(PREVIOUSLY ON SHOWDOWN…)
(The recap begins with Mr. DEDEDE making his return on Showdown. He makes the match with him versus Xander Payne at Under Siege. There, a cute moment between DEDEDE and Kassidy with him actually proposing to her and she says yes. All that cute stuff.)
(It forwards to The ILLIONAIRES visiting Jenny Punk in her office. Once again, Jenny is pissed that they lost at King of Elite, but The ILLIONAIRES defend themselves from her slander. They ask Jenny to book them in another opportunity for the Tag Team Championships, but Jenny denies them of that. Soon after, Cameron Ella Ava joins the scene as she goes to Jenny about her next title defense. A lightbulb goes off in Chris Elite’s head he puts his name in for a shot at the Answers World Championship, but Jenny out rules that; however, Cameron believes it’s a good idea. Cameron gives Chris a shot at the title as returning the favor for Chris helping her and Jamie qualifying for the chamber back in December. Soon after, Chris Gawd Contracts Ahren into the match, making it a Triple Threat.)
(It continues with The Ring Master facing Oliver Queen in a winning effort. Soon after, Ryan Wilson attacks Ring Master and announces that the two of them would be facing off at Under Siege in a Hardcore Match! Ryan tells him to bring Ring Master to bring all the weapons he likes, but he will enjoy dishing and receiving all the pain in this match.)
(it forwards Heavenly Hell cutting a promo in the ring. The two of them talk about the Iconic Cup and all the stories about how this match would tear them apart; however, they still stay as united as ever. Constance Blevins states that the Unified Tag Team Championships are their main priority and Heavenly Hell encourages any team to step up and take them on. Soon after, The Visual Prophet shows up and flirts with Minerva a bit before making his intentions clear for the titles. Heavenly Hell wonders who would team with Viz, but Drake King comes out and cuts a promo how he and Viz aren’t best friends, but they share an interest in those Tag Team Championships. He claims that they will take the titles from them.)
(It continues with Jamie O’Hara talking about how King of Elite did not go his way. How it was a repeated story of him coming close to winning, but it’s nothing more than his opponents being at the right time and place. He claims that people will use this loss to write him off and use those narratives about he’ll never be World Champion again or he’s washed up and a has been. At this point, there’s only one thing he can do and that rebuilds himself and vow that the next time he gets a big opportunity, he won’t lose. Surprisingly, Candice Blair appears as she talks about how she looked up to Jamie; however, she’s disappointed from a fan’s perspective and doesn’t believe that he is worthy of the title “Ace.” The two argue for a bit. Candice challenges Jamie to a match at Under Siege, but Jamie believes that she is out of her mind and would wipe the floor with her. Candice claims she doesn’t shy away from challenges and after a moment, Jamie accepts the challenge and both go for a handshake, but Candice connects with a Candy Destroyer on the former World Champion.)
(It transitions to Jenny Punk talking about the PURE Championship picture at Under Siege and announces the PURE Gauntlet. The champion starts at number one and regardless of how the main event goes, Lucas Johnson and Harlow Reichert will find themselves in the match. Soon after, she is interrupted by Harper Lee, who admits that she has her sights on the Universal Women’s Championship. Soon after, Alexis Chambers joins in and announces her intentions for the title as well. Jenny makes Alexis versus Harper for next week. The winner faces Raven Roberts at Under Siege.)
(The main event with Harlow Reichert and Lucas Johnson is shown. Highlights of the main event are seen. The competitiveness between the two Elitists is amazing. It shows Albert Hitchman tripping Harlow, which gets him ejected from ringside. Lucas and Harlow fight for a bit longer until Harlow locks in Great Expectations on Lucas. After a moment of thinking, Lucas taps out. The show ends with Harlow at the top turnbuckle, raising her title high in the air.)

(“DNA” by Kendrick Lamar plays, cueing the theme for Saturday Night Showdown. It pans to inside the ExtraMile Arena as blue and silver pyrotechnics go off. The camera pans to a sea of EAW fans holding up their signs, screaming out of their minds.)

Eve: WE ARE TWO WEEKS FROM UNDER SIEGE! WELCOME TO SATURDAY NIGHT SHOWDOWN! I AM EVE!
Deadprez: I am Deadprez.
Gavin Kirkland: Gavin Kirkland here! Two weeks from Under Siege and last week we had so many matches announced for the card. Cameron Ella Ava will defend the Answers World Championship against Chris Elite and Ahren Fournier. Harlow Reichert will defend the PURE Championship in a Gauntlet Match. Lucas Johnson is the only person announced for the match and within the next two weeks, we should know all the participants in the match! Jamie O’Hara will take on a returning Candice Blair! Mr. DEDEDE will try to get his revenge on Xander Payne! Heavenly Hell will defend the Tag Team Championships against the King of Elite, The Visual Prophet and World Heavyweight Champion, Drake King. We even got a Hardcore Match against Ryan Wilson and The Ring Master!
Eve: It is looking to be an amazing card, but tonight, we will see Harper Lee and Alexis Chambers face off and the winner faces Raven Roberts for the Universal Women’s Championship at Under Siege!
Deadprez: The ILLIONAIRES are back in action in our main event as they face Xander Payne and Jake Smith in a tag team match! Cameron Ella Ava will join us on commentary, so it’s going to be something exciting!
Gavin Kirkland: As for right now, we open the match with a fatal-4-way match! Let’s get to it!
(Camera pans to Gina Romano inside the ring.)
Gina Romano: The Following contest is the opening match of the evening; it is a Fatal Four-Way scheduled for ONE FALL!
Crowd: ONE FALL!
Gina Romano: Introducing First, accompanied to the ring by his manager, Albert Hitchman, from Long Island, New York, weighing in at 197 pounds, “The Wrestling Machine” Lucas Johnson!
(“Young and Bitter” by Hot Tag Media plays as Lucas Johnson walks down to the ring wearing his Beats by DRE headphones that was given to him by his manager Albert Hitchman as he blasts music with an intense look on his face canceling the noise out from the fans that could give two shits less about him in the first place. When Lucas reaches the ring apron his manager Hitchman gives him one last prep talk as he gives the middle finger to his doubters as Hitchman takes off the headphones, Johnson heads into the ring for combat and has a new mindset of taking no prisoners and doing whatever it takes to win.)
Deadprez: It’s the opening match and what a way to kick it off guys with a Fatal Four-Way, this is about positioning, bragging rights and standing within Showdown, these men want to impress, moving up the ladder.
Eve: And after some time off, Lucas has been back with a vengeance as we saw last week.
Gavin Kirkland: I have to admit, Albert has him tuned in.
(As Beats starts to die down, ‘Costa Rica’ by Dreamville, Bas & JID ft. Mez, Buddy, Jace, Reese LAFLARE, Ski Mask the Slump God, Smokepurpp & Guapdad 4000 begins to play around the arena as the crowd cheers. A chill Bronson Daniels comes out, fist bumping the fans as he makes his way to the ring…)
Gina Romano: From Cocoa Beach, Florida, weighing in at 217 pounds, he is Bronson Daniels!
(Bronson all laid back, fist bumps some more before splitting into the ring, he starts to look around, giving the thumbs up to the fans.)
Deadprez: I wish I had this guy’s life. Bronson Daniels is looking to make a name for himself and he seems to be pretty chill.
Eve: Don’t let the Guinness Book of World Records for smoking the most blunts in Ten Minutes fool you, this guy can wrestle.
Gavin Kirkland: Most blunts in Ten Minutes? We are not worthy.
(“Costa Rica” starts to fade, replaced by ‘MAAD City’ by Kendrick Lamar. Jordan Payne comes out slowly looking around at the crowd. He smirks before heading down to the ring, the crowd boos, some cheer.)
Gina Roman: The Next competitor hails from Coventry, England. Weighing in at 242 pounds! Jordan Payne!
(He runs to the ring and slides in.)
Eve: The debut of Jordan Payne and there is a lot of talk about this man’s ability and his tenacity.
Deadprez: He looks ready to fight and win in his debut.
Gavin Kirkland: Yeah, he had a lot to say.
(Payne stands on the second rope, as the crowd boos, some cheer. His music fades. The lights go out in the arena. ‘Pure Water’ by Skepta hits the speakers to a choir of boos from the crowd. A flashing white lights flicker in the arena until it turns back to black. The titantron reads ‘UNRULY X UNRIVALLED’ and a spotlight flashes down, Dray Fontana is in it with his eyes closed and his fingers in his ears, closing out the boos from the crowd.)
Gina Romano: The final competitor is from Kingston Upon Thames, England! Weighing in at 200 Pounds! Here is Prince Dray Fontana!
(He marches down to the ring. He gets up on the apron and raises his hands in the air before entering the ring. As he enters the ring, he gets to the middle of it and gets onto his knees and a spotlight shines down on him, he slams the mat three times and jumps up to his feet and points a finger gun at the crowd!)
Deadprez: Prince Draw Fontana is here, and he looks to get back on the winning track and take this home tonight!
Eve: Dray looks determined and ready. Such an important match for all four of these talented wrestlers.
Gavin Kirkland: I am still impressed by that Guinness World Record.
(The referee checks on all four men before quickly sounding off for the bell…)

(The four wrestlers look at each other waiting for anyone to make the first move. Dray attacks Payne, Lucas and Bronson go after one another.)
Deadprez: Where we go, Fatal Four-Way rules and we have a donnybrook here in Boise, play! Bronson Daniels hitting those stiff kicks on Lucas, forcing him into a corner, going quickly for the Monkey Flip! Lucas lands hard on his back! Getting up Bronson with a Sunset Flip for the cover!

Eve: Lucas quickly kicks out, Dray forearms Payne repeatedly in the corner, he is starting to get spaghetti legged, whipping him right into Bronson Daniels who hits a hip toss right on Lucas Johnson, who rolls out of the ring! Albert Hitchman checking out his client! Dray now with a clothesline, NO! Bronson ducks, Dray turns around into a Roundhouse kick! Dray stumbles back and is hit in the knee, NO! Dray blocks it into a Trap-Leg Suplex! Bronson rolls over and here comes Payne, German Suplex on Dray from behind, he caught him with his attention on Bronson!
Gavin Kirkland: Lucas grabbing Payne from the outside and sliding him out of the ring, he throws Jordan into the steel steps, rolling back in, picks up Dray, HARD Belly to Belly Suplex for the cover!

Deadprez: Dray kicks out dawg! Lucas is now going to Bronson! He picks him up by the hair, dropping him hard with another Belly to Belly suplex! Lucas Johnson is trying to finish this one off early!

Deadprez: Another Kick Out by Daniels! Lucas is trying to figure out what to do, he picks up Bronson and Dray, punches Fontana, then Bronson! Then NO! FONTANA BLOCKS IT! He tries on Bronson and HE BLOCKS IT! Lucas has nowhere to go!
Eve: A Double Kick to the gut of Lucas! Bronson and Dray look at one another, they FIST PUMP! Hoisting Lucas up for a DOUBLE SPIKE DDT! LUCAS IS OUT AND BRONSON GOES FOR THE COVER!

Eve: PAYNE IS CLEANING HOUSE! NOW HE GOES TO LUCAS JOHNSON! NO! GATOR ROLL! LUCAS CATCHES PAYNE! He gets back up to his feet, lifting up Payne by the hair IT’S THE SKULL CRUSHING FINALE…. BRONSON DANIELS OUT OF NOWHERE WITH A JUMPING KNEE STRIKE ON LUCAS! BRONSON TURNS AND ANOTHER JUMPING KNEE STRIKE ON PAYNE! HE SEES DRAY GETTING UP TO HIS FEET! ANOTHER JUMPING KNEE… NO! PELE KICK BY DRAY CONNECTING ON BRONSON! HE ROLLS OUT OF THE RING! DRAY SEES PAYNE GETTING UP AND THE PARAMOUNT!
Deadprez: HE GOT ALL THAT AND MORE PLAYA! PAYNE IS DOWN AND DRAY GOING FOR THE COVER!

Deadprez: LUCAS JOHNSON BREAKS UP THE COUNT! Grabbing Dray Fontana, he throws him over the top rope! Lucas turns to Jordan, but HE IS CAUGHT BY BRONSON DANIELS! GUNSMOKE! THE SPEAR ALMOST TOOK LUCAS OUT OF HIS BOOTS! HE’S GOING FOR THE PIN! NOOOO! DRAY FROM THE OUTSIDE DRAGS BRONSON TO THE FLOOR! HE IS NOT HAPPY ABOUT THAT! BRONSON QUICKLY IS TO HIS FEET AND THEY START TO FIGHT ON THE OUTSIDE!
Eve: These two men are starting to wail on each other and heading into the crowd! Dray throws Bronson over the railing but Daniels is back up and he jumped on Dray!
(The Crowd Roars, Dray and Bronson start to fight up the stairs leaving Lucas and Payne in the ring.)
Gavin Kirkland: BRONSON AND DRAY ARE FIGHTING UP THE STAIRS INTO THE MEZZANINE AREA AND CONCESSIONS! WE WILL GET A CAMERA TO FOLLOW THEM! IN THE RING LUCAS IS GETTING UP, HE GOES OVER TO PAYN, INSIDE CRADLE!

(“Young and Bitter” by Hot Tag Media starts to play as the referee raises the hand of Lucas Johnson. He grabs Jordan Payne and throws him over the top rope, giving him space to pose with Albert Hitchman as they celebrate their win.)
Deadprez: Huge win by Lucas Johnson and kudos to all four of these young men. We are getting information that Bronson and Dray are now at the Dairy Queen! They are still fighting in the Mezzanine area!
Gavin Kirkland: THERE IS THE FOOTAGE! DRAY HAS BRONSON’S HEAD UNDER THE BLIZZARD MACHINE! HE IS PUMPING SOFT SERVE INTO HIS MOUTH!
Eve: THIS IS ABSOLUTELY BRUTAL! WAIT BRONSON SMASHES A CHOCOLATE CONE OVER DRAY’S FACE! HE IS NOW SMASHING DRAY WITH A BAG OF REESE’S PEANUT BUTTER CUPS! SECURITY IS FINALLY HERE! TRYING TO SEPARATE THESE TWO!
(Lucas Johnson continues to celebrate in the ring as Payne leans against the barrier looking in the ring seething…..)
(The scene fades into Candice Blair backstage, sitting on a box of crates. Candice has her iPad in her hands. In the background, you can hear some wrestling match going as she seems to have her eyes glued to the screen. The crowd gives a negative reaction to Candice, who didn’t return last week on Showdown to attack her brother-in-law, Jamie O’Hara after he accepted a match with her at Under Siege. To Candice, she meant no malicious intentions for her actions last week, but only wants to push Jamie into succeeding and if that means to piss him off a bit, she’s going to do that.)
Candice Blair: There (points to the screen of her iPad with a paused video of Jamie O’Hara connecting with Stardust Forever on Charlie Marr until he reaches unconsciousness). To most people, you would think the match is in the bag for someone like Jamie. However… (she uses her index finger to circle The Visual Prophet standing on the top turnbuckle and away from Jamie’s view).There is where he lost the match. When nothing stands in the way of him and victory, he’s oblivious to his surroundings and that’s how The Visual Prophet capitalized in the match. I could never.
(Candice Blair smirks as she continues to watch, the King of Elite Finals from earlier this month.)
Candice Blair: Jamie O’Hara has a way of wanting people to watch him succeed. I want to see Jamie succeed. I want to see him get that third World Championship reign. I believe that’s what EVERYONE wants for him, but I’m an opportunist and I go after the match that is going to get me the most attention and that’s with him.
???: Don’t you have a match to warm up for?
(Candice Blair puts down the iPad in order to look at her older sister and Answers World Champion, Cameron Ella Ava. Once again, Cameron doesn’t find herself in a match, but she will be on commentary for the main event.)
Candice Blair: It’s just The Ring Master, Cameron.
Cameron Ella Ava: It’s still another wrestling match. Regardless of the level of opponent, you need to take this stuff seriously, Candice. Jamie’s going to be out there and you need to leave an impression out there that makes him want to take you seriously at Under Siege.
Candice Blair: He’ll take me seriously at Under Siege. Besides, he should know that our family aren’t slouches.
Cameron Ella Ava: He may not think that, but you guys are head cases, apparently. :lupe:
Candice Blair: Oh please, he loves us. :mjgrin:
Cameron Ella Ava: He loves me, but I figured that I would at least come to you about Under Siege (takes a seat next to Candice on the box of crates). I told him not to lay a hand on you until Under Siege because any aggression should be saved for the match. Candice, I know you’re a talented wrestler. You may act like you don’t give a shit about wrestling, but whenever you step inside the ring, your passion for the sport is revealed. You love being out there and performing. You love the cameras and spotlight on you, but Jamie isn’t the type of person, who you can just kick down when he’s already down…
Candice Blair: I wasn’t looking to kick him down. Cam, you know I’m an opportunist. I look for ways to advance my own career and get me to the next level. I look for the biggest payday and having my name versus Jamie O’Hara is going to give me that payday. However, I don’t have any hatred for him. Camille’s the one with an issue with him and that’s her issue to deal with whenever she feels like it. Me? I only see this match to get me on another level. If he takes personal offense for me deciding to face him, well, that’s too bad.
Cameron Ella Ava: Look, I made the same mistake four years ago in trying to advance my own career at the expense of Jamie’s and it bit me in the ass. The difference between you and me is I was aware of what I was doing. I couldn’t give a rat’s about how things worked out for him after Pain for Pride IX. However, for someone, who’s probably watched that match, you should have realized where I went wrong —
Candice Blair: Yeah, you hesitated and he capitalized on that.
Cameron Ella Ava: :skip: I meant with the whole situation in general, Candice. I should have gone for Cash in the Vault. :noah:
Candice Blair: I think it turned out well…for you in more ways than one. However, I’ve watched that match at Pain for Pride IX. I think I know what to do in order to make sure that it doesn’t happen to me at Under Siege.
Cameron Ella Ava: Look, I’m excited to see the match. I just want you to know that Jamie O’Hara is beyond the competition that you’ve faced in your small tenure in EAW. He’s The Ace. He’s the bar for a lot of the Elitists coming in and when looking in the match, there are people who may believe that you’re going to get your ass beat. Regardless of how things look for you, you need to prove them wrong, Candice. Meanwhile, he’s going to show you why he is Jamie O’Hara and you’re Candice Blair.
Candice Blair: People keep assuming that I have no idea what I’m getting myself into. This match will be a test to see how far I’ve come over the past few years. I’m planning to steal the show and look amazing while doing that.
(Candice Blair gets off the box of crates as she looks at her sister.)
Candice Blair: Now, if you excuse me, I gotta stretch before my match.
Cameron Ella Ava: You do that. Good luck out there.
(Candice Blair nods before getting off the camera shot, leaving Cameron Ella Ava to form a smile on her face, looking at the direction Candice left in.)
(Commercial break for Under Siege featuring Mr. DEDEDE taking on Xander Payne live on the EAW Network in two weeks!)
(“Three Ain’t Enough” by Jim Johnston hits as Ring Master emerges from the curtain to a loud ovation from the crowd. He soaks in the reaction before slapping a few fans’ hands on his way to the ring.)
Gina Romano: THE FOLLOWING CONTEST IS SET FOR ONE FALL!!
Crowd: ONE FALL!!
Gina Romano: INTRODUCING FIRST…FROM SALISBURY, MARYLAND…WEIGHING IN AT THREE HUNDRED AND TWELVE POUNDS…..”CHOC LESNAR”…..TTHHHEEE RRRINNNGGGG MMMASSSSTTEERRR!!!!!
Eve: Here comes one of in my opinion Showdown’s rising stars. He’s been on a run since signing and he’s preparing for his biggest test in just a couple weeks at Under Siege but what an opportunity for him tonight, we may not have to wait til Under Siege to see Ring Master make a huge statement.
(“Diva” by Beyoncé hits as Candice Blair walks out on to the stage. The crowd has a mixed reaction to her. She is laser-focused as she begins her walk to the ring.)
Gina Romano: AND HIS OPPONENT…FROM SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA…WEIGHING IN AT ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY-SIX POUNDS…”THE HOT COMMODITY”…CCCAANNNNDDIIICCCEEE BBBLLLAAAIIIRRR!!!
Gavin Kirkland: OH! MY!–
Eve: GAVIN! Anyways, How crazy is this woman? As talented as she is, she’s really gonna challenge a competitor like Jamie O’Hara? She’s got her fucking work cut out for her, much like she does tonight. Don’t you think?
Gavin Kirkalnd: WHA…WHAT?!
(Before the bell rings, “Awaken” by Dethklok hits as Ryan Wilson comes out with a huge smug look on his face. The crowd isn’t pleased with him coming down here. He raises his hands up in innocence as he makes his way to the ringside area.)
Ryan Wilson (No mic): AY DON’T MIND ME, I’M JUST SCOUTING! YOU GOT THIS CANDICE!
(Ding! Ding! Ding!)
Eve: And here we go, both competitors lock up in the center of the ring but Ring Master easily overpowers her as he has a near two hundred pound advantage over Candice. Ring Master now has Candice in a side headlock and Candice now nudges Ring Master off her by throwing him to the ropes and Ring Master bounces from them and hits a shoulder tackle knocking Candice down to the mat! Ring Master runs to the ropes and Candice flips on her stomach and Ring Master hops over her and runs to the opposite ropes but Candice is to her feet and she dropkicks the front of Ring Master’s right knee, and now she connects with the roundhouse kick to the head of Ring Master! Ring Master rolls underneath the bottom rope on the apron and Ryan Wilson loved every second what he just saw.
(Ryan Wilson walks over to the ring apron where Ring Master is lying.)
Ryan Wilson (no mic): You’re not even gonna make it to Under Siege, you hear me?!
Deadprez: Candice looks a bit irritated by Ryan’s behavior as she makes her way over to Ring Master and grabs him by the head from inside the ring pulling him to his feet on the apron, but Ring Master grabs ahold of Candice’s head and he drops to the outside floor causing Candice to slingshot off the rope inside the ring! Ring Master immediately slides back in the ring and runs at Candice Blair…catches him with a hurricanrana sending Ring Master to the other side of the ring.
(The crowd all of a sudden pops.)
(Jamie O’Hara appears on the stage dressed in casual attire with his arms crossed. He begins making his way to the ringside area opposite the end Ryan Wilson is on. Jamie points to Ryan on the other end of ringside and does a stop motion with his hands, warning him to stay put there.)
Gavin Kirkland: OH MY GOD! THIS MATCH JUST GOT THAT MUCH BETTER!! :blessed:
Eve: I think he also wants to scout his Under Siege opponent up close.
Deadprez: Candice is now just staring at Jamie on the outside while he is still standing with his arms crossed. You can hear Ryan Wilson shouting on the other side of the ring for Candice to stay focused on Ring Master!
Gavin Kirkland: Candice charges at Ring Master who was in the corner but Ring Master throws an elbow to the face of Candice stopping her in her tracks, and now Ring Master switches positions with Candice and throws her in the corner and Ring Master now hits a shoulder thrust, and then does it again, and again. I mean, I would do the same exact thing. :mjlit:
Eve: Ring Master now grabs Candice with both hands on her head and he tosses her like a rag doll to the other end of the ring! Ryan is irate on the outside trying to cheer Candice on! Candice pulls herself up in the opposite corner and Ring Master now charges at her full speed….the splash in the corner connects!! He picks her up now in a powerslam position….the running powerslam connects! Ring Master hooks the leg!

She didn’t intend to hit Jamie with a knee. It was meant for Ryan Wilson. Even though she made a statement last week, she didn’t wish anything horrible to happen to Jamie; however, he may not see things that way. To him, Candice is just another opponent in his way and she’ll get no special treatment.)

( Xander Payne appears backstage, by catering, surveying the different sandwich options on a platter while finishing up wrapping his wrestling tape. Kyra Phillips taps him on the shoulder and requests an interview. )

Xander Payne: Excuse yourself, I’m in the middle of something.

( Xander reluctantly gives in. )
Kyra Phillips: It’s obviously going to be a big night for you as you’re in the main event with Jake Smith against The Illionaires. But perhaps an even bigger night comes two weeks from now in Buenos Aires as you face the Elitist of the Decade and seven-time EAW World Champion, Mr. DEDEDE, at Under Siege.

Xander Payne: Nice of you to show up. But I know you didn’t come to this stupid arena in this stupid city just to eat sandwiches. So if you want to fight right now let’s take this to the ring.

( Xander moves in closer. DDD holds up his hands, downplaying the tension. )

Santo is focused on winning this match for El Rey. After weeks of facing disappointment, a victory over the Unified Tag Team Champions would mean a lot to him.)

Gavin Kirkland: It’s been a while since we’ve seen Santo Muerte competing on Showdown; however, he hasn’t been relaxing during his time off. He’s been training his ass off. He’s been going through serious training by El Rey to make sure that he no longer faces any more disappointments. He has put through his body through torture with his training and he hopes that it’s going to be enough to withstand any punishment that anyone in the roster dishes out to him.
Eve: Santo Muerte has all the tools to become a future champion in EAW. He’s an excellent wrestler and there’s a mystic about him that leaves everyone guessing; however, he just hasn’t been lucky. Hopefully, his luck turns around with this match! But, his opponents are not easy at all.
(“War” fades as “Old Town Road” by Lil Nas X featuring Billy Ray Cyrus replaces it. The crowd boos as Lance Blackfyre comes out on a horse, which no one has a clue how he was able to find a horse that can carry him. Lance is hoping that this tag team match is better than the one last week.)

Gavin Kirkland: I have no clue, but Lance Blackfyre found himself on the losing side in a tag team match last week. He teamed with Alexis Chambers to face Jake Smith and Harper Lee. In that match, we saw that Lance was quite difficult to work with, which made Alexis leave him high and dry, giving Jake and Harper the chance to work together and take him down!
Eve: Lance Blackfyre asked for that, but he is really going to need to put his ego to the side if he wants to make sure that he and Santo Muerte manages to defeat Heavenly Hell. Lance doesn’t fully believe that Santo is going to pull his weight in the match, so things aren’t looking well so far. :lupe:
(“Old Town Road” dies down as “No More” by Disturbed blasts through the speakers. The crowd gives a pop to the Unified Tag Team Champions — Constance Blevins and Minerva, who come out from the back. The titles are on their waist and Minerva holds a miniature version of the Iconic Cup in her hands. The champions look more than focused to send a message to their opponents at Under Siege.)

Deadprez: Here are the champs! Constance Blevins and Minerva are set to face the King of Elite, The Visual Prophet and World Heavyweight Champion, Drake King at Under Siege. It’s probably Heavenly Hell’s toughest challenge to date!
Gavin Kirkland: Viz and Drake King are both amazing competitors, but Heavenly Hell has dominated the tag team scene since June of last year! Each time that has stepped up to the plate, they have taken them down! There’s a bit of importance with Viz and Drake, but there should not be a different approach for Heavenly Hell going into this match. Dominate and win is what they need to do.

Gavin Kirkland: It seems like Minerva is going to be starting off the match for Heavenly Hell. Santo Muerte will be starting off the match for his team with Lance Blackfyre. It’s been a while since we’ve seen Santo in action on Showdown, but he plans to make the most out of it.
Eve: The two Elitists in the ring lock up with each other, but Santo Muerte is shown to be the stronger out of the two! He manages to push Minerva against the ropes before holding it there for a second — SANTO CONNECTS WITH A SLAP TO THE FACE OF ONE-HALF OF THE UNIFIED TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS BEFORE STEPPING AWAY! MINERVA ISN’T TOO CRAZY ABOUT THAT AS SHE GOES RIGHT AFTER SANTO MUERTE WITH FISTS TO THE FACE, BUT SANTO GETS A HOLD OF MINERVA’S WRISTS BEFORE PUSHING HER DOWN TO HER KNEES. Santo with a knee to the face of Minerva as that takes her down to her back. Santo quickly goes for the cover, but Minerva manages to get herself out of position for the count before the referee gets in position.
Deadprez: Santo Muerte gets a fistful of Minerva’s hair, which gets her back up to her feet as Santo gets Minerva up on one shoulder. His body shifts in direction to the corner as he runs with Minerva on one shoulder — lawn dart!
Gavin Kirkland: No! The gorgeous and eerie Minerva manages to get herself off of Santo Muerte’s shoulder as she pushes the bigger man to the corner. Santo collides with the corner harshly and turns himself around! Minerva manages to connect with a hesitation dropkick to the corner as she gets ‘The Saint of Death’ to a seated position on the middle row of the corner! MINERVA BEGINS TO FIRE AWAY WITH SOME RAPID PUNCHES TO SANTO! SHE IS NOT HOLDING BACK AS SHE IS USING THIS AS NOTHING MORE THAN TO SEND A MESSAGE TO HEAVENLY HELL’S OPPONENTS AT UNDER SIEGE! THERE’S NO DOUBT THAT DRAKE KING AND THE VISUAL PROPHET ARE WATCHING THIS MATCHUP CLOSE!
Eve: Minerva gets her foot and presses it against the rope! She applies a flexing corner foot choke on Santo Muerte and holds it there for a moment! It seems like the official is going to need to make a count!

Deadprez: Minerva gets her foot off the throat of Santo Muerte before pulling him towards her and connecting with a swinging neckbreaker! Minerva goes for the cover!

Eve: Minerva rebounds off the ropes and spears Santo Muerte, but he doesn’t go down completely! Santo goes down to one knee! Minerva is heading towards the top rope as Constance Blevins connects with a standing moonsault on ‘The Saint of Death.’ Minerva leaps on top of Santo at the same time! Double Descent on Santo! Constance goes for the cover!

Deadprez: Santo Muerte gets a shoulder up as Constance Blevins gets Santo in a seated position before throwing elbows to the side of Santo’s neck! Constance gets an arm around the front of Santo’s neck before picking him up to his feet! Constance has Santo in position for an inverted DDT as that takes him down! Constance gets on top of Santo before going for some repeated punches to Santo’s face! Constance gets Santo up to his feet before getting Santo by one of his arms and Irish whipping him to the corner! Constance charges towards Santo at the corner before connecting with a giant knee strike! Man, I think you could hear the sound of that knee strike! Constance follows that with a running bulldog!

Deadprez: It seems like Santo Muerte isn’t going to argue as he just smacks the chest of Lance Blackfyre. Lance steps inside the ring as the two men exchange glares at each other! Constance Blevins is up to her feet as she now stands toe-to-toe with the ‘Omen of Destruction.’
Gavin Kirkland: This man is truly a freak of nature and I’m afraid for Constance Blevins, but she doesn’t look like the one to back down from this challenge! CONSTANCE KICKS LANCE IN THE STOMACH, BUT LANCE MANAGES TO CATCH CONSTANCE’S LEG! BUT, CONSTANCE CONNECTS WITH A NASTY SLAP TO LANCE’S FACE! Look at this, Eve and Deadprez! It seems like Lance is…smiling? Like he loved that slap to the face! Constance quickly gets Lance by his head and connects with a jawbreaker; however, it doesn’t make him stumble much! It’s almost like it didn’t phase him at all! Constance takes a step back and knees Lance in the stomach! Much like with jawbreaker, it doesn’t make Lance stumble back much! Eve: Lance Blackfyre gets Constance Blevins by her shoulders and throws her to one of the corners away from the Heavenly Hell corner! They are giving him a tough opponent tonight as that woman has been going strong since the New Year began and by the looks of things, I don’t think that anyone is going to be stopping her.

Eve: Now, he’s proceeding to egg on Harlow Reichert! We’re seeing a bit of that cocky side from Tobias Drakkenson, which we didn’t see last week with his match with Shaker Jones. Tobias is facing the PURE Champion one-on-one, getting the offense on her, must be a huge confidence boost for him, but he can’t allow himself to get cocky because that’s what cost men like him in the past. Harlow is one of the best wrestlers on the roster. She is the champion for a reason and she is going to need to win this match in order to send a message to all the competitors in the PURE Championship Gauntlet at Under Siege next weekend.

Alexis is already for her ring gear as she has a focused look on her face. As much as she may respect Harper Lee, she wants nothing more than to win the match and face Raven Roberts at Under Siege. An opportunity at the Universal Women’s Champion doesn’t always come to a newcomer like Alexis; however, she plans to make the most of this opportunity and that means winning.)

(Alexis Chambers rolls her eyes at the sound of the masculine voice. Jake Smith enters the camera shot with a shit-eating smirk on his face. Alexis stops her stretching in order to give the former PURE Champion some of her time.)

You and Harper have been wrestling for around the same time, so there’s no woman with an edge over another; however, your disadvantage could be that you let your emotions get the best of you. You should be thankful that I didn’t knock you down on your ass because I’m more focused on my match up next. I hope that a mistake you don’t continue to make is by categorizing me and Terry in the same group. He has his right arm wrapped around with some tap since Santo Muerte did snap his arm back in the tag team match. The giant cracks a smile, not believing the confrontation that he had seen with Jake and Alexis. Despite things not going well in his tag team match, it seems like he’s moved on from it. Jake has his guard up, prepared to fight if anything goes wrong.)
Jake Smith: It’s not nice to eavesdrop.
Lance Blackfyre: I don’t get why you would waste your time on a bitch that couldn’t even be useful to me during our tag team match last week?
Jake Smith: Do you blame her? You haven’t proven to be the easiest person to get along with. I mean, with Alexis leaving you last week and then, Santo Muerte leaving you just earlier tonight. Man, tag team matches aren’t your thing, huh?
Lance Blackfyre: Not my fault that I didn’t give a fuck about the match last week. Why would I give a fuck about a match consisting of you and one broad while I team with another broad? The only positive of the match was kicking ass and most importantly, it was kicking your ass. As for this week, it doesn’t shock me that Santo Muerte couldn’t do anything right. He was incompetent, to begin with. It pisses me off that I was left off this week’s show so that you can finally get your first main event match on Showdown. I would have loved nothing more than to drag The ILLIONAIRES’ by their dicks across the ring. The main event has no bitch or whore insight. The main event with men like it’s supposed to be and I’m not in the match? Nothing more than the crooked bullshit that this brand is made of. All three of the champions on this brand are held by WOMEN and I couldn’t stand for that any longer. When are nice to look and that’s their only purpose going into the match. I’m not standing for that bullshit any longer. I knew I had to get one of these women away from the titles and as of last week’s announcement, I knew which one to go after.

I don’t give a fuck about the title, but if it means one less broad is holding all the gold here on Showdown, then I will be more than honored to begin this so-called ‘domino effect’ and if we’re lucky, Dynasty and Voltage will follow suit. I just went to Jenny Punk about letting me into the PURE Gauntlet and she loved the idea. You sweet talk that broad and she’s putty in your hands. Women are so gullible. You sweet talk them and say the right things, they’ll do what you want.
Jake Smith: Good for you, Lance! You’re making your own opportunities! It seems like my days with the PURE Championship are over, but good luck in your future endeavors. (Jake Smith slaps the chest of Lance Blackfyre with the back of his hand, casually, but it turned out to be painful for Jake, who almost yelps in pain, but keeps a brave and casual smile before walking away from the scene. The last glimpse of the scene is Lance who shakes his head, looking at the direction Jake left in.)

(Alexis burst onto the stage full of fire and energy, and begins to make her way to the ring.)
Eve: Tonight brings two relative newcomers to the EAW forefront. Either Alexis Chambers or Harper Lee will find herself competing against Raven Roberts for the Universal Women’s Championship in two weeks at Under Siege.
Deadprez: It’s a huge opportunity for either woman at this early stage in their career, but this will be Alexis’ first chance at something of this magnitude. We have seen Harper compete for a championship already, and do so quite valiantly, but this will give us our first real chance to see what Alexis Chambers is made of. She has to be feeling the pressure, or at least be feeling a little nervous, and I’m curious to see how she handles a match like this.
Gavin Kirkland: She might not be blonde, but I’ll gladly help her release the tension if she’s feeling it right now :D.
Eve: Ugh.
(Alexis gets into the ring and gets set for the match. Her face doesn’t betray her emotions or nerves, but she does bounce from one foot to the other to keep herself warmed up. Her music fades out and is soon replaced by “Debate Scrum” by Masafumi Takada.)
Gina Romano: AND HER OPPONENT… FROM CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA… WEIGHING IN AT 118 POUNDS… PLEASE WELCOME, HARPER LEE!!!!
(All smiles as she walks out, Harper takes a moment to acknowledge the crowd. They embrace the bubbly blonde, and Harper begins to make her way down to the ring.)

Eve: From the second she showed out in the Extreme Enigma Battle Royal back at Road to Redemption, experts have been saying Harper Lee is a future world champion. Tonight she has a chance to get one step closer to fulfilling that prophecy. Harper has already proven she’s a big match competitor, and there’s no reason to believe she won’t win this match tonight.
Deadprez: I won’t count Alexis out, but she is going to have to dig deep if she wants to get one up on Harper. This woman is good, and in a few years she could very well become of the all-time greats.
(Harper gets into the ring and sheds her ring coat and whatnot. The referee checks with both women to make sure they’re ready and then calls for the bell.)

Deadprez: Both women shake hands and immediately start circling one another! It’s Harper who goes for the collar-and-elbow tie up, and she is able to muscle Alexis back into the corner. The referee calls for a break and Harper keeps it clean. Alexis pushes herself out of the corner and once again, both women circle one another.
Eve: This is a huge match for both Harper Lee and Alexis Chambers. As you know, the winner will go to Under Siege and face off against Raven Roberts for the Universal Women’s Championship. Harper has had a championship shot before, taking part in Harlow Reichert’s PURE Championship Invitational. She came up short, but it took a monumental effort on Harlow’s part to put Harper away.
Gavin Kirkland: As for Alexis, this marks her first chance to earn a title opportunity and no doubt she’s going to be hungry tonight.
Eve: Harper and Alexis jostle back and forth for position once again. It’s Alexis who manages to wrap Harper in a side headlock and she attempts to bring Harper down to the mat. Harper blocks the takedown and nails Alexis in the gut with an elbow. Alexis releases the headlock and Harper immediately rushes the ropes! She looks for a clothesline but Alexis drops into a backbend in order to avoid it! Harper hits the opposite set of ropes and hooks her arms, while Alexis is back up! Alexis runs for Harper and looks to take her over the top, but Harper lifts her up and dumps her on the apron!
Gavin Kirkland: Alexis lands on her feet and she nails Harper in the back of the head with a forearm! Alexis uses the ropes to springboard herself back into the ring and she takes Harper down with a diving hurricanrana! Alexis immediately crawls towards Harper and goes for the cover!

Eve: Alexis pulls Harper up and looks for another side headlock! Harper has the presence of mind to drop down to a knee and she hooks Alexis’ leg! She pulls Alexis to the mat and looks for a front facelock! Alexis is quick to maneuver around and lock her arms around Harper’s waist. She forces Harper onto her back for a quick cover!

Deadprez: Harper kicks her legs up and catches Alexis in a headscissors. Alexis flips backwards and slips out, returning to her feet! Harper is up as well and it’s Alexis who charges forward with a forearm! Harper blocks the shot, and levels Alexis with a solid right hand to the jaw! Alexis stumbles back and Harper leaps at Alexis and wraps her in a side headlock! Harper runs forward, jumps on the ropes, and brings Alexis down with a springboard bulldog! Harper elects not to go for the cover and she’s back up! Quick as a cat, Harper runs the ropes and uses the momentum to hit a somersault leg drop! Wow! Harper stays in position and hooks the leg!

Eve: Alexis kicks out!
Gavin Kirkland: Harper is back up and she helps Alexis up as well! Harper throws a kick, but Alexis is able to catch it! She spins Harper around and knocks her down with a clothesline! Alexis picks up Harper, but Harper fights back, nailing Alexis with rapid punches to the stomach! Alexis is forced back and Harper lunges for the legs and drives Alexis back into the corner! Harper unleashes a series of precise kicks that connect with Alexis’ thighs and ribcage! Harper pulls Alexis out of the corner and drops her with a drop toehold! Harper follows up with a double footstomp to the back! Harper moves behind Alexis and wraps her up in a camel clutch submission!
Eve: Alexis reaches for the ropes but she’s not close enough! The referee is asking Alexis if she wants to quit, but she shakes her head! Harper maintains control of the camel clutch, but Alexis is digging deep and hanging on. She is showing a lot of stubborness right now, and a lot of grit, and I’m not surprised about that. Despite her lack of experience, Alexis Chambers is very talented and has a hell of a future ahead of her.
Gavin Kirkland: Harper releases the submission and immediately drops an axe-handle to the lower back of Alexis! She helps Alexis up and Alexis shoves her back. The two women eye one another and this time it’s Alexis who dives at Harper! Harper side steps her, but Alexis is quick to turn around and grab Harper from behind! She pushes Harper chest first into the ropes and rolls her up from behind! Harper rolls through and is quickly up! Dropkick! No! Alexis brushes it off and grabs Harper by the hair! She rams her shoulder first into the ringpost! Alexis grabs Harper and brings her into a sitting position with a snapmare! Harper is in a sitting position and Alexis lights her up kicks to the back! Alexis runs the ropes and comes back with a basement style dropkick to the shoulder! Alexis goes for an armbar, but Harper quickly gets her foot on the rope!
Eve: Clean break from Alexis, but she goes right back to work. She keeps Harper grounded and begins working over that shoulder. Harper is reaching for the ropes once again, but Alexis drags her back towards the center of the ring. She looks to slip a crossface on Harper, but Harper is able to reach behind and hook Alexis around the neck! She brings her down to the mat, but Alexis is able to work herself free before Harper can do anything!
Deadprez: Both women are back up now, and it’s Alexis who nails Harper right in the face with a huge forearm shot! Harper fires back with a strike that catches Alexis in the side of the head and follows up with a sharp kick to the thigh! That brings Alexis to a knee, but she slams her first into Harper’s stomach! Harper retaliates with an elbow to the head and she grabs Alexis by the neck. Alexis with two quick shots to Harper’s ribs! Alexis hooks the tights and goes for a snap suplex, but Harper blocks! She hammers away on Alexis’ back and gets free, and that allows Harper to drive her knee into Alexis’ face!
Gavin Kirkland: That knocks Alexis back and Harper quickly snatches her up and throws her into the turnbuckles with an exploder suplex! The back of Alexis’ head slams into the bottom turnbuckle and Harper pulls her out of the corner by her legs! Harper drops down for the cover!

She hits her with a nice looking uppercut, takes control of the wrist, and looks for a takedown, but Alexis is able to roll through that wristlock and gain control of the match! She wrenches Harper’s arm back, but Harper works her way free! Harper grabs for Alexis’s head, but Alexis catches her with an elbow, slips behind Harper, AND SHE BRINGS HER DOWN WITH A BACKSTABBER!!!
Deadprez: Alexis looks to go high risk right now! She climbs to the top and gets herself set up for ‘Heart Stopper’!!! Alexis flies, looking for the elevated moonsault BUT HARPER GETS HER KNEES UP! Alexis rolls to the side, clutching her stomach, and Harper is able to recover and push herself back up! She grabs Alexis by the hair, but Alexis catches Harper with a kick to the shin! (The crowd is just as puzzled as everyone else seems to be, and both Alexis and Harper have separated from one another and are trying to figure out what just happened. The referee is speaking with the timekeeper, and Gina, and the fans start to murmur as Jenny Punk comes down to the ring area. That gets Harper and Alexis involved and everyone seems to be arguing over who really won the match.)
Deadprez: I really don’t know what there is to argue about. The match clearly ended in a double pin.
Eve: I think you’re right and that seems to be what the referee is explaining to Jenny. He knows he made a mistake by counting the pinfall and calling for the bell, but he doesn’t seem to be reversing the decision. Jenny looks pretty annoyed by the situation and she just threw her hands up.
(Jenny turns her back to the commentary team so she can speak to Gina. Gina is seen mouthing the words ‘are you sure’, and Jenny nods.)

Chris Elite and Ahren Fournier look focused as they’re sitting on a couch. Meanwhile, Shaker Jones stands in front of them with a pumped-up look on his face. She has a smile on her face that lights up the entire venue, holding the title up for the cheering crowd. She then begins to make her way down the ramp towards the commentary desk.)
Gina Romano: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome our special guest commentator for tonight’s main event… EAW Hall of Famer and the reigning Answers World Champion… CAMERON ELLA AVA!!!!!
(Cameron makes her way down, high fiving several fans as she walks along ringside before taking a seat at commentary and placing a headset over her ears with the Answers World Championship in front of her.)

Cameron Ella Ava: Pleasure is all mine. Besides, as overstated as this is, it’s always good to see my opponents up close and personal before a big match.

Eve: Speaking of, your upcoming opponents will be out in a bit but here comes your opponent from King of Elite. What was it like to be inside the ring with Xander?
Cameron Ella Ava: Xander Payne is nothing short of a monster. For all the flack we give him about his weight, he puts all of that weight behind every move he makes. I came out with the win that night but I was pretty banged up. But as far as tonight goes, I don’t know how I see him operating as a part of a unit. Even back when he had a full time tag partner he spent more time driving head first into problems than he did actually working as a team.
(Xander gets right up to the ring apron before his music cuts and is replaced by “R U Mine?” by Arctic Monkeys as Jake Smith walks out to boos just the same.)
Cameron Ella Ava: Best of luck to Jake on this matchup, I think he may need it with his teammate.
Deadprez: Actually, Cameron, I think Jake brings a significant advantage. He’s been something of a tag team specialist in his career, reminiscent of the old days of someone like Jack Ripley. Sure, he’s not won a tag championship yet, but he’s been someone who has managed to gel with various partners throughout his time here.
Eve: That may be, but I think Cameron may be on the money. Because while Jake is right at home in tag scenarios, all of the partners he’s managed to gel with have also been willing to work with him.
