(Fight Grid intro plays.)
(The camera begins to fade to a shot of EAW Headquarters in Newark, New Jersey. As always the camera pans around the building for a while, and afterwards the camera fades to the inside of the building, where Fight Grid Host Molly Waters is seen. She’s holding a microphone in her hands and a smile on her face, and after a few seconds she begins to speak.)
Molly Waters: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Fight Grid, your source for all news throughout the Land of Elite! Today we have some breaking news, as an altercation took place following Voltage on Sunday night. As we all know, tensions have been rising between Theron Nikolas and Methuselah ever since Methuselah made a surprising return back at King of Elite at Theron’s expense, costing Theron his match against Yhwach O’Hara before putting out a challenge for Tempest. The altercation has been recorded, so let’s take a look at what went down between the two.)
[SCREENBAR – T-Mobile Center, after Sunday Night Voltage.]
(The camera fades to the parking lot of the T-Mobile Center, the location of last Sunday’s Voltage. The camera reveals that Theron Nikolas is leaving the arena after the show, and he doesn’t look entirely happy. Things didn’t go his way during the show, and more importantly, he has to think about the mess he’s been in with Methuselah, his Tempest opponent. He walks out of the arena, but before he could get too far he’s stopped by Sofia Clarke, who is holding a microphone in her hand.)
Sofia Clarke: Excuse me Theron, do you have a second?
(Theron looks at Sofia, and thinks for just a second or two. Despite his annoyance, he chooses to stop, allowing Sofia to speak.)
Sofia Clarke: Thank you, I was just hoping to hear your thoughts on your upcoming match at Tempest. As we all know that things between you and Methuselah have become very intense. How are you feeling heading into your match against him?
(Theron remains for a few seconds, before finally beginning to speak.)
Theron Nikolas: How do I feel? This is what we’ve all been waiting for, isn’t it? Ever since he returned at King of Elite. Ever since he traced that ridiculous symbol and named the time and place. Ever since he chose to stand in my way, this is what we’ve all been waiting for. At Tempest one of us- if not both of us will be left in a pool of our own blood, and that’s just the bare minimum of what’s to come at Tempest. If you want to know how I feel then I’ll answer in just one word. Ready. I’m ready for a match that’s going to ultimately fall into chaos. I’m ready for the opportunity to bring carnage to the ring. I’m ready for Methuselah to live up to all his words, fulfill all his promises, and do his worst. When our match is over, Methuselah is going to regret crossing my path-
(Just before Theron could finish his sentence, he’d be knocked onto the pavement as Sofia backs away. The camera pans up, and the person responsible for the attack turns out to be the same man Theron Nikolas is preparing to face. Methuselah looks down at Theron, before pulling him up to his feet and throwing him into a car. Theron tries to grab onto the car to pull himself up, but Methuselah runs in, hitting Theron with a running boot to the side of the head. Theron drops to the ground, and Methuselah drops down before grabbing Theron’s head, before lifting it up and repeatedly slamming the back of it onto the pavement.)
(Theron tries to fight back and push Methuselah off of him, but as Methuselah continues slamming his head onto the ground, Theron’s fight gets weaker. Finally Methuselah pulls Theron back up as blood starts to come from the back of his head. Methuselah throws Theron back into the car as Theron falls over onto the hood of the car, tumbling over onto the other side of the car. Methuselah looks over at Theron, and seeing that he is down and out, he slowly begins to walk away from the area.)
(The camera returns to EAW Headquarters, and Molly Waters is seen in front of the camera once again.)
Molly Waters: As said before, things between these two have been very heated. In the end it turned out to be far worse than expected, causing a very violent attack that took place after Voltage was already off air. Tempest is still over a week away and at this event Theron Nikolas and Methuselah will face off, but this match may just be very surprising. If there are any updates on this situation I’ll be sure to let you all know as soon as possible. That’s all for now, though. Thank you all for joining us, as always I’m Molly Waters, signing out.
(Molly waves at the camera, and the camera begins to slowly fade away from the inside of EAW Headquarters. There’s one more shot of the entire building, and after the camera pans around the building one last time, the camera fades to black.)
