RAKES THE EYES! Issac holds his eyes in pain! Golde takes his hair and throws him back first into the barricade! Golde nods and leaps into a boot to the jaw! He rolls to the apron, taking the ropes.
Flannery McCoy: Is he looking for a springboard– Crow sweeps the feet, and he lands onto his back and he hits the apron! Crow rolls Golde into the ring, and he slides in! Golde kneels up, and Crow takes his head and drags him up.
Stew-O: He turns him and grabs him in an argentine lift! He wants Death’s Door– but Golde grabs the top rope! Issac continues to try and yank him backward! But Golde is still holding onto that top rope! Crow pulls- but Golde releases the rope and the rope ricochets and BOUNCES INTO CROW’S EYE!
Jake Mercer: He wobbles away, and Crow is blinded! He staggers backwards and Clayton hooks the neck! C’EST LA VIE! HE SNAPS THE NECK OFF HIS SHOULDER! AND HE HOOKS THE LEGS!
OOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
TTTTTTTTTTTTTTWWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
TTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTHHHHHHHHHHHHRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
(DING DING DING!)
Stephie Love: Here is your winner of this match, CLAYTON GOLDE!
(Clayton Golde rises to his feet, and the referee takes his arm. He raises it up high and Clayton grins, satisfied with the win. Issac rolls over, still clutching at his eye.)
Stew-O: It looked like Issac Crow was going to end the match right there, but Clayton Golde got crafty! Not how I would’ve liked to see the win, but we know good and well that it does not matter to Clayton Golde how he wins!
Flannery McCoy: Nope! And you can’t blame the guy! As far as things he’s done, that certainly wasn’t as egregious. Clayton used the rope to his advantage, and we can chalk that up to a rookie mistake for Issac Crow.
Jake Mercer: He got overzealous and Clayton Golde will take advantage by any means, and Issac paid for it tonight. Tonight, Clayton Golde picks up another win, but take nothing away from Issac Crow tonight!
(Clayton is more than proud of his win, and he smirks before Dynasty fades elsewhere.)
(The camera cuts to the backstage area, where Myles can be seen walking. However, he stops midway through as a figure walks up to him.)
???: Excuse me, Myles, but can I have a moment of your time?
(The camera pans over, and it is the familiar sight of Michael Belfort. Myles gives him a nod.)
Myles: Sure. Here to ask some questions? Go on ahead.
Michael Belfort: Thank you. Now, Myles, last week at House of Glass, we saw you and Joso tear each other apart inside one of the most brutal matches in recent memory. But earlier tonight, you made a surprise appearance and met up with Joso in the ring. While you acknowledged his win and essentially handed the torch, I’ve got to ask… what’s your intention here? Are you planning to go after the EAW World Heavyweight Championship again anytime soon?
(Myles shakes his head.)
Myles: No, Michael. I want to make one thing crystal clear right now—I have no ulterior motives. I meant it when I said I had have no intentions of getting that title back in this current moment in my career. As much as I love the thrill of the hunt, I have zero intentions of chasing the World Heavyweight Championship. What’s done is done. I’ve had my time in the sun, and it was one hell of a ride. I’m not saying I’ll never hold that title again, but right now… for the first time in a long time, I’m breathing fresh air.
(He takes a deep breath, as if to emphasize his words, and then continues.)
Myles: It’s a strange feeling, honestly. But it’s also freeing. I focused on my domain, and now, it is time for me to focus on myself. Concentrate on how I plan on moving on from here on out. I just want to be very best version of myself, and that means elevating Dynasty, pushing the next generation, and showing why I’m still the measuring stick in this company even without a championship to my name currently. Titles never made me. I made them. And while I genuinely have my support for Joso and feel he can continue to elevate himself in his own right, I’m still intent on keeping my spot as the best Elitist not only here on Dynasty, but in EAW, bar none, no exceptions. So, with that out there, I want there to be no mistakes being made when it comes to me and my name. I am—
(Suddenly, clapping can be heard off-camera. The camera pans to reveal Cy Henderson stepping into the frame, a sly grin on his face as he applauds sarcastically.)
Cy Henderson: Well, well, well… bravo, Myles. Truly inspiring. “I’m not chasing the title,” “I’m just here to be the best version of myself,” yada yada yada. Riveting tale, chap.
(Myles turns towards him, already narrowing his eyes slightly.)
Myles: Is there a problem, Cy?
Cy Henderson: A problem? No, not at all. I just find it all funny and I’m amused that you have adopted this kind of mentality after having a huge loss. I mean, you were literally on the cusp of history. All you had to do was beat Joso who you swore up and down wasn’t ready, but not only did he prove you wrong, but he snatched that championship away from you, made you pass out on a stretcher, and humbled you. In fact, when putting everything down like that, it’s extremely disappointing.
(Myles rolls his eyes, not at all impressed with the passive aggressiveness being thrown his way.)
Myles: Haur, haur. Nice. Thanks for your opinion.
Cy Henderson: Hey, all I’m saying is that you should be hot on his tail instead of glorifying and pampering him. You went out to that ring and gave him a standing ovation when you should have been trying to rip that title out of his hands. It’s pathetic, really, and embarrassing for someone who is supposed to be an all-time great.
(Myles’s expression darkens.)
Myles: You really think that’s what I should be doing, huh? Chasing after the title like a desperate man? See, that’s where you’re wrong, Cy. What I saw out there was the future of this business. Joso earned that win, and I respect that. He’s going to lead Dynasty to new heights, something you couldn’t even do in your current state.
(Cy’s grin fades, his eyes narrowing as Myles’s words strike a nerve.)
Cy Henderson: You want to watch your mouth, Myles. You’re walking on thin ice right now.
(Myles laughs, not backing down.)
Myles: Oh, is that right? You want to teach me a lesson, Cy? I’d love to see what would happen if you tried. Actually, you did try before, and you failed. Won’t be much of a difference the next time around.
Cy Henderson: Yeah, I may have lost to you, but that didn’t stop me from gathering myself and winning my match at House of Glass. In fact, I’d say I’m in a better position of getting a title match than you.
Myles: Good for you then, ‘chap’. Have a crack at it. However, if you step to me, you’re not going to be successful. I can guarantee you that much.
Cy Henderson: Your guarantees don’t mean anything here anymore.
Myles: So you say, but we’ll see for ourselves, won’t we?
(Cy clenches his jaw, the tension between the two men reaching a boiling point. But instead of escalating further, Myles simply smirks and turns to leave.)
Myles: If you think I’m backing down, you clearly don’t know me. But if you want to make this personal… you know where to find me. After all, a part of me is curious on how everything would happen now that I have nothing to lose.
(Myles walks away. Cy watches on, eyes staring daggers into him from behind. But nothing else happens, and with that, Dynasty fades to commercials.)
(A commercial plays for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. Rated M for Mid.)
(Friday Night Dynasty returns to show a panaround of the arena as Stephie Love is seen standing by with a smile on her face and a microphone in hand.)
Stephie Love: The following singles match is scheduled for…
Crowd: ONE FALL!!!
(‘Invincible’ by Pop Smoke begins to blast through the speakers of the arena as the camera goes over to show a determined Chris Elite as he makes his way out from the backstage area and toward the stage. He has a serious expression on his face as he poses before then beginning to make his way down the ramp and toward the ring.)
Stephie Love: Introducing first… from Brooklyn, New York… weighing in at 210 pounds… ‘GAWD GIVEN GREATNESS’… CHRIS ELITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Stew-O: Well last week we saw that Chris Elite ended up coming up short against Hans Grayson in a match for the Interwire Championship. We know that it must have been a crushing defeat for him, but right now he needs to set his sights on greener pastures, and that might very well come at the Road To Redemption Marquee Event.
Flannery McCoy: But first he needs to get past his first obstacle which comes tonight. It’s not going to be easy, but given the skill set of someone like Chris Elite, who is a seasoned Hall of Famer, I think he’s got this.
Jake Mercer: Chris Elite is washed! Why is even a Hall of Famer?! He hasn’t won a title since I was in my diapers! #FraudWatch
(‘Lacrimosa [EPIC REMIX]’ by Samuel Kim is then heard following that as the crowd begins to cheer for Vincent Mondrian as he is seen making his way out. He has an unhappy expression on his face after what has transpired, shaking his head as he then begins to make his way down the ramp and toward the ring.)
Stephie Love: And his opponent… from Laren, Netherlands… weighing in at 205 pounds… ‘VASTO LORDE’… VINCENT MONDRIAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Stew-O: Well on the other hand, we have Vincent Mondrian, who also found himself being handed a loss at House of Glass. He faced Holly Arrow in a Lighttube Deathmatch and while he certainly gave her hell, it just wasn’t enough.
Flannery McCoy: He hasn’t had the best luck at Marquee Events, but there’s always going to be an opportunity to rebound and I think that is what he’s planning to do, especially against an opponent like Chris Elite who’s accomplishments speak for itself.
Jake Mercer: What does Vincent Mondrian even do! He’s been here for a long time and hasn’t done jackshit! This guy stinks! #FraudWatch
(DING! DING! DING!)
Stew-O: And here we go, as this match is officially underway! Vincent Mondrian, a man who unfortunately came up short last week against Holly Arrow, looks to make things right against Chris Elite, who I’m sure is just as vindictive considering how he fared against Interwire Champion Hans Grayson as well! Both of them are making their way out of their corners as they look ready to go, not wasting time as they lock up at the center of the ring!
Flannery McCoy: Both of them are absolutely vicious right now, jockeying back and forth, trying to gain the upperhand over the other to start this one off. But it seems like the strength of Vincent at the moment is paying him dividends as he slowly begins to push him toward the edge of the ring. Chris is backed up against the ropes as the referee is quick to come in and force a rope break between the two, and Vincent is easy to oblige as he takes a couple of steps back.
Jake Mercer: Chris is surely noting the intense nature of Vincent right now, seeing how much he wants this match, and that’s something that he’s going to have to overcome in due time as well. They re approach each other, and they’re quick to lock up a second time! Chris is quick to slip around and cinch in a side headlock, trying to bring both of them down to a kneeling position to gain some more ground. But Vincent uses the sole of his foot to push himself back up, as he sends both of them backward toward the ropes once again. He then sends Chris toward the opposite side of the ring as he rebounds… AND VINCENT MEETS HIM WITH A PICTURE PERFECT DROPKICK TO HIS CHEST TO TAKE HIM DOWN TO THE GROUND!
Stew-O: Chris lands flat on his back but quickly rises up to a seated position, impressed by what went down there but clearly not enough to take that lying down. He quickly gets back up to his feet, as he’s back to circling around the ring, eyeing Vincent and seeing what he can work with right now in the early goings of this match. He makes his way back over… but before he can do anything, he’s met with a swift kick to the abdomen by Vincent Mondrian! This halts Chris for the moment and this gives Vincent the opportunity to grab him by the head and start to absolutely unload on him with rapid-fire forearm shots to the face!
Flannery McCoy: Chris is taken aback by this assault as he begins to stagger backward toward one of the corners, and Vincent now has him backed up and is wasting no time beginning to transition to quick fire shots straight to the head and body area! He’s looking to tear apart Chris Elite every chance that he gets right now, and this is the perfect opportunity for him to get his shots in! He then grabs Chris by the head… BEFORE NAILING HIM WITH AN EMPHATIC EUROPEAN UPPERCUT! Chris is rocked by this as he takes a moment to recover, clutching onto the ropes for dear life, and Vincent now is beginning to take a couple of steps back, seemingly getting a running start… BEFORE SPRINTING OVER AND LOOKING TO CONNECT WITH A SECOND EUROPEAN UPPERCUT!
Jake Mercer: NO! CHRIS MANAGES TO MOVE OUT OF THE WAY JUST IN TIME AS VINCENT COLLIDES WITH THE CORNER AT FULL FORCE! Vincent is hurt as he grabs a hold of his chest in pain, and this gives Chris the perfect opportunity as he turns himself around, BEFORE LIFTING HIS LEG INTO THE AIR AND CONNECTING WITH A HARD KICK TO THE FACE USING THE ROPES! Vincent is hurt by this as he slumps down to a seated position in the corner, and now Chris is beginning to stomp down on his chest repeatedly!
Stew-O: The Hall of Famer is definitely looking to return the favor right now as he beats down Vincent Mondrian, but I doubt that the Prince of Pain is going to let that happen any further though. Chris finally stops his attack as he takes a moment to take a step backward, looking to get a running start of his own going… AS HE RUSHES OVER AND LEAPS INTO THE AIR FOR ‘HAWK EM’!
Flannery McCoy: THE RUNNING DOUBLE KNEES CONNECT AS VINCENT’S HEAD BOUNCES OFF THE BOTTOM TURNBUCKLE! He’s hurt and Chris is quick to take his arm and drag his body toward the center of the ring. Then, he drops down and hooks the leg, going for the first pinfall attempt of the match!
OOONNNEEE!!!
Jake Mercer: BUT VINCENT KICKS OUT! Certainly a good attempt right there but it’s not going to be enough, definitely has done some damage to him though considering the pained expression on his face. Chris begins to rise back up to his feet and while he’s looking to keep this wave of offense going, Vincent is quick to roll himself away as he barely manages to go under the bottom rope and out of the ring. He lands with a thud on the ringside area but is quick to grab a hold of the barricade and slowly rise up to his feet.
Stew-O: Chris sees the opportunity that presents itself here, not really going to let Vincent get away that easily. Vincent pushes himself away from the barricade and looks to roll back into the ring to get this match going, but Chris is running toward the edge of the ring himself… AS HE LAUNCHES THROUGH THE ROPES AND GOES FOR A SUICIDE DIVE TO TAKE HIM OUT-
Flannery McCoy: BUT IT WAS ALL PART OF THE PLAN! HE LANDS RIGHT IN THE ARMS OF VINCENT MONDRIAN WHO HAS A HOLD OF HIM BY THE WAIST! Vincent then begins to direct himself… BEFORE LIFTING HIM INTO A BELLY-TO-BELLY SUPLEX ONTO THE RINGMAT-
Jake Mercer: NO! Just in time it’s Chris Elite who manages to break himself free, pushing Vincent’s arms away from him and forcing his grip. Vincent takes a step back but immediately tries to retaliate, BUT CHRIS INSTEAD CONNECTS WITH A JUMPING KNEE STRIKE WHICH STOPS HIM MOMENTARILY! Vincent dips down to a kneeling position, and it’s not long before Chris begins to follow up on that, grabbing a hold of him and bringing him into a front facelock, setting him up… AS HE LIFTS HIM UP AND DROPS HIM DOWN ONTO THE RINGMAT WITH AN ABSOLUTELY HUGE VERTICAL SUPLEX!
Stew-O: Vincent lands hard on the ground, as he’s grabbing his spine clearly in a lot of pain right now. Chris looks to continue his wave of offense even further as he snatches him by the head before rolling him into the ring, then proceeding to climb up to the apron and scale up the turnbuckles and to the top rope. He has his eyes set on Vincent who is downed and trying his best to come to his senses right now, but Chris already has him in his crosshairs as he sets him up… LEAPING OFF FOR A FROG SPLASH-
Flannery McCoy: BUT VINCENT MANAGES TO ROLL OUT OF THE WAY OF THAT! Chris lands hard on his front as he staggers up to his feet, stumbling forward and trying to get his hands on Vincent… BUT BEFORE HE CAN, VINCENT CONNECTS WITH A HARD FOREARM STRIKE TO THE FACE THAT LEAVES HIM STUNNED! This spins Chris around… AND IT GIVES VINCENT THE OPPORTUNITY TO WRAP HIS ARMS AROUND HIS WAIST AND SEND HIM FLYING DOWN TO THE GROUND WITH A RELEASE GERMAN SUPLEX!
Jake Mercer: Vincent takes Chris Elite down as he hits the canvas hard! He’s slowly beginning to recover as he gets up to all fours, but Vincent is up to his feet as he has his eyes set, looking to capitalize on the situation set up in front of him right now…
Stew-O: AS HE LAUNCHES INTO THE AIR AND CONNECTS WITH ‘MENOS GRANDE’! THE HEAD-TRAPPED STOMP CONNECTS, WITH CHRIS FACEPLANTING ON THE GROUND AND BEING COMPLETELY WIPED OUT! CHRIS IS OUT AND VINCENT MONDRIAN IS TAKING THIS OPPORTUNITY NOW TO ROLL HIM ONTO HIS BACK AND HOOK THE LEG FOR THE PIN ATTEMPT! WILL THIS BE IT FOR THIS MATCH RIGHT HERE?!
OOONNNEEE!!!
TTTTWWWWOOOO!!!!
TTTTTTHHHHHHRRRRRRR-
Flannery McCoy: BUT CHRIS MANAGES TO SHOOT THE SHOULDER UP! Vincent sits up and he’s slowly nodding his head, realizing what else he’s going to have to do in order to make sure that this match is in his hands.
Jake Mercer: He slowly begins to rise back up to his feet and makes his way back toward the corner. Chris is still significantly hurt but he’s managing to gain his bearings as well, scratching at the mat and slowly managing to pull himself up to his feet. Vincent is going to make sure though that he doesn’t get the chance to get up much further, as he makes his way forward and seeks to take advantage of the situation at hand!
Stew-O: GOING FOR A SECOND ATTEMPT AT ‘MENOS GRANDE’ TO CHRIS ELITE!
Flannery McCoy: BUT AS HE LEAPS UP, CHRIS MANAGES TO PULL HIMSELF AWAY! Chris rolls himself backward and up to his feet as Vincent makes a landing, and both of them are at a standstill for a moment before Vincent rushes forward… ONLY FOR CHRIS TO SPIN AROUND AND CONNECT WITH A HARD DISCUS LARIAT STRAIGHT TO THE FACE! Vincent lands on his back, and Chris looks to follow that one up as well… MAKING HIS WAY OVER AND LAUNCHING INTO THE AIR FOR A STANDING SHOOTING STAR PRESS!
Jake Mercer: Chris manages to get himself back up to his feet and back into this match, but he’s going to have to make sure that it stays that way and it’s easier said than done. Vincent is crawling over and grabbing a hold of the ropes, slowly heaving himself up to his feet and shaking off the cobwebs… BUT WHAT HE DOESN’T SEE IS CHRIS SPRINTING TOWARD HIM-
Stew-O: BUT BEFORE HE CAN DO ANYTHING, VINCENT CONNECTS WITH A BOOT TO THE FACE! Chris staggers backward and this gives Vincent the chance to take advantage of it, grabbing a hold of the ropes and setting himself up… AS HE LAUNCHES OFF OF THE TURNBUCKLES AND GOES FOR A SPRINGBOARD MOONSAULT TO CHRIS!
Flannery McCoy: BUT CHRIS MANAGES TO STEP BACK AND AVOID WHAT HE HAD PLANNED FOR HIM! Vincent lands on his feet after that and turns around…
Jake Mercer: AS CHRIS LEAPS INTO THE AIR AND CONNECTS WITH THE ‘OPP SPOTTER’! THE TORPEDO MOSCOW CONNECTS RIGHT ACROSS THE JAW OF VINCENT MONDRIAN AND SENDS HIM DOWN LIKE A SACK OF BRICKS! CHRIS IS QUICK TO ROLL HIM OVER AND GO FOR THE PIN ATTEMPT! TRYING TO END THIS MATCH RIGHT HERE!
OOONNNEEE!!!
TTTTWWWWOOOO!!!!
TTTTTTHHHHHHHRRRRRRRRRRRRRE-
Stew-O: BUT JUST IN TIME, VINCENT MANAGES TO GET THE KICKOUT! Chris Elite was close to being able to walk away from this match as a winner, but he’s going to have to do just a little bit more if he wants to truly be able to say that. Right now as he rises up to his feet, it looks like he has an idea of how he is going to do just that as he looks down at Vincent who hasn’t moved an inch.
Flannery McCoy: Chris leaves the ring and begins to scale up the top turnbuckles, and we know something that he can go for up there that can really put an exclamation point on this entire thing. Vincent Mondrian is trying his best to come to his senses right now, but that doesn’t seem to be something that is happening as he is at the mercy of Chris Elite…
Jake Mercer: AS CHRIS PUSHES HIMSELF OFF AND GOES FOR ‘AIMIN FOR THE MOON’! THE SWANTON 450 SPLASH-
Stew-O: NO! HE DOESN’T! HE WAS TRYING FOR IT, BUT VINCENT JUST IN TIME MANAGED TO SHOOT HIMSELF UP TO HIS FEET AND RUN FORWARD AS HE SCALED UP THE TURNBUCKLES AT RECORD SPEED! HE HAS A HOLD OF CHRIS BY THE WAIST AS HE LIFTS HIM OFF OF THE TOP ROPE INTO AN AVALANCHE BELLY-TO-BELLY SUPLEX! WHAT A MOVE BY VINCENT MONDRIAN TO GET HIMSELF BACK INTO THIS MATCH AND STOP HIMSELF FROM FALLING SHORT!
Flannery McCoy: Chris lands hard on the canvas as he grabs his spine in pain, and Vincent knows that this is the only opportunity that he is going to get to make this count. He grabs a hold of Chris by the head and then proceeds to set him up, looking for something here…
Jake Mercer: AS HE TRIES TO FLIP HIM AROUND INTO ‘VAN GOGH ASCENDANCY’!
Stew-O: BUT JUST IN TIME, CHRIS CONNECTS WITH A HARD ELBOW TO THE BACK OF HIS HEAD TO RELEASE THE INVERTED HEADLOCK HOLD THAT HE HAS ON HIM! Vincent stumbles forward and falls against the ropes, struggling to collect himself as he turns around… ONLY FOR CHRIS TO RUSH FORWARD AND CONNECT WITH A CLOTHESLINE THAT SENDS HIM OVER THE TOP ROPE!
Flannery McCoy: Vincent lands on the apron as he slowly pulls himself back up, Chris making his way over… ONLY FOR VINCENT TO CONNECT WITH A SHOULDER THRUST TO THE ABDOMEN TO CREATE DISTANCE! Vincent takes a moment to recover before it looks like he seems to be making his way up to the top rope himself. He’s trying his best to fight back in this match but when you have an opponent like Chris Elite it’s not going to be the easiest challenge to face. He positions himself as Chris turns around… AND CHRIS LEAPS OFF OF THE TOP ROPE AND GOES FOR A CROSSBODY!
Jake Mercer: BUT CHRIS MANAGES TO CATCH HIM IN THE AIR! Chris has a hold of him as he slowly begins to make his way toward the center of the ring, before popping him up into a Fireman’s Carry position! Chris is trying to set him up… but before he can do anything, it’s Vincent who wiggles out of the position that he finds himself in! He lands behind Chris as Chris turns himself around… JUST TO BE MET WITH A BICYCLE KICK RIGHT ACROSS HIS FACE BY VINCENT MONDRIAN!
Stew-O: Chris staggers back as he then steps forward… LEAPING UP AND GOING FOR AN ENZUIGIRI- BUT VINCENT MANAGES TO DUCK UNDER THAT AS WELL! He makes his way over and grabs a hold of him around the waist while Chris is down on his stomach… BEFORE LIFTING HIM INTO A DEADLIFT GERMAN SUPLEX!
Flannery McCoy: WAIT! CHRIS LANDS ON HIS FEET-
Jake Mercer: BEFORE LEAPING INTO THE AIR AND CONNECTING WITH A ‘BOX OFFICE SMASH’ STRAIGHT TO THE SIDE OF VINCENT’S HEAD TO TAKE HIM DOWN TO THE GROUND! VINCENT WAS TRYING TO RECOVER BUT CHRIS CATCHES HIM JUST IN TIME AND MANAGES TO OUTSMART HIM! CHRIS ROLLS HIM ONTO HIS BACK AND HOOKS THE LEG! GOING FOR THE PIN!
OOONNNEEE!!!
TTTTWWWWWOOOOO!!!!
TTTTTTHHHHHHHRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!
(DING! DING! DING!)
(‘Invincible’ begins to play up once again as Chris Elite makes his way up to his feet, a smirk on his face as the referee makes his way over and raises his arm in victory. He then makes his way up to the top rope, posing for the entire crowd to see before he starts his celebration.)
Stephie Love: Here is your winner… CHRIS ELITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Stew-O: Well it seems like when the smoke clears, it was Chris Elite who was the one who managed to come out on top. After a crushing House of Glass week, he made up for it by coming out on top this week as he starts his path to Road To Redemption.
Flannery McCoy: There’s a lot of avenues that he could take it, but for right now he can hang his head in victory that he stood tall here tonight. Congratulations to Chris on his victory!
(The last shot seen is Chris dropping under the ropes and out of the ring while a disappointed Vincent Mondrian looks on, Chris makes his way up the ramp, high fiving the fans in the front row, while Friday Night Dynasty begins to fade out.)
(After the match, the shot cuts to a pretty lavish home. In the home we cut to a room, on display the New Breed Championship was at it’s prettiest. The shine and focus directly on how important it was, but in the scene BRAE sat. He was sporting a turtle neck, but you could very much tell he was feeling injuries from that match at House Of Glass.)
BRAE: Take a good look at me.
(Cuts were all over him, and he was really busted open from the match. A match that saw so much viciousness be unleashed, and a match that in the end; BRAE emerged victorious. But not unscathed.)
BRAE: I have wounds open up on my body, that doctors even ordered I be careful about. Bacteria builds up quickly in a squared circle, so they advised me to take a week home. I didn’t like that at first; but then the thing that ringed inside my head was, the best ability is availability. And I can’t be avaliable if I am fighting against a skin eating disease, I have to be careful. But don’t let this send you into a frenzy, and don’t let it alarm you. This is a typical post match for me. Usually my body is always cut up with bruises and sores, but when you add literally glass into the mix. It was always going to be a little bit more blood. But hey; what did we think about House Of Glass? So much has changed over on Dynasty, the landscape is entirely different. A new era has bled into the upright. You want me to be honest here? I have been in absolute wars since coming to EAW. And as an Elitist, I have been on the good and the bad sides of history. But want to know something, if I’m being honest about it? Looking back at that fourway..
(Highlights played of the absolute carnage and destruction, before focusing back on BRAE.)
BRAE: It might have been the most intense competition I have had in EAW. And that is saying something. Especially as New Breed Champion. Maybe I was a little unfair and too quick to right everyone off. But they showed me why they were in that spot. Isaac, Mia and even that pathetic Andrew Tate ripoff Clayton Golde can leave this match, with an inch. They all gave it the best they had, and they have something to be grateful for. They did all that they could. They tried to be the problem, they wanted to so badly be the problem. They wanted to play spoiler, and they wanted to end my New Breed Championship maybe a little bit prematurely. But…….. I didn’t allow that.
(A clip of BRAE prevailing showed on the screen, before it just cued back on him with a smirk.)
BRAE: I got absolutely beat up in the battle, but I know the war isn’t over. I defeated 3 of the finest Elitists EAW had to offer. Now the question begs, what happens. I took out 3 of the finest New Breeds. I took out some of the stiffest competition, and I find myself really asking. What now? Where do I go from this point forward? Is there even anyone left for me to face at this point? It feels as if the gauntlet got pushed forward, and suddenly all of them came bubbling in at once towards me. I don’t want to go unchallenged as champion. There has to be a soul back there willing to pick up the fight again. Rather than be someone new, or someone I have already seen. I would be there for that. Vincent Mondrian, Chiyo Gedo. Hell, how about even Damien Kutcher? They all have challenged for the championship in the past year. So they have a reason to wanna spin back around and take their shot. Why not Mia Santoro, Isaac Crowe and Clayton Golde? Couldn’t they build off what happened at House Of Glass? I weigh all these options, but yeah. I have truly wiped out damn near everyone. This is an almost empty island, entirely populated by me.
(BRAE just looked so perplexed, as he was truly thinking about the New Breed spectrum.)
BRAE: You got talents like Saori Aizen, Effy Mcavoy and Selina Reyes as well. They have all had big time matches in EAW since coming here. But I can’t help but feel as if they were sent out to die. They haven’t learned the first thought about fighting in those deep trenches, they skipped in line. Only to show that they weren’t truly all that ready for the spotlight. But at the same time – to be able to grasp it so quickly; it is impressive. But I don’t know at this point. It is all questionable at its best, and these names all have to be able to bring new light to that New Breed division. But yeah, I have been doing and will continue doing just that. Taking the New Breed Championship to new heights it hasn’t seen before, won’t be that much more difficult. Those around me who challenge me, that even want a speck of gold to their name, will have to be the best version of themselves possible. Rather it be those that haven’t stood up to the plate yet, looking to make a name for themselves.. or those that are looking for a round 2. It just doesn’t matter, I’m gonna force every single one of you out of your comfort zones. And in turn, my title shall thrive. My title shall flourish. After what happened at Pain For Pride, defeating Michael Machina and all.. It would have been a disservice had I allowed the New Breed Championship to die an unceremonious death. I am going to keep prolonging this run, until the worthy challenge finally comes to kill me. But until that successor comes, as long as I can get everyone to act amongst themselves, and go beyond their skill set.. That’s only going to alleviate my growing weariness. The entirety of this New Breed Division will be transformed.
(The focus on BRAE was immense now, as he looked at the camera.)
BRAE: Stay tuned.
(The departing words from the New Breed Champion were said, as Dynasty went back to ringside.)
Stephie Love: The following singles match is scheduled for…
Crowd: ONE FALL!!!
(‘Vortex’ by Jinjer begins to play through the speakers of the arena as a confident Daniella Atlas is seen making her way out. She raises her Specialists Championship into the air as the crowd boos loudly for her before she makes her way to the ring.)
Stephie Love: Introducing first… from Dunkirk, France… weighing in at 170 pounds… ‘THE BLACK FLAME’… DANIELLA ATLAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(‘Pride & Arrogance’ by Takeru Kanazaki then is heard playing up as the crowd erupts into thunderous boos for Drake Armstrong as he then makes his way out from the backstage area. He taunts the crowd and shakes his head before making his way down the ramp.)
Stephie Love: And his opponent… from Scarsdale, New York… weighing in at 245 pounds… ‘THE FUTURE’… DRAKE ARMSTRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(DING! DING! DING!)
Stew-O: Here we go! The Specialists Champion is in action tonight after a landmark defense at House of Glass going up against an opponent that’ll certainly give her a run for her money. Drake Armstrong is as hungry as ever and I’m sure he’s looking to prove that by getting a win tonight. Both of them make their way out of their corners as they head toward the center of the ring, immediately looking to engage in a collar-and-elbow…
Flannery McCoy: BUT AS THEY ENGAGE IT’S DRAKE WHO CONNECTS WITH A BOOT TO THE ABDOMEN! The crowd boos loudly as Drake goes cheap to start this match, immediately snatching Daniella Atlas by the wrist and sending her to the ropes with an Irish whip… PROCEEDING TO CONNECT WITH A HARD BACK ELBOW TO THE FACE TO TAKE HER DOWN TO THE CANVAS! Daniella lands flat on her back as she quickly rises back up to her feet, a look of unhappiness on her face while she does.
Jake Mercer: But Drake isn’t looking to let up any further, as he snatches her by the head and wastes absolutely no time beginning to fire away with repeated strikes straight to the face! Daniella is finding it hard to fend it off considering how abruptly all of this came, but it just goes to show how much Drake wants to win this match tonight. He quickly grabs a hold of her by the wrist and looks to send her into an Irish whip- But that doesn’t happen as Daniella manages to turn it around and send Drake into an Irish whip instead, Drake runs the ropes… BEFORE BEING CAUGHT INTO A TILT-A-WHIRL SLAM BY THE CHAMPION!
Stew-O: Drake lands hard on the ground as he quickly rolls under the bottom rope and out of the ring. He collapses down to a kneeling position and is trying his best to recover before it’s too late. But Daniella is quick on the attack, rolling out of the ring herself as she grabs a hold of Drake and sets him up… BEFORE THROWING HIM INTO THE BARRICADE SHOULDER FIRST! Drake is completely wiped out and in pain while Daniella continues to take advantage of the situation that has presented itself right now. She grabs Drake and brings her back up… BEFORE REACHING OVER AND SLAMMING HIM FACE FIRST AGAINST THE APRON!
Flannery McCoy: Drake’s head bounces off as Daniella then proceeds to go under and lift him off the ground before rolling him into the ring. Daniella quickly follows behind, and you can see just how much the former Interwire Champion riled her up with the early attack. Drake is slowly beginning to make his way up to his feet, doing everything that he can to recover right now… ONLY TO BE MET WITH A SICKENING HEADBUTT THAT TAKES HIM BACK DOWN BY DANIELLA! Drake lands flat on his back and Daniella is quick to drop down and hook the leg, trying to go for the early pin!
OOONNNEEEE-
Jake Mercer: BUT DRAKE MANAGES TO KICK OUT! Not much damage done yet and it’s certainly going to take a lot more if Daniella wants to take down a competitor like Drake Armstrong tonight. Daniella slowly rises up to her feet, grabbing Drake along with her and heaving him up as well. She makes her way over to one of the corners… SLAMMING HIS FACE AGAINST THE TOP TURNBUCKLE! Drake’s head bounces off as he resides in the corner, WITH DANIELLA WASTING NO TIME BEGINNING TO UNLOAD ON HIM WITH RAPID FIRE BODY SHOTS TO THE ABDOMEN!
Stew-O: Drake is gasping for air, doing everything he can to pry her away from him, but it’s clearly not much help right now considering the state that he’s in. Daniella then grabs a hold of him by the wrist before sending him to the opposite corner, quickly beginning to set him up for something here… AS SHE RUNS FORWARD AND GOES FOR A RUNNING CORNER CLOTHESLINE- BUT BEFORE SHE CAN CONNECT WITH THAT, DRAKE MANAGES TO BRING HIS LEG UP AND CONNECT WITH A BOOT TO THE FACE!
Flannery McCoy: Daniella is hurt by this as she staggers back toward the center of the ring, Drake seeing the opportunity right in front of him and rushing forward… AS HE LEAPS INTO THE AIR AND DROPS HER DOWN TO THE GROUND WITH A HARD JUMPING KNEE STRIKE STRAIGHT TO THE FACE! Drake is in a world of hurt but he’s as furious as ever as he begins to stomp down onto her repeatedly!
Jake Mercer: Daniella is in pain right now as the tides have shifted in this match, and Drake is looking to keep it that way. He makes his way over to the front of Daniella, BEFORE DROPPING DOWN A HARD FIST DROP TO HER FACE TO CONTINUE HIS ASSAULT! Daniella grabs her face in pain as she begins to roll herself away, clutching a hold of the bottom rope and using them to slowly heave himself back up to his feet, but Drake doesn’t want to let that happen as he heads over himself. He grabs a hold of her from around the waist and begins to bring her over to the center of the ring… LIFTING HER UP INTO A BACK SUPLEX!
Stew-O: It connects as Daniella bounces hard off of the canvas! She grabs the back of her neck and now it’s Drake’s turn for an emphatic move now as he begins to circle around her like a shark. He’s yelling at Daniella to rise back up to her feet, and he begins to set up for something now as he reaches over and grabs a hold of her…
Flannery McCoy: AS HE LIFTS HER OFF OF THE GROUND INTO ‘NATURAL TALENT’! DRAKE GOING FOR THE BRIDGING HALF-NELSON HALF-CHICKENWING SUPLEX!
Jake Mercer: BUT DANIELLA MANAGES TO BREAK ONE OF HER ARMS FREE AND CONNECT WITH A HARD ELBOW TO THE FACE TO FORCE HIM BACK! Drake shakes his head in pain as he tries his best to recover… BUT BEFORE HE CAN DO THAT, DANIELLA POPS OFF OF THE GROUND AND CONNECTS WITH A HARD DROPKICK TO THE CHEST WHICH TAKES HER DOWN TO THE MAT!
Stew-O: Daniella is back in this match as she brings herself up to her feet, coming up on a very close call right there but still she continues to push on. She grabs a hold of Drake and brings him back up… BUT DRAKE IN A LAST DITCH EFFORT MANAGES TO CONNECT WITH A KNEE STRIKE STRAIGHT TO DANIELLA’S ABDOMEN! This doubles her over and gives Drake the opportunity to do something here as he grabs her and brings her into a front facelock… LIFTING HER UP INTO A SUPLEX POSITION-
Flannery McCoy: BUT THAT DOESN’T WORK AS DANIELLA MANAGES TO LAND BEHIND HIM! Drake is stunned for a moment but he’s quick to turn around… ONLY TO BE MET WITH A HARD ELBOW STRIKE BY THE SPECIALISTS CHAMPION! Drake is hurt but he tries to rush forward to make up for it- But Daniella side steps out of the way and grabs a hold of him by the head, sending him to the ropes and back…
Jake Mercer: NAILING HIM WITH A VICIOUS ‘INAMORATA’! THE RUNNING LARIAT CONNECTS AND DROPS DRAKE ARMSTRONG DOWN TO THE GROUND AND THIS GIVES DANIELLA ATLAS THE OPPORTUNITY TO DROP DOWN AND HOOK THE LEG! GOING FOR THE PIN ATTEMPT! IS THIS GOING TO BE IT RIGHT HERE?!
OOONNNEEE!!!
TTTTWWWWOOOO!!!!
TTTTTHHHHHRRRRRRRRR-
Stew-O: BUT JUST IN TIME IT’S DRAKE WHO MANAGES TO KICK OUT OF IT! Close call, but Drake Armstrong is still in this match and he’s still fighting to the displeasure of Daniella Atlas. The Specialists Champion begins to rise up to her feet, a poised expression on her face while she does, meanwhile Drake seems to be collecting himself, caught in a tough spot right now but especially keen on making sure that he can get out of it.
Flannery McCoy: Daniella heads over and grabs Drake by the head before bringing him up to his feet. She then proceeds to grab a hold of him by the wrist and send him into an Irish whip toward one of the corners. Drake is backed up, and this gives Daniella a moment to recuperate before getting a running start… AS SHE RUSHES FORWARD AND CONNECTS WITH A HARD SHOULDER THRUST TO HIS ABDOMEN!
Jake Mercer: Drake is in a world of hurt right now as he falls down to a seated position in the corner, trying to get back into this one but Daniella is definitely not going to let that happen. She begins to make her way back, once again getting a running start so she can continue sending some hard-hitting offense his way… RUSHING FORWARD AND CONNECTING WITH A RUNNING BOOT TO THE FACE!
Stew-O: BUT DRAKE MOVES OUT OF THE WAY JUST IN TIME, LEAVING DANIELLA TO COLLIDE WITH THE TURNBUCKLES! Daniella is hurt as she staggers backward and turns around… ONLY FOR DRAKE TO CONNECT WITH A HARD RIGHT TO THE FACE TO FORCE HER BACK INTO THE CORNER! Drake now seems to have something in mind as he makes his way over to Daniella, and it doesn’t look like it’s going to end up going well for her.
Flannery McCoy: Drake goes under and begins to heave her up, and it looks like he’s placing her onto the top rope! Daniella is trying to fight back, but Drake doesn’t waste any time beginning to connect with strikes to her face to leave her stunned for the moment! He then begins to make his way up there himself, and he has a hold of Daniella… LIFTING HER UP AND GOING FOR A HUGE SUPERPLEX-
Jake Mercer: BUT DANIELLA MANAGES TO KEEP HERSELF DOWN! SHE DROPS HER WEIGHT JUST IN TIME! Drake is trying his best to lift her up, but it doesn’t seem to be of any use as Daniella manages to slip herself free and begins to unload with rapid fire punches to the face! Drake is stunned and he’s doing whatever he can right now to fend off the attack, but right now it doesn’t seem to be of any use as Daneilla then grabs a hold of him by the head herself and begins to lift her up… SENDING HER OFF THE TOP ROPE WITH AN AVALANCHE GOURDBUSTER!
Stew-O: DRAKE LANDS HARD ON HIS CHEST ON THE CANVAS AS HE’S COMPLETELY WIPED OUT! This gives Daniella the chance to drop off of the top rope and back into the ring, and she’s quick to head over and grab a hold of him and bring him back up to his feet, and she looks to be delivering something right here…
Flannery McCoy: AS SHE LIFTS HIM UP INTO ‘SOUTH OF HEAVEN’! THE PUMPHANDLE DROP TO DRAKE ARMSTRONG TO POTENTIALLY WIN THIS MATCH!
Jake Mercer: BUT DRAKE MANAGES TO GET OUT OF IT JUST IN THE NICK OF TIME! DRAKE LANDS A PUNCH RIGHT ACROSS THE FACE WHICH TURNS DANIELLA AROUND AND HE USES THIS TO HIS ADVANTAGE…
Stew-O: AS HE LIFTS HER UP INTO ‘NATURAL TALENT’! IT MANAGES TO CONNECT THIS TIME AS DRAKE BRIDGES INTO A PIN ATTEMPT!
OOONNNEEE!!!
TTTTWWWWOOOO!!!!
TTTTTTHHHHHHHRRRRRRRR-
Flannery McCoy: BUT IT’S DANIELLA THAT MANAGES TO KICK OUT OF IT JUST IN TIME! Drake was extremely close but in the end that just wasn’t enough to certify the victory. Drake rises up to his feet with a look of displeasure present on his face, and it seems like he really wants to put an end to this before Daniella has any sort of chance to turn this around. He makes his way toward one of the corners, shouting for Daniella to get up to her feet so he can finish the Specialists Champion.
Jake Mercer: Daniella is beginning to rise up, and it seems like Drake has her right where he wants her as he makes his way over…
Stew-O: LEAPING UP FOR ‘HALBERD FROM HELL’!
Flannery McCoy: BUT THE FRONT DROPKICK DOESN’T CONNECT AS DANIELLA MANAGES TO MOVE OUT OF THE WAY JUST IN TIME! Drake lands flat onto his back but he quickly tries to rise back up to his feet… ONLY FOR DANIELLA TO STEP FORWARD AND CONNECT WITH A HARD BOOT TO THE FACE TO MAKE SURE THAT HE STAYS DOWN! She then grabs a hold of him and drags him back to his feet, pulling him in… BEFORE LIFTING HIM OFF THE GROUND AND DROPPING HIM DOWN HARD WITH THE EXPLODER SUPLEX!
Jake Mercer: Daniella rises back up to her feet and it seems like for the moment she wants to make sure this match is in her favor. Drake is staggering backward as he falls toward one of the corners… BUT DANIELLA IMMEDIATELY RUSHES FORWARD AND CONNECTS WITH A CORNER CLOTHESLINE WHICH LEAVES HIM ABSOLUTELY ROCKED! Daniella then snatches a hold of Drake and sends him down toward the center of the ring.
Stew-O: Daniella turns around and leaves the ring as she begins to scale up to the top turnbuckle, having her eyes set on something here. Drake is completely down as he’s grabbing his head in pain, not seeming to know what’s in store for him right now as Daniella sets him up… LEAPING OFF AND CRUSHING HIM WITH A FROG SPLASH!
Flannery McCoy: Daniella then rises back up to her feet, and she knows that if she wants to end this match then she’s going to have to do it now before it ends up being too late. She makes her way over to Drake and slowly begins to heave him back up to his feet. Drake is significantly damaged right now and anything more might very well spell the end of this match right here! The Champion has her eyes set on finishing this!
Jake Mercer: AS SHE GOES FOR A SECOND ATTEMPT AT ‘SOUTH OF HEAVEN’!
Stew-O: BUT DRAKE MANAGES TO SLIP OUT OF IT AS HE SPINS HIMSELF AROUND AND SHOVES DANIELLA AWAY-
Flannery McCoy: AS DANIELLA COLLIDES FACE FIRST WITH THE REFEREE! The referee staggers back into the corner, clearly distraught by what just happened right here and Daniella is visibly confused. But it looks like Drake is reaching and pulling for something inside of his trunks here, this isn’t good…
Jake Mercer: HE HAS THE ORNATE RING! HE’S WAITING FOR DANIELLA TO TURN AROUND AND SHE HAS ABSOLUTELY NO CLUE WHAT’S GOING TO HAPPEN…
(CRACK!)
Stew-O: DRAKE ARMSTRONG TAKES THE ORNATE RING AND SMASHES IT ACROSS THE FACE OF DANIELLA!
Flannery McCoy: THE REFEREE IS BEGINNING TO GAIN THEIR BEARINGS BACK BUT IT’S TOO LATE! DRAKE TOSSES THE ORNATE RING AWAY AND DROPS DOWN TO HOOK THE LEG ON DANIELLA! IS THIS GOING TO BE IT?!
OOONNNEEE!!!
TTTTWWWWOOOO!!!
TTTTTHHHHHHRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!
(DING! DING! DING!)
(‘Pride and Arrogance’ begins to play through the speakers as the crowd boos loudly for Drake Armstrong who rises up to his feet and dusts his hand off. He pretends nothing just happened as he has his hand raised in victory.)
Stephie Love: Here is your winner… DRAKE ARMSTRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!
Stew-O: Can’t say I didn’t expect that. It was going rough for Drake Armstrong but in the end he decided to go cheap and take advantage of the situation at hand and it ended up paying off for him as he has a major win here tonight against the Specialists Champion.
Flannery McCoy: I certainly don’t think that leaves the best taste in Daniella’s mouth, but right now both of them have bigger things to focus on in the near future. For now though, Drake Armstrong stands tall!
(Drake rolls out of the ring and begins to laugh as he backpedals up the ramp. Daniella Atlas is seen looking absolutely irate as she clutches her title while Friday Night Dynasty, from there, begins to fade to elsewhere.)
(A commercial plays for Road to Redemption.)
(The camera pans to the arena now, as ‘The Leaving Song Pt. II’ by AFI can be heard throughout the speakers as the crowd allows their applause to be heard. Hans Grayson emerges from the back as the Interwire Champion nods to himself after being able to defeat the EAW Hall of Famer Chris Elite. The waves of elation can be felt throughout the audience as Hans sports a small smile on his face, keeping the Interwire Championship over his own shoulder as he walks down the ramp while giving high fives as he walks down.)
Stephie Love: LADIES AND GENTLEMAN, PLEASE WELCOME… THE INTERWIRE CHAMPION… HAAAAAAANS GRAYSON!!!
Stew-O: There’s no denying the fight that both Hans Grayson & Chris Elite were able to bring toward one another at House of Glass. A hellacious battle where both men were vying for a championship that has always meant an immeasurable amount to any elitist who has been able to hold it. Chris Elite certainly proved to be an utmost worthy contender, but the story concluded with the champion retaining his gold as he scored an immense win over the former World Champion that night.
Flannery McCoy: We absolutely cannot understate the work that went into such a battle between two elitists who have always been willing to shed their blood, sweat and tears all for the sport they’re thriving within! Chris Elite has come back looking to reignite his fire of success, but the Fireheart himself would unfortunately halt him on that venture to retain his Interwire Championship! All the more curious with whatever can be said from our champion.
Jake Mercer: Hans Grayson has held the championship gold ever since Pain for Pride, willing to take on every defense that should come his way, so it’s no surprise he’s always going to be seeking out the best in just the competition, but himself as well! Here, there’s more that will be in store…
(Hans stands inside the ring with a microphone in hand, waiting for his music to die down as he keeps his title resting comfortably over his shoulder. Soon enough, Hans raised the microphone.)
Hans Grayson: You know, the last House of Glass before the one from last week really set a lot of things in stone for me. That night became the very last night that I was able to call myself New Breed Champion. I represented what it meant to be a New Breed to the fullest, and it’s a reign I am still proud of and will continue to be proud of, ‘cause you never forget about winning your first championship. I did exactly that, and it was a time where New Breed competition was truly thriving. It set the standard for the fire that should emanate within a division filled to the brim with newcomers and rookies who should be hungry as ever! That’s why House of Glass has been so important to me, ‘cause while my time for that championship ended permanently, I was able to venture into a whole new chapter of my career where the competition would truly test me to my very limits. I would eventually win this Interwire Championship, which is all of the proof that you need in order to understand that I’m not going anywhere! This has always been where I belonged, and this title, it’s all the evidence of how crucial it is to be my very best self on any given night.
Hans Grayson: Another reason why House of Glass was so important, was to right my wrong from the loss that happened last year. I needed to step into the event making sure I wasn’t following suit on another loss, especially at such an emphatic stage where I’m always looking to outperform my capabilities prior. This is another successful defense for me as I continue my reign, and it’s testament to the hard work I will never stop applying on a day by day basis. Chris, you were without a doubt my toughest challenge for this title yet. I can’t help but agree with many people out there who shared the same sentiments, you are one hell of a performer who earned his stripes for a reason. EAW Hall of Famer and all, this meant all the more to me when I was able to overcome the obstacle you represented in my reign. I can give you all of the props in the world, Chris Elite brought all of the fight to me & then some. But then…
(Hans would take a brief glance down upon his own championship, as he soon nodded to himself.)
Hans Grayson: This only pushed me even further to dig deep within my resolve as a fighting champion. I was able to take all of the pressure that Chris was placing over these shoulders and carry that weight in stride, all to bring the heat right back to him in order to retain this championship! I had to will myself beyond measure to stay champ, and I don’t exaggerate when saying that. I appreciated our war, Chris Elite.
Hans Grayson: Which leads me to other matters, regarding what’s next for me. Road to Redemption has now began to dawn upon EAW, and it won’t be that long ‘till it’s reared itself right around and directly within our journey. Safe to say that I’ve heard what Dynasty’s upper brass have said regarding champions like myself, and I can’t help but essentially see all they’ve said & interpret it as a second chance. I’ve got the opportunity to compete in the Extreme Elimination Chamber qualifying matches, and that’s gonna be very interesting to tackle understanding that I may be walking into the chamber as champion. I know exactly what this means for me, ‘cause it’s another round where I can potentially become World Champion. I was able to partake in the chamber for the World Heavyweight Championship last year, but that didn’t go how I intended. And that’s perfectly alright, after all, look at where I’m at now, right? There are battles you’re gonna win & lose, but this time I can truly make things different. This time, I’ve got another shot that would mean the whole world to me to chase again.
(Hans ponders on the following words before speaking.)
Hans Grayson: But don’t mistake this determination to chase the World Heavyweight Championship as this message that I’m forgetting about the title over my shoulder. Far from it! I’m gonna defend this title at Road to Redemption, and whoever is willing to step right up to the challenge is free to do so. By all means, I’m not here to back down from anybody that’s yearning for a shot at this championship and looking to make a name for themselves! Make that challenge, but right now, I’m gonna assure I punch my entry into that chamber so I can become a double champion in EAW. No excuses, no doubts, nothing in the way ‘cause I have to know if I’ve got what it takes to pursue these goals! Trust me, Road to Redemption? It’s one step closer to greatness from yours truly.
(Hans lowers the microphone as ‘The Leaving Song Pt. II’ can be heard once more. The audience cheered for Hans as he soon raised his title high with a smile on his face, shortly before the scene faded.)
(A commercial plays for Burger King, featuring Drake Armstrong.)
(The camera cuts to Stephie Love in the ring.)
Stephie Love: The following main event contest is scheduled for one fall!
Crowd: ONE FALL!
(‘Survivor’ by The Score can be heard throughout the arena as Rex McAllister makes his way outward from the entrance ramp as he has a positive expression, giving a brief glance toward the audience. He looks at the crowd with a reassuring nod, as he’s also glancing toward Raven Roberts, who accompanies him with a slight grin on her own face. He then makes his way down the ramp with optimism for another Dynasty main event.)
Stephie Love: Introducing first! From Sea Isle, New Jersey, weighing in at 238 pounds… REXXXXX MCALLISTER!!!
Stew-O: Yet another Dynasty main event for Rex McAllister, who is stepping into the fray just a week off from his battle at House of Glass alongside Fire & Ice partner, Raven Roberts. Rex is certainly showing himself to be a man who will not refrain from doing what he’s always thrived within, so he won’t be slowing down or taking the week off before getting busy.
Flannery McCoy: This is all about continuing to mount all of the momentum in the world, and there’s no better way of doing that than attaining a big win tonight in the main event of Dynasty. Against a foe he is very familiar with no less, this will be a battle between two giants of this company who have experienced success like no other in the past.
(‘When Darkness Falls’ by Killswitch Engage is still heard blaring throughout the speakers, with Drake King making his way out from the back & standing at the entrance ramp with a sly grin on his face. Drake looks outward with his focus intact, the crowd continuing to let their reactions be heard as he would proceed to walk down the ramp.)
Stephie Love: Introducing his opponent! Residing from the Dead Sea, Israel, weighing in at 220 pounds… HE IS ‘GOD’, DRAAAAAAKE, KINGGGGGG!!!
Stew-O: And here we have another elitist who was able to give himself the win at House of Glass, as Drake King has his own momentum to look forward to continuously mounting as the accomplished figure he’s always been. Especially in a battle against Rex McAllister, make no mistake about Drake King looking to go on this upward trajectory.
Jake Mercer: Which certainly doesn’t shock me, of course Drake King would be looking forward to the future to come where he will become champion sooner or later, and victories in bouts like these can only add to the case to be made for that much inevitably! This will be a test for both EAW Hall of Famers tonight who look toward a definitive win.
(DING! DING! DING!)
Stew-O: And we’re off! Right here in the main event of Dynasty, two EAW Hall of Famers are now doing battle as Drake King takes on Rex McAllister! Both men could not be any more different from one another than they are at this very moment in time, and they each will have quite the great deal of momentum to build upon from a victory here tonight! Rex and Drake begin to circle around the ring here, as they will certainly be looking to take this match on their respective routes, and every second is crucial when you are the caliber of these performers who have accomplished more than a vast majority of elitists in EAW as a whole!
Flannery McCoy: This will certainly indicate itself accordingly as a benchmark for where both elitist is at within their key points of their careers individually! We also see Raven Roberts at ringside for this match as well, as she is very much supporting Rex McAllister as Rex has no intentions of slowing down even after the hectic battle with Machina & Valentine at House of Glass! Goes to tell you the kind of hard working competitor that Rex McAllister is, as there’s no time wasted with Rex & Drake moving forward and initiating this collar and elbow tie-up!!
Jake Mercer: I understand Rex has got plenty going for himself, but you can’t mention his victory as if Drake King didn’t also emerge from House of Glass with a win of his own against Minerva! He was able to defeat her in a bout where it’s usually an exceeding rarity to do so, but you can say the same for Drake King himself too! These are two elitists before us who are some of the toughest men that EAW has ever seen, and that may be heresy for some people but it’s the truth! Rex is slowly pushing Drake against the ropes, as the referee is now counting away as McAllister eventually does slowly back himself off of Drake with his own arms raised, as Drake does the same…
Stew-O: Only to reel Rex right into a headlock with a quickness! And now flipping him over and onto the mat as he’s keeping this headlock applied!! The quick thinking from Drake King allows him to have this headlock set in motion while Rex is now down in a prone position, with the referee watching closely as McAllister will have to find a way to get himself out of this headlock that Drake is keeping tightly locked in for this remainder! Rex is now gazing around as he’s certainly got ideas brewing in his own head, now motioning himself over and around as he gets a leg over Drake’s temple to make him let go!!
Flannery McCoy: As Rex has got his legs wrapped around Drake’s neck now, with a maneuver that panned out very well in getting himself out of the headlock as it appears Drake King is trapped in a choke here! Rex has his own legs interlocked around his head as Drake’s quickly motioning himself upward, now looking to bring himself out of this hold with a swiftness as he frees himself and is able to stand!! Drake doesn’t waste time looking for a boot right toward Rex’s face!!!
Jake Mercer: Rex is able to grab the boot and leaves Drake King hopping on one foot here!! Drake’s shaking his own head as McAllister’s now able to bring himself up to a knee BUT NOT BEFORE DRAKE ACTS QUICKLY BY AIMING FOR AN ENZIGURI TO PUT HIM DOWN—BUT REX DUCKS THE ENZIGURI AS WELL!! Drake’s able to land on his own feet still as his back as now turned away from Rex.. WHICH MCALLISTER TAKES ADVANTAGE OF WITH A SUDDEN RUNNING BULLDOG TO TAKE DRAKE KING DOWN!! Drake’s immediately grabbing onto his own nose as he’s rolling himself away, leaning against the corner while Rex is now bringing himself back up!
Stew-O: Drake may be in a very bad spot here if he isn’t able to get himself into a better position here! He’s dragging himself up to his own feet here as he’s trying to weather the potential storm to come—ONLY FOR MCALLISTER TO RUSH TOWARD HIM WITH SEND A FOREARM SPRAWLING ACROSS HIS JAW!! Then Rex proceeds to send repeated chops across Drake’s chest as each chop seems to feel more impactful than the other! The referee is now compelled to count down as Rex has only continued to apply all of this pressure upon Drake in the corner, and it’s not long before Rex finally backs away from the corner as a disqualification loss would not warrant itself so effectively here by any means!
Flannery McCoy: Drake is certainly not undergoing the most serene few seconds he has at the moment as Rex doesn’t seem too keen on slowing down! After briefly raising his hands when backing himself away, he takes his attention on Drake once more as he runs forward with a CLOTHESLINE IN THE CORNER—BUT DRAKE WITH A BOOT TO REX’S KNEE AS IT BUCKLES! McAllister collides face-first with the turnbuckle as he’s now’s dazed, and Drake immediately takes advantage of the dazed McAllister as he ROLLS UP HIS OPPONENT WHILE HE’S DISORIENTED!!
ONEEEEE!!!
TWOOOOOOO—
Jake Mercer: REX ESCAPES THE ROLL UP! McAllister rolls himself backward and moving back up to his feet with a quickness as he’s not looking to remain idle for long, BUT DRAKE HAS OTHER PLANS! JUMPING KNEE NAILS REX MCALLISTER DIRECTLY ACROSS THE JAW!! Rex is staggered considerably there as Drake’s eagerly backing away into the ropes, and with McAllister stirring in place as the knee didn’t knock him down but left him vulnerable, Drake’s got an opportunity to do just that AS HE RUSHES FORWARD FOR THE SLINGBLADE—
Stew-O: BUT REX CAUGHT DRAKE IN PLACE AND PREVENTED HIM FROM COMMITTING TO THE SLINGBLADE!! Drake King is wide-eyed as he’s given no time to counter Rex hoisting him highly into the air AND SLAMMING HIM BACK DOWN WITH A BELLY TO BACK FACEBUSTER!! Rex turns Drake over and onto his own shoulders as he hooks the leg, with the referee soon sliding to the count!!
ONEEEEE!!!
TWOOOOOOO!!!
Flannery McCoy: Drake King with the shoulder up!!! Rex McAllister is now applying the pressure fully as he’s got Drake unable to mount any control in this match!! Drake is eagerly dragging himself back up using the ropes, but Rex is not gonna give him the breathing room he needs right about now as ANOTHER KNIFE EDGE CHOP catches Drake King off guard! Drake winces in pain as Rex has been putting him through this undesirable measure of pain! Rex isn’t here to halt the offense as he’s now turning Drake right around, AND A CHOP IS SENT TOWARD THE BACK OF HIS NECK AS WELL!!
Jake Mercer: Rex McAllister’s chops can be heard no matter where you are, I would’ve felt that from the other side of the planet! Drake couldn’t mask the pain from that chop as he’s leaned against the ropes, but now Rex is wrapping his own arms around Drake from behind as he’s LOOKING TO LAUNCH DRAKE KING ACROSS THE RING WITH A GERMAN SUPLEX!!
Stew-O: BUT DRAKE IS HOLDING ON!! He holds onto the ropes with both hands as gripping on the ropes tightly to prevent the suplex from going through! Rex is trying to commit but now he has to let go after a STRONG ELBOW MEETS HIS TEMPLE IN THE PROCESS FROM DRAKE! McAllister backs away, and Drake has now been given the much needed room to recoup & REFOCUS—
Flannery McCoy: AS A SLINGBLADE FOLLOWS SUIT! DRAKE IS ABLE TO DROP REX MCALLISTER RIGHT ONTO THE MAT WITH A SLINGBLADE!! Rex is shaking his own head as Drake is now back up to his feet, able to put McAllister down quite emphatically as he’s now capable of dragging Rex closer to the middle of the ring!! He looks to go for a maneuver that can certainly change the trajectory of the match for good.. as he’s hoisting Rex off from the mat and OVER HIS SHOULDERS!! WE’RE GONNA SEE A BUCKLE BOMB!!
Jake Mercer: BUT DRAKE SQUIRMS FREE AND DROPS BEHIND HIM! Rex McAllister is wide eyed as he’s unable to connect with the powerbomb while turning himself around—DIRECTLY INTO A SUPERKICK THAT STAGGERS REX MCALLISTER ONCE MORE!! Drake’s seeing that McAllister is not moving at all and with the time he’s got, there’s no other options to consider here! DRAKE IS RUSHING TOWARD HIM—
Stew-O: BUT REX IS ABLE TO OVERHEAD THROW DRAKE RIGHT OVER THE ROPES!! Drake is able to hold onto the ropes while he stands himself on the apron, with Rex taking notice as he’s now wasting no time. Drake’s not prepared for what may put him down without a second glance here AS REX RUSHES TOWARD HIM & LOOKS TO SPEAR DRAKE KING THROUGH THE ROPES!!!
Flannery McCoy: BUT DRAKE LEAPS OVER THE TOP ROPE & ROLLS THROUGH TO EVADE THE SPEAR!! Rex McAllister goes through the ropes and flips himself over to land on his feet, wide-eyed as Drake King doesn’t let a second go to waste AS HE RUSHES TOWARD REX WHO’S STILL AT RINGSIDE!!!
Flannery McCoy: SUICIDE DIVE CONNECTS!!! Drake takes Rex down with the suicide dive, as Rex is driven back first into the barricade as a result as Drake’s quick thinking being shown yet again!! Rex slumps downward while Drake is bringing himself to a proper stance with aid of the barricade! Raven is watching on, paying close attention as she is certainly ensuring Drake King does not raise any significant ire where involvement would be necessary.
Jake Mercer: She wouldn’t interfere anyway! This isn’t her main event tonight, this is all on Rex McAllister here to pick up the victory! Now Rex is trying to bring his own body up here despite the suicide dive, very much pushing through here BUT NOT FOR LONG! DRAKE DRIVES REX DIRECTLY INTO THE STEEL STEPS MIDSECTION FIRST!! McAllister felt every single bit of that as Drake is now pushing Rex back into the ring before bringing himself back in!
Stew-O: McAllister is not exactly staying down, but it may not be the best decision for him to make here as he’s clutching his own abdomen after he was just driven into the steel steps! Rex returns to his feet while Drake is back inside the ring as well, quickly grabbing a hold of McAllister’s arm before turning him around AND NAILING A RIPCORD KNEE STRIKE FOR GOOD MEASURE!! McAllister slumps down as Drake immediately turns him over and hooks the leg for the win!!!
ONEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
TWOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
THR—
Flannery McCoy: NOPE! REX KICKS OUT!!! Drake shakes his own head now as he’s situating himself right over McAllister, sending repeated forearms across his skull as Rex is absolutely struggling to surmount past the pressure that’s being applied very much by Drake King at the moment! Not exactly looking the best for McAllister while Drake has all of the control possible!
Jake Mercer: Now Drake is quickly dragging Rex over to the nearest corner of the ring, as we see Drake King climbing himself up to the very top of the turnbuckle!! With his back turned away from Rex and ready to potentially put a great exclamation mark on this match… DRAKE TAKES FLIGHT WITH THE PHOENIX SPLASH!!
Stew-O: REX ROLLS OUT OF THE WAY!!! DRAKE KING IS ABLE TO LAND ON HIS FEET AND ROLL THROUGH AT THE NICK OF TIME!!! Drake’s now immediately turning himself around as Rex hasn’t recovered as quickly as he may have needed to!!! DRAKE RUSHES BACK TOWARD MCALLISTER—BUT REX SWIFTLY HOISTS HIM HIGH AND DROPS HIM WITH A SPINEBUSTER!!! THE COVER!!!
ONEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
TWOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
THR—
Flannery McCoy: NOT ENOUGH!! Drake King is able to kick out before the three count could be realized! McAllister did what he could to return control but victory is yet to be attained! Now Rex is bringing himself up, and he’s looking to put Drake King down for good as he’s getting himself up while waiting for Drake to emerge back up to his own two feet as well! Rex proceeds to get his own arm around his waist and now IS ABLE TO HOIST HIM UP HIGH FOR THE OLYMPIC SLAM—
Jake Mercer: But Drake manages to land right onto his own feet as he’s behind Rex McAllister—AND SENDS A FOREARM RIGHT ACROSS THE BACK OF REX’S NECK!! McAllister is still doing his very best to remain standing on his own two feet as Drake King proceeds to spin around and SEND A DISCUS ELBOW SPRAWLING ACROSS MCALLISTER’S BACK OF THE HEAD TO DROP HIM DOWN TO HIS KNEES!! Now Drake is able to make the run toward the ropes as he’s looking to rebound right back around & KEEP REX DOWN—
Stew-O: BUT A SUDDEN LARIAT FROM REX MCALLISTER IS ABLE TO PUT DRAKE KING DOWN!! McAllister is able to weather the storm and undergo all of the strife placed right on him as he sends Drake down, turning him inside out with the lariat!! Now his opponent is absolutely dazed and Rex is working himself back up to his own two feet! Drake is groggy while motioning himself back up, and McAllister has Drake ready to be taken down for good this time… AS REX RUNS TOWARD HIM AND SEEKS OUT THE ‘REX EFFECT’!!
Flannery McCoy: BUT DRAKE WITH A ROUNDHOUSE KICK OF HIS OWN TAKES REX OFF OF HIS FEET! McAllister drops down to a prone position as Drake King is now able to keep himself steady while motioning back over to Rex! He hooks his arms and has him in position for the maneuver that can completely turn this match around for good.. AS ‘ASCENSION’ PUTS REX DOWN!! THE PEDIGREE IS A SUCCESS AS DRAKE FLIPS REX OVER AND HOOKS THE LEG!!
ONEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
TWOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
THREE—
Jake Mercer: NO! NOT ENOUGH!! REX IS STILL IN THIS!! Drake shakes his own head while sitting upward, understanding that he’s gonna need to put him down exactly like how he’s been able to become victorious in matches throughout his accoladed career! He’s standing back up, and with Rex slowly crawling himself up to a prone position… DRAKE SEES HIS OPPORTUNITY BY RUSHING OVER AND STOMPING DOWN FOR THE ‘JUDGMENT DAY’—
Stew-O: BUT REX MOVES OUT OF THE WAY AS DRAKE KING STOPS HIMSELF DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THE REFEREE! Drake immediately raised his hands in the air as the referee begins to scold him now! He then turns himself around to keep his attention on Rex McAllister—BUT REX WITH A YAKUZA KICK KNOCKS DRAKE DIRECTLY INTO THE REFEREE!! THE REFEREE COLLAPSES ONTO THE OUTSIDE FLOOR AT RINGSIDE!!
Flannery McCoy: This isn’t good at all!!! Now Rex is wide-eyed as he’s peering over to the referee as Raven’s now motioning herself over to the ref’ as well, perhaps trying to get him up here—BUT DRAKE WITH ANOTHER SUPERKICK THAT LEAVES REX PRONE!! DRAKE IS GONNA TAKE ADVANTAGE RIGHT HERE AS HE’S BACKING HIMSELF AWAY TO THE CORNER! ‘JUDGEMENT DAY’ IS READY TO GO TO PUT REX DOWN—
(Suddenly, the audience roars as a familiar figure rushed down the ramp and brought themselves up to the apron.)
Jake Mercer: MINERVA IS HERE!!!!! SHE PULLS DRAKE’S NECK RIGHT OVER THE TOP ROPE TO STUN HIM!! SHE THEN YANKS HIM OUT OF THE RING AS DRAKE’S SQUIRMING AROUND AT RINGSIDE, CLUTCHING HIS OWN THROAT! DRAKE’S EAGERLY BRINGING HIMSELF BACK UP TO HIS FEET HERE TO STAY CONSCIOUS BUT HERE’S MINERVA!!
Stew-O: MINERVA WITH THE STEEL STEPS ACROSS HIS SKULL!!! DRAKE’S ABSOLUTELY DAZED BEYOND BELIEF AS MINERVA DROPS THE STEPS—AND FOLLOWS UP WITH ‘THE DEVIL’S TOUCH’!!! SUPERKICK ABSOLUTELY FLOORS DRAKE TO FOLLOW UP THE STEPS! MINERVA THEN TOSSES DRAKE BACK INTO THE RING!! DRAKE’S VIGOROUSLY SHAKING HIS HEAD AS HE’S DAZED AND CONFUSED, REFUSING TO BELIEVE THIS IS HAPPENING WHILE STIRRING UP TO HIS FEET—
Flannery McCoy: ‘REX EFFECT’!!!! REX PUTS DRAKE DOWN AS HE THEN HOOKS THE LEG HERE! RAVEN’S ABLE TO GET THE REFEREE BACK INTO THE RING AS HE COUNTS THE PIN!!
ONEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
TWOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
(DING! DING! DING!)
Stephie Love: HERE IS YOUR WINNER… REXXXX MCALLISTER!!!
Stew-O: Rex McAllister taking advantage of the chaos that’s all been incited from the knockdown to Minerva’s appearance here tonight—BUT MINERVA RUSHES INTO THE RING! SHE’S NOW NAILING THE ELBOWS RIGHT ACROSS DRAKE KING IS SHE’S REFUSING TO HOLD HERSELF BACK!! IT’S ALL BEING LET OUT AS DRAKE IS ALREADY HAVING BLOOD FLOW FROM HIS HEAD DUE TO THE STEEL STEPS!
Flannery McCoy: Minerva finally gets off of Drake King as we now see her slide out of the ring, quickly scouting under the ring as she’s now got a chair in possession! She slides back into the ring while Drake is scrambling to get himself back up after facing defeat due to Minerva’s involvement! He’s now able to bring himself back up to a stance WHICH MAY NOT LAST FOR LONG!!
Jake Mercer: STEEL CHAIR ACROSS HIS SKULL!!!! DRAKE IS ABSOLUTELY STAGGERED AS MINERVA KEEPS A HOLD OF HIS HEAD WHILE PLACING THE CHAIR DOWN! SHE’S GOT DRAKE WELL IN POSITION WHILE HE’S DEFENSELESS—FOR ‘THE SIREN’S LONELY SONG’ ONTO THE CHAIR!! SPIKED ONTO HIS OWN SKULL!!
Stew-O: And now Minerva stands over Drake King, certainly itching to deliver this beating since the events of House of Glass!! Congratulations to Rex McAllister on the main event victory, as this is certainly a rivalry that’s far from over. Thank you for joining us tonight, and see you next week!
(Rex reunited with Raven as his arm is raised with the victory and walking up the ramp, as Minerva stood right over Drake for a brief moment before sliding out of the ring to walk away. Drake lies in the middle of the mat, a bloody heep who makes no sudden movements as the scene soon fades.)
(EAW logo buzzes.)
