(The camera opens up to a pan-around shot of EAW Headquarters located in Newark, New Jersey. After a moment, the shot then begins to fade to show the inside of the building, where Fight Grid Host Molly Waters is seen. She’s standing by with a microphone in her hand and a smile on her face, and after a few seconds, she begins to speak.)
Molly Waters: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Fight Grid, your source for all the news throughout the Land of Elite! I am your host, Molly Waters. And we’re coming at you tonight with some breaking news regarding Pain For Pride 16 and one of the matches that will be happening at the event! As you may already know, on the last episode of Sunday Night Voltage, Commissioner Captain Charisma announced something that he had been working on alongside General Managers Tyrone Montgomery of Friday Night Dynasty and Kennedy Street of Saturday Night Voltage. They wanted to give their woman an opportunity to go out there and prove themselves on such a grand stage, which is why they decided to hold a tri-brand Specialists Championship contendership match. That led to Captain Charisma choosing Usagi Senshi to represent Voltage for the match, but it also begs the question of who will be representing the other two brands. There are a lot of options to go around in terms of female Elitists that have proven themselves worthy of this opportunity, that is why I am certain that this is not a hasty decision for any of the brands to make in terms of who they think is going to be most favorable in a match like this one. And while I’m more than certain that Showdown will be announcing their competitor soon, I have just gotten word from Tyrone Montgomery himself that he has made a decision about who Dynasty is going to choose for the match.
Molly Waters: The choices are endless, but ultimately the person that is going to be joining Usagi in the match from the Dynasty brand is none other than Jamie Cross! Jamie as you know is one of the more earlier arrivals to this company, and has put herself out there as someone to look out for in the future heading into Pain For Pride. She just recently had an opportunity to fight for the New Breed Championship and showed exactly why she is deserving of more opportunities of the sort by laying it all on the line against a tough Champion. Now she is presented with another chance to shine, and by winning this she would be on the fast track to another title shot to her name and possibly her first Championship. Is that something that will happen? Well, that remains to be seen. But right now that’s all we have for you tonight on Fight Grid, as always I’m Molly Waters, signing out.
