( ‘The Man’ by The Killers blasts through the speakers as Ian Ross makes his way to the ring with a microphone on his hands. He salutes the fans along the road as they cheer him. )
Ross: Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome back to Monday Night Battleground. Tonight we have a stacked card, with some interesting matches on the way. However the card is not the only stacked thing around here, because our roster has been pretty stacked too lately and with our newest member, the former EAW Openweight Champion, Lars Grier, the roster is looking stronger than it did. Lars went against the odds and beat Andrea Valentine to win the Openweight Title, but unfortunately he lost it at Operation: Doomsday against Mr. Kevin Hunter. After that night, I had a conversation with Matt Daniels and we decided to bring Lars over to the show where the legends are made. And I’m sure Lars has what it’s needed to become a legend. I-
( ‘4th Dimension’ by Kanye West & Kid Cudi ft Louis Prima blasts through the speakers as the crowd boo’s. Lars comes out on the stage with a mic on his hands, this time solo, without his brother Maximus. )
Lars: Cut this bullshit, Ian. We all know I don’t belong here. I DON’T want to be here. I was forced to, because of how much I love this job and how much effort I’ve put into this. But the reason why I’m brought here is beyond the imagination. Just because I lost my Openweight Championship, I get relegated?! Is this some type of joke? Like seriously, do I have to prove myself among these noobs like you want me to, Ian? Do I really have to do that?
Ross: Listen, it had to be done, with or without my permission. I didn’t want-
Lars: Yeah, sure, whatever. You would accept everything thrown on your way just to be called “a good GM”. I know you need me to make this show better, but I don’t belong here. It’s like putting a wolf among the sheep. I can beat anyone in here at any given time, so what’s the point in all this? But hey, you know what? I don’t even care, you want to punish me by putting me here, I’m going to punish everyone on this roster. I don’t care about the consequences, I don’t care about this show, I’m going to do what I have to do. So Ian, shut the hell up and save your bullshit for another day, because I’m not planning on waiting till I get 15 points to go up. No. I’m just going to go straight up where I was and got unfairly relegated. Mark my words, The Crooked man is going to crook the entire Battleground roster.
( Lars drops the mic on the floor as his theme starts playing and he furiously makes his way to the back. Ian is seen standing there surprised and offended from what Lars said, before the camera fades to black. )
Maria Del Rey: This is your opening contest of the evening… and it’s scheduled for ONE FALL…
Crowd: ONE FALL!!!
(“Inferno” by Michael Gordon plays as Denis Cercel immediately appears from beyond the curtain and gestures with his arms for the crowd to get louder, and with that they do as he makes his way toward the ring, reaching his arms out accepting touches from assorted fans on each side.)
Maria Del Rey: Making his way down the isle…from ROMANIA!…weighing in at TWO HUNDRED AND TEN POUNDS…this is DENIS CERCEL!!!
Knight: Denis Cercel has arrived, Ruggs! And he looks ready to go!
Ruggiero: Indeed, Ben. Denis Cercel is set to take on Kenji Masato! It should be a hell of a match to come!
(Denis Cercel is in the ring now standing on the middle turbuckle taking in the positive crowd reaction)
(“Just Close Your Eyes V1” by Waterproof Blonde “Inferno” as Kenji arrives on the scene and for a brief moment stares out at the crowd that gives him a mixed reaction, but mostly jeers as he begins walking toward the ring.)
Maria Del Rey: And his opponent, from KOYOTO, JAPAN!!!…weighing in at TWO HUNDRED AND TWENTY NINE POUNDS…He’s known as “THE KILLDRIVER”…This is…KENJI MASATO!!!
Knight: Ever arriving here in EAW to Battleground, Kenji Masato has shown us that he’s going to do anything and everything to put his name on the same level as many of this business’ greats! His skills and talent are exceptional, and this platform is a good way to show the early makings of it! He looks very promising to say the least.
Ruggiero: You can just see it, Ben! This man is ready! There’s no doubt, he must seize every opportunity imaginable until he has what he desires most!
(Kenji is now in the ring, stretching by using the ropes as he does. Denis looks ready as well. The referee promptly signals for the bell to ring to begin the match.)
(DING! DING! DING!)
Knight: Both men begin circling the ring, before Denis makes the first move toward Kenji who is ready as they both go for the collar and elbow tie up with Kenji gaining the advantage on the first exchange with a headlock to Denis, but Denis quickly maneuvers out by sending Kenji to the ropes. Kenji though comes back quickly with a shoulder tackle that sends Denis down to the canvas. Kenji runs to the ropes going to his left and comes back again with another shoulder tackle that once again produces the same result! Kenji picks Denis up and whips him to the ropes and backdrops Denis who holds the small of his back, but Kenji doesn’t appear to be finished here! Kenji with pretty stiff kicks to the biceps area of Denis, and you can really hear the impact of each kick! Denis yelping in agony with each kick! Kenji now runs to the ropes again, and OOOHHHH!! HE COMES WITH A HARD RUNNING KNEE THIS TIME TO DENIS!!! MAN!! THE IMPACT ON THAT ONE, RUGGS! AND THAT SENDS DENIS TUMBLING THROUGH THE ROPES!!
ONE!!!
TWO!!!
THREE!!!
Knighti: Kenji Masato maneuvers through the ropes to the floor! He’s very deliberate with his attack, wasting no time as he quickly hops up on the barricade, he leaps off and LANDS A DOUBLE FOOT STOMP ONTO THE CHEST OF DENIS CERCEL!!! DENIS ROLLING AWAY COMPLETELY HAVING HAD THE WIND TAKEN OUT OF HIM ON THAT MANEUVER BY KENJI!!! It’s been all Kenji from the start! You gotta wonder when Denis is going to find his typical brand of offense that we’ve seen on onther occasions! But it’s not over yet! Kenji Masato picking up the stunned Denis, but Denis with the headbutt to Kenji sending him staggering back slightly, and then CERCEL GOING FOR A LARIAT TO KENJI! NO!!! KENJI NOT DAZED QUITE ENOUGH DUCKS THE LARIAT, AND NOW GRABS CERCEL AND PICKS HIM UP FROM BEHIND AND TAKES HIM DOWN TO THE FLOOR AGAIN THIS TIME WITH A BELLY TO BACK SUPLEX!!! THAT FLOOR PADDING IS SO UNFORGIVING! REFEREE AT NINE! Kenji back up….
(DING! DING! DING!)
Maria Del Rey: This match has been ruled a count out!!!!….
Knight: Well that was certainly unexpected. Kenji and Cercel continue fighting on the outside as the lead official along with other officials look to break it up! RUNNING KNEE STRIKE TO THE HEAD BY CERCEL! KENJI MASATO IS DOWN AS OFFICIALS HAVE TO HOLD THE INTENSE DENIS CERCEL BACK FROM UNLEASHING ANY MORE DEVASTATING STRIKES LIKE THAT!
Ruggiero: Well, it’s hard to say if that’s enough to impress to be honest. Neither one gets much for that kind of effort, but let that be a learning experience for both of these competitors!
Cercel is being led away from the scene by officials. Cercel shouts in his home language toward Kenji. He is shown turning back one last time as Kenji is slowly recovering.
(Commercial plays for Wicked Games, a Voltage (and friends) event live on November 17th.)
(Maria Del Rey enters the ring to announce the next match of the evening.)
Maria Del Rey: Ladies and Gentlemen the following contest is set for one fall! Introducing first, weighing in at two hundred pounds, from London, England, The Crippler Conor Gladstone!
(“Street Fighting Man” by the Rolling Stones plays as Conor makes his way to the ring.)
Clark Ruggiero: Now for out next match, featuring two debuts, first up is Conor Gladstone, Ben, The Crippler apparently hates his wife and is looking to buy a caravan so he can escape her constant complaining, can you relate?
Ben Knight: Don’t ask me terrible questions like that, Clark, this guy seemed more focused on getting out of the house than he did getting in the win column. He’s in for a long night, in my opinion.
Maria Del Rey: And his opponent, weighing in at two hundred and ninety-five pounds, from Honolulu, Hawaii…The Mountain that Flies, Endeavor!
(The opening riff of ‘Epic’ by Faith No More hits the air to cheers from the fans. Smoke gathers at the top of the stage as the lights around the arena darken in sequence, until one bright spotlight illuminates the top of the ramp. As the first verse begins, Endeavor steps out of the smoke, arms outstretched. He proceeds down the ramp, slapping hands and jawing with the fans in the front row. When he reaches the ring, he hops up onto the apron and climbs the turnbuckle, showboating and playing air guitar along with the music.)
Ruggiero: Endeavor certainly fits the moniker “Mountain that Flies”, Ben, I’ve seen this man in training and it’s a thing of beauty!
Knight: It certainly is, Clark, but out idea of beauty is going to be a nightmare for poor Conor.
(The referee calls for the bell signalling the start of the match.)
DING! DING! DING!
Ruggiero: Gladstone takes stock of Endeavor and hits the ropes, likely looking for a clothesline here…NO! He hit Endeavor and did not move the larger man! Looks like the Big Kahuna is inviting Conor take another shot! Ben, is this a smart move from Endeavor?
Knight: It’s a bold one, for sure, The Crippler looks to be taking up on his offer, though, he catches the larger man in a headlock! Gladstone is wanting to take control here, and fires off several shots to the jaw of Endeavor…He throws him to the ropes and leaps to dodge the rebound…NO! ENDEAVOR CATCHES CONOR AND TOSSES HIM UP…POPUP POWERBOMB! Conor is laid out! Look out! Endeavor is climbing the turnbuckle, I think he senses that the end is near…DOOMSAULT! LOOK AT THAT! ENDEAVOR HIT A BEAUTY OF A MOONSAULT! The referee gets into position…
ONE!
TWO!
THREE!
DING! DING! DING!
Maria Del Rey: Ladies and Gentlemen, the winner of this match by pinfall…ENNNNNNNNDDDDDEEEEEEAAAAAVVVVVVVOOOOOORRRRRRR
(“Epic” by Faith No more plays as Endeavor makes his way back up the ramp, slapping high-fives to the crowd on his way as Conor lays in the center of the ring, unmoving.)
(A commercial for The Purge: Assault, starring Noah Reigner plays. This time it’s personal.)
( ‘Mein Hertz Brennt’ by Rammenstein picks up as the arena delivers loud boo’s to Xavier Arnold who comes out making his way to the ring. He gets handed a mic and slowly begins to speak. )
Xavier: Good evening, ugly people of Newark. As you may know, my name is Xavier Arnold and I’m the man standing on top of the Battleground table with 11 precious points. During my time here in Battleground, I’ve done a lot of stuff. I’ve beaten Eric Crane, two times. I almost got that New Breed Championship from Raven Roberts and much more. So far I’m the best man here yet. And as the best guy in this roster, I’m ready to pick a fight on anyone at anytime. So right now, I’m making an open challenge. I’ll bet 1 point in this fight, just so I make sure I go straight to the main roster and this is my last night here. So… WHO WANTS TO FACE THE KAISER?
( Xavier waits in the ring as “It Had To Be This Way” by Jamie Christopherson blasts through the speakers and the arena gives a mixed reaction to Caden Walker who stands on the stage with a mic on his hands. )
Caden: Well, well, well. Look who we have here. The man who thinks he is above us all… just for… beating Eric Crane?! Really? Since when that is an accomplishment? Beating people inferior to you, isn’t something to be proud about. I shouldn’t even say inferior, because you’re both on the same level… below me. I’m the real deal around here. I’m the man who beat Jack Haze last week. So, if you want some REAL competition, I’m standing right in front of you.
( ‘Revolution’ by The Beatles starts playing as the arena cheer Jack Haze who comes out on the stage standing near Caden. )
Jack: Hello, people. I heard you two were having some fun here that you even got my name involved, so I thought I’d join the fun too. Caden, it’s true you beat me last week. But I have to say, it was a pretty lucky win. I wasn’t prepared for what occurred and you won, props to you. However I wouldn’t say you’re better than me based on one match. So how do you think if we have a second one. Without excluding mr. Xavier Arnold who believes to be the leader of Battleground when he’s really not. Xavier, you let your wins get over your head and I’m making sure you stop it TONIGHT. SO I’M CHALLENGING BOTH OF YOU IN A TRIPLE THREAT MATCH, TONIGHT! What are you saying boys?
Xavier: Well, I wanted a challenge, I got it. Not the biggest one for somebody like me, but I accept. What do you think, Caden?
Caden: An opportunity to beat both of you at the same time? Say no more… I’M IN!
(Xavier, fed up with the situation, storms out of the ring and up the ramp as Jack steps forward to Caden.)
Jack: Well, looks the match just became interesting, I’ll see you in the ring, Caden.
Caden: Sure thing, Jack, like I said this week, you’re no ace, you’re actually just a lowly deuce!
(Caden drops the microphone laughing as Jack chases him to the back.)
Maria: The following contest is scheduled for one fall!!!
Crowd: ONE FALL!!!
(“The Entertainer” by Scott Joplin hits as Miles Thatcher makes his entrance)
Maria: Introducing first, making his way to the ring from Bristol, United Kingdom, weighing in at 240 pounds… MIIIIIIILLLLEEEESS TTTTHHHAAATTCCHHEETRR!!!!!
Ben: Miles has shown some promise here last week but he’s the one testing the newcomer tonight!
Clark: It’s gonna be interesting to see how the old school handles this match!
(“Sleep Apnea” by Chevelle hits as Kaiva Santos makes her way to the Battleground ring for the first time)
Maria: And his opponent, making her way to the ring from São Paulo, Brazil by way of Chicago, Illinois, weighing in at 128 pounds… KAAAAAIIIVVAAAAA SSSSAAAAANNNTTTOOSSS!!!!
Clark: This young woman is a generational performer following in the footsteps of her father.
Ben: She’s a dangerous tactician who’s been trained for the ring effectively since birth! We’ll have to see how she takes care of things tonight!
(Ding! Ding! Ding!)
Clark: The two move to the center of the ring and go to lock up! Miles starts by using his size advantage to push Kaiva back… BUT KAIVA SLIDES UNDERNEATH AND BETWEEN HIS LEGS! SHE PULLED MILES AND HE GOES CRASHING INTO THE CORNER! Miles a little stunned! He turns around… KS KICK!!!
Ben: That high roundhouse drops miles to the ground! He’s already looking glazed over! Kaiva Santos doesn’t hold back! Miles is trying to get up and Kaiva seems to like what she sees! She climbs quick to the top rope! She watches and stalks! Miles is finally up to his feet but doesn’t see AS KAIVA LEAPS! DEVIL’S DEVASTATION! THE ECLIPSE STUNNER FROM THE TOP ROPE!!! KAIVA MAKES THE PIN!!!!!
ONNNEEEEE!!!
TWWWWWWWOOOOOOO!!!!!
TTHHHHRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!
(Ding! Ding! Ding!)
Maria: Here is your winner…. KAAAIIIIVVAAA SSSSAANNNTTOOOSSS!!!
(“Sleep Apnea” hits as Kaiva has her hand raised and she looks around with a confident smirk)
Ben: I don’t think Kaiva ever had a question in her mind about this match!
Clark: An impressive debut! Kaiva Santos puts the entire locker room on notice with this statement tonight! Is anyone ready to dance with the Devil’s Daughter?
(Commercial animal rights featuring Cody Marshall and Steroid Dawg)
Maria Del Rey: The following contest is scheduled for ONE FALL!
Crowd: ONE FALL!!!
The lights go down, leaving the arena in almost complete darkness. “It Had To Be This Way” by Jamie Christopherson blares through the arena public announce system a few seconds later.
Maria Del Rey: Introducing first from AUCKLAND, NEW ZEALAND!!!….HE WEIGHS IN AT TWO HUNDRED AND THIRTY POUNDS….CADEN WALKER!!!
Caden is shown staring down at the ring with an indifferent expression that never changes. The fan reaction is a negative one, and it fazes him no more or less than seemingly anything else as he makes his way to the ring.
Knight: Here comes Caden Walker! He’s young! He’s got the agility, the strength, the intelligence, and experience to go as far as he wants to go! I have no doubts he’s going to make a big splash!
Ruggiero: He is no doubt one of Battleground’s biggest acquisition of the season, and he will have plenty of opportunities to come to not only show just that, but also the heart and tenacity it takes to excel at this level!
(Walker is in the ring, stoic as ever as he awaits his opponent.)
“Mein Hertz Brennt” by Rammstein replaces “It Had To Be This Way”, as the fans jeer as Xavier Arnold walks out from beyond the curtains. Arnold taunts a bit walking down the ramp.
Maria Del Rey: Introducing next from NEWARK, NEW JERSEY…HE WEIGHS IN AT TWO HUNDRED AND NINETEEN POUNDS!!!!…THIS IS “THE ARTIST OF SUFFERING”….LADIES AND GENTLEMEN…THIS IS XAVIER ARNOLD!!!!
Knight: THE RHINE RIVER is here, Ruggs, and he’s ready to go! He’s been one of the better up coming talents that we’ve had this season coming to Battleground! Let’s see what he can do with this opportunity!
Arnold enters through the ropes and is now in the ring joining Caden Walker and Jack Haze who had been introduced during our last commercial break from action. All three men staring at the other from opposite corners now as the referee is preparing to signal for the beginning of the match, then he does.
(DING! DING! DING!)
Knight: Each competitor begins teeing off on the other in an all out melee pier six brawl type style! There’s chaos already as Jack Haze is double powerbombed by Caden and Arnold out of the ring to the floor! That had to hurt! Probably won’t see Haze for a good while now after that devastating double team maneuver! Both Caden and Xavier Arnold begin circling the ring staring each other down as they do so. Both now cautiously move in on each other into a collar and elbow tie up. It’s the Xavier Arnold that takes the early advantage in this exchange with a side headlock to Caden Walker! It’s Arnold that shoves Walker forward toward the ropes, Walker coming back with a Baseball slide evasion to a surprised Arnold! Arnold swings a back elbow, but Caden ducks the elbow and grabs Arnold into a headlock takedown to the mat, but Arnold instinctively wiggles himself free escaping the early predicament by Caden Walker! Both men back on their feet now back in ready a stance! Arnold runs a hand through to the back of his head and both men start circling the ring again. Both men start to move in on each other again, but CADEN TAKES THE BAIT, HE STEPS BACK AFTER THAT EYE POKE BY ARNOLD! He sure didn’t see that coming! ARNOLD GOES FOR THE CUTTER, BUT NO CADEN ANSWERS QUICKLY WITH AN ARM DRAG THAT TAKES ARNOLD OFF HIS FEET! CADEN GOES FOR A PELE KICK, BUT HE DUCKS THE ATTACK! ARNOLD GOING FOR THE CLOTHESLINE! NO! CADEN HAS IT WELL SCOUTED WITH ANOTHER PELE KICK TO THE ARM THIS TIME THAT CONNECTS! STAGGERS BACK! HE’S TAKEN ABACK A BIT HERE, BUT HERE COMES CADEN! AGAIN WITH A SUPERKICK! NO! ARNOLD CATCHES THE FOOT, SWINGS ANOTHER CORNER AROUND AND THIS TIME CONNECTS WITH A THUNDEROUS CLOTHESLINE THAT SENDS CADEN DOWN THE CANVAS HARD! HOLDS THE BACK OF HIS HEAD DUE TO THE IMPACT! GOES FOR THE COVER!
ONNNNEEEE!
TWWWOOOO!
KICKOUT!!!
Ruggiero: But Haze slips in just in a nick of time to break the count! Haze is not done after all, seemingly suspecting he wasn’t going to get a victory there! Arnold now back in the mix from behind attacks Haze! BUT IT’S CADEN WALKER WHO GRABS AHOLD OF ARNOLD AND SENDS HIM THROUGH THE ROPES TO THE OUTSIDE NOW! Caden Walker now understanding that he needs to capitalize on the opportunity that he’s created for himself TAKES ARNOLD DOWN WITH A SPRINGBOARD DROPKICK! ARNOLD HOLDS HIS FACE NOW! CADEN NOW LAYING INTO ARNOLD WITH THOSE BIG MASSIVE BOOTS TO THE LOWER STERNUM AND MIDSECTION OF ARNOLD! ARNOLD IN ALL SORTS OF TROUBLE FROM THAT POSITION! Caden looking out at the crowd now with a smirk as he nods his head reassuringly as he goes to pick up Arnold now. Caden with the knee drop to the back of Arnold! AND ANOTHER, AND ANOTHER! Caden is back in firm control now as he grabs up the weakened Xavier Arnold. Now Caden places Arnold’s head between his legs for the POP UP POWERBOMB! AND CADEN SIGNALS TO THE CROWD WITH A CUTTHROAT SIGN THAT THE END IS NEAR! Caden goes for a rather nonchalant arrogant attempt at a pin without hooking the leg.
ONE!!!
TWO!!!
KICKOUT!!!
Ruggerio: ARNOLD kicks out, but you can see the strategy here, Ben! Wear the man out as much as possible and then go for the kill! Caden now places Arnold in a grounded sleeper hold. Arnold gasping for air, doing all he can to stay in this. You can see the game plan perfectly here, Ben. It’s not going to get a lot of style points, but it’s effective and that’s all that counts to this man! The referee once again checking with Arnold whose once again ignoring the referee, trying to break this hold, get out of this predicament. HAZE NOW STOMPS THE HEAD OF CADEN WHO RELEASES ARNOLD! Now Caden sits up to DELIVER A HARD KNEE TO THE MIDSECTION OF HAZE! AND ANOTHER! CADEN JUST LAYING THAT KNEE HARD INTO THE GUT! CADEN RUNS TO THE ROPES! COMING BACK NOW HAZE DUCKS UNDER A SIDE KICK BY CADEN! MONA LISA TO CADENI! THE RAINMAKER! THIS COULD BE IT CADEN IS DOWN! HAZE WITH THE COVER!

HE’S STILL TRYING TO RISE BACK TO HIS FEET, BUT HAZE COMES BACK WITH THE PENALTY KICK AND THIS TIME CADEN GOES BACK DOWN FOLLOWED BY A FOREARM TO THE MIDSECTION OF CADEN! DOUBLES OVER TO HIS FRONT SIDE NOW HOLDING HIS CHEST IN AGONY AS CONTINUES THE ATTACK WITH A RIGHT TO THE FACE OF ARNOLD! ARNOLD WITH ANOTHER COVER ON CADEN!

(“It Had To Be This Way” by Jamie Christopherson picks back up as the referee raises Caden’s arm only for him to yank it away and roll out of the ring.)
Maria Del Rey: Here is your winner……CADEN WALKER!!!!
Knight: What A MATCH, RUGGS!!! All three men laying it all on the line in this one! What a sea-saw battle, back and forth it went! None of these men wanted to lose this one, but in Caden Walkers third Battleground match he comes away with another victory this week.
Ruggiero: Indeed, Ben, it was an intense match up right from the start! All three men showing the determination that it takes to get to the main roster. They brawled, they wrestled, they fought tooth and nail until one could finally land the knock out blow, and as you said that man was Caden Walker, who as mentioned earlier was sending a clear message to the rest of the Battleground locker room, that he’s someone that’s going to be a force to be reckoned with!
Commercial
(“Your Betrayal” — Bullet for My Valentine plays the crowd instantly reacts in boos as Eric Crane comes out with a serious and intimidating expression on his face. He is looking around the sea of fans booing at him as he goes down the ramp and into the ring.)
Maria Del Rey: The following match is scheduled for ONE FALL–
Crowd: ONE FALL!!
Maria Del Rey: Introducing first, from Long Island, New York, he is “The Possessed”, ERIC CRAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNEEEEEEE!!
Ben Knight: Eric Crane has been on a mission to get the EAW Universe to notice him! A victory over a former Specialists Champion in Remi McQueen could be the one thing he needs to put him on notice with the locker room. Last week, he wasn’t so successful against Osiris as the two of them found themselves in a double countout!
Clark Ruggiero: Eric Crane is hungry! He is vicious and the more that he finds things not going his way, the more is going to piss him off! If he’s pissed already, Remi McQueen is in serious trouble at the moment! This is a man who thrives and loves anything revolving around violence. He loves nothing more than tearing the flesh of his opponents. Remi is going to need to bring her A-game if she stands a chance of defeat him!
(“Fuel” — Metallica plays as the crowd stands up for Remi McQueen who is staring at Eric Crane with serious and deadly look on her face. Eric Crane is demanding her to get inside the ring as Remi walks down the ramp.)
Maria Del Rey: Introducing her opponent, representing The Pride, from Somerset, Kentucky, she is “The ScareCrowe” REEEEEEEEMMMMMMIIIIIIIII MCCCQUEEEEEEEEENNNNNNNN!!!
Clark Ruggiero: This is one woman who’s had everything ripped away from her in the span of a couple of weeks. Her wife has a snapped neck, she lost her Specialists Championship and her stable, The Pride is falling apart. On top of that, Remi has had quite a difficult time with trying to contain her rage. It could implode in this ring, if she is not managing it correctly!
Ben Knight: Everyone talks about not wanting to be in the same ring as Eric Crane, but I don’t think anyone would want to be in Remi’s way! This is one pissed off woman!
(Ding! Ding! Ding!)
Clark Ruggiero: Eric Crane vs. Remi McQueen is underway! Ben, this is an interesting match up between two individuals who are intimidating in their own ways! Remi is a former Specialists Champion and Eric Crane is an upstarter who would love to break out of Battleground and get into Dynasty, Voltage or Showdown! The two intimidating individuals lock up, but Eric manages to shove Remi to the ground. Remi looked a little stun as she shakes her head before getting herself up to her feet. Remi looks directly at Eric, who is looking back at her with a serious and cold look on his face. Remi shoves Eric back, but Eric battering rams Remi to one of the corners. There, he connects with a series of shoulder thrusts to Remi’s stomach! Remi is trying to throw some punches onto Eric’s back, but the referee manages to separate Eric from Remi. Remi is seen holding onto her stomach as Eric has not left that serious and calculated look from his face leave as Remi approaches closer to him. Remi wraps her arms around his waist, but Eric is above to wrap on of his arms around Remi’s neck and connect with a headlock take down!
Ben Knight: Eric Crane begins to mount some fists on the top of Remi McQueen’s head! He is looking to turn his luck around by defeating Remi! Eric gets to one knee as he maintains the headlock on the former Specialists Champion! Remi is trying to push Eric to his side, but Eric maintains control and is not moving one bit! Remi is trying to rise back to her feet and out of the headlock, but she is finding herself to have a tough time with that! Eric sees that Remi was doing and applies even more pressure onto the headlock before taking her down harshly and staying there for the cover!
Referee: OOOOOONE!!
Clark Ruggiero: Remi McQueen kicks out quickly! There is no way that she was going to end this match so quickly! Eric is shaking his head as he picks up the woman by a fistfull of hair and smashing her against the corner face first! Over and over again, Eric Crane is bashing Remi McQueen’s head against the turnbuckle! He continues to do so as it can be seen that he is going more rapid, almost like he was deranged man. Eric releases Remi’s head and takes a step forward. Remi uses that small window of time to turn herself around, so that her back is resting against the corner. Eric takes a few steps back before he wastes no time and connects with a dangerous big boot to Remi in the corner! Remi slides down the corner before Eric approaches Remi and presses his foot against Remi’s throat! Remi is seen struggling to get some air to her lungs as the official begins his count!
Referee: ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! FIVE! THAT’S ENOUGH, ERIC!
Ben Knight: Eric Crane lets go. He does not want to risk losing the match and not get any points across the board. Remi is seen holding her throat and coughing some air back to her lungs. Eric is standing there as he waits for Remi to get back to her feet. The moment Remi gets to her two feet, Eric goes after her with a series of punches to her stomach! Eric does not want to wait any longer! He wants to prove to everyone that he can win and he is one of the standouts that people should be paying attention too. Eric spins around and connects with a back kick before bouncing from the ropes and connecting with a dropkick that sends Remi to the ropes! Remi holds onto the ropes before Eric takes a step back before running and connecting with a dropkick onto Remi’s stomach! Remi goes forward as Eric connects with a superkick as that sends Remi to the ground! Eric goes for the cover on Remi!
Referee: OOOOOONE!! TWOOOOOO!!
Clark Ruggiero: Remi McQueen kicks out again! Eric Crane is not a happy camper in the moment and it seems like he is going to continue taking that anger out on Remi! Remi has not been looking good in this match! It could be because she is facing an opponent who is stronger than her, but Remi is going to need to find that opening in order to make a come back in the match! Eric grabs Remi by her hair again and gets her back up, but Remi swings a fist at Eric’s jaw that rocks him back a bit, but does not make him let go of the hair. Remi swings another fists to Eric’s jaw as that was enough to make Eric let go of Remi’s hair! Using all of her strength, Remi manages to take down Eric before connecting with a series of punches to his face! Remi is unloading on Eric as Eric is trying his best to block the hits, but Remi is getting each shot in! Remi McQueen gets back up as Eric tries to use the assistance of the ropes to get himself back up! Not wasting any time, Remi connects with Bas Kick, the liver kick on Eric Crane, who bends down in response. Remi bounces from the ropes and connects with a knee strike as that sends Eric to a seated position and bouncing to the ropes! Remi takes a few steps back. She has a sneaky look on her face before running and connecting with Wolfesbane to Eric Crane! Eric’s face goes back as Remi takes a step back before going for another Wolfesbane! No! Eric manages to fall to the side as Remi gets her foot stuck in between the ropes!
Ben Knight: Eric Crane connects with a leg sweep as Remi McQueen falls onto her back! Eric Crane begins to mount some elbows to Remi’s face, but Remi manages to stop Eric’s elbow mid attack and using her strength to throw him to his back. Right away, Remi begins to mount some elbows to Eric’s face! This is almost getting revenge for what he did to her moments ago! Remi does not want to stop the momentum that she had recently gained. She wants to prove that it was not taken away quickly from her! Remi gets Eric up, almost with a look of frustration before whipping him to one of the corners! Eric catches himself in one of the corners, but Remi runs and connects with a flying forearm, but Eric manages to move himself out of the way and behind Remi. Remi connects with a back elbow as Eric holds his face before Remi gets on the top turnbuckle and connects with a dropkick! The dropkick was enough to drop Eric as Remi slowly gets to her feet again! Remi is trying to pick up Eric! It seems like Remi McQueen is going for a Psycho Crusher, but it seems like Eric Crane might be too much for her to carry!
Clark Ruggiero: Eric manages to slide right behind her! Remi turns around to a spinning heel kick by Eric Crane! Eric has a sinister and deadly look on his face as it looks like he is symbolizing for the end of this match! He picks up Remi! It looks like Eric is going to go for a Blade Runner! No! Remi manages to roll out of the way! Eric turns around and Remi with a Wolfesbane! Eric goes back as Remi grabs him and connects with the Flash Kick, the Riot Kick! Remi goes for the cover!
Referee: OOOOOONE!! TWOOOOOOO!!
Ben Knight: Eric Crane with his foot on the bottom rope!
Referee: THREEEEEEEE!!
Clark Ruggiero: The official didn’t see it! The match is over!
(Ding! Ding! Ding!)
(“Fuel” plays back up as Remi McQueen gets on her knees. Eric Crane rolls himself out of the ring and onto ringside. This leaves Remi to stand up and get her arm raised by the official.)
Maria Del Rey: The winner of this match, REEEEEEEEMMMMMMIIIIIIII MCCCCQUUUUEEEEEEENNNNNNN!!!
Ben Knight: Eric Crane had his foot in the bottom rope! How in the world did the official not see that? Eric was screwed out of this victory and had this match went on, we could have saw a different person have their arm raised in the end!
Clark Ruggiero: Remi McQueen is the one woman with her arm raised in the end! She managed to pull herself together till the end and make sure that she won the match! However, you are right, Ben, Eric did have his foot on the bottom rope and by the look on his face, he is not happy with the result one bit!
(Eric Crane is pacing himself ringside in anger. He is frustrated with letting another victory pass him by as he is trying to argue with the official while outside the ring about his foot being on the bottom rope.)
(Commercial break.)
(The camera cuts to Maria Del Rey in the ring.)
Maria Del Rey: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and is your main event of the evening!!!
(“All Star” by Smash Mouth hits to booing from the crowd as Harlow Reichert makes her way down to the ring.)

Knight: Reichmania is running wild! Wait that one doesn’t work so well…
(“4th Dimension” by Kids See Ghosts ft. Louis Prima hits to a silent reaction as Lars Grier comes out looking bored and like he doesn’t care about this match or Battleground at all.)
Ruggiero: Damn Lars is taking his loss of the Openweight Championship real well. You can tell he is very motivated to compete here in EAW and make a strong comeback after that L.
Maria Del Rey: And her opponent residing in Stone Mountain, Kauai weighing in at 265 pounds… “THE FALLEN” LARS GRIER!!!
Knight: Lars Grier was demoted to Battleground from Dynasty after his upset loss to Kevin Hunter. But it doesn’t look like he wants to be here at all. Sad!
(Lars Grier enters the ring as he lies down in the corner to take a nap.)
Ruggiero: What the fuck?
Knight: Be quiet! He’s trying to sleep!
(DING! DING! DING!)
Ruggiero: We are underway as Harlow Reichert looks confused wondering if this is actually some sort of ingenious strategy being used by Lars Grier to lure her in! Could Ms. No Fucks Given actually be giving a few fucks this week?
Knight: Absolutely not. I don’t even see how that would be possible…
(Lars Grier begins snoring as he continues to sleep in the ring. Harlow continues to look confused as she paces around the ring frantically.)
Ruggiero: It looks like Lars Grier is really getting into Harlow’s head here tonight! Absolutely stunning tactic here tonight by the former Openweight Champion! She literally has no idea how to approach this!
(The referee checks on Lars Grier who wakes up with an angry look on his face and begins yelling at the referee to leave him alone.)
Knight: Lars Grier getting a little too violent here tonight! He better watch out so he doesn’t get himself disqualified!
Ruggiero: Harlow Reichert now laughing as she shoves past the referee to grab onto Lars Grier and pulls him up! But Lars sandbags her! Reichert using all her strength to pull the big man Lars up!!!
Knight: NO! LARS COUNTERED! LARS FALLS FORWARD KNOCKING REICHERT OVER!
Ruggiero: Lars collapses down onto Reichert in the ring as he rests his head up against her lap! BAH GAWD ALMIGHTY LARS HAS TURNED THE TIDE!!!
Knight: Harlow Reichert looking absolutely appalled as Lars nuzzles up against her and continues to sleep as a happy smile forms across his tired face!
Ruggiero: Harlow trying to push Lars away! Trying to break the hold! Can she escape!
Knight: But Lars just snuggles in even further as he rests his head against her chest! Is this sexual assault?
Ruggiero: We are going to need to give you the training again aren’t we?
Knight: Lars sleeping up against Harlow’s chest as she collapses over onto the mat! HER SHOULDERS ARE DOWN! THE COVER!!!
ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
TWO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ruggiero: But Harlow Reichert somehow grabs onto the ropes! I literally have no idea how she escaped that but the referee is now forcing Lars Grier off of Harlow!
Knight: Lars collapses face first in the ring unconscious as a pool of saliva forms around his mouth. He is completely out! Harlow back up on her feet now looking to finish things once and for all! Harlow climbs to the top! WELP LETS SEE HOW THIS GOES CONNECTS! WHAT THE HELL SHE JUST WOKE LARS UP?
(The crowd boos Harlow angrily for waking him when he looked so comfortable.)
Ruggiero: THE COVER!!!

(DING! DING! DING!)
Maria Del Rey: Here is your winner… HARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRLOW REICHERT!!!
(“All Star” by Smash Mouth blasts noisily across the speakers as the referee hands Lars Grier a pillow to cover up his ears and block out the sound.)
Knight: Harlow Reichert with a hard fought victory here tonight! She overcame Lars Grier’s unique tactics in order to pull out a huge win! Harlow just defeated the former Openweight Champion! What a huge win!
Ruggiero: Absolutely stunning upset here tonight! Now let’s quiet down and shut the lights off. This man needs some time off. He needs to rest.
(Security instructs the crowd to quiet down as the lights are dimmed and lullaby music begins to play.)
Knight: Good night sweet baby <3
