BREAKING NEWS: What happened when Voltage went off the air?

(Fight Grid intro plays.)

[SCREENBAR: POST-SUNDAY NIGHT VOLTAGE; STANDARD BANK ARENA IN JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA]

(The camera fades in to show the backstage area of the Standard Bank Arena, where EAW crewmembers are seen all around after wrapping up the show, beginning to pack up and leave. It’s a loud and hectic process, but the scene only focuses on one area. Fight Grid host Molly Waters is standing by with a microphone in hand, seemingly ready to conduct a post-show interview. She brings it up to her mouth and from there, begins to speak to the people watching at home.)

Molly Waters: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Fight Grid! Your home for news all throughout the Land of Elite! I’m coming to you tonight live from South Africa to conduct an interview concerning the exciting episode we’ve had of Sunday Night Voltage this week. As you know, from top to bottom, it was incredible. We had some stellar matches showcased with some stellar Elitists, but there is one particular one that I wanted to hone in on, and that was the main event. Yes, as you saw, the Unified Tag Team Championships were on the line and successfully retained by the Champions against the reasonably dysfunctional team of Drake King and TLA. Standing by, I have my two guests tonight, and those are the winners. Please join me in welcoming Dr. Bethany Blue and Sheridan Müller… The Prescription!

(The camera pans over to reveal Bethany and Sheridan standing next to Molly. Bethany is seated on a production crate unwrapping her wrist tape, meanwhile, Sheridan is leaning against a wall next to her with a towel wrapped around her neck. They both look toward Molly as acknowledgment before she then brings her microphone back up to her mouth and begins to speak.)

Molly Waters: Well, Bethany and Sheridan, thank you for joining us tonight. As we all know you two just went through one hell of a match, and an undoubtedly interesting one while we’re at it, with your titles on the line. Of course, you two ended up coming out on top, and I just wanted to hear your thoughts-

???: Nuh uh, Molly. I think *I’ll* be taking over this interview for you.

(Bethany and Sheridan instantly perk up while Molly turns in confusion. Footsteps faintly begin to enter the scene while the camera pans over to Molly’s right to reveal… Ronan Malosi. The towering figure stands with his arms crossed and a smirk on his face, holding his hand out to imply that he demands the microphone before being handed it by Molly. He shoos her away before then approaching his two former Brand Warfare teammates.)

Sheridan Müller: If I were you, I wouldn’t come any closer.

Ronan Malosi: Whoa, you could treat your boss with a little more respect, Sheridan… you do know I’m your boss now, right?

Dr. Bethany Blue: :yikes: If that’s what you want to call it. The way I see it, you’re being given this role of working alongside Eden Sinclair was just a way for Captain Charisma to get you to shut up. He knows you two are bound to implode working with one another anyway, so why should we care?

(Ronan slightly frowns for a moment, he knows that his demands to become Voltage Commissioner didn’t exactly… go his way. But nonetheless, he does have a semblance of power to hang onto and he knows it.)

Ronan Malosi: The way you put it, it’s like I’m about the same as you two, but I’m not. Like it or not I do have a level of power here and I demand that be respected. Besides, it should’ve already been considering I’m the locker room leader around here. But no, instead of respect I end up getting disrespect, and I’m not going to stand for it much longer. What happened on the Voltage after Territorial Invasion when I was attacked by my own teammates after carrying the entire team to a victory was the final straw, and now I’ve come to the conclusion that those actions will not come without consequences. I’m already in the process of handling Daryl Kinkade and will do so when I give him the lesson he deserves at Wicked Games, but I just wanted to come here to give you two a stern reminder that you’re on that list as well.

(Silence kicks in while Bethany and Sheridan look at one another, before turning over to Ronan.)

Dr. Bethany Blue: Whatever you say.

Sheridan Müller: Alright.

(Ronan, of course, is baffled by the sheer amount of carelessness that The Prescription are showing right now.)

Ronan Malosi: Excuse me, that’s ‘yes sir’ to you two.

Sheridan Müller: With all due respect, “sir”, I’d advise you to go bother someone else. We may have just gone through a match, but I think Bethany and I can agree that we have more than enough energy to forcefully remove you from the area.

Ronan Malosi: Is that a threat? I think that’s a threat. Oh imagine when I tell Mathieu this, he wouldn’t want to see one of the higher-ups being treated with disrespect, would he?

Dr. Bethany Blue: :francis: Didn’t know you were on a first-name basis with the Commissioner, I don’t think he even likes you all that much. Now can you leave? With the mess that was the team of Drake and TLA, we’ve had more than enough foolishness for today.

(Ronan sighs, bowing his head in disappointment, less toward himself and more toward the Unified Tag Team Champions. He shrugs his shoulders though and looks up.)

Ronan Malosi: Suit yourselves, but when I get around to you two don’t be so shocked when I’m the one that leaves you helpless and defenseless.

Sheridan Müller: Good luck with that.

Ronan Malosi: Indeed.

(Ronan begins to walk away… until Bethany stretches her leg out, ‘accidentally’ tripping Ronan and sending him stumbling into a stack of trashcans! He’s completely leveled while The Prescription look toward one another and snicker. Ronan, absolutely pissed by this, looks to get up, but before he can it’s Sheridan that takes one of the trashcans and dumps it onto his head!)

Dr. Bethany Blue: Look what happened, Ronan Malosi, helpless and defenseless. Oh, the irony…

(Bethany and Sheridan pridefully walk away from the scene while Ronan swiftly tosses the trashcan off and swings his head around to look for the culprits. But by the time he recovers, he’s long gone, leaving Ronan humiliated at what just happened. Words cannot comprehend how he’s feeling right now and can only briskly storm away in anger, which is the last shot seen before the scene ultimately fades out.)

(Fight Grid logo buzzes.)
