(EAW intro plays.)
(The camera opens up to show a brief recap of the EAW Hall of Fame red carpet that took place just before this, with shots of various Elitists arriving and having their photos taken along with being interviewed shown. We then go over to a shot of the Gaylord Opryland Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee. There’s an area reserved for the ceremony with guardrails secluding the fans that have come to watch to the various Elitists who have also arrived. After a while an announcer is heard booming through the speakers.)
Announcer: Ladies and gentlemen, we welcome you all… to the 2023 HALL OF FAME CEREMONY!!!
(The crowd erupts into cheers before the announcer continues.)
Announcer: Please welcome this year’s Hall of Fame host, ONE-THIRD OF THE VOLTAGE COMMENTARY TEAM, PERSEPHONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(The camera goes over to Persephone, who is already standing by at the podium. She looks around awkwardly, twiddling her fingers, before slowly leaning forward, turning the microphone and speaking.)
Persephone: Um…
(Persephone remains silent for a few seconds, before looking away from the stage.)
Persephone: (whispering) Why am I here? Is Rex getting another induction tonight?
(A staff member shakes their head.)
Persephone: Oh.
(Persephone turns back to the crowd before putting a smile on her face.)
Persephone: That’s okay, I’m sure everyone else getting inducted tonight is almost as deserving. I know we all love the Hall of Fame and last year had some… Very great inductions! I am definitely happy for everyone that managed to make it into the Hall of Fame last year, and this year will probably not be any different. To make it to the Hall of Fame you have to have accomplished so much. You had to have such a great career, almost as great as Rex McAllister’s is! That’s definitely not an easy feat, but somehow various Elitists this year managed to add their names to the list of people almost as great as him! Season 16 was really an exciting year. We had new Champions, Rexy’s return, amazing matches, Rexy’s return, and my… Favorite… Part of it all, Disney’s presence being felt throughout the season. Great season… Right guys 🙂?
(The fans cheer loudly.)
Persephone: Well, there’s no point in wasting any time. I’m sure you all have been waiting all day for this moment, so we might as well get to what you’re all here for. You’re all here to see who has joined the 2023 Hall of Fame, and added their name to the same history books that Rex McAllister managed to join back in 2020! The Hall of Fame is a really fun time of the year and this year will definitely be no exception to that. There’s a lot planned for tonight, and right now we have the first inductee ready for you!
(We see Jake Smith in a confessional.)
Jake Smith: I’m sure you’re going to hear a lot of “I wasn’t around for your work, but…” type of confessionals, and I’m not going to sugarcoat it, this is going to be one of them. But the fact that you’re being inducted into the EAW Hall of Fame in recognition of your hard work tells a lot. I’ve heard a lot of the nice words that people have said to you and I hear the legacy that you’ve left which is still remembered to this day, and that tells me all I need to know.
Jake Smith: While it’s nice and all to have people that I’m closely acquainted with being inducted because it allows me to speak on a more personal level, at the same time, I’m glad that we also get the opportunity to recognize the people that made this e-fed what it is currently, no matter if they’re still around or not. So congratulations on being inducted into the Hall of Fame, if there is anybody that deserves it, it’s you.
(Kassidy Heart appears in the confessional.)
Kassidy Heart: Of course I wasn’t around to see you in your prime, or to even enjoy any of the things you brought to the table. However, that doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy the past and respect the people who paved the way for others in EAW. Efeds have changed a lot over the years, and since I am speaking tonight on a strictly OOC level, I have been playing this game on and off for a while. Good ole, MSN.
Kassidy Heart: MSN is the community I came from, which was I guess like Yahoo for you guys, and if Yahoo was anything like MSN, it was a cutthroat world, lol. Banks was telling me how things worked back then and how your popularity was the equivalent of what we call indy darlings now, lol. I found that impressive because in a game like this, it’s easy to form friendships, but it’s just as easy to have legitimate adversaries. People get wrapped up in this kind of thing. They tend to dislike or root against people who win more than they do, so I think it says a lot about you that you had so many people behind you.
Kassidy Heart: I think one of the things that we, as efedders, crave is the respect of our peers and you clearly had that. In fact, you still do. That’s why even now you’re being recognized and thanked for all the work you put in back then. Double world champ, popular community member, and just an overall enjoyable presence is how you were described to me, and as a board member, that more than makes you worthy of our Hall of Fame. Congratulations on receiving this accolade, and I wish you nothing but the absolute best.
(TLA is shown sitting in the confessional on his laptop.)
TLA: Oh fuck yeah Yahoo Answers is back bitches! You know I be logging in. Got my account with the cute lil avatar homie. We back in business now it’s time for me to flex on these haters. Got all the best questions n shit. You know I am a Top Contributor up in here ain’t nobody going to stop me none. They say that this Superior Quality 85 guy is the top ranked member on the Wrestling Section. But we will see about that! Let’s see how people like this!
(TLA is shown responding to a large number of questions with Chris Benoit’s TitanTron. It appears that the trolls on the site appreciate what he is doing because they have gathered together to vote him best answer on every question, even the ones where it didn’t make sense to post.)
TLA: Eat that Superior Quality 85. You Hall of Fame bastard. I’m taking over the Wrestling Section and you can’t stop me! :blessed: !
(TLA is shown looking on in horror as the Yahoo Answers site shuts down again ruining all his hard work and the confessional ends.)
(Cameron Ella Ava is seen in the confessionals.)
Cameron Ella Ava: So, my CTE prevents me from remembering anything around the period of time that I debuted in EAW. When I do, it’s always some of the weirdest and most irrelevant things. I remember playing second fiddle in a feud with Superior Quality 85 and that abusive alcoholic ex-boyfriend of mine. I think SQ ended up kissing me at some point and then that potato famine-looking bitch got upset and led to the demise of the relationship in the script that I was overjoyed about. In a sense, I thank SQ for contributing to that.
Cameron Ella Ava: I expect nothing less from the Yahoo Answers Wrestling Section king who ended up taking down The Dragon for that brief period of time. It was truly an honor to have faced him at some point during that whole thing and for someone else to acknowledge that I was truly the goat. It’s nice to see someone else who was around that period of time getting inducted. Nothing, but deserved from the absolute best. Congrats, SQ!
(We see Ronn Banks in a confessional.)
Ronn Banks: Shoutout to SQ on this much deserved induction. It’s very long overdue but no less special regardless. I have a lot of fond memories of battles with SQ in shows, on the promo page, and also being somebody behind his booking at the time. I knew SQ back then had something special that made him standout and he brought in a very unique dynamic. Obviously as everybody(at least everybody who was around at the time) knows, he isn’t an EAW-exclusive or EAW-original guy, he made his way around and had a name so to speak prior to entering EAW. As THE top contributor on Yahoo! Answers Wrestling Section, which was a huge deal you were basically like the top guy in our community with that honor. Combine that with being a top guy in other feds like CWF, LEGION etc. he was pretty much him.
Ronn Banks: I like to liken him as being EAW’s “indy darling” of the time. So when he did make the jump to EAW he delivered on the hype and had a great run becoming New Breed Champion, Interwire Champion, Cash in the Vault 2011 winner, and eventually EAW Champion. While simultaneously being world champion in two other top feds in our circle might I add. But ye congrats goat, better late than never!
(The Hall of Fame reopens back to the stage.)
Announcer: Here to induct Superior Quality 85 into the Hall of Fame, please welcome… Heart Break Boy!
(‘Way 2 Sexy’ by Drake, Young Thug & Future is heard playing through the speakers as the crowd erupts into cheers for Heart Break Boy, who makes his way out to the stage. He has a smile on his face as he waves to the crowd before then beginning to make his way up to the podium. He straightens the suit that he has on before clearing his throat, his theme fading out before then beginning to speak.)
Heart Break Boy: It’s been a minute, EAW. I’m so thrilled and excited to be right back here in front of you and even more honored to induct Superior Quality 85.
Heart Break Boy: Some people may not know a lot about SQ, but I’ve had the privilege to go against this man in multiple companies. We first met back in CWF/LEGION, where most people jokingly referred to as a “retirement home,” for efedders. And when I first saw his work, I was appalled about how good he was. SQ didn’t need to create super long promos to get his point across. He was a straight-forward kinda guy, but it was so good and entertaining at the same time. Not many people can keep your attention with short promos but SQ85 was one of those guys that topped that list.
Heart Break Boy: SQ85 was also one of the very few people that came over from CWF/LEGION to have experienced some success in EAW. I can only name Carlos, Lioncross and GI being among that group of people. But out of all of them, only SQ85 was able to maintain his consistency and not to mention being a very chill dude that always came out of nowhere to crack a joke. SQ85 is a very humbled guy… He is a guy that never really cared about being the very best in the company because he already knew how talented he was. He was still very competitive and every time we squared off against each-other, there was always a great war of words.
Heart Break Boy: I hope SQ85 realizes how much he has influenced others back in the day to come over to the EAW and enjoy this thing. Because many people were stubborn or just flat out didn’t want to be involved with the company because they were intimidated how much better EAW was to them. SQ85 showed that he did not care about the politics or all the rumors. He decided to give EAW a shot and now look at him…
Heart Break Boy: Another thing that I always liked about SQ85 was that he was always available. You never needed to find him or ask anyone where he was because he was always there. I could ask him for any advice, whether it had anything to do with promos or just talking about wrestling. When it comes down to this business or outside this business, SQ85 was one of the more knowledgeable people.
Heart Break Boy: He’s just a person you would love to hang around because he challenges you mentally. And that’s what it’s all about in this world we live in, we need to be around people that will help us grow, regardless of the time you’ve spent. We can even look at SQ’s accomplishments… He is a former EAW World Champion, one of the best Interwire Champions in our history… One of the best New Breed Champions and now he can add one more accomplishment to that list.
Heart Break Boy: So, without further ado, please welcome to the 2023 Hall of Fame…. Superior Quality 85!
(‘Failure’ by Breaking Benjamin is heard playing with the camera then going over to show Superior Quality 85 making his way out, the crowd erupting into cheers and applause for him. He makes his way over to the podium, shaking the hand of Heart Break Boy, both of them exchanging smiles and a few words, before he takes center stage. His theme begins to come to a close as he scans around, taking a deep breath before speaking.)
Superior Quality 85: This is a real blast from the past, isn’t it? Wow, this is surreal. To think it has come to this and I was invited to be part of the 2023 EAW Hall of Fame.
Superior Quality 85: When you get the call to be a part of history, at first, I was trembling. Tears filled my eyes and I was being acknowledged for my contribution to efedding and I want to include my connections to past efeds such as my first efed, NAW, back in 2009, 14 years ago. From there, I branched out – CWF then which became ACWF, LEGION, IEW, some Yahoo Answers efeds, others I can’t remember, it was that long ago.
Superior Quality 85: One time, for exactly 1 week, I was CWF World Heavyweight
Champion, LEGION World Heavyweight Champion and EAW Champion simultaneously and you don’t get there being an afterthought. I truly believed what led me to the height that I got to was simply being the fucking best that I could be.
Superior Quality 85: I never thought I would have friends from a bygone era but some people stay in your heart even if you haven’t spoken to them for a long time. I remember conversations with greats such as MN Heat, Mudgamer, The Dragon, KING KJORS, Bottomline, Lioncross, Donovan T, CM Banks, the list goes on, all those truly wonderful and cool fuckers I worked with…… if it wasn’t for them, there wouldn’t be a Superior Quality 85.
Superior Quality 85: Starting out, I was shy, didn’t want to be that forward, letting people say ‘hey SQ’ and then I would respond ‘hey you’ because I couldn’t remember who the fuck just said ‘hey SQ’ but, afterwards, started to come out of my shell, get more involved, got better each and every day and became champion. A former EAW New Breed, Interwire and then EAW Champion. A quick dive into my past and I think I was a World Champion in, at least, 9 different promotions.
Superior Quality 85: I was truly blessed with what I could do and it was during a war I had in CWF with a man called American Dragon who, to many people, was and is considered one of the best of all time. It was during that feud where I was starting to get noticed and people were going ‘this guy’s good’. I was producing banger after banger against AmDrag and we were both producing gold and I was getting confidence. Confidence to where people thought I was funny. I remember chats where the ad break would start and I would go ‘Subway. Eat fresh.’ I grew in stature and in ego because I knew I wanted to become a World Champion.
Superior Quality 85: To those who I said before, what can I say? To be real, I loved chatting to everyone, old, young, probably some have retired or just don’t do it anymore. 14 years old to 60 years old, I was convinced The Dragon was, at least, IN his sixties when we talked in those rare chats. Whether it was about the state of wrestling at the time, football, doing the live events, reacting, I loved it all. At times, overwhelming but I liked the pressure. Pressure makes diamonds and I was shitting out diamonds every single day.
Superior Quality 85: To those guys and gals from yesteryear and to everyone today, I say this – take it in, be grateful and stay true to yourself. My time in EAW was filled with fantastic attitudes, wonderful people and gifted individuals. You know who you are and if I ever graced you with my presence, I wanna say thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Superior Quality 85: Just thinking about you guys makes me humbled and ever more thankful to have known you. From all corners of America, UK, Australia, I was blessed to have known and talked with you in the years I was a part of this. This was a crazy part of my life and I wouldn’t trade it for anything, you mad, cool fuckers.
Superior Quality 85: Keep on doing what you do and go insane. EAW will live on for eternity in my heart. That was the pinnacle of my career and to have cracked it here, that made my career and that resonates with me and I can only go out with a phrase that I nearly always ended my promos with and will live with me until the day I die –
Superior Quality 85: Superior by force, quality at its very best! Thank you, EAW!
(‘Failure’ begins to play again as Superior Quality 85 puts a fist in the air once he’s done speaking, the crowd continuing to show their support for the newly inducted Hall of Famer. He has a warm smile on his face thanks to the heartfelt welcome, before then beginning to take his leave from there.)
Persephone: Wow. What a great speech by Superior Quality 85, definitely a fan of him. I’m sure everyone here was around to see his many accomplishments and amazing career moments! That was a really good first induction for Superior Quality 85, but we’re nowhere near done for the night! We have even more inductions planned for you all, which makes me a bit surprised Rex isn’t getting inducted again tonight. That’s besides the point though, we don’t need to wait around knowing that you’re all so excited to see all of the other faces being inducted tonight. So let’s just keep this going, and get right to the second Elitist to make it into 2023’s Hall of Fame!
(The camera cuts to TLA in a confessional rustling through a stack of papers.)
TLA: Yoyoyo we out here today to give a shoutout to the homie Ahren. You know he a real one and it’s all about that luv n shit he got all that talent. Much deserving of that Hall of Fame.
(The door to the confessional opens as someone enters and whispers something into TLA’s ear.)
TLA: You know that we gotta give a shoutout to the homie Jesse Barlow. I never thought that he’d make it to the Hall of Fame but here he is. Right all up in the Hall of Fame. You know it makes a lot of sense that he is inducted the same year as Sienna Jade given his last promo.
(TLA holds up one of the papers to the camera.)
TLA: https://files.catbox.moe/px1dma.png
(Suddenly someone else enters the confessional and snatches the paper away before whispering something else into TLA’s ear.)
TLA: What the fuck. Jack Ripley? Really? That’s who we are inducting? Ay dios mio…
(TLA sighs as he tears up all the papers.)
TLA: Well congratulations Jack. I guess you a Hall of Famer n shit. Congrats homie.
(TLA looks around awkwardly before leaving the confessional and it ends.)
(We see Jake Smith in a confessional.)
Jake Smith: I think it goes without saying that you’ve worked very hard to get an honor like this, Jack. You and I aren’t the closest of friends, aside from promos the only times that I’ve talked to you outside of the forum are the rare dms and chat appearances, but having witnessed the journey for not just the Jack Ripley character but Ahren, Miku, even Jesse has told me all I need to know. It goes without saying that you dedicate a lot to this e-fed and that is something that never goes unrecognized.
Jake Smith: From the highs to the lows, you’ve always had a uniqueness about you that helps you stand out from the crowd. Whether that be the antics that the Ripley character gets into, or the promos that you put out week-by-week that are always a joy to read. Your presence is felt in this company and it goes without saying that it was only a matter of time that we were here tonight talking about it. This is your moment, enjoy it, and congratulations my friend.
(Drake King is seen in a confessional.)
Drake King: Jack Ripley is a beyond talented writer, and the fact that this isn’t even the first character of his to make it into the Hall of Fame really speaks for itself. It’s not often that you see anyone accomplish this, which makes it really special that two people did this year, but if there’s anyone that was capable of reaching this feat it’s you, Jack. There’s not many people that could do what you do. You’ve had so many characters in just the past few years, and every one of them has been great.
Drake King: It’s going to be mentioned a lot, and probably has been mentioned a lot, but anyone that can accomplish what you have with character after character deserves all the respect in the world. You’ve reached all those heights for a reason, and I’m sure you’re just going to keep reaching new ones because that’s the kind of writer you are. You’re amazing, and it’s great to be able to see another character of yours enter the Hall of Fame.
(We see Chris Elite in a confessional.)
Chris Elite: Jack what can I say? We’ve been going at it since way back and you’ve always improved. I’m going to say this alot tonight but again another well deserved spot even despite our differences I can admit you’ve always found away or kept yourself above water and doing something great here. From the tag team scene to just being a single’s competitor. Let’s not forget you have a top 5 finisher name as well. Congratulations though man.
(We see Minerva in a confessional.)
Minerva: I was very happy to see this, Jack Ripley deserved his flowers after all these years and I know how much work and effort you put in your characters, the creativity and the passion you have is extremely admirable. We have had some heated feuds and they have been top notch, we brought out the best in each other that is for sure. There is so much more for Jack and all of your characters, it really is a huge compliment to have another in the Hall of Fame which shows just how good you are. This was well earned and deserved and my hat is off to you, enjoy every moment of it. CONGRATULATIONS and enjoy it my dude!
(We see Ronn Banks in a confessional.)
Ronn Banks: Although you’ve been inducted already as Ahren, I feel like this one resonates a little bit more because of the time it took to get here as well as the ups and downs of the journey. When I rejoined EAW in 2017 and kept up with things, obviously THR was a big deal but it was Jack Ripley who was one of the newer guys that really stood out to me for whatever reason idk if it was the Gargano pic base or just the way you carried yourself in promos with the straight shooting style but I fucked with it and when you joined when we moved over to the new site I was very glad you made that choice. Although things haven’t always been gravy and there have been impulsive moments and overthinking leading to bad decision making :mjpls:, I could never question your dedication to EAW and for that it isn’t taken for granted and is appreciated, and this is very much well deserved.
(Cameron Ella Ava is seen in the confessionals.)
Cameron Ella Ava: What do I say about Jack Ripley? He is one of the most under appreciated people in this company. I feel like he often gets overlooked. He is someone who is always putting in the work, being the first one in the gym, the last to leave. He is so dedicated to this sport and some of my best matches are thanks to Jack Ripley. It doesn’t matter if it was with the High Rollerz or one-on-one, but he’s been apart of some of my favorite matches during my time in this company.
Cameron Ella Ava: Tag team wrestler or singles wrestler, he has an amazing ability to adjust his wrestling to whatever the situation requires him to do. I have been fortunate to get to know him since 2018 and during an unfortunate time too, but his friendship is something that I will never take for granted. With each milestone that he has been able to accomplish, I always felt the need that he deserved more and he should be getting more.
Cameron Ella Ava: When he was able to capture the Answers World Championship, it was truly a great moment to watch. It was a ton of hard working paying off and something that he really deserved, just like this Hall of Fame nod. I know that David Davidson is looking down on you, proud of this moment and he’d want for you to soak in this moment. Congratulations, Jack!
(The Hall of Fame reopens back to the stage.)
Announcer: Here to induct Jack Ripley into the Hall of Fame, please welcome… Kassidy Heart!
(The audience begins to applaud as ‘Partition (Smearcase Trap Remix)’ begins to blast over the PA system. As Kassidy Heart walks onto the stage, her eyes scan the room and finally settle on Dr. Bethany Blue and Adam Lucas. She flips the middle finger at both of them, squares her shoulders, and heads for the podium. As she adjusts the microphone, her music begins to fade out, and after the crowd quiets down, Kassidy clears her throat. A wry smile comes across her face and she lets out a little laugh.)
Kassidy Heart: I know what you guys are thinking. A Jaded Heart inducting a High Roller on a night when a Jaded Heart is going into the Hall of Fame?? Yeah, it leaves a lot of questions to be answered… which is why I’m doing this strictly out of character :D!
Kassidy Heart: Hi, it’s me Cryssi.
Kassidy Heart: Jack Ripley, the character, and Jack, the handler, have been a mainstay on my brand, Voltage, in some capacity since I took over like five years ago. It’s not really a secret I like to stack my brand with established characters and handlers because I know these are the people I am going to be able to count on. Jack is one of these people. I like to say that I helped turn Jack into a bonafide star, but the character of Jack Ripley was established before I even got here. Obviously, as a tag team promoer, I was well aware of who the High Rollerz were and what their record was. I obviously wanted to see the Jaded Hearts soar to those heights as well. They were no longer active as a team due to various reasons, but that was still the standard. While I won’t speak for Kendra, I’m sure reaching and breaking their record is something she thought about as well. My first Pain for Pride, which was the Pain for Pride Festival back in 2018 was certainly interesting. Kendra and I captured our first set of tag team titles, putting our own goals into motion, but do you know what else happened during that unprecedented four-day event?
Kassidy Heart: Jack won the 24/7 Battle Royal, establishing himself as a singles star going forward. I was new, so I didn’t really pay attention like I should, but if I remember correctly, Jack did a lot of promos for that match. It was obvious he was the favorite going into it but he had people who stepped up to the plate and challenged him, so he worked his ass off to get that first ever singles accolade. Later on the next season, he would use the contract to win his first singles championship which was the Hardcore Championship, but Xav sucks and decided to change it into the PURE Championship because he was running Dynasty at the time. Either way, Jack got his first reign as a singles champion with his longest-tenured character and in doing so, he proved to people that he wasn’t just a tag team guy.
Kassidy Heart: HOWEVER! That shouldn’t have been anything that was ever in question because little did I know that Jack, the handler, was already a successful singles star as someone else entirely! Going back to that infamous PFP Festival, there was a character who really caught my eye. Call me crazy, but you guys know I love reading so of course I’ve read ‘The Odyssey’. So when Ahren Fournier came out to the ring on a Trojan goat… I was obsessed. It didn’t hurt that he was Marty Scurll at the time who I had a little crush on, but hey guys. All my favorite indy wrestlers were busted and exposed as sex pests! I guess that happens when once upon a time wrestling got you hooked because you saw a Chris and Nancy Benoit promo, but anyways. Jack, the handler, was already a champion, and when I found out Ripley and Fournier were handled by the same person, I was shook.
Kassidy Heart: It wasn’t long after that Jack and I developed a partnership with Ahren and Kassidy. We talked a lot and I got to know him a bit. When I tell you guys that this guy is actually hella underrated as a creative mind, he seriously is. Jack is someone who is full of brilliant character ideas and is actually versatile enough to play anyone he wants too. From Ahren to Jack to Clara :troll: to Jesse Barlow to that nasty bitch Miku, Jack is one of the best character writers in all of EAW. When he did time on the Voltage staff as a segment writer, his stuff was always pretty spot on. In fact, I’m going to share a little tidbit with you guys. Over the years, I’ve gone through a ton of storylines. I’ve booked a lot of characters. There are times when even I find myself at a loss for what to do. I don’t remember if it were Jack or Limmy who came up with the original idea, but both of them contributed to it and thus one of my favorite storylines ever was born!
Kassidy Heart: What was this storyline?!
Kassidy Heart: SHANE GATES AND LIZZY THE DOLL!!!!
Kassidy Heart: I kinda just threw it at both Jack and Limmy, depending on who got the segment that week, and oftentimes I didn’t even give them notes. They just fucking nailed it and created one of the most interesting and fun angles I have ever ran in an efed. And I can’t even be shocked. Limmy wasn’t that well-known to me at the time so to say I was pleasantly surprised by how good he was at creating is an understatement, but Jack was known to me, so I knew what he was capable of, and Jack loves horror movies. He loves Halloween. He loves anything spooky and creepy, and may or may not have had a creepy window in his old house that had no blind :D. You probably want to forget that, don’t you? :troll:
Kassidy Heart: The fact of the matter is, Jack is gifted. Anyone who can play so many different characters and have various levels of success clearly is, but there is more to Jack than he allows you guys to see. I know him from behind the scenes and I know how passionate he is about just writing in general. He truly does love it, and as a writer myself and a creator, I appreciate that. I respect the hell out of it and what he’s able to do. I feel as if I am one of the few people who’ve had a chance to get to know who Jack really is as a person and I’m grateful for that. I LOVE booking characters who have handlers that will take whatever is given to them and just roll with it. I created a whole ass family for Jack and married his sister off to Charlie Marr :mjlol:. He didn’t complain. That’s not to say the two of us haven’t butted heads before. We definitely have, but you know what? It is what it is. I’m guilty of butting heads with people too. Hi Bankerson. Having disagreements with people and seeing things different is a natural part of life. I don’t hold anything against Jack, and honestly? When he asked me to induct him into the Hall of Fame I was caught off guard, and I was fucking flattered. He is deserving of this, and it’s an honor for me to be able to shed some light on who the talent is behind the character.
Kassidy Heart: Another thing I can appreciate about Jack, as well as Sienna, Drake, and Viz, is the fact these people are prime examples of pushing through the ups and downs. As a promoer, it’s fucking hard to get the energy up and write sometimes. Sometimes, it takes me hours to put something together that I like enough to post. I struggle with the slightest hint of adversity (I see you nodding your head Banks :francis:), and I have nothing but respect for all four inductees in this year’s class that I have shared a promo page with. Whether they like something or not, they do their best to push forward and I know Jack doesn’t like everything :P. To err is human, and Jack is just that. He’s a human being. I think all of us can agree that this is a time consuming hobby. A lot of us pour every bit of free-time we have into this and sometimes we do get frustrated. I have not and never will fault anyone for their feelings, even if I don’t agree with them, but I do hold people accountable and talk to them, and Jack knows this. He’s not perfect, but neither am I. Neither are the rest of you. And especially not you, Jake Smith. Over the years Jack has expressed himself to me and shown grace when I called him out on his bullshit. We’ve had interesting talks about life, collaborated on some incredible joint promos, given one another advice, and have developed a pretty good relationship. Sure, we piss one another off sometimes :troll: but that’s totally fine.
Kassidy Heart: At the end of the day, no matter what, Jack is my friend.
Kassidy Heart: Jack, I am beyond proud to see this particular character get his flowers because I know you have put a lot of work into him. You put a lot into everything you do, but Jack is your baby. He is your first love. You somehow have made a vanilla, bland boring midget wrestler in Johnny Gargano into one of the best characters in EAW named Jack Ripley, and no one will ever be able to take this away from you. You deserve what you have, and I hope in the future we get to see you do even more. Not this weekend with the National Elite Championship :whoa: :mjlol: but you know, soon! I have never regretted messaging you that day and asking you to be Kassidy’s partner in the intergender tournament Sienna and I were putting together.
Kassidy Heart: And by the way, Sienna and I wrote our parts of that show. It was Layla ‘Low Point’ Lockhart who dropped the ball and never turned his shit in. Remember Layla and TLA being a team and Layla being a virgin? @Hikari O’Hara, I should have used that in your feud with TLA but I digress. LAYLA SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE MOTHER!
Kassidy Heart: Sorry. Squirrel. That’s what we say at the hospital when one of us are attacked by our ADHD and get sidetracked.
Kassidy Heart: Magnum Opus is one of my favorite ever arcs in Kassidy’s personal journey and a lot of that is because of you. You had so many ideas for that and I loved how that story started and how it came to a violent, gory end. It was fitting for them and their toxicity and because when Ahren got inducted I didn’t know we could do this shit OOC, so I don’t think I really got to give you a genuine thank you. So thank you for that time in my efed life. Thank you for just being a good friend. It’s not an easy task to qualify into the EAW Hall of Fame and you get to join a very Elite class of handlers that have multiple handlers enshrined. Tonight, Sienna Jade also receives that honor and together you two are joining HBB/Cleopatra as absolute fucking GOAT writers who have proven yourselves as the very best of the best. I hope this induction hits close to your heart because I know this is what you have been wanting for Jack. With him being a character I have identified with for a while just because of the similarities between him and Kassidy and their respective starts, I am so beyond happy he is getting this honor. Please don’t ever lose your love and your passion for writing and storytelling. It is who you are. Being able to think creativity and translates those ideas onto paper, or in our case, a Google doc, is a fucking gift and I know you don’t take it lightly. You’re a good person. Let other people see it every now and then. Hopefully you actually react during the Hall of Fame :P. No matter, enjoy your moment.
Kassidy Heart: I’m proud of you. You have always been good enough. You’re one of the best.
Kassidy Heart: Ladies and gentlemen… please welcome the man who’s done it all in this business and continues reaching for the stars. Please welcome… THE STRAIGHT SHOOTA!!!! JACK RIPLEY!
(‘Blue World’ by Mac Miller is then heard beginning to play through the speakers with the crowd coming unglued for Jack Ripley as he makes his way out. He has a light smile on his face as he stands on the stage, making his way over as him and Kassidy briefly embrace one another. Jack then takes the podium, with his theme beginning to come to a close, taking the time to compose his words before beginning to speak.)
Jack Ripley: So seeing as this is the second time that one of my characters have been inducted into the hall of fame, I’m going to take a different approach to things this time around. I’m going to be speaking about my entire experience in EAW, and not just do a comedy bit. I know all of you, or most of you probably think my journey in EAW started in December of 2016, but the true Jack Ripley knowers know that I actually started here in 2015… But the real real Jack Ripley knowers, aka probably just David Davidson, know that I actually started back in 2014. I wasn’t Jack Ripley, though I had the same picbase, Johnny Gargano, but at the time I was someone different.
Jack Ripley: I went by the name Riley DeWitt, and I wanted to do a dark character reminiscent of a Naruto character named Gaara. Looking back now it was incredibly cringe, and the character was terrible, not much has changed huh? Pausing for a laugh… Annnd ok. Although if you google Riley DeWitt EAW on google, a certain Riley DeWitt is mentioned in an article that says EAW management is very high on him… Big if true. I didn’t do much as Riley. I don’t even remember how long I was here for. But it was at that time that I met my good pal David Davidson.
Jack Ripley: Again most of you know he was known as Norman Hellion at the time, and we had similar characters. With that we bonded, and though I wound up leaving EAW due to reasons I don’t really remember, David and I kept in touch. So fast forward to 2015, and David brings up the fact that he wants to team with me. So we get to brainstorming, and I come up with the idea that we’re gamblers from Vegas. David loves it, and we’re on our way. We create these little bits where we have a door in the middle of the hallway that we use for our “office” as we decided we would take bets as a little gambling agency. David randomly wanted to have us have a stoop backstage for no reason other than its David.
Jack Ripley: Things started off well, but after about a month or 2 in EAW, I got busy, and the High Rollerz were no more. Fast Forward to the summer of 2016, and I stopped being busy, and I got bored. Suddenly the thought of efedding pops up in my mind again, but I didn’t want to just come back as Jack, because that was a David and me thing. So I thought about it, and I thought let me make a character who thinks he has no flaws, and nothing wrong with him, because if someone is literally perfect, how can you beat him? So I made Ahren Fournier, and got back in the swing of things in EAW.
Jack Ripley: After a few months, I realized I miss Jack, and I missed the High Rollerz. So after about 5 months, I messaged David about bringing the boys back, and so we brought back the High Rollerz. While here, we won some titles, became a pretty good tag team, and it all exploded in a fiery mess. So there it is, the story of the High Rollerz.
Jack Ripley: But that’s not why you’re here, you’re here to celebrate me! And me alone. Through the years I’ve seen Jack as an extension of myself, which makes it really hard to just give up on him. I’ve been in EAW for quite some time now, and there has been a ton of ups and downs. You know I say in promos all the time that I never wanted, or expected to be a singles guy here. And that’s exactly how I really feel. The High Rollerz were the only objective for me, and it was the only thing I cared about. So when the whole walk out thing happened, and I saw David walk out the door, I won’t lie, I felt a little lost.
Jack Ripley: Sure I had Ahren, and and he was doing fine, but I never really thought about who Jack is. In my opinion it took a little while to really get into the swing of things, but finally I figured it out. Being put in the 1% did make the transition to singles guy easier, even though I was still in a group, I had more singles matches, and was more treated as a singles guy. The 1% by the way was Theron, DDD, Impact, and Me for those who don’t know. I came up with the name, no big deal. But being surrounded with that much talent made me realize I had to keep up, and I had to bring it every time.
Jack Ripley: So with that, I made sure I didn’t slack behind. So of course I have to thank Theron, DDD, and Impact for the 1% because without it, I don’t know what would’ve happened. I was partnered with the best in EAW, and I think it helped tremendously in my career in the long run. Ultimately, after the 1% is really when things ramped up, and I believe that’s when I went to the finals of King of Elite, and afterward went straight into the feud with Charlie Marr, which was probably my most prolific feud to date.
Jack Ripley: I wouldn’t be here without feuds like the one I had with Charlie, so I’d like to shout out Charlie Marr first and foremost because that was my first big singles feud. And honestly it was one of the most fun, yet extremely frustrating feuds I’ve had. Even if you are a massive douche, and stole my sister.
Jack Ripley: I’m so grateful to be able to be a part of the EAW Hall of Fame with Jack. I think through it all he is the character that I have put most time and energy into. So to see where he’s come from where he began I feel pride about it. I don’t know how many people believed in me from the start, and I really don’t know how many people still believe in me to this day. I just try to go out every week, and talk the most shit.
Jack Ripley: Sometimes life gets in the way, and I let it overwhelm me, so it seems as if I don’t care, or I don’t put in my best efforts. But I can assure you there hasn’t been a week that I haven’t tried. I’m quiet, shy, sarcastic as fuck, and some people may take that as me being mean, or off putting and if that’s the case I apologize. It’s just in my nature to keep to myself. The only way I really know how to talk is in sarcasm, and I get that it rubs people the wrong way. I think that it shines through in my promos more than anything; because I get to say what I want without consequences.
Jack Ripley: Sorry about Miku by the way. It’s all in good fun though, and I assure you, that I don’t dislike any of you in reality. The ones I hated already left during the walk out all those years ago. But I don’t want this to be all about me, because it shouldn’t be. I want to thank the people that have helped me get to where I am today.
Jack Ripley: First off, Kassidy, thank you for your Hall of Fame induction, I really appreciate that you did that for me, I know how busy PFP week is for you, with all your characters and writing, etc. etc. I know that sometimes I can be a bit much with my thoughts and opinions about direction of character, but it’s just because I care too much about this dumb shit. At the end of the day I always know that you have what’s best for everyone in mind, me included.
Jack Ripley: Back when we first started talking, it was about some intergender tag team tournament that I don’t even remember if it happened or not. But we had such a good time writing promos, we decided to actually team up Ahren and Kassidy, and it wound up being one of the best, most fun storylines that I’ve been a part of. What made it so much fun is the fact that it was the first time something that I came up with played out in script, and it ran all the way to PFP that year.
Jack Ripley: I know we don’t talk much anymore, but I want you to know that you’ll always be my friend, and I appreciate everything you’ve ever done for me. You’ve meant so much to the Jack character with how you’ve written for him, and how you portray him, I can’t thank you enough. Sometimes I think that you have a better understanding of who Jack is, than I do. I feel like I should mention something about how you were the one that beat Jack for his title, but I’m going to choose not to! Because I’m being positive Jack, and you’ve been great for all my characters. That goes the same for Miku, Clara, Jesse/Gio, and any other character I might’ve made, and forgot about. So thank you, and I can’t wait to see what comes next with Voltage with whatever character I have there.
Jack Ripley: Then of course Xav, or Theron. Jack’s career has been intertwined with you for some time. From the 1%, to our PFP matches, to Foursaken, Threesaken, and that weird disgusting picture you would always link in the chat.. Pooploops was it? You’re the first person to give me a shot at match writing, and although I hated every second of it, and never want to do it again; I still appreciate the fact that you thought of me to be your second in command. No matter what it’s always seemed like you had my back with anything, and in a way without you, there would be no Jack Ripley today. And that’s tur.. Not a typo, but I’m speaking this so I mean no slurred speech?
Jack Ripley: Jamie, I want to thank you too. Because you’re the only loser that was shit enough to lose to Jack Ripley and give him a World Championship lmaoooooo what a loser. Of course I’m being a little prankster. I know that our paths are more intertwined when it comes to Miku and Hikari, and Ahren and Jamie, but with Jack, I had one of the biggest feuds of Jack’s career. It spanned a few months, and actually ended with me winning! I don’t want to keep rubbing that in your face because ily of course.
Jack Ripley: I’ve always enjoyed promoing against you the most, whether it was with Jack, or Ahren, or even Miku, your promos are something I’ve always looked forward to. I always knew I would have to use my brain meat, and really try to think of a way to rebuttal everything that you said. You were Ahrens first big win in my eyes, Jack’s biggest win of course, and well, Miku is gonna beat your ass too eventually. But that’s not what this is about, this about how much I appreciate you, and your friendship. I’m glad that our careers crossed so many times, and even though you are not my partner right now, I’m sure one day Miku and Hikari will kiss and make up and we can be back to being that dominant team we’re destined to be. After I beat your ass again of course.
Jack Ripley: Cameron, you’re a bih and ho, and just generally a bad person. With that being said, you’ve also meant a lot to my career. Jack has had many battles with every single Ava in existence, to the point that I’m afraid that you’re just going to keep warping more into EAW just to fight Jack. Why can’t we get along Cam? You’ve been there a lot for me over these years, and I want to thank you for that. I know you and I had always teased teaming together, and with Clara and Conseula we kinda did with the SuperMegaGirlz, but I ruined that, sorry.
Jack Ripley: But, you’ve always been a good friend, even with your poor judgment on wrestlers *ahem* the bellas. I’ll always remember how you kept propping me up during the Grand Rampage match when I, as Ahren wrote like 28 promos or some shit, and almost actually won. And of course, when you were the main writer for Showdown and had me beat Jamie for the Answers World Championship! That was cool. Oh, and sorry Jamie is my bff now, and not yours, it do just be like that sometimes though.
Jack Ripley: Now the last person I want to thank, I think is obvious, and I know how much everyone here isn’t so much a fan. If anything there is no story about Jack Ripley, without David Davidson. Like I said back in 2015, David came to me and asked if I wanted to team. We were friends for a while up to that point, and never teamed. We always knew we had chemistry, and when we started doing our joint promos, it instantly worked. We would always try to do the most ridiculous shit possible, and make sure to try and one up each other. David with a random stoop in the backstage area. Me trying to make a random door in the hallway to our office that we insisted people use, only to open up to more hallways where we would just be sitting to take bets on. It was one of the most fun times I’ve ever had in efeds ever.
Jack Ripley: Every single time we were going to write a joint promo, I knew we were going to come up with something fun. Most the time in efeds, it feels like you make friends that disappear after a while. David has always been a constant for me. Even when another efed was created and he decided to go to that one, we never stopped talking, and I don’t think we’ll ever stop talking because we just get each other. I really don’t think a lot of people get me at all, and that’s a part of why I tend to stay away from talking at all. But with David it’s different.
Jack Ripley: Sure he’s from Wisconsin and likes all bad teams. Sure I’m a Jets fan and we just took his beloved QB, and are going to win at least the same amount of Super Bowls that he did with the Packers. That’s just the way it is sometimes. David is one of the fun, and creative writers I’ve ever met, the fact that he can go from being Norman Hellion the depressed psycho freak, to David Davidson the ADD riddled man whore, is something amazing to behold.
Jack Ripley: I was so excited to have him come back last year, and it felt like we didn’t even miss a beat. Our promos were just like riding a bike, and honestly, til this day, if he wanted to go and write a joint promo just for fun, about nothing, I would do it, and I’m sure I would have some of the most fun in my life… Am I depressed? Why is that the most fun in my life? Who can say. But of all the people I know through efeds, you’re by far my closest friend.
Jack Ripley: We have known each other since basically high school, and now we’re like old Men back on the High Rollerz stoop talking about old times. Of course we never really talk about old times, we just wind up making fun of each other at this point. But, of course you’re not going to hear this, so I can make fun of you behind your back like an adult would do without repercussions. Sooo, nah i’m just kidding. But from the bottom of my heart, I just want to thank you for everything over the years, you’re the best pal a guy could ask for.
Jack Ripley: Anyways, I think I’ve rambled long enough. Wouldn’t be a Jack Ripley promo without rambling though, am I right? It’s been a long journey, and it doesn’t even feel like we’ve made it to the end yet. I still feel like there’s more that I want to do here, which includes winning the National Elite Championship at PFP this year. There’s so many people that I have come across in EAW that molded Jack into what he is today, and even if I didn’t mention you, you’re probably on that list. Thank you!
(‘Blue World’ begins to play again, Jack putting a hand to his heart while the crowd once again begins to cheer again. He has a smile on his face as he embraces the moment before then beginning to take his leave.)
Persephone: Yep. Jack Ripley, love that guy. Always been a fan. My favorite parts of his career were all the times he shared the ring with Rex McAllister, but he had some other cool moments, too. He’s definitely accomplished a whole lot in his career, and he’s not the only member of 2023’s Hall of Fame class with a whole lot to his name. We have our third inductee coming up next, and I’m sure this streak of really good and deserving inductions is going to continue. I definitely can’t wait to get out of here- I mean, get the next inductee out here, so let’s see who’s joining Jack Ripley and Superior Quality 85 in this year’s Hall of Fame class 😁!
(We see Jake Smith in a confessional.)
Jake Smith: Now I get that Kendra Shamez was the Hall of Fame character, multiple time Women’s Champion, but as I’m sure many can agree, the character that I was introduced to first was Sienna Jade. My first major opportunity when I first joined this company was when I and myself :troll: faced The Jaded Hearts at Under Siege 2019. It goes without saying the type of promoer Kassidy Heart is, and I kinda knew already I had dug myself a hole upon reading one of those for the very first time. But when I read the Sienna Jade promo, that’s when I knew that I was fucked.
Jake Smith: It goes without saying the extraordinary promoer that Kendra, the person, is, but even with that knowledge when I see the weekly Sienna Jade promo posts this past Season I am blown away by the type of dedication that is put into each one. Sienna Jade is someone that never gets old, and the Universal Women’s Championship reign earlier this year was proof of that. Now getting inducted? Words can’t describe how amazing this is. Congratulations Sienna!
(The camera cuts to Dr. TLAmar in the confessional.)
Dr. TLAmar: Buenos días, hermanos y hermanas. Today I have gathered you all to get to discussing something very important. We are all here to honor Sienna Jade and her great contributions to EAW. But what we have not discussed nearly enough is her relationship and procreation with that male snowbunny Y2Impact.
Dr. TLAmar: It saddens me greatly amigos to see a strong independent reina latina out here allowing herself to be colonized by all kinds of gringos. Which is why I am offering no I am indeed insisting that as a true Hall of Fame legend in this industry she must send her children to my school immediately. She must send her children to my school immediately! They must be educated before it is too late for la cultura. Stay woke mi gente!
(TLA is shown adjusting his poncho as he drapes a Mexican flag in front of the camera as the confessional ends.)
(We see Chris Elite in a confessional.)
Chris Elite: Sienna, one of my favorites to promo against when it does happen and just an overall great character and a workhorse since you’ve debuted Sienna congratulations.
(Harper Lee is seen in a confessional.)
Harper Lee: It obviously says something when someone is able to create a character capable of reaching Hall of Fame status, then make another that does the exact same thing years later. Sienna Jade is such a great character, and that’s because there is an amazing writer responsible for it. She’s one of the best EAW has and there’s a reason why Sienna Jade alone has all of the accomplishments she does, let alone every other character she’s made. Some of those accomplishments including taking my titles.
Harper Lee: On a serious note, Sienna deserves everything that she’s accomplished and more. We know how great she is because we’ve all had the opportunity to see it all this time whether you were here to see the Kendra Shamez run, here to see Sienna Jade’s work or even through other characters such as Ximena Velasquez. She has shown that she can make literally anything work and that’s admirable. She’s hilarious, creative, and just a flat out great writer who was always going to get this induction eventually. Congratulations!
(We see Minerva in a confessional.)
Minerva: Kendra, Sienna was the Women’s Champion when I first joined with Minerva back in jan 2019 and I automatically started reading your promos and studying what you did, because that is how you get the feel for a new fed, see what the top characters are doing. Your silver tongue promos were always amazing, I waited for the day that we could interact and feud, but I got to talk to you before that on Discord and you were extremely nice to me when I was new and when you learned I was a chef we connected.
Minerva: Some of my most fun feuds and promos to write were against you, the last one was on a whole other level and really brought out the best in me, but that is what you do and unselfishly too. I am really happy that you are getting this moment with another character, one that truly deserves to be there. You are always a joy on Discord and a great person, handler and character, this is your time and enjoy what you have greatly earned and deserved. CONGRATULATIONS and thank you for the memories and hopefully more to come!
(We see Ronn Banks in a confessional.)
Ronn Banks: Congrats goat, I know how much this means to you and how much more special this is in comparison to your induction as Kendra in 2011 considering your whole journey leading up to this. Take it all in because you deserve it all.
Ronn Banks: One thing you’ve always been if nothing else, has been loyal. Through the ups and downs and whatever else was going on you’ve always stayed solid and I never took that for granted. You’re a great friend and I never forgot when I came back in 2016 and visited the chat and got the cold shoulder from basically everybody except for you and DEDEDE who made me feel more welcome and that stuck with me.
Ronn Banks: When I finally got the chance to bring you along for REVOLT, I honestly wanted the Kendra Shamez character ngl, I had no interest in Sienna but you were insistent on it and I went with it and it honestly ended up paying off big time. I could never forget classic moments like your first match on Resurgence where you bodied your opponent, or your Freeweight Championship match at REVOLT 1 against Ms. Extreme, or the amazing Jaded Hearts moments or the UWC wins etc etc.
Ronn Banks: You’ve built a helluva resume for yourself and another thing I will say is you have got to be one of the most selfless efedders male or female I have ever come across. You’ve taken some stuff for the team over the years with a smile on your face when you didn’t have to. To this day I wish I could go back and re-do that garbage at PFP Festival and just have been more vocal overall about my displeasure in that fat fucks booking and went with my intuition knowing I never trusted him from the jump, but the past is the past and you didn’t let that dark Cloud reign on your parade, your legacy has far Eclipsed his. Quadruple Aunt Andre don’t ask me how :deaf_man_tone5:.
Ronn Banks: You didn’t let shit like that deter you or a shitty moment like that define your whole career or overshadow the great moments you’ve gone on to have. You’re a stronger person than a lot of people give you credit for and that you deserve the world and then some, but hopefully you don’t mind settling for the HOF for now :troll:
(Ms. Extreme is seen in the confessionals.)
Ms. Extreme: Sienna Jade has no right to be as selfless as she already is. Being able to interact with her as much as I did during the REVOLT! days was such a light. I was getting back into wrestling and she was more than welcoming during my time. She wanted to keep a sense of unity with all of the Freeweights. She wanted nothing more than to have that sorority-like environment backstage. People think that it’s such a gimmick, but if you’ve talked to her, you can see how much she cares about the other women.
Ms. Extreme: Our match at REVOLT! 1 was legendary in my eyes. It was the first big match returning into wrestling, but when we wrestled, it just clicked. We were able to go out there, wrestle our asses off and despite losing, I was thrilled that Sienna was champion. The woman is an absolutely perfect foil for any face character. Her ability to sink into her role is something that she deserves more credit on. Her dedication for this sport and wanting to bring the best out of everyone is something so wholesome and I thank her for what she’s done for me as a wrestler. There would be no Ms. Extreme in this modern day without Sienna Jade. Congratulations, Sienna!
(Kassidy Heart is seen inside of the confessional.)
Kassidy Heart: Honestly, I have no idea where to even start with this. What is there to say? I’ve said it before and I will say it again. Without Sienna Jade, there would never be a Kassidy Heart. There is no Cryssi in EAW without Mari. You were the only person besides Banks to reach out to me in REVOLT, and our amazing DM chain literally went on forever. I never would have given EAW a second thought if you hadn’t agreed to come over as well, and the rest, as they say, is history.
Kassidy Heart: It’s hard to express exactly what you mean to me, and I know I talked at length about it during last year’s Hall of Fame. I was a literal wreck during that time last year due to things going on within this place, so I feel as if I probably just rambled. I also know we spoke behind the scenes and got some stuff straight, and I’m glad that happened. Our relationship hasn’t been perfect, especially in character, and none of that ever had anything to do with you. It was all on me, and despite everything, you continued to be supportive. We continued to weather all the storms. I’m grateful for you and for the impact you’ve had on me. This whole world of efeds was entirely new to me because where I came from, we didn’t just do straight up promos. You helped me adjust and get comfortable with being in a new place and you never had to do that.
Kassidy Heart: But that’s just who you are as a person. Quite frankly, I have and never will give a fuck about what happened in this place before I got here. I like to form my own opinions on people and give them a chance, and allow them to show me their true colors. I don’t think people understand who you actually are. They don’t know just how generous and giving you are when it comes to your characters, and they damn sure don’t understand what it’s like to be a parent, have a full-time job, and still want to be involved in a hobby that hasn’t always been kind to you. And it hasn’t. I’m not going to hold back or sugarcoat anything. You came over from REVOLT, immediately got fucked over, and that right there gave you enough of a reason to walk away. But you didn’t. You stayed and I’m sure a lot of that had to do with me and being a part of the Jaded Hearts. Thank you for that.
Kassidy Heart: That’s why even though I get jealous of you and your success, and yes, guys that is true. I’m not even joking. I have to sit back and marvel at it too. For you to be able to do what you do, while balancing all your real life responsibilities is enough of a reason for you to be enshrined in the Hall of Fame again. But the quality of your writing and your overall ability speaks for itself and justifies everything you have ever gotten here as Sienna Jade. I want to touch on something that I mention in Jack’s induction, and that’s how tonight you are joining a small, very exclusive and very Elite club of handlers who have been able to get more than one character to this level. I wasn’t here for the legendary run of Kendra Shamez, but I’ve seen bits and pieces of your work as her over the years when you’ve come back for a match or two, and she’s great. You’re great, but you already know that. The fact that you are talented enough to get not one, but two characters into the Hall of Fame is incredible, but I’m not going to stop there. I’ve also gotten a chance to see your work as Eris LeCava and Ximena Vasquez. Both entirely different characters from one another, and from Sienna and Kendra, once again showing just how talented you are as a writer.
Kassidy Heart: You need to be proud of that. You need to actually sit back for once and understand that you are a huge part of this community and one of the best writers we have here. You have NEVER given yourself enough credit for what you’re able to do, and that’s just a fact. You shortchange yourself and I don’t get that. Truly, I don’t. Your style is very unique, comparable to Malcolm Jones, your other half, and some of the other people who have the ability to sink their teeth into another character and really go for the throat. You’re fucking mean and not just anyone can write like that. I can’t. I have to take an entirely different approach to promoing, and while that’s okay, I really do envy how easy you make freestyle shit-talking look. It’s literally so effortless. Your style has benefitted me over the years whenever the Jaded Hearts come together and it’s wounded me whenever we find ourselves against one another. Be proud of yourself. Be proud of your promos. Don’t ever think you aren’t a top tier writer because if you do, I’m going to slap the shit out of you.
Kassidy Heart: I wish I could think of some funny, clever way to wrap this up, but nothing really comes to mind. Instead, I just want to be sentimental and give you the respect you deserve because as a writer and as a human being, as Mari, you are a special person. You took a chance on someone that Banks once upon a time thought was Jacob Senn sneaking into REVOLT :mjlol: and that right there will never be lost on me. You are Kassidy’s forever partner, her soulmate, and her better half. You are my friend, my make-up buddy, and someone I’m very glad to have met. Thank you for just being you and congratulations on Sienna Jade becoming a Hall of Famer. You are many wonderful, beautiful, and incredible things. But my favorite thing about you is that you’re unfuckwithable.
Kassidy Heart: Cheers, babe. I love you.
(The Hall of Fame reopens back to the stage.)
Announcer: Here to induct Sienna Jade into the Hall of Fame, please welcome… Impact!
(‘M3tamorphosis’ by Playboi Carti ft. Kid Cudi begins to blast through the speakers, the crowd responding with a thunderous ovation as Impact makes his way out to the stage. He hypes up the crowd, pumping his fists in the air, as he makes his way over to the podium. After sometime his theme begins to come to a close and he gets the chance to compose himself, looking up at the crowd in attendance with a smile as he begins to speak.)
Impact: When you’re in love, you want to tell the world. That’s from the mouth of Carl Sagan, but in this case it’s also Karl Impact. I’m not going to hold you guys, I don’t really enjoy peeling the curtain back and there’s a reason I haven’t inducted anybody since 2011, but a special person calls for a special occasion.
Impact: In early 2018, I don’t think the handler behind Sienna Jade thought she’d come nearly this far. REVOLT! Pro Combat birthed many and reinvigorated others, and she was a perfect example of somebody who reinvented her personality with a whole new level of enthusiasm as Sienna Jade. She was somebody who was out of e-feds on bad terms, and Sienna was the perfect opportunity for a new lease on life, and she took the ball and ran with it farther than she ever could have imagined.
Impact: In a time where EAW was halved and the fed had entered its great reset, with a lot of uncertainty and little-known names like Andrei Sokolova and Riley McCray either being casualties of the REVOLT-EAW merger or leaving shortly thereafter, she became a rock for EAW and a fixture here more so than ever before. This was a time when the disgraced mutineers and opps tried their best to end EAW for good, but to their chagrin it came back stronger than ever before, and that happened because of the collective efforts of people like Sienna Jade.
Impact: Her greatest contribution, incredibly, is not her extensive list of personal achievements and the way she’s put the promos page in a bodybag for over five years and running as Sienna Jade, but in how she has positively affected others around her. I can attest — she has been a constant source of motivation over the years. Whether I didn’t want to promo or take out the trash, you can rest assured she’s given me that extra push to do so!
Impact: But in all seriousness, she’s been a daily positive force in my life on and off the screen, a constant guiding light, a great listener, partner, and the kind of person everybody in her family is grateful to be around. She is constantly willing to assist others where she has no obligation to do so, and that’s reflective of the beautiful individual she is, inside and out.
Impact: This has carried over in EAW with everybody she’s crossed paths with and everything she’s accomplished. She helped turn not only my EAW career around, but my life behind the scenes around. Early 2018, that aforementioned period, I was in a dark place, and when I needed someone? She was my light. The EAW checks weren’t clearing because business was in the gutter with Carlos Rosso as champion, I had recently ended a toxic long-term relationship with Bobby Lee of MADtv fame (I’m joking, but I’m kind of not joking), and in general I just wasn’t pleasant to be around. I was angry at the world, frustrated with where I was in life and more focused on the people I felt wronged me than on making tomorrow better.
Impact: Her presence in my life immediately changed that. Our conversations ran for hours, our ideas sometimes clashed with each other’s, but it was constructive instead of deconstructive, and I think those conversations were the first time I had experienced that in earnest and without ulterior motives. We were also bonded by our mutual hatred of Bobby Lee, which continues to fuel us until this very day.
Impact: Because of her, I was able to channel that anger and frustration in healthier, more productive ways. I can’t even begin to think of where I’d be were it not for the person behind Sienna Jade. I don’t think I’d be in EAW. I had reached a crossroads, and thankfully she was waiting for me at the other end.
Impact: She’s a fantastic person, there’s no question about it, but she’s also been one of the defining faces of an era. She’s done justice to every championship she’s ever won, she’s responsible for the deaths of more microphones than any musician out there, and in general she’s just been the prototype for every other aspiring elitist to follow. She’s helped me in numerous ways, she’s also helped countless others over the years, but I think it’s important to emphasize she belongs here as much as anybody else in this Hall of Fame.
Impact: She’s put in the work, she has literally sacrificed sleep promoing before work the next morning (couldn’t be me, I tried to make Jacob Steele head writer of Showdown the first time I saw dark circles under my eyes), she has embodied what it means to be an elitist in and out of promos, on and off the screen, and she’s laid the blueprint. Everybody who has ever worked with her, against her or alongside her, has benefited in some way, shape, or form from it. That’s the truest testament to somebody’s greatness in EAW. How can you elevate others? If you can perform the exact same way against everybody you feud with, and have a level of synergy and chemistry no matter how different the styles are that you have to complement, that’s the mark of somebody who is truly great at their craft.
Impact: There will always be chatter, but for my money, I don’t know anybody who excels in that specific quality better than she does. You want to know how you can be successful in EAW? Look no further than Sienna. She will always be the yin to your yang, and I feel blessed and highly favored that she shares that with me every single day.
Impact: I hope, for the good of EAW and all the stars in its future, she continues to share that with all of you. She’s a REVOLT! Pro Combat original who helped spearhead the movement which revolutionized the EAW that exists today, she’s a champion in a league of her own, she’s a wonderful companion, she is… Unfuckwithable. Ladies and gentlemen, give it up for Sienna Jade!
(‘Unfuckwithable’ by Deez Nuts is heard playing as Sienna Jade is seen beginning to make her way out to the stage to the excitement of the crowd. She quickly makes her way over to Impact as the two of them lovingly embrace one another. The two of them exchange words before Sienna then makes her way over and steps up to the podium. Her theme begins to come to a close while she takes a moment before speaking.)
Sienna Jade: Let me give a shout-out to Impact for writing that heartfelt induction speech that totally wasn’t forced by anyone, at all! Completely did it on your own will and kindness out of that big, juicy, meaty heart you have! 😉
Sienna Jade: I wasn’t sure how to begin this speech as it’s something that I’ve been pondering about for a while. As I was doing miscellaneous things in my day-to-day life, I kept thinking – What the hell am I going to say? What should I highlight? Who should I thank? Even though I’ve been inducted into the EAW Hall of Fame before (Shout out to the 2011 class) This induction means a lot to me.
Sienna Jade: I joined EAW back in 2010 – wait, hold on. Let me rearrange my back real quick due to my insane old age. *CRAK* Ok there we go. No, seriously – it’s incredible how even some of my fellow inductees were literally in elementary school OR EVEN TODDLERS WHEN I WAS ORIGINALLY INDUCTED. 😐
Sienna Jade: As I was saying, I joined EAW in 2010 and spent a lot of time having fun being in different roles within the e-fed. You guys have no idea how blessed we are NOW with the women’s division/diversity of female characters that we have today. Do you know what the women’s division looked like back in 2010? It didn’t exist! We’d be lucky if maybe 1 handler stayed longer than three months. And back then, intergender matches weren’t really a thing, either. Before I go any further, let me give a quick shoutout to my fellow OG, Cameron Ella Ava, who also remembers the dark times of the women’s division back in the day.
Sienna Jade: I was inducted into the EAW Hall of Fame within one year of signing up. And while it was still an incredible honor, comparing the requirements to get inducted then to now is vastly different. Back then, (at least in my case) as long as you won a title here and there and were an active personality in the chat, you were in! As the years progressed and e-fedding continued to evolve into what it is now, I never felt like my induction 10+ years ago was deserved. The Kendra Shamez character is one that I hold near and dear to my heart, but I personally never felt like her career was good enough to be Hall of Fame worthy. Even then, the Kendra Shamez character took a hiatus from 2012-2014 until I debuted a new character; Cassandra Lyndivida. And then a short stint with Kendra until in 2015 I debuted my other character, Eris LeCava.
Sienna Jade: I ran those two characters simultaneously until 2017 when I thought I’d never be involved in EAW ever again. It was during that time that I was exploring other sites and wanted to create a brand-new character that hadn’t been seen in the e-fed world. And that’s when Succubus was born!
Sienna Jade: Succubus was basically the first rendition of Sienna Jade that was helped created by none other than the legend himself, Mr. DEDEDE. I know the name is a little sus, but it was basically the Sienna Jade we know now except sluttier and much more emo (Didn’t know that was possible!) DDD laid the groundwork for this character and helped with so many concepts even though he didn’t have to. He was still kind enough to help me with move sets, gimmicks, small, peculiar details, etc. to make the character stand out from the rest. If it wasn’t for his brilliant mind coming up with the template for the now 2023 Hall of Famer, I don’t think she would’ve existed today. So, as Kassidy would say, thank you daddygawd!
Sienna Jade: But as with any e-fed within the outside realm of EAW, they don’t last. And after a few months, I was left with this dead character who I wanted to explore more, but I didn’t have anywhere to do it. This is where Ronn Banks comes to mind. I’ve known Banks since I first joined EAW in 2010. I still remember our fights in Yahoo! Messenger when he would tell me to promo. I guess some things never change. Banks, I’ve always said from the very beginning that if it wasn’t for YOU, I would not be here. To some, this may seem like an internet game where we log in, post our promos, read the shows, and log out but to me it means much more than that. In case you didn’t know – Impact and I are partners in real life and we have two kids together. If it wasn’t for Ronn Banks inviting me to join his e-fed, REVOLT, after I was long gone with EAW – then there’s a huge possibility that my kids wouldn’t be here. Which is insane to think about.
Sienna Jade: Banks, you gave me the opportunity to redeem myself and gave me a platform to just have fun and explore that character that I gave up on a few months back. You also created an atmosphere where a lot of the toxic people from years past were gone and essentially gave people a clean slate to work from. I am so grateful I was able to be a part of REVOLT and looking back, that was such a badass move. The chairman and legendary Ronn Banks venturing out and creating his own reputable e-fed to directly compete with EAW?! The contRoVersy! I guess you just had to be there.
Sienna Jade: And how could I forget that you were one of my biggest supporters when the merger actually happened between REVOLT and EAW? At the time, I was incredibly hesitant about coming back. I voiced my concerns and you listened… and told me that I was dumb and that everything was going to be okay. I guess you were right at the end of the day.
Sienna Jade: We might sometimes bump heads and say mean things to one another, but I really appreciate you and I appreciate everything that you’ve done for EAW. I appreciate the community that you have built and how you’ll go to hell and back to protect EAW. The reason why I’m still here and haven’t entirely retired yet is because of Banks and I will always feel indebted to him. I appreciate and have so much love for you, Dad.
Sienna Jade: And onto the next topic, REVOLT! I’m sure anyone who has ever faced me in the past as Sienna knows all about my Freeweight title win because I simply can’t and won’t shut up about it. But folks, if it wasn’t for REVOLT! Pro Combat, I would’ve never met my other half… My Soulmate…
Sienna Jade: My Kassi-poo!!!
Sienna Jade: Kassidy Heart, the living, breathing legend as we know her today was once “Everyone’s Favorite Girlfriend” in her past life. Kassidy and I met in REVOLT! after we were tasked with facing one another in a weekly match. I recall reaching out to you via PMs and complimenting your work. And typically, whenever I reached out to anyone, I was either left on read or given a one-word response. Not my Kassi-poo!
Sienna Jade: Shortly after messaging Kassidy and getting a conversation going, I realized how much of a gem I had in front of me. Kassidy, you made e-fedding fun for me for the first time in the longest time. Working with you, collabing on promos, and creating the Jaded Hearts is still probably one of the greatest times I’ve had in this game. No one matches your creativity and commitment and I am so grateful we were able to work together and create something special. I am grateful for the friendship that we’ve had for 5 years and I just want to let you know that I appreciate you greatly. Your contributions have molded and shaped Sienna Jade into what she is today. There would be no Sienna Jade without Kassidy Heart.
Sienna Jade: And in typical Kendra fashion – After a few years of handling Sienna Jade I decided to take a brief hiatus with the character. I will admit, I was feeling a bit insecure about my work quality when it came to creating promos. Someone who has truly inspired me with her work ethic and creativity is none other than Sheridan Muller. THE Sheri-pie!!! I’ve taken a lot of inspiration from her marvelous work and she is also another contributing factor to who Sienna Jade is today. Not only that, but she has been one of the most amazing people to be around since her return in Season 15. In a time when I was ready to call it quits, Sheri emerged and encouraged me to stay. I love you, Sheri!!
Sienna Jade: After being in EAW for so many years, wondering when the right time to stop has been challenging. Years back, I didn’t want to leave EAW because I had this fear that the next time I would check it’d be gone. Now, I feel like EAW is in such a different place than years back. We have so many committed members that contribute to our site in such a positive manner. There are people who care about our community and what goes on in it. I am grateful for all of you that take time out of your busy schedules to write promos, write shows and segments, and create GFX, and amazing videos. I know that when it’s time to finally retire, EAW will continue to thrive and be in good hands. Thank you!
(‘Unfuckwithable’ begins to play through the speakers again as Sienna smiles and looks around at the excited crowd in attendance tonight for her induction. She mouths a thank you before waving as she turns around and takes her leave.)
Persephone: Congratulations to Sienna Jade, what an excellent speech! Now, for some reason I’ve been told to stop mentioning Rexy after every speech. I’m not sure why, but that’s okay. Sienna Jade has had a great career, full of success, World Championships, history making and more, and I’m sure she has even more to accomplish. Can’t wait! Anyways, moving onto the next inductee and I’m definitely looking forward to seeing what they have to say. This is another Elitist that probably deserves to be here. I am glad to see such great names being inducted into the Hall of Fame so let’s see who’s up next, joining Superior Quality 85, Jack Ripley, and Sienna Jade for 2023’s class!

(The scenes open and shows Veena Adams sitting in the confessional. She is checking her make-up, using the National Elite Championship as a mirror, and applying lip gloss. After she’s done, she pouts her lips, makes a duck face as if she is posing for a selfie, and then turns to the camera. She smirks.)
Veena Adams: Congratulations, Vizzy-Boo. Never forget who made you. 💋
(Veena tosses her hair and the scene fades out.)
(TLA is shown dragging a large electrical stove into the confessional. He plugs it into a power generator as he places a large pan on top of it and begins to cook.)

(TLA begins to cook on the stove he dragged into the confessional as fire alarms begin to go off and people rush into the confessional with fire extinguishers and it ends.)
(Cameron Ella Ava is seen in the confessionals.)
Cameron Ella Ava: Selfless, generous king. He was one of the first people that I recognized the work of and was just jaw dropped on the floor. The Visual Prophet dare to cross that line of being seen as extra, flamboyant and full of charisma and have such a creative way with words. Until then, I don’t think we’ve had many people arrive on the scene who are able to have all of those traits and be such an amazing promoer. It was either one or the other.
Cameron Ella Ava: Viz came at the right time and he was new, innovative, refreshing and contributed to bring the culture aspect in EAW. From my time helping out with Empire, I was amazed at some of the things that he written. He had this wonderful ability with storytelling that had would have been great as a head writer, but ask Eric Havoc and Milo Li what happened to that. :troll:
Cameron Ella Ava: I forever appreciate the idea how despite being a rising talent, someone who EAW was so invested in making him into an all-time great, he wanted to elevate other people. He didn’t look at the concept of losing as such a horrible thing, but something that wasn’t a big deal. He embraced whatever was thrown at him and made the most out of it. Continue to be goat, Viz! Congrats!
(We see Jake Smith in a confessional.)
Jake Smith: It feels like only yesterday when we both entered this company, you were just a little bit after me but the sentiment is still there. From the get go I think everyone knew that the Visual Prophet character was going to be special, and it was only going to be a matter of time before it reached the next level. And after being called up from Battleground and a certain picbase change in between, that was exactly what happened. And now we’re here, and it feels great.
Jake Smith: I’d like to thank you before I continue for putting up with my bullshit. I was a very childish person back then and I’m sure especially when you were Dynasty Head Booker you had a lot of high expectations for me that weren’t reached… I still wonder what would’ve happened with Lindsey Kingsley had she not given me the “Ew wtf” in chat . Then of course good ole Eric Havoc, no need to bring up what happened with that. You rolled with the punches and in the years since have only elevated your game even when it feels like you’ve already peaked.
Jake Smith: From The Sovereign to the short stint where you entered with Voodoo Child to the introduction of Dr. Angelo D’Angelo all the way to Chef Viz today, the Visual Prophet character is one that has consistently kept itself fresh and that is something that is not given enough credit. Without a shadow of a doubt was this going to be your moment, and I can say nothing more than congratulations for it!
(We see Roberto De La Rosa in a confessional.)
Roberto De La Rosa: If you ever wanted a good laugh or see what it’s like to compete firing on all cylinders, Visual Prophet was always there. An inspiration for all the newer elitists joining in and a true leyenda that deserved every championship and accolade he’s earned from his hard work!
Roberto De La Rosa: Whoever has been lucky enough to face him knows that it’s no easy feat to hang with the chef himself. A dream opponent for a lot of folks including myself but an even bigger role model for many people who want to reach the level he’s reached. All that’s left to say is cook Chef Viz cook!
(We see Minerva in a confessional.)
Minerva: The Visual Prophet was Minerva’s first crush, I was enamored by your character the moment I joined and was like, this guy is definitely a game changer. Your promos and antics gave me a lot of fun times in the EAW and characters like yourself were part of the reason I stuck around and came here full time, dropping everything else I had. I knew that it was only a matter of time before you were finally inducted into the Hall of Fame.
Minerva: I truly enjoyed all of our matches and feuds, always bringing out the best in me and everyone for that reason. You have been a constant here and I am glad that you as a handler, person and character are immortalized in the EAW. CONGRATULATIONS my friend. Cook Chef Viz…. COOK!
(Kassidy Heart is shown inside of a confessional and knowing who she’s about to talk about, brings a huge smile to her face.)
Kassidy Heart: What can I say about you that hasn’t already been said by me or anyone else for that matter? There is NO ONE like you in this game today and there probably never will be again. I’ll never forget when you first joined EAW and you were MVP. I was like ‘who the fuck is this guy’??? I mean, let’s be real. No one was using pic bases of past wrestlers so it was kind of a head scratcher. Like, am I supposed to take him seriously?
Kassidy Heart: One look at your promo against Noah answered that question. You were well-researched and you were just fucking great. Everything clicked and I think all of us knew that we had someone special amongst us. The fact that I can’t even think of your next pic base’s name off the top of my head speaks volumes about how fucking good you are, because whenever I pi-
Kassidy Heart: VELVETEEN DREAM!
Kassidy Heart: This isn’t even me being dramatic. I legit had to think about his name :mjlol:. The other day in discord, we were all chatting about pic bases and how sometimes we type the character’s name instead of the real person’s name. The Visual Prophet is literally how I remember who Velveteen Dream really is. We’re just not gunna get into all the sex pest shit and whatnot. It truly is a shame you changed from that pic base but I get it. I would have likely done the same. Hell, since Mandy started doing porn *(and you and Banks send that shit out in main chat knowing good and well it’s irritating as fuck)*, I have thought of changing her face. I mean, Kassidy is forever ByBrookelle anyway :troll:. We stan an Instagram model queen. But the point I’m making is the fact you were so well-known for that pic base and then switched to Big E, and now we all associate him with The Visual Prophet. Other level shit.
Kassidy Heart: I hate pic base changes. Remember the whole Raven Roberts to Deonna change? :yikes: *(sorry if you’re lurking, Raven, but you know how I felt about that, lol)*. They can ruin a character in my humble opinion. But for you? Not at all. Not even a little bit. Not even at all. Shout-out to Jake because I’m sure he knows where part of that quote comes from. You’re just too good. You’re just too talented. You are one of the very best creative writers I have ever seen and I have been around this game for awhile. You can turn anything you want into gold, literally and figuratively, and I am very glad that you found this place. I’m very glad that all of us have gotten a chance to read your work. One of the best things about EAW is how it rewards the many different styles of writing, but you know my heart. I know yours. Scene writers all the goddamn way.
Kassidy Heart: I’m extremely happy you’re being immortalized in our comfy little corner of the internet. Thank you for all the help you’ve given me over the years. You had your hands on Kassidy during her first UWC reign, and I thank you for listening to me and indulging the idea of The Mauler when it was at its very beginning. I feel blessed to have worked with you as a partner when we had Vizzy and Veena as a thing. You’re the best partner and only you could have loved a Tomi Lahren pic base :troll:. I have no doubt that the sky will continue to be the limit for you, because not only are you a great partner, you’re an even better opponent.
Kassidy Heart: I know I’ve gone over my allotted time but fuck it. I’m Kassidy Heart and no one’s cutting me off :D. It is extremely hard to find generous people in the world of efeds. There have been more times than I can count when you’ve let your opponents have their flowers at your expense, and it was your idea or something you wanted to do for someone else. That right there is invaluable. That right there sets you apart. That right there makes The Visual Prophet one of the very best on the promo page and behind the scenes.
Kassidy Heart: Congratulations, my friend. You have more than earned this.
(We see Drake King in a confessional.)
Drake King: It was really only a matter of time before someone as talented as Viz made it into the Hall of Fame. Just read his promos, even just one of them and you’ll know that there’s literally nobody like him. It’s been said time and time again just how creative he is but on top of it he’s just a great writer, and because of that he’s accomplished some amazing things.
Drake King: Getting to work with Viz in the past showed me personally just how well thought out his writing is, and if anything he doesn’t get enough credit for it. He’s been a head writer before, he’s been in tag teams, he’s been World Champion, he promoed his way into a Grand Rampage he wasn’t even originally in, he was even on Empire. He has basically done everything you could imagine and he has done such an amazing job with it every single time no matter what it is.
Drake King: He’s had so many amazing ideas whether it’s about his own gimmicks, tag teams, matches, entire shows, basically anything you could imagine. He’s one of the very best and he proved that years ago. I’m glad I was able to work with someone as talented as the Visual Prophet, and even more glad to see you get your moment.
(We see Ronn Banks in a confessional.)
Ronn Banks: Even tho u a bitch and a contrarian and I got a lot of gripes with u  I can’t say this isn’t deserving, you’ve had quite the run since joining and have been somebody who has been a top notch promoer since basically day 1. Very rarely if ever have we seen somebody join and hit the ground running in the way that you did as a newcomer, you even had the WHC at the time shook when you guys faced and it was only a matter of time till you become one yourself as long as you stayed consistent, which you did.
Ronn Banks: For the past 5 years you’ve been something of a standard bearer and an extremely creative mind. Your work here has been much appreciated whether as a promoer, a backup writer or your brief time as head writer for Dynasty even tho you shoulda told Eric Havoc to stfu . You’ve been a guy who as a booker I’ve been able to work off of in so many different ways because I know you would make the most of it and do your thing with it and that’s a special trait to have. Congrats. :wow:
(The Hall of Fame reopens back to the stage.)
Announcer: Here to induct the Visual Prophet into the Hall of Fame, please welcome… CHRIS ELITE!
(‘Invincible’ by Pop Smoke begins to play up as the camera then goes over to show Chris Elite, the crowd cheering loudly as he makes his way out to the stage. He has a light smirk on his face as he heads up to the podium, his theme then beginning to come to a close while Chris takes a moment to let the crowd quiet down before beginning to speak.)
Chris Elite: Today I’m here to induct an absolute game changer into the Hall of Fame. That’s going to be said alot today probably but I don’t think it really applies to anyone as much as it does to Viz. From the moment he stepped foot into EAW you knew he had IT. You also knew he would annoy the shit out of you and there wasn’t winning any argument with him no matter what it was or is. Nonetheless though you knew he was going to be special almost right away.
Chris Elite: He’s one of if not the most creative person I know. I mean his track record just speaks for itself. Till this day he still has the most creative match I’ve heard or seen in Prophetic Visions and I just feel like that’s something only he can come up with but that’s not all. This dude’s way with words is crazy he can sell water to a well plus more. I’ve never seen anything like it man, respect the dude just as much as I hate him. I mean how can you not hate someone who has tried to kill you with an exploding jeep?
Chris Elite: Viz and I have been through wars against one another. Things that a regular man wouldn’t be able to survive but he isn’t no regular man, you guys see him. You guys hear him when he speaks about himself and sure he’s a cocky bastard but is he lying? Viz came in here in less than 5 years and has put down your favorite elitist favorite elitist. He’s been to war with the best of them as well. I’m talking about Drake King, Malcolm Jones, Kassidy Heart and the list goes on and alot of those times he came out on top.
Chris Elite: He’s held title after title but all that aside guys. He’s probably one of the funniest people I’ve met too and that just comes along with his creativity and sure sometimes you give him an inch and he takes a mile and he won’t stop trolling you until he knows he’s won but that’s just Viz. He likes to win, he likes to entertain and that’s exactly what he does.
Chris Elite: I know I said it or have been saying it but this man’s creativity is literally unmatched and that’s something that I think we’ve all agreed on tonight. You heard everyone before this. He’s probably one of if not the most creative person EAW has come across. From promos to segments to even just tryna get Banks and I mad on discord he’s one creative dude. However I guess being on earth for as long as he has that’s what it comes with.
Chris Elite: Some of the things he says in any of the things I’ve mentioned before will just have you wondering. “How do you even come up with something like that” it’s honestly amazing to see and witness but I’m glad I did get to witness it. I’m glad I was part of the journey in some shape or form because this is a very deserved induction. They all are but this man right here you kind of knew what he was going to become.
Chris Elite: I know I’m mousekatool riding right now but I’m honestly honored to be the one to to induct him here into the Hall of Fame. Someone that’s guaranteed to give you a laugh. Someone that’s guaranteed to give you a great promo, match, segment and whatever else you might need from him.
Chris Elite: I can go on and on about what he’s done in this company or what he’s done for this company but I think it’s better he just tells you himself so please give a round of applause for The Wizard, The Chef, a man with many names, but most importantly…THE VISUAL PROPHET! Congratulations man, you deserve it.
(‘5 Milli’ By Icewear Vezzo is heard playing as the crowd cheers for the Visual Prophet as he’s seen making his way out to the stage. He shakes hands with Chris, both of them taking a moment to exchange words, before Viz makes his way up to the podium. His theme begins to come to a close as he looks up before beginning to speak.)
The Visual Prophet: Contrary to popular belief, I’ve been happy to play the background for the better part of a year or so now. My run as one of the top guys here was fruitful. It was exciting, fun, and cool. I put my status as a creative, as a talent, and as an influence against anyone. For whatever shortcomings and slights anyone may have towards me I shrug and laugh.
The Visual Prophet: This is a simple game and longevity, consistency, and creativity all matter in terms of how you become this. I found EAW at the end of 2018. I don’t remember what brought me here but regardless of how it got me to EAW, I arrived. This is the longest federation I’ve ever been a part of. This is the best federation I’ve been a part of.
The Visual Prophet: This group is a collection of some of the best, creative, unselfish, and community motivated folks in this limited scope of efedding. I have gotten on nerves more than I can count and I’ll apologize once for all of it. I will also thank everyone new, old, current, and even the ones that didn’t stink around as long for being a part of this experience. In the end, above all else, I’d hope at some point we all had some fun with this endeavor.
The Visual Prophet: I’ve run a show, I’ve written matches, I’ve helped create storylines, I’ve tried to help put over people when I can and I’ve done my fair share of promos. The one thing I feel like is underrated about my run here is that, far as I can remember, I’ve tried to never bully a writer for a spot. I’ve tried to not bitch about how my character is portrayed. I’ve tried to keep everything relevant to the game itself and just let things be more times than not.
The Visual Prophet: Maybe everyone does this and I’m not unique but every federation I’ve gone to in the time I’ve done this, it usually collapses or fails because of effort and ego. People want everything to be about them, all the focus, all the accolades, all the angles. I don’t feel like EAW is like that. If anything, the more effort you put in the better the experience can be especially for new people. The more creative you get the more excited people get to watch you succeed. The hardest part in my opinion is consistency and I get it more than most how hard that can be. But, you don’t get to this place without that above all else.
The Visual Prophet: I don’t want to ramble and truth be told I’d have liked to just say “Thank you” and keep it moving but you know Banks ass wanna ride dick and make me type so. Anyway, Banks we good. I’m an asshole and you learned to just let me be an asshole. If I was a Remi or one of them other types you would have been banned me but we both know that, until I’m gone gone, we can just work. My bad on some of those times I make it hard on you. I appreciate you for letting me be though this past year or so. Hopefully my contribution this weekend helps everyone. You a good guy even though I don’t know your real name and I think most of the music you post after 2018 is bad. I appreciate you embracing me. You are the best fed owner I’ve ever dealt with.
The Visual Prophet: Kass, DDD, Omar, Tajiri, Pehrox, Drake, Karl, Banks, TLA, Jake, HBB, Rex, LC, Terry, Ripley, Jamie, all we’re here when I joined and have been fun to bounce ideas, promos, jokes, and just shoot the shit with. Going at it with them and pretty much everyone since I joined has been either fun or annoying because some of you guys say some shit I’d probably slap you in the teeth about irl.
The Visual Prophet: Oh, Pehrox had a cow dog. Shout out to that cow dog. Shout out to Dyllan roaming the woods hunting Smurfs. Shout out Steroid Dog, Jake Mercer, and Epstein Island. Shout out to everyone I’ve worked with and everyone who I didn’t get a chance to work with.
The Visual Prophet: I made a promo on March 21st 2019 when I faced Myles for the New Breed title at Tempest. In that promo I predicted I’d be right here and here I am. Prophet. 💋
(‘5 Milli’ begins to play up again and Viz steps away from the podium, raising a hand in the air while the crowd once again begins to cheer loudly for him. He shows his Hall of Fame ring to the camera before then taking his leave.)
Persephone: The Visual Prophet, he’s just great isn’t he? Remember when Rex single handedly took his Unif- wait. i forgot I wasn’t supposed to mention him. I mean, remember his great World Championship wins, and all those classic matches he had over the years? Yeah me too. Definitely a great career that Viz should be very proud of! I think we have like one more inductee left to go through before I can leave, so let’s just bring them out here. We’ve already had the Visual Prophet, Sienna Jade, Jack Ripley and Superior Quality 85. Let’s see who the final inductee in the 2023 Hall of Fame class is!
(TLA is shown in a confessional holding a branding iron.)
TLA: You know that lil bitch Drake King one str8 loco motherfucker. Gotta beat the shit outta him get him right back up into that pinche Disney Fun House going to make sure he god dayum nightmare ain’t never end. Nah for real tho you know a vato gotta induct this pendejo the only way that I be knowing how. Gotta fill my confessional with as may fucking swear words as possible. You know he gonna have to pray extra hard for my soul after this. Nah for real tho we gotta show that luv show that respect to the homie. Drake getting all up into the Hall of Fame now. He the same age as SK so now he gets to be in the Hall of Fame just like SK. You know you still got a few years left tho so you best enjoy all the time you still got up in the retirement home my dawg.
(TLA is shown putting the branding iron into the camera of the confessional as it burns away and ends.)
(We see Roberto De La Rosa in a confessional.)
Roberto De La Rosa: If one Elitist deserves to be added into the Hall of Fame, it’s Drake King. A man who has done it all from winning championships, racking up accolades, and receiving awards like nobody’s business. Es una leyenda de verdad, he’s a legend in the living flesh! We all know that he’s one of the very best elitists inside that ring, but you are also a hell of a guy behind the scenes.
Roberto De La Rosa: From the jokes to even the normal conversation tu mi amigo are one of a kind and someone I am glad to have met and befriended in my time in EAW. I was lucky enough to share the ring with you once and I hope to do it again in the eventual future. All I can say now is congratulations my hermano, you deserve this and I hope you continue to prosper as well, con mucho amor, with love, from Roberto De La Rosa.
(Ms. Extreme is seen in the confessionals.)
Ms. Extreme: I find it difficult to understand how this guy can play this little shit on the screen. He does such a fantastic job with getting you to despise him and we get a kick at seeing his demise that you’ll see during Prophetic Visions or the Disney Funhouse match. At the same time, he remains one of those characters that you’ll somewhat feel bad for every now and then. The thought that Drake is able to put himself in situations that not a lot of people would place themselves in, come off as humorous or comedic during some points, I think that Drake does an excellent job with combining everything that we love to see in a wrestling script, from comedy to tragedy to being such a ruthless Elitist and having it come off so smoothly. I feel like he’s one of the very few Elitists next to DEDEDE and Viz who is able to don all of these masks of comedy, vulnerability, love, anger and just being an overall monster and not have it be so forced. Just interacting with him off the camera, he’s one of the most selfless individuals I have ever come across and highly deserving of this. Congratulations, Drake.
(We see Alex Myers in a confessional.)
Alex Myers: I know that I wasn’t around when Drake had first started here in EAW, but when I was introduced to it, it was because of him. Drake, along with others from the editing community had introduced me into EAW, and since the day that I joined, I haven’t looked back since, and he was one of the people who I will forever be grateful for.
Alex Myers: Everything he has done for the community has been amazing, he always inspired me to get better with my promos amongst so many other things, and without a doubt, this Hall Of Fame induction is well earned. Congrats, Drake. :wow:
(We see Komatsu Ogawa in a confessional.)
Komatsu Ogawa: There’s a lot that can be said about Drake, but I think the biggest and most important thing is just how much of a good friend he is. Drake is someone that never has anything real negative to say to anyone, he’s a nice guy who’s always there when somebody needs help with something or just needs a friend. I’m proud to call him one of my best friends because he’s someone I consider a brother. He’s someone that always knows how to lighten the mood when the chat needs it with his effortless humor and his general positive and kind attitude.
Komatsu Ogawa: I love that we share a lot of the same interests, be it anime, games, music, comics, etc, and it’s always a good day when he and I can talk about the stuff we like along with the rest of our great friends. Drake was one of the very first friends I made in EAW and I’m happy that our friendship has continued throughout the years I’ve been here. You deserve this induction and I’m glad to be able to see it. Keep being you and don’t change for anyone, I love you bro.
(We see Jon Kelton in a confessional.)
Jon Kelton: You know it’s crazy that you’re a Hall of Famer now but when I first came back you were fighting for your life in that Prophetic Visions match. In spite of, like, everything you’ve done and no matter how much your characters have gone through, you’ve always rolled with the punches and you’ve taken everything you’ve been given and ran with it gracefully. You’ve never not given 100% in anything that you do and I think that alone is what makes you great.
Jon Kelton: I don’t think I’ve ever seen you angry or upset about anything. I’ve never even so much as seen you complain. Well unless its Marvel related, then in which case you never seem to STOP complaining. Skill Issue, honestly. But in all seriousness, you deserve this . You’ve been a great friend, a great person and a great elitist, and I think we’re all thankful to have you around. Congratulations.
(We see Andre Walker in a confessional.)
Andre Walker: I’m super proud of you man. There’s NOBODY more deserving of this and you’ve been a consistent role model and workhorse for years now. Even more so as a person than as an elitist, which is crazy considering you’re gonna go down as an all time great, even though I think in most peoples eyes you’re already there. So proud of you dude and I’m excited for whatever life throws your way because I know you’ll handle it with a winning attitude. Keep being the gem that you are, love.
(We see Minerva in a confessional.)
Minerva: I didn’t want to say this in character because all Minerva would do is cuss out Drake and talk about what a terrible person he is. Instead I wanted to address the handler and the talent and commitment that he has to this game, the good nature and the constant level headed handler that is quick to post all those congratulatory messages on the board and is a huge supporter to all of us here. Justin, as Drake King you have created an incredible character that mommy Kass would probably have a coronary if you ever left Voltage. That speaks a lot about the person you are and the character that you have established as one of the best.
Minerva: I will say that when you and Myles along with myself ran New Eden it was the most fun I have had in e-fedding and I had been doing this for about 20 years and that speaks volumes to the storytelling and the overall work that you put into this. Drake King is an establishment and someone that can be looked upon as part of the top echelon in the EAW and it was because of your commitment to it. Seriously, for a humble person like yourself that goes with everything that has been given to you, all I can say which isn’t much more than anyone else has already said here, but you definitely are not only a huge part of this community, you are one of the true Hall of Fame icons to be inducted.
Minerva: My hat is off to you brother, you earned, deserved and are definitely one that belongs here not only as a character but as a handler and a genuine good person. CONGRATULATIONS my friend, enjoy it!
(We see Myles in a confessional.)
Myles: A man of hard work. A man of talent. A man of greatness. The rightful champion. The greatest of our generation. The best member of New Eden. Okay, now that I’m done introducing myself, here’s what I have to say about Drake. You know, Australia is known for its dangerous snakes, but even I can safely say that Drake King has gotta be the biggest snake I’ve ever seen.
Myles: They say when he was born he betrayed the doctor that delivered him and branded that poor man with an iron. And then he grew up to be one of the greatest to ever fucking do it. I mean, who would’ve expected the Zack Ryder pic base handled by a weird CFO$ listening freak to be one of the GOATs of the entire fed? And I’d like to add, he did it all without a single “fuck” in any of his promos. That’s special.
Myles: On a personal note, I think you’re one of the first people in all of EAW that I actually talked to. Even amongst the editors. In fact, I think my oldest memory of you is when we didn’t even know each other and you randomly challenged me to make an Aiden fucking English edit for some reason. I don’t know if you were stupider for suggesting that or if I was stupider for actually listening to you and making it. But since then, I’ve seen you grow as a human being, a promoer, and especially as a friend.
Myles: You’re the type of person that always manages to make people laugh without even trying, the type that’s always there to help out even when you don’t need to. And because of all this and much much more, I can say that I’m so glad to be able to see you be inducted into this. And now I’m going to spoil Attack on Titan’s ending. So basically-
(We see Chris Elite in a confessional
Chris Elite: Drake you little shit you probably have one of the best rises I’ve seen in efeds. From the promos you were first cutting to the stuff you are doing now. It’s truly amazing and you deserve this. One of my favorites to compete against and just an overall great person even if you are a little asshole sometimes. You are officially an old head welcome to the club!
(We see Jake Smith in a confessional.)
Jake Smith: You’re probably going to see this while you add bits and pieces into the Hall of Fame script, and to that I say fuck you! Stop cheating! Read this with everyone else motherfucker!
Jake Smith: Now that he’s gone, let’s shout out the fact that he’s not obligated to, but he’s helping write the same Hall of Fame show he’s being inducted in, if that doesn’t scream incredibly selfless, I don’t know what does. But anyway, I think it goes without saying how much Drake means to me. We’ve known eachother since the beginning of time at this point and beyond Killdriver telling me to jump off a cliff he is one of the earliest interactions I had since joining this wrestling sphere on Discord. Since then I find it kind of hard to believe that we’re here now, we’ve made it this far, and we’ve gotten the opportunity to work with eachother so much more because let’s fucking admit this to ourselves, we were the only people who wouldn’t say no to anything no matter what it was.
Jake Smith: From writing Grand Rampage and still being in the middle of it while the match was being commentated, to the MVEs, to the matches, to the times where you come into my dms and verbally berate (little exaggeration) me because I wrote something wrong in my Voltage segment, you and I are here together and hasn’t it just been fun. You and I have been through it all, thick and thin, and knowing all of that and how close I am to you it is just surreal to see you have this moment for yourself just like I am sure everyone has anticipated.
Jake Smith: I don’t want to take up much more time, but a lot of people want to hound me, especially the people that I invite, for the company that I bring into EAW. But the main reason I do so is because it has allowed me to create such genuine connections such as the one Drake and I have had that goes beyond e-fedding, and create moments that you will never forget for the rest of your life. This isn’t just a e-fed, we’re all a family here, and I have cherished every moment for years now. There is nobody that can replace Drake in my life, he has helped me through so much that I can’t even describe. Now he gets to have all his work recognized. So Justin Raction, from the bottom of my heart, thank you. I love you man, enjoy this all while you can, and congratulations!
Jake Smith: Also you know ur special when the entire e-fed comes together to write you a confessional. Fucking bum.
(We see Ronn Banks in a confessional.)
Ronn Banks: So I’m sure I’m #100 of Drake King confessionals and he definitely doesn’t need any more of these because apparently most of the efed already decided to give only Drake King a confessional and ignore everybody else in this class like assholes but Drake’s my guy so I gotta put my two cents in :wow:.
Ronn Banks: This one is very near and dear to my heart. A lot of people, especially younger and newer members, might look at Drake and see the spot he’s in today and think there’s no way they could ever reach that, but little do they know just how far Drake has come in his time here. That’s why this is so special to me because I remember when he was arguably the absolute worst promoer in EAW as a 14 or so year old newcomer just getting into this game and then it didn’t take long for him at all to take to this and gradually improve and become a promising prospect to becoming a multiple time world champion and PFP headliner to now a hall of famer. It seems like it all happened overnight and I couldn’t be any prouder of Drake, one of the most consistent, dedicated, reliable and LEVEL-HEADED :deaf_man_tone5: members I have EVER had the pleasure of working with, whether it be as my opponent or as my roster member.
Ronn Banks: Always someone willing to work with whatever storyline he’s thrown and adjust his character and always someone who gives his all no matter what. Easily one of my favorite people to ever book and despite the crying from people about your spot at the time, you proved them all wrong and made them all believers. I know I used the analogy last year with Xander’s bitch ass, but this is the living embodiment of trust the process. Trust your work, as long as you know you’re putting in the work you have nothing to worry about, it’ll pay off in due time just like it did for Drake. Drake King is THE PROCESS. And now The Process has led to the Hall of Fame :wow:. Congrats goat and for old times sake….. Ok.
(For the last time tonight, Kassidy Heart is seen inside of the confessional.)
Kassidy Heart: I was actually going to read your first promo as my confessional but Banks stole my thunder and bumped it. That promo needs to be shown to the entire world again because you are the very definition of ‘trust the process’. There are few people who are able to improve at the rate you have, but then again, you’re a special case. To be the biggest piece of shit this place has ever seen as the overlord of Voltage and a part of New Eden, to the underdog against the evil Methuselah who’s made you the object of his unwanted affection. It’s fucking incredible. It’s been a hell of a ride. And this is just in the last twelve months. That stuff I just mentioned doesn’t even begin to scratch the surface of the rest of your legacy. You have been a part of some of the most insane and most memorable matches of all time. And on a personal note, you have been a huge source of inspiration for me. I’m at my creative best when I’m booking your character and the thought of Voltage without Drake King makes me die just a little bit inside. Shut the fuck up, Banks :umad:. You have truly come to mean that much to not just me, but to everyone else here, but honestly, it’s what you do behind the scenes that stands out even more.
Kassidy Heart: Our brand, Voltage, wouldn’t be half of what it is without your hard work and effort. Being a showrunner and a writer is often a thankless job but you handle the pressure with so much grace that I am constantly in awe. You’re good at what you do, Drake, and humble as fuck about your talent and contributions. But I truly mean it when I say that you’re one of the best there is at every aspect of this game. Your matches are perfect. I have seen you come into your own as a segment writer, especially this season. You have handled some of the most challenging and difficult characters to write for better than I could have and that’s a true compliment to you because while I’m a self-loathing motherfucker at the best of times, I know I’m a great segment writer. You, better than anyone, know how demanding and picky I am when it comes to writing for other characters. I want them to be treated with respect, as if they were your own creation, and while neither of us have gotten things right every single time, it’s been a pretty good process that’s allowed us both to grow and thrive.
Kassidy Heart: From the very beginning of my tenure as the Voltage headbooker, you have been there. You have transitioned from writer to the co-booker, and we are a hell of a team. As taxing as it is to sit there all day on a Sunday and write and put a show together, you do it without complaint and I will never have enough words to tell you how grateful I am for that. You take on more than your fair share, and Voltage is just as much yours as it is mine (and I guess we can share with Jake, but only a tiny piece because he’s still just Jake), and I hope you know I truly mean that. Without you, there is no Voltage, because we know if it were left up to me, that shit would never get done or posted on time :mjlol:.
Kassidy Heart: There are a lot of stories I could share, but the most amusing one to me happened very early in our time on Voltage. You were writing a match for Charlie Marr and Cameron Ella Ava and you asked me if it was okay if Charlie tied Cameron to the ring with a rope :mjlol:. Remember when you thought that might be a little too violent?? Two years later, your character is losing a finger in a chainsaw death match. I love it, and I truly love that next season, we can bring Voltage back to its roots :blessed:. Blood. Guts. Gore. :drakelike:. I fucking love it.
Kassidy Heart: Speaking of stories, another one just came to mind. I was helping Raven proof a match for Showdown years ago. Jake had written it and my Gawd, that shit was awful. BACK THEN JAKE WROTE MATCHES LIKE THIS IN ALL RUN ON SENTEANCES AND CAPITAL LETTERS AND SPELLING MISTAKES WITH NO PUNCUATION BECAUSE HE DIDNT BELIEVE IN IT NOR DID HE WRITE WORDS LIKE DIDNT SHOULDNT AND HAVENT THE PROPER WAY WITH APOSTROPHES BUT DO YOU SEE WHERE IM GOING WITH THIS
Kassidy Heart: No question mark, because like I said, Jake didn’t know what that was, or what any sort of punctuation mark was, but I digress. Needless to say, I was frustrated as fuck, cussing Raven out for giving me one of the worst pieces of writing I had ever seen, and I didn’t bother to check your promos to make sure your character was being handled correctly. I ad-libbed a bunch of shit, including having Drake King drop fucking f-bombs :mjlol:. I am so sorry, lmao. I didn’t know you didn’t swear in character or in real life at the time. You were just starting to set yourself apart from the idiot who chanted “OK” for a living and I wanted to make you edgy. So future opponents of Drake, somewhere in the Season 12 archives I bet you can find Drake King swearing. You’re welcome.
Kassidy Heart: And finally, Drake, thank you for everything you have done for me. I appreciate you. I adore you. I think the world of you. I would probably kill for you in real life, although I’m still not convinced you’re not a serial killer or a drug lord, because who has to take that many 20-minute breaks during random hours of the day?? You are truly one of a kind and no matter what Banks says, don’t ever change. Stay the humble emotionless fuck that replies to paragraphs with ‘alright’ or ‘ok’. Stay the person who only ever says ‘lmaoo’ after a joke and responds to a heartfelt message with a simple ‘ty’. You are the best of us, never ever forget that. Congratulations on becoming an EAW Hall of Famer.
(The Hall of Fame reopens back to the stage.)
Announcer: Here to induct Drake King into the Hall of Fame, please welcome… Xander Payne!
(‘It Follows’ by Cane Hill begins to play up as Xander Payne begins to make his way out. He has a warm smile on his face as he looks out to the crowd before walking on the stage and heading over to the podium. He takes a moment to think while his theme comes to a close, nodding his head before then beginning to speak.)
Xander Payne: Man, man, man. Where do I even start? It was already overwhelming enough for me to process how quick time has went when I was inducted into the EAW Hall of Fame last year, and now I have had the past couple of weeks trying to scrunge together the perfect words to say as I now have the opportunity to personally induct someone else into the EAW Hall of Fame. Drake King; man who would have thought? Who would have thought that this little troll who spammed nothing but one word in general chat would be in this position today? I always knew that he already had potential, but it is just astounding to see how far we have come and how all of these years have just flashed by us.
Xander Payne: There are many aliases that he goes by; Justin, JR, Jraction, but today he is going to be cemented into the annals of history as Drake King.. and to think that this guy first planted his seeds into the world of e-fedding as a CM Punk character in one of my e-feds, Trons Pro Wrestling.
Xander Payne: And to think that I was the first guy that Justin thought of who would induct him into the Hall of Fame… I usually never do confessionals for these kinds of things and I figured that making the induction video for him was enough… but since he made the call for me to induct him tonight.. Just know, he knew what he was doing.
Xander Payne: So, I am going to do that one thing that he absolutely despises.. because in that annual discussion on where we look back at our humble beginnings and compare them to where we were at the time.. We always got to talk about our promos, don’t we? We were all pretty garbage at the beginning.. and Justin especially was!
Xander Payne: What I am about to do right now is one-hundred percent of all time and especially something he would never consent to.. and what I am going to do to you and show you the first ever promo that I ever saw produced by Justin.
Xander Payne: “I don’t get why you are called the Big Red Machine, when you really are just the Big Fat Jobber”?!?!?! What was he cooking?!?!
Xander Payne: AND LET’S LOOK AT THIS ONE!
Xander Payne: If I took a shot everytime that he said “Will,” I would be back to being an alcoholic again!
Xander Payne: So.. to think that Justin went from this? TO AN EAW HALL OF FAMER? That is just crazy to me, and even as I am up here, it is just so difficult for me to fathom. I really can’t believe that he has gotten this far.
Xander Payne: He essentially started as a CM Bank$ clone, cutting fifty word promos that were basically filled with nothing.. but there was something about Justin where I knew that he had a boatload of potential within him. He was, of course, a part of the huge wave of recruitments that I brought into Elite Answers Wrestling from the community of wrestling titantron makers. He is, no offense to all those who were a part of that wave, the face of that group. I always knew he had potential, but if you asked me that we would be inducting him into the EAW Hall of Fame five years later, then my eyes would be popping out of my socket in mad confusion because I never knew that Justin would reach this level of greatness.
Xander Payne: He is the epitome of going above and beyond in an e-federation. He makes me proud knowing that my recruiting efforts did not go in vain because there were bad apples here and there… I brought a shit ton of people into this company, but there were only a few that actually remained and put the hours! but Justin worked his ass off.. from doing the bare minimum with a CM Punk character, to shapeshifting from Zack Ryder, to Daniel Bryan, to finally making one of the greatest stories of this era as ‘The Redeemer,’ Drake King as Seth Rollins. Justin was patient with his character and others, he took feedback and the fact that he went with anything that was given to his character goes to show he is one of the most selfless and giving writers in Elite Answers Wrestling of all-time. He has been instrumental in helping Kassidy make sure that Voltage keeps winning Show of the Year over and over again. He has been instrumental in legitimizing the main event scene here with his Drake King character. He has even been instrumental in helping EAW develop in terms of graphics and video editing. He has been a role model to everyone here in Elite Answers Wrestling… and I thank him for everything that he has contributed to this place.
Xander Payne: If we want to go even far back, it is even more crazy to consider how this would be the dynamic between us. Justin’s first ever experience with Elite Answers Wrestling was when I forced him to join the discord and cheer me on as I won the EAW New Breed Championship at Payne For Pride 1. Four Payne For Prides later, I am inducting him into the EAW Hall of Fame. Does that not sound crazy?
Xander Payne: He was dickriding me in his first moments here and now he has the audacity to make me induct him right now! Crazy.
Xander Payne: What is even crazier is my first interaction with him was when I thought he was a bit out of line in chat. He told someone something that is not even characteristic for how he is nowadays, and he told someone “KYS,” and I pulled him to the side… I spoke to him as if he was younger than me.. warned him.. and I originally wrote him off as just another one of the trolls in the wrestling editing community.. but oh how I was wrong.. How I was wrong to talk to someone that would eventually come into Elite Answers Wrestling and eclipse my talent in the matter of a year.
Xander Payne: I am incredibly proud that Drake King took the torch and ran marathons with it.. because his existence here in Elite Answers Wrestling always reminds me that my hard work here at my beginnings in this company did not go to waste…
Xander Payne: …and I am also incredibly proud to be able to call Drake King a friend after all these years. We both had some rough up and down moments in our friendship, but Drake has served as a wonderful support for me and many others not even just in Elite Answers Wrestling, and I thank him on behalf of everyone for that. He may be one of the most stubborn and ignorant pieces of garbage that has ever graced this planet, but Justin has proven himself to be a stand-up guy and I couldn’t be any more prouder to call him a friend and even induct him into the Hall of Fame.
Xander Payne: I could go on and list all of Justin’s accomplishments in and outside of the squared circle in this speech, but I know it doesn’t need to be said because everyone knows how great of a writer, how great of a promoer, how great of a human being Justin really is. Everyone knows who Drake King is… and after tonight.. The whole world will know about Drake King forever.. but before we bring this guy out to the ring..
Xander Payne: I want to thank the one guy who has made this all responsible and is the only reason why Drake King is here in the first place…
( Xander takes a deep breath, looks down, wears a shit-eating grin and starts to yell his next few words. )
Xander Payne: WHICH IS ME.. BECAUSE I MADE THAT SON OF A BITCH!
Xander Payne: DRAKE KING WOULD BE NOTHING WITHOUT ME! I MADE HIM! I BIRTHED HIM FROM MY WOMB! HE IS MY CHILD IN THIS INDUSTRY! THERE WOULD BE NO REDEEMER WITHOUT ME! THERE WOULD BE NO NEW EDEN WITHOUT ME! THERE WOULD BE NO INDUCTION TONIGHT WITHOUT ME.. AND DON’T YOU FORGET THAT!
Xander Payne: DRAKE KING SHOULD BE INDUCTING ME TONIGHT!! HOW ABOUT WE INDUCT ME! YOU KNOW WHAT!?!?
( Everyone here in the crowd seems shock to what Xander Payne is doing in this speech. )
Xander Payne: THIS IS MY INDUCTION NOW!! DRAKE SHOULD COME OUT NOW AND THANK ME FOR MAKING HIS CAREER!!
( Xander snaps out of it and takes a deep breath. )
Xander Payne: I am just joking of course! Sorry, my bad.. Old habits, die hard.
Xander Payne: It was always a running gag, hell, even in and outside of character that I made Drake King.. but at at the end of the day, all I did for Drake King was introduce him to the environment.. and he was the one who adapted and succeeded in it… and there won’t be another Drake King ever again…
Xander Payne: So, ladies and gentlemen… Allow me to have the honor of introducing you today.. ONE OF MY CLOSEST FRIENDS.. A ONCE-IN-A-LIFETIME WRITER.. AND ONE OF THE GREATEST E-FEDDERS TO EVER DO IT.. TO BE INDUCTED INTO THE EAW HALL OF FAME CLASS OF 2023…. DRAKE KING!!
(‘Low of Solipsism II’ by Yoshihisa Hirano begins to play as the crowd can’t help but give a loud positive reaction on this special occasion for the first time in a very long time for Drake King. He begins to make his way out, with a frankly very serious expression on his face. He passes by Xander, who offers a handshake, to which Drake only glares at before passing by, Xander only chuckling as he makes his way to the back. Drake makes his way up to the podium, an unhappy look on his face while his theme begins to fade out, before leaning forward and beginning to speak.)
Drake King: :francis: I’m really not sure why I was given this, or why I am here right now.
Drake King: I never asked to be inducted into the Hall of Fame, and I’m not sure why anyone would think that I want to be part of something like this. The Hall of Fame is a celebration of everything wrong with the wrestling industry. It glorifies all of the horrible things the people in this company due to each other for the sake of their own personal success, and I am not going to celebrate something like this knowing that if I do, things may never change around here.
Drake King: As I’ve said for the past three years, this industry needs to change. To do that we need to get rid of the Hall of Fame!
Drake King: I’m joking.
Drake King: Don’t worry, as much as I’d love to follow in Charlie Marr’s footsteps and do an entire speech in character, there’s really no way I can do that right now. There’s no way I could actually stay in character and not give the countless people who’ve helped me get to this spot the respect that they deserve. There’s a lot that I’m seriously really thankful for, and I don’t even know where to start.
Drake King: This is the first efed that I’ve ever been part of. The first efed like this, at least. I’m sure Pehrox already touched on it, but I started out as an editor and eventually that brought me to TPW, which was an editing-based efed owned by him. There’s a lot more details to it, but to summarize it, that server is the reason that I’m here.
Drake King: If Pehrox never decided to @ the entire server to join EAW to watch him win the New Breed title at Pain for Pride there’s a chance I never would’ve become interested in joining EAW, and there’s no telling whether or not I would’ve found out about it at all. Getting an entire server to join solely to watch you win a Championship is hilarious, but Pehrox doing that clearly had a major effect and that can’t be ignored.
Drake King: Pehrox is the reason that I’m here, and it’s really not even just me. When you think about all of the editors to join EAW since 2018, and even the people that were eventually invited because of this community, it all traces back to Pehrox. It honestly was really difficult deciding who I wanted to induct me because of everyone that has played such an important role throughout my time here, but knowing that I wouldn’t be here at all without him, I have to take the time to say thank you.
Drake King: Pehrox is one of the many people I’ve known since 2018, and he was one of the very first people in the community that I’ve known. We both make our jokes to each other and we’ve both had our disagreements and issues, especially way back in 2018, but I can’t say enough how much I appreciate him. He’s easily one of the most all around talented people in EAW, he’s one of the funniest, he’s one of the best writers, and he’s one of my closest friends. There’s a lot of things that happened way back in 2018 that I don’t look back on very fondly, but one thing I’ll always be happy with is the fact that Pehrox convinced me to join EAW. There’s no telling just how different things would’ve been had I never joined, and honestly I think things turned out in the best way they could’ve.
Drake King: This all started back in 2017 when I saw wrestling custom titantron videos on YouTube and decided I wanted to start making them myself, not even realizing exactly how they’re made :mjlol:. It’s because I started editing that I met guys like GS/Myles, way before I even joined any of these editing discords in the first place. In a way it’s honestly full circle that we actually got to work together here, but I’ll have a lot more to say about that in a bit.
Drake King: The editing community had a huge impact on my life and it’s honestly the reason I became more and more of a wrestling fan as time went on, given that I literally only started watching the product in 2016. As immature as so many of us were back then, I can’t imagine that things would’ve turned out any better if I hadn’t had the opportunity to meet the people that I did. I talk about it every now and then, but I’m not the type of person that tends to look back on old events very fondly.
Drake King: I hate some of the decisions I made, I hate the type of jokes I used to make, and I even don’t enjoy looking back on most of my old promos (including that first EAW promo that always makes me cringe), but I’ll always acknowledge that getting through all of that has allowed me to grow and become more mature as time went on, and I’m grateful that so many people had faith in me despite how immature I was back when I was younger.
Drake King: When I first signed up to EAW, I had absolutely no idea what I was doing. It took months to write even a single promo that reached 1k, and even longer to start writing promos that I could actually look back on today and at least believe are okay. Despite this, people had enough faith in me to give me major marquee matches, to give me opportunities at the New Breed Championship, to allow me to be the one to retire Heart Break Boy, and to allow me to win my first Championship within my first season here.
Drake King: I was treated with so much kindness and so much generosity, more than I really even deserved, and I have to thank everyone involved with that. Raven, Cage, HBB, Banks, I appreciate all of that so much and knowing the kind of trust people had in me back in that first year was just as crazy back then as it is today. For HBB to have been okay with me doing something that significant within my first six months here is insane, but it just goes to show how selfless he is and it makes me glad that I’ve been able to face him with other characters as I’ve grown as a writer.
Drake King: I appreciate all four of you for what you’ve done for me in season 12, and I hope that I’m not forgetting anyone but if I am I hope they know that I appreciate them as well. I’m not the most creative person, and this is known. It took me a while to really settle in here, to the point where an entire gimmick was made out of my refusal to respond with anything other than “Ok”, but over time I began to realize just how much fun all of this really is.
Drake King: I got to the point where I’m writing more than one promo a week, where I’m writing more than around 500 words in a promo, and eventually it reached the point that by 2019 I ended up making a second character. None of this would’ve happened if EAW wasn’t such a great community, full of people that are kind, helpful, funny, and so much more than has made this experience so great.
Drake King: Really looking back, I legitimately didn’t know what I was doing here. I never had much of a clear vision for what character I was trying to portray, and I’ve explained this before but literally the only reason I ever wanted Seth Rollins as my picbase and switched from DBry to him is because he’s my favorite wrestler. I don’t know what I was cooking honestly considering my first picbase was Zack Ryder, but we don’t have to talk about that.
Drake King: Moving on to my first Championship reign, which was with the Interwire Championship, and if my memory serves me correctly this is the first time Jake and I have worked together in literally any way… Outside of a fatal four way match at the very end of 2018. I don’t mean just as characters either, but as efedders in general.
Drake King: There’s a lot I could say about Jake, but given the fact that I’ve teamed with him with both of our characters, we wrote a Grand Rampage together, we help each other out time and time again and we’ve known each other since 2018, there’s not much that even needs to be said. It’s all self explanatory, there’s really not many people I could say I’m as close with as I am with Jake, and while we were already friends back in 2018, the Round Table might just be what caused us to be associated with each other as much as we’ve been since. For a stable consisting of a year 1 Jake and Drake, Jake pretending to be his friend, and a certain former member… Things worked out pretty well for us if you ask me.
Drake King: I’m not exaggerating when I say that I’ve worked with Jake almost every single week for the past few years. Whether it’s him helping with Voltage stuff, me helping with Dynasty stuff, MVE’s, the collabs we’ve done as both the Realm and Round Table, matches we worked on together, matches against each other, and so much more, I’m not sure if there’s anyone I’ve *worked with* more.
Drake King: Jake is another person who deserves far more credit than he gets, because just like Pehrox he is constantly met with jokes and all of that by us and I hope that it’s remembered just how much effort Jake has been putting in here. Writing Dynasty, editing videos, handling two characters, being the one that actually posts stuff for Voltage, marquee events, MVE’s, archives and more. He obviously had a huge impact on my trajectory as a writer given everything I said, and for that I want to thank him. Amazing writer, one of the most dedicated people in EAW, and one of my closest friends.
Drake King: In 2019 I faced a lot of opponents that I personally believed helped me grow as a writer. My feuds with Terry Chambers, Cage, Impact, my matches against TLA, and my participation in 2019’s Dynasty chamber helped me out so much. All of these guys are so talented, and TLA specifically is definitely the guy I’ve faced the most in EAW and that’s not something I’m mad about given how great of a writer he is. The second half of 2019 and the first half of 2020 might just be the turning point of my time here.
Drake King: I was obviously really starting to settle in and get comfortable as a writer, and this all led to me making Harper which was a character that existed both so I could play a face (funny how that worked out), and so I could play a character that felt more in line with who I actually am while I allowed Drake to just keep being Drake. There’s a lot I can say about my time writing for Harper and going from just a regular face that happened to have my interests to getting to just lean more into being annoying and fun and honestly just having a really good time… But this is about Drake King, so before I can do that there’s something else big that happened around that time period that I should address, and that was my first World Championship win.
Drake King: I can’t thank Banks enough for the amount of faith he’s had in me throughout my entire time in EAW. I know I’ve said this a lot already and I’m going to say it even more after this, but this is the best opportunity I’ll ever get to thank everyone responsible for this so I’m gonna take it. I could’ve easily ended up being another one of the editors that just never lasted back in 2018 and instead ended up disappearing, but that didn’t happen.
Drake King: Despite the people we were associated with at the time and despite the fact that I really wasn’t doing much when I started, I reached this point where TLA and I had a World Championship match together and Banks has played just as big, if not an even greater role to that rise as everyone I’ve mentioned so far. We all know how much Banks does, and has done for EAW, but one thing that’s not mentioned enough is how much he’s done to help newer Elitists and help build the future of EAW. I’m glad that I could do my part and not disappoint, and I’m even more glad that I received that opportunity in the first place.
Drake King: That World Championship reign was so much fun, and another person I have to credit for my season 13 was a fellow inductee, Viz. Viz was very important to me because he was aligned with me basically the entire season. Whether it was as the head writer of the show I was on, as my tag team partner in Drizzy & Vizzy or as my opponent in Prophetic Visions which legitimately might have been the most important match of Drake King’s time as a character, he’s been there through that entire year and he’s done so much to help establish me as a member of the main event scene. I enjoyed our time both as teammates and opponents, and honestly if you’re a new member here just go and take the time to read the Prophetic Visions match from Pain for Pride 13. It’s one of the greatest things I’ve ever read, and it’s funny knowing that the same person that wrote it is who I’m facing at Pain for Pride this weekend.
Drake King: Methuselah, DDD, you’re just the best. What’s there to say? The promos, the matches, the character, it’s all incredible. 100000/10. It’s easy to try and summarize a match like Prophetic Visions, where we didn’t even meet in the ring until the very end, as some sort of “burial” or something that makes me look worse, but in reality it was so amazing for my character that it literally turned out to be the driving force in the last three years of Drake as a character. You don’t get Messiah Drake without Prophetic Visions. You don’t get New Eden, you don’t get my last two Pain for Pride matches, you don’t get this year’s Pain for Pride match without Prophetic Visions. That match was so unbelievably creative, and I’m happy that the end of that reign happened in such grand fashion.
Drake King: After Pain for Pride 13 Drake King was gone for around a month, which left Harper as my sole character throughout that time. I believe it was around that time that I was facing Sarah Price, which led to the Realm being made, and that was a trio that I really wish lasted longer. Sarah was a super talented writer and I’m always gonna enjoy teaming up with Jake, and while things may not have worked out with the stable, I’m glad we made the most out of the tag team. It wasn’t until Bloodsport 2020 that Drake King returned, and since that return, Drake has spent the last three years as a member of the Voltage roster.
Drake King: Kassidy, thank you so much.
Drake King: Season 12-13 was amazing for me, and there might be even more people to thank than I have for those two seasons which really says a lot, but in my eyes Drake King grew as a character because of everything that’s happened since Bloodsport 2020, and that doesn’t happen without Kassidy. She pushed me out of my comfort zone as I now suddenly became a character that hates the idea of greed and is obsessed with cleansing the wrestling industry and pushing the business forward, and overtime having to work with that kind of craziness has become very fun.
Drake King: I’ve really found my footing where I’ve allowed Harper to be the more arrogant and cocky character while Drake is trying to convince people he’s literally a God, and Kassidy has been so influential that it genuinely can’t be said enough. This was my third season on the Voltage roster and I have enjoyed every single week that I’ve been on this show, because for the past three years I have gotten so many opportunities. Not even to compete for titles and gain so many amazing accolades, but to become a better writer.
Drake King: This was all without even mentioning the fact that I’ve spent all these years as a member of the Voltage writing team. I know how much time, effort and care is put into Voltage because I’ve literally seen the work being done. These past three years are the years I look on the fondest as a promoer, and I don’t say this as disrespect to anyone that has written for me in the past, especially given the fact that they’ve given me so much. If anything, I’m saying this to say that I love Messiah Drake as a character. Whether it’s early Drake the Redeemer, New Eden, Disney Drake, post-wicked games End of the World, there have been so many amazing stories and matches to come out of it and I feel much better about my ability to deliver in these matches in recent history than I do about my first few years. I appreciate you so much Kassidy, and I’m glad we’ve been able to work together for Voltage for all this time.
Drake King: 2021 was one of, if not my favorite year for Drake. I’ve thanked Banks for so much already and it says a lot that I haven’t even mentioned him trusting me with both that Interwire Championship win and the fact that he allowed me to be the one that ended the Malcolm Jones character. It just goes to show how selfless he is and how much he really did trust me. Even beyond that there was the Grand Rampage win, which obviously has been referenced a lot for the whole 41 promo thing since having no life + being competitive can really take you places here, but there’s one more thing about 2021 that I absolutely could not go this whole speech without mentioning. New Eden.
Drake King: New Eden was another thing I have to thank Kassidy for as she made the decision to pair the three of us together, but I also have to thank GS and Omar for just being the best partners and eventual opponents possible. I have to talk about the two of you separately because I have too much to say to keep it short, but I am never exaggerating when I talk about how much I love New Eden.
Drake King: I legitimately was worried for a time about the possibility of us splitting up just because of how amazing we were as a trio, although it says a lot when that split up resulted in as amazing of a story as it did. Kassidy did an amazing job with all three of our characters all this time, and you two were the perfect people to work with. I genuinely believe that you two are some of my best opponents in terms of my consistent writing quality, because we’ve really had a lot of matches in the past two years and I genuinely believe that every single one of those matches were great weeks of promos.
Drake King: GS, Myles, Golden, Lightning McQueen, whatever you prefer, you’re probably the first person in this entire fed that I knew which is wild to think about. We legit met each other on Youtube, before you even had over 1k subscribers and before I even joined any discord servers, and a few years later we ended up in the same team in EAW. You’re obviously another one of my closest friends here and it’s awesome knowing how much we’ve gotten to work together in the past few years.
Drake King: We’ve been allies and enemies, and it has all been so fun. I have always considered you the best when it comes to editing (which is why you should do it more), and seeing your work for the past few years when it comes to writing has been just as great. You were already good back in your very first run, but since your return at the 2020 GR you took things to a whole new level and you never stopped getting better. You deserve everything you’ve gotten, and I’m glad you found the success you have.
Drake King: Omar, it is still insane to think that you manage to handle such completely different characters who are all so amazing, and knowing how you do it nowadays as a head writer is even more impressive. I’m glad that you’ve reached the heights you have with your characters, and I’m also glad to have been able to both work with and face Minerva as much as I have. Minerva is such an interesting character and New Eden + the New Eden feud in my eyes has really elevated all three of us as characters.
Drake King: New Eden obviously gave me the opportunity to work with you more, and this really gave me another look at just how creative you are. I’m not even sure how many know this but you’re the one that came up with the name “New Eden” in the first place. On top of that you wrote the Disney Funhouse match, and I think the fact that it won a match of the year award says exactly how incredibly creative that was. You’re such an essential part of EAW and I’m glad that we had the chance to work together for so long. While we’re on the topic, you’re an amazing head writer and I’m also glad that you’ve gotten to write one of my characters for so long.
Drake King: Minerva, Myles and Drake have really had their careers intertwined for so long, and it’s amazing. Fun fact by the way, every EAW World Champion in the last two years since PFP14 has been one of the three New Eden members. Just had to put that out there 💯. #NoOneButNewEden
Drake King: Seriously though I really do appreciate it all, because even after the New Eden triple threat feud wrapped up I have been involved in so many interesting stories. Season 16 was great, and the fact that in 2023 alone I got to have the two matches I’ve wanted for years is unreal. Jamie and DDD were dream opponents of mine, and it’s insane that I’m at a stage now where I’m actually getting these matches, in marquee main events at that.
Drake King: I have definitely come a long way since I first started, and not to be cliche or anything but it’s exactly why people should just trust the process even if things don’t go their way immediately. I’m not perfect, and I’m not going to pretend I am. I’ve had losses that initially hurt and I have had moments that I wasn’t a fan of, but if I didn’t stick around or if I let a few losses leave some huge effect on me I probably wouldn’t be here right now. Even if I don’t look back on my own writing fondly, I absolutely recognize just how important it is staying patient and really just doing your best no matter what. Just trust your head writers, they know what they’re doing.
Drake King: There’s some more people who I haven’t had the chance to thank either, and I want to do that right now. Limmy is one of my closest friends here as well, and the fact that we’re now working as a team that we literally randomly thought of while playing a game is amazing. POTARA is a team that I’ve already had so much fun with, and hopefully it doesn’t end anytime soon. Jamie O’Hara, one of the very best to ever do it, and someone who I’ve had the chance to face a few times now as both Yhwach and Hikari. I believe that I’ve learned a lot from our matches and facing someone as talented as you has helped me push myself, and even beyond that, much like Omar you wrote Harper and I’m thankful for what you’ve done with the character. TLA, like I said before I’ve faced TLA more than any other character in EAW, and our matches and multiple feuds have all been a lot of fun and it’s been cool coming up with new ways to keep our promo weeks interesting.
Drake King: There’s more I’d like to mention whether it’s because they’ve been a close friend of mine thanks to all of this or just because I’ve had some great matches with them. Andre/Elite, Bronson, Alexis, Cam, SK, a fellow inductee Sienna, Andrea, Darcy May Morgan, Rex. There’s so many people I’ve had some amazing matches with regardless of the character and it’s weeks like those against such talented promoers which will help anyone improve. Working alongside them, facing them, it doesn’t really matter. It has all been fun. Some of them I’ve known outside of EAW whether it was because of TPW, RW, or elsewhere. Some of them I only met after I joined EAW, and either way I was better off because of them.
Drake King: #EAW15 helped, giving me the opportunity to face Elitists like Daryl Kinkade, Madison Kaline and Sheridan Müller who have all been great since their returns and are responsible for even more fun weeks of promos throughout the past year. Of course there was also the addition of all of the amazing members that debuted in the past few years as well, such as Serenity, Milli, ARIA, Joso, Hans and the list continues. This place is really full of talent and that’s not going to change anytime soon. If I forgot to mention anyone then I apologize. It doesn’t mean I’m not thankful for anything you’ve done either even if we haven’t faced each other often or if we haven’t had some incredible weeks of promoing, because there’s a lot of people here I’ve had the chance to become great friends with and even that’s enough for me honestly. Guys like Ronan, Kelton, Roberto, Dyllan, I wouldn’t have even met without EAW.
Drake King: As much as I want to spend this whole speech patting myself on the back, and as much as I really could considering the amount of time I’ve spent doing all this writing on a phone, there’s really not gonna be a better time than this for me to just say thank you. I don’t plan to go anywhere anytime soon. I have 0 retirement plans, I haven’t run out of steam or anything like that so you’re gonna get a lot more of my monotonous promos going forward 💯, but knowing how much has happened just since 2018 makes me excited for whatever’s to come next.
Drake King: There’s literally no way I could’ve expected ANY of this to happen, especially back when I first joined this place as a 15 year old that had literally no idea what he was getting into as my only writing experience was 2 like 100 word promos as CM Punk in TPW. I’ve already accomplished just about anything I could want to accomplish, and right now I’m really just taking whatever comes my way and doing my best to deliver.
Drake King: This year so far has already been really fun. Competing in GR again, facing Jamie, and literally everything at Fighting Spirit which I can’t even explain how much it surprised me, it was all so great and one of my favorite parts about all of it is getting to be there for the chat reactions when it all goes down, so needless to say I’m looking forward to Pain for Pride and everything that comes next. This season has been way better than I could’ve imagined, and I can’t wait to see what happens next.
Drake King: I think I’ve covered just about everything that needs to be said. Again if I am missing someone or something that’s my fault and I apologize, five years of events are a lot to remember. My time here has been way better than I thought it’d be, and it makes me glad that I did stick around despite everything that happened in 2018 with the editing community and the people we were associated with at the time. We’ve all been able to move on and do better, and I really think that’s all that matters. I’m going to keep trying to do better, and trying to be both a better writer and a better person.
Drake King: I’m really not too sure on how to close this so…
Drake King: #POTARASweep, #NoOneButNewEden, Spectacular Spider-Man is the best Spider-Man adaptation and deserved better, Seth Rollins is the best wrestler in WWE and I got very lucky being able to use him as a picbase, and no I will not swear for you!
Drake King: On a serious note, thank you everyone for everything that you’ve done for me, and allowing Drake King to become the character I am today.
(‘Low of Solipsism II’ begins to play through the speakers once more while Drake raises a hand in the air, the crowd once again showing their support for the newly inducted Hall of Famer along with the rest of the class that was inducted in tonight. Drake makes a fist to the camera, showing the beautiful Hall of Fame ring that he has, before then beginning to take his leave. It’s the last shot seen before the 2023 EAW Hall of Fame ceremony begins to come to a close from there.)
